We have to report to you, shamefully, another incident of prosecutorial malfeasance in this case where they just can't do the right thing. invoke your Fifth Amendment rights is never, ever to be used as an implication of guilt. This lawyer apparently didn't know that or did it on purpose because he wanted some kind of a mistrial. Nobody knows. They charged Rittenhouse with a short-barreled rifle offense, a criminal possession of a weapon, excuse me, a misdemeanor possession offense, right? The barrel on the rifle was not a short barrel. Why do we have to get, this is unbelievable. Yesterday we found out they transferred a video to the defense

If you had that, if that was actually happening and they were innocent victims, wouldn't you want all those innocent victims up on the stand talking about the fear in their hearts and how they were attacked? They weren't doing anything. They were sitting around a club and some guy opened fire at them. Wouldn't you want them on the stand? Sure. Of course you would, Joe. Of course.

So why doesn't this prosecutor want them on the stand? Maybe because they're not the sympathetic victims he wants you to believe they are. Here's another guy who seems to have disappeared. The prosecutor can't, the prosecutor doesn't seem to want him on the stand either. It's this guy, Zeminski. This guy, Zeminski, he is alleged to have fired a shot in the air right before Rittenhouse engaged with his firearm. The Rittenhouse team saying, oh, listen, we only shot because we thought we were being fired at. Weird how Zeminski hasn't appeared. Prosecutors want to bring him up.

the kids locked out of school. Yeah, you're damn right. I overruled them on that because they were wrong. This guy's the best. He's the best out there right now. The best we've got. Conservatism is not about allowing freedom and liberty to ebb and not using the tools in front of you

because we have many tyrants at the local level and then relying on silly arguments like, well, you know, home rule really is supersedes the Constitution, especially when it dissolves away freedom and liberty. That's not what conservatism is about. It is about using the tools we have in front of us, all legal tools we have in front of us. To preserve liberty and freedom. But our military sole purpose is to be prepared for things that hopefully are not inevitable. In my prior line of work, our job was to keep the president alive against an attack that, I mean, frankly, out of 10,000 trips, maybe one of them is there an attempt on the president's life, maybe less. We're preparing for things that 999.99% of the time are never going to happen. But that's what we do. And the

reason they don't happen is because we prepare for them. The military's job is to stop World War III. But if it happens, we better be prepared. And Michael Anton's saying, hey, our Navy, we may not be prepared. And groupthink is the cause of it. Listen to the big problem we have with our aircraft carrier strategy now. Check this out. So getting back to the carrier point, I'll leave it at that. Forget that hypersonic missile. If you ask somebody who watches the Navy and follows the Navy, all is based on open source

material, I hasten to add. They will say, plausibly, if not certainly, the Chinese have had an ability to sink a fleet carrier for the last decade at least, right? A carrier goes out in a so-called battle group, has a number of ships ringing it and some attack submarines. All of those things are meant to protect the central asset, which is the aircraft carrier, which these days costs anywhere from 12 to $14 billion. And with the wing, that is the planes and the people the extra people on board there's about 6,500 people on that aircraft carrier so 14 billion dollars and 6,500 people now 2,800 people or so died on 9-11 and remember what a psychological shock and

wound to the nation that was imagine 6,500 people in a military defeat over something that was foreseeable in advance and ask yourself how the nation would take it. I'm not trying to draw any conclusions about this, but I just want to take you right back to what Peter Thiel said. Right now, there seems to be a massive amount of groupthink. We're only allowed to think about this one way. Nobody is allowed to bring up any of the counterfactuals. When policy is made on that basis, horrible blunders and catastrophes result. Scary stuff. Michael Anton's correct. If we're basing our military strategy and technology on the last war we fought and not the war ahead, because groupthink and the

incentive structure with the military-industrial complex is aligned on a course of defeat, then folks, we're in real trouble. If the idea of getting an aircraft carrier close to shore so we could hit on-land targets ashore is now out because the Chinese can take out our aircraft carriers with very specific weapon sets. Then why are we not doing anything about it? Is it because we're doing a, that's the way we've always done it. Listen, I don't want to get into a bunch of old war stories from my prior lines.
