Starting point is 00:00:00 In today's video, the president issues his final threat to Iran, 8 p.m. Eastern time tomorrow. Also, Mondani continues to issue his wokenest policies yet, and 60% of Gen Z is turning to blue-collar work. Why is that exactly? Well, we'll answer all of this in today's video. But let's start with the mayor of New York City. Here's what he had to say today. This preliminary racial equity plan is the first step in developing a whole of government approach to tackling that reality. It is a plan that lays out these first steps to solve decades of neglect and discrimination, and it places the work of 45 city agencies within a singular framework.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Too often, the story of Black and Brown New Yorkers is one of being forced to stretch that same dollar that a little bit further. Every year as wages stagnate, as well as an exodus and exclusion continues to take place. All right. You guys have heard it now. I wanted to get to the part where he had mentioned black and brown people. So this is why we'll get into that Gen Z story coming up here shortly. But bottom line is this. Socialists believe first in identity.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Your skin color is the first metric that we look at when judging everything wrong or right in our society. So it's no secret why he's doing this, right? Racial equity plan to address affordability. It's in the name, folks. He's saying there's something wrong with skin colors and it's not balance in New York City. And that's why people can afford to live in New York City. So that's where we're at with this mayor and, you know, people in New York are just going to have to buckle up because it's going to get a little crazy here. All right.
Starting point is 00:01:45 So let's hear a little bit more about this plan. Now, as we finalize this plan, we will continue to tackle our city's affordability crisis without turning away from the decade. and frankly centuries of disinvestment in black and brown New Yorkers. Now, we will need New Yorkers help with this work. The plan we are announcing today is a preliminary one. And to complete it, we are opening a 30-day public comment period. Now, I know one thing we love about the city is we have no shortage of opinions. And we are asking New Yorkers to share them with us.
Starting point is 00:02:20 So when I hear racial inequity, it literally makes me cringe because the inherent premise is that, hey, because it's someone's skin color, they don't have access to the same opportunities. Yeah, they do. They have something that no one can take from anyone, and that is a mind, right? God has given us this intellect that allows us to think for ourselves. It's our thoughts that influence our behaviors. And if your behavior doesn't match success, you're not going to achieve it. And you can't act like a successful person if you don't think like a successful person. And why would you think like a successful person if you're eating up the propaganda from someone like Zoroamandani. That's what people get wrong in politics. They literally think socialism is going to be the answer.
Starting point is 00:03:06 And then when you tell them it's not the answer because of history, they say, well, socialism just wasn't applied correctly. Okay, don't you think that tells you everything you need to know? If it hasn't been applied correctly, maybe that means we can't apply it correctly because it means it can't be applied correctly. not if you want the people to benefit. Now, if you want the government to benefit, yeah, they can absolutely apply it in a way that benefits them. Okay. So who's the person in charge of this program? Well, I think when you see her, you won't be shocked.
Starting point is 00:03:42 This plan was born during a defining moment in our city's history. When New Yorkers were in the streets in the midst of a global pandemic, calling for justice, demanding accountability, and bearing witness to brutality and folding on our streets and on our screens. In that moment, our city was asked to reckon with the deep systemic inequities that have long-shaped life here and to do better. New Yorkers across all five boroughs answered that call. Their voices, their advocacy, and their persistence are what brought us to this moment. The release of the preliminary citywide racial equity plan is a reflection of that collective
Starting point is 00:04:16 mandate. It is not just a document. It is a commitment. She's the chief equity officer in case you guys missed that announcement. and he appointed her, I think, a couple months ago. And, you know, he's got to be one of the wokeest mayors out there besides maybe Karen Bass, because they lead with racial identity first. They don't lead with results.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Listen, you can even make this debate and argue against merit. Merit is not always going to get you the results. I hope you guys do understand that. You can get a person who's really qualified, but they have poor executional skills. you can get someone who isn't qualified, and for some reason, they can get the results of what you're asking for. Any business owner knows exactly what I'm talking about. And while he's announcing all of this, this is the crazy part about it all, while he's announcing this program and spending more tax dollars on things that will not get results, like, you know, $200 million to put up cat calling posters around town,
Starting point is 00:05:17 but not cracking down on people who are literally shooting each other in broad daylight. that led to the killing of a seven-month-old baby? This happened in South Williamsburg, like I said, these teens. I mean, 17, 18-year-old individuals arrested over this. How do you see this going forward? First of all, it's heartbreaking to watch this, to be in New Yorker my whole life, to see this, to see what this city has become. And what's really sad about it is the fact that we just hear this on the news and we've just
Starting point is 00:05:47 become sensitized to this, right? To the effect where we accept it and it's tolerated. we have a new mayor who's essentially talking about defunding the police as we know it. Not seeing it directly, but indirectly in terms of creating different departments or department of community affairs or whatever he's going to do to take resources away from the police. I think we need more resources for the police dedicated on the street. And I think at this point right now, we need to address this directly. I like to mention that this unfortunate circumstance happened during a press conference between the mayor, and the police commissioner is saying that crime in New York
Starting point is 00:06:24 went down. Yeah. Crime in New York went down and at the same time there was another shooting. There were actually two shootings in the same day. This is horrible and we cannot accept this. We need more from our leaders. This episode is brought to you by Tell us online security. Oh, tax season is the worst.
Starting point is 00:06:40 You mean hack season? Sorry, what? Yeah, cybercriminals love tax forms. But I've got Tellus Online Security. It helps protect against identity theft and financial fraud so I can stress less during tax season or any season. Plans start at just $12 a month.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Learn more at talus.com slash online security. No one can prevent all cybercrime or identity theft. Conditions apply. After 19 years, they're back. Frankie Munis, Brian Cranston, and the rest of the family reunite in Malcolm in the middle, life's still unfair. After 10 years avoiding them how and lowest demand Malcolm be at their anniversary party, pulling him straight back into their chaos.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Malcolm in the middle, life's still unfair. A special four-part event. Streaming April 10th on Hulu on Disney Plus. Yeah, but then you guys turn around and you vote for him. So how do you explain that? All right? You explain it because mayors continue to fail that city. That's how you explain it.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Eric Adams failed New Yorkers, no doubt. When you come out the gate and you dedicated billions of dollars to paying illegal aliens and housing them in luxury hotels, you've literally lost the plot. You've forgotten what it means to be the mayor of New York City, literally. Your first obligation as any government official is to what? Public safety to the people you represent and to make sure their well-being is priority number one.
Starting point is 00:08:06 That's not what Eric Adams did. So then, in a time of desperation, New Yorkers turned to someone who's even more dangerous. It's literally like a movie if you think about it. And there's always a good part of the movie, which takes us to our next story about Gen Z. 60% of them are moving towards blue-collar jobs and trade jobs because they're seeing the scam that is also known as college. Take a listen. More Gen Zers are ditching college for trade jobs as university sticker prices surge and AI threatens the value of some traditional degrees.
Starting point is 00:08:41 And joining us now is someone who knows that firsthand and his name is Mike Rowe of Mike Rowe Works Foundation. It's so good to see you. I guess one of the reasons that everybody's talking about this again is that it's what's being spoken at dinner tables all across America. When you look at this, George Mason University, so I'm saying George Washington University, the cost to attend in 26 is $98,165. The medium household income, Mike, is $83,000. And that gave everyone a little sticker shock. What do you think? Well, the math ain't mathin.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Right. I mean, this is so typical of virtually every cycle and every industry that I know of that just comes right up against the inescapable truth that your widgets just too damn expensive. You don't need to be persuasive with the argument anymore. You just need to show that graphic and let regular people add and subtract. All right. Let's take a moment and talk about something serious. How many of you guys have been punished because of your credit? What am I talking about? You're out there, you're working hard, you're making money. Then when you try to go get a car, an apartment, or a home, you get denied. It's the ultimate frustrating experience.
Starting point is 00:09:59 This is where kickoff comes in because even though you may make a lot of money, the system sees you differently based on your credit score. Kickoff is a simple, affordable way to help you to start building credit the right way. Plan started at just $5 a month, no credit checks, no hidden fees. and the key on-time payments that actually build up your payment history and strengthen your credit profile over time. And it's very straightforward. You set it up, your turn on auto pay, and you let it work. Users started below the credit score of 600 and have seen real progress within their first month of staying consistent. So if you're serious about improving your financial situation regarding your credit,
Starting point is 00:10:37 go to getkickoff.com 4 slash deborries. Scan the QR code on the screen. You can get your first month for as little as $1.1. That's getkickoff.com for slash divorce. Users must sign up via getkickoff.com for slash divorce to activate offer. Offer applies to new kickoff customers first month only. Subject to approval, offer subject to change. Average first year credit score impact at plus 84 points.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Vanted score 3.0 between January, 23 and January 2024. For kickoff credit account users who started with a score below 600, who paid on time and who had no delinquencies or collections added to their credit profile during that period, late payments may negatively impact the credit score, individual results may vary. $98,000. What could you do with an extra $98,000? Excuse me, where's the $98,000 actually going? That's another good question.
Starting point is 00:11:24 See, this is the area of this administration that I have no patience for. I will criticize all day long regarding this issue. I think the president should have went 10 times harder against universities. I think they're a problem. I think they are not a net positive at this point. unless you're talking about specialized education, I'll listen to you. But if we're outside of that, universities are a problem. They are becoming a nuisance, a disease on our society.
Starting point is 00:11:52 There's no reason why a young kid should go into a university and after four years come out and hate the country. Come on. We're doing something wrong here. We shouldn't hate our country. I mean, I think that's a huge red flag. And for what? $98,000?
Starting point is 00:12:10 $60% of Gen Ziers will pursue blue collar work this year. I mean, that's a number that I wonder how that compares to how when you start in MicroWorks Foundation. But also I want to show you this because AI and whether people see that as a threat to their job prospects, no threat at 23%. A threat at 59%. So that's almost the exact same number, Mike. hand and glove. This is all going to go in lockstep, you know, and it's like, on the one hand,
Starting point is 00:12:41 you're turning a tanker around, and to your point, I've been watching this thing turned for 18 years at MicroWorks, and people kind of patted me on the head 18 years ago, and so it's a nice idea, this whole notion that you might be able to prosper by learning a skill instead of assuming the debt. It takes time, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:02 all great truths, if I can speak that in my mind, modestly have to go through this period of absolute denial and sometimes ridicule. But look, I literally sat across from Larry Fink at Black Rock, weirdly enough, last month, in front of a room full of grownups. And he's literally saying, Dana, that we are looking at a $10 trillion new infrastructure in this country. And that buildout is happening now.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Give you an example of what he's referencing. $275,000 a person can make if they want to get into an electrician work for data centers. You want me to say that again? $275,000. It goes back to what I said. No one needs a handout. The opportunities are there. The opportunity is there for the person who's seeking it.
Starting point is 00:13:51 This is not cliche stuff. It's not woo-woo stuff. This is real life. The person who's the squeaky will, the person who's really to take a risk, the person who's willing to move out of their city and go wherever they need to go, and do whatever they need to do, we'll get that $275,000. No one's going to stop them, except themselves.
Starting point is 00:14:11 That's the abundance that exists in the United States of America. And the fact that 60% of Gen Z is leaning into blue collar work, that means they're catching on, way faster than millennials did. When people talk about the scam of college, it kind of misses the point because it suggests that there are a bunch of people trying to figure out how to how to soak the American public with crazy student loans and so forth. But I think the real thing going on here is that for a very long time, we thought about college the way we think about gyms.
Starting point is 00:14:47 You know, like you join a gym. You pay a lot of money for the right to go into a building where there's a lot of equipment, and then maybe you use it or maybe you don't. Maybe you get a great trainer or maybe you don't. But at some point, we can do that calculus and then ask ourselves, well, you know what? Is $100 a month too much? Is $50? Too much a month?
Starting point is 00:15:11 That's what's happening here, except the stakes are much larger. And we're realizing that the act of paying for your degree and attending the school itself is in no way commensurate with the speed with which you might attain enlightenment. It's just the way it is. And now you throw on this preponderance of real opportunities. in the real world that don't require that four-year degree or that crushing cost, the way is clear. The way forward is obvious. So if you think about it, if you're a young guy out there, you shouldn't be afraid of anything. Your eyes should be wide open and you should be excited because the opportunities are just abundant.
Starting point is 00:15:52 You can literally do anything you want. But let's take a step back here. What should you really do? well, you should do what's in your skill set, what you actually care about doing. Now, there's a lot of people out there that says, well, you shouldn't follow your passion. I actually disagree with that. I think what should happen is you should be passionate in what you're doing. And here's the other thing.
Starting point is 00:16:14 This is what people miss too. Just because you're great at something doesn't mean you should do it. What do I mean? Well, you could be 6'10, be very athletic, and be great at basketball. That doesn't mean NBA will be your life. Why? Because you may not even love it to begin with. We know a lot of athletes who are in that position today.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Yeah, they make a lot of money, but they're not happy. So it's all going to come to an end and then what? You see, the unlock for life is when you can connect what you're great at and also be passionate in that. Now, let's shift gears to our latest update regarding Iran. It comes from the president himself because he hosted a press conference in the White House press briefing room. He took questions, and some people are actually accusing the president of committing war crimes. In fact, they say he's issuing illegal orders.
Starting point is 00:17:12 So I guess it's up to you to figure out who do you believe. So let's go to the president. Here he is clarifying why he extended the deadline for Iran to tomorrow night, 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Take a listen. Your messaging on the war has moved from the war is coming to an end to we're going to be bombing Iran to the Stone Ages. We've heard a range of those certain messages.
Starting point is 00:17:34 So are you, so which is it? Are you winding this down? Can't tell you. I don't know. I can't tell you. Depends what they do. This is a critical period. They have a period of, well, until tomorrow at 8 o'clock, I gave them an extension.
Starting point is 00:17:49 They asked for an extension of seven days, right? I said, Steve, give them 10 days. Ten days is up actually today, so I gave my 11, I guess, indirectly. I thought it was inappropriate the day after Easter. I want to be a nice person. They have till tomorrow. Now, we'll see what happens. I can tell you they're negotiating.
Starting point is 00:18:12 We think in good faith. We're going to find out. We're getting the help of some incredible countries that want this to be ended because it affects them also. A lot of people are affected by this. But we're giving them till tomorrow 8 o'clock, Eastern Time.
Starting point is 00:18:31 And after that, they're going to have no bridges. They're going to have no power plants. Stone ages, yeah. Stone ages. That last comment from the president actually mirrored something he put up this morning, or excuse me, yesterday on Easter regarding Iran. He said, Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day, all wrapped up in one in Iran. There will be nothing like it.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Open the effing straight, you crazy bastards. You'll be living in hell. Just watch. Praise be to Allah, which was a. sarcastic remark. Now, obviously, everybody lost their mind. They were triggered over the statement, but we already know who the president is. We know his personality. I don't know why people are shocked by that statement to begin with. It's fascinating the way the media loves to cover this. They act like everything that comes out of the mouth of the president is brand new. The man has been
Starting point is 00:19:18 repeating himself longer than I've been alive, but fine. Okay. So we know how he feels about Iran. And that's why, as you guys can see, Representative Jason Crowe accuses the president of a war crime to bomb schools, power plants, and bridges. Here he is backing that up today. Take a listen. Do you believe illegal orders are being given? It's hard for us to tell because we're not getting the briefing and in the information that the Intelligence Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and Congress needs to receive to make that
Starting point is 00:19:49 determination. I am gravely concerned by this president's comments about bombing electrical infrastructure, desalienization plants. I mean, that would be on its face, a violation of the laws of war and would be a way. war crime. He is continuously threatening to commit war crimes, whether it's shooting, you know, protesters in Lafayette Square, which would actually be a crime against U.S. federal law, sending troops to polling stations, which also would be a violation of U.S. federal law. He has said he's going to kill the families of terrorists, which would be a violation of the laws of war, and of course,
Starting point is 00:20:22 now with Iran. This is a president that has shown a complete disdain for the rule of law, for the Constitution, for the laws of war. And we have to stand up. up with unbelievable voices, Republicans, Democrats, Americans of all stripes, and condemn what the president is saying and say, we will not tolerate it and we will seek accountability if he moves forward with it. And at the same time, I stand by that video that we filmed last year in telling our service members, they have an obligation to the rule of law, into the Constitution, and that must always be their North Star. So the fact that the matter is this is nothing new. America has targeted power grids in the past before, just so we're clear. The real question isn't if it's done. The question is how it's done. And again, there's no confirmation that he's really going to do this because he's made as many threats as a person can make against that country. And quite frankly, I have not actually seen them deliver on any of these threats at this point because we're still involved. I mean, I'm just being objectively fair here. And under international law, it only
Starting point is 00:21:28 becomes a war crime if civilians are the target or the damage is disproportionate. So again, you guys have to make up your own mind if you believe if he executes these strikes against their electric infrastructure, is that a war crime? Now here's what the president had to say about those allegations. Take a listen. You've said Iranians would be mad if you stopped these attacks. But why would they want you to blow up their infrastructure, to cut off their power? Wouldn't that be punishing Iranians for the actions of the regime? They would be willing, just They would be willing, and it's suffering. They would be willing to suffer that in order to have freedom.
Starting point is 00:22:02 The Iranians have, and we've had numerous intercepts, please keep bombing. Bombs that are dropping near their homes, please keep bombing. Do it. And these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding. And when we leave and we're not hitting those areas, they're saying, please come back, come back, come back. These are the people. I don't know what they do. All I can tell you is they want freedom.
Starting point is 00:22:30 They have lived in a world that you know nothing about. It's a violent, horrible world where if you protest, you are shot. And right there, he's making the case that taking out their electric infrastructure would be a military advantage and would not actually disproportionately hurt the civilians in regards to the country of Iran. But that's obviously up to debate, and that's based on which way you lean probably and whether or not you support this or don't support what's happening there. So this takes us to MS disinformation because they did their job today. They went to, it seems like a restaurant or bar, maybe the American Legion or something of that nature, a veterans bar or organization. And they asked veterans whether or not they supported what the president is doing and if they would actually support strikes on electric.
Starting point is 00:23:23 infrastructures. Take a listen. What do you make of the press conference that we just watch and the details that we learned about this rescue mission? I really didn't learn a whole lot more than I already knew. They threw out some numbers, which I didn't know about. But other than real details as to how this came about, I didn't really learn a whole lot. And had you told me that if you were a reporter in that press conference, you would want to know what the goal of this war is. Did you get any light on that question? No. No, I did not. Ed, thank you so much. Okay, so according to him, he doesn't believe or he doesn't think there is a goal here. He hasn't heard it. Listen, I guess it's up to your interpretation. I understand what the goal here is,
Starting point is 00:24:13 which is a clear regime change to remove their ability to create a nuclear weapon. I mean, I don't know how else clear you can make that. You may not agree with it. You may may believe they don't even have this capability. You may think it's all a scam, but I do believe the goal is very clear here. Okay. So I don't know who he's listening to. I probably argues, probably listening to MS. Disinformation every day, and they're not going to actually share the goal from the president. We know that for a fact. So let's go to this other vet. Here's what he had to say. I also wanted you to Rick Schemeck. Rick is an Air Force vet as well. He's also the commander here. Rick, we heard President Trump being asked about.
Starting point is 00:24:53 blowing up civilian infrastructure, the bridges and the power plants. And he argued that's not a war crime. I mean, what do you make of President Trump's rhetoric on that issue? Do you think that is the way the commander-in-chief should be conducting himself in this war? I'm totally against it. It's not a war crime. I mean, how do you win a war by destroying the country? He even said it.
Starting point is 00:25:20 It would take years to rebuild the infrastructure. that he wants to blow up tomorrow. So let's hope they negotiate and this never happens. Now, my question for him is, what did you have to say about 2016 and 2017 when we blew up a serious infrastructure because of ISIS? I mean, or Iraq, for an example.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I mean, I hope he's consistent in his position here. I mean, it's not an automatic war crime. It's all based on what I already laid out for you guys. Is it a military advantage? Will it be a disproportionate, harm to civilians, etc. So, you know, again, it's the person asking the question the way he's asking it in my opinion, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But I think this next clip shows you the mindset and how they perceive this administration, particularly Pete Heggsat. Watch this.
Starting point is 00:26:12 And Rick, I also heard when Secretary Heggseth was praising President Donald Trump about this rescue mission saying that this rescue mission couldn't have been done without him. I heard you grumble. Here we go again. What do you make of Secretary Hagseth and his leadership right now? It's the same as before. He's a cheerleader. He's a cheerleader.
Starting point is 00:26:33 But I was impressed by General Kane and by them telling us in CIA the details of the rescue. I was very impressed. That was very American thing to do. Well, based on his logic, everyone is a cheerleader in that administration. And let's not act stupid. here. We understand who the president is. He wants to be respected. He wants to be praised. That's his personality. So, of course, they're all going to lead with that. I don't know why he had a single Pete Hex. I thought, oh, yeah, that's right, because the person asked him. The questions made it all about that.
Starting point is 00:27:05 And that actually about the success of the mission, of course, that is, whether that was rescuing the pilot and how complex and difficult it was in comparison to Abigate, where we lost plenty of service members there. And it was a catastrophe and a failure. but, you know, again, this is the partisanship we have in the media when it comes to covering President Trump, especially this conflict. So I guess I'm going to kick it over to you. Give me your thoughts about all of this in the comment section below. What did you make of the update from the president today? Do you think he will deliver on his threat by tomorrow, 8 p.m. Eastern time?
Starting point is 00:27:41 Or what do you think is really happening here, right? Maybe he's playing a game with the media and really there's other things happening behind closed doors. and even the allegations of war crimes, which I don't really buy into. And then we talked about 60% of Gen Z years going to blue-collar work, which I think is great news. And then the bad news is what Mondani is still up to. Give me your thoughts, everything you got in the comment section below.
