Starting point is 00:00:00 We are going to play the NBA imposter game with prompts. Be Souls will text all of us a category. It might be something like which NBA player can date your daughter. We all will write that on our boards. But the twist is, one of us will have received a different prompt and is the imposter without even knowing it. One of us might have gotten a message that said, name the coolest white player in the NBA. Write down a name.
Starting point is 00:00:23 It's revealed what the prompt is. We have to try to figure out who the imposter is, why the person who is the imposter tries to defend the name they wrote down. We did this on house call. Yes, we did it on house call. Bring it to the NBA. B.S. Sully sending out the first round of text right now.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Are you guys ready to lie? Okay. All right. I don't be lying, man. Okay. I got my name. Got my name. All ready?
Starting point is 00:00:44 Yep. All right. B. Souls reveal the first question. Which NBA player would make the best school principals? I wrote down. Malcolm Brogden. Hmm. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:56 He does seem like Obama. Obama. So I can understand that from just how he approaches the game standpoint. Make sense. I got LeBron James, Mr. President himself. He literally like owns a school right now as you speak. I promise. You think owning the school the same as being the principal.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Damn near, bro. That's what it feels like. He knows how to bring a group of kids together, knows how to have fun while also making sure things are in line. be a great, great fucking principal. Okay. I wrote Michael Jordan. Hell no. All right.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Shooting dice in the cafeteria. Contrary to popular belief. Contrary to popular belief, I think that Michael Jordan could be a good school principal. I think that one, recess would be fun as hell.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Okay. Recess would be first. Everybody slapbox. If you're, if you're, if you're, If you're playing football, you have the all-time quarterback. If you're playing basketball, obviously, he would make it a very, very competitive game. I think that for in like an elementary school situation, because again, we're doing, we're doing recess. Young kids are wild.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Michael Jordan will be very strict. We'll provide structure to these children. They also would be very, they would adore him because the shoes that they're wearing on their feet, he's the guy on their shoes. There's a reverence there so that he can keep the whole school in line. Can't tell you something? I think Michael Jordan. He's arguing way too hard to be telling the truth. I think Michael Jordan would be decent.
Starting point is 00:02:29 I think LeBron and Michael Jordan would both be got awful principles, but I believe you put Michael Jordan. I don't believe for a fucking second. You surround kids with that degenerate. I think that's bad for children. I don't think you would do that with a serious conscience. Dude, Michael Jordan would be the type to imply and enforce a bullying principle, bro. He would imply bullying. He would be like, yo, he just said, you suck?
Starting point is 00:02:49 Stop being a bitch. Go do somebody. Don't suck. I don't think Michael Jordan believes. That's a cool principle. He plays both sides. No, he's not. He plays both sides.
Starting point is 00:02:57 No. You're teaching kids to stand up for yourself. I don't believe Michael Jordan believes that he'd be good around kids. He said, fuck. He's infinite fault. I'm putting him in this position anyway. That's ridiculous. He's getting fired by the PTA within six weeks.
Starting point is 00:03:09 And that's being bold. Sometimes you have to push people outside of their comfort zone to see them reach their potential. You should have forced Michael Jordan to become a good kid person by putting them around kids? That's outlandish. I think he could do it. I think you're a bad liar. if someone abuses animals I'm not sending him to the vet
Starting point is 00:03:26 it's the last place I'm saying no I'm gonna vote Donovan is the imposter He's not abusing animals That's not a good analogy at all That's nowhere close to the situation You're correct
Starting point is 00:03:43 But that's a bad analogy My bet is on Donovan being the imposter Yeah it's you Oh it's hell of me What was your prompt write somebody that you would hate arguing with. He would just never give anything up. Yeah, that was really easy to figure you out.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Okay. Damn, I got set up. You guys out. That's a tough one to defend. I'm not going to lie. All right. Next set of tweets are out or text. Text.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Okay. This is an interesting one. Who's the answer to this? And we're doing an NBA history, right? Who best fits this? Oh, okay. I got two moments that really like solidify this. Okay, second question.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Who is the most performative NBA player? Easy. Shaquille O'Neal. Shaquille O'Neal, the most performative bully, I'm bigger than you. I'm going to make sure you feel how much bigger I am than you. Every locker he walks into, he has to exude confidence. You know, they say the biggest personalities are insecure.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Put two and two together. I think this guy is putting mouthpieces in his ass to compensate for something. Shack is performative. Okay. I don't even know if he's performing. I think he's just him. Do you think he's just he'd been true to yourself?
Starting point is 00:05:00 Yeah. I think he's performing like a motherfucker. I think he's performing as the big, strong personality guy that has to make sure everybody knows how big and strong he is. He, anytime he argues, he can't be the one that's wrong, he'll never admit anything. I think that's performing security. He won't admit anything because he doesn't know anything, though. It's just real?
Starting point is 00:05:17 Yeah. So he's just him. I think his ego is out of control. Who's your guy? Oh, Jason Williams. What does that mean? Just flash you passing. But like the highlight real of Jason Williams would make you think that he's also Magic Johnson.
Starting point is 00:05:36 And he's just not that player. Oh, so you're saying he's performing on the court, not as a personality. Yeah. Performative Hooper. Okay. Like, why are you bouncing off your elbow? Like, just throw it to him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Just doing too much. Just give the ball. Professor doing too much. Like you're doing all of this. You don't lead the league in a sit. Right, right. Like, I'm cool with magic like laying down throwing a bounce pass. He's one of the greatest passes of all time.
Starting point is 00:05:59 You're trying to do that. You're closing your eyes. Let's get to eight assists. Let's worry about something else. Now you're fucking up my shooting pocket because you want to get a highlight. Exactly. Because you want to be on an one. So I think he's very performing.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I see that on the court. Performative. Got Mr. Tate of himself. We already know what it is with him. Mr. screenshot, Tex and Kobe.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I got you today. That's incredibly lame. And then on top of that too, on top of that too, brother, overly forced clout moment when they win the championship. And he's like,
Starting point is 00:06:34 he did it. What are they gonna say now? I definitely don't think you're lying. I do think you would say that about Jason Tatum. Like you're just trying to form a moment. You're doing so much right now. I don't think we did it as performative. I think that was corny maybe
Starting point is 00:06:48 and not delivered well. It just felt like super forced. Yeah, maybe. I think that was real. He's just not good of delivering shit. I think he's just
Starting point is 00:06:54 not charismatic. Kobe shit, that can be performative for sure. Yeah. I'm saying to you. Because I think the both of us gave,
Starting point is 00:07:02 I see you kind of gave an example, but I'm going to say it's you. You don't feel like Shaq is performative? No, I think he's truly him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I don't think being truly him makes it so you're not performative. I think performing a certain thing you want people to believe about yourself
Starting point is 00:07:16 can be true to you, I guess. He believes to the man, but I still think he puts on a performance. Nah I think him performing Doesn't mean it's truly you
Starting point is 00:07:26 That means you're trying to put up an act in a front And I believe everything that he said And he's ever done That's right You just think he's a dumb ass So you can be like First time I landed Turk I see a billboard of him in a wig
Starting point is 00:07:37 Bro What you're doing with the Turks, bro? I'm trying to escape He's everywhere I think it's you I'm gonna vote Jason Williams I think that was a good spin I think performative
Starting point is 00:07:49 If you would just grab somebody and their personality, not their on the court ability. I think you probably got like something to do with highlights and pick Jason Williams. But that was a damn good spin, so I almost want to believe you. Yeah, I'm not going to lie, that is tough. Because what is, what is his like career high and assists? Like, like, four seasons?
Starting point is 00:08:05 Yeah, I think it's like eight and a half. Oh, it's fucking you then. Like, I think you did a good job to describe performing a basketball player. I think you would have picked a performative personality, though. I don't think you would have went towards basketball player and play style. If he did average eight and a half,
Starting point is 00:08:19 you literally lied to me. So it's you. And I think you respect Jason Williams. Yeah. Why? I don't know. Him as a personality, he doesn't screen performance as well. He's been on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:08:28 He's just regular. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's more on the court. And dude, I mean, I'm voting you. It's not me. It's you. It's not me. It's you, motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Ah, I knew it. It's not me. Yes, it is you. Are you voting me? I mean, he said it wasn't him. He's just talking. He didn't know, nobody's voted yet. So I'm voting you.
Starting point is 00:08:48 It's not me. It's not me. voting you. It's you. Yeah, it's you. So you're voting me. Yeah, you got it. You're a dumbass. It's me. It's me. See, he fucking cheated. He made it sound like it wasn't him and you believed you. I mean, I first I was like it is you.
Starting point is 00:09:04 This is my answer. But you swayed me to him. Yeah, it was me. Isaac was who's the most misunderstood player? And I was going to say Shaq's misunderstood. He's a piece of shit and people don't know that. He's worse than people think. Damn it. He's not performative at all.
Starting point is 00:09:23 He's got stuck in it. I know. I tried. Okay. Next set of texts are up. Okay. Oh my God. There we go.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Mo, how confident you're feeling? Zero out of ten. Just because? Yeah. I don't even know if the problem I got is right for real. Like, no matter what situation. Assuming we have to say question, this is hard to answer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:50 This is a very bullshit adjacent question. It is. Which NBA player would survive the longest during a zombie apocalypse? Okay. I guess I'll keep going first. Kendrick Perkins. Pure size. Pure tank mode.
Starting point is 00:10:09 I think that one, being big in a zombie apocalypse, I think always helps. I think he's from the south. I think he's probably resourceful. I think he's probably used to working on the land and being a guy who is able to find and forge food. I think it's probably something he knows how to do I think I don't know how to say
Starting point is 00:10:24 sensitively I don't know to say sensitively I think he knows he needs food and he's not going to rest and he's not going to be an issue he's going to be motivated to go out there and get food and survive and I think in terms of safety
Starting point is 00:10:34 like who's taking down Kendry Perkins I mean you're in a zombie apocalypse is one bite and you're done for man he also has no agility first of all the first thing you need to know about a zombie apocalypse the zombies are not the biggest factor
Starting point is 00:10:47 the other humans we need to be scared of the other humans are what causes people to die. I've seen the walking dead. The zombies become a non-issue by year one. You understand how to kill these motherfuckers. It's the other people that are coming for you with a target on your back. And I think Kendra Perkins could survive.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Again, he has no lateral movement. He's not ready to race. Eventually, you are going to have to be like somewhat deceptive and elusive with your movement skills. You got to run through the trees. He can't do that. I'm not talking current day, Kendrick Perkins. I'm talking prime NBA athlete,
Starting point is 00:11:17 Kendrick Perkins. He's still a better movement. movement skills in the average fucking person. Even prime, what is this prime for? I never heard anyone will say that. I don't know. Physical prime.
Starting point is 00:11:26 He's a fucking mountain of a man. You're not taking him down. Other humans are not taking them down with their hands. I don't know. Munitions run out fast. People throw spears and shit. Being huge helps.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Being seven foot don't stop no spear. Yeah. It's going through. I think being big is good in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah. I don't know. I get one jabbling thrower in the apocalypse.
Starting point is 00:11:52 So you know someone small? He's done for. Oh, he got. Wait, why would you kill him as a fellow human? He said you have to look out for other humans. Oh, that's what happens.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The resources limited humans come for you. That's about to say, why you just turn to the off all of a sudden. I got Jimmy Butler. Seems like he'd be very useful in no matter what situation he's in.
Starting point is 00:12:12 He knows how to make coffee really well. He knows how to sit down. No room is good or bad. No, when humans are soft, and be fucking... Yeah. Still, don't miss.
Starting point is 00:12:22 You need to be caffeinated. You don't have energy. You'd be fucking aware. High and sex is and all that. But no, like, in any room, you need to know who's made of tissue and who's not.
Starting point is 00:12:32 And Jimmy Bullard knows that shit. He will be the top survivor when it comes to the zombie apocalypse because of those skills. And he's smart, too. I love the inclusion. Pretty, pretty calculated. Might be you.
Starting point is 00:12:44 I wrote down Keldon Johnson. Oh, hell no. Because I know I'm thinking you You can't explain Can I state the case? Go for it I don't know, man
Starting point is 00:12:57 Celtin Johnson Oh yeah You're good I don't I do have a reason though No Kelton Johnson One
Starting point is 00:13:11 He He doesn't know He does hunt And a lot of people Who know A lot of people know How to hunt he bow hunts.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Okay. When all the guns are gone, listen, let's roll the ball out in the apocalypse and let's see who can really get things shaking. Keldon Johnson knows how to do that. He works on a ranch in Texas. He knows how to till the land.
Starting point is 00:13:32 He can do all of those things. But you think if it's a zombie apocalypse, that ranch is going to be like normal or useful for real? Those skills aren't like, you can't really adapt. No, I'm saying. Jimmy Butler had been homeless before, right? I'm saying he understands.
Starting point is 00:13:42 He's seen the worst of it. I'm saying Kelton Johnson understands how to work on the land because he works on a range. Okay, those skills are transferable. And so those skills combined with the bow hunting, I think that he would last long. Seems pretty one-dimensional, man.
Starting point is 00:13:58 That's a really good spin if you were the imposter because that was very calculated. I don't think you would have pulled. He has a bow and arrow out your ass. Like, there's no way you just know that. You keep calling them spins. I'm giving you my reason. I know.
Starting point is 00:14:12 I'm saying I believe you. I'm going to go coffee, man. That was hilarious. He knows coffee No, no, no, no, no. But Kelvin Johnson is such a crazy answer. But again, I don't think you just... No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Kendrick Perkins is the crazier answer, bro. Why do you hate on Kendrick Perkins? You hate on Kendrick Perkins? You mentioned him being from the South. He has no useful skills that we know of at all. He has a bow and arrow. My guy has been homeless. He's seen what loneliness feels like before.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Lonelyness feels like before. What does Kendrick Perkins have to offer? Vote me because that guy was homeless, I guess. Go for him. Great reasoning. I'm gonna vote. Mo. I vote you.
Starting point is 00:14:49 I think you. So it's the same, you and I are in the same situation. Well, I think that your answer is crazy. But coffee being one of the first two days out of your mouth is ridiculous. I'm gonna say,
Starting point is 00:14:59 you need someone who's useful in all facets. I'm gonna say you. And there's everything. We're voting you. It's not me. I was the imposter. I don't have to Kenny Burgess is fucking surviving. His prompt was which NBA player
Starting point is 00:15:13 would win a hot doggy contest. What the fuck? He would eat all the food. He's fucking worse for this shit. He doesn't know to survive. We have to kill him day one, bro. Well, you got so much supply left. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:15:29 The company, it really threw me off. I successfully red herring that it's a mattering. No, I noticed it. I noticed it when I said it to two. That was kind of weird. Oh, my God. This is the opposite problem for surviving a zombie apocalypse. Yes.
Starting point is 00:15:41 That was kind of weird. Winning a hot dog. He contributes nothing to the tank. to the table. I'm saying bullshit. When I paused, I was trying to think of a respectful way to say the fat thing.
Starting point is 00:15:51 It did sound like I was guilty. Our next sex are out. Yeah, I think we can go here. Hmm. I'm not 100% sure here. Yeah, I don't feel great either. I'm being a little unique in my answer. This is mad tough, honestly.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I'm always scared that if I try to do something unique, y'all aren't going to fucking believe me. So I feel like I have to make it very obviously not me. That's always my worry. Let me make sure I make it very clear my intentions. Okay. Which NBA player would you cast as Superman? I started us off with.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Anthony Edwards. We need a black Superman. Michael B. Jordan was campaigning for it a few years ago. We need to make it happen. And I think he wouldn't be the traditional Superman. He wouldn't be saving dogs and kids in the road and being like, you're the right thing, could. That wouldn't be Anthony Edwards.
Starting point is 00:16:42 It'd be a unique spin on the character. But I think he has a look to him. in the charisma He's trying to make him God No No No
Starting point is 00:16:49 I got I got I got We seen him We should fly already before jumping over cars and shit
Starting point is 00:17:09 In order to be Superman You have to be big Brolic Do the right things and Blake for no really know he really never did anyone wrong ever before in his life those ethics he's been wronged before
Starting point is 00:17:21 he's been left astray dry plenty of times in his life bro but somehow just does right every time and he's funny too okay I want JJ Reddick okay I think that JJ Reddick
Starting point is 00:17:35 purely for the eyes I think JJ Reddick can have the best laser eyes that any Superman has ever had I think he'll be miserable at Superman low key This is actor JJ Redick Yeah, I think he'll be like You said miserable? Why?
Starting point is 00:17:50 Yeah, because he tried to maximize everything Every ounce of this fucking ability See, but you need that as Superman For somebody who can take a... Not take over the world Someone who can help save the world Yeah, it's the core of Superman. So you made it take more.
Starting point is 00:18:02 The core of Superman comics is the pressure of being Superman. Jay J.Roy is some pressure. You also need a cold white boy to do it And he has experience being a cold whiteboard. I think the answer is obviously Blake Griffin. That is incomprehensible to me. How?
Starting point is 00:18:15 I mean, what do you mean? You said he needs acting experience. He does comedy, bro. Yeah, that's not acting. He's been in L.A. I think it's incomprehensible. Obviously, but it's adjacent. It's close to both of you motherfuckers.
Starting point is 00:18:24 What do you mean? You sell shoes and you break clipboards. What the fuck are we talking about? I'm voting you so easy. I don't think any part of you would think any part of you would make a good superman. He would. Plus, he's the best I can do that out of both of y'all too.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Oh, Cap. No, no. Blake Griffin? Prime. Prime. He might be third. Yeah. Third?
Starting point is 00:18:44 My dude is not playing fair. You gotta let it go, man. It's easily. You're lying like shit. You didn't pick him. I'm voting you. It is not me. You sure?
Starting point is 00:18:58 It's not me. I could show you the text. It was you? Yeah. Yeah, you loved you to the best white point for it. His prompt was, which NBA player would you cast a Jordan Bellford? That's funny. Judge Reddick's a good one for that.
Starting point is 00:19:16 That's funny. He's aged so much in his time as the, as the Lakers' head coach. Yes, he'd be stressing too much. Yeah. I do want to build Hancock. Come on, man. All right. Send me out now.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Let's get out now. I'm glad I got one off. One victory. That's all I need. Okay. It is. Who would you hate being stuck on a 10-hour flight with? I put Ennis Cantor
Starting point is 00:19:45 I would jump out the window Yo A 10 hour flight You know I think of Ennis Canter I think of that video If him on a plane I can get a video where the dude has some like Trump shirt
Starting point is 00:20:00 He's like See who looks at him I'll be stuck with that dude for 10 hours I'm jumping You got to explain that I don't got to explain it honestly I went MPJ
Starting point is 00:20:14 You don't got to explain that either You know 10 hour flight He's gonna show you his Twitter bookmarks Yeah Because there were There were a lot of yappers There were a lot of yappers that I could have picked
Starting point is 00:20:29 I do think that NPJ is somewhere outgoing That he would try and start up a conversation And it's like man I'm trying to sleep bro And you try to talk about some nonsense You send you links Yeah I wrote
Starting point is 00:20:43 Jordan Poole regular dude not regular dude sometimes you ever like just wake up in the middle night be like yo baby John Ron had a point like could you imagine someone just reinforcing the worst thing ever said
Starting point is 00:20:57 to you ever when you're just like being in a bitch like some cocky dude just thinks he's big time hot shot because you can shoot a little bit or whatever like maybe he wasn't completely like
Starting point is 00:21:11 off base you know I commend you think about it think about it you know I thank about it
Starting point is 00:21:20 I I commend you so much for coming up for coming up with a hate case for joining book I don't know the
Starting point is 00:21:37 the veins that are popping out I'm sweating oh my God what is this question bro I'm voting Mo. His question was,
Starting point is 00:21:53 who would make a podcaster? Oh, man. He got stuck in a corner and had to pull out that car. But I don't know for real when it comes to that. I'm going to hear the backstories of that, like, the real shit. He's not really got pushed for a reason. Draymont made some points
Starting point is 00:22:24 Let us spin I can see He's like oh Should I say this Should I say this? I was saying Oh shit That is outrageous
