Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffeine's Network. I'm not afraid to admit it to you guys. I enjoy when there is genuine tension in these offices. I think creative stuff needs some sparks. The stuff with Tony and Billy is good. And now Jeremy is bumping up against somebody that I don't think many people here have bumped up against. Mike has accrued a great deal of power over here. Mike vetoed me on four things this week. And I slinked back in here defeated because he is, he's got a lot of power in the company and Jeremy continues to
Starting point is 00:00:46 badger Mike. Well, that you trust him. I mean, well, that's why he has a lot of power in the company. I mean, he protects you from you. He protects me from me. That's what he does. Yes. That's one of the many things that he does, but also what he does is he sort of rises up like a cobra, like a cobra. His back gets real wide. That's a good shrunk snake. I like it. When the back room dares challenge any of his... It's a garden snake.
Starting point is 00:01:13 I want to have been pissed. His takes. And Jeremy is doing something that hasn't happened around here real often, where he's saying, not Mike, you're kind of wrong about some stuff regarding the Miami Heat. And you're beginning to piss me off with how you go back and forth on the Miami Heat that you're that you, I mean, we saw this last year that you celebrate them when they're doing well barely, but when they're not doing well, it confirms your belief that they're not any good.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Right. And I'm held accountable and was forced to apologize directly to five members of the Miami Heat last year. And this year, that's a great win over a team like the Indiana Pacers that are also competing for a play in spot. This guy walks in here after the weekend, after not watching the games and says, oh, see what happens when you play a real team, not talking about no, bam, no, Jimmy, no Tyler, no Duncan against the nets. Like, I think my frustration stems from being cornered into being a, a homer, being positioned
Starting point is 00:02:13 as a homer for offering, for offering legitimate analysis on this team consistently, biased, consistently bringing educated analysis to the table, watching the team, you're making me fair and balanced by comparison. This is great. Paid by the team. Recording, not paid by the team. No, but actually in the locker room, speaking to players, paid by the team, shadow puppet by the team.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Put it on the pole at Levitage show is Jeremy covering the team, falling over the team or a shadow puppet or all of the above. No, could that a win? I want them to answer the question I'm asking. But the reality here is that when you're walking in and firing off takes, when you're firing off takes weeks and weeks after I've done it being positioned as the Homer, it isn't furiating. And I'm not afraid to buck up against the reality of the situation. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Well, play this video. You claim that you had your Homer take before I had my Homer take. We'll watch the video together and make a see I'm fair and balanced. I can, I can see from the 16th of November. This is an investigation. Okay. This is a can I can see from the 16th of November this is an investigation Okay, this is a Jeremy has from the 16th of November. Okay, I already have my thoughts. Okay, go for it Let's just play this video. No, wait a minute He went back in the file and what he found is he's claiming Jeremy with the help of a whole bunch of people what they found
Starting point is 00:03:40 Jeremy claims it's him saying the thing before you said the thing. Okay. Let's play the video. Yeah. Well, Jaime Hock is junior has been fantastic and offensively. He's really already grown into a guy who he probably won't leave the rotation. And now the heater just looking almost at an embarrassment of riches when it comes to their rotation because now the Caleb Martin comes back tonight. This team is really deep.
Starting point is 00:04:01 I mean, or really lucky to be playing the Chicago Bulls into out of the next three. And then after that, the schedule gets really deep. I mean, or really lucky to be playing the Chicago Bulls in two out of the next three. And then after that, the schedule gets really difficult. And yes, it's cool to say that they're third in the East. There are also two games away from being 11. I think they're closer to being 11 now. I'm not really sure where you were right there, but whatever it was, I said it before you. I brought Jaime Hock is junior in his offensive development to the table. Two weeks ago. What? I was all over. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:27 No, you were not. Yeah, no, he's my guy. What was the first time you said it, much? I said you can't trade hakez for Lillard. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not gonna go into my, see, this is great stuff. He said, he said stuff. Yeah. Now you know why I'm a cobra. I'm not gonna deadly snake. I'm not gonna go into my phone and get the direct quotes.
Starting point is 00:04:55 But I'm gonna paraphrase here on the last conversation I had with Mike when I'm telling him, Mike, I'm talking to people around the team here and they keep telling me that they're deeper and Mike Ryan's only response was in deeper shit. Well, that's also right. Why do you guys think Paul's not with the team as such great bad guys? They also told you they weren't trying to trade Tyler era.
Starting point is 00:05:18 I mean, after telling you that they, it was Tyler hero or, or take it or leave it. That's my point. You think you're getting the truth from the team now No, from the players who you're speaking to. I trust my floor. You trust, okay. This is why it makes me uncomfortable. This is like, this is like, this is like,
Starting point is 00:05:30 this is a puzzle versus a puppy. Okay, well, we will continue to stoke these fires. Maybe we can figure out a way after many years to make Miami-Head talk interesting. I doubt our audience rejects it. I was right. It's working. Yeah, no, it's a great segment.
Starting point is 00:05:43 We're going over the last five games. Josh Richardson, your boys averaging 16 points for revamped and jute and 54% from the field. Okay, well let's wait on that one. We are going, we are going. But yeah, I'm gonna, you know what? I won that debate. He already knows.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I won. After 82, we are, he knows he won. When he dribbles that ball off of DJ College pillow, you're gonna be coming back to me. We are gonna open up the club here, Stugatz, in just a second, but I wanted to ask you, what you imagine I shouldn't even be asking you this. You're a terrible person, too, Ash. Well, thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:19 What do you imagine an embarrassment of riches looks like? Like being embarrassed by... Taylor Martin, clearly. I can't imagine being embarrassed with any sort of riches. Oh, is this Haywood Heights Smith over here? You guys are gonna look so stupid. I'm just saying, to be embarrassed,
Starting point is 00:06:34 I'm so rich. What's there to be embarrassed by? You're rich. I have a clue. I'm simply asking, what the, I'm not asking, I'm asking, I'm asking in life, like walking into a room and I'm like, there's a gold chalice.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Wow, there's a whole lot of opulence over there. I have someone playing a harp 24 hours a day. Am I embarrassed now, not yet? How about a flume that just gives me milk chocolate and gold? Like, what does an embarrassment of riches look like? I think you've gotta find somewhere in like the upper middle class because I think the only way that you could be embarrassed
Starting point is 00:07:08 by the amount of riches you have is if you were embarrassed enough to not become truly, truly so rich that you have so many riches. And you know, Nicholas Cage is doing a movie right now where he plots to seal Orlando Robinson. What? I don't think. He was pretty good last night. That the people who are richest are
Starting point is 00:07:27 ever embarrassed. Right. Why would you be? Well, I don't know where the phrase comes from. Who started that? Who was the initial person to be embarrassed by their rich? Is that Thomas over here? Is that Thomas Ryan over there? But that's why the heat are perfect, right? Because all the the lottery picks are mid round or middle of the first round lottery picks. They have all these undrafted guys. So mid round, or middle of the first round lottery picks. They have all these undrafted guys. So they're not the rich of the rich who've been drafting at the beginning, where it's all these high-touted prospects.
Starting point is 00:07:51 They can have an actual embarrassment of riches. Stop talking about the heat. I'm speaking on behalf of the audience there. It's just the sound I heard echoing as if it were in the Grand Canyon being shouted by the millions of people that Spotify isn't giving us credit down the middle, down the middle, Jeremy. It was Jon O'Zell, by the way, back in 1726. Two games out of not being in the plan. French playwriter.
