Starting point is 00:00:00 So the one big, beautiful bill did pass the Senate, and now it heads to the House. But there's a couple of problems. What's going on with no tax on tips? What's going on with Medicaid cuts? What is really in the bill? Well, in this video, I'm going to show you the actual bill and what it says, including what both sides are saying, and then give you the bottom line. On this vote, the yeas are 50, the nays are 50. The Senate being evenly divided, the Vice President votes in the affirmative.
Starting point is 00:00:32 The bill, as amended, is passed. Breaking news, the Senate has officially passed President Trump's one big, beautiful bill. Vice President fans breaking the tie after a split 50-50 vote on the bill, marking another hurdle for this legislation to make it to the president's desk by the deadline of this Friday. It now makes its way back to the House after the Senate's nearly 27 hours. voterama. Okay, so let's understand exactly what the next steps are for the one big, beautiful bill. It has passed the Senate. Thanks to the Vice President, J.D. Vance, for casting the tie-breaking vote. It goes back to the House of Representatives at this point. And here is where
Starting point is 00:01:12 the problem lies. The bill that the House originally sent to the Senate is not the same, because the Senate voted on the amendments to the bill. And that's exactly what the House is going to have to work through and ultimately get that bill to the president no later than July 4th because that's the deadline that the president has set. So that is really the big question that's going to be answered this week. Will they be able to do it? A lot of things happening now at once in Washington and in Florida where the president is. But back to Washington, look, it is now up to the House of Representatives to pass this piece of legislation before it goes to the president's desk on that July 4th deadline.
Starting point is 00:01:51 And there are questions as to, you know, how much support this will get from the Republican conference in the House. We have to remember there are a number of fiscal hawks in the House that feel that this bill is simply too big. It's too expensive. And we go back to Elon Musk's concerns
Starting point is 00:02:07 about how big the bill is, how much it adds to the deficit. We've seen him launch a bit of a pressure campaign, if you will, against some of these hard-line conservative fiscal hawks in the House. You're tweeting at some of them or posting at some of them on X, I should say. So it's going to be crunch time for Speaker Mike Johnson.
Starting point is 00:02:24 He's done this before, but they are working with a slightly different bill that has been tweaked since it last went from the House to the Senate late last month. Okay, so what I want to do here on the screen is show you in black and white about one of the issues that came up, and that is illegal aliens receiving Medicaid benefits at the state level. It's Section 7-1109, is titled Alien Medicaid. eligibility. And it says it here. Pay attention. And no event shall payment be made to a state under this section for medical assistance furnished to an individual unless such individual is a resident of one of the 50 states, either a citizen or national of the United States. An alien lawfully
Starting point is 00:03:10 admitted for permanent residence here under the temporary protective status program, an alien who's been granted the status of refugee or an individual who lawfully resides in the United States due to work permits. So it clearly states it right there in the bill. All right. So that's the first issue that came up. How about the second issue, which is about Medicaid and all the fear mongering that CNN is doing? First, I want you to hear what CNN has to say and how Scott Jennings had to set the record straight. And then we will go over some of the facts. Take a look. I have to say, Scott, him saying, I'm not going to vote for Medicaid cuts, and then he voted for this bill, which, like, very clearly does cut Medicaid? Yeah, but who does it cut Medicaid for?
Starting point is 00:03:51 Illegal aliens, people who won't get off Grandma's couch despite being able-bodied adults. But hang on. This, it is a protection of the social system. I actually know too much about this because I used to be a health care policy reporter on Capitol Hill. Okay, so putting that hat on for a second, the people that are really going to suffer, and the reason this is a problem for Lisa Murkowski and Josh Hawley are the rural hospitals with emergency rooms into which people like that may walk. And if they don't have Medicaid, they're not getting any, that hospital is not getting any money from that person or from the federal government. Well, the Senate included a massive fund for rural hospitals. I think it was a $50 billion or do they wind up, I forget where they wind up, but a massive fund to cover just what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:04:30 So some care was put into thinking about how do you protect rural hospitals from downside outcomes. So I think that's one of the reasons they're ultimately going to get it over the line is because they actually work to fix little individual pieces that had people upset about it. Okay, as promised, we looked up the bill ourselves. This is part of an amendment introduced by Congresswoman Collins, and it says it right here verbatim. Additional funding for rural health transformation program. This is a program that's specifically defund rural hospitals, and it says it right here in Clause 1 by striking 10 billion. We want to insert 22.5 billion. In Clause 2, strike 10 billion, and insert 22.5 billion for a total amount. amount of $45 billion worth of funding for rural hospitals.
Starting point is 00:05:18 So again, you get to see in real time how CNN likes to manipulate their narrative and mislead their audience. And it's all in an effort to undermine President Trump. They're going to get soaked. They're going to punish. Look, as a partisan, it'll be great for my party. As a citizen, I hate it. Because they're going to come at, they're going to hunt them down with dogs.
Starting point is 00:05:37 I'm not kidding. You heard it here first. Save this tape. It's going to be a wipeout for your party, Scott. if you guys cut Medicaid for the people who voted for you. We're not cutting Medicaid for the people who voted for us. We're cutting Medicaid for the people who vote for Democrats. That's who we're cutting Medicaid for.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Now, given everything that's happening with this country financially, including the one big, beautiful bill, I got to ask you a question. What if you could delay your next two mortgage payments? That's right. Imagine putting those two payments in your pocket and finally getting a little breathing room. It's possible when you call American financing today. If you're feeling stretched by everyday expenses, gross, gas bills are piling up you're not alone most americans are putting these expenses on their credit cards
Starting point is 00:06:17 and there doesn't seem to be a way out and we can thank jerome powell because he refuses to lower rates and that's why american financing can show you how to use your home equity to pay off that debt you need to call american financing today before you get to a point where you can't make those payments their salary-based mortgage consultants are helping homeowners just like you restructure their loans and consolidate debt all without upfront fees And by the way, they're saving customers an average of $800 a month. So all you have to do is call now 866-890-9392. That's 866-890-932, or hit the link in the description below. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:54 I think that was actually pretty funny, but let me just get to a couple of points. Number one, it's not truly a cut. It's a reform of the program, which should happen periodically, by the way, which brings me to point number two, when these programs were introduced in our country, they were great ideas. But as we're learning, as it pertains to financial literacy, they are becoming bad ideas because it's ultimately going to bankrupt our country unless, which brings me to point number three, and this is the main argument from the White House, is that we continue to outgrow our liabilities, all right? Now, let's get to something that does not make sense whatsoever,
Starting point is 00:07:28 and that is Congressman Jamie Raskin was unseen in earlier today. And now we're on to no tax on tips. This guy is so Trump deranged that he admits out loud that he's not for no tax on tips. it for yourself. You know, tips are income, and I would prefer just to have a much more progressive income tax, so people who are making a lot of money are paying more, much more like happened under very conservative presidents, like Nixon or Eisenhower, than to give people the kind of symbolic consolation prize of saying, we're not going to tax tips. I mean, tips are income. I suppose it's difficult to record them and to keep track of. of them. So I'm not necessarily opposed to it, but I think that it's a major distraction from
Starting point is 00:08:15 what's really gone on, which is that the GOP has destroyed the idea of progressive income taxation in America, which is the more money you make, the more you should pay, because you get to draw more resources from society. Okay, well, good news for everybody. Jamie Raskin is not going to get his way because there's an entire section dedicated to no tax on tips in the one big, beautiful bill. But there's a couple of things that need to bring to your attention, so you understand what's going on here. Number one is this, the amount allowed as a deduction, key word deduction. I'm going to circle back on that.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Under this section for any taxable year, shall not exceed $25,000. And also, there's a limitation based on adjusted gross income, which amounts to $150,000, for a single filer, that is, and $300,000 in the case of a joint return. Now, circling back on that word deduction, what does that mean? That means you are still going to get taxed up front, everyone. But when you go to file your taxes, you will be able to deduct that total amount of your tips. And if it happens to be 25,000, then that is what the deduction amount will be. All right, now let's move to some of the detractors as it pertains to this bill.
Starting point is 00:09:28 And people who believe that this bill is 100% a disaster. First, where I want to start, which brings a smile to my face, is the total meltdown that happened on CNN moments after the bill was passed. Take a look. Well, you know, the waste, fraud, and abuse line reminds me of, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, right? Like, if you like your, if you like it, you can keep it. Okay, well, when this, when the rubber meets the roads and people start losing their health care, are they all going to look like waste, fraud, and abuse? Like, that's what you, like, to me, I'm thinking famous last words. Are you making a promise that you can live up to?
Starting point is 00:10:05 And I think, I do think it'll get through the house because, as you said, I mean, the pressure is on. They have to deliver something. This is what they got. They're going to get something through. But the cost could be enormous. All right. Now, I don't know about you, but I clearly did not understand anything that she said. I don't understand the point that she was making. But if I was going to guess by using common sense, what Democrats and mainstream media continues to say about this bill is that it's going to increase our deficit. That's number one. Two, it's going to create more outrageous spending for the federal government. And three, which is the biggest item of them all, according to them, is that it's going to kick millions of people off of
Starting point is 00:10:49 health care and people will die. I mean, these are the talking points. The problem is when I researched the bill, I even used chatGBT, uploaded the PDF copy of it, and asked them the same questions that have come up so many times. Will millions of people lose health care? Ultimately, the answer was no. It's not explicitly saying, that people are going to lose health care. What they're saying is, if you don't have any kids and you're young of age and you try to use Medicaid, yeah, you're going to have to prove to us that you really need Medicaid. I mean, that seems to make sense to me.
Starting point is 00:11:23 It sounds like common sense. But for Democrats, they don't have any of that. Now, let's move to the other detract. This is not ready for prime time. We support the president's agenda. The president's agenda is not to raise the deficit by three quarters of a trillion dollars over the next 10 years. The bottom line is now the House is going to have its say. This is not going to sail through the House.
Starting point is 00:11:44 We're going to have to negotiate with the Senate one more time. And that's just appropriate. That's the way the legislative process works and the way it should work on a bill of this size. Now, the only point that I do agree with, when you wrap everything up under one bill, you're definitely likely to face high resistance because there's just too much in it. So I do agree with that. But we're talking about the House Freedom Caucus. I mean, when's the last time that they really got their way?
Starting point is 00:12:06 They're going to put up a fight, no question. And as you heard, this might go back to the Senate for another vote or approval because they may make changes. And that's just the way the process works. Now, obviously, one of the biggest detractors so far is Elon Musk. So the president, which is Elon Musk. And yes, the president had some words for Elon, and here's what he said today. Nothing, you know, he's upset. He's that he's losing his EV mandate.
Starting point is 00:12:36 And except, you know, he's very upset about things, but, you know, he could lose a lot more than that. I can tell you right now, hey, Elon can lose a lot more than that. I don't know. I don't have to take a lot. We might have to put Doge on Elon, you know. You know, Doge is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn't that be terrible? He gets a lot of subsidies, Peter. But Elon's very upset that the EV mandate is going to be terminated. And you know what? When you look at it, who wants? Not everybody wants an electric car.
Starting point is 00:13:17 And I believe the way that President Trump is continuing to handle Elon Musk is definitely smart. And it shows you that in some way or shape or form, some of this is just political theater. I mean, is he really going to order Doge to inspect Elon Musk? Is he really going to go after Elon Musk's subsidies? Absolutely not. But he has to say something, okay? He cannot not respond, if that's the proper way to say it. And I think there's a way to disagree with Elon Musk without flying off the handle and getting too emotional.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I think that's the way that President Trump is going about it, quite frankly. Look, in politics, sometimes it requires sharp elbows, requires the capacity to throw a couple jabs. it is not unheard of for President Trump to get a little bit upset. There was at times where he was insulting Steve Bannon eight years ago, and all that kind of got remedied. It's all part of the Trump story. Sometimes things get very heated, and then there's a reconciliation. There's a re-approachment. And we all agree that we want Elon Musk and we want Don.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Trump to work collaboratively. I've been waiting for this piece of tape, but I'll try to find another one here. Which is the best example in front of us is as we're doing this program, President Trump is hanging out with Ron DeSantis. Ron DeSantis, who they were the worst of enemies imaginable, where they were as bitter enemies. I mean, they were just attacking each other relentlessly. They were in the midst of a primary. Donald Trump did not have very good things to say about Ron DeSantis at all.
Starting point is 00:15:16 And now they're taking questions on the tarmac. And in his own words, he says that his relationship with Ron DeSantis, DeSantis is a 10. Yeah, so what Charlie Kirk is pointing out, I think, has a lot of credibility to it because it represents who President Trump really is as a human being. He's a guy who's going to sit down with his enemies and have a conversation, even if it's over lunch, dinner, or a nice drink, right? I mean, let's just get real. That's who he is. I mean, he's set down with Morning Joe. He sat down with Bill Maher. I mean, he could sit down with more people. They just don't want to sit down with him, right? So I think that's a good point from Charlie.
Starting point is 00:15:56 And quite frankly, again, I'm more convinced that some of this is manufactured, some of this is political theater to try to own the narrative in regards to the media. But ultimately, even if I'm wrong, and it's just coming down to pure ego, pride, and disagreement, President Trump has no choice but to side with his administration over Elon Musk, and that is the bottom line. Now, here's what Scott Besson had to say about Elon this morning. Take a look. Elon Musk says this, it's obvious with this insane spending bill, increases the debt.
Starting point is 00:16:26 ceiling by $5 trillion. We live in a one-party country, the Porky Pig Party, time for a new political party that actually cares about the people. And he's probably going to start one if this passes, which is your reaction? You guys famously tangled in the White House. I admire Elon's leadership on rockets. I will take care of the finances. So do you feel as though he says the $5 trillion added into the deficit? You don't agree? I don't agree at all. Let me tell you why. Because This bill will set off growth like we've never seen before. The CBO projections only project 1.8% per year growth,
Starting point is 00:17:06 which is substantially below what we saw in President Trump's first term. And I think we are going to see big acceleration here. And once you see the growth trajectory change to an upward bias, the bill more than pays for itself. We could be in surplus. Yeah, so anybody who understands financial literacy, chances are you agree with Elon Musk, because his argument is based on principles.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Our liabilities have exceeded our assets. And if we continue to allow that to take place, we're going to go bankrupt sooner or later. It's just only a matter of time. Not tomorrow night, probably not in the next five years, but definitely in the future. And so I respect his relentless pursuit of arguing the point. The problem is he doesn't have the influence.
Starting point is 00:17:50 And quite frankly, most people would rather him focus on his businesses than what the federal government is doing. because currently today, the federal government is designed to do exactly what we complain about. It's designed to spend more money. It's designed to be filled with fraud, waste, and abuse. And unfortunately, for someone like Elon Musk, it just is not going to happen in the way that he wants it. They're not going to cut it out. They're going to keep doing what they've been doing because they can't help themselves.
Starting point is 00:18:17 And combine that with the fact that President Trump is the one who has the most support out of any other political leader, including Elon Musk. Take a look. It's history making. What are we talking about here? So why don't we look back? We have all the presidents, Republican presidents going back over the last 35, 36, 37 years. What are we talking about? GOP who strongly approved five months and look at this. George H.W. Bush,
Starting point is 00:18:41 Bush 41, 46%. Bush 43, 59. You see Trump the first term, 53. But look at this. 63%. He beats all the other Republicans on the board here. And I was looking even back since Reagan. And get get this, Donald Trump beats Ronald Reagan when it comes to the strongly approved five months.
Starting point is 00:19:00 And of course, Reagan was coming off that high after that assassination attempt. So the bottom line is Donald Trump is making history with the Republican base. He is more beloved by this Republican base than any Republican base loved any GOP president five months. And it is history making. Okay, so this takes this to another update. Elon Musk has confirmed that he will be supporting Thomas Massey in his reelection campaign. We already know Elon Musk is willing to fund primaries against Republicans who vote for this bill. So it brings us to the question here, who's going to have more political influence and more support in regards to their endorsement of a candidate, Elon Musk or President Trump?
Starting point is 00:19:41 Everybody knows the answer to that. It's President Trump. The question is how effective is Trump's endorsement? We know it can hurt, but how effective is it? Yeah, okay. So, you know, the bottom line is, if you're a Republican lawmaker, you see this 63%, you say, My goodness gracious, you do not want to go against Donald Trump because the Republican base is with Donald Trump. And it's not just the polling. We actually have the data to show that the Republican base is with Donald Trump. The Times Trump endorses won the GOP primary for governor and congressional races.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Look at this. 2024, 96%, 2022, 95%. 2020, 98%. The bottom line is this. 95% plus of the time the Trump endorsed candidate wins in GOP primaries. And even in the cases where Donald Trump endorses a challenger to an incumbent, the majority of time, that challenger wins. So Donald Trump is a winner in Republican primaries. You go against Donald Trump to quote the movie Goodberger.
Starting point is 00:20:34 You go in the grinder. Donald Trump is the key nugget. His endorsement is the key nugget in a GOP primary because he's historically, strongly popular with the GOP. That brings this to the bottom line. The one big, beautiful bill is not a perfect bill. There's no question that flaws exist in that bill. There's no question. There's probably contradictions in that bill.
Starting point is 00:20:55 I honestly believe there's probably parts of the bill that definitely is not going to help President Trump meet some of the campaign promises that he made. But it's a bill in regards to the taxes that needs to be passed. I mean, if he doesn't get anything done, he's got to get done the taxes. No question. And for Democrats who are fighting against this bill, they offer no alternative solutions. So anything they say has zero credibility. Show me what you would do differently.
Starting point is 00:21:21 They can't. And in regards to the detractors who are particularly Republicans, well, they're basing their stuff on principles. However, we are at a time where, yes, principles should be respected, but we're talking about a federal government, and we need someone who's going to be pragmatic. And that's without compromising significantly. And the good news here is when it comes to Republicans, we disagree. But I'd rather disagree with Republicans and make a compromise than disagree with Democrats and make the compromise they are. seek. So that's how I see all of this. Let me know what you guys think about this update with the one big, beautiful bill. We'll see if the House can get it done over the course of this week before July 4th. What do you think about what Elon Musk had to say? What do you think about what the president
Starting point is 00:22:05 had to say? And did you enjoy us showing you the actual text verbatim of the bill on some of these policy positions? Let me know what you guys think about all that in the comment section below. Now, some of the fallout that's been happening because of the one big beautiful bill are Republicans who have announced that they are no longer seeking re-election in the 26 midterms. One of those individuals happens to be Tom Tillis, and rumors are swirling that the person who could potentially replace him is Laura Trump. So if you miss out on that video, more updates from yesterday. All you have to do is click on that video because it's coming up right now.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Thank you.
