Senator John Federman just stunned his own party after he had this to say at last night's R&C convention. Take a look. I bet this wasn't on your bingo card. A big room of Republicans in Dallas. Yes, I'm Senator John Federman, Pennsylvania. Yes, I'm a Democrat. Pennsylvania's Democratic Senator John Federman popping up on the big screen at the first ever GOP midterm convention in Dallas, introducing the Keystone State's Republican Senator Dave McCormick on video.

Dave McCormick is the kind of senator that gets the job done. And promised to partner with President Trump. And we'll work with President Trump to fight and defend the steel way of life right here in the Steel Valley. So that video from Senator John Federman is touching on something that most people are not even talking about, which we're going to get to in this video. But obviously, this video is being met with a lot of backlash, a lot of panicking, and really a double standard from Democrats. Let me show you an example. The stunning video, intensifying Federman's fray with his own party. Democrats disappointed.

John Federman is a non-factor in the midterms this fall. While other lawmakers unleashed their opinions on social media, calling him lazy and Trump's favorite Democrat. Many people think that a senator who was persuaded to make this very political video could potentially be persuaded to change his mind in the future. The surprise appearance, renewing questions about whether he'll switch parties. Federman reiterating he's not going anywhere, releasing a new statement saying, quote,

I'm a lifelong Democrat who votes overwhelmingly with my party. And should the Senate flip in November, I will still be the 51st vote. Yeah, but I would imagine every person has their breaking point. And for Federman, his breaking point has always been centered around Israel, meaning that if the Democratic Party becomes anti-Israel, which they already are, You can look at the polling. You can look at election outcomes at this point. If you're an establishment Democrat and you're pro-Israel, more than likely, you're operating on borrowed time.

I mean, it's your reign in Congress is going to come to an end. And so that, according to Federman, is the only circumstance where he could switch parties. Not my words, by the way. That's what he said. Take a listen. But in the past, Federman has said he would leave under one condition. If Democratic Party becomes official anti-Israel, then that's when I would force me out. Now, you would think that the $5,000 Trump checks, which is what the president is calling in, or Trump dividend check, you would think that's actually the story that is dominating the headlines.

Actually, it's peoples discussed at Federman for introducing Senator McCormick. We have to understand both of these senators have been working in a bipartisan fashion in regards to the steel industry in Pennsylvania. So there's a lot of local context there that I don't think people outside of Pennsylvania will probably appreciate or understand. Even I don't really, I'm not really familiar with the culture over there. But I do recognize what's been reported. And so the media is not giving Federman any inch. But what about the media that was in the room when this took place? Well, here's what they had to say.

In the room, it got a tremendous applause. And in fact, it probably received a bigger ovation than Senator Dave McCormick received Federman's Republican counterpart. And that is who Federman was introducing with that video. The reaction, though, from Democrats back in Washington has been met with eye rolls and more frustrations for Federman, who, you know, has been very much trying to make himself into this. bipartisan maverick, who has been willing to cross the aisle and say nice things about Trump and criticize his own party for his own personal political benefit, perhaps, but to the frustration

of many Democrats who are increasingly wondering if he will be a Democratic senator or Republican senator as we get deeper in the coming years. Now, he has said he will remain a Democrat, but he continues to vex his own party. And so now we get to what most people are not even talking about. And it's the idea of bipartisanship. So wait a minute, you're criticizing Fetterman, that is the Democrat Party, because he is doing exactly what voters would want him to do. Americans would want our politicians to do, to work together, to get things done. That's the problem with politics today. Both sides do not want to work with each other whatsoever. So who ends up dealing with the consequences of that? The American people. I just find it fascinating. The double

standard. They want to go after him for working with McCormick when they really should be focusing on the results that is being delivered to the people in Pennsylvania. Now, I guess the real story is going to come in this midterm election and whether or not he's going to continue to be a senator on the Democrat side. Will he win his primary or will he switch parties? There's so much obviously to unfold until that takes place. And I think that would be the ultimate judgment because that's going to be the response from the voters. Now it seems Federman's popularity on the left is taking a hit. According to a new poll, his favorability among Democratic constituents plunged from 74% in 22% to 22% this August. It's the opposite among Republicans, with his favorability

jumping from 25% to 73%. Well, according to the numbers, I mean, he should either be an independent, okay, at a minimum or best case scenario, he becomes a Republican. And by the way, even though someone like Congressman Garcia out of California called Federman. He's irrelevant. He's a non-factor in the upcoming election. No, he's a factor absolutely in the Senate. If Democrats plan on at least tying or trying to overtake the Senate by one senator, his whatever is going to happen in his election matters. And if he switches to the Republican Party, they're definitely going to be able to maintain control in the Senate. But that's just me. All right. So now that's that we have that story out of the way, let's go to what President Trump announced last night. I

assume you've heard it by now, and that it's if Republicans win the midterms in both chambers, he plans on issuing a dividend check to the American people in the amount of $5,000. Take a look. Here is my promise. If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic... tremendous economic success. Like in history, we've never had anything like what's happening. So there's just a few things we have to consider with this announcement from the president.

Number one, if you're populist driven, this makes total sense. Give relief to the American people in so many ways that you can, regardless if it's practical in regards to our deficit and spending and long-term consequences of said move. Number two, will Congress actually go along with this? I highly doubt it. I mean, he wasn't able to even roll out those tariff dividend checks, by the way. That didn't happen, but he promised those. But number three, it's not going to stop the president from continuing to find other ways

to bring relief. Now, whether you disagree with the mechanism, which I technically do, I don't want to keep seeing more government spending, by the way. I'd rather the government stopped taxing people. So in the upcoming tax season, just give us a $5,000 tax credit. And at any rate, here's the president announcing another thing just hours ago, $500 rebate on checks to nearly one million Americans who were wrongly overcharged through Obamacare. Take a look.

So let's get into the main point that I've repeated quite often on the show that I've actually gotten criticism for some of the people who actually watch the show. I have said often that the president is literally implementing democratic policies.

Now, some people raise their eyebrows and they say, what are you talking about? Well, the Democrat Party, historically, is a party who would implement policies like this. They would do things that would raise government spending. They would issue checks. Why is the president of the United States who's on the Republican side getting ahead of this? Why is he the one introducing ideas like this? Where is the Democrat Party in all of this? This is why they have no business run in our country as the point that I'm making.

He's the one that's actually introducing ideas that could help the working class. I mean, isn't it fascinating how people have already essentially overlooked no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security or overtime? And they always chalk it up to, well, you know, there's a cap. Okay, even if there's a cap, doesn't that still matter? Doesn't an extra thousand dollars matter to someone who's barely making it buy? Isn't it fascinating how they just minimize that impact for everyday Americans? So again, this is another great idea.

We'll see about the mechanism behind it. But if we want to hear another perspective on the $5,000 checks, let's go to Fox News. Here's what they said. Last night he surprised people. He said that if Republicans win the midterms, that every American will get $5,000 dividend. What did you think of that proposal? Well, look, he's talked about this kind of. a stimulus check before. And obviously, they're going to have to make sure they've got congressional

support. But I think what it is is a bet on the future. I mean, if you do have a Republican House, a Republican Senate, two more years of a Republican White House, you're going to have opportunities to boost the economy even further. Obviously, and I think everyone's hoping that the issues in Iran come to an end, and oil goes down, and the economy will take off like a rocket ship. But in the meantime, you know, that's the one thing that's slowing down the economy. I think the president's going to take care of that. I think he gets it completely.

And he's just making a bet on the future. So I totally understand where he's coming from. Yeah. I appreciate that perspective. I think he's spot on about it. I guess we're just going to have to find out, is that enough? to not only get MAGA out there to vote, but independence. Now, I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

I mean, the polling with independence in regards to the president is not good. I often say that a lot of elections are essentially impacted by whether or not independent voters' turnout. But it's also impacted, particularly this midterm election, by overall voter turnout. So which party is going to be able to motivate their base enough to come out and vote? I mean, that really is the name in the game. And so will these promises from the president, now he made it sound like the $500 rebate is going to happen like immediately. So we'll see. I think that's a huge thing.

And it's another confirmation Democrats are the ones who truly broke health care, just so we're clear. But anyways, let's go to Robert Garcia. Here's his delusional reaction to this. I'm not sure what the political message is, considering that he's, made promises like this before and not kept them. I mean, he has always talked about giving checks. He just recently talked about there's going to be a doge refund check. There was going to be another $1,000 Trump dividend check. I mean, none of that actually happened. I think what the American public want is for the president to focus on what he campaigned on, which was actually

lowering the costs of living. Why we're having a two-day Donald Trump party where they're celebrating themselves while people can't pay the gas, the groceries, the rent, their mortgage, that's the real issue. Gas prices in my home state of California are through the roof. Here in Texas and other places across the country, people are struggling. There is no need for this two-day party that Republicans are throwing for themselves. Well, I think me and you would agree that Robert Garcia here, the congressman, is the last person to talk about gas prices since he represents California.

Even if gas prices were at a record low, California gas prices would still be high. And those are reasons that fall at the feet of Gavin Newsom. And secondly, what is the alternative, Garcia? What are Democrats offering? That's a phenomenal question. What are you offering that's actually going to bring relief to working class families? Because I haven't heard it. What I have heard is this Civil War that you guys are involved with in regards to the DSA

and what they're offering is to blow it up. So, you know, that continues to be the mistake, I would argue, both sides are making, but more on the left, that, you know, the other side is worse. the other side is crazy. The other side is the devil. So vote for us. I mean, I think you're going to need to do a little bit more than that by speaking on true issues that people are facing at the kitchen table. One more reaction for you. I don't know how any president of United States would be able to issue $1.3 trillion of expenditures without getting approval from Congress. The Constitution requires that money flowing out of the Treasury has to be by congressional approval. Even if they find

away, I guess, to maybe use tariff revenues to do that. There's not $1.3 trillion for the tariff revenues. That's why I told you guys earlier if they valued my opinion or cared what I thought, which I think this would be more Scott Besson's willhouse for the record. We don't need to issue checks. We should just stop taxing people, okay? I mean, give people a break for like one year. I mean, I would think most people could accept that. Now, you can make an argument even in that scenario, it would still be damaging to our deficit because the revenue wouldn't be there. And so, you know, the debt would go up higher. And, you know, so our country is facing a lot of financial issues, I think it's fair to say as far as the deficit is concerned.

But I don't think that's the number one issue. I think the number one issue right now for people is the wages for them has not truly superseded the costs. and it's always based on your local region. I tell people often that the Austin housing market, the rental rates are below the national average. So Austin doesn't have an affordability crisis. But if you're in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, places like that, absolutely there's an affordability crisis.

So, you know, I say all this to say, as we wrap up the video, that, number one, do not take your eye off the ball on what's happening locally because that's going to impact you way more than what the president or Congress is doing or what they failed to do. A lot of people tend to forget that. If you're having a housing problem, as an example, in your local area, that's not because of President Trump or the Iran war. That's because local policies has prevented real estate developers from increasing the supply. It's really that simple. And so that's one point.

And then if we go back to Senator John Federman, you know, it's just a shame that in today's role that a Democrat who agrees with a Republican is a crisis, right? It's kissing up to President Trump. It's, you know, it's doing whatever is in their own self-interest. I think there's plenty to disagree with Senator John Federman on. I know I do. But doesn't he deserve just a little bit of credit for working with McCormick as far as the local issues are concerned in Pennsylvania?

Isn't that what we would want to see in states where there are opposing senators from both sides of the political aisle working together? I don't know.
