And that's why today I'm signing three separate memos dealing with reforming the Pentagon, reducing bureaucracy, and moving money toward the needs of our warfighters. The first memo, and all three are right from me right here, I'd like it more if he said, you know what we're going to do. I've got to adjust my audio because Fox always has the queerest settings. They do. The first thing that I would do, if I were him, I'd be like, look, this is how this is how this is going to work. We are, we're not going to take a single dollar. out of this budget until we can pass an audit

I don't know if you guys know that the Pentagon hasn't passed an audit seven audits this was something that was passed like back when was this past like 2009 actually no further sound like Charlie from always sunny they have not

they have yet to pass an audit so let I am full of fire today So, God help everybody. We're going to talk about this. We're going to talk about a few things. I'm going to set, look, this is what you're going to know after this first hour. You're going to know everything about this budget. You're going to know what a rescission is, what a pocket rescission is, what reconciliation is, what the process is, what the history is, where your senators stand.

Is it in the weeds? Me, I don't care. If you want to watch Dora the Explorer and swipe or no swiping and you want clickbait regurgitated bottle, you know, bottle blonde talking points, then by all means, go and find some other lowly rated piece of crap that calls itself a podcast. Go ahead. But if you want like the real deal stuff, which we've been doing consistently for years, you can stay with us. I told him full of fire today. Our healthcare system sucks. The budget sucks. It's all trash. Hi. Dana Lash with you are at the top of this first hour. So let's get right into it. So this, what he's talking about and that's all great. That's all, you know, he's like making an announcement about the findings. Is anybody surprised by any of this? No. No one's surprised that there's all this waste, fraud, and abuse. No, Dana, not a single one of us. I mean, that's great. Because, you know, I hate to say it, but this has been, it's been a major problem for some time.

And all, I just feel like there's no, especially with some of the things that have been earmarked out of the big, beautiful, I wanted to say a different B, Bill. the money that's going to be going towards the DOD, was there any accountability with this? Because this is kind of an issue. So I told you, look, we're spending under this new bill that's coming forward. We're spending literally billions more at the Pentagon. I get it. Dina, we got drone warfare.

Then why are we spending like 100 some odd, you know, I mean, we're spending a couple billion dollars actually on manned aircraft when everything's going to unmanned, but that's, I told you, we could get in the weeds with us. That's something different. But here's the issue. Department of Defense spending is totally fine. I mean, I get it. I get it. Right. It's totally fine. I understand the need for defense. It's actually one of the enumerated powers, right? It's one of the enumerated powers, Article 1, Section 8, I understand it. However, that being said, it is not a sacred cow. When you're viewing it through the correct perspective of the enumerated powers, the other thing

you also have to consider is responsible spending, right? You have to look at this through Article 1, Section 8, and you've got to look at it through the lens of correct spending. And it's, like I said, it's fine through this correct perspective. it's bad when you accept that wild defense spending is the only real job of the federal government. It's not a sacred cow. Guys, the Pentagon has failed seven consecutive audits. 20 years after Congress passed a law demanding that agencies audit themselves, they announced their first ever audit of the Department of Defense in 2017. Let me just say this again. 20 years after it was a law that was passed by Congress demanding that these

agencies audit themselves, the Pentagon only announced its first ever audit of the DoD in 2017. The first ever. First ever. The National Defense Authorization Act that was a requirement in 2010 that Congress gave an extra seven years to clean up the books and get ready. That was from Chuck Grassley back in 2017. In late 2016, there were reports that the powers that be buried an internal study that exposed almost $130 billion in administrative waste. And they were worried about it. They hit it because they didn't want Congress slashing their budget. And so back in January of 2017, the government accountability office said there is, quote,

serious financial management problems at the DOD. To my knowledge, this has not been rectified. They hired 2,400 auditors to go over records and examine bases. You know, basically what Doge did with fewer people in a shorter amount of time. So the idea that there's never, this is my thing with Doge. I love Doge and I love what they did. And I think it was great to bring attention to it. But you've had Tom Coburn do the Waste Report for years.

There have been audits of these agencies for years. It doesn't matter. They don't give a rat's ass, folks. They don't care. Your government knows that it is entirely unaccountable to you. They don't care. Give them your money and shut up. So they had 2,400 auditors go through everything.

Now, Congress kept giving them billions. 700 billion in 2016. That was 100 billion more than the budget prior to that. And billions more that was actually initially requested by POTUS back in 17. Now, the first, one of the first initial, well, one of the campaign promises of Trump's first term was these audits, right? and it took them a long time and I mean it took them a long time

and they failed everyone they failed every one. They failed every audit. Forbes, DoD fails to obtain a clean audit yet again. After failing to comply with that act that I just told you

about every year for 33 years pressure was on but apparently not enough for the military to show you where the money went. I mean it's our money. I mean, God forbid. I paid half a million dollars in tax. I'm not even joking with you. I get audited every time a Democrat's in the White House. I don't know. I know the IRS thoroughly. What if you failed? What if you failed? Oh, yeah. What if I failed? Oh, no, then I go to jail.

But if it's the DOD, this is why I don't have enough middle fingers on any of my appendages to give any of this stuff. If you said Dana were taking arms to the streets, I'm like, okay, I'm not joking. I'm there. I'm mentally, I'm there. Physically, I'm there too. I'm there. I'm there. this is the issue. If you fail it, oh my gosh, you're going to jail, straight to jail. Go to jail. You go to jail. You go to jail. That's it. Now, for the last 33 years, they didn't pass the financial audit. They literally did not even know where the money went. They didn't know. I mean, the assets that they have were, this was back, what year was this? I think this was 24. So in 2024, it was estimated. Well, not estimated. It was approximated. That they had a uh in terms of their assets three point eight trillion dollars now the only entity that has more assets than the dod then our military than the dod is jp morgan and chase they have 4.2 trillion ranked by assets do you think jp morgan and chase came do they they got to go through audits and stuff too right yeah they probably pass them huh yeah i mean i do have the stories on that where

they did. I mean, in case anybody was wondering. But not the DOD. Not DOD. Now, before you say I'm a capital ill-libertarian, I will slap you for that. Slap the chicklet teeth right out your face for the drive-bys. Because I'm not. Defense spending, like the one job of our government is actually the one thing I want him to do. I pay taxes for them to kill people and to protect us. That's exactly. I'm very proud of that. Yes. I mean, it's, I'm not proud of the fact that I have money stolen from me and we kind of butcher Jefferson's original tent of a standing military and income taxes that support it, but I digress. So this whole, my whole point of this is that we were, we were promised accountability, accountability. Why in the ever-loving every capital

expletive and caps lock bold italics, why in the world are we giving an entity that has not passed audits for over 30 years more money that we're not going to be able to find later? And what are we given it for a lot of legacy contracts like the stuff that I was mentioning we're putting millions of dollars in like old contracts but that's essentially you're going to get equipment that's outmoded by the time it's deliverable now we are spending more money on unmanned for instance you know aerial offense and I get that but this is insane this is part of the problem part of the problem so I love all the waste fraud and abuse if these rat bastards in DC don't get it together I don't know maybe we should get it together for them. Now coming out, this is what we're going to get into. There's a little

bit of strategery going on in the shadows in D.C. right now as it relates to the budget. You guys know what a pocket veto is, right? If you don't, I'm going to explain it. Because coming up, we're going to tell you exactly where this budget bill is. It's going to add three trillion to the deficit. I'll explain how that number came to be. She's from the UK. She was seized to Sri Lankan airport.

And she was carrying a suitcase full of what they call Cush. It's a drug, a new drug, originating in West Africa. I thought that that was like a nickname for Pot. I heard that from a hippie movie. Okay. But apparently it's a new drug that originates in West Africa. And it just kills tons of people. It killed like a dozen people in Sierra Leone, apparently, this week alone.

And so it has a street value of over three million. She claims it was planted without her knowledge. college. I took one look at her and I'm saying, I don't believe you. Let's see. Ooh, Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis signed two bills against horrific animal abuse, and that's awesome. Why don't you get in there and use some of that multi-billion dollar endowment? I love these freaks who come out of the woodwork and they're like, if we don't get to have taxpayer dollars, then you're a fascist. If we can't have taxpayer dollars, then you're a dictator. I feel like what we have to pay in taxes, we don't get enough in back for that. So I feel like when we're accused of those things, that we should have the opportunity to at least make them honest one time.

I mean, I totally volunteer to show these people what a dictator would do, you know, really. I mean, if he thinks that we live in a dictatorship, Tweaky McTweak face over here, Mr. Dorenged Jack. Frost, I's zombie game of thrones. I mean, if he wants to see what a dictator would be like, we can do that. You know, we can show him what a dictator would do. Because getting taxpayer dollars and being able to use it on the stuff that they're wasting it on, sorry, but you shouldn't, I mean, they're a for-profit entity. Multi-billion dollars for their endowment.

Why are we paying this, you know, miles wide, inches deep, shabby little formerly prestigious institution, all of this, when the money could be spent better elsewhere? Like, good night. Welcome back to the show. That's a big thing here. Let me explain to you something about this bill. I got a lot of people asking about it. So if you are, if you're a subscriber to the newsletter, you already know all of this. You got everything out there.

You're already shutting people down right and left on Instagram, Facebook, because that's what it really is all about. Let's be real. So I started, I mean, no, it's not the most optimistic piece because I don't believe that Republicans are going to cut anything. I would love to be proven wrong, but I'm not a gambler, and I don't believe that they ever will. We are back in the exact same spot that we were during the pre-T party days. And I used to get so mad at the media, and I blasted people when I was on ABC and CNN and all of this. The Tea Party was not a response to Barack Obama. it first got started when George W. Bush was in office with too big to fail and all this other stuff.

We were already out in the streets protesting this and criticizing it and writing op-eds. My gosh, you can Google and go to way back. I mean, I was cited by the Associated Press. I was in my early 20s, like back in 2004 criticizing some of this stuff. So it predated, but the media wanted to have a narrative. So they falsely accused the Tea Party of being like some sort of racial response strictly to Barack Obama, which was one of the stupidest narratives I've ever seen. Yes, he basically

put all of those bad big spending programs that came from the Bush era Republicans on steroids. And so yeah, we increased our protests as a result of that. That being said, we beat them into a hole in the ground in the midterms in 2010. And they kind of learned a lesson,

but now it's like we're all back at that exact same point. It feels exactly like it was, like now, like it did back then. And we have this recent, surgence of this big spending Republican mentality. I've talked about it before on the show. Like, for instance, welfare, let's just pay people to have babies. That work well in Hungary. Actually, it didn't. But let's ignore that because we like talking points, click, click. It's welfare. How well has that worked in this country? Not at all. That's one example. How they wanted us to register our vehicles. That was actually an early draft to this, this bill that's actually in the Senate now. They were actually wanting us to register every vehicle, pay an additional fee, everyone. It's insane. And with this, they've been trying to obfuscate. They're trying to make you, they're trying to conflate certain issues to confuse you so that

you just believe them and go along with whatever they want. Like, for instance, the bird rule, which was passed, you know, eons ago, and you're not supposed to tack on anything that's not germane to the budget, et cetera, et cetera. They've been hiding behind this pretending that we don't notice the inaction in the committees to bring anything else to the floor. Like you've got the green news scam that's still partly funded. Planned Parenthood is still funded, although a mere $20 million has been frozen out of the half billion they receive annually. There's a rescissions package, and this started being reported last night.

Trump is expected to send, or actually yesterday, a $9.4 billion rescissions package, it's 0.1% of what we spend federally. In fact, this is exactly what we spend in federal spending in a day and a half, $9.4 billion. It's one and a half days of spending. so you know oh but dana all cuts are we got to start somewhere okay we've been trying we've been saying that we got to start somewhere for 20 years and where are we my point so this was this is actually the first one of technically they could have done it with the big beautiful bill there's certain things that they could have done with the big beautiful bill but this rescissions package that he is that he's going to propose it's supposed to include

1.1 billion in cuts to corporation for public broadcasting, PBS and NPR. And that's some of the Doge stuff. Because the big beautiful bill, while Republicans could have incorporated certain discretionary items in it, they didn't because they're a bunch of chicken redacted. But this, this recisions package, is going to be some of the first inclusions of some of the more serious doge cuts. And again, 1% of federal spending. And when you look at, I mean, when Doge was estimating what they could save just in just this year alone. They were estimating they could net people $170 billion in savings. They were going to trim immediately out of the gate $170 billion.

So this rescission's request only targets a reported $9.4 billion. And by the way, you know, the BBB raises the debt ceiling by by almost $4 trillion. So there we go. Here's the issue. If you don't do, we all, let me explain what a recisions package is because you guys no reconciliation. Like reconciliation, rescissions also can get around a filibuster, right? It's what they call, it's like a version of an impoundment. It's this refusal by the executive to spend money that Congress has appropriated. And they call it an impoundment. And when you put in a request

to essentially cancel funding, it's called a rescissions, right? And so Congress, it's weird, because it's been kind of litigated before Trump tried something similar to this back in 2019 with Ukraine funding, and that was with a pocket rescission, which is like a pocket veto. So if the executive branch wants to cancel the spending and a certain thing, they have to make that request, that rescission, right? And they can propose it and then Congress can consider it and they can use certain procedures to expedite the process or not, but that's kind of how it does. The president cannot on his own put something on hold legally while Congress considers the rescission proposal. Now, the hold can last no longer than 45 days. And that's in a continuous

session in Congress. So when Congress is at work, you know, they can't have, you know, breaks of no more than three days. And then after that, the law requires the release of the funding. So one of the things that's been floated is the possibility of doing what they call a pocket rescission. So you know that POTUS can put a 45-day hold on a spending, on spending that's, that they want to cancel spending that's been appropriated, right? And they can do that with a rescission. So here's the question. But what if, but what if Podus were to submit this proposal fewer than 45 days before spending expires? It's a strategy. can they essentially run out the clock on the budgetary authorization? And then if they do that,

that money can go unspent or must they, do they have to release it in time for it to be actually implemented before the fiscal year runs out? And so that's this, it's not an official phrase. They just kind of call it a pocket rescission because it's very, it's similar in that regard to a pocket veto. and Congress actually, basically that occurs when POTUS decides that they want to stop Congress from overriding a veto by not taking any action on any kind of legislation that's presented late in a congressional session. And so the reason I bring this up and why I think that this is kind of risky is with a rescission, you know the procedure, right?

You know the process. With a pocket rescission by trying to run out the clock, you don't. know the outcome. So you're comparing a known process to an uncertain outcome. And it's a gamble. You've got to figure out which way you're going to go. The fact that this is even being, and it's being discussed by some serious heavy hitters in the Senate right now. And that's one of the reasons that I was told one of the reasons why this rescission proposal is being slow-wocked is because they're planning pocket rescissions. Now, there's some questions regarded to, regarding the legality. And coming up later on, you know, in the days to come, you know, maybe like

later, like beginning in the next week, depending on what the Senate does, we may have to have a legal expert on because even the lawyers disagree with whether or not it becomes an argument between the statute, the statute, the language, and then, you know, practicality, like whether or not it's feasible, you can actually do it in real time. Like, is this something that is being interpreted correctly? And the reason is because there have been disagreements with legal eagles in everything from OMB to GAO. I mean, they've been fighting with each other. I will

say back in 2019, you guys remember all the hubb up with Ukraine and Trump Ukraine funding? And they were like, oh my gosh, Trump is withholding Ukraine's funding. It's such a fascist. Well, he was actually, that was, he was implementing a pocket rescission to run that out. And he had, they ended up getting,

they defeated him on that maneuver. That was back in 2019. And it was, was, I think it was GAO. I was looking at my, because I have this in our piece that we have up at substack. So that's what the latest tactic is, that's what they're going for is maybe trying to do that. It, it's, they're trying to see whether they're arguing over statutory authority is, is what it is. And whether or not that actually can be implemented because he tried it before in 2019, didn't exactly work out. And so what bearing is that going to have on him if he tries it again with this stuff? And I mean, you know, they could, I mean, it could work. I feel like

there is enough anger with voters right now where maybe they could pressure their senators to do something like this or the House to do something like this. Maybe they could. But we're going to see, but that's essentially what it is. Like maybe if you run out the clock, I mean, is this something that's, you know, going to happen? Is it something they could do? I mean, maybe. We'll see.

But it, you're, like I said, you're, you're comparing a certain known process with a very uncertain outcome. And I don't know. It's a gamble. How insane is it that we got to do this just to get to stop some of this stuff, right? To stop some of this. So it's basically they, want to run out that budget authority in the 11th hour with a pocket rescission. That's what

they're trying to do. But again, let me point this out to you. And this was a, this was back in 2019, August of 2019. And this was like when he tried to do this specifically with Ukraine and a couple of other things. And he ended up getting, he had Steve Mnuchin out there that was really going to bat for it and defending it. But they had to scrap it. He was going to freeze $4 billion in foreign aid. that would have, and it's described as being an in-run around Congress's power of the person running out that budget authority, and he lost on that. And so it's like basically that same formula being applied to this. I don't know if it'd be successful or not because of the president. So coming up, we got a whole bunch of other stuff to get to. We're going to also, you know,

divide up everything that we have with this bill, including how the tax cuts are permanent or not permanent. All the, the tax cuts are temporary in the big, beautiful bill. And I'm going to explain that. We also have some cultural stuff. Also, the revocation of visas of Chinese students and grading for equity in San Francisco. It's insane. And remember, there were mayors that were arrested for pistol whipping people that they kidnapped, child pornography, all kinds of stuff that had signed on that so you know the company you keep so yeah he had lied about it made it up he got called out by all of his former classmates they were like well apparently we were in a school shooting and we didn't know uh and he has been he's been he's trying to david hog himself he he wants to be famous off of the backs of dead classmates although except there wasn't a school shooting that happened

he totally made it up that's like mom's demand when they reached out to a domestic abuser to try to shut me up about Second Amendment advocacy and then they try to scrub their timeline but Dana's faster. Now that's them. They're just a garbage. It's just a garbage group of board boxed wine moms. It's all it is.

that hasn't happened since yesterday it'll be appealed i think it's pretty clear that the president has tariff authority congress gave it to him now you can you can debate whether that was a a prudent move or not. But I think it's pretty clear that he has tariff authority. Yeah. So this again, I think it'll be reversed on the pit. So this is what was announced, when did this hit, like yesterday

after radio is when this came out, this idea that, well, the challenge to the president's authority for implementing tariffs. And they said that there were three deals that

they had ready for the president's decision and, you know, it was like they look like they were done. So he's, so now they've got this International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977. That's what they were looking at as far as the pathway to implement these tariffs with, you know, executively. And now they're being challenged on all of this. The, first off, they were saying that the, I think, what, the rate at which they could implement these tariffs, us is actually supposed to be it's a lot lower than what podis was doing um so i don't know i i think

they have flexibility we're going to see they said that they're going to challenge it that they have a plan be in place that they have a plane be so we're going to see on that welcome back to the program dana lash with you we're at the top of this second hour and as kane said yeah it was about to they were let's just say it say it where you put in the goal is to outgrow GDP to debt right now our debt is outgrowing our GDP and the idea is to get our GDP to outgrow grow the debt. And that will help at least the Fed look at this interest rate situation and be like, okay, we're less cautious. We can lower. We can lower. Like right now, isn't he? I think that's, hold up. Well, they just announced yesterday's stagflation is what Jerome Powell was predicting,

which is, the same as saying nothing. Like right now, I think actually, they are they met, they met just a little bit ago to discuss economic development. So we'll see what that means. So I will see. feels like Powell's been digging in on this though quite a bit right and he's been cautious he's been more cautious than anything so they did signal lowering rates this year at some point but the latest as far as what he was released is still in that cautionary so he hasn't moved the rate in any direction yet so we'll see how this goes so welcome back to the program uh we've had we got a lot of stuff that we're following not just that but it's another is this i don't know i don't know if this so much as judicial activism or because so much of it seems to be there were a lot of questions

over the whether or not his authority was actually there were limitations on his authority with regards to tariffs and so we're going to see some of this you know some of a challenge and they'll push back on some of it all I know is look we can sit here and talk about all of the little back and forth and is this legal is that legal the only reason that we're even having the situation is because of Congress. This problem, regardless of your opinion on Trump or what he is doing about it, has predated him. This has been a problem for a long time, a major problem for a long time. We're going to come back to this.

Can I tell you about this? This is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard in my life. I know you guys have heard about this. Grading for equity. Have you guys heard about grading for equity? So this is one of the things. that they're looking at doing in San Francisco schools to grade equity. They got such backlash on it that they had to start reversing it.

They were launching a pilot program that was going to grade. It was going to reform how they grade, right? It was a pilot program that was going to reform how they graded. And this was per Newsweek. It was a sweeping change. It was going to be implemented. this fall. Now, when this first came out, let me just indicate to you how, or explain how hot the pushback was. Because it was, what's today's date? Today is, what, the 29th? This was two days

ago. So they announced that they were going to implement the changes to their grading system, and it was going to be this fall. And, you know, you have your traditional methods. I think what is a grading scale typically? It's like 90 to 100 is A. right 80 to 89 roughly that's not how it's always been but roughly I don't understand why you would be like well 89 to whatever

no no no the 80s were B's the 90s the 90s were A's the 70s were C's the 60s and the 50s and the 50s were Fs right that's how it is the A plus and the A minuses too yeah well that's towards the end

of the scale so like A plus was like I think 95 and up and A was 95 like in the mid range well I think it was actually 97 and up was a plus or 98 up was a plus and mid range was was a and then a minus was lower into the 90s same thing with b and all that i don't know why we had to make it stupid so anyway you have san francisco public high schools they were going to replace these methods right get this get this get this they were going to allow students to pass with scores as low as 41 percent

percent. And they called it their, quote, grading for equity push. For real. And they attempted a pilot of this in 2023 at, this is in Bay Area, Dublin Unified School. They were going to attempt a pilot program of this. Well, they did. And they, in removed zeros for missing assignments. Oh my gosh, I'm going to throw myself off my chair under the floor. They would literally just put zeros for missed us. They would remove zeros for missed assignments and then they would give a minimum. Oh my gosh, a minimum of 50% for any reasonably attempted work. So if it looked like they kind of attempted it reasonably, you couldn't give them anything lower than a 50. now San Francisco right you would think of all the places where this would fly it'd be San Francisco but I think even nut jobs that vote for needles and feces have limits

the plan apparently so one of the first things that went wrong with this plan is that the superintendent they didn't do what they were supposed to do which was to subjected to a public vote by the board of education so that's number one this affected like 10,000 some odd students it also got rid of of homework, classroom participation that has nothing to do with your final grade. Homework had nothing to do with your final grade. Classroom participation had nothing to do with your final grade. And you basically got your grade on one final exam and you could take it as many times as you need to. Attendance didn't affect your grade. Punctuality didn't affect your grade. Not even kidding. This is what, and this is what they tried to say. This was Joe Feldman. It was a local nonprofit called

that was behind grading for equity. And this is what he wrote, quote, if our grading practices don't change, the achievement and opportunity gaps will remain for the most vulnerable students. If we are truly dedicated to equity, you know, we've got to, I mean, I'm just, I'm shocked by this.

So wait a minute. It is that I think the phrase coined was the bigotry of lowered expectations. If there is a deficiency with any demo for achievement, then why do you not look at those administrating it? And why do you immediately assume that the students are stupid and thus can't meet a higher bar? And so you have to lower the bar because you're just assuming they're too stupid to actually do better. That is so unbelievably offensive.

And it's bigoted. It's bigoted. So, like, you, I'm just, I'm amazed at this. So anyway, long story short, the parents lost their minds as you, as a parent would, right? And they've already, they've, they've already now started canceling it. It's been two days. They canceled it. They said, you're diluting academic standards. Can you, let me, let me ask you guys this. You're in a doctor's office. do you want to have your guts operated on by a doctor that was graded for equity or graded for merit absolutely merit why are you such a racist that's literally that's the art that's this is where DEI gets you this is where DEI gets you wait is it more important to have a doctor who's a doctor and got their PhD and can operate on guts because of merit and the application of skills in the classroom residency, et cetera, or do you want someone who is qualified

to operate your guts solely based upon what genitals they pretend to have? You see what I'm saying? Like, you see where this goes? Okay. They were going to roll this out literally this fall. And I just, I'm just shocked. They actually slammed it in San Francisco. They stopped it in San Francisco. I guess they were just, they were, that's crazy even for them. Now Lorraine says her county does, this is nuts. Listen to this. Lorraine says her county does the same thing. That 50% is the lowest grade a kid can get. Are you kidding me? You can't get a zero. She said teachers have to give makeup worksheets that allowed the kid to pass a class at the last minute. Some kids need a flunk. in our house we were sink or swim in our house if you have an 85 that's an f i consider

anything 85 below an f don't care because you know if you're involved you know what your kids put into it there's no reason there's no reason for you to waste that god given intelligence you have and not be your best and apply your hardest i told my kids life as an employer what you put into it is what you get out of it if you don't want to put into it Anything? Then you're not going to get nothing out of it. And you would rather grind hard for a short period of time in your youth and then reap the dividends later on in life. Why set yourself up for success. You don't have to worry about stuff when you're 50 years old. I'm just in, I can't believe how, now, like she's in Maryland, so that, why does not not shock me?

But in San Francisco, they ended it. And Maryland, they didn't. Wow. And she said that's why so many colleges now, they have to offer remedial reading and math. No, we were hardcore. I don't do the, I'll just do your best. No, I don't do that. I know what you can do. I'm your mother. I grew you in my belly. I gave birth to you. I homeschooled you. I raised you. I know exactly what you're capable of. So we don't do this. Just do your best. Because I know a lot of times your best ain't your best. I know what your best is. It's my job. That's my job as a parent. I know what your best is. So I want to see your best. Not what you say your best is, I want to see your best. So, no, we don't do this.

We've, like, dumbed everything down in terms of education. This is terrifying to think about. Because, you know, one day, when I'm old and decrepit, and I don't want to work anymore, or I'm not fit for camera or whatever, you know, I would like to just, like, live the good life. Can La Dolce Vita? I would like to live the good life, you know? I like to relax and do whatever it is those people do when they get to be that age

and chill and have dogs and go feed the birds and whatever. I think that's probably the most common. But we're not going to be able to do that if we don't have anybody who can't operate on our guts because it's all this equity grading and we don't got no doctors and we don't have nobody that can run anything. Oh my gosh. It's just a nightmare.

This is scary. This stuff is scary. And I don't know what they think they're not serving students that way. A lot of people don't like, they don't like the adversity that that sometimes can create, the trial of having to try your hardest and go through it. Mr. President, Wall Street analysts have coined a new term called the Taco Trade. They're saying Trump always chickens out on your tariff threats, and that's why markets are hired this week. What's your response to that? I kick out. Chicken out. Oh, and then I chicken out. I've never heard that. Because I reduced China from 145% that I set down to 100 and then down to another number.

And I said, you have to open up your whole country. And because I gave the European Union a 50% tax tariff, and they called up and they said, please let's meet right now, please let's meet right now. And I said, okay, I'll give you, till you nine. I actually asked them, I said, what's to date? because they weren't willing to meet. And after I did what I did, they said, we'll meet any time you want.

And we have an end date of July 9th. You call that chickening out? Because we have $14 trillion now invested, committed to investing when Biden didn't have practically anything. Biden, this country was dying. You know, we have the hottest country anywhere in the world. I went to Saudi Arabia. The king told me.

He said, you got the hottest country. We have the hottest country in the world right now. six months ago this country was stone cold dead we had a dead country we had a country people didn't think it was going to survive and you ask a nasty question like that hmm what was it taco yeah that's a i really want a taco now welcome back to the program Dana lash with you bottom of the second hour's potis talking back to one of the reporters that had asked him whether or not taco trade Trump always chickens out on tariffs that's what That's what it was an acronym for, and he answered it.

I mean, there, it's, I get it, it's negotiation. I also understand the nervousness that a lot, you know, businesses, et cetera, feel. We'll see where it goes. I think people are given grace, but that grace is measured by how soon they can get relief with some of this stuff. The tax cuts in the, this is my big thing with this. And I feel, look, I feel bad for Elon Musk in a way. I mean, he's the world's richest man, but it goes to show you that when the world's

richest man tried to go up against the establishment in the swamp, he wasn't able to do it. That's a reality. I look back at that time when Javier Malai gave him that chainsaw, and I think everybody was hoping that we would see like this Malai type reform, and we haven't yet. I'm being honest. Now, look, you know, I give Trump credit for hitting the ground running, but I also think he needs to show some of that border and bad assidry and get out there and start working over these members of Congress and right now in the Senate. So the tax cuts that were sent over, these are temporary. Now, they're temporary because they wanted to be able to achieve a particular CBO score. The CBO score is like witchcraft in a way, a congressional budgetary office. So it's,

it's essentially whatever you feed it is what you say, it's like how you prompt AI, right? You can determine the shade, of AI's bias, or you can even bias AI, depending upon what you feed it, right, depending on how you do that. So that's, that's, that's a big thing. And that's what, how the CBO is. That's kind of how the CBO is as well. You know, it depends on, on, you know, what you feed it. So that's, that's a big issue. You hear Wick in the background. I mean, we got three other people running. around out there for the love of all things holy. So this issue of the CBO and the scoring and all that stuff, in order to cap it at a certain cost, they had to limit the length of tax cuts. So they had to

cap it at four years. So they could get the CBO scoring for a cost. I agree with you. I already hear what you're saying. I don't think tax cuts are a cost. It's not how it's measured economically. Government spending to the cost. But the problem is they don't want to reduce as much government spending. So yeah, you get it at, and you don't have to take my word forward. If you get the newsletter over at chapter and verse, I gave you the link to all of it and you can literally hit Control F and you can just highlight the word temporarily. Google or hit Control F on temporarily. Fill that out and then watch as many times as it comes up with everything. So like for instance, the standard deduction increase, the child tax credit, the increase for that, it reverts

to 2,000 from 2,500. It only goes to 2,500 through 28, reverts to 2,000 thereafter. The new deductions, all of that provisions for tip income, overtime pay, and the auto loan interest, all that expires in 2028. It's all set to expire. Now, the strategy that some are saying is that, well, you know, we're going to do that separately, you know, in appropriations later. Do you really trust that because here we are eight years later after the 2017 tax cuts and we're still talking about the temporariness of those tax cuts. So no, I don't believe them. I don't believe them at all. And that's my, that's my big issue. And I, you know, they say, well, we really can't cut this or this. I don't believe you. You can in certain regards with respect to reconciliation. There's certain things

that you can do. But the fact that we're sitting here having to do tactics like pocket rescissions is insane to me. And we talked a little bit about that last hour. It's like a pocket veto. And it's basically they want to run out the budgetary authority of spending by requesting to cancel it within this 45-day period. And whether it gets legally murky, whether or not you can actually achieve that. That's the strategy that they're trying to implement, though, in order to get some of these doge cuts so that they can make some of these doge cuts happen. And by cuts, I mean canceling the funding for NPR. So when you hear people like Russ Vaught, and he had this soundbite where he talked about this, actually, I wasn't going to play this. It's kind of long, but I want to go ahead and

play this. This is audio soundbite, sorry, 7. He's talking about this. Listen to this. It kind of gets into it. Listen. Rumor has it that we got a big rescission package in Elon Musk, Doge, rescission package coming up. Can you confirm it? I can. We'll be sending that up on Monday or Tuesday whenever the House is back in session, they will get our first recisions bill. And again, this has been proposed, and we've talked about it. We want to make sure that Congress passes its first recisions bill, including the Doge, and we will send more if they pass it. And so this is the first one is foreign aid, USAID cuts, many of the waste and garbage that was funding,

not only wasteful, but hurting our foreign policy, but also the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and NPR. We'll be sending that up and we'll be working with Congress. And we've had good conversations to make sure that they knew what was coming. They had some input as to changes that could be made to make it something that could pass the House and we're excited for that to occur next week. Simple majority, is that what you need up there? Yeah. Simple majority in both the House and the Senate and the virtue of this is that it's a process

that also evades the Senate filibuster. So again, it needs to pass and so we are we are being very careful. This is why the bigger rescission package that we're hearing, and they're talking about this 9.4 billion rescission package, which again is 0.1%. But having a pocket rescission doing that and running out the budgetary authority and by requesting cancellation of spending of like NPR and all that stuff and basically running the clock out, that's the goal. But the fact, again, the fact that they're considering that, as opposed to just a recisions package, a recisions proposal, suggests to me, Kane, that there's not the spying in the Congress to do hardly anything, definitely not beyond 0.1%. That's exactly right. The margins are so thin. A simple majority is even a threat at this point. 51. It's crazy. So I'm nervous about it. Now, they're trying to say, too, go into these tax cuts because lawmakers have used these, they've used temporary tax

cuts before to manage CBO scores, Obamacare was one of them. They used, and it wasn't really a temporary tax cut. They were like trying to slow the rate of growth, blah, blah, blah, all this stuff. The 2001 Bush tax cuts, they did. That was supposed to expire 10 years to fit within the budget parameters. They extended some of them later, but they also increased the deficit way beyond the initial projections that they used to even obtain that score because they had no offset of in terms of reducing federal spending. And that's where the cost comes in. So what they're saying is that, okay, this is how, this is what some of these Republicans, not all, but some. They're trying to bright side this whole thing. Like, okay, well, yes, the one big beautiful bills tax cuts are temporary,

but the purpose of that is we want to reduce the score, the cost up front so we can get it through Congress and make everybody feel okay and not have them worry about the national debt. And then we'll have future extensions. We'll have room for future extensions. And we can do this in appropriations later. But that goes back to what I said earlier. That's literally the argument that they used for 2017. The pocket rescission, how you're looking at it is a definite, you know what the outcome or you know what the process of a rescission's proposal is. But using pocket rescission, you don't know what that outcome is going to be. so that's a big gamble.

And, of course, if they, you know, if they're rushing something through, the argument is if they rush recisions through now, they can't do pocket rescission later. I don't know why they wouldn't be able to. I don't understand that. So, I don't know. I mean, the problem is, is Musk said, he did what he said he was going to do.

At great risk to himself. Yes, he's the world's richest man. But that's not easy. I mean, heavy as the head that wears the crown. Doge did what it said it would do. Republicans ran entire campaigns on immediately reducing spending. I'm mad at the GOP because they lied to you about taxes on social security. They told you that that was going to get done. And then they lied to you. They didn't inform you about the rules pertaining to specifically reconciliation and dealing with social security. And they couldn't articulately defend it within 30 seconds. And so clearly, your rage is completely justifiable and understandable. So, you know, we said that Congress had to hit the ground running, and they had to quickly work with Trump to codify all of this as he was issuing these orders, and they didn't do it. Now, you have Musk who's left, but he said he was going to be leaving in May anyway.

The problem is that the narrative that the media fomented of this divide that did never actually existed between Musk and Trump, I think some in Trump's inner circle that believe that there's a scarcity of opportunity and they constantly compete with other factions. within Trump's inner circle. It's like, it's insane. I think they fed some of it to the, I think they fed some of it. But I also think Republicans fed it the most with their inaction, ultimately. And this is going to affect Trump's legacy. I mean, I just, I'm looking ahead at midterms. I don't want to lose the House because then we're going to lose two years after that to impeachment, witch hunt. And then that will set up for a Democrat presidency in 2028. I want the administration

A booze cruise boat captain rescued a drowning Florida man before then belting out karaoke.

they had a booze cruise and a guy was fighting to stay afloat in the water. And it wasn't a drunk guy who fell, but he, he spilled over a railing, hit a rock trying to reach the water. He was bleeding pretty badly. He was like drowning, actively drowning. And so the crew and the passengers came together. But they karaokeed all the way back to shore, which that's the most Florida thing I think I've ever heard in my life. God love it. So good job, Florida dudes. Let's see. So one ambulance was carrying a person to the hospital and a Florida driver, he was in his SUV and it got smashed between two ambulances as one of them was carrying somebody up to the emergency room. It wasn't caused by the Florida man, though. It was actually caused by the ambulance driver. One of the ambulance drivers hit the back of a Nissan and then sent it in the back of another ambulance and police responded. It was driven by a 23-year-old man.

The person in the ambulance was, I think, a 51-year-old. So anyway, long story short, the force of the crash sent the SUV into the back of the first ambulance. Glass debris everywhere. I mean, it wrecked both vehicles, total both vehicles. Thankfully, nobody was, like, seriously injured. The Nissan driver was taken to the local hospital for evaluation. Even the people in the ambulance didn't get hurt. So that's pretty...

So they didn't send an ambulance for the two ambulances? Yeah, you would have to... Yeah, you would have to send an ambulance. for the two ambulances. Yeah, you're right. You're right there. That is that's correct. That is correct. Let's see. I got to talk about this one.

A Florida man says that he wants to smash you to pieces to a Coral Springs man in a fight over puppies. I mean, who wouldn't fight over puppies? That's the bigger question. But anyway, what ended up happening is Coral Springs, Florida,

this story, stock with your stupid pop-ups. A dispute over family puppies escalated into a violent outburst that led to the arrest of a Coral Springs man. Andre Barone, he pushed his wife into a banister, spat her face, and threatened to hit her with a chair. It was like his W.W.E. The fight, police said, began after the couple's daughter became upset and said she no longer wanted to be part of the family. And I guess it was all over puppies. Somebody injured their thumb, chairs at doors, blah, blah, blah, blah, fear, blah, blah, blah. So she hit back, but both were treated. He was detained, released on bond with no contact order issued.

Over puppies, like, I'm sorry, get your life together. If your daughter says that, tell her to grow up, shut up, and behave. I'm done with this. You don't have to descend into this madness. It doesn't do any of that. It doesn't allow that. It doesn't legalize that.

It doesn't do. This has to do, what do they call? Like the consumables cane. Like the, I don't even know what all. I only heard it talked about like with. Yeah, edibles. I don't even know what all is edible.

It was like, and I'm like, how do you know that you're just not getting a sugar rush from that?

And she's like, and she's not a felon. She's not, you know, it's not killing her. She's not walking in front of trains because she's probably, you know, not any, nothing like that. But you're right. I'm like, and I asked her, I was like, well, how much sugars in it? I can't even remember. She looked at a bag of it And she was looked at the bag

We very much disagree. agree with it about this in my house. I just don't like the government telling you what to do and what not to do. And I got really militaristic about this after COVID when I was told I had to take shots. And I mean, I literally, I miss, I turned down a major professional opportunity in New York City. I had to go to New York. They wanted me to go to New York for a meeting. This was like, you know, right when lockdown started lifting. And, uh, I was. was told that I had to show proof of vaccination to even get in the building for the meeting

that these people had requested and they were paying for it. They were flying me out there and doing all this stuff. And they wanted to have this big meeting and there was going to be like a contract offer and all of this stuff. I just had to show proof of vaccination. And I said, no, I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. I mean, hell, I probably couldn't even get in a cab and gotten there. And I had said, I'm like, I'd already had it. I already had that, which I did. I had coronavirus. I have natural immunity. That apparently didn't exist conveniently for that. Now, I had to show proof of this. So I get really, really, really hardcore about authoritarian forcing of stuff like this. But this idea that you're, people, no one's selling it to kids.

Kids are not buying this any more than they're buying alcohol or cigarettes. And I'm going to tell you something. And I made mention of this on X. Parent, you know, maybe parent. That's the thing. This is stupid. This is like the gun ban argument. Kids are not buying this any more than alcohol or cigarettes or anything else. And if they are, do your job as a parent and parent instead of idiotically expanding government to pick up your slack as a deadbeat parent. Harsh words and I mean every syllable.

Oh, I've raised kids. My kids are actually straight edge. They don't even have, well, one of them is not even old enough yet, but my oldest is. and he doesn't even drink. I have no idea how that happened. He just doesn't. It's not like we're like big partiers or anything like that. Like we'll have wine with dinner, but he just doesn't want to, and that's totally fine.

But, you know, parent, it's not the government's responsibility to make sure that your kids not out there doing something they're not supposed to be doing. I love all of these. Yes, I'm a conservative. I'm limited government. Oh, but I only so much. I need the government to raise my kid for me. Mike, I don't have to worry about my kids doing that because I parented. so no

I mean this is this is just it's I find it asinine and I'm mad because they they could have how many sessions have they had now to do something anything about property taxes oh my gosh they've had plenty of opportunity they've only put forth like Democrat

The streams at Channel 347, Direct TV, got the chat at Rumble, all kinds of good things. We're at X everywhere else. I don't know if you saw this. However how much you loat the media, it's not enough. I think this was the Florida Sentinel that did this.

And Orlando, yeah, Orlando Sentinel. So there was this press conference talking about, you know, Hope Florida, private partnership, private, you know, public partnership with the state of Florida. I think it's brilliant. I don't know why Texas or some of these other red states haven't done it. My gosh, is that not the point of conservative governance? Jim, any Christmas. And the media doesn't like it.

Special interests don't like it because it limits their ability to influence. with cash. And so they had a woman, a single mom who was talking about how she used Hope Florida. She had a facilitator that work with her. And the media went after her. They were smearing this lady. They were attacking her. They were accusing her of being basically like a paid stooge, all kinds of stuff. They said, oh, she, they, Hope Florida paid this woman who posted a video. She was talking about her own experiences. Now, I happened to see this from a couple different people, including that of our next guest, Jay Collins, who is Florida lawmaker, a conservative, real actual conservative fighter, like a legitimate conservative fighter.

He's in the Senate there in Florida, and he's also retired Army Green Beret. He joins us now via video. Senator, always such a pleasure to have you. Love the color combo as well. I saw this on your, you had posted about this and this is where I first saw it was your account, because, you know, it's the media, and I'm never really as sad as this is to say, I'm never surprised about how low they sink, going after a single mom because she was talking about using this organization to help empower herself. What was your reaction when you saw that? Well, I was incredibly frustrated to say the very least.

It would be a bit more succinct that's kind of pissed off. Hope Florida is an incredible tool for those who really need a hand up. You know, for so long, we've had this great society debate. where the government's a solution to the problem. We're going to give you money. We're going to give you handouts. Don't worry, that government's here to solve your problems. But we all know that government is never the solution to the problem.

And ultimately, what Hope Florida is, is a level up on what government should be doing. I love what you said in the lead up to this. This is exactly what conservative states should do. And I say that as somebody who grew up on commodity cheese. My family was in and out of welfare. This makes a difference. It provides opportunity and tools. But to see the Orlando Sentinel, you know, really do this kind of story, a hit piece saying she's a paid influencer and all of that.

How ridiculous can it get? Absolute nonsense. Hot garbage. That's what I called it. That's what I'm standing by. End of story. Yeah. And I love that, you know, your story as well and how you came to be where you are now.

I think that also adds so much as to, you know, the conservative perspective. Because, you know, you know, and I grew up, you know, about as poor as you. get. You know, I know where this woman came from. You know, I recognize that. I saw my mom in that as a single mom. I saw her and I, to hear these stories of someone who beat the statistics and instead of celebrating it. And it's not just the media. You know, there are these other squishes that are out there for whatever reason that just are very hostile to the idea of limiting government for the sake of empowering the individual. Yeah, Dana, you're hitting it on the head. It is incredibly frustrating. We live in Florida.

We are the conservative proving grounds of America. You look at what's been going on. Almost every single thing that's moving across the nation has really started here in Florida. And I'm incredibly proud of our governor. And I'm proud of what our legislature has done working beside him over the last several years. But to see this kind of nonsense right now, to your point, we should celebrate her. That is what government should be doing is bringing good people to good opportunities and getting out of the way. That's what conservatives should want.

That's the winning story, period. And, you know, growing up, man, it's hard. I saw so many people trapped by the government clause of holding them down and being held down to whatever the status quo was. It's just not good enough, man. We can't continue to limit our people and limit our way of life and limit freedom across this nation. This is what we should be doing. Amen to that. I know you all are in a budget battle right now. Where is that at? What is up with Republicans in the budget, whether it's federal or in the state of Florida? I would, I keep taking it for granted, you know, that Florida went so red and became, you know, with so many registered Republicans, not really the case in Tallahassee. What is the budget fight like there for you right now? Well, I'll tell you, we're on day 87 of 60, I believe is the number right now. We are not, we don't have a signed budget yet. We have to have that by July 1st.

That's the cutoff date, right? Or we're going to have to face some sort of shutdown. That's not acceptable. Let me be incredibly clear. This is not good enough. This is not what our people want. It is not what they deserve. And this sure does not meet the standard of our Florida House, our Florida Senate, nor the governor. We know what to do. We have stood for what right is. We know what right is. We've got to get this budget done. Now, there's been a lot of discussion going back, whether it was immigration early on or budget specifics, whether it's property tax versus sales tax or nuances on how we should cut. The reality is we have to get a budget done. We owe that to the people. That is the only thing we have to pass in this and we haven't done it yet. Golly.

And I mean, if you can't do it in Florida, Kane, I don't hold much, I don't hold any hope for Texas. If they're not able to get that buttoned up in Florida, it ain't happening in Texas. And it's really, I mean, it comes down to what, essentially limiting how much money

can be spent by the state government as I understand it. Essentially, right? There's been a lot of discussion. It was sales tax versus property tax for a long time. Now, thankfully, that's been taken off. And we're all hyper-focused

just on really making sure people have the American dream. They can own their home free of property tax. We've got to do the work to get there. That's something that overwhelmingly our citizenry has been behind. You know, we have the Senate working with the governor. The house is kind of on an island right now. And, you know, I don't want to degrade all the people in the house. There are incredible people.

There are people who are my brothers, who do the right thing, who are my sisters, and believe in conservative values. But I think if we all take a step back and focus on what matters, what the people of Florida need, we know what right looks like. It's time to get that way. Yeah, I'm into that. We're talking to Florida Senator Jay Collins. Are you worried about what happens to the state when, when, because Florida Governor Ronda Santis, he turns out here shortly. And there's a lot of questions as to, well, what happens to that strong conservative leadership? Because there were some, it was kind of moderate a little, I mean, pretty

moderate before. A lot of people really like what you and other lawmakers are doing. I mean, people were flocking to the state. I mean, I keep hearing a meet. I have family that moved there. I have a ton of family that moved to Florida. And they love it. They, they love what y'all are doing. Some of my family are major fans of yours. They really like, they really like you. And I know they're all watching now, if they're not watching later. Are you concerned about where the direction of the state goes after that transition? Because I have, I know people are worrying about it. Well, I think we all have concern. We all came to Florida, whether you, you know, your family moved here in the, you know, the 1980s or after or well before, we came here for

the same thing, right? Florida is an incredible state. Under governor of Sanis' leadership, look what we've been able to accomplish. It's been absolutely incredible. We're number one in education, number one in economy, number one in new business development. People are coming here because they like what we've built. And as conservatives from across the country, they're like, look, I've got to flee New Jersey, New York, California. They're killing me. We can't let that fall victim just as fast as they came here. And really, this happened since COVID. Bold, decisive leadership took us where we are from COVID on. It's incredible to see. Am I worried? No, I'm not. Because there are plenty of leaders here in Florida. There are plenty of people who are willing to step up and fight

for our people, for our way of life, and truly focus on what matters. It's just that simple. You know, I'll leave it with this. When the politicians fail, when the academics fail, it's one of a couple people that always step up. It's a working class and the warriors who come to the rescue of our states and our nation every single time. It's no different. Now, your state's leading on immigration,

unmatched immigration you verify. Gold and silver now is currency. That's brand new in Florida. That's awesome. That's incredible, right? You know, it's amazing to see the things we're leading on. Even through a session like this, we're able to drop that and move forward.

You know, we've continued to extend the ban on MRI immunizations. You know, we're talking about a patient's bill of rights and pushing that forward and expanding that to protect people from forced immunizations. It's an incredible thing to fight for. You know, there's so much to love here. But look, man, we were in the same seat as the Democrats not that long ago. And if you want to go back even further, look at the downfall of Rome and cities and countries like that. Oh, yeah.

This can happen. It can happen. I have to ask you, I don't want to put you in a weird spot, but there's a lot of talk about what's next. And your name comes up quite a bit in terms of if there would, if there is an error to the DeSantis legacy there, a lot of people toss your name in the mix. What do you think of that? Well, I think he's got a lot better hair than I do. So, you know, ultimately, I got to throw that out there. But look, it's incredible.

I told you a little bit about my story, but I grew up on government welfare, eating commodity cheese. My family lost their farm. Only in a nation as great as ours, can that rumor even be a thing to be. be thrown out, you know, as someone who's a potential, you know, a guy who comes after DeSantis, that's a big statement. And man, it doesn't hit with softness. It hits with exactly what it should. It's meaningful coming from people. But I'll tell you the same thing that I tell everybody else. When you're talking about jobs like this or opportunities like this, I owe our state, our people, my family, our community, the due diligence to look into it to make sure that

that's something that's good for my wife and kids. I'm a dad and a husband. first and foremost. That's good for my local community, good for our state. And then I'm, you know, that's something that is good for Governor DeSantis and the people around us. And if all those things come into alignment, then it's something you look at. But let's not put the car before the horse. You know, there's no one that's been tapped or tagged or anything else. There's opportunities and more than anything. We've just got to make sure we make a difference. We've got to leave this state better than we got it. See, and when Senator Collins talks like that, that just makes people want him more and put his name out there even more.

Because that's not a political answer. That's the answer of a dad and a husband and, you know, somebody who knows, you know, how real life can get and came from nothing and made themselves in this great country. Senator Collins, Jay Collins, always a pleasure. We'd love to have you back. Anytime you want to tell us what's going on, because I really just kind of want to copy everything Florida does in Texas. And if Texas don't get it together, man, Florida's looking pretty nice. I got to tell you.

I got to tell you. I got to ask you. We have room. I will help you find a realtor. We're good. Florida's got space for you. right now. So what's going on with this marijuana thing? What is that all about in Texas? It's exactly. It's crazy. And I, because it's not even about, you know, like I, not to sound like

Cheech and Chong, it's not even about like a smoking marijuana. I've never even consumed it. I just don't like authoritarianism. And COVID really kind of shook me to my core with seeing how, I mean, I knew government was bad and could be very controlling. But seeing everything that happened during COVID, I have such a hard line in the sand. And this is just about like already a tightly regulated product that they're trying to criminalize after they legalized it. And it seems kind of like a bait and switch. It reminds you what the ATF did with pistol braces. Like it's all good.

All good. Oh, now we're going to change it all. Now y'all are felons. Better get rid. It's like the same argument, the same formula. But like I said, I'm just, you know, Florida looking pretty good. Senator Jay Collins. I'll get you into our media team.

Today's stupidity came. All right. It is Texas's Lieutenant Governor Dan. Oh, boy. Don't you dare. eat a gummy Patrick. Don't you eat them gummy. Woo! Don't you eat them. Listen to the science said here. Cut 10. I understand wanting to protect children, but you have grown adults who are using these products, too.

Is there a way to do this where grown adults could still have access to these products? We don't want adults having this either. What? What are you crazy? Adults make their decisions. You want to go home and eat a bag of this tonight? Yeah. You're here tomorrow? I'll be here tomorrow. We focus on kids because that's where they built the shops.

But adults are buying... Built the shops and the kids? What the hell the sentence? What's happened? The 20 and the 30 and the 40 and a 6-year-old suit. We don't want anybody buying anything off the shelf they could kill them or ruin their mental state. Except for alcohol, because it pays. I mean, except for alcohol, you know, because that special interest money goes a long way.
