Starting point is 00:00:00 For the last four weeks, we have put every single NBA position into a tier list. Today, we have the last one. We have NBA centers. We have the top tier. You're literally Shaq, bro. Second tier, you're a two-way demigod. Third tier, big for good reason. Fourth tier, running dunk man.
Starting point is 00:00:15 Fifth tier, clock is ticking. And last tier, big for no reason. Big for no reason. So disrespectful. I have, I think, 20 of the NBA's starting centers in the league. We're going to put them into these tiers. Dang. Yeah, I got a lot this time.
Starting point is 00:00:29 So we're going to fly through him. Let's start with Carl Anthony Towns. Where does he go? Big for good reason. Oh, definitely, big for good reason. Definitely. No one would ever accuse him of being a two-way anything.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Yeah. But offensively, he's a demon. He's big for good reason. He uses all that height to shoot over people, uses that size down low to be an effective rim score. Yeah. Everyone, every now and then he's going to get your shoulder into you. He's a good rebound, been great throughout the entire of his career.
Starting point is 00:00:54 This is positive big. Hell yeah. What do you guys want to do with Anthony Davis in 20? 25. Ooh, clock is ticking. O clock is ticking. It's alarming right now, actually.
Starting point is 00:01:05 He, yes, he's either, he's either going to be clock is ticking or he's going to be two-way demigod. At his,
Starting point is 00:01:12 at his peak, he is two-way demigod. But what you said was critical. You say, Anthony Davis in 2025. Correct. Clock is ticking. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:01:20 I don't think he has in him anymore to be the two-way demigod. He's playing well. I think you be very good, so. But I feel like you can give him one more year of being like two-way damning got being up there because he's still obviously he's done with the injuries he's still really good when he's on the feet court
Starting point is 00:01:35 there's some guys on here that even when they're on the court the clock is ticking that it works both ways but that just that just means that the clock is struck do you want to do anthony davis like that do you feel you don't feel like he has one more good playoff running him i think he's only 32 or he's 38 i understand that but his 32's old it is it is a it is a rough thing we've gone we've gone through the game logs before we know how many games he's missed over the last five years. We know how unlikely it is that he gets a healthy
Starting point is 00:02:03 playoff run and plays four straight rounds. Just, I'm there for every single game. I don't know if that's going to happen. So I feel like right now the clock is ticking. Because he has, we do know, even though he is 32 instead of 35, he does have limited time to maximize what Anthony Davis is about.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Yeah. So we won't do that while I'm going to treat clock is ticking? Because he's going to be next to some nasty names if we do this. Put him down. It's fine. We still know it's ticking, but it's still hasn't struck us yet. Exactly. I think he's still good enough who can give him that credit. But if you guys want to say, you guys are really scared.
Starting point is 00:02:37 I can't argue against it. I'll put him in two way than me, because he's still, you'd rather have him on it than cat. One more optimistic materialist for Anthony is the last one. Yeah. The last one. Oh, man. This is my goodbye. Next year, though, we don't know what it's going to look like.
Starting point is 00:02:51 He's signing up for his pension right now. Okay, relax. He's not LeBron. You're acting like he's 41. Jalen Duren Big for good reason Last year he'd been running dunk man He was a quintessential center
Starting point is 00:03:04 Set screens roll That man is between the legs Shooting mid-range jumpers now His bag is deep He's big for good reason Is there a world We could consider him a two-way demigod I want to
Starting point is 00:03:15 But I'm like The defense just isn't elite level yet Yeah, I don't know Maybe we need to see more sample size But if you tell me he has a good Playoff run and we consider him Being one of the six or seven Best Centers in the league
Starting point is 00:03:25 I believe you Okay But I think for now I can go big for a good reason. Okay. But he's on the precipice. That's fair. Victor Womeniama.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Oh, 2A demigod. Yeah. Actually, let me say this first. Nicole Yokic. You're literally Shaq. You're literally Shaq. You're literally Shaq, bro. Nicole Yokic is just as good offensively as Shaq.
Starting point is 00:03:42 He's ridiculous, such. Best Pass in the league. One of the best big men shooter in the league, too. He's just untouchable. One of the best players of all time. Yes, we know. Now, Victor Womanjama. I still think, I think that right now he is the definition of a 2A demigod.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Yes. We have not seen anything like him. He's obviously impactful on both ends of the floor. But can you stay healthy for a whole year? Can we get a playoff run from you to really stamp and solidify everything that you are showing the league in terms of what you can do? We have to wait. I think right now two-way demographics. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:15 So we can't get in the literally shock row yet until we can do it for 40 games in a row. Yeah. He hasn't been in the play in. Yeah. But that's for a reason outside of him. But in general, I agree with you on the health tip. when I was looking at the total block leaders guess already ranked
Starting point is 00:04:28 he'll pay 12 games he was number two that's crazy and bike like a not a huge gap but I think it's like 42 43 blocks and 12 games I'm not gonna lie he's literally shocked bro but I'll let you guys be considered not yet not yet time out okay okay Alperin shangoon
Starting point is 00:04:43 oh he's big for good reason too big for great reason he's and honestly him being big is like what makes him so good right now he is a walking mismatch these smaller power forwards cannot stay in front of him. He's too quick
Starting point is 00:04:56 and he's too good of footwork for the centers. He is hard to deal with down low. He's one of the few players where it's like, bro, if you were to lose 10, 15 pounds,
Starting point is 00:05:03 you would be worse. Oh, definitely. He needs all the girth you can have. He throws it around well. Mark Williams. Running a duck man. That's a quintessential
Starting point is 00:05:16 running dunk man. Exactly what you want for the center. Set screens, catch lobs, you do it perfectly. Yeah. His career was dying
Starting point is 00:05:23 over there. Thank God we saved him Get him to a great coach Bam out of bio Big for good reason I think Or He's not
Starting point is 00:05:34 He's so good defensively He'd be running Dunkman I think That's why And he's just threes now He's a shooter now He's a stretch big a little bit But you wouldn't consider him
Starting point is 00:05:40 A two-way demon at all That's why he's just At all Big for good reason You know what's funny He lacks the offense To be a two-way demon Exactly defensively
Starting point is 00:05:48 He got it, but He's a good offensive player Like But he's not elite Yeah He's a good offensive player great defensive player yeah like he's good all around decent he's a whatever finisher he's obviously grown his mid-range game pat he's became a passing hub over the last few years he's good but
Starting point is 00:06:04 still not elite yeah and that and that works because he's 610 and not 6-1 yep yaku potal oh that's big for no reason i think his clock is ticking man since he got injured early this season he's looking rough that man can't move how did you had him as a top seven center in the world and we're not going to let you fucking forget it. And guess like, yesterday and I was on Amazon shopping for caskets. Not for him, but my agendas. It's over for him. It's completely over.
Starting point is 00:06:36 It doesn't move the same. He was coming off of injury already. Everybody, Raptors' fans wanted to give him grace. That shit doesn't exist no more at this point of the year. But he can't do nothing. Offenses, whatever, but him not being able to at least be decent when it comes to a screen setting like that or at least like not be food. defensively on the pick and roll especially
Starting point is 00:06:55 supposed to be your biggest strength. Yeah, it's over. It's over. So clock's ticking or big for no reason? I feel like it hasn't been enough games we can probably still say clock is ticking but it's real close to being done taken. It's real close to being a finished clock. Considering how much money he got paid in the offseason for no reason, it's like you're big for
Starting point is 00:07:11 no reason as well. Yeah. So overpaid pushes in the big for no reason? Yeah. You know what? Fair enough. Joel and Bede. Now that. The clock is struck. He's still playing. clock is ticking as far as like how long you can keep playing he's trying his hardest he's playing
Starting point is 00:07:27 everything out there to continue to be on the court providing as much value as he can then you know what clock is taking for it for him yeah because also the sixers are waiting for that clock on his contract to run out yeah yeah and listen shout up every time i watch the will and be i'm like salute to you for still being out here because like when you watch and play you're like you have every reason to retire yeah you have every reason to call it quits except the fact you get $60 million a year so you should keep trying to play because it's in your financial interest but you can tell he wants to be out there, it's tough. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Alex Saar. Where is he gone? Very interesting. He's good. I don't think he belongs in the big for a good reason to your chest. Not just yet. Not just yet.
Starting point is 00:08:06 He's made strides as an offensive player and I think he's going to be a really good defender one day. Still a little skinny defensively. Still isn't like an elite score by any means, but he's on the right path. I think he's good running duck man for now. I think he can be a solid center on a good team if he had to be.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Yeah, he can do the running duck man for stuff very well. other stuff in his bag as well that makes him interesting but he belongs right next to Mark Williams Yeah, okay Zach Edy Well now
Starting point is 00:08:31 As we learned about the injury I would say clock is ticking Well, let's calm down a little bit Let's come down a little bit Because now this is multiple years You came into this year With the messed up ankle Right now you are out for another four weeks
Starting point is 00:08:47 Because of your ankle Your rookie year You had a bunch of injuries Did he's rookie year? I don't think he missed a certain amount of time. Okay, I don't know if it was the same thing or not. Yeah. I don't think we put him a clock is sticking yet.
Starting point is 00:08:58 It's a bit dramatic off who does this ankle injury is lingering. He's lingering for two and a half years. I need to know. Two and a half years where these numbers keep extending? I need to know. He's in you too. Yeah. He's missed a considerable amount of time during his first year.
Starting point is 00:09:12 I did. I just checked. God, yeah, it's tough. I'm not going to say clock is sticking just yet because it's still young. But I think he deserves to be in running dog, man. He's already like established himself with these like, what last? seven, ten games that he's played, you're firm, that moves me.
Starting point is 00:09:26 We have to figure out, sooner or later, are you going to be able to enroll in the Steph Curry ankle program or not? And who knows? Maybe. Maybe he will. DeMontes a bonus.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Steph really needs to sell that course on Instagram, man. Demontes sub bonus. Clock is mad, ticking. I'm not like, clock is ticking.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Clock is taken on, like, can we build around you and actually win games. Yeah. And it is. He said, that's too much for me. You asked me the clock. It struck.
Starting point is 00:09:55 The clock ticked two years ago for me, but for the consensus, the clock is ticking, I think. Yeah. Like, you've been on one of the worst teams in the entire league over the last, well, at least PR-wise the last few years. You're not a main reason why they're good. You're a pretty big reason why they're bad too. You're hurt right now, too. But it's like, what are we talking about right now? Nicole Ovosovich.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Big for no reason. Big for no reason. Big for no reason. That's guys, thanks. He's completely big for no reason. I feel like we haven't said many good things about him at all on this show
Starting point is 00:10:25 over the course of this show's existence he's been good for like maybe two weeks and that was earlier this year Strong jawline Mad strong you're right Matt Angular Yeah strong
Starting point is 00:10:34 That's true Isaiah Hardenstein Oh he's big for a good reason He's awesome Yeah Is he quite as good as the guys there Or is he more running dunk man Nah
Starting point is 00:10:45 So I think Not to I see I think he's big for good reason yeah he's really good he's super important okay so he's doing this year he can he has offensive he is good enough offensive chops and he's good enough of a of a defender to where he can start on so many other teams any team in the league he can start and make them better like there's not a team in the league where i can be like oh he wouldn't fit on the nix
Starting point is 00:11:09 he would be perfect obviously was there already before cat on the hawks he would kill obviously if it was on the lakers he would feast if he wasn't on the wars he would do wonders of stuff Curry shit bro if you put him on the back up big as the fucking nuggets he would eat and make them so much more better with the team there's not a team in league where you can imagine him thriving he's really fucking good great screen setter can roll can catch lobs obviously he has a floater that's a weapon to a team very good rim protector isn't the worst switch defender in the world the only thing he doesn't do is shoot jumpers and you can pass and that's fine that's okay he's low key a two-way demon but not a demigod so he's not quite demigod levels but
Starting point is 00:11:44 he is big for great reasons I agree even Even demon is a little... You're right. Two-way... Nuisance. Two-way monster. I think we're a monster, but not quite demon. There's a difference there.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Animal. Two-way animal. He is a two-way animal. Yeah. Okay. Two-way specimen. Okay. Animal makes it sound like you're dangerous.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Specimens are crazy. Glecline's like he's different. Maybe, okay, maybe creature. If you want to sound like a little bit more threatening. Okay. Then just animal. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Let's stick with this team, Chad Holmgren. Two-way demigod. That's a two-way. demi god this this guy the defensive value he brings the scoring is getting better and better as his hip gets healthy as he finally gets to play center some and get some real touches at a position that fits for him this is one of the best centers in the NBA a dp oh why they can average 20 yes you are a two-way demigod i can't even hate no more man last year it was me trying to keep the glaze away limit the amount of glaze that we have in the show for you and the thing is i have more than
Starting point is 00:12:40 enough to compensate for you so it was never going to change and now guess what he has even more on his plate this is overloaded i get to rest where do you go bear uh running dunk man he's still a great defender I think he's like big for good reason and dunk him he can't be running dunk man he carries that entire defense
Starting point is 00:12:59 still to this day but he do be running in dunk he does vote he do be running in dunking facts and like not only does he be running a dunkin that's all he does he only be running a dunkin I mean, he was in screens.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Well, you know what? It sounds like he's the greatest running dunk man of all time. He's a great defender, but he can be. And I would give him that credit. He does embody running dunk man. He's just like the go dead.
Starting point is 00:13:26 I guess. Ew, bad. DeAndre Aiden. This year, he's running dunk man too. Oh, he embodied,
Starting point is 00:13:35 he's the perfect running dunk man. For sure. You might be the second best run dunk man. Actually, I think he's better. Yeah. But he's with Luca Danschich. Super about running and ducking.
Starting point is 00:13:43 What I think about a true, what a true. running dunk man is it someone who's just mad neutral you're just not adding too much but you're also not taking your team at all bro just do the simple stuff that's him right there yeah and like edie and gobert are better defensively so they're more than neutral
Starting point is 00:13:57 but you listen they're just the best of running dunking so they get to break them all a little bit yeah these guys neutral last one miles turner what do we do with miles he doesn't fit a lot of these categories for real I don't think the clock is taking it's just miles Turner we know what he is yeah it's like the team is just weird
Starting point is 00:14:15 to run. How long are you just going to keep doing this? Just be doing what? For a long time. Just being you. He's better than the big for no reason, guys. Kind of big for no reason. And like the actual meaning, but he's too good for that. Spiritually, he's running dunk man, but he's running a shoot man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:32 But like, in his essence, he is running dunk man for what that means in this tier list. Yeah, can't do nothing else. He just runs the shoots. Maybe block his shot here and there. Yeah, he could be running dump. He's running a shoot man. That's all he is. He'll trail, shoot three's trailing.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Like a little bit of shots. You want to rebound real well? Don't ask. You want to catch a lob? Don't ask. You want to post up? Definitely don't ask. Please don't ask him to swing the rock two.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Bad decisions would be made. But he will run and he will shoot. Seven feet, no post against. God, man. And this is our tier list. We got your literally shack bro. Nicole Yoki standing alone. The two-way demigods.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Anthony Davis, Wemby, and Chet. That makes sense. All the other all stars that are big for good reason. then Hartnstein who slips in and then running dunk men clock is ticking I can envision maybe towards the end of the year
Starting point is 00:15:22 Singoon and during potentially edging their way up into a two-way demigod potentially that makes sense you've been talking a lot about Singoon edging have I
Starting point is 00:15:31 have I said those words together about him before I think you're no I think you're actually right the fact that you have thought about it and it's like a plausible thought no you guys
Starting point is 00:15:42 are nasty guys you're wild I have said that. You all, bro.
