Starting point is 00:00:00 . Well, welcome everybody. It is just hours, hours until we will probably know the results of the 2024 election. What a day. So much to get to an incredibly busy weekend of campaigning. We're going to hear from former president Barack Obama. We are going to hear from vice presidential candidate Tim waltz. We will hear from the orange man, Donald Trump. We're not even going to bother with JD Vance today. I just can't stomach it today. It's
Starting point is 00:00:35 just not, you really got to be in a certain mood to be able to stomach JD Vance. And that is not the mood today. Uh, and we will also hear from the vice president herself, Kamala Harris, who I have to tell you no campaign is perfect. Okay. No, you don't do everything right. But she is absolutely crushing when she is given bait to jump into the identity identity politics stuff. She just doesn't give them a crumb.
Starting point is 00:01:06 She doesn't take the bait. And this is Kamala Harris being interviewed during a campaign stop in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend. And she was again asked one of these, you know, it's not that these are bad questions. The question is, do you believe women will make the difference this election? The problem is that when you're a female candidate, you would be the first woman president ever in American history. Almost any answer you give is going to be used to make you look bad by your opponents. And she doesn't give them anything. Check this out. I believe that female voters, women will make the difference in this election. I believe all Americans are going to make the difference. And I intend to be a president for
Starting point is 00:01:49 all Americans. I am working to earn the vote of all Americans, regardless of their gender, race or geographic location. Because listen, I think part of the issue at play right now is we need leadership in this country that recognizes the vast majority of us have so much more in common than what separates us. I think this is part of the reason that so many people are voting for me who may have formally voted for my opponent because they're just exhausted with the approach that's about trying to have Americans point their fingers at each other. People are exhausted with demeaning who we are as a country. This is a degree of on message ness. I think maybe that's I think that's a new term.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Nobody's ever on message ness staying on message. What about women or what about are you more appealing to with the are you more appealing to the Indian people or the black when you became black? As Donald Trump said, no, no, no, no, no. Are you appealing to the Indian people or the black when you became black as Donald Trump said, no, no, no, no, no. I am running to be the president of the United States. That includes people who vote for me and people who don't vote for me. People of any gender, people of any race, people of any, uh, economic or, or, or, uh,
Starting point is 00:03:00 otherwise status. This is the right message and don't let them turn it into, oh, she's trying to just appeal to women and she would be terrible for men or whatever they would do to twist it around. Very well done. And recall that this one from just a couple of weeks ago was sort of a version of the same type of question. You've been reluctant to lean into it, to talk about the historic nature of your candidacy on the campaign trail.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Why is that? Well, I'm clearly a woman. I don't need to point that out to anyone. The point that most people really care about is, can you do the job? And do you have a plan to actually focus on them? I hear you on that. That is why I spend the majority of my time listening and then
Starting point is 00:03:46 addressing the concerns, the challenges, the dreams, the ambitions and the aspirations of the American people. They deserve to have a president who's focused on them as opposed to a Donald Trump who is constantly focused on himself. I think. And of course, this really is we we all understand what's at stake here in terms of identity. If tomorrow, Wednesday, maybe Thursday. Right. I mean, Friday on the outside is what it seems. If in the next 24 to 96 hours, we learn that Kamala Harris has become the president elect of the United States.
Starting point is 00:04:25 It won't be because she's a woman or because she's half Indian or because she's half black. It will be because she offered something more appealing to the American people than going back to another four years of Trump. But we would all recognize what an achievement, what an achievement we, we would recognize, Hey, to my daughter, I would be able to say when you were little for the first time ever, a woman became president of the United States. We had 46 men. And then we finally had a woman, even though half the population roughly has been women for a very long time. That's relevant.
Starting point is 00:05:07 It's historic. It's inspirational. But if you reversed the policies, if all of a sudden Harris had Trump's policies, if she was filleting a microphone during a rally, if she was, uh, making fun of disabled people, if she was doing all the things that Trump does and Trump was the one with the positive vision of America, Trump was the one offering Harris's economic plan, et cetera, right? If you just reversed things, I would vote for Trump over Harris because the identity
Starting point is 00:05:37 is not how I vote, but we all know what's at stake here as far as that goes as well. And it would be a very interesting story. So Kamala Harris doing an excellent job here, staying on message, making it absolutely clear what is going on and what's at stake and hard to fault her for that. Barack Obama dropped a final humiliation on Donald Trump in Milwaukee, Wisconsin over the weekend. And he started with what this is the viral clip. And I want to kind of give you the architecture of this. I'm going to play for you the short viral clip of Obama sort of making fun of the apprentice in a way.
Starting point is 00:06:20 But this was a deep speech that really got to the core of why Donald Trump represents not only things that as individuals we shouldn't want, but things that as a representative of the United States, we should not want. OK, so let's start with Obama just kind of ragging on Trump over the apprentice in talking to people I've realized. So I want to address this. It turns out one of the reasons people think Donald Trump will improve the economy is because they watch The Apprentice. I'm serious. No, no, no. I'm not kidding.
Starting point is 00:06:54 I mean, I've heard these people say this. I happened to miss that show when it was running, but it was really popular. So I want everybody to be clear. I happened to miss that show when it was running, but it was really popular. So so I want everybody to be clear. That was not reality. That was a reality show. The truth is, Donald Trump was given 400 million dollars by his daddy. That's how he got rich.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And somehow his company still managed to declare bankruptcy six times. This goes to the core of what Trump wants us to believe about him. That happens not to be true because the core of all of Trump's claims to be, to being a qualified president, go back to, I would run the country like a business. I know how to run businesses. I was a good business person and we find out he didn't build his business from the ground up. He built it with daddy's money. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:51 That, that doesn't mean it's a bad business. It just means you didn't build it from the ground up, but it also wasn't a particularly good business because of course we have the bankruptcies Trump's claim about hiring people because he's so good at business. He knew how to hire contractors and he knows how to hire people to work for him, uh, as president. And it turns out that wasn't true. And it turns out it was also based on a false claim. This claim of the business acumen has been taken apart again and again and again. And Barack Obama in this speech continued to go at all of the worst stuff
Starting point is 00:08:24 about Trump, including we'll get to it later. But over the weekend, Trump started doing this thing where remember is, is Kamala Indian or is she black? Well, he was concerned or confused about NBA basketball player, John is on to the Kumpo where he's like, well, is he Greek or is he black? Maybe I'm more Greek than Giannis. Okay, here we go. If you are black or Latino and you feel like too often your community is
Starting point is 00:08:53 overlooked by politicians except during election time, I get how you feel, but why would you think the answer is to vote for someone who has a long history of demeaning and disregarding your communities, whose family business was sued for not renting to folks that look like you, who cannot apparently understand how an NBA superstar could be both Greek and black. Who suggests any Mexican crossing the border is a criminal and a rapist. Who spreads ridiculous fantasies that Haitians are eating people's pets. Who just this past week arranged for one of his supporters to tell jokes about black people eating watermelon and Puerto Rico being an island of garbage right there on stage at Madison Square Garden. What Obama is so good at doing and we're taking it, we're going through it now and you're going to see it. Obviously, you could watch the whole speech to get a more detailed picture, but this will give you sort of the waypoints. He starts with these anecdotes, the apprentice.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Oh, give me a break. Then he goes into the sort of bully nature of Trump with these additional phrases that Trump has used about this group or that group. And then he gets to even Trump's claimed accomplishments as president. To some degree, they were either the result of happenstance or thanks to Trump following me. This is Obama speaking now and what I handed to him. Trump's other big idea is to slap a tariff on everything from food to TVs. Now, almost every economist who has looked at this idea says that won't lower
Starting point is 00:10:48 prices, that makes prices higher. And when he's challenged on this point, Trump will brag about, well, look at gas prices. They were $2 a gallon when I was in office. You know why gas was so cheap? Because there was a global lockdown during covid and nobody was driving. And he's talking about it like it was the good old days. Well, for Trump, it really was the good old days through the prism that Trump uses to analyze whether things are going well. Trump was doing daily COVID press conferences, which got, as far as he was concerned, good ratings. That means it was going well. It doesn't matter if people were dying. It doesn't matter if there were no rolls of toilet paper available. It just doesn't matter because that's not the prism through which Trump sees this stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:42 A really good speech by Barack Obama, who expertly goes to each of Trump's big vulnerabilities. And it wasn't just Obama who did this over the weekend. Let's talk a little bit about Tim walls. Tim walls is really good at just ridiculing Trump in a way where you know everyone in the room is laughing at him. They're not laughing with him. They're laughing at him. And in a couple of campaign stops in Arizona, Tim Walls did exactly this.
Starting point is 00:12:14 He is just very good at this type of speech. And all of you, the older folks will get this younger folks. Trust me, they'll come a day. Someday you're going to be sitting on that porch. You're going to be in that rocking chair. And a little one's going to come up to you after been in school where they've been studying the 2024 election. And they're going to ask when everything was on the line and the American experiment was on the line and there was somebody running who asked to be a dictator and to overturn the constitution and talk about using the military against our own people.
Starting point is 00:12:51 What did you do to stop that from happening? And you're going to be able to say every damn thing we could, every damn thing we could walls excellent over the weekend, super effective at multiple Arizona campaign stops. And then he hit Trump for being unable to open a truck door. If you miss this little incident, it was a nice little comedic interlude wrapped up in propaganda. Uh, of course, as it always is with Trump where Trump tried to ride around in a garbage truck and twice just almost missed it, missed the door and almost fell flat on his face.
Starting point is 00:13:27 And here's Tim wall saying Trump, he can barely even open a truck door. What do you think he's going to be able to do as president? He would appoint RFK Jr to be in charge of women's health. He said, he said, Donald said that if you're a woman, he'll be your protector. He can't even open the door of a garbage truck, let alone do this. did. Tim Walls doing everything that JD Vance wishes he could do for Trump on the topic of how do we pay for stuff? What about maybe Trump paying some federal taxes? Is that crazy? Twenty five thousand dollar down payment assistance help that gets you in the door. You want to start a small business. The average small business costs about forty thousand dollars to get off the ground to have your american dream we give a five thousand dollar tax credit right
Starting point is 00:14:32 now for that that's not enough kamala harris is proposing a fifty thousand dollar tax credit to small business owners to get them off the ground now that's a bit of our plan and it's not a concept of a plan. It's a real plan. And and when asked how will we pay for this? For starters, we can have Donald Trump pay his federal tax for a change. Now one correction. Tim Wall says that Kamala Harris's plan offers a $50,000 tax credit
Starting point is 00:15:07 is not, it's actually a deduction. That is a really important difference. If you, if you believed that it was a credit when it's actually a deduction, you would, you would be very disappointed when you file your taxes. So Tim Walls misspeaking, but making a, the point as to the economic policies. And then finally at another campaign stop in Arizona, Flagstaff specifically, Tim Walls saying anybody else looking forward to not seeing Trump on TV anymore? There are so many reasons here, but we've got a chance to turn
Starting point is 00:15:35 the page on Donald Trump. So many reasons. And we'll to vote for Kamala Harris. So many reasons to vote against this guy. But I'll tell you, this one may be petty, but we've earned it living with this guy for nine years. How great is it going to be just not to see him on TV anymore? So excellent campaign stops for Kamala Harris, former President Barack Obama, Tim Walz. We had others, Michelle Obama. We're going to get to all of it. But after this break, there is one new poll. Forget about all the other polls. There is one new poll, a historically accurate poll, which, if it's correct, means Trump's done.

Books, eBooks and audio books are sold thanks to the thousands who have already pre-ordered. There is one new poll from this weekend, which if accurate could mean an absolute blowout win for Kamala Harris and a devastating landslide loss for Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Now, as is always the case, we always contextually analyze polling. But let me tell you what's going on and then we will see what we think. The Des Moines Register poll carried out by Jay and Seltzer finds that Kamala Harris is winning by three in the state of Iowa. Iowa was considered lost for Harris. Iowa is not considered a battleground state. We have polling from Iowa previously where Trump was winning by eight or even 10 and in this new poll, 47 to 44, Kamala Harris is leading Donald Trump in Iowa. I don't want this story, um, about the seltzer poll to become an adjudication of seltzer
Starting point is 00:22:27 versus sparkling water versus club soda. Does club soda always have some sodium? Does it not? Is it bubble size that distinguishes sparkling water from seltzer? What exactly is it that sparkles? Very suspicious. That's not what this is about. This is simply about if it is even close in Iowa, it's probably a disaster for Donald
Starting point is 00:22:49 Trump. Now let's take a look at the track record of seltzer over time. Seltzer has never been off by more than five. Now let's talk about that in context. As you can see here, looking at Senate and presidential past predictions, you find that often Seltzer is right on the money. The year in which Seltzer was off by the most was 2018 for governor where Seltzer said the Democrat was leading by two and it turned out that the Republican won by three.
Starting point is 00:23:19 If we assume that Seltzer is off by five here, that would mean that rather than winning by three, Kamala Harris is losing by two. If Kamala Harris only loses Iowa by two, it would mean that almost certainly Harris wins the vast majority of the swing states because these do tend to move in parallel. Now, before I even deepen the analysis, if there's any doubt as, Oh, should I vote if, if Kamala is winning Iowa, do I still need to vote? Yes. Yes. We all still need to vote.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Doesn't change anything about that. But what this shows, and when you look at some of the internals of the poll, you find that independent women, older women, late deciding women, they all seem to be breaking for Kamala Harris. If we believe this poll, how could this poll find something different than the other polls? And the explanation is hurting, not hurting the cats, hurting the dogs. What I mean is hurting H E R D. There are reports that pollsters are getting results and when they compare their results to the average of results, they go, I have a poll that's
Starting point is 00:24:32 an outlier. Let me re normalize, let me remove the outliers. And what this does is it herds all the polls in a sort of self-fulfilling vicious cycle to look very similar to each other. If it is true that women are breaking towards Harris at numbers previously not acknowledged in polls, if it is indeed true that voters of certain age brackets are actually leaning towards Harris more than pollsters are ready to admit. What the polls would show is a consensus because they're trying to copy each other. That does not reflect reality. So what does this now mean in terms of tomorrow?
Starting point is 00:25:15 Well, if it is true that Harris will either win Iowa by one, two or three or lose it by one or two, that means that there has been a left works, leftward swing of potentially as many as 13 points. Now that's the max, right? If you go from Trump winning Iowa by 10 to Harris by three, that would be a 13 point swing. That's the maximum outside number. It's a fantasy.
Starting point is 00:25:39 It's not going to be that big, but the point is if there has been a swing towards Harris that is significant, then Michigan and Wisconsin certainly go to Harris. Pennsylvania probably does. Georgia probably does. Nevada, Arizona almost certainly do. There are people talking about Florida for Harris. Here's the key word. If I F if Iowa really looks the way that Seltzer says Iowa looks. So we're going to be watching it very closely. If it's even close to true, we'll know by 10 or 11 p.m. Eastern tomorrow because the results in so many states are going to reflect something closer to this than what Trump claims is going on. We do then have to get to the next question, which is, let's say the Seltzer poll is right. Let's say this is going to be a victory for the vice president, Kamala Harris. What happens when Donald Trump late tomorrow night, early Wednesday morning, Thursday says,
Starting point is 00:26:47 I won, I'm the winner. Even if that is not the case, what happens? Well, Kamala Harris was asked about this in Detroit, Michigan. What will your campaign do? Here is Kamala Harris's advice to voters if they start hearing premature election claims. His comments in the past few days seem to suggest, you know, that he's thinking about it. How will you and your campaign respond if he does the same thing again? So here we are on the Sunday before the election, and I would ask, in particular, people who have not yet voted to not fall for his tactic, which I think includes suggesting to people that if they vote, their vote won't matter.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Suggesting to people that somehow the integrity of our voting system is not intact so that they don't vote. Right. And again, I think that it is a tactic. It is meant to distract from the fact that we have and support free and fair elections in our country. We did in 2020. He lost. And the systems that are in place for this election in 2024 have integrity. They are good systems and the vote of the people will determine the outcome of this election. And everyone must know that their vote is their power to determine the outcome of the election and their vote will count. It does matter. Now, that is a great message to voters, to voters. The question many have is what does Harris have? What does the DNC have ready given the likely avenues
Starting point is 00:28:34 that Trump would use to contact contest the election results? The answer from what we've been able to glean and gather is that there are attorneys standing by in every state in which this might take place. There are, uh, in the same way that there are Republican polling monitors, there are democratic polling monitors. There is a national hotline there. I mean, listen, it, it sounds like they're doing more or less everything they can come up with to do. But as voters, it's important for us to remember, if you start hearing claims
Starting point is 00:29:07 of any kind from Trump, wait, wait until it is called, verified, explained by more trustworthy sources. And then hopefully by Wednesday morning or Thursday, we will have certainty about the results and it won't depend on Donald Trump telling us who won. I need to, um, I need to just tell you that there are headlines floating around about something that Donald Trump supposedly said that aren't true. And the reason I'm doing this is we don't want to give them any ammunition to claim that we are promoting fake stories or taking Trump's words out of context. Dozens, if not hundreds of headlines over the weekend claimed that Donald Trump called for the execution of Liz Cheney. I am here to tell you that he did not. Now, Donald Trump did a lot of other disgusting things over the weekend, which I'm
Starting point is 00:30:03 going to tell you about later today. But on the topic of Liz Cheney in a conversation in Glendale, Arizona, with Tucker Carlson, what Donald Trump said is if Liz Cheney is such a war hawk, give her a rifle and send her out to actually fight some of the wars. Now, this this is Trump's claim. I'm going to play the clip for you that generated the attention. Then we'll discuss. And I don't blame him for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb.
Starting point is 00:30:33 She's a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrel shooting at her. OK, let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face. There are those who said, wow, Trump's calling for Liz Cheney's execution. He's not what Trump is saying here is if she's such a war hawk, if she's so willing to send troops into harm's way, which by the way, just because Dick Cheney was, I don't know that Liz Cheney is looking to send troops
Starting point is 00:31:01 into harm's way. But Trump is saying if she wants to send troops into harm's way, give her a rifle and send her out there and see how she feels about supporting these conflicts. If nine people have rifles trained on her, the headline was Trump is calling for Liz Cheney's execution. He didn't do it. Okay. Trump did simulate oral sex on a microphone this weekend. That's true.
Starting point is 00:31:23 He really did that. Okay. Trump did say this weekend he That's true. He really did that. Okay. Trump did say this weekend he wouldn't mind if reporters got shot. He said that Trump did say Haitian migrants are eating the cats. They're eating the dogs. He did say that, but he just didn't say execute Liz Cheney. He didn't even allude to it. The quote was taken out of context.
Starting point is 00:31:45 My message is the following. And hopefully we're at the end of this and MAGA will be done after tomorrow. But we don't know yet. They will grapple on to false stories and we don't need to make stuff up. Trump really did do all those other things I just told you. He didn't call for Liz Cheney's execution and there were headlines everywhere about it. There's no reason for it. We don't need it. Trump genuinely says enough crazy stuff that we don't have to make anything up. So let's do our best to keep the criticisms to stuff that Trump actually did say.
Starting point is 00:32:19 The guy simulated oral sex on a microphone this weekend. Okay. He's just completely out of his gourd. He didn't say execute Liz Cheney. We don't need to spread that story. That's my public service announcement for the day. Let's talk about a game changer in sleep technology. Our sponsor, Eight Sleep and their revolutionary pod for Ultra. Closing out a presidential campaign by performing oral sex on a microphone is not what you would expect a candidate to do, but you got to give it to him. Donald Trump often does the unexpected in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Donald Trump simulated performing oral sex on a microphone. This is a heavily visual clip. I don't know that I really need to describe it in detail to those who are just listening. But the the
Starting point is 00:35:53 microphone stand is now reportedly suing Trump for sexual assault. I'll tell you that. OK, here is Trump. Oh, boy. I'm blowing out my left arm now. I'm going to blow out my right arm and I'm blowing out my damn throat to. So listen, this certainly seems like Trump is violating his gag order. But beyond that, I don't know that the implications of this will be as wide reaching as they should be, other than something is very wrong with this man. And it wasn't just the simulated oral sex on a microphone that sort of raised a lot of eyebrows in Milwaukee.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Trump also went to Milwaukee and he pulled another one of these. Kamala used to be Indian, but now she became black. He did it this time with NBA superstar John is on to the Kumpo, who is Greek and black. And Trump seems to be suggesting that Trump is more Greek than Janice or maybe just that John is isn't as Greek as he claims to be. It's bizarre. Your team is very good. I would say the Greek is a seriously good player. Do you agree? And by the way, there's no chance he could pronounce his name. That's why he's referring to him as the Greek. Who has more Greek in him, the Greek or me?
Starting point is 00:37:30 I think we have about the same. Trump is, I guess, as Greek as Giannis. So maybe the most whacked out rally of the weekend, but not the one that maybe really gives us insight into what Trump is thinking about where this campaign stands for that. We have to go to North Carolina in North Carolina. Donald Trump unraveled over the weekend. He seems to be giving up on the campaign. He was swollen, orange and sweaty, seemingly exhausted and has a sort of defeated attitude, which some looked at and said, Trump's destroying his own campaign.
Starting point is 00:38:15 He only had to keep it marginally more together for 48 or 72 more hours. And here's Trump in Greensboro completely unraveling. You got to look if I don't win this thing after all this talk, I'm in trouble. You please go and vote. I mean, I came here whatever the hell time it is. Who the hell knows? I'm giving you the full board. You wouldn't let me leave in half an hour.
Starting point is 00:38:40 I could have run up here, done it, start screaming, make America great again for five or six times and then leave to the cheers of the crowd. I would have been home sleeping right now. So Trump does not seem to be enjoying this. He doesn't seem to be enjoying it. The one moment in Greensboro that Trump sort of perked up was when a man in the crowd suggested that Kamala Harris is a, uh, I guess street prostitute. I hope I'm not using it. I don't know what the right term, a sex worker.
Starting point is 00:39:11 I'm not sure, but a guy yells out that Kamala Harris works the corner and Trump says he likes it. Oh, uh, she never worked there, but I did. I did a little bit. This place is amazing. She worked the corner was the shout from the crowd, which Trump really liked. As some of you know, Trump, as he may be defeated by Kamala Harris, is really upset that he's not still running against Joe Biden. And he makes that clear during this rally where he just repeats. Where is Biden? Where the hell is Biden?
Starting point is 00:40:07 What happened to that guy? Where's Biden? Tell me, is this the worst administration in history? Where's Biden? The ladies from North Carolina. What happened to Biden? And I apologize for the audio that is, of course, in the recording, not on our end. Trump would prefer to be running against Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:40:27 There's no doubt about that. And if Donald Trump is indeed defeated by Kamala Harris, it will probably stack up as the greatest humiliation to Trump of his life, to Trump, because the idea that the country might choose a nonwhite woman over him. How could that possibly be? Which is, of course, what leads me to believe that he will assert that it was fraud for sure. Trump sort of pretending to let the audience in on a little secret, which is, he says,
Starting point is 00:40:57 the race really isn't very close. Trump is arguing that he's going to win in a blowout because I'm not supposed to say this. You know, I'm going to be like a blowout because I'm not supposed to say this. You know, I'm going to be like the fake news is saying it's very close. It's really not very close. Based on based on what's been happening, it's not so close. We're leading. We're leading in all seven swing states, as you probably know.
Starting point is 00:41:23 And of course, this very much appears not to be the case, at least in Michigan and Wisconsin. Trump does not appear to be leading and it's very much starting to turn the other way. Now, speaking of violating his gag order, making women globally gag, Donald Trump said that he is the father of fertilization during this rally. It it just oh, oh, my goodness. He is not in favor of IVF fertilization. I am. I'm like the father. I consider myself to be the father of fertilization. Remember, we got. Imagine having a long track record of, uh, accusations that you have sexually assaulted dozens of women and you call yourself the father of fertilization, fertilization. Finally, Donald Trump saying one thing during this rally that I sure hope is true, which
Starting point is 00:42:23 is that soon there will be no more rallies. I don't know who to thank for that, but that's a good thing. No, this is coming to an end. These rallies are coming to an end. We've been doing them. Think of it for like nine years. We started a year before.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Yeah. A very dark period in American history. And I sure hope that they are coming to an end. So Trump in Greensboro seemingly giving up. And then finally, a very funny moment I want to talk about from a different rally, maybe the funniest moment from the entire weekend. No, not Trump. Filleting a microphone. That was maybe the most vile moment, but not the funniest.
Starting point is 00:43:01 The funniest moment was Donald Trump talking about how every single one of his rallies is full. There are no empty seats. Nobody leaves the rally. And then the camera pans to the crowd and you see, forget about empty seats. You see entirely empty sections. This is so good. In nine years, we've had the biggest rallies in history of any country. And every rally is full. You don't have any seats that are empty. You don't have anything yet. I mean, the one we had today, you missed beauty. We could have filled that place up 20 times.
Starting point is 00:43:38 I mean, that was beautiful. So now it's zoomed out and you see that the place is half empty. The Virginia. Did you hear about the Virginia rally? That was on Glenn Youngkin did a great job, the governor of Virginia, and they had a crowd there that was incredible. And then we can get this entire time. The camera is panning to completely empty sections. We don't want to be late, but it's very hard when you do these things.
Starting point is 00:44:02 It's very hard. And you don't mind a little bit. We weren't very late. We weren't very late. Just all right. So I don't know that there's too much to belabor here other than we have one person who generally is sticking to the truth this campaign and one person who's lying all the time. Kamala Harris widely, wildly triggered Trump during the presidential debate by saying,
Starting point is 00:44:23 hey, his rallies are boring and people leave early. And Trump said no one leaves early. They're all full. Well, people are leaving early at every single rally. And as you can see from the camera panning around here, it is very much the case that there are lots of empty seats. What this does in terms of the election results, it does nothing. This is just a final reminder.
Starting point is 00:44:44 And maybe tomorrow I'll give like my final, final plea. It's a final reminder that it's time to get beyond the lies. It's time to get beyond the gaslighting. It's time to get beyond all of it. And we can do it. We can do it. I don't yet know what the results will be. I'm optimistic about what they might be, but it depends on all of us saying, I'm so sick of this liar. I'm sick of a guy telling me that in a half empty arena is full. It's emblematic and representative of much of what is wrong with this guy. It's time to vote him out. Now we're going to take a break after the break.
Starting point is 00:45:16 This was sort of like the denouement of the weekend. Trump almost in tears in Pennsylvania and Tucker Carlson suffering from. In a recent interview before the election, Trump said that he didn't think his supporters would cause problems after the election, but that the left would saying the left is the enemy from within and might be needed to be handled by the National Guard. The Washington Times reported this interview with the headline Trump says no chaos from his supporters this election day, which totally whitewashes and sane washes what Trump actually said. Luckily, we have ground news, the app and Web site that provides context on every story.
Starting point is 00:47:38 Like for this Trump interview, ground news provides more context, like Trump's defense secretary said we should believe Trump when he says he wants to use the military against Americans because that's what he wanted to do during the unrest in the summer of 2020. That's why Ground News is so valuable. Our sponsor, Ground News, is an independent, nonpartisan news analysis tool dedicated to exposing the hidden agendas that influence the news you consume. Donald Trump closing out a rally sounding like he is almost in tears and also saying he wouldn't mind if some reporters got shot. This was surreal. It is dangerous, but something is wrong here. This rally took place in Latitz, Pennsylvania, known to some as lit its Trump sounding on the verge of tears as low energy
Starting point is 00:49:07 as we have seen him in months, more or less saying it's not going well. It's not going well. Listen to this. You know, it's a little strange. I'm, I'm a pretty smart guy. I'm a, I'm a pretty smart guy. I have genetic. Do you believe in genetics? I do. You know, fast resources produce fast resources, whether you like it or not. And but I'm I'm a very I believe in it. And I'm smart. I tell the story. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Imagine any other candidate going, I'm smart, guys. I'm smart. I'm smart. I'm smart.
Starting point is 00:49:53 He said, well, probably brilliant. But now even better. I'm smart. Probably brilliant. And we do the weave, right? This is a weave today. They'll say, and this is a very important lesson because I'm trying to tell you what we'll say. He's demented because he just does seem to be. It's happening with our country. It's going bad and it can never get fixed because we're never going to get the right people in because of what they do with the elections.
Starting point is 00:50:21 We're going to get a bunch of, uh, crooks and horrible people. He doesn't sound good. He doesn't sound good. Now, maybe the most dangerous and authoritarian thing that Trump said during this rally is that he wouldn't mind if journalists got shot saying he now stands behind a piece, a piece of glass for the rallies since the assassination attempt, but that they'd have to shoot through the reporters to shoot him. And he wouldn't really mind that very much to get me. Somebody would have to shoot through the fake news.
Starting point is 00:50:59 And I don't mind that so much. Whoa. I don't mind. All summer we were told the left is inciting violence. The left is causing the assassination attempts. When we say, Hey, I'm concerned about the guardrails of democracy in a Trump presidency. Oh, you're inciting violence. And Trump says, I wouldn't, I wouldn't mind it much if they shot the fake news. This is genuinely dangerous rhetoric. It's not a joke. It's not funny. He is calling for supporters to shoot the corporate media. Take him at his word.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Take him at his word. Take him at his word. These are cult followers and they listen to what he has to say. And it doesn't seem like he's learned anything, anything from 2020 other than maybe he could have stayed in office if the riots were worse. He said during this rally, if you can believe it, I should not have left office in January of 2021. But my world's favorite chart done by the border patrol, it said we had the safest border in the history of our country the day that I left. I shouldn't have left. I mean, honestly, because we did so we did so well. We had such a great. He says I shouldn't have left. I mean, honestly, because we did so we did so well. We had such a great. He says, I shouldn't have left. I should have just stayed. Now, this. I try to avoid saying
Starting point is 00:52:35 this one thing is the most dangerous thing Trump said at his rally. He said he wouldn't mind reporters getting shot. That's very dangerous. He said, I should have stayed in office in 2020 rather than leaving. That's extraordinarily dangerous. So I don't know which is the most dangerous, but he's also leaning into pushing these baseless claims that there's already fraud, that the election has already been being stolen from him, which is also as I understand it. I mean, I don't know what's happened in the last day or so, but they in Lancaster, they found two thousand six hundred ballots all done and by the same hand. In other words, the same exact penmanship, the same hand, the same everything.
Starting point is 00:53:17 It was all done by the same pen, the exact same pen. And then they go and they say, well, this is a conspiracy theorist. It's a terrible thing that's happened to our country. And the whole world watches it. Even third. So these are, of course, completely on. It's the boy who cried wolf, except it doesn't seem like we're ever getting to finding the real voter fraud. It's just, oh, they cheated me. They cheated me. I won the popular vote in 2016. Not Hillary. No, you didn't. I won the 2020 election. No, you didn't. They're already doing fraud. Now we have no evidence of that. This is the lowest energy Trump we've seen that we've
Starting point is 00:54:00 seen. And he even brought up it's almost sad. It's like, yes, Donnie. Yes. Again, that there's no empty seats and he mistakes rallies for debates. He's completely discombobulated. I go, because when somebody says something, I think you have to refute it, right? I said, no, my debates never have an empty seat and nobody ever leaves early. Nobody has ever left early. These guys will tell you. Nobody. And I walked off and I said, I killed her in this debate. There were a hundred things, but I was debating three people.
Starting point is 00:54:36 I wasn't debating one. Eleven times or so, they said, no, that's not right. That's not right. You know, they weren't supposed to do that, too, by the way. ABC. It's ABC fake news. CBS, no, that's not right. That's not right. You know, they're not, they weren't supposed to do that too, by the way, ABC it's ABC fake news, CBS, ABC, NBC. Okay. Anyway, he's now just ranting. And this was the bigger theme as the rally went on Trump seeming disoriented and distracted and maybe no more noticeable than in this short clip. Is that Kelly? Is that Kelly? Hi, it's Kelly. Another great person, but does it matter?
Starting point is 00:55:10 Right now, middle of my closing, I see somebody that I felt I had to introduce after years of bill. And then right back on the teleprompter, this became too much for Fox news. And as often as the case, although they want Trump to win, Fox News will often cut the feed, probably accurately judging that Trump does better if they don't show their audience the rantings of this madness. They just announced a fake poll. Hey, think of it right before the election that I'm three points out.
Starting point is 00:55:44 I'm not down in Iowa. I got twenty eight billion dollars for the farmers. Twenty eight billion. Nobody else. There is former President Trump in Pennsylvania. There it is. They are just like that's going to be enough for us. We are all good to go. We have one more day. I will be covering tonight's rallies. Kamala Harris, Tim Walls, Donald Trump, J.D., right? We've endorsed J.P., right? J.D. Mandel. J.D. Mandel. We'll be covering all of it tonight and tomorrow. It's just one more day. I think we can do it. Tucker Carlson now seems to have gone fully into the universe of deep mental illness or willing overt grifter. I don't know which
Starting point is 00:56:36 one it is. This video clip was called to my attention. There is a movie called The Christianities Movie. I guess it's about Christianity. OK. In this video, Tucker Carlson tells the story that he was mauled by a demon while sleeping in his bed, woke up, had gashes in his leg, which have still not healed. Now as we go through this, my question to you is very specific. Is this mental illness and Tucker now is delusional or is this something Tucker is making up because he now is trying to fit into this new role. You know, he's doing prayer on stage with Russell brand and this kind of rehabilitation of Tucker, where this is just a character that
Starting point is 00:57:33 he's playing and he knows these are lies. In other words, does Tucker believe he was mauled by a demon in his bed or doesn't he? Let's listen to this. Do you think the presence of evil is kick-starting people to wonder about the good? That's what happened to me. That's what happened to you? Oh, yeah. I had a direct experience with it. In the milieu of journalism? No, in my bed at night.
Starting point is 00:57:59 And I got attacked while I was asleep with my wife and four dogs in the bed and mauled. Physically mauled. He was physically mauled while in his bed with his wife and four kids and dogs. In a spiritual attack by a demon? Yeah, by a demon. Or by something unseen that left... Is that right? Claw marks on my sides, on my...
Starting point is 00:58:24 So he left physical marks. Oh, they're still there. Yeah, yeah. A year and a half ago. Was your wife terrified? I know you were. I wasn't. I was totally confused. I woke up and I couldn't breathe and I thought I was going to suffocate and I walked around outside and then I walked in and my wife and dogs had not woken up and they're very light sleepers. And then I had these terrible pains on my ribcage and on my shoulder. And I was just in my boxer shorts and I went and flipped on the light in the bathroom. And I had four claw marks on either side underneath my arms and on my left shoulder.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Now, knowing nothing else, what would be the sanest explanation for this? Oh, it was it was your dog. Your dog scratched you. I mean, oh, but the wife didn't wake up. Well, I mean, listen, we, I don't know, but a demon mauled you and no one else noticed or your dog scratched you. What's more likely? What is what does he mean this stuff? I cannot tell whether Tucker is being sincere or whether he is grifting here. They're bleeding. Wait, they were bleeding?
Starting point is 00:59:29 They're bleeding, yeah. They're actual claw marks. And I sleep on my side, so I wasn't clawing myself. I don't have long nails. And they didn't fit my hands anyway. But yeah, that happened. Did he file a police report? So I'm not from a world where things like that
Starting point is 00:59:45 happen. I never heard of anything like that happening before. I had no idea what that was. I knew it was spiritual immediately. You did. Okay. That was going to be my question. Yeah. I don't understand to this day. I'm not going to put it. You didn't, you didn't try to refute the spiritual part in your own mind. It went, you went right into the, it didn't make any sense and it doesn't now. Um, so, but I'm not from a, what do they call it, faith tradition that talks about things like that, or even acknowledges their existence. Like, there's nothing like that. I've never heard anybody say anything like that in my whole life. What was the next day like? Well, the next morning, I woke up, and I thought, that was the weirdest dream I've ever had. And then I saw blood on my
Starting point is 01:00:22 sheets, and I realized that was not a dream at all. I was like, oh, my assistant was like the only evangelical Christian I know, you know, well enough to call with something bizarre like that, totally bizarre like that. And she said, oh yeah, no, no, no, that happens. Yeah. People are attacked in their bed by demons. What? Okay. What, what do you make of it? Well, I mean, I is, is, is Tucker, this would be what I would call severe mental illness or he's lying or he's lying. I don't know the answer. I do not know the answer.
Starting point is 01:01:01 Let's watch just a little bit more talking about. Yeah. Do not know the answer. Let's watch just a little bit more. What are you even talking about? Yeah. So, I mean, I'm not leaving anything out, and I'm not pretending to understand that I can only say what happened to me, and that did happen to me. And then I was seized with this very intense desire to read the Bible, which I then started without any study aids or anything. I bought a Bible that didn't have any, I'm not interested in editorializing in the Bible. I just want to read it and see
Starting point is 01:01:30 what's in there myself. I have very low levels of trust for Christian pastors, most of whom, you know, I'm just not a fan at all. And, uh, sorry to say that, but that's how I feel. And so I just didn't, I don't want to hear other people's opinions. I just want to see what's in there. And I, so I spent a year and a half reading it and then I started rereading it. And now I can't ignore that Russell Brand, who has toured with Tucker, at least appeared at one of Tucker's events. Experienced also a sort of come to Jesus thing. Remember, Tucker had Russell read lead prayer at their public event. So I genuinely don't know. I don't know if this is Tucker's mental illness coming through. I don't
Starting point is 01:02:12 know if this is Tucker saying, here's a story I can come up with. I don't know if this is Tucker getting, uh, you know, a little bit, a little bit ahead of himself, uh, ahead of his skis and getting hopped up on the idea that, um, the interviewer is interested in this story. I don't know what it is, but I leave it to you to tell me what is this new nonsense from Tucker Carlson on the bonus show today. We are going to go through some of the most interesting and important ballot measures that are on the ballot tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:02:43 We are going to talk about the unpaid bills for hundreds of thousands of dollars that are being left behind by Trump to the cities in which he does rallies and some newly released tapes of Jeffrey Epstein saying he has a close relationship with Trump.
