Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This is the Dunluba Tarshou with the Stugat's Podcast. South Florida Sports Expert, Jeremy Tashay and I were putting pen to paper and ranking the top professional South Florida sports Expert Jeremy Tasha and I were putting pen to paper and ranking the top Professional South Florida sports athletes right now our top three does not have any Miami Heat Player Agreement like there are three Miami Heat Players in the top 10 just none of them top three when one sandy number one We went Tyree kill number two and we went Matthew could chuck number three We can get into that later. You're just doing excellence. You're just, yeah, dominance like individual excellence.
Starting point is 00:00:49 Let me tell you something. I was listening to you guys last week. Brought up, you guys are talking about the, the, the, could chuck trade. And I was like, that MF are still playing? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Cause you guys got to say the last name. And that's the voice that Matt Matthew. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm a shame to say that for a fraction of a sense gate for a fraction of a second during that charger's Jags game, I thought, wait a minute, a Sunday Samuel still in the league. Let me tell you something, man. It's tough with Pats or Tan and a Sunday Samuel. We're out there. Go ahead. You said, let me tell you something and then you just gave me comments.
Starting point is 00:01:25 No, that's the, let me tell you something. It's like, oh, like I'm basically echoing what you just said. That is a very enthusiastic and do- That was emphasis. Let me tell you something. Okay, because I was just waiting for you to tell me something.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Stugats isn't here, I'm guessing, because he went O and five this weekend after telling us all year. I think you went O and six. Okay. Thank you. I haven't checked. I'm pretty positive. He had the bucks. I think you went on six. Okay. Thank you. I haven't checked. I'm pretty positive. He had the bucks.
Starting point is 00:01:48 I don't know whether he's hiding because of that or because Tom Brady, I care about you or I've got to check the dead schedule as well. Don't do it, Dan. He was playing in the sand. Chris Cody's not here. When was he playing in the sand? Was it East Brother Ferd when he was on acid outside the show in the parking lot with a stick in the sand? Was it East Brother Ferdinand when he was on acid outside the show in the parking lot with a stick in the sand?
Starting point is 00:02:08 Which is actually funny, because the show that he was at is also called playing in the sand. It must be just a dead thing. He was literally playing in the sand. I don't know if that was the dead or not. Chris Cody is not here because he's stuck in Buffalo or stuck in Cleveland? What happened? Yeah, so he went to Dolphins, Bills on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:02:26 He was meant to travel back yesterday. If I got canceled, he had a drive to Cleveland. And I don't believe arrived in Miami until late in the morning, early in the morning today. Dan, let's say he's stuck in Frontierland. That's where he's stuck. That's always dangerous to fly Frontier. Oh, my God, what a gamble. Billy, you held something off the microphone
Starting point is 00:02:48 about Chris Cody or you're questioning. He could get here. Juju was home yesterday. I like, you know, noon basically. Not even. Juju was home yesterday. We recorded Godless football at 9 a.m. and Juju made it like 9.30.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Well, we have some saunters and waddlers and people who show less than maximum effort as evidence by Greg Cody is now walking in behind me Several several minutes late to talk dolphins foot. I wanted Chris to be here so bad today. I'm not totally surprised that he's not Okay, that's not my fault Greg looks great today by the way cold does Greg well. Yeah, I mean that's a good looking shirt Yeah, I like Baldwin and Beetlejuice look. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Oh wow. Well, I was hoping that Alex Baldwin. I was hoping Chris would be here today because he had probably my favorite Instagram stories ever yesterday. Like, I don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but man, hoof, those eyes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:40 He had a day yesterday. Who is his voice? He didn't want to know his voice. Who is his voice, man. Our audience missed out on not having his voice on today's show. This is Chris Cody, officially. Chris Cody. Chris Cody.
Starting point is 00:03:52 That dog river. That is not. That is not. That is not. This is not Skyloos fault. I wanted to ask you because after watching Josh Allen play football and it really is amazing and a pleasure and it is messy. He has more in receptions than anyone in the sport. Fumbles a ton and they've lost three games this season by two, three and three points. Probably
Starting point is 00:04:18 shouldn't have lost any of them and won all the others. And he plays football the way that an eight year old would, if it woke up in the morning and realized it had a giant arm. Like Tom Hanks and Big. Yeah, that's a great analogy actually. We don't talk enough about the fact that his throwing arms hurt
Starting point is 00:04:38 because he still throws it a lot further. But since the injury, he's been a hell of a lot more reckless it would seem and those plays are going south. I thought he was going to say we don't talk enough about big. I was going to say, yeah, absolutely. What a great movie. Well, it's just a little weird. If you really watch, yeah,
Starting point is 00:04:52 one thing is like, what's out? There's a lot of body like, yeah, it's a lot of body. Great. You think it would be canceled today? You don't think it could go. It can't go today because he's being seduced by a woman as a child. Not just seduced. See? Oh, yeah. Sealed a child. Not just seduced. See?
Starting point is 00:05:06 Oh, yeah. Sealed the deal. Yes, he did. Regardless. Did you guys see the average pass thrown by Josh Allen in the fourth quarter with the lead? I did not, I was, I did not see much of anything this weekend, even though I was there to watch. It was just Vegas.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Vegas. Yeah. Yeah. 26.3 yards of pass in the fourth quarter. That's what he's just, he's, he's, he's got the lead. It's against an all or nothing game against the team with the third string quarterback. And the dolphins of course are begging sure. Go ahead and keep throwing 70 yard passes. You're going to complete one of them or two of them sure. But we're out here with our third string quarterback.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And now the numbers on Josh Allen, he fumbled 16 times this year, eight against the golfants. Can I say something controversial? Oh, controversy. He has a stupid face. Oh, oh my god. But the makers of Eli Manning, he just has this face that it's like, what's going on with you? It just always looks confused or stupid, or like he's lucky for things.
Starting point is 00:06:09 It's just like, I think highly of it, more highly of him if I didn't have to see his face. Like put one of those visors on or something, I'd be like, wow, this guy is good, but then I see his face and I'm just like, and Christian Wilkins should have snapped him in half like a twig. That was the moment.
Starting point is 00:06:23 That was the moment that I think a lot of people sort of wrecked, oh, this guy's just like, he's a really sore loser. And like not even a loser in terms of games, but it's like, all right, you throw us an interception and like, I'm gonna take it out on Christian Wilkins. I'm gonna start a fight. Like the preseason training camp fight that he started was very clearly because he doesn't take things not going well,
Starting point is 00:06:44 very well and I think it reflects in his face. Put it on the pole, please, Guillermo at Levitage show. Does Josh Allen have a stupid face? Even when he succeeds, he like sauters about and he has like a strut, like he does his like Vince McMahon thing walking around after like a big pass and he's like, oh, like it's true. It is true.
Starting point is 00:07:02 I'm coming around on bad face. He'll hear too is part of it, I think. I'm coming around on that. He's not a likable guy. His game is not like. Now he's taking it too far. Yeah. No, he's not.
Starting point is 00:07:12 He's not having it. Yeah. He's not likable guy. I'm not. He's not like a guy. No, he really is. He can't, he cannot grow a beard. You're right about that.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Buffalo's not likable. Mm-hmm. There, you know, as the standard bearer for the AFC East, Buffalo's a very wobbly team. They're not very dominant. I think the dolphins are better. You're a homeowner. They would have run with a two-up.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Absolutely. You're a, without question. You think they're better. They've lost by two, three, and three, and one, all their other games. You think the dolphins are better. Okay, very good. But, but Buffalo, Buffalo, be better Sunday with the...
Starting point is 00:07:47 They would be Miami by three. And the dolphins beat them by three. And then they just beat them again by three at the weekend with the dolphins third string quarterback. I think the dolphins have a right to be a claim to be on the same level as Buffalo. You think they were sleepwalking though? I mean, this is interesting because I heard that.
Starting point is 00:08:03 At the end of that game, Roma and Nance were talking about their division rivals that know each other. I mean, this is interesting because I heard that at the end of that game, Romo and Nance were talking about their division rivals that know each other. Of course, this game's close, which isn't what they were saying at 21 nothing before a reverse, before a reversed call made at 17 nothing. And then dolphins are field-golling their way. And then Josh Allen is Josh Allening because he's he's reckless. He's an unbelievably talented quarterback who is super reckless.
Starting point is 00:08:24 I thought they'd coached it out of him. They haven't but they win anyway. They're quite differential is the best in the league. I think maybe San Francisco is better now, but they they crush and They never lose big like I understand not liking them But they've been unbelievably great this season even with a great many injuries I wanted to talk to you guys about some of the things that happened in that game because Billy You're now actively what you're rooting against the bills because the thing that I took away from Josh Allen and Wilkins is good God, how is Josh Allen as strong as Wilkins like how is how are they pushing each other and it's not Josh Allen's going flying
Starting point is 00:09:06 to the 50 yard line? How is the ground trying to push him? He's a punk. You had Josh Allen on your fantasy team, right? Yeah, he was in a quarterback. Yeah, that was a seed of everything. Most people would be like, oh, right with him. If he was their fantasy quarterback, but there were a couple of games that, oh, no, I mean, I'm fine with him. I'm fantasy, but I separate the fantasy me. Exactly. Exactly. From the beer list, man. Exactly right. Mm-hmm. Stupid face. Go ahead. You and Cody go ahead. Be those guys today. You lost to the bills. You had your season ended. You had your season ended, but Homer Cody who had them going to the Super Bowl is going to make the argument that they're better than
Starting point is 00:09:40 the bills. You think that bills look good this weekend? That was a horrible performance by the bill. There's no way you're watching weekend? That was a horrible performance by the bills. There's no way you're watching that game. And at some point, it's in holy shit, Skylar Thompson's about to win this game. You wanna think in that? I will tell you something funny.
Starting point is 00:09:54 At no point during that game, did I think the dolphins would win? Really? And if right now we were sitting here and they had one, I still wouldn't think they'd win. Like at no point during that game Did I think the dolphins are going to win this game by three not not when they recovered a thumble in the end
Starting point is 00:10:10 So I'm like the dolphins will lose this game at the end the same way they did in November I'm not I'm not saying that that's 20 years man They don't want to play off game in 20 years. You can't you can't you can't put that on them, man You can't I don't like what people do that. I mean history is a franchise fair and and and layer on people most of whom were not around for that totally fair but look at how they lost it wasn't because of their third string quarterback. It's because they got the place in I couldn't get the play. No, no. No, this is that's my favorite meme from the week as a picture of the play clock dolphins. This is a play clock.
Starting point is 00:10:46 You want to get it off before it hits zero. And also on that last one, they did like the push thing to send it back up to 25. The Dolphins had 51 seconds to get a play in and couldn't get a play in. I actually think it has something to do with the backup quarterbacks. It seems like a very complex offense to run and Tuha has 12 months of practicing it and they seem to get the operation right when he's in the game. When Teddy Bridgewater or Skyletombs and have to play, that's a minimum of two time outs off the board from the beginning of the game from how they run that operation.
Starting point is 00:11:14 So much pre-snap movement and the plays are complex that like from the beginning of the game, you know, you're losing time. There was some pretty damning video that showed Mike McDaniel during that whole sequence. We're looked like he genuinely was surprised that it was fourth down. Well, he was told it was first down in his headset. So it was a monumental f up on the part of the coaching staff, including McDaniel. But to say that that's why they lost the game is a bit ridiculous. It was a fourth and one from their own 43. I think
Starting point is 00:11:45 even if they make it, it's a long way to the goal line. They lost because they, first of all, they're starting a right tackle who they promoted from the practice squad two days earlier. They're missing their leading running back. They're done to a third string quarterback who is totally overmatched. We all remember how great he looked in the preseason and we're like, wow, this guy, well, in a real game, when it matters, he's a rookie seven-throw thick and playing like it. He threw a couple of interceptions and he was not efficient. But man, Waddle dropped a handful of seconds. The whole team forgot to catch. A giant plays. And so Tyreek. So you're saying this, but there were throws there that if I
Starting point is 00:12:25 just make guys who always catch it, catch it, you're having a different conversation about the game that he was. Well, he was 18 for 45, even if you factor in four drop passes, that's still a bad completion. He was not accurate. And at one point, and I think Romo said this on the broadcast at one point Tyree kill was wide open for a touchdown pass and he just went elsewhere and incomplete. It was at one point. It was the fourth and sixth play to get the final play again. It was the last play and Tyree kill was wide open, but it's all of it.
Starting point is 00:12:58 When you say to me, did you expect the dolphins to win? No, I didn't expect them to win when they expect them to cover when they were winning in the fourth quarter. Right. Really? Yeah. I mean, like, I just sort of, I mean, I'm holding on to dolphins plus 13 and a half, but I'm just going like, you because you can see Buffalo scoring 14 points in three minutes happening at any point in the game. It's always a lingering possibility. I thought everything that started the game, it looked like it was going to
Starting point is 00:13:24 be the way everyone said it was gonna be and then they settled down And they're like no F this we're here to win and I think Buffalo got smacked in the face. I'm with you guys. I'm with you Billy He's not good when things are going bad. Mm-hmm. They look shook. They were they were well willing and ready to fold like long. Right. And the lack of talent or whatever you want to call it, the at some point, you are overachieving, it reaches a limit, right? It reaches a limit. Well, these guys, these aren't the Vikings. The bills are not the Vikings. They're not a frothy team that wins. But they're not the chiefs. They've been lost at home to the Vikings. They've been set out to be this behemoth and no one can conquer the entire sea.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Oh, how can anyone, the bills are just gonna son through their way into the Super Bowl. No one can compete with them. And that's not the case with this. I agree with Billy. They got fat early in the season, off of bad teams.
Starting point is 00:14:19 And really since that chiefs game, they've seemed like they've been playing with their food so much so that I realized, it's been since October, since this team has been the team that looked worthy of that heavy favorite to come out of the AFC. They, you want to talk about point differential, since Josh Allen's injury, they're wheezing in some of these games. They need, they need kinds of return kicks exactly to get over the line against a new england they should have lost that new england they they haven't
Starting point is 00:14:48 looked good they lost at home to the Vikings who which we all now know is our fraud Mike you saw the way they lost at home to the Vikings they're fumbling on their own one-yard line with the game one right that's not a comment you are correct you are correct you still look like that Josh Allen has been a more midling quarterback since he got injured. There's something wrong with his elbow and his stupid face. And his statistics over the last second, the second half of the season make it so the giant disparity that you had before. Now it's more football when they just play games. It can be a three-point
Starting point is 00:15:22 game, but I'll say it again in that league salary capped where everybody can lose any weekend. They've lost by two, three and three and one all of their other football games. Yeah, they were elephant in the room. We'll find out this weekend who the better team is, but it looked like they were on Gordon to be on the receiving end of a blowout in Cincinnati. But when you say, when you guys say they haven't been dominant, I ask you how much more dominant would you want them to be than leading the sport in point differential?
Starting point is 00:15:52 You want them to look like the Niners, ten in a row, and I think the Niners may have passed them in point differential and doing it with their third string quarterback, but they can't because their quarterback throws interceptions, fumbles, and spends the fourth quarter of a of a think about how stupid what I'm saying is the dolphins were begging him to throw deep in his average fourth quarter throw was 26 and a half yards. Right. But in the first month of the season, they beat the Rams 31 to 10. They beat the Titans 41 to seven and they beat the Steelers 38 to three. This is all before October 9th. Since that injury, they are flatly not that team in the point differential that you're
Starting point is 00:16:31 referring to does not reflect the team that they've been since then. But their defense has been better in the first half of the season than it's been more recently. They don't lose games big. No, they barely lose, but granted again, it looked like we were headed that way in Cincinnati, just the, it will find out on Sunday if Cincinnati see Cincinnati is playing better football at this point in the season. The Buffalo is pretty.
Starting point is 00:16:56 You're right. So scan the city. So San Francisco Buffalo might not be a top five team right now. They're rated. They're a paper champion that's never won anything. Yeah. But we, yes, it's true, but we are sending ourselves up for a paraded gaspag. So they're still a very good. No, no, they suck. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, the narrative, we talked about yesterday and God bless football. The narrative around them is really strange because I don't know if you caught on at the beginning of the game,
Starting point is 00:17:22 rumors referring to them as the champs. They've not won part of my French shit. That was where what champs are the, oh please see, he's chants. No, but he even corrected himself. They all win divisions with losing records now. Get out of here. He stumbled, he stumbled around after, he said, I call them the champs,
Starting point is 00:17:39 even though they're not the champs. They're not champs, but they try to present themselves as these champions that have accomplished all this stuff. And then at the same time, like this story book tale underdog team that's kind of making their way to the next round. It's like, get out of here. You were like a 14 point favorite.
Starting point is 00:17:55 How are we celebrating? This is such a great, wow, look at them. The little engine that could Buffalo bills are making it on to the divisional round. Let's see how far this ride can go. Like, get out of here. Frauds, frauds, say it did. I'm not gonna come on that. They were the super bowl favorite, betting favorite,
Starting point is 00:18:13 most of the season until people rush. You know what? They're not that good. Not looking that quarterback's face. Miami's better. Miami would have won. Yes. Miami might have won Sunday by two or three touchdowns
Starting point is 00:18:23 if two ahead. Wow. That's a statement, Dan. They hadn't won that. They hadn't won by two or three touchdowns if two had wow. That's a statement. They hadn't won that. They had him won by two or three touchdowns in the games of two of play. Then against them. What's your point? But yesterday, but yesterday, Sunday, I'm all here for down 17, zero. Got it. Exactly. Because two, I wasn't there. Maybe up 17, zero to a play. It's a rivalry. It's a rivalry. Josh Helen Kinkrow beard. I understand why the emotion is pouring out of folks today.
Starting point is 00:18:50 But come on, we sound a little absurd. Oh, not only do we sound absurd, this is now America's team. And after having your season ended by them, after Cody predicted the dolphins would win the Super Bowl, he has no idea and you guys have no idea how you sound. They're not a team America. They're not. They're not that good. We should have won. We're better. Okay. You couldn't get the plays in on time. Like that's, that's what you wanted to win in that game. You had 51 seconds on fourth and short, not 24. You had 51 because they restarted the clock and you still you can't get plays in on time.
Starting point is 00:19:25 We're better with they're not dominant. You got a stupid face. You suck. Okay. But look, it took that for them to win. Think about that. They almost lost a team that couldn't get the plays in on time. You were telling me this is the best team in the NFL. They're the betting favorites. That's right. Yes. Go. Yes. That's what I was too. God was here. Good. That's too. God was was was growing about Mike McDaniel and well, Kyle Shannon has doing it with his third string quarterback. And why can't we do it? Man, how about that? Man, I was watching that game. I was like, Mike McDaniel, son of a bitch, you're doing it. Did you rip a vape just now? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Yeah. Did it. It looked like it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah How do you think that Skylar Thompson would look on the 49ers? Cause I was wondering that while the game was going on. I don't know, man, that, that interception that he threw in the first quarter where he just didn't see the guy in front of Tyree Kill and just through its straight into defender. It was an under thrown ball anyway. That interception. And then the one that was killer was when you take up penalty to make it like third and 17. And I understand aggressive Mike McDaniel.
Starting point is 00:20:42 I was going to try and push it, but trying to throw the ball down the field when you have a lead against Buffalo and like that, that's begging to be intercepted. Just like, I'm not run the ball and punt guy, but run the ball and punt when it's guys are Thompson on third and 17 inside your own 10. He was rolling. That's playing the result. No, no, he, no, I was saying it at the time. I was saying, I love the fact that McDaniel was aggressive on that play.
Starting point is 00:21:05 He's trying to win the ball game in Buffalo as a two touchdown underdog. Be aggressive. Don't punt in that situation. But if you're going to compare Skylar Thompson and Brock Pertie, how about one of them has the best running back in football and a great offensive line and the best defense we've seen in ages and the other doesn't big difference. And if you think that the dolphins clock mismanagement on Sunday was not directly related to Skylar Thompson being there instead of two you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:21:35 That's it. You know what? I'd love to see Skylar Thompson in his second playoff game. You know that first one, the jitter's man, but like, j like jitters and get him it got jaylen waddle you realize how much You did for him you understand how much different Skylar Thompson stats would look like if you've a jaylen waddle could catch Do you understand what second hand jitters are? I'm jittery for you right now Cody what is your analysis of what what do you mean? Ha a good question. Yeah, what are you asking second hand jitters My I thought I've been talking about my analysis for the last 20 minutes I guess you haven't been near my analysis My analysis is that Miami is a better team than Buffalo and would have won comfortably
Starting point is 00:22:16 Sunday with two at quarterback Buffalo was overrated They should hang a banner for that. They should instead of a playoff banner They should hang a banner for that. They should instead of a playoff banner, they should hang a banner at Dolphin. We would have won if two ahead played in a game that we'll never see so we can imagine. That's a great with that. Yes, I disagree with that. I think they would have lost at Buffalo. Under all the circumstances, the same way they lost at Buffalo. The last time they played there, even though they were up 29, one, and then all of a sudden, reckless Josh Allen is going for the longest career run of his life. And they're getting a two point conversion.
Starting point is 00:22:47 I thought the Buffalo bills before the season were the best team in the sport. And I still think that I still I still think that the them Kansas City San Francisco are the best teams in the sport and the Josh Allen's elbows hurt. And he's reckless. And if that it's not sustainable to win the way Jacksonville did go ahead and throw Four interceptions again in a first half Trevor Lawrence and see if it works out for you If he doesn't protect the football the way that he didn't against the dolphins. Yes. That's the only way to beat them Are you saying right now in front of God in country that the bills are gonna beat the the Bengals?
Starting point is 00:23:23 Yes, oh Got a future ticket to NC Joe B Joe B was mad cool. No, he they almost lost To play them very good Should have what I should have what I think that's been there should say should have what a that's on his arm by the way has looked fine as a stupid face is throwing every put it on the pole at Levitage show gear. What's the worst way to lose the way the chargers did or the way that the Ravens did the chargers of 27 nothing in the first half the Ravens right at the goal line all they need to do is get a yard and then what you can't do is that to wear.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Oh boy. Boy genius Brandon Staley, huh? The charges way to lose was the worst because that's slow death. That's slow embarrassment. And Justin Herbert, by the way, he's got to take, I know the coach may be fired because of this. Justin Herbert may never live this down. I sound like Stugas now making a declarative isn't true, but you can't lose.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Justin Herbert, when a playoff game, you're up 27 to nothing. What are you doing? They convert one more third down the chargers, they win that game. Like one of those, I'm not saying that in a woodish way. I can't remember.
Starting point is 00:24:43 I know, but it's like the over emphasisphasis on Brandon Staley's failure here. And yeah, they have a 27 and nothing lead. But like Justin Herbert, get a touchdown in the second half. Welcome to the party. I mean, they left three first half possessions out there. I know they had a 27 and nothing lead. It should have been bigger. They, the Jacksonville months, like it should have been, they, they must have put inside their own 10 yardline,
Starting point is 00:25:08 the Chargers recover it and it turns into a field goal. They had another red zone drive that resulted in a field goal. Cameron Dicker missed a field goal like they, they left 10 points out there on the field. The first half that should have been even bigger. He's getting crushed. Rex Ryan is saying he doesn't respect the game, but I just, I just think he's right. He's right. I just figured out, Billy, I'm zoned in on you because I figured out it took me a while to figure it out, but I now figured it out. That I was right about only one.
Starting point is 00:25:36 About Herbert and Staley and Josh Allen and all of you. You know, it was never blown at 27 point lead. Was that Billy to a wow. Only one team can win the Super Bowl and Billy's playing the math on I'm just going to rip everyone else and say everyone else sucks and I'm probably going to be right out of nine out of 10 because only one can win the Super Bowl at the end. Oh 100% that's what I do at the bills. They had a one in 32 chance of winning the Super Bowl and I said you know what they have
Starting point is 00:26:03 31 as if they've lost already. Oh, they're done. Come on. They're not going to walk in them. Please. They're four and a half point favorites against the Bengals. Wow.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Go hard on the Bengals. Yeah, because Vegas knows everything. Was that what was the spread going in the Sunday? 14. I mean, the money does tend to know a lot. Everybody knows a lot after the game. And all of you wanted it was 17, nothing, and 21, nothing. And they had to do like, they go to after the game. All of you, when it was 17, nothing and 21, nothing and they had to do like they go to replay on stuff, all of you, Cody, when it was when the graphic went up 21, nothing before they overturned the touchdown,
Starting point is 00:26:36 you were not here saying the dolphins are better. At that moment, no, of course not. But I was not shocked that that Josh Allen became Josh Allen, which is the gunslinger who's a very error prone. I was not surprised that the dolphins began to play like the team they are, which is much better. I happen to go five and one against the spread. There you go. Run to the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. that included outright upsets by the jags and giants and that included the dolphins covering. I had the dolphins losing by four. They lost by three. The least surprising thing in America is that a playoff game between two bitter rivals ended up being a close game. And again, I'm going to reiterate it. If two of it, Tunga Veloah is playing in that game, the dolphins not only win,
Starting point is 00:27:22 they win easily. Oh my gosh. You keep doing this thing, Dan, like, oh, did you expect it when the bills were up 17? Like, no, that's why they play four quarters. Like, you know, if they played a half and five seconds, the dolphins won that game because they had the lead five seconds into the second half. That's why they play four quarters. It all comes out in the wash. Dan, let me ask you a question. As a lifelong Miami resident, you've watched this dolphin seem you claim all i knew they were gonna lose because i'm not actually saying that i knew they were gonna know what i'm saying is i never i this is dead honest i never expected them to win that football game at any point while it was being played when they've got the ball when they've
Starting point is 00:27:59 got the lead i i'm this is gonna go the way the last buffalo game did they're up twenty nine twenty one and it way the last Buffalo game did they're up 29 21 and it doesn't matter at the end they're not going to win. Because they have a third string quarterback. So I and they're the dolphins. Oh, there you go. There it is. Cementic man, that's exactly what you went that whole walk around the park to come back
Starting point is 00:28:20 to the point that I made, which is you thought they were going to lose. You didn't know how, but you believe in your heart because the dolphins are a wretched organization. Something bad is going to happen and they're going to lose this game today. You're sitting here. Are you not walking away feeling upbeat and positive about the direction this team has had? I mean, I've been there with the dolphin since McDaniel took over.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I was hopeful just not we're gonna win the Super Bowl. I said if they lose the rest of their games at eight and three and they did, the season would still be a success. What do you want me to say? They couldn't get the plays in. But okay, I have a question for you. The dolphins. The dolphins in the bills played three times, right?
Starting point is 00:28:58 And you're talking about how much better the bills are than the dolphins. In three games, the point differential was four in three games. Yeah, the games were close and the bills won two of them. And the one that the dolphins won, not the end Josh is throwing into the ends on his arm hurts because he's thrown so many times in the game. They also ran out of time because they don't know how to manage the clock. They did yesterday to it the half. I mean, I mean, that was a bone headed play calling that time out because they were going by the jumbo trot.
Starting point is 00:29:25 The jumbo trot in their hometown, who was just showing the feed and not showing that they didn't have actual possession of the ball when the feed were down like that was a dumb play. And then instead of getting an extra play, they have to settle for a field goal. That could have easily been a touchdown. And then they go, yeah, they go into the half with with a bigger lead than they had. They're not, but then you will agree. They're not this dominant team.
Starting point is 00:29:46 In three games, they've only, they've only have four point difference. Billy, what I would say is in that league football, footballs, and there's not allowed to be a dominant team, but there is dominant as you can be. They don't lose ever by a lot. They sometimes win by a lot, and they've only lost three times all season.
Starting point is 00:30:06 And I've now put myself in the position where I can be wrong all the ways, because if Josh Allen is indeed reckless in the next game and they lose it, it's what I've been saying for three years that he's been playing MVP football. Yeah, according to our friends over at DraftKings, that line is five now.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Bill's her favored by five. Which means the money is going towards Buffalo because I believe it opened either at four or four. And the bangles can't block anybody again, right? The last. They lost the right one. And when he gets sack nine times, they play the playoff game that they did last year at Tennessee, where you're asking him to burrow it out at the end. And but can Josh Allen do a Tana Hill and turn it over like seven times.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Well, you guys, this is why I think the bills are overwhelming. They've lost only three times even though he leads the league and turning the ball over. It doesn't even matter. Like, that's not usually how that one goes. It goes that way in Dallas and it goes that way in Buffalo that that Brams won the Super Bowl with Stafford leading the league in interceptions, but it doesn't usually go that way way You're not usually so good that you can overcome your quarterback being a horse's ass, but also I fall in love every time He drops back to throw a deep pass. I'm in his love with I am in as love with his arm as he is Right, he loves let him rip even whatever elbow problem
Starting point is 00:31:23 He doesn't give a shit about the elbow problem like elbows like he's he's letting him rip like he loves Like and he loved as well and this is really frustrating from a dolphins point of view like he loves when the dolphins line up to Zeroblets it was really annoying to watch them try and put exasian how around an island with Stefan digs and say go Cover him one-on-one with your injured groins your, your, your tag team partner on the other side in Byron Jones all season long. You've been doing this all year. The dolphins are going to make defensive coaching changes because it was ridiculous to watch them try and run that offensive scheme. And you can tell Josh Allen's eyes would light up the second that they went into that look. They, I was at the post mortem press conference yesterday for the dolphins with General Manager Chris Greer and McDaniel and they sort of endorsed Josh Boyer as their defensive coordinator
Starting point is 00:32:10 moving forward. And the reason they say is that the defense, and this is true, very bad the first half of the season and much, much better the second half, including in the game Sunday, you give up 34 points, but you also have a lot of sacks and you force a lot of turnovers. I think the defense is not as much a problem as a lot of you guys care that the analysis seems to miss that there are a whole lot of people injured. No, right. For the 100% that you're saying that Greer is saying the defense is okay. And that defense that allowed all those points, no is saying the defense is okay and that defense that allowed all those points no matter what the scheming was, it was supposed to have a really strong
Starting point is 00:32:49 secondary. Yeah. Byron Jones has been invisible. He's been injured all year. What you say is a branded Jones too. Branded Jones too. That's a big problem. Holland got hurt in the game and Howard's playing her hurt.
Starting point is 00:33:01 Right. Yeah. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing.
Starting point is 00:33:09 And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. And he was the most amazing. kept coming back, they made a three point game with 10 minutes to play. I was stunned and I was really encouraged by my team.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Despite the fact they had no business being in that game. And if two had played, they would have won comfortably. Comfortably. Okay, thank you. If there's something as an encouraging loss, that was it. Oh my God, okay. There you go.
Starting point is 00:33:36 That's it. A moral victory. He can't do a moral victory. He can't do a moral victory on the road against Buffalo with your third string quarterback without missing your entire secondary. Can I do a little about that? You have a little bit of moral as well.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Against the most dominant team in the history of this four. The champs. Morally they got their ass. That's right. You guys are right. You guys are right. The audience that's listening to this. Moral blowout.
Starting point is 00:33:59 That's right. I'm going to get more out. It was a moral row. Put it on the guy. More out. It was a moral. Put it, put it, put it on the pole at Labatard show. Did the dolphins win a moral, have a moral blowout win against the bills because the country is rooting for the bills. And you guys don't have any idea how ridiculous all of you sound. Don Lebertard. It's the classic first ballad hall of famer the musical part Okay, where it's it can be a creaking door. It can be an orchestra
Starting point is 00:34:33 Tuning up before a concert and the bassoon is a little bit off key and it comes out Like that stoo got the musical part It's a beauty It is a beauty. Sorry. This is the down-lebuttar show with this two-gats. They're presented by Draft King Sportsbook and EFIXA Sportsmeeting partner of the NFL. Starting point is 00:35:11 But I wanted since you listened to Chris Greer yesterday, the general manager of the Dolphins. He had a quote that I was like, okay, is that right? Is that accurate? Quote. Doctors, doctors assured me to was not more prone to concussions than any other human being moving forward. Right. Well, eliminate all the being not playing football. The eliminate all of those. Can that quote be right? Assured doctors have assured me that he's not more prone to
Starting point is 00:35:44 concussions than any other human being going forward they tested all the humans then they know that was a dolphins best play us lost since nineteen ninety five why can't we be excited about that they haven't won a playoff game they would have a low k fair they played to they played to this entry and they lost both of them best loss since that best loss of ninety five or even losses them. Best loss since that's lost. 95.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Right. The losses have been blowouts. They have been lost. Big. This one was lost. This one was a blowout on the moral side for them. Yeah. A moral blowout.
Starting point is 00:36:14 That's right. What was that loss in that? 95. Was that a moral loss? The 95. Was that the nature on means thing? They lost to the charges 22 to 20 miles. That was that bullshit.
Starting point is 00:36:23 That got a shoe of fire. That got that. That was the standard that bullshit. That got a shoe of fire. Dirt got that what that was the standard. Shool. Yeah. I'm a fan at San Diego. It's one of them.
Starting point is 00:36:30 And that one was a moral loss. That the rest of the loss loss in a moral loss. This one was a moral victory. Right. More a moral route. Yes, it was a mount. Mm-hmm. Mike, I wanted to ask you because I saw this this weekend and it made me laugh.
Starting point is 00:36:46 The University of Miami staff shows up to a Lakeland high school and Cormone McLean ghosts them. Yeah. And ends up taking photos with Deon Sanders in Colorado. Yeah. Perfect. Yeah. He didn't sign with them just yet.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Well, he doesn't really know how signing day works. He's like, I'm going gonna sign on January 15th. No, that's not how it works. You got to sign in February. Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the guy. Well, this is for... Well, you're not a huge fan of a teenager. I have to be careful.
Starting point is 00:37:17 There's just that I appreciate all certain people go about things and I haven't been the biggest fan of how he's gone about. You're not a fan of a big fan of how a 17 year old or 18 year old goes about things and I haven't been the biggest fan of how he's gone about you and not a fan of a biggest fan of how a 17 year old or 18 year old goes about things but here's the weird thing not all 17 year old Zach like the the weird thing is all right he he embarrasses the you on signing day but then two or three days later amid all this controversy have they lost this guy he's at he's at a showcase game throwing up the you and dressed in Cain's garb. Yeah, I don't think he's coming to Miami.
Starting point is 00:37:49 He's so good. He's so good. It seemed like it then. Yeah, do you just do enough? I mean, you have a vantage point on this that's pretty interesting because I saw demonized all of these kids of this age taking the sneaker money. And now you see it sort of leaking into football and you get these situations and I can't be paid enough to be a person who shows up at a high school in Lakeland and
Starting point is 00:38:13 has to exist as a grown up adult with responsibilities to a job on a 17 year old kid's whims who thinks it's funny to go take photos with Dion Sanders doing snow angels in Colorado because you can, because you can. Not even just that like it's part of your job responsibilities to show up, but that largely your job proficiency depends on getting this person to commit to play for you. On begging a child and other and other players like him, like it's the main function of the job. That's the part that seems human. You know what it's like,
Starting point is 00:38:49 it's like trying to put a baby to sleep, you're trying to bargain with it, like what are you gonna do man? Like that's the job. You can't even, like here's my thing. Sure the coaches can feel kind of, oh man, I thought we had it in the bag or whatever. But like when people, like Mike started talking about man, I don't,
Starting point is 00:39:06 he's a kid man, what do you want from him? What do you want from him? They're, they're all, you, you should stand by your word. Why? No, no, no, no, they're, they're all kids and they all approach things different ways and I'm just telling you what I know I'm not, I'm not the biggest fan of how he's going about this. They, they're all kids, but on a sliding scale of a professional approach to how you go about these things and how you just communicate and how you go about your business, this
Starting point is 00:39:37 one in particular has not been a good experience. Oh, good, you're on the short. What if it was the other way around? What if we were on the other way around and even back then, it's just, well, you were like, I don't know about this guy. We're able, you know, it mics using the theory like, if you, if you, if you, if you date a cheater, like, if you cheat on, help them cheat on their current one, then they're gonna cheat on you or whatever.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Which, you got, you lost them, how you got them, kind of, things. Yeah. No, but it just like in the last few weeks, it's been exactly like you weeks when you got screwed over. We've celebrated Mario flipping people like multiple times. That's the big game hunting
Starting point is 00:40:12 and that's you're gonna win some of those that you're not gonna feel great about. Uh huh. And you're gonna lose some of those that you, it comes off like you're a little bit more just personally, I've been out for a while. I don't like talking about this particular experience because of the approach from the family. You should rescind his offer right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:31 That's a representative of the University of Miami. Recind his offer. Listen, listen, listen. Miami being desperate enough to scrounge and beg for Karmani and go to Lakeland is the least surprising thing in America because you're talking about a head coach, a ballad-hood head coach coming off a five and seven season who knows that what he does is recruit. He's not a great in-game coach.
Starting point is 00:40:54 What Mario Christball does is recruit. He's supposed to win the portal. He's supposed to win recruiting. And when he loses a five star guy like this, he's embarrassed and should be. I gotta be honest with you. You have to beg to get him. This guy does not sound like a five star guy like this, he's embarrassed and should be. I gotta be honest with you. I gotta be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:41:07 I gotta be honest with you. I gotta be honest with you. This guy does not sound like a crystal guy to me. All the things we hear about the crystal ball guys, this does not sound like a crystal guy to me. That's, I tend to agree. I thought, my whole thing with Kormani McLean is, I thought we were trying to target a specific type of talent, not just a super talented, but a certain mindset. And to me, I've been a little confused at the persistent pursuit of someone that has
Starting point is 00:41:31 displayed several times over that that's not really what we were talking about. I have been left a little confused by it. I am with the mean though, on this, if this had happened to anyone other than your beloved University of Miami, where you have become a booster and insider, somebody who advocates for the program and invests a great deal in every respect in this program, you wouldn't be out here telling a 17 year old kid how to take care of their business when he's doing snow angels in Colorado next to Deon because he ghosted an entire coaching staff in Lakeland like the balls.
Starting point is 00:42:06 I've been I've mentioned that about Jayden Rashada the entire time when he came over and when he flipped back to Florida and now when he has asked out of his commitment, there's just I've told you on the local hours one asked directly, I don't want to volunteer this stuff. It's a weird situation for me, but it's just there's certain people that are going about this new age of NIL and what people perceive to be paid a play in very different ways. I will say I do I did find out that Rashad gave back the NIL stuff that he got from Miami because he's a California kid So you can pay high school athletes in California. So I was a little encouraged by that,
Starting point is 00:42:49 but even his entire pursuit, it left me confused because as someone that's trying to buy into the company line of the problem was the kids in the locker room. And I sound like a bit of an asshole when I'm saying the $80 million coach is the person that we should trust here and the problems, the mentality of the kids. If we're going to target some of these kids at display the same kind of mentality, I do
Starting point is 00:43:08 think that I'm exposed. Hypocritically, Jayden Rashad and Kormani McClain to me, while supremely talented, didn't necessarily fit the mold I kept hearing about. And so me personally, I've been out, but I don't matter here. Sounds like instead of being disappointed in the behavior of the kids, maybe a need to be disappointed in the behavior of a coach who says, I want this kind of kid,
Starting point is 00:43:31 but goes after a different kind. Let me try to, I'm not necessarily super disappointed in the behavior of the kids. It's not always the kids. The kids could do a better job of it, but some kids are getting really bad advice. And some, from parents as well. And some kids could do a better job of it, but some kids are getting really bad advice. Yeah, and some from parents as well. And some coaches could do a better job of walking the walk that they talk. I would just ask the audience right here because I have thought about this as the
Starting point is 00:43:56 rules change and your dabbo swimming. And all of these guys are so used to having all of the power. All of it. The kids have no leverage whatsoever. I would really hate to be an adult in this position being paid this much money and my success depends on whether Cormani shows up when I go to visit him in Lakeland or again, ghosts me and my staff, like just I would feel like such a fool chasing children around the country, needing to mine them in order to make my success.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I would have been out, but this is the, he is, Cormoney McLean, the highest rated recruit potentially that the University of Miami would have signed since DJ Williams. He's the best cornerback recruiting terms of these rankings that they gave. And again, we're talking about 17 and 18 year olds there.
Starting point is 00:44:50 He's the greatest ever. If he were a four star, they would have bailed a long time ago. I think he's that supremely talented. There's a lot that goes with him. If you're at college, coach, you put up with a lot of bullshit in exchange for talent.
Starting point is 00:45:03 The coach who says, oh, we want kids who fit our culture. Those are the coaches who can't get the five star recruits consistently. What you do is you get that talent and then you allow that talent to try to fit your culture. And if it doesn't, you've still got that talent. You've still got that cornerback shutting everybody down,
Starting point is 00:45:24 even if he's a little bit of a problem off the field culture. You want talent first, culture second. Well, it was a lot easier in previous eras when you were sort of going by duffel bags of cash and expensive cars. Now, I mean, in some ways, I think this might actually be easier because it's, there's just dollar amounts. Have you read the details on the Jaden Rashada thing? It's wild. That basically the University of Florida is... I don't know what's true because I hear reports up to 13 million dollars. Well, I mean, yeah, I'm reading an article in the Orlando Sentinel
Starting point is 00:45:56 that basically the University of Florida's NIL could collect a agree to deal for $13 million and didn't have the money for it. And so they're letting him out of his letter of intent. Like, but that's, that in some ways is a bit more honest than I would imagine recruiting was in the past because just here's a dollar amount. If you get to the dollar amount, you get the player. Like that, that seems to be more obvious. It should be noted that Rashada's dad has come out and refuted like anything that it's
Starting point is 00:46:20 about in IEL. From what I've heard, the $13 million has inflated in that it was basically a two and two, two year option and the rest would get there. And there was a certain amount that was a little light for commitment. And then he was kind of waiting around after fully committing. And, you know, there was an attempt to renegotiate
Starting point is 00:46:42 and that went south. It's been a very interesting pursuit of Jaden. It is why, Mike, I mentioned to you that I thought Dion Sanders is worth even with very little resume, what they're paying him as a first year coach. And in fact, would argue that he's underpaid because as all of this shifts, and the Miami coaching staff shows up in Lakeland
Starting point is 00:47:04 trying to apply a culture. Deon Sanders culture is more like Cormonine McLean. Yes. Deon Sanders' life has been spent being Cormonine McLean. And he's now got, I believe, the top two corners from the top 10 in the history of these rankings. If Cormann goes, his secondary, Deon Sanders secondary to start winning at this game in a nowhere program is to get two of the top 10 corners in his image and in the history of them doing the rankings at that position. I wouldn't necessarily in his image. Kormann is not like just because Kormann's name is splash across headlines. It doesn't necessarily
Starting point is 00:47:45 mean he handles himself around the same way that deans handers did. I don't necessarily think that or monies going to Colorado by the way. I don't I if I had to make a crystal ball prediction. I'd say Bama Bama always even though that's what they call them. Yeah, funny, but I don't think that was funny. This is a. This is I'm very interested to see how everything plays out for Deon Sanders in Colorado. And if I had a place of wage-rotting,
Starting point is 00:48:18 I'd say probably not well. It works out okay in Jackson State when you have the talent to scrap and see, but Who you target and how you go about things and it matters more? You're only in the pack 12 you can get away with some of that stuff I don't think I don't think no because organs in the pack 12 and he's not gonna have a talent Washington he's not gonna have a talent in banish it if like if Colorado finishes second or third in the pack 12 North Like that's such I mean, I don't think they have divisions anymore
Starting point is 00:48:44 But like that's such a step forward from where they've been as a place. They're going to make a massive step forward as a program. This, we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We're like three and nine last year. I tell you what, at least Dion walks his walk
Starting point is 00:48:57 because he told us he's bringing his luggage with him. Yeah. I feel like if I was Miami, like, and I was trying to recruit someone who's looking to flip to Colorado, like a Florida person. Part of my recruiting would be to pay for them to spend an entire week in Colorado. You know what I mean? Because like, Deans, like, oh, let's go do snowy and just like get back inside now before the snow starts to suck again. Yeah, that's a lot of kids. Yeah, the mic is a lot of snow. If you were a principal, you would recruit by sending him to Colorado for one.
Starting point is 00:49:22 I would go to Colorado for two weeks on us and tell us how much you love it. Yeah, it was funny because he did mention that he was bringing all of his luggage with him and it was I would say you know what? Color for two weeks on us and tell us how much you love it. Yeah, it was funny because he did mention that he was bringing all his luggage with him and it was Louis. But if you've seen where those Jackson State transfers are going, it's not all Colorado. Yeah, he got Travis Hunter and it makes you forget about guys like Coleman who end up going to Louisville who has a very organized NIL program. It's just say I was all in.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Yeah, Coach primates very exciting. And then watching things play out and realizing that there were issues at Jackson State that we didn't really know about because we were only talking about Coach prim and how exciting it is. I think it's okay to view the the deon Sanders thing with a bit of skepticism. This is the first time we've seen something like this. I guess what I'm saying to you is in comparison what's happening in Miami, at least he is consistent in his approach as far as like, what I want,
Starting point is 00:50:11 and he's going after what he wants, not compromising what he wants for. He's also not getting in the room with a lot of recruits. The Cormani McLean, and since this is the example that you know, and Sanders totally shines in, you have this situation where there could be an absence of a father figure and Deon Sanders can be such a mentor for a young cornerback. This is a lane that he just occupies so well in terms of being a leader of men.
Starting point is 00:50:40 You could see why a kid like Cormonim McClain with his situation would be dazzled by Deon Sanders and would not want to wait for Miami's coaching staff and may not want to text him back because doing snow angels with the Deon Sanders seems like a pretty cool thing if I'm Cormonim McClain. He's tinder dating though and he's ghosting like he got a better offer. He, he, he, he, he scheduled not get a better off. He scheduled it. He did. He did he got a better offer he he he's scheduled not going to better off he scheduled to he did not get it better offer from Colorado. My he did not he the offer that was better is that there was something sexier in Colorado
Starting point is 00:51:15 than what was going to meet him at high school land in Lakeland. That's what the that's why do you that why do you double back then? Oh he did leave to go on the other date have some hot sex and then if he wants to double back then? He did leave to go on the other date, have some hot sex, and then if he wants to double back because there's something back here, because there's something back here that's safer and stable, but not quite as fun as what is in the snow and Colorado.
Starting point is 00:51:34 I think he goes to Bama, and I don't necessarily think he's a Bama guy either from how I've heard, but we'll see. We'll see. This is also stupid. Yes. This is really dumb. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Yes. I don't like talking about 17 year old kids. I will say I'll give you a bit of news though. Bit of news that you can see. No, no, the messy stuff I talked about last week, and that's still the same, but. The Saudi Arabia. You don't need to be a super plugged in U.M. insider to know that massive changes are coming
Starting point is 00:52:01 to Miami's offensive staff, Frank Ponds, the quarterback coach who is the offensive coordinator at Appalach and state last night, while everyone was excited about it and a football that was reported, he's headed back to Appalach and state. Why is that Brian Windhorse fingers, everybody? Why would a coach take a job that he had last year after meetings with the head coach. Is that because he thought that he might have an opening position and was told, no, that isn't going for you. So he headed back to Appalachian State would say, uh, expect big changes on the offensive
Starting point is 00:52:37 coordinator side.
