Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello. Welcome to the David Pakman Show. I am clearly not David Pakman. I am Keith Edwards. I'm a Democratic strategist and I host the Keith Edwards Show right here on YouTube. Check it out. There is a lot of news to get through today. Donald Trump hosted an anti-trans bill signing and he was really gross to little girls. Mitch McConnell fell down again, and USAID has been flooded with conspiracy theories on the right-wing media echo chamber. We're going to get through all that. But first, let's get into this bill that Donald Trump signed. Here is Donald Trump asking little girls to gather around him when he signed some hateful legislation. you know if you'd like to get on me i think i'm gonna be okay does anyone see any people of color any are there any i don't see one as someone noted he wants to
Starting point is 00:01:22 be him so bad he wants to be him so that you can't recreate that sort of love that you get inherently from children. I mean, I feel like children and pets, they have a sense of people without knowing much. They can still know a lot and they know to stay away from Donald Trump. And here is Donald Trump saying some. I'm just going to say it. I don't. And, you know, I'm not allowed to say this politically. It could end my career.
Starting point is 00:02:02 They're really beautiful people. These are beautiful people. But but, you know, I'm not allowed to say this politically. It could end my career. They're really beautiful people. These are beautiful people. But you know... Bro. Those are girls. Those are girls. Everything else, it's a little bit different today. You're not allowed to say that because if you call a woman or a girl beautiful,
Starting point is 00:02:19 that's the end of your career. But let's take a chance on it, Mike. Let's take a chance. I'm not allowed to... Does anyone think that's weird? I feel like pretty is the right adjective. Politically, it could end my career. They're really beautiful people. These are beautiful people. Oh, man. Okay. Yeah. And as I said, he just wants to be him so badly. And let's just talk about, can we just talk about this bill can we talk about this anti-trans
Starting point is 00:02:46 bill because i think that the right has totally won the messaging war around this and it's so ridiculous that they're signing a bill to stop trans people from playing in sports because Newsweek did a really great write-up on this last year said how many transgender athletes play women's sports and I was shocked by this number are you ready for this okay how many transgender athletes are in the U.S.? Of the estimated 332 million citizens living in the United States, 1.3 million adults and 300,000 youth ages 13 to 17 identify as transgender. All right. So that's already a super small number of people. 300,000 youth ages i don't even like what like that's a size of like a small city equaling half a percent and 1.4 percent of the population respectively what half percent of the population
Starting point is 00:03:54 they're writing legislation about half but there's not even all of it so they think privacy laws make it hard to identify the exact number of transgender athletes competing in public sports, but research and medical physicist Joanna Harper estimates the number can't exceed 100. Not 100,000. Not 1,000. 100. There are probably more people that have liked this video in the past minute than there are trans athletes competing in sports. A hundred. So all of this hoopla and all this noise is for a hundred people. My question for all of you is, do you think the White House, the Senate, Nancy Mace could be focusing on more important things to help more people rather than focusing all of their energy on writing hateful legislation for 100 people who just want to live life the same way everyone else does. Just leave them alone.
Starting point is 00:05:14 What's that flag, don't tread on me? Just let them live. 100 people. And about this moment, more about this moment, Donald Trump is not, I mean, I'm sure a lot of you know this, but can we just go down memory lane? Because Donald Trump is a creep. And I think we should just point that out. The right, for four years, took out of context clips of Joe Biden and made him look like a pedophile. But this is this is stuff he actually said on TV.
Starting point is 00:05:51 It's not out of context pictures and clips. Here he is commenting on his one year old baby's breast. What does Tiffany have of yours and what does Tiffany have of Marla's? Well, I think that she's got a lot of Marla. She's really a beautiful baby and she's she's got she's got Marla's? Well, I think that she's got a lot of Marla. She's really a beautiful baby, and she's got Marla's legs. We don't know whether or not she's got this part yet, but time will tell. Oh, my God. We want to know a little bit more about you guys, so we play this game here.
Starting point is 00:06:19 It's called Fave Five. I'll ask the question. Ivanka, you answer first, and then, Dad, you answer also. Okay, Ivanka, what's the favorite thing you have in common with your father either real estate or golf donald with your daughter well i was going to say sex but i can't relate Oh, man. So I feel like we should be focusing on legislation around pedophiles, not anti-trans bills that demonize a hundred people, a hundred people. not forget who was on jeffrey epstein's plane multiple times multiple times do you think he was just on there to get some nuts no of course not donald trump wants to release the uh rfk files the jfk files i believe the mlk jr files doesn't want to release the JFK files, I believe the MLK Jr. files, doesn't want to release the Epstein files. I wonder why. For this next story, I actually want to start with a definition. I think this is the best way to start. What is gerontocracy? Gerontocracy is a form of rule in which an entity
Starting point is 00:07:41 is ruled by leaders who are significantly older than most of the adult population. In many political structures, power within the ruling class accumulates with age, making the oldest individuals the holders of the most power. Those holding the most power may not be in formal leadership positions, but often dominate those who are. In a simplified definition, a gerontocracy is a society where leadership is reserved for elders. I want to bring that up because we have another story where Mitch McConnell has fallen down stairs. And he didn't just fall down once. He fell down twice. And who can forget when he literally stroked out on TV. Imagine, for a moment, if Joe Biden did this.
Starting point is 00:08:32 This week has been good bipartisan cooperation. And a string of... It's sad to see like there's some like what's really stunning what always has stunned me about this moment as obviously is the fact that he's stroking out in front of everyone it's that everyone is used to it it's like this isn't new Like maybe this has happened a lot behind the scenes, but this isn't new. And he does not look well. He does not look well. I am not ageist. If you can do the job, you can do the job. We need people who have experience to guide those
Starting point is 00:09:19 who are younger and have new ideas who do not. But this is not okay. This is not okay. And it's not just a Republican problem. I'm going to quote my own substack for a moment called No Lies Detected. And Democrats make up 15 of the 20 oldest senators and 15 of the 20 oldest representatives in the House and the 18th, 118th Congress. And when it comes to just like the overall age of our leaders versus the age of our populations compared to the rest of the world,
Starting point is 00:10:05 Americans are some of the youngest people in the rich world. Americans are some of the youngest people in the rich world. Yet, our elected leaders are easily the world's oldest. The average American is 39 years old, which is great for me because I'm 39, though I'm about to be 40 in two weeks. In two weeks, pray for me. While the average member of Congress is 59 a 20 year gap
Starting point is 00:10:27 japan has the oldest citizens on average 47 but their elected leaders are positively pre-teen by comparison 56 fully 18 of our legislators are over 70. No other country's total exceeds 8%. That is how we get moments like this because people cling on to power and they won't let go. And they should just be at home because Mitch McConnell is getting hurt. He's falling down stairs, but they should let go because Mitch McConnell is getting hurt. And it's not funny, frankly. It's just, it feels like elder abuse. Let like, I don't know. Do they not have family they love? Do they not have a life they love that they have to do this job that frankly is not easy. It requires a lot of energy. You have to be doing it all of the time. And I don't know about you, but I, I'm tired
Starting point is 00:11:41 with just through a eight hour day. Imagine having to work all the time and having to constantly pay attention to the news cycle. Here's a bit of what happened. Mitch McConnell, 82, taken away in a wheelchair after falling twice. Mitch McConnell was escorted out of the Capitol in a wheelchair at the Capitol on Wednesday after the 18-year-old senator fell twice in short succession. One of McConnell's falls occurred on stairs outside the Senate chamber. Quote, it caused panic and looks to flash across his congressional staff and security detail reported the Hill. He was able to walk on his own to a Senate lunch, but then he fell again during the lunch meeting.
Starting point is 00:12:27 My God, he fell again. Can I just play a meme? Is that okay? There's some more color on what happened mcconnell fell in a room landed on his side was carrying plate of food may have bruised his face and let us not forget that this is an ongoing problem senator diane feinstein said she was never gone after she had been gone and hadn't been voting. She said, quote, I've been here and I've been voting. Not true. Not true. And another Republican, it was reported just a couple of weeks ago, Republican congresswoman who had been missing for six months, was found to be in a dementia home, a living facility for people who are elderly who have dementia. So I just think, maybe call me crazy, I don't think Congress should be a waiting room for heaven or hell, depending upon who we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:13:48 It has to be the place where the best and brightest and most creative and biggest thinkers go to fight for the ideals of the people they represent, not fight against health and digestion. It's sourced from 250 year old tea trees, which means it's as nutrient dense as tea can get. I love Peaks black puer tea. It's nice and bold, perfect for after meals. That the right, who is all about guns, religion, God, the constitution, elected a lawless man who is a former liberal Democrat from Manhattan.
Starting point is 00:17:47 And consistently has shitted on our military and especially our generals. And Donald Trump has not stopped doing that. In fact, he's gotten worse. This next story is just repulsive because of just the lack of any humanity, what he did to our Coast Guard leader from her house with three hours notice. Yeah, that's the administration we have right now. Trump fired Linda Fagan, got to be careful of that name, the first female Coast Guard commandment on his second day in office. A Trump official told her she had three hours to leave her house. I'm just going to go through some of this with you. President Donald Trump's administration evicted former Coast Guard commandment Linda Fagan from her home with three hours of notice on Tuesday, not even enough time to gather her personal effects, according to two people
Starting point is 00:19:06 familiar with the incident. Fagan, a four-star admiral and the first woman to lead a branch of the military, was removed from her post on the Coast Guard's top officer on Trump's second day in office. Officials of the Homeland Security Department, which oversees the Coast Guard, cited border security issues and an excessive focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion among the reasons for her dismissal. She was named in 2022 and was a convenient target to flex his muscle because it's easier to fire her than it is other branches of the military. Throwing her out of her house on short notice went a step further. It was petty and personal, one ally said. But a DHS official countered that it made sense for her to move out of her home
Starting point is 00:20:01 at Joint Base Anacostia Ball balling she was terminated with two weeks ago and she was still living in those admiral quarters the official said confirming that fagan had been told to leave the official said they could not confirm or deny the three-hour timeline this is just who donald trump is it's just senseless cruelty for no other reason than just to be cruel. Because what? I mean, sure, fire her, I guess. That is within your right. If you want to fire someone because of diversity, equity, inclusion, in other words, he fired her because she's a woman. I guess go ahead and do that. But to do that and then kick her out of her home, what I didn't read was that she didn't even have a chance to move her belongings. She has to hire a service to do that for her. And they could not find out where she is now. But she is being provided
Starting point is 00:21:08 housing, though no one could confirm what that housing looks like. And imagine just imagine, imagine getting kicked out of your home with three hours notice. What would that feel like? Especially when you've dedicated your life to serving your country. And then the person who leads the country says, get out of your home because you're a woman. But of course, that shouldn't be surprising because Donald Trump has a history of attacking our generals. for some reason, four star generals. He's attacked Colin Powell, John R. Allen, Martin Dempsey. He said of John R. Allen, they had a general named John Allen and he, I never met him, Trump said, and he got up and he started talking about Trump, Trump, Trump, never met him. And you know who he is? He's a failed general. Okay. When Colin Powell died, he said this.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the fake news media, Trump said in a statement released on that Tuesday of the death. Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic rhino, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace. Yeah, he said, but anyway, may he rest in peace. But that's why Donald Trump needs a lackey and frankly, alcoholic, like Pete Hexeth in the Department of Defense, because he doesn't respect our military. And frankly, they don't respect him. And that is one of the more worrying aspects of Trump 2.0 is that he does have someone in our military who is willing to do his bidding. So he has forever attacked our military professionals, people who have served our country for their entire lives, dedicated their lives to protecting our nation. But really, the only person he wants to have
Starting point is 00:23:34 protected is, of course, Donald Trump. It appears Senate Democrats have found their fighting spirit, finally, to oppose Donald Trump's corrupt government and Elon Musk's incredible takeover of our financial system. There's reporting that at least three dozen Democrats are planning to take over the Senate floor starting last night for 30 hours to oppose Trump's budget office nominee, Russ Vought, who, by the way, that name might sound familiar because this is the architect of Project 2025, which, by the way, they're 100% doing that shit. Donald Trump put, I don't know how the media continued to believe him when he's a known liar, but he's doing that shit. So Russ Vaught, remember that name because we're going to be hearing a lot more of it.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Now, of course, we don't have the votes to stop him from becoming OMB director, but we can at least slow it down, which is what we should be doing. We should be making everything as painful as possible. Here's a little bit more of what's happening. At least three dozen Democratic senators will take part in a 30-hour talk-a-thon to show they are fighting to stop Vought, a key author of Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation's far-right policy blueprint for Trump's second term. Project 2025 calls for drastic cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. It also calls for a freeze on all federal grants. Hmm, interesting.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Didn't Donald Trump try to do a freeze on all federal grants? He tried to do it last week, says this article, but he had to rescind it because it looked illegal and left countless federal programs in disarray. He is the architect of dismantling a federal government, said Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii. He said of that, a thought in a message on social media on his way to the Senate floor, quote, harming us with Medicaid portal shutdown, with Head Start shutdown, with agencies illegally stormed and the servers being seized. OK, I've got a clip of a strategist talking about where we are going from here. But before we get into that, let's just talk about this quote for a second, because he is harming us with Medicaid portals shut down, with Head Start shut down, with agencies illegally stormed and the servers being seized. Do you think any of that resonates with the American people?
Starting point is 00:26:20 Medicaid portal shut down, maybe Head Start shutdown, maybe. Can we just like Democrats are so ready to defend process and institutions and government structures and federal employees, which all noble, but the thing Republicans do so well, they speak to not to someone's mind. They speak to their heart. And instead of Medicaid portals shut down, that's not a person. Like, why can't we say, like, making it so that people could die from not having access to their health insurance. I work in politics. I don't know what Head Start is. So I guarantee you, Bob in Pennsylvania, if he ever reads this quote, it's going to go over his head.
Starting point is 00:27:20 And illegally stormed and the servers being seized. I just think people going in there and taking your money, having access to your private information, who knows where it's going, still probably doesn't resonate as much as it should, but at least you're speaking to the immediacy problem for other people. This isn't about process. This isn't about a website. This is about how it's going to impact the daily lives of Americans. And the more that we can make it known that we are trying to defend people from experiencing pain, and that pain is on the way,
Starting point is 00:28:02 we have a much better shot of winning the hearts and minds of Americans, which we have to do, because sadly, we kind of lost the game in November. All right, here's one strategist talking about this. It's a black screen, but it'll be color in a second. Like 2017, nor should it. We're not the same country. It's not the same type of law.
Starting point is 00:28:28 So protests in the streets is not. It might happen. It might happen at one point when there is such overreach. I mean, he's already done a lot of overreaching right now. But when something happens where people just say enough is enough, you're going to see litigation. Litigation is already happening. You're going to see people stand up new organizations that have different tactics around media and whatnot.
Starting point is 00:28:49 You're going to see protests in the streets. I think you're going to see work in blue states and in red states on around like in the elections next year. It's not going to it's not going to look like what we saw where millions of people in the first week go to the Capitol and protest. And I'm OK with that. I think the other thing, though, is that this is a moment for Democrats to find the people that are truly being impacted by the policies of Donald Trump and give them voice, give voice to the working class that we just talked about who are going to be impacted. Waffle House just increased the price of each egg you buy by 50 cents the last i checked why why do you know why they did yeah because they killed a bunch of uh yeah there's a lot about chickens apparently
Starting point is 00:29:36 we heard about that in the break so i wouldn't uh well i'm gonna bug in here for a second the reason why egg prices are going up is because of bird flu that Donald Trump has already been mismanaging. But eggs haven't gone down. To your point with the impact on people, let me just read this from Ron Fournier, Smart Voice. He talks about the risks for Democrats. He says overheated or faux outrage in defense of unpopular institutions is out of step with these times. Even for those voters repelled by Trump's machinations, there is often something appealing in the change he espouses, if not with popular policy earlier, this woman here reiterated it, is that we have to be the party who defends people and who is speaking up for the people who cannot speak up for themselves. Because yes, Donald Trump and Elon Musk, and I don't know how they do it, but they wear the hat of populism and that they're fighting for the everyday person. That lie can only last
Starting point is 00:30:53 for so long because it is very clear. If you saw his inauguration, there weren't working class people behind Donald Trump. It was the richest people in the world behind Donald Trump. That is who Donald Trump is for. And all of these decisions and changes they are making isn't to make life better for you. It's to make more money for them. And the more that Democrats can stop focusing on the specifics of what's happening and talk about the broad impacts, I think the better off we're going to be this year, especially going into 2026. If you watch or listen to my show, you're probably more knowledgeable about news and politics than most people. And you can turn that into cash through our loyal sponsor, Manifold.
Starting point is 00:31:48 It's the app and website that lets you win cash simply for predicting what happens next in political news. It is completely free to play. Think of the predictions you've made that have come true. If your political predictions on Manifold are correct, you win what they call sweep cash, and each sweep cash is redeemable for one US dollar. Your correct political predictions turn into real cash. Very simple. Manifold gives you free sweep cash every single day. You use it to make predictions to win more sweep cash. You never have to spend a dime to win real money. You can even make predictions for cash on non-political things like the Super Bowl this
Starting point is 00:32:31 weekend. Go to manifold.market slash pacman and you'll get free extra sweep cash just for signing up to get you started. Again, no purchase necessary to get sweep cash or to win cash prizes, but you can go bigger if you want. Use my link to get 40 sweep cash plus 5,000 mana for just 20 bucks. That's M-A-N-I-F-O-L-D dot markets slash Pacman. The link is in the podcast notes. Ever walk into a store and have absolutely no idea what wine to get? The link is in the podcast notes. you directly to the world's finest independent winemakers so you can get award winning wine delivered straight to your door. With my code Pacman, you can get six bottles for just thirty nine ninety nine. My girlfriend likes white wine. I know I'm more of a red wine guy, even if I'm
Starting point is 00:33:39 generally clueless. So we usually get the split box from naked wines, which has both naked wines, believes that great wine is an experience. And they're all about helping you connect with your friends, family, community over a shared bottle of wine. You get background information on each bottle. So when I have friends over, I can actually tell everybody where the wine came from and sort of sound like I know a little bit of something. And you can pause or cancel at any time. Head to naked wines dot com slash Pacman and put in my code Pacman for both the code and the password for six bottles of wine for just thirty nine ninety nine with shipping included. That's naked wines dot com slash Pacman code Pacman for six bottles of wine for thirty nine ninety nine.
Starting point is 00:34:29 The link is in the podcast notes. It's honestly rare these days to see anyone attack Donald Trump or the billionaires who support him from the billionaire class or the mainstream media. So it was surprising to me when I saw Bill Gates do just that yesterday on CNN. Now, it wasn't the most aggressive form of attack I think you could see from one of the richest men in the world. It is really interesting to me that it is the people who have, let's call it, fuck you money, who are able to say fuck you to anyone in power. People like Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates are instead saying fuck you to us.
Starting point is 00:35:32 But Bill Gates did speak up about Elon and his right-wing shift. Interestingly, Elon Musk has not responded to this yet. So I wonder if that is for a reason. I want to ask the audience, why do you think Elon Musk hasn't actually responded to this attack? You were in another interview recently. I think you characterized some of the stuff Elon Musk has been saying about the right-wing government in Germany as insane. Just the idea of him supporting particular very right-wing parties.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I'm surprised by that. I'm very careful to say Elon's super smart. His private sector work is fantastic. I'm surprised the number of things he states opinions on. I've always had friends around me who make sure I don't spout off on too many things all at the same time. You were in. So, yes, the Musk is supporting a far right group in Germany that is the closest thing that they have to Nazis at this very moment. And I think the answer to Bill Gates question is he's not sure why. I think I know why. And I don't think this is insane.
Starting point is 00:37:01 I'm just going to say it. I think Elon Musk thinks that he can take over the world. I truly believe that. I's through taking over right-wing populist movements. And that is his end goal. He wants to take over the world and then ship us off to Mars. Bill Gates continued his line of attack here at the tech community writ large? The government for the safety net. And we're not supposed to have agencies go bankrupt. In the private sector, it's great that companies disappear and other companies take their place. But when you're counting on a department to, say, enforce safety rules, to review drug safety, things like that, you can't be as take as many risks as you do in the private sector.
Starting point is 00:38:17 The tech community. So there he is talking about Doge and they're wanting to move fast and quote, break things. And he's right. This is not the private sector. Companies can live and die because we can always have more companies. We only have one federal government. And frankly, I don't want the government to turn out the way that Twitter did when it became X. I don't know if any of you use Twitter or have used Twitter or use X now, but X is a wasteland now. useful. You used to be able to actually get news on it. If something was breaking, you could find a trusted source and know exactly what's happening from anywhere over the world, around the world. And now it is just, the content there is just useless. And it's just really a tool for propaganda. I mean, I guess it's useful for Elon Musk, but it doesn't make any money. And the app itself is very broken.
Starting point is 00:39:39 So if Elon Musk has one intention, and that is to turn the government more into a tech company than it is a government, it's scary to think what his end goal is with doing that. Were you aware that the biggest scandal in American history was uncovered yesterday? Yes, this is according to the right, because USAID, here it is, the biggest scandal in news media history. No employee at Politico got paid yesterday. First time ever that happened, that company missed a pay period. This is a crisis. Now we learn Politico, a news company, which spent the last 10 years trying to destroy the MAGA movement, was being massively funded by USAID. Oh, my God. Trump and Elon deleted their funding.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Now Politico will go out of business. The corruption is endless. Good riddance. Benny Johnson uncovered the biggest scandal in American history. Only one problem. None of that is true. This is so inaccurate, it's laughable. That $8.2 million was spent by government agencies on Political Pro, a subscription service that tracks legislation.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Of that, USAID paid $44,000. Once again, the people who complain about fake news are so often the worst offenders. Donald Trump fired off a tweet, spreading the propaganda even further. Looks like billions of dollars have been stolen. Oh, God, he spelled stolen wrong. Stalin at USAID and other agencies, much of it going to the fake news media as a, quote, payoff for creating good stories about the Democrats. The left-wing rag known as Politico seems to have received $8 million. Did the New York Times receive money? Who else did? This could be the biggest scandal of them all. Democrats are perhaps the biggest scandal in history. The
Starting point is 00:41:37 Democrats can't hide from this one. Too big, too dirty. Here's just more in covering it. The right-wing media is melting down over the erroneous idea that Politico is secretly funded by USAID. Here's the backstory. It is really funny that they missed payroll because of tech issues, but they did. So it helped fuel the conspiracy theory. And MAGA supporters took that as proof that Politico is secretly bankrolled by USAID, whose programs have been suspended by Trump. They seized on USAspending.gov pages showing the entire U.S. government paid Politico $8.2 million last year, wrongly assuming all that money came from USAID alone. That money appears to be for Politico Pro subscriptions, which cost thousands of dollars a year. Nonetheless, lots of MAGA personalities still mad. Dana Lausch wants to
Starting point is 00:42:31 protest at Politico's office. I hope they protest. What we are experiencing here, Noam Chomsky called manufactured consent. And that is the shaping of perception through propaganda to make people accept falsehoods as truth. And this isn't a new idea. The Atlantic has a great podcast. You should check it out if you haven't. It's scary. This title here is called The End of Democracy Has Already Begun. The podcast is called Autocracy in America. Here's the part that I want to explain to you, because this is a lot of what we experience now in the media, especially in the right-wing media, is this sort of crap where they create a lie, they reinforce a lie, people who know the lie is a lie spread it because it is in their interest to be in on the lie than to point out that is a lie.
Starting point is 00:43:35 In Russia, the president's plane crashed down and a lot of military and political leaders were in it and died. It was an accident and the black boxes were found and it had been discovered it was pilot error. But the late president's brother said that it happened because of political opposition in Parliament. Okay. After the president's brother won election, the conspiratorial party,
Starting point is 00:44:04 all the people suddenly thought, well, you know, they won. They must be right. The conspiracy must be true. And even if it's not true, it is in my interest to repeat it. Doesn't that sound familiar? So when people ask stuff like, do Russians really believe in Putin's propaganda? And Applebaum says it is actually the wrong question, completely wrong. Because here, and here, here is the interesting bit. Because, you know, if you think about belief as a set of beliefs that you thought about, and you've worked out, and you've decided that represents you, these are your thoughts, what you stand for, that matters in a society where your opinions matter. But here, it's the other way around.
Starting point is 00:44:46 You say that which marks your belonging in order to feel some sort of psychological comfort. But tomorrow, if the line changes, then you'll believe that. So that is what we are experiencing here, where these MAGA personalities are pretending that there's some grand conspiracy theory, when in fact, it is just basic subscriptions. Here is Axios just repeating it. It says, appears 24,000 of the 18 million from USAID came or went to Politico, but it was just for the cost of premium subscriptions. That's it.
Starting point is 00:45:29 This is paywalled content that goes deeper on policy and industry and costs thousands per year. It's a niche product, and that's all there is to it. They tried doing it with this. But unfortunately, or fortunately for us, it was it was a conspiracy too far to spread. Breaking Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey Epstein was paid by USAID as a director. Are you ready to see what's next? Okay, so Jeffrey Epstein apparently was paid in 2023.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Jeffrey Epstein died many years ago. LOL. Learn how to do a little bit of research. This obviously is not the same Jeffrey Epstein. There's more than one Jeffrey Epstein. My God. Now they think USAID was sending money to Jeffrey Epstein, not realizing that it's a different Jeffrey Epstein. We are honestly in parody mode. These guys are so fucking stupid. It's an entirely different and living Jeffrey Epstein. As this person said, do you not stop and think to wonder
Starting point is 00:46:45 why USAID would be funding Jeffrey Epstein five years after his death? But like I said, this is not about, this is not about the truth anymore. This is about showing you are willing to lie to help expand the power of your party and especially expand the power of Donald Trump. And that is why this is an extremely scary moment. Because, for instance, that plane crash in Russia and our plane crash here, it no longer became about the facts. It became about the politics. And whatever Donald
Starting point is 00:47:27 Trump says is then true. And you can see that even with the expansionist rhetoric Donald Trump preaches now, because America first used to mean getting out of wars and used to mean focusing on making America better, being an isolationist. But now MAGA is very quick to say, actually, Canada should be the first state, 51st state. We should own Greenland. We should invade the Panama Canal. Pete Hegsa said all options are on the table, including sending our military. And now Donald Trump says he wants to own Gaza. And MAGA is totally fine with that because it's not about principles or policies. It's about believing the next lie and showing that you are willing to debase yourself and say and do and jump as high as Donald Trump tells you to. And if you do, you may be fortunate enough to become Kash Patel or Tulsi Gabbard or FK Jr. or Pete Hexeth. That is the end goal. Access, money, power.

It appears the only person who thinks that
Starting point is 00:51:53 taking over Gaza is a good idea is Donald Trump himself and perhaps the most extreme idiots on the right, because every single country that I can think of that's a powerful country has come out against this decision because it's illegal and it's impossible. Those are two big reasons why Russia came out against it. China came out against it. These are not countries that typically like to disparage Donald Trump. Countries Donald Trump actually wants to be in their good graces. So it could potentially be that Russia and China are the reason why this stupid plan, this illegal plan, does not happen. Before we get to that, here is Jessica Tarloff from Fox News kind of explaining this mess. In its entirety. But you cannot say to all the neighboring countries that they just need to make room for millions of people that they don't want. Why not? Then you are the world's policeman. Then you are interventionist. Then you are going back
Starting point is 00:53:03 on every promise that you made on the campaign. You want to bring them to the United States. They don't appreciate our climate. So what should we do? Let them live in rubble and hate the Westerners and hate everyone else and the Jews? Where are you shipping? You can't make Jordan open up. You can't make Egypt open up.
Starting point is 00:53:19 You have to step up. And it's smart. It's not about forcing Jordan or anyone else. It's about making people realize that for economic success in that region, we need to have peace and a rebuilding of Gaza. Yes, it is an insane proposition for the American government to say, all right, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, here are 2 million people, you've got to take them. Also, it's completely hypocritical just for the Trump administration because isn't his whole thing
Starting point is 00:53:56 about not accepting immigrants in the United States? We're trying to ship illegal people. There's no such thing as a legal person. That's their language. From America to Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela. So it is the height of hypocrisy that Donald Trump now wants to take people who actually have a home,
Starting point is 00:54:26 take them out of their home, make them refugees and immigrants, and force them upon countries that don't want them. It is insane. And I have to say, I'm not the only person who thinks that. There are also many country leaders who are saying very similar things. Speaker Johnson said Trump saying America should take over Gaza was cheered by people all over the world. Well, that wasn't quite true, now was it? Here is the German foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, saying the expulsion of Palestinian civilian population from Gaza would not only be unacceptable and contrary
Starting point is 00:55:12 to international law, it would also lead to new suffering and new hatred. China said, China has always maintained, this is crazy to me, China has always maintained that Palestinian rule over Palestinians is the basic principle of the post-war governance of Gaza. We are opposed to the forced transfer of the residents of Gaza. Any forcible transfer, I'm trying to get this up for you, any forcible transfer in or deportation of people from occupied territory is strictly prohibited. The Russian spokesperson said on the necessity of the two-state solution, this is the thesis that is enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolution. This is the thesis that is shared by the overwhelming majority of countries involved in this problem. We support it and believe
Starting point is 00:56:13 that this is the only possible option. And then the UK prime minister said Palestinians must be allowed home. Quote, they must be allowed to rebuild and we should be with them in that rebuild on the way to a two-state solution. I want to know where in the world Speaker Johnson thinks people are celebrating this because it doesn't exist. It doesn't exist. It is a stupid idea. Do you know how dumb your idea has to be for the Kremlin and China and Britain to agree with you? That's not great. And here is Mark Cuban kind of hypothesizing what he thinks is going to happen.
Starting point is 00:57:05 I can see it now. First, you build hotels in Gaza. Then, of course, you go to the Ukraine, find nothing but the best land and rebuild. You can train the staff at Mar-a-Lago. That is so true. And I just think about where this leads us on the world stage and how people and countries and leaders can no longer trust America. I thought we were done with this forever war stuff in the Middle East. My hope is that this is one of those stupid ideas that Donald Trump wants to do, and then he gets so much pushback
Starting point is 00:57:41 that it doesn't happen. That is my hope. My cynical take is that let it happen because there's one thing Americans don't want them, putting our troops there, potentially having soldiers die so that Donald Trump can build a condominium. Go ahead. Go ahead. I just think it's insane. And if he wants to be insane, let the American public know what it is they actually voted for. All right, for this last story, let's talk about, can we just talk about RFK Jr.? I know it's not the sexiest story, but I just wanna, I came across this video.
Starting point is 00:58:38 This man is likely going to be the next HHS secretary in charge of vaccines, our health and science for our government. And he is not well. He is a not well individual. I saw this video and I knew I had to bring it to the David Pakman show audience. Look at this. Do you know what that is? Do you know what that is?
Starting point is 00:59:14 Do you know what that is? That is blue coloring dye for food. He's putting in his water. This is pseudoscience. Here is what they think it cures. It mitigates any radiation burden, whatever that is. Protects against oxidative stress, whatever that is. Antiviral, so you don't catch a cold.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Wow. Why don't we all drink it? Boosts autophagy. Fasting on a flight. Okay. All right. He's also apparently drinking a crazy amount there. Of course, none of those things are true.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Here's just the rated community note. Studies shared by the original poster was literally done on male rats. This doesn't mean humans would have a similar reaction. More studies would be needed. There is little to no evidence methyline blue has any of these listed benefits. Okay. RFK Jr. also does this thing called grounding, where he walks around barefoot. Here he is coming out of a flight, a first class flight where he came out of a airplane bathroom barefoot. Does that seem healthy to you? Side note, do you think it's okay to be barefoot on a plane at all? I mean, obviously, it's gross as hell to go into the airplane bathroom.
Starting point is 01:01:14 I'm just thinking of the backslash, oh my God. The things an airplane bathroom floor has seen disgust me to think that you would travel anywhere near it with your feet barefoot. But do you think it's okay to be barefoot in the bathroom or barefoot at all on a plane? It's disgusting. And of course, there's also this moment here where RFK Jr. was naked as his wife, because it's all a grift, promoted. No, you can't take a shower. I'm doing a video. No, no, no, I'm doing. You've got to give me a second.
Starting point is 01:02:00 I'm doing a video for Heinz and Young. Promoted candles, Maha branded candles, body sprays, and creams. And just if you're not worried enough already, this was his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, who said that IVF is a scam and the best way to become pregnant is sunlight exposure. Referring to IVF, including funding some truly wacky ideas
Starting point is 01:02:45 like examining the effects of two hours of morning sunlight on reproductive health. These are the people who are going to be leading our science and health. I mean, the vaccine stuff is just so, it's just so low-hanging fruit. There's so much wrong with this man. So much wrong with this man.
Starting point is 01:03:10 He's drinking blue color dye. Yeah. So thanks so much for watching. I really enjoyed co-hosting again. Or not co-hosting but uh filling in is uh the david packman show guest co-host thank you all for the um really supportive comments the community here is just really incredible and i'm very grateful that i had the opportunity to share um some analysis and news with all of you and i I will see you one more time tomorrow.
