Starting point is 00:00:00 Get ready to hear the truth about America on a show that's not immune to the facts with your host, Dan Bongino. What do I understand about campaigns, politics in general? You know what? Life in general. Messaging, CEO marketing, company marketing, winning elections. It's all the same thing. What is it? Snapshots and soundbites. It is. You don't understand that. You're in the wrong space. People think in chunks, nuggets, chapters. Nobody reads the whole book at the same time.
Starting point is 00:00:31 They think in storylines. But storylines even have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Why? Why don't they just slam the whole thing at you in five minutes? Because people don't think like that. I'll show you what I mean in relationship to even a really current tragedy right now. And just a quick PSA for you in the beginning. like that. I'll show you what I mean in relationship to even a really current tragedy right now. And just a quick PSA for you in the beginning. Senator Joe Lieberman died yesterday. A guy who was probably one of the last not crazy Democrats out there. I mean, Democrats are Democrats,

Kind of important, correct? I'll show you what I mean coming up. Again, stay tuned. Big show. Patriot Mobile.

Starting point is 00:02:37 You know, sad. He fell. If you follow the show, you know not to get all depressing in the beginning, but lost my mom just a week ago, basically. Same thing. She was only 71, totally unexpected. At about, you know, midnight or so, she fell in her apartment in New York City, and they found her at the bottom of the stairs. Folks, I'm going to tell you something, and I really mean this. This is not a health and fitness show. This is not Huberman's podcast. I love it. I really mean this. This is not a health and fitness show. This is not Huberman's podcast. I love it.
Starting point is 00:03:08 I listened to it. We dressed that yesterday. But I'm into health and fitness. I've been through a lot of health traumas in my life. If you were over the age of 40 and you were not focusing on your leg strength, and I'm not talking about you got to be Tom Platz and go to the gym and have, you know, 75-inch thighs. That's not what I'm talking about at all. I'm talking about just basic leg strength, some air squats, some balance work. You're going
Starting point is 00:03:30 to run into trouble. One of the leading causes of death for people in their senior years is falling. And you can look at a direct correlation between the likelihood you're going to die and the lack of your leg strength. The less leg strength you have, the more likely you're going to die and the lack of your leg strength. The less leg strength you have, the more likely you are going to die. Kind of an inverse correlation. More likely, less likely to die. More leg strength you have. You've got to train your legs.
Starting point is 00:03:56 All right, enough. I'm not your doctor or anything. I'm just saying. A lot of people as they get older, they train push-ups. They'll do the upper body. They avoid the legs. Big, huge mistake. We don't know exactly what happened with Lieberman,
Starting point is 00:04:10 but make sure you're working on your balance. So, ladies and gentlemen, we lost a hero the other day, Officer Diller from the MIPD. As many of you know, I was a police officer and a police cadet with the MIPD for a couple of years. And it was a transformative job in my life. It was a car stop. And as any police officer can tell you, the two probably most dangerous scenarios you're ever going to get in when you're a police officer are domestic violence situations which break bad like that. You got a husband who's been beating up his wife,
Starting point is 00:04:45 who's in an emotionally crazed state, and you get in between them. These things break bad. It was the one time I got literally assaulted. A guy hit me with an ironing board trying to attack his wife in East New York, Brooklyn. And my partner had to get him off me with his, uh, with his nightstick, how to like grab them under the arm. But the, another one is car stops. And there's a reason you are walking up to a box. You can't see into, it is like a shoe box. You don't see anything. You are by nature reacting when you walk up to someone on the street. And that's why you say, you can, I, you know, can I see your hands? If they move, you move. You can see what they're doing. In a car, that dude rolls down the window like this with some
Starting point is 00:05:31 tints on, that's it, bang, you're dead. You have zero chance of getting your firearm in time. That's not exactly what happened here, but it was a car stop scenario. We lost this heroic officer, and folks, just an unbelievable, again, lack of leadership. This is not a political situation. It's a tragedy. However, you got Donald Trump, who I've told you a thousand times, has this natural impulse to want to care for people. When my mom died, he was one of the first people who called.
Starting point is 00:06:02 I mean, that's just who he is. He's going to the wake today for this officer because that's his impulse to do that. And what's Joe Biden doing? In New York City, he's hosting a $25 million fundraiser with Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Lizzo. Folks, how many times do I have to tell you? Snapshots and soundbites. This is the snapshot he wants? Donald Trump solemn at a weight comforting the family of this hero
Starting point is 00:06:31 while he's sitting there listening to Lizzo music with Barack Obama and Bill Clinton? Is Bill Clinton going to go in the back room with one? This is a snapshot you want? How many times do I got to tell you that? Nobody understands the soundbite and the snapshot better than Trump. And by the way, I'm not even remotely suggesting he's doing this for political reasons. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I didn't even put that in the show. Oh, Mindy Kaling. And look, look at that back to back. Lizzo, Mindy Kaling. Who's Mindy Kaling? And I don't even know who he's being with. Ben Platt. I have no idea. and look, look at that back to back. Lizzo, Mindy, who's Mindy Kaling? And I don't even know who he's being with, Ben Platt. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Oh, she had no office? Okay. So great, fantastic. Look at Trump. Trump expected to attend Wade because that's just who he is. I mean, it's amazing that this guy, Joe Biden, has been in politics for 472 years and doesn't have the impulse to at least want to comfort these people. Pathetic. It really is. Pathetic.
Starting point is 00:07:36 So I always ask you not to jump to conclusions on things because it's important. Ladies and gentlemen, you are conservatives. You have to be right every time. I'm sorry. I'm deeply sorry it is that way. Again, I'm not saying it's correct. Everyone should be able to get a mulligan. Conservatives, we don't have that. We have an allegiance to truth. I talked about it yesterday.
Starting point is 00:07:55 When you have an allegiance to truth, unlike the left where they have their truth, right, we have to be right all the time. Therefore, I always beg of people, just give a story some time. This bridge story has sparked a thousand different theories of what happened. We have to be right all the time. Therefore, I always beg of people, just give a story some time. This bridge story has sparked a thousand different theories of what happened. The reason you want to hold is we don't have the variables yet. It's trying to solve a math equation without any variables at all. X plus Y plus Z equals nine.
Starting point is 00:08:22 You know how many different permutations of that there are? We don't know yet. Let's find out what X plus Z and Y are, and then we can figure out Z, and we can get to the answer. The NTSB did a presser last night. Folks, they haven't even listened to this black box yet. Apparently, these craft have black boxes on them where they can listen to the traffic. They haven't listened to it yet.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Apparently, there's some alarm noise in the background, so they have to filter that out. The government's very inefficient at stuff, of course, and they haven't even interviewed the pilots yet. I want you to listen to about 30 seconds of this presser where a bunch of people are like, wait, you haven't interviewed the pilots of this watercraft yet? Seriously?
Starting point is 00:09:03 But this is how the government works. This is why I tell everyone, slow, take it easy. Check this out. So you've not listened to the recording? I have not, no. That's our recording group that does that. On the alarm information, just to add to that, we have the logs and we'll go through that. But when we provide the transcript, a lot more will be on the transcript, which we will read out during the course of the investigation, Tom. Have you spoken to the pilot at this point? We are, the question is, have we spoken with the pilot? There were two pilots on board at the time,
Starting point is 00:09:43 and those interviews are scheduled for tomorrow. Folks, they haven't even spoken to the pilot of this ship yet, the pilots. Here's another reason I'm begging everyone to just take it easy on this. Take it slow. on this. Take it slow. I got some information last night from a source, let's say, who is very familiar with the entire industry. Ladies and gentlemen, and if I'm wrong in the Rumble chat, please correct me. Say, hey, I know better. I'm in the industry. If any of this is inaccurate, I have no reason to believe it is, or I wouldn't tell you if I thought it was inaccurate. He said, listen, the shipping industry is ridiculously competitive. They will do the minimum they can to keep these things seaworthy and
Starting point is 00:10:30 relatively safe. They will not take any additional measures outside of what they have to do to keep these things floating and not sinking. Many of them, Logan Axe stuff and all of a sudden are piloted by foreign flagged crews. Some of them who the level of competence may be the maintenance on these things. Again, enough to keep them going, but they're not going to go above and beyond. So the source was like, hey, man, my and believe me, this is a guy who's got an open mind. It's like my take on it, 90% it's an accident. So we'll see. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:11:12 There's nothing wrong with just holding and waiting. But that information to me was critical. Once you understand the dynamics of this and how these things are not really maintained that well, this is a very, very competitive industry, and there's not a ton of people on these ships. I mean, think about it. An airline, you've got this little tiny tube,
Starting point is 00:11:34 and you've got flight attendants. You know, you've got a mechanic taking care of it. You've got two pilots. You've got this monster ship. Some foreign flag crews. Just everyone take it easy on him. We'll see what the story will come out when it comes to it. All right, enough of that.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Enough of that. So this happened on The View yesterday. I'm only throwing this in there because it's an example of a debating tactic I need you to be familiar with prior to the election because you're going to get hit with a bunch of bullshit from your liberal friends and you got to be able to fire back. This is brilliant. This is this guy, Coleman Hughes, I would say Coleman Hughes. I mean, he's on, uh, he's on the view and he wrote this
Starting point is 00:12:08 book about moving society past this basically obsession with race into a more kind of colorblind society where we judge people on character. It's a very controversial idea because the left loves judging people on their skin color. I mean, that's their very guiding ethos. If they don't have a bunch of victims where they can blame racism and skin color, then they don't have an ideology and they don't have power. So he's on The View with Sonny Hostin. Well, I have had many conversations with Sonny Hostin when I was doing commentary at other networks. I'm going to tell you something. She wasn't always this crazy. The woman has gone completely mad on The View. She's talking to this guy who, if you're listening on audio only, happens to be black, which again, doesn't matter to
Starting point is 00:12:49 conservatives, but liberals are obsessed with this idea. And the guy writes the book about not being so divisive with race talk, right? And she throws out at him, you're going to hear this conversation in the middle because it went on for like, you know, six minutes or so with this panel. in the middle because it went on for like, you know, six minutes or so with this panel. She throws out at him that, hey, you talking about colorblindness, you know, people being, which is a good thing, correct, folks? We don't want to judge people by the color of their skin. Not a controversial idea. She's like, I think you could be a pawn for the right. This is going to hit you. You're going to be debating a liberal sometime. You are, especially if you're in politics. He is just, this is a masterclass in how to answer any of these questions.
Starting point is 00:13:38 There's no evidence for that. Watch how when he asks her for evidence, she completely collapses. Oh, and one more. She does the ad hominem. Other people are saying, no one's saying anything. She just made this up. Check up check this out i think it's very important the quote that you just pointed out about doing something special for the negro that's from the book why we can't wait that that i just mentioned yes a couple paragraphs later he lays out exactly what that something special was and it was the bill of rights for the disadvantaged a broad class-based. But he also says you must include race. No, he didn't. He says it's a... Yes, he does.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Okay, well, everyone should go read the book Why We Can't Wait. Let's not get sidetracked by that. Yeah. I don't think I've been co-opted by anyone. I've only voted twice, both for Democrats. Although I'm an independent, I would vote for a Republican, probably a non-Trump Republican if they were compelling.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I don't think there's any evidence I've been co-opted by anyone, and I think that that's an ad hominem tactic people use to not address really the important conversations we're having here. And I think it's better, and it would be better for everyone if we stuck to the topics rather than make it about me. It's not about you, but I want to give you the opportunity to respond to the criticism. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:14:45 There's no evidence that I've been co-opted by anyone. I have an independent podcast. I work for CNN as an analyst. I write for the free press. I'm independent in all of these endeavors. And no one is paying me to say what I'm saying. I'm saying it because I feel it. Folks, that's a master class on how this is done.
Starting point is 00:15:04 An absolute master class. Sunny Hostin doesn't know what to do. She's embarrassed. She's back in the seat. Look at her body language. Look at the micro expressions. She doesn't know what to do because she realizes she just got owned and wrecked, completely destroyed on her own show. She tries an old school trick liberals do all the time. Other people are saying, ask who? That's the only thing I would change. Who said that? Who's the other people? No, no. I'd like, I'd appreciate if you could name that. They won't. They have no names. They make that up. When they say other people are saying it's because they don't want to own what they're saying. Cause they know they're about to throw something out there.
Starting point is 00:15:36 They just made up, which they don't want to own. So they put it on other people. But second, when she says something, which has no evidence whatsoever, I never met this guy in my life, Coleman Hughes. I have no idea who he is. I don't know his politics at all. I personally don't care. If he's writing a book about how to end racial division, I'm interested. I don't care if you're a liberal or a conservative. I want to end racial division. When she throws out there this bullshit talking point, I think you're being used as a pawn. Other people said so. And he comes out, there's no evidence at all. Do you notice how she completely shuts up? Because
Starting point is 00:16:09 if she had the evidence, she would have produced the evidence. I throw that at the beginning of the show, just so you understand these debating tools that are going to become important as we close in an election and you start getting verbally assaulted by liberals
Starting point is 00:16:25 when you're out there as an activist or anything else. One of the other things I talk about a lot on the show, which we haven't brought up this segment in a long time because I don't like to beat segments to death or else they lose their efficacy, is people change their voting behavior. I mean really change their voting behavior. I'm talking about mass changes
Starting point is 00:16:45 in the country, not one or two point voter differences from transfer to Democrats or Republican or vice versa. I'm talking about big shifts, shifts like we witnessed in the Reagan years, shifts like I witnessed in New York with Rudy Giuliani, when a bunch of Democrats finally voted Republican. People will only change their voting behavior when things get bad enough that it's at their kitchen table. You need to understand this. Any issue you talk about, if you are an activist or a politician, which many of you now 95,000 people watching are, you need to make an issue bleed for someone. It has to feel personal. There has to be a finger stick for them. You get this because this segment will make no sense.
Starting point is 00:17:35 When I say, is it bad enough yet? You have to make an issue relatable to people. I had this friend, Brian, he ran for office one time, and he was very good at the whole political thing, even though he was a novice at it. Very good. And one of the things he used to say is, you know, my biggest beef with Republicans is they walk in a methadone clinic and they want to talk about the Laffer curve.
Starting point is 00:17:59 The Laffer curve is a really important thing to understand if you want to understand tax policy. However, if a guy's struggling with a heroin addiction, that doesn't bleed for him, okay? His life is in shambles. He wants to know how you discussing crime and tax is going to help him. And Republicans have a really, really hard time doing that.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Democrats are just better at it. But we've been getting better at it. The genius of Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott, the governors of Florida and Texas, respectively, sending illegal immigrants to liberal areas was it made the policy a finger stick for locals who, as much as you wanted to talk about the obvious danger illegal immigration poses to the country, it didn't bleed for them, man. It wasn't a finger stick because they never saw it. It's stuff like this that makes it real. These are the kind of stories you have to spread around because they're real and they make the finger stick real too.
Starting point is 00:19:05 New York City begins handing out prepaid debit cards to migrants in a controversial program, New York Post. Controversial, you think? Can you imagine you walk in the country and you get a $350 prepaid debit card paid for by you, the citizens, and your first act in the country is to come here illegally. It's bad enough when these issues start to hit you and become a finger stick.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Remember the finger stick analogy. Don't ever talk to liberals or independents about issues if you don't feel like you can make it a finger stick. Talking about, oh, listen, the illegal immigration and we've had this and the number compared to that. You need to ask people questions and prod in a way that it feels like they need to talk about it at their kitchen table.
Starting point is 00:20:00 That's why I always used to say to Geraldo, when I debate Geraldo on the matter, did you ever notice on the air when I did that, I would always end this segment. I try to squeeze in, Geraldo, how many of these people have you taken in? It's a way to make it real. Oh, none. Okay, so you care enough about other people, it's just not about yourself. I got more on this topic, including a video at CNBC of all places.
Starting point is 00:20:23 And I'll show you what I mean, why Joe Biden is in a lot of trouble in this election. The issues that matter most that are the biggest finger sticks, he's getting absolutely annihilated in the polls. Quick break. Beams, dream powder. I slept like a champion last night. For some reason, I got a lot of deep sleep last night. I must have been really exhausted.
Starting point is 00:20:40 I took Beams Dream Powder. It's going to revolutionize your nighttime routine. Get a restful slumber. Sleep is when your body heals, especially that calming deep sleep you needed. There are a lot of sleep cycles. Deep sleep is super important. You know me. Had a great night's sleep. I woke up this morning like ready to rock and roll.
Starting point is 00:21:47 The Oro Ring, check my sleep score. It was an 88 last night, which for me is pretty money. That's good, right? The best one I've had in the last few months, in case you're interested. Evita, you ever do the sleep tracking? Well, you better start, man. She says she's not a good sleeper. That's no good. You got to like drain the brain. That's how it is. That's why you finished 45th. If you would have slept better in the Dungeons and Dragons,
Starting point is 00:22:12 you would have done better. He blew it. Folks, he totally blew it. He's usually like a top five guy, and now he's like falling off the charts. He's not even a first-round draft pick anymore in Dungeons and Dragons. Okay, back to the show because that's me, Captain Distraction. Issues got to bleed. And let me throw this out to the audience.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Chatsters, you get the first crack at it because you're in the chat. What do you think are the issues that bleed the most for people that are real finger sticks? Really? Is it the capital gains tax rate? That means a lot to me because a lot of my wealth is in stock. But honestly, you think that issue bleeds for most people? Probably not.
Starting point is 00:22:52 It's a limited number of people who would place that top three. Crime, number one, yes. Immigration, yes, in specific areas. These are the issues that hurt the economy in general. Inflation, absolutely, 100%. This does not bode well for Joe Biden. The only reason I'm playing this, by the way, is this is on CNBC.
Starting point is 00:23:17 If CNBC's like, dude, this guy's behind on almost every issue, you got a freaking problem. Check this out. Let's look at who voters think have the best policies on these issues. Let's go. Overall economy, the fourth most important issue. Donald Trump has a 30 point lead on that. Crime tied for fourth, 28 point lead for Trump. Inflation, the most important issue, 27 point for Donald Trump. Healthcare, Biden has a 19 point advantage on that. And the middle class, that's a place, as Wolf was talking about, where there is some battle right there. Who has the best policies for the middle class?
Starting point is 00:23:58 Let's go to the second tier of issues, which aren't all that far down, but they're not in the top five. Immigration, 48-point lead for Donald Trump. Taxes, 32 for Trump. China, 28 for Trump. Come to abortion, a 25-point lead for President Biden. And Social Security, another potential battleground area. Folks, economy, crime, and inflation, Donald Trump is up by double digits, and the economy's up by 30 points. This is not an excuse to not get out and vote and any red wave stuff. Throw it out the window. I'm not interested at all. Don't talk about that here. But let's not be dumb either. The reason I talk about it, if these are the things the Trump campaign should be focused on
Starting point is 00:24:38 exclusively right now, the economy, crime and inflation, because their finger sticks, the economy affects everyone. Why? Because you're all in it. It's like everybody's stuck in a pool and like a kid pees in it. You're all in the same pool, man. It's not about the kid. It's about you.
Starting point is 00:24:53 That's the economy. Crime's an issue. Why? Because nobody wants to be afraid. That's why. It's very simple. Don't overcomplicate it. People want to walk down the street not feeling fear. If you feel fear, it's a negative thing. If you have someone to blame, you will, and it's very simple. Don't overcomplicate it. People want to walk down the street not feeling fear.
Starting point is 00:25:05 If you feel fear, it's a negative thing. If you have someone to blame, you will, and it's typically liberals because they're in charge of these crime-ridden cities. Inflation's everywhere. You see it every day. Everybody buys stuff, everyone, rich people, poor people, middle-class people. They know the prices are up. Why?
Starting point is 00:25:23 Because they see it every day. This guy is in real trouble. The numbers are horrible too. Everything's getting worse. Look at this tweet from this representative, Mark Green. The border's just a complete mess. The new February border numbers are out. Don't worry, folks. Here's the encounters at the border. We're only up 121% since February of 21. They're only up a cool 542% the Southwest border encounters. The office of field ops. Don't worry. No big deal, folks. And here's the problem. Here's the biggest problem I see in this election for oatmeal brains. He has no political skills at all. The easiest decision in the world for Joe Biden was to go and make
Starting point is 00:26:06 an appearance at this hero's wake today and do the right thing, not the easy thing. But because Joe Biden has no political skills at all, a guy who spent, what, 40 years? How long has he been in politics? Does anybody know? I don't even know. Is it 40, 50 years? Who the hell knows? This guy is doing a concert with Lizzo and Barack Obama. Why do you think I put this right after the poll segment? Crime. Crime. Donald Trump's up by like 25. What's an easy way to look tough on crime?
Starting point is 00:26:43 To be tough on crime. And what does he do? He goes to the Lizzo concert, Manhattan. The guy has no political skills at all, folks. Why did Barack Obama and Bill Clinton win reelection? Listen, I'm going to be candid with you. Take it or leave it. And if you're taking this as, you know, Dan, what are you, some kind of supporter of Barack Obama and Bill Clinton? Please, don't make me die, let my diaphragm spasm out. I'm a realist, though. Obama and Bill Clinton, Bill Clinton more so, because I worked with both of them, personally, up close. They both had very unique political skill sets. Joe Biden is another.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Bill Clinton, forget it. The master of politics. Never seen anything like it. The only one who rivals Clinton, forget it. The master of politics. Never seen anything like it. The only one who rivals Clinton is Donald Trump. Stupid policies, destructive policies. Tremendous political skills. The ability to BS like nothing I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Joe Biden has none of that. Just to tie it back, because I like to interweave the show with ideas, to the bridge collapse in the beginning. Folks, six people died, construction workers, which is one of the most dangerous jobs in America, construction work. I know many of you know that.
Starting point is 00:27:56 I talked about it yesterday. Six people died, and that Baltimore region is going to be, their economy is going to be wrecked over this. That is a huge thoroughfare. It's going to be, their economy is going to be wrecked over this. That is a huge thoroughfare. It's going to take years to recover. So Biden goes out and gives a speech on it the other day. And what does he do? What he does every freaking time, folks, he's got to make it about himself. Either his son Beau died, or he was a civil rights activist, or this time he claimed, oh yeah, I know that bridge so well because he's got to make it about himself because he's a freaking sociopath. He says he commuted by train many times over that bridge. Now, it was interesting. When I first heard that, producer Jim from the radio show said,
Starting point is 00:28:42 Dan, you drove over that bridge a lot. There's no train tracks, right? And Jim can tell you, I said, I don't think so. And I'm thinking, like, were there train tracks underneath? Did I miss them? New York Post, Biden claims he commuted over collapsed Baltimore Key Bridge by train many times, but it doesn't have any rail line. I'm sorry. He's right.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Jim, he wants to know if Xi Jinping was with him, and it was a 17,000-mile trip. And did they get to the Tibetan plateau? By the train that they did from India and Africa. Do you remember that one? Guy, it's a good point. You should put them all, compile those all together. That would all make sense.
Starting point is 00:29:24 This is where he took the train from India through Africa through the United States over the bridge with Xi Jinping and crossed the Tibetan plateau, and the whole trip was 17,000 miles. And they were going to visit Mandela, and they got arrested when they went to see it. And at the end, the trip ended with him driving a truck to a black church, but only the day after he was in the Jewish, the trip ended with him driving a truck to a black church,
Starting point is 00:29:45 but only the day after he was in the Jewish synagogue the night before. And by the way, he did some civil rights marches while they were there with Xi Jinping. And he wiped oil slicks off his window going to the civil rights march. Yeah, that's exactly what happened. Folks, all those stories are real. Real like they happened? No, they didn't happen. Real like he said they happened.
Starting point is 00:30:13 He's not making that up. That was a good point. You're a funny guy sometimes. You should apply that humor towards dungeons. Maybe you wouldn't, you know, maybe maybe you place in the top 10 next time come on that's what it is he's he's he's he wants to cry but he's laughing in pain because he was only 45 quick break no ticket splitting i've got an important election message for you coming up there will be no ticket splitting.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Chatsters, you know what ticket splitting is? Discuss. There will be none in this cycle. I saw a Washington Times article yesterday. It has me very disturbed. Is anybody in the chat considering voting for a Democrat down ballot? I hope not. Stay tuned because there's some evidence people are going to do that. And I still can't figure out why.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Why you would vote for Donald Trump and then put handcuffs on him when a Democrat Senate and a House that's going to impeach him right away is crazy. Okay, good. Thank you, Chuck. Quick break. Go get a kid's case. Why? Because emergencies happen. Say an emergency goes down. You get some kind of power outage or some pharmacies close. You get an infection. Starting point is 00:33:40 Bongino.com slash newsletter. Yes, it is. It's going to be now. Do not ticket split. Why would anyone do this? I don't understand. Folks slash newsletter. Yes, it is. It's going to be now. Do not ticket split. Why would anyone do this? I don't understand. Folks, listen, I get it. Let me just get a couple of things out of the way first. Totally understand. I am not a Republican. I'm a conservative. I'm a registered Republican. I had this guy. He's a nice guy. Listen to my podcast. I'll see him in the gym on Saturday. He told me he knows it's a true story. We were chatting a little bit. I think it's Jimmy from Yonkers. And he said, Dan, I'm a registered, I'm a registered independent
Starting point is 00:34:10 or something like that. I said, dude, that's a terrible idea. He said, why? I said, because you only get to vote once. I'd honestly rather you register Democrat and vote in their primary for the worst candidate. Why would you limit your voting? But the same, I get it. I am a registered Republican only because I like conservatism, but I'm not a Republican. I'm a conservative. Those aren't always the same thing. Republicans are not the solution to your problems. Get it. Two thumbs and understands it. This guy totally get it. However, however, we don't live in an easy world of black and white answers. We live in a world of gray. The whole field of ethics is the world of gray.
Starting point is 00:34:47 The cause of all your problems are Democrats, period. So you have two choices, the not solution or the cause. I'll take the not solution and make them the solution and get rid of the cause of my problems, right? The world can, I love the world. I love God, love my problems, right? The world can, I love the world. I love God, love my kids, love everything about it. However, the world can be a crappy place sometimes where you got to make crap decisions. No ticket splitting. Democrats, they rarely ticket split.
Starting point is 00:35:14 It happens, but it's rare because they stick together. Washington Times, split ticket voters spell bad news for Biden, but good news for Senate Democrats. Here's the gist of this, that in Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, Donald Trump has an edge in the polls and could win these states. But the Senate candidates who are Republicans are losing in a lot of these states. How is that? Folks, I got to ask you for something. And you got to like embrace this and take it as your mission. I can only vote once.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Obviously, I'm not a Democrat. Please, make sure when you're out there advocating, you're advocating not just for Trump in these swing states, but for the congressional and Senate candidates too. I'm going to tell you why. Forget even if you hate. I don't care who they are. I know who the candidates are in these states.
Starting point is 00:36:03 I'm not even going to mention by name because it doesn't matter. The Democrat running against them will absolutely vote in a Senate trial to remove Donald Trump from office because the House will impeach him. The minute he's elected, if there is a Democrat House and a Democrat Senate, there will be an impeachment and a trial. And whoever that Democrat is will 100% vote. I don't care who it is, Tester, all these fake, you know, moderates. They're not moderates. They're crazed, radical leftists. Voting for Trump and then splitting your vote is crazy. The Democrats, this happens, but it's very rare. Republicans, unfortunately, this happens a lot. Speaking of this, I told you I would cover this.
Starting point is 00:36:50 I have been really, you want to talk about making an issue a finger stick? This squatting issue's got people on fire. I don't think there's an issue I've received more emails about. People see this and they're like, how the hell do we live in a country where some tomato can loser can walk into your house and go, I live here now, and then call the cops on you. Folks, nobody likes asymmetries and unfairness. Nobody, even animals. I tell you, I never forget being in graduate school in psychology, and they're talking about some study or something where you give a dog so much food,
Starting point is 00:37:29 their stomach's going to explode. They don't even want food anymore. Yet you give another dog more food and not that dog, they lose their mind, even though they're not hungry. People hate unfairness. They hate it. Even animals hate unfairness. How the hell someone can walk into your house and take your house is the most bananas, crazy, batshit thing I've ever heard in my life.
Starting point is 00:37:49 We got a great governor down here in Florida, DeSantis, and we've got, to their credit, we've got a really great Florida state legislature too. So yesterday they basically passed this law and said, nah, that shit ain't going to fly in Florida. You better produce some documents that you have a legitimate lease or you're the one going to jail. He was DeSantis yesterday. I told you I'd cover this.
Starting point is 00:38:09 This needs to go viral around the country. Every state needs to do this. Check this out. We don't want the law to have the thumb on the scale in favor of people that are violating the law. We want the law to have the thumb on the scale in favor of law abiding property owners. And that's what you're going to see here with this piece of legislation. What you can do now, if you're the victim of squatting, you can simply fill out a form, give it to your local sheriff,
Starting point is 00:38:36 and the sheriff is instructed to go and remove the people who are inhabiting your dwelling illegally. And that will happen very quickly. Folks, I need you to understand something here. You know, when I say that, we're about to do a kind of a deeper dive. This whole squatting thing is not simply about a couple of homeowners and a couple of states that got screwed over. The story sucks.
Starting point is 00:39:00 I get it. Good on, good for Ron DeSantis and the Florida legislative for shutting that stuff down right away. But that's not the real story here. The real story here is this squatting phenomenon and where it started is a leftist decades long war on the very tenets of economic freedom and capitalism. I hesitate to do this segment. And if it sucks, let me know in the chat. But I've wanted to do this for a long time because it's one thing to talk about the news, but I've got to tie it to a bigger fight. The left, as you know, this part isn't new. The left has been eager to dismantle capitalism, free markets, and economic liberty for decades.
Starting point is 00:39:42 That's certainly not a shocker to any of you smart people in the chat. But there are ways to do it. And I'm going to just quickly walk you through why all of these stories I have here tie into a bigger fight. If you want to destroy capitalism, you have to destroy three things. Private property, the ability to trade your labor for a wage, to work for a wage and not to work for the government. And you have to destroy the price system because these are all central tenets of capitalism. There is no private property in socialism. People work for the government regardless of their labor
Starting point is 00:40:20 in a socialistic system. And the price system doesn't matter because the government determines prices. Do you see how squatting works for the left? So ask yourself the bigger question. When you're like, how the hell could this happen? That's crazy. The answer is because the left wants it to happen.
Starting point is 00:40:39 It is a direct war. They love this stuff on the idea of private property. If they can dismantle that and create a communal sense of property, air quotes, you don't have economic liberty if you don't own your own house. None of this is an accident, folks. What about the ability to trade your labor for a wage, to go to work, to go to work for a wage? They have to destroy the wage system because the wage system in capitalism is based on merit. A guy like, you know, Guy or Vito or Tony, you know, that has a specific skill set
Starting point is 00:41:14 is going to be paid for their skills. Socialists don't want merit. The government tells you what to do. You shut your mouth, you get your food tickets. Here's a story to show you how that works. Here's a big labor, national labor union, the SEIU. Historic, $25 an hour minimum wage for healthcare workers. Bill becomes law.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Why do you think the left wants a national $25? That lady, Barbara Lee, running for that position out in California. She was running for that. Was it Senate spot? She wanted a $50 an hour minimum wage. Why does the left do that? Oh, Dan,
Starting point is 00:41:50 cause they want people to get paid more. Yeah, sure. Sure. They do. That's not at all. What this is about. Squatting's about destroying your private property rights and these minimum wage pushes for these obscene wages,
Starting point is 00:42:03 $25 minimum wage. That these obscene wages? $25 minimum wage that's obscene. Do you know how much money that's going to cost employers to pay people who may or may not be worth that particular? If you have a lemonade stand that produces $10 an hour, how are you going to pay someone $25? This is basic economics. They act tactically. The war on wages is a way to disconnect the job market from actual merit. Everybody's going to get paid this floor. Well, what if they don't produce that? Doesn't matter. None of this is by accident.
Starting point is 00:42:40 One more and I'll move on because commies do commie stuff. I told you the last thing is they have to dismantle the price system. They want rationing. Government gives stuff out. Come to the Soviet Union bread line. There are no prices. White House fact sheet. Biden-Harris administration announces new actions to lower health care
Starting point is 00:43:02 and prescription drug costs by promoting competition. Price controls for drugs. What is the Biden-Harris administration? A guy who's lied to you over and over about everything, anything of substance, and a woman who can't stop cackling. What do they know about the drug industry? The answer is a big fat zero. So how do they know how to price products they know nothing about? They don't. They'll never know anything about the pricing system. They only want to destroy it.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Because it's one of the three tenets of capitalism. Prices, wages, and private property. And if you can dismantle those three things, socialism walks right in the back door. None of this is by accident, folks. None of it. I'll, folks. None of it. I'll throw one other thing in there. Any spending of resources, money, time, they want run through the government.
Starting point is 00:43:56 That's why they love debt. Why does Joe Biden constantly spend more money and push for more money? Put up the CNBC one first. The U.S. national debt's rising by about $1 trillion every 100 days. Why? Because communists and socialists like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to destroy capitalism and want all resources spent by the government. But here's the thing. That's inherently unpopular, just like squatting,
Starting point is 00:44:19 so they have to lie about it. Here's Joe Biden. Here is a hat tip RNC research. Here is Joe Biden lying again and again. tip RNC research. Here is Joe Biden lying again and again. I just showed you the CNBC piece. Why don't you CNBC? Because they're a left leaning outlet. The debt's rising by 1 trillion every 100 days. I didn't make that up. Joe Biden is running up historic amounts of debt. So where does he get off saying he cut the debt and the deficit over and over? He's just lying, folks. There's no complicated answer.
Starting point is 00:44:46 He's just making it up because he's a sociopath, just like he lied about crossing a bridge on a train with no train tracks. Check this out. I cut the national debt by $1,700,000,000. We literally cut the federal debt in half by $1.4 trillion. $1,700,000,000. $1,700,000,000 cut. We cut the debt by $1.7 billion in the last two years. Let me say that again. $1.7 trillion. I reduced the budget by $1.7 billion. I reduced the debt. We cut the federal debt in half.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Fact. In the first two years of my administration, I cut the debt by $1.7 trillion. $1.7 billion. $1.7 trillion. $1.7 trillion. $1.7 trillion. $7 billion.
Starting point is 00:45:42 $1.7 trillion. $1.7 billion dollars. 1.7 trillion dollars. 1.7 billion dollars. It's a trillion, trillion, trillion dollars. Not billion, trillion dollars. 1.7 trillion dollars. Hear me? No one's ever reduced the debt that much.
Starting point is 00:46:01 No, no one has, including you. Ladies and gentlemen, he's just making it up. I just showed, Tony, can you put the CNBC thing up again just one more time in case there's liberals watching who think I'm making this up? The US national debt is rising by $1 trillion about every 100 days. Just for comparison, the Barack Obama, remember the stimulus, the Barack Obama stimulus program that was supposed to rescue us? When we ran a trillion dollar deficit, everybody freaked out and thought, oh my gosh, this is the craziest thing I've ever seen. It's now doing that every hundred days. He hasn't cut anything. He's full of shit. The guy's just lying. Thankfully, though, we have really stupid enemies who are losing control of the whole
Starting point is 00:46:39 media infrastructure, hence their obsession with AI. They're afraid artificial intelligence is going to lap the media and start telling people the truth. That AI is going to run some kind of, so let's say you're on Twitter, which is really the public square now. Everybody, all the politicians and people are on Twitter, right? X now it's called. They're afraid Grok, their AI system, is going to destroy all this BS. But thank God for
Starting point is 00:47:05 stupid enemies. You guys remember the rain tax in Maryland? This was a big story. They trot out the same stupid ideas the left all the time. There was this story in Vox. I was going to cover this the other day. I lived in Maryland. I ran for officer twice. Just going back to the beginning of the show, because again, we like to tie everything together. Fingers stick issues, man. If you can't make an issue, stick someone's finger and bleed, then it's not a good issue for politics. I'm not telling you it's not a good issue
Starting point is 00:47:35 and you shouldn't be involved in it. I'm telling you, you got to learn to frame that issue so it hurts when you talk about it to people. This is important for a second. How did Democrats lose Maryland? Meet the rain tax. I want you to note the date on this article. It's the most important part by Maddie Iglesias. It's from 2014. Now, I remember this because I was running in Maryland when this happened. The rain tax was a tax in Maryland on, wasn wasn't a literal tax on the rain it was a tax on
Starting point is 00:48:07 the amount of impervious surface this is the kind of thing you're like damn the hell is this kind of stupid topic is this ladies and gentlemen republicans in maryland were smart they made that issue bleed they made it bleed they called it the rain tax because if it rained and it was run off on the impervious surface you would be taxed on the amount of impervious surface everybody hated it everybody was going around their house like how much concrete do I have business owners were calling me when I was running for office going I'm gonna get a thousand dollar bill for my flat roof because it's flat. This is the craziest thing. And what happened? Because Maryland Republicans back then made it bleed. Larry Hogan became a governor there. Why am I bringing this up now?
Starting point is 00:48:58 Showing you liberals never let anything die. You know, Canada's talking about doing this exact same thing. Justin Trudeau, you would think he'd read this article. Like, they have political consultants. You can look it up. Nope. They will push and push and push because they never stop. You can never stop either.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Check this out. Is there a rain tax coming to the city of Toronto? That's what's now running on social media. It's not official, but officials are looking at it. Here are the details. It's called a stormwater charge. I have one in Mississauga. The more flat pavement you have, the more rain runoff will happen,
Starting point is 00:49:37 the more you might get taxed. And other municipalities around the province do have this. Folks, they never stop. You can't stop either. The fact that it's a stupid idea is never going to stop the left. How you respond is you've got to make the thing a damn finger stick. The rain tax, the rain tax, the rain tax. People hated that thing in Maryland. It shifted the entire Maryland political ecosystem for eight years. Hogan actually won reelections, running for Senate now and has a decent shot. I'm no fan of the guy. However, he's better than the alternative. Speaking of which, this election
Starting point is 00:50:09 coming up. One of the other things I repeat so often on the show, you're probably tired of hearing it, but when you're tired of hearing it, I know I need to say it more because it's that important, is ladies and gentlemen, people are policy. People are policy. We've had a lot of complaints about the RNC earned over the years. Listen, they screwed me over in some of my races, too. The RNC has been a mess. That is the Republican National Committee. Without getting into a deep dive about why that organization has been increasingly less useful,
Starting point is 00:50:41 they finally got someone over there who cares, Laura Trump, who understands it and is a great communicator. She did an interview last night, and although we're not even close to fixing the voting system yet, at least we got someone now, a person, because people are policy, Laura Trump, who's starting to take this stuff seriously. I want you to listen to this segment she did in an interview, talking about lawsuits and fixing these voting systems. Because if you can't fix who counts the vote in a lot of these corrupt states, we're going to have a problem. Check this out.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Well, I think we're past that. I think that's in the past. We learned a lot. Certainly, we took a lot of notes. Right now, we have 23 states that have 78 lawsuits in these states to ensure that it is harder to cheat and easier to vote. And every single person, whether you're a Republican or Democrat, should want that. We want fairness and transparency in our elections. The past is the past. And unfortunately, we had to learn a couple of
Starting point is 00:51:35 hard lessons in 2020. She's right. We got to fix how we count the vote, folks. We've had some serious problems here in the past, and as I've said before, and this is something you need to really, really take into and embrace and internalize. The biggest problem we're going to have are swing states with big liberal cities. That's the biggest problem. Voter fraud's a problem everywhere, period. I get it. I understand. I don't need a lecture on it.
Starting point is 00:52:04 I believe I lost one of my races because of fraud, but that's a whole other story. Not worth revisiting here. But voter fraud in California is a huge problem. However, for the national political scene, voter fraud in Philadelphia is an enormous problem because Pennsylvania is a swing state. Can we go to the JD article about revolver?
Starting point is 00:52:29 Let's skip ahead quick. I want to talk, while we're talking turkey here about the election. This is something I haven't addressed because people here, you want to know why? Well, what? Tell us what you're going to address first. Personnel selections if trump wins the presidency the reason i don't address this a lot of my show folks is becomes a lot of palace
Starting point is 00:52:52 intrigue number one uh and secondly you would be surprised how people have very fragile egos in this business can evita you're in the business a lot can you attest to what i'm saying like people have very fragile if you don't like kiss their ass Can you attest to what I'm saying? People have very fragile... If you don't kiss their ass, they're like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. They wet their diaper. You got to change them and stuff. That's why I don't get into all this palace intrigue BS.
Starting point is 00:53:14 But Trump's VP is super important. I want to give you a couple of reasons. Let's talk turkey about a really important issue. The VP, the vice presidential pick and who it should be. First, a few things on this, and I want you to take this to heart here, okay? Number one, this vice president pick matters little, but matters a lot.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Matters little? What are you talking about? The whole Brave's Heart style whole, just... Why does it matter little? It matters little because everyone voting for Trump is pretty much voting for Trump. There are some election cycles where a vice presidential candidate can really electrify the base and maybe give you a slight bump in a swingy state or whatever. Folks, come on.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Chatsters, back me up on this one. You know people who are voting for Trump are not voting for a vice presidential pick. Unless Ronald Reagan resurrects himself from the dead and joins the ticket, it's really not going to make a difference. So in that respect, I think politically it matters little. Therefore, the Hippocratic Oath should apply, which is do no harm first. Because if it's not going to really help you, it's not. Everybody's like, oh, he's got to pick a woman.
Starting point is 00:54:31 He's got to pick a minority candidate. He's got to pick someone competent, period. First, just do no harm. Don't hurt the ticket with one of these risky picks that some, you know, renegade focus group guy, oh, pick this guy with the biker jacket. No, no, don't do any of that. Because it's not going to matter a lot on the upside. But it matters.
Starting point is 00:55:00 So I said in the beginning it matters a little, but it matters a lot. Well, why does it matter a lot? It matters a lot because Donald Trump's going to be a one-term president if he wins. And if the economy turns around and Donald Trump does what I know he can do, he'll have a glide path to his VP becoming his successor, who could then serve for two more terms. Folks, it's happened in modern history. We had Reagan, Reagan, Bush.
Starting point is 00:55:29 I mean, they weren't necessarily, you know, at least the Bushy or the greatest Republican ever afterwards. But however, we have done this before. You could have Trump, you know, person X, person X. I bring it up because Darren Beattty will be on my radio show later about the January 6th incident, some news he's got there. But he thinks J.D. Vance could be the best pick. Chatsters, I don't know what you think.
Starting point is 00:55:54 I'd love to hear you chime in on this one. But I've got to tell you, at this point, I agree. I think J.D. is probably – just go back to what I said. The pick is going to matter a little bit matter a lot. J.D. is not a particularly polarizing figure that people are going to go, oh, screw it. Now I'm definitely leaving Trump. He's got a good amount of respect, even amongst the establishment crowd who reluctantly agrees he knows his stuff. amount of respect, even amongst the establishment crowd who reluctantly agrees he knows his stuff. He's definitely a MAGA guy. I got behind him fully in his Senate race. He knows the issues and he creates a nice contrast in personality with Donald Trump. I think these two could really tear it up. He's from Ohio, obviously a swingy state trending red. He knows his stuff. He fits all the criteria. Really? Why?
Starting point is 00:56:48 Why? Why do you, why? Chatsers, why are you, listen, I'm giving you my opinion. I'm all yours. But Tulsa, no, no, Tulsa, no. I like Byron too, but you know, Byron's from Florida. Trump's from Florida. Folks, remember this, do no harm first.
Starting point is 00:57:05 This chat's really terrible. I love Mark Robinson. We need him in North Carolina. He's running for governor right now. And folks, some of these other picks, you're like, and I love you guys, but remember, it matters little, but matters a lot. Don't take a chance. I saw some of the names.
Starting point is 00:57:22 They're great people. I love them. But these are people who they could, that could break bad fast. J.D.'s a reliable pick from a swing state. He's not going to hurt you. He could be president tomorrow. I love Rand Paul. I would love to see Rand Paul do it.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Rand Paul would be fantastic. But I'm not sure, you know, that's something Rand Paul would be into. But this is a conversation. Man, this is tearing up the chat. You know what's so funny? Like yesterday, I'm putting together, you know, that's something Rand Paul be into, but this is a conversation, man, this is tearing up the chat. You know, it's so funny. Like yesterday I'm putting together the end of the show. I'm like, you think anybody cares about this topic? I do.
Starting point is 00:57:50 It was like the most we've had in the chat forever. This is the craziest thing. I swear I threw this in at the end because I hate talking personnel palace intrigue. I didn't think you guys would be into it. Damn bunch. You know, you don't want like too much trouble. All right, folks. Thanks again for tuning in. You don't want me. I'm too much in trouble. Alright, folks. Thanks again
