Starting point is 00:00:00 In today's video, we have breaking news. Governor Ron DeSantis has confirmed that he will be redrawing the congressional maps in the state. Hakeem Jeffries gets into a public spat with Caroline Leavitt, and the Supreme Court is now hearing a case regarding Monsanto that would directly impact our health as Americans. Let's start with gerrymandering coming out of Florida. Take a look. We've got breaking news in the fight over gerrymandering. Florida's Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, unveiled a proposed new map that aims to add four red seats in the midterms. Currently, Florida has eight House Democrats and 20 Republicans. The governor's proposal comes after Virginia voters approved a map that could flip four seats from red to blue.
Starting point is 00:00:40 And here's another look at what that potential map would be. And I think one thing that stands out to me would be that Tampa Bay would no longer, if you're a Democrat out there, you'd no longer be represented by a Democrat-leaning district. So that would go bye-bye. And this is the result of gerrymandering overall. It's not fair to any side technically. This is actually a nuisance on people who say they believe in democracy, if you think about it. And what I find interesting is we haven't heard from any politician on both sides of the aisle
Starting point is 00:01:12 is in regards to introducing legislation to just ban this already. They'll wait is what I'm trying to communicate here to you. So this is a big announcement from Ron DeSantis. We knew it was coming eventually. And he has a good shot at getting this past short term. this will work. Long term, it's not a good thing for our country. Let's go to this club. We could see a whole bunch of very partisan members who only care about winning primaries, rather than general elections, which means they're catering to their bases and not to the
Starting point is 00:01:42 middle of the electorate. Yeah, and if I'm a Republican, an incumbent Republican in a very lean Republican district, I'm very anxious right now. If it's a district that Trump won by 10% or less, Republicans, as Betsy said, are very nervous about their thing. No, there's no doubt We should just point out this entire gerrymandering war is effectively going to be a wash. Okay. So that's CNN clearly trying to downplay the Republican advantage as it relates to gerrymandering. Now, the only scenario where it would not be an advantage for the Republicans in the end would be a bloodbath scenario in the midterms where you have Democrats flipping seats
Starting point is 00:02:22 that were Republican to Democrat. That would be the only scenario. And again, it's a lifetime as it relates to politics from now until November. So a lot can happen between now. But we're still obviously waiting for the Virginia Supreme Court to rule on what happened in Virginia. They're already hearing oral arguments that was today. But as I stated before, which party will be the first to introduce legislation to ban this outright? I don't think it will be Democrats, but we'll see.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Let's go to one more clip where they explain this side of it. The balance of power in Florida right now is 20 Republicans and eight Democrats. The proposed map that Governor Ron DeSantis is going to ask his Republicans in the Florida legislature, where he has a supermajority to do, is to effectively change that dramatically and give Republicans four more seats, take away four seats from Democrats. And if you look at these proposed maps, again, just proposed maps. So they're kind of an outline of something that he is released to this morning. If you look at the current districts here, which is on the left side of your screen,
Starting point is 00:03:28 you will see that to Florida is basically a red state. But there are 20 Republicans, obviously, eight to Democrats. That would change dramatically because on the right side of the screen is the new proposed maps, 24 Republicans, four Democratic seats potentially. But if you look at the area here around Tampa Bay. So bottom line here is in the end, on average, Republicans could end up with an extra five to eight seats. This is in the House of Representatives. And so depending on your political view, you may love that in the end.
Starting point is 00:03:59 But the only downside to it is that in years, as far as the elections are concerned, you might actually experience more flips because the districts have changed. And so if you get more Democrats to show out in a district that is supposed to be Republican, it could easily flip down. And that's just something that could get out of control pretty quickly. Okay. Let's go to our next door. or speaking of getting out of control.
Starting point is 00:04:25 So we talked about it earlier today regarding the rhetoric, the reaction of the failed assassination attempt or mass shooting, however you want to frame it. We know how the media loves to frame it. It was just a chaotic event. That's what they said. Now we have a new update from Caroline Levitt. She came out today with a press beefing. And now there's this whole public spat between her and Hakeem Jeffries. Let's first start with what she had to say and then I'll show you Jeffries.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Take a look. It's not just the media. It is. The entire Democrat Party has made their pitch to voters across the country that Donald Trump poses an existential threat to democracy, that he is a fascist and that they compare him to Hitler. I mean, these are despicable statements that the American people have been consuming for years. And so many mentally perturbed individuals are led to believe these words are truth and then are inspired to act on it. I have a whole host of examples that we can share with you after. It is so many mentally perturbed individuals are led to believe these words are truth and then are inspired to act on it. I have a whole host of examples that we can share with you after. It is. pages and pages of major Democrat Party elected officials saying, such as Repakeem Jeffries, just this April, this month, said, we are in an era of maximum warfare everywhere all the time. Governor Josh Shapiro said heads need to roll within the administration. Senator Alex Padilla said people are, quote, dying because of fear and terror caused by the Trump administration. Senator Elizabeth Warren, President Trump is making the country look like a, quote, fascist state
Starting point is 00:05:52 Senator Adam Schiff saying President Trump using a dictator playbook. Senator Ed Markey calling President Trump a dictator saying that this administration's actions are authoritarianism on steroids. Now, let's take a look at Kalshi.com, prediction market. And no, this isn't what the U.S. Special Forces soldier did to earn $400,000 and then get arrested by the FBI. No, Kauci is a little bit more protected in that way. Bottom line is, though, if you do want to place your bet on what's happening in politics, the elections, sports, culture, crypto, Kashi.com will do it for you. In fact, if you use my promo code DeVoree, they give you a $10 credit on your first $100.
Starting point is 00:06:34 And as you guys can see, there's so many things that you can get in on, again, like politics, elections, companies, economics. So check it out for yourself. That's kashi.com. You get a $10 credit. Okay, if you guys could recall, I made this point. on Sunday when we had to talk about this for the very first time. The problem in life is not necessarily the problem itself.
Starting point is 00:06:56 It's our reaction to it that does the true damage. You know, again, President Trump being in politics, to some people believe that is an existential threat to our country. What they're failing to realize, what's a threat to our country is their reaction to the president. I say this all the time. If Democrats have just left him alone, I don't think he'd be the president again. But they couldn't help themselves. They had to go after him. They had to amplify him.
Starting point is 00:07:24 They kept giving him attention. And we know another life lesson. Where you put your attention? That's where it grows. Never before in my life have I called for mass protest disruptions. These Republicans cannot know a moment of peace. You have Rep. Presley saying, we'll see you in the streets. Monica McIver, a Democrat representative on Capitol Hill.
Starting point is 00:07:45 We will not take this shit from Donald Trump. He thinks he's a dictator. We are at war. These are Democrat elected officials calling for war against the president of the United States and his supporters. I could go on and on. But again, when you have people in positions of power that are saying things like this, every single day for years, you are inspiring violence by people who are already mentally ill. And that's what we've seen against this president for far too long.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Yeah. Now, if you're like me, sometimes this feels like, We are literally having to watch news that are represented by a bunch of teenagers because it's a lot of talk and no action, especially on the left. They don't offer actual solutions. All they do is complain about what the president is doing. Why do you think Mondani won is because he stopped making everything about the president and he started speaking about what he would do for New Yorkers? Same thing with Abigail Scamburger. Now, obviously, it's been a complete bait and switch for those voters, but the principle is the same.
Starting point is 00:08:50 The Democrat Party has yet to just learn the lesson is stop making everything about Trump and start making everything about how you're going to help people. Now, let me give you an example before we get to Jeffries here, because I think you'll enjoy this clip. Look at this individual running for election, who she is asked point blank, what do you think should happen with ICE? Who do you think should run that operation or be in charge? And I want you to look at her reaction. You also said you're running to abolish ICE. This is something that we've heard other Democrats and activists talk about. From an immigration enforcement perspective, who do you think should be in charge of enforcing immigration laws?
Starting point is 00:09:34 It's a good question. And you can unpause because I just want to think about it for a minute. Yeah, go ahead. We need to continue, though. Okay. Who do I think should be in charge of enforcing immigration laws? Not the executive branch. So not the president.
Starting point is 00:09:55 So it belongs with Congress. It belongs with Congress. So her name is Dr. Ala Stanford. She completely malfunctioned. She's running as a congressional candidate in Pennsylvania. And it just goes to show that Democrats have no solutions. That's why I wanted to show it to you. Not only do they not have any solutions, it seems like to me she doesn't even understand the purpose of Congress.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Congress is not in charge of enforcing laws. They're in charge of writing them. So the executive branch has agencies and departments that actually apply the law. But, okay, sure. Again, no solutions, all talk. Now, speaking of that, let's go to Hakeem Jeffries. Here is his response to Caroline Levitt, who's supposed to be on maternity leave, by the way, because she's about to have a baby, but decided to do the press briefing. At any rate, here's what he said.
Starting point is 00:10:44 I think that what's interesting to me, as you pointed out, is that the so-called White House press secretary, who's a disgrace, he's a stone-cold liar, had the nerve to stand up there and read talking points being critical of statements, all taken out of context that Democrats have made and didn't have a word to say about anything that magazine. extremists have said or done, including providing aid and comfort to violent insurrectsiness here at this Capitol on January 6, who brutally beat police officers. The president then pardon those violent rioters, many of whom have gone back into communities across the country to reoffend. And as you pointed out, one of whom threatened to
Starting point is 00:11:41 to kill me. He said, kill the terrorist. Where did that language come from? What Republicans use that language? Why did that pardon MAGA extremists, violent insurrectionists, choose to use the language of terrorism directed at me when he threatened to kill me at an event? All right. So needless to say, Hakeem Jeffries is refusing to apologize for his comments, where he said we are in the middle of a warfare. And so this is the, credibility problem with Democrats overall and in politics in general is easy to say what you want your opponent to do. But for you to be the example, that's a whole other thing. So Democrats, you know, they wave their finger at Trump supporters and anybody else who does not agree with them.
Starting point is 00:12:27 But when it comes time for them to hold themselves accountable, they're refusing to do it. That's an example of that. Let me show you another one. Here's J.B. Britsker also trying to justify his rhetoric. Some of your critics may point to what you said in the state of the state last year. when you compare the Trump administration to the rise of Nazis, what would you say to that? Well, Manu, remember what I was talking about was the fact that a constitutional republic was torn apart in 53 days in Germany in the 1930s
Starting point is 00:12:56 and that we need to watch out for that in this country. That is what I was talking about. And we've seen it, by the way, that speech was given in February of 25. I think over the last year, much of what I said has been proven to be true that the institutions of the, democracy are being attacked by the Republicans and by Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Now let's go back to the playbook here. Democrats love to misdiagnose a problem that usually is manufactured. They apply the wrong solution based on flawed data. And then the results turn into a disaster. They gaslight you and tell you you are the problem. So this whole rhetoric that the president is attacking institutions when really it's institutions attacking the American people. Look at what they're doing at the universities and how they are programming kids.
Starting point is 00:13:41 to literally hate this country, or young adults, I should say, right? The polls show it. That's just one example. Okay, let's move to our next story, which is really one they should be talking about technically if they wanted to truly criticize this administration and have some credibility on the issue is in regards to Monsanto because their case is at the Supreme Court. Bottom line is Bayer, who owns Monsanto, Bayer, who is a Germany-owned company, is seeking for the Supreme Court to defend them in this regard.
Starting point is 00:14:15 If they are sued because ingredients in Roundup or any other product that they produce causes cancers and kills Americans, they should not be held liable for that. Take a listen. The company that makes Roundup weed killer will appear in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. Bayer is facing more than 60,000 lawsuits, totaling more than $7 billion over claims an ingredient
Starting point is 00:14:37 in the pesticide causes cancer. glyphosate. Justice's will decide whether Bayer should be held liable for failing to add warning labels on its product. So here's the bottom line to it. One of the ingredients in Roundup absolutely causes cancer. There's no disputing that. That's why there's a record number of lawsuits against the company. So what does a big corporation like this do? They go to the government looking for a bailout. Okay. Now, this happens in other industries as well. I mean, if you're from California, this essentially happened with PG&E, also known as Pacific Gas and Electric. This is a company that essentially was going to go bankrupt because their transformers were responsible for some of the
Starting point is 00:15:21 wildfires. And they went to the governor and the state and got a bailout and were never actually held accountable. And so the analogy here is this is what happens when you're that big. The lawsuits they pile up, and you're hoping that the government will protect you. That's why it's at the Supreme Court. The problem is that a lot of voters who are in the Maha movement, they feel betrayed by that because it's the administration defending Monsanto. And by the way, Monsanto, particularly Bayer, that is, is not an American company. It's a German-owned company.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Why are we protecting them? It's an interesting question. Watch this. We are asking one simple question. Why does Bayer deserve protection, but American families and farmers don't? A country that can't protect its children from corporate poison is not a free country. It's a captured one. In the land of the free, we're told that we have choices about our health.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Which doctor to see, which sunscreen to buy, and even whether or not to vaccinate. But when it comes to carcinogenic pesticides, The government tells us you don't have a choice. You will eat it. You will drink it. You will breathe it. They tell us to eat healthy while the fruit and vegetables that we can afford are sprayed with glyphosate that we cannot wash off. This type of story is where there should be bipartisan support to have a good faith pushback against administration on something like this.
Starting point is 00:17:00 This is not a partisan issue. This is just straight up about me and your health. There's no reason why the federal government should be protecting a company like Bayer, who's not even American-owned, as I already mentioned. It's already proven that their product causes cancer. There's no question about that. They had refused to put warning labels after they were told to do so, and they're seeking protection.
Starting point is 00:17:24 How does that work exactly? Now, I'm not trying to blackpill anybody here, but the reality here is this is what happens with lobbies. This is what happens with donors. They put so much money into our political system that they end up getting protected one way or another. Now, this is at the Supreme Court. So this could go against them, which I'm hoping, or even if it does or it doesn't, you still have Congress sitting there, not changing the law on the books to hold companies like this accountable. So this is one of those situations, if you were a Maha voter, where you don't like what the president has done.
Starting point is 00:18:01 it's similar to Iran. If you were a Trump voter, especially if you were the middle, you don't like what the president has done with Iran. But that doesn't mean we should erase all the good that has happened. Good morning, Anna. Thank you for having me. We're having a march in front of the Supreme Court so anyone in the nearby area can come and listen to speakers that'll be speaking there all morning. We're obviously do not believe that we should be giving liability protection, which is really what we're talking about. We're talking about a product that is paid out nearly $11 billion to over 100,000 claims on the fact that this product causes cancer.
Starting point is 00:18:38 It's being sprayed on 80 to 90 percent of our crops across America. When we look at the health of our children right now, we have the sickest generation of children we've ever seen in America. We now have about 75 percent of them could not qualify for the military because they have such issues with chronic disease, especially autoimmune disease. I reported on this all the back when I was a producer on the CBS talks to the doctors in 2015, the International Agency and Research and Cancer for the WHO rule that this product, glyphosate, is probably carcinogenic to human beings. That's the second highest cancer rating there is in the world. They didn't make a better product. They didn't go back to the drawing boards. They didn't fix it. But now they're
Starting point is 00:19:21 pressuring our government to say, give us liability protection, take us out of the free market system so that no one can sue us. That's anti-American. And we're standing up against it. The People versus Poison Rally today. I mean, just look at the number there, if you saw it on the screen, a $7.25 billion settlement from Roundup. That's how bad it was for them. And so this overall fundamentally is a question that should be posed to the American people, meaning, do you want to have Congress creating laws that removes liability from corporations
Starting point is 00:19:55 because either they're too big or that Congress doesn't want to deal with the headache of maybe a disruption in the marketplace because they go bankrupt. That's essentially what happens. If you think back to Barack Obama, he bailed out the banks when he should have let them fail, but no one wants to deal with that level of disruption. So they do the easy thing. We'll just bail them out. And if you go back to Bush, he did the same thing with airlines, particularly the ones that flew into the Twin Towers. The airlines were bailed out. They weren't really held accountable. And so that's what I'm saying. fundamental level as an American citizen, I think this is an issue that we should be comfortable with pushing back on, which is why I actually had one of the people who've been advocating for this Tiffany Sianci on the podcast. What we're going to do is play you a snippet from the interview, which will be going live on Spotify and Apple podcast this week. But given the relevance of this story, I thought it'd be good for you guys to watch this. Well, you have to understand kind of what brought us to this point. Right now, there has been effort after effort after effort over the last 12 months. to grant immunity to this company.
Starting point is 00:21:03 And if you don't understand immunity, I've never seen an ethical company that needed to protect themselves from lawsuits. What are you afraid of if you're not hurting people? Why do you need immunity if you're not killing people, right? And if you took two maps of the United States, one that showed the most lush, productive farmland in the United States, and you also overlaid it with a map of the highest concentrations of lymphoma
Starting point is 00:21:23 and leukemia in the United States, they are identical. Our farmers are getting lymphoma and leukemia in rates, that are higher than the general population by tens of multitudes, okay? Hundreds of multitudes in some areas. Do you think it's because of all the fresh air and fresh food they're eating? Or is it that they are forced to work with chemicals every day? Because Baramon Santo has gotten so much capture of the U.S. government that every subsidy our farmers get now is tied to being forced to use their products.
Starting point is 00:21:52 You know, what's interesting about talking about politics every day, I love stories like this because I know this story impacts everyday Americans, in their real life. They've either had a loved one who's gotten cancer because of this. Either they are in ag, maybe they are a former
Starting point is 00:22:08 themselves, and they have been subjected to some of these corrupt practices where they are slave to these companies because these companies have a hold on our politicians. This is really impactful. So it's no shocker that money is definitely driving this, no doubt about it.
Starting point is 00:22:24 And that's what Tiffany got into in this next clip. Need a vehicle that isn't afraid to make a splash? That's the Volkswagen Taos. Capable and confident, the Volkswagen Taos is fit for everyday life, nimble in traffic,
Starting point is 00:22:39 agile and tight spots, and still spacious enough for weekend getaways. While available 4-Motion all-wheel drive gives confidence in rain and snow. The capable Taos, you deserve more confidence. Visit vW.ca to learn more. SUVW, German-engineered for all.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Amazon presents Jeff versus Taco Truck Salsa, whether it's Verde, Roja, or the orange one. For Jeff, trying any salsa is like playing Russian roulette with a flamethrower. Luckily, Jeff saved with Amazon and stocked up on antacids, ginger tea, and milk. Haboniero? More like habanier, yes. Save the everyday with Amazon. That's what's happening. And so over the last year, they've been trying to force it through. First, they tried to put it through in an appropriations bill, and we were able to defeat it.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Then down in Florida, they tried to make it illegal to criticize pesticide companies, and they called it defamation. We were able to defeat it. Right. Now we were able to stop it in the house. And now what's happened is Trump has written an executive order, effectively granting them most of their liability immunity that they wanted. And then they just snuck it back into the farm bill.
Starting point is 00:23:55 And today, there was an amendment offered to eliminate that immunity. in the House Farm Bill, and it was not able to be passed through. The Republicans and one Democrat, all of them taking donations from agrochemical corporations, including Bear Monsanto, voted against that amendment to grant immunity to this evil corporation that is destroying the heart and soul of our heartland and killing the farmers that feed this country. Bottom line to this story here is that we are hoping the Trump administration, the federal government will protect the people and their health before they protect the bottom line of a company like Monsanto.
Starting point is 00:24:31 And I have to say this as well, because I know I may have quite a few people who are much older than I am watching the show. This ain't 1950. This is not 1980. This is 2026. The industry has changed and not for the better as it relates to people who are growing the food, but for the better of the organizations who are investing in these chemicals and things that these formers are using so that they can maximize their bottom line.
Starting point is 00:24:57 That's the difference. That's why food has dramatically changed. It's not the food you grew up eating anymore. It's a totally different thing today. And that's why Americans are sicker than any first world or developed nation. We are the sickest country out there, but we're also the richest country. How do we make sense of that? Okay.
