Starting point is 00:00:36 today. It's not delivery, it's Dejorno. God bless football Billy Gill. God bless football Mike Yee. God bless football Stu gots. We have a big episode coming up. We have a big weekend coming up. I get sad towards the end of the year. Do you guys get sad towards the end of the year? Because I know this weekend. This is the best weekend, right? Well, no, I think Super Wild Card weekend is perhaps, although there was only really one good game of,
Starting point is 00:01:14 I guess, the sixth. Maybe this is the best weekend, right? But I start really getting sad towards the end of this weekend, you know? Yeah. Yeah. You do too, Bill? After this, all we got is one Sunday, two games. I know. I, championship. We get sucks. Right. And the Super Bowl's overrated. I mean, whoa, it's one game. I mean, it's, I don't know what to do with one game anymore.
Starting point is 00:01:35 I mean, I'm not used to it. Anyway, we have a great episode coming up. We have a Michaelic. We have KFunk in the crew picking the NFL games Austin Eccler Dan or Lovsky and my favorite Bubble Watson is back again to talk football. I can't wait Stugats I just had what I think is a great idea, okay, but I don't know if anyone else will agree with this idea so What if the NFL and Listen, I want full credit if this ever happens, which I doubt that it will. Alright.
Starting point is 00:02:08 What if the NFL on a Super Bowl Sunday decides you know what we're gonna do for the people like you that can't watch just one game. This Sunday while the Super Bowl is going on at kickoff, we're going to play 10 other previous Super Bowls and Scott Hansen is going to be breaking in red zone styles for the Super Bowls from like 1990 to 1999 plus present day Super Bowl. I'm in. Wow. I think it's a great idea. Now, you can't do all like, you know, 50 Super Bowls or whatever, 40, whatever number we're buying. My 10s a nice camera. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:53 I feel like you do 10 so that you could do like, you experiment with it, you know what I mean? Like maybe you start with the 2010s, maybe you do like, I don't know, 2014 to 2023, so you have like 10 to choose from there. And then right when kick off, you see them all up at the same time and then you just start going back I don't know, 2014 to 2023, so you have like 10 to choose from there. And then right when kick off, you seek them all up at the same time and then you just start going back and forth and make pork Scott Hansen work on that Sunday.
Starting point is 00:03:12 But you go as long as there's a witching hour. Right, there has to be a witching hour. There is. Yeah, of course. I'm in. Super bowl witching hours, what are you saying? Yeah, super witching hours. Super witching hour.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I'm in Billy, it might be your best idea ever. Okay. I think so too. I mean, I obviously am biased here, but I think this is a really good idea. You can't go back too far because no one wants to see Bob greasy 73 throne for 82 yards in a super bowl. No one. No one wants to see that, right? All right. Good. I'm in on this, Billy. It's a great idea. Even though maybe you could also pick and choose the years that you're going to do, it'll make less sense but you pick and choose.
Starting point is 00:03:53 And you do throw in one of those greasy years because there's always going to be the week 18 Baker game that's not nothing or a random panthers game that you win three nothing at the end. So you throw in a dud Super Bowl here and they're like, well, that one. Wow, Super Bowl 21 or whatever round. I'm working out the way we thought that one was going to go. Mikey, you're in on this. You like it. You would like you would absolutely. So you would watch it on the red, the Super Bowl red zone channel, huh? Sure. Yeah. Why not? Yeah. I do, I do, I do
Starting point is 00:04:23 wonder. It would be a second screen experience, right? Like you'd have the Super Bowl on the main screen then you have that on another screen No, I like I let it sane person would would do that miss the Super Bowl to watch 10 old Super Bowl at the same time I like handsome moving away from the actual Super Bowl that's being played to show me something that I know already happened I love that I do too. I do too show me something that I know already happened. I love that. I do too. I do too.
Starting point is 00:04:46 Not missing anything in this one. And it's like, well, I'm missing the Super Bowl. This is a big game. Right. Like this national anthem sucks. Let's go to 91 where Whitney Houston sang the national anthem. Let's check in with Whitney Houston.
Starting point is 00:04:59 I'm in, Billy. It's a good idea. I like this. Thank you. So do I. Mikey, I think we should have Scott Hansen on just to pitch him this. I thank you. So do I. Mikey, I think you think you're the real starting down. And I think we should have Scott Hansen on just to pitch him this idea.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Okay, let's do it next week. Can we do that? Yeah, but we do have to tell him Scott. Listen, it's just one idea. Then you're out of here. You know what I mean? Well, we'll bring him in as a partner. We'll allow him the host.
Starting point is 00:05:19 You know, that's it. He gets the host. If not, we'll go to Sicilianum. I mean, that's it. No, no, I know, but I'm saying, we don't need to break down the EFC championship. I mean, that's the championship No, no, I know, but I'm saying we don't need to break down the heancy Championship championship championship game and all that stuff. All right. Where are we going first here Billy? Who might throw it at you? Who's who's up first here for us? Well, so still gots we have a big week. We have Mike Goliq. We have Dan or Lofsky. We have Austin Eckler, Bubba Watson is back. We have our friends making picks yet again. We have studio gots, but but I think this week we're gonna start with our friend Michael an old friend
Starting point is 00:05:49 And I don't mean that he's old Some comfort food, you know, I mean some comfort food. Uh his voice is comforting. Is it not Mike is comfort? Yeah, yeah All right, let's go to an old friend Michaelic Whether you're hosting game day or movie night DeGiorno knows that planning a watch party on a budget isn't easy You need the perfect setting the perfect squad and the perfect eats Luckily, you're a game time mastermind and you know that grabbing DeGiorno classic crust pizza can bring home a W

He is the host of Gojo and Goliath every day 8 to 10 a.m. Eastern of the Draft King's network and wherever you get your podcasts. Also G at Smettie and talk about a lottery winner. I mean, Mikey A. He got Dallas last week and this week he's headed to San Francisco for Green Bay San
Starting point is 00:07:55 Francisco. What a game that's going to be on Westwood one, Michael, it's joining us here on God bless football. Man, you are lucky, let me tell you, last week, while it was cold in Dallas to be in the dome and wasn't in Kansas City or Buffalo. And now this week, not to be in Buffalo or Baltimore where it's going to be, you know, pretty cold. I, I can't complain one bit. And it should be a heck of a game. What green Bay did to Dallas in Dallas? And now going on to face the 49ers. And number one, seed with what Jordan love is doing at the quarterback position right now and how that defense is playing,
Starting point is 00:08:29 really, really looking forward to it. Kyle Shanahan said he started preparing for the Green Bay Packers midway through the second quarter of that Dallas game. When did you think it was over, Mike? I started preparing after the first quarter for my next game. It's hard not to be impressed with Jordan Love, man. So, so what the biggest difference of Jordan Love
Starting point is 00:08:49 from earlier in the season to now is his patience. He's learning to, he's a little calmer in the pocket, his eyes stay down, feel more when he has to move and he's looking for those receivers because we keep talking about Houston being a year or two away and they arrived early. Well, the same thing with Green Bay. It's a first year starting quarterback. You have four rookie receivers and two receivers and two tight ends. Then another two more receivers and dobs and Watson who are second year guys. You're the fourth youngest playoff team ever. The last youngest team before this was the 74 bills, I think. So it's a little shocking that they got there and then won the game. But his patience, that's been the biggest
Starting point is 00:09:32 thing is ability to read down field and the weapons. And quite honestly, the most impressive thing to me was their defense, their ability to tackle the receivers right after they caught the ball. And now they're playing the 49ers, which over the last couple of years has been the best in the league in yards after catch. So they're so used to taking the short pass and making a long game in Green Bay. Last week did a great job of stopping that. So that's going to be a great matchup. Mike with Dallas, this has been decades. I mean, it's different quarterbacks, it's different coaches. And next year they're going to have a good team. They're probably gonna win 10 games again. They're probably gonna get in the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:10:08 But then all this is gonna start again. We're all gonna say, yeah, but how do you get over that hump to, yeah, we're in the playoffs. How do we go? I, you know, I don't wanna make it as simple as win. And because that's where this team is, the right, you know they going to get to the playoffs whether a wild card or a winning the division, they're going to win 10, 11, 12 games. And then it's
Starting point is 00:10:31 about everybody puckers up and holds their breath when the playoffs start. You played in Philadelphia, you know the city, you know those fans, you know that organization as well as anyone. What do you imagine is going on there right now? I mean, just, so a team that makes the Super Bowl and loses, as a player, I still say, hey, you made the Super Bowl, disappointing to lose, but you made it. And then to fall from where you did, even when they were 10 and one, we were all saying, wow, they don't look like they've looked, right? They don't have that look about them. And then they just get walloped at the end. So there's a couple of things. And one of them would be losing coordinators, right? You lost Gannon, you lost Steikitt
Starting point is 00:11:15 and two head coaching jobs. You changed decordinators play call and gave it to Matt Petrish, who took a fashon to side. By the way, losing those two guys is a big deal and people don't realize that. No, that's what I mean. So, so a lot more than falls a lot on the head coach. And I think the other thing with Nick Seriana, Nick Seriana, is he could be a, a, a crap talker, right? You remember when they beat the chiefs, he kind of was doing a little screaming at them,
Starting point is 00:11:42 doing it, right by a camera stand. And what do you, gentlemen, hurts actually like pulled his arm down and basically saying, coach, come on, we don't, we don't need to be doing that. So when, if you're going to do that, great, when you win, but when you lose, prepare to get like he did, you know, a, a box of popcorn thrown on him by a Philadelphia fan, which, you know, that he should be happy. It was only a box of popcorn, known Philly fans at times. Mike, you're the perfect person to ask about this. Tell us just like for the average person for us, for me and Mike, yeah, who just watched football, we're watching
Starting point is 00:12:13 the quarterback, we're watching the wide receiver. We're checking our fantasy teams. We're not watching the offensive line. We're not watching the defensive line. And if Jason Kelsey has played his last game, just break down from me, Mikey A, the audience, just how good he was at his job. So Jason Kelsey, I mean, and what he has done, you look and quite honestly, he didn't really earn his Hall of Fame stat. He didn't come into the league and blow it up right away. It took him a little while. It took him five, six years. Yeah. You know, before he started getting into his groove and getting six first team all pros and things
Starting point is 00:12:52 like that. So his tenacity, his technician, his technical abilities, his leadership, I mean, that dude is, he is looked up to so so much and like a lot of the great centers Under sized by the end of the year is probably in the 270s if that at all So and he's only one of I think four or five other centers all time that have made six first team all pros so to me it's so much obviously when you're that size, you have to live on tenacity guts and technique and A plus in all of those for him. He stayed relatively healthy,
Starting point is 00:13:33 which is incredible for that size. That dude, when he's 40 or 50 years old, he is gonna feel it. There's no doubt about that. No doubt, it's gonna be interesting to see if he's tempted to come back if Philadelphia makes a coaching change. Like, it's gonna be. to see if he's tempted to come back if Philadelphia makes a coaching change. It's gonna be.
Starting point is 00:13:46 I don't think he will. And again, even he said, I can't make this because it a reports he told us he made his retiring. He went on his podcast with his brother and said, I didn't say anything to anybody about that. There's no way I can decide that right after game. And that's because I'm gonna use my platform to announce my goddamn retirement. Which he should. Which everybody should now that you can do it.
Starting point is 00:14:10 But overall, I've always said that you can't sit there and make an emotional or a big decision like that with the emotion going through your body right after the siege. And you gotta wait for a little bit. Take a breath, make sure it's the right thing. Mike, does he stroll into the hall of fame? Like, is he the first ballot guy?
Starting point is 00:14:26 Yeah. First ballot guy. Okay. And it's one of those situations, I think, like there's sometimes as a line, like at wide receiver position or other positions where you're kind of waiting till others go in. It's not always the case with offensive linemen. They're a little more hard to judge at times for the writers out there, but I think the
Starting point is 00:14:45 way he ended on a high and how the back half of his career is really what made his Hall of Fame career, I think that's going to put him in in year one. All right, some quick ones for you. We'll get you out of here. Mikey, if you want Andy Reed's phone number, would you text them about the mustache? If you were friends with Andy Reed, would you send them a joking text about the frozen mustache? I would. Because Gola Kaz's number and he's not using it for the right things. Mike, did you send them a text about his mustache? I did not. I did not. Because I remember on the broadcast, I'm saying, wow, I wonder what that is. It's
Starting point is 00:15:21 frozen. It's not. I mean, it's not. I mean, what else he's not eating a cheeseburger or hot dog on the sideline. It's and it's not pouring water there. It's running out of his nose and freezing on his mustache. That's what it is. Thank you. I mean, if I see him, if I, you know, I was waiting to see, do I do one of his games or, you know, they in the Super Bowl, if I'm covering that? I can tell you this, the Chiefs have promised that we're annual interview with Andy Reed at some point in the next few weeks.
Starting point is 00:15:50 All right, there we go. Okay, so you will see him, okay? And you're not gonna be on it, right? Because you can be on the floor. No, it is worse. Jeez. Not good be worse. Mike, which AFC team, because I have learned here, we've said forever, quarterbacks, the most important position in that sport.
Starting point is 00:16:15 What I'm starting to learn is getting pressure on the quarterback is the second most important position in that sport of the AFC teams that are left, which one of them has the best D-Line? in that sport of the AFC teams that are left, which one of them has the best D line? Well, I mean, and I have to say, it's not all about the D line, right? I mean, it's about the pressure that you put on. So I would have to look at the Ravens for that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:39 You're talking about AFC now, the chiefs have done a good job with that as well. The Texans would probably be fourth there, I think maybe, but you're asking me for number one, I would put Baltimore at number one. And again, it's not just the D line. It's the pressure you create overall, whether you're standing up six guys at the line of scrimmage only four, come or maybe five, come, you know, it could be a little different the way you're gonna use
Starting point is 00:17:08 your pressure, but I like the way they do it. They're very, very aggressive with our question. So I would definitely say them, but you know, like I say that about the Texans, they did have 46 sex themselves. So I, while I would maybe blur the other three, Baltimore would be number one. NFC San Francisco, right?
Starting point is 00:17:31 Yeah, I would say it's tough to not say them because really a lot of it is about the depth that they have on that defensive line. The one thing you always look for, you have 4D linemen if you have a four man line, but you'd like a rotation of at least 6, maybe 7. And that's something that they're able to do.
Starting point is 00:17:48 But compared to the Lions and Tampa Bay and Green Bay, yeah, I would say it would be the 49ers. And that's the biggest thing Jordan Love I think is going to have to deal with. That's why I think Aaron Jones is running the ball. That's really going to help mitigate that. Mike, do you feel like Alabama got it right with Kaylon the Boer? I mean, you know, you're looking for a successful guy, right?
Starting point is 00:18:10 And while he was Sioux Falls to Fresno State, you know, in some of the places, yeah, he's done every job, yeah, he's done it, yeah. But and his wins, and you look at his wins, he's got a great record against ranked teams. And at the end of the day, that's what you're gonna be doing. You're gonna be playing a number of those and he has a good record against them. Always tough to follow a great coach. In this case, a legend and most and I would say the goat
Starting point is 00:18:33 of college coaching, always difficult to do. But I think they hit it right with a guy who is going to has now the reputation that he has. He's going to get players that world portal in to Alabama, because you know you saw guys portaling out of Alabama as well, once Sabah was gone, but he's going to get guys to come into that program. I did Washington get it right with Jed Fish. That's something, huh? I mean, I mean, like Arizona was good. Hey, what he did in Arizona, I mean, just incredible.
Starting point is 00:19:04 And that's, we all know, that's what happens with the coaching situation is just a domino. One team loses someone they got to get somebody else unless they hire from within. So I think that's a really good hire as well. All right. The vision around Mike is some going to throw at each game. Just give us 30 seconds or less on on each one of your thoughts on them. And then we'll get you out of here. We'll start Saturday for 30 Texans at Ravens, CJ versus Lamar. What a great way to kick off the weekend. Has a chance to be a beauty also has a chance to be a blowout. So what are your thoughts here? Well, it does because you look at what CJ Stroud handle last week in the with the with the browns and one of
Starting point is 00:19:41 the best defenses in the NFL right now. He's got Baltimore and one of the best defenses in the NFL right now he's got Baltimore and one of the best defenses in the NFL. But what a difference is is the Texans defense was dealing with a statue in the pocket, right? Angel Flacco. He wouldn't go in anywhere. They knew exactly where he's going to be. Lamar is different. Lamar is the X factor in just about every game that you have. And he's got weapons to throw to now on the outside. I just think there are a little too much for the Texans, which has been an incredible story. They arrived earlier than a lot of people thought with how they're building their team. I just think the Ravens have too many weapons and are way too more complete for the Texans in this one. Saturday, 815, a classic, your game, you're on the call, Westwood one, Packers at Niners.
Starting point is 00:20:26 So, obviously I can't pick this game, but the best matchup to me, guys, is you look at what Green Bay and Green Bay's defense all year had not been playing great. The Joe Barrier has been questioned whether he'll even be back as a decordinator, but coming to the end of the season they started playing a lot better and in this game against Dallas their ability to Let the man catch the ball in front of them, but make the tackle one-on-one in open space was Incredible it was so good Now San Francisco for the last few years
Starting point is 00:21:01 Top ten leagues and yards after the catch. I've talked about this I mean as early as still you know, whereas we leagues in yards after the catch. So I've talked about this. I mean, it's early still, you know, whereas we're getting closer to the game, this still to me is gonna be the matchup. They excel at yards after the catch. Green Bay last game excelled at stopping that. Who wins that battle? Does a five, does a three yard reception,
Starting point is 00:21:18 turn into a 30 yard reception, or does a three yard reception, turn into a five yard reception? That's gonna be a monster monster difference. I know everybody's going to talk about love, you know, against party, which is going to be important, but love's got a lot of great young talent to throw to out there. But how green Bay stops this offense is going to be the key to me. All right. You won't pick the game. I will Packers win the game outright about that. Wow. Okay. I said it last week against Dallas, Mike.
Starting point is 00:21:45 I did. I like his backer team. They're good, man. It's different. That's Dallas. That's this, this is San Francisco. That's San Francisco was soaked in the playoffs as well. And they're Kyle Shanahan.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Get out of here. No, that would not, that would rock pretty. Well, we'll get to him in a second. Sunday, three o'clock, Mike. Two of the best stories in the NFL this year. Baker, who we talked about last week, we had him on a thaw. I mean, if you told us that, that Baker would be in the playoffs two games away from making it to the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:22:13 I would have left you off our inflatable couch that we had out there. But Baker and the box and America's team golfing the Lions. What do you think here? I mean, I still think the box again, it's been a great story. What's going on? Good. Kudos to to Baker may feel for what he's doing and and Tampa Bay had to go on the cheap because they sold their soul for Brady and to keep the team together to win that Super Bowl to the tune of over $80 million in debt debt cap money So they had to get a cheaper quarterback and a paid off
Starting point is 00:22:41 Again, I think Detroit is too good all around offensive weapons, the two headed monster of Gibbs and Montgomery in the backfield. Sam Laporta coming back from the knee injury. So good. And now I'll have another week to get it better. St. Brown and what he's done. And really when I talk about the running backs, Gibbs is quite I think 52 passes in the regular season out of the backfield. So I think there's a little too much for that team defensively. Aiden Hutchinson is the guy to give pressure on the other side of the ball. But I just think there's too many weapons for Gough to choose from, for Detroit. I actually think they move on to the end. I picked this in the beginning of the year. I said they would make
Starting point is 00:23:19 the NSC championship game and I think they're going to do it. Wow. Mike, there are a lot of ways to get there. And the NFC, one of these four quarterbacks. So in the AFC, you have this. You have Alan Mahomes, CJ Lamar. They're four of the greats. Okay. Right. In the NFC, one of these four guys is making it to a Super Bowl. Golf, Baker, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy.
Starting point is 00:23:40 So funny. Isn't that amazing? It's great. Listen, Purdy, a lot of people think they would have made it last year, and not gotten hurt in the playoff game. But law, I mean, has Green Bay not figured out how to transition from one quarter back to the next? I mean, they've done it incredibly well, but, but golf, we've seen him play two years
Starting point is 00:24:00 ago really, really well this year, a little spotty at times. And Baker, I mean, again, number one pick in the draft Cleveland to Carolina, to the Rams, to Tampa Bay. And now putting himself in a position to at least get a decent contract and maybe stay on his career. But they absolutely did. Yeah, pretty wild though, when you think about the possibility of the quarterback in the NFC, making it a Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Simple, yes or no. Well, the jet signed the quarterback in the NFC making it to the Super Bowl. Simple yes or no. Well, the Jetson Jordan love in 2038. In 2038 as an old quarterback. Yes. Well, at this point, it didn't work for the Jets. So that means they'll do it again. If it didn't work with bar, they did it again. It's not going to work here. And they're going to do it again. Yeah. Fulmy won shame on you. Fulmy twice. Shame on me. Fulmy three times. All I'm just going gonna do it again. Yeah, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me three times while I'm just gonna do it.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I did the second time. All right, Sunday 630, perfect way to wrap up the weekend. Like what a game, what a scene. It's gonna be a Buffalo home, John Shallad. What a game cannot, with those two uniforms on the same field, Sunday night 630, it's perfect. What do you think? How odd for Patrick Mahomes outside of a Super Bowl to have to get on a plane for a playoff game.
Starting point is 00:25:08 He hasn't had to do it before. Now he does. Weather shouldn't be a factor in either cold place. It's supposed to be in the 20s and Buffalo, it's supposed to be in the 20s and Baltimore. I think the bills have been living off the run. Whether it's Cook or whether it's Alan. We know Alan had that 52 yard run, but we know what you can do running the ball. So they've been doing a good job running the ball. I think a lot of this will fall on Kansas City's defense, which plays really, really well at
Starting point is 00:25:33 times to try and keep Josh Allen, you know, contained somehow some way. And Kansas City, we keep saying, can they overcome the drops? Can they overcome the fact they don't after, you know, is it Rashee rice? Is that he's the guy? Who else is there to the tune of their in the division around. They just keep winning, right? They just keep winning when they have to. Pacheco is one of the hardest runners I've seen run the long time. So you still have Travis Kelsey, even though he's got some drops this year as well. But the defense to me has been playing extremely well.
Starting point is 00:26:03 And that's been the big difference for me. My homes is going to be homes. But how many people does he have to be homes too at times? That's the question. But the defense to me, this is, cheese defense against bills offense of who's going to get by. There's part of me that just one wants to say it's very difficult to bet against my homes. But I have a feeling it's the bills year.
Starting point is 00:26:22 They got them at home and they're playing really good ball right now. And I think there's something to that. So I'm going to go with Buffalo in this one. All right. Check out Gojo and Goliath every day, eight to 10 a.m. Eastern of the draft games that work. Also wherever you get your podcasts, Goliath and Smeddy as well. And Green Bay San Francisco Westwood won what a weekend for Mike Goliath. God bless football Mike. God bless football one and all. It is time for this week's edition of Stuyagats.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Presented by DraftKings Fantasy Sports. Check out what DraftKings has to offer this season with code LAF because life's more fun when you're in on the action. DraftKings, the crowd is yours. I did it in the playoffs. Yes, I did. Four and two a week ago, 75, 67 and one on the action draft Kings. The crown is yours. I did it in the playoffs. Yes, I did. Be as soon as it's just me, you baseball and Joey Chestnut. Let's get to the games.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Baltimore hosting the Texans. Baltimore, the one seed in the AFC. They are minus 9.5 at home and get C.J. Straub, buy it up to 10. The Ravens win the game. The Texans cover. I'm taking the Texans here. Baltimore wins by four points at home. Packers at 49ers. I told you last week. Packers were winning that game outright and they did. Now they're taking on San Francisco. The one seed in the NFC. This is football. This is what it's all about. I can't wait to watch this game. Niners, favorite by nine and a half points at home. Buy it up to 10.
Starting point is 00:27:51 I don't know why I'm telling you to do that because the Packers are winning the game outright. Pack by three points over San Francisco on the road. We go to Sunday, box, what a great story. Baker Mayfield, Detroit, what a great story Baker may feel Detroit, what a great story. The entire city, all of it, Dan Campbell, everything. God, the box are plus six and a half at Detroit, buy it up to seven. The Lions win the game, the box cover, the Lions by three points at home.
Starting point is 00:28:17 The big game for the whole ball of wax. It's really not. It's for the right to face. I think Lamar Jackson and the AFC championship game, but it's a beauty. It's the the right to face. I think Lamar Jackson and the AFC championship game, but it's a beauty. It's the perfect way to finish off this weekend. It's the bills. It's the chiefs.
Starting point is 00:28:30 It's Josh Allen. And it is Patrick Mahomes. First road game for Mahomes. Excited to watch this. I'm taking the bills up. Something's going on with Josh Allen. I am taking the bills here. Over the chiefs.
Starting point is 00:28:42 The bills win. They cover the spread. The bills by 10. Over the chiefs. the bills win. They cover the spread, the bills by 10 over the chiefs. Those are the picks, everyone. Good luck, everyone. Can we call 100 damper each and eligibility restrictions apply for we're prohibited. See draft keys dot com for details. All right, Dan or Lofsky nice enough to join us during a very busy time for him.
Starting point is 00:28:57 He is, uh, he's in transit right now. He is driving. How many interviews have you done in that car today? Uh, this is three actually. Um, So this is usually like on Mondays is the time where especially in the heart of the regular season, I don't do anything. I just watch a ton of tape to be caught up up and then on Thursdays is usually the time where I'm like, hey, if there's a waiter or something, try to knock it out during that time thing. So this is three. Okay, so this is your third one.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Is the driver like enough already? Like what's happening there? Yeah, they get to a point, you know, it's not always the same person, but they get to a point so often they'll have like an extended period of time. I'm not talking that I'll randomly hop on and start after talking about me,
Starting point is 00:29:37 they snap their head back at me, like, what are you doing? So sometimes they get used to me though. How excited are you about what's going on with Detroit? I'm fired up man, like I was there and we were bad. We were mean and I don't want to pretend and sit there and say like, hey they were a hundred percent awesome all the time. I mean, deservedly so, we stunk and so they let us hear it.
Starting point is 00:29:57 But you could tell, passion and you could tell, it was one of those towns, like if you could just win there, it would be so cool because, just to be honest, one of those places, like they don could just win there, it would be so cool. Because, just to figure out, it's one of those places, like they don't have anything else, really. Like in the fall and the winter, like they don't have the beach to escape to with the warm weather, it's like it's Lions football.
Starting point is 00:30:13 And so, to see a next lion, a guy that, I guess got me in front of when he got there in the way the hand of the press conferences, to see them win and kind of those fans, you know, I was in Tampa on Monday night for the Monday night football game, the playoff game, Eagles in Tampa. And the arriving plane at the gate that I was leaving was coming from Detroit. And for the first time ever, everybody had Detroit stuff on coming off. And so that adds cool to say Dan Campbell is interesting.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Did you think you're right? People made fun of him on the way in. They're not making fun of him anymore. I'm shocked that he's this good at being a head coach, are you? So I played with Dan. I guess any time that you get one of those coaches that is, you know, and kind of old school and in a way like meathead-ish, and you get them, you're like, I don't know if that's gonna go well, because you gotta have the right team for it. And you gotta have the people that are gonna adhere to it and kind of adopt that mindset.
Starting point is 00:31:13 So Dan was really hardworking, he's very blue-collar. It was, hey, we're gonna do it in this specific way. That's kind of how he was as a player. And so he has that like background of doing it that way success. We never know if it's gonna work out as a coach, cause again, you gotta have everybody brought into that.
Starting point is 00:31:31 And I don't wanna say I'm surprised, but I am, it's nice to see that all those guys are following kind of that leadership style. Are you surprised Goff has played this well for the Lions? Absolutely not. No, really. I was with Jared, I was with Jared his second year. at that leadership style. Are you surprised Goff has played this well for the Lions? Absolutely not. No, really. I was with Jared. I was with Jared his second year. So the first year of Sean McVeigh and a couple of things that stood off from that year in the late chin of Jared was Jared was so men raw. Meaning he just, he had played so much like
Starting point is 00:32:00 running gun, open, you know, spread out, open shoot, shoot shoot it around football. That like he didn't really understand coverages. He didn't really understand fronts. And that was a big focus of my time with him was, you know, diving into that stuff. And it's really starting to learn and teach it and understand him. And I always said two things. One, he was a very natural thrower of the football, very natural, very smooth. And just, you pick up the ball, you throw it, you're different than everybody else. And just too, you had this great ability to not remember bad stuff. Like he had this, I always, just always say like, no memory
Starting point is 00:32:34 and whether good player bad play. And so because of the, in the way he set up in Detroit and the way that they could protect them, like if you keep that dude clean, he could spin it, man. And I'm not surprised given how good Detroit is up front that when he's protected, he could throw it. Do you know that 98 year old fan that they were showing on television? It's funny, you know, I picked the rims to win that game by one point, 31 30. Right. Honestly, not because of my relationship with Matthew.
Starting point is 00:33:03 I thought the rims were a better team. I thought they would win. Right. Detroit Lions fans killed me for this and that. And I'm sitting there going, no, when I was there, you guys like hated me. You guys, I brought, oh, in 16, I ran out of that. It was like, you guys all told me I was the worst flying ever. Now I picked the ramps and I'm bailing on you. Like I'm turning my back on you. So it's, it's, could you see that thing? There's some success. I actually meant to tell you because I heard you apologize.
Starting point is 00:33:30 You're like, yeah, I didn't pick the lines. I apologize to the city of Detroit. Stop apologizing or lousy. Stop apologizing. Just it's your job to pick a, you think it's gonna win the game. Yeah, I mean, but you know, it's, I felt, I felt like there was an emotional part of me was like, right, maybe I should have picked them because I played there, but then know, I felt like there was an emotional part in me who's like, right, maybe I should have picked them because I played there, but then I also played through
Starting point is 00:33:48 the Rams. I played for like, you know, not Josh McCown, that was fun. Yeah, like I said, dude, it's good for them. How the hell was Stafford allowed to still play in that game? He looked like he was congust. Yeah, I saw a bunch of people talking about that on social. I've been around him enough to know. Okay. I don't know what the injury was. I don't know, I've been around him enough to know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:05 I don't know what the injury was. I don't know, but I do know that he's tough as nails. And so he's also not dumb. Am I, do I think he faked a concussion? I have no idea or a non-concussion. I just know this. He wasn't coming out of that game. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:22 No matter what the injury was, his heart would have had to stop beating for him to leave that game. Right. No matter what the injury was, his heart would have had to stop beating for him to leave that game. Right. Crazy. Is Baker Mayfield the best individual story this year in the NFL? It's a great story, Dan. Yeah, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I mean, obviously CJ Stroud up there is pretty spectacular in a way that he's accomplished or what he's accomplished. I think Baker's great because and Jared's the same way. Baker went to the worst organization in North America and brought them to the playoffs and then got cast away because you weren't good enough. Right. And you know, last year he was within two places and and whatnot and that place has a lot of unknown that casted him away at quarterback right now. We don't know what Doshan is going to be. And here Baker is, you know, having a career year in the final eight. And so I've always been a Baker guy. I've always thought he was
Starting point is 00:35:14 a better player than people. People gave him credit for. And so yeah, I think he's the comeback player of the year. I voted for him as the comeback player of the year. So I think it's hard to dispute that he's the best story. Yeah, it's good point. Chris Sims told us that CJ Stratt, he told us this like eight weeks ago, was the best rookie quarterback he's ever seen? Do you agree? I do agree.
Starting point is 00:35:36 And I think it's a little bit different. So the best I've ever seen, just play wise, I thought Mac Jones was really good as a rookie when it came to like, where do I throw the football to? Who do I throw the football to? When do I throw it? How do I throw it? But this is different. The way he's doing it is in a completely different stratosphere. The best rookie I've seen was up until a couple years ago was Dac Press God. Dac, I played against him. His rookie year, he was awesome. He had the best offensive line in the last 20 years in the NFL, 30 years in the NFL, and Des Bryant. And then it was Joe Burrow. But Joe Burrow had T Higgins and Boyd, two really good wide
Starting point is 00:36:14 receivers. C.J.'s doing this with, I guess, Nico Collins is emerging as a really bona fide, like number one type of guy, but he's kind of doing it with some people that maybe we didn't necessarily view in that light. And to do it as a rookie, I think the thing that stands out for me is he gets through like past plays so quickly, mentally. Usually when you do that as a player, it's because you have to because you're not physically that good. He is physically unreal with his ball placement and yet still that intangible processing
Starting point is 00:36:49 is rare. Who's the quarterback? For me, there's an obvious answer to this, but who's the quarterback in your opinion that has the most amount of pressure on him to win a Super Bowl right now? I think it's from Ar Jackson, you know, because of, you know, I said this on first take and this is not me as a white dude pandering or capping whatever. People that sound like Lamar, play like Lamar, look like Lamar, we're never supposed to win this red bar quarterback. They just weren't. That's how the NFL has always gone. And I love Lamar, I'm a huge fan of him. And I think
Starting point is 00:37:22 Lamar is very aware like, okay, I'm in a one-second MVP And I'm awesome and all that stuff that doesn't matter like you because there's still people that are sitting there going He's got to like you can't win the Super Bowl playing that style you can play you can win regular season games And he's got to go win the Super Bowl and the Mar knows that I think their organization knows that So so because of that and then obviously the contract went out and the people that are around them, but it's, it's more for me. Number two would be Josh. More surprised that the 49ers lose or if the Ravens lose this weekend. Um, I'd be more surprised to bought them more loses. Um, strictly because I think Baltimore is built to play playoff football. They could run the football. They could run the football with different people.
Starting point is 00:38:05 They could be efficient in their past game. They could be explosive in their past game. Their defense has got the best spine in football. Their interior defense of tackles are great. The two offball linebackers are spectacular. They tackle and space is good as anybody. And they're planning against rookie rookie, you know, as great as that story has been, like we just don't have a ton of evidence that that goes deep into the playoffs. So I guess I'll say Baltimore, although I think it, you know, I'd be surprised, obviously, if either one went down. Are you surprised Dallas is bringing back Mike McCarthy? I am surprised, Dallas is bringing them back. I thought by the play on the field and obviously the way Sunday went you justified moving on from him. I understand 36 wins in three years is something, but when you have a, you know, quarterback, that's a top 10 player, you know, MVP type player this year and offensive player, the air candidate at wide receiver, three all pros on the offensive line, a defensive player, the air candidate and micro Parsons,
Starting point is 00:39:03 Parsons, Thrawn Blan broke the NFL record for pick sixes. You know, the Marcus Lawrence is great. And the NFL leads, you lead the NFL and takeaways. You're going to win a lot of games. And then you're in a division with the Washington commanders and the New York Giants, like 36 wins. Okay, great, but you're 13 and 15 versus teams that end the season in winning records. You give them 30 points a game versus teams
Starting point is 00:39:23 with winning records. So the way that Sunday went, they were unequivocally and unquestionably outcoached. That's why that game went that way. If they lost by three, no conversation, you're bringing back. They were destroyed and mainly because of coaching. So if I told you, and we don't know this, but if I told you Jerry spoke to Bill Belichack and they still didn't get a deal done, you would say that's on who? It's on Bill, it's on Jerry.
Starting point is 00:39:50 I would say that it's on Jerry. You know, unless Bill Belichack was adamant that he wanted personnel control, it sounds like he's not at that place, at least in his voice, those words that last year. So I would say it was on Jerry to not get that done because you're not looking for regular season wins unless you're lying to us and telling us the Super Bowl is the most important thing. You're looking to go win a championship and he's the one guy that we unequivocally know can. What do you think Dan the Dolphin should do with Tuah? This is a tough one, man. It's
Starting point is 00:40:21 a tough one. I think you pay them. So a couple of things. I saw Daniel Jeremiah. I thought we'll make a pretty good point about, you know, Payton and his early years in the playoffs and that they were had to go on the road and that that that offense was built for this, you know, ideal elements, precision, pass game situation.
Starting point is 00:40:42 That is Miami. That's why adamantly felt that they needed the one seed. There's not a lot of guys that are going to step it that offense and play at the level and in the style that he does. You have to have outrageous anticipation and touch. He does. And say what you want, like they couldn't win for like 10 or 15 years before he's gotten there. Now it's not just because of him, but he's a big reason why they want a bunch of games over the past couple seasons. So I think you pay him. I know that's always the, you pay him 60, you pay him. I don't know, but you're paying him. You're paying him. Orlovsky, we appreciate it, man. We know
Starting point is 00:41:18 it's a busy time. By the way, I meant to ask you because it appears when you're calling games in the booth, that's when you're at your happiest. Like, I think that's what you enjoy more than anything. Is that fair? No, no when you're calling games in the booth, that's when you're at your happiest. I think that's what you would join more than anything. Is that fair? No, Dow. I love calling games. I love calling NFL games. I love talking situations and what should be happening or what might be happening.
Starting point is 00:41:35 I hate going backwards and telling people what just happened. They have eyeballs. I like to try to bring people into the moment and, hey, what might be happening or what should be happening or what could we be looking for? By far, my most favorite thing and I love studio, but getting a call in if all games is the best man. You're great at it. Continued success, man. We appreciate the time. Again, we know it's a busy time. I promise next time we have you on, we will talk this much football. No, no, man. Appreciate you guys.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Had the move go. It was very abrupt. Like I had my fiancee family, I had my family, and we just cranked it. Put everything in the U-Haul, drove it out here, and I had my cousin out here as well. We just kept here in just dish and boxes everywhere, and then just put it all done in two days.
Starting point is 00:42:25 So it was good. It was a grind, but we got it done. Wait, so you guys did not hire a moving company? See, right here, these things work just fine. Right, right, right. Okay. Those things work just fine, but like also, let's wait till we get a new contract before you risk injuring those things.
Starting point is 00:42:45 You know, we're pre-eathing now Austin. I know, I don't have enough to notice. We're decision making Austin. Take care of it. Yes. You guys fired Billy? No, no, we're in this together. Oh, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:42:58 I thought you were different. He's looking out for you, man. I mean, I thought you're a pillar over there. Yeah, we, yeah, out here in the football world. Yeah, we, where are we thinking? What are we, what are we thinking? Nice. What are we thinking?
Starting point is 00:43:10 It's a good question. What are we thinking, Austin? That's a great question. As a team, I think we should come up with something. Okay, we can. Yes, as a team, I would like to do that if we can. I mean, Miami's nice. I just thrown it out there.
Starting point is 00:43:22 I mean, I know. And they do like Miami out there. It is warm. It is warm. So the weather would be great. It seemed like I got a good culture going on too. With you know, you see all of it on game day. I'm, you know, interested to see what's the locker room vibes like.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Yeah. But yeah, there's a lot of factors. There's a lot of factors that play into what's next. Right. And it comes down to, you know, the money part, the team situation comes down to just the desire to have Austin, that's going to, you know, some people be like, ah, we don't even want this guy anymore. Some people are like, nah, we love him. So that will have a partner. So there's a lot of factors to kind of weigh out, which we have to march, you know,
Starting point is 00:44:03 before free agency. So we got a little time. Austin, how much of a sadist your fiance have? Great question. Oh, great question. Great question. I was going to ask it, Mike. I'm glad you did. I'm assuming she has a lot of say, but go ahead, Austin.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Great question. Thankfully for me, she is up and ready to move wherever we have to. If it comes to my job, because she can, she is up and ready to move wherever we have to if it comes to my job because she can, she can work her out. Right. She does a bunch of content creation, all that stuff. She can, she can do that anywhere. So she would prefer to stay closer to the West Coast, 100%, but knowing it would be a temporary
Starting point is 00:44:36 stop, she'd be okay to move for an NFL season, basically anywhere. Austin, I'm just saying, look, what Mike McDaniel did for most, they're not going to resign him. I would think just because he's going to cost them too much, but he led the NFL in touchdowns at the age of 31 Austin, my auntie, and me come on. Jamal Williams did that too. Yeah. And then he signed in, he signed a three year deal or a three million dollar deal. So I am, I'm hoping there's some respect that comes to some of these individuals. But obviously, Jamal Williams, we saw what happened with him and, and
Starting point is 00:45:08 James and all that. And they got him, it's, there's only touchdown of the season that the last, the whole, you know, tobacco at the end of the, of the game and all that. So it's, it's going to be interesting because there's going to be a lot of us out there in the free agency world. And, yeah, how are they gonna value us? How are we holding up? But yeah, Rahim absolutely balled out.
Starting point is 00:45:28 And so like, this is my golfie partner out when we go out into the NFL PA golfing classic. And so I'm pulling form and pulling for all of our running back, really, but yeah, we'll see how it plays out. Josh, Josh Jacob seems to be a free agent there. Maybe you don't have a far to go. Maybe you stay in Las Vegas. What's your commute like to Legion Stadium?
Starting point is 00:45:49 I think they're in Henderson. It's just like, I think like 15 minutes away from me. So, who knows what's gonna happen? We talked about this before, but the landscape of the running back market is interesting because of all of the options that are gonna be out there from kind of the older generation, going to be out there from kind of
Starting point is 00:46:05 the older generation, older, I'm 28 and I'm considered old, crazy, but the older generation and then the younger guys that are coming in, you know, that are on the up and coming and then also the rookies coming in. So it's going to be, it's going to be very interesting. Let's, let's say like I'm just an example, right, just for the sake of this story. Let's say you somehow end up in Buffalo, right? You're going to rent a U-Haul to drive from Las Vegas to Buffalo or like are we going to be like, let's get on a plane and we can have some move this stuff for us.
Starting point is 00:46:34 Hey, road trip, everybody, round off. Ridiculous. The caravan going, we got, you know, got the trailer, you know, got some popcorn, some sunflower seeds, and we're heading. It's a good fit that I lost it. Oh, man. So yeah, look, I'm just looking forward to really kind of not knowing what's going on yet.
Starting point is 00:46:58 And I think that it brings an intriguingness to it where it's like, okay, let's weigh the options, the way the pluses and minuses of different scenarios. And so, yeah, it's something that I'm keeping an open mind with because I know it could potentially play out in a lot of different ways to either extreme as well and everything in between. And so that's strange to me because you're so organized. Like every second of your day is organized.
Starting point is 00:47:23 And so I'm kind of shocked to hear that you're comfortable with being uncomfortable and not knowing what's gonna be next for you. Well, I'll say this, I do love to live in the zone of uncomfortability, not where it's excessive, but that either I'm putting myself out there and pushing myself more than I usually do or I'm taking maybe a risk that is definitely calculated, but it's still a risk. So I think that's a good place to be.
Starting point is 00:47:49 And I think my mind is so eased in this scenario is because regardless, I know I'll be able to add value to whatever team that I come to. And so it's going to be a scenario that I also get to choose, hopefully. And then even within that, like my mind is, I feel like I can go to choose, hopefully. And then even within that, my mind is, I feel like I can go to any team. I already know pretty much the players and all the defense. I've invested so much time to understanding football
Starting point is 00:48:14 and increasing my football IQ. I think that the move in will be seamless and I'll be able to make an impact really early. And I'm going into year eight. So, and not only going into year eight, but really have invested a lot of brain power into understanding this game and building myself up from where I started as number three
Starting point is 00:48:30 as a special team's guy to, and now, continue to make a big impact on the offense. I don't see a downside to me going out and having an opportunity to go to a different team or stay with my same team. And so that's why I'm not peaceful in my mind. What you're feeling with the chargers? Do you feel like they're like, have you gotten to that point where you feel like they're interested or do you not know? I don't think they've gotten to the point if they know they're interested or not. They're still trying to figure out their GM
Starting point is 00:48:56 who's probably going to be a big factor in that and also their head coach. Because I'm going to be a free agent. Joshua Kelly is going to be a free agent. So Kelly is gonna be a free agent. So they gotta find someone to bring in, whether they draft somebody, whether they pick up me again for another year or two, or whether they, I don't know, I don't think they know. I just know the door's not closed. What's most important to you? What is most important to me?
Starting point is 00:49:20 So I've actually been thinking a lot to think about this because I think it's gonna play a big factor into where I go in the future. And is it quantitative or is it qualitative? There's definitely a line you don't want to get undercut and get screwed over, but you also want to weigh the value of quality. And if it's like, hey, this is better quality for some parameters that you set for yourself, but maybe the money is not as good as another opportunity, but maybe the money's not as good as another opportunity, but maybe the quality wasn't as great.
Starting point is 00:49:46 And quality, like I said, there's parameters that have to be set there. I think it's culture, I think it's what's the team looking like. I think are they in a rebuild? There are all these different things that's going on to define the quality of a team. Head coach, often's a coordinator. What they're planning is to do with you.
Starting point is 00:50:01 And in this part of my life, I'm weighing towards quality. And so obviously the money spot is in the middle where you get a good quality and get what you're wanting for your pay. But as I've learned in life, you kind of have to sacrifice when you're getting more specific on what you want instead of what wants you. If you want what wants you, you can get as much money as you possibly can absolutely if you want You want you want you might have sacrifice it might be worth it to sacrifice some of the other things But hey, who knows maybe I'll get never get the sweet spot. I think what you should do is just you know every now and again Every couple of days just walk in just test the waters. Okay, dip your toe in the water and just tell your wife
Starting point is 00:50:40 Hey, I'm thinking about going to X green Bay, right? I just gauge your response, okay? And then report back to us. You gotta get a stress test, the relationship early, right? I mean, making sure this is for the long run. I get may, right? I like you. Now Billy has a better idea though, I can tell.
Starting point is 00:50:57 I have a better idea, this is what you do. You have a staff of people, I assume you have someone on your staff so you don, do too much work. Kind of plan out vacations with all of these different cities, but don't actually book them. And then you say, hey, thinking about going to these different places, what do you think about Green Bay, Wisconsin, they have this great hotel, whatever, right? And you give all these different, like, potential vacation destinations and then see which one she picks and then you Moons when she's most interested in living in potentially that
Starting point is 00:51:31 That's kind of elaborate. Maybe you kind of thought. Do you think about that overnight or that has came to you? He's crazy right now I see why you guys got Billy. I see why you guys do so well. We got a genius on you. Look at this guy Look at him. Thank you. Yeah, but Billy He objected to the staff of the staff. Look at him. Thank you. You have a billy. He objected to the staff and the staff doing everything for him. He didn't like that. I don't know. Yeah, that's the cat.
Starting point is 00:51:49 That's the cat there. He's a hot guy. He's saying like you have so that you're not like on Tripfinder or whatever, like trying to do all this stuff. You just said, okay, can someone do this for me? Because it's not real. You're not actually booking anything. But then you have like a whole like look, here's eight potential vacations.
Starting point is 00:52:03 I was thinking of, you know, now that I got some time, I really wanted to tour America and see all these different cities. Which one do you think you'd wanna see the most, you know? You know, with Austin and in a fellow Europe. Yeah, we make all content serious, I don't know. Yeah. Oh man.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Wait, Austin, if you're a free agent, let me ask you this, how would you feel about, and obviously this isn't something that's happening now in the short term, but how would you feel about it if you were on the team, if there's an expansion in London, would you want to play overseas? Absolutely not. Yep.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Good answers. I want to pitch the jets to you, but I don't want to do that to you. Don't do that. Don't do that, Austin. Don't do that, Austin. They had things happen to me. They had to do that to you. Like, I don't do that. I don't do that. I don't do that. I had things happen. I had to reach out to that.
Starting point is 00:52:46 These are friends. You're right. What do you mean? They got Aaron coming back. Yeah, well, I know, but you see what happens in our season. I'm thinking. Or not.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Do they? I don't know. No, they have that. They're coming back. Right. They have that. You see that offensive line? We care about you, Austin.
Starting point is 00:53:04 Oh, man. I guess praise who's fine beyond break in 12 tackles for one yard run. Yeah. Austin, how does like playoff time? How is the playoff viewing experience for you? Is it, is it, do you, you love football? So I know you, you enjoy the entertainment value of it, but are you frustrated because you feel like, hey, we should be playing in there? No, I just love watching the guys play. That's really what I get. I actually put the TV on mute because I don't want to hear any of the announcers and stuff.
Starting point is 00:53:31 And I just watch the game in the background. I'm not trying to listen to any of these. Some people are good. Some people are just like, ah, I just watch the game, watch the principles of football. And I'm rooting for these guys. I want them all to have success. When people don't realize that the NFL yes to the outside is all the logos but it's really a brotherhood right we're all in this together like I've played with a lot of these guys
Starting point is 00:53:55 we've been around them at meetings or you know different events that we do in the off seasons like I said we have the golf tournament I'm about to be playing golf with a lot of these guys here soon and so like like just watching the guys go out and play in half success and go out there and continue to compete. And because they've earned the right to be in the playoffs, it's pretty cool, pretty special to continue to stay up with. Well, let you go here in a second. What's the coolest thing in the new house?
Starting point is 00:54:17 What do you got? What's working? Like, what do you got working on here? Well, I got my lady, she plays the drums. Nice. I got my little guitar, my guitar, little lounge over drums. I got my guitar, my guitar lounge over here, I got those reppin'. So I've been learning a little bit more
Starting point is 00:54:30 coolest thing in the house. I have these lights above my ceiling and living room and they're called the clouds. And there's a big platform up there and it shines lights on the ceiling and they change colors and you can strobe it it and kind of adds an obience at night when you're just chillin watching the game on mute, you know, you got the lights on the ceiling, you know, change your color to stuff.
Starting point is 00:54:54 All right. You got to look from Billy, I'm wondering, I always have to follow these looks. Billy, what was going on there? Like he's talking about the strobe lights. Nothing. Yeah, I like it. Yeah, it seems cool. Yeah, that's probably the coolest feature from the house. All right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:06 You hung the lights yourself, right? I mean, no, I actually didn't do that one. Yeah, you people. But I remember these hands. No, smart. We care about you. Small. Yeah, keep those hands healthy. Right? There's a line. All right, man. Anything you'd like to promote in the way out, Austin? Yeah, about to be making some big, big movements in the engagement platform. So you guys have known about my app experience.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Actually, you guys, actually, one of the first people to help me promote it. So shout out to y'all. So we've actually made a pivot. We're going really heavily in the college scene and onboarding different teams. So working with a few right now to get a few college right now, I can't say anything, but we are just,
Starting point is 00:55:51 just know we're about to be making a big movement in the engagement space. So experience, so just be ready for that. By April, April is the date that we'll be making those announcements and be actually in the marketplace to some capacity So just be ready. All right a lot of things to look forward to man Speaking of things to look forward to I want to invite you to something okay
Starting point is 00:56:13 There is a Super Bowl what no well Super Bowl. We're listen. We're calling the Super Bowl together We've already determined that right. We'll see you on radio around we can't wait for that I thought we did right he won't follow through us And you just tell me that's not anything. Doesn't matter. I'm still waiting for my speech. Billy, no.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Yeah. What happened to that? You know what? I've decided. You was hoping we forget. No, no, no, no. I have decided. I want to do it live on radio row.
Starting point is 00:56:36 That's what I've decided. I have. I've decided. That's where I like to do it. But Billy, this one, I think you'll agree. I'll actually, I'll be there and I'll come through for Austin on this. There is a rumor that dead in company, my favorite band is gonna be playing at the sphere
Starting point is 00:56:48 this summer in Vegas. I'd like to invite you to the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You been there? I have not been there yet, no. I haven't been there yet either, cause I just got here like four days ago and then I left two days after it,
Starting point is 00:57:02 but it's been incredible seeing like the videos of it It just looks so intense. Actually But people some people that were for experience they went to a YouTube concert there and They they're like we were on the standing level. They said and they're like they wish they would hire up So they can actually see like experience the immersiveness of the actual they have all these lights and stuff and it was funny They had like this concrete dome like background on, and he's like, when we first got in, we actually thought it was concrete.
Starting point is 00:57:32 And then all of a sudden, it starts like doing this like matrix thing, and they're like, that was the light, and it looks that realistic. And everyone I've said is like, imagine 4K, and it's 10 times better than 4K. I'm like, okay, we gotta go see this thing. So I will eventually get over there. All right, Dad and company this summer though.
Starting point is 00:57:48 I'm inviting you to a concert there, me and you. Let's go. Let's absolutely do it. Yeah. Oh, Lord. Billy, you know what? Yeah, Billy got a home to it. He's not gonna do it.
Starting point is 00:57:57 Nothing's sure, whatever. No, no, no, Billy. Come on, I'll go in. Austin, this is the one place Billy knows I'm gonna be at. Like he knows I'm not gonna miss it. So I'm inviting you. That is true. Yes you. Yes. Thank you. I will be here. All right. It's gonna be you and we now Billy has to come, right? Well, Bill will be cool. We have to come. Well, Bill wall is gonna be there Mikey in Sure, all right. Great. We'll drop LSD and Billy's drink will be great. Okay. Well, he've lost it alone. He's got we care about it.
Starting point is 00:58:25 It doesn't sound confident. Come on. Yeah. Austin's got some testing that he's gonna have to do. So I need to say Austin's drink. I just said you were. So we don't we don't drug test it. Metal Arcoon.
Starting point is 00:58:35 All right. I think I think I've been different type of testing. But anyway, that. All right. It's a date. It's a date Austin. Me, you, the sphere, dead and company, Billy and Mikey as well, right? Let's get it. Billy Mikey, Baba Watson is back. We're thrilled about this. He picked football games for us last week. He's a big dolphin fan. We'll get his reactions to Nick Sabin
Starting point is 00:58:55 retiring. He went to Georgia. He's a Georgia fan. Billy, what were you and Mikey a laughing with Baba about before we got started here? What happened? Well, you know, we were just shooting the shit a little bit and I asked Bubba if he's ever close to winning a tournament, if he looks around behind him and he says, you know what, I don't have any more room for trophies on my mantle here. Let me just let someone else have it. And Bubba, what did you say to that? I said, I'll just build another house.
Starting point is 00:59:22 Maybe a trophy house. Exactly. Right next door. How close are you right now to the two green jackets? Like. Well, the master one master's trophy is right there with my head. Yeah. And then I have the solid gold wedge right there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:39 And then solid gold putter. I think is right back here. Right. Cause that pin gives you a solid gold club when you win a major. The jackets are out of gusto. The other trophy is at University of Georgia in the golf locker room. The jackets stay at a gusto?
Starting point is 00:59:55 Is that a rule? I think he gets them for like a year and then has to give them back. He gets for a year. Yeah, you get it for a year. I was wondering like the cleaning process. Like how do you send that thing to the dry cleaner? I don't, nothing can stay on it, it just falls right off.
Starting point is 01:00:06 I mean, so does Augusta contact you guys, I don't know a month or two before, and just say, hey, how are we looking weight wise? We need to let out the jacket at all. What happens if someone gains a lot of weight one year to the next? I mean, there could be somebody on staff that can change it real fast.
Starting point is 01:00:27 Okay, cool. Perfect. Bubba Watson is with us. Get that guy on. I don't like that. You can't keep the green jackets though. Like I don't, I don't, I don't know, Bubba, how do you feel about that?
Starting point is 01:00:36 I'm good with it. Every year that I go back, I used to go back before to practice over there. And when I go back, I, um, first thing I do is I look at my locker. I don't say anything. I just open the locker. Make sure it's in there. Long as it's in there, I'm good. It's so badass, man. A percentage of time you wore the green jacket, like you
Starting point is 01:00:51 had it for a year. So how many days of that year of the 365 available days to wear the green jacket? How many days did bubble Watson wear his? It's going to be sad. The first year, uh, first time I wore it no days. I didn't let anybody touch it. I didn't let anybody see it. And then the second time I went to my elementary school, my middle school, my high school, and then Georgia. And so those were the only days I, so about five days.
Starting point is 01:01:21 You ever spill anything on it? No, I don't eat in it or drink it. I don't want to mess it up. Billy, shake it. It is. You win the third one. You sit on the couch, each spaghetti in it doesn't matter. Power move.
Starting point is 01:01:33 I've never given back. Bubba, where were you? Like, put us there as the dolphins. You're a big dolphin fan. We talked to you last week about it. Put us there as the dolphins are losing that playoff game at Kansas City. What were you thinking? Oh, man, it was heartbreaking. I was on the couch eating my chips. You know, everybody talks about the cold and not being used to it. And but some team always plays well in it.
Starting point is 01:02:00 And when Tyree Keele hit that long bomb to get to score the touchdown, I was like, okay, now we're in the back. We're rolling. And that was it. And how do you feel about two alike? Do you think the dolphins said because I do to like, but for me, two is everything you want your CEO to be. He's a good guy.
Starting point is 01:02:20 He's a leader. He played 17 games. He's had, I think 52 touchdowns, 54 touchdowns, 22 interceptions the last two years. I think if you could win a Super Bowl with a guy like Brock Purti, you certainly could do one win one with two, even though Brock has a one one yet. But worse quarterbacks have won a Super Bowl. What do you think the Dolphin should do here with two? I mean, I actually like two. I think he's, he reminds me a lot of like, like you were
Starting point is 01:02:44 saying earlier about Tim Tibo Right a great locker room guy people love them people care for him and I think he actually does have a good arm It's good enough for accuracy. He's got too good You know horses on the side. He's got He's got water on one side. He's got hill on one side. I mean, he's got the pieces. I think the defense got to step up a little bit He's got heel on one side. I mean, he's got the pieces. I think the defense got to step up a little bit. But I think everything they got it is right there.
Starting point is 01:03:08 It's just turning that little bit of corner so they can be successful. Bubba, I want you to close your eyes for a second and imagine something. Justin Fields. Okay, here we go. Justin Fields and that Dolphins offense, the mobility, able to get out of the pocket, run for 40 yards.
Starting point is 01:03:24 It's a beautiful thing. Come on, follow me, Bubba. Justin feel. No, I'm not following. Thank you. Thank you. He goes as I said, everything. I mean, he did.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Thank you. I'm telling you, he's good. He actually did the work. He closed the eyes again. I'm telling everyone's kind of dismissing the Justin Fields thing and oh, why is he available if he's so good? He's only available because they have a chance to draft Caleb Williams. If they didn't have a chance to draft Caleb Williams They would be holding on to Justin. Why are you yelling at us? Bubba closes eyes. He didn't follow you down the bed
Starting point is 01:03:55 Everyone's right everyone dismisses Justin Fields thing and I think he's legit You're not a real dolphin fit. I know You're not a real dolphin fit. I know. I'm a coward. I'm a mess right now. I'm all over the place. Yesterday I was wanting to sign them today. I'm trading them for fields.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I'm a mess. Don't look at me. Well, Bubba, do you love them like that? Because you said you would give up a green jacket if the dolphins could win a Super Bowl. And I think you're a bigger dolphin fan that Chris is. Are you kind of like Chris? Are you crazed right now? Like trying to figure out what do we do here?
Starting point is 01:04:23 But you seem relaxed. They're going to be honest. Yeah. Yeah, I think you, I think, um right now, like trying to figure out what do we do here? But you seem relaxed, they're going to be honest. Yeah. Yeah, I think you, I think, um, yeah, we all are, right? You're trying to figure out what, what pieces are we missing? Um, like I said, we, like, I'm part of it. But what pieces are they missing? And then, um, I don't think fields. I, you know, he was at Georgia at one time and then he left. So I'm not a big fields fan. No, there we go. It's all through the George. We got it. We found it. Speaking of cold, then I'll get to Nick Saban in a second. The coldest weather, the worst weather you've ever played around of golf. Oh, man, worst weather, you know, at the British
Starting point is 01:05:02 open, you'll get you'll get rainy coming in sideways. Yeah. And then it was, it was freezing cold. And when I say freezing cold, 20-mile in our winds plus rain. And it was probably in the low 50s. And just so everything gets wet, you can't even, your mittens, all the stuff, you can't, you can't dry it. So rain in sideways, the umbrella really doesn't help.
Starting point is 01:05:22 It goes under the umbrella. So, um, that's got to be the worst somewhere in there. Do you ever feel bad for your caddy when it's raining out? Because these caddies have to like hold an umbrella for the player. That's a job. And I know it's the job they get paid well. It's just like, I always look at that. And I was like, man, that's things for that guy right now. So I wish I would hold an umbrella. Caddy should have someone to hold an umbrella for them too. Like an extra person when it's raining. Well, who holds the umbrella for that person? Well, that person doesn't like, eventually you arrive at a person's bill where you just
Starting point is 01:05:49 don't hold the umbrella. You've got to run out of people at some point. Do you feel bad for him, Baba? No, not at all. I mean, he should get back from me when I have a three footer. Yeah. It's a good question. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:06:03 Should I ask him a close of eyes? Yeah. Close your eyes next time. Uh, Bubba, what do you think? Where are you shocked when Nick Sabin decided to step down as Alabama's head coach? Uh, what was shocked? And the reason why I was shocked is because he's so good at what he does. Um, and there was no leaks.
Starting point is 01:06:21 I, you know, I didn't see anybody talking about it. I didn't hear anybody talking about it. I didn't hear anybody talking about it. And then I think this portal, this NIAL stuff, they just wazoned you, right? I just think all of it, I mean, it's like a second, it's a second NFL, right? So I think it just wazoned you with all the transfers and all the different things going on.
Starting point is 01:06:40 You recruit somebody and then you have to recruit them while the season's going on as well to make them happy to stay there. And I think you just got frustrated with it. Go ahead, Mike. Are you angry that Georgia didn't get a chance to beat him in the last time? Do you, would you, would it have felt better
Starting point is 01:06:54 if you got, would it got in that? That might be why I quit, because you beat Georgia last time. That's what I mean. Um, you know, I mean, obviously I wish Georgia would have been in there. You know, I think Georgia's a great team. They had one bad week that showed up and it was against Alabama. But um, maybe maybe NCAA knew that that he was quitting.
Starting point is 01:07:15 So he was, um, and letting him in. But to Mikey's point, where would it rank for you, Bubba? If Georgia had beaten Nick Saven, knocked him out of the playoffs and essentially retired Nick Sven, the greatest coach of all time. Obviously, you want to beat any school in Alabama, but at the same time, you're seeing a legend live and walk away. That's the hard part. Old age always gets you. There's just your times up at some point. That's the hard part. When you're watching a great champion, a great leader leave the game, that's the hard part. That's watching a great champion a great leader leave the game
Starting point is 01:07:45 That's the hard part and so that's the sad part even though I'm at you know I want to be an athlete and I want to beat everybody and I want to destroy everybody You still don't want to see the greats go because you want to still compete at a high level against the grades Bubba, have you played golf with Nick Saban or Kirby smart for that matter? No none of the above Okay, give us the like the best honest for some you've ever been involved with like that you played around a golf with. Yeah, golf. I was gonna say. Oh, man. Gosh, it's gotta be good.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Some round out lay. Yeah. Lakeside golf course out there. Yeah. Joe Pesci. Wow. George Lopez. Right. And then um, a pastor of a church. All right. Um, and then, um, and then we started, you know, my foursome grows. We ended up having like eight some. Um, oh, Justin Bieber one time. Wow. What? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's some say like when you said, this is one group or these are different. What just happened?
Starting point is 01:08:51 These are different people you've played with or you one time played with George Lopez. No, that was a one time. Wow. A pastor and Justin Bieber. Really? Yeah. Exactly. Is Bieber good at golf?
Starting point is 01:09:03 Exactly. No chance. He's getting, he's getting better. Hockey. He, exactly. Is Bieber good at golf? Exactly. No chance. He's getting, he's getting, he's getting better. Hockey, he loves hockey. Right. You know, he just did the lab with the jerseys for the all-star game. But he's getting into it. He loves it. He's playing a lot more, trying to change his habits, you know, trying to get frustrated at golf and other stuff, you know. Right. I have a passion. I can't imagine Pesci's good at golf. than other stuff, you know? Right. I have a passion.
Starting point is 01:09:22 I can't imagine passion is good at golf. I mean, he'll tell you he was really good years ago. Right. Of course, that guy. But he'll talk to your ear off though. He's awesome. He's awesome. His storytelling is through the roof.
Starting point is 01:09:35 It takes you a lot of play golf with him just because he's talking so much. What's the shittiest forceome you found yourself in? Where you're like, I'm Bubba Watson. How did I end up playing with you? He's playing with me and you. Yeah, like you like agree. You like meet them at the course and all of a sudden you found yourself in where you're like, I'm Bubba Watson. How did I end up playing with these? He's playing with me and you. Yeah, like you like agree. You like meet them at the course and all of a sudden you find yourself in a round.
Starting point is 01:09:49 You're looking around. You're like, why am I here? Well, that's it. I mean, isn't that the pro amps that they before? Yeah, wait, how was the pastor at golf? I mean, he didn't pray well enough. How about that? Oh, man. Lost a lot of golf balls.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Yeah, a Bieber playing golf, that's funny. Do you paint yourself, are they like wearing you out, asking you for tips, advice, the whole deal? No, I'm more fanning on them, you know what I'm saying? I'm like, I'm asking all these questions. They're like, let's just play golf, man. Okay. So who's the celebrity that you haven't played golf with?
Starting point is 01:10:25 The athlete, a celebrity who never entertainer, that you haven't played golf with, that you most want to play with. I'm so thankful. I'm so thankful you asked that because. Wow. I really like that. 87 with.
Starting point is 01:10:38 I think his name is Swift. Right. I think his name is Swift right here. Yes. I'm going to get this done for you, Bob. I'm 87 Swift. Okay. Wow. All right.
Starting point is 01:10:52 I have to get this done for him now, Chris. I got to get I got to get him with Travis Kelsey, right? Yeah. All right. I'm going to make this happen for you. I'm going to try to make it happen. I can't guarantee it. It's not going to be really.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Billie knows me so well. Where did you get that jersey? We can do Captain Lee for you if you want. That's not my thing. Where did you get that jersey, Bubba? Man, my therapist, my trainer, he's worked with, he's rehabbed nine, I think nine guys on Kansas City. And I told him that I'm a huge Kelsey fan
Starting point is 01:11:21 and Patrick Mohamed's fan. And so this is what I got for Christmas. And I couldn't obviously couldn't brush it on the show the other day when we were talking about Miami and how much I love is for my. Now that Miami's out. I had to wait and then it just worked out perfectly that you said, Hey, come back on the show. So now I get to show it off.
Starting point is 01:11:39 What do you think of the games this weekend? I'm going to go through the games with you. You just give us 30 seconds on each one. Tell us what you think because I know you love breaking that football. We love that. You love breaking that football. So let's start with the Texans at the Ravens. I mean, obviously you got to go. You got to think Ravens are, are the best right now. But Stroud is, is he's showing up that, that game last week, he looked phenomenal. Yeah. He's, he's stepping up. But last week. He looked phenomenal.
Starting point is 01:12:08 He's stepping up, but I just don't know if it's his time. So I'd have to go with the Ravens and I think they might dominate. Okay, dominate, Chris. Cover, great. Cover, yes. Packers at 49ers, 49ers, minus nine and a half. Who are you taking here? I'm going 49ers all day.
Starting point is 01:12:23 I don't know if the Packers can do what they did last week. 49ers are, I mean, they're strong. They're strong as they get. So I think 49ers easily. Perhaps the two best stories in the NFL this year. Individually, it's Baker Mayfield as a team. It's the lion. So Bucks at Lions, what are your thoughts here?
Starting point is 01:12:41 I want Baker Mayfield to step up again. I want him to play well. I want them to win because they beat Matthew Stafford. So I want the Lions to go down. But the Lions is such a, it's such a good story, right? I mean, 32 years without a playoff victory. I think you're right. Yeah. Your chiefs, now the dolphins are out. Your chiefs, uh, take him, take it on the Buffalo Bills. Uh, who are you taking here? I assume it's the chiefs, but I will ask you a follow up. So go ahead on the game first. I'm definitely going chiefs because I, you know, we just talked about playoffs or I just talked about playoffs.
Starting point is 01:13:19 They show up in the playoffs. Um, somehow they just figured out a way to scrap out a win. So I'm going with them. All right. So if the chiefs lose the Jersey, you'll be wearing next week is what? It'll be blue. Josh Allen. Yes. He's my favorite. Oh my God. Chris, do we want to ask Bobo favor?
