before even Joe Dumars became the president of this team, I looked at them as a team that always could have like a sneaky move up their shoulder, up their sleeve because I knew like, yo, like AD trade happened not that long ago, six years ago now. they traded away a Jew holiday again six years ago now and they should have like remaining picks and all and I went ahead and did my research and I've seen what David Griffin cultivated through all these assets that he was given and the list of those guys, Tray Murphy came from that trade. Herb Jones did Dejante Murray did through liquidation of assets. He's Missy, Jordan

Poole, Sidique Bay, Derrick Queen, and Micah Pet PV. That's the assets that they got from trading a generational star in Anthony Edwards or Anthony Davis and Drew Holiday. And they squatted it. Two smithereens and this is what Joe Dumars was left to do. They asked him, David Griffin dug them six feet in. And then Joe Dumas said, how about another 12 feet? That's where they're at that they're living in right now. Yeah, this is tough.

So we can talk about on the court, right? The offense is terrible. The offense lacks structure. The line of stuff throwing out there. The lack of spacing around Zion Williamson. the lack of, like I said, offensive structure, to put it simply, feels terrible. They bench Jordan Poole started fears. We can debate the merits of that.

Jordan Poole didn't seem to respond well to that. There was some comments made that, you know, some body language observed that made it seem like he wasn't too happy about that, which I can understand. He's a veteran. Five games since the year you start the rookie over me when the spacing that Jordan Poole provides is pretty essential to the long-term outlook of this team. I won't say it's indefensible because fears have been playing fantastic. Yeah. Questionable decision, though, this early in the way. the season, everything else around that hasn't gone well.

They can't defend me and you running a pick and roll. That side of the ball is non-existent with the lack of bigs they have, with Zion's defense, with Trey Murphy's defense. Everybody has been playing poorly. So on the court, they're just a bad team. Off the court, the Pelicans are an embarrassment of a franchise. This is the cheapest organization in the league. They make Sacramento look like Mr. Bands.

Like they're just thonged out being supportive of the team in every way. This team is barely a team. This is not a team that is out here spending lots of money as a small market. We've known that about the business forever.

And then we got this tweet. They're trying to get invited to TikTok meet. Yo, they're so cheap. We got this comment from a, I think, a Pelicans writer on Twitter, Shammat Dua. I'm sure I said that horribly wrong. Sorry. He said, Dumars was instructed by ownership to cut costs

because Griffin asked too much of them. A lot of what you're seeing is a result of cutting corner. Also, promotional stuff requires sponsors which appellatees are struggling to retain all this flows back to money. Yo, they can't even pay. I've never seen this before, dead ass. I'm so sorry.

This is, this is some of the brokest behavior we've seen in NBA history. They can't even pay minimum wage to folks over here. You can't pay no way to pay someone to sponsor the jerseys. A promotional calendar is honestly ridiculous. Not having a minimum.

a hashtag is little league baseball teams have hashtags like the the team moms go out and they get oranges and they make a hashtag like and the two people on their facebook pages will click it and all the pictures go there the fact that they can't have that done like if you don't get zion's mom or like or jeremiah fear go get somebody's mother to go make a hashtag please that's that's that's one two the level of cheapness that they're at i've also seen several people are like hey is this an inside job from the NBA because now that like because remember a couple years ago 10 for a hat now very like this is three levels of 10 for a hat that I saw where people were saying a couple years ago the NBA was very very high and very vocal on the fact that they

were going to expand to Vegas and Seattle that seems kind of dead now are we are we trying to make the pelicans so bad that we're going to sell them and then that person is going to take them to Seattle that that that level of conspiracy that level of cheapness is where we're at right now with the ones. There in the chat talking about Free Zion. Yeah, I mean, so this happens a lot in sports. Maybe it is a lot. Who knows?

This happens a lot in baseball where some teams are very cheap and they just try to sell tickets and exist because they know they can't compete with the heavy hitters that can spend money with the lack of salary cap. Happens a lot there. Happens the NFL.

The Bengals are talked about a lot for being broke or everybody, not having the cash on hand to compete, barely getting to the form minimum. They did that to themselves, though. Sure, but they just have a broke owner, so they can't operate quite as similarly to the Eagles or to the Rams or whatever, right? This doesn't happen a lot in the NBA. The NBA teams are profitable as hell. They play 41 home games a year, 41 games of gate revenue, your local TV deal, your split of the national TV deal, your merchandising. The volume of NBA games makes these teams highly profitable and really hard to behave like this.

You got to be broke, you got to choose to be broke, and you got to have no desire to do anything differently. This is negligence by choice. what's going on man like do they not have any other like creative funnels to go ahead and diversify their income are they just like booming out of nowhere when it comes to how they make their money outside of basketball does young boy perform their like every other month is that how you are just continuously like booked out your venue like what's on

correctly they're owned by gail benson who I think her husband is the one who owns the team for long time and he died a few years ago and she's the majority owner now and I think she's really old doesn't care and they don't have like the structure of leadership that some other teams have like the high effort. You know some people I think like Bill Simmons popularized it the whole idea of like ownership being the biggest advantage and people need to realize the owners are like a huge impact

and how the teams operate. This is a definition of that. They need a new owner real bad. Right now, according to Forbes, the Pelicans are the 29th most valuable team. The only team less valuable than the Pelas is the Grizzlies. That's hilarious. Yeah, that's remained consistent.

This is insane.

This is like somebody's niece did this. They didn't even like go through the AI route and have chat GPT write this up. They can't even afford chat GPT premium. They can't afford the $20 a month free. I promise you, if you went down to whichever, whichever college is in New Orleans. There's a dude who's trying to start a clothing brand who can make better mock assistance.
