Starting point is 00:00:00 Dana Lash's absurd truth podcast, sponsored by Keltec. It's his life mission to make bad decisions. It's time for Florida Man. Oh, I cannot. I really want to. Oh, this one headline, the story's so good. And I can't say any of these things. Okay, so let me just do.
Starting point is 00:00:26 How do I do this? This is Florida Woman, Florida Man story. harassing a Florida woman, or no, sorry, Florida woman was harassing a man on Valentine's Day, Florida woman, Florida man. She was arrested because she used 100 different phone numbers to harass this guy. It was a prolonged campaign of harassment. And according to Coconut Creek Police, the victim walked into the station lobby to report ongoing harassment that's been happening since January of last year. And the victim said that, because she is dating a guy, apparently that the Florida woman had dated.
Starting point is 00:01:04 And so she was calling this woman texting her from 75 to 100 different numbers. And I can't even say what, I can't even say any of this, actually. You can just imagine the different adjectives for a lady of the night and copulatory organs. It's a combination of the two. And in fact, there are some that I've never even heard of before. And I'm like, that's new for me to not be familiar with an insult. So I learned something from this story. Anyway, they were able to trace all of the numbers.
Starting point is 00:01:42 How do you have, how do you have like 70 different numbers? And how can I do that and use it against all of the people who solicit campaign donations in text? Would love to be able to use that to them. I signed them up for cat tweets or cat texts. I'm not even kidding. So she did, she was arrested on Valentine's Day. And she's now in the Broward County main jail. She posted $5,000 bond.
Starting point is 00:02:12 That's insane. Like hundreds upon hundreds of texts and messages. Sometimes it would be 100 a day. That is wild. I've never, I mean, that's, you, that's dedication to trolling a love rival. I have not seen that kind of dedication, right, since that Joey Butterfouca thing. Isn't that right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:33 All right. So moving on, this Florida man, oh, he was accused of setting his car on fire with his wife inside. This was in Florida, well, Florida man. He's being accused of intentionally setting a car on fire as his wife sat inside. neighbors woke up at 6 a.m. to an explosion. And he was setting his car on fire. His wife was in the passenger seat.
Starting point is 00:03:04 She was burned beyond recognition. They got no dispute. She tried to leave the vehicle and couldn't. So he is in major trouble. Murder and arson. We can't do it without the people who help make it possible. People like Keltec, the PR 57, which is their new rotary barrel pistol chambered in 5-7.
Starting point is 00:03:19 And if you don't have it, you need to get it. Now, I haven't fired it yet, but I've handled it. This thing is the lightest 5-7. I've ever held in my life. And I've always wanted to conceal carry or just carry a 5-7. You know, in my mind, I'm huge, but in reality, not so much. So it's a little bit harder for us ladies. But with this, you actually can because it's the lightest one on the market.
Starting point is 00:03:39 It's 40% lighter than the next lightest 5-7. Super slim profile. And they accomplished this, not just with the innovative rotary barrel that makes it super light, but the unique top loading design, which replaces traditional magazines with stripper clips. You have a slimmer profile. You have a 20 plus one capacity, which is awesome. The MSRP folks is only 399. Come on, you can definitely get this.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I mean, we got Mothers and Father's Day coming up, just FYI, and St. Patty's Day, too. You know, I mean, I'm just like using all, pulling out all the stops, you know. Why can't we give guns for St. Patty's Day? I'm just saying. So make sure you check it out the first of its kind, Keltech, PR 57, Rotary Barrel Pistol, chambered in 57. Visit Keltecweapons.com to learn more innovation performance Keltec, KELTECWeapons.com. Tell them Dana sent you.
Starting point is 00:04:28 also related to, this is a Republican thing, but I read the story and I thought, oh, so this has to do with the NYU New York University Republicans. There was a collegian, her name's Kea Walker. She's an undergrad pursuing a BA in international relations in French. And she was the head, was the head of NYU's college Republicans. So Vanity Fair was doing a story, which I think is pretty intrusive. They were doing a story on Baron Trump's life at NYU. And they were, I don't know, I'm always suspicious of media. And apparently, I mean, clearly they didn't talk to him and he didn't participate in it, nor did it his family. But the girl had said, when she was talking to Vanity Fair and she was describing him, she said, well, he's, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:26 kind of like an oddity on campus. You know, he goes to class and then he, you know, goes back to, goes back to his room or goes back to his dorm or wherever he's staying. And so that's what she was, she was having this conversation with Vanity Fair and that's what she said. And then College Republicans of America got mad and they were raging at her and she submitted her resignation over the weekend. I think the college Republicans of America had a post on social media where they stated that while they felt vanity fair unfairly framed her, her words do not align with the values and principles upheld by our organization. She said everything she said was taken out of context and she's sympathetic to Baron Trump. And I really feel like I can't take Republicans seriously when they bitch about the media. and then if they read one thing
Starting point is 00:06:19 that tickles their confirmation bias, they immediately believe everything that they read as is presented. And I feel like the College Republicans of America with the statement are guilty of that. I get what she's saying. It doesn't sound like she was trying to be insulting to him at any, at all.
Starting point is 00:06:36 When she said that he's like an oddity on campus, she wasn't saying that he's odd. She's talking about how wild it is that the son of the president of the United States is that they're calling. campus and that is odd because that's usually I mean think about how wild that is for you as a collegian and especially if you're ahead of a republican group and you're going to school with someone whose dad is out of the party that's a wild thing for college kids and she's just like talking to
Starting point is 00:07:05 she's a college because she's an undergrad for crying out loud I think that she was treated way harshly I I don't I don't think it was Republican or MAGA to have treated her that way. Really don't. And especially to immediately buy hook line and sinker how the media, this is why you always, by the way, record when you're talking to the media. And maybe she, hopefully she learns that lesson. But she had said that everybody watches him like he's, you know, they like follow him like he's, like watch him like he's a zoo animal. It sounds like she's sympathetic to him and not antagonistic towards him. I mean, you do have to, you have to think he's 18 years old and he's on a college campus. And he's got a secret service with him.
Starting point is 00:07:49 That's tough to navigate. And your first year of college is always like the hardest. That's a really tough thing to navigate as a young collegian. And she is getting, she got death threats on social media and all kinds of stuff. And I just, it's like really unfortunate because. And from what the quotes, they didn't actually quote her like a whole conversation. They just took like bits and pieces of what. she said and then presented it that way. And I thought that's really unfair. Because when you put all of
Starting point is 00:08:20 her remarks together, it sounds like she's very sympathetic towards him. And like this, you know, it's kind of, you know, when you're a freshman in college and, you know, your college experience, you have to be really kind of locked down because of security. Yeah, that's a, that's wild. So I think it's really unfair, the manner in which she was treated. And I think it's really hypocritical of people to bash the media and then turn around and then also believe everything that the media says. I mean, where's the benefit of the doubt for people who've been in the trenches with you like this girl apparently has? That's just sad. So now she had to quit.
Starting point is 00:08:52 She resigned and she's not working. They just lost a college Republican. That's so stupid because people are so overly sensitive and they don't, I want, I need people on the right to not victimize themselves in everything like the left does. Because you saw what that grew into and you saw voters revolt against that. Do not make those same mistakes in your question. for power because that's so stupid. I feel bad for her. And I feel like he seems like a nice young man.
Starting point is 00:09:23 I mean, he seems, you know, he's, he seems super sweet. He's really attentive to his mom and dad. You know, he's like, he's, you know, likes hanging out with his family. I mean, it's kind of hard when you're 18 years old going into college and, you know, your family is around with you all the time. And, you know, and you're, they do what they do. That can't be easy. And it seems like he was raised really well.
Starting point is 00:09:43 But it sounds like she was talking about him. Like she felt bad that that has to be, that has to be the shape of his college experience. And I just feel like people are being dramatic because they need attention. I don't know. That's unfortunate. But y'all lost a Republican in New York, of all places. You know, I didn't realize they were so rich in Republicans in New York that they could foment, you know, controversy where none exists.
Starting point is 00:10:07 That's incredibly unfortunate. Allfamilyfarmacy.com slash Dana. The code is Dana 10. Remember that. So all family pharmacy provides the prescriptions you need. And they have a doctor that signs off on the prescriptions. They can send everything out in like what, two to four days overnight too.
Starting point is 00:10:23 They can overnight it if you really need it. But they have customizable orders. They have emergency kits tailored to your needs and they support your medical independence. So I use them like, for instance, over Thanksgiving, I was getting serious sinusitis and it was turning into strep. And I'm like, I am hosting Thanksgiving. This is insane.
Starting point is 00:10:39 And I immediately was on all family pharmacy.com slash Dana. First time I did use Kodana 10, and I got my 10% discount off my entire order. But you can get, you know, they have tons of different medications. They even have Ivermectin, hydroxychloricin as well, tons of antibiotics, over 200 other essential medications. And I ordered what I needed, like a moxacin and xithromycin. And you know, again, medical professionals, doctors are like, this is, you know, how you take it. This is the, you know, the dosage, et cetera. But it's simple, fast, and affordable. No insurance, no problem. The pricing is straightforward. And, and, you know, And and it's all from the USA.
Starting point is 00:11:16 None of this stuff is input from China. It's not outsource. It's made in the USA so you can rest easy. Visit allfamilyfarmacy.com slash Dana for 10% off using promo code Dana. That's all family pharmacy.com slash Dana. Promocode Dana 10. That gets you 10% off. Don't wait.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Put your order in today. And now all of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick 5. All right. So first up, the, I don't even know. So this is, how do you say this? The Gillian Bar syndrome, Gilean. It's Guillaume. Guillaume. Guillaume. The cases rise to 207. This is in India. Is this in America? Why are they rising? Is it King? I mean, Vax injury? I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But they also said that the cases rise in a five-mile radius from I guess one place in India where it's their public, their district health department. I don't know. It's just a weird story and it's based in India.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Let's see. This Gun Save Lives, a mother Thank heaven she was armed. This is from central Illinois. A home invasion in Decatur. There was a mother of two, she ended up being shot. She was walking up to the sound of shattering glass and footsteps in her home. She was with her two young children,
Starting point is 00:12:49 two people invaded her home. They immediately started shooting at her. She was hit once in the arm, once in the hip. She shot back, and that saved her life. She was trying to protect her children. And after the intruders left, her boyfriend arrived, she was taken to the hospital. She wasn't in serious. She didn't have, she was shot twice, but the injuries were not serious. And she was able to come home. But then, later, that morning, officers were dispatched to a home for the report of a man having been shot.
Starting point is 00:13:16 A 24-year-old Deonté Stone, he was later interviewed at the hospital by a detective and apparently he was the one who forced his way into her home and that it was him. So they're in trouble.
Starting point is 00:13:31 He's been charged with home invasion. The other woman's been charged with, or the other person been charged with attempted murder, home invasion aggravated battery with a fire on. They're all booked in Macon County Jail. Guns of lies because if she had not been there to do that, who knows what would have happened. I mean, that's, that's just horrible. A, oh, wow, a theme park with real crocs.
Starting point is 00:13:51 A crocodile snatches a grandfather into his jaws and drags him into the water at a water park. So this is in Indonesia. They kept it at a local theme park and then people can make offerings. And an elderly man ended up getting, well, I mean, he got dragged into the water. They have 14 different types of crocodiles. They're standing right by the water, though. Like, if you know it's crock infested, you know how fast they can come out of the water. Why would you stand anywhere near it?
Starting point is 00:14:19 And there have been a number of crocodile attacks because in that particular part of the world, the rivers used for cooking and for bathing and for everything else. And so you're naturally bringing people into contact with that crazy predator. So, just wild. I mean, could have it. Thankfully, they were able to save him. And upstate New York town reports over 300 inches of snow. I cannot even imagine.
Starting point is 00:14:40 imagine. That's like my worst nightmare is all of that snow. The videos and photos of these people like digging out are pretty crazy. Everybody's, I mean, we've got, what is it? It's not a polar vortex, but it is like polar weather. That's, yeah. So they said that in other parts of New York, they've got three to four feet of snow. This is wild. And they said that in, let's see, northern New York, they were looking at 15 to 28 inches. Wow. I can't even imagine. That That's crazy. So we're not, it's just cold here. And then next week it's going to be 75. I can't deal anymore. The judiciary committee, what crimes it was that he was concerned about that caused him to plead the fifth.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Cash Patel, mark my words, will cause evil in this building behind us. And Republicans who vote for him will rue that day. So that's Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, who's talking about Cash Patel, who's expected to, has it, confirmation advances today. And he's saying that Cash Patel is going to cause evil in the building behind him. That's the same Senator Sheldon White House, who was literally part of an all-whites, a whites-only private beach club for decades, literally four decades. And you're like, well, Dana, that was probably like maybe in the 60s. I don't know how old.
Starting point is 00:16:07 No, it literally was 2021 when it was discovered. Yeah, I didn't even know that those things existed today still. Seriously? Yeah, he was confronted by a local reporter in Rhode Island, and they discussed this club that was part of what they said was the Spouting Rock Beach Association. And they said, apparently it's a club that has a racial rules. And White House replied when he was asked about it. He said, quote, it's a long tradition in Rhode Island, and there are many of them. I think we just need to work our way through the issues.
Starting point is 00:16:52 His wife was one of the three largest shareholders in the White's Only Club. Interesting. So. Oh, really? If him being asked that? Play it. Yeah, let's play it. I just want to hear how he defends that.
Starting point is 00:17:07 It would become more diverse. Now, your family's been members. your wife is one of the largest shareholders. Has there been any traction in that? Are there any minority members of the club now? I think the people who are running the place are still working on that. I'm sorry it hasn't happened yet. Not sorry enough for him to leave it.
Starting point is 00:17:25 So he's, you know why? Sheldon White House doesn't like Cash Patel because Cash Patel is a brown there. That's why he's a brown man. That's why. Well, no, that's literally it. I can't think of any other reason why he would. You know, he's an old white Democrat.
Starting point is 00:17:38 he's one of the he's a Marxist so of course he sees a minority who is not a Marxist oh my gosh you mean someone who could who's a free thinker thanks for themselves doesn't like deep state ooh danger danger like these people how does this guy still what are indictment on voters that you have this guy like that in that district in Rhode Island I mean that is a major indictment on on voters because these people are reflective of their the people who send them to D.C. I know that that's unpopular for politicians to say, but I'm not working about worrying about curry in favor
Starting point is 00:18:16 with voters of Shulton White House, so I don't care. Yeah, Bill Clinton also, the New York Times busted him in 1994, I think. That story came out when I was in high school because I was so shocked at hearing that there was so, I didn't even know that there was a whites only golf club. And why is it always golf clubs, by the way? Why is that? That's so weird to me.
Starting point is 00:18:40 Out of all the, it's just weird, you know? It's weird. Why? I don't know. But, yeah, Democrats have a major problem with that. So you had Bill Clinton who got busted when he was on the campaign trail by the New York Times for being a member of a whites-only golf club. And then you had Sheldon White House who just a couple of years ago gets busted. And he's very upset at Cash Patel.
Starting point is 00:19:02 because Cash Patel, he's a brown man, you know, and Sheldon White House, you know, you know, white only, white's only golf club member doesn't like that. I think that that's pretty accurate, by the way. Just, uh, wild. Thanks for tuning in to today's edition of Dana Lash's Absurd Truth Podcast.
