God bless football, Mike Gullick. the up and the bear Chris Felica is going to join us in about 10 minutes to give us his gambling
advice look at Mikey's face he's not even here and he's happy I mean I got those bets
in before I'm sending nothing to make sure the line doesn't move too much on me.
Real ball knower he's ready doesn't he the bear to come help out now Mikey is the one
who knocks.
We're waiting for Billy to get here, unfortunately.
Oh, jeez.
Billy ill.
He's a little under the weather.
He's sick before he gets to Super Bowl.
Oh, that does not bode well at all.
I know.
Oh, Billy.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
But that's, I mean, walk in down in this city, especially,
you're just asking for trouble.
That's not good.
Mike, so your dad thinks this is the best Super Bowl,
correctly if I'm wrong, the best Super Bowl city, New Orleans.
Yep. Yep.
Because it's a walking city.
Yep.
It's a walking city and like it's not intimidated by the Super Bowl.
Some cities, like cities where the Super Bowl come to town,
the Super Bowl becomes their whole personality.
Yes.
New Orleans is so much bigger than our little football game.
And you know what?
There's plenty, there's not like four places to go that are packed all the time.
Yes. There's tons of little dives, bigger restaurants. Right. But there's plenty, there's not like four places to go that are packed all the time.
There's tons of little dives, bigger restaurants.
You can always find a place to go get a beer
or go get some food.
Yep, what have you consumed so far, Mike?
Red fish po' boy.
Yes.
And jambalaya.
Right.
And followed that up, washed that down with three beignets.
Oh wow.
Yeah.
Really? Yeah. How do you feel?
That was yesterday.
I feel pretty good.
Today, I'll hurt myself a little bit later.
I'm going to go get a workout in, though, I think.
At least I'm going to try.
But yeah, I'm one of those.
I will eat the local food.
Aren't you promoting diabetes prevention?
I mean.
Yeah.
I mean, you need to have diabetes in order to then
prevent or stave it off.
Exactly.
Checkmate.
You know what?
I don't care that he doesn't have diabetes.
That's what Radio Roast Super Bowl is all about.
Come on.
Oh, no.
He's got diabetes.
Oh, I have diabetes.
Rest assured.
The worst.
Well-earned.
They are.
Yeah.
Or not given.
Built different.
But Stu Gotts, no, my dad went with the tried and true method
of picking out food in New Orleans,
because we were talking about this the other night when
we were walking to dinner.
And when you walk around down here, as an outsider coming in,
the locals probably know how to discern this.
Because as an outsider, you see all these signs,
and it said, such and such, home of this.
Or the original that.
I have no idea if they're lying or telling the truth.
And so dad went and looked, and he
found home of the whatever.
It was home of the blackened redfish po'boy.
Really?
And I ordered it.
So you researched this?
No.
No.
He just saw the sign.
I just fell into the sign.
And he believed them.
And I did.
I text Mike, and I said, Mike, I fell under the trap.
Right.
I'm in the home of the XXXX.
Right.
One of the many homes.
It's like in the movie Elf when he walks in,
wow, world's best cup of coffee.
Congratulations.
It also reminds me, like every city you'll find
Joe's New York style pizza.
Then you get in there, it tastes nothing like New York pizza.
I fell right into the trap.
Right into the trap.
Oh yeah.
They served him fish that they imported from California.
Yeah, I ordered it, she walked back,
said, another sucker out here.
Yeah, we got it.
It's skunk with scales put on the top.
Give him the perch.
Right.
Oh yeah, we poured this out of the Gulf this morning.
Get a load of this nerd.
I commend them for the false advertising.
I have to be honest with you.
Yeah, it suckered me and got my 25 bucks.
Yeah, it's the best.
It's the Golic Trident true matter here.
If you're wandering a city near you,
we can assure you after a lot of careful experimentation,
you'll have a good time.
I don't know if it's authentic, but you'll have a good time.
And that's what I did. I was just wandering.
I was just looking at names of places.
Sure. And I'll be damned
if it didn't say home of and it lured me in.
I'm surprised that you think.
I'm not saying it's a bad city,
I'm delving into this, right?
But I feel like warm weather,
now we're getting good weather this week.
Yes, good weather.
But I think Glendale for me was probably as good as it gets.
Too far apart, too far apart.
What?
Here's my thing, if you have to get in a car, I'm done.
Okay.
I mean because I can walk.
And we did get into several cars.
Vegas I could walk everywhere, especially to the stadium. Yes. And because I can walk. And we did get into several cars. Vegas, I could walk everywhere, especially to the stadium.
And here, I can walk everywhere.
To me, again, it's what is best for me,
not for the teams involved, not for the Super Bowl.
How does it affect what?
It's Dad and Stephen A. Smith.
Stephen A. Smith wanting to move the All-Star game
or game who the finals teams are because he wants a good they they got to handle two sites for that.
That's a dangerous game. Super Bowl. We get one and everyone's got a bid for it.
Like everyone's groveling to the NFL for the chance to do this.
The NBA, they actually have to leave it up to the teams that decide to be the best sucker business.
It's crazy. How do you guys feel about the game?
So many people are saying, hey, not a fan of this game,
don't want the matchup, had the matchup two years ago,
even though it was one of the greatest Super Bowls
we've ever seen, people seem to not want it again.
And that's surprising to me.
Why would you want this?
People say they don't want it yet.
The viewership will be just as high.
Well, I know that.
It'll be so, I mean, listen, I actually like Philly in the game
because of Saquon.
I think they'll just hammer him.
Keeps Patrick off the field.
As long as Philly's not down two scores with five minutes
to go, they better run the hell out of Saquon
behind that old line.
Set the narrative.
Gojo, what are you smiling about?
You got to set the narrative for the week.
And he fell right into it.
He did.
I know.
Listen, I picked Buffalo over Kansas City, too.
It's not like I wasn't wrong before.
No, but I told Mikey A last week, OK?
Forget about this.
Last week, I said, I'm going to set the tone.
Everyone's going to take Philadelphia
because they have Saquon Barkley,
and that keeps Patrick Mahomes off the field.
You'll walk right into it.
Yes, he set the narrative.
And now you're in Stugots' narrative.
You're part of the Stugots' coaching tree at Radio Row. I did. Congratulations. As soon as both games are over, I picked Philly. And now you're in Stu Gottz's narrative. You're part of the Stu Gottz coaching tree at Radio Real.
I did.
As soon as both games are over, I picked Philly.
It's hard not to pick Philadelphia.
It's hard.
And yet there's Kansas City.
It's very easy to not pick Philadelphia.
I made a problem, a total opposite of Dad.
After the AFC Championship game
and after the championship round,
I made a solemn vow to myself.
I locked it in a time capsule and I opened it this week.
And it said, don't pick against the Chiefs.
There's going to be a million shiny objects out there that are going to say, oh man, the Eagles, they got so much talent on this roster.
Look what Howie Roseman did this offseason. It's so great.
Don't do it. Right. Don't do it. Love yourself.
I have to keep doing it. I do. Eventually I'm going to be right.
I mean, they're going to lose at some point.
The coin will land on tails at some point. Maybe? Gojo, I was asking your dad last week,
because I think Jason Kelsey is in a weird predicament, right?
Oh, yeah.
Where he's saying that he's rooting for the Eagles,
but I don't think he's really rooting for the Eagles.
And you should root for your brother, right?
He's retired.
And so I was asking your dad, had Mike played at,
if Notre Dame had played, was it Alabama?
Yeah.
If you know if you went to Alabama and they played Notre
Dame national championship game, would he root for you
or would he root for Notre Dame?
And he said he would root for you.
Oh, absolutely.
So A, do you believe that he'd be rooting for you
over his school?
And B, should Jason Kelsey be rooting for his brother
over his former team?
He said he is rooting for Travis to do well.
And you could have rooted for me to do well
and still been fine if Notre Dame won.
No, I wouldn't want it to be either way.
What if it had been one of your brothers?
What if it had been Bob?
You guys played for the NFL at the same time.
Because kids different.
Like, I fully think if this is one of Jason Kelsey's kids
and it's in the same spot, totally different.
But if it's one of your brothers,
and let's say you had spent your whole, you already spent most of your career in Philly, whole career in Philly, but Bob's in the same spot. Totally different. But if it's one of your brothers, and let's say you had spent your whole,
you already spent most of your career in Philly,
whole career in Philly, but Bob's playing in a Super Bowl
with somebody else against the Eagles.
It's who you root for.
Wow.
If I'm not playing for Philly anymore,
I'm rooting for my brother.
And Mike is right.
Why is Jason fielding need to come out and root for the,
he doesn't want the Eagles to win.
The Eagles winning makes him look bad.
I do think he is like almost a mascot of that city though.
He was there for so long and was a part of so much winning
for them.
That's pretty tough to all of a sudden extract yourself from.
I do think deep down where he in places he didn't talk
about at parties though.
He is, those guys cry so much talking about each other
and have such a loving relationship.
There's no way.
Yeah. Yeah.
Mike, are these Super Bowls still tough for you to come to?
Because you told me one time, they're difficult.
The first time you wanted to come to a Super Bowl
was because you were playing in a Super Bowl.
I think having worked the last couple,
have kind of taken that off, I was
able to be on the sideline and work them.
I did enjoy that.
So yeah, I think I'm, listen,
I've been out of the league since 94.
I better be over it.
Jeez.
I mean, if I can't get over that.
Wow.
Who do you think is going to win, Mike?
I think Philly is going to win.
Who do you think is going to win, Cole?
I think Kansas City wins.
Really?
And you're taking the Chiefs.
I'm taking the Chiefs.
I like your chances.
All of us.
The Bears next.
And you're taking the Chiefs. I'm taking the Chiefs.
I like your chances.
All of us.
The Bears next.

I know what you're thinking. This is it, this Sunday, the end of the road, the
big game, the last football game of the season. I'm sad. No, let's not be sad. Let's be
happy. What a season it was. You know what? Let's raise our Miller lights to toast football.

I'm Mike. I'm Mike.
I'm Mike.
I'm Mike.
I'm Mike.
I'm Mike.
I'm Mike.
I'm Mike.
I'm Mike. the talk at Radio Row. I would
So, I want to be a trendsetter.
I want to be the guy. Very
important at Radio Row that you
set the pace, okay? That you
come out first and what I am
telling you is what everyone's
going to say and they'll be
ripping me off is this Eagle team is better built to beat out first and what I am telling you is what everyone's going to say and they'll be ripping
me off is this Eagle team is better built to beat this Chiefs team than the last Eagles
team was to beat that Chiefs team because of Saquon Barkley because of their ability
to keep Patrick Mahomes off the field and that will be their strategy. I said it first.
They will run the ball. They will run it a lot in an effort not only because it's a strength their strategy. I said it that. With one word. Yes.
Spags. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I get
going to say they're not going
to really make a prediction.
They're going to say, hey, if
the Eagles win, it's because of
that offensive line, because of
Saquon and their ability to do
an eleven play drive three yards at a
time for for 12 minutes that
keeps Patrick Mahomes off the
field. That's it. That will be
the take. It's a good strategy.
Thank you. It worked. It worked
for everybody against Tom Brady
that ever tried to beat Tom
Brady. So, and then rush and
get pressure with four. Right.
I'm not saying it's going to
work. You know who stopped Tom Brady? Who? Spags. Yeah.
Well, you know who stopped Patrick from the homes?
I don't think he did.
He did?
But Tom Brady won.
Yeah.
No, the Giants?
Oh, you're agent history.
Who was the defensive coordinator for the Giants?
That's agent history.
Right.
Yes.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I don't know when Brady,
was Spags a coordinator for the Chiefs when they lost to the Bucks.
I don't know. I don't think he was, was he?
I'm not sure. It's a great question.
I want to say no. What year was it?
I want to say Spags. Spags.
No, that's not a rebuttal. Spags.
How dare you, sir. Spags is an absolute rebuttal.
I would say my homes is the better rebuttal.
Yeah, that's the best rebuttal.
Right.
You just said the whole point
is to keep Mahomes off the field.
It is. And I think it's hard
to keep Mahomes off the field because
Spags. Spags.
Got it.
Wait, how does that make any sense?
Right.
How does that make any sense?
What do you mean, how does it make sense? Because he keeps- Oh no, he keeps Mah part? That's not as good. He's like, make Jalen Hurts throw, because that's the worst part of the offense, right? The worst.
Of course it is.
The part that's not as good.
He's going to beg Jalen Hurts to beat him.
Yeah.
Spags.
Find disgruntled A.J. Brown,
and throw it to him a million times,
and hopefully that works out.
Yeah.
There's no f***ing way Jason Kelsey is rooting
for the Eagles to win this game.
I don't care what he says.
No way.
I'm tired of it.
I'm tired of the conversation. I'm ending the conversation by saying Jason Kelsey is
not not rooting for the Eagles to win the game. His mom will give him like a side eye.
Oh, why? Who wants things to get better when you leave? Nobody. But here's my question.
Does Jason leave Travis sad in the locker room to go party with the Eagles if the Eagles the question is, does Jason
Stanford Steve was dreadful that first year and I'm telling you,
Felica may have acted like he was a concerned friend hanging there.
It's going to get better. He was cackling. He was delighted
and then Stanford Steve had had one for the ages this year
and I'll tell you the bear wasn't happy about it. I don't care what he says.
No one in the history of anything wants things
to get better after they leave.
They don't. Well, this is like
the in public. He has to be
happy for him. Of course. And
then the second the cameras off,
yes, cursing everything there is
about him. Stanford, Steve, how
does he know? You know, how does
he know? I'm excited. I really
hope he doesn't shoot down my
like rushing prop bet thing. I've
been writing it most of the season with my homes. What's the worst Super Bowl bet you've ever made?
Do you have one? I mean I have a lot of bad football bets like I I always see like these part these parlays and have like
Multiple touchdowns from both teams and it's like wait
So you expect like seven touchdowns to be scored in this game like a lot of people do that, right?
And it's like oh well
I have I have this kicker for over one and a half,
and then these three guys on the same team scores
a touchdown, and it's like,
how many points do you think they're gonna get?
And you're like, you know?
And then you have to get this many guys in order,
like, you know?
Yeah.
If you guys had to guess.
Seahawks.
Seahawks with the points was the worst bet.
Well, I would say it's more of a bad beat than a bad bet. How many bets on the Super Bowl. Yeah. Well, it's it's I would say it's more
of a bad beat and a bad bad bad
but how many bets on the Super
Bowl do you think Chris Felica
currently has like right now at
the currently at the time we're
taping this which which is just
over a week before the Super
Bowl. If you had to guess the
over or under on how many bets
Felica has made on said Super Bowl and I set the number at six. Would you say over or under?
I mean, are we counting all the ones that he probably made preseason that included one of these two teams to win it?
Because if that's the case, it's way over.
Okay.
I mean, we're in we're in the we're in the mid double digits.
No, Mikey.
I'm including those. I'm saying yes. Anything.
No, it's over. It's over.
It's over six?
It's over. He grabbed the early line. He grabbed the hypothetical line. He grabbed the money
line. He grabbed all the lines.
Are you saying that he has a ton of parlay's with the Super Bowl winner attached to him?
I like to think so. Otherwise,
what are we doing here? He's
next level. You're right. But
he also likes to let things
play out. Like he wants to know
who's injured. He wants to know
he needs all the information.
He's a professional. He takes
this seriously. The bear is
with us right now. Chris Felica, our friend. Uh we were we were discussing. We're about a week away from the Super Bowl. Seriously, the bear is with us right now.
Chris Felica, our friend. Uh we
were we were discussing. We're
about a week away from the
Super Bowl. We were discussing.
I set the over under at six
bear as to how many bets you
currently have on the Super
Bowl. Mikey said way over. I
say under. Uh over on the
actual game itself. Like if
if we're if we're counting like all of like the losers
that I, that I had in terms of like Super Bowl matchups and, and things like that, then,
then yes, it is indeed over. But in terms of this game itself, the number of bets I
currently have in pocket zero. Really? Really? Yep. Yep. Yeah. I am. I have quite a few like
bets involving like those cross-border parley that I put
together. Yes, I have a good number of those with both the
like the Eagles and Chiefs live to win. But in terms of like
any props or anything like touchdown scores, things like
that, I have not played anything. And the big reason why is I like to play a lot of unders.
And I think what you're going to see over the next week or so is that you're
going to see a lot of these prop total yardage totals, reception totals, carry
all these, the, the, the, the initial public push is always to bet it over.
So like, if you're
looking for an under someone
like me is looking for an
under it's better off for me
to wait because more often
than not I'm going to get a
little bit of a better number
than I would if I immediately
rush out right away and bet a
better opener embedded under
and it's it's bumped up to a
couple of yards. So well,
yeah, I'll be I'll be looking
to want to hammer some unders
over the next week or so. Alright, so when would you, well, yeah, I'll I'll be I'll be looking to what to
hammer some unders over the
next week or so. Alright. So,
when would you actually like
hone in though? Like you will
hone in and say here like here
are the Bears' bets, you know?
Over the over the next few
days, probably Monday, Tuesday
or so, I'll really take a good
hard look at a lot of the props
that they got the Superbook put
out their prop list last night and that's usually once they put their stuff out, I mean it gets hit
right away and the numbers move all kind of take a look at all
of their markets and just kind of dial in and see what I'm
going to bet like I though there is one bet that I am
looking at right now that I that I have my eye on involving
a Xavier worthy longest rush. Alright hold on a second. We're I'm not sure what I'm looking at right now that I that I have my eye my eye on involving a
Xavier Worthy longest rush.
Alright hold on. Or rushing
yards. Slow down a second bear.
I have a a pad and a pen. I
gotta write this down. So hold
on a second. Mikey, you're
writing this down? Alright, go
ahead. Alright, I heard Worthy.
So, go ahead. Yeah, no, I'm
I'm I'm gonna be looking at
Xavier Worthy's rushing yardage over in this game. I don't know what it is
I'm guessing it's probably gonna be around my guess is gonna be around five five and a half
I'm seeing it right now
And if it's anywhere in that range, I'm gonna go over
I know I just said I like playing a bunch of unders but I hear here I am with it over and the reason being
Is I'm not sure Isaiah Pacheco is fully
Healthy and fully immersed to be able to really contribute
run running wise inside. We've seen Kareem Kareem hunt run. They did not really have a great game
on the ground against Buffalo last time out. So I think you're going to see Eddie Reed and
and that offense try and get worthy involved in the running game on some jet sweeps or anything
like that. So I'd be looking to see if you're worthy if it's anywhere in the area of like five and a half
and potentially going over,
because he's been used in the running game
quite a bit the second half of the year.
Chris, speaking of the running game,
the last few Super Bowls I've really cashed in
on quarterback rushing overs.
And right now, the one I see is Patrick Mahomes.
Degenerate.
Yeah, Patrick Mahomes 29 and a half.
He had 40 something yards against the Bills.
So if we were in a draft King
State and we were doing this, I was wondering what, how you would feel about 29 and a half for Patrick
Mahomes. That number actually got blasted. Uh, I think, uh, last night, I think it was somewhere
around 24 and a half, 25 and a half, and it's moved up quite a bit. So at that number, I think it's hard because
I would lean towards an under what the way I would actually look to bet my homes is
Look for if they have like a longest rush
Single carry prop because odds are he'll have one of those scrambles where he breaks contained and he runs for
12 13 14 yards and they move the sticks and probably that'll be good enough to go over that that yard, but
Mahomes is one that was a central figure in one of the worst beats ever in a Super Bowl prop. The Super Bowl against the 49ers a few years ago in Miami,
he had those ridiculous kneel downs where it was like, I'm going to lose seven yards.
I'm going to lose eight yards.
And he was way over his Russian total for the game.
And then those rushing yard, the kneel downs, Austin.
So I like thinking of like the, the game theory and how I think the game is going to play out.
And if it's going to be a close game and you think maybe the chiefs are going to win, then maybe there is a victory
formation and he's losing on
maybe three kneel downs. Maybe
he's losing eight, nine, ten
yards on those three carries
and that ultimately could do
you in. So, uh I'd look for a
longest individual carry for
Mahomes more than I would uh
just going over in the game. So,
take the under. I mean, yeah,
yeah. That's what I would. I'd
go under twenty-nine and a half if that's what it is now. Okay,
wait a second. Did you have the
Mahomes over that year? The
year he kept kneeling? Oh yeah.
Oh yeah. You didn't sound
bitter at all. You didn't
sound bitter at all. You didn't
sound bitter at all. You didn't
sound bitter at all. You didn't
sound bitter at all. You didn't

You didn't sound bitter longest rush, I feel like it doesn't matter what that number is
for Saquon Barkley because he's going to get it on the first carry. Saquon Barkley longest rush.
Last few times I've seen it in the high twenties. Are you still thinking that they're going to be
able to do that this time around against the Chiefs? I think it's 26 and a half. I think is
what the Superbook put up there last night
And I know Bill Kraken burger who's a really sharp pro better
He immediately bet the under and I don't know if I agree with him there
I think that she's rush defense has been a little spotty
I would bet over 26 and a half before I would under but I certainly wouldn't argue with anyone if
before I would under, but I certainly wouldn't argue with anyone if, uh, if, if you did go, if you did go under thinking maybe Kansas city and spags and
that D has things locked up, but, uh, they, they haven't been able to put this
high enough. Like you said, the last couple of weeks, first calorie last week,
but 65 yards, wherever the hell it was to the house and nothing better than
cash in a bet on the first play of the game. But, uh, yeah, I would lean
towards or this cause he seems to always break at least one long run. The, the, the
thing I'm going to be curious about with the Eagles in the running game and all these running
props here, I'm curious what they post like, uh, well Shipley's numbers at, because we
don't know if gain walls going to play gain well as someone that Jeff Schwartz and I have
loved to play overs. We had his over in the Rams game.
We had his over the round before that as well,
and they all hit.
Then we had the overs again last time out against Washington,
and he would have gone under,
but he fell a half a yard short,
and then unfortunately got hurt on that kickoff return.
So we'll see if he's gonna be able to play,
but maybe the Shipley numbers
might be a little deflated too.
Again, we don't know how much play he's gonna get, because that was a blowout game, the Eagles but maybe maybe the the the Shipley numbers
might be a little uh deflated
too. Again, we don't know how
much play he's going to get
because that was a blowout
game and how much will they
bench Saquon uh to to get him a
little bit of a rest. So, it's
going to be curious to see how
the Eagles offense might be
affected. Say, Juan get more
carries to Shipley get more
carries, how they kind of
balance that out. If you have
a if you have an idea on that,
you might have a little bit of edge on those numbers. Uh guys, this is very So, I'm just gonna kinda balance that out. If you have a, if you have an idea on that, you might have a little
bit of edge on those numbers.
Uh guys, this is very exciting
and I'm sorry I didn't get to
it sooner. The bear is part of
the Fox pregame show for the
Super Bowl. I mean. I am. I
think the bear would rather be
on his couch watching the game
but he's gonna be a part of the
Fox pregame show. What are you
doing for the Fox pregame show?
That is amazing. I'm probably
gonna be doing exactly what I'm doing with you right now. ripping through a bunch of uh, bets that I have made or would
made or break, break down the game for uh, for all of the, yeah, I'm looking forward
to be, be if I'm sure it'll be a fun little, uh, a fun little segment. And uh, then I'll
get, get back to the green room or the hotel or the sports bar, wherever the hell we're,
we're going to be set up for silent. Well, definitely not the silent. I can tell you
that somewhere. I watched the game with the, of up for silent. Well, definitely not the sideline.
I can tell you that somewhere
watching the game with the of
all my pals. Do you have access?
Do you have access to the
sidelines? I doubt it II know I
have a credential but I'm sure
it just gets me in in in the
dome for for that day and I'm
sure I shouldn't say I'm sure
but I would imagine that Fox
has some type of green room set
up somewhere that I mean I'll have access to mean, I'm not a green room, but I would imagine that Fox has some type of green
room set up somewhere that I
mean, I'll have access to that,
but I'm not the NFL is never a
access sideline. They they
like they like those clean
sidelines. You guys, you know
that I know. Uh where do you
rank New Orleans in terms of
cities that host championship
games? Oh, absolutely near the
top. Everyone says that.
Everybody. It's because the the the the the atmosphere, the the food, everything about the city is
great Bourbon Street and and just all the different
restaurants is and and of course, you've got the the
casinos there which always are a never a bad thing but yeah in
terms of the city itself, that part is great. However, I won't say the top because the airport is a pain in the ass.
It's either flights in and out of there or few and far between difficult
connections, the weather can kind of be like, you never hit or miss.
It can be really rainy.
It could be unusually chilly or it could just be like super swamp humid. So it's like the core of it itself, like the heart of it, like the
really, really important things that the food in the atmosphere great, but all the the ancillary
stuff about flights in and out and whether potentially. But I'm looking forward to getting
down there. I will tell you guys that uh the bear was
nice enough to invite me to
dinner on on Wednesday with
Jeff Schwartz. He said I can
bring a plus one. I'm not
certain who that plus one is
going to be. Uh it might be
Billy Gill but Bear is asking
me to have dinner at 515. I
mean, holy **** dude. I am old
but I'm not that old, man. I I when man. When I went to make the reservations, it was like, I put in like 730. I'm like, oh, probably
730, nothing. 715, nothing. 7, nothing. So I'm like, ugh. The first two highlighted
boxes I saw were 515 and like nine. And I'm like, God. I'm like, I definitely can't do nine because we actually have to be up on Thursday morning
to do some Bear Bats digital stuff.
So I can't really have a night owl type thing.
But I'm like, you know what?
I'm still gonna be a little bit on East.
It's gonna be my first day there.
So I'm gonna be a little bit on East Coast time still.
The hour, travel, I'll be looking to settle in. And there's no time limit still. Uh the the very uh uh gratuitous prop.
Very nice. Good job. How do
you? You can't do that in the
pregame lobster. The the the
lobster dumplings that Ravioli
are unbelievable. Right? My
case clouds. Mikey A is mad
that we're having dinner and
he's not coming. He's very
upset. I can see it all over
him. I'm sorry. I tried Mikey.
Go ahead. Did you though? Did
you though? I did. Well, Billy did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I
did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I did. I'm just gonna put it on a color on the roulette table.
I didn't get a chance to do it last year.
So, cause I figured if I lose the money,
I just pay for my own meals all week.
Or I can double my cash, right?
So if you were hypothetically gonna be a casino
and you're betting a color red or black,
what does the bear put the money on?
I'm gonna go red.
I know the motto on the other side there, but I'm a to go red. And I know I know I know the I know the motto on the other side there,
but I'm a big Liverpool guy.
So it's like the right of Liverpool Reds.
Oh, that's that's great reason.
We're dominating the world right now.
That's a good point.
Are you? I'll go red.
OK. So you'd rather you'd rather go to see that's it because you get what
you get double.
So you'd rather do that one spiel, one spin of the roulette wheel, than just go down and sit in and be a grasshopper
at a blackjack table?
Sit down here is whatever I want and play one hand?
I don't want to think about it.
I want to put it all on one thing for the week.
I double my money or I pay for my meals.
That's it.
I love the term grasshopper.
That is a great term.
I also love the idea of him taking all that money, putting it in blackjack and he's getting
aces and then he's got to split them.
And then he gets aces again, splits it again and he winds up losing everything.
Or, or, or split and then it doubled down as well.
And the money's coming out of my pocket.
Five times a stake out there and lose everything.
That's a very nice. Yeah. The dealer turns over like dealers showing like four, nine,
13, 16, 20. No, you're giving me PTSD. It's my birthday. I went down to the casino and I had to
split eights three times. So I kept splitting and then I had three 18s and the dealer had, I think
she was showing a seven and then she ends up, I'm like, you know,
you get a 10, it's over. She has a two and then a 10. And that was a 19.
I lost all three hands. Right. Yeah.
Yeah. I don't think I've ever walked out of Harris in New Orleans ahead.
So it's probably to my benefit.
And he takes it seriously.
Even though I do want to go in there and see if they, if they are using the,
uh,
the Caesar's Las Vegas sports book, that that's what I am curious about because there is a Kentucky Derby future I'm looking to get down on. So if they have a, they have Kentucky, if they
have Kentucky Derby, uh, future prices up there, I want to check that out. I love bear bear.
My pen and pad is ready. What can talk No, I can't talk about it yet.
It's not a fully fleshed out idea.
I'll cut it out.
I'll cut it out.
I cannot reveal.
See, the only place I know you can bet it is the Caesar's Future
Book in Las Vegas.
OK.
The only spot that I know that has it up.
And obviously, I'm not in Las Vegas.
Right.
And I looked at the app in Massachusetts
where I could drive to Massachusetts and bet it, and they don't has it up and obviously I'm not in Las Vegas. Right. And I looked at like the app in Massachusetts
where I could drive to
Massachusetts and bet it and
they don't have it up like
Circa in Las Vegas doesn't have
it up. So like I'm curious to
see with the the Caesars Vegas
Race Buckle be be up in New
Orleans. I'm excited about
that. I love you so much Bear.
I really do. Uh by the time
Super Bowl Sunday rolls
around, how many bets
will you have on the Super
Bowl? Like, um probably at
least a dozen probably. I I
don't like to really spread
myself super thin just because
I the more the more you the
more you have, the more likely
you are to kind of uh level out
and move closer to 500 but I'll hit I'll hit a half a dozen or so
probably really good and I'll probably wind up having like a like a total of
12 or so and I know everyone's gonna want everyone like everyone loves like
the anthem bets and like the the the Kendrick Lamar like songless bets but
like you can't really get down on those anymore like a couple years ago like
when word got out of it idiots out idiots out there tweeting the, oh,
the anthem is going to be a minute and 37 seconds. And like every offshore sports book in the world took it down.
So you can get the information now for the most part. And yeah, you've got moles in there with the, with the rehearsal crew and hey,
it's going to be blah, blah, blah. But there really aren't many places that take that anymore.
Jeff Schwartz actually tells a great story
about the Gatorade color for the Super Bowl.
Right.
Like when Jared Lorenzen,
the deceased quarterback for the Giants,
like I don't know if it was him or one of his buddies,
like they went by the, like peaked and all,
like the Gatorade color, like the Gatorade color like the Gatorade
Buckets on the sideline and like looking at it's like purple Gatorade. I'm like, oh, yeah, the Gatorade's purple
So like everyone was like betting purple Gatorade that day because of the information directly from the sideline
So like a he tells it much better than I do. So we it dinner on Wednesday
Just listen to the very best podcast. Yeah told the story on the pod the other day. So, uh
that was a great plug. Direct
information from the sideline
for Jared Lorenz about the the
Gatorade being purple. But I
would imagine like Gatorade
color, coin toss, uh length of
the national anthem. All that
stuff is beneath you, bear,
right? Is that fair? No, not at
all. Really? No way. I will.
Money is money. It's everywhere.
I mean. Exactly right. There was a. I feel shame when I bet those. I mean. Money is money. It's everywhere. Exactly right. There was, I feel shame when I bet
those. I mean the year and this is however many years ago, it was the year that Justin
Timberlake was the half time act, right? A friend of a friend was involved with JT somehow and either helped him write
songs or band manager something.
And I was like, let me find out here.
And I hit my body up.
I'm like, hey, would you mind asking blah, blah, blah
about like blah, blah.
And he's like, yeah, what do you want to know?
And I'm like looking at the prop list.
I'm like, well, Justin Timberlake, we wearing a hat.
And yeah, you hear my buddy, I'm like,
hey, is JT wearing a hat?
And he said, no.
Well, Justin Timberlake have facial hair.
He doesn't have a beard or anything, does he?
No.
Perfect.
And so that was a, and ever since then,
my ability to find places to get down on halftime show props and anthem props has been few and far between. that was a uh and ever since right? Like if you know it's going to be heads, you'll bet
the coin toss. Correct. But how
would you possibly know that?
No, you wouldn't know. Yeah,
it's funny. That is like the
most bet prop. I know. You see
how tails never fail. So it's
like and you have people out
there saying like, yeah, well,
the reason people say tails
because like the head is a
little bit heavier on the
commemorative coin. So
naturally, I'm like, whatever. I'm, I'm, I'm going to let,
I'm going to let you throw your money away on that. I'll stick to, I'll stick to Gatorade.
I'll stick to Xavier worthy and his, uh, his longest carry and who will score the, uh, the
last touchdown of the game, blah, blah, blah. So there's another prop out there. I heard this the it's not a It's like a you're a super bowl player. Unless you're a Jalen Hurts anytime touchdown better. Then
you love it. Yeah. Or you bet
yes on the tush push. I love
the tush push. It's great. But
I'm with you. What's the best
Super Bowl bet you've ever
made? Um like there's one that
you remember, Bear. There's one
you think back at. You're like,
oh man. Tori Holt, Tori Holt,
first touchdown scorer, Rams Titans and in that Super Bowl thing
It was like 15 16 to 1 and that was a I remember cuz we ABC had the game
So I was working it and it was in our little green room viewing area with a bunch of former players
Who obviously can't bet and then I was like, here's what I
Here's what I here's what I bet on and and then when Tori Holt score one of the guys was like, here's what I bet on.
And then when Torrey Holt scored,
one of the guys was like, you just won.
Well, I'm like, yeah.
He's like, oh my God, that's awesome.
So they're like so like obtuse
to anything that's going on there.
But yeah, Torrey Holt, Torrey Holt
first touchdown in Titans, Rams, Super Bowls
by a favorite experience, The Patrick Mahomes kneel down rushing prop
on an over loss was a bad one.
I had Aaron Donald in the MVP
in the Rams Bengal Super Bowl
and he should have been, but he wasn't.
I had Falcons money line against the Patriots
when they pissed away the 28 three lead.
So more often than not,
there the Super Bowl memories that I have are, or I had a Kyle Juszczyk touchdown last year as well.
So that was a good score as well.
But most of the Super Bowl memories
are more bad than good.
Bear, I can't believe we haven't asked you yet.
Who are you taking in the game though?
I don't think he knows yet.
I think he has an idea of what he wants. But he's waiting for the right though. I don't think get a lot of group think like out there and just kind of see where people's minds are
and maybe not be on the side of the group think if that makes sense like it seems like
right now most people are in the camp of hell the Eagles are the better team and they got
Barkley now and they were they were favored a couple years ago and now they're better
than they were and so they should win and Barclay should be the MVP. And that's kind of been the prevailing school of thought I've heard out there right
now. But, but like, I'm, I'm really looking for any reason I can, uh, to bet the chiefs
because if you bet against the chiefs and you lose, you're like, what the hell was I
doing? Exactly. Like you, you, you deserve, you deserve whatever you get yeah if you
look to fade him and you be I mean they've lost what one real game in the
last year yeah that was the game to the Bills and like the the the playoff
losses that that Mahomes has had have just been like this the one Super Bowl
they lost where they were without what for all starting offensive lineman
against Tampa Bay yeah Yeah. It's
like it's hard to pull the
trigger and bet a bet against
them. So, I'm I think when push
comes to shove, you see it
shove but should push. See what
I did there? I saw you did
there. I'll probably I'll
probably wind up betting uh
back in Kansas City. We'd
probably be the way I think I'm
going to wind up going. It's all
about can you put your head
down on the pillow at night and
fall asleep peacefully, okay? And if you listen, if you bet my homes and you win, it's it's all about can you put your head down on the pillow at night and fall
asleep peacefully, okay? And if
you listen, if you bet my
homes and you win, great. If
you're betting, I'm with you on
this. You bet against my homes,
you'll have and you lose.
You'll have sleepless nights
for like a week, you know?
Exactly. Yeah. What the hell
was I doing? You're so right.
What's the worst bet you've
made? The worst bet I've made? The
You don't even cash that ticket. You frame it.
I did because I was not, I mean, we went, think back to the beginning of the season where we were, brah. Yeah. Like the roster that they had and the way the schedule shook down and like people
weren't sold on Buffalo being great this year. I wasn't sold on the Dolphins. You knew the Patriots
were going to be one of the worst teams in the league and it's like you could have seen a scenario
where they were starting like like seven and one and like making a real run and then
Indeed just went downhill from there
But yeah
It never never never again as SVP set on his pot a couple of weeks ago about his travel back from the college football
Championship game. Yeah, never again ever again
well, I bet on the Jets to make or win the Super Ball Championship game. Yeah. Never again. Never again. Well,
I bet on the Jets to make or
win the Super Bowl because hope
is a dangerous thing with that
and you never ever ever ever
do you want to give yourself an
ounce of hope and optimism with
the Jets because they'll just
absolutely kneecap you. Well,
since you brought them up,
would you make it their
coaching hire? I liked it.
Saying I I I mean in turn, I
heard it was either going to be him or Joe Brady were the two front runners.
I think it's good to have someone maybe, maybe who, who is there and it's
familiar with the organization and was there the last time they had an ounce
of a positive coaching and a positive front office and positive results and
coming close to the Superbowl.
Um, we will, we'll see that the that obviously the staff is going to be important.
What they do at quarterback, uh, is going to be important.
They'll have the benefits of a, uh, a lesser schedule this year, which,
which will be good, but yeah, what do you do with quarterback?
I mean, is, is Aaron going to come back for another year?
Are they going to go tie ride Taylor for a year?
Are they going to find another bridge quarterback for the year?
Uh, you're probably not going to be drafting a quarterback where they are
10 because they have so many different holes that they need to fill.
But, uh, obviously the NFL is a league where you can turn things around pretty quickly.
But, but, but I think someone there who kind of understands what Jets fans have
gone through for the last, however many years. I think
that's a yes. That's a good
thing especially he was he
lived it in Detroit as well.
He was part of a massive
turnaround and beacon that
city believe so maybe he can
do do the same with the Jets.
I just hope I don't have the
number of times we're going to
see Mark Ingram catching the
fake spike and we're going to
stare in front of Aaron Glenn. To the next start of the
regular season. How many times
I'm going to see that? A lot.
But Bear, you know what? He
wants to be there and you're
right. He knows the he knows
the pain of the Jeff fans. He
knows what we want. He knows
how bad it's been for how long
and for how long but most
importantly, he hopes that this
is his last job in the NFL and
that's very important. We don't
normally get a coach who this is the final destination for. Aaron Glenn wants this to be his final destination. So, I like that.
Well, no. We had a coach who it was his final job, Rich Cotite.
Oh, that's right. It was his final job in the NFL.
If only the team was in the same sentence there.
Yeah, yeah.
Do you want Aaron Rodgers back?
Yeah, I think. That's an answer. It was such a good answer, man. No, no. That was good answer. Is that
year. Does he have one year left on his deal? I don't even know. No. They'd have to restructure it a little bit. But if he wants to be there, they'll make it work. Yeah, for a year and
then maybe you draft and take a flyer on like a quarterback. Jackson Dart. Well, he's going
to move into the first round. He's the high riser right now. He's, he's, he's going to wind up moving into the first round.
So that's, but you draft someone that, that maybe, maybe has a chance.
I don't know who that is right now.
Um, and then next year, obviously, Garrett Nussmeyer is going to be a, a
guy who would probably be QB one if he was coming out this year.
So there might be some options next year as well, but
I think for like if you're looking for one year, I think you'd probably be better off
seeing if Aaron wants to come back for one more year.
No question. We'll get you out of here on this note. The bear went to the University
of Miami. He is a big Canes fan, big Canes supporter. Are the Canes back?
Define back. Carson Beck back your thoughts. I, it makes all the
sense in the world and I'm, I'm glad they, I mean, they needed
to do something because you were not going to be able to go
into that next season with Emory Williams as your starting
quarterback. But the issue now is you need to find people
around it. You need some of those recruits to step up at
wide receiver and and tight end and
be players that they thought they could be.
Maybe you can find someone in the second portal go round who the hell knows he
changes defensive coordinator.
Seems like it's probably a good thing, but yeah, you'll, you'll need your
secondary to, uh, to be better.
And they've made steps to address that.
Uh, I think you're probably looking at it again.
Another, uh, schedule is a little bit more difficult this year. They open with Notre Dame down there
at Joe Robbie. I'll never call it anything else because you can't take the guy's name off of the
stadium. But I think if you're looking at the fact that you've got Notre Dame, you've got Florida
non-conference, you should be in the ACC Championship game next year. And again, they should have been
in the ACC Championship game this year with the again, they should have been in the ACC championship game
this year with the best quarterback they've had
in school history, but their defense was a sieve
and they couldn't.
But are they, I hate them.
They'll never be back to what I know them as
and what all of our, my generation of Miami alums
and friends and fans and know of them as being back.
But in the end to not expect them to compete, the Miami Alums and friends and fans and no of them is being
back but uh and to to not
expect them to compete uh to
make the college football
playoff next year. They'll
absolutely compete to do that.
Uh Mikey, you just don't know
me. I never heard that tape
before and he's right. Once
you put someone's name on a
stadium, you can't take the
name off the stadium. Yeah,
right. Yeah. That goes that
goes in our next book. Oh, yes. Yes, our next. Yeah. That goes that goes in our next
book. Oh yes. Yes, our next
book. Yeah, I can't wait. The
twenty biggest myths about
college football. and then we
have a big house, right? And
then the imposing will of 110
thousand fans in Michigan, the
quietest 110 thousand people
you've ever heard in your life.
Michigan Stadium. I have Stancic writing
it already. Don't worry about it.
We're good. Okay. I'll start.
I'll start on it in Turks and
Caicos after I finish reading
your book on the beach in a
couple of weeks. Uh bear, we
love you. Thank you. I'm going
to see you Wednesday at 515 uh
for dinner. By the way, we're
going to Denny's. I didn't tell
you that. Okay, I will have
just finished
up lunch but uh no pressure.
I'll try to make it light uh
and we look forward to having
you on uh later in the week. I
wanna know this is what I wanna
know if we have you on again
towards the end of the week if
anything you said here today
has changed uh by the time we
get to Friday, let's say, okay,
I hope not but it might. We'll
see. We'll find out together. Alright, Bear. Uh good luck to you on the pregame show. I'll see. I'm not. But it might. We'll see. We'll find
out together. Alright, Bear. Uh
good luck to you on the pregame
show. We'll see you in New
Orleans and I look forward very
much to seeing you buddy. It's
been a long time. Thanks, bud.
Appreciate you. You got it, man.

All right, so I do a thing called weekend observations. DiMario Davis with us here at Super Bowl week.
It's Radio Row.
We will get to what he's doing on behalf of Ashley here
in just a second, but I was watching a game
and Tom Brady, I do a thing called weekend observations
where I just write down a bunch of sports observations
in my notes, we try to make them funny and entertaining.
And here's what I wrote down.
This was Tom Brady, okay?
No one wraps up a ball carrier like the Mario Davis.
It's my job, man.
I got to get him down, dog.
I got to get him down.
But do you agree there is no one that wraps up a ball carrier
like the Mario Davis?
First of all, you got to put an epic pause on that.
Yes.
I think, man, I do take a lot of pride in tackling.
And what a lot of people don't know is I didn't
play defense really until my senior year in high school.
Really? Yeah, I was, I thought I was gonna be a receiver. I
knew I was gonna make it to the pros. That was my goal. Right.
I'm gonna make it to the pros but I thought I was. When did
you know you were gonna make it to the pros? I would, I really
knew when I got to to college but. Okay. When I said it in fourth grade, the first time I said it. pros. I really knew when I got to college. But when I said it in fourth grade,
the first time I said it, I was like, I'm going to NFL.
You spoke it into existence.
It was never like, I hear teachers talking,
you can't just have a plan A, you need to have a plan B.
I was like, man, I'm going to have a plan for my plan A.
And that's my mindset.
So I played receiver, and I had a coach.
He brought me over to defense, and he showed me how to tackle coach McCann
shout out to coach McCann he taught me how to tackle and it was a shoulder
tackle and I still use the form that he showed me to this day you got people
tackle with their face I got some spirit you got guys who like a little sling
tackle you got people who could tackle but I use a shorter shoulder tackle and
it's been effective Wow I cannot believe you said, you set out.
So you said at an early age, I'm going to be an NFL football
player, and then you would not stop
until you achieve that goal.
That's incredible.
I mean, at that age, you don't know
what you're really declaring.
All I know is I'm a dogmatic person.
My kids are like this.
I got six kids.
My son and one of my daughters are like this.
Like, when their mind is set on something,
even as their mom and dad, we can't sway them.
Wow.
We got to figure out a way to redirect them.
Right.
And I'm like that. So when I said, you know,
my uncle asked me, what do you want to be?
I'm like, I want to go to the NFL.
We had just watched a playoff football game on TV.
The whole family was watching.
Sure.
I'm like, I want to be, my whole family
sitting around the TV watching me.
Right. And I was like, I'm to be my whole family sitting around TV watching me.
And I was like, I'm going to the NFL.
And I made it.
And everything was, I mean, I started practicing
doing my autograph when I was like in the sixth grade.
Really?
And it's like, I use the autograph that I practice
like a thousand different ones.
And I was like, oh, that's the one I'm gonna use.
And that's the same one I do to this day.
That's pretty incredible.
Are you having fun here in New Orleans?
Oh man, listen, where else would you rather be?
It's a great city.
And it's amazing.
It's one of the most unique cities in the country.
It's great for weeks.
Come get your dose and go on where you gotta go.
Get it in small doses you're saying?
Yeah.
It's so much to take in.
I'll gain too much weight if I stay here too long, man.
The food is unbelievable.
Everybody I talk to is like what they're looking forward to
is the eating.
Right.
Man, so much culture here.
It's Mardi Gras week.
Yes.
It's festival season.
It's kicking in.
Man, listen, it's an amazing time.
And people are just getting here.
Open tonight was great last night.
Right.
You just can tell the energy is going to be crazy.
Listen, this game is about to be phenomenal.
Yeah.
That's what, you know, it's a lot of games that, you know,
Super Bowl could go any kind of way.
Sure.
You might get an epic Super Bowl like Ravens and 49ers.
Last time it was in New Orleans.
Or you might get when Patriots played the Rams.
Nobody remembers that game.
Right. Yeah, you're right.
I think this is going to be an epic game.
You got two phenomenal quarterbacks. I mean, I'm looking at those guys when they came in
over the night and they on the stage together, they doing the high fives and doing all that.
But you looked in the eyes, man, you saw two killers. Yeah. And this game is about to be good,
man. So it was great the last time they played, right? Oh, yeah. It was a phenomenal game.
Right. Went down to the end, you know, Holmes proved his greatness once again, right? But I think that sat in the back of
Jalen Hurst mind and
AJ Brown them guys they haven't forgot. Yeah, and now they got Saquon
They come in the town
So well they have the thing that can keep that can keep Patrick my homes off the field and that's a quantity
Yeah, yeah, I mean, you know when you're playing the Chiefs is really one thing
Keep keep my homes and Andy Reid off the field at the end of the game.
Right. Yes.
I think last year the Super Bowl, we knew what was going to happen, even though they were backed up against the wall.
I mean, I did the ball at the end.
Yeah.
And it was like, yeah, go ahead and cancel Christmas.
And the way he went down the field was so epic.
Yes.
It was like watching poetry in motion because you knew he was going to do it.
It's just a matter of watching it,
watching it play out.
Yes.
Now what I will tell you is.
I think people be okay with Andy Reid on the field,
by the way, as opposed to Patrick Moe.
That's his machine.
Let's not forget who's behind you, man.
Having a great offensive mind at the end of the game.
Right.
You know, you got to have a general
that's on the field doing it,
but you got to have a great play caller
and they got to be in sync.
But I tell you what the Eagles have that can pose a threat.
Okay.
That I think that the 49ers might have not had at that moment.
You need somebody that can make that game-changing sack.
Right.
You remember when Aaron Donald was in the Super Bowl?
Yes.
He got that big sack at the end of the game?
Yes.
The only thing that can stop a quarterback like Mahomes that's on that Tom Brady level,
if he hasn't quite got to it, he's right there knocking at the door.
They're going down the field.
They already know where they're going with the ball when they get to the line of scrimmage.
And everybody knows it's really just like, don't drop the pass.
He's going to get the ball to the right guy, going to make the right decision all the way
down the field.
The only person that can be affected, this is why the most important defensive position
is a pass rusher.
Somebody gotta be able to get to him
inside of three seconds.
Right.
And I think, like the guy who's made
so many of these type of epic sacks is Brandon Graham.
Yeah.
That's what he does.
Right.
He's always making that phenomenal sack.
So if we get to the last drive of the game,
and Mahomes is driving down,
and Brandon Graham gets a sack push,
I'm gonna be like, the Mario Davis called this.
I'm gonna say that.
And I like that because you're saying,
for the first time, Mahomes won't get it done.
You're saying, you're saying.
I'm not saying that.
I am not saying that.
You are not gonna protect me with that.
I just said, don't be shocked if that happens.
Do you want me to ask you to get it at the end,
and you say Mahomes is gonna get it done,
but that way you have all sides covered.
You know what I'm saying?
You can't be wrong.
No, I just said I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
No, I know.
But for me, I think if I had to make a pick,
I'm saying 3P is gonna happen.
Okay, which defense do you trust the most though?
Because defensive lineman after quarterback,
that D lineman are the best players
on the field in this Super Bowl.
Yes, yes, the defense I trust the most.
Oh man.
They're both good.
Man, they're both really good.
Number one pass defense, tough. I know. With some both good. And they're both really good. Number one pass defense tough.
I know. With some defense alignment they can get it done. Yeah and spags on the other. But man
listen that corner blitz. Yes. On Josh Allen. Yes. Oh my gosh nobody saw that coming. Can you
explain that like. Because you're marveling at something. I don't think we know. We talk about
this all the time. Yeah. We have no idea what we're watching.
Yeah.
So can you explain why that was so,
like even to someone like you,
who's played the game your entire life.
Yes.
Why was that so surprising to you?
Yes, because when an offensive line
kind of comes out and they're looking,
they pretty much have numbered
where the blitz can come from.
Okay.
And there's so many guys, and so it can be,
you know, kind of your four defense alignment
or your three linebackers or two linebackers in a nickel.
And that's most time who you're watching.
If it's the safety start moving,
which is the guys who are on the back,
if they start rotating, it's one of them blitzing.
Okay.
Very rarely do you think that the corner is coming.
Right.
And so, if you've shown that, team's kind of aware of it,
but it's just hard to pick up,
and it has to be called at the right time.
That's what they did.
It was like, because it's so risky.
If you blitz the corner, you're almost giving up a first down
because it's easy.
It's hard to hide that the corners blitzing without
rotating the safety over there.
So it's like 10 yards of grass that he can just throw right
to and get the first down.
So they saved it for that time.
They saved it for the right time.
The quarterback missed it, and he almost scrambled right
into the blitz.
I know.
So you're telling me Josh Allen had no idea that was coming?
No, he didn't know it was coming.
That's amazing.
He would have got to a different play.
Wow.
He would have got to a different play.
He missed it.
He missed it.
Tell us what, that's incredible.
Thank you for breaking that down.
Yeah.
Because as fans, we watch football, right?
We're just watching the quarterbacks.
Yeah.
We don't know what's going on inside the trenches, you know?
I mean, and that's what a quarterback
has to be able to diagnose.
Right. And so like, when you talk about the hardest position to play. Yeah. I don't want to just going on inside the trenches, you know? I mean, that's what a quarterback has to be able to diagnose.
Like, when you talk about the hardest position to play,
I don't want to just say Josh Allen missed it.
It looks like he missed it.
But they have to diagnose all that,
to know exactly where they're going to go with the ball,
get the team to the perfect play, Carl.
That's what, when you talk about the goal to doing,
that's what Tom Brady would do.
He would be able to look at the defense
and know exactly what they were in
and get the team to the play that was going to give them
the optimal chance of success.
Preparation. Yeah.
Film doesn't lie, right? Yeah.
Film tells you everything you need to know.
Tell us what you're doing on behalf of Ashley.
You're doing great things.
Oh my gosh, listen, Ashley.
You're a good man, I gotta tell you.
Oh man, I'm just a man trying to do his part.
Well, you're a well-dressed man trying to do his part.
Well, thank you, man.
Thank you, man.
Shout out to my wife, she helps me with the threads.
Man, Ashley is awesome.
Man, they care so much about our country,
and so they have initiatives going all over,
but they have a deep connection to New Orleans
and want to help people.
And so they partnered with us pretty much
throughout the whole season for my 100th start,
which happened this season, my 100th start in New Orleans.
Amazing.
They partnered with us to do 100 beds for the Covenant House, which is a shelter for
youth, the only shelter in this region for young people.
So they're doing amazing things.
So we partnered with Covenant House many times over holiday events, but
we got a chance to donate 100 beds to that place.
Man, that meant so much to them.
Just imagine a young person having their own place
and it feeling safe and being a nice new bed.
So that was great.
We remodeled the house.
This amazing lady, she has a son that's autistic
and man, she does so much.
Life has a lot of adversity,
but she's just taking it and blessing people.
She's an amazing singer, amazing does hair in the city,
just helps so many different people.
So we got a chance to remodel her whole house
with Ashley furniture.
So they have been great, man.
And it's great to see them connected to the community
and doing work for people and changing their lives.
And so it's been great. They've been a phenomenal partner.
It's great to see the pride you have when you're when you're telling those stories.
Yeah, I mean, it's real work.
It's and we live in a world that's moving so fast and a lot of things are happening.
Yeah, but man, don't forget there's people around you.
Right. And everybody's going through something and everybody could use
something. Right. And so you have something that can help somebody and
somebody has something that can help you and that's what interconnects our world.
So and man they understand that. You surprised the nurse right? New Year's Eve?
Yes. And see Ashley's done so much that you forget you forget and so
Being able to surprise a first responder man the tragic. This is one of the coolest things I've ever go ahead
Tell the story, but it's one of the great things I've heard and listen tragic what happened on the first man
You don't get that time back. You know, that's something that has marked us. This is such a resilient city and
To to everyone that was on the scene
you know, our fire department, our police department, first responders, it took everybody.
And you imagine what's happening, everybody's real, it's people that have to be on point
in times like this.
So we got a chance to bless a nurse who was one of the first responders who was having
to navigate that tragic moment.
And we were able to give her two Super Bowl tickets, you know, courtesy our partnership
with Ashley.
That smile on your face, man.
That was awesome.
Yeah, you're awesome, man.
Oh man, praise Jesus.
It's your Super Bowl week, man.
Enjoy the holiday.
You're hosting.
You're the host.
You know that, right?
Everyone asking you, hey, where am I going to dinner?
Where do I go?
I need tickets.
I'm coming to you, right?
See, that's the great thing about this city, man. It's us, a festive city. Right? Everyone asking you, hey, where am I going to dinner? Where do I go? I need tickets.
I'm coming to you, right?
Yeah, man.
See, that's the great thing about this city, man.
It's a festive season right now.
So there's parties everywhere.
It's parade season.
So the festivities are high.
You can't pick a wrong place to go.
Everybody's talking about the food.
It's awesome.
So it's great to just welcome the world to our city.
All right.
Doing great work with Ashley.
Also check out his foundation, Devoted Dreamers.
He's also the best dressed man here on Radio Row.
Tell your wife she did a phenomenal job.
Hey, I appreciate you, man.
It was a blast.
Bless it to you.
All right.
Appreciate you, man.
Thank you, Devora.
Yes, sir.
OK, man.

["Football 301 Theme Song"]
Nate Tice is with us.
He's the host of Football 301 on Yahoo Sports.
And they're recording on the Toyota Land Cruiser set.
That sounds pretty cool.
But you are, how old are you?
35.
You cannot give yourself a curfew Super Bowl week
when you're 35, man.
I had to, man.
You do that when you're my age, which is 50.
My better days are behind me.
I used to be a contender, especially at the bar.
No, but that's kind of what I had to do.
I was like, oh, I looked at my schedule and I was like,
huh, I don't know if I can do this with a headache.
Right, I know.
I love this city.
My uncle played for the Saints for 10 years.
Right.
I used to go to the Manning Academy here in Louisiana.
So I used to come every year in New Orleans in January.
And so it's kind of fun actually doing it for work now.
Yes.
Every time I'm here, I'm like, oh, yeah, city rocks.
Right.
People here are really nice and cool and fun.
So I'm loving it so far.
Yeah, it's a great city, it really is.
It's a great big event city.
It is.
It's a walking city.
It's a walking city, yeah.
That's the big thing.
That's kind of, I don't know if you've been
to the Combine in Indy, that's why I never think
they'll move it, because everything is like
three blocks from each other.
Bars included, restaurants, but just like
where the facilities are. Yes.
And that's just such an underrated.
No one wants to get in the car for five to 10 minutes,
do everything.
So I think that's what's great about this.
So I'm glad you brought up the Combine,
because I tell Levitard all the time
that if you just walk into St. Elmo's during Combine Week,
you'll hear everything you need to hear.
That and Prime 47.
Oh, really?
Which is a restaurant.
Is that a new spot?
No, it's been around. OK. It's just that time doesn't exist in Prime 47. Oh, really? Yeah Is that a new spot? No, it's been around.
It's just that time doesn't exist in Prime 47.
Oh, really?
Yeah, yeah.
It's the same lighting.
Next thing you know.
Yeah, same lighting no matter what.
And the thing that happens during the combine
is just a lot of guys, a lot of coaches and personnel guys,
they're interviewing till 11 PM.
So really the networking, quote unquote,
the convention part of the combine,
it starts at midnight.
It's like not just drinking wise,
it's just like people just finally are stepping out
and actually can like hang out and stuff.
So it's kind of a surreal thing where it's like,
all right, 11 o'clock, guess I'll start out.
You know, I feel like I'm in New York or Miami actually.
Yeah.
Right, that's Pastor Curfew though.
I hang out longer in Indy than I do in New Orleans.
Yeah, that's how you're supposed to do it, right?
The places you shouldn't be in.
I know, I know.
I live in Vegas too and I'm acting like,
I'm just like, yeah, can't even handle this.
So Vegas for me, that was a nightmare,
like in terms of a Super Bowl.
I did meet you there and I was like,
okay, you did, I was surprised.
No, no, I remembered, yeah.
I normally don't, to be honest with you.
No, no, that's the thing, yes. I normally don't, to be honest with you. No, no, that's the thing is I felt bad for people there,
because you could tell everyone's excited at Vegas, okay.
And then after day four,
and you guys had some crazy weather too,
after your live shows and stuff.
It was freezing.
It was freezing, yeah.
And like day four, I got to go home every night,
every day, and I just saw everybody worn out.
It's just being in those casinos.
It's like the little city states, and you can't get out.
Well, and not only that, it was like to get like,
once you got to the hotel, once you got to the media center,
like to the front doors, you're still outside.
You were just starting your trip.
It took like 30 minutes from that point
just to get into the media.
It took me two seconds today.
Yeah, I know.
That's what's so great.
My hotel's two blocks away.
I know.
It's pretty awesome.
Tell us about the Football 301 on Yahoo Sports.
So we've got Charles McDonald, who I know
has been on some LeBretard shows.
Yeah, friend of the show.
Yeah, friend of the show.
So him and I and Matt Harmon, who
does reception perception, and has backgrounds
a lot more in fantasy.
But really, we talk about X and O scheme stuff.
Really a lot of deep dive stuff.
Charles helps me kind of come out
of my little lair sometimes, actually.
I gotta be a normal person about some of it.
But really just like, there's a lot of like,
what happened, when happened.
We're really trying to go why, how.
I think a lot of people like when they can just point out
one thing to their buddy at the bar.
And go like, hey, this linebacker's pretty good.
Or hey, they like run this coverage, or something of that sort.
My background, I've done everything in football,
played, coached, scouted.
I was a ball boy.
I think what just all that has led me to go like,
oh, maybe this, I was around a lot smarter people
through osmosis.
You go, maybe look out for this.
Maybe look for this guard that's weak against this blitz.
And I think that's a nice angle for us.
And it's a lot of fun to dive into.
So I think it's interesting, Dan and I say every week,
and I just had this experience with DeMario Davis,
who explained to me why that corner blitz
that Spags put on Josh Allen,
he like actually took me through it
as to why it was so special and how we actually set it up.
Because Dan and I have been talking about this for years,
we don't know what we're watching on Sundays.
It's a lot. And that's what people think the all 22,
you know, the big X and O stuff,
where you can see all the players on there.
People think that's like, oh, you guys don't know what you're looking at and stuff,
but you have to rewind it a million times,
because you don't always see what the guard is doing from the sideline angle.
You don't see downfield what the safety is doing.
And that play was brilliant.
I mean, we have 500 backlash breakdowns on that play
and everything.
But that's what's really cool, especially with blitz stuff,
is that there's layers to it.
And there's rule breakers.
And that's why I love Spagnola.
I was a former offensive guy.
But watch him.
He breaks rules.
And that's what it's a total FMEFU kind of thing.
And he's able to do it.
And you saw that perfect fourth perfect fourth down play was like,
yeah, that's what Spags does to you.
Crazy.
He does the 501 thing that you're not.
You are prepared for it, but it would be like a leap of faith
to get there for an offense.
And that's what's really cool when you start dissecting it.
He is maybe, and I've had this discussion with him.
He and I have become friends.
But I've told him, like, I know he wants to maybe
be a head coach again.
Why leave this quarterback?
Why leave this coach? Why leave this coach?
Why leave this situation?
There's nothing wrong with being the greatest
coordinator that's ever lived.
That's right.
And his reputation in my mind now, speaking to this,
is he went from a head coach retread, OK, interesting
defense coordinator, to now I consider him
one of the greatest defense coordinators of all time.
And I truly mean this. I think that some of the game plans coordinators of all time. Yes. With some, and I truly mean this.
I think that some of the game plans, just like Belichick, should go to Kenton.
Right.
Because he's one of the best game plan coordinators.
Once the playoffs started, so week to week.
Right.
Like as far as like, all right, that game plan,
throw it out, cuz we're starting a whole new one.
Different team, different game plan.
Different team, and now we got all 18 weeks to look at the previous film,
as opposed to maybe four in the middle of the season.
Right. Him and Andy Reid, on the opposite side, as opposed to maybe four in the middle of the season.
Him and Andy Reid, on the opposite side, are the best.
And now they have a bye week.
So that's how I look at it, too.
It's like, all right, you probably paid pretty well, too.
And everybody now has the respect
level has gone through the roof.
So you're saying Andy and Bill are the coaches
who are the best at getting their teams prepared week
to week.
It's not just week to week.
It's once we hit playoff time, they have those hyper-specific game plans. So maybe that's the best at getting their teams prepared week to week? It's not just week to week. It's once we hit playoff time, they
have those hyper-specific game plans.
So maybe that's the best way to put it.
They're the ones that are able to create
these one-off game plans, the one-off plays that's like,
oh, that was cool.
I even come back to two years ago,
though, when these two teams played in the Super Bowl.
Remember the kind of back and forth touchdowns
and motions and stuff?
Because Andy Reid was able to watch every Eagles game
where the coaches were from all the whole regular season. And they Because it wasn't, Andy Reid was able to watch every Eagles game where the coaches were
from all the whole regular season.
And they took those plays, which are popular,
but they took it from the Jaguars doing it
against the Eagles in like week four.
And that's the difference is they put in the work
and go, oh, that's interesting.
We're gonna put it in now.
And that's what the extra bye week does.
It gives you the time to do it.
So.
Interesting.
Yeah, that week to week, I keep saying week to week.
I should say that specific playoff game plans,
they are the best at it.
Who's not doing that?
That's a good question.
Yeah.
I'm trying to even look.
Like is Sirianni doing it?
I think Sirianni gets a raw deal.
He does, right?
I mean, they keep winning and everything.
They've been to two Super Bowls for years,
playoffs for consecutive years.
I thought one thing, underrated aspect of Sirianni
was the year before they won that first Super Bowl run,
so that would have been 21.
He benched himself as a play caller. And usually you'd be like, ha ha ha.
But I thought the humility to go, no, Steichen, you got the plays. I'm going to bench you.
Because they were struggling the first four or five weeks, I want to say it was, and then they had a bye.
And they launched from there, and then they got A.J. Brown and continued the next year.
Steichen's now a head coach.
That's not an easy thing with the ego involved in this sport. Think about that.
He stripped himself of play calling response.
Usually what you see is the opposite.
Correct.
Oh, I'm taking it away from him.
He's fine.
He's the first one to fire me at the fire going, yeah.
He's the human meat shield for me.
And that's what most coaches do.
I kind of look back then.
I respect him for that because not a lot of head coaches
would do that, especially ones that finally get
their first head coaching job.
I'm not like, I'm going to be a play caller.
Look at me. I'm the next McVeigh Shanahan.
Right.
So that's one thing where I was like, hey,
I mean, there is something to that.
And there's something to being like, I hate the term,
but the CEO type that kind of gets everyone organized.
And I mean, they keep winning games.
Listen, Philly should be embracing him.
He is Philly.
I mean, they should be giving given a bunch of vowels in it.
Philly should want him to coach that team forever, man.
Might just go luck charm.
Listen, I said this to Levitard.
He got mad at me.
But I said, if Sirianni wins this Super Bowl,
he is the greatest Eagles coach in Eagles history.
Another one got ran out.
Like, Doug, Andy Reid got ran out.
I know.
I know.
Sirianni could still win something.
Hey, going to two and win at one is a lot better
than a lot of other coaches. I know. Even if you end still win something. Hey, going to two and win at one is a lot better than a lot of other coaches.
I know, even if you end up as the Larry Coker of NFL coaches, it's not the worst in the
world.
It's not.
Larry Coker had the greatest start, I think, in college football history as a coach, right?
Yes, and that's how I feel about him a little bit, too.
It's like, hey, yeah, he's taking over a Ferrari, but he's keeping it on the road.
And I know every time they lose, it's the funniest little like, you know,
everybody starts dropping rumors and gossip and everything.
But I haven't gotten a lot of that lately
because I think things have been pretty good in Philly.
How about Fangs in terms of getting his team ready?
Because this is such it's such a fascinating Super Bowl
where you have Mahomes, you have Jalen Hurts,
you have all this offensive talent, right?
But the defenses are strong.
The coordinators are great.
It could be a low scoring game.
That's what I think it's going gonna be a lot of long drives too.
Right.
It's both of these defenses are top five
and allowing explosive plays.
And the fact that they don't allow them I should say.
Right.
So and I think that they're very,
you can be methodical against both of them.
I think the Rams game was interesting
against this Eagles defense.
Where they're really doing a lot of at you runs,
a run concept called duo.
But what it is, it's just like vertical, just power basically without anyone pulling.
And you can do that. If you're willing to live with four or five, six yard gains, yeah.
And the Chiefs are able to do that. That's what they want to do. They're not very explosive anyways,
but they're hyper efficient. So I think that's a lot of long drives. I think this is going to be've been kind of given. I think this is going to be the shortest Super Bowl,
I guess, far out.
I agree.
Yeah.
Even with the halftime show.
Well, because now you have Se- listen,
it was a great game two years ago.
But now you have Saquon.
And to Sirianni's credit and Howie Roseman's credit,
to be able to get Saquon from the Giants, which
is ludicrous and absurd, but you now have the guy,
if he doesn't break one for 80, you
can have those 11 play, 10 minute drives.
The most important thing about him,
we've kept Mahomes off the field.
That's it.
That's it.
And both teams want to do that.
The Chiefs want to go, well, we don't
want them hitting big play after big play on us.
Correct.
I am really curious.
My eyes are going to Spags versus Jalen Hurts,
and the Eagles offensive line.
It really is, because Spags is one of the best,
he's one of the biggest blitzers.
But he runs a lot of zone blitzes.
And that's a difference than man coverage blitzes. And Jalen Hurts has been better against the blitz,
but if you remember last year in the playoffs, Todd Bowles and the Bucks, they kind of exposed him a little bit.
Yep. And he's not good against zone blitzes though, because it's just a little more confusing,
it's a little more exotic. So that's one thing where it's like, all right, if they get an explosive playoff of it,
that's the end of the side of the game, but I think Spags is going to try and bait him into that one turnover that can totally swing the game.
Right. Xs and Os are important, man, just so you know.
They are.
It's on our car over there.
No, like, I know, you know,
I know you want to try to drag out your personality and all that.
No, we need Xs and Os, okay?
Let me be the jackass. You give us Xs and Os.
I know. I'm fine with that.
This is more my language, so we're good.
No, I love the Xs and Os though.
I really do because again, we don't know what we're watching.
Yeah, so I'll tell you one little inside baseball play.
It's a coverage called Palms and it's a quarter's coverage, so too high shell.
And on it, it's basically a defense trying to run cover two and cover four at the same
time.
And what you're trying to do is bait the quarterback into throwing to the slot like a quick out
route and thinking that you can just have nice open space over there.
Jalen Hurts loves throwing those.
The Chiefs are one of the best defenses at running this.
So they'll blitz.
The quarterback will think he's hot.
And there's the corner who looks like he's running with the outside receiver.
He'll turn around and be there to pick off and blow up the slot or the tight end.
That's I feel like that kind of play is gonna be
the one that decides the game.
It's what the Chiefs do.
It also baits Hurts into throwing what he wants to throw.
But this is where I love this stuff is that,
okay, I know what you know, but I know what you know.
All right, does Kellen Moore go like,
all right, now throw the vertical route right behind it.
And that's what I, if he does,
if I see that little hole shot,
that little 15 to 20 yarder towards the sideline,
I'll be like, oh, the Eagles got some stuff.
If I see that pick or that bat of the ball
or that blow up on a quick out route,
that's where I'm like, OK, the Chiefs got some stuff.
There's going to be those little indicators
like who maybe has the mental edge right away.
I love it.
It seems, maybe I'm wrong here, it
seems like you think the Eagles have a pretty good shot here.
I'm Lena Chiefs.
Are you?
Yeah.
You're not going to be surprised if the Eagles win. No, I'm not. Because they, I mean, I hate them. I'm doing thes. Are you? Yeah. You're not gonna be surprised if the Eagles win. No I'm not.
Because they, I mean I hate... I'm doing the same thing by the way. I know top to bottom the Eagles
are a better team but I'm not betting against this guy again. That's right and there's nothing where I look at
with the Chiefs team where I'm like oh that's a glaring weakness. Like everything's solid, you know
they just don't create explosives but the thing is my homes can be methodical and can nickel and dime you.
So, and you got Andy Reid on a bi-week
and you got Steve Spagnol on a bi-week.
I never go against it, but I do.
Eagles can run the ball, stop the run,
create explosive plays, stop explosive plays.
That's a really good formula too.
No doubt.
How's the Land Cruiser set, by the way?
It's good, it's nice.
I'm jealous, I don't have a Land Cruiser here.
I mean, oh, it's right here, oh my God.
I know, I know.
But that's what I said, they literally have X's and O's
on it.
So it's like, yeah, I know.
I know, so.
That is so good.
No, it's great.
I know, they were doing a great job over at Toronto.
Which part of football did you love the most?
Was it the ball boy?
Was it playing?
Was it the coaching?
Or is it this?
Oh.
I mean, ball boy is such a great time.
Ball boy, ball boy was pretty great.
I was in high school, middle school.
And just with those old Vikings teams
with Moss and Cold Pepper and stuff.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, I saw some real. Oh my wow. Yeah, I saw some real ****.
Oh, my god.
Yeah, some of the greatest ****.
Yeah, so Moss lateral stuff.
Yeah, Chris Carter just unhinged, right?
Yes, yeah.
Oh, man.
Never shutting up.
We had Terry Smith on those days.
I said that respectfully to Chris Carter.
Yes, no, he was a great sands out there.
He was just wired that way.
Well, that's also warped my line of thinking
is that I watch Randy Moss, Dante Culpepper,
Chris Carter, John Randall, Kevin Williams, all these guys,
and I'm like, oh yeah, every receiver is like Randy Moss. Yeah, right. And then I've
never seen someone near that ever in my life. Not even close. Not even close. It's like, oh, there's a lot more Nate Burleson's than Randy Moss's. I love Nate too.
There's a lot more Chris Carter than Randy Moss. And I say that respectfully again. I know, I get Chris again. Two shots. No, but he's done nothing to make this corner.
He doesn't deserve any.
No, but being a ball boy, I mean, even though I was making like 20 bucks a week, it was
invaluable.
Right.
I remember the Vic play where two guys ran into each other and the Vikings, I was there
for that one.
Like I saw a lot of kind of cool moments.
I saw Brett Farr play five feet for me, paying manning.
Amazing.
That probably is the best and because maybe I was also 16.
Right, and it comes with zero expectations too, right?
Zero, just get the ball in the ref.
Just get the ball there.
Just throw it on your hand, make sure it spirals.
You can't throw overhand to refs.
Oh really?
Yeah, they hate it.
Wait, what do you mean?
So there's a preferred throwing style for refs.
Time out, you were throwing balls back into the game,
onto the field of play, two referees,
they needed a ball, and you're telling me
you could not throw it overhand. You can't throw it overhand, they're telling me you could not throw it over hand it okay so they get mad at
you throw it over hand because some of them can't catch okay so you have to
throw an underhand throw and they prefer with a little lob oh really and adjust to
it and everything like that right so no but like and I was a quarterback so like
there's times I was like fuck it let it rip and hit it and one time a ref actually
loved that because it was like a no huddle, two minute situation.
He's like, thanks for getting the ball out there.
And I was like, oh God, I thought I was going to be fired.
But no, it's true.
I one time threw it overhand and a ref lectured me.
He's like, do not throw it overhand.
He's like, you do not know what my hands are like.
Who was the ref?
I don't know.
I know, I wish.
Who's the ref?
I know, well, a lot of those guys are retired now too.
So yeah, I know.
But has there been a ref?
It might have been a Hockley. It might have been a Hockley.
It might have been a Hockley.
Oh guns really?
Was there a ref you didn't like and even though you knew he wanted you to toss it on their
head and you just beamed them right in the face or something like that?
Actually speaking of Hockley.
Oh really?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no All I want is ball boys, sorry. He got bulky for a reason. He knows he's on TV.
One thing with Hockley I always notice,
okay, so there's the orange guy that says TV timeout.
Okay, takes the pause.
Offense will be in the huddle sometimes and everything.
A lot of refs just go into the quarterback and go like,
hey, five seconds.
And then back out of there.
Hockley goes, hey, five seconds.
And just hangs because he knows the camera. He's going to be, when they come back from the career show,
where they always show the offense breaking the huddle.
Yes.
There's Hockley, always going, and then he goes. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Make sure you get that extra couple seconds in there. That is it, right? A couple seconds. A couple seconds.
Show off the tries.
Oh my God, that is so good.
