NBA training camps start in about three weeks.
The NFL season starts in about two days.
We're here on a Monday.
You know what all this means?
What does it mean?
The offseason is just about finished.
We are almost here into the 2026, 2027 season.
And like I said, we are back for our first Monday episode after our offseason hiatus.
How are you all feeling having to work on Labor Day because you have a weird job?
I feel good.
Came here?
No traffic.
It was a smooth 20 minutes.
I couldn't wait to sit down to eat more crayons, bro.
For breakfast?
What color did you have this morning?
Purple.
Why would you assume purple?
That's your favorite color.
Are you sure?
You love purple.
I've grown now.
I'm a maroon type guy now.
Is that a point of maturation for you?
You're off that purple shit?
Yeah, for now.
For now.
Okay, so maybe there's something known back there.
We'll get into that later.
He's barely off of it, though.
Who's pretty adjacent?
Still in the family.
You can still relapse.
Relapse on the purple.
Yeah, like we said, we're here.
Back from Monday episode.
We took seven weeks off.
We're not quite into the point of the season
where we're going to do previews
for this coming season.
That'll start in about two weeks or so.
So we've got some time to kill.
So as you see by today's title,
we're looking back.
We're going to think about
how our thoughts about this off-season
have evolved over the course of summer.
We're going to put every important,
I should say, not every single one
because a lot of things happen this off-season.
But every important NBA roster
upgrade into a tier list. On that tier list, we have a variety of tiers based on how much
better we think this move to upgrade a certain position makes a certain team. So it'll be kind of
like how this roster upgrade brings them closer to a championship or to whatever their goal is.
Sounds okay. Tray Lows, what are you prepared to do about it? See, there's no Tray Lowe's.
What is your impact on this list? But before that, as you guys know, if you are a viewer that's
been watching the show for longer than seven weeks, we're going to do the news of the week as we do
every Monday before we get into the main topic.
Not a whole lot of news right now, but we've got something
to work with. We'll get you everything you need
to know about the off season in the depths of it.
Let's pop, man.
Let's move. Check out house call.
Like I said, NFL season starts in two days.
Watch our NFL show. We'll be kicking off coverage
every single week, every Tuesday.
Check out our merch. Every single collection we've ever dropped.
It's still available as it's been all summer on our merch link in the description.
Yeah, man. Cued intro music.
We're throwing it back.
That's crazy.
He was bragging.
I hope you did say.
The cranium is crazy.
Oh my God.
Crown eaters rejoice.
Be Souls, what is our first new story of the week to start this Monday episode?
First new story.
I meant Thompson got paid, man.
Yeah.
Big bag dropping across a league.
Money spread, money, spend, money spread.
Yeah.
Five year.
to await million dollar extension with the Rockets.
What is that per year?
I don't know.
All I know is is W2.
With benefits and all.
Wow.
A little bit over $40 million a year for Men Thompson.
Naturally, when this happened on Twitter,
it wasn't enough to talk about that week.
So we got lots of extreme reactions on both sides
for what I think is a very normal, middle of the fact,
nice value deal, right?
Yeah.
This is somebody that's clearly going to be a part of their franchise moving forward.
And this offseason, if he was going to,
going to get moved and they weren't going to give them that money, this would have been the off
season to get off of the Amman Thompson experience.
Yeah, that was never in the question.
They were never going to move off of Matt Thompson.
If you were going to go all in and be like, you know what, let's pair of KD with Yannis
and the bucks are like, we have to get something in return.
And we hate Shingoon.
So maybe that would have been the only path for a man not to be a rocket.
But he very clearly is somebody that should be on this team for the next five years.
I'm happy he got paid.
Yeah.
I mean, clearly well deserved.
It's interesting because they've literally committed money to every single young player that they drafted over the last four years or so.
And all of them are good, regardless of like the holes in some guys games like Amen or Chenggung.
But now what comes with this new contract is, of course, new expectations.
And I want to see a little bit of a jump shot in $41 million a year.
Of course, guys get paid that type of money without a jump shot.
Ben Simmons, Riegobert, yada, yada, yada, yada.
Did Ben ever get 40?
you got a lot of men not 40 necessarily
he got the equivalent of 40 in 20
yeah
his 35 or 33 or whatever is
basically 40 today so
what comes comes with this new contract
it's a little bit higher expectations
I want to see like can crack 19 20 points
a game this year yeah
Ben Simmons has 25% max the same
same scale yeah
yeah it would be nice
I don't know if I'm expecting it anymore
I think a man is a man which is great
and I think he'll continue to be a better version
of this type of player that
I don't know if he'll ever have that top 10 player
in the world ceiling that people
hoped and dreamed he would have based on the insane athleticism
and potentially he won't show.
Actually, potentially he won't show
makes this sound like I'm out on him, but I'm not.
But I'm just like adjusting.
Like, you know, when he got drafted,
we thought it was a point guard.
We thought he could do on ball, passing stuff.
Like, I just think the goal is,
can you be Super Soldier Andre Goddala?
And I still feel like he's on that path.
$40 million a year,
fantastic value.
Nice and normal for a guy that deserves exactly that amount.
Yeah.
You think it could be an all-star next year?
I don't know.
The West is hard.
The West is very hot.
If he can get to,
if he can get to like 22 points maybe like if he comes out in the first half of the year and he's
really firing it feels like a lot isn't it it does but i mean that's that's that's the leap that he's
going to have to make to to get there because well yeah i mean if you you go down the list especially
if he's going to be listed as a as a guard or as a forward like either way there's just so much
depth out there that i don't think he's on that track right now if he's also that means like
they won like 60 great six years yeah
just on my den Katie is also an all-star two so and probably shangoon because he's already
has like three all-stars in the Rockets is greedy it's tough it's tough to imagine that but I think he
can take a step forward and be recognized that level of player that we're all satisfied with his
production without it actually netting out in all-star selection okay shout to him yeah shout
to him you know every time a contract like this is signed by young player have people rush
write a Twitter say overpaid terrible deal this is how a window closes
hey man they went out in the first round last year yeah it's regular it's what you
It's a good player getting paid.
It's currently no window right now.
Yeah.
I was going to say it might age well, if anything,
because I always thought like a man was a max player.
Yeah, I mean, this is a max.
So, like it makes sense.
He got exactly what he should get.
Yeah.
Next thing, a guy who has not gotten what he feels like he should get,
Jalen Dern is still waiting to get paid.
We have no update on September 7th
about the Restrictor free agency of Jalen Dern.
Actually, we do an update.
I mean that I say that.
The update is no update.
The update is, I'm pissed.
I'm pissed from Jalen Dern.
Reportedly the team is offering him around 35-9,
million dollars a year and he wants 40 and he is not feeling respected by the negotiations in that
reported five million dollar difference maybe that difference was larger and they got it down to five
but we have reports that not only is it dragging on a lot of people are saying that they don't know
if he's going to be the long term because their relationship is that rocky now that sounds to me
like regular restrictive free agency talk that like yeah right now I'm sure it is rocky does that actually
mean he'll be gone on a year I don't know but how do we feel about the idea of him wanting 40 million
dollars a year and plain disrespected by 35?
So I don't blame him for wanting it, but I do think that he's at, and a lot of players
have felt the effects of this where, like, Trey Young is now a Washington Wizard.
You've seen a lot of, you've seen other players of that, that ilk not necessarily get the deal
completely upfront.
Jaylon Brown's on the Sixers now because people are coming to terms with the money that
they have to pay people.
I think like a year ago he would have been right to ask for $40 million and he probably could have gotten it either as soon as he asked for or earlier in the summer.
Now it's just not that time and that's just not the way that the league works anymore.
And it sucks, listen, it sucks that it had to happen to you, right, whenever it's your time to get a bag.
But that's just not where we're at anymore.
Yeah, I'm not going to sit up here and be like, oh, he doesn't deserve that $40 million as you see his elimination game performance, yada yada.
I like, I get it.
And I'm kind of off of jumping on him because of his performances and all that.
Because I do think he's going to be a good player in this league for a good amount of time.
But if anything, I look at the pistons and I commend them even more because the other front office is mad stingy, bro.
They don't want to give him no picks.
Yeah, like they made some offseason moves.
They gave up a little bit of money for John Collins and all that.
But they're very, like, decisive and they like to keep their pivot.
And this is giving him $40 million or whatever he's asking for would.
Not handicapped or organization or whatever,
but it definitely makes a lot of decisions tougher to do.
Yeah, every million counts when you got a star Thompson pretty soon as well.
And KADS are already paid.
Obviously, if you continue to drive young players,
you hope they're good and deserve to get paid
when you already have three of them that are that expensive.
Every single margin counts.
And that $5 million is meaningful when you get to that level
in today's league, like you mentioned in the apron era.
I don't know.
I feel like 35 is completely reasonable.
That's mad normal.
Like, so obviously get as much as you can.
You've been an all-star appearance.
Getting 40 would be fine.
I don't think 35 is crazy, like, at all.
Yeah.
And like, so I think now it is kind of not wild, but it is a lofty ass to be like,
hey, I want this, especially given the, the playoff run that he had.
In his defense, what else are you going to do?
Because if they, if he's, if he's somewhere else, like the, the amount of centers in the,
in the league that I think that you can legitimately have as a member of your.
core moving forward.
I don't know if it's that, that high.
And so, like, yeah, we can commend the Pistons for being stingy and be like, oh,
like, you're being really smart and you're not just, you know, jumping into giving
this guy $40 million.
If he's not there, it's going to hurt because the rest of your team, as currently, you know,
constructed, you don't have a lot of good jump shooters.
You don't have a lot of creators.
Like, you're putting a lot of your hopes for this next season to build on the 61 season
on the addition of John Collins
and on just overall leaps from everybody else.
I do think that there is a part of it
where if you let Duren go,
okay, who's part of this core?
Yeah, but what does that mean?
They're not letting him go.
He's not unrestricted free agent, you know?
So like either he stays on a qualifying offer
and he passes up on $35 million a year for five years,
doubt?
I'm saying if you, if you are severing the relationships
to a point where he feels comfortable
and he's like, you know what?
Well, obviously he's not going to feel comfortable
he would rather want his money.
But to the point where he says,
I'm going to get out of here,
I'm going to sign the offer,
and then I'm going to test the waters elsewhere.
If you push him to those lengths,
I think that that's a mistake.
For sure.
I just have a hard,
like we say with every restrictive free agent,
I find it very hard to believe
he would take the qualifying offer
and pass up on 35Ms a year
to get 16 for one year
and then hope next year
the market is more robust.
That's so dumb.
And that's why we're here
because they know that's not going to happen,
right?
They know the realities of restrictive
free agency
and how much power
they wield over the players.
It's a very fucked up system.
It's kind of ridiculous that they have so much power.
But it is what it is.
I kind of just feel like it's the same thing we say every year.
When there's a restrictive free agent,
it sucks to be in this exact scenario to be a all-star level guy
where you can get squeezed to get 35 instead of 40
because you really can't do shit about it
unless you really, really force your way out
facilitate a sign and trade.
And the only one we've heard linked to is the Kings.
People would say the Kings want some kind of DeMontosabon to sign and trade.
Why would the Pistons entertain that?
Unless Jayland Daring goes like,
full you must trade me mode yeah what if he gets to that point no one does that he doesn't have the
power to do that because he's a brooky their free agent do you have to if you're going to facilitate
that you have to like does he have the most power in the situation no do you have any power yes
you have some power and a lot of times if you are like we've seen and it's a it's a different
situation because this player is much better than he is but like jimmy butler anytime
jimmy buggler's like hey i'm done jimmy buggler's going to act the craziest that he can he
He's going to make sure that if I'm uncomfortable, you're uncomfortable.
Same thing with James Hardin.
If I'm uncomfortable, if I'm not, if I'm done playing for your team, it's over.
I think that that is the only way that Jayland-Duron can actually show any type of power
and leverage in the situation.
And that's where he's, those are the links that he's going to have to go to to show
any type of power in this negotiation.
So if they are pushing him to that point, then I think it is a mistake if we're doing it
over because I think on both sides you can be like
hey bro like it's $5 million like let's
let's get over it
and so that's a point where
you're Detroit
if he's gone the rest of your
young core is like
it's it's caden him and
that's it and I think that you're going to have to
rebuild and it might be tougher than they
expect. The Walker Kester
contract really fucked him. Dude that's what I was thinking
about I'm like but Walker Kessler his contract
does not mean that OD either it's like what
30 32 but he got that coming off an injury
Yeah, best I'm saying.
He got 32 million.
So the Pistons, you're looking at him and be like,
he gets 32, you get a little more
because you're proven.
You didn't get hurt last year.
And you made the leap that they're assuming
Walker Castle would have made the same leap.
So they're going on theory
and giving him the most money to represent that.
Yours is tangible.
You did it.
You stayed healthy.
So here's a few million more.
But that's the line.
32 and a half for Walker Kessler,
you get 35.
You want of them.
He's your peer,
you're same draft class,
same restricted free agency class.
Here's more.
He wants way more.
Yeah, because he's looking at guys like,
I don't know what,
Ted Hungry or whatever.
Evan Mobley's like, yo, these guys got like 40,
Evan will we got something crazy than that,
but $40 million a year.
He thinks he's in the same caliber.
And I don't completely fault him for that.
But if I'm the Pistons, it's just whatever.
Get this shit over with because there's no better options right now.
Yeah.
Sucks to be a restrictive free agent.
That is the moral of the story is that the Pistons are probably going to win
because they have every reason to.
Yeah.
Just Trees are saying, future clipper?
Question mark.
Sam Coy says it would be a very obvious fit for the clipper
have the motivation to overpay him in the 2027
free agency class if the Pistons
can't get a long-term deal done.
Sure. And that's probably what he's hoping.
That's probably what the agents are like,
if you want to take the qualifying offer,
the Clippers are going to have money.
Doubt would we get there.
If I'm the Clippers, though,
just entertaining this situation.
Hell yeah.
Given their situation,
if I got DG and Dern for the next four or five years,
you can do worse.
Yeah.
But Wagler as well?
Yeah.
You can be a lot worse.
But again, that would require him
taking the qualifying offer right now
and getting to next year's free agency,
which again, doubt.
That's just so dumb.
to do. Yeah, it's crazy.
What if you guys, what if it was a one you're wondering? Now you pass it up on 35
ms. Yeah. They give you 20. You don't have a pick to
2034. I'm gonna do it. Oh, for sure. This isn't about the clippers.
Yeah, they'd wait till next year. It's about the pistons allowing him to get to
that point. Yeah, it'll be dumb for him to do it's going to go ahead and take this
one year qualifying offer. But for the clippers? Oh my God. This is exactly what you
see. I don't, I don't think it's, I don't think it's a, I don't think it's a
risk. But I don't think it's dumb. And, and I think that if,
you truly feel like you are worth that and if you feel like you have elevated to this level of
of player and you can become an unrestricted free agent after you know play off this qualifying offer
then okay go go ahead and do it yeah but of course it's not it's dumb and the reason no one does it
is just because the risk is so great that like anything can happen in one year one unfortunate injury
and your market's completely different and you passed up on his 180 million dollar contract and now
that's gone like all over five million dollars bro like you're you're you're a
player and you're popular and all that. Go make that 5Ms off the court. Get your get your agent to
fucking work. Do some endorsements like you just never know what's going to happen. When 180 million
dollars is staring in the face. Yeah. It's a very, very hard thing to say no. And nobody's like ever
done that. No notable free agent has ever taken the qualifying offer for a reason. Sounds like people
scared, man. It's like honestly you should be. You should be scared of that. That's it would be dumb to
not be scared. I, I just think it's it's okay to take a to take a risk.
Yeah, and to do it.
We've seen at times before them.
And like, if it doesn't work out, then, then obviously, like, you're going to look back
and be like, oh, dang, like, I should, I should have did this.
But no, you won't just look back to like, all day.
You lose generational wealth.
If he, if he comes out and if he stays healthy and signs the qualifying offer and it works
out, then we're going to look back and be like, wow, Jayland Dern, he's so,
he's so brave.
He bet he bet on himself.
What a great story.
I think that there is something there and that it's not completely idiotic to say,
no, okay, go ahead and do this.
And then you have complete, you have complete power over where, over where you want to play,
as opposed to being stuck in the situation and being locked into a deal that is way under your,
your perceived value and market value for the next four years.
For sure.
I understand that.
But then that's how you become like a dentist show.
Exactly.
And then you're asked out out of like 90 million or even now the new Dennis shoulder,
Jonathan Camilla.
You got, you've been making like 30 M's a year.
Now you're scraping for like 16 million years.
Got that game of mindset.
dollars you know what if i do land on red then what then i'm up yeah it's not it's not dumb but
but the risk he's also much he's also much better than than they are yeah so like and so like
the market is is different yeah it's not really the point though the point is just that like any risk is a
risk and it's unwise when that much it's on the table and like it's really so so so for y'all
it's like if there's any risk whatsoever then i'm not going to do it all right we're getting into
some magic now that's not important at all that no i mean that's that's what that's what it sounds like
Uh-huh.
If it's just over $5 million, I don't care.
If they're off from 20, then I would understand if it was ridiculous.
But if it's the amount is, if it's four years or five, would it be five years,
the $25 million difference and you're taking $16 instead of $180, like,
there's a certain amount of risk and that's just over the line.
It also could be more because that, especially from that report, it's saying in excess of 40,
he could be asking for more than 40.
Well, then he's a moron.
You know?
And so if you said more than 40.
then nothing matters
so it's like okay
we're done talking rational here
if he wants 50 which I don't even know
can they even give them a 30% max
I don't even know
I guess because he's an all-star
I guess maybe they can
yeah okay then sick dude
then nothing matters here
he's asking for like 60
they can't even do that legally
he's asking for the Kauai job
hey man
and that's why if I'm the clippers
I'm tampering again
okay next thing another news about signings
flipping directions
yes ben simmons is back in the NBA
the sacramento kings have signed him to a one year
three point five million dollar deal
leach report says all caps ben is back
fire emoji do you also feel fire emoji about
ben simmons being back yeah ma'amore when you see this jersey
like what do you what do you feel what do I feel
when I see a ben simmons Sacramento king jersey
I feel okay
I don't feel nothing
other than thumbs up
nice
you barely feel anything
I don't feel that damn thing
I'm out of my soul than okay
Ben is back in the league
I feel happy for him I hope it works out
I'm like good for him I'm glad he's back getting another chance
I'm like I'm rooting for him I'll say that
yeah for sure one thing I will say is
you know Ben Simmons and my league
for Kulo three four million dollars
77 a roll on 2K
he moves mountains off the bench
bro 77 yeah it's pretty
Well, I don't know what he is this in this year's 2K, but last year.
That's what he was a, he was a demon bro coming off.
What do you think he'll be in this year?
Maybe he's like a 75, haven't seen him in a minute.
I'll say it's 72.
To start, yeah.
Well, the problem is also health when he's on the court, you know, attribute wise.
He maybe 75 is fair.
72 is just like, you think anybody can get a 72.
It's shitty players are 72.
Like he has two, he's still like, six.
Oh, funny names like, but some shitty players are 702.
Yeah, like, you're hanging on.
By thread, bro.
This not hanging on by the thread.
Is that that with this entire situation?
No, I mean, he told to leave the league.
The threat snapped.
His only way back into the league was signing with the Kings.
Okay, we're just going on every direction.
But anyways, pretty low risk, obviously.
If he doesn't, he chose to leave the league.
Like, he's freaking Dave Chappelle.
Like, like, he's walking away from all this winter.
My true calling is to be a fisherman.
And he won't a ring in the Fisherman League.
Maybe he was on to something.
Who knows what he has left in the tank?
Hopefully he's healthy and he's ready to succeed.
It's good.
If he can give them a little bit, some rotation minutes.
Okay.
Apparently if he plays this year, he qualifies for the league pension.
Oh, hell yeah.
Get in the game.
Yeah.
This would be 10 years?
Yeah, yeah.
And he's going to get like 200K a year post-retirement.
And benefits forever.
benefits forever.
I understand it now.
I understand it now.
He's like, fuck, I got to play for Sacramento for one year.
So be it.
Sure.
There's been big guys that dealt with injuries all like that.
He's not medical bills forever.
You got to get those paid for by the league.
I'd come back too for the Kings.
Sure.
Okay.
That's a strategic sacrifice.
I understand it now.
It all makes sense.
Is there like a minimum amount of games needs to play for this to qualify as his 10th year?
I can't remember.
You can't just play one and he's done.
I think it might be.
I remember there's a story where
Who was it was it Tony Snell
Yeah Tony Snell
Was like one season away
And people were like
Sign him for one game
So he can get it
And I know one did it
And everyone was mad
So I think it might be
Like you just gotta play for one game
In a season to count
Let's do it Ben
Let's get to the bag
Good for him
Good for him
That's the only thing I can say
Yeah
Kauai follow up
That obviously
Ball dropped last week
Kau Leonard
Guilty
I should say
Steve Balmer
Guilty as shit
Follow up since then
We have heard
That the Clippers
Are wanting
to take this to
arbitration, which means take it to a third party to rule on the situation and try to make it
so the NBA has to change the punishment they got.
Pablo Tori in a follow-up report has said, the clippers are not aware of the fact that they
are not allowed to take it to arbitration.
The CBA says the only way a punishment can be taken to arbitration specifically is it done
by the NBA PA that cannot happen because Kauai settled with the NBAPA.
So that statement he put out where he said, I'm sorry, the people might can't do something bad.
I take full responsibility.
It's because the NBA decided to settle with him first, so Steve Bomber couldn't go that
route and now it seems that the only thing the clippers can do is sue them in the courts
since they are not able to do arbitration because of kaii take it to the u.s take it to the senate
take it to the president this is stupid man you just got to take their belt and cry about it that's
tough not really tough this is you get but loki honestly though if there was an administration
that you could take this to and be like hey please please fix this one it's it's this one
So how do I pardon him?
Yeah.
How do I pardon this billionaire?
I got to figure it out.
It's true.
Low key.
This might be the best time to sue the NBA.
It's probably not going to amount to anything just because this is how it works anytime that you asked like the federal government to step in and overturn something that happened in a privately owned, you know, like network and SBA.
It's like nothing is going to happen.
Yeah.
But I would just for.
with the optics of the Clippers trying to go to a higher court and losing again, I would appreciate
that. Jay Cole says, Clippers fans need our love and support. Y'all seen what the fuck Adam Silveries
did to them. I think you got booed after saying this too. Where did you say this at?
Concert. No, but like, do you know what city? I think he was in L.A. He was probably in L.A.
He was probably in L.A. C. Hey, I feel about Jay Cole saying Clippers fans. He said that.
He said that. It's just like the fucking Dome had a catastrophic hurricane run through that bitch.
Facts.
like they're Saints fans
yeah
he said this before
playing love yours
the only reason
I bring this up too
is a follow-up
is the implication here
it kind of is that
not
how do I phrase this
Kawhi definitely
let the clippers
out to dry a little bit
100%
Kawhi settled behind the scenes
and was like fuck them
because the NBA
like I said
if they settled with Kauai
and made it so the PA says
we're not going to do arbitration
the clippers have no recourse
for the most part
Kawhi said
that's them, not me. I'll take my plea deal
and get out of there and skate.
Nah, man. If I'm Steve Balmer, I'm getting Trump
to import Kauai back into the U.S.
Fuck that. You hear it with me.
We were talking about. We were talking about
Kauai didn't have a big punishment. We were like, damn,
no suspension. We theorized.
Maybe it's because he's on the rappers. They brought that
box of donuts in.
You want a sandwich? Yeah. You want a soda?
Here's a coat.
He got to yapping.
He took a plea deal. It was aspiration.
It was Dactronics. It was them.
them then here are the companies that I use like i'll tell you about some more that
paula hasn't even found yet this balding deal they don't even know about that one so it
all makes sense now what colla got off free scoffrey he said to be honest keep it on them they said
that they were going to do this with somebody else so keep keep investigate jalen brunson
the whole thing is funny too there's a few other that's not something to break down a few
others that other players that took smaller deals with the Clippers.
There's some more.
There's a lot.
There's a couple.
Nick Batum took a strange deal in 2021 with them.
There's a few small ones here and there that like,
maybe those things are in shape off about.
Leave Nick Batum out of this, man.
He's in France right now, man.
Leave Nick Baton out of this.
You got a back guy's sponsorship.
We will see if there's any follow up in the coming weeks
that the Clippers do anything about it.
But the main thing that they said they're going to do arbitration, they cannot.
which is why funny that they announced it.
They can't do shit about it.
Also, that Jake Cole thing, man,
I've tried, especially since the album dropped,
I've tried very hard to defend him.
That's pandering right there,
and I can't respect that.
I can't respect it.
He doesn't care about the clippers.
At all.
He does not care.
Nope.
Gabe Vincent says,
Bama out of Bio has to rent out the entire theater
in order to go see a movie.
He says, that's cool to do,
but when you go to the movies,
do you really want to spend
$1,500?
You don't have to do that shit.
My question is,
if you were an NBA player,
would you be renting out
entire movie theaters
and doing shit like this?
Every time?
Every time.
No, not every time.
So if you're Bam out of bio,
that level of player
where people know you,
you'd score 83,
people really know you.
You're also 610.
You're 6'10.
Would you go to movie theater
and be gawked at
pictures taken of you?
Would you be moving like this
or would you just be regular
and go to theater?
Do you think he started moving like this
after the 83 or before?
Definitely after.
I'm going to say before he was already 16.
I'm going to say,
you guys in the back,
otherwise you're a dickhead,
people can't see over you.
I mean,
if you got the reclining seats,
you might be able to.
Yeah,
you can get away with that.
Yeah,
because they're leveled in a way
where, like,
tall people aren't crazy.
Okay, advanced AMCs, you're good.
You're right,
you're right.
Duh,
they are level.
You definitely can't see.
Yeah.
You're right.
So he's fine.
What he has to do is,
like,
the 5 o'clock movie,
that's done.
You either have to see a movie
at 9.30 in the morning.
Or you have to see it at 10 p.m. at night.
You have that issue there.
They have advanced schedules.
They have sleep schedules.
They got to eat certain times.
Or NBA athletes?
Would you do that?
Or would you spend $1,500 to go see one battle off or another?
I'm not doing that.
I'm not doing that.
And I think, I mean, NBA players, they stay up.
They stay up.
They got a lot of free time.
That's what I'm saying.
They'd be out.
And so I think the 930 show, yeah, either early in the morning, you wake up.
Let's say you wake up at 5 o'clock in the morning.
You get your work done.
You go see the movie.
Come back.
Get your second work done.
You could have two training days and a movie by two o'clock in the afternoon and still
be able to go to sleep at a reasonable time.
If you really want to see a movie, you could do that.
I'm not 1,500 every single time.
What if you do?
What if you do all that?
And then the movie that you go see, just ass, how pissed out me?
He spends $1,500.
You spend $1,500 to see The Flash.
Yeah, yeah, it definitely depends on the movie.
Spending $1,500 to see Despicable Me with Asia Wilson.
Come on.
Are you
Have no kids?
That's crazy
That's why
You're monsters
Just y'all
Instead of 1500
Just spend three at dollars
Buy Shiksey show up
Bray
He's 610
He may even look more odd
He's 16
If you are 610
And you show up in a shi
They're shooting you down
Immediately
They look at you
Like a threat
The AMC employees
Are really big fire
Imagine
I know about all that
Is this BAM?
He's already dead
No.
That'll be the craziest Scooby-Doo villain reveal ever.
It's bam!
It's bad.
They didn't get shot down by AMC employees.
They're shooting you down.
Depending on where you go.
It's Florida.
Yeah, crazy stuff happens all the time.
He's not Caleb Williams.
Pulls a gut out from the popcorn machine by the popcorn.
They got the silent alarm.
At the AMSto.
Oh, yeah.
I think it's a bank.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I just want to know if you guys are rent out of movie theaters.
If you were Bam out of bio.
Not often.
I think if it was like one, if it was, if it was like a big movie, I would do it.
Like for, I probably would have did it for Spider-Man.
Whole team would have came and watched.
Like, if I'm renting it out, it's not just going to be us to.
You got to maximize that shit.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I assume he'd invite a lot of players.
And I literally just him.
Yeah.
That'd be hilarious.
Next thing.
Boy,
loves Spider-Man.
I got to take this in alone.
I got to experience this one-on-one with me and Pete.
Yeah, to bring all this air alone.
It's weird.
Me and PD, go back.
Next thing.
I remember him.
Chris Paul and Russell Westberg are now best buds in retirement.
They both retired at the same time.
They've been posted up together.
Chris Paul posted this picture of a photo of them together.
Going out on top.
The caption says,
Lots to celebrate.
And in this photo dump, there's also a video of them playing tennis together.
I never seen this before.
They're getting in retirement.
That's what you tell my go back?
Those are going to.
Wait, Tom, I'll go back.
This picture not crazy?
It's not fake.
This kind of crazy.
The hand placement kind of crazy too.
I'm not cool.
Is this not fake?
I don't think so, is it?
No.
This picture not faced by Legion hoops.
Like you think.
Is this a fake Polaroid?
It has to be.
No, it's a real picture.
I mean, it's like.
Why is his hand so low?
It's basketball, man.
I don't know.
It's just lower back.
They're guarding each other.
Yeah.
They're like patty.
People pat show on their butt in sports.
It is what it is.
This is not a pat.
It's probably a split second.
I don't think he was in there
fucking gripping it for 30 minutes.
He's like, it's not a split second.
This is a funny picture.
I didn't know they were a tight like this, man.
I don't know if they were either,
but they retired together.
They went out on top together.
Yeah, they're playing tennis together,
passing time,
doing retirement activities.
Cute.
I never seen this before from two players,
so I didn't.
think we're like best buds at all. I thought they like respected each other and shit,
but it's like, it's cool to see. Yeah, they're not practicing their swing.
Live in life. They're both dumb. They don't got to work. They can just chill. Yeah.
What a cool experience to go out at the same time with one of your peers, two Hall of Famers.
Is that like you have all the history together? It is rude. What the heck?
Of course it's real. Why did you do research on it? Yeah. Why are just so preposterous to you?
It's not even that crazy. No, the picture is definitely real. My question is, why did you make it into a
Polaroid? That doesn't look like a wedding photo or something like that. Yeah. What's this event? They have
They have the flowers in the background.
Yeah, I guess it was like a joint retirement party.
Okay, yeah, probably.
Which that's cute.
That's cool.
No, this whole thing is cute as hell.
I love it.
It's fantastic.
I just hear the music at the background.
What was it?
The music in the background, yeah.
Just hear in the background.
If they listen to all of me at the retirement party,
that would be the crazy part.
Why is that the song?
They slow dancing and shit.
They're probably not slow.
They probably just dribbling slowly.
West and Russbrook still hitting the folks too.
All of me.
We said it's my only move.
I don't know.
Yeah, good for them.
I would like to throw lobs on the yacht.
That would be very cool.
Ross got up to the else.
Is this going to be with...
He did get up.
Hops like crazy.
Is this going to be what LeBron and Curry do
when they retire?
They probably should.
I think they're probably retired at the same time.
Well, like a joint retirement party?
Or just like, you best buds and do stuff like this,
post pictures playing tennis together.
Dremont and Braun, definitely.
Oh, well, yeah.
I think Stephen Brown are within the first six months of both of them being retired.
They will post a, actually not.
Honestly, within six weeks, they'll post a picture together on a golf course.
Can they call them doing the IG collab too?
No pod.
Maybe.
I guarantee you to do a podcast.
No, for sure.
Guarantee it.
They'll do a memory lane podcast hitting down.
You should do a memory lane.
dump. Has Steph been on the
Yeah, no. He went on the game right?
He did? Yeah.
I don't remember. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah, they're running in the past ones.
Let me see. Yeah.
You remember the
because there was the one
like during the Olympics, there was one with
LeBron, Steph, and KD. But that was like
an NBA like center thing. I think that was only like
18, 20 minutes or something. He went on in November
2025. I think the
three of them will probably get together to do like a full
length, like one hour thing.
That would be cool shit.
Last thing to talk about today, Michael Porter Jr.
is apparently a trade piece by the Nets per
a Nets reporter.
Oh, thank goodness.
I thought you were going to say something about something he said.
I bring this up because I'm curious what you'll think about
this coming to the next season.
The Brooklyn Nets view MPJ is more of a trade asset than a long-term
piece and his Nets tenure might be coming to a close
shortly.
And I mean, duh, for the most part.
Like shout out Eric Slater for the report, but like duh.
I'm just curious how y'all feel about him as a trade piece.
Like do y'all, are you all excited about an MPJ trade potentially?
Like, is he somebody like moves you going to coming here as a trade target for somebody?
Why y'all laughing?
I don't know.
Because I had to just be like, yeah, duh.
Do some real work, but.
No, no, no.
I didn't mean like, I would have assumed as much.
Glad he reported on to make it clear.
But, like, yeah.
He's a good word with, duh.
Good work.
not what I meant
these entry level reports
go get some real sources
no what I meant
poor resources
he's in Brooklyn
I mean duh
yeah
like are you guys interested
in him as a trade target
or is he whatever
no it's cool
he averaged like what
25 or some crazy
like that
to start the year
I think he might
shot well
yeah no
it definitely
definitely went down
because he was
he was going crazy
at the beginning
of the year
and then kind of tiled off
but
I think he is super interesting as a trade target.
I think it's very clear that he can help a lot of teams.
And even if he's not playing beside Yokoichi,
he can still be very helpful in his shooting.
And just the fact that he's 6-10ing can shoot that way is extremely versatile for a lot of teams.
Yeah, you can get a lot of assets for him back or a good amount of assets for him back.
I don't know what it might be, like for sure like a first-round pitch.
Maybe even too.
Honestly, because he's not an all-star, obviously.
but I think he is when it comes to a talent level he's not overly far off that he is a true
difference maker he can start on a lot of damn teams in the league yeah I got a swap of two seconds
for you can we get this done a swap a 231 Lakers first time pick swap a soft don't move me
he makes $35 million a year I don't even know if they could do that actually a lot of money a lot of
money I was kidding though I think even with how he sold down I think he went on some stream maybe
he was a stream. He was like, yeah, because
he didn't trade me, I kind of cooled off the second half
the season. He was trying to get
out of there. Fucking red flag.
Jesus. Last thing I want to hear if I'm
training for this motherfucker. It's kind of honest.
Yeah. Yeah, don't be.
Oh, actually, it'll be honest that I see you red flags
that like, damn, that's not a person I want.
There was also another stream where apparently you forgot the year he won a
championship already.
That's got a great. That's insane to me right there.
What year we were? I know
the year he won't a championship.
how could you that's like the best moment of your life
what if it wasn't
even if it's not a good moment you've been in the league
some people are not defined by just what happens
on the NBA floor like that could not be
that could be
I get if you have to some money
this isn't the point at all by the way
it's a matter of simple memory
you can't leave for eight years only eight numbers it could be
one out of eight you can't remember that
one or eight that's 13
that's just easy
you got eight options to pick a number
you don't know which one it is
yeah it's not the first couple
so you really got like five options.
It's not the last couple,
so you really got like three options.
That just a minisus is trade value.
I ain't going to lie.
Like, I don't know why it would say something like that.
It doesn't bode well at the least.
Like, do you say, do you say, do you say 22?
You just say he didn't remember.
He's like, what you're right when?
Yeah, yeah.
Something like that.
All right.
That doesn't bother me too much.
I raised my eyebrow.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm not saying fucking running out of the league for it,
but I definitely, like, huh?
Yeah.
I go, huh?
That just aren't MPJ guys.
you are and so it's like
it's not being yeah
are you a guy who the fuck
as an MPJ guy
that's too much man
that's too much
I mean I'm just I'm just saying like
I think it's remember their own Twitter
saying it's Chad tendencies
I think it's like
wait what
oh you didn't see somebody
made a wokeness meter tweet for us
oh
they said document as
Chuck tendencies
okay that he hides
being an NBA guy
as a chud tendency
I didn't see that
I think it's okay that
that he is like
speaks his mind
oh like in 2023
no not that
but like in 2023
he's that's not like
if he's just like
oh what year
okay fine okay
it really doesn't matter
yeah it doesn't matter
I'm glad you took the brave stand
and that's all the news
for this week
next thing we're gonna do
as you see about the main title
we are going to tier list
NBA offseason roster upgrades
we will see a series of graphics that shows
the player that was added as well as the player
they're either traded for or directly replace
and we'll decide where they go in this tier list.
The tiers are you can win a chip now.
So we can this move directly put them into title contention.
It doesn't mean they're the favorites.
Obviously, no one's going to be the favorite
over like the Spurs or Thunder or whatever,
but you can feasibly win a chip because of this move.
Objectively solid upgrade.
So maybe not chip, but like you got better
and you can't really deny it.
Risky, but I feel good about it.
It can go either way, right?
But I feel good about your bet.
risky and I don't feel good
literally nothing changes
so there's no risk, just apathy
and you got worse
hell yeah
okay
so apathy is just barely above
getting worse
you'd almost rather feel something than nothing
even if nothing is neutral
so first off
Randall and Nasri
turning into a mellow ball
I think you got better
now I do have questions
about the size on this team
awkwardly enough like over the last few years
even when Cat was here, like, everyone was like, yo, the biggest strength for this team is their size.
They have length on length on length.
And they don't have to be, like, overly in defensive position to make an impact.
And now a lot of that length got zapped.
Yeah, you got Rudy Gaubert still there.
You know, they're McDaniels still there, which is great.
But you are going to miss that so badly.
But I still think because of the attributes between Lamello and Anthony Edwards and how they have super strengths
when it comes to the three point, literally like three point attempts and shit like that,
I think they got better at the end of the day.
Yeah, they get Kavina, they'll get some of that size back and they just get a starting
caliber player that's six foot eight, right?
So they're not going to be like a complete whole power forward.
You get a like low level starter level to get there.
Like you're okay with that, right?
Like it's fine plug and play to start him next to Jaden.
So if that kind of mitigates some of the like glaring holes of the trade, do we feel like,
obviously we all like the lamell about that all summer.
the riskiness factor would be the injury stuff right do you guys feel good about the pivot
to get anthony edwards air to that next level being a guy who gets hurt a lot in lemelo um so
do i feel good about it yeah i would have it in risky but i feel good about it yeah and the
riskiness is the health related stuff is it just that just overall personality i also think the fact that
i think overall personality and the fact that he's also not a good defender at all and
at least in this specific deal
because you salary dumped Randall
and then you traded Nas Reid
and Dante's hurt your depth is
very very slim
and I think going
going all in for La Mello at this point
it does put a lot of pressure
on this move to work out because if he doesn't
perform to a certain level which they had Randall
and he wasn't showing up in the playoffs anyway
so there's going to be an upgrade
there but for the next era you do need lamello to be the good version of lemo that we saw last year
and we've yet to see that i think they even need him to be like the better version of him than
last year honestly like they even i don't even know if he shot like above 40% from the field last
year it was like that dicey when it comes to his efficiency and i want to see him of course
the same keep the same level of playmaking but also can you like defer a little bit more shots
and maybe even boost up that playmaking a little bit more
or just like not take as many dumb shots.
I feel like you certainly will and that's why I like it.
They're like players like this need to be forced to defer.
You know, they're not going to do it just because.
Like, shout out con, I'm still going to get my shots in.
Playing with Ant, like you have to mentally make a change.
You're going to somebody else's team,
a player that is clearly a much, much better score than you.
You know they brought you for playmaking.
The one-two punch abilities there are like readily apparent.
You'd have to be so hard-headed to not move more towards playmaking
that I really, really like that for him.
Yeah.
He shot 40.7% from the field.
That's disgusting.
About the same as a previous year where he's at 40.5.
Now granted, he shoots 10-3s a game.
So his effective focal percentage was about his career high,
51.6%, which isn't, like, good.
But it wasn't disaster.
His true shooting was...
True, looking for true shooting.
54%.
So it's like 2% below league average.
So not good, not good.
Yeah.
But risky for...
the, of course, like, the Off-Forst stuff is hilarious to say, but
risky definitely because I can imagine a world where he just
isn't good enough straight up. Do you think we overblow the risk?
Like, like I said, shooting guard there, that's much better scored to him to make
him defer. Two elite defenders in a lineup to kind of like make up for that.
He's ever played with an elite room protector like Obert.
I don't even know if he's played with an elite wing slash forward defender like
Jayden.
Camingo, he can kind of do some of the bridges stuff he did, running in transition,
helping facilitate that.
I don't know if there's a big downside other than injury risk, which is baked in with everybody.
I kind of feel like it's objectively solid upgrade.
Low key, they're my roll the ball out team of the year.
We're like on paper, thunder spurs.
Okay, y'all got it.
Objectively, I mean, they're in a different.
Let's talk.
Can they win a chip now?
Because, like, I don't think that's crazy.
That's what I'm saying?
You roll the ball out.
I don't know.
I don't think they're six, seven game series to me.
We got to say, what does Win a Chip mean?
Because, like, where's a line?
Are they a serious, like, contender?
Series contender, I feel like, means, like, one of the three or 14s that we're going
and say you really win.
Are we opening room in our hearts for like,
you can make a run and surprise us?
Like, I'm sure the-
There's room for that,
but also I think there's room for that
because they've done it two of the last three years.
Yeah, yeah.
And like last year,
last year they were still in the second round.
They won a playoff series even with everybody here
and Randall playing, you know, terribly.
So there is room where it's like,
okay, you reload and you, you know,
shift up the way that your team operates.
Now you can go ahead and play a different style.
Maybe you can't get there, but when the chip, I do think you have to be one of the, like, the three or four best teams in the league.
And I don't feel like that about them right now.
I wouldn't make it that narrow personally, just because, like, it's really like that.
It's really like that, though.
Like the inner circle of contenders is normally pretty narrow.
Yeah.
And, okay, then I think we should talk about the outer circle contenders then for that just because I think nobody's breaking the inner circle.
Like, that's really hard to beat Thunder and Spurs level and throw Nixon there.
I would say
do we think there can be
that second level
of like they have a real chance
you know
you just fucking
get you excited for a second
no
it's like throw the champions
in there too
yeah
it's not a man
it's not a man
but like
the murder
but I think for me personally
what's kind of hard
is I have to see it first
because you literally
got rid of
a whole theme
and like a pillar of your team
and just we're going to be bigger
than every single team
out there
and we're going to have
so much depth to prove that
They're not the biggest team out there anymore.
Like, yeah, they still have size and all that.
They're not the largest.
No, not anymore.
I don't know if you did get rid of that, though, really.
We can't look over the fact that La Mella ball is 6-7 and rebounds.
And I'm not saying he's the most physical guy in the world.
Obviously, he's like a great defender.
You're a lot bigger with a 6-7 point guard.
And they get Kaminga there next to Jada McDaniels.
There's coming to 6-7, 6-8 with shoes.
Jaden's like 6-10 these days.
That's just as big, not as much girth into him within Julius Randall.
But that's still pretty big and stuff that Ito's,
you still go bare, the physicality of Anthony Edwards.
losing Osri at the bench definitely hurts that
so the depth isn't quite as big
but I do still think they'll have some type of
overwhelming size and win the rebounding battle
because of Lamello. I don't think they completely
lose identity. No,
but I...
And that's a fast athletic team. Can you get it? I guess
mean, I think they're... I think they're
tall. I don't think that they're like...
They're not bruising. Yeah, they're not big.
And so like they do have the length where you could win
elsewhere, but like, Randall
is... Randall is a strong
guy. Now, Nuzreed has size to him. So,
Even, and especially when you're talking about these like double big lineups,
that's one of the only reasons why Nasreid can feel somewhere additive is because he's big
and you have the size to at least bang with bigs.
Caminga's not doing that.
Lamella doesn't provide that at all.
So I think he is doing that.
I think it's one of the few things he does.
You think Camiga can actually bang?
Yeah, he can throw his body around and bang.
I think those shining moments in the Hawks playoff series where we're like, look at these flashes of Kamenga.
it wasn't him running in transition
blocking shit
like really banging
but the thing is
that only happens in flashes
bro like the last two games
of that series
he had eight rebounds combined
bro
yeah I'm not saying
so it's like
he's Randall in terms of banging around
but I think if you're selling yourself
on like the situation
is good for him
and we think it's an okay starter
I think he brings bang around
is like all I'm saying
I'm not saying he'll be great
but like
if you can harness that
I think he bangs
is all I'm saying
I can bang and spurs too
on the jimbles
yeah you can be bang in spurts
he can yes he for sure can
That's just, they're not replacing, they're not replacing random with a twig, is all I'm saying.
Yeah, it's just, it is a big difference where you had two guys who can actually bang more consistently than what Kaminga brings.
I love the bang discourse.
Yeah.
And the, the, the kamingas, this is the reason why he got 12 million over two years is because at this point in his career, he's just flashes.
And so if we're assuming that they get to chip status, I think that's assuming that this is the spot where everything absolutely clicks.
And maybe, maybe it is.
But also, I think that we have talked so much about comminga and about potential.
And nothing means a damn thing.
I'm not saying their title hopes are tried to comming go to all.
I think same thing I thought was the Lakers when that was in the air.
Camigua just be regular.
Camiga would be baseline, like, get some good traits out of him.
But like just be a fifth starter.
To me, it's about the lamello ant pairing being insane.
And Gober is still being there doing everything Gober has done well.
that's the only reason I broach topic of maybe they can be second level contenders
You know what? I think what will move me ultimately if the in Lamello thing, I have no doubt
to work. I think it will work out 100%. I think Rudy's going to have another great year.
Ultimately for me, it's who's going to be like the six, seventh guy off the bench who can make
a real impact. I assume it's going to be Ayurusimu, of course. He's going to be like normal.
He might be a six man of the year candidate or whatever. But more so it's like, what is Terranche?
And then junior prepared to do. You know? Or these other young guys who's going to like
come in and step up and give you like real valuable 15, 20 minutes spurts while
out in the game or if Jane McDaniel is out too like stuff like that matters. And I don't know
if they're there yet. So this specific move, if we're putting comminga into it, then I can say
objectively solid upgrade. If we're just going this one, I still think that there's some risk
to it. Then my vote would be objectively solid upgrade. You're going risky but you feel good about
it. What do you feel? I think risky, but I feel good about it. Okay. Beasles you agree.
Yeah. We can sit on this. All right. Risky it is.
I'm, again, I'm only starting this combo with them because I haven't like,
still got to spend time to be thinking about it.
I'm flirting with the idea that there'll be a contender.
Like, I think so, yeah.
Yeah, I think there's obviously risk involved like we outlined.
I don't feel like fantastic about the wing group with Kaminga,
Terran Shannon, all these guys.
But I think their strengths might be insanely strong.
Next one, Talley Hero to Janus will simplify it there to that star difference there.
Obviously more stuff is involved including in depth.
But Tyler here, we're going to Yonis.
You could win a chip now.
Do you think that?
I'm surprised.
I think that,
so I think the way that the rest of the offseason has gone for Miami also is influencing.
But I think that having Janus there, it's, you're at least two tiers above what you were with Tyler Hero.
And you have a, you have an actual championship ceiling to where you can go out, be aggressive in the trade market, go get somebody back.
And having a, having a big man duo of Janice and Bam.
It is when you're going up against a Wembe, when you're going up against a Thunder.
Obviously, this would be in the finals because they're opposite conferences.
But even if you're talking about the top teams in the east, if you're going up against the Knicks
and you have Kat there that's super physical, you have two bigs that can guard him.
The Pistons, if they have Dern, you have two guys that can dominate right there.
So I do think that they have gotten to that level.
Yeah.
Interesting.
from that upgrade
I think he gives them that ceiling
It's definitely objectively good upgrades
Like there's no
There's no risk involved I think
In doing that trade to get Janus
As far as you know what you will get from Janus
You know you probably are still on a perfect team or anything
But he's fucking Janus
He's one of the least risk players in the world
Unless he gets hurt which everybody can get hurt
I struggle to know
If I feel like they're going to be a
We'll continue to use this parameter
A second tier title contender
I don't know
Like do you feel better about them than the Celtics
Then the Celtics
I say yes, only because I have a couple worries about Tatum and the consistency that he's going to be able to provide because the whole Achilles stuff still.
I think he's going to be fine.
But more so I think Janice.
You're going to take that?
I think Janice is going to come different this year because I think he has a lot to not necessarily to prove, but more so like to the for himself and also like the outer world.
You know, like we're talking about who's the best player in the NBA, Yolkits, Wembe, and Shay.
No one's ever mentioned Janus those conversations at all.
And that's for like pretty like valid reasons.
He hasn't made a deep playoff run in a minute.
And I think overall when it comes to zoning out, when it comes to this roster, plays there now.
David M. Mitchell, he's not a bad player and he can be additive in certain ways.
Bam is bam is bam.
Andrew Wiggins is like the, a fine player there at the three spot two.
I think they have just enough to actually contend.
And if they were to raise up the trophy at the end of the year, I would not be surprised.
It wouldn't shock me.
Oh, it would definitely shock me.
I'm not.
It would shock you?
Yeah.
I just feel like
recollecting the conversations
we've had after the honest trade
afterwards, we were happy for the heat
in terms of like,
you finally got your star and everything.
But then we had like follow-up conversations
about the upper echelon of Eastern Conference teams.
Yeah.
He's locally forgot about the heat.
But Donovan, I'm surprised Dominson is.
Donovan was like, I don't know if they're going to be a top 16.
It might be the plan.
Yeah, because it was the Knicks, the Celtics,
the Sixers, the Raptors.
Yeah.
But I do think this is an interesting combo
as far as this cheer list goes
because I don't think they're a contender right now.
But I do think getting Janus and having a player that good with another star there
puts you in striking distance that like, yeah, you could win a chip.
It'll require a couple things to go your way.
But like I feel like when you have Janus, you're always close.
Unless it goes really poorly and like shit is disastrous, which I don't feel like they
have that many like crazy outcomes on the table.
I feel like they're going to be good.
Yeah.
As the offseason has gone on, I've started to like them a little bit more.
And Clay moved you
Not really
Not crazy
You're in for the aura
But
I mean, listen
He's out in Miami
This man's a new Ray Allen
BBL Clay
Not what I was talking about
Yeah
Different kind of aura there
One check mind souls
He's
He's in the number one spot in that
He sees ass in convos
Where ass isn't even involved
Listen
For that
And boats
For that in boats
he's in the best spot in the country
so for somebody who's like 35
and just trying to be out here to live life
he's out there he's doing it
that's not what he said
he said BBL Clay
that's a different sentence
maybe
maybe
but so okay but with the
even looking
like
I think they could be better than
than the Celtics this year
they could
they definitely could
it's on the table
I can see them
Like if they get to
If everything clicks
I can see them being like a two C
And it wouldn't it wouldn't shock me
Yeah I
I've started to feel
Worse about a lot of the other teams
In the in the east
And so I've in along with that
The heat have been rising up
Yeah I think
Beesol say he'd be shocked
They won a championship
And I think I agree with him
I'll have these different words
I would definitely be surprised
As far as I won't predict it
But I can't be shocked
When you have Yonis and Bam
And the best coach in the league
Like it's always on the table.
It's a unlikely outcome to me, but it's likely enough that it's not shocking.
Yeah.
Like the Miami Heat winning, if they won next year, it wouldn't shock because I'm like,
you know, it's the player in peak of his prime with another all-star, another group of,
I think we still say it's in this piece.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Back in.
Or whatever.
He's still like one of the best players in the world.
And he has a sodcast guy like Tim Hardaway Jr.
Clay, Bam, Andrew Wiggins.
I think the Knicks winning this year was like genuinely shocking to me.
in the whole world.
That was more shocking.
See, but that got shocking because midseason,
but before the season,
people were picking them win the finals.
So, like, even that's not shocking.
The Pacers making the finals are shocking to me.
That's what shocking to me is a team
that we had no business
put in another conversation.
Both of those things shocking me, yeah.
Yeah, like, patience,
that's the type of thing
that I find shocking.
I don't think a heat run
would be nearly as surprising as that.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think the most shocking thing
would just be like,
damn, I'm surprised at all.
It came together this quickly.
Yeah.
The magic making the finals would be shocking.
That's the type of thing
that has been shocking.
It never quite happens.
but if it would it's shocking
all right
like that's honestly
that's just as likely
as the Patriot's doing it
preseason like we did not see that
I think it's more unlikely
I think we might have ranked
whatever
I'm kind of stuck on the heat
just being like a second round exit
like anything more
anything less I'm surprised
that's just a Celticator
I think I agree
I think I disagree
if they met to the conference finals
I'd be surprised
I think the East is very
I think the East has a lot of good teams
and the East is very wide open
and so if Miami made the conference finals
I wouldn't be shocked
if they made it there
me neither but would be surprised
I think I agree
with you in essence, but I'm leaving my heart open for them and surprise me.
Yeah.
Next one.
DeAndre Aton to Walker Kessler.
That shit's objectively solid upgrade.
Perfect in the middle.
Yeah, literally.
Like, you know what he's going to do every day.
You can win a chip now.
I think people are underrating that difference there of the rim protection.
It's massive.
Offensively, it's probably not massive.
But defensively, especially with what they need from that position with a Luca
Donch's lead team and Austin Rees being his co-star, people are definitely sleeping on the defense.
He doesn't even have to be Rudy Gaubert.
like people hope.
They're sleeping on the difference
in just ability to hide for others.
I just don't,
I just don't think you can,
you can win a chip
with a guy like Ait and being
one of the three best players
on your team.
When the fuck was he won the three best players?
One of the five best players.
Or,
let's suspend it.
Yeah.
That's fit starter.
Yeah.
But like,
I like shit,
whatever.
That was crazy.
Fine, whatever.
It's right.
You got it.
But I just,
he's not a,
there's a lot of players
that like we give this moniker
or two, he actually is an embodiment of somebody who's not a winning player.
And I think that getting Walker Kessler gets an actual center in the building and get somebody
that you don't have to micromanage on a night-to-night basis on not only are you doing
the correct things in the game, but effort level from, you know, month-to-month night-to-night.
And I think that they have a legitimate chance to, like if Luca comes out and it has, you know,
one of those seasons and has the MVP year that we've all been asking for for the last, you know, five years.
If you, if you get that combination, Reeves has ascended to a certain place, you're getting 50 every
night from a back court and then Walker Hessler holding it down. That's awesome. 55. Yeah.
That's meaningfully different too. Like, that's a lot. Yeah. If assuming it's 30 and 35,
30 and 25, which it could be higher. Luca could be at 33 and Austin reviews at 27. Yeah.
It could be crazy. Yeah, you could be pushing 60 from your back court. But I'm assuming, let's say 55.
So dumb. That is a crazy strength. And now I will say putting bias aside.
Maybe if I was a different fan, maybe I'd want to say risky, but I feel good about it.
Just because it really is their all-in move.
Two firsts, two swaps.
They only have one swap left in a couple seconds.
So for this coming year, before picks start to replenish,
for this cycle of 12 months, this is your big move.
You're not going to have a crazy deadline acquisition.
This has to work.
And he did get hurt last year when we played five games.
We assumed he would have made a darn type leap.
He was clearly like being meaningfully better in those five games.
It is five games.
It is your only move.
He has to fix everything defensively since it's really a hard.
hard to form a defense with Luca and Reeves, he's the one answer there.
I could understand saying it's risky.
Yeah, I could too, but the only reason why I'm not ultimately is because you're coming
from Aiden, bro.
It's not risky.
Yeah, the combos with Aiden were like, value deal, $8 million, fit starter with all these
playmakers, he could be just good enough that with the right fit, he can be a surprisingly
slightly above average starter.
The Walker-Kessor combos is like, can he be your third star?
Can we really, really get the most out of him?
And he can be a elite defender while averaging 14 points for game and stretching the floor.
It's just an entirely different realm of possibilities.
Yeah, that's why I think there's risk in everything you do if you want to live like that or whatever.
But ultimately, this is like a solid upgrade.
And I'm not going to even if Walker Castle gets hurt, God forbidding, like, it misses five months or whatever, I'm still going to feel good about this.
Yeah.
When I was being a blind optimism for Aiden, I was like, 17th best center in the league.
Let's get to it.
Walker, I can be like, you know, end the year at seven.
Like, climb the fucking ranks.
Like, we can get to being top 10.
So, yeah.
The risk is definitely there.
but it is an objectively solid upgrade.
Okay.
Paul George to Jalen Brown for the Sixers.
You got worse.
You did not get worse.
For the Celtics?
No, no.
No, for the Sixers.
Oh, okay.
I'm talking about to say.
Hey, man, let's five.
I thought I was a hater.
I came up with hot takes today, okay?
Isn't it that risky?
Not really?
No, no risk.
Just objectively solid upgrade?
Yeah, just objectively solid upgrade, for sure.
But I don't think you can win a chip now based on this move.
actually I think you could
I think if you gave it to the heat
we gotta give it to them too
because they can they're within tracking distance
the only reason I say that is obviously
LeBron's coming up and I feel like that's the one you can win a chip now
because there's one more piece
LeBron's here too yeah okay so yeah I think
the LeBron thing yeah that's true I like
I like how you frame that because when Jeline
got there first you're like okay cool like that's
mad interesting we're still not gonna put you as like
an upper echelon contender
in the Eastern Conference yeah just because of the Joe L&B
as your second best player or third best player
wherever he falls in that the injury stuff
is so scary that I don't think that move along
getting Jaylon Brown makes it so they're a title contender.
But we can skip ahead. I think we put Jaylon
Brown and saw the objectively good upgrade
and then LeBron James from
Kelly Ubrey until you can win a chip now
because getting him for nothing puts them over the top
to being clearly more talented enough that they could
be if everything clicks for them
the best team in the East. Yeah.
The only thing that's like tough for me when it comes
to thinking about them as the best team of the East
and maybe even winning a championship is
their backup center position
Like the holding beat stuff is
Everyone's made
That's a whole thing within itself
But who's their backup C is like
Nick Rick is Nick Richards there I think
You got you just signed with somebody else
I forget
Oh Bonas think is their backup center still
Huck Porti's there now
That's tough
I think it's a boy
It's Bona
DEM Bona
Yeah
Is Bona and Huck
And they have Barlow to do some small ball center stuff
Big Ford
Okay yeah
I wish that was like
A little bit better or more
Or stronger but
KCP is there now
You got Anthony Simons
You can at least like shoot the
Shoot the shit out
of the ball.
And Phylon Jr.
They just have bucket getters
off the bench.
Yeah.
Dean Wade and KCP
at the bench
and bring it together.
I forget Dean Wade is here.
They got a lot of pieces,
bro.
You're right.
They need one more center
hopefully and hopefully
I don't know
their picked situation.
Hopefully they can acquire
one at the deadline.
Championship or busts, man?
Championship.
They clearly are so talented
that you have to say
they can win a championship.
Yeah.
I don't know that I'm not going
to pick them over with the Knicks
to come out the east right away
and we'll see how I feel
about some other teams
in the conference.
But they're clearly
close enough.
If we're given,
heat close enough. The six are close enough.
Yeah. They're much closer than heat are.
Are we for sure, for sure.
Are we trying to trade on that on
Polymarket or?
Oh, yeah.
Make sure.
Are we trying to lock it in?
Get out of my face.
Yeah, fucking LeBron.
Oh, man.
What a tacky ass brand deal.
I hope, hopefully people understand you're joking before we get fucking.
What a thing?
Yeah.
That shit was so fucking tacky.
We got basketball on Pauly Market.
Mr. Basketball.
Yuck.
The goat.
Bro, him going into the elevator and pressing sports was like...
I didn't watch.
That's what happened?
Yeah.
Oh, brother.
And it takes them all the way up there and then he walks in and...
Oh, I saw the screenshot of all the buttons.
Is it like crypto finance sports?
What the fuck?
Yeah.
The elevator of everything that you can trade on Polly Market.
Jack made a good point.
I saw him say on TikTok that he believes that only reasons
LeBron isn't shack level of my faces on everything,
it's because he understands brand saturation,
and it would be bad for the brand too much
because he has a modern marketing mind.
Jack is completely right.
LeBron would stamp his fucking face on everything
if it was smart, but it wouldn't be
because then it would be too much.
This was a sign that LeBron will do anything for money.
We honestly should have seen this coming,
because even before the Yonest stuff in Kashi came out,
I mean, LeBron's been, the moment the league started to have,
like gambling be like really in there he's been in idea he'd been he'd been on draft kings for years now yeah
oh no I think if you'd ask me I would have saw this coming like this is a not shocking yeah and I was
it really wasn't shocking at all to me personally it was like oh yeah there we are yeah
figure check that box here we go so yeah he's locked in and they're locked in the championship
robust and I guess you can bet it on polymarket I fucking guess if you're so inclined
I would not be betting on those six years on any platform save your life yeah I would not be
betting on the six years
and I wouldn't be using Polymark at all
Next one
Max Drews to Payton Watson
Oh man I think you're mad regular
Hey man literally nothing changes
Nothing?
They've been a wing away though
From being good
To be fair
I know we're all anti-cabs
Because they're lame and when I was sad
To be fair
They were in the conference championship
And they got a wing upgrade
Of a young player
That we feel decent about
Two things
One once again
Completely misread this
And as soon as I heard Max Struz
I was like
Oh Cliffordes
Yeah, nothing matters.
You would miss reading, bro.
The cavaliers, a new starting three is Payton Watson.
They sent out stuff, essentially Max Trues.
I actually think objectively solid upgrade.
I think that Maxx, I think that Maxx,
especially for a lot of series and games,
as a shooter and as somebody like where that is his job,
I think he's actually...
He's streaky.
I think he's fairly inconsistent.
Well, he's also been hurt.
I think it's the main problem there.
It's been, this year.
year, but also even if you go and look at the Miami runs, those numbers are not consistently like,
oh, wow, this is like our shooter. I think he's always been a very, like, his highs are very high,
but I think that he can, he's not, he's not there. Definitely. So I think adding a different element
in, in your roster, and when you have, when you have Jared Allen, who is, like, athletic and you have
Moby, who's still super young, but you have James Hardin, who's old as hell, you have D. Mitch that,
he's not he's not washed but i don't think he's at the peak of his powers he turned 30 today
yeah today's his birthday yeah yeah adding adding you always know we're just on instagram man popped
up the first thing i'm at my he's tapped it's fine you're always tapped him you don't be ashamed
of it you oh you know what that's honestly a very good skills known when people's birthday yeah you're
nowhere i don't know anybody's birthday i forget friends birthdays mom i always tab them with you man oh today's
my brother's birthday too once forgot okay yeah but that's the first thing it's yeah but that's
It's not a word of being in nowhere.
Has it a called?
I just said it takes at all.
But that is part of me in nowhere.
Drawing directions, recognizing patterns.
That's how you become a manor.
Yeah, yeah.
Sure.
Put a comment at 9 PMR Instagram.
Caking candles, brother.
Twins.
Yeah.
It's a good move, though.
It's a good move for them.
I mean, I guess the risk could be that he's not worth
that much money because he had that one stretch where things really clicked
in our view of him as a problem.
almosting player came together because of three weeks of him just being a really good
play finisher off of Yokic.
I guess it's a world in which that's a fluke and he's not quite worth the investment
and it's a Christian Brown situation.
But who are the other guys that they've had in that spot?
DeAndre Hunter, Max Trues, Isaac Okoro.
He's better than all of them.
Well, there's a chance he's not.
Theory he is.
I think even, I think Peyton Watson as is right now is better than Deandre Hunter.
I think that he's better than O'Coro.
I agree.
I think the Struce thing is like debatable maybe.
But even then he's still.
He's a way better different than Shrews.
He's still,
he's still wild athletic.
And I think that that in itself helps and it allows you to play a certain way
if you want to stagger lineups differently.
And it gives those those things a different, a different look.
And like one of the, they were, they were very, very, they looked old last year,
which is weird because they made the conference finals.
And like, but you look at the way.
that they went out and they were closing games with no with no energy they weren't running like
there was a lot of things where I think that having a young athletic wing can help yeah uh insert some
energy into that line yeah overall at first I was thinking like this is risky I do feel good about
it because you did get a little younger with this and he is a good player and he's someone who
regardless of what you decide to do with your roster he can like maintain and stabilize that
three spot for a good amount of time yeah now what it's yeah yeah
Exactly. Now, when it comes to the ceiling, I don't know. That's when I start to get, like, risky talk because there's so much that he hasn't proved fully in his game yet. But overall, objectively, you got better at the end of the day.
I'm just worried that there's a world in which he's nothing special. And that there was a, not Linsani wrong, he wasn't doing nothing crazy. But like that was a best case scenario at least click for a month. Would you say, right now he's better than so-and-so? During that month, he was better. Then he got hurt and missed time. I don't know that I have a solidified view of how good he really is for a whole season.
Yeah.
Maybe I'm just not the biggest
Max Drews guy
where I'm just immediately saying
that Watson's better.
Yeah, and I'm not the biggest
Max Drews guy either.
I'm just scared that maybe
there's a world
in which is a paid and Watson thing
was a house of cards
and we're like,
oof.
I think that that could be true
and you still might get better
and you're still better.
Sure.
They only have so many swings.
So I'm saying maybe
there's some risk involved
that like when you have
expensive ass D. Mitch
and you gave James Hard and money
until he's 40,
you only have so many $22 million
contracts to hand out.
So it's just, oof.
Jared Allen.
Maybe we got to trade Jared Allen because we signed Peyton Watson didn't work.
You've been talking about trading Jared Allen for years.
But if I got a trade because I got a dump money because Payton Watson didn't work, it's a fucking disaster.
Also, I think we've also seen the way that the offense runs.
You probably need to be pushed into doing that so that you can finally.
If you come to the decision that Moby has to play the five so that we can unlock our team to the fullest extent, I'm sorry, Jared.
You're getting back door.
Like you're getting traded.
Brandon Ingram being upgraded to Kauai Leonard
Oh, that's huge
You can get the chip now
Can they?
I think they're really good
Can they win a chip with Ingram
I mean my bet with Kauai and Scotty Barnes
And no
Amazing League Guard
I mean quickly's good enough maybe
Do you feel like
With Yaka Pertil there at the center
That contracts on the books
I think it puts them in the same tier
As the heat where you are now in striking distance
And you can go do something for real
And
The same way that we talked about Randall
and his playoff front, I don't think we can overstate how detrimental
Brandon Ingram was to the Raptors last year in the playoffs
and how bad he truly was.
And to go from him to Kauai, amen.
That's a seismic leap.
Amen.
That's, that's, that's, the version of B.I that we got in the playoffs to Kauai is about
the same, if not more from, it's probably, it's more than Tyler Hero de Yonis.
Oh yeah, I'd rather that Tyler here than Bia by a healthy margin.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I think they're in that tier.
I don't know if like when a chip now was like so, such strong.
So maybe we should drop the heat down if we're basing a lot of these things on them.
But I think that they are, they can be in the, if they're better than Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, it wouldn't, it wouldn't shock me.
I think it would shock me a little bit.
It would shock me a little bit.
Only because of the pieces around them.
Then Detroit?
Not Detroit.
No, just Cleveland.
These comparisons don't matter.
because it's about beating one team of the east
and a couple in the west.
The comparison to their peers
that also aren't touching shit,
don't matter,
it's just like,
can this team win four playoff rounds?
I feel like they're one piece away,
that being another playmaker,
but, you know,
this trait puts you one piece away
and that piece is pretty like,
I can imagine them getting that piece.
Currently constructed,
they can get to the conference finals.
Yeah, they could.
Yeah, I don't have any reason to disagree with that.
I'm pretty high on them.
They could.
We can put in there, why not?
Fuck it.
We're given expectations of everybody.
Everybody can win a chip this time of year.
Why not?
I think the East has made a lot of really good moves.
Yeah, a lot of good teams.
Royce O'Neill to Miles Bridges.
Rissal O'Neill plus Grayson Allen plus a first.
You got worse?
You got worse.
You got worse.
I think about the draft capital to give up
and how important that is
and how that could be used for a different move.
Fuck it, they got worse.
Like, who do they think Miles Bridges is, bro?
There's a 20 points per game.
Fuck.
Need that.
You add his 20 points.
with Dylan Brooks's 20 points
That's exactly when I was in the war room
Listen next thing no you got 80
Now we got double Luca
We're better than Luca by twice as much
We have three we have three 20 points scores
It's the same thing as having
Booker Bill Katie
Everybody can go out there and get a bucket
And whenever you're the sons
What you want to do is you want to replicate Booker Katie Bill
That's what you want to do every time
Yeah it honestly feels like they didn't learn shit at all
From that first girl
Because they looked at it they said
We were right in theory right
we just got the wrong players.
But having a bunch of guys who can score,
that's what we need on our team.
But we need worse versions of those guys, though.
Oh, naturally, naturally.
See, you think they're worse.
We're getting good value on them.
Next up, Isaac O'Coro
turning into Norman Powell.
Now, they kept Akoro, but Akoro's bench now.
They had a bunch of guards.
I guess it's like Colin Sexton's Russia's spot
being replaced, but Akora was a starting shooting guard
in the next year.
So we put him, but it doesn't matter.
Norman Powell is an upgrade
to the starting shooting guard of the Bulls.
Yo, I objectively feel solid about this upgrade.
Like, obviously they're not, like, sniffing a championship or whatever.
But in terms of what they need in order for to make their young players' lives easier,
that being Josh Kitty, of course, Kale Bullson and Modis, like, this is a great upgrade.
Yeah, it's either that or nothing changes because they're just the Bulls still.
Yeah.
It doesn't matter.
Yeah.
If it would be mean.
But I think it matters because it'll open up Modis Mottis Mazz's game a little bit even more
and also make Caleb Wilson's life so much easier.
I guess so.
they needed a shooter
yeah and so they can't be mad at it
yeah and they went out they got one
so Harrison Barnes turning into
Tobias Harris
I think this literally changes nothing
I think it's cool
it's a good move
I guess but if they're gonna win the championship
they're gonna do it regardless
yeah exactly
yeah it's not gonna be because of Tobin
yeah so I think it's a it's a fine move to get them
yeah I guess there's a well say this
even if they had Tobias Harris
instead of Harrison Barnes last year
they're still losing
yeah and I think next year
if they were going to win their room regardless.
But to be fair, I guess there's a world in which having a veteran shoot
out with her like a rebound and defense in fours
that can move a little better than Harrison Barnes
and can be more consistent than Kelton and Carter,
maybe that does come clutch in a playoff series.
Maybe I should say it's an important piece.
It's a solid upgrade, but it also changes nothing.
Yeah, it changes nothing.
If they win, it's solely because the other guy still.
Okay, so we'll acknowledge it's a good upgrade.
It was a solid move, but in the grand scheme of the title window
and title race, this won't be a deciding factor.
Yeah, because like, you didn't win a chip now.
Yeah, like, they're going to do it regardless.
Because, like, if they had Tobias Harris, they would have put him in, obviously, over Harrison.
You needed somebody who can make some shot in the last three minutes.
But if that ball's fine in Tobias Harris, for a majority of his career, I don't feel great about those situations.
So that's why it's hard for me to part.
The only thing is we were saying they really need to get a power forward.
We were like, we really need that.
So we don't have to have Champany who's like a shooting guard playing for.
Who's playing great.
But, like, damn, we got his ass banging on my.
the boards like we need another body down there to help wimby we were saying all that so i don't want to
be hypocritical now and act like like tobias harris isn't a good move so do you want to be positive and
say a solid upgrade or say it doesn't matter it is a solid upgrade we could move to that but
yeah i think we should because it does change something okay so bias Harris is better than harris
okay we're positive today everybody's being on the top of the tier list nobody's mid
josh ogey to mark you smart okay we exactly solid upgrade no no no matter no no man no man
I feel kind of risky about it.
You know what?
This is what the offseason is for.
Yeah.
Positiveity?
To be hopeful.
Objectively solid upgrade.
Why not?
Do it to them.
Do it to them.
Sick.
Sick, right.
Russell Westbrook to Darius A. Cuff.
You can win a chip now.
I'm just kidding.
We have some draft related ones.
We're all going to say good because they're draft pieces regardless.
I guess we ended here.
No, this is funny.
There you go.
Listen, a lot of teams got better this offseason.
So we don't feel bad about anybody's risk?
I feel bad about risk.
Oh, no, I skipped one.
Sorry.
Jeremy Grant to John Morant.
Oh, literally changes nothing.
Yeah, I think that changes nothing.
I don't think anything matters.
Is it not risky and you don't feel good about it?
It's not risky.
It's not?
Nah.
I think it's risky, but I do feel good.
What's the risk?
What's the argument for risk?
What's the argument for risk?
You have too many guards and shit implodes.
Well, Shaden's hurt now.
Okay.
And so there's more
There's more space.
I would say only, only risky
because you're taking away more
opportunity from guys like Scoot.
And you have Damian Lillard, Drew Holliday.
Listen, it is, it's clunky.
You're being clunky for no reason.
Yeah, exactly.
Like, what's the point?
Yeah.
Why are you laughing?
What's the best case scenario here?
You have Damian Lillard.
So, like, as best case scenario, he's six, man.
I guess you trade Drew Holiday,
but you haven't expressed any need or interest in doing that.
I guess Scoot your backup shooting guard
and Jha and Denny are your lead ball handlers.
What's the upside here?
That's all fucking ridiculous.
Yeah.
The risk is you just did some bullshit for no reason
and now everybody loses because nobody gets enough touches
and you have a nightmare season from hell
with nothing to be reaped.
So you, okay.
The upside is you make Denny worse, you make Scoot worse,
you make Dane worse, you make Drew Holiday worse.
Why don't the job made Dany worse?
worse. I think the Achilles probably
made dayless. That's not what I mean. I just mean like everybody's
in a worst situation to succeed now.
So you would say risky
and you don't feel good. Personally, yes.
Yeah. Yeah. And I don't feel good because
even if like the feel good,
what is there to feel good? What can you like
reap off of that? And it definitely doesn't change nothing. It changes
fucking everything. The good team is objectively
very different now. This could like legitimately set
back your team potentially.
But it's also.
Damn.
You wasn't doing nothing. But see, it's also you didn't. It's not like
you got worse because it could work.
risky means it could go good or it could go bad, we don't know.
And this tier means we're on the slightly negative side.
But there is an upside where they just, all those names don't matter
because Jaws back to being Jha and they have a franchise point guard.
Whatever the percentage is, however small it is, that's in the air.
They could be grasping for that.
And good for them, I guess.
The downside is everybody is awkwardly placed on the roster now because of this.
Yeah.
And I don't love that calculus.
Just to cast of misfits, bro.
Unless you go over to some other people.
Like trade drew a holiday and sell high and get some picks.
I sure you chase coup?
I don't know.
I don't know what else I would do
but I would do something else
and not have five guards
to need the ball in their hands.
Scoops is there, man.
Yeah, I wouldn't trade school.
He had some flashes, I guess.
But like Drew Holiday should be super traded by now
if you're gonna do this.
Oh, he will be.
Yeah, probably a deadline.
How much he make?
35.
That's too much for it.
That's too much.
I think he does make a lot of money, bro.
He does.
They cashed him for some miles.
No, it's not miles.
We already established.
He says it's fro yo punch cards.
He's making $34 million this year.
Yeah.
What is that worth in Roblox dollars, man?
Roblox.
Roblox, man.
You get it for some VC?
We got a difference.
$34 American dollars?
That's way too much.
American dollars?
That's too much.
They're pandettaccent rupees.
I got a couple more dollars for you.
I don't know I gave it to you.
No, you took it back.
No, you took it.
Naturally.
I swear.
I need that.
No, I swear.
We could run back to foot.
Did you have it?
You took it back after?
No, I did not.
Yes, he did.
No.
I don't have it.
Bro.
No way.
I took it back after?
He scabber for the camera?
I was like,
I said give it to me.
No, you took it back.
No, I did not.
After you put it back in your wallet.
Bro, I don't have that shit in my wallet.
You're lying to me.
you have it at your crib
I promise
I promise I don't
okay
last thing we're going to do today
before we get out of here
we are going to play
the NBA imposter game
we're going to do three rounds of it
Andre is texting us all a name
three of us will get the name sent to us
one of us will get imposter sent to us
and we'll take turns
saying vague descriptions of the player
until we can figure out who the imposter is
sick I love this game
careful at it
I'm so good at it
Yeah, we'll let you go first
We'll go you to rotate around Donovan, Mo, me
First text should be on the way, everybody get it
Okay, so who's the NBA imposter, B, soul as you start
I just guess who it is
Motherfuck, yeah
You
Uh, mo
You do you
No, he's got to go first, that's hilarious
Alright, first description
He's tall
Okay, sick
black
black
man
okay
I'm gonna say
let's see all the stereotypes
nice shoes
athletic
there we go
they got them all
yeah
oh
oh
you oh
you get here
he's boss
who lobomized him
I'm gonna say I'm gonna say
Star
Star
Yeah
Okay
Hard worker
Hmm
My shoes
Star hard worker
Okay
I'm gonna say
Popular
Markitable
I guess it's kind of similar
Popular
So we just start
not every
is marketable
some of these motherfuckers
you don't want to put their face
on products
um
say good looking
so you're on
um
is that your type
I don't know about that
it's just you know
there's some objectivity
in my words
okay
you respect this game
yeah
yeah
yeah
game recognized game
type
yeah
yeah
Okay, okay.
In what sense?
In what sense?
He'd be leading.
Leader of men?
Whatever.
He's a natural born leader.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
I'm gonna say, smart.
Good nickname.
Versatile.
Versatile?
Yeah.
What did you say?
It's smart.
Smart.
You think it be good at some school tests?
Maybe not that necessarily.
You don't have to be school smart to be smart.
Smart where it matters.
Yeah.
I will say, I'll say passionate.
Street smart.
It could be street smart too.
What did you say?
Passionate.
Passionate.
Did you ever say something like that?
No.
Oh, you said hardworking.
That's right.
Okay.
Passionate.
I'm going to say funny.
He's funny.
Is he?
Yeah.
Funny guy, I think.
I was thinking, I just completely lost my turn at thought because I was thinking
when what you said.
I sat here, I didn't think about anything else.
I was just looking at you.
Were you actually just like?
I just don't know.
I was just staring at you.
And I realized this might turn of talk.
And there was no thoughts.
We actually like running it back.
Like, is he actually funny?
Yeah.
I was thinking.
I was like, do I think he's funny?
I think he's lying?
Uh, high pick.
Try hard.
somebody said hard working already
he said hard working
he said hard working
he said try hard
doesn't bode well for you
I think those are two different
things
you can be hard working
but being a try hard
that's something else man
you're right
that is different
you know what fair
I'll give it to you
we'll give it to you
we'll give it
you take you out the dungeon
I will say
disappointing
I was going to say the same thing
What?
That's a fair word.
Not going to lie, I think I smell an imposter right now.
I do too.
Yeah, I got it.
But we'll see.
I do too.
I'm going to say money spreads.
He's paid?
Unlimited money spreads.
Twitter controversy.
I think I got it.
Am I tripping?
I feel like I know who it is now.
You want to vote?
I don't think you're tripping.
Yeah, let's vote.
Who you vote on?
I think it's you, buddy.
I think it's you
You agree
I think it is you
You don't know shit
Is this Russell Westbrook
Oh
No not Russ
You know
You said nice shoes
I'm like his shoes are hideous
I thought maybe you just have bad taste
No
Who was it?
Yonis
Ah
Yeah
Yonis is smart
Sure
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know who we're talking about
I'm just talking
When you say
You say a high pick
And I gave it away
Yeah
Yeah that was it
I was gonna say a lottery pick
that's what I really meant
I didn't give it away but
Oh no he's was he 13th or 15th?
He was 14th I think yeah
Okay so if I just said lottery pick
I would got it
Yeah
That's really what I meant
I just like said a different word
Fuck
Okay
Game number two
Names are being sent out
You guys should have it in your text
Okay
Once again Beasolson go first
Okay
Reckless
Mm
Um
Tall
Yeah
Got it
I'm going to say goofy
Can't take him nowhere
That's your thing
Yeah
You can't take him nowhere
That's your description, okay
Okay
Uter
He's a Uter
Pack it up
Um
You can go on that
Go
Say black
I'm a
Sable
It's always
Hell reliable
Okay
So that's a little
Inside zone
Two-yard gain
Literally
You gotta make
A perspective
Positive yardage
I can refute it
Three and a half of carry
When I boot out of it
Now what
You can't go broke
Taking positive games
And that's why I appreciate
Kareem Hunt
Man
Exactly
Okay
Um, I'm gonna say good pastor.
Good pastor.
Okay.
I'm gonna, this is a hard one because I don't want to give it away.
So this is a real easy one to tell the imposter who it is by accent.
I'm gonna say, no is a moving company.
Okay.
Viral.
What the fuck?
I swallowed my son's wrong.
I gather myself.
The word I said was viral.
Viral.
Oh, I said, fireable.
It's a fire.
Viral, okay.
I'll say vibrant.
In what sense?
Vibrant.
In the general?
The general.
What is he?
What is she talking about?
General?
Why am I the only one that has to explain?
I feel like twice a game, I say something.
It's like, what do you mean?
What do you mean by that?
Just say the word to keep it moving.
It's an interrogation every time.
We're just trying to make sure you like the possible.
I know.
No, just play the game.
It's a part of the game.
Say it's a way to move on.
Went to you a little bit.
You're worried about me.
You forgot to say a word.
We're afraid by yourself.
I was a imposter.
I'm going to say haircut.
Nice haircut.
The channel.
Okay.
I'll say a new haircut.
Did someone already say tats?
No.
Tats.
All right.
Well, it's not him.
Um
Dominoes
What the fuck
What does that mean
Say one more word
I'm between these two guys right now
Said dominoes
I'm between these two guys
I'm ready to vote after you say one more word
I'm gonna say
Interesting facial hair
Now I don't know between these two guys
Because I was too vague
Do you feel good?
I feel good
At this point
Yeah
Okay I'm ready to vote
I don't know what the fuck
Donovan meant, but it's so specific, maybe it's right.
I'm going to vote Mo.
Oh, I'm voting Donovan.
I'm voting, Mo.
I don't know what the fuck that last one meant, but maybe I just don't know.
That's a deep cut.
You do have to know what that is.
You're going to have to explain yourself, too.
I don't think it's you.
No, one more round?
You go more?
One more.
Off the rip.
Okay, I'll go on more on.
Blue.
Talley.
Don't give the player away.
Um
International
International
International
Okay
person on you
You better tell me
It's not you
It's not me
I need to hear it
It's not me
I don't believe you yet
You don't
You're throwing in a sign language
It's not me
Okay
I'm gonna say
Mixed
I changed my vote
They're both playing so safe
I can't tell
What it's like
Okay I'm gonna say
I'm gonna think he was trying to guess Jimmy Butler
when he said Domino's.
It's Donovan.
That last answer for Mo really sucks me.
I don't know.
That was so vague.
What?
International?
No, I'm talking about Mo.
Mo's saying,
I know.
Mixed.
Yeah, it's a little,
he threw a fucking hell of Harry.
Are they throwing this off?
You think it's one of them?
Yeah.
You think it's one of them?
Yeah, they're trying to play the game.
Yeah.
You know what?
Just off for that move right there, I'm voting Donovan.
Donovan?
Yeah.
Nah, I think it's B.
Oh, we got a mixed vote.
Dominos' most votes.
Are you the imposter?
No, it's not me.
Fuck, it was Mo.
It was me.
Idiots.
I knew it.
What does Domino's mean?
He was out on his Puma tour playing Dominoes in the streets.
Oh, true, true.
I don't know that one.
Oh, I should have won my guts.
Y'all gave it way too much.
You know who was?
And now I know exactly who this player is.
Well, did you know because he just at Puma or did you know?
I already knew.
Okay.
I already knew.
You all gave way too much.
Tattoos funny.
Callie.
Come on now, man.
This is Lamello.
He gave the player away single-handedly.
Come on, man.
This is too easy.
Tats and Cali, come on.
It's too easy.
Damn, I would.
International?
He's in Cali.
He's been international.
He was in Lithuania.
True.
You know?
Yeah.
He's been out here.
He was playing in Australia.
You can be too vague with their answers.
You can be.
That's a goal.
I'm not, I'm trying not to give it away.
And also the Domino's, if you knew, like, that was a very specific thing.
Yeah.
I just didn't know that.
And a Puma ad, that he said?
On just his, like, campaign tour.
Okay.
Yeah, see you, I went with you, take a bad guess, whereas he was just saying nonsense.
Vibrant.
That's right.
All right.
All right. Jane number three, B souls, take us away.
Oh.
Athletic.
Okay.
That motherfucker did not sound confident.
athletic
he's doing a school spelling bee
I know
the moms are you scared
um
athletic
affirmative
uh
we go fade
fade
fade
see he's not the inside zone
it's outside zone
okay
okay
okay
I'm gonna say
disrespected
All right
Modern
Okay
I'm gonna say
Start
You don't know shit
Never mind
I apologize
Really?
Me?
That didn't make sense?
After modern
Originally
I think modern
Makes a lot of sense
What do you mean?
Nah
We got you buddy
What can we
We need a couple of chances
Of
one is back
Real is back in.
Well, I'll say,
I'm gonna fuck up.
Take a me.
Strong.
Y'all go fuck up.
I'm gonna say meme.
Meme?
Yep.
He's been memed out.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Strong-willed.
Hilarious.
He's strong and strong-willed?
Oh, you said strong?
Yeah.
Well, yeah, physically and strong.
I think it's actually correct.
Actually correct.
He is both.
What the fuck you just say?
Hilarious.
He's hilarious.
We got him.
You find him hilarious.
Yeah.
We got him.
You laughing him.
All the time.
We got him.
You know what?
Maybe you do.
That actually is fair.
Yeah.
One more go.
He don't, bro.
But yeah.
Um, I will say,
um,
fraud.
Fraud?
What?
I'm looking at you sideways
What side are you on by that?
Maybe he just believes that
Maybe he's not high
I don't know
I want to get it off
I can't be mad at that
So be it
Everyone wasn't tired of their opinion
I'm gonna say
Winner
Okay
I'm say fucking hater
Hmm
Hmm
I'm gonna say
Champion
After winner
Yeah
That was real bold of you
Oh
Respect your game
Hell yeah.
Take the wins where you can get them.
Okay.
Anyway, Beasel as the imposter.
As hell.
You've never been more guilty in your entire life, bro.
You're the most guilty like a human ever, bro.
The second thing you said.
No, the first thing you said, you said,
uh-hletic?
I'll let that slide.
I let that slide.
Because I figured that you were trying out, like, a new strategy.
You were trying to see if you could be vague.
But the moment you said, star, the way you said it, it gave it away.
He cannot set foot into an interrogation room.
You know the players?
I actually don't.
Athletic winner.
I say he's a hate her.
You have a free guess.
You can win.
Jalen Brown?
What the fuck?
Yes.
Hey!
Does that mean I win?
Yes.
Hey!
He did it.
He showed that bitch on 30.
Fuck.
Wow.
What gave it away?
Fraud.
Do you know why I said that, though?
I said it more for the hair.
line.
When you did say fade, I was thinking
Gailen Brown for some reason.
Yeah, really?
I also said fade as another way
to say black.
What?
But white guys get fade in the NBA too.
That's what I say, outside zone.
But I, you know.
I try to talk about the hatred.
You think fade majority
with black hair.
Okay.
There's a report Rikings in the NBA, so sure.
But there's one.
Yeah.
You don't got a fade, though.
Yeah, he does.
Does he have fade us at the breeze?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
But not like a fade.
Like your haircut.
No.
All right.
There you go.
Congrats.
We're still here.
Let us know what you think about Beasol's imposter game.
I will see you on Thursday for the next full episode.
I should strong, man.
