My favorite part of the football season is the confidence everybody has before it kickoff.
Zaslo already knows how the game is going to end.
Tony has studied every possible matchup and Chris Cody is convinced his fantasy team is unbeatable.
Then the game starts, everything immediately goes off the rails and suddenly nobody remembers making any of those predictions.
That's why a legendary game day starts with an ice cold Miller light.
Whether I'm at a tailgate, watching with friends, or settling in for a full Saturday of college football,
Miller Light is the beer I can depend on.
It's crisp, refreshing, and has a clean finish that hits perfectly during a hot South Florida game day.
Miller Light is the original light beer with great taste, and beer lovers have trusted it for more than 50 years.

This is the Dan Levator show with the Stucats podcast.
Even by his normal me maximum standards,
Greg Cody has been an uncommon kind of self-involved today.
He has not been listening to the last 90 minutes of the show.
This is the greatest example that I have of him not listening to the last 90 minutes of our show.
Go ahead and let's see if you can name five,
Sylvester Stallone movies.
Let's do this as a...
You know what?
I'll give you one.
I'll give you the Rocky franchise as one.
So name four Sylvester Stallone movies.
Go ahead.
Me?
Dan, you're playing Greg doesn't know.
Movies wrong.
You could ask him...
You're asking me?
Ask him to name three.
Five's way too many.
Like two.
That's one.
That's one.
If you like this segment...
Because he said, I'm going to take Rocky out.
Now name four instead of five.
Rocky two.
Rocky two.
He literally put him together.
That's great.
We welcome Jessica, and now we go to the bullpen, and we're going to go get somebody who actually listens to the show when she is on it.
I have a number of different things that I want to talk to her about.
Arch Manning has now apologized.
I wonder if anyone remembers that Peyton Manning's first controversy was at Tennessee in college because he mooned a trainer.
And Peyton Manning's initial controversy that ever happened to him, and he never had very many more.
more after that was he mooned a female trainer in the Tennessee locker room.
Now, Arch Manning has apologized for thinking it was funny, an AI video that had his coach,
Sarkesian, Steve Sarkesian, hitting Holly Row.
What are the interesting parts of this story to you, if any, Jessica?
And welcome, it's nice to see you.
It's nice to see you.
And before I talk about this, I just want to give my heartfelt condolences to Greg on the
news that he was let go by the herald i haven't texted him about it yet but when i found out i was
very upset and devastated and the state of media it is very bleak so gregg i'm sorry but what a career
what a legend at the miami herald you were thank you i appreciate that you're welcome gregg
dan the thing about this whole saga that no one seems to really be talking about is the fact that
my i have googled this my understanding is that the law is very behind when it comes to this
and what you're able to do with it.
But being able to make a video of a real person
being slapped in the face and distributing it on the internet,
how is that allowed?
I don't understand that.
I understand in this country we have freedom of speech
and freedom of expression,
but using this technology to show violence against a woman
a real person, that is the thing that is so scummy
that someone went online and used some AI tool
to create this about one of the most,
just highly regarded people,
people in the sports media industry, someone that is, in fact, a colleague of the Mannings
because she works for ESPN, they have a show on ESPN during Monday night football.
It is really disgusting that this exists and that you can make videos of people and post
them online doing things that are threatening and violent.
What do you make of the apology, though?
I thought it was interesting that it went out on his IG story that only lives for 24 hours
that not all of his fans will see and it will expire.
am I making too much out of that, or is that something to you?
I don't really know what to make of it other than, like, I don't know what social media
apps, 22-year-olds use these days. I guess it's better than Snapchat, right? I don't know.
I'm with you probably would have been better to just be like a written statement posted somewhere,
but I think at least he apologized. It sounds like Holly Roe accepted his apology. The part of the
apology that I thought was well done was that she said that he reached out to her and apologized to
her, which I think is the correct thing to do here. And she said in her statement that she appreciated
our conversation about this, which will remain private, apology accepted. So she accepts the
apology. I thought this whole thing was really gross and people defending it was really gross,
but I'm happy that he did the right thing. We are talking today, though, about the changing face
of media and when you, Trista, say, what do you think of this getting out there that way?
It's got almost 8 million views and I keep saying these athletes don't need the media anymore.
They can handle all of this stuff however they want to handle it in the new age because there
aren't any tough questions coming after this.
Right.
Like if he had posted it as like a post on his page, then people presumably could comment on it or
like repost it.
You know what I mean?
And so, like, Trista's point, I think is a good one that it's like a quick little fleeting, disappearing thing.
But obviously, now people screenshot it and post it around.
So I don't really, I mean, nothing on the internet is ever really, ever really disappears.
But, yeah, it's definitely like very of our times to post an IG story, like, notes app apology.
I can't think of a story like this where the Holly Roe situation feels like it's bigger than the Texas win.
Like, it was such a massive night.
It was an incredible finish to a really meaningful game.
And the story from the game is Holly Roe.
Yeah, well, it's really the awkward post-game interaction between her and Sark that sort of kicked the whole thing off because people who hate women online were like, why was she so disrespectful to him?
Why did she roll her eyes at him?
Blah, blah, blah.
And there had already been an issue going into half with communications where Laura Rutledge had to come on screen and say that their, you know, communications were down.
And that's why Sark didn't do the halftime interview, which,
I know a lot of people kind of rolled their eyes at because they're like, well, he's also getting his butt kicked.
So maybe he didn't want to do it to begin with.
And then, of course, there's always the criticisms about sideline reporters in the first place and what they actually add.
But I think it would be like there are sports or there are games where they don't have sideline reporters and you just live in the world of the announcer's booth.
That's weird to me.
Like, it's good to get some color from the field.
And people like, like, there's been some amazing coach moments postgame that have been captured in these interviews.
So it was very weird when Sark ran away and just did like the hookum thing and that whole thing was awkward to begin with.
And then, yeah, it obviously got taken to a whole worse level because people used that interaction to make her look bad and to portray her in a video getting slapped in the face.
Like that is insane.
Like you should not be able to do that and distribute it online.
What Zaz is saying there, though?
It's weird, right?
the fact that we are in an age, and this happens plenty in the WNBA, where people wander over and just grab the thing that they can to make it something that they can argue about because arguing and division is now the new sport.
That is the biggest win that Texas has had since Vince Young beat USC and conquered the Pete Carroll USC dynasty in the Rose Bowl.
A giant win won in the most impressive fashion.
A game like that has not been won in 15 years.
With the biggest star in college football.
With three drives of over 12 plays led by a star who announced himself
because he hasn't had that moment yet in his college career.
And we're all talking about the most ridiculous thing.
Yeah, well, I don't know.
I guess hopefully now that he's apologized and she's accepted it,
we can all move forward.
But of course, there are still people who are going to somehow make this
about her and that this was her fault to begin with, and those people just should be shunned from
life. I think it's an evolving story. I mean, yesterday we're waiting for Archmanning to apologize.
Why hadn't he apologized? Now he has apologized, and I wonder, there was a room full of media
laughing, amused that Archmanning said that. And I haven't heard an apology from any of those
reports yet. Well, no, actually, Greg, the guy who wrote the tweet, I asked a,
arch about if he's seen any videos, his response is gold.
That guy put out a whole big apology that it was like really poor choice of words.
But Jessica-
Poor choice of words, but like he literally was on the podium and was like,
ha-ha, she got slapped.
It was hilarious.
And that guy was like, this is gold.
Oops, sorry.
Jessica's got it right, though.
The end of the story is Holly Rowe accepting the apology.
She's the one who's had to deal with something really untrue.
pleasant in the aftermath.
It would have been. Chris Cody shouted
in my ear while Jessica was talking.
I wish she had just said, apology
denied, because we're all wandering
around here, demanding all
sorts of apologies from
everybody. And I will
just say again, while I understand it
as a symbolic conversation,
that game, Jessica,
just in the context of you
love college football, that
game ends up living in the fourth
quarter up to all the hype.
It was a tremendous game, Dan.
It really, really lived up to the hype.
And I think that's what's unfortunate about the aftermath,
because somehow this becomes a story of sports media
and how women in sports media always lose,
because now there's a video of a sideline reporter
who did nothing wrong, getting slapped in the face
by AI Steve Sarkesian and the quarterback
of the other team laughing about it
and all the beat reporters at the Texas press conference
that were there that laughed about it.
That's on video too.
Like, it just is,
terrible and if you talk about it then you're the wet blanket stick in the mud
woman who's too sensitive and shouldn't be working in sports because you need a
thicker skin
and this is just how life goes
and you're ungrateful so good stuff all around but yeah i mean to the
to your point about the game i think
the first half was
it was in to quote our our dear friends to got a tale of two halves dan
the first half ohio state and jeremiah smith looked like
the most unstoppable force in college football
and Texas had no answers for him.
And then in the second half, with a combination of a comedy of errors and maybe some poor game management by Ryan Day,
Texas is able to come all the way back, three incredible drives led by Arch Manning,
and they win on a touchdown that maybe Ohio State should have let them score.
I don't know where you stand on that.
That I think is probably up for debate.
But I am so thrilled that that game happened on Texas.
is home field because the scenes after that game were incredible.
I was going to ask you just in terms of like, we collectively all hate Ohio State.
They, at least, I think fans in general want to revel in their failure.
And I was running around saying hook them.
And now I'm rooting against now, Texas probably for the rest of the year.
I think they are now one of the villains of college football.
Is that too wet blankety?
of me to say.
No, I mean, I think you, as a sports fan,
whatever you want to take as your reason for liking a team
or hating a team, that's your choice.
That's what's beautiful out there.
There was another actually even just as disgusting incident
that happened after the game involving Texas fans
where a Texas politician posted a photo of Southeast Asian
or Southwest Asian Texas students and was saying that like,
it was just incredibly racist.
I don't have the quote in front of me.
But that was a whole other thing that somehow this other thing overshadowed.
But, yeah, there were a couple disgusting incidents after that game
that definitely took away some of the shine from how great a football game it was.
So the game was fun, yeah?
Tony, this stuff is important.
Like, it matters.
Like, it matters that elected officials are.
Yeah, I don't know.
I mean, you can make light of it.
But, like, this is the world we live in right now.
This is reality, unfortunately.
I'd rather talk about football, too.
I've always, I got into sports media because I like sports.
And for some reason, my whole career, I've had to talk about violence against women and racism.
And that sucks.
So why don't we stop being racist and violent against women?
Then I can maybe, for once in my life, talk about sports.
Yeah.
That would be awesome.
Jessica, I have a question that isn't talking about sports because I'm interested in your answer here.
You're really going to go back to it right after that spiel?
We all hate AI, or at least some of us do or pretend like we hate AI unless it puts out something that's amusing.
and not offensive. I'm wondering if the AI depiction had shown Holly Roe chasing down Sarkesian
and tackling him, that would have been funny or would that have been bad? You're really going to
keep it here? Like, you're... I'm curious. No, I'm curious. I mean, I still think that's stupid. Like,
that's obviously stupid. It's not the same context as a man slapping a woman in the face. Totally agree.
totally agree it's still dumb and something that might
sorry there's people outside my door
willow does not like that question either
willow didn't like the question either
no I just think
if Holly Rowe is chasing down Sarkesian and tackling
him you mention that it's hilarious because women
everybody loves it historically
extremely violent against men so yes the context is different if the thing
is different that is true I agree with you
any other follow-ups on this subject no I still think it's stupid
no that's good so yeah
You sure?
Yeah, yeah.
I'm good.
My favorite part of the football season is the confidence everybody has before a kickoff.

Dan Levitar. I heard that as a woman faking pain. I didn't think that sounded real. I really didn't, you know.
It was not fake. It was in no way fake. You can spot a woman faking it.
Greg Cody. Yes, I can, Jess. I've been married 40 years. This is the Dan Levitar show.
Let's listen to Greg Cote's previous contributions in the way of sound.
earlier in this interview.
That was you.
That was you. That's what you provided before that.
That's not me. That's AI.
Not me.
What?
It was like as Jess was starting a question, you got in there like,
the WNBA is back tomorrow.
And what is it that you're most excited about before we get to other things in week three
and other things from week two in college football?
football.
Okay, just I'm not sure if you agree with this or not, but there has been a lot of hand-wringing
about the timing of the FIBA World Cup and the fact that now there are still four regular
season games like each team has four games left before the playoff start and that why do
we still have regular season games like we just took a two and a half week break.
This is stupid.
I actually think this is awesome.
Like I have completely changed my mind about the timing of the World Cup in the season because
now all these players are coming back from the World Cup and it is basically a sprint to the
finish line of the end of the season.
Some of these teams, basically the top eight are set.
Like we know which teams are going to make the playoffs.
But some of these teams have a few easy games.
Some of them have like really hard games left and the seating is not determined yet.
So it's going to be basically a four game sprint to figure out who has home court advantage
and any upset, which there could be some big upsets because we know teams are coming
back from a World Cup.
Some of them haven't practiced in a while.
Some might have injuries.
Some might be tired.
It's going to have a huge impact on how the rest of the playoffs go.
And I think for the for the, for.
dramatic narrative purposes, this is kind of great. I'm kind of excited for it.
Which players or teams do you think have the most at stake? Because there's multiple teams
that have multiple players that were in the Feeble Cup, Valkyries, fever, aces. But then you also
have the fever. You talk about who they're playing. They play the links number one seed in all
of the WMBA twice. And they play the Mystics, which a lot of the conspiracy theorists think
are kind of like the downfall of them being on national TV so much.
I think the fever thing is interesting because if the links don't clinch right away,
those games matter a lot more, whereas if the links do clinch right away,
maybe they rest their starters, and that gives the fever a leg up,
and they're able to secure home court advantage.
I think the real team that has the most at stake right now is the Liberty,
because they could either play their way up or play their way down.
And if they end up, I think, the seven seed and the Valkyries are the two, that is the worst possible scenario.
So I'm almost like, yeah, you guys should just tank the rest of the season.
So you don't, like I would, if I were a Liberty fan, I would rather play Minnesota in a three-game series than the Valkyries.
Because I think the Valkyries have kind of kicked their butt this year.
But I don't know if the Liberty have a great shot either way.
But definitely more so if they went out the rest of the season and some of the other teams.
You can't advocate for tanking.
You can't. You have to sometimes.
I mean, they already acted like they were tanking the first half of the season.
And that's why they're in this mess to begin with.
Jess, are we hearing anything about the next commissioner?
No, sorry, not Greg.
Zaz.
I'm Jonathan.
Other than, that's my bad.
I don't know why I said Greg.
Other than, like, I've seen people say, oh, it should be Nekka Agumake.
That is crazy to me.
She has been, like, on the player's side negotiating CBAs for years.
it would be wild for her to join the side of management and negotiate against her own former teammates in a CBA agreement.
Like I don't think that that would make a lot of sense.
But otherwise, I don't have a clue who it would be.
We have Lane Kiffin as the coach that's the most fun, I think, in college football, the one willing to embrace villain status.
Do you have any other coaches, Jessica, that you would like to nominate for the coach that you have your eye on?
for any reason outside of Lane Kiffin, who's going back to Ole Miss this weekend in the big game of the weekend.
Yeah, I feel like Dan, this week there's been a lot of coaches not really covering themselves in glory.
Like the James Franklin thing was very off-putting. I did not like that. We've got like day 100 in a row of Sark complaining about scheduling in Ohio State and whether the game should count or it shouldn't count.
And it's just like, okay, we get it. Thank you. However, Dan, there is one coach.
out there who had a moment this week that reminded me why I love the game. And this is how I wish
every single college football coach was. There could be a challenge. You know, we're definitely
stepping up in class. It's kind of like we've, you know, been going to like fast food restaurants
to eat. Now all of a sudden, we got an invite to the nicest steakhouse in town. And you're
checking your wallet to make sure you have enough to cover it because you don't want to be embarrassed
because it certainly is a team that can embarrass you if you're not ready to go. So we got to have a
great week and go play her tails off Saturday night.
It's a funny analogy.
It's a great analogy because he's definitely, that's happened to him before.
You can tell.
He's like remembering something really traumatic while he's giving that answer.
That's Dan going to get rice and beans.
Are there a lot of hefty college coaches anymore because that stuck out to me there.
I feel like they're all like jacked now.
Beal them up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean the former alignment, he's a former Wisconsin alignment, Jason Eck, the head coach at
University of New Mexico.
He's definitely, he's definitely a thicky.
Mike Elko, he's got a thing going.
Yeah, he also wears, like, way too long of a shirt where it looks like he's in a night
dress and he should have a little candle on a plate with maybe like a little, like, a cap on the back of his head.
Yeah, Dan, I was me and Dan locked eyes there.
I know that move. Yeah, wear the blousey shirt to try to unsuccessfully disguise your diet.
Yeah. Well, I love this answer, and it made me really happy that he made a food analogy.
That was just what I needed this week.
You always got to do the arm test when he has a shirt.
Make sure the belly button's not so.
All right, we're good to go.
What are your thoughts here headed into week three of college football?
There's breaking news right now for people who care about aesthetics.
The University of Miami had just moved from Adidas to Nike.
Really?
Huge.
Yeah, a new $200 million deal.
Nike has stolen the hurricanes.
Ten years, $200 million.
Roy's been fist pumping for 10 minutes.
That makes me happy, man, because Adidas is terrible.
Wow.
That's big for Miami.
Yeah, Dan, I know the big game that everyone's talking about is LSU Ole Miss.
It's going to be one of the most hostile college football environments that we may ever see in our lifetime.
I've kind of flipped back and forth on who I think will win, but I think I believe in LSU's defense, and I will stand by that.
I think maybe worth noting, though, LSU did not cover themselves in glory against L.A. Tech last weekend in like a weird, gross night game that I don't think a lot of people watch through a few interceptions.
And also, Clemson looked really bad against Georgia Southern. They had, their quarterback got hurt. They were not able to really get in the end zone at all. So I don't know if you take like some points away from LSU's week one win over Clemson because of that. But I do think it's going to be a really awesome game.
And I think the other big game that is not getting enough coverage because it's an ACC game is the SMU Louisville game that I know Mike is going to be all over. Neither team has to play Miami this year.
So this is going to be a huge game to potentially determine who plays in the ACC championship against Miami because I think Miami is pretty much locked up their spot in that already based off the first two weeks.
And that's going to be a really fun game too at 3.30, I think on ESPN too.
Those two teams are both sneaky good for a long time now.
Like both of those teams are considered sort of the others, but SMU and Louisville are two teams that I believe are better than the Memphis's of the world.
Like they're just under the top ten in terms of being excellent for several years.
Where are you, Jessica, on something we were talking about yesterday, where I do believe it's fairly obvious to everyone that this whole thing has swept right by Dabo because he wasn't ready for the NIL and transfer portal age.
But Dan Lannning, what has happened with him, what are your thoughts on the first two games of the season there and Dan Lanning sort of being left behind?
Just skip this question, Jess.
I know.
I mean, there's been a lot of people as we dissecting Oregon's offense and whether or not Dante Moore was tipping passer run against Oklahoma State.
But I actually think I was more concerned with Oregon's defense in this game, with the caveat being that Oklahoma State's defense,
or offense, I should say, is kind of what I expected it to look like this year.
And they truly made some mistakes.
It's what it looked like last year at North Texas.
But Dan, it's not what it looked like against Tulsa.
And that's why this sport is really fun because you are watching.
I know they're paid, but they are still college students and they're very young and they do make a lot of mistakes.
Week to week the flip that Oklahoma State did in having a really bad game, their offense looked terrible against Tulsa.
the next week having an explosive game, Drew Mestemaker, like running the ball, throwing the ball,
everything against Oregon and a defense that was supposed to have, you know, one of the best
front sevens in the sport this year. It's pretty remarkable. But I think that's kind of what
I'm concerned about. And now, you know, I was already sort of excited for this USC Oregon game
in a couple weeks. Now I think it's USC's game to lose. I think that's going to be a really
tough one for Oregon. Sorry, Trista. Tony, you know that moment?
at a party or a tailgate where everything just sort of clicks.
I know it well. It's usually when I show up. Everybody goes crazy.
Yeah, you usually take all the credit for it,
but it's because Tony usually walks in with Quervo.
I'm walking like this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Quervo is a thing that turns hanging out into this is the night.
It has that effect on people.
It does. You usually take the credit for it.
But again, it's the Quervo effect.
It's like that moment in a big game where everyone in the crowd just starts standing up,
hooting and hollering.
Keep it, Quervo.
Keep a quervo, baby.
Dan Levatar.
I don't like Smitty either.
Jessica is Matana.
Women stay home in the kitchen where they belong.
This is the Dan Levitar show.
Jess, all week I've been really skeptical of these Rams.
Like, you know, you saw the Miles Garrett injury come out.
And I was thinking there was just going to be an announcement where he's just like, guys, I was tired.
Because I don't like the way the Rams did it going the day before, trying to out smart everybody.
And have you seen Sean McVe, Jess?
he looks so tired
Chris Cody
I hit the bags under his eyes
this is AI
it is can't be his eyes
there are some some ginormous
bags under his eyes
I do think that a lot of people
underestimate how long a 16 hour flight is
I've had the misfortune of being on several of them
and you
okay Dan but I've seen people say like
oh but flying back from Europe is like 10 hours
it's not that it's not that would have made more sense
to be like people don't know how many minutes it is
you know like we six an hour six now
hours. People don't understand how long a 16 hour flight feels. How's that, Zaz? You by hour
10 still have five or six hours left, you feel like you're never going to get off the plane.
You just accept the fact that you live on the plane and you will in fact never be back on firm
ground again. It is so mentally taxing, let alone like I did it in coach, which is definitely
worse than all these brand players had to do in like middle seat. No, I think it was there were only, I don't
No, no middle seat.
I was in an aisle seat next to some doctors studying for an exam,
and I was just so bored.
I was reading his notes.
No in-flight entertainment, also, I should add.
There was no little movie screen on that I literally raw dog in the flight?
This entire flight.
It was horrible.
And then we had an aborted land.
This was in Johannesburg like a few years ago.
They had to abort the landing.
So then it added like another 45 minutes that I was literally crawling out of my skin.
Obviously, the Rams players had like the bougiest version possible.
of this, it's still really freaking long.
And I think they outsmarted themselves.
And you can tell that by Sean McBay's bags under his eyes right now.
I'm just picturing like, after 10 hours, you're like, all right, let me go to the bathroom,
stretch out a little bit here.
And then you get into that bathroom, you look in the mirror, you're like, all right, I'm just
going to watch two really long movies and then we'll be there.
After 10 hours, it's just really long.
Two really long movies until I'm there.
This is torture.
Chris, I could have watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
multiple times
extended editions.
The worst flight I've ever had
because the Australia flight I took was rough
but the worst one I had was
from China because not only
was I stuck between people
the guy next to me
kept eating an exotic
fried fish snack.
That's bullshit.
Well, you go to China.
Jessica, thank you.
Appreciate the time.
Check out her weekly Notre Dame podcast
the Echoes with Mike Golick Jr. I'm thinking of hiring a chief revenue officer to fire Greg
Cody again because of what he's done the last two hours. Go ahead, Jessica. What happened?
Do you remember the famous Mike Valenti radio rant in like 2006 about Michigan State?
I do not. We'll play it next week. Notre Dame plays Michigan State. That's a good tease.
Wow. Okay. It's a great radio rant. Make sure to play it next week. Thank you. I appreciate it.
the time as well. Kirk Herb Street has said about the UM move to Nike. I was surprised at how
excited you guys got by that. He's like, thank goodness Miami players too good to be wearing those
baggy ass pants. Great news for the cane. I don't know about baggy ass pants. The pants seemed
normal, find the new slant, but the move to Nike is such a massive move for Nike because Nike stock,
if you've been keeping up, their stock has dropped dramatically in the last like five to six years
since the pandemic. They're in dire straits right now, so they need to get positive momentum.
It's true. They need to get positive momentum going for the brand.
This move also signifies that the U is back, baby.
I mean, it's an investment by Nike. It's a smart investment by Nike, 10 years, $200 million.
And I think at this point it's pretty obvious that the University of Miami is not a mirage.
Like when you talk to the people who know about recruiting classes, they're telling you,
the University of Miami is getting all of the best players.
It wasn't quite this easy the last couple of years to get these players.
It's gotten easier to get the best players.
And if they're recruiting South Florida and the country this kind of well in a way that you see Dan
Lannning how he misses Mario Cristobal and you see that Miami clearly has not just an easy
schedule this year, but they've got athletes where they look the part.
Like you're looking at it.
You remember, I will not forget Lane Kiffin just coming on our show and telling us that when he was at Alabama,
that every time him and Nick Saban went on the field, they'd look at their own players and the other team's players and be like, yep, we've got the better team.
Like we just know we have the better players physically, and that's what Miami physically looks like now, and now they're going to look the part even more.
Because I think whatever it is that you think of the Nike stock, and a lot of people are saying that's because of the wokeness of Nike that has hurt their stock price.
everyone understands that Nike is the kind of stylish that you want with your uniforms, right?
Like that is, to the degree that we study fashion in sports, Nike is the standard setter.
They're the top of the measure, correct?
Yes.
Very rare is it that an Adidas school wins a national championship, right?
Like, that was always the conversation.
Obviously, Indiana won it last year, and they're in Adidas school.
But it was very rare in the early 2000s to where we are now that an Adidas school would
win it because those schools were usually on the lower end of the measure.
I will say, though, it makes me nervous how confident everyone's getting with Miami.
Jess, who's been historically skeptical of Miami, just in that last segment, just like,
oh, yeah, they're already in the championship game.
But they are.
They can lose to Notre Dame and still be in.
I know, but they just, dude, we've seen, over the years, we've seen this team lose to plenty
of mid-ACC teams.
And I know, and I'm with you, Dan, it does feel different, but as soon as we start thinking
that it's different.
But they're not playing any of them this year.
There's not the SMU, the Louisville, the Georgia,
tech. None of those teams are on there. You're going to keep doing it. You're going to feed the rat poison.
They can lose to Notre Dame and they can lose in the ACC championship game. But you're going to have a
hard time finding the quarterback on their schedule who can actually expose the fact that their
secondary is hurt and their defensive line is not as good as last year. There are not a lot of
quarterbacks on their schedule, the regular season schedule who can actually exploit what needs
to be exploited. And furthermore, outside of maybe James Franklin,
There aren't a lot of coaches that do what Lashley does or Rahm does either so that you can, you know, leave the Miami coaching staff naked.
Like, yeah, maybe they lose, but this is, if I put it on a silver platter on a schedule, this is what your schedule you want it to look like.
You got one big game that everybody's going to be paying attention to before you play in the ACC championship game.
Hey, players, if you're listening right now, don't listen to him.
This biggest game of your life, Wake Forest this Friday.
biggest game of your life.
Damn right.
Not damn right.
Rat poison.
Greg, what's happening with you over the last couple of hours?
Like, tell me what happened with...
It's rat poison.
You mentioned that, yes.
You mentioned that it was rat poison.
Right.
You already mentioned...
Say it again.
That Wake Forest is rat poison.
That Wake Forest is rat poison.
Tell me what was happening when this sound came out of your body.
Earlier when we were talking to Jess,
and it was the only sound that you made for the previous...
65 minutes because all you're doing is staring at whatever it is you're doing with your substack.
That's not me. Everybody knows that's AI.
You can do anything with AI.
We don't use AI around here.
I've asked them not to use AI around here as an ethical principle.
Okay.
I'm good.
I support that.
But that's not me.
I could not tell, Roy, when you were playing the barking sound of Willow and when it is that Willow was barking.
And there were several times where you were holding up your hand saying,
that's not me because Willow was barking the same way that you were playing the repeatable sound.
Could you guys tell when it was being played by Roy and when it is that Willow was barking?
It took me a while.
I thought Willow had impeccable timing.
I think I made a mistake.
And the mistake was Dan looks over at me and I'm fingers crossed hoping we don't get to any Oregon, Dan landing content.
And I think we were really in the clear until he was.
like processing, what, what is she doing? And then he jumped on it to add salt to the wounds.
Yesterday, you pointed out something about me that is true. There are a handful of words that I
have trouble with, okay, Louisville. You guys have called me on that. Louisville. Oregon. Oregon,
I pronounce it, worship. When it comes to worshiping, I make it a warship instead of a prayer.
but how should I say from an expert,
how should I be saying Oregon?
Oregon.
So how have I been saying it wrong?
Because I do it all the time.
On yesterday's show, you said it like four different ways.
Yeah.
There can't be that many ways to say it.
You'll find them, though.
How about Oregon?
Origen.
I think that's how I think that's the mistake I make.
I make it, you guys are making both Louisville and Oregon.
You're making it two syllables instead of three.
I'm over-pronouncing it with both of those.
pronouncing with three syllables, correct?
I don't even...
That's not even one syllable.
My wife makes fun of how I say comfortable.
Because I say every syllable where most people are just like comfortable.
Comfortable.
Back to your show.
Oregon.
Origenoff.
Sometimes you say a little too long.
Let's all say words.
We say weird.
Zaz?
Really?
A lot of them.
I think that sounds normal.
Yeah, really.
Yeah.
That's normal.
Zaz was saying really because he can't believe that that's the
you lobbed him.
He was not saying really.
We all have a word we say weird.
But that's not,
he was.
He's too insecure to admit his.
No,
what he was doing is,
are you really this bad at this that you would throw me that question that I can do
nothing with right now?
Some good yes-standing right there by him.
He threw me just a grenade.
It's an alley-up.
That's what it was.
Imagine, imagine, imagine a really good passer in the open.
in court, okay? You throw the alley-oop
and you're about to dunk it and you've been lobbed
a grenade instead of a basketball.
That's what you did to me earlier with the Adam
Silver bite. I didn't know it was coming. I didn't know
you were coming to me. I couldn't get to
anybody to let him know that a bite was coming
and I was going to toss to. Dad, who wronged
you today? Red Lashley.
Man, everyone's playing yes-and right now.
I mean, you did the same thing to Greg.
I mean, this, this sound happened.
Me?
Okay, I'm hosting
a show with people who are
paid. Roy, he was literally talking
at Greg. I don't even
understand his Rett Lashley joke. Somebody
understand what's happened. Lashing out.
I had no idea that's where he was really.
Copy rhyming slang. He just said, who
are you lashing out at? I thought he was making an
SMU joke. A bad one.
He was. I think we need to... He did exactly that.
We got to delete the last two minutes of this shit,
I think. You want me to save it, Dan?
You want to save the show? We'll bounce back.
No, we're not going to bounce. Look,
I'm sure... Should we all just sit here?
Yes. Yeah. Look, look. I
Let's sit in this particular diarrhea here.
I'm going to allege that the last two minutes that we have done are the worst we've done this century.
Me?
That happened earlier where Greg Cody, I'm clearly looking at him, asking him a question,
and he is stunned that he's still a part of the program.
Maybe?
Who else would I have been asking the question about names some Sylvester Stallone movies
when I'm staring straight at you
and the job is to have chemistry
with somebody when talking
me
the FBI don't me
me
me
Ha ha ha ha ha
Ha ha
