Starting point is 00:00:00 In today's video, Mondani is facing more backlash, as new homeless shelter may open up next to a preschool and another stabbing on the subway. Eric Swalwell has finally responded in a video to his accusers, and J.D. Vance has made history in the peace talks with the country of Iran. Let's start with what's happening with Zoran Mandani. Take a listen. Socialism running amok in the Big Apple, a Brooklyn homeless shelter battle is entering a new phase as New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani advances this delayed project. Now, last week, construction on a controversial all-male homeless shelter restarted in the middle of the night, despite the project having been stalled after two years of protest. Now, those same residents were not happy by the surprise, taking to the streets, as you can see here, to protest the shelter. If completed, the $4.8 million shelter could house up to 150 single men. And the city claims it will be a high-quality shelter with on-site case managers, but residents are worried for their safety and they have a right to be upset because the shelter, look at this, is a short walk from a preschool.
Starting point is 00:01:06 It's a similar story in Staten Island. Residents and politicians taking to the streets to protest a proposed all-male homeless shelter on the South Shore. The new facility, which is expected to open in 2027, will have 160 beds for men experiencing homelessness while either employed. or seeking employment. In its proposed site, yet again, here you see it, sits next to children. In this case, a dance center, a cheer facility. Yeah, so I think it's abundantly clear. This is another disastrous decision from the mayor as he continues to face repeated backlash, whether it's banning people from celebrating the 250th birthday of United States of America
Starting point is 00:01:45 in Times Square or the poor response to the latest stabbing on the subway, which we'll get to. And now this, this homeless shelter is next to children. You think he would say, hey, listen, I'm all for homeless shelters, just not at this location, if that makes sense. Well, Congresswoman, I certainly want homeless to have a place to shelter. That's not the issue here. But why are you building this by a dance studio? And why do you need so many homeless shelters? I guess it's the consequence of socialism.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Look, this is not about compassion. It's actually about corruption, I believe. I mean, if you look at these contracts, this has become a business in the city of New York. There are contracts that I've seen where we're talking $4,000 to up to $11,000 per unit, per unit. That is so much more than my constituents are paying their mortgage every month. This has become a real business here. And it started with Bill de Blasio. Bill de Blasio, under him, we had about 50,000 homeless individuals housed in shelters across the city.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Now it's up to 100,000. It has doubled. And Mayor Mondani, since being put in office, he's already prepared. post three new shelters in my district. And the last one that was not mentioned here is one where it was a veteran and senior citizen facility where they kick those residents out, including a World War II veteran, and turned it into a migrant shelter. And now he wants to expand that contract. And the cost will be nearly $10,000 per unit per month when you break down $65 million contract. So $65 million. And no wonder Mondani is coming out.
Starting point is 00:03:20 publicly and using the words, I want to get this right, quote, worse than broke is what he had to say about the finances of New York City. Well, I suppose that we're going to continue to see that because you not only want to cap rents, but you want to raise property taxes. You also want to tax the wealthy, which will cause them to leave, of course. It's also on record that he's already introduced $23 billion worth of new taxes in that city. So it's no question. He has some problems on his hand financially, but also as it relates to crime. I mean, we, just had this ridiculous story of a seven-month-old baby
Starting point is 00:03:53 being killed in broad daylight. Now we have this new story of people being stabbed on the subway that led to an officer killing this criminal. Take a listen to this story. It's breaking right now in New York City. The NYPD is investigating after an armed suspect acting erratically,
Starting point is 00:04:10 calling himself Lucifer, stabbed multiple people this morning at Grand Central Station. It's a busy place. And then he was shot and killed by officers. The The victims are 84, 70, and 65-year-olds, and they are all thankfully in stable condition. So there were three total victims, one 84-year-old man, a 65-year-old man, and a 70-year-old woman. We're taken to local hospitals with stab wounds.
Starting point is 00:04:35 They're in stable conditions, so that's great. His name is Anthony Griffin, 44 years old, had three unsealed prior arrests, according to the NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish. And he boarded the train around 9.30 a.m. and then lost it essentially. I mean, that's what's really going on here. And the responding officers gave them more than enough time to give up, and then they ultimately had to fatally shoot him. And so why the mayor is so focused on these social justice programs,
Starting point is 00:05:04 why can't he just, for the first hundred days, make the subway system safer? I just don't understand it. Maybe you guys can explain it. The individual refused to comply with at least 20 orders to drop the night. officers also attempted to deescalate and offer assistance saying, we are going to get you help. He then advanced toward the officers with the knife extended. One officer discharged his firearm striking the perpetrator twice.
Starting point is 00:05:37 So the mayor there, Zoran Mamdani, is speaking out. He says he's grateful for the NYPD's quick response. Unclear right now what led to the stabbing as the investigation continues. All right. So just briefly, do you guys notice the shirt that I'm wearing? It's by nine line apparel. I've been wearing these almost every single day because not only do I love them, they're high quality. And they come from the great state of Georgia, military owned and operated, giving back to our heroes and armed forces. And I'm calling on you that if you want to represent something and you want to wear clothing that truly meets your values, nine line apparel will do it for you. Use my promo code. You can get 15% off. Link is in the description of this video. Nine line apparel. What you says a lot about you. Yeah, I'm sure he is happy about NYPD's response, even though he really does not honor not only their sacrifice, but the good work that they're doing on those streets. Now, let's go to this next update. This is a reaction to the bombshell story that came out yesterday about Eric Swalwell and how his election campaign for California governor has come to an end.
Starting point is 00:06:39 He issued a statement last night in a video, and I'm going to have to ask you guys, what is your reaction to it? I'm not buying it, but you let me know how you feel about it. Here is the video of him reacting to this news. Take a listen. A lot has been said about me today through anonymous allegations. I thought it was important that you see and hear from me directly. These allegations of sexual assault are flat, false. They are absolutely false.
Starting point is 00:07:04 They did not happen. They have never happened. And I will fight them with everything that I have. They also come on the eve of an election where I have been the frontrunner candidate for governor in California. I do not suggest to you in any. way that I'm perfect or that I'm a saint, I have certainly made mistakes in judgment in my past. But those mistakes are between me and my wife. And to her, I apologize deeply for putting her in this position. I also apologize to you if in any way you've doubted your support for me.
Starting point is 00:07:37 But I think you know who I am. For over 20 years, I have served the public. As a city councilman, as a member of Congress, and as a prosecutor who went to court on behalf of victims, particularly on behalf of sexual assault victims. That's who I am and have always been. This weekend, I'm going to spend time with my family and friends. And I appreciate those who have reached out to me to show support. And I look forward to updating you very soon. Well, I can tell you this update, anybody who's worth anything to the Democrat Party
Starting point is 00:08:11 has already come out publicly and denounced him and said they call forward to investigate. Now, here's the other problem with that type of rhetoric, especially from someone like Hakeem Jeffries who did call for an investigation. They're not calling for him to resign. So they're already missing the boat here, right? They pick and choose. And I would actually argue they already knew this was going to happen. They were prepared for this announcement. That's why everyone had everything to say at a moment's notice.
Starting point is 00:08:37 You think that is by accident? I don't think so. All right. Let's go to Representative Anna Paulina Luna saying exactly what Democrats should be saying. I want to pull up the statement from Democratic leadership in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, among them. Here it is. Following the incredibly disturbing sexual assault accusations against Congressman Eric Swalwell, we call for a swift investigation into these incidents and for the congressman to immediately end his campaign to be California's next governor. Look, of course, you're always innocent until proven guilty and investigation is merited.
Starting point is 00:09:09 But my question is the end part. So they want him to end his campaign for governor, but yet he should remain in Congress, over which they have jurisdiction to call for action? Yeah, it's completely inappropriate. And I think next week, you know, as you stated, I will be filing a motion to expel Eric Swalwell. It is unacceptable for him to just index his campaign for governor in California, but still sit in the House of Representatives. Meanwhile, he was allegedly harassing and potentially raping his own staff.
Starting point is 00:09:42 But Kaylee, he's not the only person. And so I do believe as a result of me triggering this motion to a motion to expel. I believe there will be another motion to expel a Republican member of Congress who who has since announced that he will not be seeking reelection. That would be Representative Tony Gonzalez and ultimately at the end of the day. This is about accountability for the American people. This should not be happening in the House of Representatives. It is unacceptable. And frankly, I don't think that they deserve taxpayer dollar paychecks while they're going through all this. Well, she's absolutely correct about that. But here's the troubling thing for the Republican Party.
Starting point is 00:10:13 They have someone just as nasty as Eric Swalwell by the name of Representative Tony Gonzalez, who dropped out of his reelection campaign, but he has not been called to resign as a congressman. He is not even being investigated to potentially be expelled from Congress. And this is a man who had a sexual relationship with his staffer that led to her committing suicide by lighting herself on fire. But nothing to see there. That's the problem with Congress. You think Eric Swalwell is the only person up to, is, is. is guilty of doing things like this? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:10:46 I think what happened was they told him they did not want him to be the next governor of California. He refused to go along with what they wanted. And so they took care of him. Here is Representative Summerlee, who's radical herself, saying this about Eric. Take a listen. These women, these survivors, these victims,
Starting point is 00:11:04 they're hearing. It's important to us. And I think that sometimes we need to re-sensure that. That one would hope that where allegations like this come up, that the person would do the right thing. but then they didn't do the right thing in the first place if these are credible. So, yeah, I think it's incredibly troubling. And it does make me think more about what we are doing here around the Epstein vows,
Starting point is 00:11:25 why we are fighting so diligently for them to be released. It's because we want to create a world where women feel confident that they can come forward and that there will be accountability, where perpetrators no longer feel that their power would put them in a position where they could, even ever feel that they'll be able to get away with something like that. And the only way that we are able to create that world is if we create support and reinforce the mechanisms for accountability. So I look and I believe that there should be, of course, a full investigation. Of course, this should be taken seriously because this is a man who is now in a position of power and is seeking more.
Starting point is 00:12:03 So, yes, I'm 100% for accountability, for transparency, for responsibility, and also for the support systems for all the women who have come forward. If only they had the same level of energy for what's happening with this entire Epstein debacle, they have yet to subpoena some of the people who have already been named publicly. I have not seen a congressional hearing of them being dragged in front of the American public to answer serious questions. Democrats are not serious. But, Congressman, should he drop out of the race at the very least, while this and whatever investigation, whoever needs to look into it, should do that.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Should he be the standard bear? I do not believe that it is possible for him to move forward and honor whatever investigation would go forward. This is going to be a very painful moment for the people who have come forward. And if he is still running for governor, I don't under, I don't believe that that would be respectful of this process. So no, I don't think that he should continue on. Well, regardless of people's opinions, here's something that is an objective fact.
Starting point is 00:13:06 The Manhattan District Attorney's Office said on Saturday, It is now investigated an allegation of sexual assault against Representative Eric Swalwell, a day after CNN reported that a former staffer for the congressman accused him having sex with her when she was unable to consent. This is being reported by CNN of all people. So things are obviously going to get worse for him. And I would argue that if they're going to treat Eric Swalwell this way, which he deserves every bit of it, they should be treating everyone else the same way. So again, I just want to highlight that.
Starting point is 00:13:38 including this new video that's circling on X. Again, some people are arguing it might be AI. Some people can't confirm. This video was already sent to the campaign. He has not responded. So as you see this video clip, take it for what it is. An unconfirmed video of Eric Swalwell, essentially cheating on his wife. She happens to be a sex worker. There's someone else on the bed with him. She's on her cell phone. I mean, listen, all I can say is if you're you're running to be the next governor of California, please, you might want to clean out the skeletons of your closet or don't have any. You know, you think they would have learned this lesson already, particularly Eric,
Starting point is 00:14:20 after his whole Chinese spy scandal, but I guess not. ...united, because of remember, this whole goes back to, and here's the list, that you would think that that screen would be just overwhelmed with every Democrat leader of any stature, particularly the entire delegation of California Democrats demanding accountability. Because remember, if you go back to the height of the Me Too movement, there was a tweet that isn't aging well from then- Congressman Eric Swalwell. In 2018, he put this up there, a simple message, support survivors, believe survivors, we are with you. Turns out now, not one, not two, not multiple women are coming forward with the behavior that he allegedly did from rape to unsolicited
Starting point is 00:15:08 photo. Okay, so let's go to our next story. And this is involving the peace talks in Pakistan. This is where the vice president has taken center stage. He has made history as the highest ranking individuals to ever be a part of peace talks between the United States of America and the country of Iran. And, you know, so there's history there. But we're not hearing as far as Are the peace talks successful? Had they come to an agreement? That hasn't happened yet. So let's hear what they do have.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Take a listen. The big development here is that these are in-person talks. No more note passing around. That's right. The talks have lasted over two hours before just a few minutes ago, breaking for dinner with Pakistan's prime minister. And Vice President J.D. Vance is now the most senior U.S. official to meet an Iranian delegation face-to-face.
Starting point is 00:16:01 since the Iranian Revolution in 1979. And as the official delegation arrived in Islamabad under Pakistani F-16 fighter escort jets sold to Pakistan by the United States decades ago, the stakes are high for Vice President Vance, the biggest assignment of his career trying to end the six-week-old war with Iran. As technical talks have been underway on the future of Iran's nuclear program, there are also questions, just like you asked the president, about opening the Strait of Hormuz. The sizable Iranian delegation that arrived here is led by Parliament Speaker Mohamed Galbath. He is the former mayor of Tehran, a veteran of the Iran-Iraq War in the 80s, and commanded Iran's air force.
Starting point is 00:16:39 With the therocracy shattered Iran after the killing of Ayatollah Ali Hamenei, some think Iran more resembles a military junta right now. And as the talks proceed here in Islamabad, they've been stretching out now, as I mentioned for over two hours. There are some indications they could stretch into a second day, Aisha, that could be a very good sign, a potential deal. unfolding. Yeah, see, this entire situation has done a couple of things for people who are in the observation mindset and not the judgment mindset. Is it expose a lot of commentators out there and what their true colors are and how they just move with the wind, wherever the wind goes, they follow. It also continues to demonstrate how the president will present himself publicly and essentially how that is different than the way he behaves behind closed doors when making a decision like he did
Starting point is 00:17:25 to wipe out the Iranian leadership, particularly the late Supreme Leader, and what went into that type of decision? And then, of course, how the media covered it all in a sympathetic way to the country of Iran. And as I get into this, I think it's really good. We listen to this carefully and how social media has really programmed people to see things in such an ignorant way. Let's first go to Michael Schmachaner on CNN earlier today, who had this to say about the idea in regards to the country of Iran potentially having a nuclear weapon. And if they did have one, what they would do. More social media reaction. I've got time for another one, I think.
Starting point is 00:18:06 What do we have? Does anyone really believe Iran was going to nuke the USA? Well, let me answer it this way. Do you believe, given what we've seen of Iran's conduct since the war began, do you believe that they wouldn't? use a nuke against the USA. I don't. Do you believe in what you've seen from Iran that they'd never use a nuke against Israel? I don't believe that. If anything, the war has convinced me that they are capable, that they are willing to use that kind of weapon if they had one. Yeah. And the reason why that type of question is relevant, because based on the intelligence that the president was given,
Starting point is 00:18:46 It was the first time in a very long time that the leadership of Iran would actually meet together in public above ground. So if you're the president of the United States knowing how dangerous they are, would you pull the trigger and take them out? Well, he believed he should have. Netanyahu believed he should have. And of course he did. But a lot of his cabinet did not agree with this decision. So it goes to show that the president is actually willing to listen to different opinions and views. And that doesn't sound like someone who the media wants you to believe is erratic and flies off the handle. And they're all basing it clearly off his true social posts, which begs the question, why does the president write those things?
Starting point is 00:19:26 Well, I think he just gets off on it, in my opinion. Let's go to more of this reporting about what really went into this decision from the president. Take a listen. The New York Times published a deep dive by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, sharing reporting from their forthcoming book, regime change. This was a granular reconstruction of Trump's decision to go to war with Iran. For example, Haberman and Swan didn't just summarize what happened on February 11 when Benjamin Netanyahu came to the White House to sell an attack on Iran. They detail what was said by each participant in the situation room and also exactly where in the room everybody was seated.
Starting point is 00:20:08 By this account, Netanyahu and Trump were aligned in hawkish thinking. But there was skepticism raised by Trump's team. The following day when the Americans met without Israeli counterparts, CIA director John Ratcliffe told Trump that Netanyahu's regime change scenarios were farcical. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, it's bullshit. Vice President J.D. Vance was the most doubtful of the group, quote, nobody in Mr. Trump's inner circle was more worried about the prospect of war with Iran or did more to stop it than the vice president. General Kane, chair of the the Joint Chiefs said the Israelis, quote, oversell their plans and are not always well developed.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Notably by this account, Trump was dismissive of Cain's concern that the Strait of Hormuz might be blocked by Iran. So let's just pause really quickly here. So it's clear that when you have Netanyahu and the president involved in hawkish thinking, as Michael put it, it obviously gives some level of credibility
Starting point is 00:21:08 to people who continue to believe that Israel is the one controlling the president. The problem with that statement in regards to the context of Iran is that the president has always felt the same way about Iran even before he became president the first time around. We can go all the way back to the 80s where he said the country of Iran should never have a nuclear weapon. And he's not the only politician to screen that over and over and over again. You've seen the clips from Hillary Clinton, et cetera. So, yeah, on one hand, you could say that. But I think if you're using nuance, you find out that's.
Starting point is 00:21:43 That's not really the case. He had agency here. He felt he had to do this. Based on this next clip where Michael goes into the intelligence that the president received, take a listen. And then in the final days of February, new intelligence revealed that the Ayatollah would be meeting above ground with other top officials from the regime in broad daylight and wide open to air attack. The president gave Iran another chance to strike a deal. But Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner reported from Geneva that the Iranians were playing games. On February 26, another meeting in the situation room ensued.
Starting point is 00:22:18 And during the course of an hour and a half, the president said he, quote, wanted to go around the table and hear everyone's views. Vance repeated that an attack on Iran was a bad idea, but that he'd support the president's position. After CIA director Ratcliffe discussed the stunning intel that the Iranian leadership was about to gather above ground in broad daylight at the Ayatollah's compound, the White House counsel David Warrington,
Starting point is 00:22:43 offered the opinion that the plan being presented to the president was legally permissible. General Kane told Trump, he needed to decide by 4 p.m. the following day. Abort Air Force won the next afternoon, 22 minutes before Kane's deadline, Trump gave the order. Operation Epic Fury is approved. No abortes. Good luck. I don't think that the Times reporting was a result of leaks. I think the administration wanted this story in the public domain. In contrast to those offensive and intemperate truth social posts, which were intended for Tehran, this window into pre-war decision-making was for the Americans. It shows airing of competing views, some open to dissent, reliance on legal counsel and a deliberative
Starting point is 00:23:31 process, not the impulsivity with which Trump is so often associated. There's nothing in the Times behind closed doors account of an unstable Trump. Trump, at the same time that he was playing the madman card in public. You'd expect the guy that posts about a whole civilization dying would be simultaneously busting up the White House furniture. For all the failures of the New York Times, you think they would have reported on his erratic behavior behind closed doors if they did, if they went to all this trouble to write this story. But that's my thoughts about this entire video so far.
Starting point is 00:24:05 What are yours? What do you make of this latest update and the story about the president what led up to the decision. What do you think of Eric Swalwell's response? And then what do you make up Mondani again facing more backlash as a new staffing has occurred on the subway? Give me your thoughts, everything you got in the comments section below. So this takes us to our next video where the victims that are alleging that Eric Swalwell raped them actually delivered an interview with CNN. And so if you guys want to take a look at that and see what they had to say, click on the video because it's coming up right now.
Starting point is 00:24:41 You know,
