It's one of my favorite times.
There's that point in every summer where I start convincing myself,
I'm going to be normal about football this year, not as emotional,
not lose myself completely in it.
And then the game start.
The sprinklers, the smell of grass, the roar of the crowd,
the toasting of Miller Light.
Ah, that right there, my friends, that's my favorite part about all of this,
because making football time is great.
Making football time a Miller time.
That's special.
Some of my favorite weekends are built around football.
getting everybody together, putting the college games on on Saturday,
come back for the NFL on Sunday,
order way too much food,
and crack open Miller Lights for me and my friends.
That's a perfect weekend for me.
And Miller Light is a beer I reach for every time
because it's crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink,
especially when football starts.
When it's still somehow down here, 90 degrees of Miami,
it's a true American Pilsner that cools a body down
the original light beer since 1975
and just 96 calories and 3.2 carbs.
Legendary game days,
start with a Miller Light.
Make Game Day legendary.
Go to Miller Lite.com slash Dan to find delivery options near you,
or you can pick up some Miller Lite pretty much anywhere they sell beer.
Game time is Miller time.
Celebrate responsibly.
Miller Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 96 calories and 3.2 carbs per 12 ounces.
Zaz, give me some assistance here because I'm not great with boundaries.
Yesterday, Tony was talking about how sad college football this weekend.
And yesterday, Mike Ryan starts texting about Amir, Sears,
and won't shut up about this high school kid here locally.
And then today greets me with the hot breath of,
I need the studio for 12 hours today.
And I'm like, I can't, what are you talking about?
He's like, I need to do Kane's Insight from here.
And he brings me this guy, D. Money, who's already here for something that's hours from now.
And I don't, I can't handle the way Mike Ryan is about Kane's Insight.
And his shirt is tucked in.
And the hurricane season starting.
And Tony was saying that the college.
football season was sad this weekend. It was about Bill Belichick 15 to 10,
tricking a college kid into jumping off sides. The old veteran, the old legend tricked
some kid. It felt, you know, like abuse. It felt abusive him using his legendary status to do that
to some kid from TCU. Miami's already got the toughest strength of schedule in the nation.
Their opponents went three and out. I love the idea of Belichick winning six Super Bowls.
Can't do it anymore. Let's go trick college kids.
So the previous great Miami player that everyone was talking about.
Malaki.
I thought that that's who we were going to be excited about,
but Mike is now scouting Columbus,
wandering around their wait room,
doing weird things around high school kids
when I don't like the phrasing of that,
but that's what's happening.
His hyperventilation around the best player in the country,
possibly playing both ways for the hurricanes next season
and starting immediately as a true freshman.
But when are we going to get a quarterback to play both ways?
That's the question.
That's not the question.
No one's asking that question.
It's being asked.
Look, when it comes to Amir's here, I'm super excited.
I've seen all the highlights.
I think he's going to play right away, but I'm not the expert.
Luckily, D. Money is here six hours before he's supposed to be.
Crunted film.
But what do you mean supposed to be?
What are you guys doing?
You asked me for the studio for 12 hours today, and I said because I'm not good at boundaries.
You have to leave. That's a pretty requisite.
Oddly enough.
You cannot be anywhere near this.
Yeah, it's quite a situation that we've found ourselves in, in regards.
to you. Thank you for the keys. Please show yourself out. What do you mean in regards to me? What's
the problem with me? People don't like you. Yeah, they don't like you. So for the first year,
the hurricane special marathon that we do to kick off every Miami hurricane season, we've done this now
three straight years. For the first time ever, it's going to be simulcast here, not just on
official Keynes Insights YouTube, but YouTube.com slash at lebitard show. I mean, we've got this studio space
free at charge. Thank you very much, Dan.
When?
Today, one to six p.m.
Yeah, after the show, a little bit of a break as we changed crews and we hit the ground running.
Five straight hours, no breaks. Incredible guest, and you cannot be one of them.
I'm not invited. It's a very awkward situation.
I didn't know this. Mike brought it up on Zaslo's show 2.0 yesterday. I was very taking it back.
I love you, Dan. You've been so great to me, so gracious with the studio space.
but I got to take care of my Kane's Inside fan base.
If you're on this show...
They hate you.
Why do they hate me?
It's not because they ain't you.
Mike, he doesn't know why they hate them.
No, he knows exactly why they hate them.
I don't know why they hate it.
Oh, you haven't been told to your face by Keynes fans walking to the stadium over the, the illustrious three decades you've covered this program why they hate you?
You know, you've had the wanted posters.
You know exactly why they hate you.
I feel like I.
should be on to talk about how it is that they've let go of Cam Vaughn and four players since spring
practice ended.
Cam Vaughn knows what he did.
There he is.
He knows what he did?
It's time to put on a suit and roll out the carpet.
Break up the tube and gab this time.
Half's mistakes and best friend.
We need to get some better music.
What are you talking about?
Come on.
This is perfect.
music because you hear it, everybody knows what it means.
Greg Cody is not with us today. He's deep into the drink package on a cruise to Key West
and Bimini, which you know, you don't need a boat to get there. He just wants something that floats
that doesn't put him by in the wheel so he can drink all day. He is not with us this week.
How many drinks do you need to consume in the day for the drink package to feel like, okay,
I got my money. Thirteen, but who's counting? He absolutely does there already. He does it
correctly. Erlene has betrayed him. His wife has betrayed him. We now have a photo because a lot of people
didn't believe us when we said that he sleeps crisscross applesauce and his wife has betrayed him by
taking a photo. I've never heard of anyone sleeping this way, looking this way, and this is just a
straight betrayal from his wife. He did not. He did not want us. He didn't, he yelled at his
and said you are not to run this and we told him it's a punishment for not being here during suey's week and we got three suey's today one of them is best back in my day but he only did three of them like he said he was going to do him every month and he's only done three of them so we're selecting from among three and it reminds me of the time when i was a child when my dog adashin when i was a kid won or finished in second place longest ears contest in the neighborhood uh second to a rabbit and there were only two
contestants. Yep, that's a problem.
Greg Cody has only three back
in my days. Meanwhile, before
we get to the Suey's,
D-Money is here. Cain's
Insight is going to take you on our
YouTube channel and, of course, on Cain's Insight.
They're going to take you on a wild ride for five
straight hours, no commercials, great guests,
get you ready for the University of Miami football
season, but I don't understand why
D-Money is already here. It's 9 o'clock
in the morning. You guys aren't starting
until 1 o'clock, and that guy,
I saw him when I walked past him, and his
teeth are gleaming like they're sparkling because he is just ready for one o'clock. I think he's here
exactly for this. The hopes that he could get you to notice him and his teeth. How could I not notice him?
He came in and he was glowing because the hurricane season is about to start and it seems like everyone
has forgotten, every question that they used to have about Mario Cristobald. And this ship is
sailing. We're going to help you out. We're going to help you out. We're going to call them out as to why you're
not invited to Hurricane 2026. That right there. That's an example. That right there. This is a
pep rally. This is all positivity. We are in the tank for the Cains. This is made for Cains fans. And Dan,
you are not made for Cain's fans. You're not made for Cain's fans. You're made for the naysayers.
Okay. I'm not saying nay to this hurricane season. I'm saying... Look at him out there. He's glowing.
I mean, he looks like television. He really does. He's already gotten into the snacks. He'll fit right in
around here. He knows the smile when the camera cuts to him. So that's at one o'clock and they're
going to go five straight hours and they're going to get you ready for college football.
He's here also in case you say the name of Mir Sears. He will just like jettison straight into
the studio. Yeah. For those of you who do not know, Columbus has a player who plays both ways,
missed the third quarter. But not quarterback. It doesn't play quarterback. Not yet. Anyway,
missed the third quarter, most of the third quarter with cramps while they're playing what is
supposed to be, you know, one of the best teams in the country. The number one ranked team in the
country, those things can be, you know, wrong in high school. But still, he had three interceptions
and two touchdown catches, and he plays both ways. And I can't believe we're talking about
anyone other than Milwaukee. But we are already because Mario Cristobal has refurbished everything
about the program and it is suddenly stable and people aren't asking questions about the program.
This is what's interesting to mean. The Miami Heat obviously have earned, I would assume,
the benefit of the doubt. And the Miami Heat have some issues with the way the media
continues to look for holes on their team when they believe they got everybody they wanted
except for LeBron James. That's obviously a giant except. But,
But the part I wanted to get into with you guys because it ended up with me arguing and questioning,
and I'm assuming that I'm going to be on the side of the audience on this one,
when Pat Riley came on South Beach sessions and said he wanted to be, that they still needed a playmaker,
he was doing that because he wanted LeBron to hear it.
Of course.
But they are saying to me, and I'm disagreeing with this, but they're saying to me,
you're sleeping on Pella Larson.
And I'm like, hold on a second.
you can't be serious that you think that Pella Larson is going to be your end of game guy.
Like Wiggins might be a better answer if you were to tell me that,
but they are serious and they're telling me you're underestimating
and you're getting forgetful about what Spoh might be able to do with Janus.
That you're forgetful.
So I find it interesting that there are no questions about Christobal,
but there are questions still about this heat team
because they think they're playing for a championship this year.
I think it's obviously a great point about Janus because every time Spoh has gotten his hands on a superstar player,
he did actually get them to another level, which includes LeBron.
Like, LeBron became a much better player, his second year here in Miami than he was the previous eight years of his career.
Obviously, Jimmy was a better player once he got here as well.
So I think that's an interesting point.
I have very high hopes for Pella Larson.
I've liked him anyway, but there aren't a whole lot of experience.
examples of a player in Pelell Larson's spot, undrafted, you know, at best a role player, his first
few years in the league. And now the heater telling us, hey, you're underestimating this guy as far as
a guy who's going to take a massive leap. Not a ton of examples. It's not just that guy,
though. It's the combination. It's your underestimating, Dan, what Spoe can do with Janis? When I'm
asking the questions about Pella, the response is your underestimates.
both Wiggins, you're underestimating Wiggins and you're
underestimating what Spoh can create around the player of this caliber who's going to distort
all the defenses. I brought that up about Wiggins last week. I feel like I kind of got laughed
at it, right? Where like Wiggins kind of needs to be the guy at the end of game so can get you a shot.
Well, but when they're saying Pella Larson's going to be the guy, I believe most of the people
listening to this are like, get out of here. Like stop it. If you're a heat fan, you've watched enough
of Andrew Wiggins, you're probably more attracted to the unknown.
of Pella Larson doing that at the end of games and what you can kind of expect with Wiggins.
That has a ceiling.
I do fear that what I am doing here is that I'm doing this to Pella because he's white.
I feel like I'm underestimating the things.
I watched a lot of heat games last year.
And he was really good in those heat games.
He's already developed into a useful player.
And he will get better.
And I think that this is just a subconscious or conscious bias that I have where I'm saying it can't be Pella Larson at the end of games.
while I'm being told, hey, Chris Middleton wasn't exactly a playmaker.
That's true.
He was a clutch shot maker, but he was not exactly a playmaker.
Chris Middleton had a brilliant career, made it to the national team, was a huge part of a title-winning team.
So I think that those are lofty comparisons, but I get them.
He has a great nickname, Pella Larson, but it's a little too wordy.
Swedish bounce mafia.
Can I give you a potential nickname for Clay Thompson?
How do you feel about Clay Allen?
How does he feel about Clay Allen?
you're talking about one of the greatest two guards in the history of the game.
The player doesn't get to decide.
Oh, he's got his opinions when it comes to anything Ray Allen.
He's been pretty vocal on that, and he doesn't like the comparisons.
He cannot like the comparisons, but the comparisons are what everybody is doing with him.
This used to be one of the best two-way players in the game.
Draymond Green is not wrong, although I do not know why he would say this,
that he is not the player that he was 10 years ago.
That goes without saying.
He's also not been the same since his injury.
That's not up for dispute.
Since getting hurt, he cannot play the same way on both sides of the ball.
But there is no disputing that when he gets in this uniform, this will be, and only because
Ray Allen has been here, it'll be the second best shooter, the Miami Heat have ever had in a
uniform.
And only the second best because Ray Allen played here.
And you saw what it is that Ray Allen did.
and I'm comparing what I believe Clay Allen,
what I believe Clay Thompson will be in this stage.
I can't just insert him here after what I saw last year
and assume that he's going to be able to recreate Ray Allen
because Ray Allen, while the same age,
wasn't coming off of this kind of injury.
Like Clay Thompson has not been the same player since he was hurt in the finals.
Shot 38% from three last year on a bad team where defenders
aren't exactly sagging off of him to go double someone else in a Maverick's uniform.
That's going to happen this year in Miami.
I'd have to assume he shoot.
And 38% by the way is good.
And I would have to assume he's going to be better than that now.
I can't assume anything there with age, given what I saw last year specifically from Clay Thompson.
He was not good last year.
38% from three is fine. He was not a good basketball player for them last year.
He wasn't the same type of defensive player, certainly, but that team also wasn't what you
anticipated them being. Like, they weren't a competitive team. And when he signed in Dallas,
the anticipation was playing with Luca and Kyrie and playing off of those offensive skill sets.
Now he gets to play off of Jan Asante Takumpo. And look, the last three years that he was in
Golden State before going to Dallas, he shot 40% from three. And that's coming off of two misseason.
He had the knee and then the Achilles.
And even then, the last four years, he's played no fewer than 69 games in a season.
Like, the guy's been relatively healthy.
He played 72 and 77 before last year playing 69.
And that's in a year where they were just tanking at the end if you're Dallas.
Can he be better defensively than Duncan Robinson was those years on, on, you know, championship
contending heat teams?
Because I think he would be.
I'm telling you that what I'm most grateful for in this conversation, I don't know when exactly it happened.
I don't know how exactly it happened.
I mean, Alan Iverson was a total icon in that league
shooting 40% from the field almost his entire career.
I just simply loved that the analysis of all of these guys
comes now with.
This is what the percentage was from three
because everyone is now doing some math with their sports.
That is not, I would say that as recently as five or six years ago,
that was not a mainstream thing,
that even shooting percentage from three
he might as well have been considered an advanced analytic five or six years ago.
And now it's just baked into it the way that they're playing the game
where you're looking at what guys like Tim Hardaway do from three,
and all you need is a percentage to know what it is that they are from there.
Clay has a lot of mitigating factors explaining why he's dipped,
but I also think part of it is he doesn't have the same body.
He does, since he injury.
Should it get it back here, wouldn't you assume?
No.
No?
No. I don't assume at 37.
I don't assume that somebody can simply resuscitate that,
especially since when people talk about the habits of Clay Thompson,
they're not the habits of Ray Allen.
That's my point.
We're not talking about recreating something
when it comes to Clay's approach to conditioning and basketball.
I'm sure he has his feelings there,
but he has never been in the same world as Ray Allen.
Few athletes are when it comes to taking care of their body and cardio.
We mentioned it before last week that I'm pretty sure Dwayne Wade,
lost years of his career chasing Ray Allen around on screens. And it was a huge part of him getting
open. And Clay, even though Ray wasn't the greatest on ball defender either, Clay losing those
physical attributes probably is one of the reasons why he's dipped in form, no doubt.

Dan Lebatar!
Let's throw to my boy Jeremy Tashé, who's sideline right now.
cash money.
What's it got for me?
Jeremy Tache.
Thanks, Jacks.
This is the Dan Levitar show.
This is Suey Week.
It's always a great deal of fun to sort of just remember a whole bunch of things that we had forgotten about over the course of the year.
So one of the big categories every year is Best Revelations.
So let's see what we have.
It's loaded.
It's always loaded.
Let's see who surprised us most with something they said.
And now the Sui nominees,
for Best Revelation.
Charles Barkley reveals what happened with his
Sergei Bobrovsky clip.
First of all,
let me explain.
Go on.
When you're going to do a hit on television,
you get to the game early,
and I'm on spring break at that time.
So I was already in the Sergei vodka
before I got to a Bobrowski.
Nice.
You know, I had already started drinking before the game, Dan.
So I was thinking Bovroski and Babbocki.
That's exactly right.
I was already into vodka already.
I'm not going to go to a hockey game and not dream, Dan.
Chris Cody puts down grocery store items anywhere he wants.
If I have like a can of cream corn and I get text for my wife, hey, we got the cream corn.
You don't need it.
That thing's going back on whatever aisle I'm at.
Good point.
Good point.
If it can't be ruined, wait a minute.
If it can't be ruined, it can go anywhere.
Wherever I'm at in the store, it's going from the cart right to the nearest shelf.
So you're putting a can of cream corn next to the toilet paper and paper towels.
Zagak.
That ain't right.
Dan Lebitard, restaurant revelation.
Mike sure was actually the one who showed me this the other day.
I was unaware until a month ago that you put your credit card in the bill at the top to tell the waiter that that's where you put the credit card.
What do you think?
A little flap was there.
What do you think that's not?
That little pocket was there for.
Listen, listen, there are a thousand things you guys would be surprised that I don't know about very simple table manners.
John Fanta, Fireball revelation.
The night I had the most fun, like I drank a whole bottle of fireball the night they beat the Steelers and the wild card COVID game.
That's aggressive.
Because it was just like watching Rathlisberger on the bench crying was just, oh, it was just an amazing experience as a Browns fan.
Dave Damashek will eat a slice of pizza from a stranger's table on Mystery Crete.
If the table nearby leaves a half-eaten pizza, I'll get up and take a piece of that pizza to see how it is.
I watch my old man do it.
And I was, my mother reacted in such a way.
I was like, she must be right about that.
That is bad behavior.
But as I meditated on it and I matured, I realized he was right.
What did they do?
Spit on it?
Well, we're not going to eat the rest of this pizza.
Let's make sure nobody else can eat it either.
David Samson didn't get his son's foreskin in his divorce.
Did you keep the foreskin?
No.
Yeah, that's a thing too.
That's a thing.
Throw that in the garbage.
You keep it.
That has to get dry after a while, right?
Well, so does the umbilical cord.
Do you know where your foreskin is then?
100%.
I did not get it in the divorce.
Send us a photo.
So she's got it?
Is it in a safety deposit box?
It's in the time capsule underneath Marlon's part.
David Samson on being generous for personal gain.
I've paid for something for a person in front of.
of me online when I thought that there was a possibility of a multi-minute delay.
Right.
And I didn't find the juice worth the squeeze for whatever it was.
I've done it at restaurants.
I've done it at stores.
Really?
When someone is out buying, if I've got a huge thing and I'm in a rush.
So if I've been instructed by my wife to bring back eggs and to bring back something that
we forgot for the kids and I had to go grocery shopping with the list.
And then there's someone in front of me who's fumbling and bumbling.
And I've got a kid who needs to eat.
that was an example of the time that I would always do that, where I would buy the groceries,
hey, I'll take care of that, no problem.
And then it just adds to mine.
They take their groceries and they get to leave.
Perfect.
And did they show appropriate gratitude?
Didn't care.
I don't do it for the gratitude.
I do it for the time savings.
But you want to thank you.
I don't need it.
Elle Duncan reveals who her favorite child is.
Damn you for making me choose.
It's like choosing between my children, which we can all do, by the way.
Anybody in there that has more than one kid, no.
Go ahead and do it.
Go ahead and do it.
And then my dad will go next.
Go ahead and do it.
It's my favorite is my son.
Wow.
Whoa.
Greg Cody, K-cup revelation.
The life hack is that you can use a K-cup more than once, okay?
You don't just fill up your cup and then throw away the K-cup.
I'm pretty sure they're one-serving.
You definitely do that.
That is historically cheap.
No.
No.
That is new levels of cheapness.
That's a white team.
If you use the second, if you pour it in a glass cup, you see what I mean.
Naturally, the first use of the K-cup is the stronger one.
But if you don't mind a mild coffee, you get double the pleasure out of a cake cup.
It's amazing.
That's trash.
That's trash dog.
Greg Cody reveals what turns him on.
Greg Cody's algorithm is filled with lions.
Yeah, lion in the wild man.
If it's chasing down an antelope and jumping on an antelope and bringing down an animal twice its size
and killing it with a bite to the neck in a matter of seconds,
Turn on.
Who?
Everyone knows a mile.
What?
Turn on?
Turn on?
Turn on.
Those make me sad.
It's the wild.
Things happen in the wild.
Don't admit that.
You said it's a turn on?
So your algorithm is...
I don't mean sexually.
I mean, where are you...
What are the turn-ons do we have?
Go ahead.
Define turn-on.
Turn-on.
Go ahead.
It excites me.
What do you feel like does blood pump through your body?
Yeah.
It's exciting.
It fires you up, Greg.
That's what you should have said.
It fires me up.
It's exciting to see the power and majesty of the king of the jungle in action.
Jeremy Tashay loves diarrhea.
Oh, I love diarrhea.
There will be times where all purposefully when I'm feeling like bloated for the span of several days,
I will order a meal knowing that it's going to flush me out because I just want to feel better about myself.
As someone who is very insecure about my body, it feels really good when I don't feel bloated.
And so there are times where I will purposefully go out of my way to.
get a meal that I know will give me diarrhea.
Jessica Smatana, CD cleaning revelation on Mystery Creek.
And you flush it down the toilet.
Do you guys do that when your CDs were scratched?
No.
No, what?
What kind of super white toilets do you have?
You would, like, not flush it down all the way, but like, there was like a thing
me and my sister would do.
You like put the CD in the toilet and flush it and it was supposed to like wash the
CD.
Zaslow reveals his first video game.
I did have something before the original intent.
No, you didn't.
Yeah.
Oh, you're older than me.
You know about that.
Texas Instrument. Oh shit.
The TI? The TI? No, not
the calculator. You were playing with calculators?
No. Texas Instrument
Ti-I-99. I had that.
That was it. That's a calculator.
It's not a calculator. It had a full keyboard.
You can't play a game on that? Those are the controllers
and you have the game console right there
on the right where you stuck it in.
I'm just learning about this.
It had a keyboard. I truly don't
understand what I'm looking at.
That was it for the video audience. There it is.
It looks like a polygraph machine.
Dave Damashek reveals he's a vigorous lovemaker.
You may look at me and be surprised to hear this.
I happen to be a vigorous lovemaker, so that would never happen to me.
Chris Cody sweeping off the table revelation.
I've never used Make Love, but I did a few weeks ago try the thing where you sweep off everything from a table and start that way.
What?
Yeah, it went well.
It was a little messy afterwards.
Really?
I had to pick up everything afterwards, but I took it for a walk and it was nice.
It makes it feel fresh.
It's like, oh, it feels dangerous a little bit.
Dangerous.
I'm stunned by this.
Swiped everything off.
I was like, come here, honey.
And I just swiped everything off the table.
And we went in the bedroom, but I still was just like, before this.
Wait a minute.
It's just like a little foreplay.
Instead of foreplay, I was just like, our whole kitchen table, everything's gone.
But it's not, wait a minute.
I didn't imagine you doing this.
I didn't want to imagine you doing this.
I'm now imagine you eating a clam pizza.
while doing it, but that's not the way to do it.
Greg Cody, sweating revelation.
I'm the kind of guy who doesn't sweat.
That's an odd statement.
To be honest, I mean, I just don't sweat.
That's not possible, Greg.
That's how little he's active that he thinks he doesn't sweat.
Did you give it up?
I did give up sweating.
That's nice.
Yeah, just like I gave up cigars.
And 40 later.
Right.
Zaslo bombarded his neighbor's house to do his radio show.
If my neighbor shows up on my house looking for internet, I'm like,
This is the worst neighbor ever.
Really?
I better be really close with you.
If you're showing up at my house needing internet.
I've done a radio show.
My internet went out.
I did a radio show at my neighbor's house.
That's crazy.
That's all right.
That neighbor hates you.
No, he's my friend.
They definitely hate you.
How long was your radio show for?
Three hours.
So you were three hours in your neighbor's house just screaming?
Yeah, I'm loud.
I'm loud.
Yeah.
And was this like the afternoon one?
Like, what time was it show up?
Midday.
10-8-2 p.
Midday.
Were they there?
No.
Wait.
Hold on.
You went to your neighbor's house and you were alone
and your neighbor's house just screaming?
Yeah, that's crazy.
In their bedroom, too.
What?
Why?
Because that was where the better connection was for the internet.
Zaslow Costco revelation.
I've never been to Costco.
What?
Are you kidding?
What?
I've never stepped foot to Costco.
Do you know how wonderful they are?
BJ's got?
No, I just told you I never been.
Well, okay, but have you heard reputationalally
how wonderful the warehouse savings are at Costco?
I don't know.
Most people like Costco, right?
Most people aren't going to say anything bad about excess.
It's almost impossible not to like us.
You do look like a Sam's Club guy.
You'll have the best time ever.
Never been.
Zaslo, man of the house revelation.
We have a thing in the Zaslo Mansion that if you want to be man of the house,
step up, man.
You want to challenge.
You can challenge.
And my son for the first time decided, all right, I'm going to challenge.
Like the Black Panther ceremony?
You know what?
Really similar to Black Panther.
Anybody want to step up and challenge?
I'm king of this house.
Is this your king?
Step up, all right.
You can take me down.
That's it, you know.
Like Paine, 1, 2, 3, or just on the floor?
Take me down on the ground.
Yeah.
You got to tap out?
Essentially, yeah, but it hasn't happened yet, so we'll see.
Are outsiders welcome?
Like, if I wanted your house, could I just show up at your house and take you down?
No, no, you're not.
You don't then become in charge of my family.
You'd have to kill him.
So it's not like Black Panther.
So my son, sneak attack style.
My older one, he's 16.
He decides to challenge.
Let's just say it didn't go well for him.
All right.
And as a result, he could try again in six months.
Greg Cody, Uncle Buddy, revelation.
Right after we moved from Lawrence, Massachusetts,
we stayed with Uncle Buddy in South Miami for a few weeks.
Hold on a second.
I never knew that. Wait, hold on a second.
The memory from there is that my mother took a walk from the house in South Miami,
and there was a river right nearby.
And she looks down in the river over a little footbridge.
What hell is going on?
And she sees dozens of...
dead cats.
Dead cats?
And that was a memory,
an only memory of the Uncle Buddy weeks.
What happened to them?
I have no idea.
I didn't kill him.
But Uncle Buddy,
he would show up at the house
with a six-pack.
Then you could drink and drive.
Oh, yeah.
What?
Yeah, you could drink and drive.
It was like probably the mid-60s by that point,
maybe early 60s.
He looked this up.
And he would show up at the house
with a six-pack of a...
It's Uncle Buddy up to Miller.
He's been dead for years.
Oh, no.
The Zaslos haven't produced a girl in over a century.
The Zaslos have not produced a female in over 100 years.
That sounds...
That's true.
A hundred years?
Yeah, I have an aunt.
My aunt Blanche.
We don't make Blanches anymore.
104 years of age.
Well, no, she died a while ago, but she was born...
Feel good, Dave?
She was the last female Zazel.
It's been over...
So it's been like around 110 years.
Pablo Tore.
gum revelation. Are you still a human being who has never chewed gum? What? That was correct.
My origin story is that I was like at school one day, like running my hand underneath my desk
absentmindedly, you know? And what do you think I felt there, gentlemen? Is it gum? Is it gum?
It was it was already been chewed gum and I didn't know it. I'm just like fondling it.
And then I look underneath the desk and I'm horrified. I've got to be touching for the whole time.
To be very clear for legal reasons, the gum.
And that is a traumatic experience.
I'm not eating that.
Chris Cody, sister-in-law revelation.
There are times, you know, in marriage.
You're going through, you know, you're like, you know, it's, you know, this is a...
I don't like where this is headed.
I don't eat.
I do.
Where sometimes you're just like, if you're trying to keep things fresh, you just imagine it's the other person.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
What's the matter what you know?
I didn't hear that.
guys in the room outside.
Mark that down.
For the record, did everybody see as one of society's great impasse?
Did you see me try to get in the way?
Did you see me try to dive in front of that?
He refused.
Your wife clearly does not listen to the show.
You got no worries that this is getting back to her.
Let's not clip this if we can.
That was an incredible omission.
Greg, what did you make of all that?
A little bit unfortunate.
I wish he hadn't said that.
Well, in the context of this show,
you can always say I was just kidding.
Of course I was just kidding.
But will she believe you?
I was.
You can do your voting at lebitardaf.com.
Tony, you know that moment at a party or a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks?
I know it well.
It's usually when I show up.
Everybody goes crazy.
Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it.
But it's because Tony usually walks in with quarev.
Walking like this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Quervo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night.
It has that effect on people.
It does. You usually take the credit for it. But again, it's the quervo effect. It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts standing up, hooting and hollering. Keep it quervo.
Keep it quervo, baby.
Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know the same way you can skip an ad. I get it. I'm Siaia and I live in Ice Cove. I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today I'm still figuring.
It's figuring it out.
Somehow things usually get worse before they get better.
Apparently, that's how I roll.
So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride.
Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem.
Dan Levitar.
My algorithm on Instagram is dance all boobs.
Jonathan Sasselow.
It's a good algorithm.
This is the Dan Levitar show.
Please put it on the poll at Levitart show.
Will Heat fans like the nickname Clay Allen for Clay Thompson?
This is what Clay Thompson told ESPN West Palm about the Ray Allen comparisons, Mike,
so I don't know what it is that you think he's objecting to.
Quote, of course, I like those comparisons.
I love Ray Allen.
Are you kidding me?
Him and Reggie were the blueprint for my whole off-ball formula.
It gives me chills.
I'm even in the same sentences, Ray, because if you told me this, my rookie season,
I would have never believed you.
Ray has one of the greatest shots in history, and I still practice that back pedal drill he did in game
six of 2013.
I love those comparisons.
He's argued with fans online before about Clay comparisons and not doing it on a bad team
and being the highest score in the NBA finals.
Like, he's gone at people before for the Ray comparisons, never disrespecting Ray, but certainly
pounding his chest about his own bona fides.
How about this one, Zaz?
Dallas Mavs play-by-play guy Chuck Cooperstein says there's lots of talk in Miami about the
acquisitions of Clay and Tim Hardaway, but after watching some of the Euro qualifiers this weekend,
might want to keep an eye on where Pella Larson fits in all this, not sure on his shooting,
but all he does is draw fouls in a manner that rival how Luca and SGA or Gasp Dwayne Wade do it.
Yeah.
The most recent Clay Thompson comments on Ray Allen were, like, from six days ago,
he was asked about it because people dug up his interactions with fans before.
I think it was more in the context of this stage of his career because I think what Clay was doing before was, hey, look at both of us in our prime and who we were on winning teams where he looks at his own career right now.
He brought it up on his own when it was presented to him at the press conference originally.
And he said, like, I want to get in heat shape.
I think it'll be incredible for me.
We're so back, Dan.
That's what you're back.
We're so bad.
Are we talking about Pella Larson that way?
Tim Donovan's back, making sure, hey, let's clean this up a little bit.
Ben, we're back, baby. You're talking about Pella Larson that way. Come on, folks.
Speaking of back, you all know how good he is.
Where were you yesterday?
I was recovering. I was recovering from my first ever weekend in Daytona.
And also I'm on the air for 12 hours today. So a little maintenance day.
Dan, it was my first ever race at Daytona International Motor Speedway.
And we have a recap video to celebrate it.
We are back at the World Center of Racing.
Welcome to Daytona International Speedway.
We are going full throttle on a car around the most famous track in all of motorsports.
I cannot wait for the AC.
We're hopping in this Toyota Camry.
We're about to go real fast.
All right, you guys have a great time.
Wow.
This is legit, awesome.
I'm just talking about the air conditioning.
How's that breakfast burrito sitting?
All right, that was a great warm-up lap.
Remember that bicycle that you banged your shin up on in Talladega?
Redemption arc time.
And I'm ready to give it another go.
And on top of that, make this leaderboard.
So let's make the world's fastest margarita.
Oh, and my shins are okay.
Alright, we did it.
Redemption!
The view's great from the top.
And check out those shins.
Perfectly healthy.
Yeah!
I worked up a little bit of thirst.
So we head over to the Cuervo Bar and grab some of the world's fastest
margarita.
That margarita is fast.
Come on, bandana.
I won the bandana!
Now it's race week.
Oh, we're going to do it legit.
We're playing.
We're playing now.
We'll play to 12.
Yeah.
The mics brought it.
You knew the Miami folks pulled out.
Babb-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bb.
Day's going great so far.
It's almost green flag time.
We're going to get in there and watch some cars go fast.
Hopefully, as fast as this margarita.
Two number threes that mean a lot to me.
Wayne Wade and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
They both have statues.
This one's a little bit better.
The greatest NASCAR driver that ever lived.
Woo! Unmatched energy out here in the pits.
It's the pits at Daytona Motor Speedway.
Wow, it's huge.
Huge. Look at these Grand Sands. As far as the eye can see. That's one of like the most awe-inspiring things in sports.
Like the Grand Sands at Daytona Speedway, I've seen it a handful of times. It's not for a race.
It's a different energy right now. People have no idea how large this place is until they actually set foot.
Did you know? Did you know?
Did you know? Shake the camera. If you knew. No, you didn't know.
All right, we're here waiting for the driver intros.
Electric, especially at Daytona. It's a big pep rally, celebrate the Warriors.
that to go out there and risk life and limb on one of the most dangerous tracks in all the motors towards
you know over 20 joking crazy Toyota Christopher wow what a journey many are saying this was the
greatest coke zero sugar 400 they've ever seen and I happen to agree certainly the best one I've ever
been in person for Ryan Priest gets into the chase a dramatic finish a pretty clean race for
at Daytona Super Speedway up until the very end and all hell broke out.
And the chase field is set and I am exhausted.
But Cuervo, you were amazing yet again.
Thank you for delivering an unbelievable experience for my friends and I.
We'll be back next year.
I'm Heller High Water.
You didn't exactly cover the race.
That pre-story is nuts.
The race was fantastic.
NASCAR implemented a bunch of new rules because people got sick of these.
super speedway racing where people were just fuel saving. The super speedways are supposed to be
maniacal, crazy. Anything can happen. And for most of that race, up until three lives to go,
it was a really well-run race, lots of passing, but no big ones. And then all hell broke loose,
Dan. And Ryan Preeze came from the outside of the chase needing a win, a Hail Mary type of
situation to get into the chase over SVG Zaz. Who's SVG? Stan Van Gundy. He was right there with the chase,
standing. You weren't listening.
I'll send you up for a joke.
I mean, I just,
SVG.
Shane Van Ginsberg is the greatest road course driver,
maybe whoever lived.
He threw you an alley-oop there
so that we could put Stan Van Cooney in the car.
He was looking at his alga.
He didn't care at all.
He didn't care at all.
Don't worry about that.
Yeah, what was he looking at his alga?
Was he looking at his algo? Great fans.
Don't worry about all that.
He's looking at Nikki Glazer.
That's part of his algo.
So Ryan Preece,
has a photo finish at the very end to get in the chase,
and it was super dramatic.
He needed to win.
If he did not win, he flatly would not get into the chase.
SVG would have.
Ryan Priest, by a hair, beats out Daniel Swares.
Stan Van Gundy?
Ryan Priest has almost died at this track before.
Do we have photos of Ryan Priest's accident at Daytona?
The new cars don't flip like this.
He flipped 10 times in the air.
He's nicknamed the Rocket Man because he almost died at Daytona.
So it was an incredible redemption.
Needed a priest.
Elton John?
Not the, no, all right.
Zaz, help me, buddy.
But it was incredible.
And I want to thank Cuervo for sending me out there.
I can't wait to go back.
Definitely got to go to a Daytona 500.
The party was great.
And the grandsane's are an exceptional place to watch the race,
especially if the race is half as good.
Gearhead is presented by Cuervo for every lap.
Keep it fun.
Keep it, Cuervo.
Another day I'll tell you about how my friend,
college Mike almost got his ass kick because people believed he was Carson Hosebar and he signed
plenty of autographs. Please show yourself out.
