So many NBA stars change teams this summer.
We talked about it for weeks.
That means lots of new duos to put into a tier list.
And today we're going to put every single NBA team's star, quote unquote, for some teams,
duo into a tier list.
Mo, where do you feel like your team star duo ranks?
Honestly, I'm just ranking Jalen Johnson, bro.
It doesn't matter.
Honestly, I thought to myself, who the hell is like Jalen Johnson's co-star?
C.J. McCollum, Kiel Alexander Walker, Dyson, Anya, Hedka,
Hell not.
It's all just to Jalen Johnson ranking, honestly.
You don't even know who I put?
It doesn't matter, honestly.
I'm not surprised you.
So yeah, some of these teams, the star duos are obvious.
We know who they are.
Some of them have made some judgment calls.
So maybe you guys will disagree with who I put on here.
We can talk about that.
We can change it potentially.
But every team, their best two players,
or at least the ones that best embody a star duo,
we can debate some role players versus shitty stars.
We'll get to that point.
But 30 duos into a tier list, S through F,
Let's rank
Let's do it
Q
The intro music
We're throwing it back
Whoa
That's crazy
He was bragging
I hope you just said
The cranium is crazy
Oh my god
Crowd Eaters rejoice
All right B souls
Where are we starting first
Who was the first duo on that list
First duo on this list
Are my guys
Tatum and Paul George
Oh.
Yuck.
That's the first time you said that.
That sounds weird, man.
Is that the first time you ever call Paul George your guy?
Yeah.
Nice.
Try it on for size.
Say it again.
Paul George.
You're my guy.
You feel good?
You should feel grapinson.
That's just the house 13.
She should feel great.
You know, I think you should feel good about it.
I do think this is a very good duo that compliments each other well.
Assuming Tatum comes back well from Achilles, which I keep saying that all summer,
that he's going to look a little bit better next year.
And it's assuming he's ready to be the high-usage guy without Jaylin Graham for the first time.
I'm assuming that.
Is it safe that we assume that?
Yeah, I think so.
I think that's very fair,
considering how we could see clearly
how much better he was
from the start of his return
towards the very end of the season
and how he played pretty well
in that playoff series.
Of course, like it wasn't the best basketball,
which is why they got bouncing.
He wasn't even there.
But I think after a whole summer
of like straight up his recovery
and preparing for this upcoming season
and the big-ass low destiny
to be put on to him,
I think I expected.
Yeah
Stop looking at me, man
I'm just saying
I can't talk at all right
You've been kind of wild
In this morning
We got to look at you
You're lieutenant load
What the fuck
Like you think you don't
Your lieutenant load
You act like you don't know this
About yourself
Wow
You are the official judge
Where I have to look over
And make sure like
Yeah like am I
Am I doing too much
At some point though
If you look too much at me
And I'm not even thinking about it
you become lieutenant low again okay you can be lieutenant low he might be professor pause but
you're lieutenant load hell yeah i'd actually much rather be professor pauc than lieutenant
that's fine he's mr meat so you can kind of oh i'm not mr meat no no no no he's their own
what are you then i'm the king of cream that's all right you're right right he is the king of cream
he early a colonel cream something of the sort uh yeah okay so if we're assuming we all feel good about
jason taitam bouncing back and being the first team all NBA level player he once was for the
first time handling all the scoring load.
All is dramatic given the system.
But, you know, the bulk of the go-to scoring load, latent games without Jalen Brown.
I do like Paul George as a compliment there.
At this point of his career, he's a high-end role player, but like the highest end.
I do like that compliment and how they can bring the best side of each other.
Too tall, lengthy wing defenders.
Paul George, still a great defensive disruptor.
Still a great shooter, smart player.
I'm leaning A, maybe?
I really don't know what to expect out of Paul George, because last season was
super weird and all those things that you said was true he was a high level role player but it looked
very different from we saw the year prior in philly and maybe like this is just a bounce back year and
this is who he should be at this stage of his career but i honestly am kind of puzzled because
how with how good he was in philly the load was a i would say probably a little lighter than
what he might be expected to do from a creation standpoint over here in boston really yeah they do so
you know they have derrick white who we're hoping bounces back even if he doesn't bounce back
shooting-wise, he's still going to handle a good amount of playmaking as a guard,
Peyton Pritchard.
This system is going to do a lot of swinging around, shooting many threes.
We know how they play.
I don't think they're going to ask him to be out here running a lot of pick and roll necessarily.
No, not really.
But I think A is way too high.
Too high.
Okay.
I probably is, you're right.
I struggle with the first one all the time because I have no frame of reference.
Yeah.
I immediately said that I'm like, maybe we should start B just to be safe.
Because also, I think there's a different aside, I think for this duo of tier list and maybe
going forward, we should save S for the guys that are like one of the best duels of all time.
Can this duo can drag a team to a championship?
Not just like the best in the league because maybe there is no all-time duo right now.
So that is the case.
You're probably right.
Maybe C if you guys want to be low.
I'm going to go see because I think Tatum's, he's going to walk into the league and still be a top 10 player in the world.
And I think if you're a top 10 player, Lucy, maybe it could change.
But no, you're not going to be C at all.
Well, this is, well, I would, I would have a mad C just because I, I, I would have a mad C just because I, I,
think that I think Paul George is good, but I also think that in a, in a duo context,
I think he's replaceable. Like I think I think by the time we get to December, it wouldn't be
shocking if the two best players, if we were in December and the two best players on the Celtics
are Tatum and Derek White, would you be shocked? No, but to that point, I think I get what you
feel that way. And I think part of that is just the diminishment of Paul George. I think the
Derek White comparison is apt. And I think if we had Derek White on here and we had the feeling of
how we feel by Derek White, of this elite role player underrated, everybody at
those ball loves Derek White.
We're always in a high,
him up, say he's a top 12 point guard, whatever.
I think if this was Tatum and Derek White
coming off a good shooting year,
we'd probably say B.
I think that's the type of combo
we should have around Paul George.
He's that type of player.
Well, even for me who's like very, very high on Derek White,
I mean, the shooting last year,
it was what it was.
But if he had said,
what I'm saying,
if Derek White had shot 38% from 3
and was normal Derek White,
and I had Tatum and White here,
he'd probably say B, right?
Maybe, but also,
Derek White is going to give you minimum
20 games more than Paul
George is going to be. That's a fair design factor. And so just the availability of the of the actual
duo I think is higher with that with those two rather than Tatum and PG. So I would probably lean
be, but also like PG played well for a series and then completely fell off in the next series.
And, you know, after he came back from this suspension, I don't think that that's something that
we can bank on every single year that he's just going to get 25 games off.
where it's a restful 25 games,
not a rehabbing 25 games.
So I would start them at sea right now.
Wasn't he on pace to have a healthy season last year, though,
outside of the suspension?
Yeah, but he started playing better after the suspension.
So people just assume that the time off helped him,
which I get why we say that,
but that's not a given necessarily.
I feel we run with that as a certainty
because he did start playing better.
Maybe he would have started playing better
as he warmed up either way.
I don't want to hold that against him.
I feel like that's a talking point we have.
I don't want to disregard what he did after the suspension
just because,
you know like that's not like it's a certainty that that it directly caused it no but we've also
the years previously we've also had plenty of years where pardros is struggled to play a substantial
amount yeah for of of the season and so for somebody who is aging into his you know aging out of
the mid 30s into the into late 30s that 25 games off is very very meaningful so i i do i do see
where it could help him it is fair for sure i think that jimazulu is to get a lot
of Paul George. And I do think that the injury concerns are clearly valid. I still want to go
beat those. I think it's going to be one of the biggest surprises to people just because the stink
around Paul George's name is so loud to people because he's so diminished at this point. I do think
they're going to be surprised at how good this two duo is that I think when we get to midway through
next year, they'll perform just as good as some duos in A, but I won't go that far because it's not a
certainty. My vote is B. Yeah, I'll go B.
I'm going to see. I'm a vote in this. C's two mid of a duo. See's like really like, ah, like you're
just pairing anybody out there.
every team is on here.
That's, I think that's what it is.
There's going to be a good amount of bullshit-ass duos
that don't have a top-10 player.
We're going to see true C's.
Yes.
That's pretty much my feeling, too.
There's some real...
I did the duos.
There's some real C motherfuckers out of here.
All right.
Who's next?
Brandon Miller and Concanip will see.
That's a furrow C.
I ain't a lie.
It could be a D.
I mean...
You could tell me D and that's fine.
It's a D.
I mean, they're good players.
They're young, though.
I would need to see a Brandon Miller leap
for me to feel like this is
comfortably a duo that can like contend they're going to be a good team but not because there's
maybe maybe maybe they'll be a good offense I think but not because this duo is carrying that
I think there'll be an offense that's built around you know the sum of their parts that they have
good shooting all around the roster nozri comes in because a bigger role than before Kobe white
leading the driving kick game these two guys are shooters like I think it'll culminate in a good
offense I don't think as a duo these guys are out here carrying or anything yeah no I mean it's
it's tough because we haven't seen these two guys
We've seen them guys like these two guys play basketball at a head level together, of course,
but it looks so different when you have the mellow ball there versus when he's not there.
And I don't know what it'll look like without some who's wreaking as much habit as a mellow ball on the court.
I think I would probably argue you see because I think the talent will be there.
And with these two guys are the best players on your team,
like you're bound to just have rolling into successful offense because they're shooting ability alone
and how they can get off, get their shot off at each and every single level two.
But if you want to go D, that's fine because they are still like,
unproved to a degree.
Yeah, like you said, they haven't played together without Lamello.
And obviously, like, comes a rookie last year.
But like the ceiling or the floor for them,
I have no idea what the floor is even.
Like they, this duo might not lead a team to the playoffs this year.
And so I don't want to put them in C right now.
Yeah, last year they played 271 minutes without Lamello ball,
but both them on the court,
not a terribly substantial sample size.
that basically means they haven't played together
with that lamello ball
but in that 271 minutes for what it's worth
minus seven net rating
only 108.8.3 offensive rating
which for comparison
when lamello was on the court
with the duo and there's all three of them
133 offensive rating
which is fucking bonkers
for a single lineup.
Yeah we could put them in D
that's fine.
Now I do think that's not exactly
the talking point of like their lamello made
they're going to be that 108
is a little unfair because they're going to make adjustments
a lot of times when you see a star
have that type of swing
it's because they play a certain way with him on the court
and completely play differently without him.
They have a smart coach.
They're going to play differently now they know they don't have the mellow to start with
and they will be stronger without him.
But we got to see you first.
Yeah, I agree.
Like it wouldn't surprise me next year if you were like super duper projecting
like Brandon Miller takes a leap and he's due for whatever contract extension
that his draft class is due for.
And he ends up becoming a first time all start.
That wouldn't overly surprise me.
Yeah.
I think we should project on this list because we're in September.
We're basically doing season preview at this point.
But I don't feel confident enough to project that Brandon Miller
for sure going to be a star.
Yeah, that's too much.
I wouldn't go ahead and take that step.
Are we going into year three of like,
oh, this is the year that Brandon Miller's taking a leak?
Yeah.
And to be fair, now he has more opportunity
with a Lamella more need.
We'll see.
Yeah, we'll see.
Got one more.
Yeah, but I've never been the biggest,
I mean, I'm not out on Brennan Miller or low on him,
but I've never been the biggest, like,
assumeer of his star factor.
So he's cool.
Yeah, he's cool.
He's a good player, clearly.
But I'll need to see it before I'm like over the moon.
He's going to be a star.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next, let's go out west.
Anthony Edwards and La Mello Ball.
Hey, bro, hey.
We've been saying this has to happen.
This is a perfect duo.
Like, full stop, in terms of complimenting each other,
I don't know if it'll be a perfect team.
I don't know if they're the perfect pieces around these two guys
to make them the best version of whatever they could be.
But as a duo, one guy that can be your best player,
one guy that complements him, you can stagger them.
They can both carry bench units.
They can both close games, make each other better.
In a single play, they can both touch the ball and amplify each other.
To me, this is a perfect guard duo.
one guy is not good at, the other guy excels
at in pretty much every single factor
of the fucking Bassall Court, bro. This is A.
Yep. And again, I love
guard duos when literally you can have a bench
lineup out there with one of them at all times and feel
good about them leading offense.
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I'll
go with you guys. I don't really have anything
crazy to say. I think I'm
still like,
I'm cautiously optimistic. Like, I think
the wolves are going to be good, but
just because of the erratic nature
of just like a lamella ball,
I'm very interested to see how it goes, but obviously, like on paper, they do seem very complimentary to each other.
I'm also cautiously optimistic about the team, but as a duo, I'm caution to the fucking wind.
I'm berserkly, just time of a word.
I'm insanely optimistic.
No, make a word.
I'm berserkingly optimistic.
Especially like just pure talent wise, they are definitely in like top 10 of the league.
That first lob, Lamello, Anthony Edwards in the corner, cuts.
It's going to hit.
It's going to bang.
The TikTok
out is going to be outrageous.
I feel like they're going to have a dance together.
Prediction for the year.
They're going to have a signature dance.
The handshake is going to be crazy.
They're going to have a handshake.
The handshake's going to be crazy.
I think they're going to do campaign.
Russell Westbrook style.
Handshake into dance.
I think we're going to bring it back.
Okay.
There's going to be a dance in the handshake type.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next, I think this is going to be interesting, given it's 2026.
Steph Curry and Dramon Green.
Oof.
I don't know what to say.
You could tell me B, feel like this might be more of a C situation because I don't know where
Dremont is at at this current state of his career.
And then also Steph is older and he don't be out there as much anymore.
Is Steph certifiedably injury prone at this point?
I think so.
I think I think Steph is not going to, especially with the way that the team is set up and how
much they ask of him, he's going to get hurt.
And I think we've seen a couple different injuries from him over the last couple years.
So I would probably put them at sea because, you know,
and you know how the offseason hits
and then people start posting like three minute clips
of how somebody was moving like three, four years ago.
Yeah.
And like I saw a clip of Draymond in like 2018.
Yeah, bro.
That shit was great.
And it's like, yo, he's actually out here.
He's a threat.
Yeah, still like getting buckets driving to the rim.
And that's just not there in his game at all right now.
And so I think defensively, obviously,
Dremont is still really, really good.
But without the offense, without the night-to-night reliability of Steph, just being out there,
I don't think that they should be B.
I think that they're C right now.
I view, like, Tatum and Curry last year, of course, like, Tatum went through the whole Achilles thing.
And I feel like they're damn near similar talents in terms of how good you are at actual basketball.
That's fair.
So I view that as chalk.
But I think Paul George is so much better than Dremont right now at the same age.
So much better?
So much?
So much?
I can't go so much better just because the defense is still great.
But I do.
It's not crazy to say that.
Just because especially when Curry was out, the Dremont playmaking really is what made a difference last year.
He's a turnover machine.
Like you said, he's getting older, right?
It's hard to blow by guys.
And without Curry create those passing lanes quite as much.
He gets stopped a lot more and leads to live ball turnovers, which is a huge deal when your whole offensive game is built around being a high playmaker, being a insane turnover machine at times.
Yeah.
Pretty tough to win that calculus.
Yeah.
And when it's just, when it's just them too, like, even, even out West, the West is so competitive
and so people are moving up and down the standings.
But I don't see just a team of Stefan Dremont and being like, okay, I'm going to pencil
you guys in for the four seed.
Yeah, we need Jimmy to be part of that.
And like, ideally Jimmy is going to be the duo here.
Just because, like, at the Dremont's age, like, he would probably tell you, like,
it would be best for him to be behind Jimmy and Jimmy to be the clear second guy.
Be the way.
Exactly.
Like the other version, I don't know if there's a warrior's duo or any combination that you can put
together that would be B because the only other option is a guy who's 36 37 coming off of an ACL.
Yeah, but I'm saying if it didn't tear is ACL, then I would be like B, maybe A.
Like I think that would do-o could have been fantastic.
But here we are.
But the only thing I would say is do we feel like when they're on the court, they're still so dynamic, so complimentary and the complimentary nature that's always made them so great?
Because I still bring them just to B just because it's off of what you know they can do when everything goes right.
Hey, yes.
I think at their at their peak for sure.
And they showed.
Sometimes they're going to play like A.
Yeah.
You know, like when they're, when they're rolling, they're going to play like A.
Yeah.
And then there might be weeks where Curry goes on the heater, they play like S.
Now, up and down nature.
And that's why they're, I'm saying potentially B.
I'm not talking about A in any world.
Do they, do they deserve B off just what we know they can do?
If you want to give them B off of the ceiling, okay.
And what you know as them?
But what about them today, though?
Yeah, I mean, if they're healthy today.
I don't know.
I can't tell the future with the injuries.
But I know today they're probably going to perform around as good as Taylor.
and Paul George when they're healthy.
I think they're probably the only duo in the entire league that has this amount of grace.
And variants too.
Which will be fair.
I will give it to them to what you want to give him B.
Yeah, I feel like you might as well.
They're going to be insanely high variance because like when Curry misses time, it's going to fall apart.
But again, there's going to be a week in the season where they look vintage and it's going to be crazy.
Yeah.
And at least so far on this list and even, you know, like throughout the league, still there's
not a lot of duos that play with the synergy that these two.
two guys do in terms of actually being a duo.
And that matters.
And other people would just be in, you know, two guys who play together.
Yeah, exactly.
And I think we should definitely, that's also why I like the Tatum and Paul George duo.
We should definitely lean towards the guys that make each other better and play off each other and have that synergy.
Because not every duo is going to be like that at all.
Their edits are about to be crazy too.
Yeah.
I'm so here for it.
One last dance.
Yeah.
What are you talking about Tatum and Paul George?
Yeah.
Paul George isn't doing that these days as much.
No, no.
He was still doing it.
He just won't go anywhere.
He just don't go anywhere.
It was between the leg and between legs.
Exactly.
It's like Old Man Mello when he was like on the Lakers.
Occasionally get an elbow touch.
Wouldn't go anywhere.
Listen, I just need a week of Paul George.
You'll get a week.
Yeah, we're going to batch record some clips for you, man.
You'll get a couple weeks, I'm sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But okay.
Stefan Jermont at B.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next, we have Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving.
Okay, it's a fun one.
we're projecting.
I know they're going to be fun as fuck.
We all think Cooper Flag is going to be an all-star this year, right?
For sure.
Or at least around the caliber.
We don't know what happens.
A lot of players don't make it that deserve it.
But he's going to be that good.
24 points per game.
Good defender.
It's in the air.
What is Kyle are you coming off to this ACL?
Something, I don't, maybe he's not even going to look good.
I don't know.
He always comes back well from injuries.
And he missed the whole year.
He took his fucking time.
And it's not like he was insanely bursty the past couple of years.
He's a high-level shot maker.
And he's adjusted, too.
age gracefully, I think.
Something in my guts that's he'll look the same.
Maybe that's naive as fuck.
It looked the same.
Okay. But that's probably naive as hell.
But like, when's the, I don't know.
It's hard to gauge ACL players these days.
And especially with the player at that high level of a shot maker,
I feel like he can adjust as he has been every year as he hasn't been moving the same, you know?
The most skilled player of all time.
Yeah.
Some might say.
And like, even from a young age, he's had to adjust to losing burst.
Like he hurt his knees a long time ago.
And even in his best years, like 2021 with the Nets.
he was amazing.
Wasn't as Bursey as he was when he was young.
24,
damn sure wasn't as birthday was when he was young.
You think that at a certain point
that catches up to you though?
Of course.
Definitely.
That's what I'm saying.
We're like the examples that you're born to
are five years ago.
For sure.
And now we're,
you know,
we're here.
I think off of talent,
they probably could be beat,
but they haven't played
a single second together.
So I would say right now,
C is probably where they should be at.
If I was to project, though,
I would tell you that they're a.
Let's project.
Let's project.
Let's not be.
That's how you put it about it.
We haven't seen lamello and ant play.
Yeah, this is the mental exercise.
What do you think they'll be?
We haven't seen most of these guys.
Hey,
no,
I'm kidding.
That's what he said.
And similar, like,
strengths as lamello and aunt,
even though we ain't seen it yet.
And also Stefan Dre,
like these two in their games,
they help each other so much
and what one's not necessarily good at.
On both ends of the four,
defensively,
and offensively,
one thrives in.
And seeing how last year we all clamored for someone like Cooper flagged
to God damn,
can you, like,
not play point guard
and have someone else
who's a regular,
play point guard not fucking um what's Andrew Nemhart's brother's name right right Ryan Ryan
Nemhard not not that good of a basketball player can we not see Dilo minutes not that good of a
basketball player is it the league now yeah exactly um and now you have someone who's one of the
best of all time knows how to do mad regular shit and also too the shot isn't going anywhere
I don't think his now when it comes to his ability to access certain spots on the court that
could be potentially hindered but I would I would rather choose to assume that it's not going to go
anywhere because I've seen this guy time and time again and come back through injury normally.
And also I've seen some off-season clips.
So I'm like, he's moving the same.
Yeah, yeah.
There is.
There is.
He's moving the same.
He ain't going nowhere.
I do think that will go somewhere, though.
I do think he won't put a blow by guys quite as much in access certain spots.
But that's okay.
We're asking him to be a sidekick on a team that's not trying to contend.
Like, the bar isn't super high here.
If he's shorter Chris Middleton and he does a lot of tough mid-range shots and is that kind of
release valve for a big slasher, cool.
That's a 21 and a half point for game score on solid efficiency that picks his spots
wisely. He can still give you
20 for sure. Oh, 20 for sure, yeah, yeah.
Let's get Carrier out of there, man.
You fax, get into the pistons. What are we doing here?
Yeah. But I think, B, it's really
out of the strength that we think club is going to be a top 15 player.
But also,
20 safe, I think, for this coming year.
You said for flag? Yeah.
I think 20, I almost feel like it's a certainty based on what we saw the end of last year.
I think he was already training that direction.
15's in the cards. I'm not going to say it's for sure
because it's hard to do that in year two.
If he's healthy and knowing that a lot of the older guys get hurt,
he should make an all NBA team this year.
Yeah, that's not a ridiculous expectation.
Oh, well, they're going to be a bad team.
So maybe he won't, but I think he can't for sure.
Yeah.
He should, he should get on one of the ones.
They also might not be a bad team.
Like, they might not be, they're not going to be great.
But if you tell me they're the 10 seat or something because Lively is healthy.
That's right now, that's what I'm thinking they're going to be.
Yeah, maybe they could be that.
They could also not be because Kyrie's old as fuck and Lively gets hurt every two seconds.
So they could get hurt in spiral.
But if those guys are healthy,
which they probably won't be
now that I'm saying this
that's a massive if
if somehow those guys
they're healthy
and they keep PJ Washington
that's a frisky team
okay
if they
yeah they're definitely
not gonna be trash
completely
yeah they won't be an embarrassment
especially now
because there's no reason
to be an embarrassment
yeah
in the past years
again we have to really
let's go A
let's go A
really let's go A
really let's go A
I think if we're projecting
and off of the strength
of Cooper flag
I think A
okay that's that's the
tough part for me
I know I think
I can probably predict
that
No, no, no.
He's a hit on Kyrie.
No, I'm not hating on.
I'm not hitting on Kyrie.
I'm skeptical about flag and how if he's going to be able to be a top 15 players.
Yeah, he's hating.
Because he's like that.
I'm going the other way.
I'm skeptical about Kyrie more than anything, just because I don't want to put too much faith in a guy.
Do you think Kyrie's going to be as good as La Mello Ball next year?
Yeah.
That's an awkward combo given Le Melle Ball's uniqueness.
Probably not.
Not?
Really?
No, I probably will think Lamella is better, is what I'm saying?
Like, I'd probably assume the young guy.
guy in his prime in the perfect scenario is going to be better than the 35 rolled off ACL tear
but also I'm not crazy about I'm not like over the moon about oh yeah lamello's just going to come
in and be like this insanely dominant guard so it's not that's that's not that's not out the
question I think I don't want him to be a dominant guard that's thing I wanted to be the opposite
I want to be no I'm not saying like ball dominant I'm just like good in terms of like yeah
dominant in terms of good yeah I know what you meant but I like I agree I want him to do a lot less
and be this like make everybody better guy
that's why it's awkward for me
because I don't think Lamello isn't coming in
light this bitch up and drop 30 and stuff like that
so it's gonna be it's gonna feel low key
in that regard
but it's gonna make Ant amazing
and I think I have the same exact argument
for someone like Harry where he's not gonna come in here
and drop 30 you know he's gonna come here
drop 20 shoot 40% from the three point line
give you cool little six assists per game
and that'll change everything for Cooper flag
okay if we want to glaze we can go hey I won't stop you guys
like him getting to a spot
him running in transition which
she was a demon at in Duke and also he was really good in the NBA.
It'll open up.
His game would just open up tremendously, bro.
Listen, this is a projection list.
If y'all want to go A because Cooper Flags ready to be all NBA, I will not stop you.
Give it A.
I will vote B, but y'all got it.
Okay.
Next, Julius Randall and Michael Porter Jr.
Yeah, let's go ahead and put that in Nuff.
They might not exist past like January or something like that.
Low key, it's not bad on the court, though.
Like, low key, it makes sense basketball-wise.
They do gel and mesh on the court.
You're right.
There's going to be a lot.
I think there's going to be worse duos on here.
Actually, I don't know.
Most teams, again, I was trying to say it last segment with the Mazz.
We're going to have the recalibrate how we think about the league.
All these teams, like the Wizards have two stars now.
The Jazz have two all-stars now.
All these teams are going to be competitive because of the new lottery odds.
The Jazz have two all-star?
Lowry Markening, Jaron Jackson, Jr.
I did forget Jeremy.
That's what I'm saying?
All these shit is.
I did forget Jared with it.
The Kings still have a bonus for whatever that's worth in the regular season.
Like, none of these teams, bro, the Nets have Randall.
It doesn't matter.
It's worth the 15th seed.
It's really not worth anything.
What the fuck ever.
I'm just saying they're not being led
by second year nobody's anymore.
You know,
like tanking teams have these players
that put up numbers.
So what I was going to say
is we'll probably see worst duos.
All the bad teams have low-level
all-stars like Randall.
So there's going to be some
really, really good players in F-tier.
So do you want to put them in D-tier?
Really good players.
No, no, I'm saying F might be appropriate
when initially I was going to push back,
but because every team is doing this now,
we're going to have to,
is this episode,
will be the start of what's going to be, I think, a lot of adjustment for us all to remember
that all these teams have stars and all these teams are going to try to win.
Tanking teams aren't really a thing anymore as far as complete shitters the end of the season.
Yeah.
It's going to change a lot of these combos.
Yeah, I just think F is, I think F is fair.
For now.
F for now.
Yeah, for the point that you made of they might not be together by the end of the season.
I think with Jordi Fernandez, who's a certified good coach that draws up very good defensive schemes,
with these two guys and the power and size of shooting they bring together,
like I don't think they'll be horrible together.
Again,
it's not like it matters.
I'm just talking.
Randall also just might be horrible.
I don't believe that to be the case.
You know,
you know,
like horrible from like a star perspective.
Yeah,
yeah.
You know,
like that's the,
that's the thing.
He's definitely the worst best player in the league.
Yeah,
he's not,
he's not a bad player,
but there are,
we've seen it over and over where there's just stretches where
Randall's shot is not falling.
And then that just compounded into everything else in his game,
not really holding up.
Let's make this clear.
I'm not talking about
this duo mattering.
I'm just trying to be nice
to Nets fans and let them know
that I do think this will be a fun,
solid duo that leads to decent basketball.
Are you a Nets guy?
Let's claim it.
Loki.
Don't coddle them.
Low key, I do kind of want to watch them.
Like, I'm a Nets guy.
I don't know what that means.
I do.
I'm a Jordie Fernandez guy.
I think he's one of my favorite coaches in the league
is one of the most,
the most underrated coach in the league.
And I do kind of like what they're cooking
with these two and their two young guards
in Jomon and Mikhail Brown.
I'm a little bit of a, I'm a little bit of a Nets guy.
If we did a draft of the teams that are our teams this year,
I'd pick the Nets because I know y'all don't.
I'd pick the Nets towards the end of my list.
No one's going to fight you, man.
Go take them.
Exactly, right?
It's mine.
If we all pick eight teams, so we're leaving off a certain amount out,
my eighth pick might be the Nets.
The Nets aren't unwatchable.
I'll definitely say that.
They definitely will be the most watchable that they've been in a decent amount of time.
Will they?
Yeah.
Yes.
That's what I'm saying to you.
This is a watchable duo.
That's basically what I'm saying.
Yeah, like these two on the court, of course they have other interesting pieces, but these two on the court, they could lead to like interesting basketball.
Yeah, two big guys that can attack and shoot.
It's going to be fine.
Fun?
It's a different type of fun.
We just say a word.
So you're telling us for sitting down on this couch.
We're watching the Nets play.
We're going to be laughing for joy.
I do think I will enjoy myself.
Now, listen, I won't watch it.
If they're breaking, it'd be like a bad.
Here's the thing, if we go to a Nets Bulls game in person, I will thoroughly enjoy myself, I think.
We're not going for the Nets.
I know.
And that's the thing.
I'll never go for the Nets and watch for the Nets, but I will enjoy watching the-
If I invited you over to the crib and I said, I got 20 wings here for you and we're watching
the Nets, you're not coming.
Who are they playing?
Anybody.
Listen, he said wings.
I'm like to come regardless.
No, but I'm going to say, even then, even then.
You should have added that part or no.
No, even then you're not pulling up.
You're not pulling up.
I won't be watching
I don't need the wings
I'm not watching the Nets today
I'll enjoy watching
a team that I care more about
and the Nets are a fun second team
There's a lot of teams
when you're watching the league pass
and the Duljans of the season
you say okay I should watch
a six years tonight
I haven't watched them in a few days
Oh they're playing the Nets
That's fun
That's where they're at
I'm like that's cool
If they were playing the Kings
I'm like fuck I gotta watch the Kings tonight
I will never say that about the Nets
Okay so where do you want to put them
Beth
okay
okay
I hate you
okay
all okay
all right
next
Zach Eady
and
Camp Bozer
oh no
I'm outside Jerome
that's right
so I was gonna put Cambooser
I said no rookies
on this tier list
just because they're rookies
and
this is the only one
where I thought about
putting Camboosur
because they don't have like
stars
but a lot of the other guys
like the wizards have stars
the jazz have stars
yeah but I don't want to put
one rookie
so it's
we put Ty Jerome and Zach Edie?
No, that's nasty.
Okay, that's nasty.
I would have put Zach Edie and Can't,
and Canboozer for sure.
Of course.
But I do think Tyre Jerome is going to,
he's going to have a disgusting.
Dan,
you need to move up MPJ and Julius Ratto?
No,
just let me say.
Actually,
lokey, maybe.
I think we.
Yeah, because this is F.
Yeah, as a duo,
this is,
but this is the worst in the league.
So I don't think they're going to be interior of their own
if we're going off of them.
This is the only team but doesn't have stars for real.
So they have.
Yeah, those are after.
Yeah.
But I'm saying we don't have to move up the nets.
What do you mean?
I'm just saying if we move up the nets,
we're going to move everybody but the grizzlies up.
I know.
So it's fine.
They can be the bottom of F.
They're young,
the rebuilding.
Cam Boozer is going to obviously take one of these spots and be better.
E.D. can't play 40 games.
Like, yeah,
I'm not mad at that.
Yeah, yeah, we get it.
It's just no rookies,
technicality-wise,
but we know Boozer is more interesting.
Even if they have Boozer up here.
They still be F because they're rookies.
But if you tell me Boozer and Ead are as good as Kahn and Brandon Miller,
I'm not shocked at all.
but they're fucking rookies.
Yeah, I would have put them at D
and it's projecting, you know?
Yeah, I would still probably project F
just because rookie woes of Camboozer.
He probably won't be that good
consistently for his whole rookie year,
but by the end of the year,
I think they'll be just as good.
And going to the following season,
I'll say they'll be just as good.
F tier?
Next.
So wait, are we moving the nets up?
No.
Again, if we do that,
the Grizzies will be alone in F.
That's fine.
They're the worst.
We're the worst duo here.
Yeah.
They're the worst duo here.
if we want. We'll see at the end.
Okay.
Okay. Next.
Trey Young and Anthony Davis.
C. C. C. Thoman C. They can't stay healthy.
They'll probably won't be together for that long. They're going to be complimentary
to young players, but they're so super talented and potentially complimentary. They could
surprise us and B. C's fair as hell.
Yeah. I think they're both at differentiating their career. But in terms of what we know
of them right now over the last two years, it's perplexing. So we can I would say D because
of that, though.
D?
Because of that, yeah.
But they're really good.
They're proven.
I think D is like, we don't know what you two would look like.
They are.
In C, we've seen you guys play with different versions of teammates that you guys currently have within each other right now.
And we've seen you succeed.
So I think that it's impossible to put them in D.
I know what you're saying.
They are both mid and I am not excited about the prospect of them leading a team together.
But the fact that we have two players that we don't love combining and they make sense together.
Like, I think it's fine.
We keep saying they.
We keep saying them two are.
pretty doing this off of one of these guys.
You know what's funny?
I don't know which one you're talking about.
That's the media of this duo.
It could be both.
I don't know who you're more down on right now.
Which one for that reason, it probably means that they should be D.
But I think I'm more down on trade than AD.
Oh, okay.
In terms of just ability.
But you see some of people would disagree with that.
Because Trey, if the new lottery odds were in place, Trey would have been playing this past year.
Yeah.
He probably playing fine.
And we wouldn't be viewing him this way.
He is the victim of going to a tanking team to some degree.
I also think we might.
my opinions on Tray Young are well documented.
Trey Young, I can't live like this with a guard that small
that's scoring so inefficiently for so many years in a row.
I can't live like that.
He does still have his high level playmaking abilities.
It is a little good compliment to 80s finishing that that's probably what he is at this
point, a finisher.
That's going to be a defensive, versatile guy that can hold down the rim, can switch still
and do all those things that we know and love him to do defensively.
But offensively, he's a play finisher.
That complements Trey Young well.
It is, but I think Trey, especially now, like, has become very one-dem
dimensional in terms of the overall strengths because his scoring has as diminished so much that
you really are indexing a lot on his playmaking and his ability to make everybody better because
the the version of trade that is pulling up from 35 that one was halfway never never really there
the the score and like the inside scoring that's not there either the go get a get a bucket
like all those crazy playoff moments that was the Celtic series was what 24 24
23.
You know 23.
Right.
It's three years ago.
It's been a while since we've seen Trayung do all of that.
So I think from that standpoint, he has a lot to prove this year.
And we're going to ask him to play a different style than he's played his entire career.
So.
Do you think he can as a question?
Yeah.
I'm not, I'm not sure.
I'm honestly really just waiting to see because I don't know if he can, if he will adjust well.
And if it's going to do all that.
Not to mention.
But he can't, he doesn't play defense at all.
There's a, there's, so like, well I'm saying one dimensional.
There's, if there's like five facets of the game, there's really only one that he's doing well.
So I think it's, it's really weird to have them in like, see.
I see your point.
The one thing why I'm kind of optimistic about Trey building his reputation back to some degree.
Again, I'm talking about an irrelevant combo to just be respectable.
I'm not talking about like accomplishing anything.
I think his style of play and the changes needs to make is really just taking less shots.
The ball's still going to be his hands.
He's still going to be running and roll.
diming up the big man, passing out to the wings,
putting them in opportune situations.
He just needs to shoot substantially less
because we have AJ and we have Anthony Davis take those shots.
I don't think there's a style of play adjustment
as if there would be, if you put two guards together,
and one has to play off ball and he's used to on ball.
Trace is going to be pounding that motherfucking rock.
He's just going to be passing him more.
And I think he's very capable of doing that.
Yeah, of all the weaknesses in his game,
which there is a good amount that could paralyze you as a team,
I think this is one of the better situations
and nonetheless, like better players to help
make that product look so much better.
Like you're asking to play.
Make he's still one of the best in the league
to do that singular task.
I think that for the wizards,
for the wizards this year,
like AD's going to come in.
He's going to, like you said,
finish plays.
He's always going to be a good defender
or a smart defender.
The injury stuff is,
it is what it is.
But the fact that they have somebody
in DeBonsa now
who can actually go get a bucket
and help offense in that way,
is super, super key.
And the fact that you have a secondary playmaker in Kishon, like,
I think the, I think the Wizards will be good,
but I think it's more of an amalgamation of those four
as opposed to this duo driving something,
which is why I think that there are a little bit lower
because I, and we're not putting the rookies on this,
on this list, but I think that the other two guys are
just as, if not more important to the success of the Wizards
than this duo alone.
I see, I get why you say this.
that, I would say keep in mind the young players. And I think a lot of times we have a, I can see
the tendency to do that. And then we look up and say, oh, okay, they're still, A.J. DeBonce was fantastic.
He still is a rookie. And he is still has a very crazy impressive flashes. There's 18 points
for game, whatever. He's crazy impressive. Not terribly efficient. Defense takes time, all this stuff,
because he is still a young player. So I think we agree in general. I just think the talent level
that I had the same exact idea as you. That just nets out the C to me because they're still really good
players.
Yeah.
Like AD is so much more proven.
Actually, to me, the thing we should be talking about is AD AD still?
Is he going to play at all?
That's the question that I think you could dig them for.
So I think he, I think AD when AD is on the court, I think he is Anthony Davis.
Like I don't think the talent level or the production is something that has fallen off
a complete cliff.
And that sentence you just said, that would get to see to me.
Okay.
The issue is, it's just never going to happen because he's just not, he's not, he's not
to play. And that's the, that's one of, one of the other reasons why I'm like, okay, we should
probably drop them. Yeah. I think we just land at C honestly. Like, that's, that's fair to me what
you're saying. But this is also like a projecting, projecting list. If we're projecting, if I, if I, if I, if I,
we project that. If I, if I, we project out and I say, hey, Andy Davis played 42 games
this year. You're not shocked at all. No, I think that's fair. When I say projecting, I'm really
projecting, I'm really projecting what their level of play develops to and I'm on the court.
You know, every time we do this, I want to focus more on the court because everybody can get hurt.
and as a slippery slope to me.
But projecting wise,
you could definitely project your outcome being correct.
That's definitely towards you.
Yeah, it really is.
The other two guys, I think,
are very much on like even footing for this duo.
So that's why I'm not indexing too much on them.
I think if they're definitely healthy.
They're a solid C to me.
Yeah.
I think we did a good job of breaking down the strengths
and we can since this duo.
I think from the first sentence when we saw them,
they were a solid assy.
They're still a solid assy to me.
But I think the variance is clear, though.
Donovan could definitely be right
and they could be F tier because they never play.
And one of them is probably
I don't know
They say they want to keep him
I don't believe you
We'll see
I don't fucking believe you
AD doesn't want to be there
I don't fucking believe you
I think they want
Like one year of building culture
And winning
I'm sure that's what the Wizards want
I think they know the market
For AD isn't unspecial right now
And they want to wait till the deadline
When he's healthy for 45 games
And they can flip him
But flip him for what
Like would it be even worth it
I don't know
Hell yeah he's old
It'd be super worth it
If you can get a couple
First-on picks for him
That's what I'm saying
Would it be worth it for the team
Wanted to give a first round
picks in this age. I don't think so.
I think he's a wizard, honestly.
If he's healthy-ish, or whatever that means, right, whatever that means for AD,
get to February, I can definitely imagine a world where we convince ourselves.
There's a team out there that could use a personal big.
You know who it is?
Who?
Celtics.
Clippers.
The Celtics get AD at the deadline for the cheap.
Actually, I don't know, I can't remember what their contract situation is like, so maybe
they can't.
But imagine that happen.
A team like that that's on the precipice and gets him for a run.
We've been wanting AD for a minute now, too.
Just 10 years later, finally got him.
What if the Cavs get him?
The Cavs flip, Jared Allen and another contract that go get him.
Or James Hardin got forbidden to get rid of him.
Ooh, man.
Like, there's teams out there that can get AD and be interesting.
True.
Okay.
Next.
Hey, the Raptors get AD.
Slow down.
Why, Scott, AD?
Who's scoring?
Who's scoring?
All right, next.
Jalen Johnson and C.J. McCollum.
Yeah, man.
All right.
So you have an All-Star?
Put a M.F.
Nah, we have an All-Star.
Okay.
They're D.
I think Con can be an all-old.
All-Star.
Jeline Johnson is an All-Star.
Actually, right.
That means the D.D.A. So you're right. You're right.
What I just said agrees.
Yeah.
Again, shout out to C. Jim McCollum, when your extension, you know, but I don't know how long this
duo is going to last.
It's kind of what we got going on right now, man.
I actually made John Johnson's head really small.
I think, yeah, I mean, the Kill Alexander Walker to me is probably the second
player if he plays like he did into last year.
Yeah. Even if you put in the Kill Alexander Walker, to me, still a D.
Yeah.
Whatever. Don't want to talk.
with them. Yeah. All right. Next, we can part about this one. Palo and Franz.
Just to see, man. I don't even, I don't even have room about heart with the negativity
anymore. Just throw them in there. I don't, I've beaten this drug horse to goddamn death for
years. But when they're healthy and the whole starting five is there, they're a good duo
because they're a good starting five and this duo is part of that starting five.
They're not complimentary for real, like at all. Which is why I think I look he would have
them deep. Yeah. Because they, they also are very much just coworkers.
Yeah, but they're good.
They're two really good players.
And again, when the starting five is healthy, they are a good team and they've been unlucky to some degree.
And again, as somebody who's hating on parts of this team more than anybody, do I have to remind myself that they have been largely unlucky and the team just hasn't been built for dealing with that.
That's not indicative of this duo necessarily.
We can criticize a lot of elements of that.
That doesn't make this duo worse.
When they have the starting five that makes sense for them, they win games and they have a good net rating.
Is that more about the team than the duo then?
Yeah, but the team around them, we're talking about having Wendell Carter, Jalen, Suggs, who can.
can't shoot and shout out does in bain who is very good but like we're not talking about them
being carried or anything do you think that it's funny that yes you know whatever you say after
this yes that's so i think the best version of them always comes when the other one is not there
of course i think it's hilarious i think it's hysterical if they could play good together they could
be b or a because we should by now they should be elite together but they're not so they're
firmly mediocrisy i don't know man i think they're kind of d i think they've been even them
seeing them to at their best still isn't like the best product in the
world.
I fuck a D tier.
So I think they do belong in D.
Oh, God, I'm not going to defend them.
Yeah, I'm not going to say, who's fighting for it for a reason?
Oh, not me.
I was like, I feel like we owe them thieves just for whatever reason, but I want to argue it.
Okay.
Next.
Luca and Reeves.
It's tough.
This would be A tier, I think.
It's the best in A tier.
Yeah.
Which I suppose the Ant La Mello would think be so complimentary is debatable.
But I think we're in for a season.
This is going to be one of, like, those scoring duos for the decade that, even when we saw
last year. Before LeBron came back, it's not a coincidence that Austin Reeves was averaging 27 on insane
efficiency and then LeBron came back and he slowed down and then naturally got hurt after that.
When those two touches, Brown wrote and everything. As far as Austin Reeves' stats, which
isn't important for the team, they're better with LeBron. But as far as Austin Rees production goes,
yes, he's better without LeBron. In the OKC series, the on-off numbers of when LeBron was playing
and when it was just Austin Reeves or they're both together, night and day. Awesome-Ree's
averaging like 30 per 75 without Lebron on the court.
is so much better when he can be the primary
ball handling without splitting touches with the Ford like that
him and Luca are going to have
I mean I think it's probably like a sure thing
that the high scoring duo in the league right
high scoring probably
duo. Duo? Yeah, I would think so. When we get to this
list, I think they're probably also the best playmaking duo
on this tier list. Okay. Best playmaking
yeah, yeah. So they're the best
offensive duo on this tier list potentially.
We'll see if the offball abilities
and couple each other together comes together like some other
duos, but I think this might be the best offensive
duo in the league. How soon did you want to be with us?
tier.
You tell me.
I mean,
I'm not going to put
him in this year,
but if you want to.
No, I'm just trying to open
like I will.
I won't stop anybody.
I will.
I will.
How many two estes do we have?
When we say as to
know yet.
Because like I said earlier
earlier, I want Esther to
mean something more than just
the best one goes there
and then people that are kind of close
go there.
I feel like we're always too
too nice with that.
I think estier should be some
kind of like
truly moving the needle
can make a place in history.
This duo,
I guess in the context
of a duo's list,
this duo can drag a team to a championship with out like perfect pieces around them because we're
into a day and age we're starting fives matter more than duos right yeah like you really it's hard
to really carry like a lebron and ad did in 2020 so i think s tier is like oh we can still do some
some version of that naturally you still need good pieces but like yeah if we succeed it's because
of us i mean to be fair if we're projecting where we think they're gonna be at like where would
they rank in like the best back courts of all time like i feel like they would low-key be in that
conversation.
Nah,
probably not.
Just all time is hard.
But that's what
we're serving S tier for.
I mean,
a 27 point for game
shooting guard and a
35 point for game shooting guard.
You just haven't amounted
to anything.
Inflation though for that
for that combo.
And they can't be there
because of defense for real.
Like it's hard to be
an all time great
duo defensive
backward wise with no defense.
Yeah.
Which I get,
we gas Austin Reeves
liability on defense.
He's like fine for
a star guard goes.
But still,
they don't have a high level
defender.
Yeah,
it's more of the
playoff stuff.
Reeves more than the, than, like, can he hold up as a defender?
Yeah, and I understand that criticism.
I would say in this past year, you know, he was coming off the oblique injury.
So he came back early too.
So I'm not surprised he shot some Tours against the Rockets.
Had a horrible game won against the Thunder.
And the last three games of that series, he kind of went, he kind of demolished
that Thunder defense for Spurs of Games.
And he had way more efficient outings than most StarGards have against the Thunder.
So I think he kind of answered that to me in those three games.
But I understand it's three games and he already started off poorly.
I get why people won't completely give him that pass.
Hey, top of eights here.
I'm fine with it.
So, yeah.
So S here's on,
wouldn't play?
No.
Nah.
Okay.
Okay.
Next.
Devin Booker and Dylan Brooks.
Ooh.
I mean,
D.R. F.
He's Devin Booker.
He's really good.
He's the best player in D tier.
It is,
but I mean,
is this a,
this is Jalen Johnson,
C.J. McCollum situation.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So D.
So D.
It's one of those guys that we have just for now.
Okay.
Next.
Yonis and Bam.
I mean A, right?
Yeah, they're in A tier.
I think...
Are we gas-in?
I don't know if they're in...
I don't think they fit each other perfectly.
Are we guessing flagging?
Yeah, we're glazing the fuck out of flagging, Kyrie.
Yeah, we put the book down.
I'm not really sure.
I thought y'all y'all can have it
because of the projection.
We're glazing the shit out of them.
I mean...
Like, Cooper flag would literally have to be like a 27-4-4-game coordinator.
And you know, he could.
He could, but...
I can definitely see like a
Let's play a flag.
If you think he's going to be a
Pun intended
Puntintended?
No.
It just comes natural.
Brady.
My bad.
No, he just,
he's like that.
All right.
Let's take a stand.
I don't want to take that stand.
At all.
But again,
if you're not voted on my voting.
I don't know.
It's okay.
See and Tatum like right below.
Exactly.
What the fuck?
Like, this is ridiculous.
All right, we can put them in B.
See?
Now let me joke.
All right.
All right. Next.
We got.
Tyrese Halliburton and Pascal Seaccom.
This is weird.
What do we think Tyrese is going to be after in Achilles?
That's tough.
Let's use some percentages.
About 90%, 85%.
You know, what can he be 100%.
That's hard to imagine what that means for Tyrese Halliburton, who is such a specific player with such a specific skill set of unlocking offenses and having a style of play.
that doesn't require taking a lot of shots,
pounding the rock.
He's such a good feel
for giving the ball
to the right people at the right time.
I don't know what that means
for his ability to do that.
Is he a 10% worse scorer,
but those instincts in playmaking
don't go anywhere
because how could they?
If that's the case,
then I hardly care
if he loses 10% of his scoring.
It wouldn't be sick.
It wouldn't be great.
But like,
they would still be able to be a top offense
with him at whatever percent, right?
What are you thinking?
This is your guy.
My guy?
Pascal?
No.
I think Pascal's good.
The conversation is not about Pascal at all.
Like, he was mad, regular, and normal.
He didn't take a, he didn't slow down at all last year.
No one just cared because their year was their year for a mile.
It's more so about Tyrese.
And I do feel like he'll come in and the brain will still be there.
The process will be there.
More so it's about his ability to bounce back from losing maybe like 5% of the quickness.
And he's not the most athletic or bursing player at all in the world.
I think
How does Pascal?
Personally,
I think like
31, maybe 32 or something like that
I think they should be A
because in terms of what a true duo is
you have like a bona fide all star
next to Tyrese Halliburne
and I believe Tyrese is the same exact thing
His passage doesn't unlock so much
It's different
I think I'll put him in A
I think firmly a
Yeah
Unless Tyreus falls off
Which I don't want to predict that
We're projecting, I'm not projecting that shit
Yeah, I think he's A
Okay
Let's go away
You have maybe right now
Oh, my bad.
Next, Kevin Durant and Opperson Gung.
Yeah, I mean, he has Kevin Durant.
They're good.
They had that for a couple weeks to start the season
where they were really clicking
and their chemistry was amazing.
If you tell me they get back to that
because they have Fred Van Fleetback
and have some and Marcus Marte
and have enough guard play
to keep the half-court offense
not complete bullshit
and those flashes we saw
of Shangoon attacking in the post
and kicking out to Kevin Durant
off the screens
and the movement shooting off of the gravity
of Shingoon,
who, as much as I'll criticize
Shingun for everything he does
terribly as an offensive player,
He does have gravity in the way he attacks and draws in two defenders.
I can see them as this being substantially better this coming season,
assuming Kevin Durant doesn't fall off because of age.
So substantially better, I don't see that happening.
When I say substantially, I mean, based on the end of the season perception.
Even then.
See, I'm not sure.
I was still having my bead just because of talent,
but I don't know if we're going to get to a different level.
I agree.
I meant me.
Yeah, Rockets basketball.
I was just scared girlfriend to say, C.
I was I was talking about B
It's it's KD
Okay yeah I agree
Okay
All right next
Drew Holiday and Denny
Put that in D or F
Not F
They're good
Are they C
That's an all-star
You're right
You can put them in
I guess it's C
I don't know
They're not even a true duo
For real
It's a song like put them in D
Because I don't think they're gonna exist
For much longer
But if was Denny and Dane
That's even weirder
Damon Jha
That's F
That's F
That's F.
I don't care.
C or D.
I think I put him in D.
I think we've set the precedent of
of All-Star.
I can't say some guy.
That's D.
Yeah.
And Drew's much better than just like some guy.
So I don't want to.
Yeah, I can't put them above Pollo and Franz.
All these some guys are good though.
Like,
except Dylan Brooks.
But C's McColl was also good.
Like D tier to me is like you're figuring outside of Brandon Miller and Conk because you haven't seen it.
Like D is like you're in the middle of potentially like resuffling shit.
and they pretty much like embody that.
Okay, whatever.
Okay.
Next, Nicole Yokic and Jamal Murray.
We've always penciled them in for the top.
Yeah.
They're not S-tier.
I'm so sick at all right.
No, no, they are, they've shown they are extremely getable.
I'm so sick of playoff Jamal Murray.
And the way that he's been clamped up by Jada McDaniels
and other performances as well against other teams and how that's made Yokic's
life hell.
In past year, Jokic's been so teflon to people that he's like dealt with
Jamal Murray selling him.
This past year he couldn't.
He also got shamed up.
on. So they both are coming off of their worst case scenario. I would love for Jamal Murray to be
able to provide some value and not make Yokic have to deal with such a anchor tied to him in terms
of star duos. And that last year, it sunk him. I no longer, I love and appreciate what Jamal
Murray did in the regular season. I'm kind of sick of giving him the past what he did in the playoffs
and acting like it doesn't matter because he didn't do it in 2023. Yeah, you're right. That does
matter. But I'm kind of scared for thoseists because like if they're not as tier, then who the fuck is
going to be S tier, you know?
If there's no estuos in league right now, so be it.
Then what the fuck do we have an S tier?
Because we don't know beforehand.
Maybe we'll decide nobody is currently an all-time duo.
That is crazy, though.
Like, I get the reasoning.
I'm not even like fighting it for a-fro, for a,
but they arguably just came off of their best seasons individually.
And then what happened?
Then what?
Yeah.
Then the worst moment of Yok's his career and Jamal Murray.
I can't even say the worst of his career because he's done it a couple of fucking times now.
It's one of the worst playoff moments of his career.
And it is kind of in the context.
An all-time duo having their best season and falling off like that is.
But to your point, they didn't fall off.
They're still A.
We're giving them credit for that.
If we were gone off just playoffs,
these motherfuckers would be lower.
So I think A is giving them credit
for what they did in the regular season.
It also is,
it's frustrating because, like,
the late game offense always is,
is this duo.
But if you're looking at the team,
especially, you know,
from the championship run to now,
it's really a trio.
It's really them two and Aaron Gordon.
And if Aaron Gordon is not there,
they are not getting it.
They're not advancing.
They're not getting it done.
Like,
it's just not happening.
So I think, I think A is actually fair.
Yeah. I don't think it's a lock that this duo is better than Luke and Reeves.
They should be because of the complimentary nature of their offense.
Being a big guy and small guy just naturally makes a little more sense.
I don't think it's a lock, given what we've seen in the playoffs.
And the issues people have in Reeves, we should have the same issues for Jamal Murray.
He's just done a, he's done a good thing before because he had more opportunities in the playoffs.
He did have 2023 and before that 2020 and stuff like that.
But at this point, it's been several years of more disappointing than great.
Well, so Jabal Murray is really weighing this down.
Well, yeah, it's not second best player in the world.
You'll be waiting it down.
Ah, man.
I think I would probably want to give them a little bit more greats
because they have been proven
and they were the best duo in the league last year.
You know, we would call them that.
Yeah, or third or whatever, I don't care.
But like, well, in the trio?
But last season, would you call them the best duo in the league?
In the regular season?
Probably, but then, again,
they went out in six to the backups of the,
Timble was like what you did matters.
Yeah, I'll look past some
playoff shit. Like I'll not overreact
to some playoff shit. That was when we shouldn't
look fast. Iyo Dissumo game
to you. Both Highland gamed you. It was
so embarrassing. I'll have
40, right? Was it 38 or 40? I don't remember
but it was something crazy. He put up 40.
Yeah. They got demolished in all
facets. It was ridiculous. Like
we simply cannot look past it.
Okay. You can put him in A then.
Let's go. Hey, next.
Josh Giddy and Norman Powell.
That's F.
No, that's nasty.
That's not the two best players.
Yeah, they are?
No, they're not.
Yes, they are today.
They're clearly the two best players, actually.
Modis is up there.
No, he's not.
Nah, modus is...
We're going to a modest and Caleb era.
We are for sure.
It should be that era next year.
Right now, these are the two best players.
Modest is...
Last year, modest wasn't better than Giddy.
Please make that leap, man.
Please, please.
I've been saying since you got drafts and I'm waiting for the modest leap.
It's coming.
As it came yet.
I think he's better than Giddy right now
That's not a combo
This is F tier
Regardless if you want to say
That's fine because
Either way if I'm honest
This year they'd still be F tier
Yeah, no right
Yeah okay
Okay
The league's newest duo
Darius Garland and Brandon Ingram
You can put that in F2
I love Garland
Let's give him some help
Garland or Rui
Now what
Go ahead drop that down
put that down there
they're really not on anything
they're not on shit they're really
F bro that's crazy
they're but it's on trade garland
damn they should
they either have one or two ways they either
you either trade garland and trade bi
and just get all the picks that you can to try
and like you know retool
or you go all in and just
spin crazy and and
you know blow through the second
apron try to turn garland into haliburton
yeah it's all you can do really
That's it.
Yeah.
All right, next.
They should trade for 80.
And give up picks?
Come on, man.
No.
Give up picks for Andy?
80 is only worth one
first round pick in my mind.
I might get him a pick for anybody
from the Clippers.
Is 80?
Who would the Wizards want?
Really?
Ew.
Just like role players, like Ruy and Derek Jones, I guess.
Like, just like, you know,
role players round out the rotation and get a pick.
It's a pick is what matters.
Derek Jones will be fun.
Yeah, yeah.
But anyway, that's not happening.
They're just pick maxing.
It's not about they wanting players and clippers.
Okay.
Next.
Laurie Marketing and Jerry Jackson, Jr.
I kind of like this duo.
Put them in C.
Yeah, I think C.
I think it's a very good duo.
Well, I really, if they had Walker Kessler there, I had such high hopes for them.
If they had Walker Kessler, I was thinking that was going to be like, oh, whoa, the jazz
are going to be a team team.
Not just cute story.
They're going to be a team.
Without him, we'll see who rebounds and how they figure out this weird roster now.
But this duo, I like him a lot.
Yeah, you have a good score.
You have a good defender.
Not many rebounds, but it's okay.
I guess.
They're not the biggest playmakers in the world, but we've seen other duels before in the past.
Like, of course, Tatum and Brown not being the biggest rebound to still be able to thrive
because of the environment that was insulated by your coach in the game plan and all that.
I very much think that the same exact thing, not in terms of like outcome yet,
but I think it's sort of being productive and a good working hard to deal with two big ass dudes
who are a 6-11 or whatever,
shooting like that,
can do some a little bit of stuff
off the driv and more so,
Jaron Jackson Jr.
and Lari,
Markman being the most,
like,
the easiest guy to play next to,
I think they're definitely seen.
Who do you think it's going to be
at the end of the year,
like if we're doing this next year,
Darren Peterson and Larry or Darren Peterson and Jaron?
Huh.
I don't know.
I've viewed Lari and Jaron Jackson like so equal.
I don't know if Dary and Darren Jackson like so equal.
I don't know if Darren Peterson.
just don't leave them in his rookie year.
Maybe like this coming year as a rookie,
these two guys will both be better.
But assuming when he does leap them,
I think one of them will just be traded by then.
Really?
Yeah.
Probably be Lowry.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If he's Bailey's good, it's like,
shed some money.
He just kind of makes sense eventually to trade Lowry.
Yeah.
Okay.
Stick him at sea.
Next.
Tyler Hero and Ryan Rawlins.
Go ahead.
Put that in F tier.
Loki, can we convince ourselves as D?
I don't think we can.
Ryan Rolls is good.
He is good, but he hasn't made an all-star team yet.
Tully Hero.
I mean, he's a fine player, but I think that this,
I think that this duo is one that,
especially under the old lottery rules,
is one that you would want to have
if you're trying to get a top pick.
I don't, in the old lottery rules, I don't think so.
This duo doesn't lead you to a 15 seed.
Now the new lottery.
rules. Does it lead you to the middle? Yes. But like, does it? Is it that different than Denny and
Drew? I think Ryan Rolls is really good. I think Ryan Rollins is really good, but I don't, I don't
know if Ronald Rollins is better than MPJ 100%. I think he's that good. I think he's that good.
And I think Hero's better than Randall. Like, I think they competes each other really well.
Ryan Rolls can defend. He can get downhill. I think he was better than Randall fully. I think what?
He's better than Randall. Fuck, are you out of your mind? Yes, I think Heroes better than Randall.
Fully? I don't know. I think, if you feel, he's better than Randall. Fully, I don't know. I think
you're both to have them lead your team
they're gonna lead just the same
exact thing in the one overall pick
as co-stars like I think
Tyro may be better suited as a co-star
but I don't know that's the combo I'd have you
I don't want either them being first options
again we did this in the shooting guards rankings
why are you forgetting that hero's good
when he's in a role that makes sense for him
like the hero was an all-star next to Jimmy
and Bam like when the role makes sense
hero's a good player why are you treating him like he's B-pods
yeah
he's next to two other
the high level all stars, then he's solid.
I think as a, as a duo and as a reductive way to view.
He was the score to those guys being playmakers and defenders and stuff.
Like he was at a situation where he could do what he does well and has compliments on
defense.
Yeah, because he can't do, he's not doing anything else for real.
I'm not saying he's a top 10 player.
I'm saying he's a good player.
No, but I'm saying as a, as a duo, it's like they're not really, they're also not on
anything.
I would say that they're FTA.
Oh, no, I'm fine with them being FTA.
I'm just talking about the title of here.
Oh, what the hell?
You want to put him in D or not.
No, no, no, now we're talking about the Randolph-V-Riss Tyler Hero thing.
That's where I'm like, hell no.
Okay, so I would agree with you on that.
I think the hero is better than the Randall, but I also don't, right now, I'm not super high on either one of them.
So it doesn't really matter.
Yeah, I'm cool with them and F.
I was like, just open the combo.
Like, could they be D, I guess?
But F is fine.
It's just the Randolph's hero thing.
I was like, no, no, no, no, I can't do it.
They both piss me off, so it's fine.
All right.
Does the Star of here piss you off on the court or just because of what he does and looks like?
No, I think on the court, too.
Okay.
All right.
Jalen Brunson and Kat.
Zay.
You shut your mouth.
You know,
clearing world,
this is S-tier.
You want to call this an S-tier,
do you?
I do.
I do.
No, he doesn't.
I'm telling you what I want.
I just can't believe
that you possibly would.
So I'm just like,
I'm assuming you're lying.
I'm telling you that.
That's what I want to.
And I just know you're trying to trick me.
We're going to S-tier with this.
That's my boat.
I'm glad you
I'm going to say
We're a team here
Everybody gets a vote
We're a team here
I want to make sure that everybody here
Feels heard
Exactly
If we're being stangey
With Estier
And we are talking about
Duel's who can
Like legitimately
Be historic for periods of time
I don't know if Kat and Brunson
Like fit this necessarily
I mean they've played together for two years
And then we've gone to a conference finals
And then won the chip
They're very successful
Very true
But it's not
We know what's up
It's not because the duo
If there's big threes, if OG was here,
I can maybe let you get some shit off.
Just as a duo, I think we,
they're so historic because the whole starting five is so great.
And a shout-out cap,
what he did in the playoffs,
being able to scale down and get the best version of himself
defensively and offensively,
fantastic.
If the whole point of a duo is he wants you to do less
so everybody else can do more,
that doesn't necessarily make you a better duo.
But again, if OG was here,
we could, if we do big threes.
Oh, no, that's no question.
well it's definitely a question
if the S tier is a big three
well again if we're continuing to operate
on S tier being meaning something more
and not not guaranteeing one has to be there
it's a question if they're all time big three
it's definitely a question it's a question
for sure big question
but I can hear the argument for sure
when S tier is like
LeBron Bain and Bob
Donovan yes it's a question
he's gonna make me look at OG be like yeah
here too
I'm just
don't disrespect him
Don't disrespect.
But if we're doing, I think we're doing duos, especially in the league right now.
And you talk about a guard that can, that operates, the operates where, really from everywhere
on the floor.
But Brunson, obviously, like, getting downhill, playing in the mid-range, all that stuff.
And then having a legitimate stretch five to provide a spacing for everybody else.
Like, coming into last year, you did have a team that, especially,
OG, Josh Hart, Mikhail.
A lot of people are like, yo, you're very good,
but you are not this upper echelon version of the role players.
Obviously, OG has grown.
But I do think that having Kat there allows you to play an offense that,
basically that a lot of other teams and a majority of the teams in the league are trying to play
and are trying to find.
And they can't do it because they don't have a actual stretch five with gravity.
And so the combination of them two with Brunson's scorn and then,
Pat's ability to space the floor and his passing and playmaking, I do think that it says to you.
Yeah, we don't disagree with any words you just said except for the last two.
That's eight year.
You just outline where they're an amazing duo.
And that's right now they're one of the top six.
They're clearly higher than six too.
They clear the Pacers.
They clear.
I think they cleared a lot of these guys.
They're probably third in the league.
As currently constituted, they have, like they have, I guess, as many accolates.
Or, well, Yolke is just better, but obviously, like, yeah, the last couple years have been.
weird but they're as accomplished anybody they're as yeah as as accomplished at the peak of their
powers i would say s tier if we're not going to give yokech and murray s tier then we can't give it
they didn't they didn't get gained by the by the tumult was backup you're right we we know true
you're right but yoke's jokic in the day and he trumps all those like conversations too if we're
if we're going to be as stingy with s tier then that means you haven't had an s tier duo in the
NBA for the last few years or since 2023 when they exactly yeah and you know i think
we should like going forward like we think about logically we always shoot s like it's just tier
one that's like a is in every other world the best s is supposed to be just like you break the scale
type thing better break the scale of duos they're one of the best in the league there was a sere duo
they broke up though if they broke up were they really yes i suppose they were the last one that
kind of like could be a had a combo in 2024 but again they also had a super team so i don't know yeah
He's disgusted by the thought.
They were a great duo.
I want to take 20,
24 away from them.
They were great.
I'm just saying,
like,
I also think that if they were,
they were,
I think Brunson and Kat could get in there.
I think they were better than Brunson and Katz could get in there.
Not that the gap is huge, though.
Not the gap is huge.
They both,
honestly,
both those teams were led by the starting five being so good,
not necessarily just the duo.
That team for the whole year,
that team was better than 2026.
I think, like,
especially,
especially in the,
in the playoff run,
Yeah, you're right.
We saw a lot more of the synergy between those two as opposed to Tatum and Brown and how often they play off of each other.
So that's what I would say would be the difference.
It's a debate.
I can't say firmly.
It's a better duo.
It's certainly close.
I think, yeah, I don't know.
Maybe not.
Maybe not.
Maybe I'm just thinking about it because the whole team was better because the starting five is better.
Okay.
Next.
I think Josh Hart is Chris Osperzingia.
It's like, what the fuck?
What a ridiculous team, bro.
Hell yeah.
And it's gone.
I know.
It never reached a high.
again.
Not from Drake May.
That's for Tuesday, ma'am.
All right.
So bonus and Zach Levine.
I'm putting them an F.
No words.
No.
Executive decision.
Executive decision.
Putting them an F.
All right.
Now let's get into the real meat and potatoes.
Cade and Jalen Dern.
Ooh.
Uh, B.
Yeah.
I was like interesting.
No, it was not.
It's not to them.
I view them and also Katie and
Alfred Schengoon like same level of like.
how elite are you of a duo?
Yeah.
Man, Duren is lucky that Kada's like that.
I want to put him in C.
He is lucky.
That's true.
This could be cadence to bonus
and it would barely change.
Yeah, that's true.
Dern, again, I don't want to overreact the playoffs.
Like, Dern some bum.
He played like a bum.
You have to.
For two weeks, he was a bum.
But regular season, he was fantastic.
The Leapsie made were real.
So he deserves to be seen in these convos.
But this is a K placement for real.
Like, salute to Duren.
Hope you get your money.
I'm not giving up on you
after that playoff series.
I think it stands to reason you struggle
and it makes sense you could bounce back
you got to prove some shit before I consider you a day
we need we need like two more leaps
actually no
Kate's so good
Kate's so good but we need one more leap from Durn
especially defensively
Become a peer bam and we can put you in A
Okay next
Zion and Trey Murphy
Put that in D or F
I'd probably lean towards D
because Zion is too good here
Zon's good
Is there a world where
they're decent next year?
I don't, I don't think so.
You don't think so?
Like, you know, like, they're healthy.
They have good players.
They just, like, it's never come together.
New coach coming in.
Like, is there a world where they're, like, okay-ish?
I look you feel that way about the Clippers.
Me too.
Crazy enough.
Also, keep in mind, the tanking rules.
They're not going to be tanking teams.
They're going to try to win whatever many games to get a mediocre.
Well, that's the, I don't know if they've ever tried to take for for.
They've been a show, for sure.
Yeah.
I think that they have looked at themselves and say, we can go out here and win some games,
and they just don't do it.
Yeah.
And I feel the way about the Pelicans like you do about the about the nets where they're like a fun, interesting, bad team.
Me too.
But I just, Zion and Trane Murphy.
Since they played together, they've never not once had a positive plus money.
Never not once.
Because neither one of these guys play any off all defense.
Yeah.
So I just.
The team random is like not helping that too obviously.
Yeah.
So I think like they're good enough to be D.
But yeah, I'm not like, I'm just, I'm not, I'm not saying I think.
they're going to be good.
I'm asking, are we writing them off as a team too easily as we think about the coming
season?
Yeah, I win.
Are we pencil them into a box too easy?
Like, is there a world where there's more variation there than we think?
Zero chance.
Zero world.
As long as we do Mars is there.
I guess I should clarify what I mean by being decent team.
I just mean like...
Are you saying 10th?
When we talk about this tier, decent is you could be in the playing race.
In competition for playing.
They probably end up 11 because a lot of good teams, but like in convos.
Like at some point in the year, there'll be 9-10 or whatever.
Sure.
I mean they could do that.
I don't know what they're playing is.
The way, I don't, I don't know.
Their plan is going to be to do that because like they have to.
Everybody's plan will be to do that now.
Again, keep that in mind.
There's a lot of teams that are good though in the West, so I don't know if they're good enough.
I've never, but that's the thing.
Again, I've never doubted that they've wanted to be good.
I think that in terms of their development plan and who they are prioritizing.
Oh my God.
And all of that.
I have no idea what they are going to do.
And so when you have, when you have Zion and you have Tray Murphy and you have Herb Jones,
and you got, you got, um, Dairy Queen there as well.
Like, yo, Dair Queen, Zion and Trey are not going to lead you to anything positive.
And so I don't know if that team is going to be able to compete.
Yo, these larger, noodle order rules are fucking ass, bro.
We cannot let the future number one overall pick go to New Orleans again.
Don't worry.
It's a bad draft class.
That'll be so fucking annoying.
No, but I think, I think that they have a chance to be in the relegation zone.
Yeah, but you can still get his number one pick there.
It's not impossible.
We'll see.
Yeah, but it's not, you know, there's less likely.
Jamal Mosley is your new coach, defensive-oriented guy.
Do we feel like that's anything like?
You said they're like, so I'm supposed to move us.
It is different.
It is different here, right?
I don't have any stock in the pelicans.
I'm not saying I believe they're going to be good.
But I am wary of us, like, just assuming certain things go a certain way and like
writing off the possibility of anything to be different.
And there's probably more nuanced that convoy than we.
we think like they did deal with a lot of injuries they do have talented players that weren't
deployed right they did have incompetence at coach they designed thing like he had less
touches oh horrible like maybe they're maybe they're more respectful i don't know all right so last
year they finished at 11 last year a game a game above Memphis for the 13 C so so they had they had
a game above they had 26 wins they had they had 26
Dallas Dallas and Memphis had 25
Sacramento and Utah had 22
So I guess then Cine doesn't matter then
Because they were already 11
They were garbage 26
I guess what I'm asking is like
If they shockingly won 34 35
Would y'all like is that in the cards?
35 wins would actually be a lot for me
I think that a 10 gave improvement
Especially in this
In this specific NBA
Where tanking is not as as rewarded
That would be a lot
Yeah I don't think so either
If it did it probably wouldn't be about this duo
It'd probably be about Derek Queen
getting good defensively and like being able to have two big men at one time who can do
some stuff with a ball in their hands that's really hard to guard with a shooter like Jay Murphy
and that's possible I gotta fucking see it yeah I'm not projecting any any of it which is why I would
still say F yeah I'm not projecting either I'm open to being proven wrong if they so have the ability
they have I see I'm not going to say that they I'll put them in F in my opinion I'm fine with
F too okay all right next Scotty barnes and kawai Leonard oh man I this might be
That's to me it's not a convos.
Man, talk about duels and again, like synergy.
Bro, on the court, off the court, too.
They'll be best buds.
Is there?
They're going to be hilarious.
They would be perfectly, bro.
There's actually no world.
I believe the Pelican would win 35 games before Scotty and Kauai and posted up.
You don't think so?
You don't think Kauai find them entertaining?
Absolutely.
At practice.
Yeah.
Intertating, like it's a jester.
look dude always talking about this funny guy
yeah
dance
he's a clown
Scott is going to do something
where at practice
and karate could be like
this guy
and that's going to be it
like they're not going out to dinner
what they're talking about
you don't know
I do flip
I do think that
if everything goes right
there's
from a dual perspective
there's a word
where this is the best duo
in the league next year
yeah I do I think
I agree.
Kauai is, I think he stands 6'7,
obviously insane wingspan, insane hands.
Scotty Barnes, solid 6'9,
insane wingspan.
I don't know about his hand size,
maybe he's also insane.
How do you deal with that defensively
with those two forwards,
having that much length and playmaking ability
and versatility while also having a big on the court
or having C&B, who those things apply to him as well
as another versatile defender?
I'll be shocked if they're not a top five defense in the league.
And that's before getting into offensively.
We talked last year when they got Brandon Ingram
that I don't like,
I don't like Brandon Ingram like that as a star player
But I do like that Scotty Barnes has a guy who can get a bucket next to him to relieve some pressure
Because two years ago, Scottie Barnes had to be the main isolation score and it was fucking sickening
His PR died because he was asked to take a bunch of elbow touch tough jumpers not his game at all
So here comes Brandon Ingram to at least make sense stylistically
Now here comes super Brandon Ingram who's also good defensively and can also pass can also shoot off ball
Even then super Brandon Ingram is still disrespectful like mega evolution Brandon Ingram
Yeah like you you fulfilled the idea
idea that you were going for.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Now we got a guy who's
fucking closer to Jordan
than he is to Brandon Ingram.
What an evolution.
I don't even know
for that evolution anymore.
Yeah, he's just a different guy.
Not no variation here.
It should be amazing as a duo.
Yeah, I agree.
It should be amazing.
I cannot argue against that at all.
I was saying that I want Scotty Barnes
to be this generation's Pippin.
I want him to play next to Anthony Edwards.
You're not going to do that for your whole career
because Kauai's probably got,
like, I don't know,
two good years left in them before he starts to fall off.
as of age, probably.
Two years of being a Pippin.
Okay.
Perfect.
Perfect.
Okay.
Next.
Chet and SGA.
So is it still Chet or is J-Dubb their second best player because of
Chet went outside?
I feel like we keep oscillating there.
I've always personally believe it's J-Dub because of the certain limitations that
Chet does have offensively.
And of course, all of those things like just continue to get proven,
especially with the last series that we've seen him in.
And we've seen how.
vastly important Jadab is and how he just
does so much for their offense and is
a literal force in unit
interior when it comes to being another
playmaker for them to shooting stuff is important
as well even though it's been like up and down
as of late he's so important I think it's them
too rather than Chet Chet's good and he's
you can argue to me he's equally
important and I'll let you have it
but ultimately like I'll always believe like it's
always been Jada and Shay. Now's the time
if you get that shit off because right now like you said
this playoff run or keep saying
run this playoff series
when B made everything you said about him completely true
it's Wemby
it's J Doe it's J Dove
and I think if we did those two
I think we could say STA
I think I mean
they are they are super
accomplished you have
you have a guy that has reached
in in Shea that
has reached the top so you have the high end
talent with him you have the you have a guy
in Jad who scored 40 in the finals game
has come through in big moments as
Elite defender too is as complimentary.
I would say, I would say S-tier for that, for that duo.
I need shit to start shooting some quick jumpers, man.
It's, you can't.
He can't, though.
He can't.
Well, if he could, he would.
He can improve.
He can get your shit off.
He's done it before.
Like, his shot has not always been this slow.
He's shot it quicker before in his career.
In college, he was a pretty quick trigger guy.
But I don't know.
I mean, if he could, he would.
As currently, as today, he can't.
I would hope he can get back to that
because that's all he needs like
I mean regular season in first two rounds
he was completely fine there was no convos
no type of worry he had the best year of his career
he was amazing second DP OI
good role man
you played the son you played the sons in what was left of the
Lakers yeah so I'm not I'm not saying he was like
I should be bigging that up but like convo is fine right
so we know that he has the skill set to be fine
in most parts already against the top level
defense and top level big man like that
you just have to be a real stretch big
like that's what comes down to I don't need
him to be a put the ball in his hands,
playmaker guy or like a great finisher
at the rim. I would love that
and it seemed like he could be that at one point. If that's never the
case, cool. You need to be a real
stretch big. You need to actually provide
five out spacing and make teams pay and have a
quick trigger to get off contested shots
and not we swing the ball to you and you pump fake
and start jabbing and doing this bullshit spin jumper
because you're scared to pull it too fast.
You need to be one of the most impactful
stretch bigs that has a real, real
spacing threat. And he's not.
He's not right now. And I can no longer
just like give him passes and say,
I appreciate his strengths in spite the weaknesses.
Like, that it is clear now in two playoffs,
that that is a debilitating issue for you,
that the whole idea of you only translates to the playoffs
if you can be a real shooter.
A lot of times we have stars that struggle in the playoffs,
and it's like, it's real abstract,
that they just got locked up or they just shot poorly,
and it's like, we'll assume they get better from this, right,
just off of like natural learning from what you went through.
His is very vanilla.
It's very black and why of how he needs to get better
and what the fly is and whether or not you believe it can change,
It is can you be a threat as a shooter?
And it's straight up if you're not that, I cannot give you a pass.
If you do that, I can't assume that you fixed it.
It's the mental, man.
It's the mental too.
And I know we harp on that.
It's really not, though.
That's not the story to me.
It definitely matters.
And like, what you was in his head.
If he could shoot threes with a quick trigger, that shit would matter so much less.
He's not, I think that even when he had stuff, he had open shots where he could get his,
his long edge jumper off and still didn't even want to take it.
It's a combination.
I think for, for the other, for 28 of the teams, the jumper is the thing.
Yeah.
When you play the spurs, it's the jumper and the mentor.
Sure, sure, sure.
Yeah.
And so that's a, that's a different thing.
And assuming that, you know, and it never goes exactly this way, but assuming that we get, you know,
spurs thunder for the next five years, whatever it is, that's going to be something that he has to get over.
But right now, I would say those two are probably A and then.
Shea and J. Doe Bres?
Do you guys know,
another we've made it clear where poverty's not going to do an S?
Do you guys want to reorient things and like,
doesn't see, nobody's in C?
Do you want to move anybody down and like split up A tier?
Um,
like,
I guess I'm asking that because I think,
I guess the Pacers can move down since A's getting pretty crowded.
Yeah.
I would move the Pacers down and then...
The Pacers are sticking out in A, too.
Yeah, I think Pacers can go down to B personally.
Really?
But that's...
So, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
So right now, I think that Pacers versus wolves would be
I think if we're just trying to move somebody down
I think those two are the two that we can put up against each other
and say one has to go
because because the wolves is purely theoretical
and and at least like
Is it though? I mean like they haven't played together
so technically but then so was the Raptors
like it's not the I think we know what these players are
and we kind of understand why that could be
we're not asking for improvements from these guys
I think theoretical would be like you want someone to get better
they're just coming together guys that have played a long time
time we know the strengths and weaknesses.
Yeah, something will be in the honest.
Yeah, I wouldn't call it theoretical, just because we haven't seen it.
I mean, I guess you're right.
Technically, it is theoretical, but not any more so than most duos.
I think me personally, I would rather, I'd be happy with keeping Tyrese and Pascal there
because you're right.
When it comes to theoretics, like a lot of, I didn't have of these could be that.
But I've seen so much stuff on paper.
And again, we're projecting it.
I feel really good about those who still doing the exact same thing with hopefully
a new and improved roster around them.
Hopefully that that lends to be true.
But I feel good about them being like still great in one of the rest of the league.
Okay.
And I guess A tier is crowded.
Then I think you're saying A if you want.
Okay.
We just got a fat-ass A tier.
Like, how can this mean teams be top to you?
I think we can make friends.
The duos are very good.
They are there.
Like you said, we'll see what the rest of the teams look like.
All right.
Next.
Tyrese and Jalen Brown.
I would say right now.
I think it's going to be Tyrese.
Ugh.
You think B?
What were you going to say?
I was going to say, wow, if this was like a trio's list, then they would be like S here for sure,
because LeBron helps fill in perfectly like some gaps that these two don't have in their game at an elite level just yet.
But for duos, you can give them B.
Yeah, it's funny.
We could do their second duo too, LeBron and Embed.
See?
They have two duos.
Yeah.
Or D, I don't know, whatever you think about the health stuff.
I don't care.
I guess, is it, at these are two best players?
I suppose people will take it as debate because when he beats healthy, he's still in these convos.
He is.
The hell of knows to think about him beat these days, man.
So I'm not, yeah, I'm not really fat.
He made through the season healthy, quote unquote, then the appendix happened.
Obviously, he was still like heavily managed, didn't play a lot of games.
I don't think he played 40, did he?
It was like 37.
He played 42, 43.
Okay, so he crossed halfway, being heavily managed and he has an appendix injury.
I shouldn't even say injury, whatever the fuck you call that issue.
But he made it through the year, but his knees healthy.
So
He just shouldn't be here
Last few years
He played 39, 19 and 38 games
Oh he played 39
Yeah, so he played 39
Yeah, so that's okay
Assuming this
There's two best players
Because of bronze's old as hell
And it's gonna be deferring
I suppose some people
Would tell us they should talent level be A
I will say I don't care
They are B
For these two?
Yeah
Okay so
Do you think they're a better duo
than the wolves
No. Between synergy, no, they're not.
Pacers? I could see that.
Synergy, no.
I could see that. I mean, because I think the Pacers might just be B, but I think it's fine.
I say that Pacers are a better duo because of the complementary nature of Tyrese Halliburton.
I think these two complementary sure they're fine.
They come up with each other in the same way that Tatum and Jalen Brown did in the fact that in the half court is very hard to guard these guys.
Hey, man, we just go.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, we're just going to.
And then you have a roster around him that brings in the playmaking, brings the defense and so forth.
That's fine.
You can have two scoring threats in the half court.
But like stop us and try.
Yeah, like cool.
Like they don't, true.
There's not some amazing playmaker or some great room protector.
That's fine.
We have two guys that are scorers.
Tyrese is like kind of like a shooting guard in essence in the half court.
A shooting guard and a small four that go out there and get buckets.
And it's really hard to defend both of us.
And we can both play off ball too.
So it's not like we're just like two guys that need the ball in their hands.
We are both fantastic offball players.
Pretty goddamn hard to stop us.
So I'll say me though.
Yeah.
I'll buy the argument.
I understand.
people were more optimistic about the team than I am.
And if they want to say A, I'm not mad at it.
But I think B is fine.
Okay.
Yeah, I think looking at B tier,
Jalen Brown is definitely the best, like, second best player,
if that's what we're doing.
Some people might not even say that, though.
Yeah.
But then, like, Tyrese, he kind of brings it down, I think,
compared to KD,
I think he kind of plays in flag.
Well, who they say is better than him as, like the second player?
I see what you're saying, but I think the way I view is more so,
like, this might be the 12th and 13th best player in the league,
so that average is a lot higher than these other duos.
Yeah.
Yeah, we would just keep B.
And also, Katie's better than Maxie.
Katie's like the 10th best player or something at this point.
It's not like it's a massive gap.
Yeah.
And Cooper Flagg.
I think it'll be better than Maxi.
It's not like it's a guarantee.
Yeah.
Okay, next.
Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mowgli.
B again.
Yeah.
They're definitely not A-T-T.
They're just solidified regular B-D-D-D-D-O.
No, you want to go.
lower that's crazy.
You can't go lower.
Look at his fucking race.
I haven't said a word.
Don't say any words.
You don't have to.
I've just said a word.
Zipp it.
I've been said.
Keep it to yourself.
But they're clearly to be.
There's like almost no variance.
Are we sure?
Yeah, it's a positive.
Are we sure?
Unless we want really
spaces out better.
What do they do?
I think the only way we space it out better is if we open up to the idea of putting some guys in S tier
of just calling them like straight up you're one of the best two guys, synergy guys in the league or whatever.
But I can't see a clear one though for S tier.
Like nobody stands out in this A tier to me.
I think the only few clear ones right now who have like a proven shot record and also like we can see why are you laughing someone.
Because you know good in that world we should do.
I do it.
I'm open to doing it.
But it can't be them alone though.
Yeah, like, what the fuck?
It can't be them alone though.
I could put cat and Brunson there.
They put somebody else in there.
I could put Kat and Brunch in there.
But also I got to put Yokic and Jamal Marie in there too.
Yeah.
So then we start that trick.
Oh, then I got to put Luka and Reeves.
And I got to put Kawhi and his guys guys.
I don't have to put Luce.
Put the duos who've won chips together up at us.
That's so lame just because they watch chips.
That's a little bit too tall.
That's a little bit too tall.
That's lame.
I think last year if we were to call Jamal Marie and Yokchchch is the best do in the league.
We should.
I think, okay.
That carries on.
Listen, so out of, out of the ones in A tier, obviously I voted Kat and Brunson S tier.
If we were, in this moment, if we were to go with who's higher, I would say Shea and Chet over Yokic and Murray.
But we definitely can't push Shet in S tier.
So you see what I mean?
These guys are just peers in A and that's fine.
To me, the issue, there's two guys in C.
What it sounds like is there's two, there's two duos who can't make it in the club right now.
because of outside circumstances
and one that meets the criteria
but they are not being selected.
There's no club right now.
Nobody's worthy.
I see six peers.
I think the Pacers should move down.
I see six peers in A that has no real reason
to bring any of them different.
Because the championships
that you're talking about, the last three
that are on here in A tier
were in the era of starting five's winning championships
and not duos.
All those teams, those duos weren't moving mountains alone.
Maybe there's no duos
that could move mountains alone anymore in history.
I think we'll see it again.
We'll see it again at some point.
Maybe.
But maybe not this year.
And that's okay.
But that's something like I think we should adjust expectation.
And I hate this, man.
And then years prior going forward.
Again, we don't,
S doesn't have to meet.
There has to be somebody that we tear list so graciously all the time.
And I feel like,
we just went the other way, though.
From graciously tearlessly.
Yeah.
No, we have to have some type of medium, I think.
No, but I get it though.
Yeah.
If nobody stands out, that's,
fine. But again, to me, the question is there's nobody
can see. Like, that's the bigger gap to me.
C's so peculiar. Okay, we keep one.
C's mad, interesting. I told you
put a C. Last one, Victor 1, Bingama,
and Steph Castle. Ah. Nice.
Oh, there you go, A.
They got one B.
Come on, man.
So, okay, you guys don't have to agree with him. We don't have to do it this way.
I'm over the opinion that it's okay if S tier and tier less has nothing in it.
Like, we always assume it has to be tier one. And I think we do a
I think it's okay there's nothing in there.
So who were candidates to move down for you?
Pacers.
To see?
Don't know.
No, that's what I thought we were asking.
No, it was to be.
Actually, I also mean, I'm acting like we have to change things.
This is just laid in land in the league, it's fine.
Like, we don't have to change things.
Let me not force it.
Okay.
If you want to say there's no all-time duo, like we've usually seen from every, literally
decade between 2000s to 2010s to now in the 2020s,
I don't think so
but y'all can disagree again
it's not my list
we're still waiting
I feel like
I mean if everything goes well
everything goes well
but Janice and Bam
they could be an all time duo
I can kind of see it
I agree I was thinking that's the one
he scores 803
I was thinking that
that's the one that maybe
could break in but that's a lot
of assumption
and I figured not everybody's me behind that
yeah
but I could if it goes well
if it really is if Bam could shoot real well
because if Bam's three point shot
is really falling with the gravity
of Janus
what does really fall and look like
to you for man
Because the shot quality is much higher, 37 and a half on good volume, being a real stretch five.
And both these guys, you can't stay in front of them because not many five can stay in front of BAM.
And if they can, they probably need to defend Janus.
Now we got fours and three trying to defend BAM.
And it's just a really hard thing to deal with as a team, unless you have that crazy versatile defenders.
He, yeah.
I can see that world.
I don't know if I could.
That's the only one I could make an argument for because I also think that if any of these deals were there, if anyone was to like really surprise us.
I think they would be like the new,
new found crown champions.
Yeah.
Or if Wemby,
if either Castle or Harper breakout and have the star guard,
that could be one of those two
because it's fucking Wemby.
And I suppose you could project that.
If you think Harper's gonna be a superstar on your two.
Also, for what is worth,
I do like the duo of Scotty and Kauai,
a tier above Wembe and Castle in Shay and Chet.
Like as a duo, as a parent.
I don't, see, I don't, I think Wembe and Share
like just carrying that conversation
a little bit too much from me.
I can see that point.
Okay, for as a duo, I can understand that, but I have fears about Kauai and how, like, think about it.
Once the last time you've seen Kauai in a conference finals?
19.
That's a long time ago.
Yep.
And just the hell thing.
Like, he was cool last year, but he could not be cool this year.
Yeah.
I'd rather believe in, like, the attention of someone else on the Spurs right behind Wembe.
But I do think you raise an interesting point of, like, should we reward balance of duo more than just like, yep, your best plan in the world?
You get to be high on the duo list.
low key yeah i can see that argument
but again
chet's an all-star and i think we all think castle's really good
so it's not like it's carrying yeah it's not like it's not shagin caruso
that's what it was in the playoffs
it was yeah it was it damn sure was
but again if we believe that that's a ridiculous
of what we're going to see next year then we could drop the thunder to beat you
know what season's about to start
got to get all the shots off drop wimby
drop wimpy
what
You gotta get on to produce a quarter.
Please.
I'm just following what you said.
I'm agreeing with you.
I didn't bring it up.
But you know what?
Now that you say it.
Now,
say dropshay and Chet, too.
It's good logic.
Well,
I would say,
I would say to that.
Obviously,
Chet had the terrible series
against the Spurs,
but Chet also has proven more in the league
than Castle has
in terms of having an all-star
having a start-to-finish season.
So they could say,
but if you think that like one B is carrying Castle
whereas I think Chet holds his weight a little bit more
than Castle holds it.
And I think again, we are projecting,
I do think Castle's gonna hold his weight
just fine is coming here.
The real thing is like there's a lot of the guards.
So I guess we could drop Shay and Chet
because that's just not the deal that I would pick
for them.
Well, do you want to just pretend that's J-dub then just because
yeah.
It's by everything's day.
She got to be there regardless.
Either way, I think either way,
they can just be A.
Yeah.
They should be back-to-back champs of J-Dub to get hurt.
or at least back-to-back finals, not to write off the Knicks there.
But, like, they should be fine.
J. Deb got hurt and A.J. Mitchell got hurt.
I mean, I act like the duo either way without Shea.
Like, Shea plus All-Star and requisite amount of ball handling, they're fine at A-tier regardless.
Yeah.
I think we're set then.
A-tier duos.
We do have the right, you know, curve balance there.
Out of all these eight-year-doros, who do you think could, like, sink the most?
We drop.
Oh, Pacers of Tyrese up if Tyresell-Halbert doesn't come back, healthy.
You know, not one, not really anybody.
at all really. These are all kind of really good duos.
Yeah. Unless like Kauai just doesn't, like, gets hurt or whatever.
Yeah, yeah, that's its own. Everybody can hurt. Yeah.
Yoko J. Murray could feel very, like, carry job by the end of the year.
If Jamal, if last year was like a big outlier and Jamal goes back to just doing what he
had been doing, then that could feel like a pretty big gap by the end of the year.
Yeah, or even just like, duos ran its course. We need a new style of play. Maybe no one's
terrible but like teams of we kind of know how this works by now yeah i can see that okay yeah like
if jamaal's not showing like step curry then it's a difference but honestly i i think this is fitting
we've talked a lot about like should we go s you put guys down in a year in which a lot of stars
move teams it makes sense that we have these new duos and make a tier really inflated but also like
it's a lot of new duo so there's not a lot of ones that just finished dominating or anything so
there's not a current s tier in the age of parity makes sense that there's no all
duo right now.
Okay.
Age of parity
plus age of
teams win games,
which they always have.
But you know what I mean?
Like starting
fives are more important
than ever.
Okay.
Kind of does make sense.
Yeah,
I can definitely understand
that logic.
But Harper and one
you can break this
a year and a half.
Harper and one beer
going to be a yes too.
I could see that
as well.
I could definitely
see that as well.
I can't.
You can't?
No.
Them being an all-time
duo in Dylan
Harper's year or two.
No,
no, I said soon.
Not this year.
Like the trajectory
of that for sure
whatever.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Whatever.
You're four, whatever it is.
Whatever Harper's ready to be a superstar,
that'll be the next S-tier duo, I think.
He better be ready quickly.
I think he can.
Or if the Lakers crash and fail
and they trade Reeves for a wing that can defend,
then obviously Luca plus complimentary duo
could get to S-tier.
I don't think it's happening,
but some people will tell you well.
We'll see.
Scotty for a Laker, sir.
Scotty for Austin Reeves?
Yo, Scottie,
you, Luca would hate Scotty.
What he?
Off the court, yeah.
That's too goofy.
Luke is a goofy.
guy.
He likes that.
Scottie level of goofy. I mean, no one is.
No one is that goofy. I know. There's limits.
But I think he can tolerate some goofball this.
Yeah. Luca had some, he had some whimsy to him.
It's not like, it's not like Scotty's like Lamello doing stupid shit.
He just laughs.
Yeah.
Luke is a gamer.
Scottie's also a gamer.
He's also a gamer?
He's also a gamer.
Oh, I didn't know that.
He's like ranked.
Yeah, he's like, legit.
I don't know if he is like these days, but.
I had no idea.
I was like from 2020.
A lot of NBA players are like,
he's a newly divorced.
single dad, he's a gamer still.
Or he goes the other way.
He's just outside now.
True.
We're both.
Probably both.
We're both.
Why can't you game and be outside?
Exactly.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's break the mode.
Okay.
I think we did a good tier list.
Who will look cheerless?
With that being said,
it is time for Producer Corner.
Be Souls.
What are we discussing today?
All right.
Wanted to follow up on a conversation we had on house call.
Wanted to ask you guys,
who would be the best?
at the following jobs.
Okay.
Okay, starting with lawyer.
Isaac.
Probably Isaac.
But I could see Donovan
making a good case.
Donovan, I get the argumentative
title.
Donovan is just as argumentative,
if not more than me.
And he's more calm about it.
Maybe he'd be a good lawyer.
It depends what,
my defense?
No, you know what it is too?
You'll argue about fucking anything.
I'm more argumentative
when it's something I care about.
I'll be like very,
I'm very passionate
when I choose my spots.
You'll argue about the
stupidest things in the world and have a very strong standpoint.
I'm the public defender.
Yeah, you are.
You'll argue and take it.
Who needs a lawyer?
I'm getting you free today.
Any topic ever, you'll argue and have a strong point as if you thought about it your whole
life.
Whereas if it's stupid, I'll be like, I don't fucking know.
So you're a better public defender.
Which I think makes a better lawyer because you can do more things.
But if I'm like, I really think he's innocent, I don't understand.
That's easy.
Okay.
Next.
Teacher.
What grade?
Yeah.
Let's do middle school.
Let's do elementary middle school and high school.
Other.
Elementary school, Beesles.
Okay.
Just be jolly to hold.
Yeah, I feel like you can work with kids.
Yeah.
Yeah, I can see that.
Middle school is the hardest one because they're assholes.
You have to have a lot of patience.
And like, but they're smart enough if you can talk to them, but they're assholes.
I think I think you're the best middle school teacher.
I think I do good in middle school because I have, I grew with like hell of siblings.
I know how to deal with that on the.
eldest between me of my household too
and I think I know how to
connect with them through like the middle
point of where they're at in life
yeah okay yeah I don't think I can't see you
like
I think also you
I think you joke with them
the most probably
but there's a fine line there
yeah yeah I think you probably get the least
frustrated with that type of thing
yeah whereas I'm like I'm not doing this
fucking job there's no chance in hell
these little assholes I can't deal with it
I can be a high school teacher but I can not
middle school.
High school is like,
but like I could see you
for like eighth and ninth grade.
I could see you being the teacher that like
kids go like
go back to visit.
Either either that or like
during lunch like you hang out during
yeah.
Okay.
I can see that for you.
Okay.
High school college.
Who got that between.
Oh college.
He's gonna be the best professor.
College professor.
Who's an expert in their field?
Who's academic?
Who's high school?
I don't know.
I think high school's the easiest
to be a teacher. You think so? Man, they have high school coaches coaching history.
Yeah, it depends what, it depends what subject. Yeah. Um, I think you'd be a nasty gym teacher.
Like you really gym social studies. Is that a back at a compliment? No, a gym teacher. No. I don't know.
Like, is that like a noble, like is that, is that a compliment this thing? You'd be good at coaching gym to high school that you don't want to be there. Like they would, I think out of all the subjects, that's when to probably obviously like you, it's a, it's a,
natural thing for you but also on top of that too with how experimental you'd be in like how
how you'd like educate these kids and shit I think you would I think I can be a good math teacher
you'd be a good math teacher too be whatever you want I appreciate you speaking of
therapist yeah that's your thoughts again I get I you know what yourself day one you got 30
patients you got to go through for the whole next week
again right now i think i think i could do it i think i would be very good at it
so i'm i'm gonna i'm gonna hold serve like i i think that i would be very good at that
these guys who are listening to this or watching this right now they're so lots because
they don't fucking tap into house call nif feels fucking yes if you're a td3 fan go to last episode of
house call episode 67 and go watch the last 15 minutes of it we had a deep conversation
about dunovan's ability to be a therapist i think i could do a surprise surprise
Yeah.
Okay.
Next.
Streamer cameraman.
Streamer cameraman.
Someone who just doesn't say anything pretty much and just...
Yeah, for like eight hours at a time.
Ooh, eight hours?
Holding a camera.
That can't be for me.
Yeah, so basically it's like someone has a good patience and like someone that could like stand for a long time and have focus and not like the opposite of me.
I cannot sit still for that long.
Like I need the dopamine spikes.
I need to be on my phone.
You're not sitting still though.
Trust me.
You're doing all times.
Yeah, maybe sitting still is the right thing.
My feet's going to hurt after an hour.
be distracted.
Like, I need to, like, check my phone and shit like that.
Like, I need the dopamine spikes of, like, looking around and, like.
But you also got to be detailed, too.
Make sure you're, like, the guy you're, the guy who's stream is always in frame.
Wi-Fi straight, no latency and all that.
Yeah, I can do it creatively, but I would lose my fucking mind.
I can't do it.
You're like the actual cameraman.
Yeah, I would need to have lots of bad.
Yeah, that's a hard one.
I don't know.
Maybe I could.
If stamina was an issue, I think I'd be the best in the game, low-key.
Yeah, you could probably do it.
Yeah, that's a lot of.
Yeah.
you.
Next, Uber driver.
Best in the game.
Hey, I'd shut the fuck up, wouldn't speak to people,
and I would drive safely.
That's Loki.
I wouldn't speak to anybody.
All I want from Uber driver.
I wouldn't sit on a phone.
It would be quiet.
I'd probably have one earbuddy and listening to a podcast.
Wouldn't say a damn word to anybody.
Do you have a gauge of who the safest driver is between the three of y'all?
Mo, you drive fast?
I think you're not the safe driver, are you?
I mean, you're not a bad driver, but like, comparatively.
You're not like a cautious driver.
Are you?
I never felt in danger when I'm in Mo's car.
Yeah.
I don't think I'm a dangerous driver.
I can't push it once in a while, but every way.
You start and stop more abruptly than I do.
Yeah.
But like not in a dangerous level.
I'm a very cautious driver.
I think Donovan probably is too.
Okay.
I drive my car and Eco moved to most of the time.
What's that?
What's that mean?
Like cautious with gas.
Yeah, you can't accelerate as fast.
It's like having lead.
Yeah.
Okay.
Because I don't, I don't even like.
Because my car is on Eco right now, but I didn't, I don't know what it was changing.
Yeah, you can't accelerate as fast.
if it has like eco comfort and sport
which is what mine has
I keep mine on the middle
because eco like it's it
you celebrate too slow
it's like annoying
coming out of a stop sign
I can't do it
but I keep on comfort
I never use sport mode
I use it once in a while
like when I absolutely have to
like when I'm about to
when I have to like
force myself into a lane
not kind of force myself
into a lane
and I know there's like
pre-stice or whatever
you shift gears
like it's fast and furious
I got to
for like literally five seconds
that's hilarious.
Sport mode used to be the default on my car.
No, that's insane.
Premium gas is too expensive.
I can't do it.
I got to keep on comfort at least.
After I keep it on sport mode for like a minute or whatever
and then I see my shit drop by five, I'm like, oh, hell not.
And I got a premium gas car as soon as the war and Iran started, so as soon as gas prices
been crazy, like literally like the same week, I am not.
That shit all sport mode ever.
It's so expensive.
Especially if I'm on a on ramp going on the highway.
I'm speeding.
Yeah, so the answer is.
Not him.
Definitely not me.
Definitely not you.
And I suck in like city city traffic.
Oh, city traffic I'm a lead at.
So maybe it would be me.
Yeah, both of us.
I think, yeah, you're used to driving in New York.
Yeah.
I'm pretty good at like not getting overwhelmed by stuff like that.
Yeah.
So I think I'd be, I could be in New York City Uber driver.
Okay.
Next.
Chef.
Donovan.
Not everything in twice.
He's brought me a piece.
Not a piece.
You bought me a whole loaves of bread before, before the show started.
Loves of bread.
And you made some recently, too.
I'm back on it though.
I haven't, I have this, this week, well, actually, no, because I'm going, I'm actually traveling this week.
But where are you going?
Going back home.
Oh.
But I'm back on it.
The bread.
Did you make it?
No.
That's why I didn't get my slice.
I knew it.
I know.
But next week, next week, there will be bread.
Elite too.
So definitely.
I don't get the fuck about cooking at all.
I just like make sure I know how to do the most regular shit ever.
But I think if I put my heart into it, I think it could be a decent cook.
Of course.
Be whatever you want.
All right, last one.
Journalist.
Like a traditional journalist.
That was all of our majors.
I can't be like an editorial writer.
Like I try to go to school for it.
Like you want me to do a reporter?
Yeah.
Let's say,
it will be a comparison right now.
Well, yeah, we do that's a comparison.
Like a editorial writer that writes like opinion and columns and like or a reporter.
Dan and Rissini.
Yeah.
Dan and Rishini.
I think Donovan.
He has the most reporter name to.
Donovan's food here.
Reporting.
Channel 2,
Live Action News.
You have a name.
I'm sure you have a name, like a name of a reporter who just like stands down and has been like the reporter community, a big part of it for like the last 20 years or whatever.
Your name just flows really well.
Yeah, I went to school to be journalists.
I had zero intention of being a reporter.
There was no world in which I was going to get quotes and report and stuff.
I was going to be straight editorial and stuff like that.
That's what I was doing until basically until my first job because even senior years.
year I guess senior was a little bit different because I had like an internship and I wasn't doing
like actual report I was doing more like copy editing and stuff but the whole time through there I was
doing like journalism reporting like like yeah like going to games covering it all that stuff like that's
what that that's where I thought my lane was going to be yeah I'm a digital media guy I hate interviewing
people in that to that regard like going up to a scrum and being like what did you see in the third
quarter there yeah yeah I can't stand that yeah I was I was doing that
Yeah, that's your bag.
What was the game plan to stop so-and-so?
I can't do it.
Nervous as hell, though.
Going into the scrum was awful.
All right, and that's it.
Cool.
Salute.
I think Moe would be the best stripper.
What?
And with that being said, we are on to TikTok time.
Let's go.
Welcome to TikTok time.
Today we are once again going to begin with a 2V2 draft,
missing up the teams.
Today, it is me and Mo versus Donovan and Beasles.
I believe last two times, last few times, I think me and DeSle won two times ago,
and then me and Mo just won, right?
No, me and Donovan just won.
Yeah.
Can I go three in a row?
Are you prepared to continue my streak?
I don't know, man.
I feel not as confident, but I ain't a lot of B.
You've lost two in a row inversely.
I sold you B last one.
Yeah, it's cool, man.
I picked Junkyard Dog over Dyson Daniels and Kiel Alexander Walker.
It will pick to anyone else, man
Well, here's what I'm going to say.
Today is the day where one of us,
maybe multiple of us,
is very likely to sell
because today we are drafting NBA teams
from random teams like always
on the wheel spinner.
Only players with illiteration names.
That's far.
Illiteration names.
Okay.
That might get harder.
We land on the grizzlies or some shit
something you might just freeze up.
Yeah, there's some shit
that I honestly might not know.
So we'll see.
So we'll see.
And try it to take forever.
If you don't know, you don't know,
think the first person that comes in mind.
We go first.
Be sold.
Spin that wheel.
All right, here we go.
I'll take the first one.
We'll see.
Indiana Pacers.
Okay.
All the liberation name on the Indiana Pacers.
I fucking hate the Pacers, man.
Nothing ever stands out about them.
They fuck us every time.
Okay, I'm thinking through all the names,
trying to just whatever the first one comes in mind
because I don't know off the top of my head to you.
No.
I have a guy, but I'm like,
I don't even know if he played for the Pacers.
You just have a guy that has an literation name?
Facts.
He may have been a Pacer, may have not, because he was a slick a journeyman.
Oh, this is hard.
There's one name that's coming to mind.
I know play for the Pacers.
I have one name.
And I can't take forever.
I power forward.
We're getting a passer and hoping we can build some stars around him.
Okay.
Give me James Johnson.
Hey, that's not bad.
That was our name.
That's not bad.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was the name.
He had some years. He was a good point forward.
Okay.
That was the name.
Is there anybody else?
This is a tough one.
It might be a long form clip.
Yeah.
Is there anybody else?
Off the dome.
This is a tough one.
So I don't think any of like the twos that have played for them.
I can't think of any of anybody.
Reggie Riller.
That'll do.
That's how you say it.
Maybe.
Yeah, what if they only had like?
like one in their entire history.
Kyle Corrid ever played there?
No, he didn't.
Kyle Corver didn't.
James Johnson did it.
Or he did, but.
I guess as the other team,
I'll try to see if I can find something.
Just to give you something,
and I won't give you a good one.
Did Ricky Rubio ever play for the face?
Nope.
Hell no, I'd remember that.
Hell no.
Rondo.
The Biggs.
Broin.
Yeah, this is awful.
Seltz's got a decent moment.
Just go out.
to Celtics man please.
Nah, I ain't go lie.
This is tough.
I don't know.
Damn.
Yeah, I'm trying to think of, and even if I'm going down the, like, the alphabet list,
like Alex Sabrina's.
He never played for the Pacers.
Yeah, I know.
I'm just thinking about all the names that.
Did Dwayne Deadman play for the Pacers?
Of anybody that immediately came to mind, it's not happening.
He might if he seems like a Pacer play, but I don't think so.
A little race.
There's no E's, then there's no Fs.
Yo, this is chopped.
I honestly don't know if there's another guy.
I'll look through all the roster.
Yeah, this is.
This is so hard.
We want to friend or something?
Yeah, this is.
Mack McClund was on the Patriots last year.
Five.
Take back.
Take that.
When this doesn't happen, what I'm going to do is the other team default,
look at this patcher's roster and go backwards year by year until you find one for them.
So there's no objectivity.
It's the first one I saw in 2026.
All right.
I just thought it's someone you could have taken.
Celtics, Celtics, Celtic, Celtics.
Actually, save it case patients to come up again.
Mavericks.
Mavericks.
All right, Beasoles, where are you going?
Damn.
Jason Terry.
Oh, no, no.
There's one easy one.
I was thinking JJ for real.
He's just JJ.
Damn it.
Yeah, this is a hard.
There's one easy one.
There's one easy one. There's one easy ones. One I'm thinking of that I hope you don't say.
I don't know.
But it's not even good for real.
It just counts.
Luca,
Galen Brunson,
I'm running through the names, man.
Yeah.
It's your turn so I can't pick, so I'll pull it up just for us.
No, I'm good. I'm good.
I know.
Oh, you got one?
I think so, but I don't know.
We'll see.
No, I don't.
Go ahead.
Think, man.
Think.
Think.
Mm.
E.
Yuck.
God.
This might be another one where we have to get the handbook out.
Nothing from this past year's roster.
Yeah.
Because now that you're saying that there's like an easy one,
I'm trying to think.
That a guy named Kyler Kelly in 2025.
I don't know who that is.
Okay, there's one for 2025.
You're not going to want them, though.
We might have to help each other out here, man.
But I'll give you the default option you have to pick if you can't think of anybody.
2025 has one a notable name that you'll be your default.
2025.
2025.
Nothing on the 26throsby.
Do you even know?
Do you even though?
No.
In 25?
You don't want this guy, so don't think about that.
I'm telling you what your fallback will be.
Yeah.
I don't know.
But I think even over the course of their history, the guys that are coming to mind,
I'm not thinking of anybody.
We might have to take the default.
Yeah, let's take the default.
Wow, two default picks in a row?
Who's the default?
2025, the most recent alliteration.
Marquief Morris.
What?
Who?
Wash, Markief, Post, Yokic, neck.
Okay.
We'll take him at the four.
McClung and Morris, okay.
All right.
For my pick, give me Rajan Rana.
There you go.
Thank God you knew.
That's exactly what I was talking about.
See, that's actually on you.
Oh, my God.
I was sure you know that.
That is your favorite player of all time.
I'm actually going to put that on.
You're in the Gulaq.
You went to hell.
You know what?
That's fair.
That's fair.
I'll take it to the chin.
I'll take it to the chin.
All right.
Next one.
Bro,
we have Ronald throwing lobster McLunk.
Yo,
it's nasty.
New York Knicks.
It's back to me.
Uh,
nobody on the current team is good.
I don't think.
Mm.
Carmelo doesn't count.
Germland doesn't count.
Oh,
G's full name.
Someone O.
It's like OG,
but it's said,
full name.
Like it's an appri name.
Oh,
Google.
Yeah.
That would be a
Yeah, that's not happening.
Would have been
AG in it.
Amarri Stonamar, Tyson, Chandler.
Fuck.
Literally.
This is a tough one.
Yeah, no, literally, bro.
I don't like this one.
Yikes.
K. P. doesn't have one.
Initial.
His nickname is his initials.
Wow
This is rough man
Nix
Yeah you pulled the default for me
Yeah
Okay
I surely there's
I gotta think of one
Well actually I can't pull up
It's my pick
Okay
Mokans
I'll pull it 2026 and start going backwards
Yeah
Okay
I love we have like a shot clock again says
You can't think anybody
You get bullshit
Yeah I've one name in mind
And that's it
It's not like
it's not amazing
but it will do
it will do for us
oh my god I'm blanking this is a hard team too
all the best ones
their most obvious ones aren't on here
can I get a Pistons or something Jesus
Jesus
only like
one notable one for real
you found one
yeah but
oh my
this is terrible radio I cannot think of
yeah there's not
it's actually a bad historic list for the next
Yeah, you might have to go.
It's historically bad.
You might have to go default.
I'm defaulting out.
What do I got?
Are you going by year by year?
Yeah.
Nothing for 25?
There's something for 25, but I don't know if that's not a...
It has to be a actual player, not like a two-way.
Oh, okay.
Miles McBride.
All right, I get Deuce McBride.
Miles McBride.
Yeah, the first player that's actually relevant, we had to get them.
Yeah.
Like, other than that, yo, who do you got?
At center, we're going to get stretched five.
We're going to get Jared Jeffries.
Okay.
That's not bad.
You thought of the name.
I did it.
How good was he?
Jared.
Good enough.
Yeah.
This is an exercise of building a good team.
It's about who knows names.
Yeah.
That's all it's about.
And you knew a name and I did.
So you win this round.
Okay.
I mean, you got the better player, though.
Please.
Because I forgot his name was Miles.
We too.
Yeah.
Oh, let's go.
Fuck.
Give me Cade Cunningham.
I just asked for Pistons and they gave it to me.
I got I got you said
I got you said a couple weeks ago
I got to stop manifesting shit
that might have saved us
you arcade
fuck man
okay
there's another one I think
works I'm thinking of
not a kid though
it's an arcade
okay
okay
okay
listen if we get one more
positive spin
I actually know the guy
didn't put him
dumb
Stanley Johnson
you're at Stanley Johnson
Yeah, man.
It's over.
I'm gonna go ahead and get these defaults.
I'm looking at the false right now too.
Hold on, I got it.
Nothing from 2026.
Hold on, man.
My laptop is so slow.
Trying to think of players with alliteration at this point.
Yeah, for the pissings is tough.
There's no.
I was just banking on no and K cutting him.
Yeah, exactly.
There's no A's here.
I'm like going through the rosters right now.
Is there anybody?
We're just being tortured right now.
Yeah, what year are you on?
I'm on year three now.
I'm back to 2024.
Fuck.
Okay.
Oh, my God.
Wait, does alliteration have to be the spelling or the way it's said?
Spelling.
I think the spelling.
Is it?
Because, like, sometimes, you know, is it a vocal thing?
Is it about the sound or is about the letters?
I see, no, it is about the sound, I think.
It is?
Eliteration definition.
Alliterate advice for two or more neighboring words in a phrase or sentence.
repeat the same initial consonant sound.
So it's about the sound, not the letters.
Thank God.
That means we don't get Kevin Knox.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Thank God.
Yeah, that one scared the fuck.
That would suck.
Oh, but I do got a name.
I got two names from this year.
It's a lot.
They're both ass.
Okay.
Go ahead.
You don't want it.
You don't want it.
You better start thinking.
Okay, I'm thinking right now.
I'm still thinking, bro.
You don't want it.
During the Kevin Knox year?
You don't want it.
Let me see.
No, okay.
I got to think,
I got to think past that then.
Who's,
who's on the,
on the,
on the,
on the,
on the,
on the,
on the,
on the,
it's one,
it's one,
it's one of the worst
team of all time.
It's on 24,
but they went 14 and 68.
Please,
save it.
Oh,
man.
You're not gonna know
those guys on the team.
I think you're going to,
no.
Oh,
what do you think you had?
Yeah,
it's default.
Yeah,
I think this is default.
We got Mike Muscala.
Just strikes five.
You can go band for band with Jared Jeffries.
Oh, you know what?
Yes, he can.
Yeah.
We don't need too much.
We're not asking for a lot.
Okay.
Now all we need is pure luck.
We need to get a good player, please.
Yes.
You have the first pick two, right?
Please.
Washington Wizards.
Oh, there's a one, clear one.
Yes.
Oh, that's a three?
Hey, man, we need a good player.
Give me Bradley Bill.
Yeah.
Yeah, just need a bucket.
We're good.
30 points per game.
I win.
Hell yeah.
I win.
He's not better than a Cade.
Yeah, but we got a lot of...
We got Rondo, bro.
It don't matter.
Rondos will be inside Cade's fucking head.
We got Rondo, we got shooting.
We win.
Yeah.
Bro, we have Caden him.
You literally, it's a NEM.
It's just on NEM.
For sure.
I really just have the Pistons.
Cates played with this top of tub before you're right.
All right.
Oh, I got one.
Go ahead.
Is your turn?
Oh, it is my turn?
Just take it.
Oh.
Paul Pierce
Okay
Oh yeah
There you go
Good good there you go
Got one of you guys
We call game
Yeah
Okay
So do we get a wash
version of Paul Pierce
Yes
Yeah sorry bud
So we get
Okay so you'll get
Dallas Rondo
Yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah but we get Kade
And clutch
Shoot in Paul Pierce
Sure
Okay
And you get Mark Keith Morris
Post neck injury
You got a non-MBA
player
And Jerry Jeffries
He's a Dunker
Joe Jeffries
No
McClunk
I'm a clunk
Yeah
We have Rhonda
We have a play finisher
In McCloan
Stretch 5
Heliocentric guard
And a closer
What else do you want?
A closer
A closer
One of these funniest drafts
Of all time
I think we got it
Yeah this is tough
There we go
The concept of just
Being a closer is a late
And also he just closed
One time
One notable
Famously
Closing moment
moments and that was a closer.
In that uniform.
Hold on.
I think I had like two game winners that series.
Oh, did he?
Two moments.
And then perfect.
He's a closer.
Yeah.
And the series does actually very big.
No, I'm serious.
He's a closer then.
I'm not taking it away from him.
Fuck that guy.
Damn.
Happened to me.
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Damn.
What happened to me?
Paul Pierce.
Oh.
I was watching that shit live when I was like 14 years old.
Broke my heart, bro.
Tough.
Yeah, that was.
quite the difficult puzzle to unravel for that.
Speaking of, today,
we are going to solve NBA riddles
that be sold together.
He told us yesterday, he texted us saying
that he's going to have us in the blender today.
No, he said, y'all going to respect my pen.
So you better have pen some shit up.
We're all NBA fans. We all know the history of the league.
Do we know it via riddles? Let's find out.
All right, man. First riddle.
An NBA player's favorite,
an NBA player's favorite place to eat,
a meal here would be considered a cheat.
Whoa.
So we're guessing the player?
It could be anything.
Just NBA related.
Okay, are we guessing a player or what the fuck?
Yeah.
A meal here.
So we're guessing a place?
Yeah.
Okay, it's a place.
An NBA player's favorite meal to eat.
Okay, the typos fucking.
Yeah, yeah.
An NBA player's favorite place to eat,
a meal here would be considered a cheat.
A cheat.
A cheat?
A cheat.
A cheat meal?
or is this like a cheat code thing situation?
I have no idea what the answer like.
Considered a cheat.
It should be for real.
A place to eat.
A place you'd eat.
Like a restaurant or a fast food chain or something like that.
Yeah.
An NBA player's favorite.
So I'm thinking like a meal here would be considered to cheat.
So I'm thinking like junk food.
Favorite meal to eat.
People are eating what like burgers, wings.
It's popping out of that simple though because that doesn't make sense as a riddle.
Yeah.
And we're guessing like the restaurant, right?
Yeah.
I'm cooked.
Is this crumble cookies?
No.
What?
You're just guessing things that would be a sheet deal for a player?
Yeah.
But SBA is a riddle.
You know, so that's like makes sense.
And it's kind of like a pun, I'm guessing.
Yeah, these are still like NBA riddle.
So it's like basketball NBA related.
That's what makes sense.
We're cookies, though.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Okay.
Okay.
You get a steal.
Yeah, okay.
Fair.
I see what you're cooking up.
Could this be like clippers related somehow?
Hmm
Probably should be
I think we're just cooked
Here I think this is a hard riddle
Yeah
Donovan said
Respect my pen
It's never cooked
Let's sit up
It's never cooked
It's locked up
Okay
I consider myself
A literary guy
I gotta lock in
A meal here
Would be considered a cheat
An NBA
We can't forget
Disregard the first part
An NBA player's
Favorite Place to eat
Maybe it's about a specific
player
Is this about a player
That cheated on his wife
Or something
it's not a player
it's a place
okay
you can't rule anything
Fares
With the car
Let's
Yeah
Fares
Blender
A meal here would be
Considered a cheat
So I'm
I'm looking at it
As a cheat meal
That's
I will say
You are correct
On that front
It is
Yeah
But it's a cheat meal
Clearly
But it also a name
That relates back
To being a cheat
In basketball
So
When you're
I've due with like
I don't know
Lou Will
Magic City
fucking
fucking being a clipper
I'm thinking
if there was a
restaurant that was called
like steroid burgers
that's a cheat
because it's
so how
so but
so if you're in the Lee
how are you cheating
then
yeah something like
steroids stuff like that
but
there's no name
of steroid burger
are my thinking
in all the right lines
not really
no okay nope
no not that
I think we're cooked
I think we're fucking
all right
not giving up
yeah
no
keep up with them
wait wait
let me let me
Let me get one more guess.
Go ahead.
Get your less push.
Yeah, let me get one more guess.
We owe that to you.
Thank you.
Okay.
If we're, okay, if we're thinking about cheap meals, though,
I'm thinking either like burgers, wings,
or maybe some dudes do, like big, like big breakfasts,
like, you know, like hella pancakes or whatever.
Is this, it's just like, like, like, I hop or something?
Or like maybe like.
You're getting closer.
You are getting closer.
Like a waffle house?
You are getting closer.
It's not that, though.
Consider it a cheat
The cheat is like a pun, right?
Like there's another meaning.
No, it's just like if you ate here, it would be a cheat meal.
Is that a riddle?
No, I mean, it'll make sense.
Okay, okay.
Come on, man.
So it's a long, those lines.
I'm, I can't solve this.
I'm cooked, you got it.
This is the first one.
Dunkin' Donuts?
Yes.
Dunkin' Donuts.
An NBA player's favorite place to eat because they be Duncan.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
This is literal.
Yeah.
Can I tell you some?
What's up?
Not a good riddle.
I was thinking more complex
like it was tied to a joke.
Me too.
Can't tell you some?
I'm going to rate your pen every time.
By the five stars?
Zero.
It would be a lot of zeros there.
Donuts.
Okay.
I'm not respecting nothing today.
Okay.
Next.
I'm getting them.
Started off as a role player,
became a star in a new situation.
Known for my offensive game, specifically isolation.
No.
Is this Jalen Brunson?
No.
Became a star in the situation.
No.
This is Tyrese Maxie.
No, it's crazy.
Y'all are saying a lot of like, what would be right answers, but no.
Oh, Kobe?
No.
Specifically isolation.
No.
Listen, know your enemy.
Is Payne Pritchin?
No.
Okay.
Hell no.
Put Payne Pritchin in a riddle game?
So the best
There's a big emphasis on isolation
though
And it'll make sense
Once I would do it
I sold Joe Joe Johnson
I don't know man
There you go
Oh
Okay okay okay okay
Okay in isolation
See that's a riddle
There you go
Okay
Three out of five stars
Three out of four out of five stars
The sun should have never let him go man
They fucked up bad
Good riddle
All right next
Played with Dwight in Orlando
But the ring never came
Where I'm from
Look at my last name
Ah
So a guy who's from where he
Is it named after
Houston
No
It's a player
I know
I don't know
Like Alan Houston
What the fuck the last name
Caleb Houston
I know he's like
I know he played white
But you know something like that
All right
I was not cheat
And say a last name
I was right
That's named a place
That also was called a name
That team
Had Jemir Nelson
Michael Petris
Barhing Gortat
he do turkey glue
there it is
he do
turkey glue
because there it
he's from turkey
okay okay
okay
there we go
come on man
respect the
respect the pain
all right
is he
is turkey
has turkey
he's from there
or just starts
with that name
it just
it just
it just
sometimes you got
to connect the dots
there you
all right
add my jersey
numbers up
to
add my jersey
numbers
to reveal my
identity
the NBA
great
whose total
comes out to
80
oh
add his
jersey numbers up who had multiple jerseys
it's not lebron
it's not jordan only had two numbers and
one's 23 is not getting close to 80
Kevin durant 35 and 7
not that it is jordan
is jordan is jordan is jordan 23 45
he wore 12 one day
oh yeah forgot about that
there you go Michael jordan okay okay
I could have counted the Olympics and made it 89
but
it's not too much
All right.
Next.
Refs called the game.
TSA checks your name.
Their jobs are different,
but how are they the same?
That's good.
That's good, right?
Right.
Okay.
TNA checks your name.
Their jobs are different,
but how are they the same?
Let's see.
So,
refs will call...
Meek Millbar.
Ruffs will call fouls,
charges.
Did not really secure you?
D.
They are
TSA is more
like defense.
It's like
PJ Tucker or something
like that.
No.
It's like a phrase.
He's asking how
reps and TSA are similar.
PJs.
Is this PJ?
I'm like,
are you trying to insert a play into this?
Listen,
man,
I'm just throwing shit.
Two jobs.
One of the similar.
PJ Tucker.
It's always the answer.
How are you saying?
He really don't know where to go, but he's biased.
I don't.
They both take his shoes off.
Metal detectors are involved with one, not the other.
They throw the ball up.
Was hand checking?
I don't know.
No, no.
They both check your bag.
Oh, they can't carry.
They both screen or call out screens?
No.
I think they both check bags.
I think I win.
So it would be a good answer, but no.
All right.
I'm cooked then.
You got it.
Another victory for you.
All right.
But is it good writing?
Huh?
But is it good writing?
Let's see.
Hey, travelers.
Ah, good writing.
That's actually good.
That's your first big hit.
That's actually good.
Five out of five.
Come on, man.
That's tough.
All right, next.
It's a good one.
We take what you say and make a lot.
and make you look crazy, but not as crazy as how this team is lazy.
We take what you say and we make you look crazy,
but not as crazy as how this team is lazy.
Who's a lazy team that's in the media and is spun a certain way,
but they are lazy?
It's just the clippers.
This is the clippers.
I don't get it.
We take what you say and make you look crazy.
Clippers, like stream clippers.
Okay.
Out of context clippers.
Okay.
Come on.
man, but not as crazy as how
this team is lazy. Who's lazy?
Steve bomber.
I was kind of lost it that in.
Yeah, zero stars in that one.
You don't see the vision. It's okay. They're not lazy.
It's okay. They were lazy with the cheating. That's what I was trying to get at.
Okay, okay. Okay. One star. One star. You got it.
Okay. Okay.
All right, next.
Okay.
This is a scrambled word.
Y'all got to unscramble it.
Okay.
And then, oh, uh, Wong Dong Tigers.
Long Dong Tigers.
I got snigers.
Yeah.
I would have been here a long time before I got Wongdon Tigers.
I've seen that, dude.
That's funny.
The long segment.
All right, next.
Our name suggests a throne and royal things
so you'd expect us to have more ratings.
Who is?
The Sacramento Kings.
Yeah.
You'd expect us to have more rings.
That's good.
All right, next.
First word is something you make in debates.
Second word is what you let down on good dates.
The second word confuse me.
Oh, no, I understand it now.
What you're making good debates, points.
Which you let down in dates, your guard.
Point guard.
Okay.
For a second, I thought, point God.
Yeah.
You let God down on a day.
Chris Fra?
He's like, Todd down on a day.
Todd's disappointed?
Brother, you're going to hell.
Sorry, man.
What did you do?
Okay, next.
I dance whenever shots are green.
I wouldn't be anything without machines.
I dance whenever shots are green.
Is this flight reacts?
No.
funny though.
You don't get anything without
machines.
Maybe it's like
Steph Curry, he does the shimmy.
Is this Steph?
No, this is an object.
Give you all that.
An object.
Any worth out machines.
Nets?
Yes.
Okay.
Nets.
A net.
Like the net moves when you get a nice
smooth switch.
It dances.
I made the net dance.
Okay.
Hey, that's actually kind of tough.
That's kind of tough.
Okay.
Hey, I'm gonna give you that one.
Next time I always hope.
Let's go make those nests dance.
Okay.
Could be the move.
Could be the move.
Okay.
Okay.
Next.
You see it.
My dad and I work together, a family affair, but only one of us needs a jersey to wear.
Who has a dad as a coach?
Jalen.
Brunson.
Yes.
There we go.
I thought you're going to go like a little bit more like past too.
It could have been like Austin Rivers or something like that.
That also would work.
That could work.
But not this time, buddy.
I'm the writer.
All right.
Last one.
I stopped dynasties.
I put a cap on them.
When teams have too many cooks, I'm a nightmare for G&M.
For G&M.
Okay.
I was really proud of this one.
I stopped Dynasties.
these, I put a cap on them.
It's like,
who's the rap lords?
Are you Adam Silver?
The fuck?
No.
Okay.
I'm the second apron.
Yeah.
Okay.
I put a cap on them.
Come on, man.
Run that back.
I'm a nightmare for G&M.
Okay, okay, okay.
Run that back.
What are you feeling like?
Action Bronson?
Something like, I don't know.
Logic.
Logic.
Logic.
Logic.
some logic bars that's a good one i'll give you five out of five pen for that one okay there you go
that's the last one you got like three five out of fives only a couple stakers we solved all of them
except for one i mean i didn't want you to sit here all day i love the difficulty next time but
yeah i did i exceed or underwhelming with my pen game you exceeded my expectations
exceeded i mean i thought that's what i would have done so i think it's cool
that was good
that was good work good work
I respect the pen now
I did believe in you
thank you
oh yeah you didn't
oh yeah you didn't
what did I say
I said
I said respect my pen game tomorrow
he goes yeah
I never said I didn't
that was an affirmation
of me
for me respecting your pen
an affirmation of affirmation
of affirmation
for me
nice
next thing we're gonna do today
So good job.
Great writer here, guys.
Lovely.
Next thing we're going to do today.
We are going to see a list of NBA teams
that B. Souls put together.
It is up to us to name the team
based on only one 2K-27 attribute per player.
Yes.
Five players, five attributes.
Can we name the team we're looking at?
Okay, let's do it.
Are you prepared for the test?
Maybe.
Hell yeah.
I haven't been studying.
Haven't been playing 2K this year.
That's a you problem.
Have you?
I haven't been playing with teams.
It's been on my career.
Same.
All right.
First team.
94 mid-range point guard.
Not a whole lot of those.
68 durability center.
It's not the 76ers.
No.
Because Joel got to be like a 50 durability, bro.
And I don't know if Max is in 94 mid-range.
85 strength power four, a big powerful guy,
which would lead you to believe the six years still.
Yeah.
Mid-range master from small forward.
Good slasher shooting guard.
Really from point guard and your small forward are both mid-range masters.
Yeah, close shot 94, so he can move get downhill.
Yeah.
At a shooting guard position?
It's like an Austin Reeves type.
Is this the Lakers?
No, it's not the Lakers.
Lakers small-for is up and have a 90 mid-range.
They're not given.
Yeah, it's not the Sixers.
Is it the Sixers?
It's not the Sixers, no.
Is it the Hawks?
No.
Debook doesn't have a point guard with the 94 mid-range unless he's that point guard.
But they're not giving Jaylon Green 94 close shot.
I feel like 68 durability for these centers.
He picked that for a reason.
Yeah.
Yeah, we should have a better handle of who the injury-prone centers are in the league.
Is he putting AJ DeBonset shooting guard?
Is this the Wizards?
No.
Okay.
Fuck no.
Then I even trade 94 minutes.
I was like, damn, they're giving 94 close shot to a rookie.
Jesus.
I'm like, I think we'll get there, but come on.
So
I mean
No it's not the Knicks
I mean
I think the biggest hint here
is the 68 durability
and the 85 stream
Powerful power forwards
Is this the Raptors?
No
The strong power forwards
Bruiser
But also
If we just think about the point guys
that are the best miderang shooters
in the league
But not quite because like Shay has like a 98
I'm sure
So not quite best
Yeah
Brunson's public in 96
just below those guys
and the center gets hurt a lot
for close shot
look at one through three
are all bucket getters
90 midrange 94 close shot
it's three buckets
and a center that gets hurt a lot
yeah
I will say the 94 close shot
is a debatable bucket getter
okay
nevertheless he can slash at least
and get to his floaters
debatable bucket getters
that means it's not a bucket getter
oh wait is this is this a Celtics
no okay okay
68 who are these
brittle centers.
Not a lot of them.
I know.
It shouldn't be hard to think of a brittle center
and a strong power forward.
That has to be unique.
Like, it's like the opposite
of Chet and Hardinstein
with their positions.
Yeah, this just doesn't,
it doesn't make sense.
Debatable bucket getters.
Is this like the Blazers or something?
No.
I was saying, that could have been true
because clinging,
I don't know.
He's been hurt before.
I think we're cooked.
I think he got us on the first one.
Could this be the warrior?
Damn.
Yes.
Okay.
94 close off for pods?
Yeah.
He is good at that, but 94?
Jesus.
It's a little bit too much.
That's what I said.
Okay.
I also do be forgetting that Jimmy Butler is like out here on this team.
Yeah.
But okay.
It's a mad forgettable.
Okay.
Okay.
Next team.
58 inside scoring at point guard.
Trey Young is this?
86 block,
83, 3.
Pointer.
89 primary defense of shooting.
guard, 89 midrange, a small four.
This is the
Minnesota's the rules. No.
Damn. Monello's a good call, but they're going to give them good ratings.
Yeah. Inside scoring does suck.
89 per meter defense. It's not the Wizards?
No. I feel like it has to be trying.
58 inside scoring, you stink.
But also, no one's pulling from three like that.
This is the Celtics? No.
It might be like an old Mike Conley type. That's why it's inside
scoring is so low.
Yeah, because I was. The guy's definitely old.
Yeah. Old point guard.
We guys don't get into the lane like that.
Chris Paul's retired.
that's not him.
So the guy's definitely old.
Who's the other Chris Paul in the league still left?
Old guy like that.
That's like brittle and can't get to the room.
And it's starting.
Yeah, it's starting.
Yeah.
Who is an old starting point guard?
That's so rare.
There's not a lot of teams that have an old, old starting point guard.
Like there's...
They have a solid shot blocker.
86 isn't uncrazy.
Kyrie.
But that's definitely not Kyrie, though.
It's not the Blazers.
It is.
It is.
Is the Blazers?
It is the Blazers?
It is the Blazers.
Is that Drew Holiday?
Oh, Liller at 58 inside scoring.
Ew.
Damn.
Yo, 83 points off for Kamara?
Gas.
I'm like a lot.
Fifty eight inside scoring.
That's just mean.
Brother, I think he's coming back
literally like old man Chris Paul.
Yeah, that's a straight cap.
They think he can't move.
No, it's crazy.
I think his driving dunk is still like high.
What the fuck?
Do you can't hate lips?
Yeah, I don't know.
Yeah, it's either wide open or he's not finishing.
Yeah, all right.
89 mid for a Denny.
All right.
Okay.
What was the last thing pulled in midi?
Yeah.
All right. Next.
90 outside scoring for the point guard
A small forward that can handle
87's pretty high for a three
95 offensive consistency
Power forward and a hustler at center
The hustler is at center
95 offensive consistencies
That's tough
That's pretty high
But that's just that they throw around
Willy-nilly though that doesn't matter
They just put that shit on there
To adjust overalls
95 hustle
Is this the Raptors?
No
Okay
Is this the heat?
No
That's a good guess
as soon as I saw hustle
I bet honestly I bet the offensive consistency is ironic
and we're going to think he's not
consistent
I'm
no
if you're a hater yeah
if you're a hater
yeah
I'm kind of banking on this hustle though
is just the wizards
no
I'm gonna get this wizard pool
I'm gonna say it every time
you're gonna pick these motherfuckers at some point
it's not Utah
who are the bigs that are
that are hustling like that
is this the Spurs
no okay
Like, Musa's hustling, but I don't think it's...
Thunder?
No.
I don't think it's the Hornets.
Could it be the Pacers?
It could be, but it's not.
Damn.
In theory, it could be anybody.
And it's not 28 people.
That's the Nets.
Small four that can ball handle pretty well.
That's a lot of these days.
Fuck.
Yeah, I know.
I do think that's one of the biggest sense on me.
Oh, um, hmm.
It's not the Rockets?
Rockets?
No.
So I was thinking, too, I was thinking a man can ball handle a little bit.
I was going to say, this would make sense, but you said Power Forward is consistent.
So it's not this.
Oh, it's the Celtics?
Yes.
Oh, it's a Celtics.
Okay, okay.
Yeah.
Paul George 87 ball handle.
Okay, that makes sense.
Kata does hustle.
That's all he does, yeah.
Running hard.
Derek White is fast.
Yeah.
So.
Fair.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's cool.
Okay.
Next.
Got a little something.
98 close shot
57 block the center cannot
block shots wait 97 vertical
that's insane oh he's a high flyer
had a point a power for that play makes
well this seems weird
is the raptors no
88 three point shot so you have
a doubt you have a doubt an inside demon
a shooter and point guards
a crazy slasher and a jumper
point guards a crazy slasher
and center cannot block a shot
to save his life which means he's probably not a center
like that it's probably like an undersized guy
Did you have some playmaking from your four?
Just the Hawks?
No.
This isn't the Kings, is it?
No.
Wait, did you put, is this the Rockets?
No.
Okay.
57 block is crazy.
Yeah, you're not touching a block.
And it's not Shingu and it's not Sabonis.
It's not C&B because he's small.
And he can block shots, but like...
Yeah.
I will say the 57 block when I saw it, I was like, yo, this is ridiculous.
It's ridiculous.
Are they hating on the pistons?
Yeah.
No, no.
It's not the pistons, but they are hating on the 50s.
But they are hating.
Yeah.
Okay.
57 block is outrageous, bro.
So clearly he still has to not be like a good shot blocker.
All right, but even even then.
To think of them this low.
Even then 98 close shot for the point guard.
Oh, you're getting downhill.
Yeah.
Get into those floaters.
You're moving.
You're next to a three point shooting.
And you're next to an insane athlete.
Like, like 97 vertical.
It's got to be like a man or Shaden Sharp.
Yeah.
It's not the piston
Thinking along those
No, it's not the pistons
That is the right line
I'm thinking though
Yeah like
Okay so star point guard
With a crazy athlete next to him
We know that's Cade
It's not him
With a high leaping
Point guard is not a star
He'd just be slashing
Yes
He just gist there
Allegedly according to 2K at least
There's a lot of a legend
For this team
All right so we got to think of something
That doesn't make sense
Because apparently this is a horrible
Is this the jazz?
No
God no
Who were they giving 98 close shot?
That's a high number.
You don't do it by coincidence.
I think 97 verticals is even more rare, honestly.
I'm thinking of like Jop.
Is this the Bucks?
No.
Is this the Brazers?
No.
Jada?
I know where you saw the Blazers.
Yeah.
Hey, man, we're kind of.
Kind of cool.
Fride.
Is this the Clippers?
No.
This team is closely related to the Bucks, though.
Is this the heat?
Yes.
They gave BAM 57 Block?
All right, bro.
They gave Bamb.
Davy on Mitchell 98 floater
All right man
Clay only has an 883
And why does Williams have a 97
Like he's a men
They got every single thing wrong here
Hey Yanna's 86 play Megan
Okay cool
Salute
What the fuck you know what the hell
You see why I don't buy this right
They're never working with this
No
This is outrageous
This is one of the worst set of attributes
I've ever seen in my life
Wow
This is crazy
Next.
Everything is wrong, though.
Geez.
A big that doesn't hustle very much.
Got a fat ass big.
Just don't be two or nothing.
A three that can defend.
70 driving dump.
Can barely dunk from the point guard.
Shooting guard can really fly.
And Power 4 that's like pretty consistent, but dunk crazy.
He has his moments where he's not consistent, 80.
About 20% of the time, he's like, uh, take a game off.
Shooting guard that can barely, or point guard that could barely dunk.
Let's see.
Is that Cade?
No.
You want to get this Dern Hustling Hussing.
You are right, you're right.
I do.
Is this the,
this the Pelicans?
No.
Don't they say, like Herb Jones.
Yeah, that could make sense.
Hmm.
Pretty good dunker is a two.
They said Derek Queen don't hustle.
Is this?
The Phoenix Suns?
No.
That would make a lot of sense.
Dylan Brooks, 90D, Jalen Green,
89 dunk.
Mark Williams doesn't hustle.
Devin Booker doesn't dunk that much
but it's not.
This isn't the Knicks, is it?
No.
I think you got the archetypes right.
What are the other versions of the Suns?
When I showed it as team, you're going to be like,
yeah, this is not close to the Suns anymore.
Damn it.
Really?
Okay.
They're one of one.
Damn it.
Not close to Sun to the Hall Thunder.
No.
Closer, actually.
Closer?
Yeah.
Spurs?
No.
No.
70 driving, 89 driving dunk.
It's not the Lakers.
Is this the Raptors?
No.
It seems good.
It is a good team.
It's the Denver Nuggets?
No.
Oh, okay.
I was like this.
Not a bad guess.
Not a bad guess.
What are we missing, bro?
Like,
this is a good team.
So the best 90 perimeter defense,
some really good defenders at the three.
And a two that can really slash.
Oh, wait, is this the Timberwolves?
No.
That was my next guess.
Fuck.
Hawks, maybe?
No.
I think we're cooked.
We're saying every team at the point.
Yeah, we've said a model.
This is.
the Philadelphia 76ers
Oh
65 hustle for Embed
You know what I guess all this makes sense
I thought LeBrog's
Offensive consistency was going to be a little higher
Yeah
Also
Does make sense to be lower these days
I guess he gets tired
Maxi does throw it down a little bit more than
These are higher than a 70
How is 70 you can still dunk when it's open
A lot of his dungs are like room grazers
Yeah yeah when he's open
He's not yet he's never dunking in traffic
Okay
All right next
Oh my God a point guard
That cannot defend it all
A big man that makes a big man
that makes every floater
a shooting guard that makes every floater
a small for that makes every floater
you know this guy's just around
these guys are just throwing them up yeah
but the point guard is an absolute liability
on defense
what the hell
is this the Lakers
wizards
99 close shot
Yokic is this the Nuggets
yes okay 59 defense
for Murray damn
wow
DeRosen started
motherfucker put the rose in the
right
Yeah, all right.
The Roza is starting.
Yeah, no, man.
Yeah.
Christian Braun 97 close that is.
Wow.
Shout to Rosen.
The Rosen starting.
Who'll be there.
You think of Camp Johnson was saying?
Yes.
Yeah.
100%.
Absolutely.
100% Cam Johnson starting.
I thought there was a battle between Cam Johnson and Christian Brown for the two.
If that breaks out and happens during training camp, that is the worst news to happen for the Nuggets in a long time.
No, the worst news that happened to Camp Johnson.
Fuck.
All right.
Next.
a point guard that can really rebound,
a shooting guard that can pass,
and a three-point shooting center,
but only kind of absolute liability
on defense power forward.
Kings.
No.
Lakers.
Yes.
Ah.
Yeah, Luca can get some rebounds.
Yeah, Luke can definitely run.
They get triple-double.
They get cancer of 73 already.
From five games.
Oh.
Yeah, 70s like, he can make them sometimes.
That's probably appropriate.
He shot 75% in those five games.
Yo, bro.
Okay.
It could be 85.
85 pass seconds for Reeves
Okay
57 defense
Absolutely gas against
You can fry him
Absolutely gas against
57's like Tray Young
Yeah that's funny
Hey man
Canst her my windy P.O. Why
If mama was a 57 defense
In real life
For Cook and throw the team away
All right next
89 pass reception
What the hell does that mean?
You can get passing wins
You understand it now
You don't know
they can bear it. He don't get it.
Center that can't pass
and a post-fading small four. You don't see
a lot of those.
Post-fade 84.
Post-fading small forward in
2026. We already saw it. Not de Rosen.
I feel like 68
pass accuracy
really means that like this big tries
to pass and doesn't. Yaka-Purtle. This is the
Raptors. No. Damn it. I thought Kaua was in the post-sades.
He probably is. It's probably
higher than 84. So yeah, it's not an
amazing post fader. He's just kind of good at it.
he just would be doing
this is just a standard NBA team to me
honestly
like every player
at these positions
should be able to do all of these things
this is a regular ass
yeah you told me this is the hawks
I'm like okay bet
you know
regular ass team
yeah it is not the hawks
all right who's a three
that plays in the post
start there
because not every small four
is getting an 84 post fade
yeah
like JD McDaniels is not getting an 84 post fade
oh could this be
the Orlando Magic
no now France isn't really post up like that
Also, the line-up's kind of wonky.
The three, we know him as a two.
The three, we know him as a two.
Yeah.
Two that post fades.
A big two, maybe?
This is the timber wolves.
Mo, this is the Timberwolves.
Whoa.
Okay, so they're starting to assume, okay.
Oh, okay.
I think they're going to start commingue in real life.
That's what I was.
Yeah, I was trying to figure out how the-
Yeah, they're going to start comminga.
Okay.
Okay.
So that makes sense.
Fair.
All right.
Next.
Ooh, point guard.
It's a foul merchant.
Power forward that dunks a lot.
Very inconsistent center.
Lockdown 3 and D shooting guard in small forward.
I'm gonna say this is shit.
The Knicks. No.
No.
Thunder?
No. Donovan, what did you say?
He said, Shay.
Yeah, I said no shit.
Another point guy that draws a lot foul is not Shay or Brunson.
Hmm.
Who are these other merchants?
Also, 95 is 99.
You might just be good at it.
He may not do it a ton.
This is the Cavs?
No.
It's a lot of bad guess.
So, so 93-3-3-point shot
He's getting him up
Yeah
Elite shooter
He gets a lot of free throws
A least shooter with a foulmer
It's not the Pistons
It is
It's the Pistons
Yeah, okay
What the hell?
I mean I guess
Offensive consistency
There we go
I should have said that first
Can he gets a 95 dropout
Only 92 defense for Asar
I feel like Keyes biggest weakness
It doesn't get to the rim
Quite aggressively enough
95 dropout
How many fritos did he take a game
As far as perimeter defense
Is like a 99 or something
something.
That makes sense.
It's inside.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, that's total defense.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Jal and Duren's 60 offensive consistency.
They saw that playoff series.
They reacted like a motherfucker.
So what you have to do.
I don't know if it was overreaction or not, but they reacted.
Cade gets in line six times a game, so.
Very okay, is-ish.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Yeah, 95 was insane.
Like, famously, he doesn't get to the line enough.
Yeah.
That sounds.
Yeah.
I think they try to, like, rate these players honestly.
And then once they get the overall rating and they're like, eyes too low.
Yeah.
Give some random shit
That's literally what happens
What does that really say about these players?
2K inflation
You just explained the inflation by the way
You literally just explained it
Interesting
Next
Ooh a point guard that has not have good shot IQ
And a lot of shooting around him
But the point guard
takes some stupid ass shots
For somebody to have
Stupid ass shots
Is this the San Antonio Spurt?
Oh, fuck.
We didn't do that on purpose, man.
Yes, he did.
And he didn't have to be so harsh on his description.
This point is a stupid ass.
Take it up a 2K.
They put $65.
I wouldn't have given the air in 65.
Oh, damn.
Looks like he's holding the team back, man.
We didn't mean to do it on purpose.
They set them up.
Ooh, 94 ball hands.
28 passing vision?
Oh my God.
Oh, my God.
Somebody blind at Power forward.
But he's legally blind.
Yeah, 25 is the minimum you can get somebody.
28?
28 passing vision.
What did they see those 3 percentage points?
70 defense from your big men is not good.
Yeah, the big man can't defend and the Power Forward can't pass at all.
Is this the Rockets?
No.
Is the Nets that they put Jules run out the five?
No.
That's funny.
96 mid range?
You got a rude.
Oh, wait.
Is this the Clippers?
Yeah.
That's Rui?
I don't hate your soul.
Time out.
Brandon Ingram has a 96 mid-range?
Sure, it's all he does.
They gave him to him.
Okay.
You gotta be 80 overall somehow.
True.
He doesn't.
There's honestly not too bad besides.
I mean, it's gassing his mid-range.
But he gets a lot.
He can get mid-range buckets.
28 passing vision is.
That's damning.
You can't rebound, can't pass.
It's hard to play that way.
All right.
That's the last one.
Oh, God.
How mad, I'll be,
28 passing?
What?
That's one of those stats
It's disrespectful to give you a bad number.
They just give me a 25 at that point.
What's the difference?
They're pretty much calling you stupid.
Yeah.
Like that,
that is a status directly correlated to I think you're dumb.
It doesn't bode well.
Like,
I can't see passes.
Yeah.
That's not,
I can't throw.
It's not a physical limitation.
I can't see things well.
I can't see things quick enough.
I feel like at that point,
you just got to stand on business.
Give me a 25.
Yeah, just give me 25 at that point.
Staying on them.
You're going to take me hell?
Just take me there fully, bro.
I'm saying.
I'm saying.
I'll meet that bitch.
Plus three for what?
Yeah, don't do it.
I don't do it halfway now.
Yeah.
I'm just being patronizing.
Like, come on.
No, literally it is.
Okay.
Last thing we're going to do today,
I saw a fantasy football TikToker
do a similar segment to this.
So we're going to copy that
and bring it to the NBA.
We are going to talk about a player
as ceiling, floor, and realistic
about their all-time rankings.
So I'm going to name of a player.
We did give the ceiling,
the highest you could see
somebody ranking them on an all-time list.
that's like the tippy top of what's reasonable.
The floor, the lowest you could possibly say,
somebody ranks all time.
And then a realistic middle ground.
Okay.
So yeah, based on all time rankings.
First name, Steph Curry.
Sealing, what's the highest somebody can rank them all time?
Probably like six.
I'll say six.
I see people say top five.
I've seen people say that.
I don't think that's right.
Is it understandable?
No.
I mean, if we're saying six, then like, I guess so.
But even then breaking it into the top five,
I just think that there's too many names.
right now. So looking at Cameron, say if you think Curry's top five, you are a glazer.
I'm not going to say that. Okay. Because he might believe that. You can talk to me too. He wants to
Curry. He wants to Curry cult on his side. Yeah, I'm not going to say that. Yeah. That's not the
people you want to turn against you. Sure. If Kurt started his career like on a hotter streak and
it didn't take him a couple years to get over the ankle stuff or whatever, then I could see that.
Okay. So sealing like seven.
Sealing like. Yeah, it's a, it's around. It's around seven or something like that. The problem, the problem is there's so
many, there's so many years
even, or like
around the championship, whether it would be
before or after, where it's not only
like you're getting bouncing in plus, you're missing the playoffs
as a whole. And that's
a big issue when we're talking about
you're standing in nitpicking, all-time
rankings, that's tough. Yeah. We'll say
six as an absolute ceiling floor.
I don't think you can put them lower than 15.
And you're being pessimistic there.
I think 15 is a good floor.
15. Yeah. Somewhere in the mid-teens is
I would say like 13. Yeah, but
Floor, if someone tells me
you're 15, you could tell me arguments.
I'll be like, okay, you really respects her and guys,
it's fine.
You got the big O over him.
Yeah, like, okay, to each the wrong.
Then how do you argue that?
All right.
Yeah.
Salute to him.
You want to get Wok and tell him you have Yokich over him.
Like, I guess I'll hear you.
I don't agree.
I won't call you an idiot necessarily.
So why do you have George Miking on you?
Realistic floor?
I mean, realistic.
Probably around.
10.
I'll say 12 right now.
10 to 12.
Yeah.
I think 10's a nice even number.
That's like a cool.
place to rank them.
Okay.
Put him in Kobe debates.
Yeah.
Kobe, yeah.
That's fair.
Yeah, he belongs to Kobe.
Yeah, put him nine or ten.
That's a comfortable place.
Okay.
It's always Kobe.
Yeah.
Always always Kobe.
Honestly, like, a lot of players are like flirting with the top ten.
Like, Kobe's going to be a nice marker for people.
Like, if you can't compete with Kobe, you can't enter top ten talks.
What a good way to spin it.
He's the gatekeeper.
Yeah, he is the marker to be top ten worthy.
Which some people would think that's offensive.
He should be top five or whatever, but like, you know, get offended.
Yeah, whatever.
Been there done that.
Next name James Hardin.
Ceiling.
Sealing top 25.
Yeah, you can't say higher than 20.
20, you're really, really, really good.
Really?
20, you're really, really high.
Yeah, I don't think it's a big range.
I think 25's the ceiling and like 40's the floor.
I say 50 is the floor.
You know, sure.
50 if you just really think the playoffs stuff is that horrible that you don't rate him,
you tell me 50, I'll respect you.
Yeah.
Because if you really, really want to get nasty in these conversations,
like you can say,
Like, you can,
technically he's been to the finals,
but you can say,
like as the guy,
you never led a team there.
So,
so you could,
like, take that off your resume.
If you get nasty,
you can be like,
you haven't reached the highse in the playoffs
Brunson's reached.
So what does that say?
Those conversations are so different,
though.
You can get nasty,
but then when you also sit down,
look at between the weeds
and see, like,
who we had to go against.
Which is why we had the realistic now.
Yeah, exactly.
So I think Floyd,
you can say 50 if you're a hater.
Realistic?
Probably around 35.
Yeah, there you go.
That sounds...
That's where I think the floor is low-key.
I think if you really have them at 50,
you are the one-of-one hater that hasn't been at 50.
There's more great players you think.
I can't put him at 50 now.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
I agree.
That's why it's a flirt.
Yeah, I guess.
I'm not doing it.
You could drop them down to 40.
Yeah, I don't think it's ridiculous, honestly.
With how bad the playoffs is relative to other peers,
I don't think it's crazy.
If you tell me someone who values playoffs success extremely,
Okay.
I put him at 35%.
Me too.
Luca Donchich.
75, probably.
As the ceiling?
No, no, it's the floor.
Oh, okay.
Fleer for him a floor for us.
Jesus Christ.
Yeah, floor, he hasn't done much
in terms of accomplishments, but he's so
talented. The floor is he's top 100
and he's way better than some of those guys in the back half.
75 is a good floor.
Yeah, it's just tough, man.
He has nothing but.
Sealing?
Sealing.
Weight loss, that's it.
It has a good transformation, though.
We got to respect that.
Yeah.
Good haircut.
The ceiling, you can't put him above Hardin.
There's similar archetypes Hardin as an MVP.
Luca doesn't.
Yeah.
Right now, do you speak?
But you can say ceiling.
You made the finals.
Hardin hasn't.
So I would say right now the ceiling is probably, it's probably 25.
What?
I'll say 35 is the ceiling.
Really?
I was going to say 40.
If you really like, I do think that the fact that he came in and instantly was like first team every single year.
And you look.
You look at other guys' resumes and other point guards.
They don't even have that over the span of their career.
I think that that helps him a lot.
The problem is no MVP's.
Because what you're describing,
you're saying he's modern Barclay,
which Barclay's top 25?
Even if you compare him to point guards,
and you say like Chris Paul, right?
Like, in the first six years,
I have more first team all MBAs.
I've made it to the finals.
I have scoring titles.
Like, I've done all these things.
But all time isn't about pace.
It's about what you're at right now.
I'm saying even if he stopped at that point,
that's your career.
And that's what that's what you've done.
So even there, I think if you really, really want to to push your forward and say that, 25 is probably the absolute highest that you can say.
I'll say 35 ceiling.
If he gets an MVP that I can see top 20 ceiling.
Because then he can literally just be Berkeley.
Yeah.
Again, getting that MVP matters.
Being close to MVP's, a lot of people can say that.
Actually getting it done and being better than the best player in the world that year, that's a meaningful thing he hasn't done yet.
Will he ever do it?
And I know Guiluca fans disagree, but there hasn't been a year in which you deserved it either.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Every time he's lost, he should have lost.
Awesome.
Kobe shit.
Yeah.
Fanbase has always convinced themselves they got robbed.
Luke has never gone robbed.
You can still get one, but until then, I think, 30 positive.
He was not to.
That actually was accidental.
I'm not going to do it.
But you're right.
What's realistic?
45.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Good enough to break.
Yeah.
Say 49.
There you go.
Nice to specific.
Okay.
All right.
Just break into the top 50.
Do some winning, pal.
Tim Duncan, what's the ceiling?
What's the highest you can put them?
Four.
Probably four.
Four is the highest you can put it for sure.
Literally four is I can't have no argument for top three at all.
Yeah.
Oh, I can say whatever I want.
You could say, yeah.
You could say what are you wrong legally.
I would say four is fours.
Yeah.
You can tell yourself everything you can say about Kareem.
You can say about Duncan, but he's not the score or so forth.
Hmm.
Floor.
That's the lowest you put them.
Ten.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If you want to put him
like behind Kobe and Curry.
I'll say nine is the lowest
in your body.
I think minimum
you have to have him
top 10.
Yeah.
There's no world
where he's not in the top 10.
Well,
if you want to put him behind
Kobe,
Curry and Hakeem
and the old's
in Russell and Wilt,
you really could have
like 11 or 12
if you want to be a hater.
Is that crazy
to have him below all those guys?
I think it is.
I think below all of them,
yes.
You would have to be
like ridiculously
inconsistent
with their criteria.
In fact,
some of the guys
are old,
some are new,
some scores,
some don't.
So you can just be like
dumb and say what you want,
but it sounds like 10
is a good floor.
Yeah.
Realistic?
A cool eight right between?
Yeah.
Oh, eight.
Say seven.
In chat conversations,
whatever you please
been seven and eight,
something like that.
Yeah.
Yeah, who really had control
over the air?
Yeah.
Kevin Durantz.
Sealing.
Sealing.
Ten.
Fuck no.
That's the highest
you can put them.
Sealing's probably.
you like 12
13 15 is like the highest
I think somebody
if somebody has Curry at 10
and they have the opinion
that Kevin Durant is just as good
and just as important to his era
and just more skilled
and whatever reasons
they could say 10
I certainly want to agree
but I think that's a ceiling
yeah
I think the
I'm going 12
I can go 12
if someone puts them in a keem talk
you think they're stupid
yes
firmly yes
stupid no but I think
that you're wrong
I agree but
I'm asking you to
it's hard to parse that's what the ceiling is
you know like
the amount of blights and how many times
just like straight up had terrible
superstar performances in the playoffs
getting gamed on so many times
getting swept so many times
when you thought you were cooking shit
Super team after super team failing
flipping and flippet it's bad bro
it's bad
thought what you're saying 12 I'm gonna say 15
it's been seven years since 15 is not the floor
I mean not the ceiling
15's the ceiling I think 50's are real
he is 15
floor ceiling realistic
15 he's just firmly 15 yeah okay fuck it yeah kevin around all three you're 15 bro he hasn't made the conference finals in seven years yeah
that is great and like this is not like bad kevin 20 19 like he's still good damn i think yeah 15's fair
we'll just say it for all of them why not Kobe Bryant also if we're being real true like nine years he didn't
play in the 19 uh conference finals so he isn't step foot in that so he didn't step foot in that's in 2018
damn Kobe Bryant what's the ceiling what's the highest you can put him
You can put him six.
Seven, I think, and I won't like.
Six or seven.
Either one of those two.
So you're saying he has to be behind Magic and Bird
and then obviously the big three?
Firmly, yeah, behind those guys.
And then...
So you said you can put him above Shaq?
If you talk to Kobe fans?
They'll put him at two.
Put him at three.
Yeah, put it on one.
What are we talking about?
I know plenty of Kobe fans
to say he's one.
Hey.
Hey, man.
I don't agree.
I'm just saying.
Everyone's inside of an opinion.
Feeling of the conversation.
I think if you say six.
say that that's not true.
Some opinions don't matter.
And you know what? Okay, so that's, everybody's entitled to the opinion.
Everybody's not entitled to have your opinion taken to...
If you tell me he's right behind Magic and Bird at 6 and you think he's better than
Shaq, I disagree, but okay, that's the ceiling.
Yeah.
So six?
Yeah, it means you're putting above Shaq and Duncan.
Okay, sure.
Go for it, buddy.
Before it.
Floor.
Yeah.
Floor is like 12.
You can't put him lower than 12.
Yeah, when you get bad then you hate that.
Yeah, you can.
So 12, you're putting it.
Khene, Curry, and Bill Russell and
Wilt counting those old areas. You're putting all those guys
above him and then Kobe could fall in like 12. You can't do
that, yeah. You can't, but that's the lowest. You can't
put any more guys. You start
talking about Dr. J and shit like that. I'm like, you lost me.
You lost me.
Were you lost me? Are you
moved to the loan of it in there? Sure.
See, if he doesn't, I'm like, okay, you probably lost me.
Now I'm when I mentioned Kevin Garnett,
what happens now? Then I just killed you.
You said what? When I mentioned Kevin Garnett, what happens
now?
Okay, realistic.
Ten.
Nine.
I said nine.
Sure.
You go to 10.
Yeah.
If we said, if you said Curry, realistically, get 10.
Katie, I mean, Kobe can be right above him at 9.
Yeah.
Shea Gildes Alexander.
Two MVP's in a chip now.
Four years of 30 points per game, four years of first team all NBA.
He's firmly top 20, I think, of all time.
Yeah.
Firmly?
I think so.
The longevity isn't quite there yet.
It's harder.
I think 20's harder.
He's average like 28 to 30 points for like four straight years now.
Yeah, 30.
You know, pretty much.
He's had multiple deep.
The highest is probably...
I think the highest is 20.
Just because four years isn't a whole lot.
I'll think of like 18.
Sure.
The ceiling could be 18.
That's doing a lot, I think.
I was thinking 18.
I think I...
I think the back-to-back MVPs
with the scoring titles,
with the chip and the finals MVP,
I do think that that brought you pretty high.
Sealing is 18.
Yeah.
But I think if you're hitting that ceiling,
you're just assuming that he continues his prime
for a lot longer and you're not doing any...
Like, you're not holding the limited years against him.
Yeah.
Yeah, no.
Floor, if you're holding a limited years against it.
30.
You could say 28.
30 is a nice even number.
I think that's fine.
I said 30.
Yeah, just because it's only four years.
28's even two, though.
Because then, yeah, if you're saying 30,
Cook, it isn't even number by definition.
Again, smooth.
If you're saying, if you're saying that he's 30
and you're hating hard, you're really just hate watching for the next 10 years.
Are we being realistic here?
Because if we're talking about haters and the floor of what it could be,
some haters will say he's not top 100 because it's a foul being fraud.
Jesus Christ.
God.
We're not.
We're not.
We're not in that right now.
You look at the camera and say fuck him.
No.
Okay.
Come on.
Spread love.
Spread love, man.
One love, man.
One race.
One race.
Shee haters are one up to it.
Even Shay haters at heaven sin.
Realistic.
28.30?
Because again, I say 25.
Yeah, 20.
He'll get there.
He's,
but that time we're retired,
it'll be 25 at least.
Realistic right now is 25.
I think he's there right now, yeah.
Exactly.
25.
Realistic.
Yeah, he's going with you.
One.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Jack.
I think the highest is six.
Well,
we said the highest for.
If you're super indexing on, like,
most dominant,
I think highest is five.
You don't think someone can say four?
No.
Four is a lot.
Well, what you're saying five?
You're saying they can put them above one of magic or bird
but not the other?
Yeah.
Why?
If you didn't want, I feel like you can say the other.
I think if we're going to get super
into that conversation and very much around it,
Magic 5, Shaq 4, Bird 3.
So fuck her in?
No, in terms of chips.
Oh, oh, oh.
And so like if you're like in that mode
and that's what you're deciding factors,
that's probably what you would lean towards.
And you would say Shaq has four most dominant
player ever.
Okay.
Yeah,
yada.
And he could,
you could, you could, you could split those two up.
Okay, fair.
There you go.
Four.
I mean, five is a peak for Shaq.
What's the floor?
What's the lowest you can push to kill on you?
I think you can get him outside the top 10, but like right.
You could.
You got it.
I think 11.
I think 11 is a floor.
Yeah.
And even then, you're being pretty pessimistic.
But I can see it.
But man,
you're,
you're being a hater.
You really are.
You're hating hard.
You're probably holding his TV career against them because you don't like the shit he says.
Yeah.
And you know what?
Me too.
I'm taking it out for.
Twins.
I'm with you, buddy.
Realistic.
Seven.
Sure.
Something like that.
Seven or eight.
Yeah.
Midway through.
Yeah, back half of the top ten.
Yeah.
Yonis.
What's the highest?
The highest is 16, maybe.
Yeah, I was going to say 15.
15, 16, something like that.
Two of VPs, DPOI, champion.
Same year you won the DPOI.
Solid Lengj.
Two.
Yeah.
Yeah, he'll first female NBA.
We're in like your seven of a prime.
His numbers are dumb, bro.
Just like look at his basketball,
or if it's say 28, 29, 30, 30, 33,
like his score has gone up to.
One of the highs, people don't talk about him this way.
He's one of the greatest power forward scores of all time.
Yeah.
And like, he's high in that.
In that combo, like he's pretty close to two or whatever.
He's modern day shack.
So we'll say 15 for the ceiling.
I think the floor is like 22.
Yeah, the range isn't very big with Janus.
15 to 20.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think people are warming up to the best power forward conversation with you honest.
I've been seeing it a little bit more.
I think peak-wise is not ridiculous.
Yeah.
Like I think he's right after Tim Duncan.
Now, like the legacy is up, it gets different.
But in turns like best peak of all time, I think he's firmly in the combo.
Yeah.
Well, then you pick him over like 03 Duncan.
I don't know.
But you can be debate.
Yeah.
So they're realistic.
The range is real small.
17.
Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
There you go.
And that's the last one.
Yeah.
Jason Tatum.
Let me not do that to you.
Don't, please.
I'm sorry.
I shouldn't even play like that, should I?
No.
275.
But that being said, that's the end of this episode.
If people are still here, what should they comment?
One love, man.
One love, man.
So even Shay haters are heaven sent.
Boy.
And I guess most of you comments are Shay haters,
so I guess even Shay fans are having sent to you.
Mm-hmm.
Ooh.
You're saying even my life matters.
I know it was hard for some of you to say in the comments.
She'll make a nickname for Shay hush.
haters? Shaders.
Shaders? Come on, man. Shaders.
Okay, okay, okay.
You're penfield on that one.
Penfield on that. The Inks dried up.
Ran out of the Ing?
Damn it.
Shaders. No one to go out on top.
You're pushing it.
And we'll see y'all next week.
For Monday. Mondays are back. Don't forget.
Hell yeah.
