That sofa was four days old. You should have ordered from Wayfair.
Starting point is 00:00:38 With Wayfair, there's no what if. Just style you love and quality you can trust. Visit Wayfair. Wayfair, every style, every home. This is beyond disgraceful, which is why the mayor of New York City, Zoroamadani, is facing some serious backlash. He is right now sitting behind George Washington's desk, trashing the United States of America, particularly our 250th birthday. And we're going to react to it. Let's start with this first clip where he says America has white supremacy towards immigrants. Them tells us makes our freedom a little more free. And yet the irony is that the story of America has so often been written by those who were told by others with power and influence and wealth that they were anything but exceptional.
Starting point is 00:01:19 For generation after generation, we have been told that when the world has sent its people to our shores, it has not sent its best. Let's just pause. I want to make sure I clarify this point. The founding fathers, I think their message is what matters more than any politician in history because they got it right. Man is inherently flawed. We're sinful, of course. We're greedy. We're ego driven, right? I don't base my identity, my value as a human being, particularly on politicians. I base it obviously on Christ and what the founding fathers wrote in our Constitution and declaration. of independence. I think that's where people should be focusing their attention on, but he has a different point of view. Puritans and Sikhs and Quakers and Muslims and Jewish people who were banished for praying the wrong way. As we mark 250 years, what do we see? We see a city of contradictions within a nation of contradictions. We see the wealth. As we mark 250 years, what do we see? We see a city of contradictions within a nation of contradictions.
Starting point is 00:02:26 We see the wealthiest country in the history of the world, one where children go to sleep hungry, while the world's first trillionaire hungers for more. We see monopolies. So he decides to issue this announcement in an effort to, I suppose, celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country by trashing Elon Musk, who has actually held way more people than Zoro Mondani ever has. I mean, that's not even up for debate. I mean, just think of Tesla as a vehicle.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Think of Starlink as an internet service at this point. Think of Space X and what it's been able to do regarding satellites, militarily, and other countries, might I add, no one's come close to Elon Musk. So the fact that he's a trillioner, I think, speaks to his level of contribution. And he didn't steal the money. It came because people put their money into that business. the stock market. But, you know, he doesn't want people to understand the details about how Elon Musk became a trillionaire. He just wants people to see Elon Musk as the problem and the villain, instead of seeing socialism as the problem.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Dominate every industry and oligarchs who buy elections. We see mass agents terrorizing our streets, eating food cooked by our undocumented neighbors before spiriting them away in unmarked man's. We see a nation whose immense wealth has been built by those with calloused, dirt street, streets hands, those who toil on factory floors and chisel into stone. And we see a nation that has allowed so much of that wealth to be held instead in the soft hands of a precious view. So this reminds me of the state of the union from Joe Biden. I think it was in 2023, where he had like the red colors behind him. He looked like he was speaking from a communist stage. And he has such a pessimistic attitude, particularly from people who obviously lean right or
Starting point is 00:04:21 supported the president, especially people who say they're MAGA. That's what this comes across. This doesn't come across as I'm inspired, right? This comes across as, hey, if you are affiliated with Elon Musk, if you are affiliated with the tech industry, you're a problem in this country, okay? And if you're an undocumented migrant, particularly if you're in the country illegally, this is about you. We're here to celebrate you. That's really how it comes across. And for the record, So many men and women have bled for us to even have the freedoms we do today, especially the fact that New York City can elect a Muslim mayor and he can come out and say that particular message. It seems like he's missing a great deal amount of gratitude. But that's just me.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Okay. So let's go to Fox News because some of them and their point to be on what he had to say. I mean, it's just craziness. So here's what she had to say. We need more John Federman's calling out the socialism and fewer mom donnie's in elected office. That's the first time I had seen those comments when you played them, Emily. And it makes me angry. It makes me angry to see someone who took advantage of the American dream, who's a recipient of it.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Mamdani and his family came to this country, and he is now mayor of the greatest city in our country, the biggest, the beacon of freedom. We have the statue of liberty right behind us. And the fact that the mayor of this city where the statue of liberty stands fails to understand liberty, fails to understand that this is a beacon of freedom, that when the world didn't have, have a place where you could celebrate being free from an autocrat or a king. Yeah, and that's the problem in America is most people don't even know about American history. They know of it. They have some flashes of it, but no one's really, for the most part, I'm talking about,
Starting point is 00:06:06 especially in today's academia, most younger people are not truly understanding or learning the real history of America. What they're getting is a history of America from an activism lens, right? So it makes people naturally negative towards the country. But even as a person who clearly is black, I don't have any negative bones in my body towards this country. One, because I never had to experience slavery. Two, even if I had, my great-great-grandmother was a part of slavery, what does that got to do with me today exactly? as an American citizen. And number three, more importantly, as I stated at the beginning of the video, the founding fathers wrote exactly what we needed to aspire to. But it wasn't going to happen
Starting point is 00:06:58 overnight. So it took the tragedies. It took the contradictions. It took the dark times for us to finally step into these roles, essentially, or the image that the founding fathers had laid out for us. And I don't think someone like Mondi or any of these social, rather appreciate that growth. That we know that because that's not what Mondani's talking about. He's more talking about the grievances. So he knows what he's doing here politically. Yes, we see America in a health insurance industry that exploits the sick.
Starting point is 00:07:30 But that is not all we see when we look for America. We see it too in the nurse who works a double shift and then stops on our way home to check on an ailing neighbor. Yes, we see America in corporate landlords for whom negligence is a business model. We see it too. and the father who tucks his children into bed, beneath a ceiling stained with leaks, who wakes before dawn to go to work
Starting point is 00:07:50 and still believes his country can do better by his family. Yes, we see America when we spend our tax dollars on bombs and bailouts, when we sell our elections to the highest bidder. Now, the interesting thing about what Mondani is saying there is most of that is true. I mean, I don't have any beef with people who criticize our election system
Starting point is 00:08:11 in regards to the money that is involved, But the only people you could truly blame for that is the Supreme Court. And according to the U.S. Constitution, it's not a violation of it. So it's just one of the tradeoffs of us being in a constitutional republic. Okay. We could either have it this way, I suppose, or we could have it the communist way, where it's not even about money at that point. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Or we could be like Russia, where someone could be the president for decades on end. I don't think we would probably want that as Americans. But again, lack of gratitude. lack of perspective. But I lack of perspective. All right, let's go to this reaction, which comes from the late great Charlie Kirk, who I'm so inspired by. And this clip, I think, is a careful reminder why America is the greatest country. America is the greatest country ever to exist. What country would you say is the greatest? What makes the country great? Most productive, most accepting, most generous.
Starting point is 00:09:12 the United States of America has always done, has always made the greatest decision. Because nobody's perfect, right? I never said America was a perfect country, ever. Why do you go to that extreme? Because from an objective analysis. Objective analysis. Correct. A world history.
Starting point is 00:09:29 We are the most creative, the most accepting, the most benevolent, the most generous, most forward-thinking and productive country ever to exist. And that's the mental concept that most people miss in politics, especially when they're guilty of being in this tribal attitude. They don't understand the word comparison. Okay. We are the most generous country compared to Russia, compared to Europe, compared to China, compared to Africa, you know, any of those countries on that continent.
Starting point is 00:09:57 We can go on and on and on. I mean, we are the most accepting. Think about how many people from different backgrounds, different skin colors, different religions, ethnic groups that have migrated here to America. Now, ask that same question of other countries. It's not even close. But as you can see, the look on this individual's face, that is the reaction because they have the wrong perception of our country. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Let's go to this reaction from Chase Gallagher. I think he's misreading the room. I mean, I had a long conversation with a friend of mine who's a Democrat who does not like President Trump, but makes it very clear that he does very much love this country. And that's kind of where they're missing the vote here. because he says this whole concept this whole concept of okay we have to hate on the country to make it really evident that we don't like the president and we are against everything and that's not the case and what mom donnie is doing here is trying to say that this country's not good enough he's trying to say that instead of everybody getting the same opportunities he wants everybody to get the same
Starting point is 00:10:59 outcome and that's the wrong way to approach this it really yeah because you can't control outcomes we talk about all the time and just think of the level of entitlement the arrogance where these individuals believe that they can control outcomes as if they are God. Now, in a constitutional republic, we can absolutely ensure people have the same opportunities. In fact, I would argue today that absolutely exists. Generally speaking, now, whether or not someone's going to take advantage of that opportunity, that responsibility is on them, and that comes from what's happening inside, particularly up here. And that's something the government's never going to be able to fix.
Starting point is 00:11:38 That's why we talk about marriages. That's why we talk about strong homes, strong leaders, all of that in someone's environment contributes to what's going on up here. So a lot of times Mondani and these people who have such a negative attitude of America, they want to blame the institutions. They want to blame the external. And they never give any attention to the internal, which is the one thing that we all can control. And I think absolutely dictates the outcomes that we experience in our lives. And so I think we as a country need to look at the, at the woman in Massachusetts who said, hey, this is not about not decorating our booth down at
Starting point is 00:12:13 the Great State Fair. This is about coming together as a country. If you want to stand and fight and make the country better, stand and fight. But don't bash America as a way of thinking that this is the way that we can really achieve our power and what we want to achieve. Yeah, it's as if, you know, if you're playing football, right, you have one team versus the other team. Well, imagine if one team hated the other team, but they hate it the league more. You're not going to accomplish anything,
Starting point is 00:12:45 right? And they almost admitted out loud at times where they want to blow this whole thing up, right? Because they don't believe the founding fathers got it right. They believe they're flawed. They believe what's written in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence is flawed. And they definitely don't have
Starting point is 00:13:00 much respect for the former presidents and our founding fathers who came before us. And they definitely don't give any attention to the people who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us to be where we are today. So, you know, that is the reality to it. But where I want to actually wrap up this entire story is with something tangible. And that is what the president had to say during an interview today this morning on CNBC. Remember, Trump accounts is something that starts with $1,000. Multiple corporations are now contributing to this Trump account. So it could actually increase
Starting point is 00:13:31 more. Babies are eligible for it if they're born after July 1st of this year. And if the parents decide, and that's if, because financial literacy, you know, that's a big thing, depending on the culture, if they contribute to this over the 18 years of that child, and when they turn 18, I mean, they could really get a head start on life. And the government's literally stepping in here and doing something that parents should have been doing this entire time. And here's what the president had to say about all that. He said, no money. And when that baby becomes a man or a woman, they can have hundreds of thousands of dollars, maybe more, but they can have hundreds of thousands of dollars
Starting point is 00:14:15 because we're seeding it. And guys like Michael Dell and Susan, his wife, they were so strong for it. But think of it, he's putting up $6,250,000,000. That's tremendous amount. I don't care how rich you. That's a lot of money. and he wants to do it again.
Starting point is 00:14:33 And others are. So again, I just spoke literally, just spoke yesterday to Micron, hot company, great guy. What a great guy. And he said, we're putting up $250 million into the Trump accounts. So many companies are doing that. And, I mean, kids that won't have any money when they turn 18 or 21 have a chance of being sort of rich. it's an amazing thing and it's been very successful. Absolutely. I'm totally with them because if you just do the math properly,
Starting point is 00:15:07 imagine if you could start your life at 18 years old with at least six figures in a bank account. How does that happen exactly? Well, the initial deposit from the federal government is $1,000. If you contribute $5,000 on an annual basis for 18 years, that individual, when they turn 18, could be sitting with $146,000. imagine starting your life with that or your adult life. The reason why I wanted to show you guys this clip and make this point is because when you hear something like this, that doesn't sound like in America that is filled with white supremacy and is, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:45 looking to target people and, you know, it's a dark country and sounds like there's something tangible that cross the political spectrum we should be celebrating, right? But that's the problem with being tribal in America. America. That is the problem with how divisive things have gotten. And Mondani, he is the mayor of New York City. Can't take anything away from him. He's the guy in charge right now. So if this is his message that he want to come out, come out right before July 4th, an issue, it's going to be on him. I don't think it's going to play well overall. I don't think it's going to help him overall. It may ramp up the people who already support him. But if you're looking for someone to lead this country
Starting point is 00:16:25 and be a net positive to this country, that'd be the last message you would come out with. On July 16th, the Hawk lands on Netflix. From the mind of Will Ferrell. Oh, mama, I'm back. Come in a new original series. Get ready, get ready. That's it.
Starting point is 00:16:56 Did I stutter? When an iconic pro golfer. Lonnie. Lonnie. Hocked! Takes one last swing of greatness. You were a big shot golfer. I still am a big shot golfer.
Starting point is 00:17:06 No one. Dad, I'm the Hawk now. We'll stand in his way. That's how it's done. The Hawk, only on Netflix, July 16th.
