Starting point is 00:01:45 today okay right off the top the whole thing is what the hell happened in our country last night And is Vince wearing black because it's a funeral? Yeah, kind of. I am sort of as a result. At least I was getting dressed this morning. What do I put on? A black shirt. I don't like the outcome of yesterday's election at all.
Starting point is 00:02:08 I'm not in any way enjoying the fact that in the headline races in places like Virginia, New Jersey, New York City, California, Democrats pulled off a, not a clean sweep, a dirty sweep of these elections. No question about it. But let me pull the lens back for a moment and let's just think about the context of all of this. One, it is true that in any political election, regardless of the moment, the party that's in power, as in the party that's controlling the White House and the Senate and the House, they do have the most difficult task when it comes to these midterm and off-year elections. The party that's out of power has all the pent-up frustration and energy and desire to use what little chances they have at the polls to try and claw back. their way towards power. That is the case here. Democrats got their asses handed to them in 2024 by President Trump and the coalition that he built, the coalition that includes you, great American
Starting point is 00:03:09 voters who want to fix our country. Remember, every county in the country moved in Trump's direction. There were New York Times maps showing red arrows dramatically headed towards President Trump and his coalition. It was a massive, massive victory. So with that success comes a mid-year, an off-year election, 2025. And so, yes, you will see energy for Democrats. Additionally, something else to remember. Again, all in context, but there's some serious lessons here that we need to take from this as we chart a path forward. You have blue states.
Starting point is 00:03:45 These are all blue states we're talking about, these headline elections. California is as blue as it gets. Prop 50, losing the Prop 50 fight there? This is the election rigging ballot initiative that Gavin Newsom was pushing in order to redraw the maps to try and make it so that there are fewer Republican congressmen. Yeah, he succeeded in that election rigging scheme yesterday because the state is deeply blue. They just had enough Democrat voters to rig the election. That's as straightforward as it gets.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Were there Republicans, conservatives, decent people who are trying to stop that from happening? Absolutely. And they continue to live in California and they've been long suffering. Long gone are the days of Ronald Reagan and Pete Wilson. No, things have changed quite a bit in California and for the worse. So California will continue its dissent in light of all of that Democrat corruption and governance. But then, of course, look at the other states that we're talking about yesterday. New Jersey, Virginia, New York City.
Starting point is 00:04:46 In each of these elections, you are talking about very blue areas. And yes, that includes Virginia. like it or not, thanks to the massive, massive population growth of northern Virginia desperately intertwined with the federal government, Virginia is a blue state. In fact, Glenn Yonkin and company, Glenn Yonkin, the Republican governor of Virginia right now, soon to leave. The reason he got the job at all is because Democrats face planted so substantially four years ago that it was Glenn Yonkin's ability to ride in on their failures. Terry McAuliffe, his Democrat opponent, should probably have won that election.
Starting point is 00:05:27 But McColliffe made a massive mistake in the final closing days of the election, where he stepped up and he said that parents have no right to be a part of their children's education. Well, because of Glenn Yonkin's talented use of that moment, he was able to come into office, riding a wave of parental anger against the Democrats. That's just how it worked. And this time, a less talented candidate existed in. Virginia. Lieutenant Governor Winston Sears is a good woman. She's a United States Marine, and I'll forever be grateful for her service in that way. But she's not as talented as a politician
Starting point is 00:06:03 as Glenn Yonkin. Ask anybody in Virginia, they'll tell you that. Also, what was her coalition? Not exactly clear. She spoke out against Donald Trump. She really treated him like crap early in the 2024 election. She eventually comes around, but lots of Trump supporters remember this. Her campaign was basically forgettable this campaign there weren't a lot of strong agenda items that she had to offer not not any that were memorable it was kind of that hey if you like the youngkin administration let's continue with her that's kind of it and as i've said um i think that she didn't make herself available to the people who she needed to in order to get their support she should have appeared on my show again i've talked about this at some length i don't say this as a matter of bitter
Starting point is 00:06:50 for resentment. I say this as a matter of political activism. We've got a huge audience, not only here on this podcast, but on the national radio show, and specifically in the Virginia area by virtue of the great radio station WMAL, on which I broadcast every single day. She should have been there. And it's not just my show. There are other shows that she should have probably done just to make herself more available, clearly. You know, in the waning days of the Virginia campaign, there were real opportunities available to her to be more. more present for parents, to be more aggressive against the sins of Democrats, against people like Jay Jones, the guy with the murderous fantasies, the attorney general nominee for Democrats who just
Starting point is 00:07:32 won the race, who just won the race to become the next attorney general of Virginia. There were some failures of the candidacy here in Virginia. That's true. New Jersey, also a blue state. Blue state. Jack Chitterelli, he didn't come close. There was hope he would. The polls certainly indicated that there was energy for him, but in the end, he didn't come close to that victory, a double-digit loss for Jack Chitarelli to Mikey Sherrill. And before I get to New York City, I want to dwell on Virginia and New Jersey for a moment and the lessons that are contained within those states. As I mentioned, they are blue states.
Starting point is 00:08:07 But when President Trump ran last year in both of those states, he came very close to winning them. President Trump's margins behind Kamala Harris in both Virginia and in New Jersey, were a lot closer than anyone expected. The Trump coalition is real and it's powerful. And in fact, long gone are the days that you had some sort of notion that, well, maybe you've got to run away from Trump, distant yourself from him, not actually embrace his agenda.
Starting point is 00:08:39 No, in fact, the only agenda that has demonstrated signs of both electoral success and coalition building and the ability to get low propensity voters out, is Donald Trump's agenda. In fact, if you're going to win in America today and defeat these Democrats, you have to follow the campaign strategy and agenda of the man who keeps winning. Donald Trump, it's clear. Winsome Sears should have fully embraced the Trump agenda, not run away from it, embraced it wholeheartedly.
Starting point is 00:09:15 Jack Chittarelli, by the way, tried in New Jersey. He did establish a kind of warm embrace for Trump. but in the end it wasn't enough. So what kind of difference make good we have had? Well, one, I do think, and again, we're just in the early hours after the election,
Starting point is 00:09:29 but I do think it's worth thinking about. Could President Trump himself have played a role in these elections in a bigger way? Well, certainly he could have opted to. Now, President Trump has, he's had a lot to do. He's got a busy presidential agenda. He's trying to establish world peace after all, peace deal after peace deal.
Starting point is 00:09:47 He's been busy battling out on all these trades. trade deals. He's been busy trying to secure our borders and eject illegal foreign nationals from our country. He's been busy trying to bring fuel prices down to restore our economy. He's definitely been busy as the president of the United States. But insofar as he can play a role in these elections, in places like Virginia and New Jersey, he came in kind of in the last minute. He definitely posted on Truth Social a lot, but he came in sort of at the last minute to do teletown halls to kind of assist these candidates from a distance. phone call in and tell people that they should support them.
Starting point is 00:10:22 He said over the course of the last week, especially on truth social, that people should be supporting Republicans because it'll help them get their energy prices down and the Democrats would be a nightmare if they continue to or if they establish control. He was, of course, right about those things. But if I'm the White House today,
Starting point is 00:10:38 one thing I might consider is it would be a good idea for President Trump to hit the campaign trail in support of candidates and tough races. The president's got a massive, massive coalition who support him. But they don't support every Republican, not reflexively. They need to be convinced that those Republicans are on Trump's team, support his agenda, are fighting for our country. And so this is an area where I do think that President Trump may have been able to play a very positive difference in increasing the odds that these guys
Starting point is 00:11:11 would get across the finish line. Again, I'm not pretending like it wasn't a tough situation. of course it's an off-year election Republicans are in control in Washington and these are blue states we're talking about so we shouldn't play a game of pretend like this was some guarantee that Republicans were going to have victories but it is worth thinking about
Starting point is 00:11:30 what you do in terms of agenda items and another thing in Virginia here's something to remember the government shutdown continues to this very day northern Virginia the area that I was just talking about the area that made Virginia as blue as it is now is populated very heavily, very heavily, by federal government
Starting point is 00:11:55 workers and companies whose very existence depends on taking federal taxpayer dollars. It is a swampy region of Virginia, no question. And in fact, in Virginia, among federal workers, 61% of federal workers supported the Democrats, Abigail Spanberger. Now, let me just place that in context for you. These are federal workers who are not receiving paychecks right now because of Democrats. Democrats have shut the government down. But the exit polling shows that 61% of them decided to support their abusers. What is that? Take a look. CNN last night, Jake Tapper, marveling at the fact that federal workers were too stupid to realize who was hurting them. Watch.
Starting point is 00:12:56 61% of federal workers say they are voting for Spamberger. As John was saying, it's what, like 150,000 federal workers in Virginia, but we're in the middle of a shutdown. And people have not gotten paychecks. in a month and they're going to vote what do you expect them to be doing i i talked earlier to a republican who has done a ton of work for decades in virginia who said you cannot express in a more profound way how much shutdowns hurt republicans no matter what happens hurt republicans when virginians go to vote during a shutdown it's just the historical trend Democrats are the ones that are not voting to fund the government. Now, I understand why they're doing so. They're doing so because of health care and they want to fight and they want Republicans to negotiate, et cetera, et cetera.
Starting point is 00:13:51 The messaging by Democrats around this shutdown has been sharper than I've seen Democrats on any issue in a long time. They have convinced voters, Democratic voters and independent voters, that it's the Republicans' fault. So Jake Tapper is being very nice about this. But what he's saying is, boy, these people are stupid. How are they falling for this? That it's Republicans who keep voting to reopen the government. It's Democrats who keep voting to keep it closed. The reason that these federal workers aren't receiving paychecks right now is because of Democrats.
Starting point is 00:14:32 So how does that happen? How does that happen? Well, a number of ways. One, in general, the media environment, the Democrats can. and yes, that would be the majority of federal workers, routinely lies to them about the state of play. What Jake Tapper just said on CNN is kind of an exception on his network, where he acknowledges that actually it's Republicans who've been voting over and over and over to reopen the government. Also, and there's a spiritual component to this worth dwelling on, there is a cult-like
Starting point is 00:15:03 affinity for Democrats among their voters and a cult-like rejection of Donald Trump and his efforts to make our country great. That's just true. In fact, Democrats riot and go to the polls like you and I go to church. It's almost a religious experience for some of these guys. And so when 61% of people would rather see their families suffer than Republicans achieve electoral victories, you realize there's something desperately wrong going on in our country. And in particular in a place like Virginia, where in northern Virginia, Democrats dominate, again, because they are so intertwined with the swamp. It's unfortunate, but it's definitely reality here. This is why the president has been working so hard to try and end the government shutdown,
Starting point is 00:15:55 one of the many reasons. He doesn't want people to suffer, first and foremost. And secondly, he does see that there's electoral peril in this. In fact, overnight, he's already telling Republican senators, guys, the shutdown is not even helping us, politically in the end. Do people across the country blame Trump for this? No. In fact, President Trump's approval rating, as I've discussed on this program, a bunch of times, has gone up during the government shutdown. People broadly don't blame him. But in these tight races where it matters, there are electoral consequences, especially when you have high concentrations of Democrats who are intertwined with the federal government. And so the president's saying,
Starting point is 00:16:31 we have to stop this. There's no reason for this. And this is the reason why the president wants to get rid of the stupid modern day iteration of the filibuster. He's saying, blow through this thing. Get rid of it and get about the work of the American people. Because if you're going to convince voters to support us, Republicans, as a party, you have to do it through both electoral success and election integrity. That's right, election integrity. The president is pushing this morning for making voter ID a mandatory feature of elections,
Starting point is 00:17:04 for cleaning up elections nationwide to make it so that these elections are credible and resistant to any kind of fraud that these Democrats are going to push. And that matters. But the only way you can get national legislation passed on those subjects is if you can blow past the obstruction of Democrats. So get rid of the modern, silent filibuster. I've already made my case earlier this week for why I agree with that. I'll just reiterate that I want to see the filibuster restored to the Mr.
Starting point is 00:17:34 goes to Washington filibuster. If you don't like something, if you want to argue against it, you stand on your two feet and you make your argument for as long as you can possibly endure it. And over the course of that time, either you delay that legislation being passed or you convince enough people to join your side. That's the way it's supposed to work. Not this corrupt, silent scheme that actually in the end protects corrupt interests of both parties, including Republicans who love the filibuster because it means they don't have to actually take difficult votes on behalf of the voters who sent them there. That's true. And you can watch my my podcast on that subject. This is, um, this is all very, very important. And so we have, we have these
Starting point is 00:18:18 races. We've got Virginia. We've got New Jersey. We've got Prop 50 in California. Complete madness, for sure. But in a moment, I want to talk to you about the big headline grabber last night and for good reason. America's biggest city with a population of over eight and a half million people is New York City. New York City is now being run by a guy who calls himself an open socialist. The communist, Zoran Mamdani, wins yesterday. He wins. I'm going to get into the specifics of that race and what Zoran Mamdani is saying now that he doesn't have to to appeal to voters anymore it turns out he was an actor all along you and i saw it but there's some people who were stunned by what they saw last night more ahead on this post-election edition of vince
Starting point is 00:19:14 including where we go from here but first i want to thank our great sponsor stopbox USA i say great sponsor because not only are they great as a sponsor of our program they're great at helping me protect my house if you own a handgun for self-defense your storage probably fits into one of two very frustrating categories. Either it's locked away. In other words, it's safe, but it's out of reach in the event of an emergency. Or it's unsecured. And that's not good because it does leave it vulnerable to anyone.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Stopbox USA has detected this issue because they've figured out a way to both keep your guns secure and accessible. It's a groundbreaking solution. It's the Stopbox Pro. It's totally ingenious because it's got a push button locking system. it gives you fast reliable access when every second matters without the hassle of any keys or reliance on batteries or anything like that it's 100% mechanical so it works every time there's no power needed i love this thing i'm totally obsessed with it and i've been using it i've actually had it for a few months now it's a total game changer and the way it works is you can open it with one hand it's a simple push button system you've got your own code for it you can set your own code for it where you just do a certain finger pattern and boom you can unlock this thing and it's great and the upside too is it's also childproof it's perfect it's it's exactly what you want for a limited time um listeners get our listeners get 15
Starting point is 00:20:41 off at stopbox when you use the code vince show at checkout you can head to stopbox usa.com use the code vince show for 15% off your entire order and then when you purchase one they're going to ask you where'd you hear about it tell them Vince tell them you've heard it on our show and that we sent you stopbox usa.com use the code vince show thank you to stopbox great product great product okay so new york zoran ma'm donnie has won he's the guy and he's a commie clearly he ran throughout this campaign by kind of doing the vote for pedro retreat you know from napoleon dynamite vote for me and all of your wildest dreams will come true he was doing a lot of that a lot of you know chipper smiling on tic-tok and telling people that he
Starting point is 00:21:38 was going to improve their lives but it wasn't hard to pick up the breadcrumbs you and i could as we were watching all of this and we talked about this relentlessly on this program in fact all of these elections have been an obsession of this show and we talked about the ways ma'am dony wants to empty rikers out he wants to make it so that criminals are running all over the streets of of New York. He doesn't believe in locking criminals away. He thinks that that's some sort of system of oppression to do that, to make your community safer. He wants to raise taxes in New York to 52% even though, by the way, that's not really even the role or the power of the mayor. He doesn't seem to care about that. He wants to raise taxes on everybody in the city. He
Starting point is 00:22:20 wants to make the buses less safe. He says he wants to make them free, and you know what's going to happen part of the reason he wants to make them free he claims is because he says well that'll stop all the violence there's so many people punching bus drivers on new york city buses that well if we make the bus free then the criminals all have no reason to punch the bus drivers anymore so that'll fix the city no it won't it'll just make sure more violent people are boarding city buses making that city more hellish also you want a home you want a problem with homeless in the city make the buses free As soon as the cold winter hits, guess where all the homeless people are going to be living? On the city buses, it's also crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:00 And this is where I'mam Dhani's plan for New York. Also, free grocery stores? When has that worked historically? When the government runs the grocery stores? It doesn't. In all of these socialist, communist experiments with this type of attitude, it only leads to more hunger and breadlines and empty shelves and desperation. Not going to work for New York. but New York went for it anyway.
Starting point is 00:23:24 They voted yesterday by 50.4%. As of the hour that I'm speaking to you this morning, Zoran Mamdani wins the whole race by a majority of New York City voters. Now, what does that mean? Well, a couple things. One, it means that all of this bitching about Curtis Sliwa being in the race was completely irrelevant. Curtis Slewa was the Republican nominee. He's the guy who won fair and square to represent the conservative.
Starting point is 00:23:51 of voice in New York City and he ran and there were all sorts of people saying get out of the race Curtis get out it'll be your fault if Zoron wins in the end every other candidate combined didn't meet Zoran Mamdoni's vote total Mamdani won with more than 50% of the vote simple math Sliwa didn't rob this raise from Andrew Cuomo or anybody else and also in the case of Cuomo I want to continue to say what I said before, Cuomo's the nursing home killer guy. And so the options were you get Zoron Mamdani, the Soviet, or you get the nursing home killer. So my options are Stalin or Hitler. That's really what we have right now. So you're telling me I got to vote for one of those. How about no? How about I'm not interested whatsoever? I've got a long enough memory
Starting point is 00:24:45 to remember what a disaster, Andrew Cuomo was as the governor of the state of New York. And so here you have quomo in this race and a lot of a lot of people were browbeating new yorkers you got to support quomo you got to support quomo the whole thing was so crazy and and and curtis leeway and quomo finally on that issue quomo lost the democrat primary and dissatisfied with the will of the voters he decided i'm running independent i'm staying in this race anyway and the effect of that of course was to rob in some sense Curtis slywof support actually so it's um it's it's much but regardless regardless of all these other people who ran against uh zoron zoron mamdani the guy is not in any way hiding the fact that he is a full-blown totalitarian that he is going to be a disaster for the city last night as he gave his victory speech he quoted a marxist icon the founder of the socialist party of the United States, Eugene Debs, who was a perennial candidate in their early 1900s running under the Socialist Party banner here in the United States.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Eugene Debs sought to import international socialist movements into our country. And ever since, he's had adherence, people like Bernie Sanders, and yes, Zoran Mamdani. So it should come as no surprise that. Last night, as Mamdani began his victory speech, he quoted one of the most famous socialists in American history. Take a look here. Cut six, Zoran Mamdani last night. The sun may have set over our city this evening. But as Eugene Debs once said, I can see the dawn of a better day for humanity. notice what happened in that audio notice something about that not only does he cite eugene
Starting point is 00:26:59 debbs the the marxist icon as a source of inspiration for him and he's pulling quotes from the guy it's the crowd that reacts enthusiastically you notice that ask the average american how familiar they are with eugene debbs and his many runs for president the early 1900s under the Socialist Party banner, the founder of the Socialist Party in the United States, not everybody's going to know about this guy. That room definitely did. In other words, they're not your traditional, low information, mindless, pie in the sky, rainbows for everybody, Democrat voter. Those are true believers. That room was populated with a bunch of Marxists who are very excited about their new hold on power in America's financial capital, New York City.
Starting point is 00:27:48 That's what happened, screaming about how enthusiastic they are. And Mamdani's speech last night was an angry one, not jubilant, kind of in your face, actually. Here he is bragging about being a socialist last night and saying he doesn't care if you don't like it. Cut seven, watch. After all, the conventional wisdom would tell you that I am far from the perfect candidate. I am young, despite my best efforts to grow older. I am Muslim. I am a democratic socialist.
Starting point is 00:28:33 And most damning of all, I refuse to apologize for any of this. He's an unapologetic totalitarian. an unapologetic Marxist. And in fact, his brand of Marxism is a very toxic and modern brew of Marxism. It's both a mix of class grievance, economic Marxism, as well as a newer form of racial Marxism, where he actually tries to get people to consider themselves based on their own racial categories as fighting back against a system of oppression. Of course, what he's advocating for is on the road
Starting point is 00:29:23 to what historically has always been a system of oppression. Socialist, communist, totalitarian governments lead to human suffering. There's a reason, especially in the last century, that all of those ideologies, when represented by governments, lead to massive body counts. People die by the millions.
Starting point is 00:29:43 is what history has demonstrated over and over and over again. And yet, this is sold as some sort of vehicle out of oppression. Listen to Mamdani last night, citing the various racial categories that he says are responsible for him being elected. Notice that the words white and American never actually come up at any point in this list because he considers that to be oppressive. Watch. Thank you to those so often forgotten by the politics of our city who made this movement their own. I speak of Yemeni bodega owners and Mexican abuelas.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Senegalese taxi drivers and Uzbek nurses. Trinidadian line cooks and Ethiopian aunties. Yes. aunties he's a marxist it's basically some combo of old Marxism and neo-Marxism and then finally from Mamdani's speech last night there's a there was a portion where he was talking about the way that he will govern as mayor of New York City and he's expressing something that that you of course know instinctively about what the lefts designs are for the people of this country. And it's to be involved in every single aspect of your
Starting point is 00:31:19 life, that no decision you make should be in any way liberated from the government hovering over it. Now, he sells this as a good thing. He says, it's great. The government's going to be involved in the biggest problems of our country and in your smallest possible concerns. The government will be there. Listen to this. Now, this is, the left is taking this as some science, of hope. The rest of us are taking this as a very worrisome sign of what's to come. Watch, here he is, cut nine. We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve and no concern too small for it to care about.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Nine most terrifying words in the English language are, I'm from the government and I'm here to help. Yeah, I would trust the Gipper on this one. The Gipper's got the history on his side to support his version of events which is hey that that's terrifying actually to come out of your mouth you marxist there are some lefties right now who are stunned by what they saw last night they didn't know zoran mamdani was like this how did they miss it i've got that ahead for you and we've got we've got a lot to talk about about where we go from here we have a country to save don't we it's more ahead on the vins show bone charge is a great product that supports this program in our capitalist system they've got a great product the infrared sauna blanket the red light face mask ever

Starting point is 00:35:16 or prevent any disease all right all right so we're uh we're picking up the pieces of what happened in new york last night as uh new york city has been a complete just a complete disaster they elected a soviet a guy who's you know referring to all of his marxist icons as he gives his victory speech last night, basically a gigantic F.U to anybody who believes in what made New York City great, what made America great, you know, what it means to actually uplift people to make it so that people have the kind of opportunity that causes their families to flourish. He's against all of that. He's against it. And he was angry last night. Kind of interesting, isn't it, that a guy who just won an electoral race, you'd think he'd be more jubilant.
Starting point is 00:36:05 and more gracious, but no, no gratitude, no graciousness, nothing. Instead, just anger, aggression, in your face, I have power now. It's funny, it actually stunned one CNN commentator, a lefty called Van Jones, who noticed that Zora and Mamdani was doing a lot of yelling. This is not the guy we saw during the campaign. What happened? Cut 10, watch this. I think he missed an opportunity. I think the Mamdani that we saw in the campaign,
Starting point is 00:36:35 campaign trail, who was a lot more calm, who was a lot warmer, who was a lot more embracing, was not present in that speech. And I think that monaigne is the one you need to hear from tonight. There are a lot of people trying to figure out, can I get on this train with him or not? Is he going to include me? Is he going to be more of a class warrior, even in office? I think he missed a chance tonight to open up and bring more people into the tent. I think his tone was sharp. I think he was using the microphone in a way that he was almost yelling. And that's not the mom done that we've seen on TikTok
Starting point is 00:37:15 and the great interviews and stuff like that. So I felt like there was a little bit of a character switch here where the warm, open, embracing guy that's close to working people was not on stage tonight, and there were some other voice on stage. That said, he's very young. And he just pulled off something that's very, very difficult. And I wouldn't write him off, but I think he missed an opportunity to open himself up tonight. And I think that that will probably cost him going forward.
Starting point is 00:37:41 If that's honest analysis, Van Jones is a sucker because the rest of us could see that coming from 10,000 miles away. Zora Mamdani is an actor. He's used 15 million different accents to represent himself in public. He constantly is shape-shifting his political views in order to pretend that they represent everybody. but the second he is with people that he shares an ideology with, with Marxists, he tells the truth about his goals. He is perfectly happy with crime running rampant. He's perfectly happy tearing down the things that have improved humanity.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Perfectly happy with that. That's his position. It always has been and it always will be. In fact, among the people who were present last night at Zoraimdani's victory party were pretty dedicated Soviets, including a fellow called Hassan Piker. Now, you may not know much about this guy. In fact, I don't know a tremendous amount about him.
Starting point is 00:38:38 All I know is that he's a pretty dedicated lefty. And he was recently in a video where he was torturing his dog for standing up during a podcast. Yeah, that guy. Hassan Piker was there last night. And he is mad at the United States. This is the kind of person who goes to Zoran Mamdani's victory party. He says, one of the worst things about America is that we. beat the Soviet Union in the Cold War. Watch Cut 11. Watch this. We are in the heart of the
Starting point is 00:39:08 Imperial Corps. This is the country that defeated the USSR, unfortunately. And the reality of the matter is there's a lot of antagonism. There's no class consciousness in the United States of America. It's one of the things I try to address every day with my commentary. We need a communist revolution. He said one of the unfortunate things in the United States is we don't have enough of this. We need more of a communist revolution. No, here's what we actually need. We need to confront this. We need to confront this. This communism, this totalitarianism, we've defeated it before outside of our shores. We have to defeat it here. Democrats like Van Jones recognize that this is an electoral albatross that's hanging over them. This is not a good thing for their
Starting point is 00:39:58 electoral chances going forward. What works in New York City definitely does not apply to the rest of the country. New York City is the kind of place that elected a pothead called Bill de Blasio, a communist pothead, who was in Gracie Mansion getting high all the time. But this is even more insidious, a guy who's pretty openly Marxist outright, who is now taking the helm as the mayor of New York City. In the closing days of this campaign, Democrats faced a choice. Do they embrace him or not? it be to their electoral peril going forward they know this is a problem they won't say it much in public but i'll say it on their behalf it's a problem for democrats and so if there's anything that we can take from this that is of use to us it's forcing democrats to own the destruction and radicalism
Starting point is 00:40:51 of zoran mamdani hakeem jeffreys is the minority leader in the united states house of representatives He's a New Yorker. In the closing days of the election, he begrudgingly endorsed Zoran Mamdani for a bunch of reasons, including that he's just a coward. He doesn't actually have any intellectual strength whatsoever, and he acceded to the radical elements of his party, as he so often does.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Chuck Schumer wrote out the end of this election without endorsing Zoran Mamdani. Chuck Schumer's also a New Yorker, and he decided to hold his nose and kind of ignore it. he didn't condemn it certainly and he should as a jewish democrat you'd think he would be condemning the guy who's inflaming anti-semitism like crazy but no he didn't bother getting involved he's a coward in his own way he doesn't want to be linked to zoran mamdani barak obama who always thinks he's much more clever than he actually is he closed this campaign not by endorsing zoranamdani but by
Starting point is 00:41:51 placing a phone call to him to give him advice or something He thought that that would make it seem like the Democrat Party wasn't wrapping itself around Zoran. But the truth is they are. Zoran Mamdani is now, in many ways, the most visible, high-profile representation of their entire party. That party is overtaken by one of the most destructive ideologies that human history has ever known. Certainly one of the most murderous. Again, huge body counts in the last century. Zoran Mamdani is in so many ways representative of who the Democrat Party is today.
Starting point is 00:42:35 So rather than not talk about it, rather than focus on other issues, which is what Democrats want us to do, no, no, no, we should talk about it. We should focus on it and we should rub their faces in it. There should be national electoral consequences for that party becoming the Marxist party. of Zoran Mamdani. No question whatsoever. So if Republicans got anything yesterday out of these elections, that is clearly a massive piece of this. Yes, they're commies and everyone needs to know about it. Another thing to think about from yesterday, we have a very challenging situation going on.
Starting point is 00:43:17 In Virginia, which I was referring to earlier in this program, in Virginia, Jay Jones won his race. The Attorney General's race went to Jay Jones. Now, this is after a number of surveys showed that Virginians were very likely to support Jason Miaras, the incumbent Republican Attorney General to keep the seat. In the end, not so. Virginians, mostly in Northern Virginia, Democrats,
Starting point is 00:43:44 got Jay Jones across the finish line. Now, why is that? They lied. They lied to pollsters. and think about it you get a phone call do you support the guy who says he wants to kill his political opponents kill their children piss on their graves these are all tax messages from jones or that conveyed that he wanted to see cops killed in order to affect political change you're going to get democrats who are going to deceive pollsters about their support but in the end when they get inside that booth with a secret ballot or they fill out the ballot at home or they go to the never-ending early elections in virginia When they do it, they pull the lever for the Democrat. They lie to the pollster. They vote for the killer.
Starting point is 00:44:26 That's what they did. And so Jay Jones gets across the finish line. We have talked all year about this because, and not just this year, including last year, as we saw President Trump nearly assassinated multiple times. Democrats have a very sizable and very destructive assassination culture. It's just true. Democrats talk about Republicans in existential ways. they will either openly and certainly behind closed doors talk about how they're perfectly content with seeing Republicans killed.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Democrats to this day are still celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk as some great victory for our country. Of course, it's not. It's completely destabilizing. It makes Americans more angry at one another. And it will be the way it could be in the end, an ingredient for bringing our country down. We don't want that. We want to bring it together. We want people to aspire to their highest angels. know and to get to a point where things are good and wholesome and orderly and where we can disagree without being disagreeable that's of course where we want to be it's not where we are right now we have one political party with massive numbers of people who are perfectly content with political assassinations and political violence that needs to be addressed how do we address
Starting point is 00:45:40 well one obviously winning elections is important Republicans need to work no more taking anything for granted the good thing about the audience that I'm speaking to right now is my guess is by and large you are the kind of person who is actively engaged in electoral politics in your community and if you're not i'm encouraging you to be this show has spent a lot of time on electoral politics it's important the only way we win as a country is if we get the right people in power to do it i'm going to continue to do that in fact i've personally been out on the campaign trial working with candidates endorsing them helping them in their campaigns and i'm going to continue to do that i think it's important but to whatever whatever station you
Starting point is 00:46:20 are in life. I think what's important right now is that we do our best to tell the truth, to demonstrate empathy, and to try and work for the betterment of our fellow American. Engage in your civic organizations, go to church, pray for sure. Prayer is not empty. The left pretends it is. Prayer is important. We need to rely on it because we're undertaking a spiritual war. We need to pray to the Lord above that he can open the eyes of our fellow Americans who have their eyes closed to reality right now even to the existence of god himself their eyes need to be opened we need to be better as a country but the idea that you would sit back and just hope it gets better that's not going to work that's not going to work and if you believe in the creator you know
Starting point is 00:47:03 that you can't just sit back and do nothing you've been given blessings use them use them it's a betrayal of our creator not to that's important that's really important important. We've got to have a revival in our country, certainly a spiritual one, for sure. But really, as you know, there's really only two options. One, either we descend into utter chaos and we get into a new civil war. And we don't want that. Civil wars are bloody, disgusting, destructive things. Hundreds of thousands of Americans were killed in the last one. We can't have that happen. Certainly, we've got the makings of a civil war. We've got all sorts of animosity, at President Trump and people who voted for him. And it spilled out into the kind of vicious violence that we've seen directed at people like Charlie Kirk and the president himself. But to the extent that we can stop that, we have to.
Starting point is 00:47:57 That means enforcing the law. That means locking up bad guys. That means going after the networks that are inflaming extremism in the United States. That means restoring order aggressively. That means holding people accountable who have violated their oath of office. I am, as you know, grateful
Starting point is 00:48:13 to see the prosecutions of people like James Comey, Mr. James, John Bolton, La Monica McIver, Catabuga Zala, all these other Democrats who have violated their oaths of office or who intend to or have broken the law or obstructed law enforcement. But that should only be the beginning. It shouldn't be the end. We're hearing, as I talked with Julie Kelly yesterday, some indication that we're going to see prosecutions coming up for a grand conspiracy against all of these people in January. And we should. We should get that. It's for all the violations of our laws, including attacking the president of the United States on the four. false claim that he's a colluder with Russia. The Arctic Frost attempts to go after the entire Republican Party. By the way, how many people have you heard talking about this outside of this
Starting point is 00:48:58 program? The Arctic Frost. Some have. Some great Americans have focused on it, but the media has strayed completely away from it. I weigh off the ball, not talking about one of the biggest scandals of our entire lifetime as sitting United States senators, Republicans and some congressmen were being spied upon that all of the institutions of the right was being attacked by the government if you want to path out we have to fix the things that are in our control right now so that we can fix the things eventually that are outside of our control including the the spiritual insanity of the left that has to happen the republican party to the extent that it controls anything right now which is a lot at the in washington certainly needs to double down on the trump a
Starting point is 00:49:42 agenda. No more distractions. No more allowing Democrats to obstruct when you have the power to do something. And doing something means opening up the government, making the government more efficient, getting the government out of the way. And yes, that also includes addressing health care. Right now, insofar as Democrats have any talking points that they wield in electoral politics, health care is the one that they keep bringing up. now i've i've told you extensively that what they're really talking about is democrats have made health care in our country ridiculously expensive absurdly expensive why is health why have health care cost skyrocketed why are you paying so much more in terms of your insurance premiums why you're a deductible sky high why is it so hard to afford drugs why is it so difficult to get in to see doctors and specialists what happened i'll tell you what happened
Starting point is 00:50:38 the United States government led by the Democrats interfered in one sixth of our economy and made it utter shit. They have destroyed our health care system. And so now those health care costs are out of control. They did that. They called it the Affordable Care Act because once again, it was a lie. It was like the Inflation Reduction Act. They were lying to you. The name of the legislation was the opposite of its effect. Health care in the United States is under affordable right now this government shutdown and so far as democrats are making an argument for why they sustain it is what we need of obamacare subsidies we need subsidies to bring down health care costs that's a cover up operation what they want is you the federal taxpayer to cover up how expensive
Starting point is 00:51:26 they've made our health care system and it's a disgusting crony corrupt arrangement this is a merger as usual between the government, the big insurance companies, the pharmaceutical companies, and they're all taking advantage of us, all of us. That's what they've been doing. And it's time for that to end. So what Republicans need to do is not only get the government back open, but they need to present a real health care plan, a real one that really brings down costs. And I'm not talking about the government controlling health care. I'm talking about the opposite. I'm talking about the government getting out of the way of the health care system. There is no reason that doctors should be spending 90% of their time filling out government paperwork
Starting point is 00:52:15 and 10% of their time actually seeing patients. That's insane. We need to get the government out of all of this. Doctors, you want to lower health care costs? Have doctors see patients with more frequency so that they can actually help address health issues before they even emerge to make Americans healthy again. And if Americans are healthy, healthcare costs go down.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Is this very hard to understand? This is a very obvious pattern of logic. And we should be employing it. Make America healthy again. If you do, health care costs come down. Stop with the cowardice. Stop with ducking the issue. Stop with pretending we can't confront this.
Starting point is 00:52:56 No, you have an obligation to confront it. If Republicans want to win in the midterms next year, they need to represent the interests of Americans. And what are those interests? They want to bring down costs inside their homes. They want to be able to feed their families. They want to be able to flourish. They want low energy costs.
Starting point is 00:53:12 They want to be able to start a business. They want to keep more of their own money. And they want to have a great country again. They want their borders back. They want illegal foreign nationals kicked out of the country. And they'd like for us to be involved in fewer foreign wars. Is that so much to ask? No, actually, it's the core thing to ask.
Starting point is 00:53:26 We want our country taken care of. So all of this sort of like arguing, on the edges of like, oh, what kind of campaign ads should we be running and like, you know, where could we have done little electoral shifts in order to achieve some sort of victory? That's all bullshit. How about just focus on winning Americans over by virtue of your success? It shouldn't just take Donald Trump being successful and you thinking you're going to ride his coattails.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Not going to work. You have an obligation to actually meet the demands of voters right now. right now so when the question becomes what can we do about this where do we go from here the answer is we all have to work nothing worth achieving in life comes easily at the local level you and i need to be engaged with our local governments we need to be fighting for the stuff that's closest to us those are the most important elections usually for most of us but going up into politics at the national level, all of these lawmakers, all of them, all of these Republicans, anyone who claims to be Republican, should be getting on the same page immediately and fighting for what you and I voted for now over and over and over again. You want to win elections? Be worthy of our votes. President Trump's coalition is built with low propensity voters. It wasn't always this way. Republicans were often high propensity voters, people who showed up on election day pretty reliably.
Starting point is 00:55:00 But President Trump has reinvented the political coalitions in the United States, and he's brought in so many people who are normally disengaged from politics who for the first time in their lives realize that actually President Trump might be good for me. And he has been. He was good in the first administration. He improved wages in the United States. He brought down taxes. He provoked human flourishing. And voters decided after watching the Biden administration, it was time to bring that back again. And the president's had some success.
Starting point is 00:55:30 we've seen the numbers gas prices have come down the lows that we haven't seen in real dollars for decades that's a big deal or gas prices still too high in some places yes that's true especially where democrats run the show and they tax the hell out of you when you go to the pump the president's brought down inflation to meaningful levels grocery prices the rise in grocery prices has been arrested big time the cost of eggs it came down a lot remember when the left was pretending like president trump was responsible for egg prices being sky high they've come down a lot the president's got a lot to be proud of he's imposed tariffs on other countries he's actually brought a lot of money into the treasury by virtue of the tariffs inflation has not gone up despite the paul krugman doomsday claims about what was going to happen no he's been a great success but in the end voters including many who are not quite as engaged as you and i are are going to look at what they're bringing home how things are in their lives whether or not they are flourishing and the reality of course in america is that a lot of people are still in credit card dead a lot of people are trying to make ends meet for a lot of people things are much too
Starting point is 00:56:33 expensive still and especially in categories like health care so again if republicans are going to win they have to address these things and finally when it comes to these republicans if you are not focused on our country if you are not focused on our betterment if you are not focused on bringing those costs down and getting the government out of the way of our success you need to go we need to get rid of you the controlled burn of the republican party needs to continue we have way too many people who are going along to get along who think they can pull the wool over your eyes who think that they can just ride out this moment that whatever energy you and i have put into getting Donald Trump elected is just going to go away when Donald Trump goes away they've been
Starting point is 00:57:23 pining for that for as long as Donald Trump has been on the political scene and I'm here to tell you that's never happening this energy while it's vested in trump right now we'll continue to exist in the united states we didn't vote for trump just because he's trump we voted for trump because he shared our priorities and that is the metric by which we're going to move forward as a country engage in your community get back to church and keep fighting for what you care about nothing worth achieving in life will come easily it will only come from work we have a great country i don't want a civil war i want civility and we have to fight for that i've got a lot more coming today on the big national radio show uh we've got we're going to discuss a lot with these uh with these campaigns what
Starting point is 00:58:14 they mean for america where we go from here um i am i'm optimistic about our future because i'll give you I'll give you one last immense reason to be optimistic. You ready for this? Those of us who believe in God know that in the end we win. That's as simple as that. If you believe in scripture, in the end, we win. Yes, this is depressing what we've just witnessed. But in the long run, everything's going to be great.
Starting point is 00:58:48 I assure you. I can't wait to join you again. on the next edition of Vince, the big national radio show, The Vince Show, check out the local listings. You can watch us rumble.com slash Vince. We do it live. As always, appreciate you back tomorrow.
