Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This is the Dunlabel Tarshall with the Stugat's Podcast. I don't totally trust Tony's judgment. So when Tony comes to me and says that I have to see this Netflix documentary special on quarterbacks that involve Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariotta. I'm not particularly interested in those three people as personality types given what I've seen from them. I enjoy watching Mahomes play obviously, but him being interviewed, I can't say I know him very well, can't say that I know his personality very well.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Kirk Cousins, what I do know of his personality seems a bit rigid, quarterback careful, quarterback careful. Um, you know me, I'm a Tony Defender. I would say it's impossible for him to tell you you need to see something that hasn't come out yet. I've got the screener already, Billy, by the way. So I've seen what I've, what I'm talking about. Did you see the screener?
Starting point is 00:01:15 I, I have the screener. I've seen the screener. Okay, and I'm telling you, you say Kirk Cousins and the first thing you say is rigid. You are completely wrong. How much do I have to push you on this? I've seen the screener thing I've seen of it. I've seen of it. I have an email in my inbox that has access to said screen But I have coming out of my watch, but you haven't watch it. No, I've watched it. You can't recommend something
Starting point is 00:01:37 You haven't watched that's not true. Billy do that all the time. You can just say you haven't watching. No, no I've watched it which one did you want? You're something you should watch. It's, it's, what Billy? A cooking show with Selena Gomez on HBO Max. Now just Max, great show. So there's different episodes because there's different. No, let's stop for a second here, Tony. Let's, because it's becoming something that's so overt and obvious that I believe it's a human resources problem
Starting point is 00:02:01 that we have. You should stop volunteering HR so much before we actually get it. Well, because Billy is undercutting Tony at every turn, publicly and privately in a way that is starting to feel abusive. And before I even go down the path of what just happened here with the undercutting
Starting point is 00:02:21 on the documentary, earlier this week, I walked into a room where it defeated toney was mumbling to himself after a segment and he was trying to explain to somebody how the pressure had gotten to him and he stumbled through his top five nba observations and got a you taught players name wrong and also said of scoot hinderson he's a good guy was the analysis that he is he is a good guy you don't know that uh... but it was terrible analysis and it
Starting point is 00:02:50 was terrible prepared analysis if you're gonna have a top five uh... scoot Henderson being uh... being a good guy is not a good top five item from the NBA draft it was a bad uh... end to what a good observation was well you were rattled though because billy is actively not nothing to do with any of that i'd never really stated and david can and i think david would agree with me you can't say someone needs to watch something ever recommend something you've never seen unless your adnand
Starting point is 00:03:20 the point wasn't that the point is that t Tony very badly wanted to talk about this documentary special and you torpedoed him. You rolled a grenade into his testicles as soon as he started to talk. But we can literally wait a day for him to see it. He has it in his email. He hasn't seen it. What is he gonna tell us about it? The point is Billy Gill.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Okay. That from the trailer, if you would wait for 37 seconds and watch the trailer you would be in on it also My question is why Marcus Mariotta could we not get somebody different there that probably could have a starting job at some point? That's your question. That is a litany of questions, but you can ask when you haven't seen it Well, it's you guys haven't seen it so you're gonna But it's what questions could you ask me if you haven't seen it? If I may, like that, you may. They're showing like the quarterback experience from three tiers.
Starting point is 00:04:11 The very top, a person that we can't make our mind up about, and someone that would be considered, oh, last year, one of the worst starters in the league, who's trying to rebuild on a once promising career coming out of college. So that's probably what they're going for there probably the story arc on this is it would seem because hard knocks they all need to get you into the tent look we are living in a time right now were all of these sports teams have
Starting point is 00:04:38 realized that it and all of these leagues that if they can make and samson was ahead of the game on this he had the Marlins on Showtime. That show would have been so great if they had just been able to continue televising the truth, which everyone eventually got scared of, which is where some of these things are gonna be scrubbed. My Holmes is too large of an economy for that show to actually be honest. Whatever it is, you might get a glimpse, more of a glimpse than you're used to getting but you're not gonna get a real glimpse You're gonna get what cousins and my homes and Mario to want you to see Ma- my homes isn't that careful like you'll give you a quote like he is pretty
Starting point is 00:05:16 Erigan and he has a right to be like he I Can clean plenty from his personality does put himself out there plenty. He's about to do the match Yeah, but Mike are're gonna dive into the things that really bother him, right? The things that you see on the surface and you're like, oh, are we gonna ask him about his brother or do we have that release? Well, did they?
Starting point is 00:05:32 You tell us, you saw it. Oh, that's a way to see. The show's called Quarterback. Not Big Brother. It's a way to see, Dan. Hashtag way to see the thing that I'm saying to you, Micah, and I'm saying to the audience, in my experience, that doesn't mean it can't change with young people and streaming and just what content
Starting point is 00:05:49 becomes. But in my experience, that position is the most careful about the polishing of public things said and done more than any other position in sports because it's the only position where you're the face and voice for an entire sports Community when you're great at something whether it's cousins in Minnesota Even Marioda in Atlanta because of how football matters has that not changed recently We have big or may fields and and Cam Newton's and Lamar Jackson's and we're analyzing Twitter behavior and Twitter like all of whom aren't doing more jacksons and we're analyzing Twitter behavior and Twitter like all of whom aren't doing documentaries all of whom make their teams a little bit afraid of their general behavior
Starting point is 00:06:31 because it's young people setting a new market for what old people get to make decisions on now my homes is strong enough moms could actually do an honest thing moms has the power that he could do whatever he wants. But when Travis Kelsey tried to do a dating show and he reached shut that shit down, and Travis Kelsey had to go win titles and now he's got a podcast with his brother. But he did do the dating show.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Like he wanted to shut it down, but he did do it. He did it over the objections for one year of management because of how it made him look and tight ends are different than quarterback. Right Travis Kelsey does whatever the bleep he wants. Including hosting SNL. Like no one's telling Travis Kelsey what to do. Now Mike, that he wanted to do a second season
Starting point is 00:07:16 of that dating show, they convinced him otherwise, and he did it against their wishes. My larger point is, in my experience, those documentaries can't be honest. I'm not saying they can't give you glimpses of honesty, I'm saying that you're not going to get the kind, you might get more access than you're used to getting, but it's not gonna be the all-access
Starting point is 00:07:35 that I would want from something like that. It's staged. It's manufactured access, but isn't that what we always talk about, Dan, it's like hard knocks. Why is this so interesting for the first week and a half? Because, ooh, where it's football. We want to see what's happening inside the training cave.
Starting point is 00:07:47 We want to see people being their goofy selves. We have Kirk Cousins who is starch, right? I'm not going to say otherwise. He's a guy who, like Mike said, we're trying to figure out what he is. Is he a good quarterback? Is he somebody who's not going to get you over the hump? Like, who is this guy?
Starting point is 00:08:00 And then you see him at home. He's like, oh, he kind of starts there too. Tony, this is what I'm telling you about the selection of these three guys. And my homes can be the different one. But when I interviewed Mariota on Highly Questionable, I asked more questions of the sub that was next to him, the sandwich for Subway, that looked like Mariota. Then I did of Mariota because Mariota was giving me so little in that interview.
Starting point is 00:08:23 I was asking more questions about how much ham is in your nose there because the subway sandwich that was next to him was more interesting to me than whatever Mariotta was going to say as rehearsed prospect giving interview as what he thinks a quarterback is supposed to be. This is why we should ask Tony how it is. How is the show going to spoil it? That's the thing. You haven't seen it. I don't want to spoil it. But do you think that you're worried that he's not a good enough quarterback or a good enough personality, but he was asked because he was willing. I'm legitimately asking you guys
Starting point is 00:08:57 if this can be good. And I started with you. I don't trust Tony's judgment on these things. It's going to be good. It's football July guys. Come come on. It's gonna be good, but you've seen it. For you guys, it's gonna be good. I found out how many episodes are there. Eight. Hard knocks, Arizona, the Cardinals story during the season didn't catch on. Nobody was talking about during the season.
Starting point is 00:09:16 And there really is a football fixed part of this, where I want to get ready for football with a little hard knocks in August or in July. Oh, that guy's there. I didn't know that. You saw the problem that they're having with hard knocks proper. The preseason hard knocks that everybody knew and fell in love with is nobody wants to do it.
Starting point is 00:09:34 And they're seriously considering just running it back with the encampal in the lions. The jets should want to do it. But I can't get enough of what the reaction is in the huddle to our quarterback is in Denver promoting psychedelics. He knows speaker, Dan. And how would that land if he were merely black? I didn't say that. Come on, you know you wanted to. Wouldn't it be great if there were just a black quarterback out there?
Starting point is 00:09:59 I have a drug advocate for a quarterback that just had a pretty bad season by his standards. That's always in the news for the wrong reasons. And yet distraction doesn't really lap up upon his shores. Why is that? We heard more about the distraction that was Lamar Jackson than we heard about Aaron Rodgers. Now you're doing it. No, no, no, Dan. You want to do it.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I do want to do it. You know, you want to do what if Aaron Rodgers is on quarterback? Would that suck you in? Oh, for sure. For sure. Because you want to do it. What if Aaron Rogers is on quarterback? Would that suck you in? Oh for sure. For sure. Because you don't think it'd be staged? I think that this guy's so loose right now. Loosened up by psychedelics and mind alters.
Starting point is 00:10:35 I believe that he doesn't care right now how it is that he's being viewed because he's gone face first into the buzz saw of I'm going to be maximum myself as I head into midlife crisis age and I wonder about the worth of what I do for a living. I want to alter my mind so that I can have a better experience with the universe, a deeper experience with the universe. I want to see how cookie that story gets, don't you?
Starting point is 00:10:56 It would still be staged. He's not going to do a documentary. The NFL wouldn't allow it. Rodger could tell and the powers that he would not allow. You think the NFL is okay with him doing and leading a symposium on psychedelics? He's trying to raise money, give him a break. I would advocate on behalf of testing all of those boundaries
Starting point is 00:11:18 to alter your mind so that you can have spiritual and eternal peace. I would argue the same things that he's arguing. You know some people just want to get high. Have you eaten the chocolates? I have not. Have you thought about doing it? I have not.
Starting point is 00:11:30 I have not. I have never, the chocolates. I've eaten other chocolates. I don't mean to kick it. They don't have, eh. When I'm at a, when I'm at a festival, no one goes, hey, but this will really alter you spiritually. I make you find peace.
Starting point is 00:11:41 You're going to the wrong festivals. No, no, they're, they usually say, hey, want to get high? I'm you fine piece. You're going to the wrong festivals. No, no, they usually say, hey, wanna get high? I'm like, yep. Don't you think that Aaron Rogers, whether it's darkness retreats or elsewhere, is seeking some sort of higher meaning? No, I think he seeks you, people like you
Starting point is 00:11:57 and other people saying he's seeking higher meaning. So you just think he wants to get high. He's in a tension. He's in a tension, I think he wants attention. Some people just wanna get high. High on attention? He's think he wants attention. Some people just want to get high. High on attention. He's getting high on his own supply, which, as we all know, is against one of the 10 crack commandments.
Starting point is 00:12:13 It's a Frank Lopez scar face. Before that, Frank Lopez said, don't get high on your own supply with Michelle Fyfer long before that. Frank, I give you a beer.
Te atreves a ver. Dan Levatard. ¡Voy a la luna! Just Jack White doing Elvis and Dooe Cox. ¡Stu-Gats! ¡Sí, es de la little park! Harry Carey es mi eres. Just Jack White doing Elvis and Dewey Cox. Stoogats. She hits it out of the park. Harry Carey is who that is.
Starting point is 00:13:07 It's Wolf Harrel doing Harry and Elvis occasionally. Look out now. This is the Don LeBathar Show with this Stoogats. The latest report in Stoogats from Mike Florio of Prof. Paul Talk is that the jets are being forced to do hard knocks. The jets don't want to do hard knocks. They every year they have trouble. You've heard me say before that football is just a military school for millionaires.
Starting point is 00:13:42 They do not want you looking in the dark crevices of where the things are and we want to sneak a peek. Give us a little bit of access, something that looks like access. We'll watch all the shows if it looks like secret access that I'm not used to getting from the dark inner world of Bella check where he boils bodies in pursuit of profit and championships. We get close to it, we sniff it, nobody wants to do it. The jets don't want to do it. Please let the jets be the one that has to do it. There's a 33% chance, there's only three teams eligible
Starting point is 00:14:12 and the jets are one of them. I hope Floril. What are the other two teams do you know? Yes, but I can't tell you. I'm actually not allowed to, but there's a formula in terms of not having made, it involves a lot of losing. Really? And that's why the jets are eligible.
Starting point is 00:14:28 They're the best at that. Why are you not allowed? Because I don't have it off the top of my head. So you were unprepared for the question. You were check-mated by Stugots there. You didn't have a move. You're a real amateur. You don't understand.
Starting point is 00:14:42 You don't understand how crushing that should be to David Sampton thinks this is what's been funny to watch during the breaks as Stugots is looking at Samson and is really as he's watching the video play in the corner of Samson laughing at the idea of stealing Bob Ross's money In humble admiration that is not quite In humble admiration that is not quite genuinely reflecting because Stugat thinks himself the best of all the scammers. Thank you. He is looking at David and saying congratulations my friend.
Starting point is 00:15:13 You have arrived at a greater point of unlikable fraud, but you don't know how to make it charming the way that I did. I certainly don't have his giggle. And that's been currency around here. I am my cough. Well, you both have a cough now.
Starting point is 00:15:30 You both have a cough. I am, I am. You're in trouble, dear. I am surrounded by sickness and on what used to be a great Cody Tuesday, but he's on a cruise with his son. Oh boy. I'm sure metallurcs being expense for that too. They go, how about this?
Starting point is 00:15:47 I've gone on cruises with my parents, but everyone thinks that's weird in adulthood. Everyone has told me I'm weird for doing that. What about Chris Cody going with Greg Cody? I think it's nice that they're doing it, but every time I did it for the 50th anniversary of my parents, he has been got mad at me because I think I did it during the NBA finals.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Yeah, but Chris's parents are paying for him. You're paying for your parents. I mean, well that's different. Staking a free cruise, you know? I mean, who wouldn't take a free cruise? Anyone would take that. Unless you have to work and you can't take vacation.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Well, that particular week. Right. Well, but that's not our policy. No, but on top of that. It's unlimited. I mean, have you read the contracts? Indeed. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:24 That's why I'm going away again this weekend We got boulder shows We're making some changes to we are there's some changes brewing around here who's making them well I'm doing it by proxy and it's gonna involve vacation time Because I don't like it it actually throws me off not knowing who's coming when where I get a list of who's gonna be here Then they're not here and Charlotte was supposed to be here today and flights became a problem and Charlotte's not the problem No, no, I'm just saying in general We never know who's gonna be here any more than the audience knows who's going to be here every day
Starting point is 00:16:59 Because who can get here and it's harder to get to Miami and travel problems and systems are breaking and the airports are a nightmare. You have to take that into account. I left as early as I could someday in order to make sure I was here Monday. It was a terrible day of travel. It took forever. But I was ready to post Monday morning. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:17:16 And I love Charlottes. This is not about Charlotte. A mean did the same thing. A mean last time came in here in the middle of one of our segments in the middle. Because, oh, I missed my plane I couldn't get to it. I've had it It's enough. I'm here sitting here crushing, but you're here getting ready for the next vacation
Starting point is 00:17:33 Well, of course I am why not like where it's like what we're here like in between your vacation He's a new kind of ruts a Wilson mr. Unlimited. It's one of my stops on the tour This is the Stubz Unlimited dead tour. The only limit when he's dead, because he shouldn't be doing this at this rate at his age. But I'm looking good today, Dan. He's epidurals. He needs epidurals for how much he's mailing it in.
Starting point is 00:18:00 You know, part of the problem with this and we're joking about it is, like, for the people that follow the rules We're gonna be the ones to get screwed because like now. I'm like well. What may I been working today? Let me just take vacation Guess who else is thinking that AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA is real. That is heard from the depths of my soul. How has everybody but me on vacation? I'm about to take my seconds. I would like to alert everyone who can hear me now that he's not acting.
Starting point is 00:18:55 This is something that I wanna help you with, Dan. I wanna help you take some time off. Except it's hard for you too, because it's possible that we come to do a live show. And there'd be no one here. It would have been Tony, if I hadn't shown up one day last week, it would have been four hours of just Tony talking.
Starting point is 00:19:11 I was here. I was here. Nobody wants that. I know. Well, you make that. I don't know. If you have a may hang out big to differ. That's not fair.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Four hours of just Tony talking. Nobody wants it. I have a lot of things to say, Dan. I've got a lot of things to say. Nobody wants it I said anybody I don't want to hear anybody talking for all three hours if I did I just listen to Colin coward Stubbing got into his thoughts on air travel today Dan. I got my top five of things. You don't want to get me started on I regret deeply your last top five You had three days to work on it. I regret deeply that I will not go to that list without editing it first. I will not, I don't trust. I'll because of scoot. I'll check. It's work. This I'm going to get this out and open
Starting point is 00:19:52 to because if you have fewer and fewer people here because Tony's not one of them. Tony's here every day. Even when he does not want to do your Tony's here. Tony likes to work. Tony likes to be on microphone. Tony's not afraid of working. Tony likes vacation less than the rest of you. I'm here on the run. But he says he's here to work. That top five list I got with three days of prep. He went on vacation to find God.
Starting point is 00:20:19 That was only a week and he put his own work. And only God took him away from the show. That top five five I will not air that without getting to look at it because I don't trust you. I don't trust your judgment. That's okay. We learn the hard way up here. This is fine. Are you sure? It won't get anyone in trouble. I mean, I'm not worried about trouble for five. I'm not worried. No, I'm not worried about getting anybody in trouble. I'm worried about number three being scoot is a good guy. That was a bad dismount, Dan.
Starting point is 00:20:49 That's what happened there. I just got caught up in this. You can't have three days to come up with NBA content in a top five list. It's three day old draft content. It's got to be better than anything anyone is getting anywhere. It can't be, I think, scoot's going to be good. Dan, I gave you keeping here on the jazz. What happened?
Starting point is 00:21:06 25 minutes later, they made a trade for John Kyle's. I learned the gay was still a week. What are you listening? Tony, the word of advice on this, the Scoot thing done. No more. Let it go. The jazz was good. Let him look at this top five. Let him like it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:23 And then do it. And then you'll earn it back. Don't fight this. Don't forget about scoot or forget about scoot. Well, Dan, do you trust Billy's judgment enough? Because Billy's saying it's fine. It's good. I'm a dog.
Starting point is 00:21:34 I'm a dog. Do I trust Billy's judgment on whether or not Tony is going to be supported by Billy? I trust Billy Blightwood. So that Tony can climb in his career on the show with microphones working every day to a plower position that allows him to have the microphone as much as Billy
Starting point is 00:21:55 and Billy undercuts him and every time. I will say this though, if I trust Billy with that. So I trust Billy with Tony's career and care is what you're asking me. I'm not in charge of his career, it's his problem. This is what I would say to you. I'm in a different seat today, so if Tony makes problems, they become my problems.
Starting point is 00:22:11 So I'm not necessarily trying. Every once problems are your problems. For today, yeah. So I'm not going to be encouraging problems. I'm not making any problems. I'm just giving you a list that don't get me started on. That's all it is. It's not really a top five.
Starting point is 00:22:22 It's more of a things that don't get me started on. Okay, well, I'm not going to get you started on good because I want to get some asking for it on his jets being on hard knocks. I don't want the jets on hard knocks. I don't I don't want it, Dan. It's like, you know, they're the popular team. They're the in thing. I don't want there, you know, I don't want the team to be distracted. We have something good going on in New York and hard knocks and all those cameras around you know what they are They're distractions. I don't want my players looking into cameras I want their eye on the prize and that is the Vittsland Barney trophy and now you finally have a good team
Starting point is 00:22:57 Finally we have a good team Finally we have an interesting team. I do not need to see what's going on every single week on HBO at Jetstraining kit. I don't want it. I don't want to see it. I don't want the Jetstra participated it yet. It seems like the jets are going to be that team because they made the biggest splash move in the off season and people want to see how that unfolds. So David, did you find the show time show to actually be a distraction for on the field plan results or is it just an excuse?
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah, it was a great excuse, but no the players He did they hate it they hated players hate it. Yeah, well, but you're a 33% chance Some players really they would pretend someone they would act it up for the show. Yeah, because they were on camera Yeah, but I want the chance to focus on being good not producing a good Television there's no correlation the jets are focus on being good, not producing a good telephysiation. There's no correlation. The jets are not going to be good, not because of our knocks.
Starting point is 00:23:50 What you're getting, you should be thankful for our knocks, you're getting an excuse when they're not good. The jets have been trying to be good forever, and they haven't been good, so they might as well try not to be good and try to play for the camera, and then maybe it'll work out. They did that by getting a quarterback.
Starting point is 00:24:01 They don't need a TV show. A quarterback who loves the camera. Yes. This is maddening to me while pretending not to Stugots has worked in entertainment all his life and is actively on his favorite team saying no Please give give me less entertainment less expectations less content less access keep me dumb I don't want to be smarter about my team. I don't want to see more. Just please don't distract sauce. I mean, it is an ass and I can take by you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:24:33 Don Lebatard. We all know the word Celeste, or? Yeah. You know how I know it's a hit? Roy, Roy, you absolutely know all the words. I like into pieces. Then it's generic. You're lying. No, you're lying. I'm having that. Absolutely know all the words In to
Starting point is 00:24:52 Is Roy going to get the first ever attack from the chickens are you all? Still got That's my life, it's all pieces! This is my last resort! Some patients! No, we don't give a f- We're gonna come on! We'll be there! No, no, was it 46 Taylor Swift references, a local sports anchor. So this is one of these tiny three or four minutes slots on local television. The barely exist anymore because of how local news is caving in.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Four or five minutes was it 46 references? This dude is my hero. Yeah, 46 Taylor Swift songs in about three and a half minutes. It's unbelievable. Do you guys think, because I was thinking about this yesterday, because my daughter's too, like, likes Taylor Swift and says Taylor Swift somehow knows her music, and I was thinking, Taylor Swift with as big as she is,
Starting point is 00:26:00 is she going to, she's not gonna age to the point of Super Saturday status, right? Like she's like rolling stone Saturday. Yeah, like where you have like an older, yeah, like you have an older act that has like a small duo. You think Taylor Swift is gonna have to find it out on the hustle game? I don't think that she is, that's what I'm asking.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Do you guys think she's going to age more like the rolling stones where she is selling out stadiums or arenas forever? She's not gonna get to the point with think she's going to age more like the Rolling Stones where she is selling out stadiums or arenas forever? She's not gonna get to the point with where she's at that she's like an act after a game. She'll be Barbara Streisand She's not gonna keep doing tours like this. It's too much. You can't you can't play every night the way she plays for three hours plus When you're in your 70s. No, so she'll eventually just do a show at a time. My Jagger's still touring He's still doing it in his 80s. But no, that's, that is the rarity.
Starting point is 00:26:47 That is a huge exception. Not to be the widest guy in the room as always, but she'll be Carol King. You know, she'll play songs at a piano, she'll sit down, she'll play ballads. It'll be beautiful, but three and a half hours for an hour. She's not going to be Carol King because you said Carol King in two thirds of the room said,
Starting point is 00:27:01 who? And that's not going to be Taylor Swift. You've never sounded older. Taylor Swift. You've never sounded older. Taylor Swift is popular beyond all reason and measure with a generation that's going to still love her 20 and 30 years from now. She will be able to make money however it is that she pleases, and it will not be with the slumming sewage of super Saturdays.
Starting point is 00:27:21 More money than you can make in your wildest dreams. Did you go to the era's concert? No. Are you going to? No. Why? Not his style. Just don't know the music done. What do you mean why? You can't go if you don't know the music. I was told you have to know every word of every song. And then you have to be willing to spend five grand the ticket. It is the hottest ticket in history. I think entertainment history. I think it's the hardest in selling out stadiums. This is not, I don't even understand why you just did super Saturdays.
Starting point is 00:27:51 This is in the history of people paying to see things. You never know how one's career goes. No, okay, but let me just, let me just examine that question. One day you're on top, the next day. You're doing super Saturday. Okay, I didn't think. Did he do a super Saturday? I just saw Geter sitting next day, Rod. It happens.
Starting point is 00:28:10 It's Geter. Like one of the things we didn't mention about all the things that happened over the weekend and A-Rod and Geter sitting on a set together. A-Rod learned from the queens on how to age. Madonna and JLo, how to properly age, how to protect your brand through keeping your face together, smiling maniacally next to Arod.
Starting point is 00:28:41 He learned next to, what are you looking at me like? Madonna. Yeah, she dated Madonna for, yes. Oh, what are you looking at me like, time? Yeah, she dated Madonna for, yes. Oh, I thought you meant Madonna's aged gracefully. You mean, she, well, she, across decades, she gets to say that A-Rod has aged better than that. That's what he's saying. She is gracefully for a while.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Okay, I think the interesting thing is that is like, what is A-Rod's actual brand? You know what I mean? That's to make this another A-Rod segment where you said, like, he learned how to protect his brand, like Madonna, but what is A is a rod's brand? He's just a rod. It is teeth. Yeah. Lot of teeth. And it's and it's a rod. Well, it's that too. Like I is it? Well, still got is it fraud Billy Corbin. Okay. Here Billy Corbin's documentary screwball. It's exceptional. I suggest that you check it out. One of the things that A. Rod did
Starting point is 00:29:26 while knowing he used steroids is went to a sham fraud meeting with the commissioner and angrily kicked over a briefcase in a meeting room because everyone knew he used steroids and he needed to put on a show to get a few extra games. It was cartoonishly laughable fraud. So yes, fraud in the many ways that you would describe the had he played on the honest with you.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Kicking the briefcase of the had he played. And then show somebody your man went on in the court, and we'll find the fraud in anyone. I mean, it's true. Put it on the poll at Levitard show. Will Corbin find the fraud in everyone, but Taylor Swift in the history of people spending dollars to see things. This is the hardest ticket you will ever see impossible to get. Not only impossible to get, but ticket master now,
Starting point is 00:30:14 like after all of the stuff that's happened with the government, I went on to go buy tickets for a different concert. All the taxes have changed. All it's telling you that tickets are a tax right off in certain ways now. Like all because of that Taylor Swift ticket demand, have changed all it's telling you that tickets are attacks right off in certain ways now like all because of that Taylor Swift ticket demand everything has changed it's really crazy tickets are not a write-off Jeremy what's it say about that shows game changer forced to guys happy he's been the entire time are right off So you were about boss Ross.
Starting point is 00:30:46 He's happy about that. Then I was about the possibility of thinking about it. Surrounded by off-rock. It's a different kind of awful. This Tuesday, then it usually is, but it's the Tuesday theme of Greg Cody in spirit. It's a different kind of awful. Yes, you are trying to outawful one another. The both of you. I actually never gives two thought when I'm saying what I think. And
Starting point is 00:31:09 he was definitely not thinking about me. No, you just think of like that. That's always like, wait a minute. I've got this now. I never give. He used to not believe what he said because he didn't know the difference. Now takes Jeremy for tax advice it's like taking cap advice from a podcast of us that we can figure out the cap stew is going to actually make tax decisions based on what Jeremy said i know taxes all too well any way that uh... still gots can find as well well it way to rationalizing that he has gotten something discounted still gots this is what i've noticed about, for example, the vacation policy.
Starting point is 00:31:48 There is really no way to scam it. It's unlimited, but he's got to try and get away. If Stugat isn't working a griff, he's not happy. Like he doesn't even need to griff. Life is boring without a griff, I mean. It's, he's got to run a scam. Let me turn in this receipt over here for something I bought at the vending machine
Starting point is 00:32:08 just to say I got away with I got these $7 from the company while I was on vacation because I did a video that seemed like I was under hostage crisis from my room. To expense the Super Bowl still, I just remembered. Oh, wow, really. And Austin. What? Two years ago. To expense the Super Bowl still I just remembered. Oh, wow really and Austin What? Two years ago was birds weren't cheap man. Are you like Brent Cody where you just don't want to deal with the hassle of
Starting point is 00:32:34 Expenses, I mean yeah, it's not that I don't want to deal with the hassle It's that I know when we first get back like let me get everything settled Let me unpack let me do all of that stuff stuff. And then things don't stop here. One thing leads to another, we're on a treadmill, and then it's like, oh my God, Austin was two years ago. Who's gonna pay for those scooters that we used instead of boopers? We'll use the shit out of those scooters.
Starting point is 00:32:54 They haven't been dispensed yet. The way they move. They've expired then. The scooters? No, no. Can they expire? No, never. That's a policy that we're starting here.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Well, it hasn't started yet. You submit, if you submit your services. It's not writing yet never. That's a policy that we're starting here. Well, it hasn't started yet. If you submit, if you submit your writing, that's right. That's right. 45 days past the date that you incurred those expenses, they are not eligible for reimbursement. Absolutely. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:33:15 You imagine trying to do that? I mean, it just sounds like you're saying a lot of words that they're not really listening to. Oh, they'll listen. But it just sounds like the disclaimer at the end of the ukulele ad where they're saying that your penis is going to fall off. Like, we're a contacted doctor. If you have the right to ask you.
Starting point is 00:33:32 You are just the eye-agreed button that they hit to make a disscroll past all the aggregate that is contract terms. You're a podcaster. Yeah, what did you try to say? You're like, how are you going to approve and like? No, if I want to submit after 45 days, I will what are you talking about? I'm not gonna have an ex-Tahoe trade. I got to put it He's got an upcoming Tahoe vacation
Starting point is 00:33:58 No, he doesn't oh I know. Yeah, oh because of dead shows or this is separate. No, that's work Oh, that's a Tahoe vacation is actual vacation. No, there won't be expenses. Oh, Tahoe is work. Yes, I'm working there. But so was the dead. Yeah, you want to come Tahoe? I'm not a no Except I've worked to do Someone's got to be here doing shows. Yeah, that would be me. That's why I can't go on vacation. We keep coming back You gotta fix that, man Not acting you're missing out. Stop it. You're making it worse. Best I've felt in years, Dan. My offer you one of my nonused issues. How about
Starting point is 00:34:43 me and you, dead show San Francisco? That's my next vacation after Boulder, Colorado. Oh, the gorge. I left out the gorge in Washington. I'm having a month. You ask hours ago about wrangling him. The way he gets away with it is that when we record things, it's on zoom. So he just takes a microphone everywhere he goes. So anytime he pops on, it's a different city, a different straight.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I have no idea where he is, how he got there when he's coming back, but he ends up being there. So in terms of his recordings, he's always there on time. It's just, I don't know where he is. Right. It's going to be harder to do that going forward when there's set schedules, when there's networks involved, and it's going to be harder. And I'm going to try to help you, Stu, try to make you understand when it's networks involved and it's gonna be harder. And I'm gonna try to help you, Stu,
Starting point is 00:35:25 try to make you understand when it's best to do the vacations in order to make sure that we're all on the same page. I think that's important. How about I do what I wanna do? That's perfect. Wait, go. All right, we're off to a good start. Sounds like you guys might have some bad blood.
Starting point is 00:35:42 It doesn't seem like things are improving around here. You just say what you're going to do as a cultured changer, and they just laugh in your face. It's not they. It's stew. But empowered by the company. It's not everyone here tolerates. I mean, Billy's life has been turned into upside down chaos.
Starting point is 00:36:03 He's got a toddler, and Stu gots his harder to manage. More fatiguing, I got to imagine. That's true. You also get less help with Stu than you do with your toddler, I imagine. That's our company trying to help. That's it. And fail it.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Don't answer that, Billy. I like a conductor right now. Billy, don't answer that, Stu. You're more like right now. Billy, don't answer that, Stu. You're more like a turning in for vacation. You're like a turning in. What are you doing? Are you gonna get a hold of this, or are you not? Is Stu got's gonna be here tomorrow or not?
Starting point is 00:36:34 Is he my boss? He is gonna be here tomorrow, and we are gonna make some magic tomorrow. All right, we'll see. I have expectations. I like when we make magic together. So do I. I'll let you know if I'll be here for it though.
Starting point is 00:36:49 I'm asking you nicely. Might be a Zoom day, bolder's for. I think it's better when we're in person. We'll see. One of the things I wanted to get to, come to bolder, because everyone else is on vacations. I wanted to see shaky graves at Red Rocks where I was told
Starting point is 00:37:07 Oh, it just simply hailed on people the entire time Because you're in a canyon and those are dangerous. Yeah, did you see pictures of the people? Yeah, they had well I've pelted they got pelted by rocks from the rocks bit from the sky. Yes, it's a horror Who are they gonna sue? You're gonna to find someone to sue who should they sue God. I'll call such a great venue red rocks. You don't feel those things when you're taking mushrooms. Put it on the pole, please. Can you feel you in the skull when you are on my shoes.
