Hi everyone. I'm Cheryl Sutherland. And I'm really excited to say that for the next year, I'll be your host here on The Decible. For those of you who are regular listeners, first of all, thank you. We appreciate your loyalty. It means a lot to our team that you continue to support our show. And if you're new here, welcome. The Decible is the Globe's Daily News podcast. And our goal is to bring context to stories that are shaping Canada and the world.

We have an incredible team of globe reporters and experts who we feature on the show to break down the stories of the day. I may be the new full-time host this year, but I'm not new to the decibel. You might remember my voice from past guest hosting stints, and I've also been part of the decibel for over three years as a producer. Now as your host, I'm looking forward to bringing you smart, thoughtful conversations, deep dives into globe investigations, and just really trying to make sense of all the news. that's been coming at us these days. We, of course, want to have conversations that you want to hear.
