glitched badly and stunned his audience. Trump says he was at the Democratic National Convention
18 months ago and a Democratic friend of his came up to him.
wearing a chain with an ID on it.
Wait a second.
Trump thinks he was at the DNC.
What is Trump talking about?
Again, he is completely disoriented and confused.
Take a look.
When we had the convention not so long ago,
a friend of mine came over and he actually is a Democrat,
if you can believe it, but he's a friend of mine.
I'm sure he voted for me.
But he had the biggest identification card I've ever seen.
He had like a chain, and the thing was like this,
like he was a prisoner,
or a murderer, you know where they put the picture up, the number.
And he had more stats about himself.
He had his picture.
He had everything.
They might have even had a Social Security number.
But they had that because he's a Democrat going into the Democrat National Convention,
like 18 months ago.
And he came over and he had the card.
I said, what do you do with that thing?
It's massive.
Are you strong enough to even carry it around your neck?
And yet they do that.
and you go to a grocery store you need identification.
What the hell is this guy talking about?
Is he talking about a Democrat, but he actually meant that the Democrat went to the RNC?
Or is Trump so deluded that Trump believes that he himself was at the DNC?
We just have absolutely no idea.
He's delusional.
He doesn't know where he is or what's going on.
Milo Yanopoulos spent years demanding this massive immigration crackdown far more extreme,
honestly than even what Donald Trump was proposing.
And then Donald Trump's immigration system came for Milo Yanopoulos,
who has now been deported.
Take a listen to what he had to say about the experience.
I didn't really understand the physical reality of how institutionalized
the brutality is in America.
The manner in which they arrest you, they put your manacles, your hands, your feet,
chain it together.
I mean, like, everybody is arrested.
like an MS-13 gang member and it hurts a lot more than it looks like on television.
You know, I was put from, from, you know, detention facility to a correction facility.
You know, every three hours, they were sort of trying to keep ahead of my lawyers so I couldn't, you know, whatever.
But no one would tell me anything.
It was, I mean, I know it's designed to be like that, but it's, it was, sure, it was humiliating and it was disorientating the rest of it.
It was physically degrading.
It was frightening.
It was frightening.
I don't think I've ever been frightened like that before.
You all know me.
I don't take pleasure in somebody saying they were traumatized.
There's a political point here.
And the point is basic human empathy is supposed to allow you to understand that something
could be horrible even if it doesn't happen to you.
Mike Johnson repeatedly said this is going to be brief.
It's going to be manageable.
It's a skirmish.
It's not a war.
Whatever happens to energy prices will be.
be very temporary. And now more than six months into it, CNN's Manu Raju confronted the speaker of
the house with his very predictions and asked a really straightforward question. Should Americans
be judging you based on the predictions you made, which were wrong? And his response is your
question is stupid. On Iran, you said repeatedly that this war was going to be over soon. You said
that this would be a temporary blip on short-term, on gas prices.
It is similar than six months.
People are getting hurt still at the pump.
Should the American public people not also judge you on your projections here that were clearly off-base?
Manu, that is one of the stupidest questions you've ever raised.
Why is that super?
I have nothing to do with the prosecution of the war across the globe.
You are responsible.
You are selling this to the American public, are you not?
So should the House Speaker be held responsible for their duration of a military conflict around the globe?
You answer that question.
I mean, you called us a short-term scrimmage.
It is costing billions of dollars.
So many elected officials for decades in this country have told us it'll be quick.
It'll be contained.
They won't retaliate.
They don't have the ability to retaliate.
The costs will be manageable.
It won't do much to energy prices.
And every single time that those predictions fail, you almost never see anyone come back and go,
hey, you know what?
I was wrong about that.
Now, apparently Donald Trump was watching Meet the
press yesterday where Kristen Welker described his record of political endorsements as having mixed
results. It's an uncontroversial claim. Donald Trump tries to run up the score on his endorsements
by endorsing people once the obvious winner is already clear. And when Kristen Welker point out,
uh, Trump's endorsement record sort of has mixed results, it's sent Trump into an absolute rage
where he posted the following wall of text. How can anyone be allowed to say this working for freely
given public airwaves? Uh oh. It's starting to sound a little authority.
I'm not a authoritarian, results are attached because of this purposeful inaccuracy.
She will be reported to the FCC.
I'm going to report you, okay?
She'll be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment.
The president of the United States heard a journalist characterize his political endorsements in a way he didn't like.
And his response is, I'm going to report you to the FCC so that you can be punished.
Donald Trump was saying, I think John Ossoff might lose in Georgia.
Asoff's going to win, by the way, but put that aside for a moment.
But he can't remember Assoff's name.
And so what does Fox News do?
This was not a live interview.
So they cut this up after.
Fox News covers Trump looking confused when he can't come up with the name
Asoff.
And then Gowdy quietly goes,
Asoff.
And you can hear it in the background.
And Trump goes,
Pee-Wey Herman. Take a look.
I've ever seen? I think actually Mike Collins has a good chance in Georgia. A lot of people
don't know about that, but I think they can, I beat that candidate before.
I call him Pee-Wee-Herman. He's like Pee-Wee-Herman. I beat him before on a congressional race.
I had a candidate running against him and they asked for help. Trump cannot remember the name
of the Democratic senator that he is talking about and Trey Gowdy has to whisper it to him and they cover it
with B-roll during a pre-taped interview. Somehow we ended up with the vice president of the United
States sitting down with Bryce Crawford talking about the end times, talking about how the Antichrist
might be among us, and how confident is J.T. J.D. that he is going to go to heaven. What I'm trying
to focus on is doing as much of God's work as possible right now. And if that leads to the end times,
Okay. This is the vice president of the United States. Now, I don't want to focus on his belief in God.
What I am talking about here is not JD's belief in God. It's the combination of he has massive
political power and he has this casual apocalyptic thinking. He is a heartbeat from the presidency.
They're making decisions about war and nuclear weapons and Iran, Israel, Russia, potentially the lives
of millions of people. And he's in a position of power. And he goes, I think I'm doing.
God's work. And if it leads to the end times, so be it. That's it. We deserve some follow-up questions.
This fact, what the vice president is saying. Now, Trump used one of the, you got to hand it to Trump.
He'll sometimes come up with these phrases that I've never heard before. He came up with the phrase,
I genetically believe. I genetically believe in space because my uncle was smart. Take a look at this.
I had an uncle who was a great scientist, a great man.
He was at MIT for 41 years, Dr. John Trump.
And he loved space.
He used to tell me about space, space, space, soul space.
He would throw in the word nuclear every once in a while.
But he loves space.
So I guess we have genetically, we sort of, I believe in that stuff.
I love it.
I find it so interesting, so amazing.
It's very special.
Trump's uncle was a brilliant scientist,
and therefore Trump inherited some of the
some kind of hereditary commitment to the existence of outer space and it's genetic?
Something new that DeSanctus is trying is losing his mind because a woman heckled him and yelling
about George Soros. Take a look at this.
Four million more residents than New York State does and New York State, hey, Soros isn't paying
you enough because you're not very good at this. You should try again. He needs to pay some
better talent instead of having people like you show up.
This ain't my first rodeo lady.
I've seen it all and you ain't very good at it.
What is he doing? Like look at the anger. This is the governor of Florida. He's been in politics
forever. He's run for president of the United States. And a lady yells at him and suddenly he's
screaming uncontrollably about George Soros. This isn't my first rodeo, blah, blah, blah.
The math of the day then got really wacky as Trump went back to this idea of, I've cut the cost
of drugs 400%, 500%, even 600%, of course, mathematically impossible.
We've slashed the cost of dozens of commonly used medications and ultimately everything, all drugs.
by price differences of 400, 500, and even 600 percent.
Drug prices have gone down and will go down 50, 60, 70, 80 percent.
There's never been an announcement like that.
It won't get covered.
If it were a Democrat sitting here, it would be the biggest story in the last 20 years,
but it won't get covered.
But that's why I speak up.
I have to speak up.
And the people behind me speak up also.
This is not really a.
show about fourth grade math or even third or fourth grade math. It's not, it's just not what the
show is about. It's about algebra. No, it's not a show about fourth grade math. But if something
costs $100 and you reduce the price by 100 percent, it's now free. You can't reduce the price by
400 or 500 or 600 percent. There are Republicans who have realized he's screwing us and we want
nothing to do with it. So CNN put together this remarked.
remarkable compilation of Republicans saying, we're not going.
Or I think I might be busy that day.
Take a look at this.
Are you planning to go to the Republican Convention next week?
I'm planning to be in my district.
Are you going to the Republican Convention next week?
Are you going to the Republican Convention next week?
I have to be in the district because I have events.
I would love to go.
I was thinking about it.
I'm going to miss out on something important, but I cannot be into places at the same time.
This is incredible. I mean, Republican after Republican can't make it. I've got to do my sock drawer. I've got too many loose socks that have strayed and I need to rematch them up. I've got to wash my hair. Individually, maybe a lot of these Republicans do have legitimate scheduling conflicts. But collectively, give me a break. These people understand the political problem that they're facing. Take a look at this.
You can see Trump's right hand and arm suddenly twitch or jerk while he's standing there.
And according to a new Daily Beast report published through Yahoo News, similar movements are now being
regularly spotted by Trump at all sorts of events. And the person raising the alarm is Dr. John Paul
Garrison, a clinical and forensic psychologist who comments publicly about the visible behavior
of Donald Trump. And what Garrison did is looked at the footage from two recent appearances
and said these are distinct spasms on one side. And he believes that these are involuntary physical
movements. That'll wrap up our best of the week to make sure you get all of our content,
