Starting point is 00:00:00 Your current set about this man. Well, let me be clear. We passed a map in Illinois that follows the Constitution, and that is not what Governor Abbott is trying to do in Texas. We believe that the people of Texas deserve to have fair representation and not to have the game changed in the middle of the decade. There already is litigation about the original map that they put in place. Now they want to change it again.
Starting point is 00:00:31 that no doubt will end up being litigated too, but let me be clear that they are attempting to cheat. And, you know, I think we all know Donald Trump is a cheater. So is the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton in so many ways. And we here in Illinois believe that we're, you know, what is, 2025. We've had elections now for, you know, the five years that this map has been in place. We want to continue to have those fair elections, and we're proud of the fact that Democrats do better than Republicans in those districts where they're hyper-competitive, frankly, and we won in virtually every one of those districts that was competitive. So why is he the guy who's nominated to do this? Why is he the one who's the guy who's out of all the people to send out there to talk about your dissatisfaction with redistricting?
Starting point is 00:01:28 why in the hell is it you know penguin from the batman that they're sending out there Danny you're so mean shut up it's true though why and the reason why I get real aggravated about Pritzker being out there is because have you seen I'm going to do this again you guys we've shown you that that map correct can we showed everybody the map didn't we we did the we we even played Illinois explorer explorer yeah we showed everybody that so the and your family for insight lives in Illinois. And it's super redistricted,
Starting point is 00:02:03 or gerrymandered, I should say, like to the nth degree. It's so bad. They, I've never really have quite seen anything like it before my life how bad it is. Because they have it to where it's like, connected by the highway.
Starting point is 00:02:20 I was looking at a little bit more in depth than this over the weekend. It's like connected by the highway. And then they, what highway is that? What am I thinking of? That's Highway 55 for a big portion of 55 heading north and then it branches off towards the east on Highway 70. I'm trying to figure out like why in the world they think it's acceptable to run a district by the highway or to like run it according because they have a corridor that goes all the way up and it's connected by that highway. The reasoning is
Starting point is 00:02:52 because you see those red areas there? Those are mostly rural. So the population low. Oh, we can't have them folk, because y'all know how them folk vote. Oh, they vote they wrote evil Republican. We got to fix that. You're jesting, but that's exactly how they're thinking, because along the highways here are where the most of the population actually will congregate. So because of that, they get their population numbers by gerrymandering their map to follow where the most populated areas are in these counties, therefore dominating the county without having to actually be in the county like that. Yeah, it's insane. It's absolutely insane. And I'm looking at this. I'm looking at this map. And it is like his is the most gerrymandered. And I'm going to get to
Starting point is 00:03:39 the Texas stuff. But I can't even like start without acknowledging the fact that it's so gerrymandered that state. That's why it is, it's like insulting for him to talk about it. Juan's showing you on that. So that strip that was in the middle. That's like Highway 55 and it goes through what like Collinsville and you go all the way. And then Cook County in Chicago, which Chicago, that's all the blue up top. Then you have Quincy, which is on the western side, which is actually still kind of rural. I'm like surprised that anybody there would like actually vote Democrat or whatever. So I mean, it's it's pretty something. It is something. And so they've had a special session on this if you're just joining us for. here in Texas. They called a special session in. And Democrats, what do they do every damn time? When did they last do this? They just did this again. Didn't Tennessee Democrats do it too, but Texas Democrats did it again. And they decide that their challenge was to run away. So they fled. They have a redistricting plan. It would create five new districts because that's just how it's working and Democrats walked out and left. And the Texas House Democrat caucus declared the special
Starting point is 00:05:03 session that the governor called to be over. They said that it's over. We're done. Because apparently they get to make that determination and nobody else does. I mean, good grief. Listen to this. You have, you have audio sound like 10. Listen to Kathy Hold. vocal on this. All these Democrat governors that have their own problems in their own cities. Listen to this. From my perspective, to refuse to stand up and fight for our democracy as we are joining in solidarity with our friends
Starting point is 00:05:33 from Texas means one thing. You won't fight for democracy. You're doomed to lose it. For almost 250 years, our democratic experience has been fought for, and it's endured. As governor of a state, remain, those early battles took place.
Starting point is 00:05:50 We're commemorating them next. next year. Those battles for freedom were here. That's why I cannot stand by and let this happen. While Donald Trump and his co-conspirator, Greg Abbott, erode our democracy and drag us toward authoritarianism. Can you say it even? Like, is it that difficult to say? I'm just shocked. Yeah, apparently. Yeah, this is something else. This is absolutely something else. And they were trying to say, oh, it's Trump's corrupt gerrymandering. And by the way, the Democrat that the Republicans made co-chair of the redistricting committee, it's a Democrat, it's a Democrat of Republicans that have the majority in Austin. And they literally had the speaker actually made the chair of this of this committee, a Democrat.
Starting point is 00:06:45 I don't know. You got to ask Republicans about that. So elected officials, they decided that they're going to leave. they took photos of them getting on, like here we go again, getting on planes doing all of this stuff flying away. They want to leave. They want to flee town. They want to break quorum. So Abbott said, he released this statement saying that any Democrat who is not in the capital today at 3 p.m. that he's going to remove them. And that's, I mean, we're going to see if it, if they, if he delivers. I mean, they're being, they're being paid. All of these Democrats are being paid by far.
Starting point is 00:07:20 our left Democrat donors. I know this because they see this in our state. How I saw our town in the district that I live in, the county is the largest red urban county in the state or in the United States. And it's the last large urban red county. The amount of money that is thrown at every race, dog catcher even by the left. I have never seen anything like it before. And I've been involved in campaigns for a long time. And I have a lot of friends who are involved in campaigns. And I mean, it's, it's really stunning the amount of money because they try to pay everybody off. They try to buy everything off.
Starting point is 00:08:00 That's their MO. And that's what they're, I mean, they're all, the same people are all behind this. So they're going to try to, they're going to, you know, they're going to, the quorum's broken. We're, we're, you know, it's out of session. We're done. We're leaving. So Texas Governor Greg Abbott said he's going to remove anybody that doesn't show up. Three o'clock.
Starting point is 00:08:20 They're out. someone also filed Senate Bill 62 relating to a vacancy due to excessive absence because this isn't the first time that they've done this. This is what Democrats do whenever they lose something, legitimately lose, which when they lose, they legitimately lose. They always say that it's somebody cheated or somebody did something, but they're not looking at, I mean, again, and I'm, you know, just preaching to the choir here, but they're not, look at Illinois, look at all these other states where they have, generational Democrat administration, the gerrymandering is insane. Texas is actually correcting gerrymandering that was done a decade ago. That's fact. So they're actually resetting it back to the way it should be, it should actually be designated.
Starting point is 00:09:08 And Democrats are angry because in order to get any kind of extra seats in Texas, they had to do this in the first place 10 years ago. I remember when they did this because we had just moved down here. We've been here for over a decade now in Texas. And this was right after Democrats did this the last time. And everybody was up in arms because they had, well, you saw the map. It looked ridiculous. So this is just simply correcting it.
Starting point is 00:09:32 That's it. Just simply correcting it. So this isn't the first time Democrats have run away from their responsibilities, from voters. And I hope that that's the message that everybody that Republicans hold to going forward because that's it. They're running away. This isn't the first time they've done it. 52. I think it was, this was a couple of, 22 years ago, they had, one of my friends, DeWain Patterson was noting that they, the last, this, not the very last time that they did redistricting,
Starting point is 00:10:03 but the time before that, that's when Democrats decided to get even and they wanted to really fight to have this district map and just made ridiculous and unworkable and unrealistic and not actually representative of the voting patterns of the electorate in Texas. But they had over 50, Democrats, they went to Oklahoma and they wouldn't come back. And it lasted for like almost a week. And then you had 11 Democrats from the Senate to do this. They went to New Mexico.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Same thing. So now here they're finalizing this plan once more and Democrats again ran away. They're fleeing Texas again. This is what happens in Texas every single time. Democrats are on the losing side of something.
Starting point is 00:10:45 They literally leave. They run away. We're going to talk about some of the history of this here coming up. Also, it gets worse. Poor Sidney Sweeney. So my friend Taryn Butler, Taryn Tactical, posted this completely innocent video because he does a lot of two-a training with a lot of actors and actresses and prepares them for these roles that they're going to do. And he had a video of Sidney Sweeney just running through, you know, a quick session at his range and he was, you know, bragging about her splits and that's, you know, her times between things. And everybody went nuts. The left again went nuts. And then they
Starting point is 00:11:22 found, they claim to find her voting registration. So apparently she's voted Republican. And that confirms all their biases because they hate everything about her because she's unapologetically pretty. We talked about this last week. They're not letting it go. They so desperately want to want her scout. They are, they want her. They want to use her as an example. And she's not allowing it. An American Eagle stuck up for her. Wow. This is getting very bad for the left. I mean, I'm sure this messaging works great going into midterms as well. So we're going to talk about this. We've got a whole bunch of stuff in store for you as we move.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Our partners that help bring you the program, it's the folks over at Relief Factor. Now, see, this is another non-big pharma way to manage aches and pains naturally. It's a drug-free supplement. And it's packed with all kinds of good stuff that target inflammation and support joint health. things like turmeric and I mean all of these things that fight your your aches and pains omega-3 fatty acids resveratrol my husband takes it helps him when he works out from old sports injuries 100% drug-free develop to support your body's natural healing process and the it's a powerhouse against inflammation so it's something you absolutely should check out especially if

And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick-5. Okay, so does this restart the rule of three? So Lonnie Anderson's passed away. age 79. She was an actress
Starting point is 00:13:16 like in the 70s. I remember her from being married to Bert Reynolds. They were married and they had a kind of a volatile sort of relationship. I just remember that they was always in my granny's National Enquirer magazines that she'd keep, she would get them at the Walmart when she would go to Farmington King and then she'd get them National Enquirer
Starting point is 00:13:34 magazines and I read all about it in the National Enquirer when I was a kid. So she was in WKRP that show I don't actually know what that show was about but I know It was the turkey drop. It was a radio. It was a show about radio. And it was, I just remember that turkey drop scene that everybody talks about.
Starting point is 00:13:52 So, but she was in there. She's a big star in the 70s. Married to Bert Reynolds. She's passed away. So is that rule of three or not? I think it is. Hmm. We'll have to figure this out.
Starting point is 00:14:03 We're going to do some math. We're going to have to do some math. So Sturgis, they said the 700,000 bikers have descended for the historic festival. That actually only began with like nine people and some horses. I didn't know that. Yeah, they said it's going to break attendance records. They're bringing the thunder to the Black Hills, 700,000. It's the 85th annual Sturgis motorcycle rally.
Starting point is 00:14:28 And the event began in 1938. They bring $1.5 million in tax revenue to the state. So that's pretty nice. Also, apparently, modesty is back. women are trading bikinis for full bodies. Who are these women? They're like, oh, these women are covering up. Okay, that's great if you want to do that.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Not everybody's going to. I don't, okay, I believe in modesty, but I also, I'm not going to wear like a long-sleefe shirt and long-sleefe pants at the beach. And I'm not putting like head cover. It's not happening because it's uncomfortable. It's hot and it's miserable. And I'm somebody who's like out in the water. When we go to the beach, I'm like out in the water.
Starting point is 00:15:10 I'm not wearing all that stuff. Long sleeves? That's beyond modesty. I mean, yeah, I mean, if that's your jammed, then all for it. And One Piece is they don't have problems with. But it's just, I just don't see how that's comfortable. I don't know. I think that there's, I think women are over-accessurizing at the beach. That's like a whole other topic of conversation.
Starting point is 00:15:29 All right. So Germany's oldest and biggest gay nightclub declares bankruptcy. Oh, so go in under, K. And it's called, the declaring it's bankrupt. It's first. It's apparently what the thing is called. It is a 50-year-old dance hotspot, and they said because of inflation and rising rents. So it's the oldest, it's in Berlin.
Starting point is 00:15:54 And says Day Cains, the management team posted that they have filed for insolvency, but they don't want to give up. So, vivacy. Also, disproportionate property taxes, which are absolutely communist and unconstitutional, or forcing people out of their homes. It is a major, it's through no fault of their own, their property just, it gets more and more expensive every year and to the point where they can't pay the tax on it. It is absolutely unconstitutional. I mean, if you're going to have a civil war over anything, that's the issue to actually do it on. But now there's all of these stories. It's in ABC has all
Starting point is 00:16:27 these stories about all of these people who are dealing with their property, like houses that they've lived in and raised their children and they've lived in them for 30 years. But their property taxes keep going up, up, up, and they can't get any relief, despite the fact that there's like not an increase in services or anything else. What are your, what is your, what is your money paying for. It's exactly. So we we really have to rethink all of that in this country for this country and the housing market to actually recover. That's something that's got to go away. And there's a million other things that we can do in place of that for all the people who want to scream about, I mean, property taxes for public schools is educational welfare. I think it's a form of welfare.
Starting point is 00:17:03 I'm entirely against it. We'll talk more about it here coming up. But we have some GOP, some Democrats, and of course, Sidney Sweeney, because they hate her. So sad. Stick with us. the folks who help make it possible, partners that include Burn a gun, B-Y-R-N-A. It shoots chemical irritant projectiles that can deter threats from up to 50 feet away. And the burn-a-gun is easy, I mean, no recoil, easy target acquisition. And this is a great idea for somebody who is disarmed by municipal restrictions, private property restrictions. Maybe you're a college student and you have to live on your own and you can't carry a pistol, but you want to be able to carry something to defend yourself.
Starting point is 00:17:40 This is where the burn a gun comes in. And there's several different kinds, both for the purposes of self-defense, I'm not going to talk to you about rifles. I think you should look at the SD, which is their pistol, or the CL, which is a compact pistol smaller than the SD, which is why it's called compact, and it's literally in its name, C-L. In this, like I said, legal in all 50 states, no license, no background check, no permit, no waiting period, and they can send it right to your door. It's accessible to everyone. Follow Dana's absurd truth podcast for bite-size informative episodes, perfect for your busy schedule on Apple or wherever you get your podcast. Actress Cindy, I'm not speaking that she was a registered Republican. Any thoughts on that? That who was? Sidney's a very hot actress right now. She's a registered Republican?
Starting point is 00:18:37 Oh, now I love her ad. Is that right? Is Sidney Swinney? You'd be surprised at how many people are Republicans. I love it. I wouldn't have known, but I'm glad you told me that. If Sidney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Thank you very much, everybody. There you go right there, ladies and gentlemen, with a little crew, a little motley crew in the background. Welcome back to the program, Dana Lash with you. That's POTUS, who was asked about that Sydney, Sweeney ad because the left will not let it go. Dear heavens. I know it's week three that we're talking. about this now because they will not stop. They are, they want to take her out. They need to have like a trophy, something to show because they're so mad. They're so mad. This poor young woman just because
Starting point is 00:19:28 she did an ad that was really, it was great. Now I'm going to buy American Eagle jeans, just as because, because American Eagle came out, I don't want to read their whole statement, but Juan's going to show you. They were basically like pound sand. That's what they say. Here's that, Here's literally the response from American Eagle, and it was, yeah, pound sand. That's it. We're going to, yeah, everybody, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah. Great jeans look good on everyone. And that's true.
Starting point is 00:19:51 There you go. They get it. I like them now. American Eagle. What? Man, I feel like I'm going to go back to the mall, Kane. Make malls great again. Wait, I just had a flash back into the future.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Wait, a flash forward into the future where malls were amazing. Again. Remember those? Those were the days. First off, welcome back. Channel 347 is the word I'm looking for simulcast. Good night. It's the simulcast of the radio program. It's on direct TV. It's on direct TV. It's on Monday. I'm not all the way caffeinated up. Because the reason why this is unrelated, I had way too much caffeine the other day. And I was going to like midnight. And my husband was like, dear heavens woman. So we're slowing it down today. So, their chats at Rumble, too, by the way.
Starting point is 00:20:42 The ad, I love Trump's expression. He's like, what? I love the ad now. What? I love it. It's so great. And I just, all, the whole reason that we're talking about this is because some chunks on TikTok got mad.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Some chunks on TikTok got mad. Angry chunks decided to just rage over an ad that doesn't affect them. at all whatsoever. They just got made, because they're jealous. They're a bunch of jealous bitches. That's all it is. You know what? It's time for hot girls to stand up against this stuff. Hot girls, you are being drafted into the culture war right now. And you need to stand up and you need to not only defend your, the men can't be defending you on this anymore. You got to be able to, the men are at their limit of what they can do. It's time to recruit all the hot ladies out there and get involved in the culture war because your future and
Starting point is 00:21:34 happiness depends on it. You need to stand up for your sister. Good. night. They had a huge billboard of her in this ad in Times Square. I'm waiting for it to get vandalized. What do you think? What do you think the likelihood of that? They put the ad up. That's her ad. They're like, it's controversial. It's not controversial unless you're a moron. I don't know that what the other word genes mean. What? Unless you're a limited vocabulary and you're a moron. Then maybe it's still not even controversial. But they put it up. And then she was hitting up the premiere. Now, before I do this, it came out over the weekend. Well, first, my friend Taryn Butler, which we need to have him on. We should bring him on to talk about this. And I want to ask Taryn if she was trying to force everybody
Starting point is 00:22:24 at Taryn Tactical to wear a red hat or something. Remember back in the day, wasn't it, like, she had a family wedding. And then on Instagram, she posted photos. I think it was like her mom that got married. And she posted photos on social media and somebody had a red hat on and they decided to go at her for it. And then that, you know, that storm went away. And then, and then Taryn, after the American Eagle ad, Taryn was sharing video on his Instagram of her running through the course, right, at Taryn Tactical. And so she likes cars. She likes to shoot guns. She did this gene ad. Oh my gosh, the left lost their mind. And then, oh my gosh, to make it worse, all their suspicions are confirmed. Where's the story? I'm going to pull it up.
Starting point is 00:23:06 She's, she voted Republican. What? Oh, they're losing their ever-loving minds. Her voter registration was revealed. Like, it's like, this is so stupid. This is the left. They found her voting record. She's been registered with the Republican Party of Florida and Monroe County since June of 2024.
Starting point is 00:23:27 What? And so? So she can do math, too. What's the problem? So she's cute. She shoots and she can do math, which is why she votes a Republican. Your problem is what? What's the problem?
Starting point is 00:23:43 Well, she's blonde. So, well, she's talked about. Shut. So they, I guess they thought that this was going to finish doing the job of canceling her. They're trying to cancel her because of a denim ad. There was one skittled haired chunk. that said I'm trying to comprehend the sentence
Starting point is 00:24:08 they said on TikTok and this is like these are the people that the press are using to go after her that her ad copy quote echoes pseudo scientific language of racial superiority there is nothing in that ad
Starting point is 00:24:28 that even comes close to that and people can be proud of how they look why is she why should she be ashamed? You're trying to body shame her? Why should she be ashamed? Because she has blonde hair and blue eyes. And you absolute rat bastard racist, why should she be upset over this? I'm so tired. It's the left being racist. It's all these skittle hair chunks that are trying to body shame her and they're race shaming her. That's what it is. For a, and because she's popular, she cuts through pop culture and
Starting point is 00:25:04 she resonates and she's effective. She's going to sell a ton of jeans. Tons of jude. There can be dudes that are going to be going in here buying these jeans. Good for her. I hope she does another ad. But they've been going at her since she came on the scene. I remember
Starting point is 00:25:22 when they were talking about her chest and they, when she was on the red carpet and it was like they were mortified that she wore, it's like the same reason they go after Lauren Sanchez. it's their business mind your own business it's all these like again these skittled hair chanks that go after these ladies i don't care if any of them if you have it then emphasize it is my as my granny's rule she's the same granny that did rule of three so that's the rule that i think that's fine do it
Starting point is 00:25:48 women should look like women but they started remember in the very beginning that's how they started with her and then it was the red hat on her in the background of an instagram photo this is the timeline of them going after sidney sweeney and then it was I think something else. Like they were talking about her at a photo call or something for one of her movies. Then it's this ad. And then it was her shooting. And now it's, oh, my gosh, she's a registered Republican.
Starting point is 00:26:13 What? They want to, they, it's all about canceling, canceling her because she's a registered Republican. Yes, she had, no, it was somebody's birthday. Sorry, it was her mother's birthday. I guess it was like her mother or father turned 60 and someone, they wore red hats that said make 60 great again. and the left went crazy. And they tried to cancel her because she had, you know, like novelty hats at this birthday party for her family where it said make 60 great again. And then somebody wore a blue Lives Matter shirt and they lost their mind at her.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Just leave her alone already for the love. I mean, this is just, it's just, it speaks so poorly of the left. And then other women are looking at this going, wait, what? That's how the left is. if you, they want to be able to gatekeep on who can be in the lady club. And if you vote Democrat, you can. If you vote Republican, you can't. If you celebrate the female form, that's considered offensive.
Starting point is 00:27:18 So you have to be canceled. That's what all of this is. They want to get at her because she refuses to follow the rules that they want to impose on everyone else culturally. I mean, and also it just, if I'm being honest, it kind of looks. like she only voted Republican one time. I don't even know what her full, who cares? I don't even know what her full voting record is. Yeah, who cares?
Starting point is 00:27:43 Yeah, the point made in Slack is apparent, you know, the left, they'll applaud only fans and women when they do slut walks and things like that. But then the moment you decide to get away from their traditional school of cultural thought, then they go and they try to cancel you and shame you. She isn't responded. Everyone's like, oh, American Eagle responded. I'm sure that her agents are telling her to ignore this. I would. She doesn't need to dignify any of this with the response. You're not owed a response from her. She doesn't owe you a damn thing. She's doing her job. She's going out. She's doing it in a classy way. She's celebrating the female form. And this was when she was at a premiere for her film. And someone was trying to huckle her over this ad. Listen, this. This is. This is audio sound by 31. About the ad. That it's being racist.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Trying to heckle her. She goes in. See, I could not be in PR because I'd pop that lady. I would just immediately like throat punch. I'm sorry. Would you say I can't hear you over your choking. What? Why is that, that lady's racist.
Starting point is 00:28:58 She sounded like some annoying, progressive Karen. That's what she sounded like. and then they're going to follow it all of her events and try to shame her. I'll tell you what. No, I think, yeah, it's Hot Girl Summer, ladies. It's Hot Girl Summer, and you need to embrace it. Embrace, go and get you some jeans and wear a tank top with them. That's, I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:29:18 It's Hot Girl Summer. You need to enlist in the cultural war because the men can't fight this one. They can't fight this one for you. You all got to do it. Because if you notice, where did all the criticism originate with us? It didn't come from men. there is not a single man that has said anything about it. Have you seen a man talk about this?
Starting point is 00:29:42 Who are all the videos that we've seen? Who are in all of the videos criticizing her? Women. Men have not criticized her over this. No man in his right mind is going to say a negative thing about any of this. They're all silent because they know better. They're like, oh, no, she actually is cute. Oh, no, she actually shoots pretty well.
Starting point is 00:30:05 No, honey, her jeans are horrible. Yeah, it's all these women that are mad. All of the women. This is a woman-on-woman fight. This is women trying to cancel another woman because third and fourth wave feminists, they're a bunch of bitches. They don't believe in women's rights. They don't believe in women's choices as evidenced by this cultural battle.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Heaven forbid a woman decides to talk about how she likes a pair of denim pants. heaven forbid a woman's like you know i have you know good jeans she gets canceled by the third and fourth wave woke scolds which by the way are entirely irrelevant to society they are like the ward on the backside of america our culture we do not need third and fourth wave and hell half the fourth wave are a bunch of men tucking it pretending that they're women anyway this is woman on woman violence right here this is a female war and the men are just kind of standing back like what is your damage the damage is that they're jealous. They've made themselves ugly in protest of a false patriarchy. And then now they're mad because they can't get dates. That's what this whole problem is. I'm just so tired of this stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:11 It's not the men. It's all the women. All the women. So when women say, you know, our bodies are choice. They don't mean that. They don't mean any of that stuff. They don't believe in free choice. They don't believe in free association. They don't believe in body positivity because in order for them to like you and celebrate you and be positive. about you, you have to vote a certain way and you have to talk a certain way and you have to look a certain way and you have to think a certain way and you have to dress a certain way. And if you don't check all of those boxes, you are excommunicado. They are the self-appointed bouncer of the lady club. This is woman-on-woman violence. That's what this whole thing is. And the men who are,
Starting point is 00:31:54 men should be vocally supportive of it. That's the best thing that they could do right now. And I'm telling you other ladies, and I think a lot of women are, should be, just stick up for her. It'd be nice that there's some other females in Hollywood that would do it. That would stick up for her. That would be really great. But see, they all, like, they all worry about their own. They don't realize what this means for them in the future if this is a notch that the left scores. They don't realize the implications of that. Starting point is 00:33:48 Like Sands Through the Hourglass, so are the days of the United States. Donald Trump is a piece. Okay, we know that. Yes, yes. He is. He is. Donald Trump is a piece. Okay, we know that. She's so classy. What, like, what, what was she even at? She was like at some panel thing. What does she offer? Like, I don't, what purpose does she serve? What, what, what does she offer? She offers nothing. All she does is she just a, she's like a shock jock that somehow got it to elected office. I don't understand that very well. That's, um, Jasmine Crock. by the way. This is what apparently passes for this is like the stupidest soundbite. She is just, what is the point of her?
Starting point is 00:34:42 Resistant. What does she do? What bills have she sponsored? Like genuinely, like what bills is. Nobody knows what she does. Nobody knows what she does because she didn't do anything. That's why. Good grief.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Oh, gosh. That's, well, it's going to get worse because they're all fighting over the redistricting in Texas. and Democrats decided to hop on a private jet and take off. And this is after, you know, Texans are also trying to deal with disaster relief in the wake of the floods and hill country. But apparently that's not important enough for these lawmakers to stay. So they left because they're mad over redistricting. We're going to talk about that coming up.
Starting point is 00:35:29 They got a private jet, you know, because they care so much about the environment so they got a private jet. They got on this jet. They're out. That's a lot of them went to Illinois. Some of them went to New York. They're, I don't, I know that there's the story that Democrats are expected to overperform or outperform this midterm cycle. I don't see that that's going to happen in Texas, though.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Especially doing something like this when you're dealing with, again, recovery efforts, flood recovery efforts. serious problem. We're going to dive into this also on deck because we were telling you about the Sydney Sweeney stuff since they found her. Like one time she voted a Republican. We're going to get into some of the Republican stuff as well. We've got also immigration and Hillary Clinton's efforts to frame POTUS, a former CIA director saying it's the greatest scandal. It's the scandal of a lifetime. We're going to get into that. We're going to get a whole bunch of stuff. Stick with us. hour on the way. Hey folks, this one is for all you ladies and the ladies in your lives, whether you're shopping for yourself or you're looking to impress your wife or girlfriend. You should definitely take a look at

That's honeyloved.com slash Dana and tell them that we sent you. This is State Representative James Tala Rico from Texas.
Starting point is 00:37:34 If you're seeing this video, my Democratic colleagues and I have just left our beloved state to break quorum and stop Trump's redistricting power grab. Trump told our Republican colleagues to redraw the political maps here in Texas in the middle of the decade to get him five more seats and protect his majority in Congress. They're turning our districts into crazy shapes to guarantee the outcome they want in the 26 elections. If this power grab succeeds, they will hang on to power without any accountability from the voters. But Texas Democrats are fighting back. We're leaving the state, breaking quorum, and preventing Republicans from silencing our voices and rigging the next election. We are not fighting for the Democratic Party. We are fighting for the Democratic process.
Starting point is 00:38:21 And the stakes could not be higher. We have to take a stand. So stupid. This guy is such an idiot. it. First off, they did this in 2021 and there was like no consequence for it, which is why now, you know, they're doing it again. Welcome back to the program. We're at the top of the second hour. Dana Lash with you. Channel 347 is the where you can watch the radio program. The chats at Rumble. They did this back in 2021. You guys remember they fled the state and they decided,
Starting point is 00:38:48 yeah, I mean, there was no consequences for them when they did that. They fled the state and all of this is because of these, the redistricting map, which it needs to be redone. It's like something that's redone like every 10 years. This needs to be redone. It's no, you know, no different. And they, that last time, I mean, in 2003, it lasted for almost a week, I think, four days. Twenty-twenty-one, it lasted for several days. There's never any, there's never any penalty for them at doing this. They're abandoning their jobs. They're abandoning voters. It's a special session. They have, they refuse to look at the flood, the flooding, the flood recovery, Texas Hill Country. You know what? Where's this at? I saw, um, it was a, where's this at? It was a Democrat who was
Starting point is 00:39:47 complaining that it's Greg Abbott's fault that they left without addressing. the flood recovery for Hill Country because Greg Abbott didn't have it first on the list of things to discuss for special session. And he probably didn't put it first because he knew that they were going to be skipping out and he wanted to probably try to convince them to stay and focus on some of these other issues also. You know, we've got property taxes that nobody wants to talk about because Dan Patrick is obsessed with THC. That's already like regulated, but I don't I guess big lickers leaning on him. And we don't have any property tax relief.
Starting point is 00:40:31 And now we've got, now this is happening. So I don't know. There are, now all of these Democrats are saying blue states need to also redraw their maps. Okay, go ahead and try. Go ahead. I mean, California, they can't do it because they have to go through a whole different thing in order to even approach that, that, the possibility. And so this was, they already had, they already had gerrymandered it.
Starting point is 00:40:56 this is correcting what Democrats did what Democrats did what Republicans allowed them to do. That's what this is. So I don't know. They had 18 items on their agenda and for special session. And they were looking at property taxes, redistricting, abortifacients, flood recovery, all of those. Emergency, improving early warning systems, all of those are on the thing, right? And of course, you know, and Patrick, he's, you know, he's obsessed. He's got to fetishize THC stuff. He's got his little THC stuff in there. I mean, I'm worried about flood recovery and redistricting and property taxes particularly. That needs to be dealt with. And already now, they're just stalling it out. They refuse to come back and do the job that they were elected to do. I think there should be
Starting point is 00:41:48 very severe penalties for lawmakers that do this kind of stuff because they keep doing it in Texas. They, in 2003, they had charter buses. This time they had private planes. They chartered planes because they care so much about the environment, you know. They went and hopped on a private plane and flew to New York. They flew to Illinois. And then you had Kathy Holkel who had a press conference with some of the Texas lawmakers. Same thing with J.B. Pritzker. You carpetbaggers need to stay in your own states and worry about what you were doing in your own states. Illinois has problems. New York has problems. You guys don't need to be busting into our business in Texas. Texas? And the idea that this is somehow gerrymandering, it actually fixes, again, it fixes the problem that Democrats previously created with gerrymandering. I mean, the map is it needs to be, it needs to actually reflect Texas is what it needs to. And as it is right now, it's not. He says that Abbott said that it seems to him the only way that some of the fleeing Democrats can avoid bribery charges is to not break quorum. I there needs to be serious penalties for this and then you have the castros oh this guy's drunk with power he's so desperate to do trump's bidding do you guys remember the Castro brothers when they did a switcheroo guys remember this whole thing I think I need to remind everybody about it on X too so the Castro brothers and this was um they they switched places during a riverwalk parade thing This was back in 2005. And so Julien Castro was the mayoral hopeful. And his brother, Joaquin, I think he was state rep. And the mayoral hopeful wanted to go to a fundraiser.
Starting point is 00:43:40 So he had his identical twin brother stand in for him on the city, because he was also on the city council running for mayor. So he literally had his twin brother, Joaquin Castro, stand in for him on the city council barge when they were doing their river walk parade and they had all the barges in the in the river and when he was caught out he goes we can't help that we look like each other and when and there was a lot of people were saying oh hulian huliana waving and he was apparently waving back and he was trying to say no i was saying that no it's wakene he goes that's what i was that he had no business being up there in the first place it was the city council barge he got up there so his brother could go to a fundraiser
Starting point is 00:44:23 They did like a parent trap thing. The Castro brothers did a parent trap thing. This was back in 2005. They literally switched spots. And they got caught out by a photographer. I just, so I cannot take anything that they say seriously at all whatsoever. And that's not, I think that they've done it before with other things, according to the Houston Chronicle. It's just like one of the goofiest things I think I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 00:44:53 That's like a thing that they did and they thought they were going to get away with it. Can you imagine? I just, I don't know. It's, that's something else. So he's criticizing this. He's saying, oh, it's, it, uh, Greg Abbott is doing Trump's bidding. This was going to happen with or without Trump. This is nothing to do with Trump.
Starting point is 00:45:12 This is going to happen regardless. Because it needed to happen. In fact, coming up, we're going to talk to, um, Ken Paxton about this, uh, about this issue. Because the, getting these Democrats. credits back into getting the special session finished is a priority. It needs to happen. So I, there, I, I don't know what the, what stunts they think that they're pulling with this. We have some more audio of this as well because you have, in addition, so that was, you had Telerico, that guy. Kathy Hockel was threatening to do the same. Audio sound by 9.
Starting point is 00:45:46 She's threatening to do the same with redistricting. They also have a process that they have to follow. It's not just the governor can decide to. We're going to just, I'm going to, I'm going to suggest, we're going to do it now. This is going to be a legislative item. We're going to redraw the district. That's not how this works. But this is her talking about this. Audio somebody, 9. Now, what Texas and Republican states are doing it the direction of Donald Trump, I say is nothing short of a legal insurrection against our capital. Legal meaning they're using the legal process does not mean it's legal and it must be stopped. If Republicans are willing to rewrite these rules to give themselves an advantage,
Starting point is 00:46:26 then they're leaving us no choice. We must do the same. There's a phrase, you have to fight fire with fire. That is a true statement of how we're feeling right now. Fire with fire, but that's not what this is. This is just like proper redistricting. That's it. And that has to, so much of that has to do with people moving. into the state. It has to do with people in the state moving to different parts of the state. I mean, this is, again, every 10 years. But it was, I'll say it again, and this is the third time in what a decade that they fled their responsibilities, Democrats. This is simply, first off, it fixes the gerrymandered problem that Democrats created. But you can't not redistrict when you
Starting point is 00:47:15 have new people moving into the state. A huge, your population is exploding. You cannot have, You can't say no, we're not going to redistrict because it doesn't benefit us anymore. Then get off your asses and win some elections. Win elections then. If you feel like you're going to be underrepresented because the population has grown, you can't say that, well, we're just not going to redistrict because it doesn't suit us. This isn't about you. This is about voters.
Starting point is 00:47:42 And as it is right now, they're not properly represented in Texas. And I'll remind these Democrats that we killed people. for taxation without representation. We went to a war, and we gutted redcoats literally on the evening of Christmas Eve, not on the morning, as a lot of people assume, but still Christmas Eve. I'm just saying. So let's, you know, this is an important issue. You can't disenfranchise voters because you're afraid of losing power.
Starting point is 00:48:14 This isn't about you. It's about voters. That's it. This has been passed in legislation. And by the way, a legislature that bends over backwards to accommodate Democrats when, per their majority, they don't have to. And this is what they get. This is what they get for it. Good grief.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Now, some of the other things that we have on deck here today, the, so I guess, let's pull this up. Nancy Mace is going to run for South Carolina Governor. Why? I'm just curious. So she wants to run for South Carolina Governor. She represents a low country congressional district. She put a minute-long video tagged Nancy Mace for governor on her website. She has grander plans to run for office beyond that.
Starting point is 00:49:03 It's not going to happen. She doesn't have it. I mean, I'm not against her running for governor. I just don't know why. I mean, we need people in the house seats. We can't really afford to lose anybody in Congress. And that is going to create another seat that I think that, Republicans are probably going to have to defend. I think hers is a pretty reliable red seat, though, but still, you never know. But she's made her formal announcement that she's going to run for governor of South Carolina. And I don't know if that, I don't think that that makes sense, if I'm being honest. It explains some of the stunts that she's done in the past couple of years, like when she literally wore a scarlet letter on her.
Starting point is 00:49:52 shirt because she was protesting for something or the fight that she had with her ex-boyfriend, which did not look well. I don't know. I just feel like there's a lot of unforced errors that she brings to the race. And I don't think that she has a, I don't think that she's got great political acumen. I really don't. She might be a nice person, but she makes a lot of dumb mistakes very publicly. So I don't know what that, you know, we'll see. I just don't like seeing seats given, congressional seats given up, knowing that we're going into a midterm election. And we already have such a close majority. And then after that, it's going to be even closer with some of the seats that are going to be coming up to defend. So it's, um, this is, it's a problem.
Starting point is 00:50:36 So we'll, well, I'm a little worried about that. We'll come back to what. We've got headlines on the way as we move. It is the folks over at super beats. You like the product. The super beats heart shoes. Now they have the, uh, super barine product, which is all about helping your metabolism and healthy blood sugar levels. Starting point is 00:51:33 And now all of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick Five. Sorry, I was looking to say something sassy on break on social media to one of the Castro brothers. So I wasn't looking at my outline section. Oh, no. Oh, all right. So we got, by the way, we have Kim Paxson who's going to be coming up at the bottom of the hour. He's phoning in and to talk about some of this stuff. All right. So Chicago has the worst air quality in the world. That's according to like a new study. They said that they have the worst air quality in the world. It's a very alarming warning. And that it's Chicago and Minneapolis. Their air quality is unhealthy. It's level four of six on the air quality index. They're the windiest cities. you surprised
Starting point is 00:52:18 Democrats that it is too just saying Key sign of hurricane activity has flipped into high gear well it is hurricane season I mean it happens every year every decade
Starting point is 00:52:29 every year all the time every year yes they're watching a region to the ocean where many hurricanes are born we should bond that region
Starting point is 00:52:37 just go kill it they need warm ocean water to form water I'm not getting into the meteorology of it but it's hurricane season just F1st I just keep an eye out on stuff, right? It's hurricane season.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Let's see. Also, oh, you are, okay, so this is how Kane put this in. A 15-year-old girl died. She died after going swimming on a full stomach, according to an inquest. What? Stop it. Did my mother put you up to the? You act like I'm the one making news up.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Like, I'm the one out there like, hey, look at me making news up. Let's get Dana to read it. know how many times I remember growing up all I would hear from my parents after I ate was you gotta wait an hour before you get in the water I'm like that's such a lie apparently it's a British girl that's a Brits I don't know like how accurate is there medicine
Starting point is 00:53:29 and science inquest her that she had eaten a substantial meal before she entered the water and was swept out of her depth she tried to swim so it sounds like she was swept out into the water by a riptide and she didn't know how to deal with a riptide and then apparently she vomited, inhaling her gastric contents and lost consciousness. So it seems like the riptide was the cause and just like maybe the full stomach compounded it, but it wasn't just the cause. This is an incredibly misleading headline.
Starting point is 00:54:00 Oh my gosh. Stop it. A, uh, oh, I don't want to talk about that one. Oh, let's do this one. A decapitated head wrapped in tinfoil, handed to police also in Britain. Oh, gosh. Yeah, that's a missing head of a man that he was found dumped in the street. Now they found his head. Good grief. There's no way to segue out of that.
Starting point is 00:54:17 We got Ken Paxson coming up. Just stick with us. The folks who helped make the program possible. It's the company over in Florida, Caltech. And they have a new, somewhat new. It came out with it last year. It is the PR 57. It is a rotary barrel pistol chambered in 5-7.
Starting point is 00:54:33 It's 40% lighter than other 5-7s that are on the market, if you're thinking of a 5-7 for concealed carry. And it was engineered for simplicity and reliability. It's something that you can, you know, it's a everyday carry, quick and easy field strip. And they make it lighter and smaller in two different ways. The innovative rotary barrel contributes to the lightness of it. But then also, you have a unique top-loading design that replaces the traditional magazine with stripper clips for a slimmer carry profile in a 20 plus one capacity. MSRP, only 399 made here in the US of A.

Keep your finger on the Pulse with the Dana Show podcast, delivering timely news with insightful analysis. Whenever you want, straight to you on YouTube, Apple, or wherever you get your podcasts. We've always had partisan redistricting, thus it ever was, thus it ever will be. How is this different? Well, you know, simply because this is something that has afflicted the nation for, you know,
Starting point is 00:55:36 an extended period of time doesn't mean that it's right. What we're seeing now is an attempt by the White House to insulate itself from any kind congressional scrutiny any kind of congressional oversight to make sure that Donald Trump remains the authoritarian figure that he has become we have a compliant Congress and he wants to ensure that given the fact that they pass this bill that is unpopular that takes health care away from people that gives tax breaks to billionaires and it puts at risk the Republican majority he wants to ensure that he continues to have that compliant Republican House of
Starting point is 00:56:11 Representatives and that I think you know this called you need to win elections first and foremost. And that's, that's number one. Number two, all this does, and we've talked about this, is it corrects what Democrats have done previously. This isn't gerrymandering when we're talking about redistricting in Texas. You have a population explosion in this state. And it needs the members of Congress in these congressional districts, it all needs to accurately reflect upon the voters. Otherwise, you have taxation without representation. And as I pointed out, we went to war over Christmas with people on that before. Remember the old story going after the Hussians with Washington. All of that was kicked off with
Starting point is 00:56:53 the War of Independence because of this. So I think people need to get the story a little correct here. Joining us right now, Attorney General Ken Paxton, also a Senate candidate, a candidate for Senate. He's challenging John Cornyn. He joins us now on the phone because, you know, he's running around Austin doing his job. General, it's always good to have you. I, so, I mean, explain this to us. Like, what can I mean, can they be arrested because they're not doing, what penalty realistically can be implemented since these people have fled the state, a chartered a plane, fled the state, crying on Democrat governor's shoulders and the refusing to do the job for which they were elected? Well, first of all, thanks for having me on. And is it not amazing that these Democrats are going to Illinois, which is one of the most, it may be the most gerrymandered state in the country.
Starting point is 00:57:41 I think it was a 52-48% win for Kamala, and I think 82% of the seats there are held by Democrats. So it's interesting that they are claiming that they don't want to stay and vote in Texas because it's unfair or somehow unjustified or wrong, and yet they're going to Illinois. As far as what we can get done, one, I mean, honestly, I think they should have locked them in before they left, which they could have done in the House. Second, arrest, oh yeah, we could have, I was in the House in 2003. They locked us in, so no one would leave, and we were forced to stay there. I think it was two nights. And, of course, we were waiting on the Democrats to come back, but we were locked in. And that was something that would have kept them here had we implemented that in the House.
Starting point is 00:58:31 So given that we didn't do that, and they're already gone, now arrest is the next best option. And the challenge there is obviously they're in Illinois where we have a hard time having cooperation from law enforcement people there to help us arrest the Democrats that have left Texas. So either have to wait them out by calling special sessions, which we've done in the past, which Abbott's done, and so did Governor Perry. So that's an option. there's other options we're looking at, potentially what's called the quo warrento option, which we've never done before where we challenge because they've abandoned their office when they're not here voting, where we potentially challenge them continuing to hold office. We're talking with Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Because the way that I understand it, if you have lawmakers that leave for, and this is the third time in what, nine years that they've, 10 years that they've left, the third time that they've decided to flee instead of doing their jobs. Can, does the governor have the authority under Texas's constitution to, to declare that these seats are vacant? And then can't that then lower the threshold for quorum and then the House can continue on with business? Is that a possibility? I wish it was that simple. So what has to happen, we have to file these actions, I have to follow them with a district attorney or the county attorney who have to file an action. in each of the counties these numbers are from.
Starting point is 00:59:58 So you're talking about, what, 51 different actions, and you have 51 potential different district courts. So it would be a little bit of a process, but maybe that's a process that it's worth making them come back to fight for. Because that may be a way to come back as they have to be in court to fight the battle. I like that idea. I also like the idea of locking them in,
Starting point is 01:00:21 because like I said, you know, they've, this is like the third time that they've done this and you've lived through it. You know, you've seen this over and over again. It seems like that's going to have to happen in order to get business done because here we're in a special session. You got, we need property tax relief. We also have flood recovery efforts in Hill Country. And they're MIA.
Starting point is 01:00:38 Do you know, General, who's paying for them to leave? Like, who paid for them to charter this plane to go? I think they, I don't know how many planes were chartered, but they flew to New York. They flew to Illinois. Who's paying for all of this stuff? You know, that's a good question. They'll have to report it eventually. in the next campaign finance report.
Starting point is 01:00:54 So we'll know the problem is we won't really know until January of next year because they don't have to report until that time period. I am sure at some point that it'll leak out who actually paid to this, but everybody's going to have to report a contribution on their campaign finance report showing what they got. Yeah. And tell everybody about this because, like I've said, you've seen this before as well. This is not gerrymandering.
Starting point is 01:01:21 If they want to have a conversation about gerrymandering, and you brought up Illinois, one of the states to which these Democrats fled, their map actually looks like the state's giving you the middle finger because the highway 55, because the way they've got it districted right up into the middle of the state going into Cook County. I mean, there are memes about the way that these maps look and these gerrymandered Democrat-run states. This is just making it accurately reflect voters in Texas, and Democrats oppose this. I challenge anybody to look at the Texas map the way it is right now versus what Illinois has or versus what California has. It's nothing close to Jeremy. We are allowed to make political decisions, the legislature is, about how they're going to draw these maps. And as long as it's not based on any type of race decision, but we know that Republican majorities have been growing in Texas. As Hispanic voters have been more Republican that generally people coming to Texas have been voting Republicans.
Starting point is 01:02:13 And so there's no reason we can't go back and reflect those advantages to make the map better represent the people of Texas. Yeah. Can they be charged with a felony, these fleers? So there have been some questions about how they took this money, whether that's considered an official bribe. I think the governor brought that up. That would, again, involve the district attorneys in our states. And a lot of these Democratic counties have Democratic district attorneys, which is, you know, they won't bring anything. This is one of the problems of our state. We should have the ability to
Starting point is 01:02:48 general should have the ability to basically hold district attorneys accountable and bring those actions if they won't do it and they're called for. But that's something the legislature has to fix. And they haven't been willing to do that up to this point. Yeah. And I also think too, you know, especially because I think it's a Democrat that actually runs the committee that like oversees some of this stuff. Why are we with the Republican superman? majority or a majority. Why are we empowering a lot of these Democrats with some of these committee assignments? And I know that's one thing that a lot of voters have been critical of. What is your take on that? So, I mean, we had a caucus meeting that did not elect, that picked a Republican
Starting point is 01:03:30 speaker. There were 20 or so Republicans that didn't like the caucus picks. So they went over and cut a deal with the Democrats. So that's how we end up with the speaker we have. So there's going to be loyalty to Democrats if you're put in office by Democrats. It's just a logical conclusion, right? So that's why you see, you know, Democratic chairs and you see, if not Democratic chairs, at least vice chairs who have a lot of power. And Democrats that have a lot of sway in directing legislation, sway that they shouldn't have given to them the minority. Right, right. So it seems like you are interested at least in making them come back here and fight those.
Starting point is 01:04:09 in court in terms of the question that I asked you prior, you know, about the, about reducing the threshold for a quorum. And I mean, that's a possibility. That seems like you sounded very interested in that, unless I read too much into into the enthusiasm of your reply. No, no, no. Because right now, I think it's, it's an option to potentially bring them back to at least, you know, fight in court.
Starting point is 01:04:29 And if they are in court, they can be much more easily arrested, assuming that the House Sergeant of Arms or the House Speaker directs that to be done. As long as Hill Directed to be done, I think there's a good chance we can get them back and at least put them on notice that they got a court fight. All of them have a court fight. So we're at least looking at that option. It's never been done before. So this is new territory for all of us. It seems like a boss move.
Starting point is 01:04:56 I got to say, that seems like a boss move to do because there's not been a penalty for these people. I mean, this is the third time in 10 years. There's been no penalty for them before. That's correct. They have gotten away with it. Now, they have had, for good or for bad, they've been gone from their families for months and months at a time. And the good thing is each time the Republican governor has waited them out. And we've ultimately passed the, you know, the redistricting maps that we, because remember, they don't do this.
Starting point is 01:05:22 They do this every time. They don't just do it because we're doing it midterm, mid-cycle. They do it. They do it even when we have normal registering. They try to stop it to keep old maps that they think benefit them. Yes. So this is all politics. This is something like, you know, they claim it's some righteous, you know, decision to protect whatever.
Starting point is 01:05:42 And the reality is, I don't know. Look, look where they've gone. They've gone to Illinois, the most gerrymandered state in the country. So it sounds like you are going to, you are going to take some action on this. Well, literally, you know, we just started. We looked at this a couple of years ago. We got the authority through the Supreme Court, or at least there was a case from the Supreme Court that backed up this idea. this idea, because we didn't have any case law on this, that we, that once the speaker issued a
Starting point is 01:06:10 directive to have them arrested, we could do that. So we know we can do that. There's no case law on this idea that we mused about in one of our opinions a couple of years ago about this Quo Warrinta thing. So we threw it out there as something we've thought about. We've just never, we've never tried it. So given where we're at now, we're seriously looking into it. It's a lot of work just because we have to go file in so many different counties. but it's something we're definitely considering and may use. Yeah, I hope you do it. I think the speaker would issue it.
Starting point is 01:06:42 I hope you do it. I hope because this is, I mean, it affects so much. I mean, there's property tax relief that we need to remedy. There's also, you know, the issue with flood recovery. I watched one Democrat general say on X that, well, you know, it's Republicans' fault for not listing it as the first agenda item. Well, there's a ton of agenda items that are listed. That's a horrible excuse. No, it does that make any sense to anybody?
Starting point is 01:07:08 There's a list of maybe 10 things, and the list order is irrelevant. They're all going to get covered, and they're all going to start. They're all going to get covered at the same time, right? We have 30 days. So they're all going to start at the same time, no matter whether they're one or 10, the governor clearly thought they were important enough to bring the legislature back in session to deal with those issues. And as far as I know, the Democrats didn't have a complaint about anything else
Starting point is 01:07:33 other than the fact that redistricting wasn't listed first. Exactly. Exactly. Well, General, I hope that you all do. I know that there hasn't been done before, but I hope you all do go and file in these counties. And I know you said it's a lot of work, but that, for voters to see,
Starting point is 01:07:51 because we have so often, we've lived for so long under this two-tier system of justice, and you've been on with me to talk quite a lot about it before in different cases, but for voters to see these lawmakers actually have to face the penalties for not doing their job that regular people would face that in the real world, and especially when it's so egregiously reckless what they're doing right now. I think that would go a long way with voters. So I would highly encourage you.
Starting point is 01:08:14 Like I would get pom-poms and cheer lead you to do this. Because that is a boss move. Yes, that is a boss move. I would actually do a cheer. That's a boss move. It needs to be done because these people need to face the consequences of doing this. They run for these elected offices. they're supposed to represent the people not run from their responsibility.
Starting point is 01:08:36 So, I mean, I would actually go down to Austin to watch them being brought in for that. That sounds like a field trip. So I would encourage you to do that, General. And please let us know if you do. Well, we'll keep you up to date. We're definitely strongly considering it. Obviously, they just left, you know, yesterday. So we've got whatever decision we made, we've got a lot of research going into it,
Starting point is 01:08:57 and we'll have a lot of work to get all of these filed. I'm just saying that's also some good campaign B-roll that you could get out of it. I'm just saying, I'm just going to throw it out there. Like, that's some great B-roll to get. That's just such a boss move. Attorney General of the great state of Texas, Ken Paxson, we enjoyed talking with you. And we'll keep an eye on this. And please keep us updated.
Starting point is 01:09:16 Hey, thanks, I appreciate it. It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks. It is very much. So thank you, General. Appreciate it. Starting point is 01:11:01 It's time for Florida, man. All right, so first up, we have this story, Disney World Ferry Boat Crash Magic Kingdom. Good heavens. So apparently, this sounds horrifying, it was a horrific ferry boat crash at Disney World. Multiple guests had to be rushed to the hospital. They said that a boat was bringing families from Magic.
Starting point is 01:11:26 Kingdom to the transportation and ticket center on Wednesday. It was in the evening during a massive storm and apparently it hit something. And they said people were thrown forward. Metal trash cans came barreling down, hitting kids. One boy got pinned under a trash can. People were screaming. They were bleeding. And it sounds like Frank from always stunning Philadelphia got a hold of a barge again. They said that as they were waiting for the ferry, it began raining heavily. And they were surprised that the ferry was running in the dark and the pouring rain. And they said that it hit. And it just went crazy. It went crazy. So many people had to be taken to the hospital. And parents were furious. Kids were shaken up. Everybody's screaming and crying. The video, it all looks pretty crazy,
Starting point is 01:12:08 honestly. Did they not have like lights in the front? Like how does it? I don't know. They had EMTs there, everything. So they're looking into it. Obviously, there's people are going to be bringing lawsuits. It's going to be crazy. Oh, this is a gross story, but I'm going to read it all the same. This had to do with a Florida man who was hospitalized with a rare infection. Because he was eating, he ate, he ate feral pig meat. I do think you have to be, you know, you got to be careful when you're harvesting meat.
Starting point is 01:12:36 So it was eating feral pig meat. And they're saying that you shouldn't eat, I know a lot of people that eat feral pigs, but, you know, they said that there was a guy who got a tick-related infection and I don't know, because he ate some feral pig meat. And it's, I don't know if I necessarily believe all of that. But you do, just be smart about the meat that you harvest. All right, we got more on the way. Third hour coming up.

Starting point is 01:13:55 antibiotics, and more. That's all family pharmacy.com slash Dana, code Dana 10. The party was relatively popular. It's not right now. What is your diagnosis for that? What's different now? Why are voters unhappy with you? Well, I'd say two things.
Starting point is 01:14:15 Ultimately, the goal of any political party, hopefully ours, is to win. That means getting the 51%. I hope 55, 58% gives you a little cushion. That means that you have to provide an outlet for people's frustration. from across the ideological spectrum, right? The Democrats need votes from everybody from never Trump, conservative Republicans to disaffected socialists to moderates, to progressives, to liberals.
Starting point is 01:14:37 They're all part of the Democratic coalition if we're going to win with 55, 58%. So first off, I can't get over her giant leather jacket. That's like way big on her. That was really annoying. But then his answer is bizarre. That's Colorado Governor Jared Police who's saying that, well, we have to reach out to disaffected socialists. So you're saying that you socialists are part of your party then.
Starting point is 01:14:59 That's what you're saying. That's what he's saying. Socialists are a part of the party. It's part of their whole thing. It's part of the party. So you guys got to own that now. Right? That's how it works. You guys got to own it. Welcome back to the program. Dana Lash with you. We're at the top of this third hour. And I think by this is, I've heard this before from the left. And they say that, well, it's a big tent. And we, you know, we just have a lot of people. in it. If that was an excuse ever given by anybody on the right as a way to cover for the most egregiously fridious people within the right, the right would be good grief, would be crucified over it. But for some reason, they use this as an excuse and it's supposed to suffice. Well, you know, it's a big tent. So you're saying that you're saying that you're,
Starting point is 01:15:56 you are representing communists and socialist. So you're the party of socialism. I mean, it's all the same isom. It's just a bunch of, it's just a bunch of intellectuals, pseudo intellectuals who think that there's actually differences between, you know, all of the same idiotic political ideologies.
Starting point is 01:16:13 It's just different gradients of government control. It's all it is. But that's what they're saying. Oh, well, you know, we got to reach out. What is a disaffected socialist? Someone who figured out socialism doesn't work. That's a stupid phrase, too. we just need to start calling it what it is.
Starting point is 01:16:31 I mean, he's, he's a socialist. I mean, he's literally a member of Democratic Socialist of America. Democratic Socialist is one of the stupidest phrases I've ever heard. And if anyone, and I don't care if it sounds mean, it's accurate. It's mean to aid people in this delusion. That's the cruelty is aiding people in this idiotic delusion and then this pseudo-intelligence. There's no such thing as a Democratic socialist. that's the dumbest like mashup of words ever it's not you're not going to just create like a
Starting point is 01:17:01 a language Voltron by piecing together different idiotic words you know as one it doesn't work that way Democratic socialist is like putting glitter on a turd that's it it's still a piece of feces it's same thing it's it's meaningless he's a social he's they're Marxists they're all Marxists is what that's that's that's what their their ideology is and so now they're trying to figure out, Democrats have gone from, oh my gosh, we're not socialists. And I know you all remember back when Barack, back in 2008 and when Barack Obama was talking about socialism and the right was criticizing it and Democrats were, oh, no, we're not, we're not socialist. Oh, and they were, they recoiled in horror from using that word or even being presented with it to now, well, it's part
Starting point is 01:17:49 of the big tent. They've really come a long way since then. They went from recoiling in horror at the term to adopting it and saying that it's part of their big tent because that's who their party is. So this ma'am Danny who is being used and he is, he's kind of the, in terms of ideology, he's a new face, the new, I guess, representation of Democrats. And he wants to create, now he wants to offer gender affirming care to everybody for free. It's part of his thing. they've had their New York City's Democrat Socialist Steering Committee.
Starting point is 01:18:29 And if you wanted to know what a Democrat Socialist Steering Committee look like, it's, well, yeah, they're a bunch of skittled haired weirdos. You're correct. That's, that is correct. But they're saying that they want to fly people in. They want to pay for their hotel rooms. That, and they, these people worked with Mandani's campaign also. And this is something that he.
Starting point is 01:18:56 has talked about doing. What does it mean offering gender affirming care for people for free? What does that even mean? Apparently, there isn't a distinction between citizen and non-citizen, I guess. I don't know. But this is, that's like, it's not even a health care. That's not health care. That's just mutilation and surgery for the sake of cosplay. And for free means that everybody's going to subsidizing it. So New Yorkers would be subsidizing it. That's what he's talking about doing. Government-owned grocery stores. A guy again who's never worked a day in his life, ever. He's never worked a day in his life. Government-owned grocery stores, free gender care for everybody. What else? Like free everything
Starting point is 01:19:44 for everybody, I think, is what he's offered. That's Santa Claus, a weird messed up Sina Clause. But wait, there's more. So Elizabeth Warren, remember, they used to run away. from these people, now they're embracing them in their party, the fake Indian audio sent by 17 says, oh, she knows, she knows Mandani well. Now they're going to try to settle up with them because they want the shine that comes from his influence with millennials. Listen, the people I know and know well, like Mom Donnie, like Ocasio Cortez, like Sanders, are all in their fighting, and they know what they're fighting for. They're fighting for an America that's not just controlled by a handful of billionaires who dump literally millions and millions, hundreds of millions of dollars into
Starting point is 01:20:34 campaigns. They want somebody who is actually there to fight for them. And that's what I think these races are about. That's what I think the New York mayor all races about. And that's what I think the 2026 races all around the country will be about. I think that's funny that she's so mad over the billionaires. You know that, by the way, that those are the people that have given her more money than anybody you have i mean federal filing show that i mean she's got everybody from craigslist founders to industrial conglomerates that have given her tons of money uh she's got a lot of billionaire backers a lot of billionaire backers
Starting point is 01:21:10 and and this is again it's all you know open it's all open records she's got a history of collecting a lot of cash from billionaires she's uh who is it one of the venture capitalist who's on shark tank is given her money, a billionaire. She's gotten, oh, Pritzkers have given her money, they're billionaires. Pritzker's the founder of GitHub, all kinds of stuff. So she acts like, oh, I'm not going to be swayed by special interests. I'm not going to have, you know, these, I'm not going to have glitzy fundraisers. She doesn't have to, because they're just going to throw money at her anyway. She gets a lot of cash from billionaires. So to hear her talk about this, this woman is one of the
Starting point is 01:21:50 most inauthentic people in all of politics. She started off completely and authentically. She continues to be inauthentic. She pretended to be Native American and was called out on it. I was there. I crashed networks. I didn't crash networks. Years ago, when she ran away from a group of Native Americans that were asking her to justify her claim on being a part. Because when you say that you're a Native American or American Indian, and she was saying that she was Cherokee, you're not just saying that you're of, you know, and she falsely was saying she was of an ethnicity.
Starting point is 01:22:25 She was portraying herself as being like a member of their nation, meaning that they have their own like independent sovereign nations within the United States. It's, you know, it's an odd setup, but that's the way it is. And she was like claiming to be a part of that. And so these tribal leaders are going, wait, what? I was there when they, she ran away. She was supposed to come from backstage at a NutRutes event. And that was when the left was trying to figure out how to counter the right because the right was so successful on social media. And they were trying to figure out how to counter it.
Starting point is 01:22:55 She slipped out the back door because there was a huge group of American Indians and Cherokee tribal members that were trying to call her out and say you, you lied about your ethnicity. You're a white woman. You lied about your ethnicity to get your position. She literally slipped out, because it's her favorite word to use, slipped out of the back door, literally. And so she didn't have to face them. And there were a lot of leftists there that were really mad. And I watched two leftists get into an argument right in front of me because one was defending. her. One was criticizing her. She didn't want to have anything to do with them. She slipped out the back
Starting point is 01:23:29 door so she didn't have to face questions about her false claimed ethnicity. So to hear her say, oh, well, billionaires, she's received tons of money from billionaires. What she's doing here and what some of these others are doing, and this is where you can measure the balance of power. The balance of power is seen in all of these other elected officials trying to cozy up to these people. Like AOC is sort of making it easier for the left to accept Mandani. They launched these softer socialists who seem like they're less socialist so that they can run the real socialist and then see see if the voting block has been softened enough by this representation, a softer representation of socialism so that they can then put their full on socialist candidate out there.
Starting point is 01:24:17 And with all of these people trying to cozy up to him because they're hoping that they're going to get some of that influence. He's only getting a lot of influence only in Manhattan and only with a certain number of people. Everywhere else, he looks like a ridiculous clown. But, you know, people in Manhattan, I guess that's what they're, you know, the stuff that he has proposed up there is going to ruin that city. It would ruin any city. No city can withstand the kind of policies that he's talking about. But I think that they think he's popular and so they want to get, they want some of his shine. So they're cozy and up to him. That's really what this is. That's what this is. By the way, she did fall over. remember she fell over last week on the Senate floor.
Starting point is 01:24:55 She did. I mean, I mean literally fell over. Not like figuratively. She actually did. She like went back into what was it, one of those podiums and fell right over. I think we're going to, we need to have like health checks on some of these older members of the Senate and the House. We really, really do. Now, this is Audio Soundbite 22.
Starting point is 01:25:19 This is going to be. The, it's weird, this is one of the prongs, the narrative prongs that the left is going to use to try to, uh, chip away at Republicans increasing popularity because they've got to figure out how are they going to, how are they challenging, how are they going to limit, how are they going to mitigate the increasing popularity from Republicans? The only thing that they, that they, that they've discovered that they can use, that might resonate with some of those independents that are considering Republicans because Democrats have been so bad is, oh, he's a strong man or he's taking too much power. That's why they're making a big deal out of this redistricting thing in Texas, which is like a normal thing every 10 years. This happens
Starting point is 01:26:04 every 10 years. And they're trying to make it a very big thing because they're trying to convince the independence, well, yeah, we may suck at this. But look at him. He's trying to amass all of this power. This is them showing some of their cards. Audio Sunday 22. They see all this power that President Trump has amassed, and they're very shaken by it. And they're not also really understanding how, not only did they lose it, yes, it was a close election, but they lost every battleground state. And that's something that I think Democrats are still trying to wrap their heads around. Yeah, they lost every battleground state, and that should be your first clue.
Starting point is 01:26:33 I don't think that this is going to go over well either, especially because a lot of these independents were just as mad at some of the gerrymandering that Democrats did before all of this with Texas. But you can see this is they're going to try to portray him as being some sort of like strong man who is just amassing power to abuse. That's actually what they did. But they have nothing else. They have no way to curtail Republican expansion. So they think that maybe by floating this argument, it'll get some of these like moderates or independents that will believe, oh my gosh, yeah, maybe these policies are better. But look, is he amassing all this power? They just want to

Starting point is 01:28:15 All of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick Five. I always like these kinds of stories. So there's this story that's on a mystery, biblical relic that they said it's about the Ark of the Covenant. And it's just the mystery's blown wide open. Archaeologists have uncovered ruins in Israel that they believe once housed the Ark of the Covenant.
Starting point is 01:28:37 And according they were talking about Scripture or it was, et cetera. Nobody knows where the Ark is, but they have a team working at this biblical site of Shiloh. and they unearthed a stone structure that apparently matches the dimensions and orientation of the tabernacle in which the ark was housed in originally described in the Bible. And they said that they discovered this monumental building, et cetera. They were just, they were talking about all of the things that completely matched up to what we know about it. And they said it's not a coincidence. It matches the biblical account to a degree that's impossible to ignore. Very interesting. Very interesting.
Starting point is 01:29:11 Also, let's see. a report shows a fecal indicator. Fecal indicator bacteria found at 92% of Ohio beaches tested in the last year. I was also reading about cordoline and measles showing up in the wastewater as well. This looking at water pollution around the country found a large majority of Ohio beaches tested in 2024 should potentially unsafe levels of fecal contamination. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:29:37 What is the problem? I know. Like use a bathroom. What in the world? I, oh, let's see. This, oh, man. This is in British Columbia. A camper was heard yelling in the woods, but he wasn't in distress, as some thought.
Starting point is 01:29:56 He was actually just singing Nickelback. They literally had a crew arrived because they could hear faint yelling. So they sent out a whole, like, rescue crew. And it turns out it was just a hikers. Hikers called 911. They heard repeated cries. And when they got there, they found that a camper was just literally chilling and singing nickelback. I'm not making this up. It came from the Vancouver Sun. We have our friend Stephen
Starting point is 01:30:15 Yates coming up. Don't go anywhere. Brighten up your timely news consumption with a Dana show podcast where every update comes with a little dash of Not So Serious on YouTube, Apple, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome back to the program, Dana Lash with you. We're at the bottom of this third hour. You can listen Coast to Coast the simulcast of the radio show. You can watch it, Channel 347 on DirecTV. The chats at Rumble. we, I'm just going to go ahead and bring him on. We always look forward to Stephen Yates, because he's so smart, and we probably knows where all the bodies are buried, and that's probably not even a turn of phrase. But you can follow him on X at Yates Coms. He's senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation. He advised two presidents. He's been in two administrations, and he's an expert on so many things, particularly China. He joins us now. Always good to see you, my friend. I hope you had a great weekend. I kind of want to bounce around on a couple of different topics, because one of the things, we were we were sort of touching on last week and it had to do with Gaza and the and and and and and and and and et cetera but this continued recognition of these nations whether it's
Starting point is 01:31:22 Portugal now Portugal now it looks like here starmer that's where they're they're looking at canada's mark carney and then trump was saying that well you know maybe I'm going to reconsider trade with Canada if they're going to sit here and and recognize uh you know Gaza as a as a sovereign state you know Palestine I wanted to kind of get your thoughts on this because I think it's perfectly acceptable to not want a trading partner that legitimizes and sanctifies terror and abandons hostages. But, you know, also, I think, are we the last man standing in the Western world now? Because all of these leaders are folding and they all have their own problems in their own country. Some of their own countries are lost, I think. Your thoughts?
Starting point is 01:32:03 Well, so far with the Trump comeback, we are the first leading country in the post-globalist anti-woke movement. And a lot of these allied countries still have the mind virus and all of its consequences. And they're majoring in minor things. They're not taking on the real challenges that face their people. They're not bringing in real jobs and opportunity. They're not bringing real security, sovereignty, and building upon the traditions that made their countries great or in existence in the first place. They're playing silly games. They're still praying to the sun god of the climate theology.
Starting point is 01:32:39 There's still this tangential issue to them in the Middle East is not as existential in any way, shape, or form, but they're willing to go to the mat and risk really undue consequences over those little things. So, I mean, I think Trump is right to sort of snap a rubber band in their face and say, wise up, there's bigger things going on right here on our own hemisphere, on our own continent. But this dancing with recognizing an independent state within Israel's sovereignty. is provocative beyond belief. And I don't understand why people are doing it on the right, left, or anywhere,
Starting point is 01:33:16 especially when these people have proven willing to elect a terrorist organization to run their government and have engaged in mass slaughter and still are providing no video evidence of the well-being of the people they've kept. So there's just no oxygen in the room for me to have the conversation with these people.
Starting point is 01:33:35 Yeah. And I can't imagine. I don't know why they, I mean, when you look at the neighbors in the area, nobody wants them. You know, everybody saw what happened with Lebanon. Jordan doesn't want them. People have seen what happened previously when their Arab nation neighbors welcome in all these refugees. I mean, for crying out loud, Egypt has a huge, they have a huge border wall, and they send their military to prevent people from crossing over unauthorized. So I don't know why these individuals, these leaders, people like Mark Carney, I doubt Mark Carney's been over the cross.
Starting point is 01:34:09 crossing it off. I doubt he understands, you know, what's been happening in this area to that extent. Why do they think that they know better than these Arab neighbors? I mean, the Saudis and the UAE are even going, yeah, we think that Hamas has to go. We're not going to, we're not going to come here and call for a sovereign state with them in charge. We're not doing it. Why do they think they know better than their neighbors that have been there forever? Well, in a sane world, all the things that you've pointed to correctly would be a wake-up column. Someone might say, well, shoot, maybe there's more of the story that I'm getting. But we don't live in a sane world. And the left, but it's not just the left, is drunk on
Starting point is 01:34:45 whatever their social media feed is giving them. And they're convinced it's 100% right and without question. And they just get whipped up into these narratives and can't mentally get out of the narrative. But yeah, what a novel concept that maybe your country should have a greater military force than the Texas National Guard. And if you're going to dabble in dangerous international security matters on the other side of the planet, maybe you should go there and see things firsthand yourself. Maybe you should go and visit with a hostage that has been held over 660 days in a tunnel and is starving. And talk to me about this starvation plan of the Israelis or whatever after you've done that.
Starting point is 01:35:27 But we're not dealing with serious people. And unfortunately, we don't have serious people electing these guys either. And so we're dealing with the consequences of the kind of idiocracy run amok. And it tends to be more on the left, but it's not only there. But I just find this really tragic because it's pretty clear who the good guys and bad guys are when people fly in and start murdering random civilians on October 7th. That's a litmus test that we're not out of yet. We're talking with our friend Stephen Yates. He's Yates-coms on X.
Starting point is 01:36:00 One last question about this and then a pivot. because one of the things that I think it was either the Saudis or UAE said is that, well, Hamas can't stay in charge of Gaza. The control should, you know, the administration of it should refer to Palestinian authority. But they're all part of the Palestinian authority. That's the thing. I mean, Fata, Hamas, they're all different sides of the same cube. Well, at best case scenario, the people who call themselves Palestinians and are trying to carve out a country or a space, however they want to try to spin it to. today, they have allowed Hamas to take over the host. And so at this point, it's really,
Starting point is 01:36:39 really hard to see what that means, how you can split the solemnic baby at this point. And really, I would just kind of fall back into Trumpism when he's talking about conflicts. He says, first, stop the killing. Second, hold the peace. And if you've got other things to talk about, after you've done those two things, let's talk and find an alternative path to peace and prosperity. That is the most open-minded opportunity these people are ever going to receive from the West, in my humble estimation. And if they can't take yes for an answer on that, then those neighbors who can't be called anti-Islamic by any stretch and have not been engaging in genocide against the Palestinians, they are correct that these people can't govern and they're not safe neighbors
Starting point is 01:37:27 to have. Pakistan and the U.S. finally have an oil deal. And I was watching this because you and I talked last week, I was a little nervous about, you know, Pakistan and India. And I always thought, you know, we need to make sure that we're not spurning India for, you know, I don't consider Pakistan to be necessarily more of an asset than I do India. And then, of course, you know, watching China's, reaction or them trying to cozy up to Pakistan. This is kind of like a punch in the throat to China. How do you characterize this, this oil deal that has been finalized? It's been reported as like a realignment with the area's geopolitical strategy. Is it that significant? Well, unfortunately, in my estimation, there are a lot of mixed messages and cross currents in this. China has doubled
Starting point is 01:38:17 down on a belt and road-like relationship that predates any talk of a belt and road on technology and other kinds of manufacturing in Pakistan, and they are stoking conflict with India by way of Pakistan, and the United States is trying to find ways to engage in repeating a theme, an alternative path to peace and prosperity, so get energy reoriented, try to get them oriented away from China, maybe South Asian peace is more stable. I do worry that along the way,
Starting point is 01:38:47 if we get overly focused on some distracting issues, we lose the larger plot, that India is an opportunity account. It's a billion people with the potential to stabilize global supply chains and be a more responsible stakeholder. It's not perfect today, but it's a heck of a lot more responsible than China. And that is the game that has to be going forward in the future. It's not Russia and China and can we split that condominium. It's can we make a constructive, collaborative relationship with the billion people in India. that will turn the world in a better direction if we can do that.
Starting point is 01:39:26 Yeah, that makes perfect sense with us. This headline, Manufacturing in China has sunk. It sunk again in July. What is this indicative of? Well, I mean, maybe the Bureau of Labor Statistics was on the job, and they've done revision. I don't know. Chinese statistics are always a little bit tough to try to get truth from fiction. But really, I think it's just part of a pattern where a lot of,
Starting point is 01:39:52 of genius economists who have notably been wrong about tariffs and inflation and other kinds of things, but that's the same. They have been saying that China is going to turn toward a consumption-based economy as opposed to an export-based economy. And what this is proving is that there isn't a consumption-based economy in China. The people are so pulverized that they will save their pennies before they over-consume. And the government remains very, very dependent on that. The government remains very dependent on exports, which is why the Trump administration shouldn't really bend too far backwards to reach some kind of a negotiated deal, because they don't survive without access to the American consumer market. They don't survive without remaining a major manufacturing hub. And so we and others
Starting point is 01:40:41 have more leverage than we've realized. That, I think, is the most important thing when you look at consumerism, not living up to being the engine of growth in China. Yeah, there you go. That does it. Our good friend, Stephen Yates, at Gatescom, senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, always appreciate your insight, my friend. You're the smartest person out there on this. So we're grateful for you. Thank you. Good to see you. Thanks so much, Dana. Take good care. You too. Subscribe to the Dana Show podcast. Starting point is 01:41:21 this is that's bad as you would imagine it's Jesus Christ Superstar that they're performing remember and they put Cynthia Irvo as Jesus but that's not even the clip where's the crazy clip where she's like all Nospheratu looking did you see that one there's this clip I sent it I think it's in slack earlier today but where she's like all oh my gosh this is it I mean oh my gosh I'm sorry, she looks like Nosferatu here. She's not an unattractive woman. But it's like she, I feel like she tries to make herself unattractive. It's just like the nails everything and oh my gosh, both of these two.
Starting point is 01:42:06 I just, who watches this? Who goes and purchases a ticket to watch this? Gosh, this is why I hate theater. You know why? Because this stuff like this. This is why I just don't get into it. Oh, if you send me hate mail, I'll shoot a hole through it. Don't even.
Starting point is 01:42:20 but she was like she used to be pretty and she looks like nosphera too now that's just not I'm sorry I don't I'm not sorry actually I don't it's not attractive and you're playing Jesus you're what it's just so blasphemous on its face but just good night Lorraine had photos of what she used to look like before I guess Hollywood got a hold of her like in 2013 She was really pretty. She was really pretty. And she didn't wear an overabundance of eye makeup either. Less is more, ladies.
Starting point is 01:42:57 It's to be a secret between you and your mirror, not a billboard advertisement to the entire world, right? So there's all kinds of beauty sayings. Like eyebrows or sisters, not twins, things like that. Anyway, she used to be really pretty. And I don't know why or who told her that she should, you know, go bald. One of the reasons Grace Jones could pull that look off is Grace Jones was. so, is so unbelievably gorgeous that she could. And she was still hyper feminine and very beautiful.
Starting point is 01:43:28 I'm sorry, but you're not Grace Jones. She's still very pretty. Like in 2013, this is a photo that Juan's getting ready to show you. She was so pretty. So pretty. And then she decided to like shave her head and I don't mind women getting into shape. But when you're purposefully wearing things and you have like super long fake nails to like make your, it's just weird. It's, the, I don't know why women do this. She did not need to do that at all whatsoever. I have a big problem with like pretty people making themselves ugly. Why do you do it?
Starting point is 01:44:01 Stop it. I know it's like the big trend and this is what gets back to the whole war on. Like it's not even, you know, you can joke and say hotness. It's not even hotness. It's about like actual standards of beauty. Not modern standards of beauty, not no qualifier, just boom. standards of beauty. And as though women should somehow be ashamed, that's third and fourth way for you,
Starting point is 01:44:26 somehow be ashamed of being pretty or wanting to be pretty. There's pretty and then there's hot and then there's gorgeous. There's like different levels, don't you think so? Or different, not levels, different ways to describe a look. What is wrong with pretty? Hasn't that kind of fault like pretty? Is that because it's too feminine? What is it?
Starting point is 01:44:47 Why is that such a thing? for women to frown on anymore. Do you know what I mean? Am I like going too deep into it? You know what I'm saying? Like it's one thing to say, oh, they're hot, but oh,
Starting point is 01:44:59 they're pretty. There's a difference. You know what I mean? I don't know. We have this influencer attitude. There has to be a hook, right? There has to be something.
Starting point is 01:45:09 And if pretty is just pretty, what's the hook? There's no hook to it. Where's the earring? I just want to know who told Cynthia Irvo to do that to herself. like she was she like now she legit looks like nice for out to look at her talent agency oh my gosh but she was she was really pretty i don't know that was yeah that jesus christ super star which
Starting point is 01:45:30 was blasphemous already and then on top of it notice how they can do that nobody gets their hides cut off i've tried doing it with any other religion see what that and how that works out for you i'm just saying yeah i don't know we live in such a weird dumb time tomorrow we're going to talk to our friend taron butler who uh had sidney sweeney at his range i think it's great somebody was trying to say that she was trying to be too much of a dude by working on cars. Like, apparently she is into cars. I think some chicks fake it, but she actually is into it and knows her way. Why is that bad? Why is that bad? What is the hang up? Good night. Can these women not complain for one day? I just want us all to have like one happy day where we come together and we're like, gosh, guys,
Starting point is 01:46:14 nothing must stop happen today. Huh. It's crazy. Let's like, you know, It would not, how lovely would that be? We're not so blessed. Seems like a tall order. Yeah, in the meantime. Today in stupidity, Kane, what do we got? It is Representative Jasmine Crockett. Now, Democrats' numbers have been falling in Texas
Starting point is 01:46:34 because, I mean, they're Democrats and it's Texas. But here's what she has to say as to why those numbers were falling. Listen to this one. This is cut number eight. There was a benefit to shining a light on what it was that they were trying to do. in the dark in Texas. So unfortunately, we've seen our numbers fall now that they have these voter restrictions in place. But I do think it's important for us to have a conversation.
Starting point is 01:47:01 The voter restrictions she's talking about, Dana? What do you think it is? It's voter ID. Oh, for the love. That's what it is. So voter ID is now a very restrictive thing and the reason why the numbers for Democrats have fallen. But hey, you got to show ID to go by. I can't believe we're having this.
Starting point is 01:47:20 always have this stupid conversation, are we not? Folks, that does it for us today. I got stuff coming out at you over at Substack, Chapter and Verse. Make sure you go sign up, YouTube, Facebook, like and subscribe. I'll be back with you tomorrow.
