Starting point is 00:00:00 Governor Tim Walls has pardoned a criminal illegal migrant who's guilty of being someone. And this is another demonstration of why their empathy is misplaced. It is being weaponized in a way that is suicidal to our society. And it just shows the lack of empathy they have for the victims. Let's listen to this now. There are new accusations against top officials in Sanctuary State, Minnesota, over protecting an illegal immigrant convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl, It's a hard story to talk about and to read about, but it happened.
Starting point is 00:00:32 We need to tell you. Homeland Security accusing Governor Tim Walls of granting a pardon, effectively just wiping away his criminal record to help shield the man from a final order of deportation. So Brooke, he joins us now for more. And Brooke, what did you find out? Good morning. Hi, Bill. Good morning. Well, Governor Tim Walts facing a major backlash for this.
Starting point is 00:00:52 So he sits on the board that pardoned this convicted child's sex offender as he was just about to be deported. So back in 2006, Tau Lee Vang right here, he was convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Minnesota. He pleaded guilty. 10-year-old girl. Guilty was issued a final order of removal. And the governor comes in and saves him. The governor, just so we understand, bottom line up front, a sitting governor issued a pardon. to wipe away this man's crimes so he couldn't get deported.
Starting point is 00:01:38 That's how bad it is at this point. What other signal are you sending to American citizens who have been harmed by scumbags like this? Don't you think a scumbag like that has no business being in the country? Oh, that's right. Tim Wong's is friends with school shooters. In a deal that kept him out of prison, DHS says that conviction cost him his legal. status and made him deportable. Well, the details in these court documents, there are two graphic for me to repeat to you on air, but it describes the abuse spanning two years from the time
Starting point is 00:02:12 the victim was 10 to just 12 years old. The girl told investigators she met Vang through her older sister who he later married. Investigators say he admitted, quote, I made a mistake, but this is a minor thing. It's a cultural thing in Thailand to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12. That is true. He could be right about that, but this ain't Thailand, bro. This is the United States of America. You become an adult at the age of 18.
Starting point is 00:02:41 And some people are just not compatible with our culture. This would be a prime example of why. This would be a prime example. Why someone like that has no business been in our country, especially if they entered illegally and committed heinous acts like this. How could a... I don't even think you can make sense of this. I don't think you can.
Starting point is 00:03:05 But let's go to the governor because here he is signing that pardon. The applicant is requesting a pardon. A pardon may be given to an individual who has finished their sentence and completed a waiting period. No member of the board has requested a second hearing. The board members may ask questions of the executive director Stark and chair Lindstrom who have joined us and we may discuss amongst ourselves. We will then have a vote on whether to grant or deny the pardon. to Mr. Vag. They already know what the vote is, by the way.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Come on now. It's not like they just showed up and, oh, we're going to figure this out on top of our head. No, they've already kind of know. They already know what's going to happen here. The board may grant a pardon unless myself as governor or a majority of the board opposes the relief. The applicant has been unanimously recommended for a pardon by the clemency review
Starting point is 00:03:54 commission without the need for a second hearing. The clemency review commission recommends the board of pardons grant a pardon without a second hearing to jive. So at this point, we don't need to hear anything about January 6, right? Is that fair to say now? Are we good on that?
Starting point is 00:04:14 I don't want to hear any complaints about the president pardoning January 6 people. I don't want to hear it. None of them are rapists or pedophiles. None of them were in the country illegally. Most of them didn't even put their hands on an officer. I don't want to hear it. You guys want to pardon
Starting point is 00:04:31 scumbags? like this, go right in the head. It's his authority. He can do it. That's the other thing about this. There's nothing to really push back on in regards to his authority. He's allowed to issue partons like this. But he can definitely receive the same level of criticism that the president did in regards to partnering January 6th. I'm not even equating these two. I'm just telling you, the only other stories out there were president pardoning January 6 individuals and Joe Biden pardoning his family. So this is the trade-off with Partons overall. At this time, I would mention that Mr. Bang was convicted as an 18-year-old of a robbery involving a firearm.
Starting point is 00:05:13 He was subsequently arrested and tried and did time in prison for that crime. Since that time, as an 18-year-old over the past 30-plus years, Mr. Bang has, started a family. He's become a critical member of the community, and he has lived a life without any serious criminal violations since that part. Well, let's hear more about this guy's record, because I think the bottom line here is someone who's been in the country illegally should not even be eligible for a pardon. So that's another thing. And if you rape a child at 10 years old, let me back up and just say this.
Starting point is 00:06:07 What prison was this man sent at? Because someone like him, I'm surprised he's still alive. I don't wish it will on him, but I'm shocked. To DHS, he received a deportation order after his conviction. But earlier this month, Minnesota's Board of Pardons voted to pardon him. Federal officials say this wipes away his conviction that made him removable and now could help him fight deportation. So the three-member board includes Governor Tim Waltz, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Chief Justice Natalie Hudson. I want you to take a good look at that photo.
Starting point is 00:06:46 That's your hero right there. That's your A-team, America. These are the people keeping you safe. Well, we already know the problem with Keith Ellison, Tim Wall, stolen valor, and this woman, I don't even know her like that. She hasn't really been in the news, but, you know, I'll keep my comments to myself. I don't want to get too crazy about this. It is what it is. All right.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Let's keep going here. DHS blasted the decision, saying in part, Governor Tim Walts' decision to pardon an illegal alien, convicted child rapist so he can remain in our country, is disgusting. This pardon will take away the child rapist qualifying convictions that made him removable from the United States. Now, we reached out to all three board members, including Governor Walts, to ask why they decided to pardon this convicted child sex offender. We have not heard back, Bill. And you won't hear back. Why do you think they're going to explain themselves? They won't. Right. They made it very clear who they want to protect. They have made very clear who they are prioritizing. They made it very clear who they want to put their money into.
Starting point is 00:08:05 It ain't me and you. That's for sure. It ain't in that victim. I mean, if I was that victim, I'd find a way to sue. These are damages. I know. Maybe that's not going to actually play out in court very well, but, you know, I think it's very clear who they care about. And these are actually low-hanging fruits that are self-inflicted, in my opinion. The governor should have never did this. This is bad optics all around. You don't even have to be in support a mass deportation to agree that this is bad optics. It's just why do this?
Starting point is 00:08:43 What's the hassle for? To stick it to the Trump administration? So in other news that we're not surprised about, Tim Walz pardoned an illegal alien who essayed a child back in 2015. 5. If I lived on the moon, I would have still seen this coming. It's not surprising. It's egregious, but it's not surprising. This is the same guy who wanted tampons in the boy's bathroom. Jazz hands just can't make good decisions to save his life. This illegal alien was also supposed to be deported, but now he can stay here in the comfort of America and probably commit more heinous crimes. So good job, Tim. Yeah, good job, Tim. I mean, it shouldn't be a
Starting point is 00:09:32 surprise. I mean, Tim Walls is an individual who lied about his rank at retirement, said he was a command sergeant major, which he was not at the point of retirement, was never on his DD-214 or any documents that would prove his service and whatever he qualified for. So I don't think we should be surprised by this outcome. But it definitely continues to demonstrate that you can't put your faith in your life and your expectations of what you want in this country in the hands of elected representatives, especially someone who has committed stolen baller. I mean, he has a lack of character
Starting point is 00:10:05 and didn't even apologize for it, by the way. And they had to do this whole clean-up job and fixed a website and try to erase it. But the bottom line is we know who these people are. We do. And this is why your local elections matter more than anything else. And so she's spot on about that.
