She has the most sensational voice I've ever heard. She's got a gorgeous like jazzy voice. She genuinely sounds like Ella Fitzgerald. It's crazy. She has the most gorgeous voice. And she started doing this series where she sings Sondheim songs, but in like a jazzy way. So I'm like oh my god this is so exciting

and then she came out with an EP this is the first song on the EP like a short album like five tracks and I'm like obsessed with it

I'm gonna have to listen to this girl is she on Spotify yeah okay yeah she's just so good and as I'm like walking

through and I'm like it's autumn it's like cozy my little jazz is in love her I'm loving it i'm gonna have to listen to that yeah our record recommendation for this week is we did a cheeky little pub quiz at ept now ept is a nice pub called east putney tavern but the locals call it

ept yeah yeah now i've got to say i'm gonna crown both of us with a war tear please i'm gonna crown katie with the best pub quizzer i've ever been in the realm of that really means a lot and i would be the worst i i shit you not i get i think there is i'm just like there was a chemical elements question and they were like we're looking one that ends with e and e and kids like guys guys guys i've got it in sodium i've got it i have got it oh god yeah you nailed it you love the pop quiz i love it she nailed it and i was like do you know I find, do you know what I loved? And what I did nail is the song round. When the lyrics came on, I was like, okay, I can do this.

Okay, do you want to take over? Yes. Let's debrief. Okay, so this week we are doing something a little different. Our topic this week is all about tarot cards. So this has been a hot topic on our tongues recently. We have been discussing tarot cards, tarot reading. i think this has been since we saw that tarot film in the cinema we need to go in october yes yeah where we where it was like a horror film based on tarot cards now let's define what tarots are for people that aren't unsure so tar tarot is playing cards. They're traditionally a pack of 78

with five suits used for fortune telling. Apparently, especially in Europe. Oh, interesting. The suits are typically swords, cups, coins, or pentacles, batons, or wands, and is a permanent suit of trumps. So we asked the debrief if they've ever had any interesting experiences

Love it. She's got these oracle cards and she was like, oh, I was stressing over this and I pulled a card and it answered it. interesting because i wish i could read like tarot tarot because the oracle cards like they come with a guide you pull one it's got all the meanings and what it kind of has but tarot cards i feel like is so much more specific oh really because you pull multiple and try and piece together what the cards are trying to tell you story-wise would you go to get your reading done like a tarot reader yeah i would would you i would and you wouldn't be scared because there is a little bit of me when we were doing the wisdom of the oracle i felt i had the control so i was like well i'm doing this and i'm and also there's a lot of taking from it what you want and linking you know that's why people really is that what you said you know but if you really

delve into it then you can really draw on those things that you're trying to have some clarity on but having someone ask someone like is this gonna happen they're like, I'll be like, I know. I know. It's so interesting. So some of the responses that we have from the debrief. So tell me, I always get goosebumps. So it sounds silly, but I came across a tarot reader

on TikTok. Oh, this is full on my for you page. Oh, who said that the love of my life will include butterflies. I thought nothing of it until I went on my first date

with my now husband and the menu of the restaurant had butterflies all over them oh i got goosebumps yes oh my god it's so interesting i remember one time i was like and it's so like the tarot readers on tiktok it's it's very like come as you go you know 100 but they're all over my For You page. And I remember one time they were talking about something and they mentioned like, you'll see turtles as a confirmation

if this message is for you. I'm like, I live in fucking London, turtles. Turtles. I was walking out of a tube station and the restaurant in front of me was called like the Happy Turtle or something. And I was like, oh. But I don't know if it's one of those things that they

tell you and then you're just more hyper yeah yeah I get what you mean but I think if you've got that open mindset and that clarity and that and that willing to want to that open mindset to want to understand things then you're willing to look for them whereas if you're so blocked off from it like oh exactly okay I've got a great one so I've been doing tarot readings for years on the side of my in marks normal job i don't charge as i do it for my own personal growth in reading cards and gaining experience i've multiple clients coming to me daily after work once this woman turned up to my studio and asked if she could have a reading she didn't give me her name as she didn't trust the process but said she really needed clarity on a situation and this was

her last resort yeah so i invited her in and she came into the room and she started asking about a guy now i don't usually do romance specific reads because i don't feel comfortable going into detail with a complete stranger but she was really adamant and pleading to do so and to be honest this one seemed a little bit different so I obliged yeah I got the six of cups oh for this guy she was wanting to know about whether or not she would be with him but unfortunately he strongly wasn't interested something was blocking him and his energy from me being able to give a positive answer it was an obvious no to this potential relationship and that there was no possible way they could ever be together she leaves rather confused and obviously upset about

this two days later she shows up my front door without any more warning and says to me that the guy had died five days ago so when i did the reading no wonder i was blocked by an energy and said there wasn't any way she could be with him she now comes to me monthly and is a fun believer oh my god right right she's like no there's no possible way on God's earth that you're going to be with him. And then she's like, shit, no. Oh, my God. Right? That's crazy.

Cray, cray. I have one where she says, I had a tarot reading with a woman who told me that I'd be living in the United States. Girls, I'm the biggest homebody. So brush this off as incorrect. Fast forward to three years later and I'm now living in America due to an amazing job promotion and loving my life.

I love that. I feel like it's one of those things because it's never, it doesn't have to be instant. No, no, it doesn't. I know people that have had tarot readings and then they're like, this is so far from what is happening

right now in my life. And then literally within like two years, it's all correct. Yeah. and sometimes they can be rather literal you know for example so there was a tarot reading that i read about online where someone gave a tarot reading of there was going to be an illness in the family that was going to debilitate the family from doing something because of this illness and the family were really stressed like we're all gonna die or someone's gonna die and it was covid and that's why they couldn't do it oh my yeah so it wasn't you know sometimes it's not so literal as you think yes right well tomorrow i'm gonna get a plane to america yeah it's like no your

life's gonna pan out and you're gonna have a great time but this will happen yeah yeah so i got another one this woman goes so this is one of my favorite tarot stories ever girls i had lost my glasses for months turned the house upside down checked everywhere as they were very expensive and even had my husband help as well they were gone nowhere to be seen i was so frustrated all the usual places all the weird places i had looked and i had checked my husband had recently just got his first deck of tarot cards and i'd been helping him to learn how to use that yeah as a joke when we were about to give up i said to him why don't you ask the deck now i personally had never seen anyone use a deck to find lost items

but apparently i've heard that it's super common. I thought it was really silly, but we tried it anyway. When we picked the cards, one had a picture of a throne reversed, and the other had a picture of a hidden trap door. It took us a while to work out what it meant, but it turns out on the back of the recliner we keep in our bedroom there is a secret little velcro compartment oh my god i think it's crazy because we didn't even know about the compartment at the time we found quite a few things there including wouldn't you know it my glasses

oh my god since then it's helped us find a lot of things some important and some silly things as well oh my god that kind of gave me goosebumps yeah thinking a throne reversed and a trap door so it's like what are you saying i don't understand yeah like it's like that so people would think what on the chair under a trap door yeah you know what i yeah you know but you have to put the pieces together it's crazy yeah it's crazy isn't it crazy yeah i love it though it's it's so interesting to me because you can see one thing and then they it speaks to you instantly 100 oh my god i know what this means yeah yeah yeah which i'm like like when we did it me and casey did it with our flatmates and we all asked it a question but in our own heads because we didn't want to share it in question and then we all like had a bit of a moment personally being like oh sure like that answered my question right big time answered yours mine and our other housemate Archie was a bit

nervous yeah and Archie's very literal person yes yes very literal so he'll be like I don't understand yeah 100 so now we're going to go on to debrief dilemmas on the section of the pod of course we always do this and we're going to read out some debrief dilemmas that have been sent in to us by our trusty listeners and we're going to use katie's pack of oracle cards to help us decide what we're going to do with the advice to give our listeners to see if tarot can provide any insight so here we go if you'd like to run the listeners through what you're doing because so we've got the cards we've got a book there's it's like a little like explains everything it

means in terms of like relationship messages protection messages abundance messages like everything you need so what i'll do yeah is if you want the book i'm gonna have to figure out how to like shuffle with this microphone here it's like having a little baby i know so i will go first usually you have to like knock the energy out that's what i like to do would you like me to read one of the you you read yours first okay i will hey girls it's a very quick one but just would love some clarity and to debrief. I've been invited to go to a good friend's wedding, but my ex-boyfriend will be there with his current flame.

So done with this shit, to be honest. He cheated on me, not with this girl, as she is recently on the scene, but it's easy to say that him and I are not friends. I would 100% prefer not to go to avoid any unnecessary confrontation but I don't want to hurt my friends feelings either should I go anyway or should I stick to my guns and skip it would love your thoughts thanks this is so fun

Essential meaning. Now, in the the book they have a few things they have the essential meaning the oracle's message the relationship message the prosperity message and the protection message yeah and i'm gonna read this to you guys yeah okay so the essential message of this six of cards not for you a clear knowing that something is being denied you rejection is god's protection the god's message there are times when it appears that no matter how deeply you desire something no matter how hard you work at something the result you seek always seems to elude you now not that i'm going to put a perspective on things, but if I was that girl, I would think that relationship I had with him, I tried and it's completely dead. It's as if you don't really get to be in the game

and you feel like you're just watching from the sidelines. The appearance of this card indicates that you are not going to attain what you want right now. That indeed your dreams for that exact thing will not be fulfilled. on your way home rather than going to the wedding you meet the love of your life exactly love it okay right we'll swap gorgeous you do the book and i'm such a bad shuffler so this is gonna be really hard so i'm gonna have to put the mic here for a sec don't you worry hi girls please help my girlfriend broke up with me four days ago and it's been hard she left because she said she wants to find herself because she was consumed by our relationship i can admit that we got comfortable and spent every waking moment together we were in a long distance relationship and i hadn't visited her for the past couple of years oh things had been hard and she said she understood and i can understand how she um how that can be a strain but i paid for everything myself out of pocket

she says does he mean by that i'm confused as in it seemed like he was visiting her yeah a lot yeah and was paying for everything once he was there and stuff but she was not appreciative of it oh sorry i see what you mean she said that she doesn't feel romantically about me anymore but continued to send mixed signals we're now trying to remain friends because that's how our relationship started she texts me throughout the day but then ignores me around the same time every night she's been very hostile and insensitive towards me i didn't want to end the relationship i wanted to help her through her journey but she didn't see fit she still sends mixed signals and then flips up on me and it's so confusing i end up being her all over again each day so i've decided to go no contact starting today we have a meetup set for october

and she says she's still open to my love and dating again if the universe allows another mixed signal she says that she still wants to have sex when i see her another mixed signal but then treats me like a stranger currently not even a friend i'm not sure how to handle this breakup or how to handle her i do want her back because our relationship was beautiful i feel like she lets others opinions get in the way as well should i fight for her when i see her okay i'm gonna do a shuffle i'm not as good as shuffling as katie is so i'm just going to put it all out and see what comes to me and then i can fix my mic this is harder than oh and it looks doing it like this but hey ho let's just see what comes hopefully something will oh i'd take that let's do that one

We were all meant to have connections with other people within our families, society, and the larger culture. No man is an island, and it's important to recognize when being a part of rather than separate from is essential to your well-being.

The issue at hand is the need to find where you fit. Be true to your core truths and values. Perhaps you no longer identify with a group or community the way you did before, and you need to find a new situation come on come on you might be feeling a deep sense of loss or confusion address the need for your belonging and know you will find your place with others of like-minded and spirit it's okay to let go of pressure to fit in not everyone will understand you it's time to move on come on relationship message as you shift and evolve and commit to your own growth you long for support but may be disappointed and hurt by others who are not providing what you feel you deserve

perhaps you're drifting away from this relationship because you're in a different stage of personal growth yeah perhaps perhaps you're in a new relationship and discovering that you don't share the same values and beliefs so you feel left out and unable to get get to that intimate place of safety and belonging yeah take heart a spirit knows you and loves you and will steer you in the direction of those who accept you as you are without artifice or agenda don't compromise yourself to belong it won't be worth the price oh this card the prosperity message this card reminds you that you can't be all things to all people you're not going to be popular with everyone and that has to be okay with you be clear about your

mission your brand your work persona and your contribution to the world as these must be based on what you authentically have to offer not something you think will sell or you perceive they want. You will attract abundance by being completely yourself. Stay in your own lane, that's where you will shine and where you will experience prosperity. Protection message. Here we go. The shadow side of this card speaks to the essence of abandonment.

Perhaps you feel a need to remain apart because intimacy is too threatening. It also warns against creating inappropriate family structures in order to conceal old wounds. It's time you address the unhealthy alliances you've formed to make a decision to heal the past. You will not be abandoned by the world if you claim yourself as whole.
