Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, so in breaking news, Congresswoman McLeaver just received bad news from Nancy Mays. She just filed a resolution to have her expelled from Congress. Also, Tom Homan made an appearance on MSDNC. You got to see how that went. And the big, beautiful bill, Republicans are still on Capitol Hill trying to get this push through. We're going to provide an update. The New Jersey Democrat Congresswoman La Monica McIver made her first court appearance on assault charges of an ice age. And look at this chaotic.
Starting point is 00:00:24 She had some nerve there attacking a federal agent there. The only words she spoke during the hearing today were, quote, Yes, Your Honor. She was then released on her own recognizance. Joining me now to discuss this case and more. Criminal Defense Attorney Randy Zellon, also with us. Another attorney, John Jordan. Thanks, guys so much for joining us. Thank you for having me.
Starting point is 00:00:44 John, if anyone else did this, they would, I mean, this is serious what she did here. Congresswoman Nancy Mace, she just filed a resolution to expel McGuiver. What do you think happens next? Well, the court system is going to have to have it say. All of these law enforcement agents have body cameras. It's going to be an abundance of evidence for this. And for the statute to apply, there doesn't necessarily have to be physical contact. It can be intimidation or the threat of contact for assault, both the common law and under this statute, to apply.
Starting point is 00:01:17 And remember, people went to jail for this because of January 6th as well. People do all the time for this. And so the evidence is going to be abundant and very visual, but the problem may be the forum that she's in. Is this going to be politicized because of where she is? We're going to have essentially jury nullification. That's why it's going to be interesting. Well, it seems that bad news keeps coming for the congresswoman because Nancy Mace today filed a resolution to have her expelled from Congress.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Now, right up front, I don't believe it's going to go anywhere. I'd be shocked to be proven wrong. But I'm going to use ground news that you guys see on the screen here to go over some of the facts. If you guys want to follow along, just go to ground. dot news 4 slash devori to check it out for yourself. This tool will help you see what both sides of the political spectrum is saying about the stories they are choosing to report on. And in this scenario, only the right is talking about this story, which is why ground news shows you that in their bias distribution tool. 50% of the media outlets that lean right. They're the ones covering
Starting point is 00:02:14 this. The left, only 17%. I think you know why. Now, speaking of the left, let's hear what they had to say. This is MSNBC reacting to this announcement. Take a look. Nancy Mason's filed a resolution to expel Congresswoman McIvor? Your response to that resolution, and then what else are House Democrats going to do? Because all last week, I heard privately from Democrats said this would be a red line. Well, the Trump administration has now crossed the red line. What are the consequences for that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Well, let's work backward here. First, these charges are so politically motivated. It is the most transparent attempt to say to members of Congress, that had the legal, explicit legal right to be there. They were actually announced, had an appointment, had been waiting an hour and a half to tour this facility quietly. But they're trying to say, we get to tell members of Congress
Starting point is 00:03:12 when they can have their rights, what oversight that they have the right to do. We will tell them what they can do, and we will make an example of LaMonica McIver. And we are going to say that is absolutely transparent abuse of power and that we are not going to surrender. All right. So the fact of the matter is this is a perfect example of what Ground News calls Blind Spot, where only one side wants to talk about this story. Now, I'm going to show you a clip from Tom Holman coming up here because he goes on MSNBC and confronts them over this.
Starting point is 00:03:46 But before we get there, understand this. Ground News will help you see what both sides are saying. So you can think for yourself and make your own decision about. what you believe to be is true don't believe me don't believe mainstream media do your own research ground news will help you do that so if you want to use this tool for yourself all you have to do is go to ground that news 4 slash devori or you can download the mobile app just use promo code devori and it's going to give you access to everything that i showed you in this video including 40 percent off the vantage plan she put hands she shoved an officer she put hands on her officer that's
Starting point is 00:04:19 unacceptable these ice officers and when you when you cause a ruckus like that Then that makes that facility unsecure, because officers who should be dealing with the prisoners, very serious prisoners of criminals in that facility, they're dealing with the ruckus south side. It makes the facility unsafe. It's unsafe for the officers. It is unsafe for the general public. We take the security of those facilities very seriously. She knows how to do oversight.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Go there and request to look at it. Don't barge your way in. And regardless of what happens, you don't put hands. and you don't a shove an ICE officer who's there to protect the facility and protect the public from the people in that facility.
Starting point is 00:05:02 You think DOJ will win that case? What I saw, I think she put hands on an officer, she shoved an officer, she needs to pay the consequences, absolutely. Now let's exercise some common sense here. Out of all the people that DOJ could be using resources to prosecute
Starting point is 00:05:19 and hopefully put behind bars, I'm sure you would agree this congresswoman is not at the top of the list. So yes, there is a political element here. But again, she's on footage, pushing and shoving an ICE officer. So if people want to file an official resolution to expel her, it's in their right to do so. I wouldn't cry and say, oh my God, you guys are just trying to go after her for political reasons. Again, there's evidence showing she committed a crime. Okay. And if it was me or if it was you, I truly believe we would be prosecuted. happen with people on January 6th. You heard the clip at the beginning of this video. I'm just saying
Starting point is 00:05:58 that as an example. I'm not equating the two. But here's Congresswoman Nancy Mace and the copy of it. The bottom line is here she says no one is above the law. Assault is a crime. The American people deserve better. I truly believe. I think the American people deserve the Justice Department to focus on things that will actually move the needle. Like, I don't know, Epstein files for an example. Now, let's hear more of this back and forth with Tom Holman and MSNBC because Because I'm telling you, they're doubling down on this weaponization narrative. Take a look. But just to finish the point here, when you look at the investigations, it's a lot of critics of Donald Trump and Democrats.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Can you think of her name any public official or individual who's in these crosshairs other than those folks? I've got some up on the screen. It goes from Cuomo to Comey to Springsteen at this point. those who those who break the law should be prosecuted and i don't know if any of these people have been prosecuted that list i'm looking at the screen now of any of them people have been prosecuted other than the congresswoman and other than two judges that uh impeded law impeded ice and try to harbor and conceal only go alien and impede their enforcement efforts so no i that list shows i can't see everybody on that list but
Starting point is 00:07:17 Are you telling me everyone that's been indicted? No, it says investigations. They'll be arrested if they violate the law. No, it's investigations, but the fact that so many in these first 110 days, some of them which are announced on social media or other avenues before the defendants or even read their rights and given information raises the question that it looks like to some that this is political targeting. The ACLU says it's autocratic targeting.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Yeah, so what we could see here in our first story is what mainstream media is leaning towards now. this point. Again, we talked about it earlier. Their objective is to frame all of these prosecutions as President Trump has now weaponized the DOJ against his political opponents. And what I find fascinating is the people who are complaining about this are the same people who were cheering on the justice system under President Biden when they went after President Trump. Remember, all of these people that you saw on the screen there were in that clip, they weren't booked into a county jail. They didn't have to take a mugshot and they were not convicted on 34 felony counts, right? So it's rich actually coming from them that they are accusing Trump of doing this.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Now, Tom Holman ends up saying this as a response. Take a look. And you respond tonight by saying, well, they did it. The Democrats did it. Well, if they did it, that's your view, does that make it okay? That's what I'm asking. I said, wait a minute. I said I find it shocking that they were accused of Trump administration of weaponizing against their opponents when they did the exact thing during the Biden administration. I'm not making any comparison. I'm just saying I find it shocking if they didn't make that claim when they did it for four years. I'm not making any claim.
Starting point is 00:08:52 We're weaponizing anything. I don't think president's weaponizing anything against this political opponents. We're enforcing the law. We're investigating crimes. If there's evidence that crime has been acted upon, then they need to be charged. In the last four years, we heard no one's above the law. We're either our members of Congress, either our judges, and either are other people. You cross the line, you violate law.
Starting point is 00:09:14 you should be indicted. You should be charged. Maybe he shouldn't invite him back onto his show because he just ended everything, okay? What I mean by that is everything that MSNBC is claiming that, you know, Trump is weaponized the government. They use 11 different examples on the screen there. Two of them did commit a crime because they were helping illegal aliens evade arrest. I mean, that is a crime. No way about it. Let's not compare that to almost 2,000 people under the Biden administration who were prosecuted, whether that was nonprofit groups, the Catholic Church, the pro-life groups, the Christian colleges, January 6th, right, business associates of President Trump, his family. I mean, we can go on and on and on.
Starting point is 00:09:51 There's no comparison. So, again, it's just rich coming from them that they believe what President Trump is doing is weaponizing the justice system. So we're worried about people in one party and criminally investigating people in another party now? That's good. That's good to know. These are enemies of people who have been very outspoken against. regardless of a political party. To Ellie, you listen, there's evidence in all three cases.
Starting point is 00:10:14 McIver, there's a video. If you went to a facility and put your hands on a federal agent, I mean, you might be in jail right now. Number two, or me too, a regular person. Number two on Cuomo, pretty strong evidence. There's also been multiple investigations on Cuomo, including by the IG. Number three, number three.
Starting point is 00:10:32 On Tish James, I was under the impression that in the state of New York, if you mess up some paperwork, whatever, around some kind of a financial transaction, that that was worthy of, one, two, 34 felonies. And so I'm just saying all these people have done things. I think they're worthy of investigation. I don't know what's going to happen to it, but they're not being targeted because they're Democrats. They're being targeted because there's lots of evidence. Okay. Yeah. I mean, Scott Jennings, he sums it up every single time. And again, this is Democrats getting a taste
Starting point is 00:11:00 of their own medicine because they would say the same thing if they were in power and they started investigating President Trump again, because we know that's what's going to happen. As soon as he obviously vacates the White House, they will try to come after him if J.D. Vance does not win the presidency. And I'm just assuming that he would be the nominee. All right. So now in our next story, this is developing because Mike Johnson, House Republicans, Democrats are all still on Capitol Hill right now as we speak, because he's hoping to actually pass this bill out of the House and move it over to the Senate. That is the big, beautiful bill. So let's talk about that. a couple of updates on this and the resistance still with conservatives against this bill take a listen
Starting point is 00:11:41 here since 1 a.m. Eastern a marathon session held on Capitol Hill over the present big beautiful bill the question for them how to pay for the bill the marathon was in the house rules committee that very powerful committee that sets rules for debate and controls which bills reach the house floor to get voted on and when they get voted on the rules committee started its session on the multi trillion dollar budget bill 1 a.m. this morning They work through the night, through the morning, and into the afternoon, bringing us right to the present time. Are they finished or did they hit a brick wall? Congressional correspondent Kilmany Dukhar joins me.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Kilmany. Greta, good to be with you. They're still there. They're still going, as evidenced by the coffee cups, the sodas, and the cans of Celsius. And, of course, the tired lawmakers and journalists that continue, of course, to stick it out through this hearing. But House Speaker, Mike Johnson, telling reporters here at the Capitol that he does believe they're going to land this plane. Still no play call on whether this vote is going to happen tonight or tomorrow. Now, imagine if they spent that amount of time on other pieces of legislation that we know
Starting point is 00:12:45 the American people demand. I'm just, I had to say it. Okay. Now, here is Mike Johnson. They caught him in the hallway. And he was given an update on where they're at, where he thinks this is going to go. I think the bottom line is, do you believe it's going to pass? Let me know in the comment section below. But here is the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, saying this. Take a listen. that this is resolved but I think we can we can resolve their concerns and it'll be probably some combination of work by the president in these areas as well as as it here in congress and so executive orders there may be executive orders relating to some of these issues in the near future and you know this is a commitment the president has made he wants to go after
Starting point is 00:13:27 fraud waste and abuse he wants to make government leaner and work more efficiently and effectively for the people the america first agenda is wrapped up into this one big beautiful bill, and that's why we call it that. And I believe it's going to be, as I've been saying for a long, long time you've all heard me say. I think it will be one of the most consequential pieces of legislation in Congress has ever passed, and it's going to do great things for every American. Now, what's interesting is what Hakeem Jeffries had to say, because according to him, number one, he's not voting for this bill, which is to be expected. But number two, he wants to duke it out with Speaker Johnson in a debate over this bill,
Starting point is 00:13:59 which I don't think is really going to happen, but okay, sure. The bottom line is this. The tax cuts at a minimum should be passed and made permanent. We know that. And the other reality is, and the other reality is here, and the other reality is that because this bill includes all of these things they want to do, it makes it that much more difficult for them to pass it. And so that's just what it is. Now, here is what Hakeem Jeffries had to say earlier today.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Well, thank you for providing this opportunity for us to have this discussion. But one person is missing. Speaker Mike Johnson, over a month ago, I asked our distinguished colleague from Louisiana, the Speaker of the House, to debate any of us, but certainly myself, on the House floor, about this very bill. He believes it's one big, beautiful bill. We believe it's one big ugly bill. That's going to hurt the American people.
Starting point is 00:15:03 hurt children, hurt families, hurt veterans, hurt seniors, cut health care, cut nutritional assistance, explode the debt by a minimum of $3.8 trillion. This is being done by people who claim to be the stewards of fiscal responsibility, $3.8 trillion, dollars, if not more? And so the offer still stands. I'd love to have the opportunity to debate Speaker Johnson any time, any place. Right here at the Rules Committee, or certainly on the floor of the House of Representative, not a duel, a debate of ideas. Ladies and gentlemen, if you do your own research, you know how much the debt went up under Joe Biden, $8.4 trillion. But Hakeem Jeffries is crying about $3.5 trillion. So how do you
Starting point is 00:16:06 square that exactly? That's number one. Number two, what happened under Biden is what actually hurt everyday Americans. What happened to Main Street? How many restaurants do you know that went out of business over the past three years? I want you guys to think about that. Let me know in the comment section. And it's fascinating that Democrats have nothing to say about Main Street or manufacturing jobs. But they cried when it came to Wall Street and the stock market recently. You see, it's funny. All you have to do is think for yourself. These guys are a joke. Now, here's what the Trump administration has to say. This is Kevin Hassett, giving a prime example of what's in this bill. Pay attention to the details that he provides Chris Cuomo. Take a listen. And the bottom line is that
Starting point is 00:16:44 this is a bill that's ready for the next version of America, which is a lot of onshoreing of activity, but also big, big tax cuts for the people who need a boat. So we've got tax reductions for people who earn overtime. And I met with the president of the UAW in my office a week ago to talk about the hundreds of dollars a week for many people that's going to save. We're cutting taxes on Social Security people. I think one of the biggest tragedies of economic policy in America is that some people retire for Social Security. They don't have enough money. They want to go back to work.
Starting point is 00:17:16 And then all that work that they get is taxed. If they make an extra dollar, they lose 50 cents and they get taxed on the rest of it. And there's no tax on tips. And so all of this stuff is helping middle-class Americans get back to work. And that's really great for the economy. But also, the Big Beautiful Bill has a lot of beautiful stuff in it that nobody's talking about, which is another one of your themes. And so one of the things I like the best is that for every baby, it's in the bill, every baby born in America, then the minute they're born, the government creates a $1,000 account, puts it into the stock market for them so that they've got it when they retire. and then they get to look at that account on their iPhone or their phone for the rest of their
Starting point is 00:17:53 lives and see what America is doing for them. Now, to make sure you guys understand exactly what he just said, it's called MAGA accounts, money account for growth and advancement. And they are designed to promote long-term savings and financial literacy among future generations. Now, I'd be shocked if this makes it to the end. I'm just telling you, because I don't think people in the Senate are going to go for this. But the bottom line is this, if you're born after January 1st of 2025, the federal government will contribute a one-time $1,000 deposit into an eligible child's account.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Family, friends, employers, nonprofit organizations could contribute up to $5,000 annually to these accounts, and also funds would be invested in low-cost U.S. stocks index funds allowing the money to grow over time. You could partially redraw it between the ages of 18 to 25, additional funds become available after the age of 25, and the full access to the account becomes available after the age of 30. Now, that is a very clear plan that Republicans are offering. Whether you agree or disagree with it, that's fine. But at least they're offering something concrete.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Can someone show me something that the Democrats have offered in reference to this bill? All right. So now it's time for you guys to react to this video in the comments section below. Let's start with the first announcement, which was Nancy Mace, and the resolution to expel Congresswoman McLeaver from the House. I mean, let's see if that actually goes somewhere. number two you saw tom holman and how he just put the smackdown on ms and bc let me know how you feel about that and then this big beautiful bill i think the one thing i liked that i just heard was the maga accounts let me know what you think about that just put all your thoughts and answers in the comment section below
Starting point is 00:19:30 all right so in our next video that you're going to want to check out for yourself is from big tish letitia james the new york attorney general who for some reason thought it was a great idea last night to admit out loud that she made a mistake when it comes to those mortgage documents that she's being charged for which is committing a crime, fraud. And I believe she's actually admitting this crime. And so if you want to dive into that story and more of what happened earlier today, all you have to do is click on that video
Starting point is 00:19:55 because it's coming up right now.
