there are some football moments that just live forever in your brain.
You remember exactly where you were, who you were with, what you were drinking.
And for me, what I'm drinking is Miller Light, because those football moments are great.
But making those moments, Miller Time moments, now that's something extra special.
That's what I love about football season.
Every weekend gives you a chance to relive another great weekend.
You come in on Monday, all am from what you saw, and you come in and listen to Chris Cody,
completely misremember what happened.
And no matter what triumphs are in sore this season, legendary game days start with Miller Light.
It's there for you on game days and there for you when Dan tries to ruin your Mondays.
Miller Light has been a part of those game days and Mondays for me.
It's reliable, crisp, refreshing, and has a clean finish.
It's the original light beer, a true American Pilsner, and the original light beer since 1975.
Make Game Day legendary.

You are listening to the Dan Levitar show in partnership with the Draft King Sports app. Now
live in all 50 states. This episode of the Dan Levitart show is presented by Draft King Sports.
Draft Kings. The crown is yours. A couple of housekeeping items from the first hour and please put
the Chinese girl who does the Rubik's Cube in 4.4 seconds in the picture and picture, please.
Let's just call her Asian. I'm a little worried about Greg's assumption. Okay.
No, she is. She's from China. I mean. Yeah, all right.
I'm convinced you. I am with, I'm with Mike on this. I believe that I should not trust you on
this matter. Okay. In terms of the housekeeping items from the first hour, Jeremy, the phrase
Scott-free? Do we know why the phrase is Scott-free? Yeah, pretty simple one. Scott used to mean
tax back in old English. And so in turn, S-C-O-T, not a double-T. It has nothing to do with the
Scots. Don't worry. We are not using a slur. It's also not scotch-free. Nobody was worried
about that. Well, that's the background when you Google it. I just, you know, we're worried about a few
things. He's done that before, where he's taken out an entire group of people. Have you guys not
realize that all of that is back now? They brought back the Gator Bait chant at Florida.
from 2020 that they banned right after George Floyd that had racist undertones and they just brought it back.
Did you not realize that the country has shifted in the other direction?
Yeah, we're great again.
Thank you, Greg. I see that on your computer, but I also saw it on our screen.
I appreciate you interrupting what I was doing to show me.
I didn't say a word.
But you're actively distracting me.
Well, I mean, I say the Rubik's Cube girl is from China, and you say, no, it's a.
say Asia. Can't say China.
That's not what we were doing.
We were just hedging our bets.
It's an old man with the internet thing.
The other housekeeping item that I wanted to get to is the Tampa Bay Rays, my beloved Tampa Bay
Rays.
They did something that I don't think many people care about, but in Yankee Stadium, Drew Rasmussen,
who has been one of the top ten pitchers in baseball the last three years and no one seems
to know it.
Oh, he's so good.
Moes down the Yankees as if they're not in the batters box.
Everything in the strike zone, because he pitches only in the strike zone, even though he walked a couple of guys last night.
But every time I watch that team, they're ending a series and the announcers are saying, and in this series, the rays have struck out 27 batters and walked one.
There's nobody playing baseball except the brewers, the way that they play baseball, where they've got a shortstop and walls who cannot hit.
And so what he does is he bunts with a man on first, or a man on third rather, and one out.
He'll just bunt, even though everyone knows he can't hit and he's going to bunt.
And he bunt successfully, instead of even bothering with the sacrifice fly, to bring runners in from third because they bunt more than any team in the league.
What's their payroll, though, Jeremy?
Because they take out the Yankees in Yankee Stadium.
And one of the things that I find interesting about this baseball season, almost most interesting says.
And I haven't felt what I'm about to say since Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire did what they did and everyone slapped their head when we said, yeah, it's steroids.
It's fraudulent.
It's not real.
the fact that Otani and Judge are both hurt and everyone's reaction isn't of course they're hurt
people that large can't play an entire season and you can't ask one of them to hit and pitch
all the time the human body no matter how strong a human body is it can't sustain that kind
of battering over a 162 game season so of course judge can't use his upper body and the
race beat the Yankees and i think they're better than the Yankees oh they're way better than the
And I think that they can beat the Yankees because Judge is unlikely to be himself this postseason.
Because, of course, these two statues, they're majestic, majestic creatures.
Athletic specimens of the highest order, gods even.
But of course they're hurt.
Yeah.
Aaron Judge is 10 days older than Jonas Valenchunis.
This is supposed to happen.
How about Austin Hooper?
How much older is he than Austin Hooper?
This is what it looks like.
No, I mean, Aaron Judge's body is really breaking down.
and there was debate with him and Aaron Boone over how much he would play when he first came back.
He was out from May until like a few weeks ago.
He came back and now he's back with a new injury.
He's unlikely to play in the wildcard round.
At least that's what they're saying unless he gets shot up like a crazy person.
Bigger guys tend to break down.
It's what made Aaron Judge's Ascension so marvelous at his age.
But look what's happening with D.K. Metcalfe.
I've always had this theory about wide receivers that are so big.
They tend to slow down quicker because that's just so much of their own weight they're carrying.
crashing down to the ground, it's bound to take off notches from your speed by degrees.
Is Aaron Judge the guy in sports that everyone's always surprised at what their age is?
And Austin Hooper.
The raise payroll is just $107 million.
It's 23rd in Major League Baseball.
They've really mastered this ability.
And the craziest part is there's a world here and a likely one, where they have the fourth highest payroll in the American League playoffs.
because the White Sox and the Guardians are 25th and 30th respectively.
The way this is all going to shake out over the last week, Dan, is insane.
Like, I can lay it out for you if you'd like.
The A.L. Central stinks, but it's fun.
Oh, my God.
The A.L. West.
No, the A.L. West stinks.
The A.L. West might be the first division to have a division winner that doesn't finish 500 or better.
Never.
The Marlins would be alive if they were in the AIL West.
The Marlins would be beyond alive.
If they were, they'd be merely alive.
They wouldn't be beyond alive.
And what, Jeremy, just go outside.
Completely alive. Just leave the room.
Just go.
Okay, I'm going to go lay it out on the whiteboard.
There are people that can be beyond alive.
Please show yourself out.
Whatever Tom Cruise is, that's beyond alive.
But their schedule would be completely different if they were in the American.
Not really anymore.
Please leave the room.
Thank you.
Alive would have sufficed.
I don't know why you had to make it beyond alive.
That concludes baseball talk from me.
All season long, though, what people have been talking about in the American League East
is either Boston's research.
or Aaron Judge is hurt.
And yesterday, the 23rd payroll in the league goes into Yankee Stadium and finishes the ALE East because they're smarter than everybody in that sport.
And they're smarter than everyone in that sport by leaps and bounds.
Like, if you're watching them play baseball, they're playing baseball differently than everyone else in the sport except for the Brewers.
And the Brewers are more athletic and have more money and have more stars.
And I can feel like none of you are listening because you do not care.
I'm always dying to talk Tampa Bay Rays baseball, and I will never get that subject off the ground.
I see all of you in your computers barely listening, just nodding off.
I was looking up Ray.
No, the thing I care about is that the fact that the raise are that good with that budget gives license to a cheap franchise like the Marlins to continue being cheap.
They want to be the raise.
That's their model.
And they spend year after year after year building toward a future that never seen.
teams to arrive. So if you're the Marlins or any other underspending team, you have license
because of the Tampa Bay Area. For all the talk, okay, about propaganda and Major League
Baseball coming out with commercials for the salary cap, with fans talking about the salary
cap and everyone thinking the Dodgers have ruined the sport, please listen to what Jeremy
said. I'm not going to say that sentence very often. He just told you that the Cleveland
Guardians and the Chicago White Sox have a smaller payroll.
than the Tampa Bay raised. That's three playoff teams. Everybody in the American League was in play this year because of how bad the American League was.
The Cleveland who? The Guardians of political correctness.
Oh boy.
They guard the political correctness.
Where's that red fella?
Oh, boy.
That's how old boy was invented when I misspoke on the Cleveland nickname.
That is how it was invented.
That's amazing that you do remember that.
hope for you yet. You should start working in a way that protects the end of your career.
It is so shocking that that was a logo for how late it was. I am watching so many things from the
90s and people are just rocking that hat. It's crazy. How long that lasted. So a couple of things
that I wanted to talk to you guys about in the documentary space because I've, you know, I love
watching these. I'm going to get to Ray Gunn and the embarrassing Netflix documentary on Raygun from
the Olympics that that wasn't very good. I also will tell you that Judd Apatow is about to be on
South Beach sessions and he's doing a documentary on Norm McDonald that's coming out here.
What's his deepest, starkest moment? In a month. And he's doing so without talking to anybody.
Like he's just doing it through clips. He's doing it. I love docs like that. Yeah. Those are great.
And so, and, and Judd Apatow, I love the career pivot of Judd Apatow, where after doing a generation of comedy in the movies, him and Adam McKay are responsible for almost all of them.
What he has now done with the latter part of his career is he's doing a bunch of documentaries on Gary Shandling, on Don Rickles, on George Carlin.
He's doing these documentaries on legendary comedians, and they're all exceptional.
So I've got that documentary that I'm recommending to you if you have any desire to learn more about show friend Norm McDonald.
But another documentary that's coming out, and right now sports documentaries are super hit and miss because a lot of folks have to trade access in order to get it made.
That jailblazers documentary was not very good, even though everyone making documentaries wanted to make that documentary honestly, but instead they made it with the players because the players get.
gave them access and then that documentary was not very good.
HBO Max is going to do something in a documentary form that Zaz,
I'm not making up what I'm about to say.
When Mina Kimes joined us,
the first few times she was on with us as a transitioning business reporter into the NFL,
she thought we were joking when we told her that...
Sorry.
Proceed.
I don't want you to stifle it because the last time you did that, you passed out at Highland.
I don't just let it fly and we'll wait until you're done.
Boy, who needs me?
Who needs me?
Sorry about that.
I should have brought water in as well.
Nope, you should just keep drinking that tar all day until your lungs explode.
No sweetener in here.
Not that I'm complaining.
That's a little vanilla extract.
Mina Kimes did not believe Zazzo.
She thought.
We were joking.
She thought we were kidding around when we told her that both Tony Kornheiser and Dennis
Miller had been in the Monday night booth as broadcaster.
She did not, she thought we were, we were joking and we were trying to trick her.
Like is that just how little she knew about sports broadcasting?
No, she knew plenty about sports and she knew plenty about football.
She just was not aware that, you know, a generation earlier that there had been an experiment.
and the documentary is about Dennis Miller's time on Monday night football.
That has to be good, right?
They're not going to be able to screw that one up, right?
Because I just remember so vividly a couple of times in sports content
where fun kind of got ruined for everybody.
When Joe Buck, who is clever and glib, tried to do a late-night show as a traditional comedian
and then Artie Lang embarrassed him, there went all of the opportunities for the best,
among... That was something. I remember that.
Yeah, it was gone in a couple of days, and it ended
in disaster, and Dennis Miller and
Tony Kornheiser being on Monday Night Football, and
widely rejected, because they were not serious enough.
We lost our ability to have fun in the broadcast booth.
Do you guys remember when we had Jimmy Kimmel on one time after he
had gone in the booth for like seven minutes, and he set the booth on fire?
It was unbelievable to hear crackling funny come out like that
in a sports broadcast where they're so.
self-serious, what do you remember, if anything, about Dennis Miller? Because I thought what
ended up happening with Dennis Miller is, he lost all of his guts when Bob Kraft handed him a football.
And all of a sudden, the connection to the human beings made it so he wasn't talking honestly
on television anymore. Oh, I didn't remember that. Yeah. Like, that's what happens, though.
That's what's happened to Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan has gotten into the rooms with these incredibly rich people, and all of a sudden, it's everyone else who's doing the conspiracies, not his rich friends who invite him to dinner.
And that's what happened to Dennis Miller.
Dennis Miller was cutting edge as a comedian, and as soon as they put him on Monday night football, he ceased to be that.
And on top of that, he was using all of these words that the American public didn't understand because no one's ever been in comedy more polysyllabic than that guy.
I'm in on that doc though
I'm worried that it's not going to be funny
much like Dennis was in the booth
but that was a hell of a time
it is hard to maintain an edge
and make fun of people because they're bringing you in
to kind of roast people a little bit
it's hard to make observations just between the hash marks right
but you're going into meetings with these people
and it does interpersonally it breaks down
that wall and you can't be the same guy
Can you imagine Dennis Miller in a production meeting?
He'd be cracking jokes the whole time, making fun of people.
Do we know that he attended those with the coaches the couple days before?
Yeah, that's what was happening.
Yeah, he was part of it.
Well, we'll find out, right?
Because I haven't seen that document.
He's kind of kept a low profile, right?
Yeah, I don't know what he's doing these days.
Well, one of the things that he did is he went straight from left to right after 9-11.
Like his entire comedy career changed on the spot right after 9-11 when he all of a sudden had all of his worldviews turned up
side down by a terrorist act. That went around. And largely disappeared from public life soon thereafter,
but I imagine, we're going to try to get him here because I've been wanting to get him for a while,
and I'm assuming he's going to promote this documentary. I know he did after the Monday night thing,
he did a nationally syndicated radio show for a little bit, but in recent years,
this is the first time I've thought about Dennis Miller in quite some time. Yeah, I actually Google his name,
believe it or not, to see, you know. I believe it. Yeah, is he still alive? I mean, honestly,
Like you, I had not...
Is he still alive?
You say after having a coughing incident, not but one minute ago.
And plus Miller's my age, which I didn't know.
Actually, a little older than me.
Thank God, somebody is.
When Greg said I googled his name, believe it or not,
do you think there were people out there?
I don't believe it.
Yeah. Must be lying.
I didn't know.
He was still alive.
That's how long it's been since I've seen him in the public eye.
I wish right now that I had our great sponsor
so I could transition to Jeremy in the other room
by saying, I can't believe.
that I saw Dennis Miller go from Maximum Miller to Miller liked.
That was good. That was a good one.
Thank you, Roy. I appreciate your boost of confidence.
I was cringing in the back.
He's your age, Greg?
Yeah.
He's on his IG here.
He looks better than you.
He's actually almost a year older than me.

Dan Lebatar.
Greg Cody.
Take the rest of the day off.
This is the Dan Levitare show.
Let's go out to Jeremy in the other room.
There's a number of strange things that are happening throughout baseball that I think are worth covering.
And I will continue to tell you the audience that nothing personal with David Samson,
it's not just that he does business grade.
On the subject of baseball, he has also been exceptional.
And I look forward to him and Jeremy working together.
on some pitch clock stuff and some stuff in September and October that will capture your
attention because the baseball playoffs rarely disappoint. Chris, the Marlins being eliminated here,
have you now lost interest in baseball? Are you somebody who will check out here? Will you
watch the September pennant races or not? Jeremy, being on pitch clock every week with Jeremy
has got me back into it. I'm ready for the playoffs. I'm a little disappointed about
judge being out and I realize Otani still needs to come back. So that kind of stinks because, you know, as a
passive baseball fan during the season, I was assuming they'd both be there for the playoffs. But I'm,
I would say out of 100, I'm 48% enthused about the Moby playoffs. If I may, there is going to be
one thing that's going to be fixated on the second or third television. And that's any time Ms.
takes a bump. I think that guy is just a sight to behold. And it's going to be tough to beat him.
They're great.
They're really fun.
It feels like they have a legit shot because he's just unhittable.
I told you before the season that you were going to enjoy the brewers just because they're so athletic.
And again, the Raisin Brewers are playing baseball differently than everyone in the sport is playing baseball.
So I do look forward to the next couple of months.
But Roy, get our entire crack staff plays immediately on the yammering hiccups of Chris Cody professional broadcaster before he told you he was 48% interested.
I was trying to figure out the exact percentage.
Thank you. Thank you for doing that. I appreciate it. But more than that, though, I want to, did you hear yourself sort of, you levitated a little bit because you were sort of bouncing on your hiccups as you got stuck before whatever the math was that you were trying to do in your head before you arrived at 48%.
Love a good bounce on a hiccup. Let's go out to Jeremy right now and see what some of these top stories we have in Major League Baseball. Let's see if the job here, Jeremy, is to convince Greg Cody to kill.
care instead of drift off when I'm talking about the rays. The job right now is to get these
people interested because as soon as I started talking rays, I lost the entirety of people
who are paid to listen to me and help me. They're not interested in the Tampa Bay raise
bringing back their uniforms with the gradient color scheme, wearing Tampa Bay across the chest,
representing that area. Okay. So we have the standings laid out here. The rays have already
clinched the one seed in the American League. So they'll take on the four. Who is that for
ultimately going to be after the wild card round. Well, you have something really interesting playing out
in the American League Central. You got the Cleveland Guardians right here. They're at 82 and 75.
They hold a one game lead over the Chicago White Sox who led this division for a very long time.
What's funny about this division is that the Kansas City Royals, the worst team in Major League
Baseball, are going to play a key role in who ultimately ends up as the two-seed and the six-seed
in the American League because they take on with the final.
three games of the year, the Cleveland Guardians, and right now with two more games to play
against the White Sox. Again, that's a one-game lead. The White Sox should go five and O
over their final five games. They've never been here before. This is a young team with an even
lower payroll than Tampa Bay that has no business being in this position. And yet, here they are
with five games to go and not controlling their own destiny, but in a great shot to win five
in a row, hold off teams like the Rangers, Blue Jays, and Orioles. I'm going to cross out the
Blue Jays and Orioles, they're playing each other right now.
They're likely to knock each other out.
You see the Rangers here at 78 and 79.
They're a game under 500.
An even worse division than the mediocre AL Central's, the AL West,
because the Astros are also 78 and 79.
Yordaun Alvarez says we were slapped in the face three times by the Braves over the weekend.
That's how he phrased it through a translator.
Slapped in the face three times.
They take on Seattle and the athletics.
The Rangers are taking on the Mets and the Minnesota twins.
Will this be the first division ever to be won with a team that is not better than 500?
But I show you a matchup here between the Red Sox and the Guardians, and I find this really interesting
because right now we thought the Red Sox were in position where they were definitely going to Yankee Stadium.
But they only hold a three-game lead over those White Sox who I just told you may go 5-0.
The Red Sox play Cleveland, who has something to play for, and the She's.
Chicago Cubs over the weekend.
Could the Red Sox, who have already clinched a position, end up just taking the sixth
seat, losing some of these games so that they can ultimately take on the Astros or the Rangers?
And the reason that's really interesting is they'll take on the Cubs.
The Cubs right now tied with the Phillies and the Padres in the National League Wild Card.
All three teams, 87 and 70.
The Cubs last night lose a heartbreaker in 12 innings to the Marlins who had heroic moments
from Javier Sanoha, from Jacob Marcy, from Jack Ralston, who somehow escaped in a inning.
It's insane what was happening in Chicago last night, giving up six runs in the 12th inning.
So you end up with a potential...
Wait, last, let me just land the plane.
Please let me land the plane.
You could have landed the plane if you had landed at the schedule's an appointed time to land, but you flew right past the runway.
You lost everybody...
Back in the ocean.
You lost everybody in the room.
There was no one listening to a single thing that you were saying.
And Greg
Rifled through a satchel
That's cool
Backing up
Jeremy let me explain you what happened
Okay because I was swinging the microphone
Away from a Greg Cody who was
Packing up his things to leave
Like I could hear him
I could hear him rummaging in a
Satchel and I was trying to get the
The microphone away from him
Because you were talking
We needed
We needed a bit of a tone change
In all of the information you were giving
if you could take a breath, we could just throw in Chris Cody trying to say a word.
I'm a, I would say.
I got somewhere, though.
So we could have gone.
We could have more of that.
Awesome.
Yes, we could have if you had slowed down and allowed for a breath of breathing room in here where we can make this sound.
I'm a, I would say.
I thought it was pretty well done.
All things considered.
Thank you.
The National League is more interesting than the American League.
I was ready to get there.
Yeah.
Can I, can I please?
Can I please give you just two things to watch?
When did the assholes move?
Can I just give you two more things?
Really stretch it out, though.
Please.
When did the raise drop the devil?
Bring back the devil.
Bring back the devil.
Put it on the poll at Levitard show.
Should we bring back the devil at Lebitard show?
Go ahead, Jeremy.
Finish.
Please, I implore you quickly.
Diamondbacks have five games to play at Colorado and verse San Diego.
There are four games back of all of these teams.
You could end up in a scenario this weekend where the diamond
back's travel to San Diego with a chance to sweep the Padres and take the final wildcard
spot or they could take it from the Cubs.
But the weather may control everything.
You know about that in Northeaster?
Because in Boston where the Cubs take on the Red Sox, who could have already clinched
the five seed, if there's a rain out this weekend, the Red Sox could just say, we forfeit
the game. Cubs make the playoffs. We're going in New York.
It's not the way it works.
Forfeit a game?
It's not the way.
Yes, I believe it's rule 4.15 in the MLB Handbook.
You can forfeit a game.
And that would be an insane scenario where the Cubs are falling apart at the end of the season,
lose two more games to the Miami Marlins over the next couple of days,
and the Red Sox ultimately forfeit a game.
And what do you do to reimburse all the fans who bought tickets?
You don't.
That's not how it works.
Sounds like about 50,000 lawsuits.
No, it doesn't.
Okay, Greg.
That's not what I'm talking.
You think someone's going to court for one game.
Yes, I do.
Of all the places, Greg could have taken that as a conversation.
As Jeremy, he landed the plane finally, mercifully landed the plane.
Slow landing.
Yeah, went right past, flying past.
It's a gliding.
The tarmac.
A lot of turbulence there.
Yeah, the runway.
Chris was in Greg's ear, which is also my ear, so that was a little difficult.
That's fine.
Explaining the show.
I don't.
You know what?
Get out of here.
Just get, no, no, I can't.
That's crazy.
Okay, yeah.
I mean, minor penalty, two minutes for explaining the show.
I'm glad he's out because I was going to ask a baseball question, but not him.
I watched baseball last season more than I did this season, but I really watched a lot of the playoffs.
And two big storylines were Vlad Guerrero and Cal Raleigh, and they suck now?
Yeah, they've gone a little bit here stinking.
They're not in ages where they should be sucking.
Them and their teams have been very disappointing this year.
Greg Cody still owes us a walk all the way to Seattle because when Seattle was up to
Oh on the Blue Jays he said there was no chance that they would win he'd walk to Seattle
So that is on your card with some debt Greg you understand that right you're gonna have to do that at some point
Yeah, we'll see me yes Tony you know that moment at a party or a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks
I know well it's usually when I show up everybody goes crazy yeah you usually take all the credit for it but it's because
Tony usually walks in with quervo.
Walking like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Quervo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night.
It has that effect on people. It does. You usually take the credit for it. But again, it's the
quervo effect. It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts standing
up, hooting and hollering. Keep it quervo. Keep it quervo, baby.
Ah, folks, listen up. You wouldn't want an offense alignment to play wide receiver, would you?
No, you wouldn't.
You need the right person.
You need the right equipment for the job.
That applies to football, and it definitely applies below the waste.

There is actually.
Are you not going to tell anyone?
In Tuesday.
Wait a minute.
You guys.
It's a Tuesday.
It's a Tuesday.
Greg Cody, here's your guide.
Greg Cody,
with Back in My Day.
Shut, I hope my head.
Okay, here it is.
Sorry.
Adultery.
That is.
We are back.
We're rated for this one.
This is the Dan Levitational.
Greg Cody is going to do this, and we're not joking.
Oh, yeah.
We're not joking.
Okay.
I've heard it mentioned several times that we need to figure out a plan on how it is that we make you pay this bet.
Mike brings it up at least once a month.
in the meetings.
And I think I can just say it now
that he's, I'm hoping, out of
earshot and I can just share a company
secret with everybody.
Jeremy talks twice that much in the meetings.
You need guys like that.
Yeah, I had one on my podcast.
I don't know.
Do we need guys like that, Sass?
I see everyone, like, just like you guys
tuned out, the reason I recognize you guys
weren't listening to anything he was saying on baseball,
because I've seen you all glaze over during the meetings when he talks that much.
That's not even the half of it.
Dan's right.
He talks a lot during the meetings, but he's also one of those guys who, when the meeting is about to be over, he has another question.
Guys, one more thing.
That's the thing I think that is losing everybody.
I've seen it happen a number of different times, and it's not like you guys haven't told him.
But there is a real problem reading the room with Jeremy.
He does not read the room well.
He doesn't know how to read him.
There's a thing, because I like Jeremy's energy.
I think he's really talented.
I think he's really super organized.
And I want to be like, all right, every show I come in, I'm like, I'm going to be a pro-Germy guy today.
And he just starts talking.
And so he has not yet learned that the way to win on this show is to be Chris Cody and just not say words well.
That's the way to do it.
I would say Zagak.
you get kicked out much less than he does
people like me way better than him too
were you good yesterday
tonight
tonight is bowling
Greg Cody is there anything to report
regarding bowling is there anything
you have not given us a bowling update
I think you're bowling back in my day
won the Suey Award
the best of three back in my days
the Red Sog's forfeited
you produced this last year
after saying you would produce one
every single month and now for three months and now he's going to get lazy and now he's
going to retire he promised us 12 of them last year he gave us three the bowling one
250 is the one that won any bowling updates uh i retired from bowling um for about six days
i made my comeback last week i don't recall how i did but i don't think i did very well i
think i average about 140 how did i do last week because remember nope okay so this is always
happening around here and it's why I'm accusing your father of being lazy. He cannot answer questions
for himself anymore. It's always, hey Chris, Yeti, what did I think about this? Hey, Chris or Yeti,
can you remind me about the thing I said two days ago? Yep. That's right. It's weird.
No. It's normal. This is what wins around here. It's normal when you get to be my age. It's not normal.
I have a staff.
I rely on my staff.
We have to be the show.
It's a literal staff to walk like Moses.
I wish.
I need one.
Do you guys realize that a staff at the Clevelander and somebody absconded with it?
Metal Arc Media, a proud media institution in these modern times, has nothing more distinctive that it does different than anyone else in the history of.
media, not sports media, not just American media. I am assuring you that in the history of
broadcast media, there has never been a show that on air coughs this much. Thank you. There's
never been a, you've never heard, you've never heard a coughing fit every single week from someone
who broadcast professionally. I know. Cornhusers should start that. Greg is so old and white that
it brought down our diversity numbers. Like he counted for four old white guys. Yeah. I'm a spokesman
for the white community.
Four.
Who needs me?
Who needs me?
What happened to that staff?
Yes, right?
Chris, I'll tell you what happened, okay?
As your father has aged and as that sound,
as that sound there produces the imagery of,
there are cobwebs and dust
coming out of a mouth that is making those noises, right?
Who needs me?
Who needs me?
Other idiots have chosen not to interpret.
invest in that. Metal Arc Media, which is cornered the lane on, we'll chase around Balmer
and will cough more than any show in the history of broadcast media.
Four. Who needs me? Who needs me? I didn't do that today. But you tell me, yeah,
it was today. You tell me when you guys, and I'm sure it's happened, when you guys remember,
ever in all your history watching television, one time a broadcast crew have seen
someone on it have a, have a coughing fit.
I told you, my wife is so confused when we watch back to the shows.
She knows I'm on a national show, and we watch it, and we have someone who has coughing fits live into the microphone.
She doesn't understand how, it's like, why don't you erase it, why don't you edit it?
Yeah.
I mean, it's not a bit.
I mean, I think everybody knows it's real.
I have asthma.
If I were on steroids nonstop,
if I was taking prednisone every day and every week,
I would not cough.
Zero.
I would,
my coughing.
But you cough so regularly that you don't remember that this is something
you did in the last hour.
It's nice.
Okay.
You know,
make fun of the infirm.
It is wild how numb we are to it.
Just on his podcast every week,
he has these insane coughing fits
where we're just like laughing at him.
My favorite part, though, is that it makes its appearance most often when and because he laughs.
That's more genuine his laughter, the harder he cough.
That's why I take it as like a, I pat myself on the back when he starts coughing.
I get worried because he hasn't happened recently, but he has been known to pass out when he's had one of those fits.
And I keep worrying about like today's a day where he really scares us by dropping down on the floor because he's having a fit.
But Mike, the time that he had the blackout.
out at High Line.
I'm sorry to have that.
Which is how we would have wanted to go.
And let's not just make, this was over like an eight-month period.
He fainted like four or five times.
Three times.
Sheesh.
I had one, a fainting year I had.
I had one of those two, but he's having him for different reasons.
Zaz, you had one?
A fainting year?
I had seven in one year.
Wow.
I had seven in one year.
A seven to three victory for you.
It was recently.
A route.
You had more than three.
You're so foolish.
Seven times in a year?
Yeah.
Yes. My wife has been very scared a couple of different times because, I mean, she thinks she's seeing me die.
What was he a medic about that?
I have many. Thank you. I appreciate the medical advice from you, of all people, who's coughed here for a decade.
The thing that I'm asking you about, though, is the three times you've passed out, isn't that generally because you're trying to stifle the cough because you don't want to be embarrassed?
It's not because you're coughing. It's because you're not coughing.
I'm a stifler. I stifle coughs when he gets embarrassed. I stifle sneezes. I do all that.
All right. I sent Jeremy away and he has been working on his efficiency and he's been working also on a new segment.
I don't know if you guys have seen that I saw that there were two hurricanes next to each other off of California.
And there's a possibility. One of them is a category five. And there's a lot of weird weather stuff.
A career high and fainting year. There's a lot of weird stuff happening in the weather.
and it's just getting started.
It's going to be a lot worse this winter.
So we've got a new segment with Jeremy.
I'm hoping he's slightly more efficient.
The world is on fire.
And now the weather is really about to get bad.
Climate scientists warn that the very worst super el-Nino
on historic record is approaching this winter.
The United Nations says we are officially
on forever past the point of no return on climate change.
Here is our always sunny weatherman,
Richer Sunshine.
We call him Dick.
Take it away, Dick.
Global heat wave
unleashes record Super El Nino,
triggering mass wildfires,
glacial collapse,
and historic flooding
across three continents. Back to you, Dan.
Thank you, Dick.
We will be going back to you
over and over again
to give weather
updates throughout.
Again,
His coughing's annoying.
I'm asking...
The coughing's doing too much.
He's always doing too much.
He just needs an editor.
Bob Weaver over there.
All right.
Give me the back-in-my-day music
so he can tell everybody
who Bob Weaver is
because he's no longer actually doing
back in my days.
Bob Weaver.
Hold on a second.
Just give it a second here
so that they could get you your music.
Everybody down here
remembers Weaver the Weatherman.
Bob Weaver.
big rival of Brian Norcross
back in the day when Don Noe ruled the airways
when a weatherman was a weatherman
okay and they did stand-ups like that
you'd see a guy at a beach
a palm tree would be blowing over in the background
and they would be talking into a mic like nothing happened
how about it for Weaver
I'm Bob Weaver he was no Rick Weaver
but he was the second best Weaver in the market for years
that's all I got.
It was clear.
Yeah.
It was a third meteorologist down here.
They weren't rivals.
North Cross and Bob Weaver were different times.
They weren't rivals.
No one Weaver were, right?
Bob Super.
You got your timelines all screwed up.
It was another SVN guy.
You just started mentioning Weathermen and you didn't have any of your information correct.
Well, you know, it's all correct.
It's not all correct.
What are you thinking about Bill Kamal?
Don't do that.
You know what? Earl Weaver may have been the best weaver in the market
now that I think about it.
Earl Weaver's son was a starter at a golf course we used to play.
It was Jed Weaver.
Wasn't he your neighbor?
He was my neighbor.
You almost get in a fight with Jed Weaver?
Weavers.
Tony, you know that moment at a party or a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks?
I know it well.
It's usually when I show up.
Everybody goes crazy.
Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it.
But it's because Tony usually walks in with quervo.
I'm walking like this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Quervo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night.
It has that effect on people.
It does.
You usually take the credit for it.
But again, it's the quervo effect.
It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts standing up, hooting and hollering.
Keep it quervo.
Keep it quervo, baby.
