Most of the NBA off season is behind us.
At least it has to say most of the important parts.
Time wise, we're only about a week and a half in.
But most of the important dominoes have dropped.
We're kind of just waiting on LeBron James and John the Cominga
to the sign where they're going to play this year.
All the other names of Merritt are gone.
The stars.
The stars that will decide that.
It's so crazy.
Camings is a star in his mind now.
That's so crazy.
Fuck, no, he's not.
But he's in terms of players been talked about.
He's been treated like one right now by the media because there's not much else left
on the market.
But that being said, though, we are also about a weekend.
To Paul George being a Celtic, B.Soles.
Yes.
Give me a progress update.
How are your emotions right now around the trade?
We're a good team, man.
I'm coming to terms.
I want to say I'm pro Jalen Brown trade, but, man, two Super Max contracts is crazy.
Brad Stevens was right about that.
Yeah, people don't talk about that enough.
I feel like that's a quite reasonable angle that everyone's ignored.
Yeah.
Like, two 35% maxes is kind of untenable.
He was spamming that, like, yeah, I'm not going to lie.
We're trying to build the championship roster.
We just can't do it with two players taking up seven.
percent of the cap.
God damn.
Paul George makes
$54 million and $56 million.
Exactly.
That's another that's a counterpoint
is that it's not that big of a savings
but it's a one year or less.
How long is that Jaylon Brown's contract?
Three years.
Three years?
Yeah.
And then he was extension eligible.
That's the thing he wanted extension to.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I promise you he didn't want to pay good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So nevertheless, you're coping.
Yeah.
A little bit of a little bit of it.
Donovan, are you coping after the Mitchell Robinson loss?
I'm just trying to move on with my life, man.
You know, I'm trying to move on with my life, man.
Oh, you know.
Oh, your past cope.
It is what it is.
Okay, you're rich Nirvana.
I'm just, you know what?
Who's ever in the locker room?
We got to go to war with these guys.
That's what it's going to be.
I guess my coat would be they will make a deal at the deadline.
Okay.
Sure.
So I'm waiting until February.
Aren't you guys the second apron team or not?
Oh, you're not actually.
We're not.
Yeah.
Because, because Mitch is not here.
Okay.
And apparently I'm coping by thinking about John the community in a positive light.
Absolutely.
That might be the biggest cup out of us too.
Yeah, for sure.
It might be.
He is your best wing defender right now.
Well, he's not on the team yet.
Potentially.
If they sign him, we'll be.
And yet he's still the best wing defender on the team.
Yeah, I don't care that much of they get them, but I guess I'd rather happen than not.
But on the topic of all of our cope, all of our thoughts about every team's offseason that's gone down in the past 10 days.
I should see about a title.
We are going to take a look at a wide angle of every single team's off season and what their future might say based on that offseason and tell you guys what we think about their future.
and tell you guys what we think about their future in one word.
Not naturally, more words will come after that one word,
but we're going to distill it down to one word
that defines what this next era for every team will look like
coming off of this free agency.
Can you imagine if he actually just said one word?
This would be like a two minute and 15 second show.
So we'll say one word followed by many words.
Yeah, man, you guys know how it goes.
Make sure like I've been telling you for the last few weeks.
Check out the T3 merch.
That is the first link in the description.
We have every single seasonal merch drop
from the past three years available right.
now for the whole summer. Go check it out. Check out House Call. Check out our Love Island
Corners that have been on House Call. Recapping Love Island USA. All of that. Cue the intro music.
Let's talk about every NBA team. We're throwing it back.
That's crazy. He was bragging. I don't know. You just said it.
The cranium is crazy. Oh my God.
Crown eaters rejoice.
So you guys know how this works.
When we do these every single team episodes,
we will go division by division until we cover every team.
And actually today, we're going to start with the team
that typically is the last division we do every time
because we always forget about the teams in this division.
Central is up first because we have to talk about.
The Cleveland Cavaliers who just signed Donovan Mitchell
to a $70 million a year contract.
He will now make $322.9 million over the next five seasons
with the final season being his age 33 season.
I repeat age 33.
For a small guard in which he would making $75.5 million on a player option.
That is the lay of the land for Donald from Mitchell's contract right now.
How does this, first of all, what do you think about this contract?
And what does that say to you about their future and what words you'd give them?
Shout out to DeMitch.
Secured the bag, man.
You did a good job.
You can rest.
Shout to his agent.
He can rest for five years.
Yeah.
Yeah.
W2 income, man.
I say it every time.
With benefits and all.
My house.
The first single word that I can think of when it comes to Cleveland Cavaliers as a whole,
and it really embodies this contract and Donovan Mitchell, relevant.
They're going to be relevant for a long time for the next few years,
at least obviously with this contract.
I think having Donovan Mitchell and also Evan Moble gives you a ridiculous floor to be a competitive team.
And not every single team in a league has to be built to win the championship every single year.
Of course, you want to give yourself the best shot,
and you want to maximize on that.
And I think this is what it does for the Cavs, you know?
When was last time the Cavs got a top tier free age or anything like that?
Or we're in position to make like blockbuster trades.
De Mitch.
When they got DeMitch, you know?
And for the Cavs, it's not so often unless LeBron James is hovering around your team.
So, and I guess he's doing that now.
I guess he's hovering around the team.
Exactly.
And when it comes to this signing or this resigning right now, I like it only because you get to be relevant for a couple of more years and that's value.
That's how you build up your team and the history behind it.
Yeah, we were talking about DeMitch and how the playoff performance wasn't fantastic this year.
The regular season, the year before wasn't fantastic numbers-wise.
The team was really good, but his scoring took a dip as he sacrificed for the team.
Efficiency wasn't great.
There was like some signs that like, I'd say us three, we're not panicking about D.
Mitch, but we're not like the most excited about the proposition of building around D. Mitch as an organization if we were a fan of this team.
I think it's a fair assessment of all our opinions.
at the very least we're not like super thrilled
about the prospect of DeMitch being our franchise player.
Add me in there.
Had you in there.
All four of us.
Not super thrilled about the prospect
of DeMitch being our top franchise player
for the next several years.
No.
So I would say none of us are probably thrilled
about paying him $75 million in his 33.
Is that correct?
Sure.
Very accurate.
Very accurate.
Very accurate.
So I'm not up here to be like it's a bad deal.
It probably won't be a great deal at the end.
To be fair,
the Cleveland Cavaliers are aware of this.
They're not morons.
They know that DeMitch will probably
probably not be worth $75 million as he approaches his mid-30s.
The point is to what you said, you kind of just got to do it.
If you're them, they suppose, you're trying to be relevant.
You're trying to be a team that stays afloat.
That's the word I would use for their new era.
They're afloat.
They could do a hard reset.
Trade Demich sell high, like somebody like me would say to do.
Easier set them done, I'm sure, when you're making decisions for a franchise and you
have the ownership idea of it, the fan idea of it, and all the things that go into it
rather than just sitting on a couch and saying, trade D.
So I get it to some extent.
the fact that LeBron might come back,
the fact that they could trade Jared Allen,
could keep him,
Evan Mobley is there,
could be a future superstar,
could just be Evan Mobley,
we don't know, really.
All of it to me is just staying afloat
and seeing what happens
and hoping you can get a Knicks arc.
The Knicks are probably going to inspire
a lot of good, not great teams
to just keep going and hope
that time heals all
and eventually you kind of figure it out
because you have so much talent in the door
that you stay afloat until at your moments.
They're kind of the definition of that to me.
Yeah.
It sucks because it's not,
not de Mitch's fault, but it's, it's instantly a bad deal.
Like instantly will be a bad deal. There's no chance it's not by the end.
Yeah. But for the next few years, I suppose it's all right.
Maybe for like a year, but it's just, it's like, for a year, it's cool.
This whole thing is, is pressurized. And I think like for them, they have to, they have to
maximize their ability to win a title now. And if, if that takes, you know, giving de Mistit,
this contract and dealing with them, they have to, they have to maximize their ability to win a title now. And if, if that takes, you know,
and dealing with it on the back end, then so be it.
But we've seen team after team after team over the last couple of years just break up
because your guys are making insane amounts of money.
Like by the time DeMitch gets to the end of this contract,
we're going to have deals where people are making a million dollars a game, right?
Where people are making $82 million a year.
And I think it's very hard for teams to actually build
a squad where somebody's making this much money and you have the penalties that
come along with the second apron so it's not again it's not his fault he's he's earned it
completely but it just puts the calves in a really really tough spot and so this is where like
you wish that that teams that were able to offer their stars this type of money had some type
of relief to it so that it doesn't instantly become something where now you know everybody's
happy on signing day and then the day after it's like,
yo, what are we going to do in five years?
Like, this is low-key bad.
Yeah.
So it's tough that way.
Yeah, it's not sugar-cote it.
I don't love it.
You're right.
It is what it is that like it's not great in terms of setting them up.
It's not a value contract that you feel great about.
The realities are the realities.
You're not going to be upset with employing a top 15 player in the world while
he is that.
We know he won't be that forever.
His archetypes suggests he might not be that for the extent of this contract.
So there's definitely a lot of downside if you want to be a pessimist as a
I can't really pitch to you anything positive.
The best I can pitch to you is like neutrality and it's all right.
I mean, the positive things that I can say about this is like, okay, you know that Evan
Mowgli has like reached or damn near like touched his ceiling as a player and that's perfectly
fine.
It's slightly disappointed because we all thought of him as having like a top 15-ish ceiling
in the entire world.
But clearly it's just not that and that's perfectly fine.
Meanwhile, you have someone like Donovan Mitchell's like going to give you a routine like 27,
and 28 a game.
His style of play, of course, can be controversial at times, I guess.
But overall, he's going back to what you said, keep you afloat.
And then on top of that, too, you're building, you want Donovan Mitchell to be a team legend
at this point.
And this is what this contract says.
You want him to be remembered as a cavalier, a consistent perennial all-star, and the
guy who's routinely making the all-star team, toward the top of the league when it comes
to jersey sales and all that.
And then what makes this contract a little bit easier to soften is that, okay,
The Cavs do have their picks reset at the end of the whole Jared Allen.
And when they actually got Donovan Mitchell, their picks end up resetting.
And towards the end of this contract, they have everything.
So if there is a pivot and they want to get off Donovan Mitchell, that opportunity is there.
I think this really what matters in this contract is, does LeBron James come or not?
Because like you said, Donovan, that this contract is clearly that they have to maximize their ability to win right now, that they're a win-out team.
And they're not pivoting away from that.
they're trying to be the Nix and hope that
enough years in a row with this core
eventually things will break right
I think the hope for that to happen is LeBron James
comes and gives you two more years of
all-star level of production before he retires
It has to be
Yeah
And if you can get the Bronin especially on a veteran minimum
That's the type of thing that can make you have a Nix run
Because that's insane value ad
Yeah
So the last year of Evan Mowley's deal
And whatever year that coincides with
DeMitch's deal
They are going to make
70% of the cap combined.
And so the cap is going to be different and it's going to rise in a couple of years or projected
to rise in the next couple of years.
So those numbers are going to be,
are going to be different.
But we just saw a championship duo of Tatum and Jalen Brown be broken up.
And at least from the messaging that we've heard from Brad Stevens, a lot of it is we
can't have two guys making that much money together.
And so if you have a duo that's already proven that's already shown their, their
capabilities, what the hell am I supposed to?
thing about team it's in Evan Mobya at this point
making that much money together. It's
very hard to wrap my mind
around what this team is going to be
next year if this year is not the year
for them. So LeBron come save the cabs again
they need you. And a different way. They're not
downtrodding like they were last time but
they're on the precipice of being a real contender
and they need you to put them over the edge.
Yeah, I agree.
And I'll be kind of moved. If they do get LeBron
which it seems like they do in my opinion reading the tea leaves
I'll be kind of moved by that fit
I think, especially because we've seen some rumors out there that they are not just open to,
but kind of want to trade Jared Allen and reset their team.
Not for like just picks a dump or anything, but they want to like trade him for a comparable
wing player or whatever it might be to be a Femobilite center type of team.
I think I can be moved by this team when they hit their final form if they get LeBron.
You're not buying the 76er propaganda?
What does it mean to buy the propaganda?
That you're like believing in it as the-
Like that he'll go there or they should go there?
Yeah.
He'll go there.
He could.
I don't think it's a 0% chance he picks them, right?
Like, there's something there because Maxie's clutch.
Like, there's something there.
I would be surprised if the positives and negatives are weighed by LeBron James,
and he decides Philly over the Cavs.
Yeah, that just doesn't scream like a late stage career move at all.
And if you are trying to do that, yeah, I guess it makes sense.
Obviously, it's a good fit on paper.
But right now I'm kind of settled into thinking that he's going to be Caveson because he's home.
Okay.
Yeah, and I don't think it's like great of fit on paper.
And I wonder what he thinks about that.
Because, you know, a lot of Hooper's out there.
Maybe it is cool.
But I imagine LeBron's aware of the lot.
There's a lot of balls, a lot of mouse to feed out there.
That was a problem with the Lakers.
And he didn't want to be a third option.
Is he thrilled to be a third option here with lesser talent?
I don't know.
So I think it's a little less smooth than made out to be.
Jailon Brown going to be the fourth option on that team, bro.
No, Jaylon Brown is going to make LeBron be the fourth option and make him feel it.
Yeah.
Yeah, so it's a little weird
clunky fit to me that I just kind of hope
you goes to the Cavs.
Next team to talk about
one word to describe their future.
Milwaukee Bucks,
finally trade LeBron James.
Oops,
finally trade Janus.
Now have a young core
Braden Burys,
Nate immense,
and a bunch of players
that they traded for
from the Miami Heats
to go with Ryan Rollins,
who's already existing
and who now was the keys
to the point guard position.
One word to describe
their new era post Janus.
Finally.
Fuck.
Damn.
finally dude it's over i can like four words two of which were the same i can finally think about
this team as like a complete new slate they don't have you know all their picks and that's the
situation that they're in really does suck but you can at least like look at this team and be like
wow this is a fresh breath of air i saw something that was fucking hilarious the other day
i saw on the ticot someone was recording kai kuzma like playing ones versus some random dude he was
getting absolutely clamped it was hilarious
I forget he's on that team.
That's tough.
I saw Kuzma get dead in by another thing.
What a breath of fresh air.
I know.
The bucks have.
They got to get rid of Kuzma.
But as to that,
yo,
it's fresh air in it.
These are great.
Kuzma sucks.
Awesome.
This is Filler.
Filler era.
Bro,
Tyler heroes were in number 42.
What are we doing?
It's a bad number.
What do we do?
We're just out here trying stuff,
throwing stuff at the wall.
seeing if we if anything sticks.
This is not like a, this is not a team that is going to win a title or even compete for
the playoffs or the play in.
This is the team that is going to put you in position to capitalize on the draft picks
that you got from trading Janus.
And so at this time, yes, it is a breath of fresh air.
We're going to hope that we can have fun in the process and in the process of losing 50 to 60
games a year, but it's not something why I'm expecting a lot from the bucks. And in five years,
we'll look up and be like literally what just happened. Okay, filler for the bucks. Detroit Pistons.
How do we describe them right now in their future after an off season, which I'll say they're
a little bit less active so far than people would want. The Jalen Duren thing is still stretching on.
You have to assume they'll retain him. Maybe they'll make him upset because they didn't give enough
money. Nevertheless, we'll be on the team next year and he'll be on a long-term contract because
They have all the power in a restrictive free agency environments.
They get Isaiah Joe to be a new shooter there.
They replace Tobias Harris with John Collins.
And they draft their back-up point guard.
That should hopefully give them a lot of juice that they need
and a second ball handler on their next to Cade in some of these lineups.
Overall.
Also, I did do this trade yesterday.
Oh, yeah, this trade yesterday.
They got Toyin Prince and Gary Harris.
Nice.
Cool.
Gary Harris in 2026.
Okay.
Theoretical 3 in D-TOP players.
It never, never hurts.
Yeah.
What is that?
It's shaky?
Okay.
I think for me, I'm just optimistic because they did, they didn't do any like big
splash movies going back to what you said, but they did add more depth and quality
players and Isaiah Joe who can be like a quality rotation piece.
They did add a book of Corey who in theory is like a, he's going to be like a light up bench
score.
Dennis Jenkins is still there who was that for them last season.
And then John Collins is like your routine.
like, I don't know, 12 and 5 guy.
Yeah.
Similar to level player, Tobias Harris.
It's not, I'm not going to lie.
It's a slightly disappointing
off season for me because I thought they were going to do something crazy
considering like, you won 60 goddamn games last year.
No one saw that coming.
But it feels like a very,
stale off season for me personally.
That's why I feel optimistic.
But the ceiling of guys like in Bukukkah-Cori hitting is high.
John Collins being like another loft for them.
makes their offense a little bit more interesting, but they do, they're relying a lot of Bukkori
and Isaiah Adelaidea really hit for them. I wouldn't even say that. They are. You're right,
especially Bukukori, but I think what they're really relying on is just internal growth. They're
relying on just K to Sarr and Duren to be better next year, from the experience they just got.
I would say they're one word to describe this next year, patient. I think they're trying to resist
doing too much. And you know, I understand. I understand, right? Like, as a fan, I was saying at the
guys on. I actually want them to do too much. I would like a maximum approach to the opportunity
they just had. We were talking about hoping they trade for a Michael Porter Jr. or whatever
insert score X you want to see on the wing next to Cade. I would still like to see that in theory,
but I do understand the situation they're in. They're having to pay Duran, maybe upwards of
$35 to $40 million, which is tough. Asar is looming as a guy who's going to get a lot of money
for being the best permanent defender in the league. Cades are already expensive. It's much
easier said than done to go out there and make some big splash move to get a big contract.
So I can respect them being patient and saying we feel good about what we have
We're not going to listen to the
Just stomping a feat telling us to go out there and get one more big piece just to do it
Because we are obligated to the position we're in
They weigh the options and feel like the position they're in
Being conservative is the best approach
And in time what's up the right or not
I don't know how much faith I should have
In an Assar Thompson and Ron Holland offensive leap
In a Jalandar and bounce back from that playoff performance
To get even better on the defensive end
In a Corey to come in and be an immediate contributor
I don't feel strong or bad either way.
I'll just wait and see, I think.
Yeah, I think they had, like, everybody has their time to be patient.
Yeah.
And if they're just going to be the most patient team in the league, then so be it.
Yeah.
Like, you know, like, I can't hit on them for that.
I just think that.
But it also doesn't inspire you.
Yeah, and a lot of teams in the East are doing things,
and at least on paper are addressing issues in the, in the, that,
have played them in the in the past and the pistons haven't really done that and they were like a
borderline top 10 offense last year not sure like last year felt like the perfect scenario for them
in terms of winning 60 games even with kid having the collapse along your defense your culture
drives everything that that you're doing and while defense and this culture can be consistent year
over year, I do think that at a certain point, you do want things to be balanced a little bit.
And I'm not sure if their offenses is going to catch up to where their defenses and they're not
making a lot of moves that make me feel, like you said, inspired that that's going to be the case
this next year.
All right.
Chicago Bulls.
Drive Caleb Wilson.
Have their new, hopefully franchise player, a whole lot of length around him.
Sengeh, modest, him, Swain, Clackston to be their starting center for the time being.
lots of long skinny players
you have an identity now
how do you describe that identity
in their future going forward
with one word?
Sneaky. Sneaky? Yeah, I'm not going to lie
I have I broke this room. I have three words
for y'all. Must see TV, right?
They're going to be so fucking fun to watch
next year. I can imagine
You sure? Absolutely fucking
really yes. Between modest and
between modest and Caleb and then Norman
giving them a good amount of spacing too
within Josh Giddy, all he knows is how to run up and down to
like it's going to be mad fun.
We go into some games this season?
Maybe.
Probably.
Oh, definitely.
Yeah, sure.
I wanted to, but the team was so just bullshit, I don't want to go.
Yeah.
I'm down to go watch Caleb Wilson for sure.
Yeah, absolutely.
They're going to be fun as shit.
Can maybe the playoffs this year?
I think that maybe we need to calm down with fun as shit.
I think there might be a little more growing pains than we think.
There is one shooter in this lineup.
They are very skinny.
There's actually zero guys who can reliably get a paint touch off the dribble right now, I think.
Because any of these guys bench 135.
Maybe.
So I do think there's a little more maybe growing pains than we are assuming.
Oh, for sure.
Best case scenario, you can't be right.
Second half of the season, you can definitely be right.
Obviously, the athleticism on the wing of Caleb Modis is going to be crazy.
We'll see what the rest of the guys do around that.
I'm with you.
I think sneaky is a good way to phrase it because they were sneaky smart this offseason.
And you don't usually expect that from the Chicago Bulls.
Yeah.
I mean, they got a whole new regime in there.
And I think that when it comes to, you know, this team won 31 games last year.
This team easily with the addition of internal growth between Modis
and I think he's going to be like a front runner for MIP.
Norm Powell is going to give you the routine like 18 points per game.
And then Caleb Wilson is just like an enigma in my mind.
And he can be so many things in this league, especially year one.
I think that this team can give you like at least like maybe 38 wins, maybe 40 wins,
like 40, 41 mid wins or something like that.
Back to mid, but a mid that we like long term.
Good mid, fun mid.
I can expect hella lobs.
I can affect like, like, hell of like fast break points.
And that's it.
That's why they're fun.
Fun mid.
That's the goal they had this season was to be fun mid.
We knew they still have an addiction to mid.
They haven't quite shook that shit yet.
But it's going to be fun mid that can eventually be better instead of the bad, stale mid they've been for three years.
Yeah.
Like, of course there's going to be growing pains for a team like this.
But, yo, like the growing pain sometimes will make this team fun because you don't expect anything crazy.
You don't have any high expectation for elite level basketball?
You think it's going to be like the hornets last year?
No.
No.
No. Not yet. Not yet.
I don't think any other players are like ass polished offensively and have like crazy skills like Con Cinniple and Brandon Miller's athleticism and all that.
Lamello Ball is doing crazy shit.
Last team is division, the Indiana Pacers.
Get back. That's how you describe it. Revenge. Return.
Halliburton. That's all that matters, literally.
The comeback. That's all it is. We had a gap year.
Now this is what happens after a gap year. You come back and you get back to the level you're at before.
Hopefully the level you're at in that second half of the season that led to obviously the finals run, but that for an entire season.
be a top three seed now that you have a better center in Zubach, Alburn coming back, everybody
around him had the year to get more touches and hopefully polish their game even more.
Hopefully it's the best version of yourself now.
Yeah.
The only thing that sucks from this past season is like whenever teams do have like filler years
and shit, they do like have one or maybe two random role players who break onto the scene.
Yotas patients ain't have none of that app, bro.
The best thing that, the best takeaway that they could have is like, you know, shout
it to Johnny Furfian is rebounding.
that's it why are they
whoever made this tweet why are they assuming
Kelly Uber he starts over knee Smith
they don't know ball
that's ridiculous
they don't know about demon naysmith
they don't they don't they don't
they don't remember that playoff run
the fear he struck in Donovan's heart
wasn't like Prime Ray Allen out there
that was crazy
but other than that yeah we know what is up with them
they're just trying to get back to what they were before
comeback is the story of their next year
yeah
next division
Pacific Division
what is one word to describe
the Golden State Warriors
going to this next year,
still pursuing LeBron James.
We don't know where that goes.
But as of now,
they pretty much just added Yoxel.
They lost Quim Post to the Grizzlies.
They chose not to match
as $10 million offer sheet.
No.
Earth's shaking.
They retain K.P.
They retain Al Horford.
Jimmy Bullitt would back
come January,
presumably, unless they trade him for Anthony Davis,
which doesn't seem like that's going to happen right now,
but we know they're still pursuing it.
Without LeBron, assuming it doesn't happen.
How do you describe them going to the future?
Aking.
Aking.
Okay.
I don't as a
arthritis
yeah as the
the players on the actual team
they are obviously very old
this front office
hasn't shown the best ability
of drafting like year and year out
or finding gems that are going to be here
like for years and years and be
legitimate playoff guys
so I think that they're
they're in a spot where you're coming to the end
of the Curry era
you had the
you know you were flirting around
with trading draymond at the deadline last year
it kind of just sucks and
hurts a little bit to see this
version of the Warriors
kind of kind of whimper out and I think also
a lot of these guys are just going to be aching
yeah I would describe it as like just holding on
wait no bomb is on this team
I guess so
fuck all right
definitely not the starting center but yeah these random
ass tweets about potential lines
we would just yap at this time of year
what are you talking about
I promise you have something
the starting line of.
Yeah.
Will Richard,
Draymond,
Mo Bomba.
What are we talking about?
Yeah.
I didn't know the words
were this down bad.
Get this on my screen.
It was an idiot.
My word is cranky.
Yo,
if they don't get LeBron,
bro,
it's going to be,
the vibe is going to be so,
like, awkward
because it's like,
damn,
we got stuff at,
what,
age 39 now,
which is crazy?
probably.
God damn.
And then you got
Draymond,
still trying to do
Dremon things.
Yaxel's going to be good.
But outside of that,
like,
Just hope and pray Jimmy's ACL is good by the time, I don't know, March comes around.
But in between then, you're going to be, like, twiddling your fingers and trying to survive in the West.
Have they flown too close to LeBron's son where, like, Dremont's on podcast?
Do we have reports from Shams that he's going to meet with him this week, whatever that's worth?
Like, they're pretty all in on LeBron James.
They're having lunch.
Dreyfrey did he.
They're having lunch.
Dremont took a pay cut and it was reported by Shams as a pay cut to pursue LeBron James.
That's no coincidence.
I wonder who told him to report it that way.
Like, they've made themselves abundantly clear that we want LeBron James.
That's how we're going out.
We're going out as an achy team.
That's the most achy ever because we have the oldest team with the best old player ever.
That's our identity.
If they don't get him, they're just an achy team without the best old player ever.
And it's just kind of mid.
Are they sending their fans out to be very upset next year?
A hundred percent.
Yeah.
Is that going to be a mistake?
No, because I don't think it's going to be a mistake.
Because I do think there's a part of the fan base that's like, man, we don't need
LeBron anyways.
Yeah.
And they'll latch on to the idea of Steph and all the other old guys, you know,
piecing it together by themselves and Jimmy coming back in the second half of the year.
So they're probably fine on that front.
But they probably did do a bit much specifically, Dremont probably did a little bit too
much because if they don't get LeBron and you declined that option.
Well, they'll probably pay him.
Hey, man.
If they don't get it, they'll probably just give him the same amount of money.
You owe me $15 million.
That's not being at that point.
It's a big swing and a miss for sure.
Maybe it's a hit, though.
We don't know.
We don't know.
Six days from now he could be a warrior.
We still really don't know.
Los Angeles Clippers.
Signed Rui Hachamora.
Trade Kowai Leonard.
Rip the bandit off of this era
before their aspiration scandal,
punishment can come down.
Now they have a projected lineup.
Darius Garland.
Keen Wagler.
Brandon Ingram,
Rui Hachimor,
Brooke Lopez,
not grabbing a single rebound.
Reinvigorated.
In what way?
I think it might be the opposite of reinvigorated.
Really?
What the hell?
You feel reinvigorated by this picture?
They had Kauai.
I feel put the sleep.
They had Kauai, Paul George, and James Harder on the roster a year and a half ago.
And now they have a new lease on life with Garland, with a young back court and guys to fill the, and guys to fill the starting line of with.
When I hear reinvigorated, I think, like, I'm enjoying myself in the present.
I'm alive again.
And I think they set themselves out to be alive again in a few years.
This team sucks shit.
This sucks.
I don't want to watch this.
When you are an addict.
Okay.
Tell me about it.
And you are trying to get sober.
Day one of being sober may not be the best day of your life.
But you know that you have to do that in order to get to a spot where five years down the line, you can have your medal.
You can go to the meetings and be like, listen, I turn my life around.
And that's the time where it's good.
They are day one out.
All the guys who are five.
You're sober listening to it like thought it was my man bro. They're crying right now. It's
me. It's a new lease on life. They're re-invigorated. You're not going to feel the effects now, but you will later. Okay. And that's what the clippers are. That's the word is recovery. We're on the path. Okay. There you go. Good point. You have to have the first month of withdrawals and it's not going to be a fun time. You're going to want to relapse. You're going to have to hold you down. You're going to be good eventually. But it's going to suck watching Rui and Brooke Lopez grab no rebounds.
Oh, yeah. They're itching to sign DeMard Dorosin right now.
they really are
Damar
yeah this will not be a fun team
at all in year one
but there is hope for the future
now that you got the first round picks
for Kauai
you have the Waggler
Darius Garland back court
if you keep them both long term
we'll see
there's avenues to get more picks
I'm sure they kind of signed
Rui to eventually flip them
at the deadline
get more picks
use that cap space
in a strategic way long term
they're definitely making good
you should feel good
if very Clippers fan
but also
be prepared to watch
some stinky basketball
next year
yeah they're winning 35 games
next year I think
for sure
I'll be shocked
if they're
crack like 43 wins.
Yeah, I don't think
it's gonna be a great team.
Yeah.
But maybe they still
make moves and maybe we change our minds.
But I hope they don't.
I hope they continue to be a bad team
and they just...
Actually, they don't have
control next year, do they?
They do not.
So actually, it doesn't matter.
You know they don't.
It doesn't matter
what happens to them really.
So do what you want.
That clipper wall
going look fake as fuck next year.
They're going to have plants in there.
They're going to have you in there.
They're going to have you in there.
Hell yeah.
Los Angeles Lakers,
long word to describe their future.
They paid you would you go?
Hell yeah.
Hey man, there's a price of everything.
I'm not going to watch.
What's the price for you today to let's assume right now we're talking, imagine yourself
in November.
They call you and say we need you.
We know you're a loud guy.
They just for some reason assume that of you.
We know you can scream at a game.
You can bring the energy.
We want you to fly to Los Angeles tomorrow morning, 6 a.m.
Flight.
Come watch Clippers versus Kings.
Just for one game?
One game and scream every time Brandon Ingram shoes a mid-range bucket.
Oh, give me 5K.
Damn 5K?
His rates are OD.
He's expensive.
5K and the travel and expenses cover for.
I'll yell.
Let's go clubbred.
That did sound like a condor.
That sounds like a condor.
He sounds very bird-likeing that.
Yeah.
You got to give me like a halftime show performance.
For 5K out of me.
That's ridiculous.
You are getting paid more than the halftime.
Yeah, they're going to make you fucking shake ass on the halftime court.
Shake ass, like, do a meet and greet.
Like, I need so much more shit for a 5K, bro.
do whatever.
You need your $500.
If they're paying for the flight,
you can get $500.
Nah, I know my friend.
Hey, man, we talked about this on a recent pod.
My price is my price.
You're going to have to negotiate me down.
So they're on the path of recovery.
Long line is 700.
700.
Yes.
One word to describe the Lakers' future.
After bringing in Walker Kessler,
exacting.
White.
White.
White.
gamble they're gambling
I think it's a good gamble
I think it's a solid hand
I don't know I don't know poker references
whatever it is I think it's a solid hand
it's not a clear cut I'm gonna win
everybody fold but it's a good hand
but it's definitely a gamble
and that gamble and my good hand
I'm talking about is Walker Kessler
who obviously their entire future kind of depends on
and that's a strange place to be right
where I tell you the future of
the most prestigious organization
in basketball
rise on Walker Kessler
The guy from Georgia, some random dude from Georgia.
Some random center from the jazz that most people would just, most average fans would think about as just some random big man that $32 million for a guy I've never heard of.
What the hell?
But I do think Walker Kessler is like a potentially elite at minimum very good center waiting to be on a great team that can maximize his value and make it so he's worth $32 million.
I think it's a good bet that that does happen.
And he is everything they hope they can be.
And they do have this big three of white stars that kind of carry their team.
I think it is a good bet at its core.
And if those three work, being Luca, Reeves, Walker Kessler,
all the other margin stuff we're talking about
that they didn't get great value for,
matters a whole lot less if you do have three guys
that can have like almost all-star caliber production.
But that's the whole gamble.
It's do these three white guys fit together?
If not, we're going to have to mix some shit up seriously.
If I didn't know any context about Walker Kessler at all
and I was just like a casual fan, I'd be like, wow, bro.
I'd be pissed because all these years, Rob Pinck,
you telling me we're saving our pigs,
giving our picks.
This for Walker Kessler, pretty much, and that's it, that fucking reeks.
Now, of course, like, reading between lines and knowing the ceiling of Walker Kessler
and knowing also how he's been somewhat injury upon over these last, well, specifically
last year, I am still optimistic about him being, like, a top 10 center in this league,
which I still think is in the cards for him.
But, hell, man, like, it's going to be weird seeing pretty much their entire roster
over the course of the last two years just be flipped on it.
said with no LeBron there and Austin Reeves being the long tenure dude there and the guy all the
guys who pretty much won them the first round series last year just gone they're not here and now
you're building a new culture a new identity and it's like you're fully buying for buying in for
the first time into the new lucidantus led era that's so my least favorite talking point i see on
Twitter nonstop it's the first time we've seen a whole starting line that want to playoff
series leave what are they doing that sentence is true to not speak of the context
of why that team had to be the starting lineup.
And to act like it's actually losing your five best players,
people are treating it as like more,
it's a cool fun fact,
but people are treating it like as actually a sign of malpractice.
No.
Luke and Reeds are still here.
That team only want to playoff series
because the Rockets were also injured and incompetent.
Like, for me, it's just rare to see.
It's just rare to see in general.
Definitely.
For a team that's still going to be good.
They still might win the same exact amount of games
from last year to this year.
It's just rare to see.
Like, you only see these type of teams
pretty much, quote, blow it up.
if you are like in the hard to reset like the Memphis Grizzers or something like that.
Yeah. Which are not.
Very rare circumstance to be a team in this position to like be so all in a player like Walker Kessler
who is coming into his fifth year coming off his rookie contract, very promising, but hasn't put
together a season where you look at him and see All-Star, but there is plenty of reasons to think
that is still there.
Strange timeline for a player.
I can't remember last time we saw a player have this important of a role for such an important
team being so unproven but having so many great reasons to believe in him very very rare
mixture of all those factors i think yeah it's a it's kind of like kpish to the celtics a little
bit where they they make like you make that that gamble and it's like hey he's never like he's
never available he's never here but obviously the shooting is super tantalizing his ability to be a
room protector was very uh very high and then once you get into into the playoffs specifically in
the finals i mean they made the finals
even without him there for a couple rounds
and then you get there and you see like the actual
full version of it and it's like wow
this is this is crazy
that's kind of the last time where I feel like going
into a season
you had this
this kind of like divide
between yeah between
you know what a specific team thought
and what the fans thought
but even then like so that that is
that might be the best comparison in terms of championship
caliber teams yeah but they're so different
because like teams that matter
how many times it's like yeah we're going to go poach this dude off of this tanking team that for all the reason that you said he's he's the one that really doesn't really happen at 24 years old too to be our kind of erin-gordonish but it's as if aaron gordon had to be like the jama murray of that team where he's like the important guy next to him because you just don't see this where guys get poached after the rookie contract when they showed this much promise restricted free agency exists for that reason that's the reason you don't see this like you used to see that happen all the time you know famously shack leaves after his rookie contract now we're restricted free agency exists
see makes it very, very rare to see a player that shows anything changed teams after year four.
So in that regard, it's more promising than people think because he's a player that probably
shouldn't have changed teams, but the Jazz were in a unique scenario because they traded for
Jaron.
They had like a slight money crunch that it made sense to, you know, sell high and get those two picks.
Good gamble still, but I go back to it.
I think it's a very good gamble for Lakers.
Yeah, she can go bad real quick though, man.
Real fast.
I guess would you say the team got more athletic on baseball?
Do you want me to assume they get Kaminka?
Assume they don't get
comminga. Do I assume they're replacing
with another player in that style? I don't
get him, they're probably going to trade for someone
like a Derek Jones or whatever. They get
somewhat athletic wing that's not Kaminga?
Yes. Yes. I think
Quinn Grimes plus insert athletic wing
that's Kaminga or otherwise is a
slightly more athletic team. But I do
think they got
they got a better offensively too
overall, which is strange to say because they lost
LeBron James. Yeah. But I think people are
sleeping on the offensive fit of all these guys.
Yeah, very true.
So, like, the shooting, ball handling, and athleticism combination is better.
Yeah.
Okay.
So what's the ceiling for this team?
And then what's the best case scenario and also worst case scenario to you?
Best case scenario, number one offense in the league and number 15 defense because
Walker Kessler, actually, let's say like, let me say, best case scenario is Walker
Kessler kind of is that first team all defense level defender that we know we can be.
And he kind of like, we jokingly say, can you be white, redigo bear?
Let's say he like is a die, Ridigal Bear.
He won't be one of the greatest defenders of all time,
because that's just a high bar to say for anybody.
That's like asking Anthony Simons to be Steph Curry.
Like you can't be Ridicobar just like that, right?
But let's say he's like the next tier of that type of player.
Maybe he is a guy that can carry a top defense by himself
and he's on the court.
And he moves.
He won't be on the court all the time,
so they won't be a top 10 defense because he can't play 40 minutes.
But let's say they do defend at the top 10 level when he's playing his minutes,
and that makes him be the 14th best defense in the league
because they, you know, trade for another wing defender or whatever.
That's best case in here.
is that he is DPOI level.
They have the best offense in the league,
and he carries them to mid-level defense.
Now, they're probably more realistic
to be like the 20th best defense.
Okay.
14th is, that's a wishful thing.
And that's asking him to literally be DPOI.
I have no reason to think that will happen.
Could, probably won't.
Worst case scenario is this is the fifth best offense.
They're pretty good, not the best.
And the defense is like 24th because they signed Kaminga
and he brings athleticism,
but he still is the same old lazy offball defender he ever was.
was and Kaminka, I mean, Kessler is a good defender, but he's not Gobert and he can't
plug all these holes and everybody's getting attacked and it's just a kind of middling seven
seed. Actually, no, that's too harsh. Middling six seed. Yeah, I was going to say the same
thing. I think one thing that I do miss the most when it comes to someone like Marcus Smart and
their wing defenders right now that they have is that they don't have any like communicators
or strong communicators. Obviously, the bond has been that for his entire career or whatever. But
Marcus Smart was so good at that shit and just calling out certain places.
playing players to get over screens,
agents switching and all that.
And obviously, like,
JJ Redding has so,
he's a brainiac and he does a lot of that too.
But having a player on the court like that,
who actually, like,
can tie up their bootstraps and do shit themselves,
they're going to miss that a lot.
And that fucking sucks.
Yeah.
Come on, Lune.
Here we go.
Veteran leadership at one of the backup centers.
Lob catcher.
God.
I think they both catch a lot before.
Come on,
Looney.
Probably.
If you train me for, like,
if I have NBA training for two solid months,
yeah,
these West Averings.
genetics and go dumb.
I swear to God,
I can catch a lot.
You don't have the injuries he has?
But,
you know,
he's like,
I do think one thing
that's being slept on
is...
Can you dunk her now,
Mo?
No, absolutely not.
Have you ever been able to dunk?
I dunk,
yeah,
like maybe when I was,
like, 22 or something like that.
It was like,
fucking four or five years ago.
But it was never,
like, clean dunks,
though.
It always, like,
bounce around the rim.
I never got it actually clean.
Okay.
What about you, B,
B, sos?
Hell, no.
People are sleeping on how much his team is built in JJ Redick's vision.
It's talked a lot about how it's a lake of Luka team, which it is, which is good and gives him a high floor, I think.
Walker Kessler and Kavana, two elite offensive rebounders, a trend we're seeing.
No, JJ Redick loves Joe Missoula.
He wants to be this analytic Missoula ball type guy clearly.
They focus on offensive rebounds.
Now we have two centers like an offensive rebound.
When the Celtics were at their best in 2024, they had a high three-point rate and played four guys that could attack a closeout.
Luca, Reeves, Grimes, Kamika, potentially.
those four guys can all attack a close out
get threes up like it is a very
analytically driven roster now
and like I think
they also have guys that the average fan
doesn't know about we talk about Kessler
the average fan doesn't know who the fuck
Mamu is who is a Sandro guy that we're giving
14 million dollars with a terrible deal
I think he's better than Ruby Hachamora
okay
in terms of the
of the vision of JJ
and like he is
super online
how how quickly do you think
he rolls out the all white lineup.
Just to see it?
Yeah.
Put La Ravia out there for Gras and the first sub of the season.
First up of the season.
First up, okay.
Yeah, six minutes into the first game.
Yeah, I think it's a pretty good team.
I think it could be the three or four seed.
I'm not as doom and glooms everybody else is,
but there's a lot of gambles to be had.
So one word to describe them, gambling.
We will see.
Rapid Fire, Donovan, what is one word to describe the Sacramento Kings?
Stay right there.
cares who cares all right cool so next team acoff that's one word it's the only thing that matters
what is one word to describe the phoenix suns spartans spartans okay yeah they're just getting all the
michigan state guys have been here now what miles bridges and who else miles bridges uh matt isbis
is a michigan state guy there's a lot of dudes in their front office really was michigan state i think
is their head coach a michigan state guy too i think he is jordan ot is i believe so
I didn't know that.
That's funny.
If I took me on that.
I will.
I don't know what to think of this team.
They're like just the same team.
Yeah, he is too.
Or Manish is kind of crazy.
I think the Suns are just continuing to try water.
We saw what they did last year.
They try to get all these good players on bargain deals
and try to like be relevant in the situation
they're right without their pick control.
They're not going to have some like stamped young core.
We know what they got to do.
They got to build from the middle and try to be respectful.
They kind of just continue that.
The vision remains clear and they pursue that vision.
So I would say the one word to describe them
for the next year is consistent.
I hope.
That is the absolute hope.
To be consistent.
I don't know if it'll be like consistently good,
but they are consistent in their vision.
They're going to trade too many picks and it won't be smart.
Trading a 233 pick unprotected from Miles Bridges is not smart at all.
Dumb as far.
I would say, yeah, I would say it's fucking blatantly stupid in some regard.
But that's their vision is to try to be as respectable as possible in spite of what we
might perceive as pick value.
So at least they are consistent and I can say I don't think it's a good move,
but at least it aligns with everything else you've done.
They just have like a bunch of,
mad players. Miles Bridges is just very
mad within himself. Jalen Green, bro, he had
so many injuries last year. I think he played with like 30
games or something like that. And when he was
on the court, he was never able to really put it together
consistently. He did have moments. Jalen Green will
definitely have moments throughout his entire, like, every single year. But
that's all you can really say about this team. Yep. The other
moments. Yeah. Respectable team.
He's what I don't know what we're talking about with the Michigan stuff.
Sons owner Matt H. M.S. G.O. is an alum. Sons G.
is a assistant coach there or was
Sun's head coached or not was an assistant coach
Mattine Cleves was an alumni
sons forward Miles Bridges played there
he's disgusting
yeah
yeah if I ever need it I'm gonna keep it rolling
if I'm in need of a job bra I ain't go I'm enrolling to Michigan State
hell yeah
you're going back to school
go back to school just like by the sons
yeah just have a chance
for like maybe psychology or some
In five years, I'm good.
What is his Nathan Felder plot?
The plan.
Get a four-year engineering degree
at Michigan State to be employed
as a water boy for the Phoenix Suns.
Hey, man.
That's consistent money right there.
Atlantic Division.
I don't think it is.
Nope, it's not at all actually.
They bet you seasonally.
Almost nothing in sports is consistent money.
In any way.
Atlantic Division.
Be Sol's, what is one word to describe
the future of,
of the Boston Celtics?
Cooked?
All right.
Good.
I'm kidding.
I'm kidding.
Let me see.
What they're nice, though?
I think debatable right now if they're cooked or not to some people.
Yeah, definitely.
I know it's not one word.
New era.
New era.
Is it new era?
You think the signifier of the duo,
the duo breaking up is a whole new era to you?
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I think, you know, that 24 team is completely dismanting.
You know what I'm saying?
Drew's not walking through them doors.
K.P.'s not walking through them doors.
J.B.'s not walking through them doors.
With Lacher being a gapier and now being this new era.
So is this like just the pivot?
Yeah.
Okay.
The pivot.
Yeah, I think I think this is the first time where Jason Tatum is clearly by far, no doubt, the best player on the team.
So we'll see what that guy's made of, man.
So you had doubts before?
I didn't.
Everyone else did.
Everyone else did.
You said it.
You said it.
You don't always believe in so.
No, everyone else did, man.
Okay.
It was never a discussion.
So it's the pivot to a new era after a gap year.
It's controversial, to say the least.
Yes.
Yeah.
How do you feel about it?
What to 10?
I'm not going to lie, man.
I've been reading a lot of these analytics conversations lately.
I'm kind of buying into the new vision, man.
I think we are a better team than what we were last year.
I think you should buy into the vision.
I think time will tell if Jaylon Brown trading him was a mistake.
but I think you should be happy about the vision of what they're building.
Yeah, and also the reasoning of, like, literally,
you can't really build a championship roster with two Supermax players.
I think that's just the reality of the NBA nowadays.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, it's a hard pill to swallow,
and obviously it was hard to move off of Jalen Brown
because of what he's meant to the team,
hell even like the Boston community.
But, yeah, I mean, it's just the reality of building like a long championship window.
Fair.
Donovan, what is one word to describe the New York Knicks's future?
Dynasty.
All right, man.
I guess I can't disagree.
What's wrong with this guy?
I mean, factually, they are in step one of being a dynasty, and they haven't failed
at step two yet.
So for the time being, they are on dynasty trajectory in a literal sense.
What do I have to happen in order for y'all to be like a dynasty?
Like, real, real, really.
Life just has to go on.
Do it again?
Does you do it again?
Bro.
My man had a...
broken wrist on his shooting hand and was getting better and better every single game.
I think legitimately, if they do find, like, and we'll see what the, we'll see what the team
looks like in the first half of next year.
We'll see what the bench looks like again, because that was the biggest difference
in the, in your one of Mike Brown versus Tibbs is that obviously you have a bench and you
will use it.
But if your bench consists of three small guards, Mo DiOarro, who still has to break out and
Knicks fans are obviously like very excited about the possibility of it but that's not a given or
anything and Andre Drummond okay like can like is the defense going to be able to to hold up
for 48 minutes tonight I'm not sure so if there's going to have to be something that they
look to at the deadline to go get another center to go to make another move to make sure that
the defense is like solidified that's going to be the thing that I'm watching to actually
really really make sure that they are like tier one condition.
tenders throughout throughout the year and make that they you know are on track to be a dynasty.
That Jalen Brunson pay cut is going to extend like your championship window so long, I feel like.
Not only extend it, it like created it.
Yeah.
It did.
Yeah, I feel like for the next couple of years, the Mehta's going to be either like a Knicks type roster
where the superstar takes a pay cut, which is unlikely, especially after what Donovan Mitchell
just went through.
Or it's the young teams that have like a bunch of contracts that are very high value.
relative to their performance.
Definitely.
Something that went y'all away
that's like I feel like no one talks about enough
is y'all are absurdly healthy this year too
which plays into every single
like championship run that we do see.
And if someone like a Mo DRDR does pop out next year
that does help aid and your chances to
I guess become a dynasty.
And part of that is lucky.
Also, I mean they just did just kind of invest in healthy players.
Like OGs had helped stuff over the years.
McKill, Kat and Brunson are Ironmen.
Mm-hmm.
So smart investments there.
Yeah.
And also health, like, again, he had a broken wrist.
Come on out.
Did he not?
Did he not just get surgery?
Was it a broken wrist?
I know he got surgery on it, but was it like...
The thing was shattered.
It didn't work.
Yeah, it was just fractures.
It's making stories.
Still.
Yeah.
A broken wrist.
Find his MVP 45 and close out game on the road to be, you know,
the presumed best player in the world.
Okay.
Mo, what is one word to describe the 76ers future?
Ooh.
One word for the...
Go, man.
They trade for Jaylon Brown.
Extend their like, actually, how do I phrase this?
Give themselves like a win-now window that I think didn't exist before?
Yeah.
I think one word to describe them right now, at least when it comes to their roster.
Construction as we speak is crowded.
They have so many mouths to feed.
You got, bro, you have Jaylen Brown now.
Tyrese Max.
He's like continuously ascending.
Vijay, I guess it's kind of not necessarily sucks for him.
I guess it relieves a lot of pressure.
him to be like the next guy upcoming to be like a star shooting guard that's the expectation for him and now
his role is like a little bit um he got demoted a little bit naturally when you have some legend
welcome with your team and then you drafted le baron phylon which is i think expect him to be a good
productive player but i don't know if he's going to matter as much year one then you got an
and fray simmons as well on a good cheap bargain contract they just have a lot of overlapping skill
sets and not necessarily a lot of connectivity there so my word for them is definitely
crowded and there's going to be a lot of like mental gymnastics from their head coach to get over
some of the lapses that they do have skill-wise.
I think, yeah, another word to describe that would be unbalanced, I think.
It's a pretty top heavy roster.
It's pretty scoring heavy roster.
Not to say that it's bad inherently because they still have the ability to round out the edges
and like do a good job coaching-wise to like bring out complimentary lineups.
But it's the same thing I said when they made the trade for Jalen Brown.
Very good business to get off Paul Georgie at Jalen Brown as a move and the use very refined
sense of just looking at
with just this move on paper,
great move.
Can't be mad at it.
Zooming out,
looking at the team construction
now, I don't like
as much as some people do.
But the simple fact that their best
defender is Dean Wade,
their second best defender,
I guess is Jalen Brown.
You don't want Jalen Brown
to be your second best defender.
He can be your fourth and fifth
and you have a very good lineup
like you'd see in the Celtics
where he was one of the worst defenders
in the lineup and very good in that role.
Him being your primary wing defender,
tough.
I guess I hope BVJ can be that over him.
We'll see if he develops there.
And passing while,
shit, he might be your second best pastor.
Best two-way player, though, man.
Yeah, I guess so.
No, actually, the second-best player is second-best
pastures Joel in Bede.
But nevertheless, the passing
of defensive talent doesn't scream
I can win a championship this year to me.
Yeah.
Yo, I know Dean Wade just signed
a new contract.
He got to apply for overtime.
What do you mean?
I mean, he just got to guard everybody now.
Yeah, it really is tough for him.
And, like, you're looking at this roster.
at least he had Sam Merrill in Cleveland too
he by himself now
Justin Edwards
I guess the whole Vijay Edgecombe needs to be
Derek White and develop into that plate top
he needs to be a tenacious defender that like focuses there
if he can be like I don't know if I should use the word elite
because maybe that's unfair
but fuck that if he can be an elite defender
it could work he can be he's so special
because he can literally be anything that he fucking wants to be
and if he wants to be an elite defender and not a main scorer
then it could work yeah
that's not a given I think
I think it'll be a very good defense
I have no doubts in his ability to contribute.
Like the Clay Thompson line of defense where he's like obviously like very good
but probably not like all defense level.
At least he needs to be that.
Yeah.
At least.
And if he can be all defense, then I'm moved.
But like that's again, a high bar to ask of any young player to become that.
Especially one that he's, this isn't Dyson Daniels as a draft prospect.
You know, he's not known for his defense in that regard.
So we'll see.
It's going to be a good team for sure.
If it can be a great team comes down to, can they find balance in the rest of this
off season.
Are they going to pass the second round?
they could but they also couldn't
I think that can go either way
depending on the matchup
yeah I would probably bet that they do get
past the second round
if they're a top
I don't know
I don't know
I wouldn't bet they do
right now no
I wouldn't bet they do
make the conference finals
but I won't be shocked
if you tell me they did
oh my bad I'm meant to say
the first round for sure
if they're top
two three seed
I think I'd probably bet
second round exit
as the most likely outcome
but I can see conference finals
they used to so
there's so much parody there
that I can't write them off
yeah they got thrown
literally
a fucking
lifeline
lifeline literally
with the
the gentleman brown trade and this gives them way more opportunity to be more interesting in whatever
regards and it's better than what they used to be yeah so they're over under right now is 46 and a half
wins which they went over by they hit 47 wins they would have been the five seat okay this this
past year i i i don't think that they're making the the conference finals especially if like
the plan for them honestly has to be
some weird, like, because of Embedd's health,
has to be some crazy, just off the wall, low management of like,
Embed, you're going to play the first two games of the first round.
We're not going to play for the rest of the series.
We're going to try and get through the second round without you,
and then you will play in the conference finals.
That's going to have to be the path and the thinking that they have to go through
in order to try and fulfill their championship aspirations.
Yeah.
Because he's not playing two months in a row of playoff basketball.
It's not happening.
Yeah.
And the most realistic way for them become a championship team, I think, would be to somehow backdoor him.
But no one's taking that contract on.
Yeah.
It's impossible.
Two years?
In two years?
Sure.
But that's a long time from now.
A cuff and B.
What?
What?
Okay.
Salute.
Toronto Raptors, what's one word to talk about their future?
Reunited.
Reunited, yeah.
Coi Islander comes home six years later.
Ideally, who would have never left?
But we're back now.
It's better late than never.
Hopefully, his recent health is a sign of what's to come,
and you're getting him in a spot where you can feel good about him
and he can give you much of what he gave me in 2019.
He's not that different of a player quality-wise,
but the reliability factor is very different now.
But nevertheless, you've been reunited.
Yeah.
I think now in my mind they're evolved and now they're a very interesting team in the east.
They got off of the Brandon Ingram whole conundrum and they have Kauai now.
And I think even if he can be like 75% of what he was,
I think that's all Scottie Barnes needs to continue to elevate and like be a top of team player,
which I fully believe he will be next season.
And then you got Collar Murray Boyles, R.J. Bear, who does all the random things offensively,
which is valuable.
He can barrel into guys and all that.
and he can help like load manage
Kawhi Leonard
Get barrel into guys
Yeah
do some interesting things
here and there
So I wouldn't call Brandon Ingraham
A conundrum
But conundrum implies
There's a debate
On how to handle a problem
Oh, you're mean
There was no debate
He wasn't good enough in that role
And he needed a quiet Leonard
They needed an upgrade
So I would say they got out of a problem
The solution was clear
And they found it
Which is good for them
I'm not saying to say
Brandon Ingram like sucks or anything
I'm saying to say there was one clear
He sucks to say that
He wasn't good on the scene
going to say perform well, but like the point is there was one clear issue was that Brandon Ingram
as your main shot creator was not good enough. There was no debate on what to do with that
information. He was not good enough and you need to upgrade to that spot if you want to have aspirations
of being the version of this team you believe you could be. Kauai is the single most perfect
upgrade stylistically to play the same basketball you just played but have a guy that is good
enough. You really can ask for a better solution there. Yeah. Like this guy, if you're a Raptors
fan, you're on Cloud fucking nine. Like this is just perfect in like every way
storyline wise, fit wise, emotionally, logically, like, it's kind of just awesome.
Now you just got to figure out a way to backdoor Yacapurto and you're straight.
No, you don't got to back door him.
Push him through the front door.
Toss him out the window.
Whatever, man.
Get him out the pain immediately.
We can make this shit blatant.
You got to know he's out.
Yeah, they got to upgrade the center position or the point guard position or ideally both.
If they do that, I joked, not even joke, but like fan fiction.
it when the trade happened, if they can find a way to get Drew Holiday, I'll be so moved by
this team. I think if they get Drew Holiday, which no reason to say that will happen, I've
seen zero ports. That's just my fan theory. If they got Drew Holiday to pair with those two stars,
three seed. Good writing, though. It's good writing. Three seed. Okay.
Honestly, if I was them, I would give up a pick for Jew Holiday 100%. Oh,
easily. Now the question is like, will it be multiple picks because that Yacob contract sucks.
The quickly contract kind of sucks. It might be pretty expensive. You just give up two for
Kawhai?
Yeah, they won't have it
because they have so many bigs already too
So it's like, you're going to have to give them multiple bics
Yeah, so it's pretty complicated in reality
Because those contracts are pretty undesirable
But they somehow got it done
Somehow got an average senator to replace Yaakov
Yeah, three seed.
We'll see.
Well, it's one word to describe the Brooklyn Nets future
They just bring in
McHale Brown Jr.
To pair with Yeager Demon
Who I'm incredibly moved by right now.
Have you guys been seeing
Yager Demen on TikTok?
On TikTok, no.
Why?
I saw you sent one tweet in the chat
And that's the most I've seen in him right now.
Jeremy Kanish.
He's online a lot.
Getting fits off.
Oara farming.
Yo,
Brooklyn changed that, man, for sure.
Definitely did.
He's online.
Kind of a fuck boy,
but like,
but like wholesome.
I'm just saying he's sexy.
That's it.
No,
but I'll get to that.
But he's like,
his persona,
he has his persona of like
just like New York fashion guy now
where it's like
douchebag adjacent,
but it's wholesome.
So it's kind of just like cool
and maybe has taste.
He's so tough.
He's getting a little tough.
Somebody asked him.
So he posted a fit check on TikTok.
You can pull it up on Twitter.
I sent in the group chat.
Someone said,
I need you to focus on room pressure
and playmaking first.
He replies to that TikTok comment says,
the aura comes first.
He's so tough.
Fuck.
And guess what?
The aura came first.
He has been getting his fits off.
He hasn't been up in the aura a little bit.
He hasn't gotten in.
The fids are off.
First two summer league games.
The rib pressure is also here.
He's also looking like he's taking a second year leap.
So the online persona is cool.
and he kind of looks nice now in Summer League
the fit between him and McHale Brown Jr.
Looks kind of dope.
He's this big guard that can drive and create
McKill,
McHill Brown Jr. is this Darius Garland-esque
perimeter shooter.
I'm kind of moved by this duo right now.
Hey, he's really addicted to this.
He's posting fit checks in the rain.
Brother, this is what happens.
He's committed to this.
When you go from Utah to Brooklyn, New York,
it's a big difference, bro.
The influence is crazy.
He's embracing the culture.
He looks very, very, very, Brooklyn.
He's fully in.
He got the Henley.
He got the big tote bag on the side.
He's all in.
Okay.
That literally my one word for the Brooklyn Nets is okay, exclamation point, just based
off of summer league.
He looks like one of those players who just doesn't belong to be there and he's just
too entirely good.
He looks nice, bro.
He looks like he put on some weight.
Like he's moving like a talented driver.
Look at his lips, facial hair.
All right.
Look at this.
He's in the rain.
Yeah.
In this shit off.
That's funny.
And we talked about him when we did our like rookie recaps.
And I was going to move up.
He took his shoe.
off in the rain?
When we did our rookie recap, everybody,
he's about this.
I was moved by his rookie season
in that I think his ability
is to be a big wing
that can pass a little bit
and provide great shooting.
I saw the vision of like
a core skill set there
that I don't know if it would be
like a point guard.
I don't know if it would be a good driver
of the ball to create,
but I think a 3 and D guy
that has that level of shooting
and passing moves me a little bit.
I was like cautiously optimistic.
Now that he's driving like this
in Summer League,
that sticks and that development
is there, that's just a great player
that's Gordon Hayward.
I am looking at it right now.
He really think he Marlin, brad.
He Marlin.
He's so tough.
He's getting his shit off.
Tell me he's not tough.
He does look tough.
I'm not going on.
He hasn't got it on?
He got it all.
He keeps dropping his phone.
Yeah, his phone stays sliding.
He's doing it on purpose.
He's an oral farmer.
He's real Gen Z in that way.
Yeah.
He's real Brooklyn.
All right, man.
Listen, man, the nets, we've climbed their rebuild,
drafting five people on one draft class was stupid as fuck.
If this one hits, we like Mikhail Brown Jr.
That duo does something.
You have two veteran forwards there to play off of them
that can give them immediate help.
They don't have no center, but hey, man, fuck it.
Dayron Sharp is also kind of good, though.
He was kind of like...
Is he still on this roster?
Yeah, they paid him to be the starter.
Which, like, he can be better than Claxton, like next year.
A lot of people, including me,
wanted my team to trade for Dayron Sharp,
because he was clearly a starter hidden on the bench.
I can be kind of moved by this team next year.
I don't know why I thought he was like,
he was signed.
Just like making positive,
you know,
trajectory of where they're at.
Not nothing they're going to do anything crazy.
But like,
they have a vision and they can be a decent team
that like has some young pieces
that are coming together.
I doubt because MP Zay and Julius Reynolds
is being like competency and being like just straight up good basketball players.
Forgot he was there.
Yeah.
Like I can envision team,
this team won in like 35 games.
Yeah,
they can be the nine seat or something.
I mean,
not that's too much.
They can be the 11 seat is what I meant to say.
I meant to say one.
Baila lo the play in.
They can be the 11 seed
and be the sneaky team that's
competitive.
We'll make the play in
but they'll be like trying.
I think Julie Fernando's
getting a little underrated
and all this
because he had that
downside.
People were acting like
he's legit garbage.
That could be
the 11 seed that
you're where you want to be
you're not in the relegation zone.
They can be a cute story.
We can't forget,
Georgia Fernandez is one of the best
ex and those coaches in the league.
He's just had to tank in the past.
Like this can be a respectable team.
What a standard is in the gutter.
God,
I mean,
the next thing.
They got a snap from somewhere.
This could be a really good 11 seed?
The fuck is that?
That's good for them.
I do see it though.
The Bucks 11 seed this past year, 32 wins.
They can easily be that.
Yeah, they can get 37 wins next year.
Yeah, and that's good.
I didn't say 40.
37 is still a lot.
I think, I think, Mike, we can't forget what Michael Ford Jr.
was doing the beginning of the season with them.
Like, MPJ and Randall is a high-floor duo if this Demand-Leap is coming, which I think he is good.
Like, I think they can win 37 games.
games. What's your Runder right now?
Like 32 or 31.5?
Let me find it.
And keep in mind, I'm saying 37 as a ceiling here.
I'm not exactly predicting it's going to happen, but they could.
So they don't have a win total for them.
Nobody cares.
Yeah, not for them specifically yet.
But, man, like, you forget the conversations that they were in.
They were completely irrelevant.
They were rolling with like Noah Clowny.
You know, Keon Johnson was an interesting player for them back then.
A lot of people don't even.
remember what that dude looks like.
So it's like they finally have some relevancy.
And McHall Brown Jr. is mad, interesting.
And he does something that's so doing from all these guys.
He has a certain level of athleticism, creation, and passing that none of these guys
necessarily have all into one.
And he's like, honestly, the biggest X factor.
Him and Yeager are Jomon, of course, but biggest X factors.
Yeah.
They've been saying it wrong.
Joman.
I say it wrong all the time.
It is Jomen.
That's the right way to say it.
I realize that yesterday.
Only I'm on Wogner, too.
This is going to be a solid team.
Wagner.
Fogner.
If you're going to respect Joeman, respect Fogner.
I think of Jefferson as well.
This is going to be a solid team.
Terrence, man.
Solid team.
Gosh, my God.
I keep on a reading.
I'm like, yo, this is more quality than I thought.
Okay.
I like this team.
Hey, we put $10.
On the nets to win the East.
How much doing?
4K.
So I put $100.
I make $400,000.
You make $40,000?
$40,000.
Hey, man.
Yo, we got to get this going for real.
No, we don't.
Why not?
We're donating a fucking $100 to Livado.
That's upside.
That's all I heard.
The netter do.
Listen, we go out to eat.
Our bill's easily a $100 minimum.
Let's just eat at the crib one night.
I'll go to build cheese is for us instead of wings.
Listen, I got a pinnini press.
In the name of making $40,000.
I got a pinini press.
get us baloney sandwiches right right all of this is happening because of yagor joman's aura
if it's like that if it's really like that let's see how far we can push the boundaries
if he's going to be a fashion week let's put some money where my mouth is he's going to be a mac galen
next year watch if it's going to be a chrome model let's put some money on exactly we get to the
off season and like we just yap and talk so much let's actually stand on something let's be about that
action for once in our lives listen i'll do it
So I have a little bit of net stock
I will
I will figuratively buy a little bit of net stock
I'm approaching this offseason
for the Brooklyn Nets of optimism
Which if you're a Nets fan watching the show
You probably aren't because you would have stopped watching
Because we'd never seen anything nice
You're one of the few that have stuck around
Finally got a little bit of nice things to say
This is the first time
I've literally ever talked to them since the existence of this show
But this is the most exciting thing has been
Since like 2021 y'all
Minds you're the first week of the season come
And Jomon is still not driving
It was all just summer league bullshit
You'd be like, never mind
It was cool for the summer
This fits for tough
But I do think he's probably going to be good
Next division
Let's fly through one
Let's go to the Southwest
What is one word
To describe the Dallas Maverick summer
I mean future
Oh their future is so weird
They got a new coach in Dusty May
They got a new GM
A size there now
Yeah Morse Johnson Jr. is there too
And he's gonna be a good player
They got oil apparently
according to
oil.
And golf.
Don't forget to golf.
And golf.
I'm going to say redo.
Redue?
Yeah.
They,
and this is really
what this entire
Cooper Flag era feels like.
But the moment you trade away
Luca,
because you're like,
we defense wins championships
and we can win right now.
We don't need him.
And then Cooper Flag
falls in in your lap.
You get an entire new lease on life.
And for them to,
last year,
you fire Jason
kid,
who was involved with that specific decision is gone now and you're actually building out
a team around Cooper Flag.
The mistakes that they made the first time with Luca where you saw that this guy was advancing
and growing into a great player at such a fast rate and you're just throwing stuff at the
wall trying to make stuff stick, trying to build a contender around them, you did it wrong
the first time.
In the same, in like a decade, you have another opportunity where you have a quarter of a
unquote generational prospect that is going to lead your team, you have another chance to do it.
And that's why I think that their future is right now.
It's a redo to try and make up for the sins of the early Luca era.
Yeah.
It just doesn't feel like super duper inspiring, at least going into this next season because I
thought, I assume they're going to get off of Kyrie and be one of the prime, like,
prime teams of potentially trade up in the NBA draft.
And they didn't do that.
They took Marez Johnson, which was like a wild swing.
And it's one of the years where they do have their own draft pick.
So it's like, damn, that's tough.
But who knows, maybe I think they do have their own draft pick over here in 28.
So that's interesting.
That could be productive.
Awesome.
But this feels like very much like a filly year.
And this is just like a Cooper flag, saveless type of year.
Two years from that, it'll be dope and they have their pick again.
Yeah.
Cooper flag is in his prime.
Yeah, exactly.
It's a swapping for, right?
Um, next year, 20-
Is it Charlotte holds a swap over them in 2027?
Yeah, so it says Dallas is 2027 first-arm pick
to Charlotte protected between one through two.
If this picks falls within the protected range
and not conveyed, then Dallas will instead of-
Oh, so Charlotte just has their pick?
Yeah.
Okay.
Wow.
That was one of the swap years.
I think 2029 might be a swap year then for the Hornets,
for the Pige of Washington trade.
It's too much language.
So the Hornets hold the rights.
I mean, the rockets have the right to swap in 2029.
Okay, so they got the swap.
you know these swaps move around a lot of hands
and the spurs have the right to swap in 2030
damn man fuck yeah I know
I'm like I kind of wish you got like a
Kingston Flemings or something like that
that's just ball handler by stuff maybe
maybe Johnson is good maybe it is better to take the
maybe in their eyes guaranteed hit of a defender
rather than like a ball handler
prospect just because he's a ball handler
and Kyrie is good I think I assume
we'll be good enough for the next few years so I keep them offload
so that's okay I guess
one word to describe the Houston Rockets future
they keep Kevin Durant
They bring in Marcus Smart
Red Van Villee comes back
Stephen Adams comes back
Hopefully we see a slightly better vision
Of what the team is supposed to be
Last year before the injuries
Marcus Smart is replacing Dorey Smith
Who was a veteran addition
Defensively they didn't work out
Now you have a guard version
of Doreen Finney Smith in a lot of ways
With more moxie
Moxie Smith is so bad last year
He's absolutely cooked
Thank God Robert Blinko didn't pay him
I know that's one of the smartest moves
He made over the last like three years
We ignore the smart moves though
We only criticize us
Exactly.
Okay, one word for the Rockets.
I think they're not common.
Do or die, really.
Their future is in a very like prove it sense right now.
You get Kevin Durant, you accelerate the timeline.
The year didn't go well.
You could say part of it is because of Kevin Durant because the locker room issues.
That wasn't what made them fail in the playoffs.
He got hurt because he was old and the young guys weren't ready.
And that just is what it is.
We talked like, did they accelerate too fast?
All this stuff like that.
And like, I get it because it didn't work.
they didn't work because the young guys weren't ready.
They have to be ready now.
Because Kevin Ratt's not getting in the younger.
Reverend Vlain Adams, damn sure I'm getting in the younger.
You kind of do have to be the contender you're supposed to be right now
with like very little margin for error.
Yeah.
I think one word for me, you're right, do or die.
Pressure.
More concisely like there, it's a deadline.
I think if this team is somehow ends up being like a fifth or sixth seed by the trade deadline,
I wouldn't say that's a disappointment at all,
but you get KD so you can be.
one of the more dominant teams of the Western Conference
and being a fifth seat, you're not a dominant team
in the West Conference at all. And at that point in time,
I'm gonna continue to say what I've been saying
or the last three months. Trade that man, KD.
Get off him and like truly
be in this new area. You have so many picks regardless.
You have picks tied up between Milwaukee.
I just listed the Dallas Mavericks
and all that too. You have picks everywhere.
Between the, also the Brooklyn Nets two,
if I remember correctly, yeah, picks everywhere.
And that's why honestly I wouldn't trade
KD because they don't have their own pick in 27.
And so I would just like, depending on what you get for Katie, it's there.
But you have Phoenix's unprotected pick.
You have an unprotected Phoenix first round pick next year.
And then you have a swap with Brooklyn next year as well.
The way that the new lottery rules are set up, both of those teams, if they're not the three worst teams in the league, we're buying stock in the nets and the sun's just staying consistent.
Well, that's a great place to be with the new lottery odds.
That's what I'm saying.
Both of those teams are going to be 11, 10, right, in their conference.
they're going to have a very, very good chance
at getting a top top pick in 27.
Yo, now's a bad time to say this
because of how they went out.
You should buy rocket stock.
That's a great place to be pick-wise.
Great place to be.
They'll be better this year
just as long as Adams and Van Vleet
don't get hurt.
What if they don't look the same?
More so like Fred Van Vleet
because he's a holder stockier guard.
He doesn't really got to do a whole lot.
He's kind of just got to be regular.
I think, so when you say it doesn't look great,
that probably means like can't blow by anybody
and create pain touches.
It's like what would you to see?
I mean, he's never really done that.
But what if he's just like unplayable defensively too?
I find that hard to believe that would be the case with his play style and athletic
composition.
But you never know.
Maybe the ACL fuck some.
Then that sucks, right?
And then that just is what it is.
That would just suck.
And that would nuke them and their ability to be what we want them to be.
But they could also trade that salary and bring into the point guard.
That is the case.
Yeah.
He just never, since he's gotten to Houston, he's just been so overtaxed that now, now that
KD is there and
Shangoon is another year older
a man we're trying to push him forward to see
if you can take even more offensive leaps
I don't think
Oh Fred's an expiring this year
You're not yeah you're not gonna ask
Fred to come in and be like hey
Can you can you play really really good defense
And then can you also try and score
15 to 18 points a game?
Yeah who cares he's an expiring
$25 million contract we can trade him so easy
Get another point guard
Yeah they're good
By Houston Rocketstock
Everything is shaping up a quiet
well for them. If you think of men and Shengoon are good and will be what they need in the coming
years, but buy Houston Rockets talk right now. Okay. So I'll say their future, one word, promising.
I just want to get rid of Katie just to like even be more like assing gree. I just don't want him here.
You got to have good players at some point. And if he's not a locker room, Alfeasant, if they don't
hate him, there's no reason to get rid of him. I think they hate him. They clearly don't.
Otherwise he would be traded right now. Memphis Grizzlies is one word to describe them,
Besides girth, which is all we talked about.
It's all you talked about.
Not us.
Don't act like you haven't had the conversations.
You are driving the bus.
I talk to on camera every day and you pretend you don't say things that you say to me in private.
I do not.
That's also true.
That's also true.
One word to describe the grizzlies in this new era, building around Boozer, E.D.
You get Quinn Post.
You get Isaiah Stewart, lots of big men.
No girth.
Besides girth.
The girth is a given.
Tonnage.
Tonage.
Fair.
It is strength, though.
This is a strong team.
Like, they have an identity of being huge and being physical.
And it's promising.
Which honestly, that, that, that's kind of the word is identity of like, like, you, you know, you know really historically what this team has, has often tried to lean into.
But now trading away Jared Jackson Jr. as like, as your big man.
And then trading away John Morant and bringing in all the plays that you brought in this year, it really is like, we are going to just be big.
Those guys are two of the least physical stars in their position.
Exactly.
Yeah.
So, so, yeah, I think identity and the fact that you brought in, you brought in your coach last year because you wanted to try a new style of play, Jai wasn't really on that.
This is, this is the first time in his head coaching career that he's going to have a team that ideally is going to be bought into everything that they're doing.
Yeah.
And can.
Good for that, man.
Yeah.
And can potentially, you know, execute the vision.
That's how you rebuild.
You form my identity right away.
And it's kind of rare to see a team
pick as highly as they did
and immediately like know
what they're going to be doing and have a plan. Usually
teams look into the number one overall pick and they're
like what happens next so we don't know but we're banking
on this guy. Booster guys, he has some help around him.
It helps when a guy like Edie that has so much
promise gets hurt really early on. So you have that
ability to be a bad team but you know he's coming back. Hopefully
we'll see what is. He's a big man. The body's never a given.
You have enough talent in place
that yeah, you're right. It's not
the spot a normal number three team would be in.
Which is fun that that's a given for all top three teams this year.
All the teams at the top were kind of like very close to being competent.
Yeah, that's true.
Interesting year for that.
They're really big.
They're guards.
Tad Jerome is 6-5, such a coward is 6-5.
They're not going to be this line, though.
This is just easy and nonsense.
Even just like at all times, they're going to be one, like, their shortest guy is going to be slightly under 6.5.
But they can always employ four players who are really, really, really tall, really big.
This is good work by them.
And a lot of them can shoot.
They got D-Lo, too.
They did get D-L yesterday.
Hell yeah.
They got more ball handling.
What is one word to describe the future of the New Orleans Pelicans?
How?
New Orleans Pelicans.
One word to describe their future.
Diarrhea.
Just when you think this shit just stops, it just keeps on going and going and going.
You got more to just like release and unload.
Like they didn't even do anything.
And it's just like the situations get shittier and shittier.
Like the most breaking news that's happened for them is like, oh shit,
you signed DeAndre Jordan
and then it's Zion Williams
his 26th birthday. That's it. That's the only thing of
relevance, bro.
Fair enough. Diarrhea for the New Orleans Pelicans.
San Antonio Spurs, one word to describe their future.
Opposite of diarrhea.
High fiber diet.
Regular.
Film. Literally
film. That's it.
I mean,
what the fuck do you say besides like
impending champions potentially?
One of the greatest players of all time?
potentially like they're they're literally do
they're expecting rainbows everything's just beautiful outside
Dylan Harper has to start next year that's one thing that I do know for sure
like I don't think there's I think maybe he starts off the year coming off the bench for
maybe the first 10 15 games or so in the whole entire world
including like this coaching staff realizes holy fuck this guy's a star and if you start
him right now he could be very much in for even with an all-star game I think he's
Whenever I was the last H-O-H trip, that one was a far ball, we ranked the top point guards in the league going in next year.
I'll just give a spoiler for the video.
Oops.
I said that Dylan Harper is going to be the 12th best point guard next year in the league.
Is that Glaze?
Who was that 11 to you remember?
I think Trae Young was 11.
Fox was like 16.
I made sure to put my foot down.
We got to put Fox over.
I'm Harper over Fox.
So yeah, but I said Harper is going to be like, 10 point guards don't make an all-star team.
so it's not guaranteeing he's an all-star but like right behind that tier of like treyon jemma or
whatever like he's gonna be in that mix next year right behind them or in that's fair in that mix whatever
is that crazy to expect him to be in year two no i don't think so i mean obviously we all know like
there's we do glace him and sometimes people can't talk about him like he's old raider or whatever
but he's fucking 19 he does have holes in his game but assuming like he does he does progress and
he does get better even at like jump shooting metrics and numbers he did get better as time goes as time
went on. I expect him to be
around that range. Top 13
14 as Garden League.
Point guard. Yeah. I've been doing
I've been, you know, because we have
ranking season coming up and started to
think about those things. I think
Harper is right there for me as well.
Already right now? Because I'm talking projecting.
Like right now you think he's already there? When we do
our point guard rankings,
like I think I am.
You're projecting towards like next year or
based off a... Well, right now we don't project in our NBA
rankings. But you, some
always does and apparently it's you so be it.
I'm saying even now, even now, like I might
do it. Okay. Even now, I don't know,
but yeah, it's going to be a combo pretty soon.
Northwest Division, Denver Nuggets, one word to
describe their future. Boxed.
They got no moves, man. What can't they do?
Expensive. That's their future right now.
I think it was they're going to pay
like $200 million in luxury tax
as of today. Or like $170, something like that,
something close to $200 million,
assuming they pay Peyton Watson.
Cronkey's a rich owner
And people were like
Are they in the second tax paper?
You what?
Are they in the second tax paper?
Oh yeah.
Damn.
And that's why I presume they're going to dump
Cam Johnson or Christian Brown
but there's reports that they're not going to
and they're just going to pay Payton Watson and eat it.
Respect.
Money spines will see that and be like,
yeah, you're a billionaire, that's what you should pay.
And like that is true.
Like I don't give a fuck.
That's a lot of money to pay for any owner
or for any sports organization.
$170 million of tax that you got to you bet.
That's a lot.
lot to pay it.
I mean, he'll be right.
I don't give a fuck about his pockets, but like,
and just, I just, I can't imagine any team
is doing that. Yeah, it's a lot
to pay, but when you have one of
the greatest players of all time,
and you, if we walked out
if we walked into next season, let's
say midpoint of the year, and they
were like the number one seat, that would be like slightly
surprising, but Jamal and Murray
Yokch at the end of day. I would assume when you pay that
type of money, your team just does not profit for the year.
Like, you're just not a profitable business
as an organization. Like, the Denver Nuggets
will,
lose Cronky money this year, I think, if you pay that type of tax.
Like, there's no way that Denver Nuggets clear $100 million in profit every year.
I don't know, man.
I don't know what the merch is looking like in Serbia, right?
They could just be going crazy.
I think teams make less money you think.
I think the value them is obviously the valuation, like the same as like property.
So you're asking an owner to lose like maybe $100 million on a team this year.
They say they're going to do it.
I'm saying all to say.
I'm not saying this to say like, oh, poor Cronky.
I don't go fuck.
I don't believe him that they're going to stay in the second apron like this.
I cannot fathom that.
Like surely they're going to dump one of these big contracts, right?
Like it would only.
Yeah.
What if you don't?
What if you don't?
This salute.
Cool owner, I guess.
Yeah.
Like you look at last year and you say,
Yonkis got hurt in the middle of the season.
It turned everything around.
We faced our bullies in Minnesota.
It's not going to happen again.
Like we're going to be better.
This is year two of Adelman being the full time, full time coach.
No, I doubt that.
all this comes down to ownership, right?
This is Kronky's like third or fourth most profitable team.
Do you think Kronky cares so much about like the emotional side of like wanting this team to win
when he owns these teams that are much bigger and more profitable to him?
Or is this just like one of the businesses?
And he's like, I'm not fined to get hosed $100 million on a team that I care very little about.
They're still in the Rams Sue?
Yes.
Shit.
And an MLS. MLS.A Premier League team and a hockey team.
Damn.
Yo.
Boy loaded.
I mean, they won the title.
three years ago, though.
I do think that if we're going to, we're going to psychoan analyze Kronky based on his
portfolio, he clearly is a competitive guy and likes to, it likes to be involved in professional
sports.
And I do think that winning probably is important to him.
So a team that won a title three years ago, and you can view as still being in the title
window, I do think that he might look at them and say, okay, we're going to maximize them
here.
And this is how we're going to move forward.
also looking at how the Rams operate
they are in a space where they're like
we don't really care about the future
we're going to maximize right now
so I do think that they don't have that type
of luxury tax that was a different
that's not an ownership thing that's a GM thing
but still putting yourself out there
and allowing and allowing your front office
to operate in that way
could be a sign that they
there are always just down to
to go for it in any given year
and when you have a player like Yokic
it's okay
Okay.
I hope you're right.
We'll see.
But luxury attacks does define their future.
Minnesota Tim Bulls, one word to describe their future.
Honestly, I don't have one word.
I have three, make a break.
Like, this little ball shit has to fucking work.
It's a swing for the fences and gambling on the meadow ball.
Typically hasn't been a good idea throughout the history of his career so far.
But he's the exact type of player on the court that someone like Anthony Edwards needs alongside him.
and, yo, like, this roster can be stale offensively,
and that's proven to be the case time and time again
with how defenses just completely shift towards,
and they throw off so much shit.
So it's definitely like a make or break thing.
If this, like, flops and let's say Lamello ends up missing,
like 40 games or 30 games or something crazy like that,
which he's fully capable of,
then we can get into very, like, scary conversations with the Timberwolves
and there'll be bad news for them.
They'll be down, but us Atlanta fans will be up and we'll be waiting.
We'll be ready to second you cross the straight.
And that's why I'm saying churcherous.
Because if it goes bad, then you are in a very, very bad spot.
If it goes well, then we're just going to look at those two and be like, oh, yeah, those two guys are churches together.
And they're out here just, you know, running the league and running the West.
Yeah.
Yeah, this stays Friday.
It is kind of crazy.
They don't have, like, they don't have a true four on this.
Yeah.
Who is Enrique Freeman?
Enrique Freeman.
That must be a rookie that distracted.
Must be like a second round pick.
I have no idea, bro.
They got Terrence Shannon's and you're twice on their bench.
Oh, he's a G&E player they have.
I'm guessing he's on a two-way.
He played four games last year.
Okay, he must be on a two-way contract.
Yeah, this team's depth isn't what it used to be at all anymore.
Fuck, man.
It's pretty rare.
I see he got a second on a depth chart, and I don't know who they are.
They got TSJ twice.
I just can't believe it.
He's actually only three times in all three positions.
Oh shit.
He's the third power forward too.
Yeah.
Shout out Rocco.
They're also going to need Isaiah Evans, who was like a top prospect coming out of high school,
had a very like whatever year in college to be so, so wildly productive day one.
Showed they got Rocco and Enrique.
You just see names that you like.
Just names.
Yeah.
In a weird spot.
Shout on Enrique.
I hope he's good.
Just found out about him today.
I bet he's a demon.
Okay, see thunder.
Health.
Demon.
That's the main thing.
Be regular.
Be healthy.
How to describe their future?
Cyclical?
Riches.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think they very clearly have a system.
Yeah.
A system in place that allows them to move in a way that can stave off some of them.
the major, major penalties of the second apron, and you can continue to build your team around
these big three and bring in new characters and new faces, and you just got, you know,
the role player factory is just up and running now. So I think, yeah, machine, cyclical,
all those things. Utah Jazz. Interesting, I think, because...
Good word for them. That's pretty vague, and people might be like, oh, yeah, they're interesting.
We don't know it was good or bad, but it will be interesting, so I like that word choice.
Yeah, because I don't know they're like, you have a back court of Keanu
who popped last year and then Darren Peterson, who looks great in Summer League already.
Like, is that the back court of the future?
I don't know, but both of those guys are very intriguing.
Names just have this front line of Lowry, Jerry Jackson, and now Nolke's,
it's a little bit less complicated now that Walker Kessler is gone.
But still, Ace Bailey is involved in that.
You still have a lot of unknowns.
He's injured look crazy right now.
just double Ds ever why does it like that day to day they're all day to day
apparently right now in the summer league
some of those are veterans it's just what the fuck
just double D's everywhere you look
I want to make a joke off that but yeah I'll say I'll say interesting
yeah intriguing I don't even know what to
like that's the honestly the best word for it I can't think of anything else because
yo like Ace Bailey's good he had a good rookie year
he just got overseas
being overshadowed because everyone else was just straight up better than him.
But Bryson's a good player.
Kyle Phippossey is like a good player too.
I say a caller is productive.
Cody Williams, he looks much better in Summer League in the first game that I, in the first
game that I saw him.
So it's like, they have so many moving pieces.
I just don't know how it's all going to fit together day one.
I think it's unique is the word I'd use for this rebuild.
Like two, 611, power forward all stars.
A number two pick, several other halelowlough.
young players, like, it's such a strange assortment of timelines.
I would have been more intrigued by it in a positive way if they kept Walker Kessler
because if they were going to have that, like, insane shot blocking duo, I was like,
holy shit, five seed, like, this could be a great team.
Now I'm like, okay, now it's just interesting because you don't have that guy.
And like, shout out Nurkich.
Big difference in value to him of Walker Kessler, clearly.
So I'm a little bit cool down now and my expectations of them being like a really great
team, but it's certainly interesting and unique.
Darren Peterson looks so nice, bro.
Yeah.
Yeah, see, all this maybe just doesn't matter
because you just have Kobe Bryant on your team.
Yeah, yo, he's nice.
They're big man away from being so different, so relevant.
But see, a big man away, they have two seven footers.
They're just like power forward.
It's just so weird.
Like, are they going to play them together?
Those guys are shooting guards.
They became 611 guys by accident.
Never less than 611.
Are they going to do some unique shit and start them as their big men
and, like, rebound by committee?
Because you do that, you're starting Ace Bailey,
who can also rebound.
So maybe you can do some kind of weird, like,
Lowry's really your center
They're gonna be hardest fluck to guard
But defensively
Like Jaron guards the centers
But he's your center in terms of like
Being your main rebounder
And like your three, four and five all crash
Like maybe there's some unique thing they can do there
And make it make sense
Yuck
Darren average is like 3.5 rebounds a game man
Ew
There's something there
Because they have a stranger assortment of talents
Yeah
Portland Trailblazers
Floundering
Broke
That's all you got to say
Broke
Your future is defined
by the poverty of your owner.
I shouldn't even say poverty.
He's not poor.
That gives him an out.
He's cheap. He's cheap.
That's worse.
It's worse.
He's scared of money spreads.
You don't want the $3 cheese, man.
Your feature is defined by your owner being cheap.
And, you know.
Good call back.
Hell yeah.
Good team.
Cool team.
I mean, John Morant and Damien Lurred, it's fucking weird.
I don't even know what to say about the on-court abilities there.
Like, what's even happening there?
We don't know.
Jaw, Dame, Denny, three ball handlers.
One can shoot.
I guess that Denny can shoot.
Let me not say that.
One's like a impact shooter in Dame.
He got Denny at the Power Forward or no.
Yeah, Tumani.
It probably more like a Power 4, but they're both small four bodies.
Shaded Sharp just standing up on the bench like this.
Yeah.
Just ready to go.
That brother got demoted, right.
Their feature is defined.
It's just confusing.
I don't understand this team.
Yeah.
I honestly, if this team did walk into the season exactly, just like last season.
won like 42 games i would believe it i would not 42 is not a big number so yeah i'd believe
it i think they did that last year so like sure that is i don't i just don't care about the idea
of them winning 42 games yeah they just really like my my word for them is just stagnant
no matter what happens with jar and they're not stagnant they're gonna be i think they're gonna be
worse i don't think they're gonna be worse sure probably i if they're not worse i won't be
surprised if they are worse i won't be surprised i think certain teams are just fine being un-n-n-n-n-bbaid team
yeah their future is un-n-n-n-bbaid team yeah existence you talked to
about the, you had a conversation about NBA teams not being as profitable.
This motherfucker's figuring out a way to be profitable as possible.
Sure.
He's not trying to be good.
He's not trying to build a community.
Fuck that.
I want dollars.
You're not getting his morning coffee because, you know.
Expenses, man.
He's going to eat into the profit margins.
I think people would be shocked how unprofitable sports teams are relative to what they expect.
Yeah.
You ask like your uncle, wait, he thinks that the nuggets make, he might be like two billion a year.
Some shit like that.
You just say a number.
Most of the property is literally just from the evaluation.
Yeah, literally.
And what they do with having that stake?
Yeah.
Southeast Division, last division today.
Mo, what is one word to describe the Hawks future?
The Hawks future, I will say, versatile.
We're young.
We got a whole lot of guys who can handle the ball.
Keith's the filming, like, he looks superb in my mind.
He's everything that I wanted so far in the last,
in the first couple games of Summer League.
Zubi looks so
like versatile
I'm like I'm curious
literally I'm curious
is what we're gonna do next season
He's a lot of
Curious
He's everything that I wanted
In the first days of summer leagues
We have to stop
We have to stop
It's summer league man
What do you mean
Who gives the damn what
It's a California classic
We can respect Vegas
California classic
We gotta calm down
Same shit we all
Unless no it's not
Unless it's not
It is not
No one's don't
Come on now
Yeah you really love
Yeager. Okay.
He's done one. That's his guy. This is good.
I wasn't one defending the rookie list.
I don't believe me. But really, I'm just hoping for more internal growth from
Jalen Johnson. Like, if, if not, then we're going to be like the same, I guess, 44.
This is the same as a trouble by the way. They're on NBA team now.
Nah, you're great.
We're not the same. We're more respectful than the trouble.
I didn't say any level of respect there. You're on NBA team for now.
We're an NBA team who beat the Knicks twice.
No one needs to say that
So also question to that
Does that get wiped out because you lost by 50 in a game?
Yeah, well, I'm sorry to have one wins
So they beat the Knicks once in spirit
No it does not
Two wins, two wins
You cannot wipe out a hold double.
Why?
Yes, I can't.
You can't, we won.
We beat up by 25 twice in one game.
Ten, five times.
In tens are your heeled ball.
You're multiplied by five.
You basically got swept twice.
If we won't five.
games next year, that one's surprise me.
Oh, hell yeah.
Surprise.
Really?
We won 46 games this year.
My word for that.
Listen, you guys.
It's possible.
They got the 60.
You guys are right back in the playing next year.
Wait, say again?
You guys were the 60 this past year.
You are right back in the playing next year.
50's tough.
If everything, yes.
The East is loaded now, bro.
I know.
It's 50.
Because.
Even if we're like Miami is 10, I think Miami will be better.
If you don't, if you don't want to believe that.
Indiana.
Indiana got the piss and still there.
I believe it.
If there's one team, if one team below you guys.
For the Wizards might be better than you.
They will.
Y'all are doing too much now.
Philly.
Philly's tough.
Philly was one game below, y'all.
All right, maybe not.
You're back in the playing.
Hopefully.
We do 46, 47 games.
So once again, future for the Hawks, purgatory.
Purgatory is crazy.
Un-N-B-A team, I'm telling you.
We're waiting for Anthony Edwards.
Sure.
Now you're un-M-A team.
And we're ready for anything to happen right now.
Do you know where you go when you are waiting?
You go to purgatory.
When you're waiting.
Is it a lot of bad position to be in?
No, it's not good nor bad.
It's just a place to be.
Yeah.
It's just a lobby.
You're on NBA team.
How many times was I'm going to say it?
Yeah.
You're just in the lobby.
You in the club.
name.
Exactly, I'm ready to bounce.
You're a group in a place.
We're literally ready to bounce.
That's it.
Charlotte Hornet's one word to describe their future.
Brave, I think.
I think they made a brave decision to sell off on their star
that nobody would agree should have been traded.
Amongst fans.
Nobody wanted to see them go.
They made a brave decision to say,
we think we should pivot and we are going to be
a more prosperous team in the future
for having sold high on the mellow ball
at this specific time.
That's not an easy decision to make.
So whether it works or not,
I think this next year of future
will be defined by brave decisions being made.
I think serious.
I think getting Lamello and Miles Bridges out to paint
in the same day really did send a message to everybody
about what you want this team to look like
and how to operate.
And you say serious,
I would describe it to not to not paint it
a certain Colin Cowher type of way.
Like low variant.
They want no variant.
in their outcomes, I feel like.
They want like consistency.
You know, I appreciate you for having my bad.
I do.
Yeah, because it's not like they're unsurious people.
Miles Bridges could fuck himself.
That's different.
But like, I think they want to have a consistent style
without the ups and downs of injuries
or not playing defense and only checking shots
like Miles Bridges.
They want to have a consistent play style
that is with a very clear,
probably Celtics like identity with Charles Lee.
This guy's good, man.
I don't think the Celtics,
we want the metal ball.
That's a good pro right there.
That's good right there.
Sure.
We give that to them.
Yeah.
But they want to be a very normal team.
They want to play like very like when SpongeBob got like rounded and they made him very normal.
He was like, I am Bob.
That's what they want to be.
Very cool.
That's really what Charles Lee was like.
They don't want to be doodle Bob.
No, not at all.
Doodle Bob was for a little melod.
He's a little bit.
Doodle Bob.
Me.
Noi, no, me.
Noi.
I was going to see who's going to be
That's how he's back to
He's never getting the driver's license
It doesn't matter
They say he's a driver now
Oh yeah
They say he lies in the back of a spinner now
They took away his keys
Uber blacks everywhere
He's responsible now
I go out his ass
be lying about that.
We know he's going to be driving still.
This is riding dirty for sure.
He's lying to his dad.
What else are you going to do?
I'm a race.
Miami Heat.
One worse to describe their future with Janus on the team.
Sometimes you got a race.
Miami Heat.
Feature now has Janus.
The feature is now.
Serious.
Finally, we can take them all serious and like,
Reloaded.
Freaky?
What?
Tell me more.
I mean, you have Yonis there.
And I think this.
So like, you do have Yonest.
So one, you got to freak in the door.
Two, this entire lineup, especially now that Norm Powell is not here, once again, and I asked this last week, who is taking jumpers for this team?
I think that they're going to, we saw the reinvention of their offense last year.
We're going to have to see something, like another version of that.
just because this entire roster isn't set up to play like normal basketball.
They're going to have to be a little bit more creative.
I don't think the shooting is that bad.
But where is the perimeter ball handling?
I do think that the shooting is bad.
There's no off the dribble shooters like that, which matters.
But Wiggins, Hardaway, Davion, Pell, and Bobby Portis,
all spaced the floor from a catcher shoot perspective well enough.
You're not helping off them.
And those aren't like Jared Vanderbilt type of shooters.
Like, you're going to respect them all.
don't have off the dribble shooters
which matters a lot in today's league
maybe that's nullified a little bit
by having Janice
who's obviously gonna do a lot
of that ball handling
but where is a perimeter shot making from
who is gonna be your Chris Middleton
to like get Janus into these sets
or Drew Holiday to get Janice in these sets
like that's the thing that I really want
Norm Powell for which not like Norm Powell
is great at that either
but he can create a shot off the dribble
and if he gives a if one of these big men set of screen
he could walk into a mid-range pull-up
who is doing that here
do you trust in the last minute
it's gonna have to be
it's gonna have to be wig
just because
it'll be
Dave yon mitchell he has like a higher
it won't be wigs it won't be wigs it won't be wigs
I'm the only the only reason why
I'm saying it is just because
it's just because wigs is tall it's
that's the only reason why that's why it can't be him
that's why it can't be I don't I don't
think davion is going to be the guy you're right
it doesn't be him yeah I think the answer is going to be honest
and he's just going to have to do that
and like be a more mature ball handler at that
size which is a lot to ask of a 611
player of any sort
congratulations
it's back
it's all
down to the honest
this is what he wanted
yeah
yeah so
they're
they're really lacking
someone
who can operate
on like
the triple
thread
and do like
a multitude
of things
bro
that's the truth
we can talk
about all the different
kind of offenses
that people run
we could talk about
all the exes
and those
at a certain point
it does get back
to the to the basics
OG
who's going jab
that's what's
what's that
O.G. was dominating in the finals off of triple threat stances.
That's what we're talking about right now.
It is very important.
That's the one thing we can do offensively, though.
All he'll do is triple threats.
But he's not passing it, though.
He's not really like tripling for real.
Okay, he's double threat.
Yeah, he's like a double threat.
Okay.
One word to describe this team incomplete.
That's how he describes their future.
It's incomplete right now.
You did step one.
You got Yonis.
The sad reality, which may be sad as in the worst,
the harsh reality, is building.
a championship team around Janus and Bammas a two-year endeavor.
You got Janice now. You got the elite defense now. I think your shooting is okay enough
to get the ball handling we're talking about and the high-level offense to be like a true
contender is, I think, a next summer vision. So you're kind of in a gap year with Yonis,
which you never want to be when Yonis is in his fucking 30s. A gap year with Yonis is kind of
unfortunate, but there's no other answer there, I think.
So...
Incomplete vision. You can still compete with an incomplete team, but next summer is when you'll
try to be complete and really have this thing come to fruition, I think.
All right.
So step one, your progress has been made.
Yeah.
Orlando Magic, one word to describe their future.
Oh, they're just stuck.
Stuck, but like my choice.
They're just ten toes down.
Their feet are on the ground.
They're not moving.
It's like stationary.
Stationary.
But like, they're in a stray jacket right now, man.
Oh, no, they are.
But they're of their own design.
They put that shit on that morning.
They decided to wear the straitjacket.
They took it out the closet and said, I like it here.
They're committed.
That's what they are.
It's like the future is about commitment to this five-man lineup.
Yeah.
It's like they bought this big brand new Jeep.
And they're like,
yo, man,
this you can get through anything.
And they've just been trying to drive through this like big piece of fucking
quicksand it.
It just can't get out.
But they're going to keep trying because this Jeep has four-wheel drive.
And I'm going to get,
I bought the Jeep for a reason.
True.
This is a $120,000 Jeep.
Best believe I'm going to get my,
I'm going to get two years of mileage in.
And they're just burning all that gas, man.
Yeah.
It's constantly.
But maybe it works, though, because that Jeep does say when you buy it that it should
get you out of quicksand. It hasn't yet. But it has the capabilities to get you at that
quicksand if it works well, if it's running well that day. So the possibility to get out the
quicksand is there. So I can't really be mad they're committed to that Jeep. I guess so.
Because also like if you move around too much, you try to be too busy in quicksand, you will sink
faster. Yeah, you got to figure it out. Yeah, yeah. You have to be calm. Yeah, you have to like
learn, do some pattern recognition, understand the moving patterns. And like on the alternatively, if you
sell the Jeep, you're going to get pennies on the dollar. You're not going to be a better team for
You're going to feel like you shouldn't have bought that Jeep and now you're in a hole.
That's so great.
They really didn't make any moves this offseason.
Because they like their Jeep.
They're depreciating.
And Nicole of Vucevic, too.
Shout to him, I guess he's going to retire.
That's it, bro.
So, yeah, it's just about commitment, right?
And time will tell if it works.
I can definitely see it working.
I can see one more year that starting five stays healthy together.
The analytics that we saw, the lineup data from that five were amazing.
if we can just get that and we finally get the two perimeter players
and Wagner and Bancaro healthy together for 50 games,
they clearly can't be a good team.
Would I be necessarily like putting my stock in them?
I don't know, but I can see the vision.
We'll see.
I love this optimism mindset we have.
I don't even know if I'm optimistic.
I'm just acknowledging the optimistic mindset of what you could say.
What do I gain from me pessimistic in July?
Thanks.
Suns out.
Why be sad?
You ride that Jeep, I don't know.
Why?
One of the Jeep's tires is very overrated, but like, keep it.
It works, I guess.
It works.
Sort of.
I guess.
Washington Wizard's last team today.
One word to describe their future.
Playoffs.
Imminence?
Imminence.
Saved.
Risen for mediocrity.
You got AJ.
You got AD.
You got Trey.
You're going to be a good team in some variety.
Like, I don't know amongst all.
the teams that are good, making a playoff push, where you'll fall there.
Maybe it's on the low end of that.
Maybe you'll be a playing team still.
Actually, you surely probably will be a playing team.
Let me not say top six is a given.
But you're not going to be ass anymore.
And that's a high bar because boy with their ass before they got Joe Young and AD.
They really were bottom of the barrel.
This is what Cooper Fags rookie season was supposed to be.
Oh, with AD and Kyrie?
Yeah.
Facts.
Oh, yeah.
You know, AJ stole his destiny.
That's kind of true.
Wow.
this seems so cool man
yeah but their features defined by
quick rise I would hope
yeah they try you can change
Alexar's broke ass life right now man
like the bull handlers he's had to work with
over the last what two years of his career
so bad did you see that tweet this morning someone tweeted out
there was a graph of the least efficient
play finishers from pick and roll play types
of the last two years he was dead fucking last
the least efficient role man in the league
over the last how many years I think it was two years
fuck the least efficient
efficient role man in the NBA was Alex
R. It checks out. He might be like, Dan, he sucks
at that. Also, he's catching passes from Buckarrington
and Bilal-Kulabal. So, Trayton might literally change his life.
Yeah, man.
These guys are 18-1 to win the division.
Really? 18-1
to win the division. So that's a conversation
between them, Magic and Heat.
Because we don't care about the Hawks or Hornets in that conversation.
Okay.
I think the Hawks would be better than that. I'd probably pick.
And also the Heat, too.
I've got to pick the Heat to win the division, I think.
And I'd probably pick the magic to finish part in the Wizards, I think.
I don't know how I'm confident I am in that.
The heater would definitely be the best team, I think.
Yeah.
That's a given.
I would think, right?
Until Yon's gets hurt.
He gets hurt.
He gets hurt.
You have.
No one can hit a jump shot.
Yeah.
That, all that, all that goes down.
And then what if, what if Trey Young just has, you know, his moment where this is, this is a time where all the things that we've been asking, like, hey, can,
you scale back just, you know, a little bit and we're not,
and we're not playing overly, overly,
Ray Young basketball.
If you can get a little bit of that,
they can,
the Wizards can be really,
really good.
Yeah.
17 and 12 type season.
Yeah,
maybe.
It's good.
Asking them to take this leap forward is like,
to go from 17 games to a actual,
like, play in team or playoff team.
That's a big jump.
And like the Pissons did it a couple years ago.
but I think that they could
they will be in the play in
I feel very confident about them being
one of the 10 best teams in the conference
definitely what's a good bar
what if they like end up getting rid of AD
I still I still think so
I still think they could be one of the 10 best teams
in the club I'm less confident but yeah it still could be
yeah there man that is every single team
one word to describe their future
with that being said it is now time
for producer corner
hit that button oh wow
ladies and gentlemen we are here
to play a game of
is it Erling Holland
or Sabrina Carpenter?
Okay, whatever that means.
You will find out very soon.
I'm going to show you a picture
and you're going to guess
or, you know, try to extrapolate
if it's a picture of
Erling Holland or Sabrina Carpenter.
Two people that look very much alike, apparently.
First picture.
Oh, shit.
First picture.
First picture.
Okay.
Oh, that's Sabrina Carpenter.
That's Holland.
I think that's Sabrina
The dark roots
I think Holland's a more like bleached blonde
Yeah he seems like more pure blonde
This is
Early Holland
Damn it's damn
Mm-hmm
Yeah
Maybe the hair's too straight
Maybe we should have known it was Holland
She has a lot of volume to her hair
I thought it was a young Sabrina Carpenter
When she was like pre-superstar jump
When she looks post Disney
She's looking a little different
She has different versions
I don't know what I put on you
I thought that was
fresh out of Disney.
It's the edit that threw me off.
That's it.
All right.
Next.
Do the filters on it.
Okay, this looks like it's outside.
So I'm assuming it might be Erling Holland again.
No, that's a bun.
That blue is very vibrant.
Yeah, it's very vibrant.
And so I do think that this might be a shoot for Sabrina.
You see a little bit of the curls in there, even in the shot.
Some product in the hair.
I'm going to go Sabrina here.
Do you think it's a Mr. Rec?
It looks like it's in a bun.
So he wants to think it's Sabrina?
No
I think because the last time
We were saying like
You notice the hair was super straight
I think you have a little bit more
You see a sticker
Yeah
A couple curls right there
I'm going Holland
I'll go with you Donovan
Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina
I think it's still
Early Holland
Dumbies
I told you the miss dragman
See he plays with a ponytail
man
I trusted Donovan
Oh yeah
All right next
Okay that's Sabrina
For sure
I know for fact
That looks like some
She's behind some red carpet
And you see it at the edge of her eyebrow
The dark eyebrow
I don't know.
That's clearly Sabrina Carpenter's here.
Yeah, it should be.
I'll be so shocked if it's not.
Yeah, award shows to be.
I'll stake my life on this being Superna Carpenter.
It is still.
No, I'm kidding.
All right, next.
Holland.
Holland.
Look at that neck.
Look at that goddamn neck.
That long ass neck.
I've got some traps on him.
Yeah, Holland is a long neck.
Yeah.
It is early Holland.
Yeah.
Sabrina.
Yeah, I'll say Sabrina.
Look at a tan.
Look at the color of the skin tone.
That is that's a green tone.
That is a skin tone tells it all.
You're right.
And the background looks like it's like a red carpet or something.
Maybe a concert venue like at a festival.
The hair does look purposely did too a little bit.
Yeah, that's Sabrina for sure.
I'll trust you.
Sabrina.
It is Sabrina.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Next.
Is it Donovan.
Burma Kellridge.
You suck.
I bet you stumped.
All right.
First picture.
I think this is Donovan
That's Donovan
Yeah
Yeah
Hell yeah
I see this picture
Yeah
Alright next
That's Mike
That's Macal
That's Macal
That's Macal
I don't think
Don't like
Draft night
Or like
Not in draft night
I think this is like
The finalist picture
Yeah I don't think
You find a picture
This low quality of Donovan
Yeah
That's McHale
Okay
They look a lot of like
In that picture
From a distance
You would wear too
I mean it's tough
all right
oh that's donovan
that's donovan
that's me
it's me
oh shit
what the fuck
oh
that's great
that you thought that was you too
hey man fuck
that's kind of crazy
what
so now we understand
why they say you're twins
it's the eyes
we always thought it was just a beard
that's your fucking eye
that's your fucking eye
that's your fucking eyes
I
I can't be it.
Is it a jump scare?
Did someone listen to this?
And look down in the fall.
Oh, shit.
Well, that's insane.
I would have bet my life this was easy.
Like, seriously, I'll be dead.
All right, next.
Is it B- Souls or Net from Spider-Man?
Okay.
Dead.
What the fucking since?
I'm going there.
Yeah, I'm going Ned.
I don't know.
It is,
okay,
there you go.
Okay, this is you.
What the fuck is that?
Right under the lip, I think.
What?
I think this is you.
I'm going to go,
Nid.
What the fuck am I looking at?
Yeah.
I don't know.
Wait.
I don't know.
I think too.
I can't say it.
But this is you.
this is like an elbow
what is this?
I see no
I'll go you
because Ned is a little bit darker
it's me
it's my eye
oh
hell yeah
fair
I had no
who I was looking at
yeah
my left eye
that's crazy
yeah
that's nuts
what's crazy
what do you mean
it doesn't look like an eye
it looks
it gave no
indications that it was an eye.
No eyelis.
No eyelash.
No white.
No peop.
Could you see?
Yes, I was squinting.
It looks fully close.
You're squinting all the way.
The sun is literally in my eye out of it.
I was squinting.
But if I squint, you could still see my eye.
Do it.
Barely.
I see his eyelashes.
Where's your eyelashes?
Where's your eyelids?
Where are the defining.
of an eye.
Don't worry about them.
Oh, man.
And that's the last one.
Dale.
That one was crazy.
That was funny.
Well, that would that be said
that is the end of producer quarter.
We're on a TikTok time.
That was a hit.
Woo.
Welcome to TikTok time.
Today, per usual,
we will begin with a draft.
We're going back.
We're hitting the 2V2 draft again.
We did this two weeks ago.
Me and Mo drafting against Beasoles and Donovan.
I told them we were going to do TV2
Don requested that Beasol's once again on his team
because he wants redemption for those two as a duo
because last time we did this a couple weeks ago
they might have drafted the worst team in TD3 draft history
It was up there
In a completely unforced error by the way
They sold hilariously
Listen man and I tried to
Dome a bone
I remember I took Kyle Corver
You did over most of alone
That's for giggles
You tried
The theme for today is we will spin the wheel
We are drafting teams
With international players
that played for these teams
okay so whatever that means you
international players are on this team
if we get the grillsies or whatever
it's gonna be slim pickings or we get one of the teams
with a lot of legends there we'll see
okay me and mo go first
since we have it doesn't really matter but we won last time
so winners ball yeah I guess
it doesn't matter for this context but go ahead
it's been the wheel we'll go first
come on
Pacers
Mo you want to go first
I think you got it
do they do that
international players yeah
they don't do it a whole lot
A large history of whites.
Yeah, that's not really their bag.
But they got one right now.
Yeah, exactly.
We'll go past L.
Yakima Power Ford.
Okay.
Donovan, you got this one.
You got this one.
He got this one big, bro.
Nemhart's Canadian.
Huh?
Nemhart is Canadian.
He is Canadian.
I'm trying to think about the best players in their history.
All of them have been American.
Yeah.
Really throughout air.
That's why I'm shocked.
Like, they really do not be outsourcing.
Indiana.
They're Indiana.
Yeah.
They don't do it.
All of it is in-house pretty much.
They stay true to the state.
Are we going to have to go Nymart?
And two, certainly there's a all-time player.
I actually can't think of anything else.
Like, I'm not even lying to you.
I really don't know what else.
Just current base it.
Because like, like, Fierfers.
Were there any international players on that team?
No.
No.
Not in the starting lineup.
Because Hibbert's American.
Hibbert's American.
Yeah, Hibbert, Pitchie.
Miles.
Yeah, Pigsit Jemmaid.
You'd have him, even though he's American.
All right.
The RON our test pacers?
No.
No.
No. Damn.
Um, all right, we're going to get our, our glue guy.
We're going to get M.
It's always nice to start your team with a glue guy.
Okay.
Yeah, we're going to put, yeah, put NEM hard there.
Two?
Whatever.
It doesn't matter.
Them hard.
All right.
Dude number two, spin that wheel.
Let's get the Rockets.
Come on.
The Dallas Mavericks.
And we all win.
It's not bad.
Not bad.
Are we snaking it?
Yeah, it's your turn.
Let me get.
I don't even care who you pick.
Luca.
I'm surprised you don't want to Dirk.
I'll take Dirk Nivinsky.
Oh, it's your turn.
Yeah, I'm taking Dirk regardless.
It doesn't matter.
Could have spoke for me.
Yeah.
Yeah, who cares?
Luke and M.
See, I'm Dirk.
Okay.
Surprised.
I had the big, you had the big, you went with the other guard.
I'm surprised you didn't want to pair of one.
with Dirk.
Yeah.
I think if
it doesn't matter
you can't lose
regardless.
It's fine either way.
I probably
would pick Dirk Fuzzam.
Nah,
don't worry about that.
Don't worry about that.
I'm not worried about it.
It's good either way.
Next team.
Sacramento Kings.
Ooh.
Okay.
They had Pesha.
Yeah.
I could go there
to get a shooter,
get a glue guy.
Did they have anybody better?
So boner.
So boner.
Oscar Robinson's American, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
that Chris Weber is American
Boogie's American
Wow they don't have a lot of great players
No it's the Kings
I guess we'll go Pagia at the three
Okay
We got a shooter
We have spacing right now
Holy shit
We better get some defenders though
Because you got Dirk holding down to room
I know I know
It's getting real spooky
But we might have the greatest offense of all time
We'll see
We'll see
Can I offer you a
Kelly and Aves
can I offer you a Scala BCA.
You can.
Buddy healed.
Can keep going.
Buddy Hill.
Bohemian.
Yeah.
No, we can't take Buddy Hill.
I actually don't know who you should pick.
I think Willie Colley Stein is Canadian.
Is that right?
Bro, we're getting newt, man.
Did I meet that up?
Is Willie Colleyside Canadian?
Can I fact check it?
If we all have like a general name?
You want to fact check Willie?
I'll fact check for you.
Who? What about, um, I'll fact check for you.
Big dude.
My boy, Maxine Rayno.
I know.
Come on now.
I might take him.
Wait, is Sabonis America?
No, he's from Lithuania.
Sabonis did grow up in America, but he's Lithuanian.
I think he was born in Portland and grew up in Lithuania and back and forth because that I played.
It has to be.
Oh, no.
What they call a sign is from Kansas.
Kansas.
Were you going to pick him?
No.
You just want to know.
You're crazy.
I just wanted to know my options.
This might be a Sabonis pick.
Okay
Pizabonis wasn't bad man
I mean he's not the best
Lucasabonis scary
That's disgusting
You have your defense say is no chance
We do have dirt at the five
You got dirt at the five
Let's calm down
But you got Luca and Sabonis
Right now holding the deal
We got Siakam to help him
That means something
We'll see who your Seaccom is
All right
Here we go
Are your turn
Please
The Celtics
A lot of Americans here too
Yeah
Do we have to go Tingus Pinguis at the five?
Oh, brother.
And a Celtics version, too?
Well, not too much.
Not too much.
No, he's a good, but it's not the most reliable.
When he was healthy, he was good, though.
For sure, for sure.
Who else is there?
Lucas, Sabonis and KPS, Lucas' worst nightmare.
We're building in the snow time Celtics.
That's his worst nightmare.
Um, K.P.
I hope you're thinking.
I don't know.
I'm thinking right now.
I'm running through a list of guards.
They are also historically.
they don't do that.
When it comes to guards.
Boston definitely doesn't do that.
Yeah.
80s,
oh,
90s.
Because like,
they open it up
to black people
in like the 80s
and then they took them
a while,
then they opened it up
to the rest of the world
later on.
I don't know.
It might have to be KP.
I don't think
that's the worst pick though.
I don't think that's a bad pick.
Okay, so Porsingas,
is that your center?
Yeah.
Okay.
Porzinguists and Zabon is.
No foot speed,
but you got some size.
I guess.
Yeah, so it's a bonus at the 5.
KP at the 4.
Whatever.
Damn.
Yo, we're actually fucked.
I ran through the errors in my head just now.
There's one player that you can pick, but like, it does not make sense for your team.
I think in terms of eligible players, there's only one that's coming to mine right now.
And who's that?
Um, your boy Big Al.
Yeah.
Oh, that's weird.
Does he count?
Is he American?
No, he's Dominican.
He plays for their national team.
Okay, okay.
So he can't.
Yeah, battle works.
Like, I could put Al, Hugo Gonzalez.
Yeah.
Hey, big Hugo.
Apparently he's the next future star.
Don't give him up for y'allis.
Put him at the two.
I guess for a team who's like to kind of nerd out a little bit, he plays defense and he's aggressive.
But it's like, you actually could do worse.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like there's no one in the 2020s.
No guards.
Yeah.
Marky Smart's not.
I don't even think of like the 2020 teams?
No.
Like Kyrie and they were?
I mean.
Yeah.
Does Kyrie count?
What do we do with that?
Because there's always the Australian versus American.
He played for Team USA.
But he could play for either one, right?
I think he's like, I think.
So if Kyrie has Australian citizenship, do we get them?
Come on.
I'm not asking a question.
I mean, you can be selfish if you want, but to ask you this.
Does, if Kyrie has Australian citizenship, does he count?
I don't know.
No, Carrey Irving does not count as an international player.
I think we'll be sitting with that one, to be honest with you.
That's not fair.
Where's the line that?
That's like saying Kobe's from Middle East.
He's never like actually
Yeah, yeah, I think that
But if you could have picked either one
And he just picked the other one
That doesn't mean his Australian traits
Disappeared
Like his card is still there
He does have dual citizenship by the way
He was he's allowed to play for team
Australia if he so chooses
I don't think we've ever thought about
Yeah
As the international
I think the same thing applies to Alhorford though
So I'm just wondering where
I think that's completely different
For Alhofer because he has played
For their national team
And like
But he could
But Kyrie could also play for national team
You know what I mean
they both have the same type of citizenship.
But Kyrie could, he never did.
Doesn't make him less Australian of a man.
He doesn't have one picture of him in Australia.
So Bowens is born in America.
He's still.
But he played for Lithuanian.
Again, just because he chose a team, doesn't make him less Australian of a man.
But I don't care.
We don't have to allow it.
Just open a question.
Real FIFA discourse right here.
That's what I did it.
The Brits are going to be mad at us.
Huh?
The Brits are going to be pissed at us.
I know.
Damn, yo.
Do I?
I hope it wouldn't be bad
in terms of just like straight up talent
but having Seacom
run the three
oh brother
and then Paige let's get a pickoff
honestly yeah I'd rather
have I'd rather have Al Horford than
Hugo Gonzalez honestly
you want Hugo
you go make your pick it's your pick
yeah like I feel better
about Alhofer than Hugo right now
I guess we're the biggest team of all time so
where you put now put Hugo at the four
shift everyone up fuck it
No, I mean, Al at the four.
Yeah, out at the four sets everyone up.
Hugh at the forks.
I'm not having Hugh at all my team.
That's too funny.
All right.
We have small force, Yacom's shooting garpaea.
The biggest team of all time.
Let's see what we got.
We got space.
Suddenly, suddenly our subonness pick makes a little bit of reasons.
We need a point where I can dribble bad.
Spin this wheel.
Yeah.
I need a ball handler, like an elite ball handler.
Steve Nash.
Cavaliers.
Once again, I'm asking this.
Carbore out of the count.
No.
You know all, man?
You better go.
The presence that are already.
Go on.
We can carry out, but we, there's a weird presence there with some other people we picked over time.
But whatever.
Fair.
What are the point guards they have over time?
You know who?
I don't.
Delhi.
Deli?
Fuck.
They had Ricky Ruby at one point, right?
No, they made it up.
No, they did have Ricky Ruby with Donald Mitchell.
Yeah, originally.
Okay.
Oh, yeah, Ricky would have a garland.
and Garland put off
Walmart
he told us about that
we interviewed him
Yeah
Cuckoooooooooo rubeo
It's not the worst
In the world
The defender
It's not the best
It's not the best
It's not bad
The problem is
There's probably some guys
That I just think
Are like beheemian
Or something like that
That like count
And I'm trying to think
Like
Where's Bo Williams from?
I think he is
Honestly
I think he is
No
I look he do think
No
He's the blackest American
Ever
What are you talking about
The blackest American ever
I don't know
If he's that
I don't know
His name is
Williams, bro.
He's from Mississippi.
His name is Mo.
He's from Mississippi, bro.
Mo Williams.
I know what I thought.
I put it in your head and you're like, yeah, why not?
Let's do I got to go Ricky?
He Loki.
If I go Ricky, I mean, we do play through Dirk as a main score.
And then we have spacing.
So we could be, we're not horrible.
I would like someone better.
Yeah, no.
Darren Williams is American.
He's not Canadian randomly.
Would you want?
has D. Will.
Moe.
I guess not.
He will.
Where's he from?
America, I'm pretty sure.
Illinois, I think.
Yes.
Correct.
Derek Rose in Illinois.
Mark Price is American, right?
It's American as fuck.
Mars or Wonderbred.
Yeah.
Oh, I mean, I guess there's one guy.
Which one be bad at all?
There's one guy.
The big man.
Yeah.
Oh, this is tough.
Duay, Wade's American.
I got a name for you.
I don't know if it's like inspiring,
but you do keep a job.
Dennis Schrooter.
He keeps a job.
We're going to Ricky Rubio.
We're getting a playmaker to put it all together.
We got plenty of scoring.
We need a guy to keep everybody in line.
Ricky Rubio, point good.
All right, so we have Luca at the one,
Nemhart at the two,
eight of three.
Four or two, we can shove Luca to the three.
Yeah.
It's pretty much a three defensively.
All right.
So that means...
You could pick Deli.
Yeah, it won't be bad.
Nah.
Or I'm thinking...
Could pick Anthony Bennett.
Canadian zone.
I was thinking more...
Cetti.
Teddy Osmond, yeah.
Sure, take them.
Could take them.
Take them.
Teddy Ozin, what a guy.
Tristan Thompson's available for you.
The rebounding would be created between the two.
Go real big and go big Z.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Where's he from?
Trivia.
Don't worry about that.
Take a guess.
Croatia, I think.
Maybe.
No.
That's not a bad guess.
Oh, he's Lithuanian.
Yeah.
Damn, Lithuanian got some guys.
You know what?
You got to go big on big.
Big Z.
Welcome to T.
Put K.
Put K.
Put KP at the 3.
Yeah.
What?
And then we'll put Big Z at the...
I'd like to have to be said.
This is the second draft in the past month that Dominus put
KP at the 3.
He did this in a
keeper sabotage to sabotage somebody else.
He put KP at his 3.
What's your fascination
with that, man?
I mean, there's something there.
If Lowry can do it, he can do it.
Lowry played for the Cavs.
Oh.
Yo.
I did it so this time.
He said I'm free.
You still lost, buddy.
Oh, yeah, I just thought
to.
Damn, Lorry did play.
before he broke out.
We could have had him,
but they could have had him.
Yeah.
Y'all could have had him.
No, we could not.
Larry asked my one.
And see,
he'll bring the ball up.
No, tell Pacer to go who.
We got negative two point of attack defenders.
Damn.
Your team is ridiculous.
Luca Lockered and down on the perimeter.
But I mean, regarding my team,
Luca has to guard Pasia.
I guess he'll live.
Now, Siakam's taking him off the dribble.
We're attacking Luca.
So he has nowhere to hide
Come here, buddy.
So KP would guard
Dirk
Or
Or Big Z?
Fucking barbecue chicken
Who's guarding dirt?
You have no Dirk defenders.
Big Z's guarding Dirk.
I think,
yeah, I think Big Z would guard Dirk
KP regard Ciacom.
Is Sabonish your best dirt defender?
Ew.
Because he's big.
He's mobile a little big.
He probably has the best hips
of those three.
Is Luca your best
dirt defender?
Oh, wow.
And then we put them hard.
We put Nemhard on Pager so you can run around with them.
Luca or Rubio.
Subonis helps off for Rubio.
Yeah, just sag, just sag, man.
You're good.
K.P., checks, Seacum, Big Z, guards Horford.
You're fucked you the way, but yeah, maybe Luca Garden Dirk's your best option.
Luca Garting Dirk.
He should have been glory.
Looker.
Looker God and Dirk, that'll show them.
That's the B-Blan.
Nice.
That's bad.
That's not great.
I'll say that much.
Guess what?
We're going to run this back again.
The next one two drive.
One day you'll win.
Now, if we do...
It's a curse duo.
If our third draft is bad, I'm leaving the franchise.
I will seek employment elsewhere.
Next thing we were going to do, NBA free agency has been in full swing for about a week.
We have lots of new teams that have changed their construction.
we are going to grade
some of the newest
NBA starting lineups.
Some of these might change
by the time you're seeing this.
The Lakers might sign
Kaminga by the time you're seeing this
and he'll be starting TBD.
But as of today,
these are what we think
the starting lineups will be.
We have to grade them.
Okay.
So first up.
Kaminga.
76ers.
Maxie, VJ,
Jalen Brown,
Dean Wade,
Joelle Mede.
Why is a Dem Bono not playing center?
What the fuck are you talking about?
A dim bone is going to play
more games this year than Joel M.
Probably, probably.
What are we great the starting lineup when they're whole?
When they're whole, I think I'll give it a B minus.
That's fair.
You're more talented now, getting Jalen Brown and Paul George in a vacuum is good.
Very few defenders, very few passers in this lineup.
I'm going a minus.
It's a lot of buckets here.
It's going to be very, very hard to, it's going to be very hard to stop.
And I do think that every, obviously you would like your starting five to be this very, like,
balance well-rounded machine where everybody can can fit perfectly but if you're opening a lineup
he's just like we're going to come out here we're going to put 40 on you in the first quarter
that could be very very valuable i don't think they're going to be that level of offense though
do you think there's going to be a top three offense in the league they might score 50 in night
yeah in the first quarter oh you're trying 50 points per game i don't see a top three offense in the
league i don't think i think i could see at best maybe a top seven offense in the league and that's
mainly driven by like, you know, they have like tier one athletes.
Yeah.
Point guard, shooting guard and small for it.
It's ridiculous.
It's incredibly hard to stop that level of speed and really strength from Julian Brown.
Yeah.
I think if DJ Edgecombe becomes a fantastic defender, this can mean a starting five.
That's a lot to ask if Vijay Edgecombe in year or two, I'll go B minus for now.
Yeah.
All right.
Next.
Next.
A plus business B minus fit.
Next one.
Boston Celtics.
Other side of the trade.
Paying.
Derek White, Paul George, Jason Tatum,
Nemeas Kada.
Yo, Derek White looks balder than ever, man.
That doesn't even look like Derek White for real.
Balder than bald.
We will go...
Still bald.
We'll go B.
Too bald.
B minus you.
I woulda.
I like this lineup, like,
from a basketball fit-wise,
better than what Philly has to offer.
Philly obviously has a win more town,
so that trumps the conversation.
But the fit,
honestly, I could see an A.
Yeah, I think it wasn't a great trade to get up
two first-on-picks. I mean, to get
just Paul George and two first-on picks for J-Lam Brown.
But I do think Paul George would feel like a glove.
And if Jason Tatum is back to being Jason Tatum,
if Derek White hopefully can make threes again this year
and isn't just a lost cause as a shooter,
this lineup really checks all the boxes.
Yeah, it's still good bump, man.
Good bump.
You're completely out on the team.
No, not.
You haven't been high on your team
since they made the trade.
What do you mean?
You hear that his voice?
You're doing it wrong right now.
I can hear it.
You just disrespecting him.
What are you mean?
You might need to apologize to him right now.
I don't.
I felt real pain in his voice.
I don't.
It's my guys, man.
I'm a Celtics fan too.
Is Paul Georgia guy?
Yes.
Yes.
Once you're on the team, you're one of my guys.
Look me in the eyes.
Is Paul Georgia guy?
Yes.
Yes.
Staying out of him.
Yeah.
He's going to be knocking down in threes.
He's going to do that.
He won't do that, but he's going to do that.
He's going to look like that.
Kendrick Perkinville a couple years ago.
He's dribbling in the driveway.
He's no separation at all.
I think this team is once again, just like the were last year,
going to be a top defense and a top offense in the regular season at least.
Playoffs might come around and we'll see if the lack of elite shot creation that Jalen Brown vacates is a problem.
But regular season-wise, this is going to be a top lineup in the league.
You know what would be like a terrific story if Tatum came out and like actually average like 31, 32 a game,
11 and 6 or something like that?
That would be tough.
It's happened.
That would be tough if one MVP.
Hey, man.
Off of the Jaylor Brown.
Hey, man.
He would sales it.
You do have to have a better year than Jaylon Brown had last year.
That is tough.
He set the bar pretty fucking out.
Give me 32 to him.
It's a lot of points.
Yeah.
There's a lot of opportunities.
Yep.
Yeah.
They don't need it because you think Paul George playing 82 games?
Fuck no.
Damn.
He's not doing it.
Well, he would do it last year.
Actually, no.
No, no.
He got hurt before.
He could play 62.
Yeah.
Is he can get suspended again?
62 games from Paul George?
Yeah, yeah, he can't.
Why not?
That's out.
Is he gonna get,
are the Fed's gonna do a sweep again?
He doesn't,
even before this year he wasn't playing 62 consistently.
Yeah, he dealt with some injuries,
but like, I don't know.
I'm gonna say no,
safe bet.
Didn't he get hurt like game one,
preseason game one last year?
I forgot about that.
Remember he hyper-extended his needs?
Oh shit, I remember, yeah.
He did a splits.
Damn.
Yeah, I feel good about the starting five.
We'll see what everything else is like.
This is a good team.
I get this a B-plus.
Next one.
Los Angeles Lakers.
As of today,
Luca, Reeves, Grimes,
Mamu, and Walker Kessler.
Four and a half white men.
This is Walker Save Me defense, bro.
Holy shit.
Yeah, we're gonna go.
Walker might save me.
You can't save you all this.
Big walk might save me.
Big walk.
So Luke is here,
and he has the actual center
that I believe in.
So I think minimum.
And also our level shooting guard.
Yeah, so I think minimum I have to go B minus, but that's probably the ceiling.
It's designed Kaminga, and by the time people are watching this, he's starting a power forward and a mom who's six man, then how do you feel?
They have the athlete there to run the four grab rebounds.
B?
Something from B minus to B.
Yeah.
Kamiga moves you half a degree.
Maybe.
If we call it a move.
So, yeah, I just don't think that this team has a lot of defense.
I do think that they can get blown by.
at a lot of spots on this starting fire yeah i'm giving it a b solid b there's just too much to
see when it comes to walker cusser and what he has to offer i haven't seen it just yet i have all the
faith in the world of walker cessler all the faith in the world in luca and reeves queen grimes
what are you prepared to show me how how much point of attack defense can you do can you bring
back nicks queen grimes if that's the case you can do that and with comminga there if we can get
camingo grab with the rebounds wearing a transition i think he was that was a long time ago it was
But, you know, he's been in different team context
since then they haven't really needed him to be that.
Or maybe they have.
Maybe I can have more faith in JJ Reddick
to get that out of him who's proven to be a good defensive coach.
Wasn't he going to, like, the first quarter of last year?
No, last year he was dog shit
and Sixers fans hated him.
He wasn't making threes at all.
But he was pretty good in the beginning
of the season before that when he was at the Mavericks
before they blew it up and traded Luca.
But Sixers fans hated him.
He had a bad year.
No.
If Camina's here, I'll go B-plus.
Okay.
With Mamu starting his defense,
is pretty stinky.
But I do think Mamo and Kessler
offensively can be amazing.
We'll see.
So I think with Mamo,
they can be the best offense in the league,
but they're not defending anybody
with Mamo with the four.
Yeah, we're going to be minus.
Okay.
Can you get him save me?
Oh, what a sentence.
What do you got from you, Kaminga?
Minnesota Timberwolves,
lamello ball, presumably Iia with the two
and at the three,
dating at the four.
And Gobert at the five.
Already, we made this trade
so that it doesn't have
have to play out of position.
Now he's a wink stop.
And now he's a three.
This is tough.
Now, the starting lineup, the issue with the, with the wolves has been that their depth has been
deteriorating every single year.
And the starting lineup has mainly stayed intact.
I do think that this five is still an A.
I think that the starting five is still good.
Now, ask me about six through 10.
We don't, we might have create new letter grades.
Yeah.
We don't, we don't know about that.
But this five and these players are, they're going to fit well offensively.
Rudy you know is going to hold everything down.
We might get another leap from Jaden McDaniels.
This is going to be a good team.
It's not be one of the best starting fives in the league.
Like the complimentary nature of Lamello's passing and scoring and then Jaden and Gobert's defense is crazy.
Like they check every box you'd want besides like maybe one more rebounder.
Yeah.
I just wish that Ayo wasn't starting because I think he's more valuable off the bench.
But if this is what they truly do, then still regardless of fact, this is a super talented starting five.
Trying to start Taryn Shannon?
Who?
Trying to start Taryn Shannon?
You're going to have to.
You can sell me on something else if you want, but these are their five best players.
Jalen Clark, what are you prepared to do about it, man?
Hey, loki.
Take a shooting leap.
Something, man.
Can you give me like 33% from three point line?
That's all I'm asking for.
Can I need more?
The bar is low.
33 and it are getting to 40.
To start, it's not that low.
It's not that low at all.
For Jalen Clark?
36.
For anybody.
Listen, man, I'm just trying to be.
Dan Clark's like six four
You better shoot the ball
He's not a huge guy
The overall very good line up
Lamello's and he brings the best head of Angoubert
Next one
I give it a
Minnesota
Charlotte Hornets
Kobe White
Concanipple
Brandon Miller
Nas Reid Diabate
Kobe White looks crazy in this picture
His hair's gigantic
Yeah his hair is everywhere
He looks majestic
Damn
Nas read a part of this offense
That's a lot of three points here
way more spacing than Miles Bridges.
Yeah, who didn't offer really anything to the game at all.
Yeah.
The spaces would be outlandish.
This is going to have nothing to the camera.
I don't care.
It's a new way to say to something.
We won't miss you even a little bit.
The spacing is going to be fucking outlandish with the offensive rebounding of Diabotty.
It creates second chance opportunities off of that.
Kobe White can slash a little bit, get some paint touches with that spacing.
The fit is there.
Is Kobe White good enough as a playmaker to make it all work?
Is the question?
Exactly.
Who's guarding people?
Brandon Miller and Diabate.
Presumably Brandon and Khan.
Khan, what you're trying to do from?
Diabate's hustling.
Because like, Nas isn't,
Nas isn't guarding it.
He's getting his hand up.
That's about it.
Okay, he can put his hand up.
I don't think Kobe Writers is guarding anybody for real.
Kobe Wai.
He tries.
Not the biggest guy.
Is the shot?
Shots still might go in.
And it may not be like his fault necessarily,
but the shots are still making it over those.
I'm not sure.
What?
Seriously.
over those yeah so I'm not I'm not sure what the with the defensive potential of this
starting five is yeah not high that's usually I'm not sure I'm sure it's not that
and that's why it does it does bring me down I see the vision I know what the Hornets
are trying to do but without without the defense I'm going B minus I'll say B minus as
well that's fair if Kobe White can be the best playmaking version of himself because
he has so much space in to work with it can be probably better than we think that's
not a given we've been asked code white to do that for like the
last, I don't know, three years and he just, that's just not him as a player.
He's never been an offensive ecosystem as good.
He's playing for the Bulls.
The Bulls, if the Bulls had one thing, their offense was like consistently decent.
Yeah, decent.
This might be like the third best offense in the league.
We'll see, man.
We'll see.
We will see because maybe, or maybe they just missed Lamello entirely and it was a terrible
idea to ship him out.
And maybe they were like the 11th best offense.
They just crumbles.
That would be so bad.
Maybe Lamello was the answer.
17th best offense.
on the way.
That would be baffling.
Dude, that would be horrendous.
Everybody would get fired.
That next one.
Miami Heat's.
Dave Yon Mitchell,
THJ,
Andrew Wiggins,
Janus,
and Bam.
I don't like this
starting five.
I'm going C plus here.
But we have Yonis and Bam.
The defensive ceiling
and floor are both crazy
and Davey on Mitchell
at the point of attack,
your defense is going to be elite.
That's easily...
If you saw an offensive version
of this with the mid-defense,
you'd probably feel pretty good about it.
Yeah.
Well, here we are.
I would.
The defensive version.
It's not one to one.
Why not?
You don't respect defense now?
Come on now.
Like, listen, you got, you do have to, you do have to score points.
Like, and so they, I don't trust their ability to score consistently and often.
If only they have one of the greatest scores of all time in the power four position.
I thought you don't talk about BAM.
They got two of the greatest scores of all time.
They got BAM.
You know, Williams can give you like a cool of 15 points per game.
Tim Hardaway, Jr. literally did that off the Bamb.
bench, you give you 14.
It's my average 50 a night.
I don't think it's a bad lineup. It's not perfect.
You're right. They're one shot creator away from being like an A lineup.
If that was, I don't know who at shooting guard, you could expect to see that.
If that was Tyler Hero shooting guard, maybe I'd be more moved.
And I'd be like, oh, I see all the vision.
They don't have enough dribbling.
But I think the defense is so high that I'm still going to give it a B plus.
Yeah.
I'll go B plus.
I'll go B flat. Let me not glaze too much.
B flat.
I think this is. I'm going to see plus.
Outside of the timber wolves, like this is.
They have like the strongest defense here.
Probably stronger than the Timberwolves, honestly.
Oh yeah, definitely strong in terms.
Yeah, so I give this to B plus.
Yonnes and Bam is going to move mountains defensively, man.
How are you going to score in the paint?
And also offensively too.
Like, it's hard to guard two bigs that are that mobile.
Facts?
You said floaters.
Runners?
Yeah, you're right.
Who has bigs that can keep up with those guys like the dribble?
That mobile?
They're going to give a lot of teams issues.
Got to flick that rights together.
Like Yon Gitch is going to have hell trying to guard one of these two.
You can't hide anyone at all.
me B plus.
B plus.
This is a good team.
You got to keep your hand open on the floater.
Follow through, follow through.
No, you don't follow through.
You got to keep it open.
Soft touch.
Come on, man.
All right, next.
No spin on the ball.
Toronto Raptors quickly Barrett,
Kauai Barnes and Jakob.
At the starting five?
Jacob at the five.
They won like 44 games last year.
With Brandon Ingram in place of Kauai Leonard.
Whatever that means.
whatever that means.
Now they have Kauai.
Now they have super Brandon Ingram.
Multiple Pokemon evolutions upwards.
Super Ingram.
I give this an A, honestly.
A?
Yeah, because I think Scottie Moore's ready to make that leap.
Me too.
I can't go A on part of Yaka Pernel holding down the fucking center of the court.
I guess.
Maybe he gets healthy and bounces back a little bit.
Yeah.
B plus to A minus.
If they get a different starting center, I'll go A.
Again, we talked about it when they got Ingram.
We were like, listen, Ingram was not that great.
Getting a shot clear next to Scotty Barnes will change his life.
We cannot forget where Scottie Barnes was two years ago
with no shot creation being forced to get it out the mud,
shooting the ugly-gates mid-range jumpers.
Ingram represented not that.
Now we got another step forward.
This is going to be a very good team.
I'll go B for them.
I think I can't overlook Yacca Brin.
I can't do it.
He's hard to miss.
He's large.
He's just too big.
Now, when we go to this lineup and it's C&B there, that moves me.
I like that more
Do we just start C&B?
Sure
No centers
Scotty grabbed them boards
You can do it
All right fuck it
Put C&B there at center
And now we're starting that
What do you give it?
A plus there we go
Okay
You got Jordan and Pippin
There you go
Next one
Milwaukee Bucks
Who's a mean man
Ryan Rollins
Tyler Hero
Jaime Hockage Jr.,
Kyle Cuswa
and Miles Turner
We didn't have to set them up like this
And it is
Tell us to John Horse
I didn't set this up
It is stuff because
like you know those games where you combine the two teams and it's like can this team beat the san Antonio spurs can these two teams beat the Oklahoma City Thunder together this team ain't beat nobody man they're not being the nets right now
I'm real I'm giving this an F I don't know if they're beating the Shanghai Sharks right now I don't know if I can give them an F because Ryan Rawlins is good what's your team's name uh who met me
you can beat the nuggets we have a chance fuck out of it where's that from
Gil's Arena
RIP
RIP
It was
Rasham McCants
talking about
European teams
can beat NBA teams
And when he played
And I think
with Lithuania
He was like
We can beat the NBA
Chams
We have a chance
And he'd
And they asked him
His team name
He said
He meant man
He sounded like
He's gonna cry
You can be
We have a chance
I'm like
Barely exaggerating
By the way
I need it
I'm gonna look up
That clip
After the show
That's funny
I'll lose by 200
That's what this team would do
Lose by 200
Yeah this is one of these teams in the NBA
This is the 25th offense and 22nd defense in the league
That's too much credit defensively
26th offense and 26 defense in the league
There we go
As you know
Flip that 24th offense
27th defense
How do you figure that?
I think Hero can get some buckets
no
Ryan wants to give you 20
my bad
no this is a team
waiting to like
trade people
the deadline
this is gonna be a great
seller season
when we get
two first on picture
Ryan Rollins
two first on picture
Tyler Hero
and we'd
salary dump Kyle Kuzma
to like
I don't know
a tech company
that wants his
genius mentorship
yeah just send them to
I don't know
North Korea or somewhere
send him to open AI
apparently he has ideas
yeah
he'd be so big on
startup culture now
he's so cringe
yeah
he's on Twitter
just never mind
Yeah, this is
He wants to get traded to the Warriors, actually
He does.
This is a nice little F lineup,
but what do you expect after you trade, Janice?
Yeah.
Next one.
They thought this was going to make Yonis stay.
Portland Trailblazers.
John Morant,
Damian Lillard,
Denny Avdia,
Tumani Kamara and Donovan Klingin.
It's so funny.
All these players right here
got something to prove.
Tumani had a wonky year
to start out.
Their fans fucking hated him
because he forgot to shoot.
Denny,
good three-level score,
and he made it all-star team,
so I guess he's the most proven guy.
here dame coming off
Achilles, Jaws Jha, and Donovan
Klingin, you were ass in the first round.
He was horrible to playoff.
He said, Danny.
I got to give him a little bit credit.
I said, dude he?
Yeah.
I cannot
understand how you make a good defense
with Damien Lillard post Achilles at
35 and Jah Morant on the same court.
You don't.
You don't even try.
We're not worried about that.
You know what?
I can also barely understand.
Thank you.
Somebody understands the method.
We don't care about any of those, any of your stocks.
We don't care about, we don't care about any of your, what do you call point of attack?
What is that?
Here's the thing.
What is that?
What is a defensive slide?
The fuck is a table setting.
Come on.
That means nothing to me.
The problem is, I also don't know.
they score well enough with those guys.
I don't even know if they hoop.
How are they going to defend
because they can't bring them.
Stop asking that question. You have to play defense.
We just talk about this, man.
You don't.
You don't.
Are you listening?
You don't have to do it.
And that's the trap that everybody
falls into.
You're being brainwashed right now.
And the defense matters?
You want to play like everybody else.
Go be different.
Go do something else.
Okay.
Go be on some other shit, man.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, okay.
It'll be different.
You're right.
You're right.
Come on, yeah.
Very inspiring.
And what type of other shit is John Damon as a duo?
You know, in between, like in commercial race, they got the dudes to jump on the trampolines.
John needs to be like that.
John needs to jump off the trampolines, man.
When he's mid-air, you think you can't block him?
What is Dave?
Is Dame?
I need John throwing mid-air he-hees to Dame in the corner right there.
And that's how we're playing off.
You never know what innovators do, man.
If Jaws and the Treblink kids.
They think I'm crazy.
My definition,
innovators, you don't know what they do.
Next thing you know,
top five offense.
And they're one genius.
Come on now.
Anyway, this is a D.
They try to act like,
he never said anything right.
That's a bar.
That's a bar.
So if Java rat is a trampolink is,
can Dane be the Chihuahua
that has the ball in his nose?
He still got a little something.
Yeah.
It's going to be the Chinese lady with the with the pots on the head red panda
Yeah red panda she's lit man
It's ain't she's underpaid okay
Her books came out on Twitter
Wait really
Yeah
Her rate card came out
And everyone's like yo you are mad underselling yourself
Wow
She just does it for the love of the game
Respect
She loves the balance
I mean we're else you're going to do that
She can't do it at home
Should we booker?
On the show?
She'll be in the middle right there.
It's the entire show for three hours.
I think the ceiling is high.
She'll get the three bowls and stop.
Next one.
Oh, my God.
Brooklyn Ness,
Mikhail Brown Jr.,
Jemann, Michael Porter Jr.,
Julius Randall and Dayron Sharp.
This is no shade to them because like individually you can see the vision with all of these players.
This lineup is stupid.
It's just dumb.
It doesn't make any sense.
It's one of the more random collections of people that we've ever seen.
Collections of people.
Random collections is an interesting way to put it.
What's a random about McKell Brown and J-Hore?
What's wrong?
Come on, man.
McCall Brown and Jolman are one team and then Michael Porter Jr. and Julius Randall are another team.
It's a random.
This is what you said earlier.
You get two teams and combine them to make their best five.
This is what you get.
Two timelines to a T and the day run short.
He's just in his own world.
He's just trying to hoop for him.
Yeah.
Outside the bin diagram.
He's quiet for him until you get to know him.
God.
Yeah.
Everybody else is talking, chattering while Jody's trying to go over,
plays and stuff.
Thereon's like.
And then we got Jody.
We got a genius trying to get them in line with Mokka-Fort.
Junior's like let me hoop
Two young guys
Two fours I need to be traded tomorrow
And a genius trying to put it all together
36 wins
C minus C
It'll be fun
Yep C it'll be solid
I can watch it
And I can have fun watching it
You're two gentlemen
What you got for me
If you make a leap maybe I can see the vision
I'm gonna see
One of the most suicide squads
I've ever seen
But not even that though
Because we had two young core players
It's so weird
We've got the blue beetle
To the suicide squad
They're gonna be decent
We're getting this D minus D plus?
I give this a C.
A C?
They can win 30 games and end up with like a top three pig next to you.
For some reason,
for some reason,
Nightwing is there.
I don't know.
Oh, wait,
they don't have their pick next year, right?
I got to,
no,
damn,
no, it's a swap.
Damn.
So they're here for love of the game?
Fuck.
They have to be decent.
They have no choice.
Next one.
Los Angeles Clippers,
Darius Garland,
Keen Wogler,
Brandon Ingram,
Ruya Hachimorah and Brooke Lopez
Yo, this is a frail ass team
That first three is tough
I've never seen a stupider line
If I'm not gonna lie
That first four
Who's grabbing rebounds on this team
Don't tell me Brooke Lopez
He hasn't done that in several years
He's wagglo
Don't tell me Ruiz if Ruhr could grab rebounds
He'd be a Laker
There's no way
Keaton
He'don
Hell nah
Super hell nah
Yonah
Yon like has to start
I don't think Brooke Lopez
is gonna start
For this team
he had like nothing to this team at all other than like you're saying it's brooke lopez
no he's good to pair with brann and ingru
yeah yeah just super fuck no give me yonick at the starting lineup in the starting lineup
okay so let's say yonick starts doesn't move anything actually
it just looks better i like garland a lot i like wagner a lot as a prospect
end of sentence
D
I think
one of the most interesting things
is like whenever teams
like new teams
or like new lineups get formed
like I'm looking at these five guys
I'm just wondering
what are they gonna talk about
you know like in the locker room on the bench
what does Keating Wagma have to say
to Brandon Ingram
what is he curious about his life
what is he curious about
so glow
that might be it.
Guaranteed he don't pay attention to that.
You said the Nets are one of the most random
assortment of players. This is way more random.
All these guys are in completely different stages of their career.
This is truly a randomizer of names
with like quite literally zero rhymeer reason about why they should play together.
They all pretty much have like nothing alike.
It's like a team he built on 82 and O.
Oh, and you're the worst 820 drafter of all time.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's an expansion team lineup.
It'll be interesting to watch
This is the Seattle Super Sonics in three years
Literally, yeah
They built a dome for this lineup
They got a thousand bathrooms
They gentrified Englewood
For this
From behind Keene Wagler
From behind Keen Wagler
Inglewood is down bad
Because of Brandon Ingram
And Kea Waglin
They're gonna tear down American
deli for this
fuck
your wings sound good
right now
from Maryland
you're hilarious
you got the last one
we're on man
we gotta go
American Deli
do they have those are
I don't know
I don't think I've seen
I was about the one
over there
I had it one time
in Englewood
they have one there
by the stadium
pretty good
that's great
people from
Atlanta
made me think
it was going to be
life changing
it wasn't that
but it was good
just like good consistent comfort food
yeah it was cool
next thing we're gonna do
I'm gonna name to you
NBA big threes
five of them
you tell me if they're better or worse
than Luca Reeves and Kessler
all right
three great whites let's do it
let me know which one you rather have
level one
Snowtime Lakers or Booker
Brooks and Miles Bridges
if there's somebody else
other than bridges
maybe
even then what the fuck
Bill and Brooke.
Booker and Brooks.
Booker's not even better than
Austin Reeves right now.
That says a lot.
He's closer to him,
but he's closer to his peers
and he is to Lucas.
Yeah.
We'll go with Snowtime.
You'd be goddamn right.
You will.
Snow time, Lakers.
Level two, Palo, Franz, and Bain.
Uh,
I mean, when they play together.
Would Walker Kessler be their best player?
No.
Slow down.
No.
You tell me, you offer me,
Palo, Ben, careful for Walker straight up.
I'm slamming the door on your face.
for glazing
Kestha hasn't played
him.
I know.
He's the great white
hope.
What do you want?
I got to tell myself
to optimism
or shit gets spooky.
We'll go
we'll go with snow time here.
I think we have to.
Yeah.
They just match up better.
Because even as hypothetical
and as hypothetical
as snow time is,
the magic also
have not gotten
like the best version
of their trio.
They're also a hypothetical
trio.
It's a three year hypothesis
and we haven't really seen
anything happen yet.
So I will go snow time.
Yeah.
Okay.
Level three.
Jason Tatum, Derek White, and Paul George.
Now we get interesting.
A lot of defense there.
No Luca Dodgers there.
I don't even think there's Austin Reeves
as an offensive player there outside of Tatum.
Tatum White and Paul George.
There's two great role players in White and Paul George.
Tatum's better than Luca.
Yeah, sure.
Tatum's better than Luca.
More complete of a player.
When it's a championship already.
He does play the in the right way.
Yep, yep, yep.
Okay, Derek White, bald, defense.
This is true.
Beard.
None of those guys
got a beard
All defensive guy, yeah.
Yep, yep, yep.
Arthur Reeves will never be
on all defense.
He won't.
Like, Derek White doesn't make shots,
but why don't even want
your second option to make shots?
You should really just want
them to play defense.
Paul George has been in the league
for a long time.
He has more experience
to Walker Kessler.
And also he has a show too.
Walker Kessler could never have a show.
He does have a show.
Does he have a show anymore.
I think Paul George stopped doing that.
Oh, so he's locked in.
Potentially.
Okay.
Unless he relapses
and picks up that mic.
Oh, shit.
Maybe.
Snow time?
We go to snow time.
Oh, it's no time.
You go to snow time.
Level four,
Janus,
Bam and Wiggins.
Now we get a team
that has one of the best players
in the world that's just as good as Luca.
So this is really like a
truly a Wiggins
versus Kessler debate.
Nasty.
And who you trust more
next year.
I don't know if I,
well,
we know what Wiggins is going to be.
There's not really a trust factor
involved.
Wiggins is Wiggins.
It's more about your belief in Kessler.
Yeah.
I think Wiggins is just Kessler.
It's probably just as good as Wiggins.
You'll never be Wiggins.
If Luca improves K-Path.
You'll never be an All-Star,
elected by K-Pop fans.
True.
He was All-Star.
I forget.
That's a once-and-lifetime moment
nobody can take from him.
If Luca improves Kessler's 0%
with his passing,
I think he's equal to Wiggins.
If Luca does anything to me,
make Kessler better he smoked Wiggins
I think I'm
going to go the Miami heat
simply because Walker can't guard fucking
everybody, bro. He's going to be
exhausted every single player. Good luck
Gordon-Reeves. Yeah,
for sure. They're going to put up like 130
while giving up 160.
Yeah, I'll go
in Miami. I might see undecided
but I'll go with Miami.
I just can't go with the Lakers right now.
Wiggins.
If they kept Norm Powell, I would understand this.
Wiggins.
Kessler.
Kessler's done nothing
in his career so far.
So it's like,
sorry how I'll
shed a tear of joy
if you got to put on this
a hawks right now.
Would I?
Yes.
For two picks?
Yes.
Give him like $40 million to?
I don't know about that one.
Reasonable salary.
I don't know about that one.
Dyson Daniels money.
Set a tear?
He's paid Dyson and Daniels that much money.
I can be behind that.
I can't pay Dyson and that much money.
I can you behind that now.
But yeah, I'm going on Miami.
yeah Miami beat snow time the great white hopes could not make it to level five
level five would have been Webby Fox and Castle yeah oh yeah it's over yeah when B's
arguably the best player in the NBA Lucas arguably number two
I'm not even making an argument myself what happens when Kessler and Reeds are both
All-Stars next year then what again keep on telling you got it like what are the
chances that happen you know they have to win like 70 games in order for
What the fuck?
Calm down.
Yeah.
They have to do like 70 games.
All three for Kessor to be an all-star?
Do you know what they're with 70 games?
Yeah, you do.
For Kessor to be an all-sars?
Yes.
Cat-Mobair and Ant made it all together.
They did?
Yeah.
That one year.
I'm sure there was some like injurer places.
No, they're the ones.
So like,
yeah.
You have to be tracking for like 65 wins.
Yeah.
Or like 60 realistically, probably.
No, fuck that 70.
Next thing we're going to do.
NBA Free Agency is mostly finished.
A few moves let to happen.
The LeBron James Domino hasn't fallen yet,
but most things have already occurred.
So we asked you guys to give us your best hot takes
related to free agency and how it affects the rest of the league this year.
We're going to see if it's a W or an L take.
Okay.
So first off, what we got?
Beasoles get ready to read.
Okay.
All right.
If Kauai was about eight years younger,
he and Scotty Barnes would be the modern-day version of Pippet and Jordan.
Sure.
Eight years younger, that's a long time.
That's a decade ago.
That was a long time ago.
Okay.
You got it.
I get this a W take.
You got it.
This is the same thing.
Like, once you start going too far back in history, you could say whatever you want.
Well, I don't know about whatever you want because he said literally be the modern version.
So you're saying 2018 in Kauai and Scott, he wins six for eight.
Hey.
Who might say, no.
Come on now.
I mean, we knew that Kauai was a good player eight years, eight years ago.
He wasn't playing for.
Oh, eight years ago, was he?
No, seven years ago, I won a championship.
Eight years ago, he missed a year.
But nevertheless, let's just assume he means seven years ago.
Okay, okay, okay.
So you have, you have Pete Kauai, Scotty Barnes?
Yeah.
Is that the best do in the league?
It's, uh, no.
It's one of them, but because like seven years ago?
2019 Kauai and Scottie Barnes.
Is that the best duo in the league?
2026, Scottie Barnes, 2019, Kauai.
Wembe and somebody.
Somebody, pick your poison?
Yeah, either in Castle Harbor, whatever.
I think I'll take 22.
22, Steph and
Draymond over them.
I mean right now.
In today's league, would they be the best?
You should say
Shane Chet?
Or Shane Jadob?
I would take Shane J-Dub.
That's a combo.
That's a good debate to me, I think.
I would take Shane J-J-Doh.
Over 2019 Kauai and Scotty Barnes?
Yeah, Shea's just as good as 2019-Kauai.
J-Dub's pretty similar-ish to Scotty.
Scottie's better, I think, but like it's a debate.
It's close.
Yeah, it's not like a wash at all.
Yeah, I can go with the way.
I would understand the argument for the Raptors, for sure.
But I mean, I get the point that they're saying.
So you know what W take?
And in spirit W take.
All right.
Next.
The Lakers are insanely underrated.
They're making it to the conference finals this year.
Conference finals.
So obviously, that's not a given.
What has to happen for the Lakers who made the conference finals?
What do you need to see for, if I tell you that does happen, what would have happened
between now and then?
J.
J. Dub and A.J. Mitchell missed the same line.
Okay.
Thunder get new by injuries.
Yes.
Like probably.
because if you make the conference finals,
you're probably just a healthy team.
Yeah.
But what else?
What on the Laker side on top of injury look?
On the Laker side,
you know,
someone makes a miraculous defensively
in their back court.
You sign John to Caminga
and you make him into Aaron Gordon.
You finally convince him to do the little things
because he has a physical capabilities.
If he does a little things,
he can do that type of thing.
We got to stop holding out
this hope for Cominga, man.
You're probably right,
but that's the type of shit that needs to happen.
I know you said it so many times today.
I'm just like,
I've said that one time today.
I don't know.
I can't.
I can't.
I haven't uttered Aaron Gorda's name a single time until now.
No, no, the Kaminga Leap.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I can't co-sign.
Well, I said the Kamingo presence earlier.
I don't say anything about a leap until now.
I can't get behind that.
I don't have a hope for it either.
But that's not a thing you need to see.
And you need to see Walker Kessler, like, be the fifth best center in the league
and make that magical leap next to Luca.
That's a leap, man.
Fifth best center?
Yeah, get into like check combos.
He could do that.
Kamingas, Aaron.
Last year he was for a few games.
games that he played, he did have like a lot of eyebrow raising moments.
If I tell you he's a seventh best center, I won't be shocked even a little bit.
It's not hard to be.
It's on the high end.
He might not be that.
But like he can be the seventh best center.
If he can be the seventh best center, if he can Meega locks in and defense if they sign him?
Quinn Grimes depends.
Like, I guess there's a world in which this could happen, but I'm not betting on it.
So I think the, from everything that we're describing, what really is the key is,
can J.J. Reddick just make everybody lock in defensively and elevate and elevate everybody
everybody and put everybody in positions to where
as like the
some of their parts is greater than the individuals
as defenders and now you can
and now you have
Walker and if he's not Rudy
Gobert that's okay you're just not
the worst perimeter defending group
in the league and so a lot of it
does land at the feet of JJ
JJ and Walker and you know what
I do trust JJ to do that to some degree
I don't know if it's best case scenario for everybody
but I do have faith in him to get the most
out of a lot of these players yeah I mean
if there's one thing that JJ has proven consistently
throughout his short NBA career as a coach
he's gotten the most out of his players
defensively and gimmicked up the best defense is possible
he will pull out of the gimmick yeah exactly
with like the low amount of defensive talent that he's had
so I believe in that for sure
and I do believe they're going to be the best offense in the league
or at least in the running like I think the lineups
that have Mamu Luca and Reeves are going to be
and Kessler out there too at the five with the lot threat
those are going to be like impossible to guard
so if you can tell me I trust Jager on the defense
I trust Luca and the wide array of ball handling and shooting, they could be a dark horse
make the conference finals.
I think I'll say W take for the part that they're insanely underrated.
I don't know if they make the conference finals, but I do think they're being underrated
because of like name value not being as high as people want.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Next take.
Isaac should go ball for the summer.
W take.
Think I straight?
You got to try it.
Just for the summer?
Yeah.
Bro, it's hot these days, man.
You're going to Vegas this weekend.
You still going to keep the beard?
Yeah, yeah, you have to.
Oh, I'm not full ball.
That'd be crazy.
Yeah,
full ball
that's kind of
nuts.
But yeah.
You've ruined the whole look.
I'd be so mad,
bro,
I couldn't be here
with you just like
straight looking like
a kneecap.
Hell no.
What if I do the like
fucking trendy
just mustache?
Don't do that.
Again, no,
I'd be scared.
Don't do that.
I can't do that.
What about your mustache?
Skinny mustache
and a little bit of chin hair.
What is this?
2002?
You can't do that.
You could do some.
Pit bull.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
You could do something to me.
Dollar.
Hey, head ass.
Okay.
Big chop?
Big chop, yeah.
Buzz it.
And grow back by the summer.
This guy's name is Logan 6'7.
Great W-Take.
Yeah, I agree with this.
All right, next.
I think the Celtics are still going to be a top three seed even without Jalen Brown.
Who said this?
I agree.
This is a great take.
Regular season-wise, I don't think they'll lose a step.
Playoffs, we'll probably miss Jatham Brown.
We'll see how the rest of the guys, you know, fill in his absence.
But I think regular season-wise, there's still going to be a great mid-50 win team.
Yeah, I agree.
And if they are, I fully expect Tatum to be an MVP on the MVP ballot.
Or he would be like at least number two on that list.
I don't think he's going to win it because I think Lee's just aware of Wemby
and he's in his natchy rabbit.
But Tatum, this is like the best narrative year for you.
You're setting him up.
You know he's not good enough to win an MVP ever.
I'm not sitting up.
What do you mean?
I'm so excited to see high usage Tatum, man.
I'm not going to be.
Yeah.
If there was ever a year, this is the year.
There's never a year.
He's not good enough.
He's professionally just below MVP level.
He always has like a really hot start to the season.
And then once we get to like January, he starts cooling down.
He's always going to be at best, the third or fourth guy that gets his name in the hat.
But we're going to get the votes to Shay and Wembe and Luke or whatever.
Now, what if this is the source of, of beef between him and Jan and Brown where Jane and Brown's like, man, I've had to sacrifice all this.
And JT's like, I've sacrificed.
I could have been out here.
dominating the ball, getting even more numbers,
being in the MVP conversation,
but you were here.
And now we got bozos in a longhorn hat
saying I can never be an MVP because of Jalen Brown.
So I think, yeah, just did a will-win MVP this year.
And if he does it, it's a massive disappointment
and they should trade him.
I agree.
Worst contract to Lee.
Bum.
And I personally will put money on it,
so I will be personally affected
if he does not accomplish this goal.
And you'll personally hate him more.
And that'll echo throughout the show for the next several years.
100%.
Is it the same odds as the Nets make in the conference championship?
No.
Come on now.
Damn it.
Is that what you think of Tate?
He just exposed himself on the load of the odds work.
That was crazy.
All right.
Next one.
The Timberwolves have the worst bench in the NBA as of right now.
Worse than the bottom feeders.
Worse than the bottom feeders.
Worst the box bench.
That's not a hot bench.
The Bucks bench has Naden Met.
Who the Timberwolves have?
I don't know.
Tarynne Shannon Jr.
Two of them.
And like we did all of that, all the talking about Naterman.
He might be solid.
Yeah, it probably will be in some regard solid.
Yeah.
Next gen Kyle Kuzma, playing with Kyle Kuzma.
Mm.
I have no idea what the Timberwolves are going to do for their bench.
Ben's depth, yes, actually.
I mean, they do have Bones Highlands still, which is solid.
Okay.
I can't notice I just stopped after that
I don't know anyone else coming off to the bench right now
They were depending on serious time from Mike Conley
Now he's gone
Why the fuck is he a Celtic now too? That's just so ugly
Because they paid him
He should have been back in Memphis
It's just culture you know
Go out the bright way
They do have a horrible bench amongst playoff teams
It's a serious problem and if they do fail
To get back to the conference finals
And make a serious run with Lamello
Lamello will get the hate
It'll probably be because of bench
All right
Unfortunately that's because Don't see
Menceo got hurt too, so it's not really their fault.
Despite the Sacramento King's ineptitude
in the surprisingly good season from the Suns,
the Suns still have the far bleaker feature.
Yeah, when you trade a 23 unprotected first for Miles Bridges,
yeah, your future isn't too great.
Maybe I do want Darius A-Cuff.
Yeah, there's still a lot of other teams,
like the Suns, a lot of other teams have the Sun's picks.
And now that...
They're looking at their chops.
And now that you can be mid and potentially get a top-top pick,
The Sons don't get to capitalize on that at all.
Meanwhile, their big three is Booker, Booker Green.
Yeah, Jalen Green and Dylan Brooks.
That's a mid three.
But earlier, I talked about you should buy Houston Rocket Stock
because they have a pick from the Suttons.
The Phoenix Sons are an opportunity for ROI for other fan bases.
They're a value ad.
They're a good buy, low opportunity for other fan bases trying to invest.
That's crazy.
Yeah, the Kings also have all their picks too.
they just and they like wave
Demardo Rosen as well
they did that's nice
okay
it's productive
that's good time
taking efforts
yeah
I don't know
look at it both ways
yeah this is obviously
like this is like
getting stabbed versus getting shot
I don't know which version I'd want
but I don't think either these teams
have a bright feature so I'll give you a W take for the gumption
yeah I like this take this is a great hot take
All right, next.
The East is morphing into a conference with no top-tier contenders but with full,
but with full of second-tier contenders.
Full of really good teams with an obvious weakness, the East will be the Bloodbath
Conference of the next season.
Good take.
W-Take.
This conference is now deep as hell in a similar way to the West has been where
three through nine, really, are just all like very even and anybody can win.
Everybody can lose to each other as well, obviously.
W-Take.
Yeah, I think there's legitimately like three through nine.
I would even say like three through 10.
You could look at this team,
but yeah, y'all,
y'all should have made the playoffs.
I'm not throwing the hawks in there.
Stop squeezing them in a turn.
We don't care.
We don't care.
And I'll talk about the damn hornets.
We don't care.
And even the Wizards, too.
Like, all these scenes are decent.
Yeah, through 10, the east is better.
Yeah.
Then they will.
In the West?
Yeah.
I think that 10, 9, and 8 is like, that quality is better.
Better?
Better.
So.
The bottom three are better for sure.
the bottom three could be better because with all the experiments sake
let's say three through ten in the west is
Lakers, Nuggets, Timberwolves, Rockets,
both the standings. That's over that. That top four is pretty tough.
And then who would be after that?
Suns if we're going off last year.
MB 18s, one second. Jazz. They're going to be pretty respectable now.
NBA teams.
I'm going to take forever pull the standings.
Clippers are out of it. What about the Warriors get LeBron?
They're back in that? I don't know if that's going to happen.
Who would I miss?
Mavericks, are they going to be respectable?
You're going to be decent.
Decent? Yeah, you're going to be decent.
Kyrie's back now, so.
So I got the seven naming good teams.
Eight, nine, and ten might be like Trailblazers, Warriors, Mavericks.
Does the 8 through 10 in the east move you more?
I think so.
So if we're just, so one and two last year were Detroit and Boston.
Let's just put the Knicks in that first two.
Yep.
And then Boston?
You want to keep Boston?
Boston two.
So we got Pistons, Cavs, Rapt,
afters, 76ers, as the next four.
Miami, Indiana.
Indiana.
Ooh.
Okay, the mid-tier's special.
Yeah, for these, for sure.
I think the same way, and then in the same way that we're saying, oh, Utah is going
to be respectable.
I feel the same way about Washington jumping up this year.
I think they're going to be good.
Charlotte, I think they might take a slight step back, but they're also still like a good
team.
Orlando, they're frustrating, but they're going to win 45 games.
they're going to be there.
I do think that outside of the top two contenders,
the East is better.
Fair enough.
All right.
Too bad the top two contenders are crazy.
The Pistons finish outside the top four in the East next year.
Ooh, that's a hot take.
Right now I agree with this.
And right now, I'm thinking that the Pistons might be a playing team.
Whoa.
Oh, no. Come on.
I'm right now.
That's just 60 games to playing team.
Right now.
You got to stand on this one.
Because, because, first, again, because of how deep the East is,
And because of where the Knicks are, because of the fact that the Pacers are coming back,
I do think it is a very real possibility that the Pistons are outside the top six next year.
60 to the top to not top six is a crazy.
Hey, man, life comes at you fast.
And Tobias moves you that much?
Listen.
He's got better.
The only way that's, he didn't get that much better.
He's got leaps and bounds better.
The only way that's possible to me is if someone like Cade misses like, I don't know, 20 games or 15 games or something like that.
I'm not, listen, if we, so we did our predictions right now, I might not lock that in, but I,
but I, wait a, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
You might not lock, time, time, time.
I'm saying like, I'm not, we're, we're in freaking July.
I'm not 100%.
I'm a lot of just talk right now.
Yeah, I'm not, I'm not 100% on, on that they are going to finish outside the top six.
But I do think that I, right now, I think I am, I'm leaning more so that they will do that
instead of not.
You're still workshopping the thought.
I need to see if I'm
going to go all the way on it.
But like,
I see what you mean.
A lot of teams are going to get better.
Not a lot of teams
are going to get more than 60 wins though.
And let's say they fall off a little bit.
They're not getting 60 wins.
Yeah, for sure.
I don't think they're.
I know why you say that
because I agree.
They're obviously something lackluster.
What really has changed
tangibly to why they can't just do
the exact same thing?
Like their defense is not going to move at all.
And offensively,
they did nothing but had talent and shooting.
And if we're saying the east a little bit better
so they lose some of these games,
against teams that are better now.
It's like 56 wins.
Like 56 wins doesn't get you.
I don't know if they get to 55.
For what reason other than vibes?
55s.
And the vibes are bad, but beef stew
not walk through that door, man.
True.
I think that's a reason.
I could be sold on that.
I think, how important is beef stew?
Like, I like him, but.
Not very much.
He's the culture.
No, I think, I think he is, I think he is some,
somewhere important.
Okay, A way.
55 wins.
Yeah, A, A, but like,
and maybe I'm just higher on,
on Philly and them jumping up,
but when we get to,
I think my top four right now
would be New York,
Boston, Philly,
Indiana.
They really should have traded for
Jaylon Brown and I think about it.
Who?
Like the pistons.
Trade Jay Landurine?
Sure.
Whatever it takes to get Jaylen Brown in the doors.
That's what it takes.
That's a great,
great fit.
That's my,
that's my top four right now.
Okay.
Next up.
Apparently with how Brad Stevens is moving.
Oh, what it took is Ron Holland.
Next.
After the free agent.
agency signings and off season moves the Brooklyn Nets have made, they will be one of the top 16s out of the East.
Take Detroit out the top six.
Put Brooklyn in there.
And we're making 40K.
Hey, man.
Not even.
That's not how that works.
But it's okay.
He doesn't all again.
It's okay.
Is that what you said?
They have to win the Eastern Conference.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
clearly those
yeah clearly those jagor joan
pit picks and TikToks moved this guy
clearly he saw the tough fits
he saw the buttoned up shirts he saw the macha
and he was like that's a future superstar
and who am I to deny somebody to have optimism
based off of vibes who it's me specifically
who am I?
I haven't seen a lot of second year players
have that kind of aura leap
maybe that should mean something
Julius Randall coming in giving you some paint touches
Yeager Jomon, O'Leep,
Mikkel Brown Jr.
Exists.
We can get something going here.
That's a cool little nine seed.
Who's to say that can't be a six seed?
Sixth.
Yo, there has to be...
Who's to say?
An insane injury run in the Eastern Conference for guys to be six seed.
Hey, man, why not them?
I would.
Why not them?
Why not them?
I would stand on all 10.
Fucking give me three new toes, 13, that they're not doing it.
Six seed?
What?
This is a good hot take, though.
I like it.
All I'm hearing is Mo, he's them.
Stay away from them.
Somebody I feel like you'd be less stable with 13 toes.
Yeah, I would need 14.
That's mad on Ethan.
What do you mean?
Of course I'll be unstable.
I mean, some people have like nine toes and are like fine, but like even have like more toes.
No, and like they're fine.
They're fine.
They're not dead.
But like they're probably less stable than you are.
Yeah.
Of course.
Do you think that's so far?
on set
What is wrong with you?
Real question right now.
Do you think
that you would be more stable
with 10 toes
as opposed to 13
just because it's like
even an eye and a
You know
Oh shit!
Oh shit!
Exactly.
Probably, actually.
I'll be more stable with 10.
You're completely stable with 10.
There's no issue here of stability.
So like, yeah, do I think.
But if I'm giving you an extra toe on each side
and that was just a little bit more balance,
you don't think that the extra toe on each side
plus, plus then the extra one.
I don't think that that would-
How much more stable can you get though?
I think about the rest of my body
is overcompensating for that.
I don't think so because you already have one more.
And so-
You're not just going to tip over with an extra one.
But it has to be used though.
It can't be just chilling.
I don't know that it works.
So again, so you think that you would be more.
stable with just 10 toes as opposed to 13?
Yes.
I don't think it's just like additive that you add until you get X percent more stable.
I don't know where this state.
It's like it's not a video game where I'm powering up.
I don't know where the stable value add comes from.
That's so linear.
Why?
Could you have more feet to like put on the ground and like keep your like if you're standing on
your foot?
That could make sense.
Huh?
Is my foot growing?
Yeah.
Proportionally.
Yeah.
Well, that's a different statement because now the foot grows wider than we can talk.
We got to have some 1312 viewers out here, man.
They'll let us know.
Yeah, I'm sure we have 13-toe viewers
100%.
Let us know.
Let us know.
How stable are you?
Yeah.
All right, next.
Yannis is in the same situation than before he got to him.
That's tough.
This is mean.
That's mean.
I can't just hope it's not the case.
Because that is.
It's mean to bam.
It's mean to bam.
Calling him mouse turner.
My bad.
Calling him Kyle Kuzma.
Fuck.
Okay.
Yeah.
So I don't think it's the worst because also, even if the players were the same,
He was being coached by Doc Rivers last year and now supposed to his coaching him.
So it is a better situation hands down.
And so like you got the Ryan Rylins leap last year.
There's going to be two of those this year.
They're going to find them in the second round probably.
Yeah.
They're going to like sacrifice several animals to make them come into existence.
Yeah.
You got the goat magic on your side now.
They're doing all the all the video in Miami.
They know all that.
Yes, for sure.
Bleeding goats.
So when you're bleeding goats in Pat Riley's office,
you can't be in the same situations before
L take.
I'm looking out for everybody with Tom
brother.
I think I have homeless men just doing
back to back to back
triples, triples, triples, triples, triples,
can you do something for me?
Everybody.
Who's up next?
Ruehachamara will be an all-star next year.
You are at Chimala.
That is an original sentence.
No one's ever said this edition.
What does he have to do to be an all-star next year?
Not since he was like year one in Washington
and wizard fans were like,
oh yeah, he's gonna, he's gonna pop.
Even then, I don't think people were saying,
Rory Hachamor is going to be an all-star next year.
I've never heard anyone say that in their entire life,
even as a draft prospect.
New sentences are being formed.
They've never been formed before.
Rui does have a good triple threat, though.
Yeah, it's like a fake triple threat.
He's just going to shoot.
Exactly.
It's like when Shangoon does a pump fakes will fall for,
he just lifts his arm up.
Why are you jumping at that?
Yeah, facts.
That's Rui's triple threat.
You've seen that,
Luca Dantus meme where Josh Giddy just
pump fakes hell out of all.
Luke was like,
It's going to be like that
It's a big looking for passes
El take but W original sentence
It's not a lot of those these days
It's hard to say things that nobody's ever said before
You accomplish that
Good for you W
Our next
Celtics and Sixers will remain in about the same spots
Next year
Both will have similar regular season performance as this year
And both will be first or second round exits
That'd be quite the funny outcome
If we all this talk about the Jalen Brown trade
And if nothing changes
Nobody's moved either way
by Jalen Brown or Paul George.
That would be catastrophic for the six years.
I thought I was a fan.
I'd be so disappointed if you just, again,
was like a 44 or 45 win team.
And I wanted to happen.
So W take.
W.T.
Walker Kessler will have a breakout season
and shine alongside Luca,
cementing himself as a top five center
in today's NBA.
This is too much propaganda.
W take.
This is too much propaganda.
That's a good take.
No.
I'll guess he's like the eighth or ninth best center,
conservatively.
Five as possible.
I'm going to guess he's like, oh, this guy's a little bit better than Jared Allen.
I mean, that could be like the combo.
Who are the five best centers in the league right now?
Wemby.
Wemby, Yokic, cat, number three.
Bam's there too.
Are we counting Anthony Davis as a center?
We can.
You wouldn't want to see.
He's not in my top five right now.
He's probably number four.
Bam, Chet.
That's like the top tier.
Go bear.
Seven.
That's the top tier.
Whatever order.
Not on order.
Those are the seven elite centers in the league right now.
Can he be eight?
Man, Sabonis.
He can damn sure be better than Sabon.
Shangoon.
Can he be as good as Shangoon?
That's the question.
Probably.
Yeah, it'll look different for sure.
He could probably get there.
That level of talent, yeah.
Yeah, that's not top five.
That's not the original question here.
I guess you lose L take, but we're moving it down and saying can he be in Sabonis talks?
It's like the eighth best center.
W. Take.
I can see it happening.
All right.
Next.
Rui did a whole Shohei Otani and it's awesome.
What's that?
What does that mean?
He did a reverse.
He did a reverse.
Bees-old.
What do you think that means, Bissol's?
That's something to do with Asians, but I don't...
That was so fucking racist of you.
What this means is changing Los Angeles teams.
Oh.
And you assume this was about Asians.
I mean, it's kind of the same thing.
What?
Is it, it's an Asians?
Dig, though.
Yeah.
Dig, though.
Yeah.
Dick, though.
I'm not going to see here and say that.
that rude not Asian.
I mean, it's undeniable.
It's actually the same thing.
It's an Asian changing, changing L.A. team.
Where was showing before?
He was in Anaheim.
He was in the Little Brother L.A. team
to move to the Big Brother.
But Rurie did the reverse.
He went from the Big Brother to the Little Brother.
Okay.
This is not even how to take this is just facts.
I tried throwing you into the bus.
He grabbed you.
He saved you.
Hell yeah.
I tried putting him in a limelight, see how you'd react.
He didn't want to see that.
You got a real ally.
It's my all teammates, man.
Yep.
All right, next.
And it's awesome.
It's funny.
Yeah.
John Morant will be top 20 player.
You lost me.
John Moran will be a top 20 player again.
He's lost up to the...
Oh, my God.
He's...
He's...
Stop.
Yeah.
Stop.
Yeah.
Stop.
I won't look.
I won't look.
He's lost to athleticism.
Hell, yeah.
It was very shifty.
and an amazing laymaker.
That's what it says.
If he can get to like 50, 35-85 flits,
I can easily see him leading Portland to a top 60.
50?
50% from the field with his shot diet?
Damn.
He can be in generous with the 35-2.
Did he shoot 50 in 2022?
I don't think he ever did.
That's crazy.
If John Rankin can be the best he's ever been
despite having no athleticism,
no burst,
and none of the abilities before,
he can be all right.
Turning from the lowest point of his career.
His career high is 49.3%.
Okay.
All right, around there.
And guess what?
In that year, he wasn't at the 35 that he just projected.
He's at 34.
He wasn't 85% from the line.
He wasn't at 85 either.
He's at 76.
Yeah, I know.
He's not an 85% of it.
So, yeah, a career year from John Morant is on the way.
He can be the best version of himself after falling off.
The trail budget can be a six-eat.
Let's get John Morant.
Let's get John Morant stock in the building.
Apparently it's going to happen.
Yeah.
He's now just Shay.
We're going broke, man.
I'm losing everything.
That's the last one.
That's the last one.
Last thing we got today, we are going to play...
You good?
Need some water?
I'm good.
Water?
Yeah, that's what I was laughing because I knew you were stopping talking, not because you couldn't read because I saw the throat climbing up and I was like been there.
Yeah, I'm not going to lie.
I'm reaching my limits.
He'll go to the doctor at this point.
Oh, I forgot.
Your throat still fucked up.
I actually thought was good.
You said yes.
we're pretty much there
you lied
I know
throat's not good
and he's still popping cough drops
before the show
I know
I think
also I read
because my throat
was acting up
this past weekend
you're supposed to eat
three cough drops
in one sitting
like the actual
serving size is three
yeah
you're supposed to
at once
so you're supposed to
eat one
let it completely
dissolve
and then immediately
do another one
and then let that
dissolve
and immediately do another one
and you're supposed
to do that in like
six hour
increments. I guess it makes sense. Get the, you know, like, that's the full dose, 10 minutes of sucking.
Yeah. Like, I could say like enough coding of medicine. Yeah. I was shocked though. I was already two
seven times. Bro, I ate like 20 cop drops in an hour. Sometimes you say things. I just, I'm bewildered by
your existence. I did it. I believe you. My stomach was in shambles though. I fully believe you. First,
you ate zen. Now you ate 20 cop drops. I eat zen. I chew it. I don't understand you.
My life, man.
Wow.
We are going to play NBA Who Am I?
Teams Edition.
All of you have two teams that you're going to put into your headbands,
and we have to see if we can take turns and guess which team is on our head.
You'll have a logo and a year.
So you've got to guess the specific version of said team.
Year stuff, okay.
The year's tough.
You know, we know how we'll do it.
We'll try to ask questions.
Don't ask directly, is this the 2020s or anything too straightforward?
Whatever you need to get to this.
specific version of a player.
I mean, team.
This straight?
Oh, it's sideways.
Other way.
Wrong, wrong way.
Other way.
Oh, there you go.
You're good, Donovan?
Am I good?
Yes.
Oh, no, upside down.
Completely upside down.
There we go.
No, you want to tell me for a second.
Everyone switched.
I'm eyes close.
Everyone switched up on me.
Okay.
Why does whistle when I said switched up?
That was crazy.
Okay.
Beesles rotate.
Swiss.
Other way.
There you go.
Hell yeah.
Hello.
He's struggling.
There we go.
We're good.
There you go.
Let me see your doubt teams.
Okay.
All right.
Donovan, you go first.
Who do you think you got?
Is this team one of the more meme teams?
One of the more memed.
At the time, maybe.
I don't know.
It's a popular team.
It probably got memed.
That phrasing is a little difficult.
Probably got memed, though.
Would you call this team a cool?
cult classic.
Cult classic.
What does that mean?
Like, no, it's not a
cult classic.
I know what it means.
It's not a cult classic.
Okay.
Did this team have a
top
five player in the world
at the top?
Yes.
Top five, top five.
Did it have multiple
top five players on this team?
Debatably.
Multiple?
Yeah.
Debatable, yeah.
I'd say yes,
but I don't know exactly
where one stood,
but probably.
Most people would say yes.
Most people say yes?
Yeah.
Is this the 2014 Thunder?
No.
Nope.
Nope.
Nope.
Good guess, though.
Good guess.
Were the stars on this team friends?
No.
No.
Dang.
He said French?
Friends.
French.
French.
Like, Dave, you're trying to snack for him.
It's got hoops.
Diffical shot taker.
Okay.
So, debatably two top five players in the world.
Um, is the best player of light skin?
No.
It's the best player of guard?
No.
Okay.
Um, was there, is there a coach one of like the more respected coaches?
Hell yeah.
Mm-hmm.
He said, hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
Let's see, let's see.
Do people hate this team?
Yeah, but at this point, I think probably yes.
Yeah, I would say so.
Yeah.
Did they win a championship?
This team, no.
In this singular year, no.
No.
Why you're down over there?
I'm breaking the block hot.
Is this the 2011 Miami Heat?
Nope.
But I will say you're on the right lines.
Good warmer.
Gotcha.
But it's almost like the reverse
of the 2011 Miami heats.
The 2014 Miami Heat?
No.
No, not that reverse.
Too far.
You lost them.
You lost them.
You lost them.
You're literally.
Yeah.
But that is like closer.
All right.
So I'm thinking about,
is a team with two,
is their best player center?
Yes.
Okay.
You kind of have it all now.
They're kind of like 2014 Miami Heat.
Best player is the center.
That's probably the best hint you could possibly get
for who this team is.
Nah,
I'm losing it.
Yeah.
All right.
So they're,
they did not win a championship this year.
Best player is the center.
are they a like
like a modern NBA team
like a post 2000?
No well
they are post 2000
Yes
this team played when you were born
Gotcha
So
So post 1984
Appreciate it
Is this an Eastern Conference team?
Nope
No
Western Conference
Best players of center
I'm thinking
Yokic
Jack, yeah,
Oki Shack teams to,
but in terms of losing in the,
they made the finals.
They did make the finals.
They did make the finals. This is the 04 Lakers?
Yes, it's the 04 Lakers. There you go.
That's probably the most comparable team to the 2014 Miami Heat.
Yeah, probably.
Yeah.
Mo, your turn.
All right, let's do it.
Okay.
Did my team have multiple All-Stars?
This specific year.
Don't think so.
I don't think so.
Okay, did they have one All-Star?
Let me check, maybe.
Fuck.
Team Middustle, what you mean?
Maybe.
I mean, maybe.
It's a complicated, it's a complicated subject.
Oh my gosh.
Who do they have?
Let me see.
Did any of these guys make the All-Star team that year?
Not those guys.
Damn.
Okay, okay, okay.
So it's in there.
Did this team have a Hall of Fame-worthy coach?
Or is he on track for right now if he's
still modern.
No.
This team did have an
All-Star that year.
They have an All-Star.
But no, not a Hall of Fame coach.
Not a Hall of Fame coach.
Does this coach still coach today?
No.
Okay.
Don't coach today.
Is this a 2010's team?
Yes, it is.
Okay, okay, okay.
Did this team
win the draft lottery?
No.
Hell no, actually.
Hell not.
They're good.
It's a sore subject.
Very sore.
Shit stings, actually.
What do you mean by that?
I wouldn't even call it a sore subject.
I call it like a gaping wound.
Whoa.
Not in like a gunshot.
Like you got shot with like a bazooka.
Whoa, okay.
So this team like should have won it then probably.
Like ruptured your spleen with one punch.
So they didn't win the draft lottery at all.
Okay.
Um, does this team no all stars, no draft lottery?
One all star.
Fuck.
One all-star.
Oh, one all-star.
One-all-star.
Okay.
I'm assuming this is an Eastern Conference team.
Sure.
I don't know why.
I said why.
Okay, I'm right.
Cool.
50-50 chance.
I don't know.
The gambles a life.
That's not a good basis for a assumption.
You also could just ask the question.
Yeah, I know, but I wanted to be confident, though.
And guess what?
It works.
It did work this time.
You got to give it to him.
Okay.
Terrible logic, but it works.
Damn, 2010s didn't go ahead and
win the draft lottery.
Okay.
Did this team make the playoffs
this year?
Yes.
Oh.
Okay.
Cool.
Would you say this team
is like,
was built modernly right now?
Would they be able to survive
in the pace of space era?
I mean,
it wouldn't be good.
Would they be like an abomination?
No, I guess.
But they wouldn't be good.
This player on the team
who made an all-star team
is he a top 30 player of all-time?
Fuck no.
Fuck no?
No.
Not the guy,
not the guy who made the all-star team.
No.
Not the guy who made the all-star team.
Yeah.
that's that's what I'm going to okay we'll see okay
does their colors have red in it no no does I have yellow in it
nope no red no yellow does I have orange no fuck who is this team
okay did they win the finals this year what I don't know no no okay I don't think
anything we've said have it has inspired positivity they made the playoffs that's positive
had an all-star which is cool
a majority of the league does
is this the mid-2010s
about that yes
okay okay okay okay
and they don't have a top 30 player
of all time
not to admit the all-star team that year
notice I'm choosing my words carefully
wait say it again
nope
you talk too fast
I didn't know what the fuck you said
he said it like three times
yeah I said about three times
in your box
okay
somebody get this guy a manual
someone give me a map
okay
mattress
could this be let's say
the
2015 Hawks
no but you're close
yeah
you're close
think about bigger disasters
in that similar time period
bigger disasters
oh I gave you a disaster
there you go
on that same time period
fuck one all star
um
this is not the Celtics
can't be
nope but listen man
That's a funny, that's a funny answer, though.
Parallels are drawn in life.
Was this the Brooklyn Nets?
Which one?
Which one, 2013, I assume?
2014, Brooklyn Nets.
There you go.
It's not the Celtics, but life's about parallels.
Wait, who was the All-Star?
Kevin Garnett.
Joe Johnson.
Fuck.
Joe Johnson would the All-Star team?
I was a guy out of the all-star team.
Yeah, no, Joe or D-W.
Yeah, Joe made it.
All right.
Okay.
Is my NBA team a legendary
defense? No. No. No.
Is my NBA team a legendary
anything? Yes. Yeah.
In its own right, yes.
It is own right.
You can never make that team again, I think.
So whatever they have, you can't take it from. You literally can't.
It's impossible.
Was somebody dead? No. No. That would make it impossible.
You literally can't. Okay. So the mechanisms aren't allowed
anymore?
For the context, yes.
Okay.
Does my NBA team have two plus legends on it?
Yes.
Okay, multiple all-time great.
They're good players.
Okay, so is James Hardin on this team?
No.
No.
Is Joellen Beat on this team?
No.
Okay, I'm trying to think guys he might not want to call legends.
I know.
I think of some guys he might think are bums.
In the own right, yeah.
They're on that line, though.
Like, they're good players, but, yeah.
Good bum.
Yeah.
This is a tough line.
That's all you guys.
Are the legends because they won a championship?
No.
No.
Hell.
They didn't win.
I was thinking I had the 24 Celtics, but no.
They didn't.
Hell no.
They didn't win.
But they're legends?
Yeah.
But they definitely didn't win.
Correct.
Oh, shit.
So you said James Hardin's on this team.
Nope.
I was like in 2018 Rockets.
Okay.
Is this team a great shooting team?
Great shooting team, no.
Damn.
I think they were for the time.
They're not like.
For the time they were.
But like, when you think of like the best shooting.
teams of all time. This team does not come up.
And they're not a legendary defense. Yeah.
What did they do? Like they're fine, they're fine, but
it's not like a crazy shooting team. Yeah, it's
good, good team. What the fuck? What did
they do? They did a lot.
They have multiple legends
and multiple
debatable legends. Multiple debatable legends. I hate you guys.
Yeah. Was there an all star on this team? Yes.
Yes. Was there two all stars on this team? Yep.
Did this team play in the Trump administration?
Ooh.
Blender.
No.
No.
You guys don't remember the years?
Yeah, I don't.
Did this team play in the Biden administration?
Yes.
Okay.
There you go.
I got a four-year window.
Okay, so there's some disappointing.
It's All-Stars and Bigger and Legends.
But they didn't win a championship.
So what makes them legends?
Is there an MVP on this team?
No.
No.
What the hell makes them legends?
Yeah.
There's no regular season MVP.
Okay, so there's a Washington.
Oh, it was a finals MVP on this team.
I just said there's no regular season.
Is there like an Eastern Conference finals MVP?
Is this a heat team?
No, there's no Eastern Conference.
No.
There's no Eastern Conference finals MVP?
No.
He said no regular season MVP.
Is there a finals MVP on my team?
Yes.
Is Jalen Brown on my team?
No.
No.
Is Andre Goddow on my team?
No.
Motherfuckers.
You're cooked.
But you said there's no champions on this team.
I know.
But there's a finals MVP on this team.
No, there is a champion on this team.
But no finals MVP.
No.
What are you talking about?
There's a champion on this team.
And there is a finals MVP.
Yeah.
Are they different people?
That's a dumb question.
That was the stupidest thing I ever said.
I'm sorry.
He said, I'm sorry.
Why do you say I'm sorry?
Like you're going to beat you.
That was stupid as hell.
Oh my gosh.
You're funny.
Okay.
So there's a finals MVP on this team.
But he's not a legend?
No.
People would say yes.
by the administration team
is the 2021 Warriors
I mean 22 warriors
no 22 warriors
no but you got warmer
you said they didn't win
yeah they didn't win
so they didn't win
but this player won a finals
and a VP on another team
yes
is by takeaway here
yes 100%
that took a while
getting warmer
that took a while
yep
this is a Western conference team
yes
did they make the conference finals
no no
wow
were they first on exits
I don't
I don't remember.
Did they make the playoffs?
Yes.
Yes.
Okay, second round team has a finals MVP,
made it in one of the Obama years.
This is tough.
How many finals?
There's not that many finals MVPs.
You got everything you need.
Is the finals MVP a guard?
No.
Is the finals MVP a center?
No.
Is he a small forward?
Yep.
Is this a LeBron team?
Nope.
No.
This is a Kevin Durant team.
No.
You got it now.
You got it.
You literally have it.
There's only one other guy.
All the pieces.
This is a Kuai Litter team.
Yes.
Yes.
It's the 2019.
What about Raptors?
No.
Smoke the layup.
2020 Clippers?
Yes.
Nothing like the bubble will ever happen again.
Oh, I was talking about team construction.
And when you asked the president question, you know, it was an election.
It was a filler.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know.
It's kind of both low-key.
That's tough.
Oh, so that did happen because that was the bubble.
happened in the Trump administration.
I was fucked a little bit.
Yeah.
Because that happened in,
actually the finals was it.
It was August.
It was August.
Not October?
Maybe.
I don't know.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe you're right.
Nobody knows.
I was six years ago.
I was your turn.
The championship went on October.
All right.
Are there any all NBA players on this team?
Yes.
There is.
Okay.
Were they all NBA in this year?
I assume so.
Okay.
Were there multiple?
All NBA players?
Yeah.
I'll check about that specific year.
The essence of the answer is yes.
Yeah.
Essence of the answer to the answer.
Would people consider this team a super team?
No.
A failed super team?
Wait.
Do you look people consider?
Yes.
Oh, well, yeah.
No, they are a super team.
They're straight up a super team.
There's no if answer buts about it.
Straight up a super team.
Okay.
Is the all-MBA player a top 20 player of all time?
Depends on who you ask.
Maybe you can make that argument.
I would say, yeah.
Okay.
Eastern Conference?
Yeah.
Eastern Conference.
Did they win a championship this year?
They did.
Famously.
Famously.
Super team.
Unfortunately even.
unfortunately.
Is this the 24 Celtics?
Fuck no.
I was like, damn, you hate him.
All right.
Not even close to 24 Celtics.
Okay, okay.
They're actually the complete opposite type of team.
Okay.
We're SoundCloud rappers popping during this era.
No.
Hell no.
Hell no.
Okay.
So it's not a 2010s team.
It could be early 2010s.
You were on SoundCloud in 2011?
No.
They didn't think so.
Let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see.
Is this a great shooting team?
No.
Yeah.
No?
No?
No.
Is it inside out team?
Yeah.
Playing inside out?
Yeah, probably.
Super team.
Okay, okay, okay.
When you're a super team, you kind of do it all, you know, but yeah, they're probably inside out.
Damn.
Is this the O8 Celtics?
This is the O8 Celtics.
Unfortunately, they did beat the Lakers.
Hell, yeah.
Okay.
Unfortunately, they are champions.
We've never stopped hearing about it.
I think we've stopped a little bit.
No.
Really?
We haven't.
again? They still do.
Yeah. You think Kendra Perkins is ever going to stop?
He apps about a lot of ESPN. Can't stop one stop.
Round two, everybody has a second card. Try out pulling your head without looking. Donovan, am I good?
Upside down. Am I good?
Nope, sideways. Other way. Other way? Other way?
Yeah, Donovan, you're good. Rotate.
There you go. Okay. Wow. Donovan, you're up next.
Okay.
Okay Donovan you up next
Um
Does this player
Or does this team have
A
Player that made the All-Star team this year
Yeah
You do have an All-Star team on that team
Did this team win 60 games this year?
No
Did they win 50 games?
They did win 50 games
Did they make the conference finals?
Yes
Yes
Yeah if I remember correctly
They made the conference finals
Yeah, they made it, right?
Yeah, I think so.
I'm misremembering.
Yeah, they made the conference finals.
They made the finals?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That, what year was?
I don't know why.
I act like I'm forgetting.
I know the final matchup.
Yes, they made it.
Yeah.
I don't know why hesitated.
Is the best player on this, on this team black?
Yeah, yeah.
Do they have a 60s team?
Yeah.
Do they have a popping white boy?
A popping white boy?
No, no other whites are popping
They just exist.
Nope, not popping.
Yeah, they just have like standard white boys.
Not yet.
Okay.
Yeah, not swag at all in the white boys, huh?
Yeah, not yet.
No white boy swag?
They gotta get it up, honestly.
It's not popularized enough.
They gotta work on that.
Yeah.
I actually have negative swag.
Maybe it's like harmful swag.
Maybe reduces the aura of the team.
Well, this is dangerous.
Okay.
Did this team
has this team been
a legend's team on 2K
no no
they're not legendary
not legendary
they made the conference finals but not legendary
they're just a regular loser
I don't know about that
no
do they have a
do they have multiple players on this team
in the Hall of Fame
no no hell no
do they have one Hall of Fame
Nope no
no
Zero Hall of Famers on this roster.
Yeah.
Do they have anybody on this team that is tracking to be a Hall of Famer?
Yeah, probably.
Yeah.
I think people have debated it, but to be, to be positive, yeah, probably.
You know, anybody makes it.
Yeah.
Any bum can make it.
Was, was MySpace the top social media platform at this time?
Nah.
Can't say it was.
Good question.
Not MySpace.
Are we in the streaming era with this team?
Yeah.
Yeah.
For sure.
All right.
Let's see.
Let's see.
Made the conference finals.
Is this team in the Western time zone?
Pacific time zone?
No.
They're not in the Western time zone.
They are.
Okay.
East Coast team?
Hell yeah.
I assume if you're in the Eastern Time zone, yeah.
Is this team by the Atlantic Ocean?
Like are they like close to?
to it.
They're near it,
is.
Sure.
Like,
you could drive to the beach.
Yeah, you could drive
to the Atlantic Ocean.
I don't know how long
it would take personally.
Yeah.
Like, I'm saying like
hour, hour and a half.
Yeah.
We'll take an hour and a half.
Okay.
Easy.
Are these teams,
is this team's fans
regularly consider
some of the best fans
in the league?
Best,
to East the Rowan,
I guess.
I don't know how to describe best.
Controversal right now.
I'll say most passionate fans
in the league?
Yes.
They're passionate.
Yeah, 100%.
Conference finals.
I'm thinking.
I'm thinking the Celtics
Well I'm thinking the Sixers
But it can't be the Sixers
Well yeah it can't be the Sixers
Because MBs never made out the second round
Don't let him forget
And it's been a long time
Guide his heart I love that shit too
So I think I'm gonna go with the Celtics
Yeah it might be a such team
Might be a heat team as well
Are the summers like crazy hot here?
Crazy hot? It's not Vegas
It's hot.
It's hot.
It's hot.
Not crazy.
Not crazy.
Nobody would say that.
It's not Texas.
I wish.
If I asked for, if I ask for, for ice tea in this city, would the tea be sweetened or unsweetened?
I don't know.
They'd probably ask sweet or unsweet because they're normal people.
Yeah.
Nah, because in the north, they don't be doing that.
They don't do sweet tea?
No, every time I ask for like, just like iced tea and like in New York or something, they all just bring regular.
If I do that down here, I'm getting...
It's not the South.
Yeah, it's not the South.
Not the South.
All right.
Is this the 2018 Boston Celtics?
No.
No.
2018.
Is that what you said?
Yeah.
We did tell you they made the finals.
Yeah, they did not make the finals.
I've missed her that.
They made the finals.
All right, cool.
Made the finals.
Just the 22 Celtics?
No.
No.
Does this team have a...
Have a legendary coach?
Uh, your team?
I don't know.
I don't know.
No, no, not legendary.
Not legendary.
No.
Was he is, was the coach considered to be like a, like on the, on the next wave?
It's like, is it a young coach?
No.
No.
Older coach can hit the Atlantic.
Made the finals.
Made the finals.
In the eastern time zone.
So I'm assuming Instagram is the popular social media of the day.
Yeah, one of them.
Yeah.
all right
I should I should have this
you got everything you should you should have this
you really should the fact you don't have this
embarrassing this is 2014
no
2014 no
embarrassing
how'd you get there
I don't know what that go from
I don't know I just I just do something out
I just that bitch back threw it out the end zone
um made the finals
I'm it's not
there's some key questions you haven't asked yet
yeah you just I don't know if you assume
one way or the other
is the
is the
does this
seems color
have green
no
you really
wanted to be
the Celtics
yeah I know
I'm just
I'm just
I'm just thinking
red
nope
potentially
potential
geez
so
what key questions
have I not
I don't know
whatever
what
keep asking
colors man
I don't know
they made the
did they win
the finals
they did win the final
they did win the final
yeah
okay cool
perfect
um
Me?
That's my follow
question after making
the finals
but that's just me
my strats
different these days
It's okay
All right
so they made the finals
Uh
Don't have like a regular
This the
This year's Knicks
That is the next
That is the next
Very cool
I was going to tell you
Roy G.
Viv this bitch
God damn it
I didn't want to do it
Yeah
I didn't
I didn't
I'll give a damn
They don't have
a legendary
anything
Time has to pass to be legendary.
Yeah.
They had a legendary run.
You can't be a legend in two months.
You gotta look back at the side of legends.
That's fair.
Yeah, time has a fast.
All right.
My first question,
does my team have a fighter?
A fighter?
Yes.
I think they do.
Let me check the roster.
I think they do.
I think they do.
But I don't know if you're going to like know about it like that.
Someone who begin into scuffles and is like just known as like a douchebag a little bit.
I don't know what that part.
Okay.
Someone just,
I don't know.
Okay.
He's passionate.
Let me check.
Let me check to be sure.
Yes, there is a guy who's known to be a little aggressive,
but I don't think he's a douchebag.
Okay, a little aggressive player.
Like those.
Does my player have, oh, not players, sorry.
Is anyone on this team have a podcast at all,
or do they be streaming?
Do you have online presence?
I don't think so.
Wow.
Fine, no.
No online presence for you?
Yeah, I'm not seeing anything.
This is not a modern team at all then.
Every team has a streamer these days.
Facts, unless like it's Sacramento Kings, I guess, or something like that.
But even though I guarantee you someone those boys are streaming.
Okay.
Was my team memed out at any point of this season?
Yes.
Yes.
Almost certainly.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
Meamed out team.
Was Lil Uzi like at his peak during this year?
Nope.
Money longer was not out.
Oh.
you gave me a little bit too much.
In that year, yeah, it wasn't 2015.
There you go.
Okay, okay.
So it's a little older team.
Not 2015.
Money long is also not out now.
Okay.
I don't want to lead you astray.
It's just not 2015.
Okay.
Was I in middle school around this era?
Yes.
Yes.
That's a funny good.
That's how hilarious.
Hell yeah.
Remember he lost seventh grade.
He loved middle school.
Boom.
He's always talking about middle school.
I was known as the silly band man in my school, man.
From wrist to forearms.
You were doing silly brand money spreads.
Facts.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
You were stealing them?
Stealing him?
No.
I would take silly ban.
I was selling them.
You're robbing people?
For silly pants.
Who's the plug?
Okay.
Does my team have a, again, top 30 player of all time?
No.
No.
Fuck.
Like, absolutely.
Like, top 50 player of all time.
Top 200 player of all time.
No.
Yo, what?
Yo, this team was ass.
This team was, they don't have a top 200 player of all time.
That's hard.
Probably not.
Maybe one guy.
Maybe one guy.
If you tell me one guy is the 198th player of all time, I guess I've never ranked them.
Yeah.
Well, okay.
Does my team have a Canadian on it?
Probably.
I don't know.
Let me check.
Like a notable one.
You don't have to, if he's like some random.
not important.
No, no Canadian on this.
Damn, no Canadian.
Okay, does it have an African on here?
Yes.
Yes.
Is he a center?
Yes.
Yes.
Hmm.
Did you know that on top of your head?
Who he's talking about?
I'm looking at the depth chart.
I don't know who that is.
African center.
Okay.
Okay.
Do this team have a white sniper in their starting lineup?
No.
No white sniper?
No.
We're ass, bro.
Damn.
went back then. So I was around
seventh grade, maybe like
12, 13 years old. No?
Wow. What? Different
question. He technically asked me. Okay.
No white sniper.
Oh, wait. Yes. Yes.
Okay. Does my
team... Did they have a top, let's say
10 draft pick this year?
Yes. I hope so.
It would have been a problem if not.
Well, Sam Hinkie employed for this team.
No.
Ooh, not Sam Minky.
No.
Fuck.
Okay, Sam Minky was an employer.
This is a terrible team.
This is a team I guarantee you don't know the executive of this team.
I guarantee you don't know who it is.
It's the Bobcatch or some shit?
Yes.
I don't know what damn thing about this team.
That's a 2012 Bobcats.
All I know is the Egghead Henderson era.
I never say his first name.
Egghead is his name.
That's 2012 Bobcats.
Your favorite year, ma'am.
Hell yeah.
Does anybody know their executive that year?
Jordan?
No.
I don't even want to try it.
Rich Cho.
Rich Cho.
Okay.
So that's a rich Joe.
He's a Bob Pets to him for a long time.
Fuck.
Didn't even know that.
Okay.
Does my NBA team have multiple white starters?
No.
Damn.
Wait.
No.
No.
Damn you yelled at you?
Yeah.
No.
No, shut it down.
Does my NBA team have one of the goats on it?
One of the goats?
No.
No.
One of the goats now.
But he's close.
Is my team of a top 10 player of all time?
No.
No.
Hell not.
Okay, so you're just talking.
He's not just leading me on.
Just throwing you off.
Just talking, saying elongated sentences for no reason.
Air pollution.
Okay.
Does my NBA team have a DPOI?
No.
No.
Does my NBA team have a six man of the year?
Nope.
No.
No.
Does my NBA team have anything of interest?
Yes.
Hell yeah.
Okay, okay.
We're interesting.
Does my NBA team have a championship?
Yes.
