So President Trump scored two wins today, one from CBS, as their settlement has come to an agreement in the amount of $16 million.
Also, the University of Penn is stripping Leah Thomas from the history books and acknowledging that men will no longer play in women's sports under that university.
And this video is sponsored by SimplySafe. There's no safe like SimplySafe.
The parent company of CBS News, Paramount Global, has agreed to pay.
pay $16 million in order to resolve a lawsuit filed by Donald Trump that many legal experts
said was frivolous and dangerous. Trump claimed a 60-minute interview with then Vice President
Kamala Harris was deliberately edited to benefit her and hurt him. Paramount says the settlement
does not include a statement of apology or regret. The money will not be paid to Trump directly,
but allocated to his future presidential library. Okay, so let's go over the winners and losers of this
story, starting with President Trump. Clearly the winner here, he's holding them accountable for how
unfair they've been, especially during the election and how they handled that Kamala Harris
interview, which we're going to show you how bad it really was as a reminder. But then his
presidential library gets $16 million. I mean, that still is $16 million. The other winner here
is Paramount. They are the ones who owns CBS, and they're trying to get this merger completed between them
and Skydance, which is worth way more money than the $16 million they have to pay.
out. And who are the losers? It's the Democrats. It's the people who hate President Trump,
particularly the journalists, a part of CBS, that entire team, they are disgusted at President
Trump. We know they don't cover him fairly. You saw what they did with Kamala Harris. And they still
today believe that they did the right thing. Well, we know that is a joke. So that's why they
are the losers. Now, before we go any further, let's listen to CNN and what some of the critics are
saying about this deal and ultimately the way that they are describing this. Take a look.
Critics of this settlement deal say that CBS is hurting its reputation by caving to Trump.
The president's lawsuit was always legally dubious,
with First Amendment attorneys telling CNN that it was, quote,
frivolous and ridiculous.
But the lawsuit was taken seriously by the owners of CBS,
because those owners have been rushing to complete a multi-billion dollar merger
between Paramount and Skydance.
The merger requires Trump administration approval
because CBS owns local stations that are licensed by the government.
And so this is a case of corporate priorities trumping journalistic principles.
So that's one way to see it from people who lean left on this issue.
They believe this is the corporate put it in their best interest first over journalistic
principles, as you heard from CNN.
The only problem with that statement is CNN is not really following any principles
in regards to journalism.
They're so far gone from that.
And they quite frankly have zero credibility in regards to journalism.
They might as well be in the entertainment.
That's what Fox News is in.
Fox News does not say they are journalists.
They're in the entertainment business.
So at the end of the day, I'm not buying that argument whatsoever.
However, I do agree that the company is doing what's in their best interest.
I do agree with that.
I just don't think it has anything to do with journalistic principles.
That is a complete joke.
Now, here's another perspective from people who lean left on this issue.
Take a listen.
But in settling this lawsuit, it's setting this very, very bleak press freedom message
message that we're willing to concede on something. We don't even think we did wrong in order
to get our business goals accomplished. So you're seeing press freedom advocates are absolutely distraught
over this. I will say, though, from the Paramount corporate perspective, they probably see this as a
pretty big win for two reasons. One, they're only paying $16 million, which it's still a lot of
money, but it's only one million more than what ABC it's, you know, rival settled for. And then two,
they don't have to give an on-air apology. One of the things that was really holding up this
this lawsuit settlement negotiation was whether or not they'd have to apologize.
This 60 Minutes team, the CBS News team, has been going through so much.
This has killed morale.
An on-air apology would have tanked morale probably for good.
Okay.
And what they forget to leave out in that statement, because I don't believe morale is any good
anyway, because their CEO and president, Wendy McMahon, she just resigned.
And that actually came after Bill Owens.
He resigned too.
He was the executive producer of 60 Minutes.
and they did end up releasing the unedited version.
So I think in the end, they all lose here,
except for the corporate individuals
who are really in the business of making money and surviving
versus people who are in the business of always trying to be right
and do something to undermine the president.
So that's the way that I see it.
Now, let's actually go to a quick clip here from Mays on X.
He put a nice little before and after situation here with Kamala Harris
that I think you're going to enjoy
and it's great timing because it's her answer on Israel and Iran.
Take a listen.
But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.
Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our.
advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.
But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.
We're not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about
where we stand on the need for this war to end.
And what's interesting about that, it seems that the edited version is worse than the actual
answer.
So I don't know.
But listen, we know that these interviews are edited.
Let's not be naive here, folks.
They've edited President Trump's interviews, and they definitely edited a lot of her
interviews. The difference here is the amount of editing that took place, especially when they
released the first clip, that clearly was not actually her answer. And they took parts of what
she said and kind of put it together. And that right there, I would say, is misleading and
definitely cause for someone to at least sue them. It doesn't mean they would win. I think you
guys know where I'm getting at. Now, here's the perspective from the right, particularly on Fox News
and what they think about all this. Take a listen. The only reason any of this happened is
because President Trump was willing to go and pick a fight that few Republicans ever want to get into.
And he has fought with the media every step of the way, he's not afraid of it, and this was the result of it.
And I love the fact that that new rule, the new rule with CBS, where they release the full unedited transcripts, is called within the building the Trump rule.
And that will live on long after Trump is gone.
and just a reminder of, you know, the guy is unafraid to take on any entity that is in his way,
and it winds up paying off, and it turns out that you actually can go up against the system
and actually put up some wins like that.
Yeah, and I would say that's part of the credit that President Trump deserves
is his willingness to go up against the system.
We know the system is corrupt.
There's no question about that.
We know the establishment is really the ones who are trying to.
trying to destroy this country. And, you know, he deserves the credit as someone who's not afraid.
And I think everybody can learn a lesson like that in their own lives. You should not be
afraid of people who may be more powerful or bigger than you because you got to sometimes
stand on principle. And I would argue most of the times it's something that God wants you to do.
Now, this takes us to our next story because it's also something in the same realm of standing
up to the system. University of Penn has announced that they are banning transatlantic
trans athletes, meaning what? Men will no longer be allowed to participate in women's sports.
Understand who this university is. These are the same individuals that awarded a trans athlete
over Riley Gaines. Even though it was a tie, they gave the championship to the transgender
or the man, Mr. Thomas, as we know. Now, here is that announcement from Newsmax. Take a look.
The University of Pennsylvania agreeing to ban biological men from its women's
sports teams to resolve a federal civil rights case that found the school violated the rights of
female athletes. The Education Department announcing this voluntary agreement. Now, the case here
focuses on the swimmer Leah Thomas. You see here, a biological man who identified as a woman
who last competed for the Ivy League back in 2022. Thomas becoming the first openly transgender athlete to
win a division one title. The decision comes as the Trump administration is trying to ban biological
males from competing on all girls and women's sports teams. Also under the agreement, UPenn,
agreeing to restore all individual division one swimming records and titles to females who lost
to Leah Thomas. Penn also agreeing to send personalized apology letters to each one of those swimmers.
U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon releasing the statement, staying in part, quote,
Today is a great victory for women and girls not only at the University of Pennsylvania, but all across our nation.
The Department commends UPenn's for rectifying its past harms against women and girls.
And we will continue to fight relentlessly to restore Title IX's proper application and enforce it to the fullest extent of the law.
I've always believed in protecting your peace, but let's be real.
It's a lot easier to relax when you know your home is protected too.
That's why I've teamed up with today's sponsors simply say the home security system,
genuinely trust. Because break-ins don't just steal your stuff, they rob you of your sense of
safety, and that's not something I'm willing to compromise. Simply say system is so easy to set up,
no tools, no installers, just plug it in, place your sensors, and you're covered in under 30 minutes.
And this isn't your clunky's 90s alarm system. It's modern tech with 24-7 professional
monitoring, powered by real humans ready to dispatch help when you need it most. And what I'm
really excited about right now is their active guard outdoor protection. Most systems,
only respond after someone breaks in, but with active guard, suspicious behavior gets flagged
before anything even happens.
Simply Saves AI power cameras can spot and speak to people lurking outside, flash the spotlight,
sound and alarm, and even call the police all before a break in even takes place.
Even better, its advanced AI can take familiar faces from actual threat so your dog walker
won't accidentally set off the system.
Whatever I'm home or traveling, I know I could check in through the mobile app and have peace
of mind right in my pocket. And that's why I partnered with SimplySafe to bring my audience an
exclusive 50% discount on your new SimplySafe system. I want you to enjoy the same piece of mind
we have. Just scan the QR code on the screen or go to simplysafe.com forward slash DeVore to get
started today. Okay. So this is again another huge win for the Trump administration. It's what
President Trump promised he would do. Now this is just one university. There's a lot out there,
including ones in California that I know probably will never do this.
But more importantly, what are people on the left going to say?
How are they going to react?
Well, they're going to claim, once again, President Trump is trying to erase them from the face of the earth,
that they are trying to talk down to them, that they're third-rate citizens of our country,
and that they are really the ones that are in danger and have been damaged.
And all of that is a complete joke and a victimization.
type of mindset because the true victims in all of this are the female athletes who never agreed
to compete against a biological male. And I've been saying this every time this comes up.
Instead of trying to take a man and put them in a women's sport, why don't you guys go create
your own league where you want transgender to compete against each other? But there's no reason
why we have to put up with your delusion, just like you don't want to put up with our delusion,
then go create your own league, even though I know we're not delusional, okay?
Now here's what Riley Gaines had to say. Take a listen.
Your reaction tonight. Historic news from UPenn.
Man, I watched that video back, Laura, that you showed in the intro to this segment,
and I cannot even believe that happened.
All the while, so many sat idly by and watched and actually reprimanded us as women,
if we even dared to speak about this, to say that I, of course,
I'm grateful for Secretary McMahon, for President Trump, for even Attorney General Bondy.
She's been fantastic at the Department of Justice on this issue.
As an understatement, I feel vindicated.
I feel like pigs are flying.
I feel like hell has frozen over.
So it is a fantastic day, of course, for sanity, for common sense.
But I think more broadly, for women, for humanity, for the little girl that I'm growing inside of me right now,
that I will welcome to the world in just a few weeks.
I think of her.
I think of her future.
that is what Donald Trump and, of course, Secretary McMahon and myself, that is what we are fighting for.
So very, very excited about today's news.
Yeah, I mean, it's just common sense.
Majority of Americans agree.
Men should not be playing in women's sports.
And it's delusional for some people out there to say that they're not really a man.
Biologically, you are.
Now, in your mind, if you want to believe there's something else, go right on ahead.
But that does not mean we have to change laws and compromise to your own delusion.
Okay, let's go to our other story. This is an update in regards to the one big, beautiful
bill. We know it passed the Senate yesterday. The House could vote on it as soon as today,
but first we're going to hear from a couple of Democrats, because now they're in a tough
situation. We already know they're against the bill. The problem is they're now openly
admitting they're against no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security.
so it's a bad messaging and quite frankly it's another fatal mistake for the party here is my first
example from none other than aOC take a listen bill on this point of tax on tips as one of the
only people in this body who has lived off of tips i want to tell you a little bit about the scam
of that text a little bit of the fine print there the cap on that is 25 000 dollars while you're jacking up
taxes on people who make less than $50,000 across the United States while taking away their
snap, while taking away their Medicaid, while kicking them off of the ACA and their health care
extensions. So if you're at home and you're living off tips, you do the math. Nothing but lies.
I did the math. We downloaded the bill, including the amendments, uploaded the chat, GBT,
to make it easy to search. Nowhere in there does it talk about cutting snap benefits. Nowhere in there
does it say your taxes if you make $50,000 or less are going to go up? And quite frankly,
it doesn't pass the smell tests. The whole purpose of the bill is to make the current Trump tax
cuts permanent, the ones from 2017. So how would somebody's taxes go up? I'm not getting that.
So again, this is what Democrats do, and it's just sad because it just is a display of stupidity
instead of at least arguing from a place of substance. They're not doing that right now.
Let me show you another example of that. This is Mr. McBride.
ride doing the same thing. Take a list.
Do they even care?
Every yes vote shows very clearly that they don't.
This bill is trickle down cruelty, and people will die because of it.
Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
Now, if you guys can recall, these are the same people that said that Elon Musk and Doge,
they were going to shut down all the Social Security offices.
So let me check in with you guys.
Did any of your Social Security offices shut down?
And has that prevented you from accessing your Social Security benefits?
I'm just curious.
Because that was one of the main talking points earlier this year.
Now their main talking point is people will die.
Simply put, they are desperate, okay?
They're contrarians.
They're not seeking for bipartisanship here.
This is all about undermining President Trump, as I continue to say.
Here's another example from Democrat Ro Khanna out of California.
Take a look.
A number from California is recognized for one.
minute. Thank you, Mr. Chair. Mr. Speaker, I never want to hear the Republicans lecture
about fiscal responsibility again. The last president to actually balance this budget was Bill
Clinton, and today Bob Rubin and Larry Summers wrote an op-ed in the New York Times that
every American should read. Their budget will take the deficit up to 8% of GDP. It is
historically unprecedented in the history of our country during peacetime. We've never had
a more reckless deficit exploding bill than what they're posing.
So I suppose Rokana has forgotten about the Inflation Reduction Act signed into law by President Biden
that contributed to the largest deficit increase under any president in history.
In fact, he is responsible for $12 trillion.
So I'm not too sure where he was going with that point.
But again, like I keep saying, they have to disagree.
And we're going to respond every time with the facts.
Now, that doesn't mean Republicans are.
are innocent here because they're part of the problem too. In fact, it's Congress that are the
problem. They're going to spend the money. The deficit is going to continue to go up. They're
not really keen on cutting wasteful spending because if they were, they would have done it already,
especially when you had a genius like Elon Musk willing to help you do it. We see how that
turned out so far. I just wish they'd just stop lying about it, especially when they continue
to use language like people are going to die as Hakeem Jeffers did this morning. Take a look.
All we need are four.
House Republicans to join us in defense of their constituents who will suffer mightily
from this bill. Children will be hurt. Families will be hurt. People with disabilities
will be hurt. Women will be hurt by what is an all-out assault on the health care of the American people.
An unprecedented assault, ripping health care away from more than 17 million Americans.
Premiums, co-pays, and deductibles for other people on private insurance will go up all across the country.
Hospitals will close.
Nursing homes will shut down.
Community-based clinics will don't have the ability to operate.
And as a result, people are going to go.
going to die. All right. So let's get to the bottom line of this particular story. Democrats
claim people are going to die because they disagree with Medicaid work requirements. They
disagree with the funding plan parenthood as pertains to Medicaid reimbursements. They claim that
rural hospitals will be defunded and won't be available for people. But news flash, ladies and
gentlemen, if you have a medical emergency and you take yourself down to the emergency room,
you will receive care. No one in this country is being denied of that. Even if you
you are an illegal alien, they don't deny you.
So what Democrats are doing, again, is the wrong strategy.
It's the same mistake as they always make.
And quite frankly, if nobody dies, what will they say then?
That's what I'm curious about.
And obviously, I don't wish for anybody to die.
But what I do wish for is to get your reaction in the comment section below in regards
to these stories today.
So two big wins for President Trump, the settlement with CBS.
Clearly, Trump is the winner.
and the corporate side of CBS, they are the winners as well, because, again, they're trying
to make more money and survive. But it's the people who hate Trump, the people who work in the
newsroom. Yeah, they're pretty upset about it. And then also University of Penn sending the
apology letter to athletes removing Leah Thomas's name from their record books and doing the right
thing finally. And hopefully other universities do the same. And then this reaction from Democrats,
let me know everything in the comment section below. Okay, so yesterday, President Trump
met with Governor DeSantis to announce a new detention facility in Florida. And of course,
Democrats can barely contain themselves, including the media where they're calling this
inhumane and unconstitutional. Well, of course, we're going to give you the facts in that
video. So if you're interested in it, all you have to do is click on it because it's coming up right
now.
