This is the Dan Levitar show with the Stucats podcast.
We'll get to Lucy Rodin in a second.
Again, if you were not listening earlier in the show,
I think we kind of skipped past this a little bit.
Local radio icon, host of the Zazzo Show 2.0.
Zazlo Show 2.0.
With Greg Cody.
The Zazlo Show 2.0 with Greg Cody.
No, the.
Zaslo Show 2.0.
It's a disappointment if the Miami Hurricanes are not undefeated, which means that Mario Cristobal has already done his job.
I don't think that Zaslo has said that on his own show, just like that, where Mario Cristobal has already succeeded.
I feel like hasn't that been the case?
Even the years they weren't back, you're still expected to beat these type of teams?
Not undefeated, though.
No, but I think Dan's right in the way that he phrased that.
Yeah, Mario Cristobal has done the job if they are in a place where I'm kind of.
confidently telling you it's a disappointment
if they don't finish, not going
into the year, but at this point if they don't
finish the year undefeated.
I'm a senior title to this point if they don't win the national
championship. Get to the playoffs. You're in the playoffs.
Hey, hang with him. Let's see what happens.
But yeah, I think you're right in the way you say that. And the thing
that he is saying there that I don't think should
just be skipped over is
I mean, guys, this is pretty hard, right?
You start with, we were
excited with Billy Gill's FIU team
that now suddenly it's top moment
before last night of the season, being
down only 10-0 in Penn State means nothing because that'll get you fired three games later.
How dare you, sir? They won the Shulah Bull. In retrospect, though, game at Happy Valley was disappointed.
FIU's strength of schedule diminished by what has happened to James Franklin the last three years.
Zaslow is telling you that after winning the state of Florida, and now Zaslo, he's going to be in South Bend this weekend.
Zaslo's a car. Zaslo's not just gas bagging. He's watching all these teams and he has opinions on how they look.
And what he's telling you is the way Miami looks, size and speed on defense, violence on defense, discipline, offense that can beat you multiple ways.
You want a 16-play dry at the start of the third quarter, Notre Dame?
How about one of those?
Oh, big plays, FSU, okay, they'll beat you that way.
In a diluted college football, Zazel is telling you he expects the hurricanes to go undefeated.
That means Mario Cristobal has improved every year that he's been in charge.
there's only one other team doing it
the way the Keynes are doing it this season.
Ohio State. That's it.
I agree. These are the only two teams
that you could look at. I'd say Texas Tech.
Yeah, we'll see.
Interesting test. Leavitt's going to be playing for Arizona State.
At Arizona State will be an interesting test.
Levitts is right here.
Lucy's going to join us in a moment.
Do you guys have any opinions
about the fact that I think Zaslo making an official
has raised the expectation?
to a place that I have not heard anybody in Miami say that Mario Cristobal has already succeeded.
I haven't heard it from anybody.
I think we figured it out together.
We talked it out.
Yeah, like any of these games, okay, Louisville, Stanford, SMU, Syracuse, NC State, Virginia, Tech, Pitt.
If the Keynes lose any of those games, wouldn't your reaction be right after the game ends?
Wow, that was really disappointing.
Sure.
Then here we are.
It would be really disappointing if they don't go undefeated.
I don't think, for me, there's not a huge difference between 12 and 0 and 11 and 1.
If anything, this is a season where one loss, maybe even two losses, get you in the playoffs.
I think U.M.
One loss, so you won the A.C. championship then?
You have to win the ACC championship, for me.
UM has to win the ACC championship and get in the playoffs and at least win one game in the playoffs to call this a success.
That's my, that's my parameter.
I mean, it would be disappointing if they had a buy.
okay, and they lose in the quarterfinal at one of the bowl games, because remember, they wouldn't have a home game there.
I guess that would be disappointing, but if you win the ACC championship and you make the playoffs of the very first time ever as a school,
I'm not going to sit here and say it was disappointing.
I think it is.
I think when the playoffs expanded from four teams to 12 and starting off this season the way they have and being number two,
if you don't get in and win a playoff game, you look back and say, we underachieve.
I mean, you're going to play another top 10 team in the quarter final.
You lose a neutral-site bowl game to a top 10 team.
Yeah, I can't sit here and say that that's disappointing then.
All right.
So Lucy's going to join us now.
She's bouncing around all over the country following all sorts of college football teams,
but with a specific bias, too many Iowa ones, I would say.
Find her at too many Iowa games.
I feel she's grifting off the expense account, but just going home and partying and just
enjoying her time in Iowa because she wants to spend time in Iowa.
It's not the epicenter of the college football universe.
don't understand why you're there so often, but Penn State being around Iowa is fun this week
because James Franklin is fired. I was curious your thoughts on, I believe, a whole new standard
of how we're measuring college football coaches now. Okay, first, let me just say when we plan
off-roading, we plan it months and months and months in advance, and sometimes sponsors have
saying where we go, sometimes they don't. Sometimes things just work out.
in certain ways that we are going to Iowa Penn State this week.
That was, whoops, but I think it's fun to be at James Franklin's first not game there.
So yes, we are going back to Iowa, and I do think you're right.
We do spend too much time there.
Rose would definitely agree.
But when it comes to James Franklin and sort of this, you know, decision to fire him,
which is objectively crazy.
Like, I totally understand the decision to fire him.
This was probably something they've wanted to do for a long time,
just given sort of the kind of.
of cloud over Penn State football with Can't Win this big game. But with the context of three
weeks ago, they were two overtimes away from, you know, beating Oregon being this, this top five
team to now, okay, you don't have a head coach. I think it just shows how intense things are
in college football. And what I think this is really interesting outside of the Penn State
scope is if you're Luke Fickle at Wisconsin, okay, this is just going to move a lot faster. If you're
Hugh Fries at Auburn, this is going to move a lot faster because if Penn State was willing to
to take that $56 million buyout, which is closer to 50, whatever, and be like, you know what,
we're done, we're ready to spend it now.
I think that's going to put a lot more pressure on other schools to do it, which is interesting
because we're in a year where I don't know if we've ever seen this many coaches fired at
this point in the season, just week seven and so many powerful jobs are open, several group
of five jobs are open.
I just think that the standard for like giving a little grace is pretty much gone, even though
I do think like Luke Fickle should be gone. Hugh Fries should be gone. Billy Napier should be gone.
Why is it crazy that they fired him? Well, I think just like sort of the context of, okay,
three weeks ago you were a top five team. I think the timing is what is crazy about it.
And also like, I like to make a lot of fun of James Franklin. You guys know this. It's funny that
he can't win the big game. We know that. However, when you're looking at James Franklin objectively
from a college football standpoint, who is better that Penn State is going to get? That is what
I think is so crazy is like I would assume they have to have somebody in mind to be willing to make
that giant cut to pay that giant jack because like he he's winning 10 games every year obviously
things change with UCLA and Northwestern and whatnot but like I don't know who they get that's
better than that because I don't think Kurt Signetti is leaving Indiana for that job. Yeah I think
you're right obviously just a few weeks ago they were ranked number two I think that's even more
reason why you fire him a few weeks ago they were ranked number two and then they lost to Ohio State
UCLA and Northwestern.
Yeah, I just, I think it's the two weeks is such a long time, or such a short time,
excuse me, to like make a decision that brash where, okay, so two weeks ago,
you had no idea that James Franklin, none of us would have ever assumed James Franklin would
not have a job two weeks from now.
So you make that giant, you make that giant decision.
I understand the decision.
You have to have somebody else in place if you're willing to spend $50 million to get rid of
James Franklin.
He wins 10 games a season.
You have to have somebody who you think is better than that.
Is that Matt rule? I don't think so. Is Kurt Signetti leaving for that job? I don't think so. Is that many Diaz? I don't think so. That is what is confusing to me is to make a decision that is that expensive, that is that quick. And you have to have somebody in place already, and I don't know who that would be. I know how terrible his record is. It's epically historically terrible in big games. But he has won two of the last four big games that we would have assigned as big games. Right. Northwestern and UCLA,
don't get to be big games just because he lost them.
Like, he lost the Oregon game, but he won playoff games last year.
So can you get a coach better than winning two of his last four big games if we're going
to do this as dumb as you've got to win big games?
And that's it.
See, that's what I think.
So, like, I think Penn State is in a unique position because there are still members of
their fan base that were alive when they were winning national championships.
Lots of schools cannot say that.
So the standard at Penn State is just a little bit higher.
The playoff thing is interesting because, like, a lot of people.
people will say that Penn State had the easiest run in the playoffs, which, like, I do agree with.
But I think it's the fact that, like, he was losing the big games.
We all know that is something he has done, but he had never lost the small games until UCLA Northwestern.
And you say it might be the greatest football team in the world now.
We're not quite sure on that one, so that could end up being a great loss.
Wait, what do you do with that?
What do you do with Deshaun Foster going 0 and 4 with the UCLA team that then turns around and beats Penn State and then smokes Michigan State?
I saw someone tweet.
I wish I could remember who it was because I want to give them credit.
And they were like, were they just not practicing?
Like, it really doesn't make any sense because, like, they have looked like a great football team.
Like, truly, and it's weird because Foster was a guy that, like, players loved.
Like, he was a players coach.
People talked about him in that manner.
And so, like, truly, it doesn't make any sense to me.
And I think it's honestly hilarious and really, really funny.
Can we get some good information out of you on Indiana winning a game at Oregon?
at Oregon had won 23 straight regular season games, 18 in a row at home, and on the spot.
I know many people in college football have known about this, but on the spot, because this makes this the most
the most interesting Indiana team of my lifetime, including the Pennix one, that Signetti is one of
the top coaches. If you didn't know it before, you knew it this weekend, bouncing out of college football
when we're making the professional sports standard. Now, James Franklin, you're fired.
Who's the next hot guy we can get in here?
Yeah, so I don't foresee Kurt Signetti leaving for the Penn State job.
I don't really foresee him leaving for any job right now.
I think he's one more good season away from them naming the stadium after him.
Like, he has everything he could want in Indiana, and he's signed like a super long,
he signed a pretty long extension last season.
Like, I think he'll be there for a long time.
I think we all just need to sit down and collectively tell ourselves, like, hey, Indiana is,
they are not a playoff team.
They are a national championship caliber team.
because that Oregon game, although the score, I mean, 10 point win, 30 to 20,
outside of like one big sort of like breakdown in the defense and a pig sakes from
Mendoza, Oregon did nothing.
Like, take those two plays out, it would have been 30 to six.
Indiana was dominant in that game.
They were a very good football team, and you could say that they have less talent than Oregon,
and I think that's fair that they do.
And it still didn't make any sort of difference in how good they are.
When it comes to Kurt Signetti, I mean, just listen to what he says.
Google him.
Like he wins. He wins everywhere he goes.
Oh, but this, yeah, but it's not just that, though.
I'm not sure that anybody would say that his players are very vaunted, like whatever the rankings are.
Composite talent rankings have them as like the 72nd most talented team in the nation.
So when I'm saying, guys, no joke, Indiana football has never been this good, has no right to be this good.
Penix was great for them, but this is the best Indiana team there has ever been.
Indiana has always been terrible at football until like the last five years of sometimes they'll give you offense.
But going into Oregon, there's never been an Indiana team that can do that.
No, they're outmatch when it comes to talent and there's more to it when it comes to winning football games.
That being said, especially when we look at what's happened at Penn State.
Got my eye on Dan Lannning, one of these media darlings, do something, okay?
Do something to deserve how people view you.
Win the big ones.
Not only win the big one, Mike, but hey, these two teams, Penn State came back on you late,
and Indiana ground you to dust late in Nike Stadium.
What happened to that team?
Embarrassing.
Dan Lanning just catches break after break after break.
But he took his shirt off on game day.
That's what it is.
He's just five.
We all like Dan Lanning.
Quite the tattoos for Lans.
Yeah, on the stomach.
Yeah, crazy tat.

Hey, audience, I got a special treat for you because I want to talk to you about Miller
Light, but I want to talk to you about Miller Light with my good friend, Rose.
Hey, Rose!
Hi, everybody!
When we hang out and we hang out often, we're friends, I consider us friends.
Yeah, me too.
We're often toasting the good times, and what am I toasting with?
With Miller Light!
That's right, Miller Light.
Whether you're hanging out with your dear friend Rose
or at game day, it just hits different
when you got a Miller Light in your hand.
From jaw-dropping touchdowns to fantasy heartbreaks,
it's a beer that has been there for every moment.
50 years of great taste, simple ingredients,
and that iconic golden color that you can spot across the room.
And it's just not the color of the beer, which is brilliant.
That beautiful white can.
How beautiful is that?
Is that you doing the sound of a can opening?
Is that your favorite sound?
Oh, no. It is a horsey.
A horsey?
All right, we'll stop doing that.
And here's a kicker.
Miller Light is just nice.
96 calories, 3.2 carbs per 12 ounces, the original light beer since
1975.
That's right.
And still hitting different five decades later.
You're so good at this, Rose.
I know.
So whatever your game day looks like, remember, Miller time is always a good time.
Look at us.
We're a great tag team.
I know.
Can you do that, that beer sound one more time?
And the horse sound one more time?
I regret asking you about that one, but the Miller Light sound is good.
Miller Light, great taste, 96 calories.
Go to Miller Lite.com slash Jan to find delivery options near you, or you.

It's Miller.

Oh, says.
No, it says.
Oh, Sess.
Don Lebertard.
He seems like a not nice guy, and he's always been a not nice guy.
I don't care for him.
And I hope he has the day he deserves.
Oh, wow.
Stugats.
I hope he has.
He has the day he deserves.
That's how I get people when they're really mean to me.
I'm not like, go F yourself.
I'm like, I hope you have the day you deserve.
It's a great kind.
It's a great kind insult.
Yes.
It's beautiful.
It's leaving it to the cosmos to sort it out.
That's a less southern bless your heart.
This is the Dan Levitar show with the Stugats.
who are the hot seat coaches who else after franklin oh well so luke fickle they they lost to
iowa 37 nothing that's whoa that's really really not good that's the first time wisconsin
has been shut out at home since 1980 um and you're giving up 37 points to iowa that's not ideal i think
his time is done i mean wisconsin is a football team that that is just sort of fascinating to me in
the way that they've fallen apart.
Billy Napier feels like that's like a few weeks away,
if not in a shorter amount of time.
I'm not quite sure what's even taken it so long.
And then my experience watching Auburn football this weekend in person
was life-changing in the worst way.
Hugh Freeze has got to go.
It's got to be over.
Life-changing.
We'll play the video now on her way out,
and we'll get an internet minute from her as well.
But first, let's play the Lucy video here
because you did not enjoy Auburn is what you're telling us.
I loved Auburn.
Auburn is one of my favorite places we've ever gone.
That lemonade was awesome.
The people were the most ridiculously friendly people we've ever met.
That football was insane to watch.
It was like, I felt years of my life slip away, just in the final two minutes of the first half.
Let's throw it to that video.
These girls were selling lucky rocks for a dollar.
And absolutely, if you're selling a lucky rock for a dollar, I'm going to buy it.
And they gave me this rock, which has stuff all over it.
all over my hands. And they clearly just picked it up from there. And they're just selling rocks
that they found. And I paid for one. Capitalism, alive and well, even with poor rules.
Hi, Dan. We are here in beautiful Auburn, Alabama, home of lemonade and toilet paper. This has been
a delightful experience. Beautiful campus, the friendliest fans we have ever met, and it makes me
sad that their football is trying to kill them. They deserve a lot better because they're
kind, wonderful people with a cool campus and truly phenomenal lemonade. Today is my first
Auburn game ever. Do you have any advice for me? Enjoy it. Yell a lot. Get excited, but don't get
your hopes up too much. That is the most Auburn explanation you could have ever gotten in your
life. And if you've ever been around Georgia fans, don't get too close because they might bite.
Mark, do you have advice for me? I think you should try that you
call. I was born to Auburn Tiger. I grew up in that stadium. My whole family are
Auburn alumni and I have family that are scholar donors here and I'm going to the game
today and it's just in my heart and I can't get rid of the passion. Can y'all explain to me the
deal with your outfits? Associate members at an eternity right now so. So do you have to wear this
to your all the games all year? Technically whenever our associate membership is done we have to wear
They just want us to look really good for all the games, you know?
I like your outfits.
I think you guys look wonderful.
Down here, it's dressed to impress.
Your game day outfits are planned with a PowerPoint
before the season starts.
Do not wear knee-high boots ever again.
This is not okay.
Pick something comfortable.
How would you describe the last, like,
10 years or so of rooting for Auburn?
Definitely up and down.
A lot of losing, not a lot of winning.
Do you guys speak to professionals about it just to like
make sure we're doing good mentally or do we just ride the wave?
Not, you gotta ride it, you got it.
I was like crashing out, not last week,
because we had a five week, thank goodness.
Thank God.
A lot of anxiety, a lot of stress.
My heart rate is up the entire time.
I just have learned to roll with it.
I'm just, I'm here, I'm here for a good time, not a long time.
Do you think this is Hugh Freeze's last year here at Auburn?
I hope not, maybe they can stay a little, stay a little down.
So that it's better for Georgia.
I wish it was his last year?
Last year here, who says yes, raise your hands?
Hugh Freeze is staying this year, raise your hands, or next year.
He'll still be the head coach.
Okay, hell yeah, let's keep the vibe going.
If he puts the same thing he's put on the field throughout his tenure here so far,
it's probably all she wrote with Coach Freeze.
Does he golf too much?
When he lost to Texas A&M, it really didn't seem like he was fully kind of bawled into what it takes,
which is, hey, you might not have time to go out and golf during the summer.
He golf so much.
They raise our tuition every year, so honestly,
they might be for his buyout, I don't know.
Do you, yeah, do you guys think they are specifically
raising your tuition because Auburn has so many buyouts,
they have to pay all the time?
No doubt in my mind.
How do you feel about them saying War Eagle
when their mascot's a tiger?
Yeah, see, I don't really get the whole two mascot
kind of thing.
I mean, it's just a motto.
But you yell about Eagles.
A professor in the early days of Auburn
that served in the Civil War.
He saved an eagle that got knocked out of its nest when it was just a baby.
What ended up happening is he raised it.
It obviously didn't know how to fly because he got knocked out of its nest.
So it was called the War Eagle because it came from the Civil War.
And then with the first time they played Georgia, tied game at halftime, the eagle gets up off of the shoulder, flies around.
And everyone's like, War Eagle, like yelling War Eagle, so pointing at it.
The eagle went, hit the ground, and died on impact.
But Auburn, Auburn won the game.
Would you guys refer to, like, the way you say war?
War Eagle is like kind of like aloha?
Like...
Sure.
You just got a big win.
How would you say War Eagle?
War Eagle!
War Eagle, baby.
War Damn Eagle.
War Eagle!
You are going to the dentist.
You just found out that you have five cavities.
How are you saying War Eagle?
War Eagle?
Just got broken up with.
War Eagle.
You get a text back from your crush.
War Eagle.
You just asked someone to marry you and they said yes,
how would you say War Eagle?
War Eagle.
War Eagle.
War Damn!
Eagle, baby.
Hugh Fries got fired.
What damn eagle?
This Georgia fan runs into her shot a third time.
How are you saying, we're eagle?
I would do an eagle call.
Great callback.
Do you feel like this is a hateful rivalry or no?
Because it doesn't, I'm not getting that vibe.
I mean, it is long-standing tradition in rivalry,
but not a lot of hate, I would say.
Hates a strong word.
This has been, I think, the friendliest fan base we've ever met.
It's so, like, southern hospitality here.
Like, it's so good.
Yeah. We just interviewed your daughter. How do you think she did?
I know my daughter. I know she did it really well.
Your daughter goes here. Did you go here? Are you a fan? What's your connection to Auburn?
Aside from the financial aspect of it. My daughter is, he goes here. She's a freshman.
Are you okay with a tuition increase if they fire Hugh Fries?
I'll do it. If my daughter wants to go here, I'll pay it.
Your dad said, if they fire Hugh Fries, you're still good if tuition goes up.
So for you as a Georgia fan, does seeing Carson Beck succeed in Miami? How does that make you feel?
I think Carson thrives in the more in Miami, maybe a little club scene there in Miami.
He might be a little, that's kind of his vibe down there.
You know what? That's perfect.
I got nothing else to say about Carson Beck and his Lamborghini that he got stolen through his own fault.
I think he left the keys in the car.
He probably did. He probably did.
Texting his girlfriend or something probably.
They broke up.
They did. Oh.
I think he cheated on her.
He was the man of Snapchat.
He could have had some Snapchat things going on there.

Dan, that was one of the worst football games I've ever seen. Auburn was bad. Georgia wasn't
particularly good. The refs were terrible. Everything about it was really bad. And here's a fun fact
about me. Auburn was my dream school. This is where I wanted to go to college, but they couldn't give me
any money because they were too busy using it for buyouts. And I have a feeling they're about to have
to do that again. Hugh Freeze, $15 million buyouts. But the pride and joy of watching Auburn
football do the most Auburn football things ever, that's priceless. Well, that's not true. It probably
cost you a lot to send me to watch this bad football game. Yeah, and you're going to expense account
rocks. Rocks that people sell you that are just rocks on the side of the road. Lucky rocks. I'm sure
I'm going to see that in the expense account. You're just throwing away money. It was $1. It was a really
good deal. Projectiles at a Hugh Fries game
seems like a mistake. Is this the most
unlikely Louis Vuitton wearer
in the history of media?
Did not have a Louis V
at the South's oldest rivalry.
He had like the thickest accent, too.
You were spinning these people on your finger,
Lucy. This was one of the trips that you
most enjoyed, obviously, because
all of these people froliced with you.
No, really?
Like, Auburn fans were just, like, insanely
nice. After every interview
ended, it was almost difficult because people
will be like asking me so many questions.
Like, where are you from?
Like, oh my God, tell me about your job.
All this stuff.
It was really nice.
We're like, we have a job too.
We do have to go.
Incredibly friendly bunch.
And I cannot stress enough,
that lemonade is the best lemonade I've ever had.
Okay, nothing close.
You can catch Lucy in Iowa for the Hawkeyes match up with the Penn State Nittley Lions this week.
And that's ridiculous.
That's not the game you should be at.
I don't understand why that's the game you're at.
I explained it.
It was chosen a long time ago.
I know.
Poorly.
I know poorly.
Let's do an internet minute here with Lucy, please.
Oh, well, time to get in it.
It's Lucy's Internet Minute.
Whoa, that's neat.
Okay, so it's a little bit of celebrity gossip,
but it's some of my favorite celebrity gossip,
because the internet, Dan, it was kind of rough this week.
I was going to tell you about my TikTok tarot card readers,
but then something popped up this morning.
Amy Roeback and T.J. Holmes are engaged.
Now, we probably don't remember who they are.
Those were the Good Morning America anchors,
that they were both married for 10 years to their rest.
respective partners and then cheated on them with each other and they were like co-hosts in the morning and then they both got fired because everyone found out that they were cheating on their partners with each other and they just got engaged which like I don't really care about that what I do care about is that both of their partners are now dating each other nice so like the people they left are now in a relationship with each other nice did that happen with baseball players one time yes Kekitsyn Peterson they swap families not just wives what it's like
each other's kids too? 1973 I think. The wheelhouse of Greg Cody's ladies and
gentlemen the wife swap in 1973. Family swap down that was awesome. That was awesome.
He's got every single detail right. Named the swingers and everything. Fritz
Peterson and Mike Kekich. That was awesome. How is it that you have no other
information that you can retain from last week and this morning but a sorted sports story
from 52 years ago,
you could probably give us all the information
because they were nasty.
They were.
I mean, it sort of was big news back then.
Can you imagine if that happened today?
We literally just did.
These are New York Yankees.
I know, but that's true.
This is a story I gave you.
I know, but these are New York Yankees.
These aren't just local anchors.
These are New York Yankees.
No, these were Good Morning America anchors.
These were like national.
This was national news.
In that case, I wonder if Kekich and Peterson had a comment.
I wonder that's asking.
Oh, well, thank you, Lizzie.
Yes, thank you for getting it.
What was that?
Let me hear the image.
That's my internet minute, boys.
You want to get in it with an internet minute.
I have a question for Lucy on the way out because part of the video kind of spoke to this.
People hate Carson Beck.
People hate him.
Because I guarantee you, if Carson Beck's name was like Rocco Beck and he was having the same season, he'd be the Heisman leader.
The hate for Carson Beck is so strong that we're actually doing one of the things that you normalized last week, which I love, is let's give the award to the best player in the nation, Ruben Bain.
There is no other quarterback, I think, in the nation, that would get the shine off of Ruben Bain, quite like Carson Beck.
People have made their mind up about this man.
Well, that guy was a Georgia fan, so I think it was just like more personal vendetta.
None of the Auburn fans had anything to say about Carson Beck.
I guarantee you if Carson Beck just wasn't Carson Beck.
Like people, and this may be fault of his own, no doubt.
I mean, you said that him getting his car stolen from his home was his own fault.
I don't know how that happens when it's in your home.
But people just don't like the young man.
I think it was just a Georgia fan.
Angry.
I'm angry when players leave Iowa.
Play the imaging again.
Oh, well, time to get in it.
It's Lucy's Internet Minute.
What's the first sound?
I really like that.
Oh, it's an internet minute.
Creepy.
He told me last week it wasn't ready yet.
He had to workshop it.
He told me, he told me, he told me.
He's a crassman.
So the moat in the beginning was the one that you were workshopping here.
I wanted this last week and we only had music and he's like, Dan, it's not ready.
I got to keep it.
It's time to get in it.
I got to keep scalping it.
It's like a how's your uncle in the beginning.
Do something.
Do it right, Dan.
In it rhymes with minute.
Yeah.
That's the part that was missing last week.
Lucy, thank you.
We will talk to you next week.
Bye.
Thank you for the song, Chris.
I don't know if that's a song.
I don't know what to call that.
No, it was a song.
You're welcome, Lulu.
Chris is a frack guy today, so he's giving people nicknames just so you know.
It's not an HR thing.
Okay.

Don Lebatard.
He for some reason would do a Gary
Stephen's impersonation of the offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins and the University
of Miami. Go ahead. Do you want to do that for the people? You're Gary Stevens impersonation.
You want to give people some of that 30 years in the making. Stugats. What? Who needs me?
Oh, that? What? You got my whole life. You're going to go to Buffalo and win with Bernie
Pommily. Who needs me? This is the Dan Levitar show with the Stucgart.
Let's go to the useless sound montage, please.
It has been cleverly baked and has it been edited by Billy Gill again in the hands of Billy Gill.
This is always a special treasure chest of sound and wonder.
You have done a little bit of this, none of this.
This has not been curated by you?
I, you know, I oversaw it, but Ethan's been handling some of that.
And if I don't say his name, he gets very mad at me.
I got a stern talking to last week.
It's like, okay.
What?
You're not familiar with a climb, a media climb.
You do the things you don't get credit.
And then, you know, a couple of years later, you do get the credit.
Probably too much credit.
Mm-hmm.
What are we in?
Six games in?
Is that right?
We six games in?
Man, it's great to win in the North.
The only place we can go is next week.
Believe in the human being.
coaches, players, and they, while we didn't get it done, they did show me why I believe in them.
So proud of this group that just continues to fight and scratch and claw and just get it done.
Getting a little tired of getting up here and having this conversation.
It goes with a deal, and you've got to keep working.
It's not just one side of the ball, every phase.
Capitalize on playing complimentary football to go up 17 to 3.
It's an undisciplined operation at the moment, and it's on me.
Yeah, Jalen, I thought, did an I just had a baby, too, which is a great thing.
that we thought we're critical to making this game unfold the way we desire for to unfold.
You say you can't win the game in the first, second, and third?
We needed to get kicked around a little bit because that's what happened.
I have no, I don't, you think I know all that stuff right now.
The overall trajectory of it has been what we desired.
You know, Puka tried to be able to give it a go, just didn't feel good enough, and I apologize for that.
But they were able to run it, and we weren't, and, you know, this is a thank you.
He maybe could have really pressed through, but we were kind of more being smart than anything,
so I do apologize for that, Sarah.
to the drumboard and get things cleaned up on the office side.
There's no doubt that there's guys that are hurting from the, you know, the game that we let
slip away. But, yeah, and.
My job there was to score, literally. If not, we would have lost the game.
I honestly have no idea truly how Ventrell played or not.
Ran with violence, had a plan, a man on a mission that wants to make yards.
is not enough.
Chasing another AFC North Pelt here in a short number of days.
They were the more physical team today.
We knew that it was going to be a physical game,
and I'm man enough to stand up here in front of you guys and say that.
We're always six, and we claim that.
We're going on the road.
We're flying to another country.
It's one thing to know who you have,
your responsibility, another to get through the trash.
You know, could have had some better spots that, you know,
we'll keep growing, we'll keep learning together.
I think it starts with the leadership in helping articulate that for the guys,
and then what we're expecting out of the guys.
It sounds like there was something on his mind with regard to the specific meetings with a couple individuals that he was trying to get corrected by being with direct communication.
We have guys showing up to player-only meetings late.
Player-led meetings are extra things outside of, you know, what I demand.
We've been very accountable to me.
Do we have to make this mandatory?
Do we not have to make this mandatory?
Clearly he's sending a message, but from my standpoint, everything that, um, we've been very accountable to me.
I've asked of the guys they have delivered on.
I cannot say enough about Jalen Ramsey guys.
We all got to look at ourselves not pointing fingers.
We got to look at ourselves individually first
about what I could have done to help our team win that game.
You know, the way you can make it suck more?
Have an opportunity to seal the game,
and then, you know, we don't allow that to happen.
Either way, last week, Carolina, offense, this week.
You know, you can look at it however you want.
It's hard to get victories in the National Football League.
Jordan Brooks shared a Bible verse with us as well.
I thought it was super dope.
I don't think we can say that the McDaniel Tua sound is useless.
We fed off it all week.
Angers me, honestly.
Well, that's Ethan's fault.
I told you wasn't me.
I mean, that's, you try to give someone, give an inch.
They take a mile, you know?
You guys would agree that Tomlin still is the best.
Tomlin is looking to replace Andrew Luck and who was it?
Was it Chuck Pagano?
No, like we've had...
All luminaries of the game.
Well, but the Mount Rushmore of useless sound montage recognizable upon voice.
Mahomes was in there.
I haven't heard very much from him this year,
but you can instantaneously tell who it is in your imagination.
Dan Campbell's rivaling people.
Now, you hear the Neanderthal in his nether region as he speaks.
You know who's putting up good tape this year?
Sean McVeigh.
Yeah, McVeigh's doing really good work.
That's real good tape.
Very distinctive.
Who is the funniest in the history?
of the
useless sound montage.
Pagano.
Pagano and Tomlin.
Pagano, Tomlin,
Andrew Luck.
Big three.
That's a big three.
That's a first ballot.
The baseball games
from last night
that Jeremy so desperately
wishes to speak about,
and I am going macro
here when I simply say,
and it's not prisoner
of the moment of the Dodgers.
Yeah, best roster ever assembled,
biggest payroll ever assembled,
the best international team
of all stars ever formed.
Aces coming out of the bullpen
and built
for this time of year where they've lopsided even baseball's randomness in the sport.
Because what they guarantee themselves with the money is they've been in 13 straight years.
And so what they guarantee themselves is, eh, it doesn't matter if Otani's good this series or not.
Like, we'll get there, we've got enough players.
It'll be Freeman this time who hits the Grand Slam.
It'll be Mookie Betts this time who hits the, because we've got all of the best players and they will remain the best.
And now we've got the best pitching staff too.
Our starters are doing stuff that's not been seen in the sport.
like just no one can hit.
The Mariners are this far
and they've scored more than three runs in two games.
Like the pitching is extraordinary.
You got everybody's coming out throwing unhittable bullshit.
Like it's all 100-mile-an-hour frisbys.
And no, it's absurd.
And so every once in a while somebody hits a solo shot,
but then the Yankees get eliminated because they can't hit enough of them.
The pitching is totally absurd.
I loved Yamamoto going to the complete game yesterday.
I was stunned, but maybe not.
I shouldn't have been stunned that it hasn't happened since 2017.
But man, like, and I get it why the managers bail on the pitchers early, but
give me once in a while in a playoff game.
Give me a pitcher and go six or seven innings.
I mean, this guy went a complete game.
Like, I miss when they used to actually give them some rope, you know, to go deep into a game.
You know, this is the best start from a starting pitcher since Roy Halliday's no-hitter in 2010.
It was really unbelievable to see the complete game like that.
So Doc Holliday, Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
ALDS, that doesn't count.
Yeah, but it's rest in peace, so it counts.
there.
Billy, how do you feel about this, seeing the sport sort of distorted to the whims of
your beloved Dave Roberts and the Dodgers?
The funny thing is, is you're saying how high their payroll is they're paying
show a $2 million or whatever.
So, like, even that is not accounted for in their payroll.
What he is is that he actually hasn't even been a productive player from them.
And Max Muncie didn't have a hit or he didn't have a home run or an RBI going into
yesterday.
And, of course, the solo home run really breaks it open in the sixth inning.
It was unbelievable because it was three to one.
after that, and then they were really, really, really, really.
It doesn't matter if Otani's won for 17 with eight strikeouts.
They got Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, too.
And if not, the aases will just stuff the baseball down your throat.
And what do you do?
Because they're built.
You know, I've never said this about a baseball team before, right?
You can do load management in basketball.
You could do load management now in hockey where you can save the bodies during the year.
The Dodgers can pace themselves all year.
They know they're going to make the playoffs.
And then just...
Dan's actually right about this, which is pretty crazy.
You know, normally we don't say that about any sort of teams.
uh in terms of baseball being able to build for october but dan's actually right here
just play one of his songs i don't want to hear any more about how i'm right i'm bored being right
this is a story of wild bill who saves money with a little skill

Reusing K-cups.
Can I replay my favorite part of today's show?
Nah.
I think Billy and Mike have both had zoo experiences that have grown their relationship with Ron McGill.
Do I have this wrong?
We've been to the zoo.
What on earth is that kind of question?
Have you guys been to the zoo?
The reason the question was asked
And I'm sorry
It's so sexual in nature
It really is
Beastiality being implied
