We did all of our shows. We did the podcast. We did the radio show. And then after that, I go into Washington, D.C. I don't do a lot of things in D.C., but I got a message from our friend Mike Davis at the Article III project, inviting me to go out to an event they were holding last night. Great patriots who are fighting for our country. People are trying to deport illegal aliens.

And it's just wonderful, actually. It was really cool to see everybody was there. But the funny thing that happened last night is I'm standing there and I'm talking to a dear friend, somebody who I haven't seen her a long time, really a wonderful woman and we're chatting. We're fully engaged. And then at the conclusion of our conversation, I hear somebody say, oh, and Cash Patel is here. I was like, Cash Patel is here. I haven't seen Cash in a while. The FBI director?

I'd love to say hi to that guy. And so I turn around a look and another friend of mine, Corey, producer Corey, who's worked with me for many years, he goes, he goes, dude, Cash just left. I was like, really? Oh, shoot. And he goes, you were standing right next to him for like the last 10 minutes. I was like, I was. Yeah, Cash was on my back, facing the opposite direction from me. We were back to back to having conversations. And I missed him. I was like, I literally looked at the window. I was like, what are these cop cars here for? He's got a police escort. They had, they take him out of there. I was like, what was that? It was Cash Patel. I missed him. Anyway, apparently Cash is doing well enough. That's all I know right now. He was chatty

and in a good mood. So in case you want an update on what the FBI is up to, that's the best I can gather for you. But on the rare occasion, when I get to hang out with people like that, I miss my opportunity. So, you know, at some point, maybe we'll see and chat with Cashigan. So that's my update.

That's my personal life update for you. We've got a big show for you today. The shutdown continues. And it's amazing. It's amazing what's going on. You know what I love about yesterday? Vice President J.D. Vance stepped up to the microphone in the White House Press briefing room, which is so cool, which is what I've been calling for. I've been calling for this for years.

Well, actually, for as long as the Trump administration has been going on, I shouldn't be too hyperbolic here. But I want J.D. Vance at the lectern. I want the guy answering questions from the press. He's very good at it. And so yesterday he did that. Before he walked out, they affixed the vice presidential seal to the front of the lectern. And I knew it was game time. I was like, oh, this is going to be good. And sure enough, it was. In fact, J.D. Van stepped up yesterday and somebody asked him about all the sombrero memes. Like, what are you doing? You're posting all these sombrero memes of Hakeem Jeffreys? And the vice president said, yeah. And guess what? That's going to continue until morale improves. Cut one. Take a look. Here's J.D. Vance, the vice president of the United States.

Is it helpful? Just post pictures of leader Jeffries and a sombrero if you're trying to have good faith talks with him. Oh, I think it's funny. The president's joking and we're having a good time. You can negotiate in good faith while also poking a little bit of fun. at some of the absurdities of the Democrats' positions and even, you know, poking some fun at the absurdity of the Democrats themselves. I mean, I'll tell Hakeem Jeffries right now, I make this solemn promise to you that if you help us reopen the government, the sombrero memes will stop. And I've talked to the president of the United States about that. I love that. I love that. Yeah, just keep it going. And, you know, when you open the government up, then we'll take the sombrero off. But until then, you're wearing the dunce cap. You've got the sombrero.

until it's all over. So that's a really fun game. And good for JD Vance. The left is so angry about this. They're furious. They have no idea what to do. They've been raging for 48 hours about the Cumbrero memes. The idiot governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has tried an entry into the meme war.

Are you seeing Gavin Newsom's attempt to join the meme war? It's incoherent. It doesn't, it's the most cringeworthy thing you could possibly imagine. Here's Gavin Newsom. Now, feel free to laugh. at this. If you think this is funny, give it a laugh, but Gavin Newsom portraying J.D. Vance as some sort of munchkin land patriot guy. It's not Uncle Sam. I'm not even clear what they're trying to do here, but here's Gavin Newsom and his genius staff. If you're flying today, I hope, of course,

you arrive safely and on time, but you may not arrive on time because the TSA and the air traffic controllers are not getting paid today. Our military is not getting paid today, starting today. and obviously the longer this drags on, the worst that it is for the American people. I'm going to tell you something right now. If that was funny, J.D. Vance would share it. If that amused us, J.D. Vance would share it. He'd be all over it.

Here's what J.D. Vance is not going to do. He's not going to bitch about it. He's not going to whine. He's like, how dare you? I can't believe. What are you doing? And the chat's right. People are already saying it in the chat. The left can't meme.

Yeah, the left can't meme. They don't have a sense of humor. They're humorless skulls. So when they try it, they don't know what to do. So anyway, you know, keep up the bad work, Gavin Newsom, give it another swing. That's what we're dealing with. These are the political upon us. They have no idea what they're doing.

So that's the latest from the left on that. Another piece from the left right now is like they really don't know what to do in the midst of this shutdown. They have no idea what talking point they should use. They have no idea how to convince the public that they're on the right side of this thing. They have no idea how to trick you into supporting how to trick you into supporting health care for illegal aliens. So they've resorted to an oldie, but a baddie, which is everyone is going to die. That's right. The talking point that everybody is going to die.

Bernie Sanders and AOC filmed a video together, of course. They're out there filming social media videos. And listen to Bernie declare you're all going to die. Take a listen. 50,000 low-income working-class Americans will die every single year. All right. If you don't have the money to go to a doctor and you're sick, you die. That's what we're looking. That's what this clean bill is about. Uh-huh.

Uh-huh. That's what the clean bill is about. Uh-huh. 50,000 people are going to die every single year. Now, remember what they're talking about. What they're saying is, If we pass a seven-week continuing resolution, 50,000 people are going to die every year.

Now, let's see. I'm going to get the bullshit meter out. Ready? Let's start from truth to bullshit. Ready? Let's see how quickly it gets there. What bullshit? It's like 50,000 people.

Are you serious? That's a, that's funny. A hundred bazillion people are going to die. If Donald Trump gets to keep the government open for seven more weeks. That's true. And then AOC, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. That's true. And AOC is using the same talking point, of course. She was on MSNBC this week. And she said, you know what President Trump wants to do by keeping the government open for seven weeks? He wants kids to die. Cut six. Here's AOC making that talking point. What I'm not going to do is tolerate four million uninsured Americans because Donald Trump decided one day that he wants to just make sure that kids are dying. because they don't have access to insurance. Everyone's dying.

Everyone's dying. And, you know, so it's not just Bernie and AOC. Elizabeth Warren is warbling. Everyone is going to die. No, you know what's dying right now? Any chance that Democrats will ever appeal to voters again. That's the only thing that's dying. Your political ambitions are dying.

It's a death by suicide. You guys are an idiotic political party. And they're wielding the chicken little talking point. you know, running around with their heads cut off. Everybody's going to die. The whole sky is falling. Okay, sure, whatever. Nobody believes you.

Nobody trusts you. And that's why the American people are siding with President Trump on this one. It's been remarkable. You know, did you see that in the midst of all of this, that the White House very smartly, they posted, they've been posting on all of the government websites that the, all of the officials, that all of the officials, government websites that the government is shut down because the democrats have sold out the

american people you know about that it's pretty great take a look at this let me see if i can pull this up for you for those of you watching rumble.com slash vince um here is an example this is the state department uh has this up uh saying due to the democrat led shutdown website updates will be limited until full operations resume we got another one this is the this is hud housing and urban development The radical left in Congress shut down the government. HUD will use available resources to help Americans in need. We've got another one. The Department of Justice,

Democrats have shut down the government. Department of Justice websites are not currently regularly updated. Please refer to the Department of Justice's contingency plan for more information. And then the Department of Agriculture says, due to the radical left Democrat shutdown, the government website, this government website, will not be updated during the funding lapse. President Trump has made it clear he wants to keep the government open

and support those who feed fuel and clove the American people. I love this. Just absolutely rub it in their stupid faces that they shut the government down. And I brought this up yesterday. I'm not sure if I brought it up on the podcast or the radio show, but I'll reiterate it here regardless. That you remember, when Obama shut the government down in 2013, he tried to blame Republicans for it during that government shutdown phase.

And the way that he did it was in a very, very cruel way. He was hurting the World War II veterans. And here's how he did it. He shut down the World War II Memorial. Do you remember this? 2013, Obama shuts down the World War II Memorial. He barricades the whole thing. And then World War II veterans had to sit in their wheelchairs

with their World War II veteran hats on outside of the memorial with these barricades up, blocking the war. them from getting access to the memorial built in their honor. So he was hurting them, theatrically hurting World War II veterans. And then, so a bunch of them had to sit outside the memorial for a short time. The end of that story, which it ended up being wonderful, is that the World War II vets, they decided, well, to hell with that, they moved the barricades and they went into the memorial anyway. They went in anyway. They're like, no, we're going in, which was wonderful news. God bless.

them for doing that you know these are the guys who stormed the beaches of normandy i think they can get into their own memorial obama's not going to stop them so uh yeah so that's uh that was uh that was really nice to see back then that they did it really awful though that obama did that so comparing contrast if you will you get president trump who points out that the democrats have shut down the government just on government website saying hey you want the government back open to tell the Democrats to open it back up again. That's who we're waiting on. And then Obama, in order to try and convey some sort of political damage on Republicans,

hurt World War II veterans. Hurt World War II veterans. I think we have a real study in contrasts here. And I know who I prefer. I like President Trump a lot better. I like that he's fighting for us. And he's telling the truth. So this is what's going on.

We've got the left is just making stuff up. saying that people are going to die due to the shutdown that they started. And then J.D. Vance now has to explain very carefully, slowly and carefully, so that everybody can understand it. The Democrats are lying through their teeth right now about the fact that they're fighting for illegal aliens. Make no question about this. Democrats are fighting to give your tax dollars to illegal aliens right now. Here's the Vice President of the United States explaining this very carefully yesterday. Cut four. This is a Democrat talking point.

They say we're not actually trying to give health care benefits to illegal aliens. And here's why it's not true. There are two Biden-era programs that explicitly gave the taxpayer health care money to illegal aliens that we turned off when President Trump took over in January. Program number one is there's a lot of emergency health care at hospitals that are provided to illegal aliens. That was funded by the federal government. We turned off that funding because, of course, we want American citizens. citizens to benefit from those hospital services not to be taxed and then to have those hospital

services go to illegal aliens. The second of which is the Biden administration gave mass parole to millions upon millions of illegal aliens and then they simultaneously made those parolees eligible for health care benefits funded by taxpayers. So it's not something that we made up. It's not a talking point. It is in the text of the bill that they initially gave to us to reopen the government. It's preposterous for them to run away from it now. It's preposterous. Okay, let me, let me put a finer point on what you just heard the vice president so eloquently explain. One, emergency room usage by illegal aliens involves taking Medicaid dollars. Two, parolees. These are people who illegally crossed our border. And then

the Biden administration said, well, you're welcome anyway. Now you have parole status in the United States of America. They have been taking Medicaid money. The left are lying about this, this detail. They've millions upon millions of people imported by Biden who came into the country crossed our border illegally and then claimed, I need asylum, I need to stay here. Okay, fine, you're being granted parole. They're being given millions. They've been given Medicaid funding. That's just true. That's around three million people. who've been given that status, that's illegal immigrant health care, illegal alien health care paid for by these Democrats. That's what Democrats are fighting for. And then paying for by taxpayers.

And then finally, there's one more detail that J.D. Vance did not lay out in that Fox News appearance, but he did add to this morning. And this is what I told you yesterday. There's a concept with money called fungibility, right? Fundability. In other words, if I give you money, for a specific purpose, that frees up the money you already have to spend it on something else. That makes sense? So here's how J.D. Vance describes it this morning. He describes it really well on X this morning. He said, it's important. Money is fungible, he writes. And it's why the Democrats and the media are lying that health care is not going to illegals. And it's so preposterous. He said, consider, for instance, two state Medicaid programs. Ohio and New York, New York, give

Medicaid to illegals. Ohio does not. New York's a blue state. Ohio's a red state. When the government gives billions of dollars to New York for Medicaid, this frees up state money in New York that can now be spent on illegals. It's like if you give a mobster a hundred bucks and he promises he's not going to spend the money to buy a gun and commit a crime. But he takes the $100 you gave him and he buys food and then he takes the money that he would have spent on food and uses that money on the gun instead. This is what money is fungible means. By the way, this is the same argument that we use against Planned Parenthood. It's like, why we give taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood? They're like, we're not spending it on abortion. We just spend it on all of our other operating costs.

Well, wait a second. If we're giving you money for operating costs, that frees up all the money you have to kill babies. Why are we subsidizing that? Money is fungible, the vice president's pointing out. Additionally, the vice president says because medical services are limited in supply, when an illegal access is health care, it drives up the cost for everybody. So New Yorkers are paying a higher price for medical services and the federal government is subsidizing those higher prices. So everybody in the media from George Stephanopoulos to Jake Tapper are repeating these same Democrat talking points and they're engaged in a Democrat propaganda war. Democrats shut down the government to give health care money to illegal aliens. It's really that simple. That's the vice president of the United States this morning, pointing this all out.

So illegals get money in three ways from the feds, stolen from you, from Democrats, emergency room services, parolees who were improperly given a legal status by the Biden administration, even though they are illegal aliens. They came into our country illegally. And then the third way is because money is fungible. The more money we give to the blue states, the more they can then take from their state taxpayers and give it to illegals. And they'll drive up health care costs in the states. Now, as I said yesterday, I'll read it right now today. This is a blue state bailout is what they're fighting for. They shut our government down for a blue state bailout.

They loaded up their health care roles with illegal aliens. Donald Trump cut off the spigot and said, no, no more money for you. And now they're trying to figure out a way to pay for the disaster they've created in their own communities. So they're trying to fleece you, the federal taxpayer, in order to bail out their out-of-control blue states. That's what's happening. I've got a lot more ahead on the program. Listen to the weird exchange that these two men have. But they talk about the provisions, and it's right here, subtitle E, and this has to do with the repeal of health care subtitle changes and specifically what it is. How they characterize it is, you want to give health insurance to undocumented immigrants. I understand that's not really an accurate depiction, but what it does do is...

That's a lie. It's a lie. But what you support does bring back funding for emergency Medicaid to hospitals, some of which does pay for undocumented immigrants and people who don't have health insurance. Did you hear that little exchange? So Tapper starts telling them like, hey, why are you paying for illegal aliens? And then Hakeem Jeffries, the Dial-O Democrat, goes, that's a lie. And then Tapper responds, yes, it's a lie, but it's not a lie.

you are trying to give money to illegals. And Hakeem, for those of you not watching, he nods along. What in the hell was that exchange? It's not a lie. It's true. You are trying to give our money to illegals. And Tapper just laid out at least one of the details supporting that.

And then pretend, and then to suck up to Hakeem Jeffries was like, oh yeah, no, totally. The Republicans are lying. Dude, Jake, just try telling the truth. It's refreshing. man. It's infectious. You start doing that. Maybe you'll start doing it more. It's going to be great. It's going to be really great. Give it a whirl. Because you got, you had that guy dead to rights and you let him off the hook. That was embarrassing. Don't do that. What else do we have here?

Oh, Hakeem Jeffries. He's like, he's such a ridiculous human being. No wonder that he got the sombrero treatment this week. He was asked yesterday during a congressional briefing, press briefing. Hey, you know, a lot of people are not getting paychecks right now because of your government shutdown. The troops are not getting paychecks right now. Guys, air traffic controllers are not getting paychecks right now. Your own congressional staff are not receiving paychecks right now. So will you, Hakeem Jeffries, as you listen to this, the question might be a little hard to hear. The first question is, are members of Congress going to forego their paychecks during this period. Are they going to stop taking pay? You know, in solidarity with all these

other federal government employees who are not receiving money right now. Are you going to stop taking pay? And then the, then the reporter specifically says, you, Hakeem Jeffries, are you going to stop taking pay? Listen to his squirrely little answer as he refuses to stop taking your money during this period that he caused. So there's been several members of Congress that will pay if they shut down in terms. Do you advise you advise? Do you advise? Yeah, that's a question that every individual member is going to have to make on their own, as has always been the case in the past. Will you withhold you? First of all, that question is not even a ripe one because we're anticipating that this shutdown issue will be resolved.

That's not a ripe one. That's not a ripe. The last question was, are you going to give up your pay during this period? He's like, uh, uh, no, no, I'm going to keep taking $174,000, whatever the number is. I don't know what he gets specifically as the leader of the Democrats, but these, these members of Congress, they get $174,000 a year, you know, on top of whatever sort of insider trading deals, the rest of them are all engaged in, not all of them, but enough of them that they become, you know, Nancy Pelosi rich over that time period. It's amazing how rich these guys become as public servants. But Hakeem Jeffries, oh, no, I don't want to talk about that.

I don't want to talk about giving up my paycheck. What? Dude, you're forcing the troops to not get paid right now. Screw you. Drop your pay. We should drop your pay. However, that can be done. It's ridiculous.

A ripe question. Yeah. So, yeah, no, he's not giving up his pay, is the summary to that. Not going to do that. Coming up on the program, I've got a bunch of other things to hit today with you. So we get rid of the lunatics that have destroyed this. beautiful state we're going to make it golden again that's my that's my line i really hope you do because you know i like i'm just looking at like every day we're served up some other idiotic headline about gavin newsome i mean i just played earlier in the program gavin newsom is making like cringy memes now about jd vans and he seems so unfocused on the needs of your state and so caught

up in this sort of bizarrely ambition to run for president in 2028 what's going on there how to what extent are Gavin Newsom's political ambitions taking his focus off of actually helping your state become better in any way? Well, he's making everything worse. So apart from the obvious things that everyone can see, right, the squalor, the chaos on the streets, the homelessness that's so out of control and not getting better, you've got behind that things that aren't so visible if you don't live here. Got this unemployment rate in America in California

can't afford basic needs. The highest cost for everything that matters for housing, electricity bills, gas prices, water, all the most expensive in America. The worst business climate. You know, it's just a total failure. He's the most useless governor in America. I used this term. I saw it as an event, a MAGA event, and I just saw a big MAGA sign there. And it occurred to me that the right acronym for Newsom is Mugger, the most useless governor in America. He starts running for president, for real. I will be the governor of California. And I'm going to make sure, as I'm clearing up the mess that he's made,

the whole country knows what a total disaster Newsom is. And don't let him anywhere near the White House to make America. America as bad as California is now in terms of outcomes. Let me ask you about the crime problem in your state. Right now, we're witnessing a massive discrepancy in a lot of ways between the Republican-led states and the Democrat-led states. The Democrats, by and large, are refusing to cooperate with the President of the United States to bring about a peace in their cities.

Places like Los Angeles continue to have a violence problem where the president has tried to intervene, but Democrats, including the mayor and the governor, have resisted him. Places like Chicago in Illinois, a Democrat mayor, Democrat governor, they're resisting the president. They're trying to stop him from helping that community. But then you look at a place like Tennessee,

where in Memphis right now, the governor there, Governor Lee, is welcoming the president of the United States in. They're making arrests in Memphis. The community of Memphis is very grateful to have the president. helping them out. You know, what will it look like? So should you be victorious here?

What's your plan to try and bring about a piece in cities like LA? And to what extent would you cooperate with President Trump to do that? Well, 100%, including on immigration enforcement as well, which is one of the great scandals where you've got, you know, again, we have the worst problem in terms of the scale of illegal immigration in the state. in the state, you know, and it relates, obviously, to the healthcare issue that's related to the government shutdown. But in terms of crime, what you're seeing is a model, actually, how I would deal with it here in California, because we've got the same principle. We've got local law enforcement

and leaders not doing their job like Karen Bass in Los Angeles, who I saw last night outrageously gaslighting, everyone saying, oh, in Los Angeles, crime is dramatically lower. That's her word. dramatic. It's a joke. No one thinks that. Everyone can see it's just getting worse and worse. So I would not only work with the federal government and take advantage of any resources there, but use state law enforcement resources in order to step in and deal with crime when it's not being dealt with by local leaders like Karen Bass in Los Angeles. The other point is, as governor, I would reverse Newsom's closure of state prisons, which has released tens of of thousands of dangerous violent criminals into the community

or into local county jails that are completely overcrowded. So you don't have, you have basically catch and release at the local level. All that I will reverse through increasing prison capacity. So it's going to be a massive change when I'm governor. We're going to have tough on crime, just as we're seeing at the federal level. And what the administration is showing,

as with the border and all these actions, if you just have common sense, strong leadership, You can make a difference very quickly. Yeah, yeah. Okay, talk to me about the government shutdown, would you? Because what we're witnessing right now is Democrats have shut the government down. They're trying to fight to restore medical expenditures for illegal aliens. They want to take American taxpayer money and give it to illegal aliens.

They're claiming that that's not happening. But you live in a state where this is a very real experience. You live in a state where there's a lot of illegal aliens. You live in a state where there's a lot of illegal aliens who are taking taxpayer money. And it seems to me that California Democrats, including and especially Gavin Newsom, want more Medicaid dollars coming to the state in order to subsidize all of these illegal aliens. What am I getting wrong about that? You're 100% right.

And just let's just note, yet again, the Democrats, I don't know what's wrong with them. They keep taking these positions that are so obviously insane and indefensible. just a wonder if not that long ago they were siding with that wife beater sticking up for the wife beta illegal immigrant criminal and that's that's supposed to be you know they the great stand they were

Kilmar who by the way just the breaking news on that this morning is he has a final order of deportation he's not coming back he's definitely leaving just so people might I bet we'll see Democrat politicians at the airport trying to cling onto him and keep him in the country I mean it's just a joke and here they are again now

defending something that the vast majority of Americans thinks is outrageous, which is their money going towards people who shouldn't even be here in the first place. California is an example of why they're lying. They say they don't want this and it's all made up. No, Gavin Newsom in California has officially introduced, it's not even hidden. He put a line item in the budget. And even this year in his budget, where there was blowback, even from Democrats, about the scale of this, he pretended to limit the benefits that illegal immigrants get in terms of health care in California through our version of Medicaid. He increased the budget, and here's the number.

It's over $12 billion in California spent on free health care for illegal immigrants. And so the idea that they're not for this is a joke. We can see this, they are. And also, it's the point about they keep going on Democrats about, oh, community hospitals closing. Why are they closing? Because they are overrun with illegal immigrants taking the getting in the, so here's my impression of this.

said this earlier in the show, I've been saying this. And the vice president's been expressing this as well. It seems what's happened here is that Democrats, especially in a state like California, they imported a lot of illegal aliens. They just brought a lot of people into the state. And up until the Trump administration, they were using federal taxpayer resources to subsidize what they did to our country. And then when Trump cut them off, now they've got massive expenditures that they don't know how to pay for without fleecing federal taxpayers. So what we're witnessing right now is a blue state bailout. That's what they're attempting to push for because your state is overrun with the illegal aliens.

Now you have massive expenditures piling up. And if federal taxpayers aren't going to shoulder it, it's going to be stuck onto state taxpayers, which California, you're already paying ridiculous taxes to begin with. So it just looks like they created this disaster. And now they're asking the rest of us to pay for it. 100% correct. And in fact, there's even more. They've created all these ridiculous taxes.

You know, there's a provider tax, which is all a completely manufactured gimmick in order to extract more federal money for the bailout, exactly as you put it, for the massive expansion of all sorts of services. I'm not just health care. You look at their schools as well, public schools. I mean, I'm on the road the whole time in California, and you just hear story after story in communities where everything is overwhelmed by the scale of the illegal immigration, that they're not just allowed, but encouraged. And it's just, and people have had enough of it, including in California. And so this is a very, very strong argument as part of my campaign, that we're just going to stop this kind of ridiculous spending that means that Californians just don't get the services they need. And as you say, we have, as a result, the highest taxes in the country. Let me end on one other element of illegal immigration that we probably need to spend more time on.

But I know California is afflicted by this. gang problems in California are immense. There's huge problems with illegal alien gangs in California. And there's also huge problems with the drug cartels operating in California, practically with with, with impunity and without any meaningful consequence. You have grow operations for drugs in California that are just getting away with literal murder in a lot of cases. How big of a deal is this for your state? And I see it all the time.

A couple of weeks ago I was up in the northern part of the state where it's a massive issue with the cartels, both Mexican and you've got Chinese operations there as well, stealing water to grow illegal weed. And as you say, there's the massive explosion of crime. I'm in Los Angeles right now. I was just speaking with a pastor last night who's working on the streets in what he describes as the world's center for human trafficking in Los Angeles, where you've got a three-mile stretch. of a street where every night you've got the gangs trafficking young girls. Nothing's being done about it because the California legislature passed a law that meant that LAPD can't actually do anything. So you're resorting to church leaders trying to do something about it.

It's disgusting what they've allowed to happen. And at the same time, these Democrats lecture us about compassion and social justice and all the rest of it. I mean, they are totally out of control. That's why I'm very confident despite people thinking, oh, California's never going to change. change. I'm very confident that we will win this election next year when people see that we just can't go on like this in California. Okay, let me, the chat is asking a couple of questions

and I came to mind and I just, I'll finish with this then. I said I'm finished. Now I'll really finish with this. One, California has ballot harvesting in its elections. Will you be using that to your advantage in order to win this race? And then two, and of course, will you try and get that change. And then, and then two, if you don't win the primary, will you be committing to support the Republican, whoever that is? Oh, 100%. I mean, we've got to have change in whatever capacity. We have to have change in California. I love this state. I raise my family here. I've started a business here. I'm not giving up on California one way or another. We're going to bring about the change. I'll be there fighting that. In terms of ballot harvesting, yes, we've got to

whatever we think of these things, they are the rules and we've got to use the rules to win. One important thing, though, is that I want to highlight to everyone, there's a ballot initiative about to start collecting signatures for voter ID in California. That is going to be huge. If we get that on the ballot for next year, it's going to help us massively flip the state because it'll help us with the turnout we need because there are enough Republican voters in California for me to win next year. We just got to get them out and voter ID is going to be a big part of motivating people to come out next year and vote for change. I love it. But we succeeded with the great Steve Hilton. Glad to have him here. We were just talking a moment ago about what's going on in Memphis, Tennessee. And that's where I want to take you next, because we've got a success story that's worth dwelling on here.

Memphis is a very violent place, very, very violent place. And as I've been advocating here on this program, I was looking for the president to not just try and go into these blue states, but instead to go into red states with these violent Democrat-run cities. And he did that. The president announced recently that he was going into Memphis, and this week we are seeing the fruits of that labor. In the first 48 hours of the Trump administration's presence in Memphis,

we already get these results. There's Todd Blanche from the United States Department of Justice. saying on X, that, quote, Memphis has the highest violent crime rate in America and already more than 150 murders this year. Broken bail and failed local leadership have fueled the crisis. In just two days at the president's direction, the Memphis Safe Task Force made 53 arrests, including 12 illegal aliens and seized illegal guns. This is how we make Memphis. safe again. And we won't stop until every community in America is safe. All right. So that's just in 48 hours, 53 arrests. There's a lot more to do, of course, in a place like Memphis. But it is

underway. And as proof of the Trump administration's commitment to Memphis, we get a big press conference yesterday that included the Tennessee governor, Bill Lee, as well as a bunch of top Trump administration officials. Here is Governor Bill Lee doing what every single one of these Democrat governors should be doing, which is thanking the President of the United States for the offer of help, accepting it, and cleaning up their cities. Here's Tennessee Governor Bill Lee cut nine yesterday. I'm very grateful to the president. I'm very grateful to his team, but I'm very grateful for you, for you who are out there doing the hard work, who are putting yourselves in a harm's way. Yeah, thank you. And by the way, that speech is to the men and women of law enforcement

as Governor Bill Lee indicates his gratitude to the president and the cops who are putting themselves in their lives on the line each day to try and bring a peace to a very violent city that needs a rescue. Love seeing that. Now, a part of that effort is the role that the National Guard are playing. There's a whole bunch of agencies who were involved here, but the National Guard involved The Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also appearing at this press conference in Memphis, Tennessee. Here's the great Pete Hegseth cut ten. Look at this. I'll just say what a privilege it is to be here.

We see you up front, we see you in the back. I see green, blue, black, tan, camouflage. All together, one pause, one seat. It's really cool to have a bit. privilege and we all do, Steven, Pam, myself, so many others, to see how much President Trump loves Americans, American cities, and American citizens. Now he puts America first. And at the Department of the War, we're proud to be part of that effort to ensure we're defending the homeland and defending those who defend the homeland. Yeah, we're proud to be a part of this.

You see him thank everybody from all the various law enforcement agencies. He was picking them out on the color of their uniforms. So the man is not colorblind. He can pick out the colors. But there he is. Thank you everybody. That's a big sign. It's not every day that you get the Secretary of War showing up in your community.

But it's a sign of the seriousness of the Trump administration. He was standing alongside the Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondi, who was there. And he was also standing next to Stephen Miller, one of the top of the United States, officials in the Trump White House, who that guy's electric. He's, he wakes up every day. His wife just said recently, obsessed about America in trying to save her. And here's Stephen Miller giving, I think, one of the speeches of the week, we've had a couple of them. Earlier this week, Pete Higgseth gave an amazing speech to all the generals and the admirals, which I think is phenomenal. But one of the speeches of the week from the Trump administration as he rallies law enforcement

to save Memphis, Tennessee. Here's Stephen Miller. To the Memphis Police Department, the officer in the city in front of me, we are about to provide you with a level of support you cannot even imagine. This isn't just a task force. This is a all-of-government unlimited support operation.

ATF, DEA, FBI, ICE, Department of War, every resource we have. And then I'm going to be sitting behind a desk at a keyboard. We are sending in real cops with guns and matches to go out with you on the street every single night making arrests. These are people who have taken down drunk cars, king pins, the worst criminal vendors in the United States, standing with you shoulder to shoulder to shoulder. All we ask from you is to show up at roll call every single night with your brink.

brothers and sisters in the federal government and to go out and get the criminals off the street and if you do that i pledge to you we will liberate this city from the criminal element that is plagued for generations this is not just a strategy shift this is an attitude shift we are not going to live in an environment every wall anywhere where there is a street that belongs to the criminal where there is a neighborhood that belongs to the game where there is any physical space anywhere that belongs to anyone other than the law-abiding citizens and families of Memphis. The idea that there's a queer image of law in this city where a citizen doesn't feel safe is unacceptable.

This is Memphis, this is the United States of America, and all that bullshit is done. It's over. It's finished. I can't love it more. I just can't love it more. I'm so glad that these guys are doing it. And it's nice to hear guys talk like that.

Just be plain spoken to encourage law enforcement and say, hey, look, any inch of city in America that is being controlled by criminals, we are done, as the Secretary of War would say, with that shit. We are. No more. We're not doing that anymore. Justin, that's your cue. Justin, that's your cue.

We're done with that shit. Thank you very much. We're done with that shit. We're done with it. Get rid of it. Enough. And it's not just Memphis. And look, you got Democrat run cities and states.

This has to be done in two, whether they like it or not. Going to Chicago. Going to L.A. Going to Portland, Oregon right now. Holy cow. You see these weak little pieces of garbage who are going out with their lightsabors and sticks, hitting reporters, hitting law enforcement, laying ice under siege every night. Just drag their stupid, pathetic ass.

If you can flip it around and show him. he's saying he's hoping that this action by Trump will help make this city safer take a listen to a man that we talk to in a neighborhood that basically says he welcomes the idea of this federal action yeah so even CNN's going out in the street what do you think of this Trump sucks right no actually I'm super happy that he's here so you get that gentleman standing there with his dark

bag of hat Democrats destroyed Memphis and then he and then the CNN reporter which you know he was trying to figure out what do I do about this this guy's in my camera frame so it's like all right well let's just talk about that he's here. Here's one guy who thinks that it's great. When you turn your sign around, go ahead. And when he does, he turns his sign around, it says, thank you, President Trump. Thank you, President Trump.

Now, it didn't have to be this way. It didn't have to be this way. You know, you can have a sensible bail program in that state. You don't have to release all these criminals back under the streets in no time where they can inflict more damage. You can actually defend the people of your state. You could demonstrate that if someone calls 911, that the cops will actually show up.

placed the bad guy under arrest, and then that person is not back out on the street in no time. You could do that. It would make the city safer. But Democrat didn't. Democrats have sold out the people of Memphis. They've sold out the people of L.A. They've sold out the people of Portland, the people of Chicago, the people of Washington, D.C. So now, guess what? Daddy's home. Now we've got somebody who's going to step up and say, you know what, I'm going to do something about this. I'm going in. I'm going to smack these people around. We're going to restore order. It has to be done. Vance in the vice presidential debate. And then Kamala Harris in her book that she didn't even write, whoever wrote it for her complained that Tampon Tim sucked in his debate against J.D. Vance. He was too nice to J.D. Vance. Well, Tampon Tim just did a stage thing, like interview,

where he admits that he wasn't ready for United States Marine and now vice president J.D. Vance. Here's Tampon Tim, cut 13. As far as the book and things like that go, I think she has every right to be critical. I do think I let her down on a couple things. And I, you know, I warned my Minnesota nice thing is, if somebody's being nice to me, I'll be nice to them.

You're talking about the debate with J.D. Vance, where she criticized you. Yeah, these people have seen me debate. I'm, you know, I know my subject. I'm pretty good at it. I'm not, I don't think I'm particularly mean. If the vice presidential debate mattered, Dan Quayle would have never been vice president with Lloyd Benson. But it did matter. It did matter, though.

And it was, I think, in the moment we were in, In preparing for that, and quite honestly, we did not prepare for him to be more cordial. The expectation was that he would do the false attacks and do some of that, and they didn't. So I'll give them this. They were well prepared. But my goal was trying to find, you know, getting there, and I'm saying, you know, we all want to fix immigration, but you're doing, you know, you're doing the dogs and cat stuff. What we're talking about is fixing the system, adjudicating, you know, asylum claims faster. That was viewed as me trying to find common ground.

And the teacher in me, and this is nervous tick or habit. that we have when you're a teacher, when someone else is speaking next to you, you instinctively not and listen and try and listen. And that was viewed as, and the vice president took it, took it that I was agreeing on some of the things that were a personal attack on her

and it wasn't that at all. Because when the teachers are in any other ones, like, that's really interesting. It's dumb as hell, but it's very interesting. You know, I was doing that. He's such an idiot. They said, we really wanted to fix the illegal immigration problem. We really want to, really want to,

Because I'm pretty sure your running mate was the border czar. You remember that? And what did the border czar do to stop the flow of illegal immigration? Oh, nothing. Nothing should give us the, we got the do not come speech. That was funny. That was a funny moment in American history. But beyond that, nothing.

In fact, again, it wasn't like the left just, man, shoot, we really messed up. We didn't secure the border as well as we should have. You brought these people in. You imported them into America. by the millions. And then you gave them health care. And now you're lying to us about that. So what's the theme of this program?

The left lies to us. Even then? And yes, you got your ass handed to you by J.D. Vance. Yes, you weren't ready for it. And I've got news for you. You never were going to be ready for it. And you were going to get your ass handed to you every time in every iteration of that debate.

There's no alternative universe where you walk away and you beat J.D. Vance on that. Sorry, Tampon, Tim. Sorry, and I love, I still love that she went with him because Pete Buttigieg was somehow too gay to be her running mate. So she went with Tim Wals. Do the math on that.
