My favorite part of the football season is the confidence everybody has before it kickoff.
Zaslo already knows how the game is going to end.
Tony has studied every possible matchup and Chris Cody is convinced his fantasy team is unbeatable.
Then the game starts, everything immediately goes off the rails and suddenly nobody remembers making any of those predictions.
That's why a legendary game day starts with an ice cold Miller light.
Whether I'm at a tailgate, watching with friends, or settling in for a full Saturday of college football.
Miller Light is the beer I can depend on.
It's crisp, refreshing, and has a clean finish that hits perfectly during a hot South Florida game day.
Miller Light is the original light beer with great taste, and beer lovers have trusted it for more than 50 years.

Let me give you a true story.
I was at my favorite bar.
Guy working behind the bar, a good friend of mine,
huge Bills fan.
I opened up the game time map
and a spur in the moment decision,
let's go to Bill's Lions,
home opener at the brand new stadium.
And game time delivered,
as it always does for me.
It makes finding tickets incredibly easy,
even when I decide at the last minute
that I need to be at a game,
even if it's not even in the state I'm in.
I can see a panoramic seed view
before I buy. The price shown includes all fees. What you see is what you pay, period.

You are listening to the Dan Levitar show,
in partnership with the Drafkin Sports Act,
now live in all 50 states.
So the skill of high school softball players,
we were just talking about how incredible
all of these girls are in comparison to the baseball side,
and we found the video, shout out to our video team,
we found the video of Dan Lebitard
trying to take swings against a high,
high school softball pitcher.
Let's show off Dan's level of athleticism here.
So he's been swinging to fastballs and...
Oh, come on.
Check the swing.
And they played him shallow.
Not only checked to his swing.
You had eight infielders in there, basically.
You had everyone standing right near knowing that he wouldn't even touch this pitch.
Guys, it's amazing.
We're burying the lead here.
Yeah.
Like, it's not that he took the swing.
It's not that they pulled all everyone in.
It's the fact that...
Ten stumbles to the ground.
He trips over his feet and falls.
down on the ground.
Yeah, to articulate this to the audio audience, Dan thinks he's going to see a fastball.
He loads up, ready to go.
And the moment that that pitch comes in with any level of spin, by the way, pitch right down
the middle of the plate.
So this pitch comes at him and he takes a load and then steps with the front foot,
his back foot slips from under him, his front foot slips again, and he falls to the
ground as dirt flies everywhere.
And by the way, not only a check swing.
He doesn't get to swing off.
His hands barely move.
His entire lower body gives out on him.
So, I want to say shout out to that pitcher.
Yeah.
And shout out to Dan's horrendous level of athleticism.
Yeah.
You know what I think?
What's that?
I think that deserves a toast.
Oh, yeah.
Dan's athleticism deserves a toast and worth a toast.
Yeah.
Is presented by Cuervo.
Keep it fun.
Keep it.
Quervo.
Dan's athleticism.
Something to behold every single time we see it.
This is just 100% quervo, by the way, that I've been chugging on all day.
Makes sense with how the show.
show is gone. Yeah. A little rickety, a little crooked, but always finds its way. Ah, quervo. All right, man.
This is an interesting time in sports history, because the marketing that happens at games
to get people to go to games is pushing all the boundaries. Oh, we had college night. Oh, I remember
going and catching Hawks games for five bucks because it was college night. Oh, thank you, thank you.
We've had, oh, like senior citizens night, all these theme nights, right?
But the Atlanta Hawks, Trista, are having a single AF night?
I couldn't believe it.
I texted Juju who lives in Atlanta, who's not single AF.
He's actually booed up A.F.
He even had...
Her birthday was recently.
Her birthday was recently.
Yeah, shout out.
He dedicated the segment, the post-game segment to her, flowers to her.
But I said to him, I said, did you know,
Did you see this?
This is another.
We have to really give claps to the Atlanta Hawks Marketing Department as a whole
because they just keep putting out banger after banger.
And if it wasn't for that pesky kid, Luke Cornett,
we would have gotten the Magic City Night as well.
Yes, we would have.
They have just been thinking creatively in ways that no other NBA team has.
And now they're going to have people coming to the arena.
I believe it's going to be in January against the Indiana Pacers,
and they're already pre-selling tickets.
Hey, it's IRL.
Don't go on Bumble.
Don't go on these other apps.
See each other in real life.
Evaluate each other in real life and see maybe if you can find the love your life at a Hawks game.
Is there a matching involved or just like humanity, go?
I think it's like, hey, everyone who's at this game.
You know.
Is single.
Yeah.
When I was single A-F, I was like, how do I let people know that I'm single A-F?
Is there like an icon on my Instagram?
I don't really want people in real life to just assume it, you know?
I don't think you want that on your Instagram because then that invites so much.
People were saying like, oh, put a pineapple there or put a whatever, the pause, pause, pause.
I don't know what the pineapple, why it means a pause.
But for people who go to this game, it's basically open season.
And hey, shoot your shot.
Shoot your shot.
Now, what happens to all the season ticket holders?
Like, oh, I'm Dr. So-and-So, and this is my lovely wife, Dr. So-and-so, because doctors like dating doctors were married to doctors.
And we're just here to enjoy, oh, those pesky Tyrese Halliburton lead Pacers.
We want them to fall to our great, mighty Atlanta Hawks.
Honey, I'm just going to go get some popcorn.
And next thing you know, someone's hitting on Dr. So-and-so.
Like, hey, what's up?
What's good?
It's single AF, not an un-single is AF.
Well, hopefully they'll have their ring on.
And it doesn't look like they are single A-F.
It's like, oh, this is just, this is the season ticket holder with this ring on.
Oh, I have a rash.
I got scratch it.
Hold on.
They just get to be Zaz and watch.
They get a chair in the corner.
I love the marketing of this.
I haven't.
So how have they been pitching this to the people?
Just came out yesterday and it was like, hey, buy your tickets.
to this game against the Indiana Pacers,
and we're going to have a meetup in the concourse,
and you guys are, I don't know if it's going to be like speed dating,
but just the idea that people are thinking creatively about
how to get new people to watch games.
Because you know there's going to be some people
who don't like basketball.
I'm coming to get some...
Come on!
To the meat market.
Shopping.
Oh, boy.
Oh, boy.
Speaking of meat market.
Matthew Berry's here.
Yeah. What's up, Roy?
Matthew Berry.
Matthew Barry.
Matthew Barry.
Matthew Barry.
These fantasy picks are delivered by Little Caesars,
the official pizza sponsor of the NFL.
Right now, score two faves just for you
with Detroit-style slices and sticks for just $4.99.
Only at Little Caesars, officially delicious, Matthew.
Pizza pizza.
Yeah, hey, before I dive into some of the facts
that we need to know for week number two,
Can I address Trista for one quick second here, my old friend Trista Crick?
Hey.
Hey, what's up, buddy?
I just, you know, I give advice for a living.
This is what I do, Trista.
I do not put a pineapple on your social media because that doesn't actually mean I'm single.
It means something entirely different.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Are you aware of this?
Oh, I didn't.
That means you're a swinger.
Yeah.
It means you're a swinger.
It means you're actually in a couple, but you're in an open relationship and you're looking to swing.
How do you know that?
Everyone knows it. How does everyone not know that? I will tell you, I mean, this is the thing. Does no one else on the show know this? Oh, we all know it. We all know. We all know that. Yeah, I was going to say, I feel like it's something in popular culture. I actually know it because one time a while ago, a friend of mine. No, no, I'll tell you. No, a good friend of mine was telling this story. And she was like, it was the weirdest thing. Like these new neighbors walked in, these new neighbors.
neighbors moved in next to us and they came over like Sunday night at 9 o'clock and they rang
the door and we're like, wow, that's kind of late. And so we go down and they came over with a
pineapple and we're like, wow, that's so friendly of new neighbors. I'm like, no, that wasn't a,
that wasn't we're new to the neighborhood and we want to say hi, right? I'm like, when you bring a
pineapple, anyway, so we had to explain to them what it meant. So new kind of fantasy life, you know what I mean.
Hey. Yes, I do. See, you're learning. There we go. I'm just, I'm just, you know, I'm trying to
give you a heads up, a little help, a little helpful hint there, just as you, you're so good
at social media. I'm surprised you did not know what that specific symbol meant. Yeah, put it on the
poll. Do you know what a pineapple means? Usually upside down. Upside down. Oh, it's got to be upside
down. Usually it's an upside down pineapple. How do you put an upside down pineapple in an emoji form?
You just put the pineapple. Now we're getting into too many technical details. But the, the point is,
If you go by a house, if you go to an apartment, if you go to, if you're on a cruise ship
and you see like a upside-dine pineapple that's upside down on somebody's door, yeah.
Ready for business.
They are open for business.
They are ready to mingle.
They're semi-single and ready to mingle.
Yep, no doubt.
He's Matthew Berry.
He's the founder of FantasyLife.com and the host of Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew
Barry.
You can catch that on Audassie.
I feel like I can't say Odyssey anymore because that sounds like something different.
Matthew, what you got for us today, man?
Give me some pointers, some tips, some hints.
I got you, my friend.
Since taking over as the starter in week four of last season,
Jackson Dart is the fourth best quarterback in fantasy football on a points for a game basis.
At least 19 fantasy points in 10 of his 12 full games.
By the way, he's had Malik neighbors on the field for only two of those games.
Hey, in week one, 34% of Aaron Rogers' past attempts actually traveled 15 or more air yards.
Not only was that the highest rate in any game since he joined the Steelers,
but it was also the first time that number even reached 25%.
If this trend continues, good things might actually happen for D.K. Metcalfe this season.
This past Monday, in his first game with the Kansas City Chiefs, Ken Walker,
saw a 24% target share that was actually tied for the team lead.
And it was also the second highest target share of his career.
If he continues to be used in the passing game like that,
number one running back in fantasy football is within the range of outcomes for Kenneth Walker.
In his first game under Clint Kubiak, Ashton Genti had a utilization score of 99.
Utilization score is a proprietary metric that we came up with FantasyLife.com
in terms of how much they're used in situations that score fantasy points.
The highest you can get is 100.
Gentie had a 99 score in week one.
The only running back with a higher utilization score was Beijon Robinson.
In his first game, sharing a backfield with Kenneth Gainwell,
Bucky Irving, saw a 26% target share that was a career high.
He also ran eight more routes than Gainwell.
He saw both running back Red Zone touches.
We may have been too low on Bucky Irvin in the preseason.
Nine different games, nine different career games,
where Jalen Coker has gotten at least a 20% target share.
And in those games, he averages over 17 fantasy points for game.
He's getting that 20% target share, by the way,
in five of his last seven games.
Adam Thielen was a guest on Fantasy Football Happy Hour in the preseason,
and he told me, Jalen Coker is the best wide receiver on the Panthers.
Cokeheads unite!
It's finally our time.
Jalen Coker going to explode.
Week one, Matthew Golden led the Packers.
Not Christian Watson.
Matthew Golden led the Packers in both target chair and route participation.
He might be wide receiver 1A.
I'm still a Christian Watson believer, but Matthew Golden might be there.
In week number one, no Titan had a higher route participation
than Colston Loveland's 89%.
I get it.
He scored zero points.
He saw only two targets a game in a game in which the Bears scored 59 points.
But I'm just telling you,
But Caleb doesn't miss on two throws, including one in the end zone.
The stat line would be completely different.
I'm all in on the Bears.
Give me all the Colston Loveland.
I'm not panicking.
Finally, Harold Fanon, 14% target share in week one was his lowest in a completed game since week five or last season.
His 21 receiving yards second fewest in a game in his career.
Probably won't always be this bad.
But Sean Watson doesn't help.
And Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston are going to continue to take targets away.
That's why we talked about this in the preseason.
Harold Fanon's stat line last year was inflated by massive target share that he's not going to
get this year. And those are just some of the 10 facts you need to know before week one.
My favorite part of the football season is the confidence everybody has before kickoff.

I'll go with this one.
Dave Demichick.
It is come time now.
This is the Dan Levitar show.
I'd like to jump in here and commend Matthew Barry for having the guts to show up this morning
after what happened in the ACC showdown on the banks of the Three Rivers last night,
while Matthew Barry and David Feeney and all Q's lovers lick their wounds at the hands of Mason Heinssel and company.
I want to get your insight on this, Matthew Barry, is a fantasy guy.
I find that fantasy can sometimes provide some context.
This week after the Derek Henry week one big game, other people, Mekebio, Tony, among them,
have declared that Derek Henry is now a top five Super Bowl arrow.
running back. I'm curious if you can apply some fantasy measurement to this. How would you rank
the top five in the Super Bowl era? Sorry to put you on the spot here, but who would you say
projection of, who would you say one through five, one through three are the greatest fantasy
running backs of the Super Bowl era? One through five, off the top of my head, Ladanian Tomlinson's number
one. I would say, I would say Marshall Falk is two. Yeah. Multi-purpose. You know, I mean,
Chris McCaffrey's got to be in there somewhere, right?
So Chris McCaffrey's top five.
Boy, it wasn't a super long career, but, you know, I mean, Priest Holmes jumped in my mind.
You know, I think about Brian Westbrook, how good he was for so many years.
Edron James.
You know, it would be the best, Matthew, Bay.
I'm just playing this game with you.
Sorry to put down the spot.
I don't think Derek Henry's top five, though.
I mean, as much as I love Derek Henry, I think, you know, I mean, like Emmett Smith.
Right? I mean, Emmett Smith would be up there.
Emmett Smith was like, you know, year after year, touchdown after touchdown.
Thurman Thomas, probably, too, with the pass catching.
Yeah, and, oh, and Adrian Peterson, what am I talking about?
Adrian Peterson. I don't know how I forgot him.
Adrian Peterson over Derek Henry.
Again, I love Derek Henry.
And what he's doing, like, he's a genetic freak of nature.
And the fact that every single year, like, it's so funny.
Like, one of the things I put in my preseason, he was on my preseason love list this year, Damashek.
And one of the things I wrote is like, you know, quote,
Derek Henry has had too many carries. He's too old. He's going to get injured. I said,
we've only written that sentence for seven straight years. I mean, like, people have been trying
to bury Derek Henry for five, six years now. And every year he keeps defying expectation,
the rule that the rule that breaks all the rules. Like, Derek Henry's unbelievable,
but I do not agree that he's a top five running back in the NFL era from a fantasy football
perspective as you asked me. Matthew, you're missing a bunch of huge years.
2,000 yards, 17 touchdowns, 1,900 yards, 16 touchdowns,
more years with multi 10 plus touchdowns than not.
Like, there was a couple of those.
Like, I think he's got more longevity than CMC,
even though CMC's ceiling's been higher.
Priest Holmes only did it for, what, three years, four years?
Yeah, no, I said, I don't think Priest Holmes is top five either.
He just popped in my mind.
LT is one with a bullet.
Yes, LT is one with a bullet.
I think Marshall Falk is hard to top too.
And then I think you can get into some debate.
I think that's right.
Yeah.
I think Thurm would be in there, like I say, Thurman Thomas, a guy, like, it's fun to play historical fantasy football.
Like Tony Dorset would be great in fantasy.
There just was no fantasy football in 1978 to play.
But, you know, and Damashek, in the Thurman Thomas mold, Sean Alexander, you know.
Monster years.
Sean, I feel like, you know, he had so many years in Seattle.
They just weren't, you know, they just never got, you know, over that hump.
But, yeah, I mean, Sean Alexander would be.
somewhere in the mix. He's definitely
not top five, but he's somewhere in the mix.
Yeah, but there's a lot of, there's a lot of
great ones. Matthew.
First world. Oh, sorry, go ahead, Tristan.
No, go ahead, Shaq. It's your world, bro.
No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm a gentleman.
This is my favorite kind of radio right here.
Just no, no, no, you go about us.
Tony, you got something. By the way, I just want to be clear her.
The thing I disagree most within the segment is Demashek
calling himself a gentleman.
That's honestly, let's be clear about that.
I tip my cap to you, and I honor.
you for showing up this morning after the orange embarrassed themselves.
Yeah, but the orange always embarrassed themselves.
And that was one of those backhanded compliments.
I was like sort of, hey, good for, good for showing up today because, you know,
and then crap all over me.
And it's my orange, which I agree.
We've got challenges there.
I watched Josh Allen, proud fantasy life investor Josh Allen,
completely destroy the lions last night.
That's what I actually watched on TV.
Sheck also called himself a vigorous lover earlier today.
So there's been a lot of superlain.
being thrown around by Damashek in the in in in Hollywood when you maybe he's a maybe he's a
pineapple lover who know I'm a vigorous lovemaker wow exactly interesting when you look you ever had a
damage I have you ever had a pineapple outside your door I have not but you know I in a separate
list among the fruit rankings the pineapple it remains criminally underrated I'm fair and there
there are multiple uses for it for sure was definitely thinking that is
well. Let's pivot to football because I'm getting like really derailed in the ways that we could go
this way. But when you're looking at wide receivers and making a decision in terms of not just
who to start, but who to pick up on the waiver wire, like Vellet had an awesome game, right,
for New Orleans. I just got them off the waiver wire because Xavier Worthy is worth nothing to me
anymore. Are you looking at targets per game? Are you looking at the quarterback play? Like,
how are we deciphering from one week? Like, who is the guy we want to go out and get on the waiver
wire? Yeah, I think, Trista, there's a lot of data points that go into it. And so at a very
basic level, it's just sort of like, why did this happen and can it happen again? So specifically
to Devon Valle, who you just mentioned, is the number two wide receiver in the Saints,
why did this happen? Well, St. Stephen isn't great. Kellynne Moore.
always plays in an incredibly fast pace of play. They did. I think they ran 90 plays against the
Lions, 76 in the, in regulation, it went to overtime. So it's always, Kellyn Moore's offense
has always been one of the faster pace of play teams. And so you're like, okay, this is a team
that's going to throw, that's going to play upbeat, that's going to have a lot of possessions.
The run game didn't look great. And then you think, oh, well, the reason Devon Bailey is getting
this opportunity is Jordan Tyson. Jordan Tyson's going to miss six weeks, maybe eight, maybe more.
And so you think, like, can this continue?
And the answer in the case of Valey is, I think so.
Because he's going to be basically the number two wide receiver on an offense that we like.
We like Tyler Shuck.
We like Kellan Moore.
We like the pace of play.
We don't love the defense.
So they're going to be in this situation more often than not.
He's a good player, solid player.
And so, yes, why did it happen?
Partially because of game script, but partially because the offense is in and the opportunity they had.
Will that continue? Yes, I believe so. So there's a lot of data points, but that's where you go to specifically with somebody like Bailey.
Matthew, have a- Real quick, Dr. Fantasy. I have a quick one for you. You mentioned D.K. Metcalf, disappointing week one. A lot of drops there. Jalen Waddle, even more disappointing. Going into week two, D.K. matched up against Christian Gonzalez and Foxborough, or do you like to roll with Waddle to get right against Jacksonville a mile high?
I'm going with Waddle here. I mean, like you saw Sean Payton at the, you know, at halftime, whatever. I mean, you know, David,
Webb calling the plays for the first time. I am sure Sean Payton has his thumb on the scale this week.
You don't go in and get somebody like Jalen Waddle. I will say just in a general sense,
Damashek, all due respect to D.K. Metcalf and your Steelers, I prefer Jalen Waddle as a wide receiver
at the stage of the respective careers right now. I think he's just better, younger.
I prefer the offensive environment of the Broncos, despite what we saw on Monday night. I prefer the
offensive environment of the Broncos than to the Steelers that I think will be, you know, more balanced.
and a little bit more run heavy.
But I was encouraged, as I mentioned my 10 facts,
I was encouraged by the fact that Rogers,
you know, finally took some shots deep,
whereas last year it was all dink and dunk, as you know.
So I prefer Waddle this week.
He's my wide receiver 21.
I'm back in.
I know it was a brutal game in week one,
but the Broncos who have Super Bowl aspirations,
and, you know, Trista, you do so much betting,
so I mean, you know this.
The odds of a team that starts O and 2 going to the Super Bowl
are really steep.
The Broncos have to win this game.
They cannot go to 0-2. I mean, they have obvious Super Bowl aspirations, rightfully so.
So I think the Broncos get back on track this week.
I think Jacksonville gives them a game. I mean, Trevor Lawrence had a huge game last year against them.
But I'm in on Waddle to answer that question.
I want to do something with you, Matthew, here. I'm going to give you some stats.
I want to see if you can blind pick who it is that I'm talking about with these stats.
Okay, we ready?
All right.
What are these? Can I ask, is this like week one stats?
Is this last year stats?
This is a grab bag of the last.
last nine games for this player.
But no, no. Okay. It'll make
sense. It'll make sense. It'll make sense. All right.
In the last nine games, this person,
this quarterback, has
the number one record in 9-0. He's
thrown for 2,500 yards was fourth best
in the last nine games, 28 touchdowns,
1-11 as a QBR.
This past week,
0.7 EPA, good for 98th percent
overall, 16.2
completion percentage over-expectation.
and in week one in 10 plus yards down field, 11 of 13, 4 touchdown, 0 picks, and a perfect passer rating.
I would think it's either Trevor Lawrence or Caleb Williams would be my two guesses.
It's T-Baltz Trevor Lawrence.
Nailed it. Wow.
Can you put into perspective how good he's been?
He's been unbelievable. The traveler's been great.
During that stretch, that was one of those games was in Denver where people were like, oh, he's beating up on some bad teams.
and then he went into Denver and just absolutely destroyed them.
Yeah, I mean, I think Liam Cohen's done a great job with that.
He finally, you know, Trevor Lawrence has finally become the quarterback he was drafted,
and everyone thinks he will be.
I don't think it's a given that the Broncos win this game.
I just think that the Broncos will show up in a way that they didn't against Kansas City.
Like, I think it's going to be a very good game.
But yeah, I mean, like, Trevor Lawrence is legit, and that offense they built around him.
People think Parker Washington is just a guy.
Parker Washington can play.
You know, we need Brian Thomas Jr. to get back to how he was as a rookie, but Jacoby Myers is a guy that is criminally underrated, whether it was with the Raiders or the Patriots, he always earns targets. You know, Brent Strange saw a little tight end. You know, we'll see if they get more out of Travis Hunter on the offensive side of the ball. He played mostly defense in week one. But yeah, I mean, the Jags are legit.
Love a little strange, right, Matthew?
No doubt, Trista, no doubt. That's what you should put on your Instagram bio right there.
Just looking for a little strange pineapple emoji.
Rico Dowdle last year and the year before,
like truly explosive, broke out and now seems to be on a team that offensively,
you mentioned just a second ago, is a little up and down.
How should we evaluate the running game of the Steelers and Rico's role,
balancing his skill with opportunity?
Yeah, that's the problem is.
I just don't think the opportunity.
opportunity is going to be there. And skill-wise, I think he's a nice running back. But do I think he's
significantly better than Jalen Warren? I don't. I think you can make an argument Warren is better.
And more importantly, Warren has the connection with Aaron Rogers. Despite Dowdell's relationship
with Mike McCarthy back from when they were in Dallas, and obviously he was one of the reasons
you know, McCarthy brought Dowdell in. When you get on the field for the Steelers, it's going to be
at the, you know, at the blessing of Aaron Rogers. And there's a trust factor with Jalen
Warren there for Rogers that I don't know that Dowell has as much. I like you,
asking an obscure Steelers question just to suck up to Damashek.
But I think Dowdell is basically like a flex play in fantasy where you're hoping for a touchdown.
I just don't think it's going to be a high-powered offense because I don't think they need to be.
I think it's going to be one of the best defenses in the NFL as it always is.
And it looked like from week one they're going to be a little bit more aggressive on offense.
But still, like, I mean, between Metcalf and Pittman and you've got the tight ends,
I think you're going to see a rebirth of Friarmouth this year.
Nice week one for him.
Like, just feels like a lot of Malstafi.
on a low scoring off.
I mean, but, you know, just like a, it's a fine offense, a functioning offense.
I think, yeah, is my taste.
I'll say this, Matthew Barry, just to provide the other side.
I think that if I, well, I'll forecast it by the end of it, RICO will get more touches than Warren will by season's end.
And I agree with you about the potential of that defense, even if Joey Porter Jr.
never puts the uniform on.
It could be a top five defense.
that means a lot of running the ball to spin the clock in the second half,
and I think that favors doubtle over.
I agree.
You got some fumble issues there.
Other side of that game in Foxborough, though, are you, how much, if at all, have you dropped
Drake May minus A.J. Brown plus the three pixie through in Seattle.
Yeah, it wasn't great.
I mean, I think he's, if I was drafting today, you know, which, by the way, you can
still do it at guillotineleagues.com.
I'll throw on a plug, the company man.
I would, I have May is more of a lower end QB1 than like the top three guy he was going for.
The AJ Brown loss is significant.
And, and there's no question.
Teams have had a whole year to get tape on Drake May and a Josh McDaniels offense.
Their schedule is a lot harder this year than it was last year.
Now, I still, look at, he had a bad day at the office, right?
He went on the road at Seattle, tough place to play, loses A.J. Brown early in the game.
So I'm willing to, you know, give some caveats there.
but certainly he is losing AJ Brown is a significant loss for Drake May's fantasy value.
There's no question.
So he's still a QB1 to me, but a lower one.
Last question.
Dobs to replace him then?
Is that a decent play in fantasy terms?
If I had to pick a Patriots-wide receiver, sure, Romeo Dobbs.
I just think they'll spread it around.
I think they'll probably try to run the ball a little bit more.
You'll see more Pop Douglas.
You'll see more Mack Hollins.
Kyle Williams again in the mix as well.
Hunter Henry. I just, it doesn't, I don't feel like Romeo Dobbs is an alpha the way that
AJ Brown is. So again, like, who do I have ranked the highest of the Patriots wide receivers?
It's Romeo Dobbs, but do I think he suddenly becomes A.J. Brown, I don't.
Matthew Barry. There it is. Matthew Barry. I got one more question.
No, there's more. No, no more questions. I want to hear Matthew Barry's take on Hallmark.
I got to plug him. Listen to full episodes of Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Barry on
Dassey and get personalized info.
It's not Odyssey, man.
It's a movie.
And get personalized info and tools for all things fantasy and sports betting at
FantasyLife.com.
Matthew, thank you for joining us.
Davishak, not another word from you.
I just want to hear this Hallmark question.
What's the Hallmark question?
All right, let's do it.
Let's do it.
Let me get my circular situation here.
All right, so we're saying that we're still iffy on the Ponzi scheme situation,
but we feel like Hallmark itself is a business that is predatory.
Okay?
So they obviously do greeting cards
and they've made enough money from greeting cards
to now have TV production
and Hallmark movies, right?
Ensuring the sadness of its customers
because of the nature of these movies
now getting you back to getting gifts
to then get greeting cards again.
And now it's a vicious cycle of the same
repetition in perpetuity. What do you think about that?
Sounds like the American dream. Sounds like they're very smart.
This is like they figured it out.
Husband. You know.
Dad. Not a swinger.
I'm just saying like give the people.
people what they want. Like, you know, if the movies didn't rate, it wouldn't all work, you know?
Like at some point, I think you're, I think you are angry at the American people that fall
for these movies that fall into this cycle. I don't think you're mad at Hallmark. Hallmark's just
exploiting something in the market. They're not doing anything wrong. They're just, you know,
like if they weren't doing it, somebody else would. Spoken like a drug dealer.
It's like, it's like when I'm bad at fantasy, but I check fantasy life thinking that I'm going to be
better and then I'm still bad. And then all of a sudden the next year, I'm like,
I'm going to win the championship. I got Matthew Barry on my side. And then all of a sudden I ruin it.
Yeah. See, it's some, it's some, I'm,
At some point, it's your fault.
There's only so much that we can do to lead you to water here as well.
I'm pretty sure that Hallmark doesn't pay for production on that stuff.
I'm assuming it's a licensing deal, but maybe I'm not.
I haven't looked at their 10Ks.
But yeah, no, I mean, like, you know, God bless them.
Last question, Judarian Price.
Oh, God, no, no, no questions.
Matthew Barry.
Thank you, Matthew.
Matthew Barry.
We'll see you next week, guys.
Matthew Barry.
Bye, Matthew.
We got to pay them extra now.
because you guys can't shut up about your fantasy teams.
He's the fantasy guru.
I get it.
We're asking them fantasy questions.
He's got a website.
You can go there and get all the information you need.
I use it.
Tony,
you know that moment at a party or a tailgate
where everything just sort of clicks.
I know it well.
It's usually when I show up.
Everybody goes crazy.
Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it.
But it's because Tony usually walks in with Quervo.
I'm walking like this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Quervo is a thing that turns hanging.
out into this is the night.
It has that effect on people. It does.
You usually take the credit for it, but again,
it's the Cuervo effect. It's like that moment in a big game
where everyone in the crowd just starts standing up,
hooting and hollering. Keep it quervo.
Keep it quervo, baby.
Dan Levitar. Hey, Damacek. You know about that Jadaicus?
Dave Demichick. No, I don't.
Okay. I figured.
This is the Danlevatar show.
We have a question for the rooms. Directed, though.
primarily at Tony.
I'm with you, man.
And in fact, a little spoiler alert, Tony and I will continue this conversation on
Football America coming up in just a few minutes here, be on the lookout, wherever you're
fine, your podcast and on YouTube.
If the Jags win this game, the entire world will be in on the Jacksonville as a Super Bowl
contender conversation.
So let's get in on it right now.
Do you think they really can win?
Matthew says he wouldn't be surprised.
I'm outright picking the Jags to win that game.
How say you guys?
I'm also picking them to win.
I think that they have a better team that kind of is more focused with the direction of what they want to do.
I think offensively, the Broncos are still in a bit of flux trying to get their offensive play calling figured out.
As Bo Nicks his ankle, 100% healthy, we don't really know.
Where's Jalen Wattle?
He was on a milk carton.
Like, there's a lot of questions that I have about the Broncos that I don't have about the Jags.
And play calling, better.
Quarterback, better.
Weapons, I'd probably say better on the Jags side.
like everything is pointing towards Jacksonville.
I need a pallet.
Let me put my Dan face on here.
I don't want to look at the angry Dan.
I need a damage shake.
I need a damageic pallet cleanser.
I just need to not hear him talk for five minutes.
And so we're going to do something completely different.
I am enamored by this new motorsport that I discovered this week.
Oh, yeah.
It's these cars.
And if you're not watching, it's a pickup truck with a flatbed
behind it, it's dragging it.
And then every other car on the circuit is trying to park on the flatbed.
And you say, oh, that's easy.
Oh, it's not.
Because they keep falling off because once the thing turns the curve, it kind of jerks
the flatbed a bit.
And if you're not parked properly, you will fly off.
And so while they're all trying to park on the flatbed, they're also crashing into
one another because everyone's trying to hate.
No one wants the other guy to win.
So you got to go there and kind of.
knock into him.
Stay up.
I don't know how long the video is.
It's one of those videos that Dan would definitely be upset
that we played it because it's so long.
But I was enamored.
I watched the whole thing.
I'm like, man.
And Tony, you asked the relevant question.
I mean, how do we do this?
How do we do this?
Like, how can we physically get in those cars?
I'll sign away, whatever.
I've got to sign away.
I've jumped out of a plane.
I've done all these crazy things.
Let me get on this thing so we can get on the bat of that truck
and figure out how to do it.
It's amazing.
There's,
There's this car right here that literally loses control, tumbles end over, end over end like a movie.
And I'm like, this guy must be all messed up.
Nope, he comes out and he's riling up the crowd.
Let's go.
Let's go.
I'm like, oh, man, you got a concussion.
He's like, that doesn't matter what I've got.
We've got a sport that America will love.
Uniquely American sport here, I mean, like, you can't take this to the European side of the world and be like, hey, guys, this is what we got going on?
They're like, what is a pickup truck?
They got no idea.
The European mind can't fathom.
No way.
The athleticism and the and the just creativity of the American mind.
This guy went with a Sion TC, right?
Or what is that Sion?
A sion something?
One of them boxy-ass Sions.
But then another guy gets on behind.
So who wins?
Do they both win?
I think you get second place, right?
What?
I missed this part.
I thought I had watched the whole thing.
I didn't know that you could finish second by jumping on there.
Yeah, man.
Now here, see the other guy trying to nudge him off, but he's on there.
He's locked.
This is an amazing sport.
What's it called?
King of the mind?
What's it say?
King of the something.
King of the Hill, there you go.
Makes more sense.
As on brand as it's been for me to bring up Hallmark movies and being excited about a new cat.
I don't think there's anything more on brand that I will tell you than the fact that as a high schooler I really wanted one of those boxy sion cars.
I also wanted the Honda element and I ended up with a kiosol.
Which is another boxy car.
Let me guess what drew you to the kiosol.
It was the hamster.
commercial. Of course it was the hamster commercials.
Obviously it was the hamster commercials.
What kind of person do you think I am?
It was also the safety rating.
My parents really were very excited about the safety rating.
So to the younger listeners who don't know this,
you know what the key of soul looks like.
When it first was introduced, their ad campaign
were these human-sized hamsters.
Hip-hop hamsters.
They were hoodies and they were dancing the, who's the black sheep?
Where's the black?
That was the song they were doing.
I believe in the commercial
and then they were in the car
like bopping their heads and shit.
Cool as hell.
Young Germans.
Those hamsters were awesome.
Young Jeremy was like one of those.
I was like, that is bizarre.
I want one.
That's a good new sport, I mean.
But there's another new sport
that's sweeping football America
and a all of America.
It's called Mr. Lister.
Let's get it on.
TNT style,
Paschae,
the Tony.
I am going to give you a list.
You guys name one name on that list, one at a time until one of you runs out.
Here we go.
Let's get it on the first category today.
SEC guys who won the Heisman Trophy.
Cache, you start us off.
Tim Tebow.
Good one.
Tim Tebow is correct.
Herschel Walker.
A little bit of a cheat code here.
Johnny Mansell.
A&M wasn't the SEC at the time.
Was it?
I don't believe it was.
I don't believe it was.
Does that count?
Yeah.
That he wanted in the SEC school?
That he wanted in the Big 12?
Yeah.
Does that count, Dave?
Heisman, though.
I'm pretty sure that if we're talking,
that that is, that A&M was in the SEC.
Yeah, because they played Bama.
No, you're right.
I think they'd already moved by then.
Okay.
All right.
So I was, you know, I was just playing around with some fun then.
Just to create some controversy.
Oh, is that what it was?
Controversy.
Okay.
I'm going to go with...
Hmm.
I'm going to go with is the classic stall.
Mark Ingram.
I'd like you to go Mark Ingram, too, but okay.
Hmm.
Now you got me thinking.
Whom is a stall as well.
Who is the ultimate stall?
Peyton Manning.
Oh, yeah.
What's that?
Tony, your chance to steal here.
We didn't get the thing.
Payton.
No, it did not win a...
The whole documentary about it.
About how he didn't, yeah.
All right, let's think.
I'm going to go with everybody knows.
Bo Jackson.
Nice.
The horns are going crazy on this.
Bo Jackson is correct.
And Tony claims that category.
I can't believe, Tashay.
You couldn't summon the names Cam Newton or Joe Burrow.
I could have.
I just went to Peyton,
first because I thought he won.
Yeah, I know. But your claim,
I don't know anything that happened before 2003.
You should at least know everything
that has happened since 2003.
Yeah, and I do know it. And you've,
your bullying worked because I was feeling some shame.
And I was like, let me go in the Wayback Machine. He just did
Herschel Walker. Let me go to Peyton Manning. And then I
look like an idiot. I look like an idiot.
I look like an idiot.
Your reward is a showdown.
Mr. Lister, in fact,
I will allow you to bring in
the vanquished tachet, Tony and
Tashe, the mean, Mr. Lister, it's a movie category.
Movies of Tommy Lee Jones.
What was the category?
Movies of Tommy Lee Jones.
Got it.
The fugitive.
Good start.
I'm going to go men in black.
Men in black, too.
Well done.
I mean, low-hanging fruit.
That's the way you do.
Hmm.
Tachet?
Was he in space cowboys?
U.S. Marshals.
That's all I got for you, brother.
That's all I'm pretty sure that's all I got.
Space Cowboys is the Yon.
I don't know why. I saw that in theaters when I was like six years old.
Bryce, the two of you.
I mean, Tommy Lee Jones.
Think about him for a second.
There's some obvious ones.
I'm ready whenever they're ready.
This is an outreach.
The sex tape with Pam Anderson.
You out class.
Batman forever.
Yes, of course.
He didn't have anything.
He might have been, at least was a nominated for an Academy Award for this, for another one.
Batman forever?
Maybe.
No, no, no.
He might not have been nominated.
Come to think of him.
Harvey Denton.
He was, by the way, he was an atrocity as TwoFace.
Well, he was, you know, originally, Harvey Dent in the original 1989 Batman, Billy D. Williams.
Tim, Tim, Tim Burton, Cass, Billy D. Williams.
And he was great as Harvey.
death. And he was supposed to be
Two-Face eventually, and then
Joel Schumacher comes in, and he's like,
I know Hollywood. Let me get rid
of Landau-Cowlerzian
and go get old-ass Tommy Lee Jones
who overacted his ass off on that movie.
No country for old man. Forgot that
That's the one I was looking for. Good for you.
Restoring some dignity to the proceedings.
Tony, back to you, I mean.
That lady's, well, no, it's over. Because I already said
Batman forever and they hadn't had one.
So I already won.
You decided to do.
jump in with Batman. No.
They can't have unlimited.
Yeah, no, we had, yeah, we were right on the tip of my tongue, Batman forever.
They really stole that one from me.
He's over there like looking it up on Wikipedia.
Are you kidding me? Come on, that's right off the dome.
Lonesome dome.
The hero of this movie, the hero of this movie was Jeff Bridges.
That's a little clue.
He was the bad guy.
Jeff Bridges?
No, Jeff Bridges is the hero.
Tommy Lee Jones is the bad guy.
guy.
Tommy.
Blown away.
Look at Roy.
See, Roy is the wild card of this, of Mr. Lister.
Sometimes you think there's a category that he's going to run the table on.
He can't come up with one.
Then other times, he jumps in with stuff like blown away.
Well done.
Do I jump in or not?
Double jeopardy.
They fucking took mine.
With Ashley Judd.
Remember Ashley Judd?
Remember Ashley Judd killed her husband?
And then, like, they can't charge her twice, so she gets a kid.
her husband again? How about Under Siege?
Oh yeah, that's a good one.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Mr. Lister in all its glory.
Wow. Good, Anya.
That's a good. Look at how that
all wrapped up at the end, those horns,
everything. Way to go.
Guys, we've almost come to
the end of the journey.
JFK.
It's over.
Everybody was in JFK.
Clay Shaw, Clay Bertrand.
We never got
the fugitive was the first thing I made.
and we never got to Dave Damashik's great conundrum.
But I'll tell you what we'll do.
We'll do it right before we do the club.
Ooh.
That's called a tease, ladies and gentlemen.
Tees in it.
Coming up right on YouTube.
