Starting point is 00:00:00 Yesterday was a great day. Don't know why? Tell me about it. What happened? I got to see Kevin Durant's face speaking at an official NBA media day because the 2026, 2027 season is finally upon us. Training camps are beginning. We're done with the offseason portion of this show.
Starting point is 00:00:17 We went through our month and a half a stretch of straight evergreen episodes, ranking this and that and the third. Now we're back covering the league as we enter this next coming season. I think is your five of the show? Ooh. Damn. Season five? we're here.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Blessings. To give you guys one thing you need to know about every single NBA team. Lots of players were at as new teams over the summer. Lots of coaching changes were made. Things that we know are going to affect the teams over this coming season that maybe you missed because you weren't tapped in over the summer. Today we're going to give you one thing for every team that we think is important that you know as we enter the preseason stretch of this year.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Let's do it, man. Let's get straight into it. Let's get reactionary. Hell yeah. What's one thing we should know about B-Sulls? About me? Yeah. I'm sexy.
Starting point is 00:01:05 When did you realize that? I got to laugh like that. Like, come on. No, no. When did you realize that? The ripe age of 19. I had an awakening during my freshman year of college. Really?
Starting point is 00:01:17 Wripe age of 19. What happened in 19? Don't worry about it. He pulled some shit, man. He had that hell flooded. Wow. Look at it. Tuck, tap,
Starting point is 00:01:33 Tuck, type, tak. Anyways, let's talk about the NBA. The new season is upon us. Key the intro of music. Woo. We're about to run him. Mixing four. Mixing four.
Starting point is 00:01:45 It's all. It's up. At big man. And he's buggy. Damn. Jesus Christ. Holy. Nuggets.
Starting point is 00:01:57 I could cry. Grown eaters rejoice. So you guys know how this works If this is not your first time on this show We can go division by division Going through and giving you one thing We think about every single team that you need to know Starting with the Pacific Divisions today
Starting point is 00:02:12 Who has the Golden State Warriors on their list? That's me What is one thing people need to know About Steph Curry and the gang? Know that the gang is sticking together Because Steve Kerr signed a two-year extension In the off-season And I think that is very, very interesting
Starting point is 00:02:26 For this team because one, like they try to make a run to see if they could get LeBron in the offseason. And they tried to see those noise about LeBron and AD coming and all that stuff. And so you are trying to really, really maximize the last year of the Steph Curry window. Draymond had opted out so that you can have some type of flexibility to potentially get LeBron. He's back. There was talk all last year about Steve Curry, maybe not being the coach of this team anymore.
Starting point is 00:02:53 And him signing the extension basically lines him up with Steph Curry. And it further emboldens the Warriors to this. We are trying to, or at least show into the world. We are trying to maximize the last two years of the Steph Curry era or in, you know, whatever contract he signs after that. But Jimmy Butler is coming back in the middle of the season. They re-signed Pozingis. They re-signed Al Horford. It just signals to everybody that they still are trying to be competitive, which I don't,
Starting point is 00:03:22 which I don't think that a 37 and 45 team, a lot of other ones, are actually. actually do it. So I think that Steve Kerr staying here is actually really interesting for this team. Yeah. I mean, I think this for the first time in a in a little minute, I guess in 2020, whatever, the Warriors are not in like the worst position solely considering of the state, because of the state of the league and where the lottery rules lie. Now, of course, they are in prime position to land an actually interesting pick instead of being in the back half of the lottery like they've been over the last few years. Yaxil should be interesting.
Starting point is 00:04:00 But more so, like, yeah, bro, like, the Warriors are the Warriors. And they feel pretty, like, dry to talk about. Steph Curry, less than 45 games played last year. Chris Oswald's, Friesingis, less than 45 games played next year. Al Horford, less than 45 games played last year. Jimmy Butler, less than 45 games played next year. I mean, last year. Can they, like, do the same thing and win, like, 37, 36 games?
Starting point is 00:04:20 They can definitely win 37 games. I think, I think that's on the board. That's the bar? Yeah, I mean, to just do what you did last year, I think that that's there. Yeah. But I think Steve Kerr being here is, so Steve Kerr signing the extension and Yaxel being drafted is very much, I think, a stubborn play by the Warriors for them just be like, no, like, we're actually going to double down on age and experience at every single level.
Starting point is 00:04:49 And we're not going to pivot to a new era in the last couple years of the Steph and Dre. Ramon show. So it's probably going to be the same. Like hopefully Steph can play more games. Hopefully you get something from, from poor thing is hopefully Jermont has a good season. But I think that the most interesting thing for this team and the best thing that you can see for these fans
Starting point is 00:05:13 is Steph Curry is going to be here. You're going to get the Steph Curry show. And it's going to look more of the same. So just appreciate it for these last couple years. Now, question. This is the last year of Steph Curry's deal and Dreemont Green's deal. do you think they're going to resign for like another year?
Starting point is 00:05:28 I think so. I think so. And I think that that's what Steve Kerr's extension means to me is that those guys have this isn't the last dance, which there was kind of the feeling of that last year that, that, you know, ended up not being that. And I think this year won't be that. Okay. So moral of the story, wishing you know by this team is they're not going to tell.
Starting point is 00:05:47 They're doing what they can to elongate this year as long as possible. If they're the exact same team as they were last year, then they would literally have a top three pick. So, okay. Kudos to you. If I'm them, I'm making the biggest deal out of the NBA Cup. I'm making that shit feel like it matters. I'm going to make sure you win it? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Some team needs to do that. Someone needs to take it upon themselves to make their superstar be the spokesperson of the cup mattering. Curry needs to win it and be like, I got five rings. What are they going to say now? And he needs to make sure people know this is a ring. Do they have Cup MVP's? Yeah. I'm telling you if he says that, someone in the media is going to be like, I mean, is he wrong?
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yeah. Is he wrong? Let's push the stuff. Goaten area. Someone has to make it matter. Someone has to be that guy. Yeah. Why not Steph? I feel like it has to be like some middling of the pack team that's trying to get it out the mud and make the city matter. Literally.
Starting point is 00:06:36 It's got to somebody famous. If Zach Levine's like, I got a ring. Everyone's not laughing. Okay. But Curry's like, that's five, motherfucker. Am I listening? That's true. If you do it, you have to have a cigar in your mouth.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like, you have to act. You actually won some for real. A cigar in October basketball? Yeah. Let's do it. Yeah. Yeah, it'll feel more legitimate. Why not?
Starting point is 00:06:55 Okay, the Warriors are still the Warriors. It's one thing you need to know. Injection of young players here and there, but still the same warriors you know and love. Or don't love if you're a fan of them for a basketball year. But you'll have your team to root for in the same way. Next team is division.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Let's go over to the Los Angeles Lakers after rebuilding their entire roster, losing LeBron James, losing Marcus Smart, losing Ruey-Hachamora, losing Diann, losing Diann, losing Jackson Hayes, losing Luke Conard,
Starting point is 00:07:20 and probably three more names I'm not thinking about right now. it's a whole new roster. And I think obviously there's going to be a lot we got to talk about over the next month, what the strengths of the weaknesses are at this roster, what the realities are, what are lazy narratives, good narratives,
Starting point is 00:07:32 et cetera. But the main thing I think to highlight in this first start of preseason basketball is you got to know who Walker Kessler is and who he isn't. Because he's like the savior. They need him to be that. They give up two first-on picks and two picks swaps. He has to be the reason they become an elite team because of what he can do defensively to help Luca Donchage,
Starting point is 00:07:50 help Austin Reeves. I think there will probably be some Lakers fans who want him to be a superstar in all aspects growing into being the next dominant big in like every way they have the visions of him being a stretch big a passing hub, a rim protector or a switch defender, all these things.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Then there will be some people who probably underrate him and say he wasn't worth this, wasn't nothing, he's a regular dude. I didn't hear his name once last year because he was hurt and they might think that he's not very important and wasn't worth the picks, right? So I think it's important to understand
Starting point is 00:08:16 who he isn't who he isn't. He's maybe the best offensive rebounder in the sport outside of Stephen Adams. I'm growing to that. Last year, or I should say his last fully healthy season in 2025, the offensive rebounded
Starting point is 00:08:26 15.8% of his team's missed shots, which is 96%. And over his first three seasons, he was 99th percentile, 99th, and 95th in block percentage while being just 87th in foul rate. 87th percentile. So he's an amazing offense rebounder,
Starting point is 00:08:41 an amazing top one percentile of rim protector while he doesn't file a lot. Those are two things he's going to bring to his team immediately to help them. They will have a baseline floor of having elite room protection and elite rebounding next to those offensive scoring guards, that's like worth the price of admission alone, I think, for what this team needed last year and for what you need to build around those two guards.
Starting point is 00:08:59 What he's not yet is a proven stretch big. He played five games last year and shot 75% from three. Can't feel real excited. In his last fully healthy season, he shot 52% from the free throw line and 18% from three. He's not a proven jumpstree yet whatsoever. And he also brings absolutely nothing as a creator with a ball in his hands. I think it's important to note that those. things might get better. Maybe he will become a stretch big, but it's far from a guarantee.
Starting point is 00:09:23 The role player yourself that he does extremely well is a given, but any upper tier ceiling of him becoming a top five center or anything, as of now is Make a Wish. If he becomes the top five center to you, as the season goes on, what do you think fully kicks in in his game? Which one of those parts? Well, he's shooting the shit out the ball for sure. I think he's never going to be a guy that you would throw the ball to in the post and do some type of creation, I think. Yeah, no. That's just not his plate type at all. He had a 25% true shooting on creation play types in his last full season.
Starting point is 00:09:49 You put the ball in his hand done is going to happen. But he's a very good pick and roll guy. He's not the best screens that in the world. He has to get better at that. Right now he's a little DeAndre Aden's syndrome where he doesn't say hard screens. He just rolls. That's something that Luke will need him to fix. But he's going to be a very good lob threat, very good roll threat,
Starting point is 00:10:03 get offensive rebounds and putbacks. Do the way to compliment that and be the best version of that is going to be to develop the three. And then do some passing hub stuff and do some Hardinstein game where we can get the guards moving off ball with you at the ball at the top of the key. Yeah. Okay. Okay. I think something that something that looked like
Starting point is 00:10:19 low-key almost forgot is that you guys signed Matisse Thibel and he's such an interesting player too because I think he's a legit difference maker and he's so wildly important for his skill set because there's just not that many people on the Lakers who can't do what he does
Starting point is 00:10:32 and having lineups between him and Kessler save a lot of fucking points and it will alleviate so much stressors and pains now the sad thing about Thibel is that he's just been injury prone in these last two years He hasn't played much basketball at all. But when he has played, something that's, like, been much different compared to the start of his career is that he's vastly improved as a three-point shooter.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Now, of course, he's not shooting like five-threes a game or anything like that, but taking three for a game at, like, 34, 35 percent. That means something. Yeah. And I also think, like, framing this as setting the expectation for Walker Kessler is very, very smart because last year, eight income. in and you really could have put anybody in that situation and the expectations were going to be through the roof and then the ideas if if you have luca on your team you need a big man next to him that can help him you know dominate cash a lot of do all these things and so now you're expecting Walker Kessler to also bring out the best in in Luca and you're expecting a certain
Starting point is 00:11:38 play level uh play style and and performance from Luca which you'll get because he's great but I can definitely see a scenario where we're in the first three weeks of the season you know, Walker Kessler was shooting 75% for the five games that he played last year. Let's say that he's just not a good shooter. And all of a sudden, Lake Kish fans are like, oh my God, we overpaid. This guy's a bum. Like, nothing's happening.
Starting point is 00:12:03 I do think that they're, like, I think that he's a very good piece. It is still a gamble to go after Walker Kessler as aggressively as they did with the injury history, with the unknown of his playstyle. And so trying to set a baseline for what success looks like for him is very smart going into the year. Yeah, I think don't expect him to be Anthony Davis. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Expect him. I think the Rudy Gobert comparisons are apt. Now, he's not going to be that level of three-time DPOI winner. Rudy Gober is and the greatest defenders of all time. But that style of play and the way we can have a room protector that can operate as a screen and roll partner
Starting point is 00:12:35 with our guards, gives us a defensive floor that gives us line of versatility to start a Sanra Mamu Kelle Shevke. Well, I said that all wrong. I do. Mamu Kalesvili, you can start him next to him because he gives you that rim protection floor that you can start a less vertically inclined big. That's the idea, I think. And I think that comparison might be lazy to some people that he can be your Gobert. But I do think that's
Starting point is 00:12:56 the style of play he is. I think he is going to be junior gober. I mean, he's going to have to also just because of the rest of the team. If you're starting Mamu, if you're starting Luca, if you're starting Reeves, like these are not, these are not high-end defenders. And so And so it is going to get to a point where Walker Gessler is going to be tasked with a lot of the responsibility to fix a lot of the issues that they have. Yeah. I guess we can spend a little time on them because there's
Starting point is 00:13:19 such a highlight of the off season. Do you think they're good? Yeah, I think they're good. I think they paid exactly for... You tell me, simple question. Do you think they're good? Because people don't be yes or knows to that question. I think in order to be considered good for their expectations of what they did. I think you've got to be like a top five team in the Western Conference. Okay, they're good. That's the bare minimum for me for the type of
Starting point is 00:13:39 things that they game up and i think they should they're like right in line to be like a tier two in the western conference right behind okay c and dispersive of course they should be in the exact same conversations as the denver nuggets as the minnesota timbrel's i think they've of course like they completely switched out their entire roster but i think they've done it in a smart way where they've tried to maximize on every single piece every single piece possible and i think it makes sense Yeah. I think they're good. I think they're one move away from being very good. I kind of buy the vision in general.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Surprise, surprise. I'm a Lakers fan. I'm an optimist. I'm going to buy it. But I do like, I think if I wasn't a Lakers fan, I would see the vision. But they need to get either a one more big forward, a PJ Washington type, Derek Jones, Jr., etc., a guy that can start at the four. Or in my mind, ideally a backup five. I don't know why the fuck Kavon Ludi's a backup five here. I can be like, oh, he'll get off as a rebound. So help possession max. That's exactly why.
Starting point is 00:14:38 I forget he's there. I don't know why that's the route they went. I think... I mean, you see a lot of teams going that route and trying to win on the margins now. So I can understand why. Especially a team coach by J.D. Reddy. Yeah. It was pretty like analytically inclined.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I can understand why. Yeah, we're going to do that. I can lay it out and be like, this is why I can't say I agree with that being the backup five on a Luba lead team, the best pick and roll player, a big that is completely inept and pick a rule at this point of his career. That part, I think, is a major flaw. If they had Jackson Hayes in this roster, which nasty sentence. I hate Jackson. That's also why. That's also why.
Starting point is 00:15:15 JJ Redick has been dealing with DeAndre Aiton and Jackson Hayes. He's like, please give me somebody who I can tell them what to do and they're going to understand what I want them to do. Which fair. But I think they do. This roster is missing at least some element of a backup rolling big that would be useful in some degree. Hopefully you wouldn't be as reliant on them like they were last year. But I do think they're missing that type of guy. So if they go out and trade a second-on-pick for a Jericho Sims type or something like that,
Starting point is 00:15:38 then I really believe in the vision because I like the wing group. You mentioned Matisse Stuyahul. I love that signing, and I love Zaire William. As the other fringe wing signing they made later in the offseason. Those got overlooked because it was like after everything went down. I kind of think there's a chance that Ier Williams starts. I kind of think there's a chance that he's the Derek Jones Jr. of this team. He's a very good defender, disruptive.
Starting point is 00:16:01 He shoots the ball decently well, can't put the ball on the floor at all and do anything creatively. isn't a big body that's going to destroy on the boards, but I think he's a good wing defender, is a good lob threat in the same way Derek Jones Jr. is in the corner playing with Luca and can shoot well enough. I think it's in him and Sandro for the starting power forward spot. And I like both options, honestly. I think Sandro is basically white Nas Reid,
Starting point is 00:16:21 and we know what Nas Reid next to a Redigo Bear can do. I think that's kind of a similar archetype player over there with him and Walker Kessler. I like both those visions. I like Quinn Grimes being the point of attack defender, a better defensive role from him than he had in the past. I like him being a catch and shoot three-point shooter, which is better for him than being an off the dribble guy like he was. last year. I like Cam Carr. I like
Starting point is 00:16:38 I guess. I guess I like Quinn Grimes. I mean, in my bed. I like Jake La Ravia. It's like the fifth or sixth wing. I guess. Sixth wing? You don't like that. I guess. At a very reduced role, yes. I guess. At a reduced role, yes. Yeah, I guess. When you say I guess five times, you don't like that shit. I guess. And I like a dude Thiero and he could be the swing
Starting point is 00:16:59 factor for the team if he's ready to play. So all the pieces make sense to me. It's, again, I walk customer needs to be great. Zaire, Matisse, these guys need to click in the right way, but I do buy the vision for this team. Every season, something like ends up swinging right for each team. We don't have to dive too deep into it, but if a couple things swing right, whether it be a due thorough, Mesa Leap or whatever, Quinn Grimes changes a couple of things in his game, whatever it might be.
Starting point is 00:17:22 What's like the ceiling for you for the team in the Western Conference this year, win-wise? Ceiling is like third best team, I guess. I'm not really going to expect that. I think there's probably going to be other teams that are a little better because they're more reliable and are better right away early in the season. I'm sure this team will take time to gel. But I think it's pretty realistic if you're optimistic to say they can be the fourth or fifth best team. I mean, they were a game out of the three seat last year.
Starting point is 00:17:43 So I think it's possible that they can get to the three seat. I know, I guess this might be, this will be a optimist hot take that people won't say. I think their defense will be better than it was last year. And people, I think the general consensus will be this defense will suck ass. A lot of people think that? Yeah. I don't think that's the case. I do think this team is pretty deep and has good defensive infrastructure.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Yeah. As good as you can have with Luca and Austin Reeves. Luca makes things quite difficult to build a good defense with what they got since they don't have that big power forward. But I do think this team will be better defensively than last year. They fucking should. They better be. You got Walker Kessler if it's not. Or if you guys are like the 20th best defense, some shit went wrong.
Starting point is 00:18:19 That's what they were last year. Yeah. I think 20th wouldn't be that bad because I do think this will be one of the best offenses in the league. I think 20th would be like, that's kind of alarming to me. I hope it's better. If it's 20th, I think they can still be the five. I trust JJ Redick so much to make the most of it because that's all he's been doing throughout his entire career. Started out with DeLo as a starting point guard.
Starting point is 00:18:39 All of a sudden you have Luca fucking Donchich and you have to run with Jackson Hayes as your five or whatever and just like get by with, you say, gimmicky defenses. And now you have for the first time in his career like a legitimate guy who reaches all the things that you would want out of your starting center defensive wise. So this is this is a perfect situation for him. I think I can imagine you guys being like, like a top 14, 15 defense for real. Beesoles. Yeah. Can you spell Mama Kalishvili?
Starting point is 00:19:09 No. No. Next question. Fair. And I'm with you. You can give me 30 minutes to do it. I still won't do it right. I didn't work hard.
Starting point is 00:19:21 I had to work hard to be able to say mom of Kellish Vili. I had to put in some reps. He has to be in the lab. I'm going to be calling him M. Big M. Big M, never the little one. All right. Stay in the Pacific Division.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Who has a Sacramento Kings? Ooh, I do. Why the difference in conversation now? Now, when it comes to Sacramento Kings, I can't talk about anything that you should know other than about the bonus. And how he's going to have a robust trade market this entire regular season. Robust? Yes, because when it comes to talking about what's hot these days and what's the new trend going forward in the NBA.
Starting point is 00:19:59 this year, it's going to be mid. And DeMontes-Sabonis, of course, he had a bad year last year, and people really don't think of them as much, obviously, because of so career or whatever, but he's legitimately so, like, a good play. He's additive on offense. He gives you your offense a decent floor, not too much on defense. But when it comes to just, like, maintaining a bare, like, line of being a good, workable offense, pretty much around, almost around, like, any type of guard, for real.
Starting point is 00:20:26 He gives you a decent floor, and there's a lot of teams. this NBA season who I feel like you walk into the year and you have a decent, you know, offense or whatever. And it just doesn't happen. And you need something to stop you and your team from falling into like the relegation zone where you're, you completely get kicked out of the lottery, the top end lottery odds. And I can see multiple teams who are like, yo, like, we're really bad right now. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:20:52 We traded away X, Y, Z pieces. And we need to like make a move so we don't end up with the 13th pick. and we're the worst team in our conference. There's so many things in my mind who could be looking for someone like someone like the modest bonus. And also too, I remember last year he was like, yo, like what's going on?
Starting point is 00:21:08 Everyone ignored him. No one came to fucking shit at all. But this time around, I think teams are going to be interesting. He borderline requested a trade. He just didn't want to say it in that way, maybe it's not his style. There's reports that he was talking to the front office, trying to get on the same page,
Starting point is 00:21:21 understand the vision. Not a soul reported any team's interest. That's hard to do. Yeah, that's tough. Yeah, not a soul. Not a soul game of fuck. So I think there is quite... As of the past year, there's no trade market, it seems like.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I think if there was, he might have gotten traded. But you make a good point. The new lottery odds are here now. Teams will start to feel that pressure come February to say, fuck, we've got to win some games immediately. I don't know who one of those terrible teams would be. If something goes back for the Mavericks, let's say they traded Kyrie,
Starting point is 00:21:50 somebody Cooper Flagg had some time and they're one of the worst three teams, they damn sure don't want to be in that spot. Actually, they don't have to control their pick. But for example, using them, I can see them in February saying, we'll take that DeMontas-a-bonous contract, give you very little back, just because we've got to try to get out
Starting point is 00:22:02 of that relegation zone as fast as possible. You might be right. Yeah, I could see it happening. I think they're, well, team like that in terms of like similar range, you could say the team like the, no, the Brooklyn Nets don't have control their pick either. Bro, a lot of people don't control their pick right now.
Starting point is 00:22:17 That was crazy. I was going to say the bucks. They don't got it. The clippers, they don't got it. Yeah, they don't have any of their, holy shit. A lot of teams weirdly don't have control their picks. The clips can still do it, though.
Starting point is 00:22:25 If they're going all in and just saying like, hey, we got to be some kind of respectable. But they think it's like the Hornets, for instance. I think there's someone like there's someone who could be perfectly primed to get some like the bonus. Oh shit, we trade lamello. You know, we have all these working pieces. Nees some playmaking or whatever. They do have a decent amount of bigs.
Starting point is 00:22:44 But now their whole team infrastructure is like completely changed. Some of these bigs value isn't what it once used to be. We need someone who can create a little bit more office for us. You know the son's hate for Sean picks. There's Jalen Green in a first for DeMontasabon swaps. I'm going to go crazy. Again, Mark Williams is out for, I guess, like, four to six months or whatever it is. That makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Yeah, it doesn't make sense if you want to win games for real. But I do think DeMontas and Sabonis and Devin would be a nice fit. It would be fun for, like, fantasy basketball. You think you have to attach a first to Jalen to get to bonus back? I was just saying the sons hate first. So they just like, they'd offer before you ask. Probably. They like, we don't really need these.
Starting point is 00:23:22 We get it to the hard way. Get out the mode on purpose. No go. Yeah. So there's more about them than it is the Kings. True. But then again, the Kings aren't smart enough to get that done. So they'd probably offer him first for a second and not even allow the sons to fill their addiction.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Hmm. We're dealing with an immovable object for the stop before. Yeah. That's good theory. That's good theory. Yeah. Who knows which side will come out on that. Or all of what I said could be just completely newts and the Kings are like a 35 win team and they like where they're at.
Starting point is 00:23:48 And they're just like out game system. So they can get from the number one over our pick. Yeah, they might be that mid team. Yeah. They might just use a bonus to be missed. It might max his ass out and be, all right, cool. We're here. We like this life.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Yeah, but either way, you should know that Subonis is going to be a mid-champion for this new lottery odds. Yeah. Feature Piston. Don't love it. He's cool. I don't love him and Kate. I want someone that can run off ball and score next to Subonis, like a different booker.
Starting point is 00:24:11 It's not about what you love. It's about what's going to happen. Fair. I don't love a lot of shit. That sounds very, like, arranged marriage. No, for sure. You're going to take it. this.
Starting point is 00:24:26 You go take these DHS? Hold that offensive rebound. You're going to learn to load these DHS. All right. Next team to talk about in the Pacific Division, none other than the main characters of the offseason, the Los Angeles Clippers. What is one thing people should know about this team
Starting point is 00:24:45 other than the fact that they're in hell and it's all behind us now? I think they should know that there are about four players on this team. I think they could probably trade for picks at the deadline if they want. And you should know that the clippers have a choice in front of them. Do they try to be as analytical as possible and say we lost these picks?
Starting point is 00:25:02 The best path towards this rebuild going well is accumulating as many picks as we can, saying the picks we lost are at-cost. We need more at-bats. Every pick is a percentage chance of being a good player. And while you don't have the premium picks that you could have had in a rebuild, that's fine. If you stack enough singles, for lack of a better analogy, we can still hopefully land on a very good player and it can work out for us.
Starting point is 00:25:23 We trade Chris Dunn, we trade Rui, we trade Max Drews, we trade Derek Jones, we trade Brandon Ingram if we can. All these veterans get, even if it's just seconds, get as many pictures you possibly can to try to get out of this hole. Or, I like winning games. Roll the ball out. Roll the ball out. Yeah. I got the wall. B.I. Garland.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Rui, an expanded role. Maybe we just try to win games and get the fans back on our side. I don't know. Maybe we just try to make the best the situation and put out a good product. was 32 games I doubt it I think it's a horrible team Rui and Brooke Lopez together is nonsense
Starting point is 00:26:00 he said roll the ball out bro the ball and get fucked that's just gonna happen I think for the first time in the NBA for real like I can look at this and I see zero good defenders in their starting lineup
Starting point is 00:26:11 and that's the worst rebounding starting five in an NBA history yes yes none of those players rebound what the hell yeah Garland might have the most rebounding tenacity that's a lot man So I do think the team will be horrible, and I don't think they really actually can do the competitive thing.
Starting point is 00:26:26 But maybe they'll try. What you need to know is they have to decide that at some point this year. Because if you want to do the path of blowing it up and getting as many picks you can for your role players, this deadline will be the one to do it. Like, Rui, you can get two seconds for them at least. Maybe a first from a team that really needs shooting. Derek Jones, Jr., you can definitely get two seconds and a swap from the Lakers specifically. That'll be on the table. Chris Dunn, a lot of players can use a point of attack defender like that.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Maybe that's a bad first. You can stack up these mediocre picks. this deadline. Yeah, I don't think if a majority of what we're getting though is seconds, let's roll the ball out.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Like, let's try, let's try to go there. I think if you, if you can get a lot of first and that's fine, but I, you can get some first
Starting point is 00:27:06 probably. Probably not a lot, but you can get a couple first and some decent swaps that might be invaluable. And if that's okay, then, then,
Starting point is 00:27:13 or if that's the case, then cool, let's do that. If it's seconds, and I understand, like, you're not going to have first round picks,
Starting point is 00:27:18 you're going to have to make picks yourself. You can get second around picks the day of draft day, right? You can, you have this only you pay somebody or whatever. I think in the meantime,
Starting point is 00:27:27 you're actually either getting legitimate building blocks in actual first round picks or we're going to try and make something of this. But, yeah, this is so tough for them for these fans, man.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I think the most like likely player to be moved and it's weird to say, but maybe Darius Garnham might have like the most, he does have the most value out of all these guys and he's someone who can swing legitimate
Starting point is 00:27:52 like playoff series or whatever let's say a team like the I don't know Houston Rockets you go into the season and preferably just completely just doesn't look the same because he's old a heavier set guard towards ACL just isn't like moving
Starting point is 00:28:05 the same at all and you need like another option Reeshbert you've seen him look like even playing like Xbox in the basement for the entire summer they need another option he looks like he's in boogie nights yes bro like you need another option
Starting point is 00:28:19 I could see a team like these rocks they have like plenty plenty pieces in the chest I think they should probably treat Garland and Keen Wagler as their franchise players and just build around that because I think there's very little path that I'm getting a player better than Garland so I would go that route but you're right they can get two or three first time picks for them
Starting point is 00:28:33 that's the route to the most picks if I were them I would 110% do that yeah the thing is the picks that they lost to start kicking in in 2029 and onward in the early 2030 that's when they're really fucked the next couple years like this year they don't have a pick next year they will it's the worst of like a three-way swap so they'll pick somebody in
Starting point is 00:28:49 first round in 2028. This is the one draft where they don't. So it gets really bad in several years. So I think the question is like, do we start prepping for those 20, 30 years and not be done terrible? So because of that, I'd probably keep Garland since we're dealing with a little bit more future of a timeline in the short term for the next couple of years, Garland can be your guy. But yeah, it's a bad situation and they have a choice to make.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Is the moral of the story. Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what my zag picks of the year are. They are my zag pick of the year. I think they're going to have a season similar to the Suns did last season where everyone was like, oh, their future's cooked. You roll the ball out. Actually pretty solid. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:22 I find that fucking shocking. I know. You will be shocked. I will be. I was shocked by the suns. I'll tell you that. I will sell you my liver if they have the season similar to the Phoenix Suns, bro. Actually,
Starting point is 00:29:32 they have no good defenders. It's like Yon. I shot it to him, but he's young and he got a bad energy last year. I assume it would be healthy, but zero chance that happens, bro. I'll give you my kidney. Mind you, he's not even asking for anything else in this bet. He's like I would give you a kidney.
Starting point is 00:29:46 He doesn't want anything if you're right. Yeah, I don't. That's how confident I am that they're going to be. bad for the first time. He just offering organs for the love of the game. And that's a good value. Take this bit. Yeah, I'm what to say. That kiddies probably worth like 50K. I love these bets. I'm not really a lot. Black market. Black market. Let's do it. Shake on it. Black market. Okay. Last team is division. I also have the Phoenix Suns. Speaking of, one thing you should know about the Phoenix Suns. I'm trying to say positive for most
Starting point is 00:30:14 these teams. The only thing I can think about that you should know is I wrote there's almost zero chance they're better than they were last year. That's the what the fuck. That's the only thing I think of it. I couldn't think of any positive spin. I'm sorry. I think there's almost zero chance that don't regress to me.
Starting point is 00:30:30 And I think they'll be around the same quality of team. Regressing from the 7th season. Exactly. So I think they will be out of the playoffs. I think they'll still be similar quality, but I think some teams will bounce back from down years and the playoff picture will be deep again. I think there's almost zero chance they're better than they were last year.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Not even like a D-Book resurgence year people can look forward to. Deepak was cool last year. sure. And he hasn't been able to shoot three for like three years. I don't see that coming back. So I think DeBook is who DeBook is right now at this point of his career. All the Miles on him is still a great All-N-Bay-level player. Jalen Green has to start on this team for politics reasons. I think there's zero fucking reason he should start over Colin Gillespie.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Hey politics, man. But we're here. And I think the starting lineup that has Jalen Green and Miles Bridges and now you're not having your starting center, I guess, Oslo, or if Malawash is ready to start, I think that starting lineup is fucking nonsense. I don't think that Miles Bridges signing makes any sense. are Miles Bridges trade and giving up a future first for him. Did they also give up like two good players as well? Yes, Royce O'Neill and Grayson Allen. So your depth is worse now.
Starting point is 00:31:25 He's lost his trade in three different rays. They're insane to me. They replaced Grayson Allen with Luke Knard, but I think he's a cool shooter. Shout up to what he did in the playoffs for those couple games when he went on a heater to beat the Rockets. I think there's no chance to me that this team has like upside to get better than last year.
Starting point is 00:31:41 So I think we're looking at a team that's just trying to stay afloat. Yeah, this team had a ridiculous all-season to me. and if they are like, if they don't get better but maintain somehow like the same level of play, it's because you get leaps from two players specifically. It has to be Mollawash made in my mind. Or it's going to be someone like Rashir Fleming
Starting point is 00:32:01 who is like he's a devious defender, but there's a lot of questions for him offensively. And I don't know if he's going to be able to maintain things on a consistent basis or close out games for them like Royce O'Neill did. Yeah. And I think Co-OPE is interesting. If they can, there's a development path there that if the jump shot becomes respectable,
Starting point is 00:32:19 that could be one of the surprises of the draft. He reminds me Apollo, man. He just looks like Apollo. Because he's swollen as fuck. He was like a 2K player. Yeah. But there's a path that if they have a good shooting coach and make him a respectable shooter, that like that could be a surprise of the draft.
Starting point is 00:32:30 And that could change things. If they are able to utilize his athleticism, rebounding and slashing all that and like it works. And this is a cool starting power forward type of player in the future. I'm not banking on any of this. And I'm not saying there would be a disaster. I just think every team that has a run like last year where they surprised you and made the playoffs. you might assume, oh, put them back in there.
Starting point is 00:32:47 They proved they're this good. I'm not going to put them in the top seven of my predictions. So they won 45 games last year. You're thinking like 40? All I'm saying is they won't win 46. They won't win 46 plus. I think this team has a ceiling of what they did last year. It's not really saying much.
Starting point is 00:33:05 And that's, again, because I couldn't think much to say about them because they're just the sons and they are who they are. But I think this will be one of the teams that I don't see a big, optimistic approach to them improving off of last year. Whereas most teams, I think you can spend. it to there's a path towards this, that, and the third, don't really see that for them. Yeah, I agree. At this point, there's, like, no swing at all.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Devon Booker's Devin Booker. Unless he has, like, some type of insane resurgence year and he makes, like, an MVP type, like caliber run or whatever. I just don't see anything. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like they have to trade Jaylon Green. I don't know what the market is for a Jaylon Green.
Starting point is 00:33:37 But, again, I do still think Jaylen Green starting makes no sense. They don't have, they still are, like, committed to this. Devin Booker, you know, lead ball handler, like, point guard stuff. Like, it doesn't, none of this makes sense. It started calling next to him and letting call and handle the ball and Booker go back to being one of the best offball players in the league. Makes so much more sense to me.
Starting point is 00:33:57 But maybe that's the vision they have for Jalen Green. I mean, they played him out of position for five years straight now. And it's made his PR get worse every single year. It doesn't make sense. Yep. Unfortunate, free Devin Booker. Let's move on to the next division. Atlantic Division.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Donovan, what team do you have from here? I'm assuming you have the Knicks. I do have the Knicks. Tell me what is one thing people need to know about the defense. defending champs. How does it feel to hear that? Man, that's beautiful. I really don't want the season to start.
Starting point is 00:34:24 I just want to remain a fan of a champion for the rest of my life. Because they really can't get better than this. It can't. It's only downhill. No, it's literally worse. Unless they go, they go back to back, it's like, dang. Like, if they lose in the second round or something, everyone's going to be like, oh, they were frauds, like, cute little championship,
Starting point is 00:34:42 whatever. It's like, you know, don't, don't just expect. Championship or whatever. You know what's happening. It's coming. You got that high until you lose, though. Especially with how y'all won last year, because y'all won like a top seat in the east.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Y'all can be like the fifth seed going into the playoffs and be like, yeah, we're going to turn up in the playoffs, though. We're team locking. Yeah, we're team locking. Yeah, you got that. That's fair. So the big thing is that Mitch Robinson is no longer here. And he is replaced with Andre Drummond.
Starting point is 00:35:11 And so you get the same, like, upside with. with the offensive rebounding stuff. And so that aspect of your team is still the same. However, they are two vastly different players when it comes to defense. And I am actually very worried and very skeptical about what the defense looks like from a playoff standpoint.
Starting point is 00:35:33 I think in the regular season, they'll be able to figure things out. But... One to ten. One to ten. How much do you miss, Mr. Robinson? Ten. Like, it's...
Starting point is 00:35:45 It's like I'm, I miss him a lot. It's just like in the in the in the in the in the in the in the in the finals cat had those those first two games where it's like oh my goodness he's he's turned the corner it's amazing we get to game three he gets two foul in the first 30 seconds of the game we get to to game four it's the same thing he gets in the foul trouble and you're able to sustain those things because you have Mitchell robinson coming off the bench able to play a lot of minutes. And when we get into series late in the in the playoffs, I'm, I'm worried about the, about the big man rotation, especially because even Huck Porty, like he's gone. He's in Philly
Starting point is 00:36:23 now. So it's, which, which like, obviously Huck Porty's not, not amazing, but he is, he is, he is, he is somebody who has been on this team for a couple years and, and gave them at least some energy. And so now you're remaking the entire big man rotation, the entire center rotation. And at nothing else, he would be the guy that you're like, oh, more than 40 minutes to replace Mr. Robinson. Yeah. And that's not, that's not there. So I think that the center position is something that you really have to look at for the, for the Knicks this season. Makes sense. And that's, yeah, that's, that's the one thing. Makes sense. That is the only thing for the defending champs who bring back everybody else,
Starting point is 00:37:01 but the important bench piece. Who has the Boston Celtics? I do. What is one thing people need to know about Big Green? One thing that people need to know is that you cannot fully judge the insane Jalen Brown trade that happened this summer up until we see where their lottery pick that they have, their 2027 pick that comes from specifically, the one and only clippers. You can't judge it at all. If it's like the eighth or ninth pick or whatever in the NBA draft, you have to see what they do with that pick or who they might even suck with that pick.
Starting point is 00:37:34 And for me personally, I believe that the Celtics have been routine. teamly one of the smartest organizations for the last like 12 years they pretty much have a lot of hits a couple misses here and there but that's just the nature of the game their processes really well so whether they're like picking a young stud i fully believe in the young stud because whenever they do have a top in lottery pick it always works out somehow or whether they trade it for the next disgruntled star that's what you should be based off the jalen brown trade yes so it's incomplete it's pending this is not the final output out all like I understand the rage for someone like
Starting point is 00:38:11 Dylan Brown because he's uh you sat there you nursed him and all that and he's blossomed to a top star now he's just gone and you don't have anything yeah for real bro burped him it was bad bro first two years in league he was not he grew into a star yeah of the teat of the Celtics you raised him to hells and you traded him for what Dominican Paul George and he does look at a minute yeah that's a good point is is that even if it's not I think it's
Starting point is 00:38:38 more likely that they don't wait to see where that pick goes. I think it's more likely they trade the picks they got for him at the deadline and get a real person to add into this. People throughout Tray Murphy, they've thrown out insert big you like there to play with them on this team. Like, whatever the piece may be, they're clearly going to add another piece at some point. And even if they don't, I still think what people should know is this team's going to be very good. And that's okay, even if they're not quite as good. Because like you said, they're going to add something to this. The job isn't finished yet. Yeah. Like next year, if you told me that, yo, this is the second best team in the East and they won like
Starting point is 00:39:09 53, 54 games or whatever, I would fully believe that, because that's what they were last year. Yeah, the one thing you need to know, the Jalen Brownshade probably is not a disaster. It could not work out, of course, but I think in terms of process, it's probably not horrible. And I think a lot of,
Starting point is 00:39:24 you go on like an Instagram comment section, I think most of who will be calling Brast even an idiot. Yeah, he's not, not a complete idiot at all. Or if he is, wait until you see what he does his pick, that you call him an idiot. He might end up being an idiot. But for now, he's still free of idiot
Starting point is 00:39:35 delegations for now, I think. Yeah. give a time. You might have your time to slander. Yeah. I was calling him an idiot. Of course. I think he's kind of earned it back a little.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Like maybe he got some smarts in him. I don't know. Yeah, once he actually explained his reasoning for the job, I'm like, you know what? What part sold you in the reasoning? It was the whole like,
Starting point is 00:39:54 yo, you really can't build a roster in 2027 with two Supermax squares. Like that really sunk in once he explained it, which we kind of already knew, but, you know, it just, you know.
Starting point is 00:40:05 When you hear from the voice of the guy making a decision, it's like, You're right. Like we can say that type of thing, but then you can be like, I mean, figure it out. The owner to let him go into the tax, pay to make this keep his team together.
Starting point is 00:40:15 But then when you hear it from the mouth, a guy building team, it's like, damn, you really can't. Like maybe that is something more serious than we think. Yeah, and even the owner was like, yo, I'm not going to lie.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Brad Stevens had to sell me on trading Jalen Brown because that was not for it. So I trust him for now. We'll see. I guess one of the story, Brad Stevens is a gambler. Let's see where the gamble lies.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Who has the Toronto Raptors? Ooh, I do. I don't have no East teams. I barely have any East teams. I got a lot of East teams. So for the Toronto Raptors, the most important thing that you should know, I could say Kauai signed like a two-year extension worth like $150 million, which is absolutely insane. I feel like when it comes to Toronto Raptors, they have like no negotiation tactics or skills at all.
Starting point is 00:41:00 You just walk in and they'll just say yes to everything. Everyone is right at the fuck up over there for the Raptors, bro. I feel like I get a minimum wage job over there for 80 U.S.D dollars per hour. It's insane, bro. No qualifications. Yes. They're Canadian. I guess they're giving up, looking up for the community, but that's insane.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Speaking of communities, though, Kauai Leonard, he started a record deal, record label, sorry, called Hemlock Records, and he's been signing rappers all over Asia. That's the most important thing you need to know. Wait, is this real? It's real as fuck, yes. He doing it again. So listen. Don't you be
Starting point is 00:41:41 YouTube? No. I, yeah. Pablo, you got a new case, buddy. Let's bring this out, man.
Starting point is 00:41:48 I've never met a scammer who stopped when they were caught. There's always a new scheme. There's always a new method to find when one dries up. Every Venmo scammer
Starting point is 00:41:57 moves on to USA whenever one runs out or vice versa. There's always a new method. NFDs to Crypto. There's always something. So he, has this new
Starting point is 00:42:06 Instagram page. I'm trying to find the name of it just on it last night. But he's been like active, active. And if we can show a clip
Starting point is 00:42:13 of that, it'd be hilarious. He's actually dropping a couple bars or a couple ad libs with the other rappers he signed. And he's like making this a real like venture.
Starting point is 00:42:21 And these are rappers in Asia, you said? Yes. So is it, is it non-English rap? Yeah, it's not English rap. So it's like Koreans?
Starting point is 00:42:28 Yeah. Yeah, I guess so. Great assumption. Yeah. Yeah. Have you sold this way of black rappers? They love some black cultural
Starting point is 00:42:38 gospel in Korea. You're trying to form like Men cat's eye. What the fucking is how about it? It's absolutely hilarious, bro. All right. So let's get to the nitty gritty. Let's get the first take.
Starting point is 00:42:52 Is Kauai Leonard too distracted to lead the Toronto Raptors back to the finals? Is he not focused enough on basketball? Clearly he's not. I think it's one thing to have... What do you think?
Starting point is 00:43:04 Yeah, it's one thing to have a record label on this side of the world. To focus on international artists, I think you have to, you have to do too much crate digging to do that, to be, to be competent. You have to really be up on it. I don't know how much time, listen, put down the dual lingo, pick up the playbook, right? Like, you have to really, really lock in on what the Raptors are doing. I don't think he has it.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Yeah. One thing you should actually know what the Raptors, they might have the best defense in the Eastern Conference. Kawai, Scottie Barnes, Colomery Boyles is a ridiculous defensive lineup. Pretty much no matter who's out there at guard. Archie Berry gives us some size at the two guard, quickly can move his feet good enough to bring that together. That's going to be an absolutely ludicrous defense in the times they put Colomery Boyles
Starting point is 00:43:46 at the five. Yeah, it's going to be disgusting. It's going to be disgusting. And if they made the Western Conference finals, it would not surprise me. That would surprise me because they're in the East. Yeah, each conference, that will not surprise me at all. But I did send in the chat his one of his links to a couple bars. Bro, I see, I seen one of the videos.
Starting point is 00:44:03 I don't want to play it because of copyright, but I'll play the video. Yo, Kauai is tweaking, bro. He has an artist named Rich Raca. Yeah. Who put out some. What is he throwing up? What is he? Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:44:23 My bad. They're banging Korea, too. Oh, she banging six. Oh man, that's funny. All right. Philadelphia 76ers. Next team. Well, they got LeBron.
Starting point is 00:44:41 That's one thing that, like, you should know. I need to know that. Did you fucking forget? Kind of pass my mind a little bit. Yeah. You fucking forgot. You fucking forgot. You know what?
Starting point is 00:44:54 We should never give him access to the time. I think one thing you know about the fact that add LeBron James and Jeline to the team in one off season is the Florida. very high. They will be a good team. The ceiling of this is going to be the easy conversation. It's going to be true. There's only one ball to go around. And how they figure out the exact alchemy of usage is going to decide this team's future, I think. I think the depth is pretty good. The guys make sense together. Multiple of these stars can play off ball. There's a way it works extremely well. But also, Embed and Jalen Brown were tied for the highest playoff usage rate
Starting point is 00:45:33 amongst players at least 100 minutes last year in the playoffs, the highest who's stars when they're on the court, and Maxie for the season had the second most possession time being the point guard, the ball in his hands a lot. And, you know, there's this other little guy named LeBron James who you probably want the ball in his hands a little bit. Time or two.
Starting point is 00:45:49 This is the ultimate, like, diamond tester for Nick Nurse, honestly. Yes, and Diamond tester for like, is it possible to have this many ball handlers that make it work just because... Especially off the bench, too. They're high IQ. Yeah, off the bench. We have Phylon, Simon's.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Oh my God, Vijay's still there. Holy fuck. And Vijay, who we want to grow into a more robust role over time and put the ball in his hands a little bit. I think it probably will work to whatever degree we'll see, but they legitimately have a lot to figure out
Starting point is 00:46:14 with the simple, there's only one ball question. Now Tyrese started his career playing off ball with James Hardin with Ben Simmons, obviously with Joel and beat his whole career. He can play off ball. He's got a taste at the ball
Starting point is 00:46:26 in his hands, being a star. Where does that line go? Because now he's so good you want the ball in his hands sometimes. He's not going to be just off ball like he was back then. Jaylon Brown is a fantastic offball player. Very good cutter.
Starting point is 00:46:35 It can attack closeouts. He got the taste of being the superstar last year of the ball in his hands. He's going to say, I'm fine with it. Where's that line? LeBron James. He's going to say, I'm cool being the fourth option. I'm here to win, do the small things. He obviously didn't like that last year with Reeves and Lou Good to some extent.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Where's the line? Juelan Bede kind of does need the ball on his hands to be effective at this point of his career since he can't move quite as well anymore. You need to have Joel and Bede post-stches because that's what he's so good at still as an isolation player. They'll find ways to make him viable space in the floor. being the role man, whatever, where's that line? B.J. Edgecombe surely has a vision for himself to be a star. He'll buy into a role because he wants to win and he's a respectable young player that
Starting point is 00:47:12 knows how to do and sacrifice. Where's that line? None of that is an easy question to answer, I think. I think the easiest question to answer, though, for this team is that LeBron is by far and away still the best decision maker for this team on a play-by-play basis. And that's one thing that everyone else, outside I get to O&B maybe, like dramatically lacks. like Tyrese Max, he's been so many times where he can be over tasked with too many point guard, like responsibilities, traditional pointguards responsibilities. I don't need to say anything about Jayne Brown.
Starting point is 00:47:41 It comes to that because that's never been his bag ever. Vijay, he's like a solely a two guard. And then Joel Embed, he is a good decision maker, but he's not the type of like, he doesn't bend offenses with his passing in similar ways. It's like Yolkitch or even LeBron obviously too. And LeBron's best decision maker at this point of his career, at least amongst four stars taking out VJ. He's probably the least talented creator for himself at this point of his career. So that's a strange combination when you need LeBron to make decisions. But then you need a bucket.
Starting point is 00:48:09 You probably want the ball in Jalen and Terry's Maxie's hand or even Embed. Again, it's just a weird alchemy to figure out. Yeah. I think even the Brown like playing fourth option, I do think that I think it's different being the fourth option to Maxie Jalen Brown and Bede than to Austin Reeves. Who like even though that Austin Reeves is like a really, really good. good player just in terms of overall stature in the league these other guys seem to have a little bit more more like cachet i think it's also different i think that that's a little different yeah i think it's also different because he chose it he decided to go there and i chose the sacrifice not you traded my guy for luca
Starting point is 00:48:48 and took my team away for me i i think that might be the bigger thing even then just i don't respect ruse as much it's probably like you forced me into this role when i was supposed to be the face of the the fucking league now i'm choosing to do this by my own volition because i'm old maybe that motivates him to be more buying into rotating and blocking shots and all this stuff. But he's also very old and I don't know how much juicy he has left in the tank for that small stuff. Also, I think it's completely different when it's four. Like, people have been bringing up the fact that, like you mentioned,
Starting point is 00:49:13 Tyrese maxi, he started off as like an offball guard. But it's completely different when there's four stars you have to share the ball with. And maybe five. I don't want to ride off VJ in that conversation. Yeah. Yeah. And like, maybe only two of them are like really strong off ball. And I wouldn't even say like LeBron's like the strongest off ball.
Starting point is 00:49:31 I'm just thinking about how the Warriors made it work with their big four I think the fact that Steph, Clay, KD, you know, they can operate without the ball in their hands and Dremont never needed the ball in his hands like that's a big part of why that way. And they made it work because Dremont is a brilliant defensive player. Yeah. There's no brilliant defensive player in those four. Yeah, the Warriors were much more complimentary.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Yeah. With those four guys than what the sixes are right now. I think that they will have a, the hardest part will be the four players, but I think that the smaller combinations within the four will be fine because Embed's going to miss time. LeBron is going to miss a little bit of time. These guys are beating it out. And so you're going to have stretches of the season
Starting point is 00:50:15 where you can really lock in and focus on the LeBron and Maxie two-man game or Jalen Brown and Maxie working off of each other. There's going to be time where Vijay can go out and get his bucket for the night. I think the playoff series where if the Sixers manage Joelle and Bede properly and he's able to be there in the in the playoffs, that's going to be something where we'll be in like a first round series. It'll be like game three or something. And all five of them are going to look around and be like, who takes the last shot?
Starting point is 00:50:47 Like that's going to be the more interesting thing as opposed to, in my opinion, as opposed to the 82 game. Also, I think that's fair that'll help gel certain duos also could be viewed as a problem because. getting them all together at the same time is going to need as many reps as possible, and you just won't get that consistently with the Embed problem specifically. So, I don't know, like you said, Nick Nurse, you got a tough job in front of you. Yeah. We'll see how it goes. I'm very interested.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Who has a Brooklyn Nets last team in this division? I have the Brooklyn Nets. And the most important thing that you should know is that, yo, interesting fact. This is very real. There are the only team in the NBA to never have an MVP, a defensive player that you. year, six man of the year, coach of the year, or most improved player of the year. Really? They have nothing other than a rookie of the year.
Starting point is 00:51:37 And who was that? They've had two of those. Some Buck Williams and then some other guy like in the 90s, but he just like average 10 points. The game was like a very whatever rookie season or whatever. Shout out Buck Williams. Yes, exactly. Now, with all that being said, I don't think he will win it.
Starting point is 00:51:52 But you should know this is going to be the first time in this new era. where, you know, Joy Diffran is going to be really recognized as one of the better, passionate, smarter coaches in the entire league. And I don't think he's necessarily going to win coach of the year, but he's definitely going to get his name thrown out there more. And they're going to be a much more interesting team to watch and they've been in the past. Yeah, I think he's coached the year caliber, whether or not the team successful enough or has a narrative arc on their side for him to win it, we will see. I suppose it's possible that Randall, MPJ, and Jomon, Dayron Sharp as a starting center who I have a lot of stock in, that that's the same. like 41 team and that they're the surprise playing level team that can get you a coach for the year conversations especially when the PR and randle and mpjara is a low maybe there's a path
Starting point is 00:52:36 there yeah and what if like yoman takes the leap mckell brown junior ends up like being all those allegations that he faced in college through injury and he ends up just coming into the league allegation like yeah because injury prone he's like a bad decision maker and yada yada yada yada from the period of like jordan pool and shit not like that like that what you said may total sense, I think allegations is one of those words that we're not allowed to use in public context anymore. There's too many things.
Starting point is 00:53:03 This world is crazy. That word's been taken from us. No, for sure. But if he comes to the league and averages like a cool 16 points, which is in out the room, if they win 45 games, I think it's kind of the picture. You're saying 45, not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:53:16 I think, I think 45 is absolutely. That's the highest mark. Yeah, it's absolutely not going to happen. Yeah, I don't think 45 is. If they get to 45, I will replace the liver that you gave him, I will give you mine. They're not winning 45. We're just passing livers with it.
Starting point is 00:53:31 But I do agree. No one wants mine? If we're doing that, I'm drinking. No, man. Next, next bet. Next bet. Be ready. Too much Celsius and no livers from you. Yeah, I think, I think Fernandez can definitely get in there,
Starting point is 00:53:45 especially because the bottom of the East. Like, the East is very strong and we see some teams that we think are going to rise up. But they're going to have to get to. I think seven, like the seven C, they're gonna have to, to, like, earn a playoff spot as opposed to just being one of those other teams because the paces are gonna be better. The heat are gonna be better.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Like the bulls we expect to have like a fun team. What's up? You're talking about playoffs. You know, what you mentioned playoffs? Well, he's saying, like, 8c, 10 C, for him just to get into the conversation. Like, I think, I think that that would have to happen. So I think you're right and you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:54:25 He will get more recognition. but I don't think he's going to be anywhere close to coach the year. Yeah. All right. Well, one thing you need to know, Joey Fernandez is one of the best coaches in the league. Yep. On to the Southwest Division. Donovan, do you have one of these Western Conference teams?
Starting point is 00:54:38 I do have the Southwest Division. I have Dallas Mavericks. I have the Dallas Mavericks. We're going to stick with the coaching thing. Dusty May is their new head coach. Tell me about that. I actually don't know much about him other than the fact that he's a college coach coming in and brought one of his guys with the draft.
Starting point is 00:54:50 And that's the exact reason why you should know this. So he's never coached in the NBA at all. And the last couple of coaches who have, who have done this, it's a very, very weird list of coaches. It's Dusty May now, John B. Llein, who coached for the Cavs in 2019. Fred Hoiberg, who coached for the Bulls. Yes. Brad Stevens. Yeah, Brad Stevens did this.
Starting point is 00:55:15 And then you have a whole one, and then you have a whole list of Mike Montgomery, Long Kruger, Tim Floyd, Leonard Hamilton, guys that we don't really remember because this oftentimes does not work out of going straight from college to, the NBA, no in between, no experience. And I think it's super interesting for the Mavericks because you have Cooper Flagg, who's very, very young, you have Kyrie coming back off of the ACL injury. You still have some of the pieces from that 24 team that made the finals. What's the actual timeline and what's the idea for what the Mavericks can be? I don't really know.
Starting point is 00:55:51 I think that Cooper Fly can progress a lot this year. but I think that Dusty May has a lot to to prove that he can be the coach of the future because more often times than not hiring somebody straight out of college doesn't work. Seems like a good guy. Huh?
Starting point is 00:56:08 Seems like a good guy. Look at him. Because he's smiling. Yeah. Team morale plus 20%. The bars in hell, man. All a white man has to do is smile. It is to be white.
Starting point is 00:56:21 That's it. That's it. Has asked us. them to win any games. Look, there was a vibe. Yeah. Dude,
Starting point is 00:56:29 you know who must be a vibe? Dwight Powell. What does he do? He has a job forever, bro, when it comes to Dallas Maverick. He isn't a team legend. Yeah. I think he is actually,
Starting point is 00:56:39 right, like a very good luck for him. His vibe must be like incredible. Wow. Toros Achilles like three years ago or more. Oh my God. Yeah. This is nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Okay. Yeah. So I don't, I have no idea what Dusty May is going to to provide. But that, that's just something to watch out for it. Yeah, it's one of the bigger question marks
Starting point is 00:56:57 because if he's great, you can see this team come together pretty quickly around one of the best players in the world as Cooper Flag develops. Yeah. Or it's fucked. We wasted another couple years of Cooper Flag because the coach didn't work out
Starting point is 00:57:06 because he's a college guy. Damn it. Yeah. That's interesting. I can imagine both scenarios clear as day. Sticking in Texas, I have the San Antonio Spurs. One thing you need to know about this team
Starting point is 00:57:17 in the 2026, 27 season. I wrote, I guess Dylan Harper is still going to be the six man. And that's fine. probably. Like, it's probably all right. Maybe not. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Might be a little weird. He's literally monogynobli. Like that's, that's kind of where. Does he want to be monogynobly? No. Probably not. Does he feel like he earns and not be monogenobly? Probably.
Starting point is 00:57:40 I agree. Yeah. Probably. So this season to me and the ability for the end of repeat last year probably comes down to Dylan Harper's willingness to be a young man that has the maturity to sacrifice and be another year off the bench. And I have no clue whether he is or isn't. none of us can know besides him and the people who know him.
Starting point is 00:57:56 That's going to be a pretty big storyline, I think, just because it's easy to imagine that causing some feathers to be ruffled and also easy to tell yourself that you should keep the Aaron Fox and start him and give him time to bounce back. And it is a good thing to have three good guards on your team and have the ability to have insurance for one or the other. It does make sense to not just trade him emotionally because he had a bad playoff series off a bum ankle. It makes sense in all these ways as long as everybody is willing to buy in and they have
Starting point is 00:58:19 the coach to make it all work and maintain that. That's not a given that just because Dylan Harper was cool that as a rookie, that it all is fine and good into the second year. Deering, you have until Thanksgiving to prove that this is still your job. That might be the other side of it. You know, like, I think that he has a very short least because I do think that, I think that Miss Johnson and everybody who watched that series understood, yeah, Dylan Harper probably should have closed more games. and the ball should have been in his hands a little bit more, especially when he was one of the only people that was cooking with the ball and his hands creating for himself,
Starting point is 00:58:57 getting to the rim as easily as he did. If Deerrin Fox comes out and the jumper is not falling, the mid-ring shot doesn't come back, that's something where Dillon Harper will see what he's worked on or what he's been able to add to his bag in the off-season. If Dillon Harper's jumper is starting to come along, and Deerrin Fox's is going the other way, that's something where I can see them making a switch,
Starting point is 00:59:23 especially early on in the season, that you have time to grow into it. So we talked about the playoffs being a job interview for Deer & Fox all last year. You made it to the second round of the job interview. You have to prove it again. Because Dylan Harper did show that trio of Harper Castle, Wembe is very clearly the overall future of this team.
Starting point is 00:59:44 And I think it's more likely than not that Dylan Harper is their second best player this year. Which you can't bench Deer and Fox. You have to trade him or keep Dylan Harper
Starting point is 00:59:54 on the bench and your second best player has come off the bench. It's a strange circumstance for now that could go well and could be the same beautiful balance
Starting point is 01:00:00 that they had last year. Man Mitch Johnson, you better be talking to those guys every day maintaining the camaraderie the locker rooms. They have to buy in. Manu would already be around the facility a lot.
Starting point is 01:00:10 He got to be in Delon Harper's ear the entire year consistently, bro. Yep, yep. Or we're going to trade Deer and Fox for Franz Wagner or something, I don't know, whatever. Start for Star Swap. That would be awesome.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Franz on the Spurs? It's kind of disgusting. I love that. You got a lot of slashing guards still that don't shoot that well, but still, probably better. Yeah. We'll be figured it out. Yeah, that's about it for the Spurs.
Starting point is 01:00:32 You know, they're going to be one of the best teams to league again. Other than that, that's the only thing that can derail them. Yes. Who has the Houston Rockets? I got the Rockets. Everyone's healthy on this team. Yes, yes. Hurrah.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Congrats for them. But I think what's the most interesting? for them this up and coming year really is their draft capital. I think they have the most interesting set of picks over the next few years. For this year specifically, they have the Brooklyn Nets pick swap
Starting point is 01:01:00 more favorable for them. So I'm assuming they're going to go ahead and accept that. The Brooklyn Nets, again, I said they could possibly win like 45 games at their peak. It wouldn't surprise if they won like, I don't know 35 games. And then they luck themselves way into the like number third overall pick in the draft. On top of that, too,
Starting point is 01:01:17 They also just have the Phoenix Suns pick just flat out. So prime them to have the most interesting draft capital this year, but also in a couple years from now, too, they have the best of, they have swap rights for Phoenix's pick again in 2029. And also they're tied up in like the Dallas Mavericks pick as well. So just know they're in like prime position. And when you think of next disgruntal star from yada yada team or whatever being, whoever it might be, the Phoenix Suns might be.
Starting point is 01:01:47 towards the top, sorry, another Phoenix Suns. The Houston Rockets might be towards the top of the teams who have the most interesting assets to make a move because obviously they have Kevin Durant. He's like, what, 38, going to be turning 39 soon. He's not getting any younger. You paid all your young guys. You want to win now and you want to be like somewhat good.
Starting point is 01:02:08 And these assets that they have right now directly allow them to do that. Yeah. Yeah, a very interesting team this year because I think even without upgrades, just a very easy path to tell yourself this team will be one of those teams at the top of the West.
Starting point is 01:02:22 Bring you back for Evan Elite, Stephen Adams, hopefully Reach Ever gets better, a man got paid, gets better. All the things you could track as like easy to imagine building blocks, they should be a very good team. If you tell me they have a trade in them to make themselves a great team,
Starting point is 01:02:36 okay, I can buy rocket stock right now. Yeah, they're definitely going to be in the market. Bro, I forget. I forget. Last year, they won 52 games with Fred out out and Stephen Adams out for majority of the year, bro. And the media day was yesterday. They all sound very excited to have Fred back.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Yeah. And very reliant on Fred, I think, from the tone of everybody. It was very much like Fred got us was the vibe I was getting. It felt like we're all like Fred's here were good. I'm scared, man. Yeah, he needs. Older guy. It's a lot on his shoulders.
Starting point is 01:03:05 It's a lot on his shoulders. And now it's a role that doesn't require him to do a ton. It requires him to be additive in small ways that you could tell yourself doesn't need the utmost athleticism, but you could also imagine a world where the injury saps just enough athleticism that you can't do shit. And it's like, damn, Fred's not ready to do this anymore and we need somebody else.
Starting point is 01:03:23 That would be unfortunate. Yeah, I want to see the trade for Garland now, man. I set the tone in my mind. They got to get Garland. That's a lot of big contracts. Is that even possible? Who are they trained for him? Figure it out.
Starting point is 01:03:32 I don't know. Shangoon, no, no. It doesn't matter. Say, okay. Shangu, fuck it. Bro, Reed looks crazy. He makes a lot, honestly, like, no, Fred makes like $40 million.
Starting point is 01:03:42 No, does he make 40 anymore? No, they're not doing anymore. He's like, it's 25. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:47 Read looks crazy. Yeah. It's a decent look though. Yeah, also people were talking about the look. He put some weight on. He's looking braolic.
Starting point is 01:03:55 Yeah. Wow. Yeah, he was looking, he's looking beefy. He's like, I'm not getting targeted this year. She had nightmares all summer. I don't believe him,
Starting point is 01:04:04 bro. I guess. I mean, I mean, I mean, Philly people with the mustache. Your hair looks good. It's better
Starting point is 01:04:11 than the standard eighth grade white boy haircut he had before? It's cool. I like the long hair. No, my sash, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:04:20 He got to do something with it. I think he looked better with like a head with like a headband or something. That's kind of crazy. That's a lot. That's all going on. Yeah. He's like Kurt Rambus.
Starting point is 01:04:30 Yeah, it is kind of wild. Who has the New Orleans Pelicans? Unfortunately, that's me. You can't get yourself anything good? It's all unfortunate with them? Joe Dumars said on the offseason, well, so one,
Starting point is 01:04:44 Jamal Mosley is the coach, which... Easy to forget. Yeah. Which was pretty shocking whenever they hired him. But Jamal Mosley is somebody who went into Orlando and helped establish this culture. Like, we're going to play very, very hard. We're going to be a defensive team. Now, whether, you know, that ends up bringing dividends, who knows.
Starting point is 01:05:07 But I think that's important because Joe Dumas said in the offseason, we have really good talent on our team. And if we stay healthy, we have a healthy. a competitive team and it falls in line with everything that they have done which is not trading their players saying that some guys are untradable he said that they were taking offers in the off season they just didn't feel like they got fair market value for for their players and so that's why they didn't make any moves so which means people were calling about dray murphy yes but right now the pelicans are and joe dumar specifically is looking at this team and saying we actually
Starting point is 01:05:42 can compete now do the number say that that? No. Do the number of games that anybody is playing say that? No. However, this is their mindset and this is what they want to do and this is the standard that they are going to ask to be judged by. And I think that for the Pelicans, they aren't, they don't have like no talent. They're not, they're not like the kings where you don't really have anything. You have Zion. You have something there and Derek Queen and Jeremiah Fears and your rookies of last year. Everybody's calling about Tray Murphy, Herb Jones is back. Maybe something can shake with the new coach.
Starting point is 01:06:20 But I think that going into this season with an open mind for the experience is what we should do with the New Orleans Pelicans. Okay. It is tough because I don't have faith in them for real. But amongst horrible teams, this is like the highest volume of good players. So I kind of understand what they're saying. That they're saying there's some combination of these amazingly. talented players that will work.
Starting point is 01:06:45 I don't know what it is. And I think it's probably hard to get there for politics reasons because like maybe that involves starting Jeremiah Fears and letting him grow. I don't want to start him in Dejante. You also can't really bench Dejante given his age, really, and like his place on this team. He's looking for a new contract too as well. Yeah, you can't really bench Dejante for real.
Starting point is 01:07:02 It's not going to work out. You probably shouldn't bench Trey Murphy and Herb Jones. Fuck no. Can't. Now we're getting to a place where that's a lot of players. I'm already saying you can't bench. You probably can't play Zion and Queen together. but individually they both have similar capabilities.
Starting point is 01:07:14 That's the biggest thing. It ruined me for real. Yeah. Like, Sadiq Bay's good. You just paid him. He has to come off the bench, I think. Bro,
Starting point is 01:07:21 I hate teams like this. We're like, there's so many players that you just know would change the life of another playoff teams. Like outlook, they're just stuck on this team. There's legit five players right now on this team who could be like legitimate swing factors
Starting point is 01:07:36 for other teams in either conference. Yeah, the Bulls weren't like that when they had like Levine, Lonzo and them. Like after we already knew it was kind of cooked, I'm going to trade one of them, please, because it's going to change another team's life.
Starting point is 01:07:46 And to that point, I think this probably results and they try and they figure out what that duo or group of players is, and then they shed some pieces at the deadline. Which maybe that's a win now, a win for both timelines, right? They figure out who the group is they like. Maybe it ends up being Dejante,
Starting point is 01:08:00 and maybe they can't start fears. He's six-man. Okay, that brings us clarity. Maybe we do like with Sadiq Bay and Trey Murphy do together and the big workout. Okay, we can trade Herb Jones and go get a first-on-pick for him. Cool.
Starting point is 01:08:12 Whatever the combination of it is, the things they figure out, I imagine they'll have some type of clarity by the deadline, and we will see some trades. Yeah, it's just a hard thing. So, like, the combo of Dejante, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, Zion. That's good. That actually was a plus lineup for them. But they only played like 145 minutes last year.
Starting point is 01:08:30 Like all of the combinations that they had, if they played, if they had a positive rating, it's because they played like 50 minutes together. It was such a small sample size on what they were doing. and everybody that was playing together for real, they're getting blitzed all the time. And so I do think that there's, like you said, there's some weird concoction of players
Starting point is 01:08:51 where they can be on a night-to-night basis like the scary, some like scary, you know, team that you don't want to play on like a Tuesday because they do have some talent. But I think that eventually Trey Murphy will be out of here. Because I don't think that they're going to be good. And so I think that he will be gone because Joe Dumars will end up trading him.
Starting point is 01:09:11 But they do have talent. They're like the Cardinals where like you look at the roster and it's like, I mean, he's good, he's good, he's good. Yeah. I think they're way less competent in the Cardinals. They have they have the, I mean, listen, they're both going to go 0 and 16, but like. No, Cardinals already beat the Chargers. True. I forgot about that.
Starting point is 01:09:31 I think Zion needs to be traded. Yeah. I think that's the elephant in the room that would make a lot of this makes sense. I think we saw last year, Zion's numbers all down around. the whole stat sheet, Zion's not worse now. They have no interest in playing through Zion at this point.
Starting point is 01:09:45 They either believe he can't say healthy with that much usage, they either believe they'd rather put the ball on the hands of the other guys and his small stuff doesn't warrant being treated like to start playing anymore because he won't rebound, won't rotate, etc. Whatever the reason is,
Starting point is 01:09:56 his ass is sitting in the dunker spot instead of being point Zion. Yes. Send him to Chicago. If they, sure. If they trade him, then you're tearing everything down and I'm actually scared for the Pelicans
Starting point is 01:10:05 because I don't know. What has John led you to? It's already been, I'm just saying, I don't trust Joe Dumars to lead a rebuild. Me neither. And I don't think it'll go,
Starting point is 01:10:15 it won't go well in any way that matters. But I think you can tell yourself we trade him and Derek Queen, Jeremiah Fierce, Trey Murphy, that's our new core to build around and hope those guys become stars.
Starting point is 01:10:25 Can Derek Queen become Shingoon? Maybe, I don't know. That's like not a horrible bet for training Zion, I guess. You're getting some assets for Zion. That is probably the most desirable path, I think. I think the ceiling with Zion,
Starting point is 01:10:37 clearly, it's not going to work out in New Orleans. you can probably get some first-on-pick capital for them. Nothing amazing, not a haul, but you can get something and put the value in the time into the guys that you probably believe in more as people and as teammates and they have higher ceiling because they're not in year seven or whatever. Sacramento, what do you want to do? I mean, that would be interesting, honestly.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Yeah, we've been talking about this forever. I wanted them on the heat before they got Janus, and now that doesn't make sense. There's a bunch of teams he can make sense on. Yeah, he just needs to, they need to trade him so they can save themselves or also save his career as well, because they're not doing anything for each other at all. He's led to nothing but disappointment
Starting point is 01:11:13 and new lottery picks with having him as the helm of your organization and shedding him and getting another first round pick would be a massive win for both sides. Because at this point, like, you know, on the court, your team has been, this past year specifically, you're one of the worst rebounding themes in the entire league, okay? Weird.
Starting point is 01:11:31 You're also a team that takes a lot of shots at the rim. That's great. But also you're the least efficient team that takes shots at the rim. that's great what am i supposed to get out of the scene at all you have no redeeming qualities and you're at a point in where you have not necessarily two timelines but you have two faces of the franchise are you trying to figure out who's really that guy i think zanzar to answer that question so i agree like setting him and letting him go while trying to pour your all into something like
Starting point is 01:11:58 dare queen and if that doesn't work out cool beans who cares you have all your pretty much like you're all your draft capital unless you're rock bro you have all the assets in the world let's try him for jimmy butler Get him next to some vets. Let's save him. Al Horford, teaching him in the ways. He's so disgusting.
Starting point is 01:12:19 Yaxel and Zion give them as lettuce as a mixture of curry. Yaxon 3, Zion, 4, Jemont 5. Hey, Tom. Drey, B pods, Yaxel, Zion,
Starting point is 01:12:29 Dremon. I don't know. It's probably fun. I don't know if to win anything. I feel like, all right. It falls in line with the ethos of the worst. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:12:38 we're trying to get some youth around them. Sure. Prozine is there too. Hold on. I'm just talking, but like maybe I'm talking some shit that matters. You think Steve Kerr would want to do that? Probably, I don't. Actually, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Steve Kurt thinks about Zion. I think you'll get use on his iron. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, he'll put the one on his hands. I don't think any coaches dying to coach Zion right now. I don't think he seems like he's a very coachable player that you're going to enjoy having in your room. So there's probably a lot of teams where I can say it makes sense. And they're like, get that guy away for me.
Starting point is 01:13:02 Yeah. We'll see, though. Last team in this division, we have the Memphis Grizzlies. Ah, the Memphis Grizzlies. Positive talk. Ah. No one will get rebounds versus this team. Between Zach Eadie, Boozer, and beef stew as I do, which I forget.
Starting point is 01:13:21 Like this team is just going to get all the fucking rebounds in the goddamn world. They're long as well from the wing position to between Sederk Howard, John Wells. They're mad interesting. And I think they're going to be one of the harder teams to deal with on a night-to-night basis, obviously mainly because of size. And I expect this team statistically to lead them. Lee in rebounds per game because having to stop Edy and deal with the high-level actions between him and Zikambuzer, which I can envision right now, it's going to be incredibly hard to do.
Starting point is 01:13:53 And a lot of really, a lot of this is going to be, like, behind the back of Zach Edy. And you should expect him to be, like, one of the most, like, probably he might win MIP next year. I don't know, he may be like a dark horse. Maybe this kind of cheating because he got hurt or whatever. But I think he could, like, stamp himself as one of the better centers in, like, a top 10 center in the league this year. Easy.
Starting point is 01:14:11 He's really look out for him. If he's healthy. But the if is as big as it could possibly be with the big guy dealing with foot injuries. So we'll either get hurt again and he'll never amount to anything that matters for the team because he's never going to say healthy, which would suck. Or I agree. If he's healthy and Boozer is who we think he is, I think it could be a playing team. If ED play 70 games.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Yeah, it could definitely get there. I think this is a playing team if ED plays 70 games. Oh, okay. My bad. But like, it's a flip of a coin. Either he's a healthy guy or he's not and he's the next big guy destroyed by injuries. I literally have no way to know. If he's healthy, I think this is a playing team.
Starting point is 01:14:45 70s is a lot. Yeah, but I mean, he's that type of guy that deals with a lot of small stuff. It's been giant stuff. Either he plays 10 games or 70. I don't know. It's either going to be the season's ruin in the first half because he breaks his foot again or he's good. They surgically prepare that well and he's a normal NBA player, right?
Starting point is 01:15:00 Like, he's not a tiki-tag injury type of guy, I don't think. So I think I can tell myself there's a world in which he's healthy or he's not at all. We know pretty quickly. Who knows? Yeah. we'll see but they're going to be it's going to happen yeah i mean 70s a lot for anybody so obviously it's not optimistic number but the point is i think if he's healthy to a regular degree and isn't
Starting point is 01:15:18 the next guy whose feet ruin him i think there'll be a playing team with him boozer and jerome as their three best players yeah i agree i agree so grizzlies your sneaky hipster woke basketball team of the year invest now back to the asian conference to the central division i have the Milwaukee bucks and this is the team i struggled with the most to tell you guys one thing you should know about them. I really, I think you should know they will play basketball in the 2026, 2027 season with professional players
Starting point is 01:15:49 under guaranteed contracts in which they'll be paid fair market value in exchange for their labor. I think that's incorrect. I don't know if they're being paid fair market value. You think someone's getting scammed? Maybe. The fans.
Starting point is 01:16:01 Who's underpaid? Maybe Ryan Ronald. Oh, no, no. Gary Trent Jr.'s under, he's overpaid. He's scamming. Oh, yeah. That's all that's all just not fair market value.
Starting point is 01:16:09 Yeah. Who cares? We're a pro worker here This is proletarian Gary Tram being a hero for the people I guess Let him get paid another table They're investigating it still by the way
Starting point is 01:16:16 Our hook came out this morning That's so funny If that's one of the things Are it's like yeah Right whatever Yeah So they're opposed to honest They will be a basketball team
Starting point is 01:16:22 I think I guess the only thing That really matters As far as one thing you should know Is that they still don't have Pick control until 2013 Then they'll start getting the Miami picks They're traded for Janus And they'll start to have like
Starting point is 01:16:31 Multiple picks in given years But for the next four drafts They do not have control their picks Which similar path That's pretty crazy right? Clipbies of the years So you've got no pick or it's a swap And they'll get like a thunder pick or something
Starting point is 01:16:44 Everybody has to swap with the thunder Every year the thunder pig is going somewhere else it seems But yeah That'll define what they want to do Because they cannot tank They cannot even have the path towards being a middle of the road team That sneaks into a top pick Because they do not have control of their pick
Starting point is 01:16:59 All they can do is prioritize development And finding as many gems as they can And doing everything they can to field the best players And put them in the best position to succeed So what does that look like? probably empowering Ryan Rollins. Then we have to ask a question, can Ryan Rollins and a hero play together?
Starting point is 01:17:14 I think so, but I can also see that not working super well because they want to do similar things. Then you got trade hero. Okay, we do that. Is Hammi Hawkees your starting small forward? Is Kalo where you're starting center? We got to figure out what we have
Starting point is 01:17:25 and these might be he guys who we want to keep around, trade the rest. We kind of have to just do everything we can to pick the young players that we want to develop and choose our spots wisely. Well, they're investing in a Tyler Hero. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:37 They recreate. and T.J. Forrest Picks. This was his idea. You had to make sure that was clear. Oh, for sure. I'm a thousand percent sure. This was his idea. Okay, Tyler.
Starting point is 01:17:50 Do you approve? It was kind of tough. He's rapper for a city. Cool. I like that he's not a poser in this cosplay. This is just him. He's a tried and true white guy that wants to be black.
Starting point is 01:18:03 Like, he's being honest with himself here. He's not putting on a facade. Like, this is him. It may be. be ethical. Ethical cosplay, ethical appropriation. I've seen... He gonna do a double down.
Starting point is 01:18:17 I forget the name of the podcast, but you know, Devin Walker. Okay. Do you know how I'm talking? He used to be on SNO. Yes, yes, he has the music podcast. Yes, yes, I like him. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:28 So he was saying the same, he had somebody on his, on his podcast, they were saying the same thing about Jack Harlow where he was like, I think it's a very ethical way of being a wigger because because like this is
Starting point is 01:18:41 this is just you. Yeah. Right? Like you're not, you're not trying to be something that you're not. That's kind of how Tyler Hero is. And so we might
Starting point is 01:18:50 might have to applaud it. Like, you know? I think the ultimate limit says for me like the diamond test is like, all right, yeah. Say you're wiggas.
Starting point is 01:18:56 Show me your five best friends right now. Show me the neighbor he grew up in. I might believe it. You go to Wisconsin, right? Yeah. I'm in just pockets in every city. I don't know. There is, but.
Starting point is 01:19:05 I don't know exactly how you grew up. Yeah. I don't know. We'll see. We'll figure it out when I look into the crowds. I think it's the AAU circus. I get him. He might grow up in the widest neighborhood of all time. Play AAU basketball. I guess who's around? He's going home to a certain place. But when he's out in the world, on some Cooper flag type of thing. Cooper five was getting those.
Starting point is 01:19:24 Has to. In Maine. Has to. Yeah. Next team is division in Chicago Bulls. Oh, I also have them. One thing you need to know about the 2026, 2027 Chicago Bulls, the NBA, is currently constructed is now built exactly for teams like you.
Starting point is 01:19:41 For a decade plus, we've been saying the Bulls are embarrassment. They're mid. All we say for the four years this podcast has existed, the Bulls are mid, mid, mid, mid will always be mid. Mid is up right now. Welcome to the era of mid. Money spreads. Money spreads.
Starting point is 01:19:56 You met the NBA in a very mid time of their lives because right now the new lottery odds promote mid. You are the perfect team for the new NBA, and that is not exaggerating. You have young players and Caleb Wilson and Boozellis that you can develop and feel good about don't get in there if you'd like
Starting point is 01:20:10 or whoever else, Senge, whatever. You have your young core. You can't be bad and you can't be great. There's no chance you're either. This won't be the worst team in the league. I guarantee it. This also won't be the best team in the Eastern Conference.
Starting point is 01:20:21 I guarantee it. You have zero range of outcomes in this season that go bad or great. It just will be good for you. So get ready for the number one overall pick. Like, yeah, low key. Yeah. This is a 12th seed of I've ever seen it, man, for sure.
Starting point is 01:20:33 Like, history says you'll be made every year. You have like, Over the course of a decade of you being made no matter what, you'll probably get the normal pick at some point. Yes. Or at least a top four pick again. They have all their picks for the future. So yes, you're right. They're primed to dominate for the rest of the decade.
Starting point is 01:20:47 Yeah, you didn't do much of anything right. Yes. But you just got blessed by being in the perfect spot. You might have the best future in the league. Yeah. Yeah. They're the most honestly is the first time. And I guess you can say since November 2021, where I'm like overly interested in the Chicago Bulls because they got two athletic freaks and Bluezel.
Starting point is 01:21:06 and Caleb Williams. I think Buzz is primed to have a breakout year. And then Josh Giddy, this is like perfectly suited basketball for him. And then Norm Powell's there too. Was he an All-Star last year? Technically. Yeah, something like that. After like 1920 points, he's a fucking flamethrower.
Starting point is 01:21:21 And he gives you all this face into this team fucking needs. Yeah. You're an ethical rebuild now. Like you're what the league wants. You're the face of proper basketball etiquette. Well, man. That's crazy. And that's great.
Starting point is 01:21:32 And good for you. To go from a disgrace to the example overnight is, Is that that's a change that we never see And good for you You got important I work by accident I will be at couple of Bulls games This year for sure
Starting point is 01:21:43 Oh I'm sure I'll be many Well many is the stretch But yeah For me many I don't go to games that often They're like watching your home So for me like four It's a lot
Starting point is 01:21:50 I might go to four Yeah They're fine I'll go to two at least Probably four Probably three Probably three It depends on who's coming
Starting point is 01:22:01 I'm going to three I'll put it in stamped I'm going to three You're watching Luka and then I'm sure you want to see LeBron in the Sixers here. I'm going to three. Yeah. But yeah, so shout out to you.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Things will go well for you this year. I think Caleb Wilson is going to be a star. I think Modis is going to develop into a nice secondary option next to him. And you'll probably get a top five pick because you're just in the perfect spot. Good for you. Who has the Cavaliers? I have the Cleveland Cavaliers. And the most interesting thing, important thing that you should know is that James Harden got a contract extension this year, this past summer.
Starting point is 01:22:35 and he will be outside of LeBron James the most at the end of his contract, the most breaded 40-year-old in NBA history. He's going to be making $33 million a year at fucking 40 years old. That's outrageous. That's crazy. Now, of course, like, forsy, there's other guys around his age. Curry has him and who knows it's going to happen with him. Katie, he's inching towards that.
Starting point is 01:22:57 But he signed his contract extension last year. Who knows it's going to happen? But as of today, he's going to be the most bredded 40-year-old outside of LeBron in NBA history. I don't know if that feels good. That feels quite bad if you ask you what I imagine a 40-year-old James Hardin looking like. Because it's something that you, I guess, you kind of had to do because you gave up Garland, who's a thriving 26-year-old star with injury issues or whatever, and you gave up on him.
Starting point is 01:23:24 And you pretty much want this to be your point guard answer for the next few years. But at $40 million, eish. I will say, if he grows into being my colony for the past couple of years. Okay. I mean, the money's a lot on paper, but as the cap continues to expand, it's not like, it's not, it's like half a max money these days. Put it in context what half of max money was in 2020. Okay. Half of max money for Mike Conley though. Yeah, me and Moe looked at Mike Connolly stats last season. Oh yeah. I don't know if you want that.
Starting point is 01:23:55 I don't mean, like, can you imagine 40 year old hard? No, no, no, no, no, no, I don't mean, I'm good Mike Conley. Good old man Mike Conley played four years ago. Okay. Not my colony's mega watch now. I mean, like four years ago when he was like that Shepherd of being a professional that can bring a team together, but not do a whole lot, but he's a good piece to be the point guard.
Starting point is 01:24:15 But do you think 40-year-old would be that, though? That's what I'm asking. Yeah, I think his passing can be that. He's still always going to be stout and have some defensive abilities that he's not going to be a complete liability because he's not tiny. Not going to be a good defender. But like, I think he'll be enough to be that role. Good passer can spot up.
Starting point is 01:24:32 I kind of do think he could be that. I don't know, man. That sounds a nightmare. to me. Yeah, I don't love it. For $40 million. I don't love it either. But I just, I kind of, I kind of can squint and get it opposed to the alternative of like letting them walk
Starting point is 01:24:45 or something. I can kind of begin to understand it. It's also not going to be an amount that like destroys your cap. At that point, an expiring contract for $30 million, you can probably get rid of them. I can kind of get it. It's only two years. If it was like four years, I'm like you're a fucking idiot. Altman. But two years are right.
Starting point is 01:25:03 It's a lot. This is bleak, man. Man, it's just bleak. Is this year and next year, or is it three years? I think it's this year and next year. Yeah, I can, this year you're still contending. Hopefully next year to worst case scenario, if you blow it up, you can get rid of that contract isn't expiring.
Starting point is 01:25:17 I kind of don't think it's that big of a deal. Will it work? I don't know. I don't think it's insane. I don't know, man. Yeah, I just don't have anything. Yeah. I'm just stay quiet.
Starting point is 01:25:28 What you should know is Payton Watson can hopefully be the small board. It's a three-year deal also, by the way. Okay, it is three. That's what I thought. Yeah. Tough. Third year, we'll see. We'll see. Hopefully they get two years
Starting point is 01:25:36 for him being really good still. That's the key there. They can deal with one year of him being asked and washed. As expiring, you can deal with that. If it's two years of him being ass and washed, that's a problem. Oh, breaking news.
Starting point is 01:25:46 Lonzo Ball has retired from the NBA. Pour one out. Damn. That's crazy. Damn. I thought he retired last year. Apparently just said in this podcast recently. From the 2017 draft class.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Retired. Retired. I mean, J. and I used to my 20-20-1 draft. class he's retired. Oh. That's medical. Yeah, that's he didn't want to retire. He kind of had to. A lot of guys over here are forced to retirement at the age of like 20.
Starting point is 01:26:15 And none of them were Lonzo, man. None of them were Lonzo. That's damn sure. Next team is division. Who has the Indiana Pacers? I have the last two teams in this division. Tell me what I need know about the Pacers. So not only did they get Zubach this offseason or not this off season, but last year when they traded for him.
Starting point is 01:26:32 They also got Kelly Uber. And that is not some like, oh my goodness, Kelly Uber is going to come in and like average 20. But it is a little bit different because they like Benedict Mathrin is no longer on this team. And so you have these, you still have your pieces. You still have, you still have Nemhard. You still have Needsmith. But you have somebody that doesn't feel like they are the black sheep of the team anymore.
Starting point is 01:26:57 You have somebody that feels like they're going to fit in a little bit more with Uber and with Zubach. And so I think that this new lineup with Halliburton coming back after taking a whole year off dealing with the injuries, dealing with some illnesses and all that stuff, this is a team that is primed for a very, very good regular season. And with bench depth and with a starting lineup that makes sense. Yeah. I think Kelly Ubrai, for some reason, just feels like a really good Patriot player for their style of play that's like super frenetic.
Starting point is 01:27:30 Of course, like, Kelly, where he can get into his mindset where he just turns into a black hole offensive because he has some offensive skills. Last year, he averaged 14, shot 36% from the three point line. That's good. It'd be a good defender too. And he just seems like one of those random guys where, like, he can go off on any night and give you a smooth, like, 18 and just be like a real pain for any team. My bad, real quick off topic. I'm reading these tweets about the report this morning about the Gary Trent Jr. contract. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:58 And Joe Varden from the athletic. writes that if league investigators find proof that the bucks and Gary Trent are guilty what the clippers and Quaila and we're guilty of, the punishment could be equally severe if not worse. Bro. For Gary Trends?
Starting point is 01:28:12 Can you imagine ruining your team? For Gary? Because you wanted to do right by Gary? All this is for Gary? They already don't have their picks in 2013, right? Not so 2037 now, buddy. Yo. Shut on Big Gear.
Starting point is 01:28:28 All this for Gary? What did he do? for you last year. First of all, if that happens, if I'm Tyler Hero, you give me $500 million to say that day. I will hold this franchise up and be a pillar in the community as best as I can. Yo, Gary must have like the most devious blackmail information against their GM, bro, because there's no way. It's not even that. If it is true that they did corruption, it's mad, obvious what they did. They said, we want you on our team.
Starting point is 01:28:56 All we can give you is a minimum. Come take the minimum for two years when we get your bird rights. give you 15 to make up for it. So that's like six or whatever over that stretch of time. Textbook cap manipulation. This day will guarantee you to be paid later on if you take the minimum for now. Mad understandable, not black magic. It's no dark blackmail. It's just we tried to cheat. They saw 30% from the field in eight points. You're like, yo, bro, we want you so bad on our team. You have to stay. You don't know what you do without you. You complete me. You go, bro.
Starting point is 01:29:29 $64 million. So, yeah, send that alarm. Like, he just started 20 games for these guys last year or two. He wasn't even the full-time starter. I honestly don't see any way that contract makes sense unless it was promised to him three years ago when he came. Like, it has to be caps her convention. I want what I got. Bro, if they get their franchise ruined for Gary Trent.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Yeah. Mind you, they gave him that money because they don't want to do wrong by. agent and have these guys against them and have the word out there that they don't honor their deals or whatever. Fuck that agent and fuck his client. You're getting sent to hell for Gary Trent doing it right by him. But it's got to be happening
Starting point is 01:30:09 more in the league now. It probably happens a lot in the way I described honestly. Yeah. But not but not in the way of somebody playing 20 games, somebody's like 20 games for you. This is an especially
Starting point is 01:30:23 egregious circumstance. All right. Yeah, that's nightmarish, man. Last team, this division, Detroit Pistons. What's one thing people do you know about them? Kate Cunningham is kind of sad that beef stews gone. He did say that. He did be with them forever.
Starting point is 01:30:38 He did say that. He told the Detroit Free Press. He said, that's somebody that I plan on playing my whole career with for him to not be around. It is weird. It feels like I'm a rookie again, like I'm stepping into something new because I don't have him with me. And I think that that is very, very important because, one, it does feel like a new. era with the Pistons now that they won 60 games. You won not win the East Conference,
Starting point is 01:31:02 but you were the number one seat in the Eastern Conference. And you are now a competent team. You are out of the wilderness. You have your franchise player. How do you navigate that? On top of that, you traded away beefs dude, lost some dog, loss on hands. Jalen Duren kind of hates you right now.
Starting point is 01:31:19 And after Jalen Duren, your big depth and your big man rotation is rough. Time of the names. It's Paul Reed. Okay. Okay. You saved the world. Okay.
Starting point is 01:31:32 Come on. I mean, listen. If you're trying to win 60, 60 games again, it's Paul Reed. You got John Collins that you're going to have to put at your center position. It's Tolu Smith. Who? Tolu Smith. I don't know that is.
Starting point is 01:31:46 He played like 15 games for him last year. Gaping my knowledge. Sorry, Tolu. Tolu? Yeah. He's not Nigerian. Oh, okay. Chaloo.
Starting point is 01:31:54 But. Chazazazaz. For no reason. You represent the consonant? Fuck, no. But I think that, and this is one of the reasons why I am a little bit nervous about the, about the Pistons. I'm very curious to see how they navigate the Jalen Duren situation because their big depth is completely changed. And the first four guys, like their wing rotation of K. Duncan Robinson and Asar, you know, they just paid him.
Starting point is 01:32:21 That's fine. But you, you swapped out to buy his hairs for John Collins. Fine. it's a wash. The one area that you have that can, that you had somebody take a leap last year, that you are expecting them to take another leap is at your center position. And I think that without Bistu, without B. Stu, with Jail and Dern being in this weird headspace, that could really, really mess up this team. And it's a very fine line of where this team goes moving forward. I feel like at this point, there's so much clear animosity from Jalen Duren that's being
Starting point is 01:32:51 leaked on purpose that let's say today he takes $42 million a year. The last offer we we got reported, they offer him 40. Let's say today they agree on 42 and they appease him. Is he going to like them over again? Is it going to be a problem in a locker room? Like, it seems like there's real issues that like won't just go away. And I feel like that's an unavoidable catastrophe by the Pistons to alienate him. Even if you don't fuck with him and don't think he's a long-term answer, like you need him this year.
Starting point is 01:33:16 And if he hates his job and that permeates so at the locker room because he decides to be a bad vibe, feels like there's no good way there unless Jalen Dern is just extremely professional and gets over. it. Maybe he is. Who am I to say? Either way. Yeah. A whole assumption though.
Starting point is 01:33:31 Like once that first check hits and he's like, okay, like I'm going to know. Unless, unless that's the case, I think that they have some serious issues going into the season. Yeah. I don't think there's like any chance in hell where they win 60 games again for real. I think I view them as one of those middling teams because they still have very, very much like all the same issues coming to next year as they did last year. You know what I just looked up right now?
Starting point is 01:33:56 They had the weakest strength of schedule last season. They're going to have a Patriots-type fall off this season. Strength the schedule over an OD2 game sample size? Yes. That doesn't mean you're an Eastern Conference team? Yes. They are the NBA Patriots. Nice.
Starting point is 01:34:11 I'm pushing narratives. There you go. I guess to add a badgerick of the schedule, you just have to be in the worst division in the sport, I guess. Unless some Pacers, bucks, and bulls all sucked. Yeah, this is a nasty narrative I'm pushing. Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. One in 30 is like 0.008. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:26 Doesn't make sense at all, but I'll let you cook. They play all the teams. They play every team. Multiple times. Yeah. All right. On to the Western Conference, the last division, Northwest Division, who has the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Starting point is 01:34:40 I'm gonna let you know. I got four teams in this division. All right. Get to rattling them off. Go ahead. So I have the Thunder. You should know that they drafted a day Mara to replace Thomas Sorba, who they drafted in the first round of the year prior.
Starting point is 01:34:51 And this just means that they have beef. on the front lines and they have height to go up against Wembe. They saw the guy who took them down last year and they said, listen, Chet, he may not have anything for us. But we will have I-Hart. We will have Ademarro. We will have
Starting point is 01:35:07 sober and we will have bodies for Wembe and we will be ready this year. And that's the number one thing that you should know about the Oklahoma City Thunder. Everything else is like they are going to bank on continuity. They're going to keep everybody there. Ludo is gone.
Starting point is 01:35:21 But you still have a case of one. while. Jalen Williams is gone, but Chet, J-dub, shame, that's all there. Yeah, and like, if J-Dub just says
Starting point is 01:35:32 healthy, this could be an even better team than were last year. And let's not forget, they started the season off last year looking like they could challenge for 74 wins. Looking like they could challenge
Starting point is 01:35:40 for 74 wins. Didn't end up working out, injuries, took it down. It is, you know, they had a weird year. They basically lost because of injuries, also because Wembe just dominated them and they lost a matchable a year.
Starting point is 01:35:49 So not to diminish the spurs, but they didn't have a chance because of injuries. Yeah. If they just stay healthy, welcome back to being potentially the final's favorite. They kind of just, one thing you need to know, the air is not over yet. They're down for the round. It's not the war is not over yet, though.
Starting point is 01:36:01 Exactly. Yeah. Of course, I want to, I'm interested in seeing, like, what type of impact a day. We'll have day one, if we'll have any. I don't know. Maybe he's just not ready. Of course, like, all this is built on the back of how healthy J-Div is. But I'm really interested in seeing how good A.J.M.S.
Starting point is 01:36:18 is going to be last year because he average, like, what, I don't know, 16, 17, points last year or whatever. And he became like, I think so. Maybe I'm lying. Maybe I'm lying. I could be lying. I'll check. I didn't realize it was that high for the season.
Starting point is 01:36:29 Just like, I think I could be lying, bro. You might be. I figured his minutes fluctuates. Yeah, it was 13.6. Wow.
Starting point is 01:36:34 25 minutes. I was like 17. Jesus. Yeah. But he had a couple runs earlier in the year, and he averaged 15 for the playoff run. And if he was a starter, he would average about that.
Starting point is 01:36:44 You're right. Yeah, exactly. But there's like a stout, like, amount of growth that he had from his rookie year. And I wonder, like,
Starting point is 01:36:52 when it's going to happen, it feels like it probably should happen soon. But not baking it on it. It doesn't matter if it happens or not. Really, what's interesting too is like, yo, isn't case a loss like due for a contract and such as soon? And like, what's going to happen with that? Because there's only so much money to go around. And he's a important player. I think, like, their second best perimeter defender, maybe first. He, yeah. I mean, as long as his defense is obviously continues to be amazing. And I think he He probably wants to have a little bit more of the ball in his hands, but we have three guys,
Starting point is 01:37:23 and you also have had some opportunity because we were just in a playoff series, so we had no ball handling, and you know, didn't really step up. So we'll see what happens in the regular season now. Like, I got bad news for him. You can be the next for Shirk the Free Agent squeezed by his team. You're going to take this 18 million. You're going to like it. And he's, he's worth more than 18, well, I think. Maybe a little bit. Yeah, if he gives him a 21 offer sheet. But if his shots falling, definitely. Yeah. Yeah. But, but, yeah. So funny to say what role players are worth these days in the second apron era. I don't know. It's kind of hard to say.
Starting point is 01:37:52 If he makes 21, I'm not that surprised. I think he's probably worth, like, closer to 30. What Dyson get? Probably. Dyson, he got, like, 25 to 30 maybe. I don't know. No, not Tini get 30. I think he got like 25, 26. I think he's worth about 25 then. But as Tom, what's all the Dyson got? I saw I got like 30, though, right?
Starting point is 01:38:13 Yeah. The D.O.I. It's a little different. But to him, maybe it's not different. So I can understand. He definitely wants 30. You're right. Will he get it? I fucking doubt it.
Starting point is 01:38:22 Because casing can shoot too. So it's like... Yeah, he's also 6'1. Yeah. So, like, he's more of a niche role. I think if I was a Pistons, I'd rather pay a SOR, probably. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:38:34 I can see why he would say, give me a SOR money. I definitely understand if that's their perspective. Yeah. Yeah. Have you guys thought about who you're going to pick the one in the West yet? What's your gut feeling at this time before we really dive into it for real?
Starting point is 01:38:46 I think right now I'm still leaning in thunder. bounce back. Yeah, I think the Dunders sound right. I think it's for the first time in the long time it's been in flux, but I think that Thunder's gonna come back. I just think for the regular season, they're just built so well
Starting point is 01:38:59 to withstand the ups and downs of 82. Yeah. Okay. Who has the Utah Jazz? That's also me. Yo, Ace Bailey still on this team. I, like, going through, so much stuff happened with the Jazz
Starting point is 01:39:14 this off season, like Walker Castle left. You traded for Jerry. Jackson last year. Lively Marking is still here. You drafted Darren Peterson. And then all of a sudden, like, you're going through all these things. It's like, hey, you still have this guy that you took fifth overall that is 6-10 that had a, you know, solid, whatever rookie season.
Starting point is 01:39:32 And when you start plugging in guys who are playing, this team is very, very big. Like, they are, they are very tall. And I think that that makes them super interesting, especially with how Will Hardy utilizes height and just big players and players who are versatile in his scheme. So I think that having, having Ace Bailey is a nice, like, it's nice that he doesn't have to be the franchise anymore because you have Darren Peterson. And you have somebody who still has a lot of upside in this, in the system and in this, and on this team that is kind of like a third option.
Starting point is 01:40:10 And so moving forward, they have a lot of, they have a lot of talent and a lot of really good upside players. Wait, y'all breaking news again. Apparently, the Lonsa ball hasn't retired. He just tweeted out, I retired, dude, to me. I'm still winning for a call. And being season long, he was just talking about you had a good nine-year career in the league.
Starting point is 01:40:29 And people interpreted that as him saying I'm done? Yeah. He basically, like, dance around like, yeah, bro, like my phone dry. He's like, wait, no, but I'm still waiting for a call. It's still has service. All right, man. I'm glad we could let up today. I'm glad we ended this episode being clear.
Starting point is 01:40:42 The Lonsabal is not fucking retired. Wait, we're missing. division the southeast division yeah we're not done yet we're not even halfway down with the northwest division yeah okay okay okay I thought you said we're done I'm like oh no no no I just I just forgot about eight teams uh Portland trailblazers it's also me uh know that you guys are in a battle right now with your owner because he's trying to be cheap oh they know he's trying he's trying to try to move him out but adam silver is on your side Adam Silver said that it would be a failure if the Blazers left Portland.
Starting point is 01:41:20 But he did say that they did need a new stadium and that the arena needs several upgrades. But that is the battle and that you have to mobilize in the streets to make sure that Tom Dundon does not take your team away from you. And that is how serious this season is because he wants to do it. Tom Dundon said. He does not want to pay any money for anything. He does not want to give back to the team that he just bought. so you must riot and protest to keep the blazers in Portland. He said you need a couple upgrades that was over.
Starting point is 01:41:50 I get you into light bulbs. Maybe. Maybe. Put in a couple. What's his core business? Why is he rich? I don't know. What is his name again?
Starting point is 01:41:59 Tom Dundon. I actually don't know what his... Tom Dundon. He's an American businessman who in financial services, real estate and sports and entertainment. He's the managing partner of Dundon Capital Partners in Dallas. That's not an answer to my friend. question at all he used to be doing business yeah uh he'd be playing golf and making deals well and that's it okay so he's like an investment banker it seems he's an owner of an hl team
Starting point is 01:42:25 and he's a part of pickleball part of what pickleball oh i did i heard i had to make sure i heard you right yeah i did they hear that so he used to scam people off of high interest loans yeah cars honestly that it is sick he's an investor in top golf is well. Ah, okay. He got top golf? Just a business man, doing deals in a vague sense. He really do just be playing
Starting point is 01:42:51 off and making deals. He just does business. Okay. Nice. Just pure, pure bloody capitalist. Yeah. Yeah, so that's,
Starting point is 01:43:00 that's who we're at with the, with the blaze. That is super interesting space because they did make the playoffs last year. Then they had a lot of, you have a lot of players coming back in terms of like John, named this this year shady sharp is hurt um also and so that muddies up some things but when the entire existence of your franchise is at risk right now i think that that is very important
Starting point is 01:43:24 an existential crisis over your existence yes that's really all that matters is one thing to know uh i have the denver nuggets as another team this division um where i have right down uh oh one thing you need to know tomorrow rosen is on this team and i don't think that's allowed to be a small thing. I think the presence of DeMardo Rosen has to matter a lot because he can't just be a bystander of the offense. He can't just be out there being a guy.
Starting point is 01:43:51 If DeMara Rosen is on the court, you must have a plan for him. And for them to bring him in signals to me, they view him as an important part. And I think the logic, I haven't seen this broken down by people from their media teams or anything, so I don't know if this is obvious
Starting point is 01:44:04 to Nuggets fans. I would think the vision there is he's their new Russell Westbrook and this past year they missed what Russ brought in the two years prior. where they had that bench creator that has a good connection with Nicole Yokic
Starting point is 01:44:15 can get downhill, create an opportunity for others and make the offense not only reliant on him, have that good connection with a veteran playmaker that can get the ball entry pass into Yokic
Starting point is 01:44:24 while doing some bench unit stuff himself when Yokic sits. I think that's the vision for DeMar. This is going to be like ISOs whenever maybe that allows him to have Jermal Moore and Yokhush on the bench at the same time
Starting point is 01:44:37 DeMart Rosen will win the offense. Yeah, I think that's the, that's going to be the, one of the primary ways that they that they use them just because especially when when murray and yokeech are on the floor and it and it gets to be five minutes you know what they're running and even though that you're bringing in tomorrow i don't know if they're going to want to go away from that too too much and even though that he can provide something different i think that it definitely is something where like cam johnson is brought in christian brine is here
Starting point is 01:45:08 those guys are very fillet. They're not creators in that way. And maybe you can see if Cam Johnson has a little bit more of that creation juice that he had it in Brooklyn. But if he doesn't, then that's what DeMar is here for. And so I do think that I do think that they're going to sit those other two guys and let DeMarc cook a lot. Yeah. So either that works. And they have the new Russell Westbroke, the new veteran bench creator.
Starting point is 01:45:31 And cool. That's a new addition to this team that lets us get back into the mix of being a playoff team that can have as good a chance as anybody. of beating those top two teams in the West and the best player in the world can get us there, right? Or, this is the signal that this is a dying contender on his last legs of a window grasping for straws,
Starting point is 01:45:49 and predictably, DeMard Rosa makes no fucking sense next to other star players and it doesn't work at all, and the window is firmly shut. And Yokic is on the decline. He's had his worst two playoffrons of his career two years in a row.
Starting point is 01:46:00 They've gotten progressively worse for the last three years. It's over? Question mark? Probably. I think it probably is heading that way. man for sure lose Payton Watson you replace him in Damar you've steadily
Starting point is 01:46:13 lost pieces of this team year by year the title window's closed and we just pretend it's not because Yokic is still good Jada McDaniels said he can't guard me he can't guard he can't guard he can't guard you know what let me add Demard Rosen now what buddy and you know what's funny Jada McDaniels wasn't wrong about any of them yeah and he damn sure it wouldn't be wrong
Starting point is 01:46:33 if he said about DeMar so I think I might not be buying any stock in this team at all personally Yeah, when you go from a team that's like a perennial contender to, I just don't see the vision for it. With the bar. You're on the other side of the window, man. I don't know. And there's still going to be a good team, obviously. They have the recipe for playoff wins.
Starting point is 01:46:52 We saw it last year. They're not going to be irrelevant. We've seen the same story in the playoffs two years in a row in pretty much the same ways. Hard to believe they have what it takes to get over that hill now when the other two juggernauts are only getting better. Yeah. It's kind of over. That's sad, man. know what that feels like man it's pretty much over we'll see what the pivot is when they
Starting point is 01:47:12 crash and burn again shit really blows up next summer he's got Marvin badly now you good sick yeah sick Timberwolves uh that's also me we know um you got them all I do so one they also got a new owner but I mean the thing is listen they got a lamello ball on the bill and what does that entail what comes with that what do people they see lamello they see the headline of him and Anthony Edwards, what do they actually need to know about that pairing? No, they're just some goofy guys, man. And they just, they like to hoop. And Lamello brings something different to this team that they haven't had before.
Starting point is 01:47:51 And what we talked about the Sons, we said, Devin Booker's been playing out of position for the last five years, for the last four years. And you're forced to start Jaylon Green because of politics, but you're making Devin Booker be something that he's not. the wolves when they brought in randle and because that didn't really work out they were forcing him into a role that isn't that isn't optimal for for for ant you're asking him to be a playmaker you're asking him to not only be a playmaker but also go out and get 30 you're asking him to do absolutely everything on on the floor bringing in lomello gives them an opportunity to have another high volumes score and playmaker in the back court which they have not they've never had in the ant era. And so I think that this switch up from them gives them a different look and it gives them an opportunity to actually go after teams like OKC where they can just load up on ant drives
Starting point is 01:48:48 all the time. And now you have somebody else who can handle the offense and do things like that. When San Antonio is telling Stefan Castle sick them and just, right, you have somebody else who can handle the offense. It gives them a very, very different look than they've ever had. in the era. Yeah. I think that's the most important part, the last thing, a different life we've ever had.
Starting point is 01:49:10 That plus, we don't really know what that different look is for real. It's kind of a question that what is the identity of this team now? Is it still defensive identity the same way,
Starting point is 01:49:19 but just insert Lamello? Is this a fully offensive team now? And it's back to like 2021, Gobert, where you're surrounded by four offensive players, Gobert Save Us? That hasn't been the case
Starting point is 01:49:28 in the Minnesota era. Is that kind of closer to what we're going to do now? Is Gober capable of still to hold that together? He's only getting older. I really don't know. exactly what the
Starting point is 01:49:36 between prioritizing offense and defense the team can really slide either direction in their decisions. I have no idea which one they're going to go with. Yeah, I think naturally, of course, the offense is going to be bonkers. I can imagine a world where they might lose a step defensively. Maybe it's only because Rudy Goberra
Starting point is 01:49:53 is getting a little older. Comingas are starting four now and you're going to ask him to play like consistent reps, defensive reps on that end. Jamie McDaniel is there still, which saves you a lot between him and Rudy Gober. So I think they're going to be like still like a top, I don't know, 12 defensive team at worst. But I think that because of, because you add the mellow ball, you of course see a different
Starting point is 01:50:16 look with this team and you now have, I think Chris Frinch, some like him has an outwear. I don't think he's been like the best defensive or offensive coach in the league at all. And he like lacks creativity in a lot of ways. And something that we see in a lot of time going back to what you said is a team is somebody be like, yo, throw two in and let him, like, not have the ball on his hands. Now you literally can't do that. Why? Because Lamello will fuck your defense on a consistent basis by elevating everyone else.
Starting point is 01:50:44 He'll just cause fucking mayhem, bro. And he's like the, he's like the perfect player for that, you know? Can you imagine like going from damn two in a end, Jada McGahn do something for me? Please pull up two, please. Now you got Lamello? You don't know what the fuck is going on in that dude's mind. Who might pull up from fucking 40 or throw a lob to John Kaminga? Anything could happen.
Starting point is 01:51:04 Hold this Lamello. Stroke. Yeah, I think one thing you need to know about the duo is that theoretically we should get the best version of Anthony Edwards you've ever seen. He's never had a guard that allows him to be a true shooting guard like this. Theoretically, this should unlock Ant to the next level. And the combination of these stars should be, I think, the most complimentary star duo's aunt has had it yet.
Starting point is 01:51:27 And I think we should see the really, really best version of what he can be. This should be the first year, in my opinion, of prime Anthony Edwards, if things go well. I want to see him be like top three in MVP ballot. I don't know if he has the actually ability to win it. But if he is like on this trajectory and like he's done with the Qaeda, yeah, Yulamay, KD, Yolich, LeBron from the from the playoffs or whatever and disappointed a lot of teams. Like what's the next level? Can you actually go like ban for ban with someone like Shay?
Starting point is 01:51:57 Is that going to happen? Like we need to see another leap. And that's incredibly hard to do. We're asking you to be Luca, Yonis. You know, Shea. The top three every year is going to be Wembe, Shea and Yokish unless one gets hurt. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:09 Breaking into that club is tough. Yeah. If they can get to be like a top two seed in the West and breaking up, I mean, it's going to take that. You're going to have to have some of that stuff on your side. All right. Last division. Let's fly through it like we always do because they're always last.
Starting point is 01:52:26 Southeast Division. What is one thing people need to know about the Atlanta Hawks in 60s? I'm going to play some games on my phone. I'll play some games on my phone. Atlanta Hawks. What's some of them? thing people need to know. Delana Hawks finished the season as a top 10 defense last year.
Starting point is 01:52:42 At the second half of the season, though, they had a better defense than the Detroit Pistons, than the Spurs, and also than the Boston Celtics. They were number two right behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. And they did nothing but up that strength by adding guys like Lou Dwart. And now they're in a position. to where they're going to have one of the most cataclyclosing per perimeter defenses that the NBA has to offer between Dyson Daniels, Nikol, Alexander Walker, Lou Dwart,
Starting point is 01:53:13 and also Kingston Filming's too because he's not a slouch. Remember you guys seen those clips of LeBron breaking a whole lot of shots in whatever open runs. Kingsend Flames on him like for a lot of those. That's your slants. Not my saying, he's just known as a good defensive guard in general. He's not, he's not a slouch, you know. Canacious.
Starting point is 01:53:28 They got DFS today too? Say it again? They got DFS today too. Man, I hope he got about that means nothing. Yes, my Zachary Richerset replacement. Sick. I love it, man. Upgrade.
Starting point is 01:53:41 He hasn't been good for like three years, but me too. Just not sure he was washed. He was good the year before. Yeah. I think this team is primed to be one of the best defensive teams continuously for now two years in a row. And that's something we haven't had to say in a long time. That's a good thing to know. I don't think most people will realize that they should be a top five defense next year.
Starting point is 01:53:59 If things go well for them. Yeah. That's a good one. Washington Wizards. Sorry, I give you a little more than 60 seconds. I let you go over time. Go ahead. Washington Wizards.
Starting point is 01:54:09 There's nine good players on this team. When is the last time we can say that about the Washington Wizards? And in fact, there could be more than nine good players on this team. Nine is me being conservative with my selection of who gets to be considered good. With the starting lineup, Trey Young, Kishon George, AJ DeBanza, Anthony Davis, and Alex R. Off the bench, we have Will Riley, who I think is good. Trey Johnson, I think is good. Chris Middleton, who I think is still good, even though he's not going to do a whole lot,
Starting point is 01:54:34 but as your ninth man, Deandreighton. Wait, he's back there? Yep. Wow. And Deandreighton. That's nine players. What's Chris Middleton's problem? Why is he back there?
Starting point is 01:54:45 Just trade your ass? And Justin Champani, who I think is good. Okay. That's ten players. That's more getting into Volokulibali. If he has some shooting with him this year, it could be a good player. Trey Mann, Bubt Carrington, Tristan Vukovovic. Like, there's other swing guys.
Starting point is 01:55:00 there. Okay. At least nine good players. Eight, if you want to say DeAndre and you hate them. But as a 10th man, I think John Drake can be counted as a good player. For seven minutes a game, hell yeah. Yeah. Like, that sounds like a good team to me.
Starting point is 01:55:12 That sounds like a team with a lot of good players that if they want to could play zero minutes of bad players. Yeah. I think that means a lot in the Eastern Conference. And they're not talking about it as a team that's going to be great, obviously. Maybe people do think that with Anthony Davis and Trey Young. But I think there's no world anymore where they're going to be a terrible team. Even if those stars get hurt and disappoint and they're not going to be a, like, like good playoff team or anything.
Starting point is 01:55:32 I find it hard to believe they're incompetent this season. Yeah. Off the back to Anthony Davis and Alexar alone, that feels like that should be like top top like 15 defense at like minimum, honestly. Well, you got Tray Young and a rookie forward and AJ who's probably going to take some time. So I don't know if I can get that high, but they won't be terrible. Honestly, that front court or that backward or front court, yeah. It feels like it is like just back.
Starting point is 01:55:54 It saves so much. And Alxar is like so mobile too and 80's not as mobile these days or whatever. But you can move him a little bit. Maybe you can be good right away. And Keeshawn George is big. He's like 610, bro. He's huge. He's really good.
Starting point is 01:56:06 Maybe you're right. Now, that's barring AD's health, obviously. But in the games which he plays, maybe you're right. Maybe that is a 109 defensive rating at times. And offensively, I mean, like, this team has stuff going on. Trey Young orchestrating things. AD, I think he's, like, guaranteed 20 points per game pretty much at the stage of his career, probably. He's also fighting for a contract as well.
Starting point is 01:56:23 He paused contract negotiations with the wizard. So he paused them or they paused him? Probably mutual. I don't know. Retual. Yeah, one thing you know, the AD probably gets traded, for being honest,
Starting point is 01:56:34 but while he's not, while he's still on this team, what's the floor? 11 seed? I don't know, honestly. 12 seats? There's a big range. The floor?
Starting point is 01:56:42 The floor is probably like 12, 13. Yeah, I don't, even 13, like, I don't think they can be that bad. But now, unless, like, AD gets hurt and trade on, whatever,
Starting point is 01:56:50 like, assuming they're a regular version themselves, I don't really see them being horrible. I think they, they kind of might just be a playing team almost no matter what, barring massive injuries. Yeah, I can, easily you see them being like the eighth or ninth seed for sure.
Starting point is 01:57:04 Yeah. Maybe as high as like the seventh seed maybe, but that's really good and respectable. And that's like a good step in the right direction. Yeah, the ceiling too was also like just straight up being a good team. If trade and AD work out and AJ is ready to be a 20 point for game score right away, Alex R is a great defender. Like this could just straight out be a very good team. That starting five makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 01:57:23 It could straight up be great. Now am I taking that bet on Tray Young and AD? No. I'm not optimistic about the highest term ceiling of that. them being like a surprise five seed or whatever. But it's in the cards. And it's not ridiculous if you do feel optimistic about them. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:36 And boy, is that different than what? Are you actually playing games on your phone? Yeah, I'm running this game with Sudoku. His ass was not joking? Sudoku. I've been on Sudoku recently. Oh, my gosh. Or Land of Magic.
Starting point is 01:57:50 I got to get these ads off my phone, though. Because sometimes, like, you'll get rid of all the numbers, and then some little, like, graph will come up, And then these like the stupid, the stupid games that they come on whenever you also have games on your phone, those start popping up. And it just takes like 45 seconds to get it off. I haven't put a game on my phone in years.
Starting point is 01:58:10 I don't even know what you're talking about. Really? I haven't played my phone in a year. I just played like, I just played an eye game right. I'll show you later. And that's your land of magic. What?
Starting point is 01:58:22 That's a sign of old age, by the way. What? Sudoku. Playing mobile games. Oh, really? Really? Yeah. Think about it.
Starting point is 01:58:28 It's Sudoku. mobile game? You made it one. You made it one. You got me. Let me do my daily wordle. I'm old man. Okay, I do appreciate the New York Times Daily games.
Starting point is 01:58:42 That is the one thing I've done in the past. Trying to keep my mind sharp. News flash, we're all aging. The New York Times MIDI, I can fuck that up. A little crossword action. Try and keep my mind right, you know. You got to stimulate the brain. As you get older, right.
Starting point is 01:58:54 Yeah, that's why I'm doing it. You're just going to age ungracely. You just don't want to read. You want to let your brain turn to mind. Bush. Hey man, I'll get it to my mobile gaming back here soon. Not saying I'm not going to join you. I'm just saying y'all are like ahead of the curve. He's like nine months older than him. He's saying, I haven't gotten there yet. Who is the Atlanta Magic?
Starting point is 01:59:14 Yeah, I did. But honestly, that sums up the Rang of Magic talk, bro, because interesting facts. Yeah, not really interesting. It's expected for it because of the bind that they're in. They have the third highest continuity score in the NBA right behind the, New York Knicks. They're up there with the Pelicans, of course. We just talked about him. Who makes the continuity score?
Starting point is 01:59:35 Some dude named John, I'm not going to try to butcher his last name, but he made it on NBA.com. Yeah, he's an NBA.com journalist. So he made it. And obviously it's based off of the amount of minutes rotational players played last year. And how many of those guys are coming back for the very next year? And they obviously made no moves.
Starting point is 01:59:56 Their move was getting a new head coach. and I have optimism I think he's going to be good but yeah bro that's that's their move we can be clickbaited with this team what you need to know one thing is this is the last chance for Franz Wagner and Palo and Carrow as a duo
Starting point is 02:00:09 I think we said this last year but now this is super the last chance the reason they got one more chance is because when the starting five is healthy their net rating is fantastic that group gelled together problem is never healthy jail and sucks is always hurt those two big fours have gotten hurt the last like and rarely been together this is truly
Starting point is 02:00:25 the last chance I think this duo better be a great star duo, or I can almost promise you next summer they're going to break them up in some form. Yep. Hard decisions will be made. Yep. And because of continuity, now is your last chance. And everyone, I'm sure a lot of magic fans all know that.
Starting point is 02:00:39 Miami heat's... Whoa. Oh, my God. I didn't realize who's sitting down. I was like, what is this Photoshop? Who did this to Palo? Yeah, this is definitely the last answer to those two. Miami Heat, what do you need to know that I think everyone is overlooking because for some reason
Starting point is 02:00:53 nobody likes the heat and they act like they're irrelevant after adding Janus? which I think is quite dramatic by the NBA fandom at large, this will be one of the best defenses in the NBA, like no matter what. And I think it'll be such a good defense that that alone makes them good enough to be a very serious team. However you feel about the Janus Bam pairing as an offensive duo, about the lack of on-ball creation from like a traditional,
Starting point is 02:01:16 like, guard type of creator that don't have the Chris Middleton or whatever, that's all true. It's a flaw of the roster that they're going to have to build a good offense without. The defense is going to be legitimately top five. having Bam and Janus together, we keep saying like, oh yeah, it's a good defensive duo.
Starting point is 02:01:31 It's a fucking ridiculous defensive duo actually. Janus not being the best defender on his team as a big man is crazy. Janus playing with a better big man defender than him has never happened
Starting point is 02:01:42 or even close. Brooke had some great years. He has some great years defensively because he was playing next to Janus and that role made a lot of sense for what they were doing with Bud. Bam is straight up a better defender than Janus in every way right now.
Starting point is 02:01:54 Yeah. That is amazing to have Janus as your secondary defensive player. and they're both versatile, can both move, can both defend traditional pick and rolls. Yeah, I don't know the fact that Wiggins is still very good defensively. He's a motivated Wiggins. And oh, just a cute little amazing on-ball defender
Starting point is 02:02:07 and Davy on-Mitcher at the point of attack. It's crazy. This is a truly bonkers starting five defensively. I don't even care about Clay. If he starts cool, he can be the fifth best defender. He's still tall. He can be whatever. You can insert Larson there, Yovitch there.
Starting point is 02:02:19 Anybody you want as a fifth starter, this defense will be fucking filthy. And look at the bench, they don't really feel terrible defenders either. I mean, I guess Tim Hardaway Jr. is a very nothing Berger defensive player. He's a shoes or whatever.
Starting point is 02:02:31 He's a shoe or whatever. It's what it is. And I guess Bobby Portis might be a negative at times. But they're surrounded by a lot of solid defenders on that bench too. Also, you're also forgetting the
Starting point is 02:02:40 dispostal bump. Like this, like everybody on this team and everybody on the bench is going to play a little bit better than what you expect them to and you're going to get something unexpected from everybody.
Starting point is 02:02:50 So I do think, like, as the off season has gone on, I've been more inclined to believe in Miami as they, as they started to put the pieces together. Yeah. They need one more creator still. That is still true.
Starting point is 02:03:01 They need their normal pal, their top of hero, the guys I get rid of. They need somebody like that that can create a shot off the dribble for themselves and others from the guard position. I think Dave Yon can do a little bit of that
Starting point is 02:03:11 and Yonis is obviously can do a bulk of it. But especially off the bench, they need a six man that can dribble. Yeah, exactly. But outside of that, I think they've pretty much answered a lot of questions between obviously
Starting point is 02:03:21 defense and defense and playmaking. Yonis and Bam, they could handle a good amount of that And obviously you can supplement that with Dave Yomich, too, because he's not a complete, like, a lack of a passer. The shooting is completely addressed with Clay Thompson and also Tim Hardaway, Jr., who was damn, he damn a very 16-man of the year last year,
Starting point is 02:03:40 saw 40% from 3. They're a good, all-around team to me, outside of having someone who can sit down and break down a defense when the shot clock is sticking down, bro. Yeah. And Yon Xen do a little bit of that. And you had the best coach in the league to figure it out. I think they would be fine.
Starting point is 02:03:56 Will they win the title? Probably not because of that. Unless they make a big deadline move to get that guy, then I can definitely tell myself that they can win the title. Right now, I won't go that far, but I also don't think they'll be worse than the four or five seed. Yeah, I can't say that. Last team, who has the Charlotte Hornets? Ooh, I do.
Starting point is 02:04:12 The number one thing that you should know, and this one that I actually didn't know at all, is that Brandon Miller hasn't been cleared for encore activities yet at all. I also did not know that. What is he dealing with? He had shoulder surgery. Remember he was playing with that big ass around? I thought you were to say throat surgery.
Starting point is 02:04:29 You said throat. You like miss vocal. Yeah. And I thought you were to say throat. No. Troat surgery is nuts. You enjoy that. You're relaxed.
Starting point is 02:04:39 I got the best giggle out of you all day. I don't think I've seen a smile from your face quite like that. You didn't ask her. Did you like it? You don't stop, man. Would you say that you are kinky? I was smiling all day back here.
Starting point is 02:04:56 all y'all know. Okay. It's a jolly day. Now he's been smiling. But yeah. Fine. Ain't that's funny till now. It's okay.
Starting point is 02:05:08 So he's dealing with a shoulder surgery. He repaired that shoulder. He had to wrap on all last year. Yes. But he hasn't been cleared for any basketball activities at all. And there's been no news given since that. And that dropped like August 26th, bro. So season starts not that far away from now.
Starting point is 02:05:24 It's a little bit over a month from now. and to have Brandon Miller and also Conkin, it will be viewed as the face of your team and have the second, arguably, like, most important guy in Brandon Miller, like take a lot of that load when it comes to creating or whatever. Overly concerning,
Starting point is 02:05:41 considering that he has no reps and no time at all to really growing the aspects of his game. So that's very concerning. And with that being said, that is one thing you need to know about every single NBA team to start this season preview portion of the season.
Starting point is 02:05:57 Now with that being said, we're on the producer corner. Be Souls, what are we yapping about today? Let's do a trust exercise. Okay. Donovan, I'm giving you $10 million.
Starting point is 02:06:10 Okay. You can decide how much of it you want to keep or how much of it you want to pass down to Mo. Don't tell anyone. Once you've decided, text Moe how much he has left. We know what it's going to be, bro.
Starting point is 02:06:24 He's really good Scrap So it'd be some bullet shit, right? I don't know why, man Then we'll go from Mo to Isaac Here's 10K in a dream So
Starting point is 02:06:34 So I have my number I just text Moe right now Are you text Moe How much he has to work with How much you're giving him? Okay Yeah Ooh
Starting point is 02:06:43 I have sent my I've sent the text And am I getting Whatever Mo has left over? Yeah And then I'll get whatever Damn And then we'll reveal
Starting point is 02:06:52 How much You know Everyone gave up and then pot about it. Someone's going to be performative. Oh, man, okay. He started with, what, 10 billion? 10 million.
Starting point is 02:07:03 10 million, okay. Nice reasonable number. 10 million. You got your texting. All right, so that's what you gave me? What am I going to give Beasles? This is, this is, okay. Well, what do I want to give me?
Starting point is 02:07:24 Shit. I'll give you I'll give you I'll I'm going to send you a second number I'll give you this nice and clean I know exactly how much you send okay
Starting point is 02:07:39 all right let's do the reveal Donovan how much did you take home? I took home 5 million damn you took half level for nobody what a hoe
Starting point is 02:07:50 all right mo all right so out of 5 mil how much did you take I took 2.5 mil home. Broke down half. Everyone's taking half. I took more than half.
Starting point is 02:08:01 Now, I won't say. What's it really? Yeah, but it's small numbers. So you gave me 2.5 mil. I gave B. Sol's 1 mil. Oh, okay. You know, flat 1 mil, so I'd get 1.5. So technically, I get the biggest percentage, actually.
Starting point is 02:08:13 Mind you, he sent 750K out first. Gave me a bonus. I was going to give you a flat number. I gave him one mil, so I kept 1.5. man so donovan what's the reason for taking half what do you mean what do you mean you told me that I had 10 minute I was going to give it to
Starting point is 02:08:36 to mo that I was so in my mind I was like oh I'm splitting this with both so I split a half to his defense yes and I thought I was going to split what I had with only him as well but then you're like oh then you're going to text he's going to text you and I was like oh shit I kind of sort of a little bit these guys got no pattern record
Starting point is 02:08:53 Didn't see the place. Now, if I would have known, yeah, your code would have been a little bit bigger. Yeah, I definitely just wanted to know how much Donovan was splitting with Mo. What did you think? What did you think? How much did you think you were going to get back? I'm going to be honest, zero. Really?
Starting point is 02:09:14 I thought one of y'all was going to be like, you know, whatever gets to me. I'm taking it off. Nah. Really? Nah. So we all sequentially got less, less, less. I guess is how it's gonna go. Donovan got five mil.
Starting point is 02:09:26 Hope we feel good about that, buddy. So you're gonna read this. You're gonna invest it with? Now that you know. Do we want to do it again? I can do it again, no and now. Okay, okay. Good answer, good answer.
Starting point is 02:09:39 Too late. So if we were to redo it, you wouldn't take half? No, I wouldn't take out. You take, what would you take? Let's do it again. Okay, let's do one more round, I guess. Alright. Because I'm genuinely curious about which side he's going to go on this.
Starting point is 02:10:04 Watch him say all 10 now. You want to press him. It was just weird. Like, yeah, I know the structure now. I'll give B. Souls this. Okay. Sick.
Starting point is 02:10:26 Donovan. What did you keep, Donovan? I took 10 million. Nice, man. I got no money. I guess what I got. I got a Texas set zero. No money.
Starting point is 02:10:45 No. That you lost is a point. I, man. It's a little missus. It's a little bit of this. I'm just taking notes for the future. Okay. In what future?
Starting point is 02:11:03 Everything is something. You're impressing me about it. So I was like, yeah, I'm going to take it. I'm going to take it to me. Everything is something. Yeah. Okay. You can learn something about somebody and everything. When push comes to show, he doubles down.
Starting point is 02:11:20 The fact that we asked him to share with more people and he took more. Greedy When someone tells you If someone tells you who they are Listen Yeah, bro Yeah, bro Straight face, yeah, bro
Starting point is 02:11:34 I can you shit All right Well, that's all I got I wanted to know Who's the greedy is I got my answer How you got it We're on the TikTok time
Starting point is 02:11:45 The first TikTok time Of the 2027 season Let's go Welcome to TikTok time Today per usual We are going to begin With a draft today we're going to draft together as a team
Starting point is 02:11:57 come together, push our collective minds into one and see if we can conquer the challenge at hand. Brickness tends to happen when we do that. Or absolute atrocities. Who's to say which one? I'm feeling magic today. Okay. Well, today the goal is to build an NBA point guard
Starting point is 02:12:13 better than 2026 Shade Gildes-Alexander. The spinner represents with a team and a specific year we can only draft skills from point guards on that specific year's roster. Okay. this never goes well for us it's quite tough over the course of all of NBA history
Starting point is 02:12:30 all of NBA history I'd be so let's hit that spinner who's our first team first team 2018 new york nix okay 2018 nix who are the point guards absolute stinker at first can't remember that specific team
Starting point is 02:12:44 I'm bullying it up Trey burke is here this is 17 18 season right yep not 19 yeah so we have Trey Burke his oral was OD back then he was pulling off AI shit. We had Jared Jack and Emmanuel Moodye and Frank Nudelkina
Starting point is 02:12:57 and Ramon Sessions. We might have to go Frank's defense. Franks defense is probably the pick there. Okay. Okay. Not terrible. We can build the super star with Frank's defense. Okay. That's good. That's good. That's good. That's all he was good at back. You don't want to spell his last name? No. I don't blame you. Next up. Team number two. I cannot spell his last name either. Team number two we got
Starting point is 02:13:19 2017. 2017 Clippers. Oh, Chris Paul just left. Chris Paul's not there. Blake might still be there Yeah but we're dealing with point guards Does wait if it's 1617 Chris Paul should still be there Oh you're right
Starting point is 02:13:32 You're right you're right you're right okay Chris Paul is there Hell yeah The question is what do you want from Chris Paul He has so many good skills IQ not passing I think How many passes do you possibly get better than CP
Starting point is 02:13:45 You're right but off the charts Yeah like DeAndre Russell's a very good pass here I don't want his IQ Okay so you want IQ I would say IQ He probably has the best IQ of all time. That's actually fair. Take it.
Starting point is 02:13:57 Keep him on. We do have Ores category. We cannot forget about that one. He gets stuck with the loser. Mad important. All right. Team number three. 2015. Drew Holiday.
Starting point is 02:14:12 Fuck. We already use defense. Is Rondo here or no? I would say body, though. A six four, six four guards super strong. We had Norris Cole, Jimmer for Debt, Drew Holiday, Russ Smith, and Nate. Walters.
Starting point is 02:14:27 Yeah, but I got to go Drew Holiday. That's the best player here. Drew Body. Probably the best. He's not jumping out. He's tall. He's bigger. You're right.
Starting point is 02:14:33 I think we probably want to go for a tall role player. Like that's like just six, seven randomly. You get some height. But where are we going though? Yeah, with Drew, we can't go anything. Drew clutch in 2015?
Starting point is 02:14:44 Drew didn't have no aura in 2015. Jimmer for that shooting? Ah. What he's shooting in 2015 season? Did it translate in that year? Let me check. Let me check. I mean, he was coming back.
Starting point is 02:14:53 Like, that's after his first and so I'm, I'm assuming he might have been shooting that ball. I'm assuming he's keeping a job. In 2015, he shot 38. Bro, he shot 18% of 3. Yeah, I know what shit. He shot at 18.8% from 3 in 50 games. 50 games?
Starting point is 02:15:12 18% from 3. I guess we got to take Drew Ballad Body. I guess we got to go stout. Yeah. That's not great. Damn. No, but this is fine because Drew Body with Frank defense and CP3 IQ. That can go a long way.
Starting point is 02:15:25 Okay. I'd rather been tall, but we'll take it. All right. 18% is outrageous. How do you do that? That's all you do, man. 23 Milwaukee bucks. Is that the year they got Dame? Yep, dame's here. Dame shooting. Dame shooting. Game shooting. Easy.
Starting point is 02:15:38 There we go. And just like that, we're back. We're back. We're back. We're all on shades ass right now. Wait, is it? Is it the year that got dame? Let me check. Maybe it was 24. It was 24 because that was Drew's first year as a Celtic.
Starting point is 02:15:50 That's when the- Hey, man. Stop being in the cop. Yeah, I think you're right. I don't think the wrong name. You're right. He's right. He's right. We get you holiday again. No. Double Drew.
Starting point is 02:16:01 Fuck. No way. We can go Gron Drogic, George Hill. What a fall off? We thought we had dame, our stupid ass. Oh, we got Lyndall Wigington. Oara. It's kind of Orel.
Starting point is 02:16:16 That's a cool last name. Do we go, I mean, we probably can't go double Drew. It's probably cheating, right? Yeah, I think it is. John Drogic. Yeah. Is he got aura? They call him the dragon.
Starting point is 02:16:29 I don't know. The dragon is fire. That's a decent aura. So at this point of his career, he's kind of washed. But if you do have a nickname like the dragon that does boost you up, I think we can say, offer the nickname alone. Because if you're that good of a player and you do have a cool nickname, then we're kind of getting there. Because Shay doesn't have a nickname.
Starting point is 02:16:50 True. True. You got initials. True. What I count then. Not what I'm saying. Bad nickname. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:56 Okay. So. Yeah, got a cool name. Yeah, got a cool name. All right, we got to do what we got to do. It's hard to spoil the party, y'all. I'm glad you said that they would have got on our ass. Matine Cleves, J.R. Bremer.
Starting point is 02:17:26 What was Matine Cleaves on in 2004? He played four games this season. Yeah. Who played the most games out of that group? Yikes. Oh, man. It was Kevin Allie. Kevin All he played in all 82. Yep, all 82 games. Hey, Kevin Olive shot 0.13 is a game.
Starting point is 02:17:42 44% this year. So, 37% of the field. Yikes. He never averaged a 3.10 for his career. Is he a passer? Who had the most assists? Kevin Ali had 2.9 assists this game. Jeff McNus.
Starting point is 02:17:55 Jeff McKinness. That'll have to do it. I guess we're going to have to get a point. Jeff McKinness averaged 7.5 assists after being traded to Cleveland in 04. She average is six. Oh, there we go. McKinness got him. We're taking his passing.
Starting point is 02:18:11 MCI N-N-I-S. You got to be done. MCI and N-I-S. Hey, man, we need some stars. Jeff McKinnis. I will not lie to you. I don't know who the fuck that is. But he's our passing.
Starting point is 02:18:21 We'll take it. Better than Shea. Better than Shea. Please. 2019 Timberwolves basketball. I think they said, does that D-Lo?
Starting point is 02:18:35 Let me check. Is that D-Lo? That's Brooklyn. Brooklyn D-Low was 2019. Oh, yeah, you read those. They have Tice Jones, Isaiah Cannon,
Starting point is 02:18:44 Jared Torell, Jeff Teague. Hey, man. Derek Rose and Jared Bayliss. Derek Rose. He had a 50-point game this year, right? Yeah, he wasn't jumping for shit, though. He was washed as hell. We got to take...
Starting point is 02:18:55 I think I want Jeff T. Clutch. We could have had Derek Rose O'Rah, man. That would have been O. I think I like that. Oh, we could have Jeff Tegora. Wow. Jeff T. Clutch? I mean, Jeff Tee could finish at the rim.
Starting point is 02:19:05 In 2019, he wasn't Omega-washed. Maybe we had to go Teg finishing. Omega-Wall. That's not good, man. Oh, you were not going to get a good finish. Yeah, this is not good, man. Just say clutch. Jeff T.
Starting point is 02:19:18 Clutch? He didn't give a shit enough to be clutch. but if you put CP3's IQ in there Let's go He might care Let's go Derek Rose He was as smart
Starting point is 02:19:27 As CP3 his whole life Would be different Yeah Bro Derek Rose average 18 a game this year What do you want Derek Rose clutch Yeah
Starting point is 02:19:34 He's not shooting though Does Jeff T doing it Maybe I feel like I'm fair Better with Derek Rose finishing Low key
Starting point is 02:19:41 Low key We need somebody We could dunk To the eye Of the public opinion I know What fair
Starting point is 02:19:49 They want Oh the difference There it grows on the greatest finishing guards of all time Put him out finishing This is so nasty Man The cradle lamps Exactly
Starting point is 02:20:01 The jump stops There you go He's hopping around Golden State Warriors 2025 Oh my God We're blessed we didn't use shooting We're so bad
Starting point is 02:20:13 Thank God we didn't get dame We're so bad Curry Just single-handedly made us beat Che Yeah we're the greatest of all time If we get a good clutch This single-handedly might have made his B. Shea as long as you don't get a stinker. As long as you don't get a choker for Clutch.
Starting point is 02:20:25 Who would we want in this position? And I feel like for Clutch we might have to pick the best player because we can just pick a role player. Yeah. Like, we might have to pick the star, to be honest. Spin that wheel. Don't give you Hardin. Don't give you Hardin. Where do we end up?
Starting point is 02:20:38 2020, Miami Heats. Hey, Gabe Vincent was clutch. They didn't make the finals this year. You're right. He was clutch. We already used Drogate. We already used Drogent. This is a better version of Drogate.
Starting point is 02:20:49 We use the old version. 2020. They have Gabe Vincent, Kendrick Nunn, Darrell McCone, and Gronzragic. Gabe Vincent. What do you got for me?
Starting point is 02:21:00 Gabe Vincent Clutch? Gabe in 2020? Oh my God. We got Gabe, we got Big Gabe as clutch. Yo, that's not an honest. Big Gabe just sold us. Let me know.
Starting point is 02:21:14 Let me know. What's the move? You shot 21% from the field this year. year in the regular season. Oh my God. What are you in the playoffs? In the playoffs. Oh, actually, he didn't
Starting point is 02:21:25 play in the playoffs. 23 is when he was relevant. I didn't know he was on the 2020. We can't go, we can't go, we can't go game. We can't go, we can't go. We can't go. We can't go. Yeah, it got to be Kendrick Nunn, I think.
Starting point is 02:21:36 Hitler versus Stalin. Give me Kendrick Nunn. But he had a good, he was number two and Ricky of the year, you know? Yeah. Ricky, you're on her up. Okay. Give me to Kendrick Nunn.
Starting point is 02:21:47 Both ended up on the Lakers. So we got Drew Holliday's body with Curry shooting McInness passing Frankly Don Quina defense Which isn't even special No no that's a masterpiece man Derrick Rose finishing Kendrick Nung, this player sucks ass
Starting point is 02:22:04 CB3 IQ and Drogic ORA This is the worst point of whatever It's not the worst point guy ever You ever got Curry shooting Yeah you have curry shooting in a big body With high IQ It's not even that big Dude strong though
Starting point is 02:22:17 He is it's a good body It's not like it's insane So who is this in real life? They're like a stronger curry? This is Drew Holiday that can shoot better. This is the Drew Holiday that can shoot like Curry? One of the grace of all time for sure.
Starting point is 02:22:29 Okay. That's better than Shea. I don't know if it is. I don't know if it is. Nah, I think so. Maybe. Curry shooting helps a lot. That really, really saved us.
Starting point is 02:22:39 If we had dame shooting, no chance of better than Shea. Nah, nah. We had a lot of shitty categories, bro. No, I know, but we could have did something. Keep up, we don't have Drew's defense. We have Frank, you know, he didn't mean no idea, you know. He's just, he's just solid.
Starting point is 02:22:56 He's all right. I'm disrespectful. No, I won't. Stop disrespect. How about I don't? How about that? Next thing we're going to do today. We are going to play NBA Shark Tank.
Starting point is 02:23:12 Be Souls put together prompts in which we have to write down our responses, our vision, for how to best invent something to answer that prompt, we will take turns revealing it. Be Souls will allocate points to each of us based on how much he likes our answers. The Aki Way. The Acky Way.
Starting point is 02:23:27 He'll be judging your inventions, the Aki Way. Okay. Yes. Okay. First prompt. Are you all ready? Let's do it. Build the greatest NBA duo that never existed.
Starting point is 02:23:38 So no Kobe Shack. But you say never existed? Is this implying like it could have existed or just pure fiction? Pure fiction. Okay. Good writing. What could the best?
Starting point is 02:23:47 do of all time be okay very focus very focused gentleman um i have my answer and we're all answering for each one right yeah do you have a time limit for this um okay okay 40 seconds okay be reasonable okay okay don't waste my time okay i got my answer i think we want to go first absolutely uh let's do isa since you're ready here i let him let him cook in this in the meantime i have Jordan and Alex Caruso. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 02:24:27 You might ask why I picked Alex Caruso and not LeBron James. No, I know why. Stefan Curry. You know damn well why. That bald head of his makes them the most iconic duo to ever exist. Can you imagine the marketing that Nike could do when they already had Black Jesus? And now you pair him with Elmer Fudd and we have them on billboards being bald with headbands together. The marketing is outrageous.
Starting point is 02:24:47 The defense, greatest defensive guard duo of all time, bar none. Michael Jordan, if you're too good around him, He'll start to get jealous. He might punch you. It'll be a problem. He'll never feel any tough of insecurity with Owls Caruso by his side. The power dynamic will be set. Alex Caruso will be happy being junior and we'll ask for more money in the last dance season like Scotty Pippen did.
Starting point is 02:25:06 Damn, man. That's compelling, bro. That's tough. Don't say that. You're going to go to lie. I ain't go lie, man. It's a goddamn good duo. All right, Mo.
Starting point is 02:25:17 You're next. Me next. I don't know if I'm proud of this. or LeBron and Curry You know Simple because The inside, outside, dynamic You could have went Curry, shack or whatever
Starting point is 02:25:30 But something like LeBron and Curry, what that brings different Is the passing between the two We've seen what Katie and Curry looks like before But can you imagine someone who is 6, 8, 6, 69 or whatever And it commands all the attention
Starting point is 02:25:44 Does some of the stuff that Draymond does While also being a fucking brutalizing threat From all three levels of the court having a space for like Curry would literally make them unbeatable. Like we already saw what happened between Katie and Curry. Just the type of consistency
Starting point is 02:25:59 offensively and how he can still cover up all the same holes for Curry just like KD and Dremont did. We're going to do it all time. Better than Shaq and Curry too. Only one point. He wasn't moved. I'll give you another one.
Starting point is 02:26:13 It's fair. I like the encore. I like the encore explanation. Okay. I wrote Kobe and LeBron. You illustrated us a little picture. I did, yeah.
Starting point is 02:26:26 Explain the picture. Oh, no, it's just a general background for today's game. It's good advice. Bonus points for artistic vision. Okay. Thank you. No explanation, just vision.
Starting point is 02:26:36 Yep. Yeah, it was actually the first thing that I did. Now, many people might say LeBron and Jordan would be the greatest duo of all time because they are arguably, they are the two best players of all time. However, LeBron and Kobe would get along better than LeBron and Jordan.
Starting point is 02:26:57 Yes. Also, Kobe could shoot threes better than Jordan. We've seen clips of them in the Olympics playing well together. We've seen them warming up together. LeBron, even though that Kobe's very stoic, LeBron is a very funny guy and he can make Kobe laugh. They would be friends. And given LeBron's current endeavors, I don't know if that would be a conflict of interest with Michael Jordan's passions as well. So I think that those two things would be weird.
Starting point is 02:27:24 I also think that we saw these two be a great duo in commercials with the envy puppets back in the late 2000s. So you have the commercials, you have the Star Power, you have the encore fit of both of these guys. I think in every way possible, they would be the best duo. Very compelling arguments. I will say I did not like the lack of enthusiasm in Mo's explanation. you have LeBron and Curry
Starting point is 02:27:50 Ride for your guys He was not a lot I'm saying Bro I saw Caruso and I was like fuck bro how can I win this shit man I will have to give Donovan the round here Just because Kobe Brown is crazy
Starting point is 02:28:04 dude I don't know right He answered the problem more correctly He's not worried about the arguments You're worried about the answer I did like the comedic value You're not investing in somebody who has a vision That's a shitty investor right there Come on man
Starting point is 02:28:15 You're investing in a product that sounds good But the vision isn't there No, but the explanation was good. What do you mean? The vision is there. I know what I'm kidding. You say you're giving out bad money, man. He is.
Starting point is 02:28:24 Not a good investor. All right. Next prompt. If you could cast five NBA players for Love Island, who would they have to call? He was ready. Let's go. Let's go. Thank you the starting lineup.
Starting point is 02:28:35 Damn. Okay. Five NBA players for Love Island. Okay. Current day or all time? All the time. Oh, I was in current day. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 02:28:45 Who is your Corbyn? Who is your? Oh, this is tough. Who is your Nick? Is there even a Nick? I don't know. We'll find out. Okay. Wow. This is such a hard question. Not for me. I got my names. I felt great about it. They shit flew off this. Roll off the tongue.
Starting point is 02:29:13 There's a cinema. All right. Let's go. Hold on, man. I need one more guy. I'm trying to like Cassie's rolls perfectly. You want me to go with you, right? No, no, no.
Starting point is 02:29:23 I don't want to. You want to focus? Yeah, I want to focus real quick. Okay. Focus on these gentlemen. Hmm. Look at them. Wow.
Starting point is 02:29:30 Tell us to do. Hey, I actually don't know. You say you don't know what? She's going to be the next starting five. No. Okay. All right. We can go.
Starting point is 02:29:45 Isaac first again since he was ready first. I have Zion Williamson Al Horford, Dennis Rodman, Anthony Edwards, and Shaquille O'Neal. Oh, I thought that says Shay. No, Shaquille O'Neal, Shack. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 02:29:58 I have three of the nastiest individuals to ever live. In Zion, Rodman, and Shack, this will be too hot to handle me's Love Island. They will be, freak the fuck out. Then have Anthony Edwards, who is the comedic relief, while also being the personality to bring the season together. Everybody's in room for
Starting point is 02:30:13 him, he'll be the fan favorite. He'll probably win. And then I got big Al Horford there. Every villa needs a group leader to be the guy that everybody speaks to and ask for advice. They won't win. They won't have a couple. They'll be there to be a fucking cheerleader for their friends. It'll probably be a girl in this context. But there will be one person that's there to be purely for advice.
Starting point is 02:30:32 And that's Al Horford. He brings a group together and makes it not too overly freaked out. You have the nice balance of dynamics. But the freaked out motherfuckers are the stars of the show. And I got three of them. Really four. And I don't know why he's ducking his allegations. He's also freaked out.
Starting point is 02:30:44 I really got four. For a lot of reasons, right. Okay, this is, that's spicy, man. That's spicy, man.
Starting point is 02:30:48 That's spicy. I don't really know if there's balance with your cast. I like it. Horford and aunt there bring balance. Ant is freaked out, but he's like, come on, man,
Starting point is 02:30:54 you know, you can't be doing that. And he'll like, make it funny. Horford is the complete balance for all of them because he'll be so, Zion,
Starting point is 02:31:01 you need to be serious about her. Don't make a walk in. Oh, man. Okay, Mo. Of course. Zon is headlined as well.
Starting point is 02:31:13 It's like we all got a, Bro. Right behind him. Okay, I got Janus. Then there's someone like Khan. Tyrese Halliburton and T. Jim McConnell. Let's win the Harley pick.
Starting point is 02:31:22 I need any days from his year. Hallie's just the most likable guy ever, bro. And he'll like bring guys together. Similar talking points when he comes to what you expect from someone who's a leader and is the most likable guy. I can crack jokes. And he just like can talk to pretty much any room. He's like the perfect guy to sit down and bring the villa really together whenever they're
Starting point is 02:31:41 going through fucking hard times, bro. You always need someone you can cry on. and also someone who you can tell to chill you need someone who can turn things up a little bit someone who might be sleek slick like he could wind a bill if you really wanted to sneaky pick but also of course the real stars and the real guys
Starting point is 02:31:57 who are gonna receive a lot of attention is the deceptiveness of someone like Janice Tendikumpo who he's very straightforward or at least he thinks he's straightforward and that's the lying part about him and then of course there's Zion who just I know what you are I know exactly what you are
Starting point is 02:32:12 Oh, and TJ McConnell's there too because you just need some guy. T.J. and Khan, they need each other. No, and I don't do that what you are. What am I? You're a panderer. You're appealing to the white vote of the audience at home.
Starting point is 02:32:21 He's trying to hit all the boxes. Smart. Smart gameplay. No, no, no, man. The white vote is powerful in Love Island. T.J. is mad, likable. He works really hard. You pick two of them.
Starting point is 02:32:30 Dude, you know? And Khan is, he's just, he's just there. Exactly. The white vote. You know? He's here to win. I just got to keep the strategy. He's smart.
Starting point is 02:32:40 I'm sorry Tyler Merritt is to start this show though I also included the white vote of mine I have aunt Lamello J.J. Reddick Charles Barkley and Blake Griffin So Ant we've explained across here I think that ant would be a fantastic personality there Lamello is the California Bimbo
Starting point is 02:32:59 He is he is the he's the one who's gonna show up And on the first two episodes Everyone's gonna be like man this guy is too too goofy However you see Lamello every single day for for six weeks on TV, you're like, wow, he's actually, it's actually grown a little bit. I actually really like LeMello. So he's on there. JJ Reddick, you have a white boy tatted up in, when he was at Duke, one of the most popular
Starting point is 02:33:22 white boys in America. Wait, for clarification, are we getting Duke JJ Redick or 40-year-old JJ Reddick? Either way. Okay. Either way, either version, you are getting a white boy that is somewhat calculated that for the first two couples that he's in, people are going to be like, I don't know if he's really, if he, his intentions are pure, but then he's going to lock it into a couple. They're not going to win, but they will make the, they will make the finale.
Starting point is 02:33:46 Charles Barkley is one of the most charismatic people the NBA has ever seen. I think that he would run the villa and he would be, he would be fan favorite number one. And then Blake Griffin is also a very funny person. He, he can, he can see both sides. I think, I think Blake Griffin would be the person that people would, would, uh, would cry, will cry to and he can make everybody laugh. If they did a like a karaoke challenge, Blake Griffin is dominating that. Oh, he's murdering karaoke.
Starting point is 02:34:13 He's murdering karaoke. He's dancing his ass off. So that is that is my five. Okay. Okay. I do like the diversity in Moe and Donovan's picks. However, I just got the sexiest demons. So you know what this round.
Starting point is 02:34:26 Oh my God. I should have put Tatum in this bitch. The Dominican Shack. Dominican Shack. Come on, man. Horford is a Dominican Chad. No the judge, know the judge. And Young Al Horford, he's built for Love Island, bro.
Starting point is 02:34:42 Okay. Next. Tatum cannot go. Tatum has to be on Love Island, UK. He's too boring. Yeah, he can't do it. I didn't pick him for a reason. Yeah, he can be US.
Starting point is 02:34:49 No personality. Oh, good. Next. Love is blind for sure. If you were to make an NBA team, what would it be called, and where would they be located? Oh. Damn. Obviously, I'm assuming we can pick cities that have already been chosen.
Starting point is 02:35:10 Yeah, yeah. Have a Clippers-Laker situation. Add a third team if you want. Yeah. It might be held against you if you don't do a good job, though, if you overpopulate a city. Maybe. So that's, yeah, it's a bold move.
Starting point is 02:35:23 It's a bold move. Mo's locked. Mo's locked. I don't know. This is a tough one. Second Atlanta team on call them. no no no no this is tough
Starting point is 02:35:38 I don't know I don't know where to go this is tough is like your life dream just in 40 seconds just I legit can't think of anything is a tough one
Starting point is 02:35:51 I feel like I'm just blanking bad radio uh all right we're gonna go bro I have no fucking clue with the right this is hard
Starting point is 02:36:05 let me switch you to this see i wish i knew just a little bit more about general world culture so i could pander okay i got because there would have been a team in manila man you don't put the shit in maine man all right ready all right let's go to Donovan first time. We're going to go with the Mexico City General. We're going to go international here. And I just think that Adam's, Adam has talked a lot about having teams international. I think we have a team in Toronto.
Starting point is 02:36:55 That's, listen, it is what it is. They're in a different country. But the time zones are the same. And that really is what matters the most. Mexico City follows the same timelines as, as America. So that, that would work there. you would have another team at elevation so we could dead that narrative for just Denver so they could stop making it their
Starting point is 02:37:14 complete personality and we could change their uniforms from those ugly 5280 because I think Mexico City is higher than Denver in terms of elevation oh yeah it is so they would lose their crown that would be a big a big thing the culture from from Mexico City from Mexico as a whole would dominate and you would get so much more international international influence from the Mexico City Generals. Okay. I'm going there.
Starting point is 02:37:42 Strong pitch. You have a mariachi in the stands, the same way that the Clippers have a band and the Rockas have a band, it's lit. What do you think their mascot is? I wasn't asked that question. Just curious. I don't have a mascot either.
Starting point is 02:37:57 We have to go through some focus groups for that. Okay. Okay. All right. Let's go to Isaac next. Let's go Mo Lass. I have the Hollywood Stars. Can I ask, why am I giving us another Los Angeles team?
Starting point is 02:38:12 Because we're forcefully removing the Clippers from the league. We're sending them anywhere else and we're booting them out, leaving a vacancy for another Los Angeles team. The Lakers haven't been showtime since the OG owner died. They've been coasting off a name recognition. We're bringing real star power back because we're selling this team to an ownership group where the face of the team, straight stars. Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kendrick Lamar are the faces of the
Starting point is 02:38:34 We have real stars in the building. They're bringing back Showtime. This team ain't worked nothing. They ain't greedy, bro. They've got to be good, but they're going to have the craziest venue. They're going to have the most glitz and glamorous around the franchise. So we bring LA back. And most importantly, we send the Clippers to Wong Dong.
Starting point is 02:38:50 We get them out of here. It's more about the Clippers getting out of the Frippers out of here and getting real star star power, real face of a franchise that sounds like Hollywood. W. Clippers hate? L.A. don't need another team. Whoa, go. Netsileged 20, bro. Okay.
Starting point is 02:39:11 My team is the Tennessee thrashers. Now listen. Thrashers? That's good. They'd be thrashing shit, bro. Bash and shit. Now, Tennessee, of course, already has a team. Memphis, Tennessee.
Starting point is 02:39:23 But we're putting this team specifically in Nashville, bro. Of course. You know, Tennessee's a cool state or whatever. Him in this white vote. Come up. No, no, man. You know what? You know what everybody's been saying about Memphis.
Starting point is 02:39:37 Guess what? We're bringing Tennessee or make a Tennessee great again. He's trying to. He is campaigning. He's potting his ass off right now. Listen, man. We gave Cowboys in this fucking building, bro. We got a hard-ass name.
Starting point is 02:39:58 This guy has a podcast for a Turning Point USA. Get him out of here. When they come to a name, where the team's going to be located at, mascots already thought about as well. Got a cowboy. Who is it, Charlie Curtis? Who's the mascots? Everything's thought out, man.
Starting point is 02:40:26 Oh, man. But, yeah, the Tennessee thrashes. You're really making food boo for white people. Basketball team four is biased. Oh, man. Dude doesn't dunk at all. Just fucking chest passes. No, man.
Starting point is 02:40:39 No, man. We're getting Memphis out the paint. Damn it. We're offering to people. Another solution. Solution to what? Just another side of Tennessee, man. Tennessee's long.
Starting point is 02:40:54 Another side. It's big. Solutions to does not see black people. Not, man. Two answers in a row. Oh, man. That she was too funny. Oh, my.
Starting point is 02:41:08 A warning, turning point USA concert. Honestly, honestly. Tennessee thrashes is a tough name. It's tough. I guess. It's better than Hollywood Stars. Come on now. It's actually not.
Starting point is 02:41:18 It is. Thrashers? What the fuck? His name is, Hollywood Stars is a little too. Come on the notes. I just could be a big name. That's not a real name.
Starting point is 02:41:27 Yes, it is. Okay. Ben. Everything is something. No, Trashers is the real name because Atlantic. We just have a hockey team
Starting point is 02:41:37 called the Atlanta Thrashers but they don't need this I was like a way back in a day thing Okay Next Make the best NBA player Podcasts Give the name
Starting point is 02:41:48 Plus three players You guys You guys me to be so creative of branding today Best player Podcast Stay true to the Shark Tank Name
Starting point is 02:41:59 I don't know Yeah but those guys Come in with pitches They've had time Okay Shark Tank on the spot would be that fun. Invent some shit.
Starting point is 02:42:08 No, for sure. Okay, three players that would make good content. We gotta make that happen. We gotta stop talking on camera, man. That's a billion dollar out there.
Starting point is 02:42:22 Okay. I'm trying to trying to think, trying to think about these players. So I think that we can get, wait, do I want to put them on the mic? I'm trying to pick this third member wisely He's trying to go with the Mo Method
Starting point is 02:42:46 Hell not I'm thinking about the third player to right now For a three-person podcast The dynamics really, really matter Yeah So trying to land on the right person here So I'm gonna go I finally got
Starting point is 02:43:02 I got my first name Okay I need somebody a little older And this is like all time Yeah, yeah, whatever Perrin all time, they're alive Full wilt on them like, I don't know Yeah, you think Bill would be cool Oh, I need somebody older
Starting point is 02:43:23 But I can't think of somebody who fits the billing All right, let's go here Who would be the perfect fit for this? Go here, let me erase this This man, I got ideas, bro. I have a great, idea but I need the one piece of bringing together and I'm scared I'm not going to think the right one. I'm scared the perfect piece for the third guy isn't going to come to me.
Starting point is 02:43:47 I'm going to have to go here. So we're going to go. All right. So I switched out my host. Listen, you might not get a name. I'm going to let you know that right now. Just a duo. Hey, man. The three players is just a maximum, I guess.
Starting point is 02:44:04 I want to do it. I forgot. I got to think about the name. Damn. Me too. This is awful radio. Because we're all just. I know facts.
Starting point is 02:44:15 The name is tough. Honestly, I might watch the name, bro. I'm gonna find there to break the silence. Okay. So we have this, we have this player. I think this person would be very good here. And then if we're trying to pair them up with somebody else. Who?
Starting point is 02:44:39 Okay, I'm good. I can present now if you want while they're doing this. Okay. Isaac. I have a podcast named. Point the Way, which features Lamello Ball, Chris Paul, and T.J. McConnell. This is a classic clashing of two perspectives in Lamello Ball's goofy ass and Chris Paul's stern, smart ass. They'll connect on certain things because they're both point guards with expectations and fame and fortune, but they'll disagree and we'll giggle at their generational divide.
Starting point is 02:45:06 And most importantly, we got the token white boy to bring it all together and giggle at all their jokes in T.J. McConnell. every player podcast needs a white boy that's there to laugh and bring it all together and do the ad reads. That's what Tisha McConnell is for. I know you can read the fuck out some shit. Deer Magano can read some ad copy. What do I tell you he can read some ad copy? Tiji Mogano brings it all together
Starting point is 02:45:28 while the stars of the show are Chris Paul and Lamello arguing with each other. And Chris Paul is going to be yelling at him like when Joe Budden was yelling at academics and Loyotti. You need to care! That's been Chris Paul yelling at Lamello while Lemao is a big guy.
Starting point is 02:45:42 and it all comes together just great. And then we got him in his book. T.J. McCardo's Nadeska. I think this is a foolproof entertainment machine. Okay. Do you CP3 fucking hate Lamello? I ain't know why.
Starting point is 02:45:55 And it would be cinema. Because he would hate him, but he would feel the need to last word every time and feels the need to school him while Lamella laughs every time and we get a cycle of content. I don't know if that podcast has longevity, though, for real. Because I know there's only so much
Starting point is 02:46:09 that CP3 can handle. That's fine. A limited series. some of the Chernobyl's on the greatest TV shows of all time, six episodes. Yeah. We can be a limited series. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 02:46:17 Okay. Okay. Mo, you ready? Yes. Okay. I got Tyrese Halliburton, Austin Reeves. Need the white boy in there. And Anthony Edwards.
Starting point is 02:46:29 Podcast is called YAP City. Of course. And Tyreys Halliburn already have a really good relationship. There's been, really, Tirees Halliburton said so many things already off the court. That's been fucking hilarious. I remember one story where Anthony Edwards told Tyrese Halliburne, he's like shot a deep three water. He was like, damn, he shot that bitch from Yucatan. One of the most hilarious podcast podcast lists of Tyres Halliburne's archive.
Starting point is 02:46:54 Austin Reeves, cool white boy, bro. What do you mean? Your name is AR 15. You've had such an interesting NBA fucking career. You were undrafted, played with Luca, played with LeBron, had to deal with an insane, the craziest offseason trade or in-season trade of all time. And you can bring things together, right? Plus, I'm sure the riff between him and he's the perfect guy to, like, be able to bounce things off really well. So first, he made the Nashville Turning Point USA team.
Starting point is 02:47:22 Now he loves Air 15s. It's a good duo. It's a good trio, man. Good trio. All right. So we have the He He's podcast with Magic Johnson, Kevin Garnett, and Myrtle. Michael Jordan. Unction.
Starting point is 02:47:42 Okay. It's definitely the unction. I think that you're going to have to force Magic Johnson to be the host just so that you can play off of the name he he's because he's setting everybody up. The passion in which Kevin Garnett talks with in every single situation is going to be a driving force of the story. Magic is a very charismatic person and he's a good storyteller. And so that combined with KG's energy is going to be very good.
Starting point is 02:48:07 Jordan is here because one, obviously, great player. has great great player has a close relationship with magic he will be easily rage baited by by magic telling stories
Starting point is 02:48:21 slightly differently than how he remembers it and KG when KG and Jordan disagree about stuff those clips will do numbers online so I think this is going to be a very popular social
Starting point is 02:48:32 social pod and magic will be a very nice directive of everything Jordan's going to hit a stain like he did last time we got it on media exactly He's not going to show up, man.
Starting point is 02:48:41 He used to never one day, bulk record for a month and never show up again. Good question, good question. Who is going to be reading the ad reads? Magic. Not K.C.? Magic can't read. Magic.
Starting point is 02:48:55 Okay. What was Isaac's name again? Point the way. Point the way. With Lamello, Chris Paul, and Tijam McConnell. A little bit too close at turning point. Let me go, Donald. I like the he-hees name.
Starting point is 02:49:10 You got the best name for sure. Oh, man. That's funny. Did I win a single round? How many rounds we do, three or four? I think you won the first round. Yeah, you won the first round. How many rounds we do?
Starting point is 02:49:27 Four. Oh, okay. All you all got one, Donovan got to. Okay. To the Nashville thrashers. That was crazy. Thrash and shit. In the name of...
Starting point is 02:49:39 Never mind. Fuck that. We know you're dedicated this one. No, man. No, man. That's hilarious, man. Oh, man. What a hoot.
Starting point is 02:49:54 He came to record it with a monster this morning. Poured out a little bit of a monster. It was ghost. It makes it worse, low-key. Yeah, lo-key. It was nasty bread. All right. Next thing we're going to do today.
Starting point is 02:50:10 we are going to play the NBA Imposter game with prompts. Be Souls will text all of us a category. It might be something like which NBA player can date your daughter. We all will write that on our boards, but the twist is, one of us will have received a different prompt
Starting point is 02:50:26 and is the imposter without even knowing it. One of us might have gotten a message that said name the coolest white player in the NBA. You write down a name. It's revealed what the prompt is. We have to try to figure out who the imposter is, why the person who is the imposter tries to defend. the name they wrote down.
Starting point is 02:50:41 We did this on house call. Yes, we did it on a house call. Bring it to the NBA. Beesol sending out the first round of text right now. Are you guys ready to lie? Okay. All right. I don't be lying, man.
Starting point is 02:50:52 The hardest part is you don't know the imposter until the question is revealed. So you got to try to keep a poker face and not react. I think about your lie in the moment. It's tough. Okay. Finishing up right now. Text are sent out.
Starting point is 02:51:06 Okay. Wait till I get more. We've received our first names. Are we doing current players only or all time? All time. All time. All right, Donovan. You should have got it.
Starting point is 02:51:16 Okay. Okay. I got my name. I can't write anymore. My handwriting sucks these days and washed. Got my name. All right. All right.
Starting point is 02:51:31 B. Soles, reveal the first question. All right. First question. Which NBA player would make the best school principal? I wrote down. Malcolm Brogden. Hmm.
Starting point is 02:51:43 Okay. He does seem like Obama. So I can understand that from just how he approaches the game standpoint. Make sense. I got LeBron James. Mr. President himself. He literally like owns a school right now as you speak. I promise.
Starting point is 02:52:04 You think owning the school is the same as being the principal. Damn near, bro. That's what it feels like. knows how to bring a group of kids together knows how to have fun while also making sure things are in line it would be a great great fucking principal okay I wrote Michael Jordan
Starting point is 02:52:20 hell no all right hey oh hold on hold on they're going to be given to bathrooms hey oh no shooting dice in the cafeteria contrary to popular belief contrary to popular belief
Starting point is 02:52:33 I think that Michael Jordan could be a good school principal I think that one recess will be a school principal I think that one recess would be fun as hell. Okay. Recess would be first. Everybody slapbos!
Starting point is 02:52:44 If you're playing football, you have the all-time quarterback. If you're playing basketball, obviously, he would make it a very, very competitive game. I think that for, in like an elementary school situation, because, again, we're doing, we're doing recess. Young kids are a while. Michael Jordan will be very strict. We'll provide structure to these children. They also would be very, they would adore him because the shoes that they're wearing on their feet,
Starting point is 02:53:06 he's the guy on their shoes. there's a reverence there so that he can keep the whole school in line. Can't tell you something? I think Michael Jordan. He's arguing way too hard to be telling the truth. I know. I think Michael Jordan would be decent. I think LeBron and Michael Jordan would both be got awful principles, but I believe you put Michael Jordan.
Starting point is 02:53:21 I don't believe for a fucking second. You surround kids with that degenerate. I think that's bad for children. I don't think you would do that with a serious conscience. Dude, Michael Jordan would be the type to imply or enforce a bullying principle, bro. He would imply bullying. He would be like, yo, he just said, you suck? Stop being a bitch.
Starting point is 02:53:38 Go do somebody. Don't suck. I don't think Michael Jordan believes. That's a cool principle. He plays both sides. No, he's not. He plays both sides. No.
Starting point is 02:53:46 You're teaching kids to stand up for yourself. I don't believe Michael Jordan believes that he'd be good around kids. He said, fuck. He believes. I'm putting him in this position anyway. That's ridiculous. He's getting fired by the PTA within six weeks. And that's being bold.
Starting point is 02:53:59 Sometimes you have to push people outside of their comfort zone to see them reach their potential. You're trying to force Michael Jordan to become a good person by putting him around kids? That's out. I think he can do it. I think you're a bad liar. If someone abuses animals, I'm not sending him to the vet. It's the last place I'm saying, no. I'm going to vote Donovan in the imposter.
Starting point is 02:54:20 He's not abusing animals. That's not a good analogy at all. That's nowhere close to the situation. You're correct, but that's a bad analogy. My bet is on Donovan being the imposter. Yeah, it's you. Oh, it's hell. me.
Starting point is 02:54:39 What was your prompt? Write somebody that you would hate arguing with. He would just never give anything up. Yeah, that was really easy to figure you up. Okay. Damn, I got set up. You guys out. That's a tough one to defend.
Starting point is 02:54:56 I'm not going to lie. All right. Next set of tweets are out or text. Text. Okay. This is an interesting one. Who's the answer to this? And we're doing an NBA history, right?
Starting point is 02:55:07 yeah okay who best fits this oh okay I got a good answer which I got to meet me there I hope I don't send you all astray I got two moments that we like
Starting point is 02:55:29 solidify this right now feeling confident? I don't know fairly fairly I already don't believe you you don't even know if you're the imposter yet I don't know actually who found out on of why.
Starting point is 02:55:44 What is the first? What is the second question? Okay, second question. Who is the most performative NBA player? Easy. Shaquille O'Neal. Shaquille O'Neal, the most performative bully.
Starting point is 02:55:58 I'm bigger than you. I'm going to make sure you feel how much bigger I am than you. Every locker room he walks into he has to exude confidence. You know, they say the biggest personalities are insecure. Put two and two together.
Starting point is 02:56:07 I think this guy is putting mouthpieces in his ass to compensate for something. Shack is performative. Okay. I don't even know if he's performing it. I think he's just him. Do you think he's just he'd be true to yourself?
Starting point is 02:56:19 Yeah. I think he's performing like a motherfucker. I think he's performing as the big, strong personality guy that has to make sure everybody knows how big and strong he is. Anytime he argues, he can't be the one that's wrong, he'll never admit anything. I think that's performing security. He won't admit anything because he doesn't know anything, though.
Starting point is 02:56:35 It's just real? Yeah. So he's just him. I think his ego is out of control. Who's your guy? Oh, Jason Williams. What does that mean? Just flash you passing.
Starting point is 02:56:48 But like the highlight real of Jason Williams would make you think that he's also Magic Johnson. And he's just not that player. Oh, so you're saying he's performing on the court, not as a personality. Performative Hooper. Okay. Like, why are you bouncing off your elbow?
Starting point is 02:57:04 Like, just throw it to him. Yeah. Just doing too much. Just give the ball. Professor doing too much. Like, you're doing all of this. You don't lead the league in a sit. Right, right?
Starting point is 02:57:13 I'm cool with magic like laying down throwing a bounce pass. He's one of the greatest passes of all time. You're trying to do that. You're closing your eyes. Let's get to eight assists. Let's worry about something else. Now you're fucking up my shooting pocket because you want to get a highlight. Exactly.
Starting point is 02:57:26 Because you want to be on one. So I think he's very performing. I see that on the court. Performative. Mr. Tateau himself. We already know what it is with him. Mr. screenshots, Tex and Kobe. I got you today.
Starting point is 02:57:43 That's incredibly lame. And then on top of that, too, brother, overly forced clip moment when they win the championship. And he's like, he did it. We're going to say now. I definitely don't think you're lying. I do think you would say that about Jason Tatum. Like you're just trying to form a moment. You're doing so much right now.
Starting point is 02:58:04 I don't think we did it as performative. I think that was corny maybe and not delivered well. It just felt like super forced. Yeah, maybe. I think that was real. He's just not good at delivering shit. I think he's just not charismatic. Kobe shit,
Starting point is 02:58:14 that can be performative for sure. Yeah. I'm saying to you. Because I think the both of us gave, I see you kind of gave an example, but I'm going to say it to you. You don't feel like Shaq is performative? No, I think he's truly him.
Starting point is 02:58:27 Yeah. I don't think being truly him makes it so you're not performative. I think performing a certain thing you want people to believe about yourself can be true to you, I guess. He believes to the man, but I still think he puts on a performance.
Starting point is 02:58:40 Nah. I think him, performing doesn't mean it's truly you. That means you're trying to put up an act in a front. And I believe everything that he said and he's ever done. That's right. You just think he's a dumb ass. Like, first time I landed Turk, I see a billboard of him in a wig, bro.
Starting point is 02:58:56 What you're doing with the Turks, bro? I'm trying to escape. He's everywhere. I think it's you. I'm going to vote Jason Williams. I think I was a good spin. I think performative you would describe somebody in their personality, not they're on the court ability.
Starting point is 02:59:11 I think you probably got like, something to do with highlights and pick Jason Williams. But that was a damn good spin, so I almost want to believe you. Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, that is tough. Because what is, what is his, like, career high and assists? Like, like, four seasons? Yeah, I think it's like eight and a half. Yeah, it's like, no.
Starting point is 02:59:25 Oh, it's fucking you then. Like, I think you did a good job describing to perform the basketball player. I think you would have picked a performer to personality, though. I don't think you would have went towards a basketball player in play style. If he did average eight and a half, you literally lied to me, so it's you. And I think you respect Jason Williams. Yeah. Why?
Starting point is 02:59:43 I don't know. Him as a personality He doesn't screen perform it as well. He's been on the podcast. He's just regular. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's more on the court.
Starting point is 02:59:49 And dude, I mean, I'm voting you. It's not me. It's you. It's not me. It's you, motherfucker.
Starting point is 02:59:57 Ah, I knew it. It's not me. Yes, it is you. Are you voting me? I mean, he said it wasn't him. He's just talking.
Starting point is 03:00:04 He didn't do nobody's voted yet. So I'm, I'm voting you. It's not me. It's not me. It's not me. I'm voting you. It's you.
Starting point is 03:00:12 got it you're a dumbass it's me it's me yeah see he fucking cheated he made it sound like it wasn't him and you believe what you do I mean
Starting point is 03:00:22 I was like it is you this is my answer but you sway me to him ah yep it was me was who's the most misunderstood player and I was gonna say Shaq's misunderstood
Starting point is 03:00:33 because he's a piece of shit and people don't know that he's worse than people think damn it he's not performative at all he's got stuff I know. I tried.
Starting point is 03:00:46 Okay. Next set of texts are up. Okay. Oh my God. Ooh, this is an interesting question. It's not as obvious as you think. Huh. I also don't want to be corny, my answer.
Starting point is 03:01:01 Yeah, don't do that. Don't be corny? Okay. I just need to double check one thing. Go for it. This isn't one we're Googling. It's a problem. There we go.
Starting point is 03:01:23 How confident you feeling? Zero out of ten. Just because? Yeah. I don't even know if the parma got is right for real. No matter what situation. Assuming we have to say question, this is hard to answer. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:01:41 This is a very bullshit adjacent question. Are you ready? Yeah, let me. Yeah. Write this down. All right. Go ahead and reveal. Okay.
Starting point is 03:01:53 It is. Which NBA player would survive the longest during a zombie apocalypse? Okay. I guess I'll keep going first. Kendrick Perkins. Pure size. Pure tank mode. I think that one, being big in a zombie apocalypse, I think always helps.
Starting point is 03:02:11 I think he's from the south. I think he's probably resourceful. I think he's probably used to working on the land and being a guy who is able to find and forge food. I think it's probably something he knows how to do. I think, I don't know how to say. I think it's definitely. I don't know I say sensitively.
Starting point is 03:02:25 I think he knows he needs food and he's not going to rest and he's not going to be an issue. He's going to be motivated to go out there and get food and survive. And I think in terms of safety, like, who's taking down Kendry Perkins? I mean, you're in a zombie apocalypse. It's one bite and you're done for, man. He also has no agility. First of all, the first thing you need to know about a zombie apocalypse, the zombies are not the biggest factor.
Starting point is 03:02:46 The other humans are we need to be scared of. The other humans are what causes people to die. I've seen the walking dead. The zombies become a non-issue by year one. you understand how to kill these motherfuckers, is the other people that are coming for you with a target on your back, and I think Kendrick Perkins could survive.
Starting point is 03:03:01 Again, he has no lateral movement. I mean lateral movement? I mean, eventually you are going to have to be like somewhat deceptive and elusive with your movement skills. You got to run through the trees. He can't do that. I'm not talking current day Kendrick Perkins. I'm talking prime NBA athlete Kendrick Perkins.
Starting point is 03:03:16 He still has better movement skills than the average fucking person. Even prime, what is this prime for? I never heard anyone will say that. I don't know. Two else in a kid. physical prime he's a fucking mountain of a man you're not taking him down
Starting point is 03:03:26 other humans are not taking him down with their hands munitions run out fast people throw spears and shit being huge helps he and something don't stop no spear
Starting point is 03:03:38 yeah I just going through you know I think being big is good in a zombie apocalypse yeah I don't know I get one javelin thrower
Starting point is 03:03:48 in the apocalypse so you know someone small he's done for Oh, here you got. Wait, why would you kill him as a fellow human? He said you have to look out for other humans. Oh, that's what happens. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 03:03:59 Resources limited humans come for you. I was about to say, why you just turn to the off all of a sudden. I got Jimmy Butler. Seems like he'd be very useful in no matter what situation he's in. He knows how to make coffee really well. He knows how to sit down. No room is good or bad. No one humans are soft and be able to fucking.
Starting point is 03:04:18 Yeah. Still don't miss. You need to be caffeinated. you don't have energy, you'd be fucking aware. He's not. But no, like, in any room,
Starting point is 03:04:27 you need to know who's made of tissue and who's not. And Jimmy Bullard knows that shit. He will be the top survivor when it comes to zombie apotheos because of those skills. And he's smart, too. I love the inclusion of coffee.
Starting point is 03:04:38 Pretty calculated. Might be you. I wrote down Keldon Johnson. Oh, hell no. Oh, hell no. Because I know. I'm picking you. Hell,
Starting point is 03:04:52 you got to explain Can't state the case? Go for it. I don't know, man. Sate the case, man. Kelton Johnson. Oh, yeah,
Starting point is 03:05:02 you're good. I do have a reason. No. Go for it. Keldon Johnson, one, he, Keldon Johnson knows how to hunt. He does hunt.
Starting point is 03:05:12 And a lot of people know, a lot of people know how to hunt. He bow hunts. Okay. When all the guns are gone, listen,
Starting point is 03:05:21 let's roll the, the ball out in the apocalypse and let's see who can really get things shaking. Kelton Johnson knows how to do that. He works on a ranch in Texas. He knows how to till the land. He can do all of those things. But you think if it's a zombie apocalypse, that ranch is going to be like normal or useful for a world.
Starting point is 03:05:35 Those skills aren't like, you can't really adapt. No, I'm saying. Jimmy Butler been homeless before, right? I'm saying he understands. He's seen the worst of it. I'm saying Kelton Johnson understands how to, how to work on the land because he works on a ranch.
Starting point is 03:05:47 Okay, those skills are transferable. And so those skills combined with the bow hunting, I think that he would last long. Seems pretty one-dimensional, man. That's a really good spin if you were the imposter because that was very calculated.
Starting point is 03:06:01 I don't think you would have pulled he has a bow and arrow out of your ass. Like, there's no way you just know that. You keep calling them spins. I'm giving you my reason. I know. I'm saying I believe you.
Starting point is 03:06:11 I'm going to go coffee, man. That was hilarious. He knows coffee. No, no, no, no, no. But Kelton Johnson is such a crazy answer. But again, I don't think you just, just you know no no Kendrick Perkins is the crazier answer
Starting point is 03:06:24 bro why do y'all hate on kentzik perkins and his bro you mentioned him being from the south he has no useful skills that we know of at all he has a bow and arrow my guy had been homeless he's seen what loneliness feels like before what does kentick perkins have to offer
Starting point is 03:06:41 vote me because that guy was homeless i guess you go for it's great reasoning i'm gonna vote mo i'll vote you i think you so it's the same you and i are in the same situation Well, I think that your answer is crazy, but coffee being one of the first two days out of your mouth is ridiculous. I'm gonna say you.
Starting point is 03:06:57 I'm gonna say someone who's useful in all facets. I'm gonna say you. We're voting you. It's not me. I was the imposter. I don't know if the Kenji burgers is fucking surviving. Come on, man. His prompt was which NBA player would win a hot dog eat contest?
Starting point is 03:07:13 What the fuck? You would eat all the food? He's fucking worse for this shit. He doesn't know what a lot of a lot of it. want to survive. We have to kill him day one, bro. Well, you got so much supply left. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 03:07:27 The comedy, it really threw me off. I successfully red herring that it's a mattering. No, I noticed it. I noticed it when I was said it to that was. Oh, my God. This is the opposite problem for surviving a zombie apocalypse. Yes. That was kind of weird.
Starting point is 03:07:40 He contributes nothing to the table. I'm saying bullshit. When I paused, I was trying to think of a respectful way to say the fat thing. It did sound like I was killed. our next x are out oh oh easy easy peasy all right oh wait why not easy oh not easy at all actually uh i think okay okay yeah i think we can go here hmm i'm not 100% sure here yeah i don't feel great either
Starting point is 03:08:24 i'm being a little unique in my answer but this is mad I'm always scared that if I try to do something unique, y'all aren't going to fucking believe me. So I'm like I have to make it very obviously not me. That's always my worry. Let me make sure I make it very clear my intentions. You got your answer or no? Yeah, I got my answer.
Starting point is 03:08:47 Okay. I'm ready. Okay. Which NBA player would you cast as Superman? I started us off with. Anthony Edwards. We need a black Superman. Michael Mujo was campaigning for it a few years ago.
Starting point is 03:09:00 We need to make it happen. And I think he wouldn't be the traditional Superman. He wouldn't be saving dogs and kids in the road and being like, you're the right thing, good? That wouldn't be Anthony Edwards. It'd be a unique spin on the character. But I think he has a look to him and the charisma. He's trying to make him a dog.
Starting point is 03:09:16 No! Yes, precisely. I want a Superman. No. No, no, no, no, man. Okay, so for me, I got Blake Griffin as Superman, bro. We seen him fly already before jumping over cars and shit. In order to be Superman, you have to be big, brolic, do the right things.
Starting point is 03:09:43 And Blake Griffin, I really know he really never did anyone wrong ever before in his life. He knows ethics. He's been wronged before. He's been left astray dry plenty of times in his life, bro. But somehow, just does right every time. And he's funny, too. Okay. I want JJ Redick
Starting point is 03:10:00 Okay I think I think that J.J. Redick purely for the eyes I think J.J. Reddick can have the best laser eyes that any Superman has ever had. I think he'll be miserable
Starting point is 03:10:11 as Superman low key. This is actor J.J. Redick. Yeah, I think he'll be like You said miserable? Why? Yeah, because he tried to maximize everything every ounce of this fucking abilities. See, but you need that as Superman for somebody who can take a little, not
Starting point is 03:10:26 not take over the, someone who can help save the world. Yeah, it's the core of Superman. The core of Superman comics is the pressure of being Superman. Jay J.J. Riesk and feel some pressure. You also need a cold white boy to do it and he has experience being a cold whiteboard. I think the answer is obviously Blake Griffin. That is incomprehensible to me. How?
Starting point is 03:10:44 I mean, what do you mean? You said he needs acting experience? He does comedy, bro. Yeah, that's not acting. He's been in L.A. I think it's incomprehensible. Obviously, but it's adjacent. It's close to both of you motherfuckers.
Starting point is 03:10:53 What do you mean? You all do shit. Get on their ass, though. You sell shoes and you. And you break clipboards. What the fuck are we talking about? I'm voting you so easy. I don't think any part of you
Starting point is 03:11:00 what thinks Blake Griffin would make a good Superman. He would. Plus he's the best I can do that both of y'all too. Oh, Calf. No,
Starting point is 03:11:06 not. Capp. Blake Griffin. Prime. Whatever. Prime. He might be third. Third?
Starting point is 03:11:12 Bro, my dude is not playing fair. You gotta let it go, man. It's easily. You're lying like shit. He didn't pick him. I'm voting you.
Starting point is 03:11:23 It is not me. Is you serious? It's not me. I couldn't show you the text. It was you? Yeah. Yeah, you loved it to the best white boy for it. His prompt was, which NBA player would you cast as Jordan Bell for?
Starting point is 03:11:41 That's funny. Ginger Reddick's a good one for that. That's funny. He's aged so much in, like, in his time as the, as the Lakers head coach. Yes, he'd be stressing too much. Yeah. I do want to build Hancock. Come on, man.
Starting point is 03:11:54 All right. One more round. All right. sending it out now last one being sent i'm glad i got one off one victory that's all i need okay last text is here is the word width supposed to be the end of that um yeah and donovan i still need to send it too fast let's see okay there's so many answers for this. Oh, never mind, there's one. Is there? Yep. I don't know. It's pretty...
Starting point is 03:12:32 There's one for me, but there's many good answers. Mm. To me, this is the easiest one answer yet. So many options. There's a lot of guys. I think I'm gonna go this one right here. Don't really deep and thought. Because there's a couple ways I can go here. Yeah. But I don't think I'm gonna take the...
Starting point is 03:13:00 Yeah, I'm gonna take the... Yeah, I'm gonna go here. Okay. All right, you ready? Reveal. Okay. It is. Who would you hate being stuck on a 10-hour flight with?
Starting point is 03:13:13 I put Ennis Cantor. I would jump out the window. Yo. A 10-hour flight. You know what I think of Enis Canter. I think of a video. Him on a plane, I can get a video where the dude has some, like, Trump shirt.
Starting point is 03:13:30 Yeah. see who looks at him I'll be stuck with that dude for 10 hours I'm jumping you gotta explain that I don't gotta explain it honestly I went MPJ
Starting point is 03:13:44 you don't got to explain that either you know 10 hour flight he's gonna show you his Twitter bookmarks yeah because there were there were a lot of yappers there were a lot of yappers that I could have picked by I do think the MPJ is somewhere out of
Starting point is 03:14:00 going that he would try and start up a conversation. And it's like, man, I'm, I'm trying to sleep, bro. And you try to talk about some nonsense. You're going to be sending you links. Yeah. I wrote Jordan Poole.
Starting point is 03:14:15 Regular dude. Not regular dude. Sometimes you ever like, just wake up in the middle of night and be like, yo, baby John Ron had a point. Like, could you imagine someone just reinforcing the worst thing ever said to you ever? When you're just like, you know, being a bitch? Like some cocky dude just thinks he's big time hot shot because you can shoot a little bit or whatever.
Starting point is 03:14:39 Like maybe he wasn't completely like off base. You know? Maybe at points. Really think about it. Think about it. You know, I. I commend you so much for coming up for coming up. the joint book.
Starting point is 03:15:03 I don't know. The vein that had a popping out. Oh, I'm sweating. Oh, my God. What is this question, Bob?
Starting point is 03:15:17 I'm voting Mo. This question was, who would make a podcaster? Oh, man. He had to be a moment. He got stuck in a corner. I had to pull out that card.
Starting point is 03:15:37 But I don't know for real when it comes to that. I'm like, I want to hear the back story to that like the real shit. He's not really got pushed for a reason. Dremont made some points. What it's been.
Starting point is 03:15:56 I can see him in a tattoo. He's like, oh, should I say this? Should I say this? I was saying it. Oh, shit. That is outrageous. No, I'm crying, man.
Starting point is 03:16:09 All right. Next thing we're going to do, you still go grab this whiteboard for me, please. Oh, there. You're taking this now. The next game involves you writing something down, and we'll see if you can compete with Donovan and Mo. Okay.
Starting point is 03:16:21 The next thing we're going to do is, I'm going to name a ranking all time. For example, I might say 100th in points scored. You guys have to all name somebody that you think is the closest to that ranking. So, for example, I say 100th in points scored, you might be like, Mike Conley is probably around there.
Starting point is 03:16:36 You guys all write a name down, reveal it. And I tell you guys, who was the closest to getting that right? And they get the point. Okay. So, first question. Who is 11th in scoring points per game in 2020? In 2020.
Starting point is 03:16:53 2020. 11th. Okay. 11th. The closest to number 11. Got it. You got it? You just know?
Starting point is 03:17:03 Mm-hmm. Okay. He sounds confident as a motherfucker. It has to be chilling, bro. again the 2020 season 2019 2020 20 20 points per game all right I guess
Starting point is 03:17:20 okay is that your names yep reveal Jason Taylor tell what the other way I put Jane LeBron I was LeBron because he was point guard for that year you know it was crazy Moe gets it and he's as close as you could possibly
Starting point is 03:17:38 LeBron was 12 in points per game that year Oh shit, okay Number 11 was Zach Levine Who was the most off? Jetham Brown was 26 Damn And Jason Tatum was 15 So Jalen Brown was a horrible game
Starting point is 03:17:50 He average is way less than 11 Okay, okay, okay It was closer than I thought Yeah, you're pretty close Honestly, if he didn't snipe that shit You could have got the point I just wanted to put David down
Starting point is 03:18:00 Facts Picking number 12 is crazy Next up Who was 88th all time In NBA scoring total points total points yeah
Starting point is 03:18:10 88th total point scored 88th that's what's the number 88 I don't want to tell you why I don't want to help you
Starting point is 03:18:27 please yeah I get your feel that's ridiculous but okay how is that ridiculous it's bad understandable that I want to convince it's actually wild
Starting point is 03:18:40 Why should we never give hits like that? No, that's okay. Why are you like this? He's a fucking mind-blown. You're on some other shit today. It's fine. It's counting NBA and ABA. All right, man.
Starting point is 03:18:57 All right, I'm sick of. It doesn't change a decent amount. I'm looking at both. I'm saying for me, it doesn't change anything. Okay. All right, you're good? Yep. Reveal.
Starting point is 03:19:09 I got Joe Johnson. Oh, Jason kid Okay No I got Luca Oh I think it's too soon For Luca
Starting point is 03:19:18 Okay Now I gotta find all these names This big ass list Yeah I breed Joe Johnson has to be way off Really? Way off It has to be
Starting point is 03:19:25 Luca is 172 Oh So you're about 100 points off Damn Damn I haven't seen Joe Johnson yet Really? I should just sound
Starting point is 03:19:34 Lathops I can control F Damn And who'd you pick Jason kid Jason kid And Joe Johnson Yo, I'm not seeing them.
Starting point is 03:19:41 I thought Joe Johnson would be somewhat close because he had a long career. He put up like so many buckets for so long too. I saw Joe might be like top 30. I don't know about top 30, but. I think he made the 20,000 club. Did he? I think so. Joe Johnson is 54th.
Starting point is 03:19:58 Okay. Not far. Not bad. So far you're winning. And Jason Kidd is. I thought he had like longevity on this side. Jason Kidd is 99th, which is actually closer to 88th. Jason Kid is the winning guess
Starting point is 03:20:11 You got it You got it you got it 88th is Calvin Murphy Come on The best knife that I was hoping When you guys would have said Is Nicola Yokic Who was 86th
Starting point is 03:20:21 Right next to him Okay Luca you failed me Yeah Luca wasn't even fucking close Next up Who has the 15th Most triple doubles of all time 15th
Starting point is 03:20:33 15th most triple doubles Yo that's so obscure Triple doubles. Let me go through my mind about this. Trying to calculate this is tough. I would if you're guessing off of vibes. 15. Dude, the nays around this are so fucking funny.
Starting point is 03:20:53 Yeah, I feel like there's some clear ones. And then like there's a clear drop off where it's like, yeah, I had five career total triple doubles. Top 20. We're not dealing with big numbers here at 15. I'll tell you that. Yeah, yeah. We're not dealing with huge numbers at all.
Starting point is 03:21:04 And the range of names here are hysterical. Never mind. I got two guesses, but I think this one's better off. Anybody can get this one's real. Okay. All right. Got mine.
Starting point is 03:21:17 I'm ready. All right. Reveal. I wrote Rondo. I wrote Joaquin Noah. I wrote Evan Turner. Evan Turner. How many triple doubles is Evan Turner have?
Starting point is 03:21:30 I know he had one because he won me a fantasy league one league because he got a triple one. He picked a guy with one. No, that's crazy logic. That's funny. I don't see Evan Turner. Oh, Evan Turner has five. He's tied for 111.
Starting point is 03:21:44 Damn. Okay. Never mind. Joachim Noah has. I'm looking for Noah. I don't see Joachim Noah anywhere close to anything relevant. I know that he led the league one year before. And I was like, all right.
Starting point is 03:21:58 True. Yeah. I'm a hate if it's Rondo because that was what I first. He might have four. I don't see Joaquin Noah in the top 50. Rondo is number 17. You sniped it. Oh my God.
Starting point is 03:22:08 He's right there. And the guys in front of him are tied to 15. So you're basically as close as you can possibly get. He has 32. Is LeBron there? LeBron's five at $1.25. Okay, thank God. Cool.
Starting point is 03:22:19 You can ride a little bit. You still have won, actually. Yeah. I'm hurt, bro. I put Rondo down first. You didn't go with your guy. No. Yeah, your guesses, none of them have been remotely close.
Starting point is 03:22:29 It's way off your right side of the backboard type shit. He just thought of bullshit, hoping something sticks. Every turn is crazy. I know. Number 18 Josh Giddy Whoa Number 21 Michael Jordan
Starting point is 03:22:44 That's so funny I tell you these names are ridiculous You gotta say to a wide range of outcomes Oh my God Next up 100th in assists all time Mm 100
Starting point is 03:22:56 Like in their career average or just All time total total 100th Big number This is a big number But also Oh so 50s 15th last time was Ben Simmons.
Starting point is 03:23:15 Triple levels. Ben Simmons and Drummond were tied. I almost put Ben Simmons. Oh, I thought Durham was top 10. Nope, 15. 10th and assists. This is just like... You need somebody with the ball in their hands a little bit, but not...
Starting point is 03:23:32 Not a point guide. Not a bunch. Yeah. What you got to go to? You got some bullshit written down. I know. No, it's just... It'll be funny.
Starting point is 03:23:42 Okay. You need somebody with... Try. Shut. Josh. It'll be funny. A clip will be made. All right, let's go here. My guy might just...
Starting point is 03:23:55 This is probably a stupid answer. There's one answer that you guys could name. It's a big name that would have been a snipe. Okay. I'll say that. There's one snipe available to you that you could realistically say, but I don't think you did. You ready? Reveal.
Starting point is 03:24:08 Rolled Curry. Ah. I wrote Jason Williams. Okay. Or Grant Hill. Grand Hill Okay, none of you guys are extremely close I will type it everybody's name
Starting point is 03:24:18 So let's see Grant Hill All Time Assist Rankings Grant Hill is ranked Number 112 Oh, you're close You're gonna be hard to beat Okay
Starting point is 03:24:31 You got it You're gonna be real hard to beat You got it man Let's see Who'd you write? Curry Steph Curry That could be around the same
Starting point is 03:24:38 I thought he might be a little bit too hard Oh Steph Curry's 29 He's extremely high Damn. He's extremely high. He's played for too long. He's a superstar. Actually, he's 27 now.
Starting point is 03:24:49 Jason Holmes. Damn. 27. Jason Williams. I don't even got to Google your shit. You read some bullshit again, I bet. Let's see. You're going to be way off.
Starting point is 03:24:58 Jason Williams, all time since rankings. Jason Williams is... 300? Jason Williams is 91. Hey! Jason Williams is closer than 100 in Grand Hill by 3. Let's go. Maybe he isn't performative, Donovan.
Starting point is 03:25:13 Yeah. That's what I wrote it down. Look, because you put it in my head. Top 100 all time of us is. Beast, all snipes it. You got it. Let's go. Wow.
Starting point is 03:25:21 He's been throwing up bricks all the game and he gets around. Wow. Incredible snipe. 99. The closest guys you can get. Janus. 99. And 101?
Starting point is 03:25:31 Dennis Ruther. Jesus Christ. Yeah, you need, you need, I was thinking about somebody who average like five assists for their career. Yeah. Carrier Irving 106, Ray Allen 107. Okay. Last one.
Starting point is 03:25:42 Who was 10th? and career points per game average. So not total points what their average per game for their entire career is. 10. Points per game. You know, people fall off
Starting point is 03:25:55 when they play too long. True. This one is tough. But there's names here. You guys can get this. You can't get 10 exactly. That'd be shocking. But you can get around here.
Starting point is 03:26:08 10th all time and career points per game. I'm good. It means that somebody is going to ask. Be so like coffee again. Yeah, you got this automatic. Holy shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:26:21 10th all time in average the person has to come in I think if you're already that high you can't be somebody who like played super super long and you probably have to be in your prime like right now like I wouldn't be shocked if like take forever so you really have to like yeah you have to you have to start your career off firing yeah all right you guys ready wait wait wait yeah I think so okay I'm ready reveal Kobe Bryant it's my Mamba logo that's what you're excited nice that looks at the destiny logo
Starting point is 03:26:59 I'm going Luca Hardin ooh I think Luca may be too high because he came out like second season averaging like 28 29 but I think I think the first season probably bring him down just a little bit Lucas way too high he's third all time
Starting point is 03:27:14 and points for game yeah he's kind of a demon yeah way too high James Hardin is way too low because he's a low star and he's been watched for a handful of years now 30 for James Hardin damn Kobe.
Starting point is 03:27:25 Let's see, Kobe has some washed years at the end. Kobe, though, actually, is he technically closer?
Starting point is 03:27:31 I got to know. Kobe's number 18. Oh. So I think Luca is still closest at three. That's crazy. You still snived it.
Starting point is 03:27:40 Okay. Now, I think if we did points for game range, let's see, Luca is, number 10 is Bob Petit at 26.
Starting point is 03:27:46 36. Luca's about three points too high. Kobe at 18 is two points too low. So Kobe's closer in points per game. But not in ranking,
Starting point is 03:27:54 which is what we're doing it on. Donovan gets this point. Let's go. I almost guess Kobe. Bears. Yeah, because he started off slow and then the tail end was damaging. Number 10 is Bob Pettit. LeBron is number eight.
Starting point is 03:28:07 That would have been a great guess. I thought LeBron was like top five. Nope, because of the past couple years, I guess. Shays number 12. Whoa. She's 12 and Dame is 13. Whoa. Trey Young is 15.
Starting point is 03:28:17 What? Expected. Yeah, he's a great. Fucking me, what? Take that back. You surprised? A little bit. You like the tone on your voice.
Starting point is 03:28:25 Yeah. What? What? He doesn't belong there. Last thing we're going to do today. I can name three NBA celebrations better than Night Night. Curry's Night Night Night. See, now I don't want to play.
Starting point is 03:28:44 You like Night that much? I do. Would you feel better for your different one? I actually would. Okay. I can name three NBA celebrations better than LeBron James Silencer. Ooh, man. They actually like that.
Starting point is 03:28:55 one more. Take your pick. Okay, I can name. I think I can name. We'll go night night then. Okay. Yeah, night. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:29:02 Okay. How many got you got? I got three. You got three? I can name a solid eight. Easy eight. It's a fucking lot. There's a lot.
Starting point is 03:29:12 I go 10. Beasles? I'm a freeze up on two, man. I'm good. I'm already, I'm already doing it in my head. I think I can go to. Can you do 12?
Starting point is 03:29:24 10 is deep. 12 what about what happened to 11 fuck 11 11 oh 11 might be hard you might got it at 10 I think you got it at 10 I give me your 10 best celebrations better than night night iconic
Starting point is 03:29:40 I think I'd be signature celebrations not some shit someone did once okay they can't make my tongue a little finger wag okay would definitely give you that uh LeBron silencer smooth fair I'm sure it's debatable to some people but we'll give it to you no Lebron silencers cross sport bro people will be doing that in FIFA right.
Starting point is 03:29:55 It's better than that. He would do 9-9 too, though. True, you're right. LeBron's buff. Exactly. I think Russ's rock the baby
Starting point is 03:30:03 I think is better. Okay. I think it's because of how pervasive it is in basketball culture, I think that's better. Yeah, you being a baby is like it's like
Starting point is 03:30:12 it has cachet. Yeah, you're belittalian. It shows more personality too. Hmm? Three to the dome. Classic. Everyone does that. Which one have you done more
Starting point is 03:30:23 in your life? What? Three to the dome or night night. we did them for sure you had nightnodding people with the wreck no that's so late Joe asshole man you had a random pick up game
Starting point is 03:30:34 yeah let you just dump his ass fuck the game I don't do you hit a layup we're James Hardin's little Oh I think that's more way more Easy for sure
Starting point is 03:30:47 James Harder's mixing There's a whole bunch of old ones That I'm missing Big balls Come on now Has to be in there Has to be in there. I think when you get banned for that,
Starting point is 03:30:58 you get fine for that. Yeah. It's like a banned book. It makes it more legacy behind it. Yeah. So that's there. Shit's four in height, 451.
Starting point is 03:31:07 Dang. Dang. Who else? You're at six. Yeah. You need four more iconic ones. And you can't just think good ones. It got to be better.
Starting point is 03:31:15 I think you can. Yeah, I'm like, if I, I'm forgetting a whole bunch right now. Let's see. I'm trying to go through the errors. Do you think Delos ice in the veins is better?
Starting point is 03:31:28 Yes, because they, they, he did that in Brooklyn. Everyone on the Lakers been doing that. LeBron been doing that, like it was... Lamello? Yeah, Lamello does that shit too. I think it's tough because Curry is so much more iconic. So he has the aura, so everything he does is cooler than what DeAngelo Russell does. But I think in a vacuum, this is better.
Starting point is 03:31:44 If LeBron starts doing your shit, bro, it's a co-sign. No one runs in my veins. It's crazy. Yeah. We'll go seven. We'll give you that one. Yeah. Imagine if Curry did that.
Starting point is 03:31:55 Nobody would hear at the end of it. I know. Also, I'm thinking about this. Jamal Murray's a little arrow thing. That's tough. That's not better than that night. It's only because it's Jamal Murray.
Starting point is 03:32:04 That's a fucking bow and arrow. What do you link? Like that's not better than night nights. Link is kind of cool. Fucking Caddus Everdeen. It's not better. She's lit though. Sure.
Starting point is 03:32:15 So is Step Curry. Who's more lit? Caddice Everdeen or Steph Curry? Anybody. I think anybody in Miami and Washington. Can I throw it in there Or is he alone on this one? Help me out.
Starting point is 03:32:28 I'm not going to lie. The job bazookas. Oh, and the grenade too? Yeah. The whole artillery. Do you give a spot for the Jammerer artillery? Yeah. And the gritty too.
Starting point is 03:32:39 It's tough, man. But I don't know if you can't. That's more football. I'm not going to, yeah. I'm not going to bring that over to somebody in the NBA. Do you think job weapons are cooler than that night? Yeah.
Starting point is 03:32:47 So there's two lethal weapons. Then I'm saying. Oh. I think, I think, I think Trays ice trade is, is better than night night. Okay.
Starting point is 03:32:55 That gets you eight? Yeah. If you want to go draw, I think I would go grenade. I think the throwing it and it covering your ears, that makes it tough. Yeah, looking at the crowd,
Starting point is 03:33:01 just firing the hole. It's tough. That's tough. And the loophole around the gun shit too. Yeah. It's a smart guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:33:09 It's pretty good. Oh, game time. Day time. Okay, that's nine. Easy. Assuming you're not going to job. That's nine. No, we're going to drive.
Starting point is 03:33:17 Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm getting to 10. There you go. 10 celebrations better than Steph Curry night night. You didn't bring up, um, Dylan Brunson,
Starting point is 03:33:26 nosebleed? Hell no. That's not better than that. Hell no. Nah, it's, it's cool, but it's just simple.
Starting point is 03:33:30 Yeah. Not better than night nights. What is Tatum's? Don't worry about that. It's the, he like, because of three up. No,
Starting point is 03:33:37 that's all right. Okay. And with that being said, that's the end of this episode. If you're still here. Yeah, idiot. You thought you're screwed for all this dumb ass.
Starting point is 03:33:49 I'll see you next week stupid.
