What is the last few months? This is all very awkward, right? You show up at media day, Tyler Heroes, your teammate, you love Tyler Hero, but for months, you've been hearing Damien Lillard is coming to Miami. So what have the last couple of months been like for you? I just work here, you're muse by it, you're following it,

you care deeply. Control what you can control. I can't control what happens beyond trades and stuff like that. But at the end of the day, man, I was ready for it to just happen. Because like I said, guys got families, guys got kids. The biggest thing for everybody is to get acclimated and be happy and get settled

whatever that. So, you know, thankfully it happened and you know, I still have Tyler. What are you saying to him when you're in contact with him? Because you guys are friends, right? Like, do you congratulate him? How does all of this work when you're, you know, you want to get an extra piece one piece it's talked about for weeks and months you obviously want a player of that caliber your

friends with him and then you're you can't yes control what you can control but you have the expectation that he would be here did you not yeah you definitely have that what if he what if this does happen and then you also have the aspect of what if it does happen so you know also have the aspect of what if it does happen. So you know, for me, going in is just optimistic and just waiting to see what happens. Take me through your experience in the finals last year, Bam. He seems, Joe Kitch, like someone who is very strong, unusually skilled, even for someone like you who is unusually strong and unusually skilled for your size. All of that seemed overwhelming even though

you played well against him or as well as can be played against him. The thing that I respected about him was he kept it about his teammates and his team and that fact that he wanted to win. It had nothing to do with his solo accolades or what he could do he kept about the team so i really respected that understand that you would appreciate that but i'm asking you about the physical menace that he is like all of that has never existed in that body you

are unusually strong for your size i'm asking like you it's rare no matter who you're up against you can guard all sizes it's rare for a guy to uh... have efficiency against you but he has a efficiency against everybody there is no guarding him so that you know that why you accidentally that i'm because i'm asking you what that feels like physically because i don't know what it feels like physically he seems like isn't that the job of a reporter to ask the guy who actually lives in the arena what it was like

He thinks it's funny on media day to wear ridiculous uh... wigg that that's not a wigg by the way that's his hair that's that's actual here yeah he earned it my bad i'm sorry you know what i'm sorry it i didn't that's a fine that's not a fine he ironed his hair my bad uh... yeah i i mean he's just misunderstood he He's going through, you know, this, you know, we all go through phases in our lives. He, he, he didn't hit the emo phase when he was twill. His emo phase is 34. Yeah. So it's a weird timing to have an emo phase after

not acquiring Damien Lillard though. Hey, man, I mean, I guess I just, that's how he had those things. We all knew Jimmy was different from the moment he walked in. It's Arena. What is the best that BAM has ever felt on a basketball court? Is it game seven in Boston last year? I would say game six versus Boston in the bubble. I felt like at that time, everybody had everything they needed. I felt like the bubble was the hardest place to be, even though people try to say,

it's the bubble. But when you take people away from their families, and they're day-to-day lives, and put them in, a type of made up land, I guess you could say, where there is no travel for real. You know, you see your opponent after playing them, going to dinner. It was a very different way of living in the bubble. So I'll say the bubble.

You're of the belief though, that you are practicing right now with the next gay Vincent and Max Struse, that they're there somewhere uh... i would say gave incident max truce but i feel like we do have guys that are under radar that are going to make a name for themselves soon by chance is there a next day me and lila hanging around as we really appreciate my mic mic is bad mic mic is mad at the team b Like, I don't want to pitch you against each other, but Mike is mad because his hopes,

they got very high with a finals team that was adding Damien Lillard. And now again, the Miami Heat Swing and Miss on a, on a big addition. And I go to the competitors within our own Eastern conference. Everyone seemingly gets better. But I did say credit to you guys. I said that last year, where it seemed like everyone in the East made the necessary moves and you guys stayed pat and it ended up working out for you.

But I feel like we're tempting fate because they've just gotten that much better. It's asking a lot of you guys. I mean, the thing about a trade is like, both people have to agree. And I feel like on our end some people agree and on their end That is what happened you know you have that correct. That's exactly what happened there. Yes So I don't think I don't think you can be mad at us too much

We had no say so in that You have this exactly right everyone in Miami agreed that Damien Lellard should be here very cheap and free and help the Miami Heat and only the Miami Heat and no one else agreed with that. And nobody else agreed with it because we made it to the finals. So I guess that's what it is. But we've been on this road before and obviously people are doubting us and saying we can't do it again but somehow we always figure it out. Bam I am wondering on the road you love Chinese food I love Chinese food and I am wondering well I have two questions on the Chinese food front. First off what's your

go-to order for Chinese food? Oh it's honey chicken you gotta go honey chicken. Bork fried rice. You said what? I said honey chicken. Hey, don't you? Don't Chinese food shame me. I like honey. I know. I like honey chicken. I was volunteering that the Chinese food order.

A question that came out of nowhere. It's actually later, if you want. I know, but I wanted everyone to know that the order was for bam. I know. Well, honey chicken and pork fried rice is all I'm saying. I would say sesame seed chicken with some white rice and you gotta add duck sauce. Nice.

For the rice. The menu hack. You have to finish it off with a fortune cookie because if you don't have the fortune cookie, it's like a stamp, right? You have to, right? That is true. You cannot move on to dessert

without eating the fortune cookie. The fortune cookie does have a big deal with the Chinese food. You definitely have to get one. But I feel like they already come with the order anyway. Right, but some people throw them away. They don't eat them. I don't waste them. That's what I'm saying. What a strange thing for you to celebrate here. Thank you. You're thanking him for profusely for liking fortune cookie after asking your question about Chinese food. Then you have to have them. If you leave the fortune cookies off to the side of throwing the garbage, you haven't had a full Chinese food experience.

I think that we should confront Bam and tell him that his order is mid. I believe his order is mid. My order is mid and you said honey chicken. Yeah. Easy honey chicken. What do you mean honey chicken is magical? It's basic. What's my
