Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, in a stunning turn of events, the Department of Justice just launched an investigation into the former FBI director and CIA director. Now, this comes as the Jeffrey Epstein debacle continues to accelerate. So, of course, we're going to get into this, show you what both sides are saying, and give you the bottom line. Fox News Alert, the FBI has just launched criminal investigations into two former Obama officials. former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey for their involvement in the Russia hoax. Sources say Director Brennan is under investigation for lying to Congress and that Brennan and Comey were involved in a conspiracy. Brennan apparently told Congress that he didn't have anything to do with the Steele dossier. But we're hearing that Brennan's two top CIA officers warned the director not to touch it and called it an internet rumor.
Starting point is 00:00:57 But Brennan pushed it hard anyway. Both Obama's FBI director and CIA director basically knew the Trump-Russia hoax came from Hillary Clinton's campaign, but they both used it to smear and investigate Donald Trump. Comey and Brennan's security clearances have both been stripped by the sitting president, and Comey just had a sit-down with the Secret Service over seashells. This is the beginning of a major confrontation. All right. So given the bombshell nature of this story and the respect that it deserves but probably won't get given the timing, I felt the need to bring up ground news. Now, if you guys haven't been following me, you know that we love to use ground news
Starting point is 00:01:38 because it shows us what both sides of the political spectrum is saying. And that helps us do what again? Think for ourselves. Don't take my word for things. And definitely don't take the word of the media and just do your own thinking. And that's what ground news will help you do. So if you guys want to follow along, just go to ground. news 4 slash devori. Now, as it pertains to this story of James Comey and the former CIA director
Starting point is 00:02:00 of being investigated, doesn't mean they've been convicted. What's interesting is who is reporting on this story? And it comes as no surprise that the right-leaning outlets are the only one talking about this. Why? Because Democrats don't want to be a part of this. In fact, what they're going to say when they do report on this is that President Trump is weaponizing the DOJ against his opponents because they're that lazy. He forced the inclusion of the steel dossier into this entire investigation, yet it was kind of like, oh, look, me, who, what, you know, when it was brought up. So that's what I think they're focused on regarding Brennan.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Your reaction tonight? They are. Well, first of all, I want to say something very clearly, Laura. There's going to be people on the left and the corporate propagandists who are going to start screaming. This is political revenge. This is about settling political scores. that has nothing to do with any of that.
Starting point is 00:02:55 This actually has to do with restoring the rule of law and the equal application of the law. John Brennan of everything that we're seeing now went out of his way to include the fake steel dossier, which he knew was fake in that 2017 ICA, to legitimize that document so it could be justifiably used to target the duly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:03:19 And then James Comey and Andrew McCabe and James Baker, who was the general counsel of the FBI, knowingly used the fake steel dossier, not once, not twice, four times to secure those FISA warrants to backdoor spying on Donald Trump. This is a gross and egregious abuse of power and of trust, and I would consider highly illegal acts. And essentially what he is talking about is accountability. If we don't have accountability, then what do we really have here?
Starting point is 00:03:49 That's why this announcement, although it is a bomb show. and although it's very important, it's getting overshadowed by the lack of accountability from the Jeffrey Epstein case. There's no question about it. And that's why I encourage you guys to use a tool like Ground News, because you've got to be able to educate yourself. Clearly, we cannot believe what the federal government is telling us, whether it's a Republican in office or a Democrat in office. But what you can't depend on is ground news ability to show you when one side is going to report on a story, but another one is not. It's also known as Blind Spot. That's what we just showed.
Starting point is 00:04:22 you with this story today. And that's why we encourage you to use Ground News. So if you want to use this tool for yourself, all you have to do is go to ground.combe. Or you can download the mobile app, just use promo code DeVoree. And it's going to give you access to everything that I showed you in this video, including 40% off the vantage plan. It looks like there has been an investigation opened up into James Comey and John Brennan, possibly lying to Congress in a conspiracy over the Russia hoax. What can you tell us about that? Well, I just heard that news at the top of your show, and I'm glad to hear it, because both of these disgraceful individuals turned against our Constitution and our country,
Starting point is 00:05:04 and I'm sure they did, in fact, lie to Congress, and it's up to the Department of Justice to investigate that and to prosecute them if they did. And what we have seen is corruption at the highest levels against President Trump. The deep state threw everything at him to prevent him from coming back to this big, beautiful White House behind me. And he prevailed and the truth must come out. And this administration is totally committed to transparency and to justice and to accountability. And we must have a rule of law in this country. We can't be a nation without law and order.
Starting point is 00:05:34 That's what the president believes in. And I'm glad to see the Department of Justice is opening up this investigation. All right. All right. So bottom line up front, this is a huge announcement. But there's a couple of issues. Number one, the timing. I asked the question earlier on X, what will President Trump do to shift the media narrative
Starting point is 00:05:51 surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, well, I believe they think this is going to do it because what took them so long to announce this investigation? And that brings me to number three, do we really believe the FBI is going to hold James Comey and the former CIA director both accountable? You really think they're going to go to prison? If Hillary Clinton didn't go to prison for what she did, these guys are definitely not going to prison. Let's get real. And the other thing we need to get real about is the reality that the Jeffrey Epstein case is not going away, even though this announcement has been made. In fact, it will cause Trump supporters who are nerved by this reaction from the White House and they're handling over it to double down and continue to push the administration to tell the truth here. And I'm actually hardened by Maga Worlds continuing to hold the administration's feet to the fire.
Starting point is 00:06:48 I think sometimes you would expect folks to sort of defer to the president, and that's just not happening. I think most of us who are on social media see that people are not satisfied with the answers from the administration, and they shouldn't be because we had not just the attorney general, but also the director of the FBI and the deputy director of the FBI, all say that those two gentlemen, Cash Patel and Dan Bongino, say last year and the year before. Cash Patel said that FBI and DOJ wouldn't do anything under the bond. Biden administration that it was up to Republicans in Congress to do it and that DOJ and FBI wouldn't do anything about it because of who was on the list. Dan Bongino then said that it was his opinion that a foreign intelligence agency was behind what is not just a pedophilia ring, but really a sex blackmail operation or what is known in the intelligence community as a honeypot. He said that a couple of years ago, but that's not even a fringe view.
Starting point is 00:07:44 People sort of suggest that this is sort of a conspiracy theory. Laura, I think it's important to remember there are left-wing journalists, right-wing journalists and mainstream news reporters, including Miami Herald, who have all come to the same conclusion that this was a sex blackmail operation aimed at entrapping powerful political people, Bill Gates, maybe the most famous, but also politicians, on camera with underage young women, and that's what appears to me, the cameras in all the other room. So when Attorney General Bonnie talks about tens of thousands of hours of video, I I think it's understandable that the perception people had was that it was the videos of the blackmailing, not just of downloaded pornography. Now, in case I didn't make it clear in the video earlier, at the end of the day, this is not on the top of people's priority lists who are barely making it. Okay. They're working hard. They're taking care of their family. I understand that.
Starting point is 00:08:38 The reason why we are actually continuing to discuss this is because you can't have it both ways, Trump administration. You can't say you're all about law and order transparency and holding people accountable, but then you drop the ball on this one. And the reason why this one is so important is because we're talking about children and pedophiles and powerful people being involved. If that's not accountability, then I don't know what is. Now, to be fair, the FBI has opened 250 investigations tied to violent online networks, particularly called 764, that praise on teens, top officials have stated. They've also arrested close to 700 child traffickers and pedophiles so far. And, you know, we're only six months into this administration. So they get credit there. I'm not saying they are 110% failures. Again, it's about setting expectations. It's part of
Starting point is 00:09:35 human behavior. It's a great lesson. Don't over promise. Because when you do and you underdeliver, people are going to be naturally disappointed and they're not just going to let it go so easily. While there might not be a list, there are certainly files that can be released. There's a trove of information that the Trump administration is right now refusing to share information that could well point to the powerful folks
Starting point is 00:10:02 who availed themselves of the sex trafficking victims of Jeffrey Epstein. If you go, for example, to the FBI vault online, you can see that there are 22, containing thousands of pages. Most of them are heavily redacted. Now, sure, of course. Redact the names and identifying characteristics of the victims.
Starting point is 00:10:20 But why not make the victim and witness testimonies public? As Julie Brown points out, there's still so much we don't know from the investigations by U.S. attorneys in Miami and in New York. Witness interviews in the U.S. Virgin Islands and New Mexico. Brown writes that there's still more evidence that hasn't been published, including, quote, Epstein kept video cameras in most of his residences.
Starting point is 00:10:41 And Epstein's autopsy, nor the report of the investigation into his death, has ever been made public. So while there may not be an official client list to be released, as the administration is now saying, there's a lot of extra information that is not being made public, despite Trump's Justice Department, basically now saying case closed. This isn't going to go away. The public, you, you're being played for fools here. Now, the reason why I played that clip for you is to really make my point. fake tapper out of all people starts to make sense. And he says something that even in your head
Starting point is 00:11:17 like, yeah, he has a great point. You know we have a problem. And again, it's about accountability. We want Trump to be successful. We want our federal government to be successful. But what we ultimately want before all that is the pedophiles to be held accountable and the full weight of the justice system to destroy them. That's what we really want. And do we believe collectively that in regards to the Epstein case, we really got that? Absolutely not. And the reason why we feel that way is because, like you just heard fake tap or say, there's so much more information they haven't released. All right, so let's leave that alone finally and move to our next story. And this is Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas. He had an interesting press conference today, and he said some things that caught the media's attention. And the way that he pretty much dodged a question in regards to what is Texas doing to prevent some. something like this from happening, which, listen, I think there's only so much you can do. Mother Nature is going to do what Mother Nature is going to do. But I want you guys to hear his answer and tell me what you think about it.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Take a look. Second party of question needs to be addressed. You ask, I'm going to use your words. Who's to blame? Know this. That's the word choice of losers. Let me explain one thing about Texas. And that is, Texas, every square inch of our state cares.
Starting point is 00:12:40 about football. You could be in Hunt, Texas, Huntsville, Texas, Houston, Texas, any size community they care about football. High school, Friday Night Lights, college football, or pro. And know this. Every football team makes mistakes. The losing teams are the ones that try to point out who's to blame. The championship teams are the ones that say, don't worry about it, man, we got this. We're going to make sure that we go score again, then we're going to win this game. the way winners talk is not to point fingers they talk about solutions what texas is all about is solutions okay so bottom line up front i love that response from the governor now as you guys know i'm moving to texas i'm happy to know that my governor thinks that way okay because the bottom line
Starting point is 00:13:28 is when you approach life whether it's problems or solutions whether someone has tragically died in your family or someone has reached a high level of success whatever it is mindset is step number one. What is your perception? What is your reaction to what's happening? In fact, the better question, are you reacting or are you responding? And that question is so prudent for people who are in leadership positions where people are looking at you to lead the way. They're not looking at you to play the victim. They're not looking at you to make excuses and blame other people. They're looking at you to make decisions and bring this tragic situation to a close so people can move on with their lives.
Starting point is 00:14:12 And that's exactly what the governor was saying. And, of course, the media, because they're so fixated on getting clickbait, they had to ask the governor that type of question. And so I think that was a phenomenal response from him. The fact, I want to read you something that I received last night. That's worth emphasizing to put this in context. tragedy has come as that part is done what we do now who we are now that's what the story is still being written let it be one of grace of grit of fierce love in the face of grief
Starting point is 00:15:01 let it be the kind of story that proves that the hill country may flood but it does not fail Say what you will about Texas, but when the rivers rise, so do we. Not with blame, not with bitterness, but with boots on the ground, arms around strangers, and hearts wide open. That's the Texas I know, and that's the America that I believe in. What this person wrote is what I know is true for all Texans and what we will achieve every single day. again phenomenal response from the governor great leadership you'll never see that from a gavin new scum which i'm going to get to later in this video but let me make sure you guys have the most updated information this is as of one hour ago 160 people are still missing and at least
Starting point is 00:15:54 109 people have lost their lives in this terrible tragedy now this disaster has affected 15 counties and we already know they are receiving the aid from the federal government and we already know based on what we've seen so far that a warning system that is similar to when a tornado would hit is exactly what that area is missing but it comes down to the question will they spend the money to get it now here is the former county commissioner on CNN answering that question about what happened with all that we proceeded with trying to get funding for our plan without the sirens. We applied for state grants. We were not successful in doing that. But knowing what's happened in Kerrville in the past is primarily people crossing,
Starting point is 00:16:45 low water crossings. We did install, the county installed low water passing gauges to let everybody know when it was safe and unsafe to pass. To my knowledge, okay, but it would be good to have something for out-of-state, out-of-town visitors that are camping there. And that's what the objective is. And I think that's what the governor is saying, let's look forward, let's get a robust system now. And I think that can easily be done, and it can be done quickly in a matter of a few years.
Starting point is 00:17:18 And it's not talking about millions of dollars. It's talking about a few, I mean, billions, talking about a few million dollars to do that in my judgment. Yeah, I mean, we heard the lieutenant governor talking about, if Kerr County needs funding, the state is there. But as you noted, the state has not always been there. And the same New York Times reporter also pointed out on social media, quote, while the state has identified $54 billion in flood control needs,
Starting point is 00:17:44 the legislature has funded only a fraction of that. They have other priorities. This year, lawmakers approved $51 billion in tax relief. Food for thought, I guess. Okay. All right. So on that final point, I know. okay so on that final point uh i'm very familiar because when you grow up in california it's the same
Starting point is 00:18:04 issue except it's wildfires and not flooding and although the state approves the amount it doesn't mean they will spend that amount but the fact that the matter is if the money's not making it down to the lower level the people need to start screaming they need to hold their people accountable their leaders accountable and not let them get by now the other people who should be held accountable the media and how they take what people are saying and misrepresent it. So we watched and listened to what the governor had to say, Greg Abbott. Here is CNN's response to what he said. Lee, you were at that presser with Governor Abbott. You asked him a question. He seemed to sidestep. Exactly, Jake. We asked him a question that rose from an earlier local press conference
Starting point is 00:18:52 asking about who was in charge and what steps were taken during those critical hours before that first alert came in at 114 in the morning on Friday and when the wall of water arrived here just before 5 a.m. And again, what we've seen from these officials here is sidestepping the blame. We asked him if he was concerned and what he was looking into personally. And he said, again, they're focusing on the rescue operations, not focused on pointing fingers at this point. Okay, so that was Exhibit A on why nobody respects the mainstream media. In fact, why people hate them and how misleading that they can be, and just are filled with propaganda. I mean, it's just really sad that that was the takeaway from what the governor was saying.
Starting point is 00:19:33 He's the governor. He's not in the weeds, okay? He's got people below him that can answer the clear details that you are so obsessed with. It's just fascinating how addicted they are to doing things like this. Now, what's also troubling is how addicted Democrats are to how they've been responding to this tragedy, not just politicians, but people in their base who are celebrating. people losing their lives because of the color of their skin. It's really disturbing.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Now, here's Chris Cuomo and his reaction to the nonsense. Got 109 or whatever the number is right now, dead in Texas. The number's going to go up. 160 missing. How is this not just a point of empathy and sympathy? Children's dead bodies being recovered all day Saturday? And then this Houston pediatrician writes, May all visitors, children, non-maga voters, and pets be safe and dry.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Are you effing kidding me? They deny climate change? I mean, since when is death not more important than your politics? Even if you think policy, decisions, rhetoric, leaders had something to do with the outcome, why does it become tantamount to that outcome? them. Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, I've been trying to get him on the show. Now I don't want them. Accurate weather forecasting helps avoid fatal disasters. That's what you say. That's exactly what they say, Chris, because as you are aware, they're unhinged, radical lunatics.
Starting point is 00:21:12 You know, when I first started to hear President Trump described Democrats as far left lunatics, I used to chuckle because I'm like, okay, I know he's probably playing games. But as I continue to talk about politics every single day and see the stories and the reactions, it's absolutely true. Now, not all of them behave that way, but most of them do. And even if they don't, they enable the behavior. Now, Republicans are not innocent either, but the fact remains when it comes to tragedies in our country, we see how Democrats like to react to it, and it's not good. Matter of fact, it's just disgusting. Now, here's another Democrat this time on Fox News, heard Ford Jr. and his take on this.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I never believed during a crisis when Americans, regardless of where they live or how they voted, that any president of any party or any politician of any party should be bargaining for political gain or advantage as they talk about people experiencing and facing hardship. My prayers go out, as Emily said, to everyone. The one area where I do think we have to look at what's happening and what can happen going forward in terms of assistance
Starting point is 00:22:20 is that flash flood alley, they're going to continue to face rain there. Do they have what they need? This is not a partisan or political comment. This is a public safety and humanity comment. We had to figure out whatever it is they need that we are in the business of providing it. Because the last thing I want to do is wake up another Saturday morning or Friday morning and learn that children at a summer camp is I think about sending my own kids to sleep away camp next year faced with these families are having to deal with today.
Starting point is 00:22:48 And that's how you do it, Democrats. Just have a little humility. Put your feelings about President Trump to the side and focus on what you claim to have, which is empathy or at a minimum sympathy for victims. But something tells me they don't have the ability to do that collectively as a party right now because that would mean what? They wouldn't get the chance to undermine President Trump. Now, I have a perfect example of that, which leads us to our next story. And that is Governor Gavin Newscum, who's the polar opposite of Governor Greg Abbott, as you know, because he's doing exactly what we just discuss. He's using a tragedy to politicize in order to score political points in an effort to do what undermine President Trump. What a disgrace what's happening in MacArthur Park. What theater. On the six-month anniversary, after all, of these fires, that's the message from the polluted heart of the president. United States, the polluted heart of Stephen Miller. Those National Guard men and women that were out there protecting people are now being
Starting point is 00:23:59 used as political ponds out there on horsebacks running through soccer fields in the middle of the day, timed around announcements and events like this. It says everything you and I need to know about the state of mind. of the President of the United States in this administration. Okay, so on the six-month anniversary, I don't know who does six-month anniversities for the record, in regards to the Los Angeles County wildfires that happen in the Pacific Palisades and Antedina,
Starting point is 00:24:36 which never gets any attention, by the way. I guess the governor is trying to celebrate that in a sense, but what is he truly celebrating? Because the numbers are not on his side. In fact, CBS, who is heavily liberal, did an entire story showing how embarrassing the response has been from the state when it comes to handling all of the claims in regards to the wildfire victims. Take a look at this. Really incredible images. Today, California Governor Gavin Newsom marked six months since the historic
Starting point is 00:25:05 palisades and eaten fires. They started January 7th and killed 30 people and destroyed thousands of homes. California Governor Gavin Newsom spoke to residents today. This has been the this fire recovery in terms of debris removal in modern history. But many survivors say the road to recovery is filled with roadblocks. Of the more than 12,000 homes burned, county officials have only issued 85 building permits. Just one in four homeowners with severe loss have had their insurance claims fully approved, according to new numbers from victims advocates. 70% are battling insurance denials, delays,
Starting point is 00:25:47 delays and underpayments. Joy Chen is the co-founder of Eaton Fire Survivors Network. Our insurance has been an impediment instead of the safety net that we always believed it would be. And that's why we are calling on our state officials to do their job of protecting California families and ensuring that insurers are held accountable. The state has launched an investigation into California's largest provider, State Farm, over how it's handled claims. The company tells CBS News it's received almost 13,000 claims, paid out more than $4 billion, and is still actively working with homeowners. Now, the interesting thing about this story and what backs up the claim that Governor Gavin New Scum is incompetent and hasn't really
Starting point is 00:26:34 delivered the results he claimed he would. And the fact that it's all a lie that this has been the fastest fire response is look no further to Steve Hilton, who's running for governor of the state doing a press conference yesterday in front of buildings that have yet to be cleaned, debris that's yet to be removed, and homes that are yet to be rebuilt. I mean, that tells you how slow it's been going. And here's another example. A photo that was taken in the Pacific Palisades today still shows things have not improved. So while you can get in front of a camera and say one thing, what you can't argue with is the
Starting point is 00:27:10 physical results. And that brings us to your reaction in the comment section, starting. with Governor Greg Abbott and how he handled the media when they were looking for a clickbait response, I guess, from him. And he said the things that I would expect a leader to do, which is not spend time playing the victim and blaming people, but to get on with the solutions. Let me know if you guys see it the same way. Also, we know the Jeffrey Epstein case is purely annoyance at this point and is overshadowing the bombshell announced from the DOJ, where they are now investigating the former FBI director and the former CIA director. Do I believe they will
Starting point is 00:27:46 be held accountable? Absolutely not, but I still want to know what you guys think. And then Gaviner Gavin Newscombe. What a pathetic individual. Tell me your thoughts in the comment section below. Now earlier today, President Trump was able to celebrate another victory from the Supreme Court, where they struck down a lower court judge injunction against the administration. And of course, there was more stuff about Jeffrey Epstein. But if you missed out on all the stories earlier today, All you have to do is click on that video because it's coming up right now.
