So the Republican Party and the president has been handed another major win by the Supreme Court this time.
They've ruled in favor of Alabama redrawing their congressional maps.
And you already know the reaction.
In fact, Democrats are trying to go back to the Supreme Court to get the state of Virginia's ruling and their Supreme Court overturned.
Also, Katie Porter did an interview with CNN and it was a total disaster.
Let's hear what's happening with Alabama.
Take a look.
Virginia Democratic leaders are going to the U.S. Supreme Court to try to overturn a state ruling.
striking down their new gerrymandered congressional map.
The 4-3 decision at the Virginia State Court, Supreme Court, rather,
found that the Democratic-controlled legislature violated the Commonwealth's Constitution
by not following clear and simple rules for a public vote on a constitutional amendment.
It's unclear tonight whether the Supreme Court will even take up the case.
The Supreme Court has vacated a lower court order blocking Alabama from pursuing new congressional maps.
The practical impact of that decision is that Alabama can move forward with redistricting efforts, having passed new maps on Friday.
That sets the stage for Alabama to get rid of one of two largely black congressional districts before this year's midterm elections.
The decision follows a Supreme Court ruling in April that struck down a majority of black U.S. House District in Louisiana as unconstitutional as racial gerrymandering.
You see, all of this has taken place in our country regarding gerrymandering because the president of the United States,
is a politician we haven't seen in probably a generation.
I mean, let's just call it what it is.
Republicans would have never gone down this road if it wasn't for the president.
Now, Democrats, they've been down this road around the blocks, old t-shirts about it.
They've been doing this for decades on end.
It's just now Republicans are catching up.
And so does this affect the midterms, which I think is probably the most important question?
Yes, but does it affect it in a way where Republicans will automatically win?
No.
Democrats are still ahead according to the history and we'll see, but this definitely continues to make a big difference.
Here's an explanation from CNN. Take a look.
Yeah, it's been a busy day for the Supreme Court and for us reporting on it.
Here, this is one of the consequences that we're seeing after last month's blockbuster Supreme Court decision, limiting the extent to which race can be used to determine voting districts.
Now, here, the state of Alabama went back to the Supreme Court and said, hey, based on that ruling, we want to go back to our.
for 2020 map, which has only one majority black district.
And here, there's no explanation, right?
This isn't a major opinion where they have to opine and lay out their arguments.
So there's no explanation, but they have tossed out a lower court order that blocked that
map.
So it appears that the state of Alabama, they're clearing the way for that state to use that
2023 map.
There is sort of a narrow opportunity for the ESLU or the NAACP to try to challenge this
and argue that even under last month.
decision, this map is still okay, but it's highly unlikely they're going to be able to do that in time.
And then let's just be honest about something. Even if they had the time, what is their argument going to be?
Hey, Supreme Court, you need to give us the ability to go back to draw these congressional maps based on race.
Yeah, that doesn't fly. That's a contradiction of the U.S. Constitution, as you guys know,
anybody with a brain knows that. But see, Democrats, they want it both ways. They want district maps
that are drawn because they want to be racially conscious.
I think that's the political correct term to say.
But at the same time, they want equal representation.
So why don't we play a game?
Can we get some maps based on people who are Asian,
based on people who are Jewish,
based on people who are Hispanic or Mexican or people from India?
Can we do that as well since we're playing this game?
Okay.
Let's go to Cory Booker because, you know, he's been on the attack
in regards to the Supreme Court.
Here's what he had to say. Take a listen.
Well, the Supreme Court has gotten it wrong generation after generation.
The rights we enjoy right now are not because of nine people on the Supreme Court
is because people fought for them.
And where the Supreme Court usually gets it wrong is when they're taking away rights,
whether it's Korematsu with the internment of Japanese,
whether it's Plessy versus Ferguson, denying rights to African Americans,
whether it's Dobbs.
They got it wrong, taking away rights for women to control what happens to their body.
And here we have again, the Supreme Court, taking away rights, equality, fair representation, and fair voting, doing in result the exact same thing happened when Reconstruction fell in the 1870s.
And exactly what happened then is state legislators move to take away rights and access and fairness and representation from black people.
Okay, so there's two things that Cory Booker needs to accept. Number one, the Supreme Court is not taking anyone's rights away. It's taken away their shortcuts. That's exactly what's happening here. For 50 years, Democrats have used the bench to win fights just like this because they probably couldn't win in the ballot box. That's why they're fighting for this. Is it really about race in the way that they say it is? Of course not. A black person in America can vote for whoever they want. That's the interesting part. Now,
Here's the second thing that we should also be aware of, and that's this.
Race-based redistricting is not a right.
It's a contradiction to the U.S. Constitution.
So Democrats, make up your mind.
Which one is it exactly?
You want race-based gerrymandering, or do you want the U.S. Constitution in a color-blind fashion?
Here's more of what Cory Booker had to say.
Take a look.
Race now we're having with all of these maps since the Rucho versus common cause decision,
where the Supreme Court says, hey, yeah,
partisan gerrymanning is anti-democratic but we're not going to do anything about it and now they're
allowing this race well this election has to be about those fundamental rights not right or wrong but
will americans have basic fundamental rights like the right to vote and the right to fair
representation here's what your financial advisor won't tell you by the time the news tells you to buy
gold it's too late you're waiting i get it everybody's waiting waiting to see if the ceasefire
holds, waiting to see if the traitor who moves opens up, which I mean, one day it says it's open,
one day it says it's closed, one day we got a ceasefire, that the war is ending one day, no,
it's not. But gold isn't waiting for you. It moves on fear, on instability, and the unknown,
especially the devaluing on the dollar. And think about this for a second. I was just saying
how these politicians could care less about you. What do you think they're doing with the dollar?
That's why it is time to act.

So all we have to do is notice the behavioral pattern here in the way that they're communicating.
Every ruling that returns the power back to the voters or restricts Democrats federal overreach,
especially when it's based on race.
You know what they call that?
Taking your rights away.
That's exactly the way they frame Dobbs.
And that's the way that they're framing this particular ruling from the Supreme Court.
Now, they're so upset and panicking over what's been happening recently, especially in
state of Virginia where they are now going to the Supreme Court to try to get them to overturn
the ruling from the state of Virginia's Supreme Court. Take a look.
We've got some breaking news. At the Supreme Court, it's related to the midterms, the future of
the congressional map in Virginia. CNN Chief Legal Affairs correspondent Paula Reid joins us now.
Paula, what's the latest?
Casey, this is really interesting. This is just the latest in a series of redistricting controversies
to reach the Supreme Court. Here, Democratic officials in Virginia are asking the Supreme
Court to reinstate a congressional map that would benefit Democrats ahead of this year's
midterm elections.
Now, this emergency appeal, it follows a decision from the Virginia Supreme Court last week
that voided Democrats attempt to redraw the state's U.S. House map during an April referendum.
The Democrats are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to effectively put that order on hold ahead
of the midterms.
They write, quote, that that decision was deeply mistaken on two critical.
critical issues of federal law with profound practical importance to this nation.
Now, as I noted, the U.S. Supreme Court is amassed in a series of redistricting cases and
controversies, many of which could have implications for the midterm elections.
So right now, we are just waiting to see if the Supreme Court wades in on this question.
Bottom line, Democrats are desperate.
They're scrambling, and they're going to the highest court in the land that try to get their way.
Now, remember, if the Supreme Court rules in their face,
now they love the Supreme Court.
When the Supreme Court doesn't ruin their favor, they call for reforms, right?
And ethics laws that need to be changed in term limits.
Remember, that was Cory Booker yesterday crying about the Supreme Court because Democrats
have not been able to get their way with that court.
And they really shouldn't because they're a radical bunch of group at this point.
I mean, let's just be honest.
The policies that they support has made them a radical party.
But it's not who they should be.
Okay, let's go to Fox News.
their legal analysts, and what he had to make of the merits of this request from the state of Virginia to the Supreme Court.
Take a list.
Jonathan, will the U.S. Supreme Court take this up? And if it does, is it going to work?
No, I don't think they will take it up. But if they do, I can't see the grounds for them giving the Democrats what they're asking for.
The Supreme Courts of the various states are given great deference in how they interpret their own laws and constitution.
I can't imagine that the court's going to come out any more differently here.
Now, we just had a very significant decision by the Supreme Court to allow a state to redesign its districts in light of its recent ruling that you cannot racially gerrymander.
So we did see the court intervene in a major way today.
But that was a rather obvious decision.
I was surprised even today that you had three of the liberal dissenters saying, no, we don't want to.
that. I mean, the court just said that these districts are forms of racial discrimination. And these
liberal just said, no, we should just stick with those districts because it'll be too confusing.
Would that be the position if those districts were racially discriminating against African Americans?
Would you just say, well, come on, let's just give a shrug and you should just go ahead and vote in those
unconstitutional districts? So these states are moving to put into effect,
non-racially discriminatory districts.
You know, it'll take you less than five minutes to figure out that Democrats are blatantly
lying to the American people on mainstream media.
It doesn't take you that long.
Black voter registration has outpaced white voter registration in states like Georgia, Alabama,
Mississippi.
These black voters, they speak of, have no problem registering, have no problem voting,
and definitely don't have a problem getting an ID.
But that's what they want us to believe.
And the way that they frame everything is your rights are being taken away.
What rights exactly?
They frame it that way because they are the party who's all about tyranny.
We saw that during COVID, by the way.
Let's go to Dr. Carol Swain on Newsmax.
Here's what she had to say.
It's Jim Crow to end the gerrymandering of congressional districts based on race.
Dr. Swain, your answer to that.
Well, what troubles me the most is the level of ignorance among the people speaking.
I know of Carville, he's deliberately.
misleading people. But when you play the clips of the black voters who believe that the Republicans
are out to get them, it's Jim Crow all over again, it's just pure manipulation and deception
because what the court has done is actually stand up for the Equal Protection Clause of the
Constitution. The Voting Rights Act was passed to ensure that black people had the right to vote
it was there to end discrimination, not to guarantee the election of a particular race of candidate.
She absolutely nails it. And here's another key piece of information you should know about Louisiana in particular.
One third of Louisiana's population is black and the state had already drawn one majority of black district out of six.
Democrats demanded a second district not because of black voters were being denied that ballot, as you heard her say.
That's not an issue today.
but because they want it to guarantee a second Democratic seat.
See, they want it both ways.
They want maps that are drawn into their favor as a political party,
and they want those maps being drawn based on race.
That's not going to fly.
All right, let's go to our next update.
This is more of the insanity coming out of the governor's race out of California.
Katie Porter did an interview with Dana Bash,
and you could just see how crazy she really is.
Take a look at this.
Voting is already underway.
and polls still have you hovering around 9 or 10% behind about three or four other candidates,
including two of your fellow Democrats.
What's your message to voters who are still undecided about you?
There's three weeks of voting left.
A lot of people haven't even gotten their ballots yet or they're just arriving here this week.
And look, this question for California is, do we want somebody who spent their career
working on making life more affordable for families?
That was my background long before I got into politics, working on credit card debt, families in bankruptcy, helping people who are facing foreclosure or eviction.
And when I went to Congress, I stood up to special interests, took pharmaceutical executives to task, for example, for price gouging.
The other candidates in this race are a billionaire and a 35-year, 37-year career politician who's funded by corporations.
I'm the candidate here who knows what it's like to drive a minivan to push a shopping cart, to work.
worry that your kids are not going to be able to afford to move out and will wind up living on
your couch. And that's a perspective that's going to drive my laser focus on affordability in a way
that I just don't think a billionaire can. So there's a few things. One, you could just hear the
anger in her words. Two, she's trying to make people feel as if she can relate to working class
Americans, but she's a millionaire. And the problem here is she shouldn't be punished for that.
The problem is the way she comes off is inauthentic.
She's not an authentic candidate in that regard.
And we already know her problems with her staffers, of course,
which she has something to say about that.
But here's the other problem.
She's a person who comes from the Kamala Harris lineage.
Okay?
She basically was hired by Kamala Harris at one point when Harris was the AG of California.
This is the wrong person to put it in charge of California.
There's no question about it.
She's hostile to special interest, but she doesn't have your money to get ads up, right?
That's a real thing.
So the question is, can someone win and do this?
That is the actual question, John, not can someone be good-hearted?
There are lots of good-hearted people who I would be happy if they won.
The question is, can someone actually do this?
What's your response to him?
Well, given that Tom Steyer is the person who leaked the video with me and the staffer from five years ago,
he pretty clearly didn't think that I, he pretty clearly wanted to be governor bad enough to knock me down to do it.
And I apologize for that video many times because I am confident that is the case.
I've been told by many people. It's a Department of Energy video. It was only held by the Department of Energy and people can follow the trail to who his campaign staffers are and understand what happened there.
And the truth is, look, Tom Steyer is a corporate special interest. He's made his billions off being.
behoove into corporations, making money off fossil fuel, oil, coal. He is even in this race,
taking corporate contributions, even in this race. I am the only candidate who is not.
Okay, so let's pause because right there to there, she accused Tom Steyer of being the reason why
we all seen that viral video of her screaming at her staffer. Now, I can't wait to show you what
Dana Bash had to say in response to that, by the way, but this is the latest article surrounding
Katie Porter. And it says it very clearly for the lone woman left in the California's
governor's race. It's all about temperament. You see, the issue with Katie Porter is she does
have anger issues and everybody knows it. And, you know, in some respects, it may make her a firm
leader, someone who can get things done. But on the other hand, when you're running as California
governor, it actually works against you. No one needs an unhinged leftist running that state. Now,
I would imagine, you know, who could do worse than Gavin Newsom.
I mean, you'd be surprised.
I mean, Gavin Newsom is just the beginning here, folks.
Don't get it twisted.
There are people who really do believe in these radical policies, and she's one of them.
Okay, here's what Dana Bash had to say in response to her accusation against Tom Steyer regarding
that video.
Take a look.
So Tom Steyer is in this race for the same reason he was in the presidential.
He's now spent half a billion dollars trying to get elected.
I have no problem with competition.
If Tom Steier wants to run, he should run.
But to suggest that somehow he's in this because there's nobody else who will stand up to corporate special interests or that he's not in this for his own ego, I think everybody who's seen his face plastered over TV for six months knows that's probably not the case.
Congresswoman, thank you for coming on.
I should note that we don't have evidence that Steyer leaked that video of you.
If you have it, please bring it.
See, there's a reason why Katie Porter has gone viral.
She has not gone viral for the right reasons.
She's gone viral for the wrong reasons.
And that's not good as a potential candidate to be the next governor of a state.
And those are my thoughts.
Why don't you give me yours in the comments section below,
starting with the Supreme Court ruling regarding Alabama.
And now you have Democrats trying to get the state of Virginia Supreme Court,
