Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This is a paid advertisement from BetterHelp. As a podcast listener, you've heard from us before. Today, let's hear what members have told us. One member said, I would recommend my therapist 1,000 times over. She has truly changed my life. Another member said, the day after my first 1,000 times over. She has truly changed my life. Another member said, the day after my first session,
Starting point is 00:00:27 my friends and family said I sounded like myself again for the first time in weeks. You deserve to invest in your wellbeing. Visit betterhelp.com to see what it can do for you. That's better, H-E-L-P.com. I don't know if you guys have seen this video. It's been kind of talked about and there's now video out. I guess the game happened this time or a game if there's been more than one game.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Glow in the Dark Baseball is becoming a thing. What? Like, like Cosmic Bowling but for baseball? Yeah, Cosmic Baseball. Yeah. What? So like they turn off the stadium lights, they turn on, you know, like black lights or whatever. And then all of a sudden
Starting point is 00:01:06 the game is being played in the dark and glow in the dark, which seems really cool, but I feel like has entry written all over it. How do you see the ball? I feel like the home run wall should be lit up. Right, the warning tracks at least, jeesh. The baselines, there are a bunch of holes in this. The ball doesn't even look like it's lit up, is it?
Starting point is 00:01:23 The ball does fall. How do you see it? That'd be wild if the ball was not. I'm watching it? The ball does ball it. How do you see it? That'd be wild if the ball was on TV. I'm watching it on TV and on my computer. I can't see it. It was featured on the Today Show. It's a work in progress, though. I've seen a pitch.
Starting point is 00:01:33 You definitely see the ball. You see the ball, but how can you see the laces? It seems very difficult to read the ball. Right, to pick up on an off-speed pitch. OK, now I see it. Well, now I lost it again. There it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Savannah Bananas bananas do work. Yeah. What, yeah, what league is this? An awesome one. Right. This reminds me of like, this is the Coastal Plain League, which I assume is independent baseball. They look like they're about to play a sick game
Starting point is 00:01:58 of laser tag. Oh man, laser tag. They closed the one in my area. Like there was like a two story. I went like in my twenties. Like it was something like a two story. I went like in my 20s. Like it was something. Really? I hadn't been in a few years.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Maybe that's why they closed. The pandemic got it. Yeah, laser tag to the Metal Rock Olympics. Yeah, when is that? Are we allowed to talk about that? Or is it still in works? We doing summer games or winter games? It's in the TBD stages.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Summer games. We're not doing skeleton or luge. Yeah, I tell you how that, can we talk about this on air? This is how this worked out. Chris is organizing the Metal Arch Olympics. I just pitched it. And Chris sent out an email to all of us saying, hey, we have these four events,
Starting point is 00:02:35 which ones are you guys interested in, right? No one wanted to do them. Jessica said, I can do this one and that one. And then I said, I could do this one and that one. And then Roy came in and just invented a sport that wasn't on there. He was like I can do mini golf. Yeah. You're like that wasn't on the list. Yeah and then I said like I could do this one and that one and I put like archery or other things that weren't on there and then the whole chain just became a bunch of events that no one suggested. Just people naming events. People were just naming events. Just things they could do.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Yeah willing to do. To piss off Chris. Poor Chris is there trying to organize it and no one's committing to any of his events and just throwing in new events That they wanted I was going for things that are like visually funny. Yeah, one of them was canoeing well that It is one to canoeing That one actually might happen the canoe like I'm still holding I hope that one actually volunteered for that one the one that I wanted to do is like diving He wanted to swimming he wanted you and Dan to go diving swimming. And no one wants to put on a bathing suit. Where we have judges, like you and Dan go up to the
Starting point is 00:03:28 No one wants me and Dan to put on a bathing suit. No, no one wants to volunteer to be in a bathing suit. It's the gist of it. Right, and I can't explain enough. To America's, some of your coworkers can't swim. Yeah, that was another thing. No stereotyping here, but. Define swimming, like what are we doing?
Starting point is 00:03:42 Well no, I had a really. Diving. I'm not diving. In the Olympics, there's two different things. You are diving. I can't dive! But I was diving, yeah. That's why it's funny. I had diving, where we'd have judges,
Starting point is 00:03:49 and you and Dan would be like, someone that we'd go over the table, seven, eight, so like, you know. Right. Can I produce this? Like, diving should be soccer. And it should be like a hit, and then you're taking like a dive.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Swapping? Yeah, exactly right. And then swimming race, like they do in Michael Phelps. I will do that. I'll do that. Okay. I'll be Dan Your dad should tap in for you. You can swim my dad's a great swimmer. All right, we got it Yes, my dad's been swimming like hundreds of last
Starting point is 00:04:15 I don't believe that no he had Billy. Yes, you think you could be Dan in a swimming race Dan. Yeah, of course Yes, he swam here no Dan trains like that I bet I would not be surprised if Dan swims once a week Dan to be like Mark Spitz we're not making them more as we just saying you ain't more Dan We're not making him more at speed, we just saying you ain't more at speed. He's got longer arms, I might go. Whoa, Dan. Against Sugata's dad, I'm confused. Sugata's dad all the way. Freestyle. My dad, freestyle?
Starting point is 00:04:52 I'll beat him. In a swimming race. Yeah, how far? I don't know. Is it, I think that's why Phelps is tall, longer people generally, I feel like, create more, I don't know the science. You're probably right, but it's Dan. I think Chris just wants to see how the speedos.
Starting point is 00:05:06 You guys think Dan swims? We talked about their cruise experience earlier. They do, they think Dan swims. When has he ever talked about swimming? He's got like a trainer, I could see every Sunday morning. I show up at 5am and I swim seven lines. I could see Dan doing shit like that. I just think he can beat Stu Gass.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I'm not saying he can beat Katie Medeke. My dad's a professional swimmer. Well your daddy is. I just think he can beat Stu Guys. I'm not saying he can beat Katie Madecki. I'm saying he can beat Stu Guys. My dad's a professional swimmer. Dad. Well, your daddy is. I'm not a professional swimmer. I can swim, Juju. I think Stu Guys could swim.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Let's peel that one a little deeper. Stu Guys smokes so much, he doesn't need to come up for air as much as a non-smoker. Your dad's a professional swimmer? His lungs have been working out. Got carried away. It's science. Better calves, LeBron or Dan.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Fuentes.
