Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This is the Down Level Tarsho with the Stugat's Podcast. Can you hear me? It's Mike Gaggenre. Down here in Miami go canes? I'd have you on been Been singing your praises here on the show Huge fan of yours and how much your game has improved you over here the fact that you're back up point card now And as good as you are at it. It's insane to me
Starting point is 00:00:40 You are a key contributor on a Western conference champion Congratulations to you sir. Oh, you have you have Mike's approval you are a key contributor on a Western conference champion. Congratulations to you, sir. You have, you have Mike's approval. Congratulations. Your trip is unmatched on that team. Congratulations. Congratulations. Congrats, Bruce. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:00:55 I know it's nice to make it to the finals, but I know what you really wanted is Mike Ryan's approval as a hurricane fan. You've improved so much according to Mike Ryan. You're older year. Golden Kane, not just a hurricane fan you've improved so much according to Mike Robbier older year golden came not just a hurricane fan I support the the program with dollars yes you do support with dollars and it is fairly amazing and influence perhaps we shouldn't be surprised because we saw him do it we've seen him do it in the playoffs he clearly has a great deal of confidence if you've heard him shit talk and all around the country
Starting point is 00:01:26 Chris Manics of sports illustrated as articulating I imagine Bruce something that pisses you off a little bit. He says quote, they're just not a compelling team to talk about to write about the nuggets. You're not LeBron Bruce. You're not LeBron and we need the nuggets to win less. You might be if you keep improving like this year over here about 2035. We need the nuggets to be more interesting.
Starting point is 00:01:49 I mean, when people talk about that, like, I mean, what do you want us to be? Like, what do you want us to do? Nicola is from Serbia, Jamal doesn't say much. I mean, there's other guys who can be out there and you can have stories about and talk about. But I mean, if we're winning, we don't, I don't really care.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. I gave you all these flowers. I'm a cane. I complimented your drip. You mentioned all that. And you come on this show. On this day. It's a bad hat.
Starting point is 00:02:23 We're in the hat that swept my team in 1996? You played down here, brob. See, what are you doing? Why are you wearing a Colorado avalanche hat? The night I'm in the playoffs, I mean, I live in Colorado. I support the avalanche. We have the same owner,
Starting point is 00:02:39 but I'm really a Boston Brule and Span. I'm from Boston. What the fuck? Come on, brob! Get outta here! Get outta here! They already did. Oh, be the... God, don't say y'all! I'm really a Boston Brule and Span, I'm from Boston. What the fuck? What the fuck? Get out of here. Get out of here. They already did. Y'all beat us.
Starting point is 00:02:47 God, don't say y'all, you're us. You're not them. No, I'm not a panty spend. I can't. Oh, my God, what's the matter with this person? I take it back. Congratulations, y'all, the sweeping. Yeah, you're back. Take off the hat. Take that hat off. Take thatben. Yeah. You're back.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Take off the hat. Take the hat off. Take the hat off. Put the cowboy hat on. Yeah. I support the apple. Just put the hat backwards or something. You think you're going to tell Bruce Brown,
Starting point is 00:03:14 if he's principled about something, you're going to think you're going to walk him off his position. Just say Brandon Montor is better than Kill McCart. Please. When he's the guy who goes to Devon Booker and asks him, you're going to cry? You're f***ing lost. What's wrong with you? When he's the guy who goes to Devon Booker and asks him, you're going to cry? You can lost. What's wrong with you? When he's the guy who goes to, that is pretty bad. When he goes to D'Angelo Rustling, he says, you can't bleeping plague.
Starting point is 00:03:33 I can't, can you believe that the nets were like after watching you and that postseason, we're like, nah, we're good. Uh, uh, honestly, I don't think it was, to be honest, I don't think it was the, the. I don't think it was the net front office organization who made that decision, but because what I've heard, they want to be back. So, who made the decision then? Can't say too much about that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, thought other people know I don't know who made it. Well, what's the front office? Was it a player? Who was it? The front office wanted me back. But Kevin Durant didn't who didn't who was
Starting point is 00:04:11 I don't know who was all right. Well, let's talk about this for a second because you are now some you're on a team that feels like a champion Can I ask you a couple of names and then you can just confirm or deny you can just take off your hat You can just take it. I don't know. Was it Kyrie Irving? I really don't know. Was it Kyrie Irving? He doesn't want to start it.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I do. All right, let's do it another way because this is not. He was, he's not an idiot. He just not an idiot. He's not an idiot. He's not going to do. Blink once during the course of this interview. Come on.
Starting point is 00:04:42 If it was Kyrie Irving, I'm very proud. Yeah, there was a blink. I don't know who it is. Mike, you need to stop. You're unreasonable and... My canes made it to an elite aid in Final Four. My panthers are in the Stanley Cup Final and my Amy Heat are a win away from joining
Starting point is 00:05:00 Bruce Brown in the NBA Finals. I am insufferable and shall be forever more. I want to talk to him about the nuggets in a second, but the nets were interesting, not good, not winning, not doing what your present team is doing, but they had players who had power there. And it was a pretty giant disaster from the outside. What did you see from the inside of it? I will celebrate the nuggets in a second, but we covered the nets like they were a lot more interesting than the winning team you're presently on Yeah, I mean front office wise they're great. They're amazing. I love Sean marks JP Jeffie using
Starting point is 00:05:37 but I Think Locker reminds it was it was cool, but we really didn't do much together off the court But when James is there obviously it was more fun. We are he he he did a hold a lot of events for us But when we left like rocker with kind of James Harden held a lot of events. Believe it or you can't take James Harden to help a lot of events for us. And not open up on that. James is a great teammate on and off the court.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Definitely was one of the best teammates I've ever had. Especially having some good times out. But I mean, you've been playing in a lot. He's a different breed. All right, Bruce, go ahead. Can you give us without speaking out of school? Just tell us what a night out with James Hardin on the best night is. It just depends on what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Like, I mean, there's a lot of different factors. And the strip club thing, I've never been to him with him to a strip club. So I don't know where that persona comes from. But I mean, just I'll have a good time having drinks. Just forgetting about the game and just just being in the moment. Is it true that he doesn't have internet? Internet. Yeah, there was like someone defending him because he was wearing like a,
Starting point is 00:07:00 the the blue lives matter mask and the bubble. And they just defended him by saying like man James doesn't have internet like he just doesn't follow any of those things I'm sure he has internet on his phone but yeah I don't know but you're sitting here saying Bruce and we'll get to the nuggets in a second what you're saying is the guy who lasted six months there who came in and was like I'm out this isn't the right environment for me. You're saying that he was the best part about making it feel good over there. I mean to get everybody in one place other than on the court, yeah for sure.
Starting point is 00:07:32 And that was just that's something we needed throughout the year. But when he left that kind of lacked. And then there was only a few people hanging out with with each other on the team. And then like on the court it was just kind of tough. I mean, our offense was basically just straight, Katie and Kai, Isos, and then team just loaded as you're saying against the Celtics in that series. Can you tell us what it is when you're feeling, whatever it is you're feeling, that you're confident enough to say out loud to Devon Booker to ask him if he's going to cry, that it is when you're feeling whatever it is you're feeling that you're confident
Starting point is 00:08:05 enough to say out loud to Devon Booker to ask him if he's gonna cry that that you your trash talk can slice. I don't know I don't I don't I didn't say that. I said some things I probably can't say on air. Um, but I did, I didn't say if you're going to cry, uh, those things, those videos I came out that's like trying to say what I said, they're completely wrong. What about the angel Russell? It's, uh, is this AI that saying you can't bleeping play? Uh, is that artificial intelligence or did you say that? I'll tell you this. So when he blocked my shot, um, he said something, uh, like to get exactly we said, but who's going to the bench, he said, uh, you chose the wrong sport, my boy. Um,
Starting point is 00:08:55 and I was like, how about you come in here and guard me then, uh, because as soon as I check in the game, they take you off me. So it was, it was, it was, it was, was it was it was a definitely a fun back and forth between me and their bench, me and some of their players. So you wanted to fight the Laker bench, yes? No, so I'm actually like I know Tristan. I know Malik. Like we're pretty cool. So I was really just talking to them the whole time. Because I played Tristan a lot when he was in Cleveland. I was in Detroit. And then Malik went to Florida State and my best friend's chance man. So we know each other pretty well. I do not imagine that you fear many men
Starting point is 00:09:32 other than the Yochitch brothers. They are super strong. All right, so my first time kind of like talkin' to them was after the Western Conference finals when we slept with Lakers and they hugged me both of them at the same time and I was getting crushed. Like it was like a full like strong bear hug both of them. Is that a 56 inch television in your kitchen? 85. You know you're bad as right? That's for red zone. That's for red zone.
Starting point is 00:10:05 You have very nice teeth. What are you doing? I'm just getting along with my fellow hurricane. What are you doing? I was asking questions about the mysterious Yokehitch brothers. Yeah, I'm just throwing in a compliment in an observation that I made.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Can you get a very nice teeth? I've seen you last but end of a red zone. I don't leave my house on Sundays when it's the football season. You mentioned the Yokehitch brothers are strong, but they also seem crazy. Very. I mean, they just don't play about their brother at all. Like, if you step on his toe, you step on their toe.
Starting point is 00:10:37 So I don't think anybody want to go down that road. Why are Joker's arms always bleeding? Because they foul him every two seconds in the game and they never call it. They're like scratching him, holding his arms, it's insane. But he gets a new cut every other game. So you're new to the nuggets and like,
Starting point is 00:10:55 I don't know if you remember this about the Miami Heat, but Andy Ellesberg had a block the doorway because of Miami Heat wanted to go after YoGitch. There is some animosity there that hasn't necessarily gone away. I'm not looking ahead, you know, because the Celtics are still in this series. But is there going to be bad blood between these two teams come in be a final time if the heat actually get there? No, no.
Starting point is 00:11:17 I mean, we played them twice this year and there was nothing like that at all. So no, I don't think so. Are you looking at that Boston Miami series and coming away with a conclusion, I believe blank will win? I mean, it's tough coming back from three-o. Obviously, I mean, a team's never done it before. But, I mean, it's a great series.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Boston's a good team. Miami's a great team, so. I mean, you just wait and series. Bossin's a good team. Miami's a great team. So I mean, you just wait and see but you've played them. So I know I look I'm not trying to actually trick you into saying I prefer so and so But no, I'm not trying to trick you. I'm only trying to trick you to talk stuff about I mean, the thing is with me with that series is like for me personally, it's a win-win like I'm from Boston So if they come back and went I'm going home to see my people. And then Miami, I would just go down there. So I get to see all my boys and all my people down in Miami. So it's a win win for me.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Well, it'd be more of a win. Hey, we just waiting to see who it is. There's a nice smile again. I've got one last question for you before we let you go. You obviously had no problem. Poken Bears for the Los Angeles Lakers. We saw what Grant Williams did earlier in this series. You're gonna match up occasionally on Jimmy Butler.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Would you back down? Would you poke that bear? No, I wouldn't back down. Would you poke that bear? Nothing respect for Jimmy. His playoff, when the playoffs comes, he turns it up. I mean, there's nobody liking me to play else. Clutch shots, it does everything for that team. And I'm not scared to anyone.
Starting point is 00:12:48 So you wouldn't poke him. Would you poke the bear? I wouldn't start it. I'll tell you that. Mike, what kind of question is that would you back down? Yes, I would totally back down. No, but then I changed it to would you poke the bear? I bet those are two different questions. I know, but I've probably I taught the Jimmy last time. Like we like the same like he listens to Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber in the But those are two different questions. I know, but I've probably. I've probably. I talked to Jimmy last time.
Starting point is 00:13:05 We like to say, he listens to Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber in the locker room, but I listen to country music pregame when I'm shooting. And we both like Luke Holmes. So last time we played, we actually talked about how he listened to the album before he came on, maybe. And he was like, it's really good. So.
Starting point is 00:13:26 What's your favorite little come song? Oh, it just depends. What's my vibe? Tell me my vibe. Bo-day. Bo-day. You're about to poke the bear. Maybe you're a fidurated or?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Oh, wow. That's a deep cut. Yeah. You guys are so lame. You're very handsome, bro. See you later, bro. Thank you for being on with us. Hopefully one day we can get you down here and eat uniform.
Starting point is 00:13:50 To not just it's good talking to you. We weren't trying to trick you, but you were very clearly talking about Kyrie and James Knight's. A lot of talking about any specific person. Well, you weren't talking about James. Yes. We established that. See you later.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Hey, you're man., James. ¿Cuál es la voz de la gente? Seguirme. Seguirme. Ay, yo soy un hombre. No, James. Ah, later, buddy. Love you. Pero no, la siguiente round. Cocaine. Yo no creo que no puedo estar en trabajo hoy.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Embaricente. Embaricente. Hola, alguien me escucha. Necesito ayuda. I Come here I hug you through this suit come here
Starting point is 00:15:17 Yes I'll see you in Vegas by whoo 100% 100% I am I am embarrassed by these people in their raw emotions their raw emotions 56 seconds left. Okay Down one game seven. Yeah Boston. Yeah, who shows up for us? Brandon Montor That is that is what happened They are excited around here in a way that
Starting point is 00:15:45 embarrasses me. I don't understand what has happened with your hockey team. If I cycled up to you about eight games left in the regular season. And I said, what's the furthest this goes? What is the furthest this goes? You say what to me? Honestly, in our group, as far as we could take out, so many people have asked me so many questions and what's changed in this team. And we've had confidence in today one. I think that's the biggest thing
Starting point is 00:16:14 and that's the biggest thing that's, why we're so successful right now. And we just push each other and just keep going. Mike, the hockey guys are annoying with the humility. Like this guy's what, this guy's what. Did you know that Rob push each other just keep going uh... mike the hockey guys are annoying with the humility you know like this guy's what that that's this guy's good you know that robberend more swept you because he kind of sounded like it's that new to you that robberend more but i want i want to play this out let's play this sound for uh... brandon montor
Starting point is 00:16:37 of uh... brinda more saying they did not lose four games in a row they were not swept he was in the games and they were not swept that's the unfortunate part of this is that he's going to look back and everyone's going to say you got swept and that's not what happened. I've lost the game. I'm there. I'm cutting the game. We're in the game. We didn't lose four games. We got beat, but it's, you know, we were right there and I just could have went the other way and just looked at it in four games the other way. And tonight, you know, we were right there and I just could have went the other way and just look at it in four games the other way and tonight You know the way it ended is tough getting a penalty like that. That's tough You know, especially what was let go and then you go that's that's that's gonna that's gonna sting
Starting point is 00:17:13 But not to take anything away from the other team is they played hard But you know, I think we take took a huge steps this year, you know coming this far like I said But what we were missing is pretty pretty impressive sounds like he's taken something away from you, Monty. Hey, that's, you know, the bowling teams coach, obviously, it was a tight series. The matter, you know, we got four wins straight. It's, uh, it wasn't a tight series. Yeah. Can you mention that part where we're in straight? It's the most you can win straight.
Starting point is 00:17:40 I'd say, I'd say, I'd say five because the other one, you know, the first game was pretty. That's right. It was a five game sweep. It's a five game. The first thing has ever happened. The games were obviously so tight. As I had coach, obviously upset with the outcome, but, you know, we're happy to be on our side. Did you guys see what Brent Burns did at the end of the first? No, no, no, no, he's bringing this up. Yeah, did you guys see what Brent Burns said to Chuckie? Briefly, I heard from Chuckie in between interventions, but I haven't seen any clips or nothing like that.
Starting point is 00:18:15 But you guys were a game away from the Stanley Cup finals. So revenge in that moment, too emotional, Chuckie, too important to the team. You want to keep your composure and not give Carolina that spark. But if Burns returns to the NHL, I've got two requests. You keep the receipts, and my second request is, you save a little piece for me. All right.
Starting point is 00:18:36 You know, I think the things that happened in a game like that, we don't forget. So, I'm sure Chuckie, especially if he, you know, catches him with his head down eventually, you know, something's going to happen. So, you know, we're up for that. You hear that burnsy? And they're going to say peace for me. How did you feel about the San Benet hit? Personally, I didn't see it. I saw replays afterwards, but I think anytime you see it, come on the ice, you got to keep that up because he's a warrior. Obviously, he's made some big, big, big time hits. And that was one that obviously you don't like to see a guy go down like that,
Starting point is 00:19:18 but on our side, that's a guy that plays hard and, you know, plays hard the right way and a clean way. And, you know, plays hard the right way and a clean way and, you know, you got to keep your head up when he's on the ice. Brandon, you were fifth in the league for points scored by a defenseman. How much confidence does this defense group have in the offensive game for the Panthers? For sure. And I think playoffs, it changes obviously. Games get tighter.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Not as loose. Games get scored. The goals get scored in front of the net. As you can see, a few maddy's goals last night. Those are big time goals that are just kind of in front of the net. But the more offense, the more help we can, you know, as a decore come up and play and help them out, you know, we like to do that. So that's definitely to our advantage. Brandon, I'm a three season deep season ticket holder here. I just wanna, how creative we've been. How great have we been?
Starting point is 00:20:09 Tell us how great we've been. I feel like we've been great. Come on. I'm best fans in the NHL, yeah. Credential media. I'm doing it without us, yeah. I'm all out of the kids. It's the energy.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Like I've talked to so many people from, since I've put on the pants of Jersey, you know, even beforehand, it was nothing to put against Florida or nothing, but like fan base or it was quiet. And the last three years since I've been here, it's been insane. So since I was, I don't take it all. And I've, yeah, I think you probably stepped foot
Starting point is 00:20:40 and it changed everything. So yeah, yeah. Yeah. It's been crazy since the start here. And obviously a lot of new faces since I've been here, but the culture has changed. Management has changed. Obviously the organization has changed,
Starting point is 00:20:55 and it's obviously great to see. Chris and Mike were in the building, though, and they were saying that the feeling brought by sports with three seconds left to have Kachak score the goal to end them that way to not have to travel to get to the finals with the to the final with that as the goal three seconds left. Do you feel what it is that they're talking about where that is the greatest moment that hockey has given you in terms of just a feeling. Yeah, and it's especially this, you know, run that we're on here.
Starting point is 00:21:29 It's so many highs and lows from, as you guys saw in Boston series, the Toronto series to, you know, three, four, five seconds left in the game. This team, like, we just don't quit right till the end, you know, and obviously that's shown. Being up in a game like last night Maybe gripping our sticks a little too tight just because we want to win it so bad and oh Yeah, I think but I was gripping my stick a little tight after that winner by You're sick. It's really annoying
Starting point is 00:22:02 But you know as soon as they tie it there, I think we just kind of, in a sense, kind of cool. This takes our euphemism for our penises. Yeah, that's right. You gotta go to just the doubt. You're embarrassing me. Sometimes we operate on a higher terrestrial point. Obviously, you know, getting the power power play last little bit there and chuck you doing what he does and, um, seeing the building erupt and how exciting everyone is as a panther, you know, it's, is, you can't even describe in the feeling about, you know, all right, but these hockey guys can be slippery. So I'm going to force you to choose one. You have to choose between these two feelings, beating Boston to finish that series or three seconds left last night. Pick one. I gotta go. I gotta go last night. It's gotta be last night. It's gotta be last
Starting point is 00:22:52 night. It's just, you know, you had a lot to do with the Boston one. Yeah, the equalizer Monte. Yeah, that's great. But, you know, it's, we, I don't even think we, I mean, looking back, you know, once everything's done here, how creative a series that was and how much of a battle that was to win that, but I think just being a home ice, getting the chance of what we're, what have we accomplished in a dream of ours to play in this finals, that's just four seconds left. It's like I said, you can't describe that. So I think we, we got to go with that one.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Paul Marie says that the players have taken over the bench, meaning that basically the coaches don't have to say anything going into the locker room. They're an intermission. How important is it to have that trust from the coaches? It's huge. And obviously, you know, they've experienced everything. I think at this point of season, you're still playing, I think, you know how it takes to win or everything that you need to do when you make mistakes or things like that.
Starting point is 00:23:54 But when these guys come in and talk to us, we know what's up. Like I said, at this time of year, it's about the players and they give us the systems and everything like that and we got to perform. So it's great on both sides there. I've been trying to get someone to articulate this because I don't think people understand the kind of shape you guys are in and what it just does to lung capacity to play at that intensity that you guys play at. Your body feels like what after a four overtime game when you're playing more minutes than anyone there. When you're explain to me, like in a way that people can understand what that does to the human body. Um, obviously it starts with,
Starting point is 00:24:36 it starts with training at first, you know, um, but, you know, I woke up the next, obviously, you're exhausted. Um, I don't even know what time the bus was to get back to hotel almost 3 a.m. But You try to sleep in as much as you can I probably didn't go to bed to almost five The next day you're tired, but I think it was the following day When the soreness and everything kind of got you know, I got hit there But the motion the mixed emotion. I think you just, you honestly don't feel it. Ha, ha, ha.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Well, your thoughts are what? When I hear on every telecast, hey, do you realize this is the best offensive defenseman in the league? Do you realize that this is the guy who's more of a threat from that position than anybody? Because that's what you've given yourself. If, if not that, it's an argument with you about who's doing that better than anyone in your sport.
Starting point is 00:25:26 That happened quickly, it seems to me. Bruce Brown refused to say that you were better than kill McCartney. Even though you were doing it all, see? I held him accountable. Hey, whatever guesses the win, whatever it takes, whether it's scoring goals or playing hard, it's, you know, I've just enjoyed being out there.
Starting point is 00:25:46 I think you could see every time I'm out there, either smiling or laughing at someone or trying to do something, but whatever helps as team win, and you know, that's my old goal. My God, look at your shoulders, pal. We have, we actually have this tradition at the end of interviews. Longberg did it, Chuck, he did it. Can you just take your shirt off for us? Yeah, if you're a first time guest, we take our shirt off. Soberg did a Chuckie did it. He just take your shirt off for us. This is here for some guests.
Starting point is 00:26:05 We take our shirts off. So I got a whole set up so I can't. I'm walking. No, but that's a tradition. Lean back though again. Come on. Come on. I'm not so.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Larger. Larger. Larger. Ad, you enforcing, must slap your thighs before you go on in the ice. Stop objectifying him. Like, I'm pulling up. It feels like you're hitting on him the ice. Stop objectifying him. Like I'm holding it. It feels like you're hitting on him.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Not get off. I am my guy. I mean, Monty. Stay forever. I love you. I love you. All right, see you later, Monty.
Starting point is 00:26:38 I love you Vegas. Grip in my stick. Come on, come on. Go kids, go, Bommas, go. Stop with the stick. Goodbye, I want balacic! I swear, Monday, party! I like gromtega!
Starting point is 00:26:54 Rararar! Done, libertard! For the rain drops, we're lemon drops and gun drops. Oh, what a rain that would be. Stooots! Standing outside with my mouth open wide. Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gun drops. Oh, what a rain that would be.
Starting point is 00:27:18 This is the Don Lebatar show with a to got. Remember I told you Mike after Tatum went from one of 14 to making a few threes to save the Celtic season in game six and then the series turned to game seven in Boston. I had the thought during storytelling time where legacies are made, your turn MVP and bead your turn. And he fell apart and bead fell apart under the weight of that and and bead will be considered someone for now who is someone who shrinks during the playoff statistically and obviously now they're down three one the Celtics are Tatum knows that it's legacy making time and Jimmy Butler stands in the way legacy made
Starting point is 00:28:12 Jimmy says to Struce You can hear the audio and the video Because Tatum got loose a couple of times bleep just do your job. He spit at max truce bleep, just do your job. He spit at Max Trues. Bleep, just do your job because they shoot middle fingers at each other by way of celebration and the heat, love, conflict, and bouncing into each other. That game is tonight. You guys all smell like a combination of booze and hangover and snorting and parting with Brooks Cap Capka and you have made today's show an embarrassment a disaster. I apologize. No, you don't apologize You're right. I don't you don't you you stink of alcohol We could start drinking now again
Starting point is 00:28:59 You did how many Patron shots after midnight? I believe you. And mine is. Ah! Ah! Damn! Woo! This is embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:29:11 What you guys are embarrassing. When somebody walks into Flannies, saying, we're in these! We won these! Shots of Patron! You're like, I won't want to. We're the greatest hockey town ever, boys.
Starting point is 00:29:23 We did it. We did it. We did it. Oh, by the way, Tampa Bay could suck on that. You guys, stick. It's our state now. Really? You guys stink. Yeah. 88. Oh my god. Where are that? Lightning have done it several years in a row. Shut up. They're right there now. It's our time. Yeah. You guys are obnoxious. You're drunk. You're hungover.
Starting point is 00:29:44 We're gonna do this again tomorrow. He winner lose. Don't make me come in tomorrow. We got to do it again tomorrow because this is the time of year. But as your feeder up in the air and you're enjoying playoff hockey, I mean left for a second because it got to take one of 40 shows. He was it was funny to listen to a mean today because through a child's eyes when he was young, he became a nix fan. And so the Alan Houston 8 seed game is something that helped a mean become someone who cares about sports, even though it was 30 years ago. And he chose a life in basketball that represents that career.
Starting point is 00:30:17 He was mocking you, Mike. And he was being cynical with your fandom at every turn. But I imagine somewhere in last night you were emotional at least in part because the Panthers taught you how to work, the Panthers taught you to choose a life in sports, the Panthers are sort of responsible for you choosing the career path you've chosen of parting with Brooks Keppga at three o'clock in the morning by while ingesting God knows what and gripping your stick. Thank you. He's got his middle finger. He's holding up a middle finger because he's tired and I while ingesting God knows what and gripping your stick. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:30:45 He's got his middle finger. He's holding up a middle finger because he's tired and I am meant to now do the rest of the show by myself because these guys. I can take a nap right now. Well, all of you have been talking about the naps you're gonna take. I prefer you not do it during the end of the show.
Starting point is 00:30:58 All right, yeah, no, they taught me how to work. You know what my first assignment was in Michael J. Hormark's Florida Panther Organization? What's that, Michael? I was a sales intern and they were like, hey, you know the white pages? Put them all in an Excel sheet. We need that. So I went through the white pages A to Z. I needed Lasik surgery after I was done. Do people even know what the white pages are? Young people listening to this a phone book a book with with... It sounds like Ron DeSantis' curriculum,
Starting point is 00:31:26 that is forcing on everybody. Yep. Right now. But I think that's like AP history now. It's the white pages. Put it on the poll, Drew, do you please. Does Ron DeSantis want to burn the white page? Mike said DeSantis and Billy Corbin walked by.
Starting point is 00:31:42 It was like weird. I don't know what to do about Billy Corbin. If you say Joe Corroyo three times, Billy Corbin just reanimates in your kitchen. And he won't get anything accomplished. He'll just cry about it. Please stop making me answer for Billy Corbin's opinions and vent. I'm using this whole crisis in his comically large fans.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Oh, oh, oh, oh. Yes, you know, I was, uh, I was having a, I was having a beverage during an intermission at the Panther game with a Miami Hurricanes legend and let's, like his name rhymes with flow on so my Smith. And he was like, like his name rhymes with flow on so my smith. And he was like, what's going on with Billy Corbin? I'm like, bro, stop asking me. I ain't got no answers. I'm quietly trying to phase him out.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Don't blow up my plans. It's always free to like, see ya. Yeah, but strong, bro. They want to get rid of Billy Corbin. Look at him. He's crazy because the sand just like across the Oh my god, we sent him to a corroyo three times Oh no, he's not No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no I'm not gonna ruin the vibe. No! Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:33:06 Oh, he's gonna say Ponzi post-alita, isn't he? Oh yeah. And he's gonna say it in a mildly offensive Latin accent that we've just somehow said it's okay. Somehow. Please, please, no. I beg you. I'll never say the name Matthew could check ever again.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Just get him out of here. Oh, no. He's like, no. Billy Corbin is in the kitchen. This is the real murder of fun. Yeah. Thanks for making Billy welcome. Feel welcome always.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Is he got, if he says third world Third world infrastructure one more goddamn time It's just please sunny place for shady. Oh No more enough. He is blowing. We make this more like a seasonal feature Tell you what no, V November, you can have it. You can have it, Billy. I swear to God, I don't do anything. Cheers.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Please. He's blowing through the entire metal-lark budget, making our listeners make all of these songs. I see a... Andrew Shooter's talented. Yeah, he's good. That's a catchy song. So much money.
Starting point is 00:34:24 So much metal-lark uh... paying for songs blowing through budget on something that you guys refused to uh... except is a danger that's just blocks away if it could just properly execute a twitter spaces uh... threat to democracy just feet uh... feet away from it this seminal playoff run we don't have time for politics. Nobody wants politics. Nobody wants Billy Corbin No one wants it's not the politics or show does politics. This is awkward. It's Billy Corbin's politics
Starting point is 00:35:13 Oh, these are all songs about Keroio's third or fourth wife testifying the news impotent. Yeah, no, I'm clear on the history of Joe Keroio. Oh My feet are can't be this meat Is he gone no he's still there if we keep playing songs he'll linger around like a smell in a bathroom after you've used it I want to I want to move from Miami just to avoid Billy Corbin I Have a great angle of Mike right now. I see it all I Billy do would you like to come in here no no perpetual joy sucker
Starting point is 00:35:52 you're in the kitchen you're seething randis antis is partaking in all manner of evil uh... we've got to play off run in town sports of the most important thing but you're too busy being worried about the threats there are to democracy uh... i'm going to ruin the show even more by foisting yet more important thing, but you're too busy being worried about the threats there are to democracy. I'm going to ruin the show even more by foisting yet more Billy Corbin upon the people, because Mike, you've been just as annoying as Billy Corbin. I don't need Billy Corbin to tell me we're on this antis as anxious and against freedom. I really don't.
Starting point is 00:36:21 I piece that one together all by myself. Really, I did Billy you seem to be taking a beating in the kitchen is it true that Joe Corolla's name when spoken three times on this program makes you Emerge by flume and construction where you're all in our kitchen using all my material This are all my cards. I got nothing. I got nothing for Shabbat Mike really let you have it there How are you feeling about all of that? I didn't hear any of it. There's no audio. That's me.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Every Friday morning. There's no audio. When I got mentioned about it, because Miami, it's just like I didn't hear any of it. I can't. I can. No, I just paid $150 for parking at Paceide across the street, so I'm exhausted.
Starting point is 00:37:00 How would you rate our infrastructure in terms of worlds? Who's infrastructure? Metalworks infrastructure. Like Miami-Dade Who's infrastructure? Metal orks infrastructure? Like Miami-Dade County's infrastructure. Is that a first world? Second world? Why are you doing this, Mike?
Starting point is 00:37:10 Why are you doing this? I would say it's on par with, it's just under Twitter. Is what I would say. He's making fun of you, though, is what he is doing. I know. You know, it's not the Brightlines fault, right? It's just not. I've lived my entire life, never got hit by a train.
Starting point is 00:37:32 Yes, it's honestly, I take a train every day. It's not that hard to not get hit by it. It's Darwinism. It is a faster train than Floridians are accustomed to, though. There is a learning curve. There is a learning curve here. It literally goes. Brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink, brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink brink Yeah!
