Moblad, new season is now streaming on Paramount Plus.
Roy, I know how much you care about hockey. I know what an expert you are on hockey.
I know how seriously you take hockey,
but your emotional repressions make it so that Zaslo has quickly become the guy
who seems to care more about hockey than anyone here
because he comes in today and he hip checks me.
Like he comes in today, he barrels in,
and he's just so pumped up about what's going to happen tonight
that he knocked me into the boards
because his enthusiasm can't be contained
because of how much he hates the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Panthers are doing this the right way tonight, Roy.
In years past, you know, the Panthers are playing the Lightning tonight.
And the Lightning are always on that bullshit, dirtiest team in the NHL,
and they send out a roster full of AHL guys,
while the Panthers have all their starters out there,
and the Lightning and their goons are just out there fighting, all right?
And finally, the Panthers have, like, you shouldn't be fighting in preseason games,
but the Lightning are the dirtiest team in the NHL.
And so the Panthers have finally learned their lesson,
and they're not playing their starters tonight.
So you're going to have an H.L. Panther team and an H.
H.L. Lightning team, and I'm looking for the fist of cuffs tonight.
All right?
I'm rooting for fighting.
minute. The fist of cuffs? The fist of cuffs. That's three words. A fist, uh, and a cuffs.
There's going to be some fireworks tonight, Dan. You're not saying fist of cuffs. You're saying fist of cuffs.
You're so mad and rage-filled that you've got like a lisp when you say it. Fist of cuffs, Dan.
That's what I'm looking for tonight. You want to fight somebody? Tampa Bay Lightning. You want to fight somebody? John Cooper? You fight me. You fight me. You want to fight someone? You fight me. You don't want to fight John Cooper. You don't want to fight John Cooper.
Tony, if we can't get you interested in hockey with just a fight's going to start in the preseason and nobody can play their starters because the benches are both going to fight, how do we get you interested?
My question is, what is A HL?
The American Hockey.
So minor league hockey.
So you guys are watching minor league hockey in major league hockey shirts.
We're watching minor league fighting tonight.
That's what we're watching.
It's kind of crazy that the regular season starts on Tuesday.
It's awesome.
Panthers at defending champs with an asterisk.
Did you see what the senators owner said?
Yeah, did.
Those were some inflammatory for like a, for a, for a.
Canadian franchise to spill that tea. Basically, he was saying that the direct quote was
his brother and his dad got in his kitchen. Speaking of Brady. And that's why he went to Florida.
Now, as the Winnipeg Jets are finding out, the offer that the Panthers gave to the senators
is one you do not pass up. Three firsts, like that. And a player. And a player, a fairly decent
one, like that is not something that you turn down. So for all this thing that, where was the leverage
of the Ottawa senators, that's the best deal that they were going to find. However, for the
owner to come out and say, in a very Canadian way, Brady Kachuk is not his own man. That's what
he said. That's what he said. Be your own man. You're afraid to be your own man. Okay. But let's
let's really just enjoy, though. Okay. Let's enjoy this part because it's not just America that
has taken hockey from the Canadians. It's specifically Florida. And when you guys say that Tampa's
the dirtiest team in the league, they're also the biggest face of a champion before the Panthers
that there was in this league. They did not give that up lightly. They are not happy about
giving it up. The swamp is fighting over hockey. And the Panthers just went all in on, oh, you might
be the most, you might be the dirtiest team in the league, but we're already the most disliked. And
here's some more disliked for you as we bring some.
Kachucks at you and they're irritating
and their politics are questionable
and they're beloved in South Florida because
they're irritating and their politics are questionable.
I wouldn't be surprised that
the Florida Panthers gave Keith Kachukki
role on the team.
Because if you remember a couple years ago... I think he should
suit up tonight. Yeah.
In the front office. Keith Kichuk who
sideswite Paul Maurice before we went to
three straight Stanley Cups.
Worked. Yeah, it did.
Keith Kachuk is an agent for the Florida
Panthers, as the Ottawa Senator's owner
would allude to. And as
as Chris Cody and I can confirm one fateful night in New York,
we were working on that for years.
Yeah, he did it again this morning.
I don't know how he is doing, what he is doing.
Not since CoffeeZilla took down Andrew Tate,
has journalism been fought for so fervently.
Pablo Torre has teamed up with Mother Jones,
and in the crosshairs, Tim Tebow.
arguably America's most trusted Christian athlete, and I think I could lose the word arguably there.
Pablo joins us now.
Pablo Tori finds out is the episode.
There were other athletes involved in what I must say is just allegations and questions right now,
but it feels like religious business scam, and Pablo and Mother Jones have done some extraordinary reporting here,
and they're asking a lot of questions, and they're not getting a lot of answers to their questions from the athletes involved.
So, Pablo, before people go to your episode here today, Pablo Tori finds out, just 30 seconds or less, can you explain to me what life surge is?
You've seen the righteous gemstones, and this is not quite prosperity gospel.
It has some of that flavor.
It has a lot of God mixed in with religion, and then people wondering, what am I really paying?
What is the cost of doing business with a higher power?
That sort of a thing.
but then it's for this era
and it's involving a roster
of celebrities and sports figures
that I think is unparalleled
in the world of Christian
road show business because
what all these people are doing, Magic Johnson,
Marcus Marriota, Russell Wilson, Derek Carr,
David Ortiz, Sequin, Bartley, Antonio Gates, Sage, Steele,
Michael Strayon, Chris Carter, Joe, Montana,
Dominic, Dominic, Dres, Daryl, Starbary, Tim Tebow,
and on and on and on.
Kirk Herb Street, what they all do
is they help promote a company
called Life Surge that is selling
you not just prosperity gospel as you understand it, but the idea that to really do good, to grow
God, you need to learn how to invest. And so they're going to sell you some classes to do that.
And they go all around the country telling people that kingdom impact can only be achieved
by learning how to do real estate and stock market and related investing skill development,
which they will charge. Life surge has some questionable things in its past. Again,
and Mother Jones and Pablo are asking the questions.
There were not a lot of answers from anybody,
but there was a 3,000 word statement from Life Surge.
And what is the rebuttal, Pablo,
as we get into the meat of this story?
Because I don't know if Tim Tebow is at the center here
because he's the most famous and the most saintly
or because he's the most active
and it's easier to criticize him of hypocrisy
than some of the other athletes involved.
But do you believe that the elderly are being preyed on here
in something that can,
be argued is sales, not salvation?
According to our reporting, this is absolutely an institution that is trailed by a legacy of not just
accusations of fraud, but accusations that this company, Life Surge and these celebrities,
persuaded them on the basis of their faith to hand over their retirement funds.
We're talking about tens of thousands of dollars that they apparently, without total
knowledge, we're handing over to what felt like the most trusted people in the country.
And the 3,000 word statement which we received is notable, Dan, because on the one hand, yes,
we asked for comment from all of the names that I referenced, the 14 or so sports figures,
celebrities that we gave requests for comment from, they said nothing.
We exchanged emails with Tim Tebow's representative, and in the end, they said nothing.
the institution itself points to its many Google review ratings.
And they have very high Google reviews.
When you go to Google Maps, you go and you click on LifeSurge,
and they will show you the 3,000 reviews all.
You said they were.
You're talking in too many places and your voice gets tired.
And so you say shit and you try to say other things.
Because you look tired this morning.
I am tired.
This took months.
and Tim Tebow is very popular.
I said,
should,
didn't really know where to lay.
You said,
same way Tom Brady did,
and you should just say,
excuse me, instead of doubling down.
How does Tebow,
how does Tebow being popular
make you exhausted?
The story of why this matters,
Zaz,
and the story of why I'm exhausted,
Tim Tebow has done,
is scheduled to do,
I want to get this number, right,
23 of these conferences this year,
alone. He is the face of it, and he's extraordinarily popular and charismatic and good at speaking.
He is somebody with the force of God behind him and his reputation. The origin of this story and why we
were taking so long to do it is because if we did not get our reporting nailed down,
we would be risking picking a fight in the eyes of some with somebody who has as much credibility
as any religious person in the world of sports. And the way this originated, by the way,
was we had heard about Life Surge and all of the rosters, like the posters, the faces on them.
It is insane how many stars they get to do this.
And we were watching this and probing it.
This is dating back to last year when we first started looking into this.
And parallel to that, we saw Tim Tebow showing up on Capitol Hill, giving these talks testimony,
literal testimony in front of Congress about child trafficking and child predators and all of these things that we do.
are fascinated by and oppose, right, preying on the most vulnerable people in America.
And what we were learning and what was so exhausting is that the rabbit hole of Life Surge
indicated to us, per our reporting, that there were people who thought that Tim Tebow was
part of an institution in Life Surge that was victimizing them.
And they alleged that they used religion, Life Surge did, to do it.
For those of you who have not yet caught up on what it is that we're talking about,
Pablo Tori finds out in his team, in coordination with Mother Jones,
have put out what feels like a documentary this morning.
And if this documentary had been on Netflix,
it would have already exploded just because of the amount of questions involved.
It is a more honest look, even in whatever it is,
that you think of Tim Tebow or scandal or white nationalism or Christianity.
it is an honest look at some things that are that don't feel right or seem right but are of our times
and is more honest than the Netflix documentary on the Gators that was celebrated in three parts
that had access and traded that access for we're going to make an easy popular thing but we're not
going to make this this is documentary quality work that Pablo has done and I'm assuming it's
just getting started so walk me through some of what it is that's happening here Pablo when I say
to people. And this is still in the allegation stage and there are still questions. You use
pixelated faces again today. Why? We have a current life surge employee who's on tape with us
attesting to the very things that people who have been not just leaving negative reviews, but
making these allegations outside of the company, we have that employee saying it inside of it.
You know, this is a big place, life surge, that I think people are perhaps right to have fear of retribution around.
And so we have the current employee.
We have a former employee.
We have an attendee who put in tens of thousands out for money and lost it and is talking to us about it.
We have another attendee who is a sports gambling addict who wound up putting in to life surge, not just his trust, but his money to help him.
him figure out how can I climb out of the hole that I have in my life. We have our reporter,
Akira Butler from Mother Jones, attending the conference as well. We have this sort of panoramic
view in addition to tapes and recordings and video from inside of this thing that tells the story,
yes, I think as a documentary would, but one that did not get formal access to it, but as a result,
got to be inside of it in a way that no one actually, I think, expected us to get. And so that's why
we protect everybody's confidentiality when it comes to them saying the thing that is dangerous to say in public.
It's because the question of blowing a whistle and the question of, will you say the thing that might put you at risk because you think that there are other people who deserve to know it, that the public interest matters that much?
That's a practice that for better and for worse, we're quite familiar with.
And I'm very glad in a very serious way that people continue to trust us to protect them on that.
If you are watching or listening to what Pablo airs today, you will hear Tim Tebow give a great life coach motivational speech that feels like a sales speech meant for you to, you know, invest in real estate after an initial fee of $49 that then can become the preying on the elderly, allegedly, if you believe the most nefarious things.
My question to you, Pablo, about Tim Tebow is what is the range on what he can be guilty of?
here if he just claims total willful ignorance.
Yeah.
So I should say that life surge has been accused and has now exchanged notes with us in
that 3,000 word statement about, you know, why are you guys targeting single moms?
Why are you targeting the most vulnerable customers you have, it seems, according to the
reporting in the course of upselling them to, yeah, $40,000 training programs, right?
It starts at $99, then $97, then $40,000.
How do you get those people?
And the thing that the people that we talk to keep asking those attendees and those people
who allege that they've been scammed is, what did Tim Tebow know about this?
What did these celebrity athletes know about this?
Because that was the bait, right?
Come meet this very famous person.
And so, Dan, for your question, like, what's the most generous interpretation of it?
famous person, come meet this God, this disciple for our times, the best representative there is of
religious and religion anywhere in American sport, a pure spirit and soul that represents all the best
things that character is in sports and a soldier for America.
The guy who you can trust to go to Capitol Hill and tell our politicians to stop all the child
molesters, right? That guy, he has that credibility. The most pristine reputation in all of sports
you can argue. I think that the more you examine him, the more you realize that that is exactly
the brand that he's built. And for good reason, again, if you watch him, he's really good
to talk about this. He criticizes, he will do the thing that football players are very low
to do. He will criticize and actually diminish the importance of football to say, play silly games,
win silly prizes. Let's talk about the real thing that you should care about, which is your faith,
right? He does that. It's very effective. The thing that
people ask about is what did he know and when did he know it? Because the way it works is you're
out of basically a 10-hour music festival. The headliner is Tim Tebow. Mike Ryan knows all about this.
Leave the biggest name for the very end of the show, right? Stick through all of the smaller acts.
And the big guy ends up enabling the exposure for everybody who is less famous and less credible.
So it's that sort of Coachella dynamic, but it's Tim Tebow.
Well, that's what I want to talk to you about because Tim Tebow, from people that I know,
know that are close to him.
Like, this guy's the real deal.
Real deal.
He does a lot of...
Sweet person.
He does a lot of great work.
Lots of really good stuff.
Yes.
So I'm more inclined because it's Tim Tebow, because of the reputation that he is
deservedly earned because of his good work, I'm inclined to just believe he's gotten caught up
in something here.
And he is a victim.
What's a you?
We gave Tim Tebow every opportunity to explain this because we wanted to know,
exactly what he knew and when he knew it.
So here's the range of options, right?
At the far end, at the most cynical, the dude is headlining.
23 of these conferences this year.
23 of them.
He shows up, he gives his speech.
He knows all these people, right?
And these people, by the way, as we detail in the episode, they themselves are trailed with a legal history that involves previous alleged misconduct when it comes to fraud.
So there's just that part of it.
Do you know the people that you're in business with as you show up dozens of times a year?
So there's that part.
The other part, though, is let's just say that he's at minimum oblivious.
And we leave that door open.
But we also now have acquired tape of what appears to be Tim Tebow, specifically encouraging people to buy the classes, these quote unquote impact classes that result in the very alleged predation that we've been talking about.
the thing that escalates at tens of thousands of dollars.
So it's a question of responsibility.
And I'm totally open.
And I am, spoiler alert, we end our episode asking after trying every which way,
texting his personal cell phone number, going through his representatives,
going through life surge.
They knew all the questions ahead of time, as we often do, right?
We give all our cards on the table.
And we say, what is your response to this so that we don't get this story wrong?
to Mike, to your point.
And we end the episode calling for Tim Tebow, inviting him to speak, to explain why it is that all
these people have these questions about him, as we do now, having talked to them, and give
us the explanation so that we can have specificity around what you knew and when you knew it.
Because maybe it is total ignorance along that spectrum.

Your brain does not care that World Mental Health Day is October 10th.
Trust me, it doesn't.
Stress doesn't check the calendar.
Burnout doesn't send an invite.
And that thing you've been overthinking, of course it waits until 1147 at night to suddenly
become the most important thing in the world.
Mental health is part of everyday life, so you don't have to wait for some huge moment
to focus on it.
Therapy can be a place to work through the smaller things too.
Work stress that follows you home, a relationship that feels off, and something you just quite can't put your finger on.

We're going to get that off the ground.
World R-R-3, colon, our group chat has a pretty good feeling about this one.
This is the Dan Leverter show.
Someone needs to explain.
Well, but here's the thing, though, okay?
And again, all of this is still questions and allegations.
And Pablo continues to do dangerous and upsetting work,
but also this episode is not blasphemous, okay?
He is respecting the person and it's not mocking of religion.
But if you say total ignorance, I'd be willing to buy it before today.
But can a man of God and faith and principles keep doing this job after this report?
That is my question.
Once you see what we've done, once you read the email in which we've provided the detailed questions
about what we were going to say, and now you can actually listen.
and or see it, depending on how you want to consume, this weird video podcast that we do.
I think it is irresponsible to not talk in public to address the customers who made these
allegations and those that are waiting to sign up for the classes that seem, according to our
reporting, to be worryingly predatory in that sense of getting you to pay tens of thousands
of dollars to learn how to quote unquote invest.
these are people who are we live in economically to say the least right economically desperate times
these are desperate people often that are looking to trust someone to save them it's the premise
of religion except in this case they are allegedly the prey how can you possibly stay silent and
appear on this stage over and over and over again whether you're tim tibo or sage steel
or any of these people and dan i just got to say like i this is thank you for saying that it's not
about condescending to religion. This is actually taking it seriously. We live at a time at which
religion has been exploited generally to pray on people. This is not a new story under the sun.
What is new and different is the fact that we are actually providing evidence such that
the people involved allegedly have to answer questions in the world of sports. And sports we've
seen in and elsewhere in other cases, sports is popular enough where maybe people have to answer
those questions. I've got a couple of more questions, but let's get the Reaper in here real quick.
The Reaper, I want Pablo, somebody to select for Pablo. Let's get some music for the Reaper here,
something that plays with all the times that Pablo says, according to my reporting, or some such thing.
This is a very rough left turn right now. According to my reporting, what I'm able to report now,
according to my reporting, based on my reporting,
According to the reporting, we stand by our reporting.
According to my reporting, this annoying podcast continues to report.
According to our reporting, what our reporting suggests.
According to my reporting, both my critics, the people who poke holes in my reporting,
according to reporting, according to this reporting, people don't want your reporting to be true.
As I have also validated in my reporting, we are now reporting, as it has been
been reported and alleged. But then you add in what we reported the last episode. They're not listening
to the full story that I've reported about why this is in fact a scheme. I've had enough from the
people who are saying this reporting is bullshit. We sign off on Pablo Tori's reporting, which nobody else
has reported yet and not reporting. What my reporting indicates, that's now doubling what your
initial reporting is more than doubling your initial reporting. When I saw your report, right? Have you
talked to him about this reporting today? But the focus of our specific argument here concerned my own
reporting based on the reporting.
Mark, can I just jump in here to say that we reported as my reporting has indicated to me.
Truly in my reporting for my report.
How much more is there?
There's a lot of reporting, Pablo.
How much more is there?
Hey, you tell us.
Port all the time.
Now, Pablo, I have a report for you.
It bought time for the set change.
I got a report for you.
We got a comment here from Tim Tebow himself.
So I want you to respond to this.
He says, quote, go outside, nerd.
I ain't got time for your worthless time ends.
Pablo, do you have a response to Mr.
I just want to, this is, this is what I just did.
I quietly reached my hand to my keyboard, as the mean was talking,
pressed command T to open up a tab looking for Tim T.
Bo's statement, which I'd clearly not seen yet after months of reaching out.
And remembered that I'm working with a bunch of idiots.
Got you, nerd.
Who's picking for the nerd?
Easy.
Take it easy with that language.
You still got the phallic microphone.
I will not hesitate to do it again.
All right.
I'll pick for politics.
Thank you, Roy.
Good, no problem.
All right, you have the New England Patriots here.
They are at the Jagger.
They're a three-point dog.
You could put it back or try to do better than a three-point dog on the road.
I'm going to interlock my fingers with this one.
I'm keeping the Patriots.
All right.
you go. You will have to wear a costume if you do
not. Interlock your fingers.
He does that all the time. You know that for no
reason he uses
Yeah, I got the Patriots. No, I'm interlocking
the official posture of the smug.
Of course, that is. Put it on the pole.
Yes, put it on the poll. At Levitard
show. Just a couple of more
quick questions, though. Did you focus
on Tebow because he's the most famous
and it's got the most hypocrisy or
because he's doing the most of these events
and being paid the most? Or because
you're part of the Hollywood cabal that has always
had this guy in their crosshairs.
It pains me to investigate a fellow Filipino.
Tim Tebow was born in the Philippines.
He is a missionary.
I mean, look it up.
Tim Tebow was born in the Philippines, the son of missionaries, became a missionary himself.
I am somebody who is all in the Catholic church, man.
All the sacraments, I mean, got married.
I made Dan literally go to a Catholic service for my wedding.
like the whole thing.
I do not take Tim Tebow and his legend lightly.
The reason we investigate Tim Tebow is because he's doing 23 of these this year alone.
He is the most famous Christian athlete in America.
He is the face of this as alleged by many of the alleged victims.
And he also is the guy who is telling our politicians how they should watch out for predators.
He is almost the person we had to.
We didn't really have a choice when you actually get into.
what the story's about. Thank you, Pablo. Good seeing you. He is doing extraordinary, extraordinary
work. Today's Pablo Tori finds out is going to feel like a bombshell. I will be curious to see
how this stuff makes its way into the mainstream because you've got a lot of public
protectors here. And there are a lot of conflicted and compromised relationships here. And so I don't
know what becomes of this story. But right now, I will tell you that if everyone knew about this
story, it'd be leading all of the shows today because of how damaging this looks, even though
some of the stuff is just allegations and questions right now. I've got a quick national topic
that I want to run by Pablo real quick. Donald Trump has announced that he's, it's been announced
reported by Clay Travis that he's going to appear at the Texas Tennessee, don't call me that,
at the Texas Tennessee game. And I believe college game day is there. And using previous protocol for
having politicians on, Donald Trump fits that mold. Do you think he's approached ESPN? And
what do you think ESPN does if that's the case? I assume they end up giving Abdul Al-Said a Tuesday
slot during the 6 p.m. Sports Center as equal time. I assume that's what they do in response to that.
It's beyond the fact that there are some people on the college game day set and on these
college football broadcasts that are actually characters in the life search story, by the way.
if you're looking for the segue, there are some people working at ESPN who are the faces of life search.
Tim Tebow is just one of them.
It's worth noting that college game day has become like this giant town hall that is used by politicians all of the time.
And the parallel question is, do fans, customers feel like that's exploiting them or do they feel like it's celebrating them?
And I'm always calibrating my cynicism.
I actually love college game day.
I love the Pat McAfee field goal kicking thing.
I find myself watching that. I am a sucker for good content. But the way that politicians, by definition, have used it, I think, should raise the eyebrows of people who are wondering, where are all these politicians showing up? Is it because they love ball or is it because they love perhaps what's in our wallets?
Everybody, interlock your fingers here as we put this together in a form of prayer, please, as we read this tweet from Mark Kelly and then play some awesome video of Donald Trump speaking, but not being.
heard because he's banned so much media that you can't hear his voice anymore. State-run media,
state-owned enterprises, prosecuting political opponents, gifts from foreign countries, selling
pardons, massive amounts of money flowing into the president's bank account, and banners with his head
plastered on government buildings. None of this is normal. He's hysterical, this Kelly, and he's crazed.
What say you, Pablo? And he's right. We had Mark Kelly on my show months ago. He's in some ways,
the movie character that you'd want to stand up and give a speech.
I'm not saying I endorse Mark Kelly for president or anything like that.
I'm just saying the dude went to space and is a former like fighter pilot who has a
tour of duty and a bunch of medals that Pete Heggseth, the secretary of war,
you know, dismissed and made fun of and it's like that dude, okay.
We're gonna ignore that guy now.
The sort of centrist, left of center, war hero astronaut.
Got it. Different movies were watching, I guess.
Pablo does morning Joe as well, so he weaves in and out of the political waters.
But where is it that you stand on everything that's happened most recently, where it's just another, you know, Thursday, and you're just banning CNN.
You're banning Politico.
The United Nations is allowing CNN back in your building.
What do you got to mean?
I just think that one of the,
that's obviously a clear violation of the First Amendment,
but the crazier thing to me was he went to the UN General Assembly,
addressed literally the world,
and said about invading Venezuela,
to the victor goes to spoils,
except he didn't say to the victor goes to spoils because he f*** up the quote.
He says, to the victor and the spoils.
I'm like,
no.
Yeah, he messed up the quote so bad.
But the idea of just saying it out loud.
We invented, invaded Venezuela for the resources.
And then boasted about now, U.S. and Venezuela, we would control most of the world's crude oil.
I'm like, what in the world?
What's happening here where this is just, it's not just normalized, Pablo.
It's, I'm going to say it out loud, part of a speech to ostensibly a body of countries that come together for peace.
Not an echo chamber.
Tony, you know that moment at a party or a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks.
I know it well. It's usually when I show up. Everybody goes crazy.
Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it, but it's because Tony usually walks in with Quervo.
Walking like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Quervo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night.
It has that effect on people. It does. You usually take the credit for it. But again, it's the
quervo effect. It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts standing up.
Hootin and hollering. Keep it quervo. Keep it quervo, baby. Ah, folks, listen up. You wouldn't
want an offense alignment to play wide receiver, would you? No, you wouldn't. You need the right
person. You need the right equipment for the job. That applies to football, and it definitely
applies below the waist. That's where the lawnmower lineup from Manscape comes in.
Trusted by over 14 million men worldwide, the lawnmower go is slim, sporty, and straightforward.
Or if you like your grooming tools fully loaded, there's the all-new lawnmower ultra-gen-6 engineered with a premium alloy body.

Because that is one injury, folks. Nobody wants to explain.

Dan Levatar.
Yo, I'm not gonna lie.
Jonathan Sasslow.
I look good in red.
This is the Dan Levater show.
There's one thing I think as you assess elections and you assess what might resonate with people that I think is worth really hammering.
And unfortunately, I mean, it's not foreign policy.
It's not any of the other stuff.
It's not even, man, look at how evil they are from any sort of ethical level.
It's this administration is allegedly scamming this country out of money.
They are taking money out of your wallet.
This administration is the most corrupt administration economically and objectively that we've ever seen.
It is crypto wallets.
It is secret investments from the Middle East into all of these secret projects.
They don't get unveiled until it's too late.
And then when they do, people don't pay enough attention to it.
There's a clip that maybe you guys can find when I'm out of here.
It is Scott Jennings.
That just came out yesterday, I think.
It's CNN commentator Scott Jennings being asked by, I think, the fifth column podcast,
which is not like a leftist echo chamber at all.
And they ask him, do you think this administration has a corruption problem?
And just look at what a guy who is compromised by this alleged scam administration has to do to contort himself to answer that.
And wonder to yourself, how are these people still plausibly being elected?
It is a question and a story of scamming their own people, not just the left.
it's scamming their own people, which is also the story, allegedly, of Life Search.
Pablo, good seeing you. Great work. I will say it again, it's unusual that every couple of weeks,
I'm telling you, this is one of the best things you will see or here, done this week,
anywhere in the content-making business. I've told you before that I will miss the HBO Real Sports
of the world, the outside the lines of the world. I don't think that a lot of people are going to keep
investing in that. But what Pablo just released, casually on a Friday, should be the biggest story
in sports. It's Thursday. Also Thursday. Thank you, Pablo. Also, Chris Cody just, we're good. Chris Cody just
yawned actively while Dan was saying that. So appreciate you guys. Yeah, we're good. Do you guys play
Mark Fletcher, Malachi, Tony, against the Chippewa's on Saturday? Good question. Their list is favorable.
And I don't know. Wait, this is favorable? What does that mean? Favorable? That's a listing? Favorable. Now, they both
Malachi was impacted by his injury, but he played. He was used as a decoy, and Mark Fletcher, our best pass protection back. And keep in mind, we also lost Marty Browner's second best pass protecting back. They were out, so that's a reason why the offense will look like that. Do you play them against the Central Michigan Chippewas? Dan, you got, with Malachi, Tony, you got this head-to-head matchup that is a storyline all year with Jeremiah Smith. They're trying to out duel each other. You got the record book. You got a Heisman trophy can to see here.
I don't know.
Kind of win a national championship, Mikey.
If Malachi Tony tells you he's good to go.
That does matter, I suppose, although Jackson Dart told me he was good to go a couple of nights ago.
Well, he was healthy.
And he walked off the field.
Take note, Caleb Williams.
He wanted to get back into the game, and now he's out for at least the playoffs,
because they always want to get back into the game,
and you cannot allow the short-sighted to make long-term decisions.
Like, of course, everything is pressurized to make him want to go,
and this season is not about this game.
This season is about him being healthy at the end of the season.
I don't want to put load management in college football,
but if the hurricane offense goes from what it was in the first half
to what it was in the second half,
and it's all built on a stomach muscle of Malachi Tony
and nothing else, then you sit him for his own good
and for the good of your team, not just for your, not just for his own good.
Malachi.
It wasn't nothing else.
They lost two backs.
Elijah Lofton got hurt.
the interior of the offensive line was having its worst stay in maybe years.
So there was more to it.
But if this were at Wake Forest, those guys would be good enough to play, given the nature of their injury.
I'm being rhetorically flip when I say it's only Malachi Tony's stomach that the whole thing is built on.
But Mike, that offense does not go from 24 straight completions to how it looked in the second half, less than 100 yards, less than 15 in the fourth quarter, because of their running backs blocking.
That was not the advantage that they had in the first half, the running backs blocking,
because the disparity, the worst half of the season was put up by the Miami Hurricanes in the
second half and could have cost them easily that game.
The Miami Hurricanes could have easily lost that game because of how impotent they were
on offense in the second half and because their defense is a little bit broken from injury.
If I could pick one single reason as to why the Miami Hurricanes in the second half just decided
we're going to throw three-yard bubble screens and everything is going to be behind the line of scrimmage.
It'd be the combination of the interior lines not holding up and you don't have Mark Fletcher and Marty Brown to clean that up when they do get home.
I'm telling you, Dan, this is why you should be able to make trades in college.
This is the new evolution of college football.
Who would you trade for, Zaz right now?
I've got to get some help on this defense.
I got to make a trade.
Well, you need a blocking running back too because, Mike, you are saying you're disagreeing with me.
You're saying to me the difference between that first half and the second half is that both of their,
blocking black.
Mm-hmm.
You're talking to too many microphones.
Oh, no.
Dan, you're telling me you don't want a kid sitting in math class
and someone breaks it through and says,
hey, listen, kid, you've been traded to Boston College.
Also, on the defensive side of the ball,
a lot of has been made in the injuries that we face.
Ethan O'Connor was the number one rated cornerback,
according to PFF. Miami generated more pressures
at any team in the nation,
and I believe Armando Blunt is top ten in pressures in the nation.
for the edge rushing discourse that there is.
One of the greatest bits that this show has produced in years
is Zaz proposing that someone gets traded to BYU.
Is that, are you Mormon?
He's like, no, you are now.
I laugh so goddamn hard when you did that.
I love that.
Literally, that scenario moved me from trades in college
are dumb to we need trades in college.
Can?
Oh, sorry.
You're about to get traded, buddy.
You're about to get traded. You know where.
He was feeling so good.
This is what happened.
I'll tell you what just happened.
Because he just spread out.
Like he was so...
This happens with Cody sometimes.
He was so enjoying just having the entirety of your compliment wash over him.
And the fact that you were listening to him be funny that he forgot he wasn't on his own show.
Yeah.
Well, his show...
Did you watch that thing yesterday?
What?
Did you watch Zaslow's show 2.9?
I wish we had a still.
Dan, you remember the shirt Zaslo was wearing yesterday, right?
It's all gone to Zaslo's head.
Well, a head that is apparently disembodied.
I couldn't read that shirt with that background.
It was just a floating DVD screen loading, but it was Zaslo's head.
I could not make out a shirt.
I could.
You could not.
You could make out that 2.0, though, couldn't you?
I could.
It's just a floating head with that red-ass shirt.
You should play a clip.
Oh, you would like that one.
That wouldn't you?
Anything else that you want to say here?
I had some things, but my confidence is a little low right now.
Look at this.
How about some.
contrast, Zaz.
You know what?
That picture's bull-should.
You could have picked any picture.
I do a 40-minute podcast,
and you do one where I've had...
It looks like I have half a lip open,
and my eyes are half bleak.
That's bullshit.
Came from Team Zaslo.
That was what Team Zazlo said.
Use this as a picture.
Please.
Hey, Tony, do you hear who the guest is for Zashio 2.0 today?
No.
OJ, apparently.
What?
What a get?
What a get?
What a get?
That's a good get.
I want to, Don.
at the risk of ruining all the fun here into what Mike just said
because I'm having a hard time believing it.
No, but he says, so O'Connor is persona non grata in that secondary.
Like that guy, not just benched, but also, and I understand that he had the interception
and he had a very good rating, but I was under the impression that their secondary was
real weak and that dating back to last season, he was somebody that they did not, that was
losing trust.
No, no. O'Connor was getting plenty of snaps.
started the national title game,
had the opportunity to maybe house one,
went for the deflection when we all thought,
ah, he could have went for the pick there.
Ethan O'Connor's very solid.
Their secondary has, that's their weakness.
They have holes. No, well,
it's where they're most impacted.
I'd say their weakness is probably linebacker right now,
and most people would point to the edges
just because they don't have Mesidor and Bain.
My worry with this team is that a healthy quarterback
is going to be able to throw against them
because of how their secondary is injured
and because they're not going to be able to get to the quarterback with four.
So they're going to be blitzing and they're going to be susceptible to big plays with a young
and injured secondary if they run into the wrong quarterback.
I understand the fear hasn't happened yet.
And they have one of the deepest secondaries in the nation.
O'Connor's performance on Friday kind of proves that.
He has OJ on the show today.
From the Great Beyond.
Tony, you know that moment at a party or at a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks?
I know it well.
It's usually when I show.
