Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This episode is brought to you by Bracilla, the new movie from Academy Award-winning writer and director, Sophia Coppola. Hi. Starting point is 00:00:54 They want to eat the Miami Tears. Tony's already pivoting, slow down, don't get to the pivot before I've told the people why it is that we're here. The Miami Heat fan base has had its heart broken. I think I heard cackling delight from Billy in another room, I'm not sure, but he's not with whatever it is the Miami Heat are doing.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I think I sensed a joy in Billy, I had not heard or seen in a while that the Miami Heat had failed. Nice on fist bump Taylor. Falsehoods. That's false hoods Falsehood Say it with a straight I'm the lyrics and well, it's been a long day We should not be here. I still got escaped out of a side door and
Starting point is 00:01:36 He is in his car What are you what are you giving me the telephone gesture with your hand for Billy? Well, no, I was just saying I called him to come back I'm like to God's this big thing just have a good time coming back like yes he's he's about to walk in he's like yeah you can call me if you want me on the show yeah big time he does phone that work here i know he's he's the maximum still got to all time it's not a joke it's that's really what he is and he fled the premises even though we've got breaking news and i don't have the
Starting point is 00:02:04 details i have now reached out to some sources here to see if I could do some original reporting in the next 30 minutes. I was simply called I was headed to Acupuncture and I'm in trouble sleeping. I was headed toward a peaceful place They were gonna stick needles in me and I was gonna rest and Mike Ryan called me with I what I would say is concealed and stoic heartbreak Just can you get back to the studio Damien Lillard to the bucks And now I feel Because we as a show have been loudly Miami loudly Miami. He Roy. Why are you shaking your head? Disponded with... I guess it's spiked, man. It's just being petty on the part of the... Reportment.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Well, let's report the details, and the people can decide whether or not this is spiked. Spiked. Okay, so what we're tearfully going to leak out as a fan base is a tear of... Yeah. Damn you, damn you, port. The cronin! The cronin. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, pick, one, two pick swaps with teams that are now going to be considered better than them. And they are now saddled with the Drew Holiday contract and DeAndre
Starting point is 00:03:34 Aitens contract. Spite! They wanted to talk about a roster that fit and that Tyler Hero wouldn't necessarily fit their roster. I'm really struggling to find out how Drew holiday fits in all this mix considering that that is is Probably considered a worse contract than even Aitens the initial thoughts seem to be that they'll try to flip Drew holiday in Exchange for more assets in positioning Drew holiday as a positive asset to be able to move somewhere else We will get to both Billy's Glee and the heat in general, the laughing at the tears of Miami. But I actually think that macro interest in sports, there are two things more interesting here than the heat
Starting point is 00:04:20 getting its heart broken. One, you now know why Janice was saying, hey, I might not stay here if you don't get me pieces. If you want me to stay here, that was public and private pressure to go get Janice. He wants to compete. And if you want to keep him in Milwaukee, you better do something.
Starting point is 00:04:36 But more interesting to me is after what is it? A decade or 12 years of total player empowerment, Damien Lillard is the crossroads on no, we will not respect your power, your leverage, and your relationship with our city. You want to leave? Okay, you don't get to choose where it is you go. We're gonna, you wanna go to Miami? We're gonna send you to something close to the opposite
Starting point is 00:05:02 of Miami. You're gonna go to Milwaukee and you're going to either take your money and like it or now request a trade like you've been threatening so that Milwaukee has to trade him to Miami because he's actually willing to lose money and he's not going to show up for work as the start of his business relationship with Milwaukee. Damien Lillard has the crossroads because we've been saying for years, why do you always have to do what Hardin wants? He's got a contract, he doesn't have a no trade clause.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Well, you got to call the players bluff and Lillard wasn't able to get dirty in public. On behalf of Fwonding to get here, he didn't want to ruin the fan base loyalty that he has with Portland by making a mess. And so now he gets the power taken away from him and sent to a place he doesn't want to go. To me, that's the most interesting part of all of this that the place that it stops on player empowerment is Damien Lillard, you're too old, and you have too much money late in your contract.
Starting point is 00:05:55 You can't have this power. And not for me, I do think really, there's like, on the metal stand is, Pat Riley finally got a superstar to play ball and do the things that you needed. Talk to Shams, say that you only want to go to Miami. Say that you'll demand a trade. Anywhere else but Miami is in a front to you and all your loyalty.
Starting point is 00:06:14 He's whipped. Pat Riley has on a lot of superstars. He hasn't whipped on them doing this. He finally got someone to play ball and he whipped. And that leads me to believe that they did approach this with a certain amount of arrogance. But for me, it's the leveraging of the media and how poison the well was with anything with Miami. Basically, Cronin's like, our fan base has so convinced itself that Miami forget Tyler
Starting point is 00:06:38 Herald has no pieces that they ended up spinning this into one first round draft pick, which will be low. I mean not very, not a lot of worth there. A couple pick swaps that they won't actually execute. Indiana 8 and Andrew Holiday? That's, that's how we're gonna go about this rebuild and we're gonna, we're gonna hope that we actually have leverage now with Drew Holiday. If you thought you had no leverage with Damien Lillard, lame duck Drew holiday is getting you nothing. Cronin played himself. The Miami Heat played themselves. There are no winners in this except for the Milwaukee Bucks if Damien Lillard decides
Starting point is 00:07:15 that he's going to play ball. That's the next step. And I look forward to seeing what he does do because now it's finally gotten interesting after months and months of too much talk about this one thing without actually any progress. You have right before media days and right before training camps, you have a seismic move, and now the next question is, Lillard, your bluff has been called. Now what? Because now you're a symbol for player empowerment who makes $219 million, and you just got stripped of your power unless you're willing to make yet more of a mess as a starting point on uh... because a lot of people were saying up toronto man it was this was interesting
Starting point is 00:07:51 to watch he won't go there they're not a championship ready he doesn't help them he can't say that about Milwaukee like he can't say he's not going to Milwaukee because of winning Milwaukee with lila is better than my ammy my ammy with liillard is better than Miami. Miami with Lillard is possibly better than Milwaukee. He's a swing piece there and it's a smart move by Milwaukee. But I want to know Billy, I want to know what you were doing, laughing at Pat Riley because my grind is talking about arrogance
Starting point is 00:08:19 and maybe it is arrogance to say we're not going to overpay our offer is our offer, our offer will not increase. It will not improve. We are not negotiating against ourselves. But they said they weren't going to overpay for him and they said they weren't going to up their offer.
Starting point is 00:08:35 And if Milwaukee or Toronto had a better offer, they can have him because in his late 30s, he's going to be making a lot of money. They weren't going to up the offer. Is that arrogance or is that just placing the proper value on how it is you construct your business? And if you whiff on a whale, you whiff on a whale. But they've whiffed on a lot of whales as of late. And this is, you would assume the tail end
Starting point is 00:08:56 of Pat Riley's career, right? So why not overpay? If you're going to get that piece, they get you that last championship. Why not overpay at this point if you're him? I was sitting in there, the way when it happened. We were about to do mystery crate, record a little things here,
Starting point is 00:09:09 and then Dan was coming back, we had to go live. There's a lot of scurrying about lots of things, moving, you should be proud, Dan. I would say this. I would say you should be proud of this crew that you have put together here, because people turned into a newsroom very quickly, and this was a show that you were gone, and then you came back and we were ready to go within minutes breaking news
Starting point is 00:09:28 going live on the YouTube and we're here now. Everyone accepts to God to you called and said, Dan's not coming back and kept driving into. We said he could call in if you wanted to. I want to see something that part of the news breaking aspects that you reported earlier this week that, okay, another team has a better offer than us go for it. Now we don't know exactly what my Amy's offer was maybe you do we know that Tyler hero and none of the other prospects were really mentioned we don't know anything about draft fix we know wasn't a clear there wasn't an increase of all of
Starting point is 00:10:00 their prospects the Caleb Martins and all the other things after Tyler, hero, draft picks. There just wasn't an upping of the offer. The offer was the same for months. It wasn't, they weren't going to bid against themselves. And the last couple of days and talking to them about specifically Milwaukee and Toronto, I told you they said if they think they have a better offer, they can have him. We are not going to keep going up on this. Billy's not wrong.
Starting point is 00:10:24 The Billy's not wrong that if you want to just get the star at any cost adam with jimmy butler adam with kyle lowery bloated contracts three years from now is going to be a disaster what i'm trying to get to the bottom of and i'm sure you will get into news gathering mode after we get off of uh... youtube and you've already uh... reached out to sources. But I would like to know if this offer that Portland took was actually better,
Starting point is 00:10:51 or if this was just something that turned sour and people couldn't get past their own grudges, and it played out in front of our very eyes on cable television. The part that's interesting now is that Tyler Hero becomes an even more polarizing player in the NBA, right? Because he's this player who the heat have held on to time after time after time
Starting point is 00:11:15 when the star has been out there. And in this case, Tyler Hero was reportedly part of this offer for Damien Lillard, but as the crux, as the center centerpiece of it and this really comes down to How the heat value Tyler hero they look at Tyler hero and a couple of first round picks if that's the crux of our trade That's a really good offer for you guys because we know the player the Tyler hero is we know the way that we value him and now His play this season with this roster as they try to chase another Eastern conference championship becomes that much more important.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Dan, I mentioned that there is one winner in this and that is Milwaukee Bucks and that's not exactly the case. It is the ringer. It is wouge because he beat everybody to this story. He's probably got a grin from ear to ear because it worked. Tainting the pool and saying that Miami's offer is unfair. And out there, the Tyler hero is not a good player. Like, ass and I and things about Tyler hero and Miami's assets. It worked. Working the worldwide leader. It worked for Kronan to the degree
Starting point is 00:12:21 that they didn't send them to Miami. But I don't think they won in this. That's not, no, it's not good. Now, we probably overstayed how bad Drew Holiday's contract is. Because it's got two years later. We wanted to retire a buck. I don't know how this affects that. Drew Holiday helped win Yannis his one championship
Starting point is 00:12:39 and then got dragged by Jimmy Butler in the postseason last year. I want to talk about all of the Miami tears that people will be enjoying today because I have a question just so we're all on the same page here. So instead of just accepting that maybe Portland didn't want Miami's assets or think that they were good enough, Instead, the entire media has gotten together and colluded against the heat and spread false information in order to sabotage the chance of Damon Lillard going to the heat just to facilitate him going to any other team.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Yes, I like how that sounds. That makes perfect. Okay. Thank you, Billy. I appreciate that. You realize as you were saying it, how much sense you were making. I was just trying to make sure we're all on the same page. Yes. No, that's exactly what... No, it's not a total, it's not just what they got. I believe they got Nurkut's off their books, but they got the Andreate.
Starting point is 00:13:33 What I'm saying here is, the market did speak, and it wasn't this great overwhelming market. You also sound like a fool if you wanted Tyler Hero, a bevy of first round draft picks. If you look at all the articles that were written about what teams could actually offer and what was so, yeah, that wasn't a great market for Damien Lillard. Look, you have to, if you're Portland and you're a Portland fan, hope that the Drew Holiday swing piece that you're about to make, flipping him for something else is something that's already in the works,
Starting point is 00:14:06 and that you're not just sitting here hoping that that move happens, and you just have to holiday one in your roster. Well, wait a minute, though, Jeremy, when you talk about how quickly things change around here, especially if you're trying to avoid, as Mike Ryan is, because the internet is going to be cruel and laughing at Miami,
Starting point is 00:14:23 and Billy just gave voice to how and why. So explain it to me he has been conspired with woj to make damian lilyard do something that he didn't want to do to spite my amy and prevent my amy from being great well no i'll pass out to get out no i think pat riley was conspiring with damian lilyard telling damian lilyard what to say publicly to force portland to trade him to Miami. But Portland then also, and I guess Bill Simmons and the ringer were involved in this too and so. And Lucillo, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:51 They were, I guess, a pair of them were. Don't forget what we did. And a lot of the ESPN podcasts. They were all in Cajuts together, working. Zach Lowe was the only standout that was avoiding this particular experience. God bless us. He would make great points
Starting point is 00:15:04 and you could see how much it angered votes on behalf of Milwaukee. Just to be clear. No, no, no, no, on behalf of not my amy, on behalf of not my amy, you've got to get that right. Yes, yes. But because Miami is a debt at being slippery and because without Stu Gotts here, I believe our slipperiest is Tony.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Can I go now then? The scheming Tony. I've waited long enough then. No, real hoopers know and Tony's a real hooper. Well, I didn't know this is happening. No, he didn't know this was happening But he had an immediate reaction to it. Oh, yeah, be a little okay, this guy can't can't even guard a parked car His defense not there. What do you mean park cars don't move Billy? He can't guard anybody. I'm already over it Damien Lillard who doesn't matter. You know? You know what we're gonna do here? Okay? Plan B.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Plan B. Plan M. B. Oh, God. Joellen B. Is our new way. Oh, yeah. Oh, be out there.
Starting point is 00:15:58 That Damien Lillard. Joellen B. Get him here. I just realized actually that this is a crushing blow for my army because it also takes yana's out for a couple of years but no this may maybe maybe they were maybe they were selling low on uh... you know they they were tired of yana's maybe now my amcades for both of them that's probably what i have got it okay get it now that's your understanding how this works well it goes lila goes to Milwaukee gets yall this and they come back here for uh...
Starting point is 00:16:26 but who do we have talking robins high-smith you'll be i do want to recall what happened earlier this off season were buried jackson was writing oracles about not just lila but also Bradley bill and who ate your lunch with Bradley bill phoenix the same the very same team that ate your lunch
Starting point is 00:16:44 just a couple months prior with Kevin Durant. This is a recurring issue. Yes, he got Jimmy Butler with no cap room. That's like the one, no, no, no, we got Kyle Lowry too and we all know how that worked out. They've had a desirable location, a competitive team and they have swung out, swung out time and time again. They have just, they have gone down and now it's getting to the point that they're a joke.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Did you mean struck out? Yes, struck out. It's a long list. It's a long list. It's a long list. It's okay. No, I said it once, I'm like that in some right. And then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second
Starting point is 00:17:20 and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a second and then you said it a They got to be sent out. They struck out twice on these players, and they could have had Bradley Beale for nothing. This is where I would. Well, that was also, if you remember, everyone was colluding against that
Starting point is 00:17:30 because Bradley Beale's agents father something, and then everybody was working together against the heat for that one. If you remember. Yeah, and don't forget what happened, the owner-to-owner conversation between Phoenix and Brooklyn. Oh, I won't forget it.
Starting point is 00:17:43 When Miami actually saw it, I've reported exclusively, given to Ray thought he was coming to Miami. Yeah. Something happened. I got on Dan Patrick's show with a mouthpiece on and I shouted Damien Lillard to the heat a couple of hours ago. The audio wasn't great and the lights went out,
Starting point is 00:17:58 but I shouted. It was going out. I swung out. And one of the things that I imagine that the audience is going to enjoy here is the whimpering and the lamenting and the excuse making and the criticizing and the turning on the heat. I have been accused of being a pat Riley apologist because in this market, excellence until recently and all of the sports has been hard to come by and during Dwayne Wade's time, the Miami Heat for the-
Starting point is 00:18:26 How about talk to me when the Heat score 70 points in the game? I know. They're coming for the city. The dolphins are coming for the city that used to belong to Pat Riley. Pat Riley took that city from Don Shula and Mike Ryan is now calling American. Mike Ryan is emotional about this understandably. He is saying that Pat Riley has swung out because he is not getting the players that make my you should be mad then they have you out here being their mouthpiece looking like a fool talking with that mouthpiece in your mouth and you know what you think your mouthpiece no you know you are a propaganda yeah that's what's going on I need to know
Starting point is 00:18:59 if the last time they spoke was indeed July yeah Yeah. I need to know as this whole thing, which was very clearly, it felt like posturing over the weekend, if it actually worked and getting Miami to pick up the phone and say, all right, let's do a deal. And if Portland just had no interest in doing the deal with them, there's a lot of reporting that needs to be done right now. And I am really mad.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I'm really hurt. Okay, but can you, can I just instead of going to your emotions of I am hurt and sad and mad. They're worse they're worse again. Okay. They had a terrible loss season. Right. They sent Kyle Lowry to talk to Billips at one time. You call him on camera. I think that's what a deal was lost. Yeah. Maybe Billips got up because he's like I can't do this. Mr. Big shot. Yeah. I can't I can't do this. You're just you're a shell. I'm sorry. This is this is not gonna work out between us
Starting point is 00:19:46 They lost Max Truce they lost Gabe Vincent. Mm-hmm What are they added to this team outside of the the growth and development of the young player Josh Richardson? Oh, yeah Oh, Mike Ryan's just through a ball to the third player I know I really stepped out of bounds on the final possession. They've also added Thomas Bryan as a big man to replace Cody Zellner, which is obvious. Thomas Bryan is a nice guy. No, that's an obvious upgrade. You can't trust anyone to first name.
Starting point is 00:20:13 This team's going to look really similar to what you saw. You're going to see more Duncan Robinson than you saw last year. And you're going to see more Josh Richardson than obviously you saw. Replace and older Jimmy and Max Drew. And an older Jimmy. Look at Woj on TV. He can hide it he is so happy you can't hide how unhappy you are because you just said by way of defense as the internet comes at you to laugh at what a failure the Miami-Header is that I what you think is happening I
Starting point is 00:20:40 imagine all 10,000 people watching on our YouTube stream right now are being super kind in the comments. I bet you that what is happening right now is the cackling delight of being able to taste after Damien Lillard to the Bucks makes news. Mike Ryan whimpering, Thomas Bryant is a nice signing. And that tastes so good to rassilo that's a so good to be and people that's a so good to wode they are here for you to give them Mike your whimpering little well I know we
Starting point is 00:21:16 lost truce and Vincent but here I wasn't there for against the Celtics and he'll make them better like whatever your Wimpers are people want to hear them and I think one of them sits directly behind you I believe even though he will allege falsehoods. I believe that he is not here. He not only pounded fists with Taylor I think I saw him do and I believe Taylor's a nix man. Taylor was so happy. I know. Oh, come on.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Such a great day. He just texted me. Let me tell you something out there, haters. This is the defending Eastern Conference champion. Yes, it is. All right, and we still don't know if Lillard has agreed to actually go there. Yeah, he just texted me.
Starting point is 00:21:59 He just texted me. I haven't smiled like this in years. You don't understand. I saw it. Listen, Billy, Billy, this is the thing. It's not just Taylor. I am not making this up. Billy, I'm not going to say he's a joyless creature,
Starting point is 00:22:12 but I will say. Wait a tick. A teacher. He is a little bit inflexible with his emotions. And I am telling you, I saw this. I don't have video proof, but I saw it. He did a smiling actual summer salt. I saw I I couldn't believe physically that he had it in him I'm quite libert. Well, you used to be you used to be a pole-volter. I was stunned. I have not seen oh
Starting point is 00:22:37 No, he's coming to my Ami No, we have comment from Jimmy Butler's IG feed I'm good at the height of professionalism. I'm just gonna play it from my He says look into the box for Wow The Trades the laments of the loser get the lawyers and If if they didn't talk to the mind if look there's collusion here of the high
Starting point is 00:23:17 You have media are a leak Part of you have tampering now alleged by Jimmy Butler, which is I mean somebody needs to look into it Someone getting a face maybe investigation. This was enough. This wasn't a fair market Which I gotta be kidding me you have to be Joking that now we're gonna take a You can't when you've lost you can't run over there and shout tampering do you remember what you yelled at Dan Gilbert when when Bosch and Lebron and and silver to stop this yeah and I'm silver needs to stop it's way worse than with Chris Paul way
Starting point is 00:23:55 with Chris Paul yeah pants has have, Pence has the courage. It, if you did. Exactly. Okay, put her on the pole, please, Jude, you should mic Pence step in and have the courage to nix the trade. I don't say nix, Taylor's happy enough as a president. Oh, the debian.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Well, I couldn't believe the Somersault. I hope the video crew caught this because Taylor's executive is out there that went back to New York and let's let's go back down and see if there's just watching out your life. Well, I've got to tell you something, Billy, I'm uncomfortable saying this. Honestly, publicly as as somebody who's running a company, Taylor had an erection. Huh, I didn't mean to look at it.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Taylor stand up. Let's see your boat. I did not. They stand up. They stand up. No at it. Taylor stand up. Let's see your body. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Taylor stand up. Now keep it keep it put it behind Mike's Mike's Twitter subscriptions. You can He is way too happy because I believe that in this sport There are a couple of things that are just the greatest of things and one of them is being able to laugh at Miami.
Starting point is 00:25:27 All right, we have the video now, Dan, of what I played off of my phone at the high professionalism. Shout out to the studio team for turning this around and you could see how distraught Jimmy Butler is. Yo, it's gonna be a, man. Y'all need to look into the box for some room. Y'all do. I'm just gonna put that out there. Y'all didn't hear it from me, but I heard it through somebody. Y'all were there, into the box for some room. Y'all do. I'm just gonna put that out there.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Y'all didn't hear it from me, but I heard it through somebody. Y'all were there for some room. Is he in his hair, though? My man. That is the weakest. Well, I think it's a shot because, you know, the NBA in an unprecedented step,
Starting point is 00:25:59 find Damien Lillard. Another colluder. Yeah, for everybody was against Miami. Yeah, and then having to find James Harden after that because Wojge was doing the thing for Mori where he was doing for Cronin. So look, it goes all the way to the top. It's hard to tell if you're still available.
Starting point is 00:26:18 Is it on this? Well, Harden's a piece of the Mbede trade. We get him both. Oh, okay. He's in the market. Jimmy Harden. It's our bags. Mbede.B. trade we get them both Oh Jimmie hardens and bead yeah hero Thomas Bryant bam you know what Thomas Bryant in the champion Thomas Brian Iry Kyrie Lillard shot Maybe wet but our powders still dry
Starting point is 00:26:37 How about that? Taking a look at what the heat actually is because this last season was a little bit hard on the measurement. You got an 8 seed that you're feeling all season long that you do not trust because that 8 seed cannot shoot. That team has now lost two of its shooters, Gabe Vincent and Max Trues. One of its best shooters, a guy that we've been arguing for months, is someone who's a top 75, top 50 player in the league, Tyler Hiro, a value that Miami had that Portland did not recognize as value and neither did the conspiratorial media that is out to make Mike Rath filled. Tyler Hero returns, they beat Boston. Look, that run during the playoffs,
Starting point is 00:27:28 you cannot expect that to happen again. It doesn't have a lot of precedent in the sport. You cannot expect to beat in five games in a walkie team that was already better than you, all seasoned by leaps and bounds. One of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport. You can't just expect to beat Boston every time, even though you've been beating up on Boston.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I think that's a fair explanation. But the argument that the Miami Heat would make, both in the finals lost to the Lakers, and in the finals lost to Denver, is that Tyler Hiro's health would make a difference if it was available, and they were only willing to go so far on trading and moving assets to get Damien Lillard. You can fairly criticize them by saying they shouldn't
Starting point is 00:28:11 have let Vincent and Strus go if you weren't going to get him and you were going to risk Tyler here or being mad at you because now Tyler here are knows that you were trying to trade him but they can make a plausible argument without it being the whimpering. Thomas Bryan is a nice signing of this team has been good enough to be a championship contender. And both times that it was good enough, Tyler here wasn't healthy and available for that. Yeah, that is a good enough to beat Milwaukee with Damian Lillard.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Well, is it good enough to beat this outticks again? Yes, yeah. Again, is always the question though, right? They just did these things and they're now replacing players in Gabe Vincent and Max Strus, who I really like. We know how well they play. Gabe's a good player, man.
Starting point is 00:28:56 But come on, no, no, they're both really good players. But they make those and Josh Richardson was one of the guys who they made and they're now going to rehab. They have, it's role players guys. No, but I mean, look, this is from a realistic, from a real. I'm turning to hard drugs if Josh Richardson plays meaningful, from a realistic perspective with this team, vacant, absolutely get to the same places that they were before with this roster slightly revamped.
Starting point is 00:29:22 You sound like a fool. No, they were in A.C. They were in A.C. They were terrible. They almost lost their play. They were horrible. They weren't terrible. John Collins had 37 rebounds.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Thank God he's a new ton. How do you get him? How do you come down here? Doesn't he like the show? Hey, John, come bail us out. Who's a trade? Does no one like us? No one likes us.
Starting point is 00:29:44 No one wants to trade with us. It's unfair. I want to know why it is that Billy muttered under his breath through all of Jeremy's analysis, company man. Well, I mean, it had to be pointed out. For the sake of accuracy. Yes, for the bottom. Can you elaborate though, because he works for the heat.
Starting point is 00:30:05 I don't. Okay, can you elaborate? He works for the heat. He goes on and he does the heat. He's holding the babies. He's exactly right. I forgot about that. And the road rally, he was there being a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Propaganda's he's there in the half time, doing the thing with the microphone, talking to people, telling us how great the heat are. I'm a sideline reporter on Bally Sports on the Miami Heat broadcast. You said it, Miami Heat.s. You said it Miami Heat. Right. Of guilt.
Starting point is 00:30:27 The moment's two. He held a baby's daddy said there's a baby here. Remember that? We have that somewhere. Get them to find that. Get them to find it. Get them to find the video of Jeremy doing the objective reporting that you have at a rally where they asked me to go be the fan, Dan.
Starting point is 00:30:43 He put them in such a bad spot. Find something from seven months ago, please. Really? Billy putting someone in a bed. I've been trying to help the product. Yes. That's what you're trying to help everybody. I'm sure you are.
Starting point is 00:30:53 That is something that... What the hell is it to many Camara? Makes me want to go in there and punch you in the groin. It is such a blasphemous lie. And then while you summer's alting kick you in the esophagus Sounds like that hurts. Yeah, well because he is not here to help anybody but I'm just trying to move things alone No, I'm not really you like to stop them That you are the opposite of everything that you say. Yeah, I could be good
Starting point is 00:31:24 You know those guys at the airport that just go like that move the plane right now You're not trying to move things long you like to stop them Jeremy was trying to do a credible job of reporting And you undermine everyone around here by doing things like whispering company man I'm just because you sing it as falsehoods doesn't make it any truer We're getting stuck in the mud here. I'm gonna move you along. Yes, that's the thing. I don't think we're stuck in the mud. The thing that I want to analyze is that Jeremy,
Starting point is 00:31:52 who is, I believe, someone who goes more home-marific on the heat coverage than even Mike Ryan, has just had, like many heat fans, the disappointment of, you thought you were getting the big guy in the transaction age where everybody loves to have the big player transaction. And now you're in the sucky sucky spot of,
Starting point is 00:32:15 and this has been 12 years of heat basketball. When you swing and miss, everyone laughs at you a little extra hard because you're Miami, because you've been at the top or near the top of the sport for 12 years, because people don't like this thing in Miami, because it's loud and obnoxious and boastful about its winning.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Billy is saying that you are bought in your analysis and my question to you Jeremy is someone who cares about the heat. What is the fair criticism is Mike goes emotional on this and says the heater arrogant pat Riley has failed again And every time something like this happens that criticism can be valid Riley welcomes the measurements is someone who's Champion Chipper bus that criticism doesn't bother him that he swung out It doesn't but he wanted Lillard at a price
Starting point is 00:33:07 and they couldn't get with all of leverage, they couldn't get Portland to agree to that price and they failed to get a superstar that would have sold tickets and would have made them better. And would have made them more interesting too. Yeah, I mean, look, everybody wanted Damien Lillard here. Jimmy Butler wouldn't be going on social media
Starting point is 00:33:23 talking about Damien Lillard if not for the fact that he was so obviously linked to being here and that everybody wanted him here. Pat Riley had a price that he set that point. He wasn't willing to go past, you know, based off based off your reporting and based off the obvious results in this scenario. He didn't end up with Damien Lillard because he wasn't willing to to give up the entire roster. I think what really is the interesting part to look at when you analyze the team now from here is how many of those trades were withholding your own assets and not being willing to give up enough to get a superstar versus how the value of your assets are viewed.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Because in some of those scenarios, maybe they were willing to sort of empty the cupboard of assets, but because of the way that Tyler Hero is perceived or other players on this team, it doesn't meet the mark. But in some of these scenarios, they're just not willing to go past the amount of assets that it took to make this trade happen.
Starting point is 00:34:24 And so now you look at a roster where once again, this core is going to have to try to get it done. But the thing is, is that this core has been the best core in the Eastern Conference for the last four seasons. Tyler Hiro, Jimmy Butler, Bambo, and Abayo. They've brought the heat to the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee's better. Milwaukee is better. But that's hard.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Stop Milwaukee. Milwaukee is better. And let's see if my pants has occurred. No, and and in Wisconsin. And ultimately, like Milwaukee's the better team now on paper. And and Milwaukee was the better team on paper last season. But there was a reason I was emotionally home or heat guy coming in here with sunglasses and a strong baby's saying the Jimmy Butler was the better player than Yanis.
Starting point is 00:35:06 And the reality is Milwaukee may now have the two best players in that series, right? Damian Lillard and Janis Antitakumpo are remarkable. But there's no reason to believe that this all of a sudden means the heat, like some have insinuated already on social media. Now they're not even going to be a playoff team. Like this is still one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. But they were in the eight seed last year. And I do want to analyze a piece of this that I do
Starting point is 00:35:28 think is interesting, which is the value of hero. I have told you before man did the internet laugh at me on this one that the Miami Heat when Tyler hero came into the league, thought that he could be Devon Booker. That seems like a wild overstatement. That seems like they have an improper assessment of what he could be, I think, of course, that they are wrong on that. But it is something they thought when they got him. You generally know what a player is within the first three years of his career. And I can imagine a lot of people listening to this are saying Tyler Heros, not that good.
Starting point is 00:36:09 That's why the heat did not get Damien Lillard because Portland, not just having that kind of asset there that was a redundant skill set, they didn't think that Tyler Heros was worth whatever the heat thought Tyler Heros was worth. And now it's not very exciting to the Miami Heat fan base to go into a season with the idea of the heater okay with we will show you what Tyler hero was worth. What we think he's worth through his growth, through growing not just him, but Joe, is somebody that a young player that they think is going to be Danilo Galanari in two years and they will they will discover you know who would have been true strusses and Vincent you know what it would be cool
Starting point is 00:36:47 Danilo Golanari two years ago not Danilo Golanari in two years they missed they miss by the way we have video of Jeremy Tashay allegedly not being a heat employee here we're gonna talk to the video right now uh... mic here as the mime heat up to the
Starting point is 00:37:11 death crazy uh... everybody believe in my mime to the state center was ready for a great night from the job as this energy around the entire world was electric.
Starting point is 00:37:27 This is what the Ringer offices look like right now. You think that it's just the Ringer, Mike? Mike sure who's in the middle of the fight of his life. There's a baby. Yeah. They were hoisting babies. It was ready from the moment. It was a single baby that was hoisted.
Starting point is 00:37:41 It was not babies plural. You didn't see the other side of the outside. They were hoisted babies into the air. They were in hoisted. it was not baby's plurals. You didn't see the other side. They were saying, oh my god. They were saying, oh my god. There was one baby hoisted and I'm not sure you didn't plant that baby so you could say there are babies being hoisted. Now you got it. I can't remember the skit. Was it Saturday night live? Oh, maybe it was a was it a shrapnel show of our cineohal coming out to his audience and it going so crazy that
Starting point is 00:38:07 Eventually babies were just hurled in live and colored into the air and that's what it was like I appreciate the funny next step is Tyler here requesting a trade right And then you guys have to oh you have to honor Tyler hero and send him where he wants like you guys wanted to stay You know who'd really help this team out right now True holiday Hope we're like with the same Let's go look. I know we're a little raw in our feelings, but we could use true holiday Big hit think bigger guys
Starting point is 00:38:42 Steph Curry's out there. Oh Think bigger guys Steph Curry's out there. Oh Steph Curry's out there. What are you doing? He got for a price damn what does that mean exactly what I said think bigger You're thinking you're thinking Kyle Lowry you never knew holiday. You're thinking up here over over the screen where you can even see it Steph Curry you never know the next disgruntled superstar even though 90% of the time it's it's James Harden You lost your Kyrie Irving you lost the ability to get Rodney McGrooter. Rodney. Rodney. Rodney.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Steph Curry, Tony, I'm gonna need you to sit in the penalty box. What? You're not using your third eye, Dan. You're using the two eyes and your third eye. Take your all three of your eyes and go sit your ass in the front. Here's a player that doesn't fit at all. Trayon from a from a cultural standpoint, but no. No, you can make it work. If anybody can make it work, it's coach. I'm not prepared to do this with you guys. Tatum, you would say no to Trayon. You would say no. There's some things about his game. I like to prepared to do this with you guys. Tatum? You would say no to Treyon?
Starting point is 00:39:45 You would say no. Treyon, there's some things about his game I like. A three to say no. Treyon or Tatum? I don't want to do the next transaction because you know how we got into this mess? We got into this mess because immediately after they lost in the finals,
Starting point is 00:39:58 we pivoted very quickly to it, and now they'll get lily. I'm not ready yet to go to the next step on this of where and beat is or curry, which makes me want to fight Tony. Like, I mean, what are you doing? What do you, yeah, yeah, let's, you know what? What about Anthony Edwards? No, no, yes.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Oh, hey, we already laid the seat on the one. Edwards, Edwards, Luca, yeah. Yeah, and beat. You're the rancher now. Not you, you're the third eye. And Steph, yeah, yeah, and be And Steph and It makes sense because It's dude's been back that wasn't waiting in the wings that was not super has a meeting in there So I can't oh, okay, that's a bad dude's been waiting in the wings waiting for the signing the acquisition to happen
Starting point is 00:40:42 But now that it's not I can come out and give us a big moral boost. And that's Goran Drockett. Yeah! Yeah! Come on, go get him. Come on, go get him. Oh, he's a free agent. He's just waiting.
Starting point is 00:40:54 He's going back to Milwaukee now. Oh. It's ticked. Oh, now you've got all hurt more. Now you've gone too far, Milwaukee. You take it. Let's just go through my rolodex here of players that have openly volunteered their services to Miami
Starting point is 00:41:07 and next down on the list is Austin Rivers. Hey, all right. What can I ask something? What is the Goran Dragoj situation? Because Goran Dragoj likes to make you feel like he loves the heat and every opportunity he has to come here, he goes elsewhere. What is this game that you're playing with?
Starting point is 00:41:24 There was the one-on-side. Oh, dragon, he's free. Oh, dragon, oh, he's in Brooklyn. Oh, dragon, dragon, oh, he goes elsewhere. What is this game that you're playing with? There was one last time. Oh, dragon, he's free. Oh, dragon, he's in Brooklyn. Oh, dragon, dragon, oh, he's in Milwaukee. Oh, dragon, dragon, dragon, dragon. He'll go anywhere. The practice is levated just to stay coming here. One of those signs.
Starting point is 00:41:36 That doesn't want to be on the heat. Why? The league didn't allow one of those times. Oh, really? Do tell? Close too soon, that they have rules against it. But you're right, but this time it's going to be different. And he's probably PG1 at this point.
Starting point is 00:41:50 How many times has- He's got the culture though, Dan, you can't argue that. How many times has Goran Dragoch snubbed the heat? Is it three times? Not because the bulls are in there too. There have been three times that Micron expected Goran Dragoch to come to the heat as a heat lifer, and he went to the bulls and he went to the box and he went somewhere else. I sent him a Slovenian voice note on a means phone.
Starting point is 00:42:14 But how many times is it now? Three betrayals? You, which is the swung out three times? Which is the better feeling for people who want to eat MicRion's tears here? Thomas Bryant is a nice signing or we can still get Goren Dragoch who I failed to get three different times but I'm going to keep going to where my dignity used to reside and instead be covered in shame because even Goren Dragoch rejects me. That knee brace get bigger about a second. I'm going in Dragoch dance.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Like five games in Toronto. Every player I want to go out after Jimmy Butler's burn bridges with. Wait a minute. How about Kauai? Pull it. This is the one we keep it power dry. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Man, we are.

Starting point is 00:44:45 It has been a while. We start Mr. Great. I sleep past that I can know I don't. I'm walking right across the street and I'm forming a picket line. Wow. Oh, wait. What? The writer's strike is over. That is right. But I can pat needs to text Dan back strike is on. The way who are we picketing against the heat or the league or the media or the world? All of them. All of them. Everybody. And we're also holding up a sign. Please no Austin Rivers.
Starting point is 00:45:14 It's just no. You guys need to understand what I'm saying here when I tell you the delight of people at what has just happened to Miami. Mike sure is in the middle or has just concluded a giant fight where Hollywood and its writers and its actors have defeated the greedy CEOs who wanted to set back writing and Hollywood with all of their greed and unfair, unjust labor practices. Mike sure has been in the middle of a fight. He's been unavailable to the show because it's consumed his life. He has asked to do the
Starting point is 00:45:52 entire local hour tomorrow, which would be 6 a.m. his time. He has asked to do just so that he can spend the entire time laughing at us because the Miami Heat did not get Damien Lillard. You can catch a hell of a Georgia Tech preview one week early. I think we need to allow it, Mike. I think it's King playing quarterback now for the Ramlin wreck. I think we need to allow Mike sure. Look, man, we were talking about having Bill Simmons' face hung from the rafters here. The meme of him losing in Boston and game seven to Miami.
Starting point is 00:46:27 I believe we need to allow the Boston fan to have his voice heard on this program and to laugh at Miami heat fans. Like we have to, you don't like that one, Tony. They've had their voice. Sorry. What? That is. You can pitch elated. What is their voice? Bill Simmons is their voice. What? Get out of here, teacher. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no scandal. Is it going to get louder? Because we have before we just say that they may and Lillard is just going to go ahead and go to Milwaukee. Can I take you back to February 18th 2021 when Dave was doing a Q&A on Twitter
Starting point is 00:47:16 and someone said, Dave, can you come to Milwaukee when Bud is gone? Question mark. Daimler to quote tweeted. No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Mike, how do I get you to protest across from the arena with that CO no sign with just the no like, how do I get? How do I close? I have to go to the US open cup match and for a lottery and I'm already late and kick off setting. Mess is not playing. He's got to do a traffic. Okay, so we can't video anyone walking around protesting the heat with a no sign and the protest. Taylor with a seaside.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Is there a what? You know what? Let's do that. Let's send Taylor and his erection across the street. Allegedly. Yes. Let's take with a seaside to go ahead and celebrate the Miami heat for failing here. Let's let's do something with video here as a close out as mic ryan tries to get a mean on the phone
Starting point is 00:48:27 uh... breaking news because you've been jostled into being a news gathering organization here we will have a mean in moments and just checking the sound quality as he's on his phone in a in a he's right now is a rangers hello mean nice hat asshole all right you're you're a mute all right. You're on mute. I'm gonna go to you in a second
Starting point is 00:48:48 It is hard to on both Look at me drive look at me drive with both my hands. Yes, that's that's make so much sense. He's driving Yes, I'm gonna go Billy. I'm driving look at me drive backwards. Really? Oh my god I'm like be he in that music video Why are you furious? Because you guys know I like hey, what does it mean? It just stepped off a plane He's gonna get it's gonna cause us to be dead and then as soon as I get off a plane and cause like wait Please don't call no guys. I'm in the studio. It's actually. He's all a zoom background. I'm in the studio
Starting point is 00:49:24 It's all professional don't know worries why are you you know why are you yelling at us we're just calling you because of the news we want to hear expert analysis your our foremost basketball insider i didn't hear anything so the connection just evaluate the trade the the the collusion amongst the league and it's partners it's almost leading questions the evaluate the trade the the the collusion amongst the league and its partners
Starting point is 00:49:45 it's a mask leading questions yeah first of all it's not collusion it's a it's a spite meal man you're born Joe Coroio I told you I told you I was like like a man alright this is what what did Joe Coroio do Joe Coroio Joe Coroio no I, like this is, you can't tell me this is the best deal available for them. Unless they have like a massive Jew holiday,
Starting point is 00:50:12 like 7,000 pick return happening on deck. But it's like other than that, they really didn't help themselves that much better. They got a guy in Deon Ray eating that Phoenix couldn't wait to get rid of. I thought everybody got better except the Blazers. I don't know what the Blazers are doing I like you can tell me that Miami's package wasn't the best. You can't tell me that this package was better Or and slash or you can't tell me that Miami couldn't have figured out a way
Starting point is 00:50:43 To help them get this level of crap. That's what they were looking for. Can you tell us what else you found interesting here? Forgive me, I was looking for the Joe Corroyo sound. In God we trust. It is that God that's been protecting me. In God we trust. It is that God that's been protecting me. I'll come right back to you. So what's the thing?
Starting point is 00:51:02 There it is. So what's the thing? Yeah, that's so cruel. No. What else was interesting back to you. There it is. What else was interesting here to you? Because what's going to be the next step on Damien Lillard? What's he going to do? Is he just going to go to Milwaukee quietly? Well, first of all, the really Corbin Soundboard is a dangerous game. The most dangerous game of the time.
Starting point is 00:51:22 But as far as what the next step is, this is the interesting thing because Yannis of course has been savouraddling all summer long talking about it. I'm not signing an extension unless you guys showed me that you're committed to winning. And I think it's hard to argue with going out and getting Damien Lillard or Drew Audez Corp and some toenail cleippings isn't making the
Starting point is 00:51:47 steam significantly better. So what do you mean what am I doing? I mean what are you saying? You're calling people crud and toenail clippings and you just called someone a corpse. No. You think Drew Alde is at his peak right now? No. There's a difference between being interpeak and being a corpse.
Starting point is 00:52:04 There are love stops between those two things. Man, it ain't that many more stops. It ain't that many more stops. He's a good player. I'm not saying he's not a good player. He'll say he was a corpse. A corpse. A corpse.
Starting point is 00:52:18 A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. A corpse. committed to your future, you can't tell me that this is a massive step in their future. It really is, right?
Starting point is 00:52:27 Like, you holiday is someone who has been talking about retiring openly. So I don't know how somehow, like, no, no, this is where we'll go with this. Don't talk to me about talent heroes. Don't talk to me about other young players. Give me an alarm. Just talking about retirement, right? So that portion of it is whatever, I don't know what Portland is doing, but from Milwaukee, it's not only getting Damien Lillard adding him to a team that was already one of the best teams in the league.
Starting point is 00:52:58 It's not only convincing Janis, hey, we got stuff here. It's also convincing Yannis not to go somewhere else. So, in a weird chest move, the Bucks not only took Damien Lillard away from Miami, they took Yannis away from all the other teams, Toronto, New York, Miami, all the other things that were like, hey, maybe Yannis would be available. So, my good old to the Bucks is a great move. My question to you though is about the macro
Starting point is 00:53:26 before you came on here, I was talking about, is Damien Liller now gonna be the crossroad spot where the superstar asking for a trade doesn't have the power to go wherever he wants or is he going to keep going? Is Damien Liller going to do what has been threatened which is I'm not reporting to a team that trades for me if it's not Miami.
Starting point is 00:53:48 I'd be surprised if he doesn't report to Milwaukee. Just given the caliber of that team. They didn't send them to Indiana or Toronto where it would still be kind of a ways away. They sent them to one of the best teams in the league that had just given up a guard who, again, and openly talked about retirement not too long ago. Like, Milwaukee made out great. I think Damien Lillard, he'd love to be in Miami,
Starting point is 00:54:13 but man, I find it hard to believe that he'd look at Milwaukee and say, absolutely not. Now, if it doesn't work, down the line, if it's not, if it just isn't the situation or scenario that he thought it would be perhaps a Miami trade will be revisited down the line. But again, if you're Milwaukee, what did we lose?
Starting point is 00:54:35 What did we lose in order to engage in this gamble? I mean, I mean, it shows the importance of getting other teams involved in the deal because a lot of the anger from the Blazers fan base and rival fan bases of the Miami Heat was, well, you can't get Damian Lillard for nothing. You can't get Damian Lillard for Tyler Hero. That's insulting. And they just got Damian Lillard for a contract that were debating whether or not it's a bad contract or a terrible contract and a first round draft pick that's not going to be great they got
Starting point is 00:55:07 Damien Lillard for nothing and the responses yeah no that's that's that's cool that's that's way better bad no it's it's it's insane and you know even the eight and part man like I don't think you guys know how workout out eight in Phoenix was. This is not a situation where it was tenable and I'm, look, I haven't talked to anybody. I don't know anything. I don't know anything.
Starting point is 00:55:33 I haven't spoken to anyone, but I guarantee you, Phoenix is head over heels to get Nurgish in over eight. Not Nurgish is a better talent or better ceiling, but because NERKETS gives them what they need right now. It's toughness, rebound, defense, a guy who can pass a little by the high post. He gives them a win now, God. And Aiden is always going to be a guy on them.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Maybe you'll think it out. Maybe you won't. Can you explain to us what the league view is as if there was such a thing of Tyler Hero? Can you tell me? Can you explain to me what the league view is as if there was such a thing of Tyler hero? Can you tell me can you explain to me what his value actually is? What is the correct appraisal on how good of a player he is? Right, so Maybe like a year or two years ago we talked about RJ Barry
Starting point is 00:56:19 George Paul Tyler hero Tyrese Maxi Those guys are all kind of in the same neighborhood. I think Tyrese, Maxi lives in the nicest penthouse. I think Jordan pool probably lives, you know, in the most modest one. And then RJ and Tyler here are kind of in the middle.
Starting point is 00:56:40 They're middle of that grouping of players. These aren't players that are sure fire all stars, but they're guys that you can look at and say, we don't know one day if they keep playing, keep improving, they play on a good enough team, they get a big enough role. I mean, it could be an all star, two time all star, something like that. I think Tyler here was respected. I don't think his contract is out of order. Like I said, it's right in line with the guys like RJ Van Jordan pool and I you know, I guess Max is gonna be the highest paid out of that whole group but again, I'm not
Starting point is 00:57:11 Not denying Portland's desire for something that was not roster duplication Given that they have signings and sharp and scootenders. They didn't need Tyler here. I get it. I'm just trying to figure out how need Tyler here. I get it. I'm just trying to figure out how duality somehow is that's the one. I mean, it seems like a high price of pay for someone to I guess be a veteran experience guy for them. I don't know. I don't know. And again, go back to Deandre Aiden. Again, I feel like a deal could have been made involving the suns, involving the the Miami a deal could have been made involving the sons involving the uh... the mimey heat that could have uh... accomplish that goal
Starting point is 00:57:50 last thing will get you out of here on uh... can you uh... dress micrions criticism that the mimey heat has failed pat riley has failed they have swung out they have uh... not gotten away all again and it's because of arrogance. Yeah, I mean like we did this with Mike before, right? Like I feel like this is now a yearly occurrence. Mike says that right has lost it and the Miami-Eater messed up and then things seem to work out. So I want to come to a choir in the superstar. When did you want my I want a superstar? I wanted someone that can help a raining Eastern Conference champion.
Starting point is 00:58:31 They could have had Bradley Biel. It goes to Phoenix. It could have had Kevin Durant. He goes to Phoenix. They could have had Damien Lillard. Damien Lillard is actually playing ball and he goes to Milwaukee. And he goes to Milwaukee for peanuts because we decided to play this pissing contest publicly where media per juggernauts such as the Adrian of motion rowski and Dan Levitard are out
Starting point is 00:58:49 here playing this weird game of tug of war. It's it was an arrogant approach from an arrogant franchise. Ayo toss out toss out the whole abroad thing. What has power really done? So it's not like you guys are braining down here. No. I mean, he did push weight out the door. Don't forget that. That's still haunts you, huh, then. I, uh, the accusation isn't annoying one given that way. Doesn't feel that way. What is happening in your car right now? Is this family that's confused by why is Daddy giving gas baggy analysis again? Yes, yes, I took my kid to the aces, uh, wingies play all game last night. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh? Yes, yes, I took my kid to the aces wings play all game last night.
Starting point is 00:59:29 So we've just got getting back from Vegas right now. Yes, you do. Shout out to Sydney Colesuit. Just a metal art metal art collaborator. All right. Nice seeing you. I mean, we've missed you this way. Thank you for the analysis. I don't know why it was so hostile at the beginning of the interview because
Starting point is 00:59:46 But I don't like no the slick talk about like oh, is it a car? Yes, guys. I'm in a car. You know where I was Okay, I've held him up again I this is the sensitive spot for him don't point out ever again, Billy that he's in a car, okay? I'm sorry. I don't understand why this is trigger Don't point it out ever again. Thank you. I mean, it's nice seeing you oddball Every day except Monday every day because it's odd ball with Charlotte Wilder No protests Mike can I at some point I want you across the street protesting the Miami Heat Pat Riley arrogance
Starting point is 01:00:19 Failing to get the players that you want for your field good. You should have protested. You should anti-test to really send a message to them. Yeah. No test. A no test. Yeah, I think that it'll be a no test. Like a no test. Yeah. All of course, hinging on whether or not my pants has a courage.
Starting point is 01:00:37 According to real GM, the Portland Trailblazers, having acquired Drew Holiday, now planned to swing him and Adrian Rojnerowski has mentioned a potential trade partner. The Miami-Killer. Oh, the corpse of Drew Ha-ho! I was saved! Oh, he enjoyed it! And the toenails! Woo!
