Starting point is 00:00:00 My favorite part of the football season is the confidence everybody has before it kickoff. Zaslo already knows how the game is going to end. Tony has studied every possible matchup and Chris Cody is convinced his fantasy team is unbeatable. Then the game starts, everything immediately goes off the rails, and suddenly nobody remembers making any of those predictions. That's why a legendary game day starts with an ice cold Miller light. Whether I'm at a tailgate, watching with friends, or settling in for a full Saturday of college football, Miller Light is the beer I can depend on.
Starting point is 00:00:32 It's crisp, refreshing, and has a clean finish that hits perfectly during a hot South Florida game day. Miller Light is the original light beer with great taste, and beer lovers have trusted it for more than 50 years. Make game day legendary. Go to Miller Lite.com slash Dan to find delivery options near you, or you can pick up some Miller Lite pretty much anywhere they sell beer. Game time is Miller Time. Celebrate responsibly. Starting point is 00:01:03 Let me give you a true story. I was at my favorite bar. Guy working behind the bar, a good friend of mine, huge Bills fan. I opened up the game time map and a spur in the moment decision, let's go to Bill's Lions, home opener at the brand new stadium.
Starting point is 00:01:17 And game time delivered, as it always does for me. It makes finding tickets incredibly easy, even when I decide at the last minute that I need to be at a game, even if it's not even in the state I'm in. I can see a panoramic seed view before I buy. The price shown includes all fees. What you see is what you pay, period.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Game Time also has zone deals. You choose a section, they choose the seats, and you save money. Starting point is 00:02:23 Minnesota goes to Chicago, and the one thing that we know that Ben Johnson's going to do is have these boys put up a ton of points, but they're also going to give a ton up as well. Going up against the Minnesota Vikings who just put up 39 against the Packers, give me the over 48.5. Well, actually, I was going to pick the exact same game, but I have a little bit of a different take, if you don't mind. Minnesota has won six straight games in Chicago. Even with Kyler Murray questionable, even if Carson Went starts, I like the Vikings a lot, getting five and a half points.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Oh, Arch Manning made himself quite a bit of a mess this weekend. after the whole Holly Roe fiasco. And he clearly was a Joker. He clearly was a buffoon. He clearly has some of the worst decision making that we've seen. But Juju, does he deserve Joker of the Day status? Because to me, if he doesn't make the list, me and you are going to have some problems.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yes, yes, yes. He definitely deserves to be on the list but the Joker of the day is so monumental, I don't know. So, yes, we're going to throw Arch into the nominations. I really want to throw the reporters from that room with Arch and a bigger conversation about that because those supposed to be the adults. When I was 22, I was making a mistake after mistake.
Starting point is 00:04:00 So I blamed him adults a little more. Also, James Franklin and that little jokerish tirade he had with the, the other reporter, pretty jokerish. Hey, Michael. You feel me? And side note, that's how police talked to me. How James Franklin was talking to, bro. That's how all police talked to me.
Starting point is 00:04:22 But there is only one joker of the day, bro. The Joker of the Millennium, maybe. This award has been called the Mario Cristobal Joker of the Day. Now I'm changing the title, taking it down. the Miami Herald you no good being eating bell hugging my brother was enjoying his birthday
Starting point is 00:04:47 in his damn birthday how many birthdays we got we got a hundred left or 50 left I don't know how many we got but damn it that day is special and I'll be damn if I got to listen to this shit on my damn birthday you couldn't hit me tomorrow
Starting point is 00:05:02 you couldn't hit me yesterday you're gonna hit me on my day on my damn birthday. No, no, no, no, no. Not all them years of service. My big brother gave to y'all. Hell no. Not the way that he got the podcast going over here,
Starting point is 00:05:15 putting y'all name on the podcast with, God damn it. No, no, no, no. I know I've been hacked. I know Shams didn't tweet that. So for that, you guys are the jokers of the millennium. I don't give a damn botcha. Get them out of you. Hell yeah, Jujoo.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Thank you. Thank you, Juj. Are you going to be cryogenically? frozen? I think I might be. Yeah, I'm thinking about it. It hadn't been announced yet. It hadn't been announced yet. A cryogenically frozen is crazy. What Sidney decided to do after getting
Starting point is 00:05:49 filleted on the internet is crazy. I'm fine with what she did for the record. I'm good with it too. I'm not talking about the ads. Did you see what she did after the fact? So people are upset because Sidney Sweeney is doing an advertisement for some random, uh, addiction market. Yeah, I'll buy that product.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Yeah, you will. I will not. Except for you would be an anti-company man if you did that, so no. God, your judgment today. Basically naked with a bunch of sporting equipment, kind of looking like Kyle Brandt. And so people are saying that she's a reckless chill. People are giving her hard time after that good jeans commercial. I don't know if you guys remember that one. I'm aware of that one, I believe. But what wrong things did they say? Yeah. So she basically put out a bunch of female athletes in the ESPN body issue. I don't
Starting point is 00:06:35 know if you guys have seen that she put serena williams's photo out there she put uh who else was it kind of like a hey look what they've done too yeah look at rob gronkowski got naked um carlo's stand no one forgets that rounder ronda rousey got naked does does she it where are we at on sidney swing i feel like there's a lot of people really upset about this and to me it's a little bit strange anyone no one no i mean it's ridiculous what what what sydney sweet is doing I think we're at a great place with her. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:07:11 That's pretty much all we need to hear. Zaz saying we're in a great place because what she's done to put women in sports who are already in such a bad spot in a worse one by bringing sexualized women toward the sports world
Starting point is 00:07:28 is it's incredibly negatively impacting to see so many women that I knew feeling the need to sort of post about it and be like, no, this isn't okay. This isn't what our relationship is to sports. This isn't how this should be perceived. I literally earlier that week had a conversation with a reporter who was around the opposing team on the Marlins earlier in the season who was talking to me about a really uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:07:54 position that she was in in the locker room. And it was specifically, she was like, now I feel the need to dress differently. I feel the need to interact with the athletes differently. That stuff is happening around sports all the time. and you have Sidney who has absolutely nothing to do with sports bringing that image even more toward these games.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Yeah, and just sports. Good job out of Jeremy here. It's ridiculous. We were all quiet. We were all quiet. I was a lot of dear. I actually thought it was kind of good too. Did you just see she get the flowers of the day?
Starting point is 00:08:26 I know you got an award for that as well. Yeah, I got some flowers for you as well. But at the same time, that's why I agree with Jeremy and you and that's why it was so dangerous what Ms. Linda Cohn did last week of making them accusations towards Asia. Bro, they already got enough going on over there. There's a lot of hatred she getting already.
Starting point is 00:08:44 You're going to throw this into the fire. But neither here nor there. Dan already told sis where she can go. But I got some flowers of the day. 1,000 percent, brother and sisters. Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor. They just launched the Pivot Sports Weekly
Starting point is 00:09:03 with a big old set. I'm talking about professional ESPN looking. It looks incredible and the takes are incredible. As brothers and sisters in this world, we always be like, bro, we know why we don't never go farther. It's because we still go back to them. We still go and subscribe to the people who keeping us down. Them brothers made their own lane, made their own show and said, look, we're betting on ourselves. So, hey, man, if you out there, you want to support some independence, the pivot, salute. I love what Ryan Clark is doing.
Starting point is 00:09:36 who's starting their own thing. Craig, Cody's going to be starting his own thing soon with his substack. So, Craig. We hope so. We hope so. We hope so. Got a hundred years. It's not official yet, but we're hoping to be on substacks soon.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I'm told that there's some sort of... We're loyal to you. We are. Thank you. I'm going to help you. I'm going to help you. I appreciate that. I think what was the first retting thing?
Starting point is 00:09:56 It was called Cody's World? Cody's... The Cody News? Cody News. Oh, the Cody News. I think that's what your substack should be called. The Cody News. No, we're not joking.
Starting point is 00:10:05 That's a good idea. That's a good news. That was free. I'm going to think about that. Well, wasn't it? What happened to random evidence of a cluttered mind? Yeah. That was the name of my blog and that was the name of my blog and in one of my notes going for a while.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I don't like that one as well. It's a little wordy. It's a little wordy. We're going to still workshop this. What is this reckless speculation? Oh, we're not doing that? What's happening with that? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:30 The people who got to us, the same people who be threatening Pablo, they threatened me. about this one, so I said, you know what, we're going to keep that one right here. We're going to keep that in office. All right, Juju, you've got some post-show wars and polls? Yes, sir, man. I'm flustered now because we punted this. No, I don't think I heard it. You want me to talk about Sidney more?
Starting point is 00:10:51 No, no, I don't. I'm deeply uncomfortable now. It's all good, sis. You did a great job today, man, sitting in the bit. Yeah, there you go. It wasn't a good hair day. My mom hates me. We'll see how it was a great hair. We're going to see how it went today if you're in it tomorrow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Oh. Damn. I got the first award. I want to give the Zaslow, man, for the Oops. I forgot the sponsor award. Oh, yeah. You got the sponsor. Good job.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Yeah. Good job on that. Salute, man. Also, I want to give the Oops. I also forgot the sponsor award to my sister. Oh, good job. Good job. Good job.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I also want to give the. Oops, I forgot that the Tom Hardy thing is a sponsor thing as well award to Dan Lovartag. Classic Dan. Classic Dan. I thought we were so close. I was saying to myself what a great spot it was until Dan had to at the end. Exactly. He's gone, right?
Starting point is 00:11:51 Stop. We don't know. I'm so like to get a real spiel award to our brother Kyle Brandt. For reminding us, man, be yourself, bro. Don't be all these other people. Be yourself. See, Kyle. 100.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Yes, sir, man. Also, the best revelation. Ooh, look at my brother Kyle. Looking just like my boy, Howie. You dig it. But the best revelation award got to go to my big brother. Greg Cody, man. Who would have known he got a backyard full of jumping charlie's.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Yeah, but that you revealed that. That's how my whole backyard. Proudly saying there is shit all over my backyard. It smells like a rose back there. Come on. And Juju, we got some polls as well? Yes, sir. And right before the pose, we got from online, I wanted to let you know, Greg, that Elliot Johnson says that if Jessica Smatanna would have been here, she would have had your back because in the Lord of the Rings, those mountains have doors. So salute to Elliot Johnson. Yeah. Mount Gregor. Yes. It's all good. Trist, I got your back, man. Jesus. What a rough one. One little thing can just wreck your whole day, you know? Go ahead, Jiu-J-J-G. Exactly. First bow. are we all numb to how disgusting the Cody's are.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Damn. 91% of the audience says yes. The Unabomber isn't wrong. Whoa. That's a brutal clip. You said it. We cut nothing out of that. Followed by in this one instance.
Starting point is 00:13:25 The Unabomber isn't wrong. Oh, God. Oh, wow. Does Derek Henry deserve to be on the Mount Rush. more of running backs already. 78% of the audience says, yes, he does. The Unabomber isn't wrong. Has Derek Henry been tackled more times than any other human in the history of humans?
Starting point is 00:13:53 72% of the audience says, yes, he has. The Unabomber isn't wrong. Is week one a prolific liar? 93% of the audience says, yes, it is. The Unabomber isn't wrong. For the love of God. I think we've got to keep going with it. It's going to make the club.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Let's not do that. Goal boy. Will Kyle Brandt look like Howie Long when he gets older? 88% of the audience says, yes, he will. The Unabomber isn't wrong. And last. Can Lamar Jackson be the league's best offensive player when he's not the best offensively?
Starting point is 00:14:35 in his own backyard. Oh, I'm backfield. I'm thinking about jumping Charlie. 80% of the audience says no, and those are your pose. It was Blackburn. Thanks, Juj. Thank y'all.
