Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. Welcome to the big, sweet, presented by Giraffe King. Why are you listening to this show? The podcast that seems very similar to the other Dan Levitard podcast. I'm sorry, I'm not going to apologize for that. In fact, the only difference seems to be this imaging. I have been tempted in restaurants, just walking past tables to grab somebody's fries
Starting point is 00:00:33 that if they're just there. That hasn't happened to you guys. I've done it. And now, here's the marching band to nowhere, that face and the habitual liar. Just to God, I'm excited about a couple of different things going on at levitardaf.com. We've got the Mast Vegas shirts available. People are really liking the way those look.
Starting point is 00:00:54 And one of the things I've been most excited about in a while because I think that Juju has extraordinary taste. He is very discerning uh... stylistically we've got a segment of shirts designed by judu judu's jewels that are apart from some of the other stuff that we're doing where he's got his own section on stuff he creates everybody loves his shirts to gots uh... because among others i think the favorite one that people have so far, I don't know if I have this right
Starting point is 00:01:26 I would have to ask somebody with a little more expertise But the one of you dressed as a marijuana leaf whenever it is that you were dressed as a marijuana leaf That that was something that at one point was selling very well and so he's got a very artistic eye He does it. I had dinners to God's last night with the all the smoke guys. I'm really excited about what we're going to do with them over the next couple of years. And not surprisingly, because juju knows everybody, Steven Jackson could not stop talking about how much he loves juju in general, that he's
Starting point is 00:02:07 known him for a long time. And he couldn't have spoken in more glowing terms about the guy here that brings more positivity around here than almost all of us combined. It's nearly impossible not to love juju, nearly impossible, but Dan, did you smoke or how much smoke? Well, we were in a restaurant. I was, I was, I was it, I was not all the smoke. I was not even smoke adjacent. I was just generally, uh, near the smoke.
Starting point is 00:02:34 A freight of the smoke coughing around the smoke, uh, uncomfortable in smoke. Uh, I have those stugots, a text that I just received that will legitimately delight you. Are you ready? Yes. Please tell stugots that I'm relieved
Starting point is 00:02:54 to be done with the patriots as well, Seth Wicker's ship. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. He's final deep dive. What does that say? Yeah, yeah, yeah. he has just texted me and said that he liked you is also sick of the Patriots. He doesn't want to be around any of this anymore. He is tired of the deep dives, tired of their winning.
Starting point is 00:03:17 He's relieved that Bell and Check is having a second interview with Atlanta and just get the Patriots out of his life. He doesn't want to talk about the flaky footballs. He doesn't want to talk about Tom Brady not liking Bill Bellaget. He doesn't want to do any more audiobooks, not any more long books. That's it. He's out of the Patriot business forever more. I don't know what he's going to tackle next though. It's a good question you're bringing up. That's my concern and probably the Falcons. I mean, I think we'll see. We'll see what happens here. No, I did. He went for a second interview
Starting point is 00:03:43 with people or say he's going to take that job and Wicker Shib is going to dive right in. Okay. Can someone explain to me why he's taking that job? I know he said he wanted to go to a team with a lot of talent that has underachieved, but I thought for sure he'd pick a place that had a quarterback in place. Don't you? Like, I don't know what happened in Dallas, Philadelphia might still be a possibility. Right now, it seems like it's Atlanta. It seems like the chargers want harbors. So I'm with you. I wouldn't choose Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:04:12 I can't see it. I don't know why Bella check is going there. Everyone talks about the roster and how good the talent is there. They don't have a quarterback. And so I can't see Bella check who was trying to catch Don Shula trying to win another Super Bowl without Tom Brady. I don't see why he would choose Atlanta other than that division is really bad. I have had a hard time over this hour in New York, reaching the moody and temperamental
Starting point is 00:04:39 Billy Gill in the doing of this show. But I think I have the story that will reach him. What are you shrugging your shoulders about Billy? What are you? What are you? What are you? What's part of that? Are you not understanding? The Moody and Temperamental part. I think I'm a ray of sunshine. That's what you are it on the pole. Please, that Levitard show is Billy Gill, a ray of sunshine. This is from Jason Mahmoa.
Starting point is 00:05:10 The reason I bring it up is because, and you guys have heard me talk in the past about how funny I think it is that all of the action stars in Hollywood are over 50 years old. Some of them 60, some of them 70. It's laughably funny. But the rock for one is saying by teaming up with A24 and I don't know how many studios you guys love, but A24 makes a lot of good stuff. And I love a lot of studios. But do you know, do you think of any studios the way that you do of A24 where you're more likely to like a movie that is being made because you
Starting point is 00:05:51 You like the studios choices and you think they have discerning taste because a 24 is at the top of the list of critically acclaimed studio makers of stuff. I've never heard people, you know Be into a movie because of the studio. Maybe the director or an actor or something like that But never oh this studio made a great movie. I mean, that could be wrong. Unless it's Pixar, everything that A24 does will stress you out more than anything you've ever seen. But it's also really good, including a Robert Pattinson movie. Bring that back. Well, that's a crazy movie.
Starting point is 00:06:17 The rock has chosen specifically, strategically, Stugat's, he has chosen to work with A24 because he wants to tell more meaningful stories about the human condition, about pain. The Rock has talked with J. Glazer and others about mental health and depression. He wants to tackle more meaningful things, but the quote I wanted to read to Billy to get his thoughts on this is a fellow beef cake musclehead Jason Momoa is quoted as saying the following. It is both self-aware and it made me laugh. The quote is the following. None of my movies are going to the awards. I'm not really that guy. So maybe one day it'd be nice to do one of those kind of movies where it is a really,
Starting point is 00:07:06 really good movie. Sounds like he wants to make Mamoah good movies, Dan. Christ almighty, man. So all that good will and like a half a second. It's how it works. Jeremy, go sit in the penalty box. And two guys, can you make the loser? Can you hit the loser game? Show sound. Hold on. Let me. God's please. And Billy, while he looks for that, can you tell me what it is your thoughts are? Yeah. Nice. On the wall.
Starting point is 00:07:32 On the rock. And these two guys going there, they're wanting to make more meaningful movies instead of jumping from skyscrapers or swimming as Aquaman in the ocean or jumping, you know, jumping from car to car in your favorite. Yeah, but no one forced them to do that against their will. It's not like some love one was kidnapped and they had to be in skyscraper or they wouldn't be able to ever see their family again. Like, they chose those roles. What do you want me to do? They got paid very handsomely for doing those roles.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Another episode about being typecast for taking the exact same role every movie. You did that. I didn't force you to do that. Well, one of the stranger castings that I've ever seen that I wouldn't have believed in because I do find it interesting that both of these guys would like to make a movie where they're taken more seriously. But I don't know if you know this to God, but Paul Thomas Anderson, one of my favorite directors, he made Boogie Knights when he was 26 years old, which is just unfathomable to me that you could make a movie like that when you're 26 years old. But when he made
Starting point is 00:08:36 Punch Drunk Love, he, uh, an exceptional movie, really a wonderful romantic comedy. I did not think that Adam Sandler could possibly have the range to do what Daniel Day Lewis does when Paul Thomas Anderson is looking for talent to execute his vision. But he wrote the part in punch truck, drunk love for Adam Sandler. And I wonder who can write a part for Jason Mamoah or Dwayne the Rock Johnson that would summon some of these things that we're talking about where older and later in life, they can be taken more seriously because they want to grow out of the action star roles that everybody gets paid for in Hollywood. Jason Mamo was actually really good in FastX.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Like it wasn't like he was just some sort of like, you know, hot head, whatever. Like he had like this weird like Joker villain type character that I thought was actually pretty good at Mamoa. Was he good compared to his surroundings or was he a legitimately good actor? Because I don't know that a lot of us or many of the people listening to this think of Jason Momoa as having acting chops.
Starting point is 00:09:50 I mean, I thought he did a good job, but I watched Fast and Furious for the fast and the Furious, you know what I mean? How many more possible follow-ups could Dan have to that? It's fast X. He is surrounded by his cast mate. He was the rangeiest Aluda Chris Like Luda he's there with take-o called the ron lay who there's a cliffhanger this one too because it's part one of two of 11 and 10 And his whole thing are they gonna get out spoiler alert are they gonna get out of that damn collapsing? I don't know
Starting point is 00:10:20 The rock has been trying to get this Mark Kerr project off the ground. In fact, when he famously stood next to a shoeless stugot at a UFC weigh-in, he was actually announcing to that crowd that he was getting this Mark Kerr project off the ground. And that was what feels like a lifetime ago. Stugot's looks very different from that photo. But yeah, I think that there has been a criticism recently levied by people in the movie industry and just consumers of movies alike. But yeah, I think that there has been a criticism recently levied by people in the movie industry and just consumers of movies alike that, yeah, there's been a lot of comparisons
Starting point is 00:10:49 between Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Rock, but even Arnold at his apex always challenged himself by trying to at least effort to work with the best directors. He worked with James Cameron on the Terminator movies. He was always trying to challenge himself where the criticism against the rock is you're not really challenging yourself. You're making these video game movies and monster movies and and formulaic movies and and we know that you're rangel you tried early in his acting career
Starting point is 00:11:16 with the get-sorty be cool sequel and with the another was good and with another yeah Was it good? Was it good? And with another, yeah, he was good and people. And with another film in which Donnie Dorko was this cult film, and I forget the second project from that filmmaker, but he was the lead there. And he was stretching his range there, but he got into a very profitable career. Stucco, I am genuinely curious about what I'm going to ask you now
Starting point is 00:11:43 because I would think if ever you were to sit down and watch a documentary to try and learn something because I don't think of you as the documentary type, there are two of them presently on Netflix. One of them sliced the loan and the other one, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the ballsiness of the one in Arnold Schwarzenegger where he simply declared that he got to Hollywood and he wasn't going to take bit parts that he simply declared to everyone there, I'm going to be a star. I wish to be a star. I must be featured as a star. Have you seen either one of these documentaries? I have not. I'm getting to them, Dan. How is that not even something that you could possibly do? Like, if I don't make you interested in that, how can I possibly make you interested
Starting point is 00:12:26 in any kind of learning? I'm done learning, Dan. Okay. He's no cam McCormick. Yeah, he's still learning. I mean, you talked about the guy who wrote that movie at the age of 26, that's what you do when you're 26. You don't come back for your ninth year of college.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I don't understand what document I have to make if you will not watch this. And I know we apologize. I know we apologize. It's creepy. Stagats here. For my friends over at SimplySafe and telling you about them for years, why I have had their home security system in my house for many, many years, protecting both me and my family. Starting point is 00:13:55 Hey, it's my crying. I love football and I love Miller light Why do I love Miller light? Well the penableable flavor, the fact that it's a beer, that tastes like beer, the fact that when I'm having a Miller Light, I don't have to think for one second about the beer that I'm drinking. And I know that it's only 96 calories and 3.2 carbs, per 12 ounces. It's my favorite beer. I believe in the product. You might be sick of hearing me talk about it, but I'll be talking about it till I'm old and grey. Because Miller Light is with me wherever I go no matter the season. And especially the winter time, I love drinking Miller Light during the winters because when it's cold outside, I don't need a coosie for it. It's a perfect temp. It is the best beer and it pairs well with Playoff Football. Miller
Starting point is 00:14:38 Light, great taste, 96 calories. Go to MillerLight.com slash Dan to find delivery options near you or you can pick up some Miller Light pretty much anywhere that they sell beer. Tastes Don't forget to subscribe to my channel and press the bell icon to get all the notifications. Dan quit being so mean to co-hosts that you always deem incompetent. That's the formula, man. Me being mean to the co-host is what allows two gods to take a very wealthy vacation right now. Two gods. It's a winning position for everyone, but me. Have you guys not figured this out yet?
Starting point is 00:15:20 That's the whole thing. Is me being rotten straight, man, as everyone else gets to be incompetent than I yell at them for being incompetent? And here's the whole thing is me being rotten straight man as everyone else gets to be in compen than I yell at them for being incompetent. And here's the miracle of it, and it's the magic elixir. Bad, which is the only thing Greg Cody can be, becomes good and lovable. And it's because standing next to obnoxious strident me makes everyone look that way. Yeah, and the brush with death helped. Yeah, that was planned by me. The whole thing was contrived.
Starting point is 00:15:43 VCC dan lebertar show with this two cats. We'll get to against the spread here in a couple of minutes. Big football weekend. I was laughing with Mike because why is David Shaw making the rounds as a potential head coaching candidate in the NFL? No one's hiring David Shaw. That would be the Rooney rules, do you? Really?
Starting point is 00:16:03 Is that what you're saying? Are you're saying? Are you all edging? It's been, even when he was a Sanford head coach that they were, he seemingly been, has been trying to get his way into the NFL and out of college. Maybe you saw the whole NIL era thing coming from a mile away, but for whatever reason, he's always tabbed as like an NFL guy. Let me make it clear. I'm not saying that he's not qualified.
Starting point is 00:16:23 I'm saying that the NFL, pretty insensitive of you. Yeah. All right, yeah. Me. You're saying it's a token interview is what you're saying. That's what he said. I am saying that,
Starting point is 00:16:33 but I'm not saying because of him. I'm saying because of the NFL. I think Moore's gonna end up being the head coach of Harbaugh leaves Michigan, but I would kick the tires on higher end. David Schof, I were Michigan just because he's an expert at keeping Harbaugh's momentum going for a good five years. Why would you kick the tires on it?
Starting point is 00:16:47 Michigan can get anyone they want. Well, he's just he's proven it. He's like, what was hard ball doing at Stanford? I can match that. Good five years. So if you do it at Stanford, you can do it at Michigan is what you say. I'm not saying he can.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I'm saying kick the tires. I just kicked the tires. I love a kicking of the tires. I think the charges were like, we want the former Stanford head coach. We're gonna interview both of them. Kingsbury's in the mix somewhere right? Offensive coordinator for the Bears it sounded like which I don't know if you watch a lot of USC's offense this year but it was not very good.
Starting point is 00:17:16 I want to ask you guys a serious question. It'd be great if Kyler Murray ended up in Chicago somehow and he just simply cannot get away from Cliff King's Berry, who apparently has been stalking him since childhood. Like he wanted to recruit him, he wanted to do it, and he just kept following him around until he was finally on the same team as him, and now they end up together again. On that point, there's got to be a good number
Starting point is 00:17:35 of quarterback's available, not just because there's quarterbacks available every year, because you have contracts that may not work for certain teams in their cap situation, but may work for others, but you also have what is reputed to be a really good quarterback class coming in. That's why Bill Bella check having his pick of the litter and seeing that a team like Atlanta,
Starting point is 00:17:54 which is possibly just a quarterback away. Right. It's not the huge hurdle that you guys are making it out to be. I think he's looking at things like division, front office, ownership. I think those things are more important because the quarterback thing, he can kind of figure out. Doesn't he also want to get away from the narrative
Starting point is 00:18:10 of like I feel like if he goes to the chargers and wins, it's just like you did it with another good quarterback. Like I feel like there could be part of him that's like I want to do this. At least when I'm bringing in that. I want to do it with Desmond Ritter. Bad quarterback. Not a bad one.
Starting point is 00:18:24 I'm not saying they aren't going to draft one. I just feel like he doesn't want like that. That's the narrative, right? The narrative on Belchick kind of, I mean, people respect him, but there is a narrative out there of a lot of that was Brady. Man, Atlanta is such a good spot for him.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I know that everyone wants to look at Justin Herbert and say, wow, what a great situation. They got older players on that team. Yeah, they got Herbert, but they're in a bad cap situation. Their ownership isn't great. It's a wonderful part of the country. Two hours from Augusta. Yeah, I would, but I would go to, I would go to Atlanta. Atlanta's got good pieces on defense in all world corner.
Starting point is 00:18:55 They have a great running back in B. John Robinson. And skill talents at the wide receiver position in Drake London and Kyle Pits. They were all really frustrated, knowing that they're capable of doing so much more, I think Atlanta's a terrific spot. I would say the biggest positive of that team of Atlanta is that division. That's the biggest positive.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Yeah, we're lying. And that's a bad division. Yeah, we've said it over and over again, that if anyone knows what it's like to play in a weak division and capitalize on it, it's Bill Belichick, in part, built his whole dynasty on that principle alone. What is he lacked in New England the last few years? Sunshine, skill guys.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Access to golf. That's what he's looking at. That's what he's looking at. But the quarterback, but the skill guys also, it's just been like brutal. Like Devonte Parker has been what he's been working on. That's a hell of his own making. Look at B. John, like to Mike's point,
Starting point is 00:19:42 like those skill guys, like there's a lot of potential in Atlanta. But I think with the Lennon, he trusts the owner, he trusts the general manager that's there, and he trusts himself to be able to fix that roster and beat Avery, three other teams in that division that allows it. I think if you look at the, if you have your pick of the litter,
Starting point is 00:19:58 and I'm not saying Bill Belichick has that because we haven't heard much with the chargers and Bill Belichick, we've all kind of projected that onto him. Hey, this team is just like a great head coach away. You can do it over there, but there doesn't really seem to be interest from that organization in the Bill Belichack, even though they just interviewed one of his protege
Starting point is 00:20:14 and Mike Vrable. I think if I just have my pick, man in franchise mode, Atlanta's a really good spot. I think it's the best. I have a serious question. If you think there's a chance code. Atlanta is a really good spot. I think it's the best. I have a serious question. If you think there's a chance that Andy Reed is going to retire after the season because people have talked about it, right?
Starting point is 00:20:32 If you think there's a chance and your Bella check and your Jim Harbott, is it worth waiting around to see if that job comes open? No, I don't think so, especially like, Bella checks older man. But if you have the leverage with Atlanta like if you if he knows from his meetings with Atlanta It's yours. This is your job if you want it. Why wouldn't you just wait a couple weeks? Book Bellagag's in the 70s, right? Why sit out a year? He wants to get going. No, I'm saying Andy Reed retires after this season
Starting point is 00:21:00 Yeah, you realize Bill Bellagag is 15 wins away from the all-time right? Yeah, but he gets there one year with that season, right? The Chiefs. Guys, I'm with Mike on this one. This is doing something weird here. What do you mean? I also don't know why. I'm not retiring Andy Reed.
Starting point is 00:21:15 I don't know how to overreact. I'm not retiring Andy Reed. No, I'm not retiring Andy Reed. Is there speculation of Andy Reed retiring? Yes. If there's speculation, and if the first time here and if the Falcons are giving the speculation. He's been doing it a lot for like three years. Here was one. So got to read. No, that's all it takes for me. One article,
Starting point is 00:21:34 pro football talk, Mike Floria. And I felt great fine. I mean, in all likelihood, it's going to take two NFL seasons to get to Shula's record. Correct. You have him at his age deciding to sit one out because on the other you're not going to get to the record. You're not going to get to the record. He's saying he would retire after this year. After this season. Starting next season.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Next season. You have to be with Belicec with the coach of the chiefs. But that's totally unfounded. But if you have that left side. I'm sure I can say it. I'm sure I can say it. No, but guys, from Belicec's say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say,
Starting point is 00:22:06 I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say,
Starting point is 00:22:14 I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say you might want to wait around. It could happen. You do know that if he takes the Falcons job and then three weeks later, Andy Reed steps down,
Starting point is 00:22:28 Bell checks going to say, damn it. Yes. He'll leave the land. He's gonna be like, who would have seen this coming? Except for Stu God. I'm so weirded out by all of you.
Starting point is 00:22:37 He could man he de-esit. He could man he de-esit. You know, I asked Goliath, and Goliath has a great relationship with Andy Reed, and he said to me when I asked him great question Great question. He likes to build up his co-host and make them feel better. I'm on the receiving end of that a lot of time He's a hell of a gamble. Atlanta in the edge is gonna want to lock in their head You have to have that leverage you have to have that leverage with Atlanta that they're like it's your job
Starting point is 00:23:02 Yes, you're balochect and Falcons. Like you make them weights. I guess following this whimsical fantasy that you have played out where I am also texting Amy, you're on the side. Imagine finding out any insight is to whether or not you might retire after this playoff run. Then, yes, if I'm Bill Bella check, knowing that I have the job, knowing that Atlanta's desperate, I mean, under these terms of this hypothetical, yes, Sue God's, it makes sense.
Starting point is 00:23:30 I like how you guys think Bill Bella check is incapable of becoming a head coach and immediately resigning to be a head coach elsewhere. Mani Diaz is in here. He's never done a Bill Bella checking. No, I'm just saying that's what Mani did with Temple. Yeah, but Bill did it first is what Billi is saying. I mean, he took the jet job
Starting point is 00:23:57 What time of the week has it's you guys it's time for again You think I knew the answer did you just has an update Taylor just sent me a screenshot of a tweet That says Andy read just to be clear reiterated he hasn't thought about retiring or not being the chief's coach next But as he tried texting Andy read on the side Well against the spread against the spread is presented by draft King's fantasy sports check out What draft kings has to offer this season with Codan. Because life's more fun when you're in on the action. Draft Kings, the crown is yours. Toots, we begin against the spread with you. Last week I told you the Green Bay Packers would beat the Cowboys outright. And they did.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Jordan Love, best quarterback, second half of the season. He's really good. They're taking on the Niners this week. Brock Purtie. do it of the post season he's not gonna do it I am taking the Packers to win the game outright also plus nine and a half points I'm gonna take the opportunity because I've been bad at this game too I've picked a total on against the spread and I tried to contort myself into a way that it worked so Out of these three plays that I'm telling you the one that I feel least confident is the one that's against But I think tape a bacon hang around in that Detroit game
Starting point is 00:25:22 So I'm gonna take Tampa Bay with the points again So sprays But the two bets that I really like in that game that I will volunteer to you in our audience if you got draft King sports book is I like Baker Mayfield's longest completion over the guy has been spraying the ball all over the field and you know at the very least Mike Evans is gonna have an opportunity to drop this this attempt So I like his longest completion over. I think the last time I saw it was over 38 and a half. And I like points in that game.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Points, points, points. It's played inside a dome. Those two offenses can move the ball. Not really huge fans of the defenses, even though Tampa's kind of settled in a little bit. So that's what I like in that game. What's the weather going to be like? Todd Bulls?
Starting point is 00:26:04 All in mine. Super Bulls. I like in that game. What's the weather gonna be like? Todd Bulls Oh mine super balls. I Got a bold statement lions will host the NFC championship game about that anyway That is bold Because the Packers would beat the Jess I get it Back and forth with this one in my opinion the game of the week on Kansas City in Buffalo and right now I'm leaning Kansas City
Starting point is 00:26:27 plus three. Oh yeah. Yeah. Star Span. Right. Switching to hockey, the Minnesota Wilder playing the Florida Panthers tonight. Post-game.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Yes, there will be a post-game. An emotional pick from Roy here. Yeah, yeah. OK, the Panthers on the three game losing streak. However, the Minnesota Wild are two, seven, and one in the last 10, and three game losing streak however the Minnesota wild are two seven and one the last ten and they are Bad row team So 12 and two so the Panthers are due I think they are going to win They are a one and a half goal favorite tonight at home. So I'm going with the Panthers
Starting point is 00:26:59 Star Wars tonight today and Sunrise Billy I'm gonna take Marist over Mount St. Mary's in college basketball. Marist plus three and a half. Good thing. Yeah. I gave this to you. Chris Cody. What's your reasoning for that?
Starting point is 00:27:13 Just a feeling. Just a hunch. Got feeling. Well, I famously last week told you Packers also plus the juice and I told you to lock it. Love it. Do it. And I'm taking it again. Packers plus nine and a half in San Francisco, lock it, love it, do it.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Again, again, this is great. They had it in Bores with your pick. Not a lot of time left in this one. The Ravens are amazing. They're gonna keep being amazing. Ravens minus nine over the Texans. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:41 That's great. Yeah. Yeah. Don Lebatard. I have no way. Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, you don't have to know who shakie green is but i'd rather get none of i don't like my i like it the bush belt stugats um uh... i have the soul of a bush belt comedian i should be in the cat skills in nineteen forty five opening for shakie green that's why was destined to be the cc dot lebertar show with this to got it's interesting what everyone's doing with his bills in chiefs game like why are they making this some sort of like legacy game for Josh Allen?
Starting point is 00:28:27 All they're doing is playing for the right to face Lamar Jackson and all likelihood on the road to the next round. And people like Billy's talking about Buffalo's window closing, Billy doesn't think that their window is closing, but people are having these discussions. Like, if Josh Allen does it when this game, it's gonna be some sort of indictment on his career.
Starting point is 00:28:46 That'll be o and three against the chiefs in the playoffs if they lose this week. I think that's the point right there, Chris, because it's having to go through the chiefs. And if you can't go through the chief this year, this year, the weakest run, the weakest team of the now and you finally host them and Patrick Maholam is playing his first playoff road game, if you can't do it now against that team and we all know that this is a down year for Kansas City, as long as they have that quarterback and that head coach who might be supplanted by Bill Bellichick or in his regards. Anyways,
Starting point is 00:29:20 like if you can't do it now, when are you going to be able to do it? Right. And this window could be closing for the Buffalo Bills organization as we know. And not necessarily for Josh Allen, but maybe for that head coach, if they can't prove that they can go through this. So I do think that there is a legacy game aspect to this. Really, for Josh Allen, huh?
Starting point is 00:29:37 Yeah, and understanding that he's still gonna have to go on the road, and potentially beat Lamar Jackson afterwards. But a lot is riding on just having to go through Kansas City. Kind of like the way we said for the dolphins, for this to be a successful season, they got to win one playoff game. Like Josh Allen, they won one playoff game, but they've been there before.
Starting point is 00:29:54 They have to get past this hurdle or else this is a bad season. Just because it's Kansas City, he's one more than one playoff game. Like if they go to Baltimore, if they beat Kansas City, go to Baltimore, lose a close game, that will feel like a step like they're heading in the right direction. See, I don't think so. I don't think it feels like that anymore. Yeah, to start that they got. I don't think that there's that pressure on him that there was like headed into the
Starting point is 00:30:12 season. They were kind of like ridden off and then they kind of got right back into it and the window was closing. The writing off can happen real quick again. We can get right back. Exactly. If they get past Kansas City and they lose the Baltimore, I think that they're still plenty about the way that closed the season to hang your hat on and the narrative will
Starting point is 00:30:28 be if we had Joe Brady the entire season, we would have been hosting that AFC championship game instead of going on the road for it. So let's bring the band back together and keep it going. Now that we know that we can go through not just the rest of the AFC, but particularly the Kansas City Chief. So I think it's a huge game for them. I buy into the narrative. We've never celebrated a team
Starting point is 00:30:49 just merely making it to an AFC championship game. Yeah, but when celebrating is that they finally beat the Chiefs. But this is the modern day Brady Manning, right? It's a one other. What two quarterbacks could we put against each other that we have this kind of Brady Manning feel? Like I feel like there, this. I mean, Barrow is beaten Kansas City.
Starting point is 00:31:06 I feel like- Yeah, he won't have that narrative surrounding it. But I feel like the narrative of like, the best quarterback matchup we have going right now is this matchup, and Allen's been worked in all of them. So it's like, you gotta get one, or else it's not a fight. If you keep losing. And it feels like it's felt like this for the last couple of seasons, but Sephon digs, I don't see how they keep him with his cap number.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Right. So this is your last run with this unit, no matter what. Is Gave Dave displaying? I don't know. He gave Dave. Hopefully not for Buffalo. Yeah. But he was, oh, hold on.
Starting point is 00:31:37 He was amazing against the chiefs in particular last post. That's what he does. You 200 yards, you like four touchdowns. You could theorize what's happened to Kansas's a city has been as Patrick my homes is contract grows and grows they've had to make tough decisions right they've had to let go of Tyree kill so Josh Allen similar trajectory his contract started to balloon you can't keep the same type of skill guys so if you want a shot at a Super Bowl with digs on your roster and you don't know if you can replace them, this is the year to do it. I think the expectation for Josh Allen should be greater than just beating a bad Kansas City team.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Like I do. I'm not certain he's not the best quarterback in the NFL. We're gonna be happy if Josh Allen just make the way back on you. I'm not pushing back on you there, Stu, guys, but in order to reach those higher expectations, he's going to have to do it. Just because it's the worst of these chiefs teams, let's not make them a bad team. They're just not as offensively prolific as the big. They're bad compared to what they were. And I think that I just saw the screen.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Yeah. I don't know. Profitably prolific. Good job. That blacked out. What happened? They're not as good offensively. Burnously well said.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Billy, what were you going gonna say on Gabe Davis? You're with me on this. Well, I was gonna say even games that he's on the field, you ask is Gabe Davis playing? Go nice. But we does seem to have Kansas City's number. Oh, that's my dear, my life. Big game game.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I didn't realize that. Really? We don't even know him to be from UCF. He's on the undefeated team. Number one receiver for McKenzie Milton. How dare you? Oh boy. He's one of those guys that frustrates you. Does he not he not like he's a guy that can have 10 catches 276 yards
Starting point is 00:33:09 to touchdowns and then the next week have no catches the definition of boomer bus unless I put him in a touchdown parlay and you know he's not catching the damn ball because I am mush when it comes to those things I think it's funny like the disparity in quarterbacks the four quarterbacks that can make it out of the AFC to the Super Bowl and the four quarterbacks that can make it out of the AFC to the Super Bowl, and the four quarterbacks that can make it out of the NFC in the Super Bowl, the NFC is a disaster. I mean, it's rock-dirty.
Starting point is 00:33:33 Jordan Love. Jordan Love. Jordan Love has been Patrick Mahomes the last eight weeks. Yeah. Like, if you look at his numbers, he's putting up Mahomes from a couple seasons ago, numbers the last half of the season. Yeah. It's insane. Can I ask you guys a coffee question about coffee?
Starting point is 00:33:48 Ask me a coffee please. Oh my god, my favorite topic. So I don't know if this is the first time I've ever done this and I don't know if this is like normal behavior or how this happened. So I normally will get like warm coffee like everyone else, like hot coffee, like coffee's, you know. Drip coffee. I mean, like in coffee.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Exactly. But I went and I took a sip and it was cold because it was from this morning. So I was like, eh. And I just went to the freezer and grabbed a bunch of ice and I threw it in the cup and I go, hmm, ice coffee, we're good here. One life, Angie Lemons. Was it good?
Starting point is 00:34:16 It wasn't bad, honestly. Like it was actually pretty good. And I'm wondering if that's something anyone else has done or if you just throw out the pot and if you specifically make ice coffee. Sometimes I iced coffee that has been brewed hot and then like cold can be really bitter so it's not that good but if it tastes good. I threw in some Caramel Machiawdo stuff that was in the bridge and I just spun it around with it. If you're masking it with like any type of sugar or
Starting point is 00:34:40 cream or belly like you do you. Great use of ice. I heard Goliath Senior doing, crushing the fact that when you go to a coffee shop and you say, I wanna coffee, that should just mean hot. Cause I think nowadays you have to say iced or hot, whereas Goliath Senior thinks, if I say coffee, that means hot, unless I say ice. He means like a carafe at a diner, just pour it in the cup.
Starting point is 00:35:03 He freaked out because I brought like a espresso cup with me when we were getting breakfast the other day. Oh, you have your little stuff, and I was like, it's espresso. It's like the oldest form. You're a little stuff. It's how everyone else in the world drinks their coffee.
Starting point is 00:35:16 He was like flapper-gasted by this tiny cup of espresso. I don't know how to order coffee. I know, I just don't know how to order coffee. What do you want? What do you like? That's the thing, is that I'll start saying that so like I went to a Starbucks, like not too long ago because I like a mocha flavor,
Starting point is 00:35:32 but I wanted something hot because it was a cold day. So I was like, do you have like a, like a warm mocha type coffee and like, yeah, and then I drank it and I was walking through the office and I turned to, I don't remember who it was, it was like, Gino or if it was Taylor or someone and I go, I think they just gave me a hot chocolate. Like there's no coffee in this.
Starting point is 00:35:48 I think that they just think that I'm a child and I said like I'd like a warm, mocha coffee and they gave me a hot chocolate and I wouldn't notice. And I drank half of it before I noticed them like, this is just a hot chocolate that they gave me. There might have been like one shot of espresso and it was just so diluted by all the chocolate
Starting point is 00:36:04 that it was overwhelmed and you couldn't taste it. Did you get a buzz afterwards? No, Nariya buzz. You didn't feel anything. Nothing. That's every day though, but. Ha ha ha ha ha. Billy, that's depressing.
