Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This is the Dunluba Tarshou with the Stugat Spatcast. Or live. Here it is. All right. Welcome to the coronation happening behind me on the court here at ball arena. One of the ugliest games I've ever seen in my life and truly the right team won. the fact that they had a chance towards the end to win this game was nothing short of a miracle. The Muggets played the bet with a better team for most of the night even when they eat were up 10. As we welcome in Tom Abbess so Charlotte Wilder to our official metal-like post game coverage.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Again right behind me is the commissioner handing the trophy over. You got Nick Lioca, it's crying. You got the crowd going nuts. As ever when it's first, he is crying, yes. He's crying his, his brothers were crying everybody was crying. How many tears? How many tears? Let's get more tears. How many tears?
Starting point is 00:01:18 I want to point out a stat that I've been running with all day today that I think is pretty rock solid. The Kronkgy family becomes the first family in sports history to win a Super Bowl in 2021, a Stanley Cup in 2022, and now an NBA championship in 2023. Back to back to back, three different sports. I don't think if this ever happened. I'm sure it's never happened before. And I know everyone in Denver, like Jenna Garcia,
Starting point is 00:01:51 is very happy. Jenna did the obligatory video of her celebrating. Try to make it look like spontaneous, but she's happy. Jenna, go ahead and take your picture of that. I mean, no better team could have won. They played the best basketball all season. This was an important team to win because I feel like they are good proof that you need to... The regular season matters. The regular season matters. They put in the work in the regular season.
Starting point is 00:02:22 And they're still victorious. Not like the Lakers who just pick up guys, you know, at the trade deadline and then think they're gonna win. Not guys who are just... I love Miami Heat. I don't care about the regular season, just rest all regular season long and then show up here for the playoffs. Now this team's been grinding all season long. They deserve this win. Come on guys. I know you're excited too. Scott Foster wanted to hijack this game so bad. I don't think that's fair about the heat in the Lakers. The Lakers were legitimately a garbage roster for the first like four months and had to switch other players because
Starting point is 00:02:58 they're garbage. And then they hit you. I'm sorry. We can't just all have amazing franchises who have won a shit ton of Championships and just have all the money to just get whoever at the trade deadlines that come on That's how it wasn't about money. It was just yeah, the nuggets of pre-max players I mean, I like that. I like that the Lakers did catch a straight though and the Denver postgame I mean, the Lakers they thought that's the rest of the question for them. And it was just a bad is the back season. Yeah. I just want to give a shout out the main headline here is that Ishmith is now an NBA champion.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Yeah. 13 games in NBA. He didn't play a single minute in this finals. But if he played, they would have won by a thousand in each of the games. Elvis Balkarcel is an NBA champion. I hired him. He's in the NBA because of me, literally because of me and my butt. He probably would have never gotten there without you, right?
Starting point is 00:04:00 No, no, no. This is like, I'm not exaggerating here. He was a college video coordinator. Oh, well, if you're not exaggerating, then it must be true. I tell you. Just saying like, this was, this is you. So again, another play out bonus check has residuals
Starting point is 00:04:15 for all amino acid. What is the finger thing you're doing now? I don't like that. That's. I'm counting money. I'm counting money. No. Now, guys, there was a point I tweeted out that Miami are trying to prove or trying to
Starting point is 00:04:30 see if you can win an NBA finals game, shooting sub 40%. After that, when they went up by one now for Jimmy Butler jump shot, they were shooting 35% at that moment. And at that moment, I said a horrendous game. A horrendous game. They must not be allowed to win They must not be allowed dude. That was awful. It was that like It was awful The the yackety sacks soundtrack should have been playing for the entire fourth quarter
Starting point is 00:04:58 Maybe the entire game just turnovers throwing the ball away air balls Terrible refereeing. I have never seen a worse call in a bigger moment game. Just turnovers, throw on the ball away. Airballs, terrible refereeing. I have never seen a worse call in a bigger moment. Then the Jimmy Butler that he's not that. Yeah, that was a bad call, man. It's crazy. They have eight turnovers in this game because it felt like 20. Yes. Yes. You got you got it. You got it to got he up in this You want a microphone? I can't hear a mother fucking thing It's pandemonium in his mother fuck it up. So loaded my big sister Charlotte Wilder and my little brother Michael sir
Starting point is 00:05:36 I see y'all I did what you just said, but you guys are responding like he said some funny shit So I also think it's hilarious that the game was so bad yet so stressful. Yes, like for nuggets and heat fans, if I were one of them, I would have been hiding under my couch because it was so painful to watch, but it was also so close. I mean, I know we're not supposed to, we're not supposed to like root. Yeah. When the heat, I think they went up 88 87. I'm just furious
Starting point is 00:06:09 I was ready for the season to be over and and in the second the second that three point that three free throws got a Ward to Jimmy I was MF and this and MF that I was I was very I'm gonna say this right now, man Had they come out hit shots like one the game, I would have been like, all right, but I'm with you Zach when they went up, I was like, you gotta be kidding me. Hey man, what's your out? What's your down through one? I'm you done. I don't want you. I don't want you. It's not even. No, not like that, not like that. Not like that. Like you can extend it, but not like that.
Starting point is 00:06:46 How surprised you guys after all the Tyler hero is all clear, we didn't even see him for a single second today. Oh, of course. He would have, his heart would have exploded. I didn't think we were gonna see him at all. That felt like a, that felt like a weird smoke screen or something. So, so great. So then why didn't they do this like every game of the series?
Starting point is 00:07:07 What was the quality of it? Wait until now I thought for short game for they would start floating I talked I thought the John Calapari today and he said Just hit the Richter scale I'm gonna pick up the name or wow. Jenna, Jenna's not gonna pick up that name, right? Like, you're just gonna pick up that name. Look man, I talked to John Connbite. You talked to us, two today. Yeah, I know, I talked to a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:07:31 He told me, he knew Tyler Heroes is gonna play in game four because he called Tyler Heroes dad and said, where you at when he got to the arena? It's not here, that said Milwaukee. So that's how they knew, they knew like, that's such a LeBron thing to say. I knew he wasn't gonna play because I talked to his dad. Yeah, like come on.
Starting point is 00:07:49 We're going to we're also going to find out that Tyler here is going to have like two surgeries tomorrow on that hand. Like he was never going to play right? That's going to be the right. Everyone says, how would it be if he were really playing Chess? He would have dropped that before every game. Yeah. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:08:08 This is what I would say, Charlotte. Yeah. Suppose a chess master who had to play with pawns in higher series. There was a point in the game. He didn't have a bishop inside. There was a point in this game where I was watching and I texted Zach and in the group time,
Starting point is 00:08:23 I said, they looked like a 44 win team that got like a forfeit to the finals they they could like I've never seen a team look that outmatched in the NBA finals there was a point even though I'm on the little but no 17 I've never seen a team that outmatched there was a point with like nine minutes left in the third where I think I text the group chat I don't think I allow me to the group chat but I don't allow you allow any to the group chat. I don't think I'll allow you can can sit the rest of this game, which is a wild thing to think in 2023. Yeah, man. Wait a second. We're not in the group chat.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Me and Charlotte are in the group. So you'll just know that you can just finish the postseason as the postseason leader in points, rebounds, and assists, which is the first time that's ever happened in NBA history that a single player has led in the triple crown numbers. Koleo Kitch had eight more points than anybody, 44 more rebounds than anybody, and 48 more assists than anybody. It is first NBA time. Let me just say real quick, he was so unstoppable tonight.
Starting point is 00:09:29 And there was that point where they hit like a, you know, taking the lead or about taking the lead. And Michael Porter Jr. put up the most bullshit to any shit but shot. And I was getting ready to go down my court beat his ass. I'm like, what are you doing? Like, are you point shaving? There was that drive in the beginning of the
Starting point is 00:09:45 game where he goes up. I think it was a charge and Yoke is just standing underneath the basket completely unguarded. He's literally every time he got the ball. He's not losing his mind playing next to that dude while he's making 40 million dollars a year. So I have a question for the, yeah, for the pod. I'm wondering, I asked him in this earlier, but I'm wondering what you guys think. Who of all the Nuggets players has the biggest come up?
Starting point is 00:10:11 Or the biggest more respect, I guess, now after winning the championship? Hmm, that's a good question. I would say either Deandra Jordan for being the first Lobb City guy to get a championship. Or I actually think like tomorrow Murray became a superstar in this series, right? Like he was really good. Yes. the first Lob City guy to get a championship or I actually think like tomorrow Murray became a superstar in this series right like he was really good yes.
Starting point is 00:10:28 No, not a star. No, not a star. I have to fact check you. Matt Barnes won a championship in 2017. Thank you very much. You played for Lob City. You're incorrect. He wasn't part of Lob City though.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Yes he was. If you don't throw or catch a lob then I know you you're part of that. Like it was like three people. I'm siding with that. Yeah, it's Christmas. It's Christmas. It's Blake Griffin. It's the underdrawn. That's it.
Starting point is 00:10:51 No, he do Lobbs. He threw a lot of Lobbs. They were magnificent Lobbs. They were the beautiful Lobbs you've ever seen before. All right, have a look. I don't, I actually think the answer is Yokeh. It should be terrible. It was just he was left off at the top
Starting point is 00:11:08 75 teams before the season didn't make the all-time 75 team now he has two MVP's a finals MVP One of nine players in NBA history to have two finals two two MVP's in the regular seasons, a finals MVP through his age 27 season. That list is Karim, Michael Jordan, LeBron, Magic, Bird, Moses, Duncan, Yannis, and Yokech. Nine players in NBA history. He was left off the all 75 team, and this dude has more of a goal than himself. Whoa, no bill, I still. Let's catch it straight.
Starting point is 00:11:45 What? He's 13th all time in win shares through his age 30, 27 season. He's 20th just through eight seasons. This guy was left off the 75 team with two MVP's. Anthony Davis made it over this dude. And we're asking you got the biggest glow up after this post season.
Starting point is 00:12:06 It's yokich. He went from a non-75 flare to arguably 25. But but when everyone's saying, wait a second, that guy should have been on the top 75 list immediately. I don't know if that's like a, it's not like people were like, wait a second. Yeah, that makes sense that he's left off like, do I left off right? But like, so we're other all-time greats because we had to keep 30 of the people from the top 50 the first time because no one was brave enough to vote those guys off. I also think though that Yokech has been, he's been so consistent that he became overlooked.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Like he needed a championship to shake people out of it and say, this guy does belong, he put himself on the list of those nine players as opposed to needing someone else to put him on the list of 75. So I agree with you, Tom. He did what Janice did in 2021, right? It was like, all right, you've had a bunch of success individually, your team hasn't won anything,
Starting point is 00:12:57 you gotta do it. Janice did in 2021, Yokech did this year, like sometimes it's okay to, not that he had to prove that he was a champion, but sometimes you just have to win that championship for approval, right? Dirk had to do it in 2011. Yannis had to do it in 2021, Yokech did it this year.
Starting point is 00:13:13 And that's why I think that's harder to do is go from borderline all-star player like Jamal Murray into that all-star conversation. What Yokech just did. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Going What you'll catch just in. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Going from yeah. He's a fraud MVP. We're not going to give him the third MVP to what is he what is he done in the post season? We're just going up what Perk said or what like basketball people said. He didn't even have to be this year. He didn't win it though. Like I'm not I'm not making up these opinions when it's fact that he wasn't on the all 75 team and he wasn't an MVP this year.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Like it wasn't perk. It wasn't like perk was the only voter this year, right? Tom, do you know, have has there been another player like Nikola Yokich to win a championship like this without an all defensive team member, all NBA team may anything like no all star on this this team aside from him. I mean, Dirk winning it in 2011. Chant, but Jason Keele was a, Jason Keele was a
Starting point is 00:14:14 whole favor. Like, yeah, I mean, he was, he wasn't Jason Keele anymore, but he was still like, I mean, he was still amazing, right? Yeah, finding a guy who's that much better than every one of his teammates. I mean, LeBron James, 20, I mean, no, because I can't really come up with one off the top my head. Someone who is head and shoulders above the rest of his supporting cat. Again, never had an all NBA, never had an all star, never had an all defensive teammate ever in his career. Yokech's brother so effortlessly lifted up
Starting point is 00:14:46 Nikola Yokech in that celebration. Like, like he was a child. Why don't his brothers play? Why aren't his brothers on the nuggets? Is my question. I feel like you could teach them how to play basketball. If the NASA santa to come home can be on the box, then one of these young people is on the side of the box, right?
Starting point is 00:15:01 Yeah, like that. I've been wondering this. You see him in the stands and you're like just down the court. Leage Lobal got an empty contract. Yeah. Guys, guys, they have they have other interests like eating children and like I thought you'd been dead for a second. I was like, well, that's a weird team goal to eat children. That's But that's a weird team goal to eat children. That's it. No, no, just the yoked brothers. Just the yoked brothers.
Starting point is 00:15:27 I still think we can take them. I, uh, okay. Uh, Jamal, Jamal Murray, I think was my answer to Jenna's question. Because everyone knew he could score. Everyone knew he was a clutch player performer. But I think the big, uh, separator was in growing this game to be a guy that could make meaningful impact without having a huge offensive game. You guys are crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:52 You guys are crazy. Well, it's not crazy. YoKitch was left off the last pick. Oh my god. So here's the way we're all back to. No, who got the biggest glow up? Are you guys crazy? Are you guys crazy are you guys crazy?
Starting point is 00:16:05 Yeah, now finally no yoke It's now finally people know it wasn't the two the back-to-back MVP's no one knew it at that time But now they know he's good But he's never been all star he's never been all in and Jenna. You told me one of those free season NBA ranked things He didn't even appear the top 50 players in the league. I'm sorry Tom like Zack said Whatever you want to say about Yoke is being disrespected, which isn't untrue by the way He's been a two-time MVP. Yes, they know he's good And for the one who is in resounding. It's not like he won by the finesse of marty
Starting point is 00:16:43 He was a resounding two-time MVP Whereas now Jamal Murray for the next 10 years as long as he's healthy will be on every all-star team for the next 10 years and by the way, it's not just cuz they won It's cuz of how he played cuz if he had done what he did in 2020 hold on if he had done what he did in 2020 I think people are looking at him as your great playoff score If you had done what he did in 2020, I think people are looking at him as you're a great playoff score, do it in a regular season. Be consistent, it's easy to show up in his pockets.
Starting point is 00:17:09 But what he did was he said, I'm gonna impact this, I'm gonna be a major driver's success, not by scoring, by making other expectants. You're arguing that your mom Marie leaped, you're arguing that your mom Marie leaped 50 people in today's NBA. I am arguing, Yochich left 50 people all time in his reputation. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no A great wrong decision, but that's not the, like a bunch of all-time players didn't make it.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Right. That, by the also time, the panel you're talking about is very small compared to the panel of people who a vote for MVP and the greater media opinions about Yokeh. We're not talking about with those 60 voters or 50 voters. Also, they were so cowardly, they had 76 people on a top 75 list. Like, it wasn't a good list. Like, everyone had a problem with an immediate list. Moving my point, it wasn't even 75, it was 76. Okay. Take the media out of it for a second.
Starting point is 00:18:18 What about like casual fans? I feel like Yokech needed to be not only in the postseason, in the finals, and then win a championship for fans to be like, to get it into their head that this guy is one of the greats because I, not to sound like Michael Malone, but I think that there were a lot of people talking about why Yokech shouldn't be, like the narrative around the MVP vote this year was that it shouldn't be okay so I think fans I think well but that that the narrative that took over wasn't the truth and so I needed this for for fans to be like okay this guy is the dude
Starting point is 00:18:58 I think they try to tell us that his defense was the issue that it was defense that kept him from winning this second MVP and some people unlike the basketball illuminati crew were saying oh you know he's never been to a postseason he hasn't won very much in the post season so there was that but aside from that if you are following the parameters of this is a regular season award they held his defense against him and that was the number one thing people talked about in this series.
Starting point is 00:19:28 What's how bad he was shooting. I have a theory that Yoke itch messes the opponent up when he doesn't contest shots. Like he doesn't contest shots so often that it throws the attacker off like one time He's really go bare. Yeah, I care about you. Be careful I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna honest with you Tom There's an element of this obviously that the mind he just went the size it be interesting to see what would happen if they had Someone his size but the real like a telly seller or Cody's elder. Yeah, like him The seller minute minutes Cody seller. Yeah, like the seller minutes minutes with the minute. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:08 And by the way, someone pointed out in the chat, one minute minus five, that's red tonight. It's all his fault. That's how it does it. But like the reality is, the nuggets were elite defensively, elite in a way that they weren't in the regular season. This was at the 50 defense in the NBA.
Starting point is 00:20:29 And in these finals, as we see the glowing wrist, oh, you got to stop a little souvenir, huh? Oh, you got some little stuff. Oh, nice job, dude, dude. You're still on your wrist, yeah. But like in the NBA finals, then they're crazy on you. So watch what is that?
Starting point is 00:20:43 It's like this one of those wristbands that lights up when things happen. Yeah, I know I still like that. Yeah, go to a Taylor Swift content Jack. Come on. In the finals, this team, I'm supposed to games three, four and five. They made every correct rotation. They made every correct closeout. They made every correct peel and recover.
Starting point is 00:21:02 They did it all and they were big. They played, they contested. They didn't have to leave their feet to block shots. I was staggered. Staggered by how bothered Joe. Oh, Joe, I'm gonna be wow. Bam out of bio. See I'm already looking for it next year. Bam out of bio and Jimmy Butler world. I'm not talking about that part. I'm not talking about that one. No, no, no, no, no, they're gonna get damed not Joel. I'm not the old one. Why not both?
Starting point is 00:21:30 Why not both? Yeah, as we welcome him welcome in mode that kill fresh from the Dan Jackson concert feature litokris. What a weird combo. So it looks like he's been attacked by the ridler. Maybe there's a green glow that's happening. Yes, my green screen behind me. Or maybe the Joker?
Starting point is 00:21:47 Uh, uh, Mo, takeaways from one of the ugly NBA finals games I've ever seen in my life. Oh my God, it was one of the most hideous games. In a year when offense has taken over the entire NBA, both teams cannot able to score 100. It was kind of hilarious in the last game of the year. But I mean, the heat had a chance after the first half at the Nuggets head, but they had to be up more than seven. They just simply got to take
Starting point is 00:22:14 better advantage of the fact when the Nuggets aren't making threes. They got the guys in foul trouble. They're throwing the ball all over the court and they go into half only up seven. That's a massive problem right there. Yeah, they started off the game and turning over the ball four times on the first six possessions, gotten foul trouble. We saw DeAndre Jordan in this game. We saw DeAndre Jordan.
Starting point is 00:22:35 What was that about? What was that about? I think it was just like senior night, you know, like you just got like someone that is out of the game. Yeah. Exactly what Dennis said. Yeah, I think that's what that was.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Can I also say that Christian Brown won the national championship in 2022, and then the NBA Finals in 2023, and both games had the score of a college basketball game. So congrats to him. I thought you were going to say the score was the same, the exact same. He also won. It was. It was with three minutes left. Yeah. He has won 72 69 and it was like 72 74 hurt one.
Starting point is 00:23:10 But I was like, Oh, God. What is those was a high scoring game and the other one wasn't. Yo, the nuggets shot 13 to 23 from the free throw line. But the most college hoop slide ever, this game was absolutely like an NCAA play in game. It was a real national championship was a friend we made along the way of the NBA final. So, Congress. And what happened to
Starting point is 00:23:31 Jimmy Butler, man, he was, he was a person that's a lot of time, all time bad game man. Like to be fair, but it James Harden has that game. We kill him, right? Like, yes, but, but Zach, then he almost totally redeemed himself at the end
Starting point is 00:23:47 He hit a couple of threes. He got the three three throws. He hit that jump shot And I'm like is this MF we're gonna do it again Ball don't mind me just like game turn over at the end. Don't like dude, you know, thank you for saying that Ball don't lie. They didn't deserve a win. They did not deserve a win at the same time I can honestly say, they squeezed every last drop out of this roster. Like, I cannot imagine anything they could have done more. They're just not good enough.
Starting point is 00:24:14 That's all it is. By the way, here's a Christian Brown set for you guys, Christian Brown. As you mentioned, wins an NBA title of the year after winning NCAA Championship joining one two three four players for other players. Can you name the four players as little Tom Serbia name the four players who won an NCAA title and then won an NBA title right after not you because I know you won't know it. I don't
Starting point is 00:24:38 be that cheating class. I can't but is Judy going to a wedding or something with the tux is this a Judy asking if you're going to a wedding with that Who at home who say it wet now? I know my car down bit bread don't make me do it. Oh My bitch he the motherfucking again, that's the fuck go Oh There he goes no one and only did he's dressed like he's got a date with Betty white Yo, he did mention China town earlier. Let's see if he's going there Does anyone want to venture again. There's one one. There's one guess that everyone should get this My first or two actually no There's two that are really super obvious super magic magic Johnson magic is one who's the other super obvious one
Starting point is 00:25:39 He's a cream. Charlotte said no. This is what what's that? Donty Diven Chensor. Oh, oh I He's a cream. Charlotte should know this is what's- Donnie DeVincienzel? Oh, oh. No. I don't know. I don't know this because you're a fan of this team. I know it's a Celtic, but I can't, I'm blanking. It's pretty fucking obvious. Wow. Who's the most dominant Celtic ever? Larry Bird?
Starting point is 00:25:58 The wow. Bill Russell. Two Americans, Bill Russell. Bill Russell, ladies and gentlemen. It's just because I have a Larry Bird Power Forward shirt I mean. It keeps coming back. The other two, yeah, she has a shirt that says
Starting point is 00:26:11 Larry Bird Power Forward. And I think it's double on time, but I'm not sure. The other two names, Jenna. We got magic. We got Bill Russell. Yes, now Jenna, it was hopping up and down. Do you know the other two names? Yes, but those were the two I had on my mind so like
Starting point is 00:26:30 This is what I'm gonna say Is a hint one of these guys had a song you could draw this out longer? Yeah, I mean all right. Oh fuck you then. It's Harry bibby. I was I thought we're gonna have a little fun with this No, and Billy Thompson. Good news Mo if Zach would just allow it Yeah, there was no conversation
Starting point is 00:27:02 No, that was stories about Henry Bibibby that we can put on air. I do. Kevin McCall be saying Tim Duncan just hurts my soul. Te atreves a ver. Dan Levatart! ¡We are crazed right now! He's the 14th of July. Te atreves a ver. Don Lebatard.
Starting point is 00:28:06 We are crazed right now. You are a vet in prison. What are you guys? You gots his alive. I'm not saying. He's been keeping this act over there. Jats has been writing the entire time about the Miami Heat.
Starting point is 00:28:17 And a mean here is getting buried by heat nation. He's been telling you, he's been keeping it. You're praising Struce. He was all for nice. He's kidding. What is that? What are we doing? Struce goes to the cup. He's looking to your racing screws. He was all for nice. He's kidding. What is that? What are we doing? When screws go to the cup, he's looking to lay it up. He's not looking to turn it over like Duncan Robinson is.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Duncan Robinson is a coward. Listen, listen. He is a coward. Stugats. Chris? A coward. And bam can be bam in DC. I am dumb with him. And Kyle Lowry's one of the worst postseason players in the history of the NBA. This is Dan Lebathar show with his two gods
Starting point is 00:28:53 By the way teams that are leading three one in the finals are now 36 and one all-time 19 of them have clinched in game five Cavaliers with the one. You're gonna make us name the other 19. I'm just saying, I'm just saying, well, first of all, you're math fucking sucks. Let's start there. Second of all. He's so mad he didn't get to tease out nine more minutes of Henry.
Starting point is 00:29:22 And then someone he has no idea who would have. Hey, we've gone off the rails. You know what, you guys? I mean, he's here. He's doing the work. He's coming up with topics for us to talk about. What work? What work? Janet, stop.
Starting point is 00:29:35 It's the owner. That's Eddie Johnson right there. That's my producer, my Garvey right there. I'm about to leave you all in a second and go downstairs and actually interview some champs, as much as the talk to you losers. That's right. And then I'm going in the airport and I'm flying on leave y'all in a second and go downstairs and actually interview some champs as much of talk to you losers That's right, okay, I'm going in the airport and I'm flying on a red eye and I'll be in Miami tomorrow morning Brighton early to deal with Dan asking me a long question at the end of the words as soon as that answer
Starting point is 00:29:56 He sends me to the penalty box that's twenty bucks Twenty bucks says it means late to work Are you are you taking credit for work you haven't done yet? Oh, and that'll be late too. So it means late to work because it means flying the plane apparently. I mean, the one driving. Oh, yeah, that's a great, great.
Starting point is 00:30:13 What time's the red I get in? What time's the red I get in? Hold on, hold on. Are you OK? No, he's not. I'm not. This is not. No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Incredibly upset. No, but like even no like hey Take a breath dude like come on man. I don't need to do it. I just went on I can well you know what because my ran is because she said I mean doesn't work and you guys are like Well work as you sit in your little real we all work with you No, you don't you know you're sitting in your house room. We all work with you. No, you don't. You don't. You're sitting in your house and your dog barks 100 times a day. That's what you do. You talk. That's almost how many times your Instagram videos are interrupted podcast. This is great. What
Starting point is 00:30:55 podcast? What? Showing up about you to say me. What? I said, I don't know enough about you. Yeah. But I'm angry about something. Yes. But I still don't know enough about you being a but I'm angry about something, yes. But I still don't have enough of a big enough sample size. Someone said that I look like I'm about to get attacked by two house cats and I don't even know what that means, but I thought I would toss it out into the- They're not wrong. You look like you would have a couple of cats, it's really the- And that they're like particularly containers
Starting point is 00:31:25 Like I keep waiting for one behind that plant to like cats Just one is it just the fact that I wear glasses now like people like wear books dealer cats like it is this better? No, no, no, no, you're outfit for the rare books deal her what's the deal like that one sealed it the I don't know about the the Cat thing just I don't know just vibe But oh I don't know about the the the cat thing just I don't know just vibe Mo I can't believe you're driving like that we don't got them glasses on your face Hey, you tell my from a dreadful mother fucking wind bitch. I can't do a funeral. Hey, you tell my Words to us to funeral?
Starting point is 00:32:05 KCP 7.5 K-L-Maw 9.5 Man, screw street rebounds Tell them last one What was the last Marley? You hit the parlay right? There you go Did he say screws?
Starting point is 00:32:20 Yeah, I think so It's like screw burries But yeah Microport of June and a half rebounds we out here And by the way, juju juju was adamant three game that Taylor be nowhere near his parlay that was It's We're picking up Should we talk a little bit about Mark, uh, should we talk a little bit about Michael Porter Jr's game? Cause I thought that was a roller coaster man. That was, you know, but even though he shot poorly and stuff, he was everywhere on the court. Like he
Starting point is 00:32:53 was giving a ton of effort that for all the complaints that we had for him after in the early part of this series. Like I thought he did a great job just sort of being active. I mean, honestly, none of that none of that matter because he pulled off that move in transition where he went back around the corner of his legs. And he could have thrown the ball into the stands after that move. I would have been happy. That was such a great play.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Beautiful move. Beautiful move. But I thought this was a nice moment for him. Like I felt like this was a big game in essence. And Jenna was talking about, as he was missing shots, there was a point where she thought second embarrassment, like he just kept taking three to keep missing them. And I would say to you, I said, he's going to make one in the fourth quarter that everyone's going to remember forever. Can you give her a second to answer your question?
Starting point is 00:33:37 Yeah, what if you gave her the microphone when you just yelled about Dan not doing it and then you basically did the same to her. He did say that. I don't know what else I could say since he already answered it. But it was the third quarter. You nodded and you stared at me with this blank stare of like, I have no idea what you're talking about. Yeah, right now you're like, I don't know. You just everyone. You know what?
Starting point is 00:33:57 All of you guys. I'm putting cases on every. I'm putting cases on it. I'm not. I'm lasting. Nature is happening right now. This is going to. You want to hear my bet that lost?
Starting point is 00:34:08 Do you guys want to hear my parlay that lost? I do. This series has not been good for my betting. Well, it's like a 12-3 bet. You got it. Jiching. That hit. Jimmy Butler.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Six assists. He finishes with five. Oh, that's a tough one. Jamal Murray, eight plus assists assists that hits bam out of bio over 18 and a half points Amin did not think that was gonna hit 14 points in the first quarter I think at zero in the second quarter. So we were a little bit scared Nikolayokitch over 28 and a half points finishes with 28 exactly kill me. Oh, man Bam out of bio over eight and a half rebounds. Oh, bam to care of business, Jamal to care of business
Starting point is 00:34:53 Nicola mostly did Jimmy one more assist that assist was the fastest truce in the corner for the three. That was it right there Mm-hmm. What are you gonna do? So it was Aaron Gordon. Nothing. I asked you that. Yeah, what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do? What are you gonna do?
Starting point is 00:35:12 That was like one of my error of uncles. Like that's a, what are you gonna do? Hey, that's tough to say. Hey, that's tough to say. Tough to say. This is why we need referee press conferences after the game, because I wanted to hear the reps explain that Jimmy Butler three point foul.
Starting point is 00:35:32 So here's what I, here's what I think, right, is that they're saying because Gordon was coming across the plane. And it is, when you shoot fading that way, it is a little natural to kick your legs out, but still like the contact was so incidental. Like that should have been a no call. They should have been an ass. All the physical violence that went unwhistled the entire game where they are just. Oh, seriously? They played physical the whole series on that note, Tom. Twice tonight,
Starting point is 00:35:59 Bam out of bio got under Yokitsya skin. Yokuch reacted with a very violent windback. And I was livid that BAM had zero gamesmanship of you supposed to sell it. Yeah. Like a gravity face and all that stuff. I thought those are two opportunities that at least get an extra ball of Yokeuch at most, maybe a technical or even an ejection because he did it twice He was irritated with all the shenanigans of bandwidth doing and instead Bam just kind of shrugged and looked at revs who weren't looking at him cuz they're running up the court guys We have break a breaking tweet from Trayon. Oh, oh, and I quote we maxed exclamation point ring emoji trophy emoji
Starting point is 00:36:46 We what? We who? Who? Like what's right? I don't know what he's going to be on. Yeah. Next to what? It's a great question.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Maybe you say there are games or bird emojis? There's a ring. There's a there's a ring emoji and a trophy emoji. Okay. We need to do some detective work. Yeah. Yeah. Not a lot of people co-signing this on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Shocking. I thought for sure he was going to congratulate his buddy from AAU ball, MPJ, with the shot terrible, but no. Oh, you thought Trey Young was going to make an assist on a play that would actually, that wouldn't help him like you thought that was going to be something. He did 20 minutes ago, T ago tweet Denver deserved it this year congrats to them period exclamation point We'll be right back period that's such a great way to jinx yourself I mean first of all, it's not gonna happen anyway, but like right even if they if it if it if it with the worst shot
Starting point is 00:37:40 Then he just he just threw it away. You can. Another jinx for that is being on the Hawks. That's what I mean. Like, yeah. Even if he, even if the Hawks had a chance, then he just, they didn't. Yeah. No, but you're right. That is, that's a tough one. I think everyone should start tweeting that though, right? Should all NBA players start doing that? We next, we next. Ring emoji. One of them's gonna be emoji. Right Right, yeah, someone gets it right, and we're always like, wow, that person. Every team, every team account should do it. Jamal Murray's tweet, we next, right now.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Oh my god. Yeah, it should tweet that and everyone's like, yeah, what team is he gonna be on for number 14? No one knows. You know, we know the fish. I do feel bad for though. Is you don't. Yeah, if if anyone on that team,
Starting point is 00:38:30 if I wanted them to win for anyone, it was for you. So shout out. I want them to win. I want them to win the opera. Four years. It was got all the cool dresses on the sideline in Miami. She deserved to ring this here. That's right. Yeah. That's not easy to do. No, I think you know what? We're never going to get the Bernie. No, I mean, look, the whole Bernie will be back next game. We all
Starting point is 00:38:59 knew that game was happening. Right? You say you look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me.
Starting point is 00:39:12 You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me.
Starting point is 00:39:20 You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. You look at me. I think it's a legal ploy. So what's the smart one? Yeah, no, I mean, if it gets you, you know, a little, a little check there, I think it's fine. Any chances to Conor McGregor. Yeah, nobody's ever gonna know. Just nobody's ever gonna know if he was like,
Starting point is 00:39:32 he's just laying down there like, I'm five, but they're just dragging him away. I just, I just don't buy that. I don't buy any of that. Should we talk a little more about that? Next week's basketball illuminati, I got this. All right, so Jenna is back here and she is Somewhere closer. No, she's same spot as before and you know
Starting point is 00:39:55 There we go. Yes Oh, I got a lot of toward here. I'm working with him. Is the meme working harder hardly working? We will find out where is I mean he's not coming back So there's a meme working hard or hardly working. We will find out where is on the union is not coming back I think we'll be fine Someone who's done radio with the meme when he fell asleep for the final segment you'll be fine I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it.
Starting point is 00:40:32 I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I'm not going to be able to do it. I guess I can't prove that he was asleep. Just like we can't prove if the basket was knocked out or he's trying to fool it up.
Starting point is 00:40:49 I just don't think he was. What else stood out from this game, though? Honestly, I think for me, just how bad Jimmy was, that really wasn't all time bad. He almost redeemed it, I guess, with a flurry at the end. But if he plays any kind of decent basketball, Miami is in the driver's seat for way longer. And maybe they weathered it.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Maybe Denver still comes back and wins. But I think there's a bigger cushion there to weather that storm. And Jimmy was just awful. Yeah, I mean, he had eight points on 15 true shots at one point. Just, a lot of it wasn't just the shots that he missed a lot of it guys was the shots he didn't take where it was he was hesitating he had open looks and he was overpassing a little bit and it just seemed like he wasn't engaged or didn't have his legs underneath him. It looked like it was. Yeah, it looked like I mean I don't know how they're standing
Starting point is 00:41:45 at the end of these games I mean the altitude and the fact that it was back and forth are throwing the ball away left and right and for Jimmy Butler to muster up that energy to hit those two three pointers and they get the three shot foul it was I didn't
Starting point is 00:41:58 think he had anything left and I thought it was another like Jimmy Butler just rise from the dead and just rip the hearts out of the opponent and he almost pulled it off, but they had such a hole. They did dig themselves out of such a hole because Jimmy just wasn't himself. What if they would have they still lose the game by two? What if like Denver hits a game winner, but when they're down three and they and they call time out and they bring the ball out after those free throws, what if Spowe had inserted Tyler hero
Starting point is 00:42:23 for one play in the series? He hits the three to tie it and then like takes him out. Denver wins it on a game winner anyway. And then like, what do we do with that? It's the same story. No, no, no, we get to talk about the genius one Tyler hero moment, right? We have one minute of Zeller what was the exact opposite here? In my head exact when you said that I picture hero in the game with the bucket hat on. Like just off the bench hat off
Starting point is 00:42:55 like just dress like a sims character. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just I'm so sad we didn't get us through the arena right now. This is great. Yeah, we're getting we're getting a whole tour. Are we gonna get the champagne? We're gonna...
Starting point is 00:43:08 Oh, I hope so. I will be blocking bottles for sure, popping them all night with Juju, we already planned that, but... You can hang it out with the mean and it's already been corrupted. It's bigger. Juju crowdsets? Wait, we need one more. We're gonna hold on, of course, I said. I Q.J. crowds hurt? What? Wait, we need more. We're told on the first.
Starting point is 00:43:28 I love this dude. We need more on that story. We need that whole story. We can't have just say he crowds hurt. Who said that he crowds hurt? Who said who was it? Thomas said that he crowds hurt. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:43 We're definitely not a threat to Jordan. No. What I love is that Juju is going to hold that against Mo for him. That's fine. Yeah. I love him. Juju looks amazing. He looks amazing.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Yeah. He looks amazing. Juju always looks better than all of us. I mean, everything he dresses like he's coming. He's not fucking around. He's not fucking around. I just never knew anybody more to see. So what do you got here?
Starting point is 00:44:15 He literally was allowed onto the court even though he's not supposed to be on the court. He was allowed onto the court for like 20 minutes before anybody thought to check his credential and make sure he was a sickest man. Like that Clay Thompson impersonator who got to take some shots on the Warriors Court that one time. You know, that's the lesson though of life is if you just act like you belong somewhere
Starting point is 00:44:36 and you walk in confidently enough, they don't kick you out. It's true. And you just got in spades like that confidence level the way he walks around. It's amazing. I love it We got more basketball the time. Oh, I see I thought when you hit us with the arm I thought you had something to do and you just I did and then forgot and then I got it Kevin love rim protector. How about that? Oh, yeah How about that Kevin love block shots?
Starting point is 00:45:03 protector. How about that? Oh yeah. How about that? Big time Kevin Love block shots. A couple of blocks in the early stage. A couple of threes. They're themselves another year in the NBA. Well, one three. Yeah. Was it just one it felt like two? Yeah. It did feel like two. But yeah, just the one. But those how about that Bruce Brown offensive rebound though? Like I thought when Lowry got it and then it turned into a I'm not going to be a big big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to be a big moment. I'm not going to Yeah, somewhere in that range, three years. Great role player on a championship team. Brown, I want to say 27.
Starting point is 00:45:49 I might have just made that up. Bruce Brown, for me, feels like he's 26, but he feels like an old soul. Like, if you told me Bruce Brown was 34, I'd be like, yeah, for sure. What I meant is by the time next season starts, he'll be 27. And that's what it meant. Yeah, we all do that. Yeah. So I feel like, I feel like is by the time next season starts he'll be 27 and that's what it meant. Yeah, we all do that.
Starting point is 00:46:12 So I feel like I feel like Mo we can boil it down to Denver Nuggets. Didn't hit any shots. They turned the ball over a ton. They had a ton of foul trouble. Where did the heat give up this game? Like like Jimmy Butler, just putting Jimmy Butler aside tactically, was there anything the heat we're doing that was not getting the results they need or was it just a results over process loss? No, I just think at the end of the day, it's just talent. They're short on talent with these guys. The role players weren't hitting shots. Like, look at it. Struces one for six, gave Vincent 0 for four from three. These are like, these were guys that made major shots,
Starting point is 00:46:47 Caleb Martin, O for four from three. How important were those guys throughout the entire Eastern Conference run? Like we were amazed with the things that they were doing and the shots they were making and everything that they did and it really carried them. And I felt like they kind of came down to Earth here a little bit. And I think that's ultimately what did them in you know like it's the nuggets are just
Starting point is 00:47:09 had so much talent where like Zach was saying earlier like maybe if Jimmy has an average game they still overcome it just because they had such a talent advantage and and it quote a very smart person Charlotte Wilder the nuggets are big boys and the Miami Heat were fifths weeks. Like it's, you know, in terms of size and they got crushed on the boards. Thanks, Mel. Yeah, the fact that they won a game in which they shot 17% from the three-point land
Starting point is 00:47:38 and 56% from the free throw line is absurd. They also, they played their best defense in the final three games of the series. Like their best defense all season, right? Like they like they turned it the fuck up on defense in denying good three point looks. They gave up some some better three point looks tonight that Miami did just didn't hit,
Starting point is 00:47:56 but that's the best defense we've seen from Denver since like the de Kembe teams, right? Like that was legitimately championship level, great defense by the team. It wasn't just one guy doing it, like they just played great, connected defense. Is there anything that you guys can think of that NBA teams are gonna try to copycat what we saw
Starting point is 00:48:17 from the Denver Nuggets this year, you know, with the three point shooting barrage of the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry and for whatever you wanna say about Ghonis. Is there anything this year that you can pick? Okay, teams are gonna try to do what Denver did. Besides just the continuity of keeping your roster together. So our buddy Rohan Ned Karney at SI wrote,
Starting point is 00:48:43 he tweeted something that he written in in 2018 maybe a Michael Malone talking about how they were gonna do this the hard way how they knew they weren't there yet But they were just gonna play the best teams they could and keep getting better and they knew they had to build and I wonder if teams are gonna see that and think about that slower deliberate approach I don't know that owners and fan bases are gonna have that and think about that slower, deliberate approach. I don't know that owners and fan bases are gonna have the runway for that to give coaches the time to do that,
Starting point is 00:49:12 but the fact that Yokech did this without, you know, another truly massive superstar is maybe something that teams are gonna think is more possible if they have a guy hold around. I don't know if teams are going to be paid. I think there are like five organizations that are built to be patient and everyone else is just like too impulsive. I think it's a great idea.
Starting point is 00:49:36 I think what you're talking about. I guess what I'm saying is what they should take over. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. You look at these two teams in the finals, right? That is stability. That is continuity. That is we are going to ride with our coach
Starting point is 00:49:46 no matter the ups or the downs or whatever. And I mean, we see coaches of the year get fired that year, the next year. And I just, I don't think teams are, like you're talking about billionaires being patient. And I just don't think that that's the case. Like I think if anything, it's, so you're pointing after the first game.
Starting point is 00:50:04 I think size matters. I think you're going to see a lot of teams like try to be able to pace in space with size rather than. All right. Now we got four guards on the court. The nuggets were able to do this with being bigger than the other. I mean, every time they heat had a Lowry Vincent lineup on the court, Denver just punished them because you've two six footers out there, and there's just only so much you can do defensively. And I think of anything that will be the takeaway. Like Calvin Booth, you know, Calvin Booth and Michael Malone saying, all right, let's be bigger than everybody. And they work. And I think you're going to see a lot of teams load up on big guys now again. Right? Like we got in load, we got to get ready for Yokecitch,
Starting point is 00:50:42 especially in the Western Conference. Like we can't be a small team. we got to make sure we have at least two guys that we could put out there and put on Yoke it to be able to to slow them down somewhat or nobody's gonna stop him but I think that's gonna be something you're gonna say it wouldn't shock me if this leads to Dwight Howard back in the league Big shoulder joint it really wouldn't it really wouldn't if he ends up back in the league. It's a big shoulder joint. It really wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:51:07 It really wouldn't. If he ends up back in the league just based on the fact of like we need another big body and he did all right against him in the bubble. So let's give him a shot. Charlotte, Charlotte, are you impressed as I am about Jenna's ability to hold up the phone while holding up the mic? This is an all time performance. I have been marveling at that. You're doing like a workout.
Starting point is 00:51:29 A whole lot of kids. You can hear it, which is great. I mean, she's holding up the, oh, you do. I can hear you. We can't hear you through the mic, but we can hear you through the phone. Yeah, the microphone isn't working, but we're here.
Starting point is 00:51:42 It's the finals. We're gonna figure out the finals coverage. Just's the finals. We're going to figure out the finals coverage. Just stay with us. We're going to get there. We got all night. Yeah, we did. We're figuring it out after game five, the post game celebration that the nuggets are winning.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Their champagne is showered. We're not even there. A means left. Juju's left. And we are trying to figure out the microphone there. We're good. There's a tray. Juju's left, and we are trying to figure out the microphone there. We're good there. I tried, Juju! Thank you!
Starting point is 00:52:07 I love you, Juju! I love you, Juju! I love you, Juju! I love you, Juju! I love you, Juju! I love you, Juju! I love you, Juju! Thank you!
Starting point is 00:52:15 But you look great! You look great! You look amazing! Is that a Swade jacket? Is that Swade? Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don Swade don't don't don't say anything. He gets mad guys It looks amazing looks amazing Wow, I love it. I love it. No, I think you look amazing. I think you look amazing. They sure cut.
Starting point is 00:52:47 I love it. That hurts even more early. That hurts even more early. I was saying it looked great. That's all. I've never seen anybody wear the tuxedo to a game. I hear Jamal chance. Is Jamal Marie somewhere?
Starting point is 00:53:03 Who's out there? Who's on the court? Let me ask you guys, have you guys ever been on the court for the finals, like when the team won the championship? Like what's your experience? I've never been. Of course, I never won one. I was with the Clippers for most of the time. And it's a lot of like players coming back and forth
Starting point is 00:53:21 with their family drenched in champagne, doing media hits, media people standing around awkwardly, not you, Jenna, you're doing a great job. This is a tough task to have your two co-pilots leave on you. And for you not to have a working mic, we apologize for that. But it looks like Aaron Gordon's in the background talking to EJ and it's tough, it's tough. I remember we at ESPN we were like in the middle of a hit when the Warriors won the championship, the first championship in 2015 and Amin just straight up left to go party with the Warriors.
Starting point is 00:53:59 He just left in the middle of the segment. Those are all my guys over there. Barbosa, Alvin, Gentry, Kerr, I gotta go. And he went to celebrate. I mean, I don't blame him. I didn't blame him. I didn't blame the trenches with him. Well, I was gonna ask here one of the warriors won in Boston. And it's a really wild experience because it's this huge high and you're on this roller coaster and then you come down and you win and then it's like oddly...
Starting point is 00:54:33 it's sort of like what do we do now? And like fans are standing around and there's sort of a balloonlated, even though it's like a really good, exciting thing. And I think there's also like a lot of exhaustion. I think people are like, oh my God, we did it. You know, across the board. What do you think the seeds like in Serbia? What it's gonna be like today? I'm wondering if Yokech is even going to go to the parade.
Starting point is 00:54:59 The parade just doesn't seem like a Yokech thing. Do you think it's just going back to Serbia? I think the nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped.
Starting point is 00:55:14 The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped.
Starting point is 00:55:22 The Nuggets should pay to have the horses and the buggy shipped. The Nuggets should up and basketball is a job and he does it and then he goes home. It's sort of refreshing. It's tough for the league. They can't market that. They have to figure out a way to market that. A guy who doesn't care about the history of the game, doesn't care about the legacy, all the stuff that that LeBron does
Starting point is 00:55:46 care about LeBron. LeBron would be on his Instagram posting strive for greatness 17 times by the time. Can't believe this is my life. Yeah, right, right, right. And you know, Kevin, Kevin, can you be as a phone? Do you think he has a phone? I got a phone. Flip phone, flip phone, flip phone, for sure. Maybe the razor. I know Dan's never had one,
Starting point is 00:56:06 but I'm sure, you know, that's what he's rolling with now. But I just think that to your question, Tom, or just like marketing him, you know what? Just market his game. Just focus on the game. Forget the fact his personality. Wait, I'm never gonna get it. You show him on the horse a little bit,
Starting point is 00:56:22 show him winning the awards and things like that, but just focus on his game. If he's not gonna help you market. But I don't know. I think there's something so marketable about a dude who, I don't, maybe this just speaks to who I am, that I'm like, I love it. He's like, he's got a healthy work life balance.
Starting point is 00:56:39 Like, what have searched for my entire life? You got him on the com app or headspace. Yeah, I love it. I love it. I think it's so great to just have someone who's matter of fact about it. I mean, maybe it's just because I think it's sort of funny too. And I guess he wants something flashier
Starting point is 00:56:59 if you're gonna make him, I mean, he's not gonna do commercials. Is he gonna do commercials? Like, what do we think? You have's not going to do commercials. Is he going to do commercials? Like, you have to trick him. You have to trick him into the commercials. Like, you have to like just, oh, there's cameras here. Oh, wait a minute. HB did a really good job with Kauai.
Starting point is 00:57:14 And because he didn't talk, they use that as a funny, like marketing gimmick. So if HB can do it with Kauai, I feel like the NBA has material here. New balance to Tom. Boy, man gets paid the shirts. Mm hmm. All right. So you'll get you got the finals MVP. Yes.
Starting point is 00:57:33 Yeah. He's got two MVP's. I'll reiterate it. Only nine players all time who have two two MVP's a finals MVP through their age 27 season did not make the all 76 team as Zach pointed out it was not 75. It was actually 76. And he's he's the best player on the planet and arguably has been for a long time. But because of the way he plays and because he hadn't gone to the NBA finals yet, we weren't ready to annoy them. I think that era is over. Have you seen him celebrating in the locker room?
Starting point is 00:58:06 Yeah, it's just like a limp. But it's the worst. It's just a, eh, like, he, surely, you're right. He really just wants to go home. Well, I get it. I have a flight book tonight. Like, what's, is he going to be on like a red eye? Like, I mean, like, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:58:20 Yeah, like, I'm not, I'm not a big part of you. And I can see it's like, you go in, you get the job, and you're like, great, I can go home. Like, amazing. I like that. Like, when the clock strikes midnight, you're like, all right, I'm already in the car. Yeah, I'm like, oh, I have been gone for an hour.
Starting point is 00:58:37 I'm done. I'm done. Just a while, like just, I don't know, you've worked all year for this. I know, I know, I know. It was a little weird right after the buzzer. He's just like standing there by himself. Like it wasn't like a big pylon or big hugs
Starting point is 00:58:53 from everybody. He was just kind of alone. Like he wasn't all stir draft. Like congratulating the heat and then looking very serious. He wasn't, yeah. I respect that part. Like, all right, congratulations everybody. This, that, don't think of sell even give
Starting point is 00:59:06 a at least give us strong enough shake with a champagne bottle splashes right more like he's just spilling it by accident like it's frustrating for me. So I great man. I get that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Look alive. Are is he as we're hitting 60 minutes here on the post game show, thank you Charlotte. Thank you, Mo. We'll be doing this again next year or something. Maybe we'll all be there instead of being on a zoom. But hey, thanks for joining us on the post game show. Check out the main Levitard feed tomorrow. A mean will be there apparently flying on an overnight red eye to be there in studio. What's the draft King on his on him being on time can't wait. Sure.
Starting point is 00:59:52 While there. Thank you. No, yeah, whatever. We just we landed the plane. No, we landed the plane, Tom. We landed the plane. Thank you. We did it.
Starting point is 01:00:04 It's Smith champion. We out. Tom, we landed the plane. Thank you. We did it. Smith champion. We out.
