Te atreves a ver. The NBA draft is upon us. It's a time of celebration and um, and us are Thompson are tough. I picks. They're going to go very high in this draft. They're also identical twins. And so I thank you, gentlemen, for joining us. And I will start with you, a man. If you can tell me because you're identical twins, what are some of the things throughout your childhood that you two have fought about? Like what is the relationship between you two and how emotional is all of this as you guys
Starting point is 00:01:13 head into this, not apart, but together? You said the things we fought about, I'll probably say like, basketball obviously if um, if you weighed more and he was talking too much about it, we might fight if he wanted something, he was talking too much about it, we might fight. If he wanted something, he was talking too much about it, we might fight. I feel like we were always really competitive. So we fought over a lot of little things just out of competition. Can you explain to me, I'm in skipping college, doing it the way that you guys have done it because it's the NBA's got the G league instead of one and done and overtime has elite.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Do you think that skipping school is the future of what it is that we're going to be seeing in this sport given that you guys are top five picks now? I don't think it's going to be the future. I think you're going to see a lot of kids. I mean, it's going
Starting point is 00:02:03 to be the future somewhat. There's going to be kids who go to college, kids who go to G-League, or kids who go to OT. It's just gonna broaden like what you can actually do to get to the league. And what did you guys learn there? Just learn how to be a professional early on, you know, media trained.
Starting point is 00:02:20 We did financial classes, culinary classes. What is it called? Culinary. It's not culinary, but cooking. Yeah, cooking. We learned how to eat right and make food for ourselves. So we learned how to be a pro. I feel like earlier than a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:02:39 It is culinary. It is cooking classes because they're teaching you the development that is more than just schooling, right? It's about how to transition into becoming professional athletes, which we've seen can be pretty tricky. Do you feel like you're prepared for that portion of it? Can anybody be prepared for that? You know, I feel like I prepared to the best of my abilities. You know, I'm going to find out soon, but I feel I feel very prepared. You know, I'm excited to prepared to the best of my abilities. And you know, I'm gonna find out soon, but I feel very prepared, you know. I'm excited to get to the point where I could test that out.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Which one of you is the better athlete? Me, I'm giving it to myself. I think I'm the better athlete. I would say it's all right. You both said me, though. Which one of you's the better cook? Oh, me. I might give that to him.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Thank you. That's how you know I'm being honest. But I didn't get a clear answer or who's right about who's the better athlete? Because you both said you were each the better athlete. I'm right about being the better athlete. We have test improvement. He has cooler dunks. That's about it.
Starting point is 00:03:39 He does cooler dunks, so everybody thinks he's the better athlete, but it's a lot closer than people think but if he asked me it's like this. What do you do cooler? Everything else. Wow everything everything else. One of the tests that prove it. Very court of sprint. Very court of sprint. Vertical test. How are you going to say vertical? That's that's this movement. What is movement? The vertical we've been we've been switching off who gets the highest. Oh don't do that. Don't do that've been we've been switching off who gets the highest. Oh, don't do that. Don't do that. We haven't switched off who gets the highest, but there's a reason why you don't don't do that. Then how about now always get that next question. Oh, man. Well, what's the reason?
Starting point is 00:04:19 Jesus. We're wondering. We are wondering what the reason is now. Yeah, it says, that's what just say the reason. No, no reason, no reason. I didn't mean to create some conflict between you, but does it matter who gets drafted first from among you? Like if, obviously, it's a monster accomplishment to arrive at the draft and to be somebody who's a top five pick, but one of you is going to go before the other is the other one going to be talking shit about that. He's probably, he might, I'm not going to care.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Let's stop it. I don't care about it, but if I get dropped at first, it's just a joke, but I definitely would, I definitely make that joke for sure. And I think he would do the same. Well, you're expected to go number four to the rockets and one reporter was quoted, a team, quoted a team source saying, of you, man, he's the best athlete anyone has ever seen.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Oh, oh, wow. I mean, I'll take that, that's true. I'll take that. Do's true. I'll take that. Do you guys ever trick people with your identical twins that has to be something that you've been doing for a while, correct? We only did it like one time ever. And like a DC school trip.
Starting point is 00:05:39 We just switched shoes because everybody knew him for having black nikes. And everybody knew me for having a white nikes. So we just switched shoes and everybody was throwing off. And what happened after that though? Like how was everyone thrown off for how long were they thrown off? Just the rest of the night.
Starting point is 00:05:55 I really did it for a night. It wasn't something, I was too scared to do it for like a class or something. Oh, I guess yeah, you conspiratorially, you could do stuff, you could probably get away with things by doing it, but you were too scared? Oh yeah, I was, yeah, you conspiratorially, you could do stuff. You could probably get away with things by doing it, but you were too scared? Yeah, I was definitely too scared.
Starting point is 00:06:09 I was scared too. Devin, what happened? Explain it to me, because you thought what was gonna happen? I just, I was like, we were just like normal, like, goody-to-shoes kids. We didn't do anything crazy. So I never thought of switching. If you were like, switch, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:06:26 I don't really wanna get in trouble for that. Well, why didn't you, why didn't you do something really crazy and then just blame the other one? Like that's what you do if you have an identical twin, right? You can do whatever you want and then just blame your brother.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Like a home invasion. Yeah. Yeah. That took a turn. Not like Austin. Yeah. I feel a good turn. Not like Austin. Yeah. I feel like that would, I feel like he's done that before, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Home of Asian. Yeah. Home of Asian. All of it. Like if a man starts walking around and saying he has a higher vertical loop, then just go out and like, you know, minor crime and then just say I'm a man.
Starting point is 00:07:02 And then he doesn't get drafted and then you're the better athlete. I should tell them he didn't even work out for Houston and it was really me. They got it mixed up. That's what I should say. Classic American. They're encouraging that behavior. That's crazy. They're happy about it. Man explain to me why you guys were goody-two shoes. What was happening there? Why did you become rule followers? Rule followers?
Starting point is 00:07:26 I don't know. I think I was just born like that. I don't know. I didn't really care about, I didn't care about just causing trouble. I just wanted to chill. So I chilled. It's really not even that hard.
Starting point is 00:07:40 You just gotta, I don't wanna say the word again, but you just gotta relax, I don't want to say the word again, but you just got to relax, chill out. Rule follower. I don't know. Rule follower is extreme. I don't know. Do either of you two believe in alien life? Yeah, definitely. Yeah, so you've noticed all the additional UFOs going around. There was that family that said that they saw aliens in their back yard. Do you think we're on the precipice of a full-on invasion? I'd hope not. I'd hope my kids would like if I have kids that happens there in their time.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Fighter flight. Fighter flight. If the aliens come, are you going to wait to be diplomatic about it? Or are we going to go all like go back to the kids saying why are you having kids and wishing alien abduction? I'm wishing say great grandkids. Okay. Okay. The people, my bad, my great, great grandkids.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Oh my, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we don't need the wish it on anybody. Really? We don't need the wish it on anybody. I bet, thank you for all the things. I think about like this, eventually my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandkids, the world's gonna explode. There's, they're not going to be here
Starting point is 00:08:46 anyway. Why? Why is the world going to explode? The world's going to end this going burn out. Yeah, really? Yeah. Well, the sun is about to explode. Yeah. Next two years. Yeah. Exactly. Next two years. Next two years. Well, it's an aggressive timeline. I've heard anywhere like from that to 200,000, 200,000 water soon. I heard billions, to be honest. Really? You worried about the orcas? The orcas, I'm not a big fan of orcas. They look kind of scared.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Really? It's a great call. Yeah, I don't think what. Can't be a great situation if they're nicknamed killer whales. Yeah. It's all saying, I don't think they're fish either. Yeah, it's a good thing. That's what they're, they're whales though.
Starting point is 00:09:23 I think they're not fish. Thank you. And important distinction. Thank you. You're right. They're not fish. Easier. You just wanted to say the F word.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Do you think that it's not trying to help you? The alien invasion could be an opportunity to really galvanize a human race. So we all have our differences. The world, it's a pretty messed up place. If we have an alien invasion, we all have to band together, Randy Quaid, Independence Day style. Like it could actually make a stronger and a long run.
Starting point is 00:09:52 I agree with you. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think I'd want to be a la, I don't want to experience any apocalyptic type, anything. Well, those are the guys I want on my team. Or it could be, it could be liable, where it becomes humans versus humans. Yeah, those are the guys I want on my team. Or it could be it could it could be liable. Where it becomes humans versus humans. Yeah, it'd be the worst. Yeah, we resort to
Starting point is 00:10:11 our like original sin basically that did. Well, it all just descended to chaos and it all looked like the purge. That's one of my fears. I'm more afraid of man than I am in the aliens. Facts. That's makes sense. Yeah, facts. Yeah. What is the eggs and the guy and the baby, you know, what movie is that? That's alien to it. It's actually alien. It's all on the nose, but the movie is alien. Gentlemen, thank you for your time. We've got the outfits picked out. Have we seen each other's outfits for the night? Who? I haven't seen in person, but I know what it looks like. So both of you have seen what your outfits look like, but who's got the better? Who's got the cleaner look?
Starting point is 00:10:55 Me. I think me depends what you like. I don't think you should ask any more comparison questions. I ask any more comparison questions. It's not getting any more. Gentlemen, thank you. Enjoy the draft, you're right. You're just gonna keep arguing about it. I'm gonna keep asking you who's better at something and each of you are gonna say me. You're probably, I think y'all ruined the night.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I'm not gonna lie. You're on the rest of the day. Is there any chance when the first one of you gets drafted, the other one goes up on stage? Yeah, you both go together and then they have to determine which one of you just got drafted Yo, we should both stand up at the sands on Both pretend to be on the phone at the same time with the team. Completely mess up. They can't make a ham on like, I was at the... Thank you gentlemen, good luck and congratulations.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Yes sir, thank you.
