Donovan, when do you think was your physical peak?
Physical peak?
Um, I don't know.
Maybe honestly, maybe like last year, my knee is killing me right now.
I think like, it's still going on?
That's what I'm saying.
The knee still is still messing up.
And now I'm at the point where I'm like, this is just what life is right now?
Why just have knee pain?
So I'm on a, I'm on a mission to fix my knee pain.
But in terms of just waking up out of bed, nothing hurts.
Yeah, probably last year.
Be souls.
When was your skill peak?
Skill peak?
Yeah.
13.
Damn.
You were him at 13?
Bro.
Hit me in the corner.
I'm looking like Ray Allen.
You lost it?
Yeah, I lost it.
That was half your life ago.
I know.
She said you've been watched for as long as you were good?
Type.
Damn.
Don't put it that way, though.
You already did.
It's already the ether.
Yeah.
As you guys see it with a title, we are here today to discuss both of those things.
We are going to discuss a mixture of physical peaks, skill peaks, production peaks.
team victory peaks
in order to rank
the top 10 NBA peaks
in the modern NBA since 2000
we are going to see 23
of the game's brightest stars
since our lifetime began
we're going to put them onto a ranking pyramid
where only 10 can stay
13 must fall under honorable mentions
so by the end this list we will see
who really are the goats of the modern NBA
it's going to be a juicy one
I can already imagine and foresee the comments
everyone telling us how much of nitwits
we are and all that
in a juicy manner
Yes, exactly.
Well, let's get juicy.
Q, the intro music.
We're throwing it back.
Whoa.
That's crazy.
He was bragging.
I don't know.
The cranium is crazy.
Oh, my God.
Crown eaters rejoice.
So, let's begin going straight into this pyramid.
We will see a player and decide where they go on the pyramid.
For the first 10 players, naturally, they all make it.
Because how we're going to do it is when a player gets put on the pyramid, you have to really decide where they go.
You got to decide who they go above amongst the existing players, if they got our album mentions.
Because once we decide a player is better than a player that's already on the list, so for example, let's say we get midway through and Joel and beads at 8, and Shay comes up.
And we put Shay at 7.
We can no longer go back and change it to put an beat above 7.
We have to stand tent toes on our rankings and only move guys down in order to put new names that come on up.
So be very confident with where you put these guys.
Okay.
Okay.
The placements are concrete.
Let's see how it's going to pan out.
Let's see.
B. Souls.
Who was the first name up?
All right.
First name up.
Steph Curry from 2016 to 2018.
Oof.
I mean, naturally he's one to start.
Do you guys feel like, I struggle with, I said oof because I was thinking about this.
I struggled to decide what his top three years were.
Because I felt weird, not including late career, 2021, 2021, 2022 Curry, where I felt like his
scoring bag was the best has ever been.
Yeah.
But I feel like those MVP years are so undeniable starting with 16 through the KD years.
Is this the right pick?
I think when it comes to 2020.
for me, that's more like storybook defining in his career rather than, of course, I can agree
with you want to go to the skill shit, obviously, and how he has a lot more ways to get to a shot
compared to those specific MVP years.
But the 2022, I can see it, appreciate it.
But for me and my heart, I'm like, this is more storybook and legacy defining more than like
raw, like peak.
Yeah.
Seeing how he was moving specifically in terms of like how like agile he was.
still compared to that was like seven years apart or whatever it's still different yeah he lost
definitely lost a step by then here's a quickness yeah but he's also stronger better defender but yeah
7060 through 18 we're putting out one to stark's his only name on here it's gonna be in the
convoy for the top still uh I mean it won't be one but it's gonna be in the combo for the top of few
I think I think there's I don't I don't think there's a way that this can drop that this can drop
past three mm I think it I think it's top three in the last 25 years 100% and I
I understand the argument for, for wanting the later years of Curry.
The only thing that I would say is, like, there were some moments where,
especially even in that title run, the three obviously, like, was still deadly.
It wasn't as automatic as what it was prior.
Like, there's something he was doing around his, like, first MVP and the second one.
And when we're, like, first meeting Steph Curry, we're talking 44, 45% from three.
The year they won the chip, he's at, like, 38%.
And there was just a little bit of inconsistency.
Now, he turned it up, right?
Because he's Steph Curry and he does what he does.
But I do think that the highs of early career and early peak stuff, those highs on a night-to-night basis were much, much bigger than the highs from later half-currie.
Yeah.
And the shooting thing specifically, it wasn't that he forgot how to shoot.
It was that he just can't get open as much.
In those early years, like 2016, he was so quick.
The handle was such on a string.
The horizontal movement patterns are so hard to stay in front of that.
It was equal part I can make shots better than anybody.
And equal parts, I can get to shots better than anybody.
And that secondary part wasn't quite the same in 2022.
It was more so like really tough shot making because I can't blow by guys and create that separation quite as well.
Which from the, hey, I'm just out here getting buckets community.
That's very, very impressive.
Yeah, yeah.
His speed of ball.
In two case settings, 99.
99 to like 91.
Yeah.
That's a big difference.
Big difference.
But okay, we're starting him at 1 naturally.
We'll see where he goes.
Next up 2009 to 2011, Dwight Howard.
three straight DPOIs.
Shout to him.
I don't, I don't, what a, like, dramatic falloff.
Now, we go to you to go for now.
Do we anticipate he'll stay on this list?
Not at all.
Respectful.
Let me salute three straight DPOIs while still being Rudy Gobert while being able to run
an offense through you still is quite special.
Like we always talk about Rudy Gobert in like these hypothetical settings that like,
if you could shoot like X, he would be the best player in the world.
And we said that as a joke, this isn't that because he wasn't shooting.
But like if Rego O'Barre could run offense through him, he'd be best player in the world.
That was simply something we said.
That was just Dwight.
It was.
And to have like to have that version of Dwight where you can kind of see them the real, real like modern NBA be formed with that magic team where you are playing inside out.
You have four shooters.
You are playing with space and you have some guy that your offense.
Because Dwight was never really a post guy, but to still have your offense flow through this.
like play finisher in that way and have everybody else pick up the pieces that is something that
you see like after 09 for the next like 10 15 years that's where and it's it's dwight and
brawn where it's like let's just have one focal point of this offense and we can play inside
out and spray out to shooters and and go that way so it is a very like influential period in NBA history
for sure do we have to put him like second two right now yeah like we know he's not going to make it
We don't do that way here as I want to.
We can put a guy straight to honorable mentions, if you like.
I think, I think if we,
if we know that there's no way that they're going to make it,
I think honorable mention for Dwight.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful, you know.
You made like four first,
he made first,
all in the main first seems like four times straight,
which is wildly impressive.
But I don't,
I think we can just cut the,
get straight to the,
with this one, you know?
I don't want me disrespectful, but fuck him.
All right.
Next up, 2003 to two,
2005 Kevin Garnett's. Yeah, let's talk podium now. One of the best two-way peaks of all time,
a guy who was a lead playmaker for a team for the path four position, one of the best passers
we've seen, especially in this era, the deadball era where the spacing wasn't great. He was
still navigating tight spaces, getting to his mid-range jumpers, setting up great interior
didn't have the spacing to be this amazing kickout. So he would be if we played today,
but still one of the highest level playmakers from that spot while being arguably the top
defensive peak we've ever seen in terms of versatility, being able to defend the rim, be mobile
on the perimeter, be incredibly smart in the pick and roll.
not just this like weak-sized shot blocking merchant.
He truly had the full package as a defender.
He's,
he's as durable, like especially in his peak.
He's playing 82 games every single year.
He's playing this, you know, the two-way stuff.
And it honestly didn't even hit me until the Kauai stuff went down
and we started talking about the punishments.
Yeah.
But the fact that the Timberwolves, when they got punished for the Joe Smith stuff,
that those five first-arm picks are directly in line with KG's peak.
And so there's no way.
Like we talk now about teams that either aren't ready to build around the star or don't know how to do it.
The Timbles weren't even in a position to get KG another running mate.
And so the fact that he still is able to take them to the playoffs, get them to the conference finals, win MVP's.
Like that, I think in terms of KG's legacy is something that is under discussed a lot and is a major boosting point for him.
So right now, obviously, he's going to go at two.
but he has a very, very strong argument
to stay as high on this pyramid as possible.
Yeah, I think the picks thing,
we always talk about how they couldn't get anything done
as a way to give him a pass for not winning, right?
We don't talk about it in, like, reality,
what that looked like,
because it was just before our time we gloss over it.
Can you imagine if Cade, his team lost the picks
and they couldn't draft Dern and ASR?
Oh, my God.
What the fuck?
And Holland and two more picks of whoever they'd end up being,
like, we'd be out here with Cade to buy his hairs,
Marcus Sasser, cook him.
And his version, that was the church
Spirit will for you.
While he's Urbiak for you.
That's tough.
Some good players, but like,
good players.
But like imagine you don't get your stars because they can't get picked.
That's exactly the position he was in.
Yeah.
He's one of the short list of players for me in my mind where I'm like, if I'm doing
a redraft of getting big guys who I want to play in today's era, he's immediately at
like the top of this is him and someone like Hakeem.
And I guess you could throw a will in there as well because his skill set, I feel like
is transferable across any era of basketball, even.
past or in the future with this world
would seem right now. He's just so special
across the wins. In his three year peak, 23 points per game,
5.6 assists, which is very high for a power
forward. 13.6 rebounds,
1.7 blocks and 1.4 steals.
3.1 stocks total. Crazy.
And he shot 50.1% from the
field with a very high mid-range
jump shot diets. That's so ridiculous,
bro. Better than Duncan.
Stamping it. Now I'm kidding. Maybe not.
Yeah, definitely not. I think that's such a
woke opinion. But
he's number two.
That's good active. I don't know.
All right, next.
James Harden,
2018 to 2020.
Now we're getting to comparison talks.
Insane peak, one MVP, and got better after that.
Average 35 after winning MVP.
He just couldn't get it because Janus had won the best two-way seasons ever.
But I think especially in 2020, the passing got as good as ever.
I think around 18, he was a good passer and very good with the rhythm which he played,
you know, the step back drive, kick to the corner.
I think by 2020, he was like, this is like one of the best passers in the world.
and it's transcending just he can do this high usage thing
and get a lot of assists.
Like he's scanning the court
when he first got to the Nets 2
as good as like anybody in the league.
He's,
we're starting him at 3, right?
He's not going above KG.
Let's talk about it.
I don't, I don't think so.
I don't think he's going above KG.
Both on 1 MVP,
both at second place in this three-year peak.
Obviously KG's a better defender.
Hardin's offense is like massively better
to the point where I think it could be a combo
somebody wants to say the style they want to play around.
I don't think it's like automatic
that you can't consider.
consider Hardin. I think KG's
defense is massively better. It is.
It is. But position, it's a, it's massively
better. It's also a guard. So, like, if they were
the same position, it would be, like, clearly we don't want to defend it like
James Hardin at the fore. So,
like, the playmaking is also massively better for Hardin. So I think just because
the positions are so different that you could consider it. Yeah.
Ultimately, like, it's just a playoff dropping
stuff that just really weighs it down. And I will
say this is, like, one of the better
years of playoff James Hardin.
The efficiency, of course, is just always going to trickle down
and the style play is always going to
come back to bite his ass because he's not as versatile in the playoffs.
But I will say that him going from averaging like 30, 36 and even like, I think his last year in 2020,
he averaged like 34.
So he's like, that's so dumb.
That's crazy.
That's so dumb.
When it comes to raw ability, he will have all the respect in the world.
But considering the defense is like, it's a massive gap.
And then also on top of that too, the variance in playoff performances is insanely massive as well.
He can't be.
Or Katie's playoff performances like in this era.
I know some years didn't make the playoffs, but like, was he killing it in the early odds as a playoff performer?
I don't know.
He hasn't right here for you.
I think he was.
Yeah.
It was going ban for ban with like Duncan and Dirk whenever they matched up.
Yeah.
I do agree that he should be above Hardin, but I do think it's also like, I know if we're checking boxes, obviously the defense is something that Hardin doesn't bring.
But I do think that like, it's not that simple to me.
Like I said, numbers are so ridiculous.
He was Caj's.
Yeah.
He had years where he had power runs averaging 24 and 19, 27.
27 and 16
24 14
17
75 assists in each of those
He's fairly good too
Considering he extends his range
So I think he's a better
Yeah
Playoff performer definitely is a difference
And I do think style
Play is also the difference
Of that you can put KG with anybody
And he can play more versatility
I think we've learned by now
With Hardin and with Luca at times
That it's hard to just extend that
You just deepen to the playoffs
It's hard to consistently build around that
Yeah
2000 to 2002 Shaquille O'Neal
What do we do with this?
I couldn't put 99 on there because it's only post-2000
So we started with 2000 but you know peak shack
Three Pete level shack I think we're okay
Yeah we're fine
We're fine
Is it crazy if we still have stuff at one
Of course not
We put Shaq at two
Not crazy but it's also not automatic I think
I think you really got to think about that one
Yeah and listen
This may just be something where it's like
I was like 15 and lived
and lived through
Steff's peak so it's like this is the best
week that I've ever seen
but
I feel like they're a tie bro
that's crazy
like what do you do
how do you decide this
they're both
it just one of one offensive weapons
and one of one gravity
because of the way they play offensively
like this shit we say about Steph's gravity
applies equally to Shaq
the shit we say about the scoring
and how unstoppable they are
applies to Shaq and Curry
the fact that they can both use their
making an unconventional ways to get people open because of gravity applies to both of them.
The fact that they both are like not peak defenders for their position, but maybe are
underrated in ways applies to both of them for their position.
Maybe Shaq more than Curry, but you know what I mean?
Yeah, it's a tie.
And so, and we're talking about peaks at the highest order.
And so the margins are going to be razor thin.
Steph in the 16 finals was not good.
Yeah.
And when, when you're talking about blowing a 3-1 lead,
in the in the finals and you have game seven on your home on your home floor you're turning the ball over
towards the end of the of the mat of the psych i mean that's kind of the difference where in this span
shack is putting up some of the craziest numbers that we've ever seen and three peating and leading
these these teams to also go 15 and one in the playoffs and go on these dominant runs i i just don't
think that shack had the the lows that steph had the the lows that steph had
And even if that low is just that that one series, that's, that's something that Shaq didn't have that
stuff did. So I think Shaq should probably go one here. Yes, I agree. And Shaq's first final series
against the Indiana Pacers. This motherfucker fucking average, 38 and 17, bro. 60% from the fucking
field. Yeah, let's go Shaq. It's pretty much like that every single finals appearance that he made
during this peak. Yeah. It's ridiculous. Yeah. And we're going towards finals. I mean, a playoff
performance being the deciding factor.
It is what it is when there's MVPs.
All four of these guys have regularly season dominance to like a degree that almost nobody
can compete with if player performance is what decides it.
So be it.
I'm just surprised you didn't give him that I'm injured pass for 2016 being the Curry Glazer.
Ah.
I mean, he was injured.
You're a, you're a three one.
And like, and you are like that is kind of, kind of wild.
And the, especially at the end of that series and at the end of a game seven,
you can't turn the ball over like that.
can't you can't be you know not being able to take kevin love kevin love did lock him up on
the on that last position like you can't be able to to not get by him there's there's some
things where it is got hard be souls is step curry soft and overrated um no no i don't
i don't think if you're going to say no and you're going to defend him you have to do it
more vigorously no you're saying hell no fuck no your heart's not in it
I'm going to say,
fuck no, I'm a Swiss cheese
if you say it again.
Fuck no, I'm a Swiss cheese.
You say that again.
We got to put him in a shysty one day.
We got a shyste here.
Trying to where a shycy rest episode?
I will dust your ass.
Have you ever wore a shycy before?
Once.
I actually, when I moved here,
I bought a half shycy last year.
Hey, put this all right here.
We put him in a shy seat when we revealed him
first time. Oh, shit. You're right.
Rood soles is in the building.
Keep plodding.
Next up, 2005 to 2007, Dirk.
His MVP year, when he was at his peak
offensively, moved the best. I imagine
he was at his best defensively, too, before he slowed
down and the foot speed kind of became an issue later in his
career. There was also the years in which he was being a
playoff choker that had the reputation of being a guy
that was too soft and European to ever compete in the big bad NBA.
People had ridden them off by the end of this peak for not being able to get it done.
Now, maybe that was over-exaggerated.
I don't know, we weren't there to understand the nuance of how this playoff series went.
They did choke.
Yeah, in 07, they're the 1C loose at 8-C.
They did choke.
So this is going ban for bam with James Hardin.
Yes.
In terms of guys who are running your offense, doing things that we haven't necessarily
seen at that position, getting your team to certain heights in the regular season,
and completely folding in the playoffs
and not living up to any of the expectations.
Peaceholds, who scares you more?
Dirk or Hardin?
Hardin!
Don't ever disrespect my God Curry again.
I'm going to shoot you.
The Aki Way.
The Aki Way.
Hell yeah.
Oh, Dirk was so bad in that first round series, bro.
What were his averages?
You're hot as fuck me.
38%.
You've only had it on for 15 seconds.
You're already sweating.
I see the forehead glazing.
It'd be a little.
like that, bro.
But bro, he was so much
so it's just around your face.
That's a funny look.
Yeah.
Now, I always think this is funny.
Let's see that.
Nice.
I'm crying, man.
But he saw 38% from the field, bro.
Absolutely locked up.
In quite embarrassing fashion,
honestly, that's a much bigger
blemish than anything Hardin.
Never did in the playoffs.
Especially in this stretch.
That's a much bigger blemish
than anything Hardin was on.
The peak of your powers.
Your Hardin was going out like fierce.
This is actually some of the,
most respectable basketball harder playing around that time because if we remember correctly,
that was the only team that could actually give the 2018 super loaded stacked warriors an actual
like chance. I mean, he lost to the spurs as well. In that in that run, yeah. 19. Not talking
by 18. Was that 19 when he lost spurs or was that before? No, that was in 17. Okay, well,
luckily, we're only doing 18 through 20. Yes, exactly. So luckily, who do you lose to 19? Is that
the Warriors again? I forget. Yes. Yeah. And then 20, they lost to the Lakers on route to the
champion. So you kept losing to the champions when you're at your peak. Yeah. You didn't play a
obviously you were overmash as a team.
I acknowledge it that's a difference
in him in the top three guys, but it's not
like it's an insane choke job.
He played poorly, but it's not losing
as the one seat to the eighth seed.
And I think
I don't want to just get focused on the outcome to playoffs.
I feel like we're heading down that trajectory.
It's about peaks too, how good they are.
It's like the forefront.
I think you could argue that Hardin's a better
offensive player or even, I guess,
to maybe that could be the only... I would say better
because of the playmaking.
Yeah. And so that's why
that was going to be my tiebreaker for them
just because the playoffs stuff is comparable
to me.
So I would keep Hardin there
and I would put Dirk right behind them.
I agree.
I agree.
I think it's very fair.
They're both unstoppable,
but I think Hardin's level of being unstoppable
is just a little bit harder to grasp.
Yeah, they're both regular season engines
in this time that fail in the playoffs.
Hardin's an even greater engine.
Yeah.
Though I do think there probably is something
to argue that maybe the lack of
on-ball dominance of Dirk in comparison.
He can make people better.
Yeah.
Like if I was picking,
Which guy who I would rather have as like a number two or whatever or who's easy to build around?
It's probably going to be dark.
Yeah.
But then again, it's hard to build around a power forward that doesn't play a lot of defense.
Yeah, sure.
They deserve to be next to each other.
There's a nice combination of factors to go both ways.
2012 through 2014, LeBron James when he was an absolute cyborg running around South Beach.
I know the game this is from two.
What did you say?
I know the game this is from two.
Oh, the picture?
Yeah.
Which one is it?
It's home.
Game 6, 2012.
of, God.
You have nightmares of it?
Yes.
Can you close your eyes
and describe the feeling
you feel when you have those nightmares?
I'm scared.
The fact that this dude was emotionless
and just like looking straight.
Feel something, please.
You're human, allegedly.
Damn, he does sound disturbed.
It must have been so crazy
witnessing that as a child
and not even comprehending
what you're actually seeing in your head.
That's his actual boogeyman.
Yeah.
It's like witnessing a murder as a kid.
You'll just never be the same.
Yeah.
That's tough.
your hopes and dreams emerged on the court.
I know.
So we're going one here, right?
Actually, this is one, and I'm sure it's going to stay there.
Maybe we'll get woke later and change it up and have a, not change it up,
but debate somebody else, potentially, I don't know.
But clearly, LeBron James at his athletic peak, defensive peak,
slashing peak, all of that while still already being a very, very gifted passer at this point
of his development.
Maybe it wasn't quite reading the court like he was in 2018,
dominating the game with his vision, but was pretty goddamn close to it and had his
best three-point shooting year during this stretch,
easily number one.
You know, I'm happy you mention the defense stuff too,
because a lot of people when it comes to talking about specifically like someone like
Shaq,
who I guess technically is the like number two right now on this list.
No one talks about Shaq's defense.
And it's never been like a huge weaknesses of his or whatever because the strengths
are OD ridiculous.
But I think if he was more of a, you know,
active defender on that.
And there's so many times where I was looking back and he,
He just came off as, like, lazy once in a while.
Yeah.
And sometimes one-dimensional.
He could be higher on it.
And that's why.
Honestly, the only reason why his defense doesn't get brought up is because the,
is because you see him as like fat and lazy.
Yeah.
And, and like, and, like, is to be expected?
Yeah.
And so you just assume like, oh, you just, you just whatever.
He's not a great defender, but you go back and you look and he's like,
he was a good rep protector.
Yeah.
And you have all, all defensive teams to his names and stuff like that.
Yeah.
Because he's a shot blocker.
He's fucking gigantic.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I think today's league would kind of expose that defense.
Yeah, it would be different.
But for what they were asking in 2000,
and especially in one of those years, like, you can,
Shaq is one of the players where because he is fat and lazy,
when he locks in, you definitely see the full potential.
And so you have, you have years there where he's at the top of DPLY voting.
He's at, he's winning MVP's because he's actually doing the things night in
in the nightout that you are asking from him.
And I imagine a lot of the waning effort he showed
to why you said he had to lock in.
It's because on offense, he has the most high effort game ever
physically throwing his body around, banging around,
jumping over guys nonstop.
Get him foul nonstop.
How could you exert effort on both sides of the ball at all times?
Like when you play that physical style,
you need to have insane conditioning.
And at one point he did.
And at one point, the defense started to wane effort-wise consistently
because of that.
So to be expected, it's all.
It netted out to being the second best player so far on this list.
2017, I mean, 2015 through 2017,
Russell Westbrook.
That's my goat.
Now we have the MVP year, obviously.
Then we have the years in which I think he was like maybe more impactful as like the best second option in the playoffs in 2015.
Whenever him and Kevin Durant were really clicking, he was his burstiest around that time, flying down the court.
The playmaking off of that was amazing.
At his best defensively, too, the high effort on the perimeter flying around, creating plays, getting steals was incredible at that point.
The jump shot had it fallen off like it did in 2018 onward.
What do we do with this?
So I think
I think he's a step above Dwight
So I think he can go on on the pyramid for right now
I love how to device
Only one they got disrespected
Not to disrespect Dwight
But only you don't get ranked
That's my bad
That's my fault
I said
I said so too bad guy down
I mean
Listen everybody else has its MBBs
Dwight doesn't
Okay true true true
But I think for Russ
Also in this span
Russ has like led the league in scoring in 17
Led the league and scoring in 15 as well
He has a league is scoring 15
Yeah I don't even remember
That was the year KD was out.
Oh, true, true, true.
So whenever it's just, yeah, whenever it's just him, Russ is like, I bet I got it.
And I think to lead the league in scoring twice for his playmaking and his passing to really,
really start taking leaps throughout this, this span.
Because at the first, the first year of this like three-year run, he's at 8.6 assist.
And then after that, he rattles off years and years of double-digit assist.
And you see him, especially that's why the 16th playoff.
in the 16 run really, really hurts for the, like, story of the thunder because Russ was putting
everything together and that was the best that we had seen him. So I think that the combination
of his scoring, his passing, his energy, all that stuff, I think it definitely lends himself
to be on this. I don't think I can go above Dirk. But honestly, it wouldn't, I don't think it would
be crazy we put Russell ahead of dirt for for for that period to this period yeah it also isn't
2011 dirk and it's not again we're we're leaning too close to the sun with the resume talk when it's
really about the peaks and the resume is like the difference maker I think when it's close with
the top guys who beat higher like who's a more impactful offensive and defensive player like
i think russ is russes russes passing opens up so much because katie katy leaves that team
because he's like oh it's just me and russ and you have like you're starting a
Baca and Perkins and Roberson, there's nobody else on that team that can facilitate
offense for anybody else, right?
Like, Katie's going to go and get his buckets, but in terms of setting up anybody else,
whose job is it?
That's Russ's job.
And I think that his playmaking is different than, and obviously a level above Dirk's.
And at the same time, he can still be a beast in transition.
His mid-range jumper wasn't as bad as it was in the later years.
this is the peak of it.
I think that he's a force downhill
as a slasher off balls as well.
I think offensively
Russ might be a better player
than dirt. I wish 2014 made it on here
because earlier I misspoke. I said 2015
is when he was like the best second option in the playoffs.
I forgot that's your kiddie was hurt in 2015.
It's 2014 when he was dominant
and destroyed the Clippers
in that second round series and was
like really at his best playing off of KD
in the 2014 playoff run.
A lot of the playoff runs.
I mean 2017, obviously you had
no shot made it with the underman team
2016 besides the first round
he was shooting tour dates under 40%
from the field in both playoff series that came after
that first round before blowing the 3-1 lead to
the Warriors the playoff performances
as a score especially aren't great during this
15 to 17 stretch yeah his lows are just
I understand we're trying to you know
what I'm saying big up rush now that he's retired
but his lows man yeah I remember
I remember the conversations man yeah
so I had decision making all that
but again Derek did blow 1 8 lead
yeah
So I
Part of me thinks I just
Think Dirk's a better player
But it's so close
I will let you all decide
My vote is Dirk but y'all can come together
The first round series that he had in 17
They lose to the Rockets in five games
Can I read you guys?
Russes stats
I would love you too
37 points
10.8 assist
11.6 rebounds
He's taking 30 shots a game
shooting 39% from the field and 26% from three.
He's unloading the clip against the Rockets.
I think,
Dirk's a meaningfully better player, I think.
That's one of my favorite series.
Russ has had to, bro.
Like, one of the advantages that OKC had back in the day,
specifically in the year 2017 was, yo, like,
we could go double big.
We got Ennis Cantor and Stephen Adams.
Andre Roberson, what you got for me.
Kyle Sennears over here
He can hit a couple threes
He's just so bad
He has nothing to work with
Dirk won the MVP
Average 30 with 60%
True shooting in 2007
That's like 6% above the average
He was an all-time great score
The hardest error to score
Versus what we just said
Talking about Russ got to the free throw long
14 times a game in that series
Yeah
That's relentless
He's relentless
I think I think Dirk Ptyre
As an offensive player
I think he doesn't have the lows
Obviously he has the offball ability
the scoring is obviously
a million times better
obviously not the playmakers
that's what Russ
would be in the conversation
I think the volatility
is easier to build
it's harder to build around
with Russ
I lean Dirk peaked higher
Russ is so hard
They belong
neck and right
right behind
so hard
because at the end of the day
the decision making
always is just going to be
the fatal flaw
It's intangible with him
Like everyone talks
Like the people
that say as a highest speak ever
Do it in a very like
He checks all these boxes
And a very like
You can rebound
He could pass
He can score
All this stuff
which is true.
It's true.
You can't take that from him.
He's one of the best box checkers
in NBA history.
But the intangible stuff
and the eye test stuff
for lack of a better phrase
of knowing the decision making,
knowing the style of play,
the erraticism in late games
that I just don't feel that with the dirk.
Yeah.
The late games specifically,
because you can deal with it,
but for quarters one through three,
but the game is close.
And as for somebody who is as talented as Russ,
it is just damning that.
a lot of his career when you get down to two minutes.
It was hilarious.
I'm not going to go.
Yeah.
But like, oh my God, he's going to do the thing.
He's going to do the thing.
Yeah, exactly.
If there's 18 seconds left on the shot clock,
you're saying Russ, no,
Russ, no, rust no, for eight seconds.
Which ultimately, you know that means ultimately we're talking about a guy who
every time he's at his best with second option,
which is not a bad thing necessarily.
You're just not a lead score versus Dirk, who we know is more the guy,
which I hate when we do just option talk.
But in this instance is the top 10 peak, it is a difference.
Yeah, you're building up your case.
I think that's fair.
So I think I think Russ goes right below,
for me.
Okay.
I agree.
That's fair.
Next up,
2009 and 2011 D. Wade
had a very hard time picking the best peak for him
because obviously he wanted to ring very early
and had an insane run.
But I do think by 09, he was a better player.
He just, you know, caught lighting the bottle
that perfect team insane run then.
I think 09, O'9, Dirk.
I mean, O'9 Wade is very capable of doing the same things
as O6 Wade did.
He just, you know, developed over time.
It was a much better player by then.
So I did 09 where I think was his best individuals
season through the first year of LeBron.
And to me, this clears, this clears Russ.
He'd already won the championships.
I think we can count that in this.
So I think it clears Dirk.
I see no reason it wouldn't clear Hardin.
If we're all in the Greens there,
him versus KG, what do we do?
Okay.
This is incredibly tough.
I don't know if he has enough to top out KG in this instance.
But also, are we sure it clears Hardin, first day?
Because I feel like the way Hardin conversation more so depends on what he did in 06.
We're just talking about 09 to 11.
Well, I think what he did in 06, like the individual year, that was beforehand.
And like, he's still just as good as that.
You know, like, we're not counting the ring specifically.
But we are still counting a guy who showed he can do that already.
He's already capable of that player performance.
You know, he doesn't have the choker label.
He's already gotten it done.
That's already behind him.
So I think for this convoy, that element in that debate still counts.
Okay.
And I think the fact that, like, Wade is one of the best shot blocking guard.
of all time.
He's making all defensive teams consistently.
Not first team, but he's on the second team.
And to do that, and then on the other end,
still give you 26 to 30 points every single night,
I think is very, very impactful.
That's rare.
Obviously, yeah.
In 2009, 30 with second team all defense,
that's Jordan shit.
Like, not a lot of people do that.
It's him, especially in that time,
it's him and Kobe.
and those are the two top, you know, shooting guards in the league.
I can go above Hardin pretty easily.
And it's different because especially now you look at the way that the game is played.
And yeah, like weight is not the shooter that Hardin is.
Doesn't matter.
I'm putting my head down.
I'm getting to the rim.
My first step is faster than anybody's first step.
I'm quicker than everybody.
And the slashing that he can do is insane.
And the slashing is part of the reason why, even though that the fit wasn't perfect, why it was still able to work with LeBron because he can play off ball and can play with other great players where I don't think that Hardin has that ability.
So I would go way to over.
I mean, I think when it comes to like the nuances of that, yes, I agree.
But right now I'm just looking at that peak version, peak for peak.
I think, yeah, I think even the peak version.
And if you look at Hardin when he's at his best, Hardin is not playing.
with other players in a complimentary nature of like I'm working off what you're doing.
That is true to some extent.
Also, he went to the Nets and he couldn't do it because ultimately when you put him with other good
players, you still want the ball in his hands because he's the best decision maker on the court.
So it's both.
I think it is true that that's a notch against him.
But maybe we, I don't want to treat like he's completely incapable.
Well, I'm saying with the with the ball with not in his hands.
You're right.
Of course, of course.
He's not the awful player whatsoever.
But like, yeah, maybe that is deciding.
factor between him and Wade. I just don't want to make it sound like we're saying that Harding
just can't do it at all. He just can't put him next to another player. He can still shoot off ball.
He won't be moving like we'd always wanted him to. But, you know, the Nets did have the best
offensive league for the seven games. They all play together and more with just him and KD for a reason.
Yeah, I agree. And I think ultimately too also looking at the two and just pound for pound,
who's at the best when it comes to comparing each other from their peak of their powers.
Earl Hardin was he won an MVP.
He was number two in MVP balance and no less than like number three in MVP ballots.
I can't say the same thing about Dwayne Wade in this specific circumstance here right now.
I think through this peak specifically, we slightly, we kind of see like the decline of him as well.
Maybe that's more so because, you know, LeBron's there.
And yeah, LeBron's there.
And he has to share.
There's more stuff to share in the play style.
I was like a little bit different, which is completely fair.
but when I think about who's like
more stop when who is just like
it's harder to do with on a night to night basis
I feel like for this specific moment
comparing their three year careers
I think Harden might
The decline came right after this just to be fair
Yeah it was the next year 2012 was when he started decline
Okay so I think for this instance we still get him at his peak
It's actually the healthiest stretch of his career
Yeah this is when he was yeah doing his best in that regard
But I don't mean would y'all feel better if I put 06 on here
Just because we see the ring like
He's so capable of that just because it's not that given year he won.
We still know that he's a better playoff performer than Hardin just because it's not the same years.
Like he didn't have the teams in 09 and 10 to get it done in that way.
But we still do know what we'd already learned about him by then,
that he is more than capable of producing at the highest level in the playoffs without the downsides of a Hardin.
Yeah.
I would, it doesn't really matter to me what three-year stretch that we want to go.
I just think I think Wade is a better player than Hardin.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think for this instance, the three-year stretch doesn't matter.
of them it will like some people i do think that hard to your point i do think there is a case that
in talks about all-time rankings hard and stands no chance over weighed but the talk about
three-your-peak is different than that conversation that is a different combo yeah and but we should
respect that this episode is title peaks not all-time list so i i will say a lot of times in this
combos like once we once we say that like a player is better at this other at like one skill than another
player, it's, it seems like it's like an all or nothing thing. Yeah. And so it's like, okay, like Hardin's
the better playmaker, boom. Everything in playmaking goes to there. And we act like Wade can't do any
playmaking. For sure. He was. He still, he still had a lot of years where the assist numbers were
very, very good. And so I think that that is something where it's not like, oh, if I take Wade,
I'm going to have no playmaking. That still will be a part of his game. And so I think with that,
with the scoring, with the, you know, clutch playoff stuff, all that, I think that Wade is, you
is better. I think ultimately if I can you can sell me on this if you're telling me like you know
the defense is just so wildly different between the two because he is then Hardin like was not
playing any he's all defensive teams yeah yeah exactly that can be the sign factor but I do think
you raise a good point here that we should keep in mind the restless again like I said earlier we can't
let it slip into just picking who had the best playoff performances and we can't let us slip into just being
an all-time ranking we really do that take it for what it's saying the best peak during that stretch
like who they were at their best and Hardin has a better claim in that conversation that he does
for a normal all-time great conversation.
So I do think it makes sense to vote him over Wade if really want to.
But I think Wade is just good enough.
We can still put him one spot above.
But I think Hardin could rank above people that we would normally rank above him
because it's a peak conversation.
I know we started with the KGD Wade debate.
Is that not really?
Oh, yeah.
Where did that go?
Yeah, I'm about to say.
Where did that go?
Oh, shit.
I forgot about that.
I kind of just like skips past Hardin and I was like,
oh, man, let me not disrespect him a little bit.
I think, I think G's defense is,
slightly better and that they may be enough.
It's a lot better.
Yeah.
To get him over the top.
Because I think the, even though that like Wade, I think Wade's a better is a better score,
but I don't think that the gap between their scoring is as big as the gap between their
defensive impact.
Yeah.
Even as good as a defender as Wade is.
So I would still go KG.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I would do that too.
I guess.
All right.
Next.
this one kind of
I'm surprised he's on here
I'm not gonna lie I'm not gonna lie
I'm surprised my guys on you
2000 23 to 2025
Jason Tatum
3 straight first team all NBA years
a championship no finals MVP
but a championship
as the best player on a team
right before this peak
another finals appearance
nonstop high level play
leading one of the best teams
of his era
and getting that ring
apologies to this man
is there a trash sector of this
there's not
we might have to give him
the Dwight treatment.
Okay.
Straight to
honorable mentions.
Honorable mentions
for sure.
Sorry,
buddy.
Does she got to see
his face though?
Does that make your day
better?
Yeah, a little bit,
a little bit.
Yeah.
I've seen a smile
behind the safety.
Yeah.
I see it.
Sheig,
Gilduce Alexander
24 through 2026.
Two MVPs in a row.
One second place
MVP finish.
One championship.
One year in which
he made the,
was it was second round
or was the conference finals
the past year?
He made the conference finals.
Conference finals.
Overmatched by the Spurs
because his players
got injured.
still though two straight years of making conference finals or finals get in the ring two straight
MVPs and before that second place MVP finish losing to the Dallas Mavericks in 2024 in the second
round so the the debate instantly goes to goes to wait oh that's not a debate to me i think that he
well just because i think that he's jumped hard in so i think you jump wait okay kg two straight
MVP's want to ring conference finals second place MVP it's pretty bulletproof the conversation
now is do you think what uh kg is like that much better of a player that we just can't do it off
ability which i guess we can have a conversation but it is a back-to-back MVP so i don't know that
it's an automatic to kg because of talent so i think we really had to interrogate all of it and man
all the non-talant stuff which the season sGA just had if we can get to the town it's pretty
goddamn high too all the non-talant stuff is like a clean sweep by shea
What do you mean by non-talet?
Like what's, what's including in that?
Playoff runs, accolades, stuff like that, you know.
The tie breakers that normally become this because they're all MVP's, that's a clean suite by Shea.
I think the interesting part with Shea is that even as the point guard, he's not in like amazing, amazing playmaker.
Yeah.
Comparable to Wade?
Probably.
I think Wade made Wade actually a little bit better.
Yeah, Wade's probably a little better of an interior passer because of slashing is a little better.
Yeah.
So Wade might be a slightly better playmaker, but similar to your.
And so I think when you're putting him up against guys that played in like the in the mid-2000s where you are running the offense through them, but it's not in this like heliocentric ways of right now, the playmaking kind of gets to be like a like a wash.
And so it does feel like a just a straight like, you know, fucking getting in defense type of conversation.
I think that KG might have him from like their
I think so
Yeah and Shay's playoff performances aren't amazing
Like regular season
I think I might take KG regular season
If it was just regular season
Shea is the top three guys are the goats
Hardin's right there too
Because regular season he's a demon
She's looking hard in the eye
As like regular season you cannot be stopped
Everything about you maximizes value
You're amazing
We've yet to see that
Translate to the playoffs to the same degree
So we can't automatically put him there, I guess, based on what we know we can be in terms of the insane efficiency in the regular season.
He's a meaningfully worst playoff performance than like a Wade and probably a KG.
He's not a shitter, but there is a dip.
And to be fair, I think that's also because the error we're playing in is the hardest to be a high volume score and be consistently at the same level of efficiency with how smart defenses are right now and how the current meadow defensive game plans are dedicated to getting the ball out of your best player's hands in a way that's like obnoxious sometimes in Shay's case.
I do think that's part of the nuance.
We haven't done that nuance for anybody else,
so I guess I can't glaze and only give that credit to Shea.
Yeah.
So if we're just calling a spade to spade and just doing what's on the paper,
the playoff performances aren't the same level.
Yeah, and when it comes to that, of course,
I think ultimately what we're trying to say is
he doesn't have the highs compared to those guys.
Yeah, exactly.
Specifically, you know.
His lows aren't insane.
Like he doesn't have some of the lows of losing 8-1, like Dirk.
Some of the stuff we know, the tour dates are hard-in-shot.
The lows aren't that low.
But yeah, he hasn't gone nuclear in a playoff series yet.
He's that playoff games where he went stupid.
I mean, game seven against the Spurs, he just did.
He went crazy.
He always came clutch in the 2025 run when they went down in series.
He came back, which I think is very important in this combo,
that every time the tables were against him,
answered it every single time.
Every playoff series, he need to come back
because the team around him, they all stopped shooting,
they stopped making their threes.
They lost games they shouldn't because Mark Dagnall made stupid decisions
at the end of games in 2025, all this stuff.
He responded every time.
The clutch factor to put the Skit Bayless term is there.
Yeah, he does have that.
Kiji's going to be that gatekeeper
to the top three, man.
You got to get through me first, buddy.
And you know what they can talk to me?
Like the nuance between peak
versus all-time ranking
and the difference of that combo
makes it hard for me.
Because Shea's peak is fucking bulletproof.
If his teammates think of her,
there's a very credible argument
he would want back-to-back rings
and top of back-to-back.
Who fucking KG's teammates, though, man?
Exactly.
Exactly.
So I can't hold that against him.
And if we're doing just like their abilities,
KG's so well-rounded.
But we also do that thing
where we kind of like
big up KG,
because of what his talent level would translate to today
versus Shea is a closer best player in the world thing
that I think KG was at that time.
Maybe that's because he was playing next to Kobe and LeBron
and Che isn't.
So I can't really decide is what I'm saying.
Is all these things culminate in me, I don't fucking know.
I feel like for me though, just me personally,
the all-time rankings to me is leaning towards what were you at your peak?
Because I just feel like when you ask me who's better between LeBron and Jordan,
we're not talking about like 86 Jordan versus 23 LeBron.
Like we're talking about 2012 to 2014 LeBron at least for me personally.
versus like 90 to 93 Georgia.
Yeah.
But you know, longevity gets into it and stuff like that.
Yeah.
Overall accolades.
So it's hard to divorce yourself from that in these combos.
Yeah.
I think it's just so crazy to like look at KG and be like, wow, man, in an era where, you know, Shaq very much exists.
Tim Duncan exists.
Those are guys who can easily slip into anybody's like top six players of all time bare minimum.
You're out here giving these guys fits.
You're out here.
one an MVP, you're carrying this team.
You're a genuinely incredibly tough matchup for all these guys.
And I'm not disrespect to say when it comes to like the level of town too.
It's slightly different compared to when I'm talking with KG.
Not this is.
Do it.
They're right next to each other, man.
I think for Peaks, if we're doing, I think peak we should put a big factor on like
your individual production and abilities.
And I think we should put them below KG.
The convert was weight, I think.
Yeah.
The talent of KG is different.
Yeah, I think we do need.
default to that.
And just because
the MVP's,
the MVP's,
and I do think if you
want to say
back-to-back
MVP's the difference
because that's incredibly
hard to do,
I won't do the team
success to Shea
as the deciding factor over KG
just because the teams
are so different.
And like his situation
is cupcake compared
to what KG went through.
So if I'm not doing that,
it becomes down to
do you want to go
extra MVP or the guy
who is the insane
defensive demon Swiss Army and I
if we know could have done more
in a given situation
and we just think he's better
of basketball.
We got to pass a better
of basketball test before
we get to any of the extras.
I think
Ways just better at basketball, man.
Respectfully.
I think he wades better than basketball, too,
but I do think he's closer
and what he got done is so much more for Shea.
Yeah.
Can we define what better at basketball means for you?
It's one of my favorite metrics.
Yeah, why is Wade better at basketball than Shea?
He is, but why do you think so?
I feel like the two-way value of it all.
You know exactly what it is.
What is it?
He said, roll the ball out.
Ways better.
That's a part of it.
But the two-way in value of it all, the fact that Dewey can't give you 30 on any given night, he's giving you like seven to eight assists.
And he's one of the best defenders from the guard position.
She's not as loud.
Seven to eight assists.
Dway's not doing that.
7.5 in 2009.
Look it up.
That was a one year.
It was like a Kobe O60 where his team wasn't good.
It was a high usage thing.
I think that he Wade is a better defender.
She's a good defender.
And like, I don't know if it's sacrilegious.
But, like, Shea's a better score.
What would you say the gap is offensively?
Shea's a better score.
She's a better high volume score at elite efficiency
because the shooting is so much better that, like,
it's a regular season-oriented thing, but even playoffs.
It's not like Wade was out here dropping 65% true shooting playoff runs.
Shea is a meaningly more efficient score.
Now we can get to, like, maybe Wade's, like,
downhill ability off his scoring, leads better offense,
and, like, he's more resilient against high-level defenses
because it's more about slashing and not shot-making.
There's other nuances that.
But if we're going to say an offensive gap for Shea,
it's the fact that his efficiency is like different level.
And it kind of is, the shot that is also very similar
just because Shea doesn't take a bunch of threes.
And he's so much better at the mid-ies than Wade was.
You know, and so the fact that they are getting to,
getting to shots in the same spots,
and Shay's efficiency is better.
I think from, he's a better shooter, obviously, than Wade,
and that could be the deciding factor there.
Perhides had a 66.5 true shooting.
That's Yokeet's shack numbers
while being a guard that average over 30.
Like, Shea's a clear tier above as a score.
And playmaking, I think the nuances of would lead me towards Wade,
but it's like super close that that wouldn't be a deciding factor to me.
It would be the defense of Wade being better
versus the offense, the scoring of Shea,
while the other side is good at both those other skills inversely.
But not great.
Yeah.
Catch a lob, though.
I don't know.
Catch a lob.
Cannot catch a lob.
Cannot catch a lob.
Don't you dare throw him a lot.
Be pissed.
So, yeah.
Also, I think, like, ironically, that is an underrated part of Dway's game is, like, his offball.
For sure, for sure.
Yeah.
He's definitely better off ball.
That's a good point.
He's better in transition.
But I do think a tiebreaker probably could be the fact that he's back-to-back MVP in this week.
Yeah.
We can't just disregard that.
That's tough.
Meanwhile, for D-Wade, the closest to back-to-back he's getting is just, like, third in the ballot.
Yeah.
And he'd be yokish and Wembe.
Like, that's tough.
Like, it's not like he just wanted because nobody else could win it.
Yeah.
His two MVPs, man.
All right.
Put them above.
Go on trade.
But it is very reasonable to put Wade there.
I think we spent a lot of time saying that, like, you could really go either way.
Okay.
2016 to 2019 Kauai.
This is a four-year peak because he missed one of those years.
So I wanted to count 16.
Otherwise, it would be dishonest.
16 through 19.
Okay.
What's to do with that?
16, he was second in MVP.
What are you smiling for?
Listen, he might be dumb high.
He might be dumb high.
16, he was second in MVP.
That's when he was like, oh, this is the best two-way peak for a wing,
scoring plus perimeter defense since Jordan.
Then he got hurt in 2017,
and I think the scoring wasn't,
I mean, the defense wasn't quite the same level,
but it was still goddamn good in 18 and 19.
And 19, he became this insanely refined guy
who led that incredibly deep team.
It's not like you backpacked the Raptors,
but he led them through that playoff run.
The first couple rounds,
he went absolutely berserk, destroying teams,
and then the finals came around.
He was injured,
but still was the best part in championship team.
Quite tough, man.
Like, that 2016 season,
of course, is like headlined by so many things
and sit down and you realize, oh shit.
That Spurs team won like 68 games.
Yeah.
They won 68 games in that same season.
Above Hardin.
If we're just talking ability,
I think...
He might be...
He might talk, KG, when it comes to pure ability.
Are you for real?
Did we go to that way?
Damn, I didn't think we're going that high.
I mean, he tops Hardin.
I think weight's a combo.
I don't know if it's obvious.
He's a better peak than Wade.
I think once again, we...
We are at the doorstep of the gatekeeper.
And we're having Kauai versus KG discussions.
So he beat Shafrio?
I think so.
That's tough.
Okay.
I think so.
I think as much as anybody, as any perimeter player has ever affected the game on defense, that's Kauai.
And the fact that in 19, you get, and the fact that you get the run in 19, the fact that I think he was runner up in.
in in no no he was he was on the ballot he was third um in MVP voting in 17 but oh was 18 the years he missed
and i misspoke 17 he was healthy then yeah because that because that ballot was russ hardin and kawai
but you get dp oys here you get um he has one d p o y here yeah you get the high end scoring
the two-way ability here is it's a little bit different and if we're going like it's like the d-way
argument with the hardware kind of
And if we're going ability on this 2K, you know, overall type of try to try to
Yeah, try to parse it like that.
I think I think he's overweighted.
I think he's overshed.
44, 38, 37% from three.
Four or five and five attempts.
A meaningfully better perimeter shooter, meaningfully better defender.
At this point of his career, especially before 19, kind of a zero as a playmaker,
as far as high usage guys go.
but the strengths are just so insane
and he's a wing
they were running point Kauai
they did that later on
we didn't count this in his peak
but like 2020 2020-20-21
I think we're actually like
Loki his best years
because it's a playmaker
he took leaps
but we're not counting that
so at this point
the playmaking isn't
anything
if it was he would be clearly
number four I think
I don't know if I can get the KG
I think the only reason
why ultimately can't get it
I can understand
when it goes to like raw ability
yes I would take that
but when it comes
to what you actually did
through that run.
This is like one of the more complicated ways to talk about basketball historically when
he comes to Quai Leonard.
Well, I mean, it's too.
I go the other way.
Him versus KG is interesting because they both have two of the more unique peaks.
Yeah.
Where Kauai's is four years because of all the injury stuff and then KG has literally no
team around him.
So depending on what you want to do, there's that.
Kauai obviously still has still showed the ability to lead a team.
They, that spurs team is won 67 games and he gets.
gloss over because the wars won 73
that year but he can
lead teams to high level
success in the regular season
as well. I'm not mad at it
it. Now at this point I feel like I'm glazing KG
wherever he's the fucking boogeyman, nobody can pass him.
He is the boogeyman. But he is.
And like the reason that he shade couldn't go above him is because the simple
are you better at basketball point that we had to get past before we
get to everything else couldn't get there. I wonder if we also can't get there
with Kajie and Kauai. But maybe I'm again, maybe I'm glazing. Maybe I'm
underrated Kauai. If y'all don't feel that way, we can go
Kauai 4.
Logically, it makes sense, man, but the roll the ball out in me, give me way to.
No, no, no, no.
I think in a roll the ball out situation, Kauai is kind of there.
That's a difference here is.
I don't know if he is rolled a bell up better than KG, but if you do believe that
and y'all, I'll vote me, I'm not going to be mad at it.
I just think one on, like one-on-one if, in that roll the ball-out situation.
Let's not.
Let's not think that.
No, I'm just, I'm just, I'm saying to his, to the, the roller ballout point of, of like, the defensive ability of Kauai to be as versatile as he is and to be as lockdown as he is, I think is, is as meaningful as, as we've ever seen.
And to have somebody who can, who can make the, make the decision, I'm just going to take the ball right now.
and then to do it is
there's one person maybe
it's him and it's him and scotty pivet
has the best primitive defenders of all time
honestly you know the difference is here
the difference to these two guys and why we're not putting kai
is that step curry went absolutely ape shit in 2016
and got the MVP if that had gone to kawai
and he won the MVP it wouldn't be a conversation
we'd say he has a chip he has a ring
we think the abilities are close by the time we got the 2019
that there's no reason to not go him over kg
but he got second place and is the second place
MVP season that much different than the first place
when you're like that it matters
in the combo, but it's not like in terms of peak.
He was as good to be an MVP.
That's what I'm saying.
Like his abilities,
he's good enough to be an MVP in that season.
Like we felt 28 games like,
I mean,
my bet,
68 games he won as a team leader.
We know his ability.
Like you mentioned the two-way outlook.
I know that accolade makes a big difference in the combo.
But as far as Pete goes and how good he is,
that's an MVP caliber player still.
So I don't want to hold the no MVP against him when he was so close.
So where do you want to put him?
Where does that land you have?
That was all me saying I understand.
I'm putting above KG if y'all want.
I don't know if I can't do that.
Because again,
Oh, you're all flipping.
I've been saying, okay.
Yeah.
Then let's go with what I said.
Put him behind KG.
Yeah.
I don't even know if you should be like above Shay for a real because again,
we're talking about raw ability, but I'm also talking about like.
I think he's better than,
than Shay.
We could say that based off a raw ability, but I don't know.
She's, it's just, it's just so different because through these,
through these things that we're talking about, I look at Kauai.
I'm like, okay, 2019, you're literally the man on earth.
Scaling back from that.
Okay, I understand what happens in 2016.
he was funny he was the man he that's an original sentence yeah the man on
he could do anything back in 2019 bro no one's saying no one's betting and eyed him
okay for all of his like he had a great run he had a great run he had a great run for sure yes yes
exactly exactly i can agree with even the scoring like you're looking at it now the scoring
the scoring in that 2016 year it's that 21 obviously the defense is is amazing and they used
it's the way they played which is they still had the beautiful game style of play but it's still
just like, okay, you would still want just a little bit more.
So it's just a usage thing though.
It's just a purely a usage in how they want to play for me.
But I think the, I think the fact that the numbers aren't there and, and as you said earlier,
that the playmaking isn't there because that's also just not in his bag at that point.
Yeah.
I think that is a is a difference as to where like you can't really put them with with KG.
Yeah.
Then is that the same thing for Shea?
Because like, nevertheless, Shea's scoring hasn't been at the same level.
because nobody's his in this era, but also, like, he's been the player that has taken teams.
I know we say he has this elite defense is so easy to have that elite defense.
You can't have an elite offense with him too.
He really is the lone playmaker.
And the fact that he's taking his team to a championship and a conference finals and the second round series that obviously they made the conference finals that year.
But still three straight playoff runs of dragging your team and being the offense.
Kauai either never did that or wasn't given the opportunity or couldn't do that for times of the stretch.
So I do think it's fair to go Shay over Kauai still.
that you said about KG plus that factor.
Yeah, I think I'm going to see over quiet.
The 20s.
Yeah, I think going back to like the 2016 playoffs, what is, I think they face off against the
O KC Thunder.
And obviously they lose that series.
That's how the whole thing happens.
Very next year, of course, injury stuff.
Wait, did the injury stuff happen then or is it 2018?
The injury stuff happened in 27, 18, so.
Yeah.
17, 18.
17, 18.
Okay.
And the next time I see you into playoffs.
I think he has like an injury riddle playouts series two
in 19
In 2017 playoffs
No so he so they
So 2017 he gets Zazaed and that's why he misses a lot of 18
Yeah
I would actually is that why I think it's another injury
But that's like it's part of the
It starts the cycle
Because he had he missed
Because remember they played the Rockets
In the second round of that
That year he missed game six
Because he was dealing with something
Okay
And then that's the game that Madu Blocks Hardin
They win the series right
That you lose without a
Manu on this list.
And then he gets Zaza in game one when they're up like 20-something against the Warriors.
17.
And I can remember, I think 18 was like reaggravation of the same injury and it started this like
two-year-long cycle of managing it.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
We'll put him behind Shade.
Keep moving.
Damien Allard.
Does he break into our top 10?
Does he displace Russell Westbrook?
There's a convo, man.
Certainly a convo.
I would rather build a team around Damian Lillard.
But with respect to what Russ did, part of it isn't just who I'd rather build a team around
in terms of what I think is valuable.
you put out on the court and what's you
the production that you
deserved the recognition for.
In 2017 is amazing.
Yeah. But damn, man.
But I would rather have Dame and I think it's easier
to build around him and win with him. And that's to me that's a
peak. That's tough, man.
Either way, they both can booted off. Do you want to
disrespect to Russell Westbrook for Dame?
Not this year. First.
Okay, they're both going to booted off. Let's salute to Russ. You're right.
This year, he retired. Let's salute him. Yeah. Dame.
Elite, honorable mention.
Okay.
2023 to 2025
Nicole Iokic
Demon
Goodbye Russell Westbrook
Where does he fall
So right now he's in
Conversations
I think he's right behind
Steph and right in between
KG
You know I think that's fair
Right above KG
That's probably nice and simple
Yeah okay
Real easy then
Damn
Yeah
Yeah honestly he has all these
MVPs
This peak doesn't
There's no way to capture
Three MVP's in his peak
Because the way it broke up
So it's only two MVPs
We know we got out there
real quick
And technically he doesn't count
for the peak
but come on.
Has the ring the same as Shea?
There's really,
and honestly,
the debate would be
if you want to put above Steph.
And I think we've had
that conversation enough times.
We know we're not going to do that
just because they're both such demons.
But like,
they're looking each other
square in the eye.
Boogieman got boxed, man.
Tough.
Finally.
Easily.
Easy.
Finally shit.
Yeah, we're glazing hard.
The Kevin Gardeck guy.
Like this whole run for Yoke
is just crazy.
Again, like this is not a part of the peak,
but he came first MVP in 2021.
again back to back 2022 second MVP
23 that's when the peak begins
one MVP 24 number two again
in 2025 it's past year
bro he has two MVP before his peak
two MVP didn't make his peak
because I think last
2025 when you average 29
and was like bonkers efficiency
I think that's better than his first MVP
so I included that I think he was a better player
two MVP's don't make your peak
I think it would be again
the conversation just peaks nothing else involved
it would be reasonable to put him above step curry
I'm not gonna start that I don't really care
they're so close we can put curry
but like it would be more than reasonable to do that
he almost had four straight MVPs
bray he was never going to get four straight
well he almost had six straight
because he had three first and three seconds
okay okay
the way that you're saying
that's the same way the old hands are like
Michael Jordan wouldn't want A straight it just wasn't gonna happen
but it's not the same because he was there
you know
I was saying that to what he said too
I was like at that logic he almost won six
was not gonna happen but like
this is more close than the MJ thing
because like clearly he had to retire
to like recuperate whatnot
he was on the court for six straight
seasons of us first and second all of them
like there's no theory
he just lost by a few votes
in three of the years
like he legit was as close
as you could be to winning six straight MVP's
like it's ridiculous
I forgot how this yokech glaze goes
sometimes man
and it's hard not to
even on a slander run
look at this shit bro
like I
you could put him up gray
and I imagine y'all don't want to have that combo so I don't really care we can keep curry three you could
anybody could that wants to just like be honest we're just being real it sounds like you want to
no no I'm cool curry there I think curry's also amazing it's cool they're even but like oh
people are going to be like it's not close they're so even because of the ways they dominate
and offensively is like all right that's ridiculous you don't think it's not close
yeah 40 to not be close is absurd like
You can think it's not true
Not close
To me that's the biggest glaze you've done all day
To say it's not close
No it's not close
I'm not the biggest glaze of the year
To say it's not close
He's not even saying anything
He's just saying it's not worth a conversation
It's really not
This jokish guys buns
Really not
Okay we keep moving
Joel and Bid
22 to 2224
You're really a bit of
You don't want to go down that route
You did get dogs
You're right
You don't want to go down that round.
You say you swear you don't want that smoke.
You don't want that at all with Curry.
I'm nice to carry.
We don't get to go down that route.
2020 to 22 to 24, Juelan Bede.
I counted the year in 2024 where he got hurt because he played 39 games.
I was averaging 34.7 because that was one of the best players I've ever seen in my life.
So I felt like that should be counted in peak Juel and Bede.
Obviously, he couldn't get a playoff wrong because he got injured.
But like he had meaningfully leveled up.
That was insanity.
He looks like the greatest honorable mention of all time.
Camp him of Dirk.
I can put a.
above dirt. You too.
I'm a raw ability, sir.
Yeah, they both won one MVP in the stretch.
Second place for Joel and Bede in the year.
He was going to be MVP again if he didn't get hurt,
but he got hurt. But as far as peak goes on,
that means something to me. You know, your peak was clearly
there and then unfortunate injury came, but like
you were better than your MVP season, averaging
34.5. You're a better defender.
A way better defender than Dirk.
The shot making had, like, reached like the closest
to Dirk levels from the mid-range. Like, he was
playing like that. I think
as a player, he's better than Dirk. But
the playoff stuff could never come together because
the injuries and stuff.
So I don't know.
Neither one of them have palsy.
Bye, Dirk.
He's just a better version.
Okay.
There you go.
I'm glad I wasn't going to be the only one glazing Embedd.
Yonnis, 2019 to 2021.
Ooh.
Goodbye, Embed.
You had a good two seconds on the list.
Yeah, you're gone, buddy.
You're going.
I'm glad you got to touch the list, though.
I feel happy about that.
So a real demon is into the chat, man.
He passes Hardin because they want to ringing the stretch.
And, you know, we know they both have the MVPs in the regular season, the dominant
success in different ways.
He passes Wade.
I don't see any reason
he shouldn't pass Kauai.
For sure, pass Kauai.
We're right back to the boogeyman.
Shea?
No.
I think you passed Shay.
Yes.
He passed for the defense.
I see no reason
he shouldn't pass KG.
And I think we're putting him right back
behind Yokic like he always is.
Damn.
Unless you want to say that.
No, no.
If we're just doing peak.
Let's talk.
If we're just doing peak.
Let's talk.
He can be above Yokich.
He can be, for sure.
Is that the argument you want to make?
It can go either way.
I can respect both sides.
That's part, man.
But he's clearly right there.
We can move everybody else down.
Wait, give me seven seconds to decide if this is the argument.
Go for it.
Because I guess I'll lay it out.
You can either say that by 2021, he figured out the playoff stuff.
The two-way impact was still there.
The defense hadn't really fallen off.
Made my decision.
We're going to make that argument.
We're going to like to say.
We're going to put yonis ahead of Yogage.
Well, tell me why.
Now, keep on.
No, you tell me why.
We're going out.
I'm on board.
What you mean?
You don't know what side?
on.
You would lay nothing case.
Anyway, so you can say that the defense and the scoring impact together of Janus is like
a combination of talent from a big man specifically being able to playmake and be a
matchup nightmare from the four while being a seven-footer that big guys can't say
you in front of you because they're too slow and small guys can't say in front you
because they're too strong while being an elite defender that that combination of factors
makes you like a uniquely difficult weapon to deal with in the same way that Shaq was.
That there's just like no lineups on earth that are built to deal with that while you
have a competent team around you with a stretch big elite defender,
shot maker, etc.
That that combination of factors of two-way impact
just gives you a better at basketball ceiling
that Yokic can't contend with because of the defense.
Or you can say Yokish won three MVP's second place three times in a row
was the best offensive player of his era,
maybe the best offensive player of all time,
depending on who you ask,
playoff performer during this stretch especially,
kind of infallible, was kind of unstoppable.
See, and that's a thing where it's hard for me to put Yonis
firmly above yoke just because
through these two specific years
in 2019 that's the infamous bro you got
absolutely boxed by the Raptors that should have been
your year to make it to the finals
and then in 2020
I think similar things happened to when it comes to
the Miami Heat and I don't even think you finished out
that series actually I think you got hurt
like for one of the last games
and the stats are just like
they're just not there and bam gave him
fits as well I remember that
and both the rings in the stretch 23 and 21 are like
if we're going to do this, which I never, I don't want to do for real,
but they're two of the easier rings, quote on quote,
as far as comp they face and stuff like that,
that like neither one of them have a dirt level run
that we can say their individual ring is more impressive than the other.
I think both rings get slandered by haters,
so I feel like that's a wash there.
I don't think Janice's ring gets slandered as much,
at least like, because he's coming off injuries to, like,
it's starting to get there.
Really?
It's the weird year post-bubble with COVID
where like the Nets got eliminated because of injuries,
the Lakers got eliminated because the small sample side,
I mean, the small off-season.
like the injuries really fuck the 21 season more than 20 because of COVID so that year is just
fucking weird that son's team was really damn good sure sure and so I knew the heat team was respectable
like they both played teams that was that the eighth seed heat team or what
7 16 seed six seed or no eight seed was 23 I remember yeah we're talking about 23 okay yeah it was a
playing team yeah yeah it was a fucking playing team yeah but the path there you know it nets out I think
both runs are about the same if you want to say yonis 21 run is even is a little bit better
go for I don't care I'm just saying neither one to me is a meaningful
full this ring decides it. I think both
their rings. They got fortune, but
got it done. So I'm counting the ring
evenly for both these guys. We both know they can
win MVP's in our second place that they don't win it.
So I'm counter counting the regular season accolades similar.
It really, to me, comes down to do you want to go
towards the convoy we've always had? The offensive
the offensively, who's an absolute mastermind
offensively, it doesn't give you anything above average
defensively or the two-way guy with his own flaws
offensively that lead to getting walled up,
but the defense makes up for it. Yeah, I think
when the defense, or when the
offense is giving you 30,
And the defense is as good as it was with Yonis,
where he's making first team all defense every single year.
DPLI.
Yeah, for like a six-year stretch.
Yeah.
And you're getting a D-P-O-Y in there.
And it's stamped that, like the, to have the MVP and D-P-O-Y also in the same year.
That's rare, I think.
We're talking about peaks.
There's only two guys who did that.
Yeah.
Peaks and how high and how much you accomplished at the very peak of your powers.
Like you said, there's only a couple guys who have done that.
I think that that is a notch for Yonis that Yolkits just could never do.
Yeah, but he can never do that.
But then he does other stuff that Yonis could never do.
In terms of two-way impact, I do think that that is different.
But even like the playmaking gap too, obviously, like Yolk is one of the greatest of all time.
And there is a gap.
But that's firmly not a weakness in Yonis's game as well.
Well, in the wall years it was.
There you were calling that.
That was why the wall worked.
2019 is here.
Fuck.
in 2020. That's why the wall worked. It was firmly a weakness of his. And the outside shooting
is another reason it worked. Like he has weaknesses that are just as bad as a defense at time.
They lost playoff series because of the weaknesses. They're not like, we can say two-way
demon, he does both good and we give him these values, but for getting nuanced. They lost
playoff series because of his weaknesses. But they also lost playoff series because Yolkich is
not in this too. 26 is not here. Well, no, no, no, no. 24. He got gained by
Rudy O'Bare. That was 25. 24 is when they lost because that's when they had cat.
And it was Cat and Yoke,
Cat and Gobert
Lock him up
with the two big thing.
Exactly.
That was when you got game?
Yeah.
Okay, okay.
So that he,
he,
we're shooting you got game like a series.
You know what I mean?
They lost.
But that was more about
everybody else around him died.
He still produced well in that series.
25 and 26,
he started to move a little bit slower.
But 24 is the one that like,
Jamal Murray put up disgusting stats
and like the whole primitive defense
locked those guys up.
Ah, Jamaluri.
26 is,
but that was disgusting.
That's,
that's 20 point lead at home.
Yeah.
Fair.
Game 7.
We can hold that against them.
And that was one of those games where Aunt didn't shoot well.
I think Anne had like a bunch of rebounds or something like that.
It was like a Kobe Game 7 type of game where he did everything else, but he didn't, he didn't shoot.
Yeah.
Awesome.
I'm just saying 24 wasn't a, it wasn't a wall situation where he choked.
They lost, but he played fine.
26 is a wall situation where he was dog shit.
And that's not on here.
But that 25, what was 25 playoffs again?
I'm blinking now.
That's the, that's the one, the, the Shay one.
lost in the second round to the thunder.
Yeah.
Gotcha.
It was the,
was it second round or conference finals?
Second around.
Second round.
Yeah.
That's when AG was out.
They were up three to that one as well.
They were the inferior team.
So like,
again,
he didn't like shit the bad in that way.
But he lost.
So he had a lot of shitters in that series.
He did.
The worst,
the worst games that we've seen Yokhits play in the playoffs were in that show.
Until the next year in 2016,
he got even worse.
Yes.
Two straight years of him falling off in the playoffs, bro.
That's why the peak doesn't count that because the peak is over,
clearly.
Yeah.
Those clothes are.
25 and the end of the peak.
Yeah, it did.
I don't know who's voting for Yonis over Yolkits just yet,
but I will say, what's holding you back from putting him above Curry if we can take it to that next step?
Good point.
Because Yolkits and Curry are like the same arguments.
Yeah.
Well, according to, no high fare.
I don't think that.
I think that stuff is.
He still has a substantial.
Well, verbalize why.
Because if you're doing two-way impact, the defense is way better than Curry too.
And the offense output of Curry and Yokch are both like peak, peak, peak.
But as you're saying, the defense doesn't make up for it.
With Yokish, why would I make up for it with Curry?
Because I think that Curry's shooting is even, I think that Curry's shooting and Curry's
movement off ball is just a little bit different than, then Yokic having the ball.
And obviously amazing, but like holding the ball and conducting everything, I think is different
than having just this madman running around and creating chaos at every single area of the,
of the court.
And I really, really value that when I talk about like Steph's offensive impact.
So that's why I would have it above you.
Yokich, and that's why I would also have it above Janus. And the shooting also, it's these
specific years where the shooting is at 44% from 3, 45% from 3, that's just unheard of. And that's
on a different level. If we're talking about any other three-year stretch of Steph's career,
probably where it's a little bit closer to Earth, where we're at 40, 41, that's okay. But
if we're starting to inch towards, you know, high 40s and in 3.4.
percentage, that's the difference for me.
Doesn't that feel like you're describing
why you want to build around Curry
a little more because of a stylistic preference
rather than a huge gap in ability and production?
I feel like you're describing there's two 99
overall offensive players and you'd rather have this one
because it's how you want to play. But it's pretty clear
that in most like objective factors
they're as close as you can be. And if that's the case, I feel like that
hasn't changed the fact of the argument for Janus over Yokic
would still apply to Yonis over Curry. I will say to side
with you, Donovan, that
those years of Curry is the greatest gap
between any skill and NBA history literally ever.
Like I've seen pastors like Yolkits before.
I've seen defenders and scores playing at a high level like Janus.
But again, like being able to cause that much havoc, although it does come with like
variance.
Of course, he does, he has had his moments where he's shooting tour dates.
But even within that like the tour dates, he's still adding positivity as well.
And that's just something I just, you cannot say about any other player in history at that level.
Have you seen the office of like Yolkut before?
No, you're dead damn sure haven't seen a pastor from a big man position, which makes
a big difference. Being able to have that playmaking ability from the center and the matchup nightmare
that brings with drawing a center out and making him deal with that and a point guard defender,
that's just as big of a gap. I can name you, I can name you a couple of pastors in an NBA history
that are closer to Yokit's versus a couple of shooters that are closer to Steph. The gap is crazy.
Who's the closest passer from the big man position to Yokch? Not from big man. I said passers in general.
But that makes a difference. That's a, in that style of play and playing through the way you can do
the handoff, the elbow touches and the positions that you can operate. It's special. It's special. I
understand that. It's a different thing than a point guard passer. That's to say it's better.
or worse. It's just a different thing that you can't compare it to say, yeah, Steve Nash's
good of a passer, but it's a whole different style of play that to East Toronto, who you'd rather
have. But it's like, it's a very different thing. For sure. But I'm just talking about the
category, like, raw ability. And what can you do regardless of position? That's all. It's all time
talk, regardless of position. Fair. So would you have had a vote, Janus above Yolkits and not
Curry? No. I'm not taking Yonis above Curry at all. And I don't think I'm taking Janus above Yolich.
I think he's firmly in between. Your vote is there? So what are you thinking? We know
what Donovan feels?
Um,
I'm gonna go Yokic.
Yonis goes right in the middle
with an open spot below Yokic.
Just because I want Curry still in the top three.
Well, that was never going to happen.
And I know it's a slippery slope.
Yeah.
Now, they stopped that slope where it before it got slippery.
They said it's not happening.
Luca Donchitz, 22 through 24.
Damn hard. Hardin.
Conference final strip, final strip.
No MVP's, but a third place in 2024.
Very, very respectable.
It's probably an honorable mention.
Yeah, I mean, this would be he had the little bit deeper playoff runs than Hardin,
but not the regular season accolade of MVP.
What do you want to go to more?
I have an MVP's really damning, man.
Sucks.
But I mean, like, is it?
The conference finals and finals run is like very impressive.
At this point, it's just a Hardin comparison.
Yeah, I think making it instead of finals and being widely regarded as a playoff riser
as opposed to how Hardin's perceived.
I do think that's enough to make up for Hardin winning the MVP.
But is that perception correct?
I think so.
And during this peak, is that...
As a riser, it is.
It is.
More so about the hardened thing.
Like, should we just like, ding him for that?
Honestly, I think the...
At this point, he was getting called a choker
because he didn't get it done.
But there was like, people like me that were defending him
saying he's listening to the fucking warriors.
20-21 and onward, he became a real choker
where there's no defense eventually, you know?
Do we feel like that's gas for this stretch,
for this three-year stretch?
That, like...
No, I don't feel like...
I don't feel like...
I don't know you don't.
I don't have to go down,
down the resume, but I mean, there's stuff every single year where you can point to it and say that he's dropping or he's failing or he's choking either either one of those categories. So I don't think that it's gaza and I don't think that it's just something in the later half of the years where it really solidifies it. So then would you put Luca above him for that reason? Also, who did Luca lose to in 23?
Well, 23, they didn't make the playoffs. They tanked on purpose to get a pick. Like it became lively because they were on the bubble. And then they traded for Kyrie and tanked at the end. Okay. So they lost at the champions or he lost their champions too in 22 and 24.
Yes.
Okay, fair.
Oh shit.
Oh, shit.
Oh, yeah.
And one of those years
was actually in the finals.
Yeah.
Hmm.
And he beat,
that okay C team they beat.
That team wasn't ready.
Like,
that was the year
where Jad up and Chet shrunk.
Giddy was there too.
He got,
he fucked up so much.
That team wasn't ready.
But they were still a very good team
that could have,
they could have won that series
and made it.
He beat that team.
So do you,
so you think that the playoff rising
of Luca puts him above Hardin?
Yeah.
Okay.
I forget the head giddy, man.
That was some bullshit.
dude he was fucking up so much
they just sagged off him so many times
for Jada was a mouse that year
came back and figured it out but boy was he a mouse
yeah
also I think Luca's just a little bit more
versatile of offensive player
like I think Harding's plays a really
yeah I think Hardin's play style
offensively is a little bit more rigid
yeah more rigid because that's just because Luca operates in the mid
range a little more yeah I was like kind of what it comes to
that's fair I agree with that now I don't know that's a deciding factor
for me because while it is rigid it equated
to being just as unstoppable,
and they both have similar downsides.
But you're right,
he does have more nuance
of a scoring profile.
Yeah, that's true.
But it's also like,
I'm looking at this basketball reference right now.
It's like,
damn, bro,
you couldn't come like top two
and MVP finishes
within this year at all.
Yeah.
Like,
as highest as being third
and that ultimately,
of course,
like,
to yoke.
Also keep mind the teams
on,
the teams weren't,
like,
particularly great.
Like,
eventually they got to the point
24 where they got
enough pieces to make him ever run.
Still wasn't great.
We're talking about PJ Washington
and a rookie big.
And Daniel Gafford,
who's a guy that Luca made really good.
And shout out Kyrie, he finally got a sidekick.
But he didn't have the elite role players
that Hardin had to work with in 2018.
But every, the hard part,
especially for these two guys,
is like for Hardin,
it's MVP, MVP runner-up, MVP third place.
He's always on the ballot.
And I think for these two guys
or for guys that don't have rings
when you try to get the full scope of what they were at their peak.
I mean, Harden as a regular season player is as infallible as anybody.
And that's what makes the playoffs of so damning is that he was so good in the regular season.
And for him to lead the league in scoring for three years,
like if you're going to be that style of player, doing it the James Hardin way
and going all the way in and squeezing all the juice out of that style,
style of play from a regular season perspective, I think is important.
Yeah.
So I think Hardin is the, is the pick here.
The only difference to me is that like 2018, he had to play the Warriors.
Like that run to him in 24, Luca, aren't that different to me.
And I know Luca had other periods of the 22 run, the clutch shots you hit.
I understand why he has the riser label over Hardin.
But if we're taking that 24 run to be the like stamp of why you to pick Luca, I don't think
that's an individually better player, better run than 2018 Hardin necessarily.
It's just again, he played the 2018 Warriors.
I'm not going to hold that against him.
That's tough, man.
Luca played the 24 Celtics.
Which is fair.
Why am I saying you should have won the ring?
But like, that's what I'm saying is just like,
not obvious that that Luca run clears.
Okay.
That 24th Celtics team is also special.
We also got to give them that.
Hell yeah.
Overmatched.
Both of them were overmatched.
Hell yeah.
One was just overmatched a week earlier.
Yeah.
Okay, Hardin stays.
Next up.
Oh, my bet.
I'm just looking at you.
Kevin Durant
2016 through 18
All right
goodbye Hardin
We fought nice and hard
To stay
They're both getting kicked out
Regardless
He clears KG
To me
He said that little too easy
I don't think so
It's Kevin Durant
I don't think
The team success is there
He's
The skill level
Is very comparable
I understand
We're giving KG
All the grace in the world
For the shit he was
dealing with
It's not my fault
That Kevin Durant
picked the easy team to win with, but they
fucking won, and he was the best player, and he was so amazing.
Like, he's Kevin Durant. He's a dying
now roll at every attribute. Like, he's just
so good. I don't, I can't really, I'm not going to
hold the coward stuff against him too much.
He's kind of the perfect player.
Now, that's him.
Could he be higher?
I think, obviously, I agree. Yeah, he can be high.
I think he's definitely clear as KG.
He did, yeah, he's just as good, if not better
as a talent that we can't give KG the
he's better argument. Yeah.
As the only argument, what I'm saying.
You could say KG is better than Kevin Durant.
That's not ridiculous, but it's not obvious, I don't think.
Oh, 16.
The reason I say KG and not Yannis,
well, I do think Kevin Durant is a better basketball player than Yonis.
Then we can get into that peak.
Yonis had to, like, shoulder more burden and stuff like that
and has the MVP and those things that I can understand going to Yonish
just because that peak was more impressive of a feat.
See, it's, it's hard for me to, like, continue to push Katie up
and have things, have him, like, surpassed guys like Yonis and Yonis,
which I could probably argue, but I don't know if I want to because his life was so easy.
That's when we saw like the best defensive version of KD.
And there was a point in time in that I believe 17 season where he was on on the all defensive team ballot, I believe.
He was on the running.
People were talking about, oh, could he be the defense player of the year?
He was like that.
Yeah, and he wouldn't want it.
But you sure, there was talks.
There was whispers of a KDBO.
Yeah, because the season is seven months long.
Yeah, yeah.
You need to figure out something.
Exactly.
So I don't care about that.
But I do think that I think he's a better.
basketball player than Janus.
Like, no matter what way you want to angle that, he's better than
Janice, I think.
I think if you think that, then he should be
above him.
But I do think this specific stretch.
I think Janice's been having to carry the burden,
he carried and get that ring.
That ring's more impressive than Katie's two rings in this period,
obviously, right?
Like, completely his ring.
That one ring is more complex.
He baited him into it.
Got him.
You know what I bade me to praise is 21, Janus?
His one ring is more impressive than Katie's two rings.
And Kevin Rand had the 2016 collapse that
I think the resume and what you did as a team leader
goes towards Janice. That can be maybe a bigger gap in the town.
Bated him into bus driver arguments.
You don't got to make me the reality.
You're one of us, man. Welcome to it.
So let's draw the ball out next.
To me, he goes above KJ between.
So I'm saying, let's run the ones. Let's see who's better.
All right.
Is that fair?
That's fair.
So over Yanis too?
No.
No.
No? No.
Okay.
Victor William Yama, 24 through 26.
Real question here. Do we think he's at his beak yet?
Fuck no. God no.
I'm that hope not honestly.
But that's also a different question than just ranking three-year stretches.
Yeah, take it where it is. And obviously he's only paid three years. The first year's not in special. He was a rookie. Very good in 25. All superstar player. 26, best friend of the world candidate second MVP.
We'll go put him in honorable mention top of that probably.
does have a finals run.
Like that is, it's more,
I put him on here
because it's more impressive
than you would think.
Did we unanimous D.P.O.I.
finals run.
Like the 26th season alone
is like,
that's probably better than
Dwight's best season.
But not having a good third season
and the second season,
not being like all time.
Because that's right.
It's kind of like Dwight like.
Better than Dwight though.
He was unanimous
and what made the,
actually no,
it is right.
You're right.
With the rookie years?
Yeah.
Yeah,
yeah, you're right.
It is similar.
So it's a combo
he deserves to be talking about,
I guess, more than like...
I guess so, but...
Like it is.
He's an honorable mention.
Yeah.
I just do that one year carries a lot.
Like, it's already impressive.
What if he has three of the next three years?
He's gonna rise up quick.
Yeah.
Got to do it.
Yeah.
Where do you think he's an end up?
Like, if he only fast forwarded five years here
and this was the list,
do you think he's gonna get to being Yokish, Yonis talks?
I think, like, being in KD talks is his floor, honestly.
He's no worse than that in my mind.
He should be, of course, assuming that,
everything goes right.
Fair.
With the MVP Biggs.
Yeah.
2024 through 2026, Jalen Brunson.
I understand everything.
The only thing I ask is that he goes above Tatum and honorable mentions.
Okay, sure, whatever.
I don't care about the order there.
You can have that.
He can be first on my mentions if you'd like.
Yeah, let's do that.
Sure.
Put him to the top of honorable mentions.
If that's even a capability.
Oh, it's not.
It's not.
It's not.
Sorry, buddy.
But in our hearts and spirits, he's a best alma mention.
Wow.
In our heart, soul, mind.
in spirit. He's a best
for Alma mentioned.
Okay.
I'm surprised you don't want
to Vi-Fair him over.
I thought you said crazy yourself
this summer.
Oh, thank God.
He's saying it right now.
I don't think
you're feeling mellow today.
Yeah.
June happened a long time ago.
I think we're starting
to get back to.
Yeah, you're right.
It's worn off a movie.
Yeah.
I just watched the NBA
mini movie last night.
A mini movie.
Mini movie?
They always,
yeah,
that was made the little.
With the fandom cams?
Yeah.
It's just funny to call it
a mini movie.
I've just never heard it
be calls referred to
to it as a
It's like legal name.
When you said that, just like imagine a scene where you're cult cuddled up.
You got a snuggy on or whatever.
Hatch a popcorn right next to me.
Actually my mini movie.
My show is on.
I'll do the same thing.
It is my show.
Brussels on the TV.
I'll do the same thing.
That's how Drake fans watch the live show.
Fast.
Keep their feet up.
That thing was so long.
What was it?
I did watch it.
I was playing too.
I forgot it was happening.
Huh?
Wait, what was long?
Drake's live short.
Oh.
Yeah, I was running it up in the wreck.
I forgot it happened.
Even know what it was.
Anyways, anyway.
Kobe Bryant, 08 to 010.
I said 010.
08 to 2010.
So, higher than Wade.
Goodbye, Wade.
Do we say goodbye, Kauai?
2010.
I think you could.
Two rings.
I think so.
I think he's higher than Kauai.
I think the offensive load that he carries.
throughout this stretch and especially in these three years getting to getting to the finals in
three straight years is very very impressive yep yeah um so i would go ahead of of kawai you have the
one MVP i i think he's not as efficient obviously from the midter range as shea and you have
a bunch of tough uh tough shot taker tough shot maker all that stuff that that's the that's the conversation
we can put him above jay i don't feel like having that combo you're about to say i don't i don't
We're standing on peak Shay over Pete Kobe?
No.
Well, it's not, it's that problem.
It's also not Pete Kobe, necessarily.
That's a hard part.
It's hard to pick his feet.
What's Pete Kobe do you?
It's either here or, or like, 01 to 03.
Oh.
See, like that.
But like, it's two different versions.
Not like as refined, I think.
No, the unfortunate part is Pete Kobe is clearly when it seems suck and nothing happened.
Like the middle of those two things, like 0-6-07, that's Pete Kobe.
I just can't pick that because he didn't do shit because the team was in flux.
So we can't really.
capture Pete Kobe for a
real. That version,
if you put them in Shea's shoes,
the Thunder be better pretty clearly.
So we'll put them above Shay.
Keep moving. There's no need to
woke it up. I don't see any reason
we wouldn't put him above KG as well.
You have straight finals? Like, come on.
Let's do it.
Kriva.
She above KD?
Should I'll do that in a heartbeat.
Yeah, let's do it.
Yeah, well, why not him do, right?
You should just put Kauai down.
All right.
Put somebody on the bottom, move everybody down.
That's fun to watch the process.
I think this is good right here.
Oh, why are we moving collide?
Oh, sorry, sorry.
You already put weight down in my back, my bad.
No, you can take Hawaii down because Tim Duncan going to be on this list.
0-1-0-3, going to put Kauai down.
0-1-0-3, Duncan is here.
Oh, we need to keep going.
So are we saying Janice and Yonka-cher above Kobe?
This version, sure.
Yeah, this version.
Like, oh, because again, we can't do the 0-7.
Yeah, it's a weird, it's a weird thing.
So, sure.
Janus won D-P-O-Y and MVP.
That's fair.
That's fine.
Sure.
0-1-0-3.
Tim Duncan.
hate that. But he was at his physical peak backpacking, his best scoring volume, his best scoring
efficiency, well, relative until he lost the volume, you know, the best combination of physical
ability while being the best defender in the world. No more David Robinson coming in being the
young guy before we get to the point where the team is like mastering basketball in 2014 and stuff
like that. This is, this is my team. I'm the superstar carrying it. He was having an insane carry job,
I think during that like 03 year two. Dave Robinson was average. He was like 37, 38. He was averaging like
eight points a game or whatever.
He was firmly the guy.
I think Tony Parker was going into his first or second year, too.
He was mad new in the league.
He was, bro, at this time, he was given Shaq, belt.
Back in back MVP's, second place MVP.
So the MVP talk, like that matches Yokitin and Janus
in the regular season accolades.
He also, I think in this stretch of years,
he had some of those playoffs series, right,
where his numbers were just like fucking ape shit.
Yeah.
Yeah, he had some of those just like bonkers,
playoff series averages.
That's something so with the other guys.
it like he matches that as far as their production goes.
Go ahead and put him above Yokic.
We're having stuff conversations now.
For sure.
That's where we're at.
I think the,
I think the,
I think the,
huh?
One ring in the stretch.
Yeah.
I think the,
the back-to-back MVP's is obviously going band-to-band with,
Ben-Fibed with Yokic,
with Yonis.
It's more than Janus.
So you get a slight, like,
accolade boost there.
The two-way ability of Tim Duncan,
I think is better than Yokic and you go there.
His playoff scoring was ridiculous.
Tell me about it.
I wish I was around to understand the nuance of why he turned up his playoff scoring in the postseason compared to regular season.
In 2001, in round one, he averaged 22 and a half points, 13 rebounds, normal Tim Duncan's stats, round 22.
Then round two comes along and they play the Dallas Mavericks when 4-1 because he averages 27 and 17 round 3.
He plays 42 minutes a game against the Lakers.
they lose, but he averages 23 and 12.
Next year comes around 2002,
25 and 11,
29 and 17 in round 2 against the Lakers.
2003 comes around 18 and 16, round 1, again, normal Tim Duncan.
And then 28 and 11, 28 and 16,
24 and 17 in route to a championship over the Nets.
That was like six series over 25 points per game
when we would, you know, in the regular season numbers,
you go back and you look, he wasn't doing that type of volume.
In the deadball era.
In the deadball era against Shaq in a lot of those series,
playing 42 minutes a game,
teen off against the Lakers
in which they lost two of those matchups,
but he was going ape shit
for 42 minutes
against the energy of Shaquille O'Neal.
Yeah, in that O'3 series
against the Lakers,
he won against him the second round,
gave Shaq 28 and 12,
five assists a game.
While being the best defender alive.
I don't see any reason
he wouldn't be above Curry.
Now can he be above Shaq?
Well, Shaq was beating him in these series
sometimes.
Shaq did with two championships
in the stretch.
There's a two-year overlap between the two.
Yeah.
But people were debating that, I guess.
I'm sure back then people were saying,
I'd give me Duncan.
So above Yonkich.
Definitely above Yokic.
Curry's the line.
Well, I'm trying to think about it right now.
Trying to, trying to see.
That shooting, though.
That gravity.
Laudy.
It's a good joke.
It's a great Jake even.
Scalability.
I don't like y'all, man.
I think, yeah, we kind of have to, though.
I guess you can say, I suppose you can hold the fact that he didn't rattle off multiple rings in any stretch against him,
that no peak of Duncan had, like, a bunch of rings in the way that Curry got multiple in that stretch.
I suppose, you can say that, you know, twos are greater than one and three final strips.
But also...
better team.
It's also like,
it's back to back MVP's too.
Yeah.
So,
so to Duncan.
So again,
the deciding factor is there's more team success for Curry.
They're both like at their peak
of production individually.
They're both like fourth and fifth type of peak
in terms of just abilities.
Curry has a little more team success
that you can say the team is better,
which is true.
It's also better because of Curry.
You know,
there's the nuance of Clay and Draymond are amazing
when the next to Curry.
I don't think if you put them next to somebody else,
we'd say crazy stack cash, you know?
Yeah, but like, oh, one and 0,
too, like, if we're talking about this,
those teams are, again, if we're going over
like a six-year period, then I think maybe Steph can get it
because then you would start introducing Manu
and Tony into the conversation when they are starting to be fully formed
and then you start seeing the spurs riddle off chips
and then it's a little bit more even.
But for this specific stretch, the backpacking that Tim does,
that, yeah, that Tim does would give him the edge.
Yeah, you got a ring while backpacking.
Curry's never had a backpack.
I guess 22
not in the stretch
sure sure
called 22 backpacking
but again
there's nuance there
it doesn't matter for today
but he's never had to do
an 03 type of backpack
I was 22
you think it's
same top of backpacking
whatever sure
I think so
okay well during the stretch
then he doesn't have to do
any type of backpack
there was like yo
we can save me
like you know
I think it was kind of there
okay fair
what
what
you talk about
curry
TD
and then
McGregard is looking at it.
It's like, can I make the list?
It's just funny giving all the conversations in the space right now.
Why is he looking like that?
Why does his head turn to the side?
He's trying to mock someone.
Yeah, there's no way he's on this list.
All I'm going to mention.
It was great.
Somebody posted a tweet the other day where they were putting like Kobe stats and
T-Mex stats side by side.
And they was like, I know.
what I saw, da-da-da-da.
And then somebody else had quote tweeted it with a video of T-Max saying, like,
you know, we don't make out the playoffs.
It's on me.
Like, we only go as far.
And the fact that they did not win any playoffs series,
that's all on him.
Put him in honorable mention.
Yep.
So crazy.
Is he Tatum talks?
No.
That's weird.
He's the last name.
He's the last name.
He's a last name.
We just add the video by shutting on T-Mack for the reason.
He's a much better score than he's like a tier of
love Tatum as a score.
A couple tears.
That's cool.
No Larry, though.
You got it.
I'm glad you can get that off on somebody.
I think our top six is perfect.
The only question would be people will say in the comments is they're going to be
mad at us who are being Kobe behind Yokic and Janus.
You guys don't feel good about that.
I could imagine world where Kobe can go ahead of Janus probably.
I can imagine worlds too, but do you feel like you should do that?
Do you feel bad about it?
Are you good?
Because I'm just talking with the comments you're saying.
Maybe in this stretch.
Maybe in this stretch.
where I guess if...
I'm not buying you the way.
I'm just letting you know what the people are going to say.
Yeah, I think the argument for it would be that in two of these years,
Janus isn't as fully formed.
Actually, you're right.
And like you said earlier, the fact that Janus's weaknesses did...
Put Kobe above him.
Put Kobe above him.
I forget that two of these years, Janus actively sabotaged the team in the playoffs.
Above Janus?
Yeah.
Yeah, he got handcuffed.
Yeah, I think I let the next team.
years of Janus as well.
Also kind of clouded my judgment because the year after the wall, it felt like there was just
a decision made by them to not give, to not include Janus in any of the ballots
because of the playoff failures.
Because I think the cycle that we would go through is that Janus would go through the
entire year, played like Janus, and then we would get to February.
It's like, hey, you know, Janus is actually having his best season ever.
Yeah.
And then we get to March.
It's like, is Janus low-keyed the MVP?
And then April comes around.
And then he's just not on the ballot.
Yeah, 21 through 24, Janus was definitely in a weird stretch.
We've overlooked like that.
Yeah.
But then it also came along with like some of the team.
Yeah.
Like a success and injuries and stuff.
So he is a weird one to track his peak because I think he was a better player than he was then.
But, you know, then things kind of fell apart.
He wasn't winning DPO-wise.
The defense slipped a little bit.
But like offensively, like, he's back at his best in the past 48 months.
I mean 24 months
In the past few years
He's still like
Kind of the best version of offense
Has ever been
So much will round it out
Even though he's not Dunkin the same
I think this is probably perfect
She makes it
And the haters cry
Wow okay
I feel good about
And honestly I don't know
Who should She have even
Not made it in front of like
I guess people could argue Wade
If they're upset about that one
I get
Cage you got bounced the fuck out of there man
Tough
To nine which is like fair
He held on for as long as he could
Yeah we're
We were doing too much for a little bit.
I felt it.
I felt it piled up.
I felt it.
That's cool, though.
I think nine's very fitting
for ninth-best peak of the modern era.
The thing is, modern era is a strong-ass stretch.
Like, this is 30 years almost.
Yeah.
This is a lot of history.
Do you take Dane or a T-Mack?
I'd probably go Dame.
It's because a lot of the playoffs and which are crazy.
Yeah, probably.
So first three cuts, Kauai, Hardin, and Wade.
Are you good about that?
Sure.
And there we are.
Yeah.
With that being said, this is our 10 best peaks in modern NBA history.
Let's talk about something else.
Be Souls, what are we talking about in today's producer corner?
Today, I want to ask, what age is too old for these things?
Okay.
Here we go.
Number one, getting a section in the club.
I've never done that before.
So I really don't like.
I saw it from Kevin Mesa's five.
I didn't even know what they said.
I was like, oh, my God.
You did we get sections in the club?
I don't know.
Yeah.
What they said?
This is not the question for me.
I'll be honest.
I was like, oh my God, I was doing this idea already.
They brought it up.
I don't know.
I don't know what they said.
I'd assume like maybe 34.
I don't know.
32 year old.
33.
I'll say, yeah, I'll say 33.
You happen to, to you, once you hit your mid 30s, we're not, we're not doing that anymore.
You should, you should probably be somewhere else.
But also, if you, if you are in a stage of,
life where you are starting to get money in your 30s.
Exactly.
That happens like most people.
Yeah.
And you can go to the club at 35.
So the question about the section, I don't know.
I don't know the nuances of that enough.
Honestly, he's a 40?
Yes, it's definitely way older than 34.
You're way under shooting it.
You can be 40 in the club.
It's too personal for us.
Knees, knees, aches, and all.
Yeah.
Listen to the boss man.
Damn.
40 in the club.
I don't know about that one
Yeah, I don't know
You put it that way, right?
I love how every
Era of your life
You think the next era is like old as fuck
You're gonna turn 35
You're like, you don't be in the club of 40
Like it's normal
40 like it's 60
Yeah
Okay next
Watching Disney Channel
Is there ever too old
I don't know
I mean I stopped
I stopped when I was 11
I will say this
I think it's a little weird
if someone who's like a little older
is overly indulged on the new stuff
that Disney puts out that just clearly ass
then it's like all right
hype for Camp Rock 3
13
not 13 is too young
if you're 14 watching Disney Channel
it's not terrible yeah wrong with that
maybe like at high school
I mean it's not my taste but I wouldn't be like
they're a fucking freak might be the line maybe
because like when
and what are we talking so you're saying if you had like a 14 year old
brother he's watching the Disney channel.
You're going to be like,
get outside.
Are you going to like shame him?
You too gone for this, man.
Yeah.
What are you doing?
I don't know.
Like, if you're like sitting your alarm and it's like...
Setting your alarm.
No one does that.
He's a modern kid.
He's using Disney Plus and he's watching these shows.
At his own leisure.
See,
that's different.
And I guess I guess I'm thinking about it in a very,
very much like in our era where it's like you...
Like, it's not a streaming thing, so you had to, like, be.
Yeah.
You got to watch the channel for real.
Yeah.
And the thing is that kids...
You have to be locked in.
Teenagers and stuff these days aren't watching Disney Channel.
Like, that shit's dead.
They're watching YouTube and Twitch and shit.
Like, they're not out here checking for Disney Channel shows.
Yes, Christ, they're watching Twitch.
Do they even make Disney channel shows like that anymore?
They probably make significantly less.
They probably still, they probably still make them.
But the pipeline's going to keep going.
Yeah.
They make way less than you used to, though.
Yeah.
What was the last, like, Disney, Disney show that you were, like, really tapped in on?
Really?
It really.
Good luck, Charlie.
Finney's Ferb was
Disney?
Yeah
I thought that was Nick
So I don't know
I'll say yeah I'll say
Yeah probably good luck Charlie's the last one
Let's say 15
Paying since it's true
Next
Believing in Santa
All right frame this this way
You have a son
He believes in Santa
At what age are you expected
That you don't have to put up that facade anymore
What age are you tired of that shit
He's 11 and he still believes in it
And he goes to school
And kids tell him it's fake
And he's still like
No
Santa loves me.
Are you upset at him?
He's a little like Vicki Bow.
Are you saying grow the fuck up at 11?
I think the line, 11's too much.
How do you in fifth grade?
9, 10 years old.
You haven't to elementary school until the end of-
When you do your fifth grade graduation,
you walk that little stage, you better stop.
Take it.
Come here, come here, come here.
Honestly, if you're a kid that goes...
I got to tell you something.
You can't go into middle school thinking about Santa.
Fact, because middle school is when kids get ruthless.
And they're going to, like,
they're going to laugh at you for believing in Santa.
And, like,
you shouldn't put me in the position to have a kid that lame.
Yeah.
So I would say, I would say ideally
fourth grade
but fifth grade is the absolute last year.
Yeah, I agree.
I think ideally like second grade.
Second grade is crazy.
Ideally, I'm not going to give you okay.
No childhood.
You can get to third grade.
I'm not saying, so I think my first grade.
You said ideally you just don't want to make the
looking cookies no more.
Precisely.
At first grade, I knew.
I put up the facade because my mom is the type
that she wanted me to believe in sand and shit.
I knew when I was like six or seven.
I wasn't a moron, but I had to put on the facade until I was like nine.
I want them to know and put on the facade for a few years.
I don't want them to genuinely believe that shit at 10.
That's a bit of a like, damn, for real.
You're that gullible?
Like, damn, I got an idiot on my hands.
Yeah.
Like, dumbass?
You have a random logistics yet?
You didn't talk this shit through?
All five billion kids?
One night?
He got a hell cat.
What do you want me to say?
it like you got a hell
I fucked up somewhere
this kid has no critical thinking
I wanted to pretend for me
for like three years
if he thought about it and he came to that conclusion
oh I'm fucked
I made some bad decisions in life
I don't know what I did but I didn't produce the one
okay next
going to a high school football game
oh it depends there's some there's some like
parts of like Texas where high school football is like all they got
and it's like a whole cultural thing where the whole city
shows up so that's a little different
I can't really hold that against people.
So you can kind of do it forever.
But there's also a certain tone to it where you know what that's fine.
Sometimes it's like I'm clinging on to high school.
Yeah.
People are going and like talking to high schoolers and shit.
Yeah.
That's a little different.
I think you got one year after high school where for that.
Not even that.
I think you get one game your first semester of college.
That's it.
After that, you're going, nah.
I think it depends who you sit with when you talk to.
If you're talking to the students in the student section and shit,
you're fucking get over it.
But if you're like, if it's some Friday night light shit and you're in Dillon, Texas,
and that's the whole city goes up for the best team in the state and everyone goes in supports,
I can't be too mad at it.
Yeah, it's so nuanced.
If you're like a former player or whatever and you have all, it's like some, I don't know,
some anniversary of your team's really good and you're cool with all the teachers and coaches and shit.
Sure.
You got like, you have like a little two, three year, maybe a four year stretch.
You know what I'll say.
I'll say you can go to high school football games forever.
You can't go to your high school and talk to your teachers after like a year and a half.
Okay.
That's the one.
When people go back and visit their English class,
they just did an episode about this on the,
on adults,
the comedy show,
you know what this?
I haven't watched it yet.
That one actually is on the list.
It's hilarious.
It's very good.
They did an episode about that where one of the girls
she goes back to her high school
and talks for English teacher a lot.
Can't do that for like a year.
Yeah.
I'll say,
I'm assuming just like,
across the country,
just random,
maybe maybe like 20 20 I think yeah once because once you especially once you can legally drink the
I don't think that the high school football game should be the the spot yeah I've seen now I've
seen people the the white bro's on on TikTok some of them they'd be going to just like random to random
like high school games especially like if it's if it's like good high school football team
Okay, that's different, yeah.
Yeah.
But just like a regular one?
Yeah, probably 20.
Okay.
Next.
Spring break.
That was a hard cap for that, right.
What is it?
I think it's like, when do people typically graduating?
I was like 22, 23?
I think you got until like 24 max.
That's it.
25, you can't go?
25, bro.
When we say spring break, obviously it's going during that week.
Are we talking like going to spring break hotspots?
Yeah.
Like Miami or wherever.
We're two San Pedro.
Yeah.
Because if you just take a vacation in March and you just call it spring break,
but you're not going to Miami, Houston, whatever, that's fine.
Yeah, but you're going to the hot spots.
You're at the fucking beach clubs that the college kids are at and shit.
Like, actively you're seeking out to party with the college kids.
Yeah.
You're looking at the flyers, the Chadgy BP Flyers for parties in Miami.
Yeah.
Even then, though, timing your yearly vacation to spring break as a grown-ass man.
You got to seek that out.
But you have to call up vacation.
March is in a number.
normal vacation time. Yeah. You don't need to do that. Like, do the summer. You have two years
post-graduation. Two years? Because most, because most of the time, like, unless you're really,
really tight with the freshman class that comes in. Oh. Why are you tired with a freshman class?
That's what, that's what I'm saying. So a lot of times, but a lot of times, like, you do have
friends that are, like, two years younger or two years older. So you have two years post-graduation
to be at spring break. After that, it's weird. Yeah. I don't.
Last one.
Using Snapchat.
I stopped using Snapchat on like 17.
But now there's a new way of teenagers use it.
It's a teenage app.
If you're 22 using Snapchat, it's like,
I guess it's the vigor in which you use it.
If you're doing it,
if you're on the bitch every day,
racking up your score,
I'm like, grow up.
You got 15 streaks.
Yeah, the streaks is hilarious.
If you just held on longer
you're occasionally posting a story and shit,
like, I don't know.
But like...
See, the thing is,
I stopped using Snapchat
when I was like maybe 22, 23-ish or whatever.
But mainly because it was peak because you didn't have,
they didn't charge for no storage at all.
And whenever I'm like recording something quicker,
taking pictures,
it was mad or useful.
Now these days they're charging for storage.
It's insane.
So it was just like free space.
I didn't know that.
Yeah.
Yeah,
I didn't know that.
It's been off of my phone for years.
I was never big on Snapchat.
So I don't,
I don't know the proper number for this.
I feel like Snapchat's definitely one of those apps were like,
you think people aren't using it,
but more people use it than you think.
And teenagers too.
Like it,
yeah,
they do a good job of appealing to teenagers.
Because at the day,
there's always going to be teens
that want to send messages
that disappear forever.
And they do other stuff on that app now too.
So it'll always be huge for the next group of teens
age into it as people age out.
Yeah.
I'm gonna say like along the lines of when you graduate college,
maybe 22, 23.
Fair.
Growing an ice man with a corporate job using Snapchat.
Yeah,
no.
Showing off your slot bowl.
You got a finance job being a slot bowl in Midtown,
showing it off on Snapchat.
All right.
Give you a LinkedIn.
Patagonia on.
All right, and that's it.
So you've seen that the other day.
I've never seen a second.
I haven't seen that another day.
You've seen someone doing it live in action.
I avoid wherever the finance brothers are eating their slot bowls.
Give me away.
And with that being said, that is the end of producer corner.
Let's move on to TikTok time.
Woo!
Welcome to TikTok time.
Today per usual, we are going to begin with a draft.
and today we are going to draft NBA teams blindly.
We are going to see a series of NBA stats with no names involved.
We're going to have six rounds, one for every position, as well as a six man, actually seventh round for a coach.
We will take turns, going through a draft order, deciding which one of these mystery players we want and go through like a normal order.
And by the end, after each round, we'll all pick a player and reveal who the players you picked as well as the ones you passed up on and could have had.
Last week we did this on house call.
I think I bludgeoned you guys.
Donovan, you had a terrible team.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, you didn't bludgeoning me, man.
I had a straight team.
I respectfully beat you at a bludgeoning this time.
Donovan, are you ready to do the bludgeoning this time?
I am.
I am ready.
You got a lot of ground to cover.
I am prepared for the unknown.
Okay.
What is the draft order this time, Beasles?
The draft order is Isaac, Moe, and Donovan.
Okay, so we'll do that.
Also, I thought of a fatal flaw last time.
You're in the middle every time.
You never get to pick first.
In this one, we should do that.
So I think in the snake, you'll go second.
time you'll go first in the snake order
and then we'll go to you first the following time
and like figure it out so you know what I mean
there's two rounds all three of us will get to go first
twice listen I was gonna go through the odds I didn't care
I was gonna come out somehow
you want the middle of a do normal snake
he has a strategy in play I see
okay and there you go so first round point guards are up
I go first let's see
Mr. Point Guard A 22, 4 and 7
59% true shooting 24 years old
pretty good
don't know the scoring the first
guys.
That 9.8 assists.
Yeah.
Not particularly efficient.
4.4 rebound.
So point guard.
Keep that low efficiency
you should away from me, though.
Player E, 48% true shooting.
You could never play for me.
God no.
I'm going to go with
Player C, that screams a bonus to me.
16 to 8 and 7.
For a point guard?
Oh, it's a point guard, right?
I forgot.
Fine.
Don't say nothing.
Player C, that screams Josh Gitty to me.
608 and 7
Hmm
Okay
I'm gonna go with player A
Give me the efficiency
The high assist and scoring
Probably can rebound
It's probably small
Give me that shifty fast guy
Okay
Player A is mine
Okay
Is that field goal percentage
Or two shooting
Two shooting percentage and three point percentage
Okay okay okay cool
Oh man
21%
It's tough
No I just couldn't see
It's still for some reason
It's still like a little bit
he's blurry for me
damn near but I refuse
for no reason
put them on
I'm being a man bro
you're being a line man I mean my
I'm in my carrots and I'm working on it actively
do eye workouts
blinking real hard that doesn't help man
I know that I got a moisturize
my eyes more
moisture get my kale in
you know kale's good for you
for you guys yep
give me player D I think
1789
36% from 3.000
line that's tough I overlook player D
I like you didn't see him at all yeah he's just a good
player yeah I never think of a player D I got to just glossed gloss past him
but he could be bad though honestly because I you have all his
stats yeah so there's no way I may have punited
this actually that is Josh Giddy actually that is Josh Giddy I'm thinking
that might be Josh Giddy 9.1 assist sounds like Josh Giddy
23 years old oh fuck
Domin who you want um my point guard
I would want my point guard to shoot a
little bit better than 21%
from 3. I will be going with
player C. Smart. Okay.
The 48% is such a non-starter.
Isaac. It really is.
You chose Player A, right?
Yes. Okay, you get
2013 Steph Curry.
Ballard. Fulner. Fuck rebounding.
I've always said it. Okay.
Mo, you pick
D?
Sadly, yes.
You get
Josh Giddy. I knew it.
I knew it.
Please.
Show us all the stats for no reason.
Please give me a good player.
I love speaking something into existence.
None of who'd you pick?
C.
C, you get Ben Simmons 2019.
You said, I want my three-point shooter better.
You couldn't have gotten the most opposite player ever.
You said I need better than 21%.
I was zero.
All right.
Mystery point guard B was.
How does this work?
2010 Rondo.
Okay.
Mystery point guard E was.
2002 Jason Kee.
Okay.
48% true shootings.
ridiculous, bro.
Okay.
Maybe Steve Nash is better.
Damn.
I don't like this.
How do you get fucking all these games?
I don't know.
You never do a good job.
I don't know.
Actually, to be fair,
Ben Simmons is a great player?
Yo,
is six man a true six man?
You're a good man.
True six man.
Damn.
Those are all six men.
Okay.
Allegedly.
Allegedly, all right.
We'll see.
I just wanted.
Sounds like I can.
I didn't want somebody who can actually shoot.
Listen, man, I got giddy.
You don't have the same problems as me right now.
Yeah, you got a star at least.
You can orient your line up around.
Get an all for, man.
It's just funny you requested something.
Exactly.
All right, let's go to shooting guard.
All right.
Donovan, your turn to go first.
Let's see.
Let's see.
All right, so, player E's looking very enticing,
given that Ben Simmons can't shoot.
The 61% true shooting,
the 43% from 3, 22 a night.
Seems like a very solid player.
Off of the three-point shooting alone,
I'm going with player E.
Okay.
You went real fast there.
Fair, fair, okay.
I have first pick, I need to take advantage of it.
Okay.
Player D looks crazy to shit.
A lot of six rebounds, seven assists,
38% from three point line.
31 points per game and player B?
Yeah, you're not tricking me, buddy.
What you know what it is?
Tricking.
I don't know who that might be.
Into 31 points again.
I'm just analyzing my scenario.
I have a player who that might be.
That's why.
Oh, I don't know who that is.
Take the score in shape.
if you want.
Fucking idiot.
Oh, man.
I think what I'm going to do is go with...
See, I have a lot of passing already with Giddy.
You do?
How building my team around?
Giddy, fuck.
But you got to get him, you got to bounce?
Yeah, exactly.
So I think for that case, give me player D.
Oh, yeah, you goofed.
I thought you said you don't want the assist.
So you want to play a D?
Yeah, look at the 3% of the percentage moves me.
38% is a lot.
Okay.
Is B Bradley Biel?
Is that what you were thinking?
Potentially.
That's what I'm thinking.
22, 6, and 5.
I don't think he averaged 31 though.
He ever's 32 one year?
Maybe you're right.
And then he averaged,
I think he averaged 30 and 32,
but I don't think it was 31.3.
I'm trying to think a YC might be appealing.
Maybe he's a really good defender.
But he doesn't grab boards at that,
and I have Curry who's small.
I'll go player B.
If it's Bradley B, I'll still take that, honestly.
Player B, I don't think he's going to be a bad player.
It's solid efficiency.
Okay.
Donovan, you get
Ray Allen, 2001.
Hell yeah.
Perfect fit.
Hell yeah.
Perfect fit.
Finally.
The logic was sound.
Three four percentage worked.
Okay.
Mo, you get
James Hardin in 2019.
Oh, fuck yes.
Who, tough.
Okay.
And then Isaac, you get.
Radley Bix.
I knew it too.
I'm cool with that.
I wanted that.
It's a good fit.
I like that.
Okay.
Mystery players he was.
2014, Nick Young.
Thank God.
Didn't do that.
Jesus.
Mystery player.
A was 2000
Kobe Bryant. Oh, I should have
picked that. Interesting. Y'all did avoid
the trap of Nick Young. Yeah, yeah. I should
pick Kobe. Fuck.
Okay. Okay. So I get
B. I'm cool with that. I feel like any other time I would
have gotten Nick Young.
Finally, luck is on your side.
That was the Bortles of this time.
And how it's called Donovan picked Bortles over Prime Aaron Rogers.
Okay.
All right. Simington Allen. Strong pairing.
It's cool. It's very nice.
Curry and B.
It's like mini splash bro.
They need some good defenders now.
I need good defenders, man.
I got Gideon Hardin.
What are you talking about?
I got problems here, man.
All right.
My turn to getty, bro.
All right, my turn to go first.
No elite score is shown.
I bet there's an elite score by an Air B though.
Ooh, player B
37.9% and 3.
Only two assists a game.
I feel like if you're good,
you're not getting two assists a game.
You must be a black hole.
Unless that's like OG.
7 rebounds a lot
I could bet that that's OG
and OG would change my fucking life right now
I'm not picking a 31%
3 point shooter so C and D are cooked
A brings more playmaking
I'm thinking that's like Franz Wagner or something
I don't need that
actually I was 29 year old
that some kind of point forward wing which I don't need
right now with two guards
19 and 5 you know I'm gonna bet
the player B is like OG and Anobie
that's why he's not passing
and he can shoot well enough
it's a 3 and D guy I'm gonna go player B
Okay
Very astute analysis
There you go
I hope I'm right
See right now I'm in between
Player D or Player E
I'm between player D and E
Because I'm like yo could D just be straight up LeBron
31% from 3?
A rookie year version of LeBron or something
You want that?
Do you want rookie LeBron with Hardin and Giddy?
I'll take any version of LeBron honestly
Fair
Fair
Fares
36%
Is it really?
Really?
But I don't think it's true shooting percentage is that high.
Like, the free throws are like, yeah, I think that's too high for a rookie LeBron.
I think, but is LeBron.
It is LeBron.
You can never go wrong chasing LeBron.
Yeah, exactly.
Would I be surprised?
No, I couldn't be because it's LeBron.
Exactly.
I'm in between D and E right now.
Again, three point percentage moves me.
I'm going E.
Or he has a 51% true shooting.
You got to be good.
That sucks.
You got to be good, man.
Yeah, let's see.
All right.
So he's taking E.
I'm between A and D right now.
Okay.
I think A is just like a solid player.
Yep.
Seven rebounds, five assists.
That's good.
That could be a superstar, honestly.
Could do a little something.
But that's Tatum.
Could be.
Honestly, it might be.
Does Tatum's not?
Yeah, he's not a shooter like that.
Oh, but 29 years old, actually.
So I think Tatum, that would be like, how old is he now?
28, 29.
Yeah, he's not 29, you don't think.
Or he's just turning that.
Yeah.
How old is he?
I don't know.
Why don't you know?
He's 28.
He's one year older than us.
No, I think he's 29 because Trace 208.
This is your man.
You should know how old he is.
Okay, he's 28, 29, whatever he falls in the birthday year.
Yeah.
But Luca's our age.
I know he's 2018.
Trace 29?
No, he's not 29.
I think he's like 28.
Oh, that's what you said.
Okay.
Yeah.
Gotcha, got you gotcha.
Okay.
Trace 29.
Jesus Christ.
That sounds like what?
Anyways, who do you want to take me?
Yeah.
I don't know.
We're confused with numbers.
Just yapping.
I know.
He's just saying bullshit.
All right, so given that I have,
I have Ben Simmons,
I don't necessarily need somebody
who has seven assist a game
that's a little bit higher usage.
I've been Simmons,
I'm going to run everything through him.
Give me player A.
Just somebody that I know is a good player.
That was a good pick.
Okay.
Isaac, you pick player B.
You get Carmelo Anthony.
Okay.
I thought it was OG
because he wouldn't pass
because he didn't touch the ball.
Nope, he just only scored.
You got a weird team, man.
Got a weird ass team.
Yeah.
Mo, you pick player E.
You get 2011 Michael Beasley.
I knew you picked this terrible player.
Why would you pick 51 shootings?
Well, honestly, I didn't see that 51% shooting.
He told you.
He told you.
Donovan, you picked.
Philly's finest Jalen Brown.
Okay.
Yeah, that's a good player.
Oh, you're cooking.
I think you got the best team so far.
He's winning easily so far until he borders himself again.
Stop, relax, relax, relax.
I'm super nervous right now.
He's the bull bowl himself.
Player C was, Kelly Ubre.
Okay.
Player D was 26 LeBron James.
Fuck.
You're right.
Whoa.
You knew it was LeBron.
It was the wrong one, though.
He was old.
You knew it was LeBron.
You didn't pick him.
Ah, man.
You picked Beasley.
That's embarrassing.
Over Braun.
How do you feel?
Sick as hell.
Damn.
12 mil.
My team is just.
Just buckets.
At this point, I'm going all in an offense.
I'm not going to bother picking defenders.
Why would I?
I'm not going to be a good defense.
I might as well be the best offense of all time.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next, power forwards.
Donving up first.
All right.
I need some rebounding.
So Power forward B looks very intriguing in this spot.
It's a lot of rebounds.
Power forward D, you are never playing for my team.
6.46 rebounds.
Get out of here.
Power forward E?
maybe
that 28
it's in 59%
shrew shooting screams potential
but I'm not sure
and like the 55% true shooting
is like it's whatever
but I think that the 19 and 11
from player B
is enough
now
player A is also
18 and 9
slightly more efficient
more assist
this feels like
Evan Mobley is one of these two guys
You think so? A or B?
I think so.
Fair.
Because I think we're getting some version of 18 and 8 out here.
Yeah.
I just don't know where to put it down.
I'm not sure he actually averaged 18 and 8.
Did he?
I think he did.
Oh, good.
Yeah, maybe for a stretch.
I'm going to lean on the rebounds.
Actually, now, it's two rebounds.
Wow, this is so hard.
I know.
This is so hard.
Where you going?
Is three point forces, slightly more efficient.
We'll go Player A here.
Okay.
Player A is for you.
should it went B. I should have went with the blocks.
But I'll go in.
Yeah.
I'm locking it in.
I'm going player B because the blocks move me, bro.
I need defenders.
Go out of the rebounders?
Jal did the top two.
2.2 assists per game.
I am going all in on buckets.
I couldn't tell you to match that.
Is that 0.2 blocks per game?
Yes.
On player C?
Yes.
25 year old.
I think I'm going to go towards E.
E.
I'm going to efficiency match.
And I'm going to hope.
that's a shooter and block shot blocker okay donovan you pick player a i did this is
08 kg oh my god yeah we get let's go let's go mo you get oh 8 tim duncan oh my god i wasn't
gonna miss i got a card on my hands i think you get 29 jubias harris
Tobias Harris
Who is C I should have big C shouldn't I
C is Zibo
O7 Zbo
I don't care that much
D is
2024 cloud
Oh you're cooked regardless
Two great answers
Y'all took them
Man okay
I guess my spacing would have been fucked
If I got Zibo
So I guess Harris is the best I could have done
Tobias Harrison Mello
Do guys who do the exact same thing
I don't go all in on buckets
I got four buckets so far
Let's get a fifth
Who man my team is so fucking weird
Give me Yo Kitch, I got a straight bucket game.
Spacing gimmick.
Yo, man, this is so funny.
It's not even spacing him.
It's pacing sucks.
They just get buckets.
Okay.
Center!
All right, I'm first.
I'm picking the best offensive player I can.
I'm going to all in on getting these buckets because I got no defense yet.
Does that say 40% true shooting?
Oh, 48.
Either way, you fucking suck.
That's 15 rebounds a game.
Jesus Christ.
Keep them.
Keep them.
That's crazy.
You can never play on my team.
I do need a rebounder though
B's pretty
decently efficient but for a center
that's not particularly efficient
and I did say I'm offensive maxing
so I could go 19 and 9 with 60%
true shooting but he's not blocking shit
that he's really not blocking anything
yeah that's probably like so bonus
that's probably so bonus right there
but he's probably clearing 10 rebounds
for game he's probably right at that long
but also for C
3.2 blocks
that's a lot man
Super at.
Swinging shit, yeah.
He's a horrible offensive player.
That's probably Batumbo.
You don't want Matambo.
Actually, no, no.
He with no defense?
No, I'm offensive maxing.
I told you.
I don't want Mubonbo.
You can't afford one defender?
No.
Actually, no, but I don't think it was Batonbo
because Mutumbo I don't think was missing that much.
Might be Ben Wallace, though.
You know what?
Should I just do it?
Fuck it.
Give me the horrible offensive player at C
just to see what happens with my offensive line.
probably a go to defender.
Give me C.
He has to be a go to defender.
He has to be.
I'll take this terrible offensive player.
Three blocks, 15 rebounds,
I'll take him.
Why not?
Okay.
Okay.
You got him.
I'm in between.
I really wanted 17 to 14.
That's probably a demon.
B or E.
Probably two blocks.
B's probably a player from the past
where efficiency was lower.
B's probably a superstar.
I did see for the bit, but I want to be.
17 and 14.
I'm trying to think about who that.
Don't let him sway you, well.
I'm telling you the truth.
I'm already done.
I'm between B and E.
E moves me because it's like, okay,
21 and 9.
I don't know what the boss are looking like.
That could just be like, oh, that's 25 years old.
It's not Chris Bosch, is it?
I guess it could be.
He'll find out soon.
But he's not a, he's not a center.
He's a power forward.
Hmm.
Ah, man, this is tough because the block shots is like everything to me right now.
I really don't give a fuck about offense anymore because I have harder than Tim Duncan.
so it's straight.
I just need you to play your role simply as that.
So, you know what?
Fuck it.
This is a flyer.
Give me E.
Perfect.
Give me E.
Okay.
Perfect.
A, you are 33 years old.
Big men do not normally last until they are in their mid-30s.
I'm not taking A.
D, you're a big man.
You have .6 blocks.
You are not playing for me.
I'm taking player B.
Okay.
Player B.
This is ultimate swing.
for me, man.
I took C.
Isaac, you got
03 Ben Wallace.
I thought it was Ben Wallace.
That's good.
Okay.
Well, who'd you pick?
E.
You get
2021 Christian Wood.
I thought you bezing me a star.
Okay.
And then Donovan, you get...
He's the worst player here.
Hassan White Side.
Ooh, not a star.
Listen, all I need is the shot blocker.
Senator D was
Nicole Eauk is 2020.
Okay.
damn
center a
can't play
for me
senator a was
06 shack
damn
yeah that's like
the last version of shack
yeah
yeah
yoke's shot blocking
scared the shot at
does ben wallis
make my team
make sense
yeah
absolutely
he don't need
the fucking
sick
him and tobias
don't need the ball
I can tell
bradley bill
to touch the ball
we'll play through
curry and mellow
you said funnel
everything
that's what hell of
I got in fun with you I guess
yeah
well I fucking lost
I got three lemons on my team man
what the fuck I was to do
you got two gods
and three lemons
like bro
this is so crazy
what am I gonna do
with Simmons and white side
oh fuck
Simmons could work
but white side though
uh Simmons and white side
and KG another big
that's tough
he's not spacing three
y'allon mean screens
for Ray Allen
come off of fours
screens at once.
Floppy every player.
None of these teams make sense.
So I got like the two best players of all time, do I?
You're the best duo I've ever seen for sure.
But to what end?
Yeah, I know.
Six man time.
Six man.
Donovan back up.
It's all me.
Six man need.
All these fucking question marks.
Yeah.
First of all, it's wildcard man.
24% for three.
I'm taking one of them.
Not doing it.
we're gonna do the same thing
44% from three
hey b is a demon
b yeah b and e are where i'm looking at right now
but 44% from three
six assists a game i'm taking player b
bro a b and e are all buckets i bet they don't defend at all
probably and that's exactly what i want for my six men
bro they all shoot 40% 60% shoot shooting buckets
who'd you who'd you pick i'm taking b b
okay
They didn't, you gave me four question marks for C and D.
But the mystery box, I bet there's a good one in there.
That's what I'm saying.
There's one demon.
I'm going against all logic here.
Yeah, y'all too need a demon.
The only logic I might use is that, yo, you are swaying us the opposite way by showing us only their
bad stats.
Someone has to be good, right?
Yeah, like C, they only show you a three point.
Watch him be amazing and everything else.
Exactly.
That's not going to see.
And that's exactly what he wants you.
Yeah, I didn't want to do that.
I'm going to see.
I'm going to be a demon.
He grabs boards and he's a crazy score.
I need E.
E?
Yeah, that's an awesome bench player.
Donovan, you pick player B.
I did.
You get 24 Mike Conley.
Okay.
Okay.
Mo, you pick player C.
Yes.
You got 04 Brian Scalabino.
So he's getting no minutes on my team.
We boxed these idiots.
I assume he was going to be good.
We put him in a mental box.
I was going to do that regardless.
Donovan, you got player E.
Strap his shit.
No, he got player E.
I got player E.
player e oh isa you got player e you get josh heart okay yo yo i needed josh hard he's closing games over
brad beale player a was demon 26 tory and prince you're losing man fuck and player d he's the best player
here was 93 michael jordan fuck honestly i could have mj i can't believe you didn't pick that one
if i was to go mystery i was the one that i can't believe i've seen 24 percent i'm like okay this got to be
some type of
some type of bad
I can't believe you did that
I could have had
MJ
you got 04
Scal over MJ
I got the worst version
Scalibrated too
though what's the best version
I don't know
some Celtic shit
bro
not 93 Jordan
man sure I know
okay my team's making sense
now fuck Bradbill
we're closing games
of heart
well I was rooted
for you man
damn
damn bro
I was
we read him like a book
we knew there's gonna be a deal
there's going to be a demon in the mystery ones.
All right.
Last one.
We always read the wrong one.
It's too predictable.
Too predictable.
I know it was a fucking bag.
Coaching.
Okay.
The bottom state championship?
What's I say?
Retired.
A.
Retired.
They retired.
One retired.
Dude, no, Coach A has so many games to his name.
None of them have crazy records,
but it's pretty hard with a big sample size sport to have crazy records.
Three teams, no rings.
One guy is a champion.
in only one ring though
I think the best coaches
all have multiple rings
so one ring doesn't do much for me
let's play Mike Brown
and Coach A
that's Larry Brown
sure or Larry Brown
oh it does
retired yeah
so it's probably Larry Brown
and coach A
B C or D
because I want a ring
the best coaches have rings
four teams
one team
huh
B could be like
it could be
Spolstra or Kerr
with that amount of games maybe
Or it could be garbage.
The best winning percentage of B, C, and D is B.
I would go with that.
Hey, you're going B.
Okay.
Ooh, man.
I could go so bad.
Nonverbal.
Yeah, man.
I don't know why, but E might be good.
He definitely could be good.
Three teams, though.
No rings and three drivers?
No Larry?
Three cities?
No Larry?
No, Larry?
It's tough.
What if he's at the best coach
in everyone to ring though?
Who is that?
I have no clue.
Yeah.
Bobby him.
Three teams is a lot of teams
a little bit too much
that's on the higher end of things.
Is Nick Nurse Coach three teams yet?
No, he's a ring.
Yeah.
He's coached two teams.
It's not Carlisle.
You know, give me A.
I need someone who's just proven, bro.
Okay.
I get you your ring.
Okay.
I will take D
because you took B, right?
Yeah.
No, I took, yeah, it took B.
Yeah, you took B.
I think C,
Four teams in a record that is basically 500 don't really want that.
You suck.
And then three teams, no rings.
You keep trying.
I don't really want to do with that.
Give me, give me D.
Okay.
Isaac, you pick Coach B.
You get Eric Spolstra.
Called it.
Damn.
Mo, you pick Coach A.
You get Doc Rivers.
Nice.
It's James Harden.
Choking every game imaginable.
He said Proving.
Donovan, you pick Coach D.
You get.
You get Tom Tibido.
Oh, PTSD, back with you.
Coach C was Frank Vogel.
All right.
Coach E was Monty Williams.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank God.
Thank God.
Thank God, man.
Well, we got the best three.
Yeah.
Actually, you probably rather Frank Vogel than Doc.
Yeah, you got you.
I don't know.
It just, like you said, you have him and Hardin.
You're going to blow every lead.
Prang Vogel, you can keep a lead.
No, I have, I have Tibbs also.
I was really one pick away from Michael Jordan, man.
That would have flipped everything.
I have Tibbs and KG.
We're going to,
Tibbs are going to get the best out of White Side as well defensively.
You do got KG and Ray.
I'm really the-
But they don't fuck with each other.
In no way, they did.
Yeah, this is, this is, oh, one,
he has a left you.
He has a left you.
Okay.
Got Jalen Brown there in the middle.
You got the best team.
Ben Simmons, KG, Whiteside,
and Tibbs.
Nobody's scoring more than 75 points a game.
Also, Conley can just close games over Simmons.
That's also true.
Actually, over White Side.
Put Simmons at the four.
That's also true.
Yeah, keep telling me why I win.
I have Steph Curry, Brad Beale, Carmelo, Anthony,
Tobias Harris, Ben Wallace, and Josh Hart,
coached by Eric Spolstra.
And I got Josh Giddy.
2019 Hardin, though.
Michael Beasley.
Oh, wait, Tim Duncan, though.
I got Christian Wood and Brian Scarlett, Breeding, and Dog Rivers.
Fuck.
And I have Ben Simmons, Ray Allen, Jalen Brown, KG, Hassan Whiteside, Mike Conley, Tom Thibelo, as my coach.
Loki, if Isaac puts Josh Hart at the four, that's solid enough.
That's...
You're doing a bitch device?
Yes.
For the sake of defense?
That might compete with Donovan's team.
Do you have...
Or passing?
No.
More passing.
I can understand that.
Whiteside is the only lemon that I have.
I mean, and even then 17 Whiteside was...
I could win if you gave me a better curry.
You give me 13 curry.
You gave me the curry that wasn't on shit.
Oh, you're sleeping on 13 curry.
I mean, he's not 16.
I would need 16 to compete.
Yeah, he has 08 KG and I have 13 Curry.
You give me baby curry when his ankles hurt.
Now, 13 was good.
His ankles were healing.
Man, they still hurt a little bit.
You drop 54 in the garden.
Yeah, I mean, it's obviously good,
but I just need to come back and win when I have Beal Mellow Harris.
I'm going to need a little more firepower.
You want to make a trade?
Hell yeah.
Take Mello off my hands.
I give you Josh Giddy, say less.
Give me.
I'll take them.
I'll take them.
All right.
I need some distribution of talents.
Let's do it.
All right, that's the end of that segment.
Next thing we're going to do,
we are going to make the NBA role player hall of fame.
We are going to see a series of NBA role players
that played over the modern NBA since 2000,
and we're going to decide if they get to get placed
into our theoretical NBA role player hall of fame.
The player will decide if they're in
or if sorry dude,
you don't get to make the first ballots.
Okay.
So first name to consider in this Hall of Fan conversation,
Sergei Baca.
Sorry, bud.
He's not first ballot role player hall of fame.
Really?
He's not.
He's not.
I mean, he got the ring in 2019.
Wasn't like a tremendously important role player.
He mattered,
but he wasn't like one of the two or three most important role players.
I think a lot of times with the very, very important role players,
you go and you get rings with multiple teams.
Listen, man.
And he doesn't really have that.
But that was his fault.
That's not his fault at all.
That's just the guys ahead of me.
He's a role player at the end of it.
You don't get rings if you're a role player.
Take it up with Russell.
I'm sorry.
Help, you know.
Take it up a big mess.
I'm making it.
To me personally, in the skills that he provides,
which is like not being a lemon offensively
and being able to have a decent mid-range game,
spraying things out later in your career,
being a good three-point shooter.
Obviously, at the peak of its powers,
being one of the best shot blockers in the game
and a really important defender overall,
I think he's in.
He's not it.
Not first ballot.
Was he ever one of the best shot blockers
and a good three-point shirt at the same time?
No.
I think that's the issue.
I don't think it happened at the same time.
So for that reason, sorry, bud.
That reason.
I'm out.
You're out.
Very good role player, but yeah.
First ballot, sorry, bud.
Sorry, dude.
No, no, no, sorry.
Hell no.
No, sorry.
I just know.
Does fuck no, buddy?
Yeah.
unbelievably no.
Not even buddy.
Just fuck no.
Cantavius, Colwell Pope.
Two rings on two teams.
Low key.
Low key, he might be able
it to get in. What gets you in the Hall of Fame as a role player? How do we decide that?
I think you have to, as a role player, you have to do your job when you are called upon.
You have to have some moments as a role player. And I do think that just contributing and just being
around is a big part of being a role player. KCP be around. He does be around. Sure,
for excepting that. He's around. So I think that's, for that aspect. So from that aspect, I think
he makes it in. Now, the moments off the top of my head, I can't remember of like, oh, that's the
KCP game.
Yeah.
The KCP game.
No one's ever said that in their life.
Sorry,
but we're gonna be exclusive.
Maybe he's like a,
he's like a third ballot.
Yeah,
maybe eventually if we run out of names.
He's not.
Sorry,
but no.
Oh,
but two rings though.
It was nice.
You close your eyes right now.
I think about KCP moment.
I think about that big ass
monitor on his ankle.
That's all I think about.
Mind you.
Did he even,
is that fake?
I don't think you actually did that.
No, it's real.
No,
he didn't play with the monitor.
It's real
You got a 24
Not even 24
That was like 2018
Yeah
That was before that
That was you all with the Lakers
It was like 2018
Kendrick Perkins
Hell no
What?
He can't be in your end
No he has a ring
He's not first ball
He's got two rings
He didn't do anything
For the second one
So?
That doesn't take the jewelry
I was motherfucker
My finger
It's the same thing
With KCP
He'd be around
But close your eyes
What's the
Kendrick Perkins
First of all, don't disrespect KCP like that.
Casey did way more for the nuggets
to Kendrick Perkins did for the caps.
But he'd be around.
He does be around, so we'll give you that.
Sorry, bud.
Sorry, man.
You know, I am sorry to Kendrick Perkins.
Sorry, bud.
Listen, we're being stingy with this Hall of Fame.
It's the Hall of Fame.
Somebody has to do it.
If the real Hall of Fame won't be stingy, we will.
Yeah.
O. G. Anobie.
He's in.
Two rings as a role player.
First one, he wasn't there for the finals.
But he still mattered.
He still helped contribute to the team.
He was a pesky defender.
He was annoying.
And in 2026, he was like the most important role player of the decade.
I think he might have, he might have one of the,
he has one of the three best role player moments of all time.
The game winner in game four?
Three best.
Of the modern NBA for sure.
Three best I got to think about it, but it's up there.
It's like, it's like, OG's tipping.
Point four from Derek Fisher.
Robudori, big shot, Robitory.
Either either one of the, of the Robidori shots or Ray Allen in game six.
He got that three against the Southw two that pissed me up.
either way OG and Nobie is clearly
he's in the first ballot yep
hate this guy
you hate that guy
how can you hate OG
I actually don't
I like what a small guy
Derek White's
oh he's in there too
I think Derek White's first team
he's made it in first ballot
role player Hall of Fame
has the championship
has a spurs era before that
he's like he's so scalable
he grows into more roles
when needed
goes back in a small role when needed
that's what you want from role player
he's a fan favorite because he's bald
you get the community in
that helps OG
in there he's British he's bald we get a gimmick involved they're gonna be in the
whole thing yes W you bro next McHill Bridges two final strips two teams he was also I
think he was on pace to be especially early in his career I think he was especially
with the with the game streak he never misses a game something memorable about him I
think he's a he's a great teammate guy dances with everybody true he has turned up in
the playoffs over the last two years but the first
ballot just below hall of fame maybe just below i think it doesn't matter to be an integral part of
two championship teams i mean my bad two finals teams i think being able to say two final teams made it with me
being one of the five starters and i was like a good starter it was i wasn't just along for the ride do you think
the game street puts him over sure we love a gimmick oh my god you think he puts them over
yeah i'm not even joking when i say this you need a gimmick to be to be memorable role player no
i i fully agree iron man is his gimmick put him in you're in okay he's in who is oh tony allen
The fuck?
I thought it was the
That's Tony Allen.
Yeah.
Oh,
this is a very dim picture.
Yeah,
there's Tony Allen.
Him in the Bulls jersey
makes me be like,
sorry, bud.
He just diminishes his value so much.
But he has the gimmick.
Obviously he's in.
Respect gimmick.
Yeah, exactly.
When I say gimmick,
I just mean like he's tough.
He's just,
he has that.
At the mud.
Out the mud.
A contributor to a championship.
Yes.
but I'm a lower scale though
I think the fact that
that he could not shoot at all
and still made it onto the floor
and still was a legitimate contributor
It's a strong gimmick
It's a very very high case into
There's nobody in the world
That's better than me at what I do
I think it's also important to clarify
What contributor to a championship team is
He was a contributor
But that's different
Than a 30 minute per game
Starting role player
You know
So the 08 thing doesn't move me
But I do think the gimmick enough
Could be in
If you guys want to go that route
He's also just amazing
But he's not fucking better
The Sergei Baca also?
What are we doing?
No, he's not.
You really like him.
What are we doing?
Maybe.
Yeah.
He's better than Sergei Baca.
Potentially.
Yeah.
I mean, no.
Probably not.
Come on now.
But it's, you're acting like
Sergio Baca in a superstar.
He's a two-way player compared to Tony Allen.
He's not better.
Yeah.
And the defense is a big man and defense is comparable.
Yeah, Serge is better.
You're right.
He'll lock you a right.
He'll lock you up too.
What do you mean?
No.
I mean, he's like a both of the other.
Dog's going to bug in a search.
No, you're not.
No, you're not, bro.
The man is not moving right now, bro.
It's probably sorry, but in reality, even though we think he's awesome.
Sorry, bud.
Okay, I voted.
Lamar Odom.
Nah.
Two rings.
He's an offensive-leaning role player, but he's an offensive-leaning role player, but he's still a role player.
They've got two rings as a starter.
I don't think he's a, he's a Hall of Fame.
He got to give me.
I don't know if we could say it, but.
You got to give me.
Yeah, that's true.
Move it over.
You're in.
Move it over.
This is becoming a gimmick, Taylorlid.
That's a great point.
It's a great point.
Speaking of gimmick, Lou Will.
Oh, he.
Yes.
Two grow.
And they get along.
Like a moon.
Yes.
Hell yeah.
Two of them.
And they get along.
He's damned with Magic City.
That's tough.
Is he?
Two of them.
That's tough.
Two of them.
And they get along.
How many six men of the years did you win?
Like two or three?
I don't care.
They get along.
They get along, bro.
They get along.
The awards get along.
They get along.
Tough, okay.
He's one of defining six men of his era.
Legitimately great offensive player off the bench by the end of those Clippers years.
Like, he had some years.
Like, he was legitimately a great player.
Yeah.
Him and Pat Bev just giving random teams fits for no reason.
He was annoying.
And I feel like he's like, Mr. Six Man.
He got a Drake bar, man.
Stop it.
Stop, stop, stop, stop.
The basis for his argument cannot just be, yeah,
Drake has this song about him.
Well, no, it's not Drake is a song about him.
It's the context in which Drake rapped about him.
Because once again, I say two of them and they get along.
And he's stamping Magic City.
Yeah.
I think he's.
He got wings named after him, bro.
That's tough.
Like, no other player in the league has that.
Put him in a minute.
He probably get along.
It's crazy.
Kyle Gover.
No gimmick.
Complete opposite of gimmick.
Sorry, bud.
He's really good, but yeah, man.
He's good.
No, he's really good.
He's really good.
Andre Igu Doudala.
He's first of the question.
Do we eliminate star players who are stars and get washed?
Then they're good role players?
Do you have to be a true blood role player where you're never a star?
His star was such like, it was short, wasn't it?
He had a one all star, which is.
Okay, so he didn't sniff enough stardom that he can still count.
Yeah.
The Niggi, you are your in instantly.
The clearest lock.
Josh Hartz.
He has the chip.
How far can one ship get you?
If we're talking about gimmicks,
Josh Hart flying in from the top bro.
Are they good gimmicks, though?
His gimmick is that he's so bad at something
and it never matters because he makes big plays.
He's also, he has the gimmick of friendship.
He does have a friendship gimmick.
Nevertheless, sorry, bud, I think he's bloodline.
We can't get every Nick in there.
Why not?
Why not?
Legitimately, why not?
Because, because, especially,
especially before last year, the argument around this team, and even coming into this year.
Say there a team of role players.
That's what everybody said.
They said that they're just a team of just very good players.
Before a cat, for sure, sure.
I think considering the fact sometimes it's smart to close games with sham it, who is to sham it,
I think we go sorry, but.
Yeah, I think he's been sorry, bud.
But close, the friendship gimmick does give him an argument.
Come on.
I love the friendship gimmick.
Come on.
I'm sorry, but I can't play too much.
I can't have him.
Why, they got two rings in one year?
Fairs.
Two rings in one year.
You're just saying words.
What does that mean?
I'm not lying.
You don't respect to Emirates NBA Cup?
Oh, the NBA Cup.
I forgot about that.
He just jump his ass.
He'd teach him some respects.
That is the gimmick of gimmicks.
The NBA Cup.
Two ring gimmick is good.
Come on.
Two ring gimmick.
How many gimmicks does he need?
Two ring gimmick.
Friendship gimmick.
Can't shoot gimmick.
Rebinder.
Tidy gimmick.
Come on.
Oh, yeah.
Small rebinder gimmick.
He's three gimmicks deep.
Holy shit.
Bond to him in.
He's one of the best.
Come on.
man.
He makes it.
Aaron Gordon.
Oh, yeah, you're in.
Just by being amazing.
Like, just being an incredible role player.
Everyone wants Aaron.
Pure skill.
Yes, everybody wants an airplane.
I look if I were disrespecting Serge, man.
But you love Serge.
Bro, Serge.
Yeah, I love Serge.
But he made three all defensive first teams.
That's something nobody on this list can say.
Nobody.
He left the league in blocks.
Twice.
But you love
But you love search.
Three first team all defenses.
He didn't have the gimmicks with.
Bro, he made Kauilandri eat Bulls balls on TV.
He fried balls.
Let's take Josh Hart out.
Let's not go away.
Let's take that out.
Come on now.
Let's keep some integrity.
Stop.
Stop.
Stop.
No.
No.
No.
You got to keep Josh.
No.
You got who we do.
We got to have integrity.
This is a serious list.
This is a serious list.
This is a serious.
list. First of all, his friendship
gimmick is part of the reason why
McKell's even here. And good for
him. He laid the foundation for McHale's Hall of Fame.
No, his
gimmick is the foundation for a championship.
That friendship gimmick carries
so hard. Josh has
to be here. He can't be alone? No.
Why not? He literally can't.
You can't leave one supervised? Bad stuff happens?
You can't. I just think about.
You want to take him out? I want to take him out.
Oh, I see what's going
I see the play
Alex Caruso
Y'all gonna put him in huh
Hell yeah
Oh absolutely
Yeah absolutely
10 million
Alex Gros
Easily in
A core part of the defense
Of two championship teams
That were championship teams
Because they're defense
Yeah
Elevated as a role player
Later in his career too
This became Clay Thompson from three
Yeah
Randomly shoot the ball
What the fuck is wrong with you right
He's not he's not normal
And you know what
He's white and bald, but he's also athletic.
He jumps high and he's strong.
You don't see that very often.
Yeah.
Talk about gimmicks.
White man that jumps high.
That's the white athleticism is just the gimmick.
Yeah.
Plus the headband, go to the headband celebration too.
It's tough as far.
White boy would bounce is definitely a gimmick.
He has his own type of swag.
J.
J. Smy Smith.
No.
What?
I don't think he's in.
Gimick man?
He's not it?
I think he is gimmick man.
What?
First of all, he is not gimmick man.
He's not, he's not, he's not, he's not gimmick man.
It's not a gimmick.
But I do think that the deciding.
That's just who he is?
I think that the deciding,
the defining moment of J.R. Smith's career
is messing up.
And that's a very tough thing to overcome.
And it is a microcosmo of who he is a player.
Sorry, but.
No, he's givic, man.
He's not for a valid.
What do you mean to tell me?
You're a better contested three-point shooter than you are wide open.
Makes no sense, bro.
That's a good gimmick.
Like, you're ridiculous.
He's not for his bad.
He makes an only issue so far.
It's sorry, bud.
that's crazy oh yeah we're being stingy now
oh cause Josh Hart
Danny Green
it's funny funny to say but unfortunately he's you're in
Is he
Three rings on three teams
He's actually first ballot
His first ballot is shit
We might name the fucking hall after him
He is 3 and D man you're right
He is like the 3 and D player of all time
Like no one ever like makes that definition
Better than him
Three rings on three teams in your prime
It's crazy
Yeah
Javelle McGee
Sorry buddy
two rings on two teams though
love you man
he helped lebrons legacy and stuff crazy's legacy
who else can say that
graham green
it could have done it without Steph
maybe or without double entendre
whatever let you figure that one out
uh javan would you sorry bud
sorry bud okay
sorry but
Shane badier
I think Shane badier
I think Shane can get there
I don't think he's first ballot though
Was he bald like
late career
No
he's a
rocking that point five
I just can tell the difference
was that going to be a defining gimmick to get him over the line
I was wanting to argue for it
that shit is the clipper open guard man
is he in is he first ballot he's good enough to be in
has a Miami ring he's two
he was there for two Miami rings and he was like a really good
real player before that for teams I worked championship cal there was
the shame bad at game as well him and Mike Miller were going crazy
he's good enough I don't see why not
if McCale's there he can be there
surge is outside the club just came
Can't get it. Oh my God. Three first team all defense. Bro, that's crazy. If I hear one more thing about sir, that's crazy. I'm gonna lose it. Doesn't Tony Allen also have three first teams? No. He doesn't? Let me fact check that. I just lied. I just said it off. I was never first team. He was first team, but I don't think he has as much of the search though. He has three. Three first and two in three seconds. Yeah. Now what? He does have three. Hey, he would have four. He would have four.
But he got hurt one of those years.
Now what?
Did he ever come second in DPOI?
No, he came fourth.
So I'm saying different convos, man.
Shut up.
He was the third.
He was on the ballot.
He was top 10 and five times.
That counts for something.
Sure.
I say we put Badi A.
Al Horford.
Was Al Horford too good at his prime to count for this list?
Even though he had a lot of years been a good role player.
Bro, he has like five All-Stars to his name or some crazy like that.
But he was washed, though.
He was watched for a long time.
But the problem is, do you get disqualify?
when you have multiple time all stars.
I think if you're viewed an all star that many times.
This is our Hall of Fame.
We can say no superstars, leave some room for the little guys.
His career as just role player is Hall of Fame worthy.
But that's the point.
The point is, is our criteria save room for the little guys and washed up stars can't get in?
Of course they're going to be good role players.
They're washed up stars.
I feel like just as a role player, it would be like, what, 23, 24, 25?
That's it?
You think that he wasn't a role player for 23?
Yeah.
It was like a legitimate, like, started for him.
So war players are starters
OG's a role player
He's a starter
I guess
In fact they're all starters
For real
If you want to put him in role player
I'm fine with that
I think we can say
Multiple Time All-Stars
At that point you're farming
Trying to make the role player
By being a star
And then having a role player
Why he had two careers
Every NBA star can do that
Actually not every
Sometimes they fall off
But like a lot of them
Can do that
And be technically a role player for a while
Paul George is I guess
I'm technically a role player now
Is he gonna make it
To the role player hall of fame
He might not make this
Maybe if he was on 24
Celtic
he would have wanted to like he could have.
Al Horford and one, his archetype and the fact that he can knock down threes,
that he is old as hell, can still defend.
I think that as in just this five-year period, I think that that is enough to classify him as a role player
and to put him into the Hall of Fame.
We don't disagree with the premise.
It's just like should be disqualified.
I don't think he should be disqualified.
Yeah, I think I think you'd be in.
Okay, there you go.
Then you're in.
Let's go.
Michael Porter Jr.
Sorry, man.
There's not even a Hall of Fame, bro.
There's only one more spot-lap, bro.
There might be like a podcast or Hall of Fame for him pretty soon.
Yeah.
Is he going to make that?
He's deadly on the mic.
Deadly on the mic.
He has a niche that no other NBA players want to occupy the podcasting game.
That's how you take over.
We're not going to occupy it.
That's how you take over.
You find a market, you find space within the market.
You take that over.
Now what market did he see?
No jumper.
Next up, Robert Dori.
Damn.
This is role player man here as well.
First of all.
He looks so much like you.
Holy shit.
Every time I glanced out.
It fucks you up every time.
This is first ballot hands down.
Easily.
Yeah.
There's no conversation.
No conversation.
You're in.
Jamal Crawford.
Yo, same bad.
Yeah, you got to get out of here, man.
Oh, we're.
This is role player, man.
This is Jamal Crawford.
We can put them both in.
Can we?
Oh, there's no space?
Yeah, we do as much you want.
Oh, okay.
stretch.
Okay, cool.
Jamal Crawford makes it, first ballot?
Yeah.
100%.
Mr. Sixman?
Yeah, for sure.
And like the aura he has,
like the aura of being so unguarable
and the crazy handles, he's in.
Yep.
J.J. Reddick.
I think he's in.
Yeah.
He's in.
Probably not.
Hall of Famer?
Yes.
He's a good one player for a long time,
but probably not quite a lot of him.
He's one of the best shooters
of this last generation.
What does that mean?
Yeah, everybody's like,
what do you mean?
He's not one.
When the clippers were choking.
Wait, what?
I just said so was caught.
True.
Oh, oh, I think you said out for for ford.
Sorry.
I thought you were doing self-de-lis.
Relax.
Damn.
I thought you did so do,
please.
When the Plymouth,
we're choking.
Giving up that 3-1 leave,
where was J.J.
Redick?
He would ask you,
where was Doc Rivers?
I would say both you can fuck off.
Yeah, I'm going to say no.
Damn.
Not quite.
You say he's one of the best shooters of his era.
Is he a top five shooter of his era?
Probably not.
The era is tough,
obviously.
Yeah, that's a point.
But I would say like 2012,
2012, 2013.
2011 yeah he was he loves 2012
2012
sorry bud
PJ Tucker
step clay
right man we know he's on top five
you said Ray instantly
he's not he's not making it
PJ Tucker
he's right on the line
dude he's Mr. Gimmick man
all you do is be big
he's right on the line he's really good
and was very particular type of player
yeah got the ring in 2021
He has the shoe gimmick
The shoe gimmick
The Rocket Series he didn't get his ring
But he was an important part
To a Western Conference Finals team
He was playing center
Bro him and Robert Covington
Holden down
That's fucking ridiculous
Put him in there
You're in buddy
Go ahead
That's it
And that's the last one
Okay
There we go
We got 12
14 names
Made the whole fan
Yo we're ridiculous
No we're not
Yes you are
No we're not
Yes you are
We're good
Josh Scott Jarris Smith
He'll be fine
He'll have a blast
They will have a good time.
They'll have a good time.
Yeah.
And that's the other two.
Yeah, he's chilling.
I never doubted that they had a good time.
But Marcus Smart was snubbed.
Just saying.
You just want to seem sorry, budges?
Is he in there?
Nah, he's best role player without a ring.
He's a DPOI, man.
Stop that.
Best role player without a ring.
Without a ring.
Best role player without a ring.
I'm going to say no.
I don't even think about it.
Yeah.
He's better than...
He just didn't think about it.
Yeah.
He's better than the Lou?
okay
second best
no
he's better than
than Jamal
yeah yeah
as a role player
yeah as a player yeah
peak for peek
sure
yeah
yeah he might be better
he might be better than Lou
I don't know
definitely
he don't care
I just mean it's a tough
tough conversation
how do you talk about
Lou for real
okay
as a bucket
that's whatever
next thing we're gonna do
we're gonna play
we're gonna put it
I don't want to hear this
we're gonna play
the five level game
with an old player in today's game.
But this time we're doing an old duo in today's game.
Imagine how they would fit in the league.
Five level game in 2026 with Kobe Bryant and Powell Gassall.
Okay.
That duo versus today's duos.
Level one, Kobe and Powell versus Julius Randall and Michael Porter, Jr.
You got that you're going to load up that.
Fuck, no.
Hell no.
Internally, he did.
It came out of his eyes.
Absolutely not.
They're not better.
Kobe and Pau Cleave.
Kobe and Powell clear.
What would have to happen for them not to clear?
Oh.
Some like mystical shit has to happen, bro.
Powell has to like get two left feet.
Can't physically run up the court and straight line?
Something like that.
Yeah.
Fry all of Kobe's brain cells.
Get them on.
Get them on chattel waves.
Yeah.
It's the only way.
Even if you had two left feet, I think you can run straight.
Okay.
I think you could.
You think so?
You'd waddle straight.
You could run, I think.
You'd be like, your gate would be uneven.
Why?
Yeah, hips aren't messed up.
Okay.
Level two.
You're not trying to think for real.
Okay.
Level two, Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren.
Man, get him out of here, bro.
No, Power's all given Dern the Blues.
Oh, my God.
Sorry, Dern.
He'd make sure Jay and Dern is not getting paid this summer.
For sure.
Maybe see me in two years.
years during you figure some shit out your story's not written today pal's killing
pal's putting him in a torture chamber it's not close he might have to pay this in when you
got to see him pow level three lebron and jalen brown in 2026 so old man lebron uh haven't
seen i'm not doing it is paucos old man brown prime pal yeah yeah maybe not oh prime pow
probably yeah yeah yeah yeah i think so yeah then especially coming in the next year
LeBron's going to be a year older, 27, LeBron?
Jalen Brown and Kobe, just hand-checking each other.
Yeah, no.
I don't know, Jim, my hand-checking once and get hit.
Yeah.
He's getting an elbow to the center.
For sure, he's not going to like it.
He'll complain on the switch stream.
Though the rest are allowing his physicality.
It's like they don't see it.
Next up, level four.
Luca Donchitz and Austin Reeves.
Oh, my God.
Lakers versus Lakers.
We're taking Kobe and Powell.
There's no defense being played by Luke and AR, man.
It's Kobe Power for sure.
And this, it's very reductive, but like, shout out to all the points that they score.
Then I, yeah, I think that the defense does make a very, very big difference.
Yeah.
So I'm taking Kobe and Power.
Yeah.
It's also, it's not like Powell's a lockdown defender.
It's not like Kobe and fucking Embed.
Yeah, but then it's Luke and AR and it's like, oh, they're super not locked down defenders.
They got Kessler to help out.
They're not talking about.
Duos.
They're not playing two on two.
It's a 5-5 game.
We're not talking about Kessler's.
It's duos, man.
In any situation or something.
setting in the league.
I'm taking Kobe and pal.
We're talking about duels
and you're trying to bring in a third.
Yeah.
To get them even.
I mean,
they're playing real basketball.
I don't know.
No,
man.
We're talking like
we're asking Rees to go guard pals.
No.
Okay.
Level five.
Shea,
Gildes Alexander and J-dub.
See, you made the right call.
You put Chet on here?
Oh, yeah, they got him.
Oh, yeah.
Pows fucking him up.
Killing him.
Pows, a lot to deal with us for a J-Dub, too.
He's not going to defend him.
It's not to me too.
Well, Loki.
He might have to.
We got big Isaiah for that.
See, everybody wants to guard except for Chey.
You got seven footers, got somebody else seven foot.
Nobody wants to guard.
Okay.
But I think Shay and J-Dove, I think, is a very interesting matchup.
And I think that their two-way ability from both sides is very, very important.
And the versatility of J-Dub's defense, I think.
then gets him. So I would go Shea and Jadab. Is he a better player than Paukasol?
That's the real conversation to me because she and Kobe, damn their neck and he just keeps getting hurt.
And so it's like hard to, it's hard to think about him, especially right now. But I think when he's healthy,
Jadab is very, very good. But also like, there's times where he could look very bad too. And like when
the shot is not fun. It's just like clutzy decisions. That's mostly when he's not healthy is what
he's saying. All over the place. Even when he's healthy, like some of that stuff is still there.
Sure, it's happened before. But at least in the playoffs, since really came up, it's usually been a health issue.
except that first year when they lost
the Mabs when he did he shit himself
scared the hell out of me
yeah
why he gets scared and run away like that
I didn't see about
at all
you guys his back up my
he lynced the little
is like yo
is that an nick
you voice at a cat
yes bro what's going on
and you made the cut
runaway too
it wasn't doing nothing
so where we're going
I'm saying Shane J-Dob
I feel like I gotta go
Kobe and Powell
I think I'm going Kobe and Power
I think we have to go Kobe and Powell.
I know they might be the best.
They probably be the best duo in today's league.
There's no insane duo right now.
Word.
TBD.
They're not as free one.
So that's fair to say.
Who definitively is better?
Depending on how you feel about him, Wemby Castle.
Castle is on the level of Pals.
Super unproven.
You're talking about some Yolkish and Murray.
Don't talk me about Murray right now.
No, but just the the dominance of Wemby being able to carry some of that weight.
It's Kobe.
yeah i think it's so cobi and pa if they were in the week today they'll be the best duo
there's no all-time duos right now you talk about this already yeah i's talking about this already
coby and power win level five best duo in 2026 next thing we are going to do today
i think last thing we're going to do today actually actually know we have two things to do
i forgot one to do this we're going to come back we still's got on camera okay
we're going to try to do it again what we're all going to try to save the same NBA name man
Oh my God.
We're saying the same NBA name.
Yep.
Oof.
It's always been a disaster.
Why are you panicking?
You're straight.
He does it going to sell?
Because he always freezes.
Yeah.
I'm freeze, man.
Ice man.
One way to say.
All right, man.
Jesus.
Okay.
What are we going to do with you?
So, we're all going to say a name.
I'll examine each other names, think about it,
and try to say another name.
And so we can all say the same.
Name one.
Ready.
Yep.
Three, two, one.
Tommy,
Jimmy Butler.
Said Tyler Hero.
Lou Will.
You said Marcusol?
I said Palgasol.
Jimmy Butler.
Mm.
Okay.
There's a commonality between three of our names.
I don't see shit among any of our names.
Not going to lie to you.
Three, two, one.
Bam.
La Brom.
Damn, I even say none.
I just knew where all can be y'all.
I'm just like,
let me see where you all.
I don't do that every time.
I said, bam.
I said Marcusol.
Said LeBron.
So bam,
Marcusol.
Markisal.
And LeBron.
Oh, there's an easy one.
There's an easy one.
If you're all channeling what I'm channeling.
Is there?
I don't know.
If we connect, we all spiritually link hands.
There's an easy one.
This guy's delusional.
I'm seeing the spirits in the air.
Three, two, one.
Dwight Davis.
Ooh.
Okay.
Who you said?
Janice.
I was thinking Yonis for a second.
Yonis.
Yonis, Anthony Davis, Dwight.
KG.
KG.
Okay.
Now there's a real easy one.
Yeah, yeah.
Fuck.
I don't know if we're all together.
Come on, bring up those
mythical powers again.
Anthony Davis, Janus, KG.
There's two of them I feel
could be easy ones.
Nope.
Go, go with you good.
Three, two, one.
Tim Duncan.
I said,
Bam, bro.
What the fuck?
What the hell we said,
damn?
Biggs, what are you talking about?
We were thinking about
all time, two-way bang.
All-time 83?
Yes, he's two-way two.
What do you mean?
Stop talking.
Who did you say?
What?
Tim Duncan.
I said Tim as well.
Oh my God, bro.
So two Tim's, Yokich and
Bam. Okay, there's an easy one. There's one more.
Okay. There's an easy one. Okay.
I know you're going to fuck it up again.
What you got you two?
We said two. He said yokech.
You said bam.
But here's here's one.
All right.
Here's one. Three, a two. A one.
Shacks. You said who? I said dirt.
I thought you said dur and I was about to kill you.
I was about to kill you for I swear.
I said Yannis. I said Jack.
Again. Wait. Can we go again or no?
I guess, but like don't go right back. None of us here think that.
Where'd you go?
I said Shaq
You're trying like fake
I was like this
He said nothing
He didn't everything to stop it twice
I was Shaq
Yannas
I said Dirk
Dirk
Okay
What'd you say
Who the fuck did I say
I think I was in
Who'd you say again?
I forgot already
I said Shaq
I said Shaq
I said Jack too
Shack too
Shack Dirk
Yannis
Well I don't want to go back
to Yokers that fast
that's cheating.
We can't go back.
Yeah, we got to space it out
for her to go back to the name.
Shack, Dirk, Janice.
Shack.
There is one.
Yep, I got it.
Okay.
I think I got it.
But I've said that
and none of us have had it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Three, two, one.
Charles Berkeley.
None of us had it.
I said David Robinson.
You made all power forward.
What did he make sense?
Why I ain't said Hakeem.
Could have said Hakeem.
That was solid.
That was solid.
Hakeem didn't even cross my fucking mind.
What?
It didn't even cross my fucking mind.
Barkley, Hakeem, Wembe.
Oh, my God, bro.
David Robinson.
Yeah.
There's a, there's a link in three out of four of them.
Maybe.
Akeem, David Robinson.
Wemby.
Come on, man.
Maybe.
I'm still going to northern Wemby shit.
Let's just take the layup.
I don't think we're going to take the layup, though.
I don't know.
Do we just take the?
I have no, I have no idea.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
So, man.
Markley, Hakeem, David Robinson.
Take the way.
Let me see it.
hasn't over there. Let me study your game type.
Okay, I'll try and take that.
3, 2, 1.
Jordan. Jack. I thought Jordan 2, but I thought you meant Shaq.
I tried to read your mind. I think you were going to Jordan.
There were 90s players.
You went Jordan? I went Kareem.
Kareem, Jordan, Shaq.
Hold on, hold on. We haven't taken this bait yet.
All roads lead back to 3, 2, 1.
Will Ron.
You motherfuckers.
We need the four greatest players ever besides LeBron, and we didn't want to say LeBron.
We're doing Biggs.
We were until you all named the Ghosts besides LeBron.
We all said Wilk outside of you.
Yeah.
I said, yeah, so why are you selling?
I'm saying, hey, you're so wrong with you.
Yeah.
You gotta blame my.
Here I am.
Here I am.
Fuck!
Wilts, LeBron.
If everybody else is crazy.
Yeah.
You don't want us to say.
It's tormented over there.
I also didn't know he said, Will.
When you just go muted.
All right, there's one more said Will's.
Is there one more?
Yes, we all said wilt.
You said LeBron.
Don't know what you were on.
I don't know what you're on.
But after Wilton, there's only one other guy.
We named all the other guys.
We had?
I think we burned all of them.
You don't know who you're talking about.
I don't think you guys named him.
I don't think we have.
You could have a deep cut.
No, no, no, no.
Walt Belknit.
Fuck, no.
All right.
Let's try it.
I'm going off Mo.
I'm trying to think what he's thinking.
I don't even know.
I don't know.
Don't worry about what he's doing here.
Fuck what he's on.
All right.
Don't fuck us again.
Will LeBron.
I don't know what path you are going down.
Just say a name.
Three, two one.
Mattisle.
Bill Russell.
Bill Russell.
What did you say?
I said Bill Russell.
Okay.
Well, we better get it now.
If y'all don't get it, it's done.
Two Bill Russell's two magics?
Bill Russell, Matt.
Okay.
Come on.
Three, two, one.
Larry Bird.
Yo, what did you say?
I said, Kareem, bro.
I'm going to hit it with a hammer.
Where is it?
There's a hammer over there.
There's a power drill right there.
You're out of here.
That hurts.
That hurts.
It hurts.
No, you're actually lacking IQ, man.
That's actually crazy.
That hurts, bro.
That's outlandish.
Oh, my God.
So we have three Larry Birds and one what?
That fucking hurts, bro.
Kareem.
He said Kareem.
I'm told in the towel.
Fuck this shit.
None, no, no.
Us three we went.
No, no, no, no.
Fuck that, fuck that, fuck that.
Same error.
Same man.
Fuck that, fuck that.
Try that.
I'm being in the winter.
Fuck that.
Fuck that.
You know, this dude's nasty.
He is.
He's the first time.
I can't believe.
I'm fucking out.
You got to throw the towel.
No, no, no, no.
I did this moment.
It's difficult easier at the last one.
But apparently, I don't know what they did.
Okay.
I'm letting you know right now.
I'm saying nonsense.
You're saying nonsense?
I'm saying nonsense.
I'm saying nonsense.
Why?
Why?
Because you don't have done.
No.
Have autism.
What do you mean we're done?
So we got three Larry Burr's and one Kareem.
Come on.
There's an easy one here.
How does that mean?
Three Larry birds.
Oh, three is an easy one.
Wait.
I didn't like you.
I don't know if we.
What the same.
Right.
It's such a same.
Whoa.
What hell?
What the hell?
What the hell?
Maybe it is that.
He just let your ass a straight.
He never saw an easy one.
No, I didn't, but your enthusiasm.
Too high.
So I don't know if he is that easy.
I don't.
There is an easy one, bro.
The lack of confidence that you just had in your own statement.
Okay, let's try.
Let's try.
There's an easy one.
Karina Abdul-Jabbar.
Larry Byrd.
I don't like how he slowed down how we said that too.
What is trying to get at?
Nothing, nothing.
I was just saying the names.
Kareem and Larry Bird.
Slow down.
Three, two, one.
Oh, no.
Isaiah Thomas.
Why you did three, two, one?
Jesus Christ.
The round is voided.
The road is voided.
I didn't hear what she said.
Okay.
I didn't hear you.
I didn't hear you, I promise.
Okay, okay.
Can you settle in?
Sorry.
Did you settle it for me?
I don't like this game anymore.
You got one more trial.
Oh, my fucking God, bro.
I do honestly think this is an easy one with Kareem and Larry Bird.
None of us ever have hit the logic I want to say it for real.
But I do think it's there.
I'm just going to say some shit now.
I'm with you.
There's an easy one.
There's an easy one.
All right.
Three, two, one.
I'm sorry.
Yep, easy.
None of it was on the same page.
Nice.
I thought I thought Jerry West for a second, but we've been using repeat, so I thought we were going back to Russell.
Jerry West, bro.
The white mixture plus the team mixture.
Kind of.
I can kind of see logic.
You said Isaiah Thomas.
I said Jerry West.
You said Bill Russell.
I thought we were sticking on the 80s.
The hell you said I'm on some other shit.
I said Embed.
It's over.
It's over.
We're hitting him with a hammer.
It's an MB.
What the fuck is that?
Oh, man.
I told you all this mother shit.
All right, man.
We lose.
Embed.
No, that's pain, man.
Indeed, indeed, indeed.
Well, the last time we're going to do today.
All of us are going to think of a player.
The other three have two minutes to guess that player.
We can pull up their basketball reference page.
Yeah.
Okay.
I'll go first.
Y'all, two minutes.
So I mean, I'm not going to pick a lot.
like an obviously easy player like I might if it was one minute two minutes you got some time
to figure something out and work together as a team yeah unlimited questions in two minutes
who am i going to pick i got my guy i got my guy i got my guy too okay i'll go first
be soles hit that timer you all two minutes against my player go go go okay cool is this player white
the player is white what a snipe oh my goodness does he have a ring no not a ring is this player
is this player a center not a center is he's he
foreign? No, not a foreign guy.
Is he a Uder? I would say
so. Is he a current player? He is a current player.
Just Austin Reves. Not Austin Reeves.
Nope, nope, no, you're aiming. Is it a Cooper Flag?
It's not Cooper Flag.
Kind of Uter.
Current. Current white player? Is he a guard?
Yeah. Does he have a
popular brand deal, like
shoe deal? Brand deal, specifically.
Shudio? I don't think so. Is he in the East?
Yes, he's in the Eastern Conference. Is it Concanipal?
It's not Concanipal. I'm not Bill
Simmons. Okay, does he have a nasty handle? Like good handle. He can dribble. I don't know if it's
nasty per se, but he can dribble. Does he get fits off? I don't know, probably not. He doesn't
look to me like he would, but also he probably dabbles in some types of fits that maybe you shouldn't.
Can he rent a car? Can he rent? Is he over 25? Yeah. Yes. Is he married? I don't know.
No, actually, no. I know for a fact. He's fucking not. Oh, so you know for a fact. I know for a fact. He's
fucking not for recent events.
Does his team make the playoffs last year?
Yeah, I think so.
I'm blinking.
On that line.
On that line, okay.
So he was drafted this decade.
Yes, of course he was.
Oh.
Would you say he got swag at a certain point in his life?
I wouldn't.
He probably would say he does.
Tyler Hero.
Yes, Tyler.
I knew it.
Yep.
Yep.
It's Tyler Hero.
He has the headlines.
Girls are trying to go to Milwaukee.
They just broke up.
Oh, were.
Tough.
They just broke up.
Damn.
Poor enough a toddler hero, newly single man.
Not pouring anything out.
Okay.
Don't push it out.
You guys got it with 24 seconds of spare.
Tough.
Okay.
Do you want to go next or do you want to go?
I'll go next.
I got my player.
Okay.
Two minutes.
You ready?
Nope.
Starts.
Now, does this player have a father in the NBA?
No.
Okay.
Has this player won MVP before?

Is it a starter not in the league anymore?
Is it not in the league?
Is it Kentier Perkins?
No.
Did he retire within the last 10 years?
No.
Is he known for dunking?
Yes.
Eastern Conference starter retired over 10 years ago, never played in the East, never played
in the West, not known for dunking.
I lied, he played in the West.
Okay, I figured he played in the West at some point.
Did he play in the 90s?
Yes.
He said he's known for Dunkin.

No, he played in the West.
Mostly in the East.
Mostly in the East.
Are you playing the 80s?
Yes.
Is he a Hall of Famer?
Yes.
This is Dr. Jay?
No.
Oh, I was going to say I had to be Dr. Jay.
It's not.
Oh, shit.
Not an MVP.
Is he an All-Star?
Yes.
Dunk Man, 80s and 90s player,
played in the East primarily.
Come on.
D. Brown?
Is he a shooting guard?
No.
Small Ford?
Yes.
Small Ford.

I was like, who's next?
Yeah.

The end of his career.
He's played for the spurs.
He played for the spurs and the clippers.

Was this player good in 2012?
No.
He's known for the 2000 shooter.
Is he a good defender?
Yeah.
Was he on a championship team?
No.
He's on bad teams.
Good defender, a 3-and-D player at the least.
Is he also a good ball handler?
Yes.
Was he a point guard?
No.
The shooting guard, well,
rounded players.
Wow.
Two dollars.
He never sniffed a team.
Is this Gilbert Arenas?
No.
Okay.
You might have been on a championship team, but like, not important.
Did this player ever average 30?
Yes.

I think it was like 1.8.
Oh, okay.
Even then, so react.
Wow, that's amazing.
I would guess you had like 1.5.
Okay, you ready?
They sleep on that 1.5 and 1.8 jump.
It is a lot.
It is hard.
It's tough.
To do two more off when you do one, not easy.
Yeah.
Wow, that's crazy.
We had 1.9.
Exending shit.
Oh, shit.
Third year in Toronto.
